Youtube daily report Sep 5 2017

Consider the classic white t-shirt.

Annually, we sell and buy two billion t-shirts globally,

making it one of the most common garments in the world.

But how and where is the average t-shirt made,

and what's its environmental impact?

Clothing items can vary a lot,

but a typical t-shirt begins its life on a farm in America, China, or India

where cotton seeds are sown, irrigated and grown for the fluffy bolls they produce.

Self-driving machines carefully harvest these puffs,

an industrial cotton gin mechanically separates the fluffy bolls from the seeds,

and the cotton lint is pressed into 225-kilogram bales.

The cotton plants require a huge quantity of water and pesticides.

2,700 liters of water are needed to produce the average t-shirt,

enough to fill more than 30 bathtubs.

Meanwhile, cotton uses more insecticides and pesticides

than any other crop in the world.

These pollutants can be carcinogenic,

harm the health of field workers,

and damage surrounding ecosystems.

Some t-shirts are made of organic cotton grown without pesticides and insecticides,

but organic cotton makes up less than 1%

of the 22.7 million metric tons of cotton produced worldwide.

Once the cotton bales leave the farm,

textile mills ship them to a spinning facility,

usually in China or India,

where high-tech machines blend,

card,

comb,

pull,

stretch,

and, finally, twist the cotton into snowy ropes of yarn called slivers.

Then, yarns are sent to the mill,

where huge circular knitting machines

weave them into sheets of rough grayish fabric

treated with heat and chemicals until they turn soft and white.

Here, the fabric is dipped into commercial bleaches and azo dyes,

which make up the vivid coloring in about 70% of textiles.

Unfortunately, some of these contain cancer-causing cadmium,

lead,

chromium,

and mercury.

Other harmful compounds and chemicals can cause widespread contamination

when released as toxic waste water in rivers and oceans.

Technologies are now so advanced in some countries

that the entire process of growing and producing fabric

barely touches a human hand.

But only up until this point.

After the finished cloth travels to factories,

often in Bangladesh, China, India, or Turkey,

human labor is still required to stitch them up into t-shirts,

intricate work that machines just can't do.

This process has its own problems.

Bangladesh, for example,

which has surpassed China as the world's biggest exporter of cotton t-shirts,

employs 4.5 million people in the t-shirt industry,

but they typically face poor conditions and low wages.

After manufacture, all those t-shirts travel by ship, train, and truck

to be sold in high-income countries,

a process that gives cotton an enormous carbon footprint.

Some countries produce their own clothing domestically,

which cuts out this polluting stage,

but generally, apparel production accounts for 10% of global carbon emissions.

And it's escalating.

Cheaper garments and the public's willingness to buy

boosted global production from 1994 to 2014 by 400%

to around 80 billion garments each year.

Finally, in a consumer's home,

the t-shirt goes through one of the most resource-intensive phases of its lifetime.

In America, for instance,

the average household does nearly 400 loads of laundry per year

each using about 40 gallons of water.

Washing machines and dryers both use energy,

with dryers requiring five to six times more than washers.

This dramatic shift in clothing consumption over the last 20 years,

driven by large corporations and the trend of fast fashion

has cost the environment,

the health of farmers,

and driven questionable human labor practices.

It's also turned fashion into the second largest polluter in the world after oil.

But there are things we can do.

Consider shopping secondhand.

Try to look for textiles made from recycled or organic fabrics.

Wash clothes less and line dry to save resources.

Instead of throwing them away at the end of their life,

donate, recycle, or reuse them as cleaning rags.

And, finally, you might ask yourself,

how many t-shirts and articles of clothing will you consume over your lifetime,

and what will be their combined impact on the world?

Captains Müller and Hummels spearhead big Germany win - Duration: 1:28.

No fewer than four Bayern players were involved in Germany's commanding 6-0 victory over

Norway yesterday evening: Joshua Kimmich, Sebastian Rudy,

Thomas Müller and Mats Hummels, who took the captain's armband in the second half

after Müller was substituted.

The centre-back and everyone else involved were very happy with the game, the result and the magnificent atmosphere at the stadium:

The fans were loud from the start.

There was a great atmosphere in the stadium.

We threw ourselves into it, we really tried to enjoy our football from the off, and that's what we did.

That's why it was such a successful evening.

We were clearly enjoying ourselves and had lots of chances

We scored lots of goals too.

I think it was a great performance.

Sebastian Rudy and Bayern's other Germany players are yet to arrive back at the Säbener Straße facility,

but France internationals Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso

are already in Munich and took part

in today's training session.

The first team players are slowly but surely returning to base

as the focus at the club turns back to the Bundesliga, with four days to go

until the tough trip to Hoffenheim.

What does the debt ceiling have to do with a free-running fail? - Duration: 2:47.

This is the United States.

This is the United States if it doesn't raise the debt ceiling.

Any questions?

Actually, you should have five.

First, what is the debt ceiling?

The debt ceiling is the legal limit on how much the federal government can borrow to

pay its bills.

Like the rest of us, the government buys more than it can afford.

So, it puts everything on a credit card to be paid later.

A card that is this close to being maxed out at $19.8 trillion.

By not raising the limit, Congress basically becomes a deadbeat.

Is this the same as a government shutdown?

No.

And don't get confused.

Two things are happening at the same time.

If there is a government shutdown, it will be because there is no federal budget, which

must be passed by Congress and signed by the president by the start of the new fiscal year

on October 1.

Once there's a budget in place, things can open again.

But that's a whole other conversation.

So, when does this thing, this debt ceiling, have to be raised?

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin sent a letter to Congress back in July saying it had to

be raised by Sept. 29.

That's because both the Congressional Budget Office and the Bipartisan Policy Center think

the federal government could max out its "credit card" in early October.

Oct. 2 to be exact.

Okay, what's so special about Oct. 2?

Treasury has to make an $81 billion payment to military

retirees that day.

That'll get paid.

It has to, by law.

Here's the problem: Treasury will have $68 billion in bills to pay, among them benefits

for veterans and Social Security recipients.

But it will only have $33 billion in cash to pay them.

Each day the debt ceiling isn't raised, the unpaid bills pile up, because every day

is a due-day for the federal government.

Remind me again why I should care?

Oh, you thought this was some abstract, only-in-Washington concern?

You better snap out of it because

all hell could break loose.

Look, Treasury bond rates would rise, so that new house you're planning on buying?

Watch mortgage rates spike.

They're tied to those Treasury bonds.

Same goes for rates for personal loans, student loans and car loans.

Thinking of selling your home?

Watch its value fall.

Rising Treasury bonds will boost the deficit, slow growth and eventually lead to thousands

of jobs lost.

Still have a job and a 401(k)?

Watch that shrink in value as the stock market drops and folks liquidate holdings for cash,

which would become increasingly scarce because spooked investors could put their money elsewhere

once the full faith and credit of the United States is destroyed.

So, if the debt ceiling isn't raised by the end of the month…

….this could be all of us.

Tiffany & Co.— 2017 Fall Campaign: David Hallberg - Duration: 0:56.

DAVID

We tell a story of all human emotion.

Right before the curtain goes up it's such a unique feeling.

You really soak in the beauty of that moment.

We project that beauty through our bodies.

Love, happiness, heartbreak, elation...

to me is something that you're always building,

you're always honing in on.

It's something precious.

It's feeling your own strength.

It's really something that

is never ending.

It never finishes.

I think in art there exists true individuality.

Something that has that unique kind of spark

that separates it from the rest.

There's only one me.

And there's only one.

The Best Way to Make Hot and Iced Tea on the Go - Duration: 0:54.

Hi, this is Dave

and I'm going to show you. a product I designed.

As soon as we knew the Iced Tea Press was a hit

we understood that we had to make something that worked with hot tea.

And the only way to do that was to jump right in.

We started designing, brainstorming, testing prototypes

and working with this great new vacuum wall technology.

It keeps things hot or cold, there's no mess

and it's really easy to clean.

I think we came up with the simplest way to make hot or iced tea…

and the funnest.

Your mom's going to love it.

This Is What Happens to Your Body After You Eat Dragon Fruit - Duration: 4:28.

The pitahaya is a fruit that you may have never heard of

before.

However, you might know it as the Dragon fruit or cactus fruit.

It's an exotic fruit with some definite health benefits.

Just as it has three different names, it also has several different colors.

The most widely found pitahaya has a white flesh and black seeds.

Others may have a red flesh and still others have a yellow skin with a white flesh.

Though it may look strange and have strange names, it's a great source of antioxidants,

is rich in important nutrients, and contains lots of different vitamins essential to good

health.

Even better than that, it's got a great taste.

Called a tropical superfood by some, the pitahaya may appear to be a mix between a kiwi and

a pear.

It's like a kiwi because the seeds also contain a ton of nutrients like omega 3s and

omegas 6s—the good fats.

The fruit's flesh is high in Vitamin C which contributes to a strong and healthy immune

system.

It's also a good source of carbohydrates and even fiber.

Although not as high in complex B vitamins, the pitahaya does contain some B1, B2, and

B3, along with calcium, iron, and phosphorus.

Finally, lycopene, with its cancer fighting properties, also makes an appearance, in our

list of important vitamins found in the pitahaya.

So, what are some practical ways that these vitamins and minerals found in the pitahaya

can help us?

Fights Diabetes

First, the pitahaya can assist in controlling our blood sugar.

It's a fantastic food for diabetes because of its low glycemic index.

But, it doesn't just help those already diagnosed with diabetes, it also could help

prevent the development of diabetes in those who don't have it.

In laboratory rats, it was discovered that the pitahaya reduced one of the risk factors

for diabetes.

Aids in Proper Digestion

Because it's a good source of dietary fiber, the pitahaya helps keep you regular.

The fiber makes sure that our digestive system is operating properly and prevents constipation.

The fiber that the Dragon fruit contains is a soluble fiber, so it slows the absorption

of sugar and stabilizes blood sugar levels.

Additionally, it may lower LDL levels, the bad cholesterol, and provide an extra full

feeling which could also aid in weight loss.

Controls Cholesterol

Pitahayas contain betalains, which are pigments that give the fruit its rich colors.

But that's not all the pigments do.

They are principally responsible for maintaining lower levels of the bad cholesterol, that

has already been mentioned.

Works to Prevent Cancer

Because of the high level of antioxidants and anti-carcinogens found in the Dragon fruit,

it's able to work to fend off certain cancers.

Add it to the list of great-tasting fruits that are also rich in antioxidants for a healthy

lifestyle.

Promotes Healthy Skin

The Vitamin C found in the pitahaya is great for your skin.

It's been shown to slow the aging process and fights the effects of over-exposure to

the sun.

This great fruit makes your skin feel good, but it also makes it look good too.

Promotes a Healthy Heart Too

The pitahaya has flavonoids that have been proven to lower the risk of heart disease.

Various studies have found that foods rich in flavonoids are extremely important for

a healthy heart.

However, the high Vitamin C levels also contribute to our cardiovascular health by lower the

risk of strokes, according to the American College of Clinical Nutrition.

While you can't eat the peel of a pitahaya, you need to pay attention to this peel when

you're at the market picking out your fruit.

It's best to pick a firm one and let it ripen at home for a juicy pulp with a great

taste.

Much like a kiwi, in order to extract that creamy middle flesh, you'll need to cut

it in half and spoon out the flesh and edible seeds.

Try adding it to a fruit salad for its extra great taste and cool look.

You won't be sorry.

Please, come with me.

Here of course are pictures and paintings of things.

Here, this is called a dagger.

Dagger.

It was used in old times for fighting.

Time.

Exactly.

And this is the Mahbash.

Beautiful, beautiful.

Here... This is the Mahbash.

The Mahbash, of course, was used by Arabs for a long time.

Coffee is ground in it .

Coffee?

Arabic coffee.

Coffee.

Arabic coffee.

I love coffee!

That's it.

They also used it to make sounds for music .

Ah, music!

Coffee and music.

Like this, look.

Here you have...

I? I?

Yes, please try.

Exactly.

This is called a rababa.

Radaba.

Rababa.

You are Rababa?

I know, but it is broken.

Broken.

It doesn't work.

This is called Rababa.

It is made of horse hair.

Horsehair.

Horses.

The Rababa is used for music.

The people who use it are Bedouin.

Bedouin.

Exactly.

They played it like this.

Please, take it.

That is composed of leather.

Of leather?

Uh huh.

And that of the horse's tail.

Hold it like this.

Yes exactly but it's broken.

Yes.

It doesn't work.

Hamza thank you!

You're welcome.

But of course there's more to show you, come with me.

This, my dear sir...

This is the Quran.

The Quran.

The Quran.

The Quran.

As you can see this is the Quran.

These are the Quranic verses in Islam.

Here you have the Surah Al-Fatiha.

Then the verse of the cow, and so on and so on.

Of course, the Quran is the constitution of the Muslims.

Constitution of Muslims.

Exactly.

Here you have things from Turkey.

Turkey.

This, look.

This is from Turkey.

From Turkey.

These are ancient Turkish things.

Turkey old.

Exactly.

Yes, heavy.

Heavy.

These are awards for my father.

Good.

Here we see...

Here we see...

This is used for candles.

In the past there was no light, no electricity.

They would put candles in them and bring them in the house.

To make lighting.

Yes.

Here you have, of course, the ruling family.

The Hashemite family.

The Hashemite family.

The Hashemite.

The Hashemite family.

The Abu-Khdeir family?

No, the Hashemite.

Yes, exactly.

Yes.

Rania?

Yes.

Signature.

This is a collection.

This is all from Turkey.

We were staying in Turkey.

So we brought all the furniture from Turkey.

You have this...

This is a teapot.

Tea.

Tea is made in it in a Turkish way.

Barbecue tea?

Not barbecue tea.

Today we...

We...

We drank.

We he drank...

We drank...

Today we drank hetaab tea.

Barbecue.

The barbecue.

This is Turkish.

Turkish tea.

Exactly.

You have these, these are made of ceramic.

Ceramic.

Of ceramic.

They used it in the past to put water in.

This keeps the water cool.

Cool.

Like this they drank from it.

Cold water.

Delicious.

This is ceramic.

Cold water.

Exactly.

Hamza thank you. Thank you I'm... your house.

I, I mean, first thing, I welcome you to Jordan.

Especially in the area of N'aimeh.

And in my house.

I hope you benefited from this.

And you are welcome here.

I am honored by your visit, I swear.

God willing, you will visit us next time.

And you are welcome in your country and your village and your house.

Thank you Hamza.

You're welcome my friend, welcome to you.

Goodbye.

And thank you.

Thank you all.

Try on Haul | Nike, Dr Martens, Drop Dead, Asos ... - Duration: 3:20.

My cat behind...

So...

Hey! So as the title says it's a haul video

I'm gonna show you what I bought this summer, so in August and July

Even if you'll see that what I bought has nothing to do with summer

Personally I love to watch that kind of video

I think it allows you to discover new brands, and sometimes when you're looking for something

it can help you to find it

So the first items I bought in July during the summer sales

I took advantage of it to treat myself with some sportswear

I shopped at Nike

I bought this white sportsbra

so white, so pretty!

I don't know if I'll be able to maintain the color

It's really comfy, doesn't compress at all, very breathable

Then still in sale I picked this little black tee

The fabric is really breathable

I don't know if it shows well on screen

but it's really nice

it doesn't keep you too warm during workouts

Then from Nike again I picked these leggings

I'll never be able to fit it all in the screen

They're sooo comfy

and there's this little detailling on the leg that I didn't see when I bought it online

but it's really nice!

Then I bought this little T-shirt/dress

Then I bought this little T-shirt/dress

It's from Drop dead and on the front it says:

and I really like it!

and on the back there's this picture of a women

we don't really know what's happening to her

we don't really know what's happening to her

but I like it!

and it's so soft!

Otherwise I went to England with a friend this summer and

we ran into a Dr Martens store

So I went and tried some on

and I bought them

black on black we can't see much

So these are they're new design, the Newton

with they're new soles

If you're used to Dr Martens shoes, these are so light it's disconcerting

It felt very weird when I first tried them on

but they're really comfy

and I love their style

Otherwise more recently I bought myself this white tee

it's from Asos

it was really cheap

and I wanted one since a long time

I honestly love it, it's a 100% cotton, it's super soft and not see-through like most of white tees

I honestly love it, it's a 100% cotton, it's super soft and not see-through like most of white tees

And it's a classic, it goes with everything

I'm glad that i bought it

Still from Asos I bought myself these XL fishnet stockings

I find them really cool, I've been wanting them for ages I don't know why I haven't bought them sooner

And more recently I was wondering around sephora and I came accross this lotion from Clarins

And more recently I was wondering around sephora and I came accross this lotion from Clarins

it's helps to wake up the skin in the morning and to decongest a bit

and I had a discount so I treated myself

because Clarins isn't the most affordable brand there is

So there it is, that's all for this summer haul

Even tho when you take a look at what I bought you can doubt I bought this during August and July

but I did I assure you

Thanks again for watching and I'll see you later,

Bye!

How to Draw a West Highlands White Terrier (Dog) - Scratch Technique - Narrated - Duration: 3:52.

Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of tutorial!

I am Leonardo Pereznieto and today we will draw a West Highlands

White Terrier.

We begin by marking the top and bottom of the drawing

and a dot in the middle.

Then we sketch a circle for the head

which will arrive to the middle point.

That´s not the size of the actual anatomical head, but with all the

furry hair, it looks that way.

And we mark the eyes, the nose and the mouth.

I also mark some of the pattern and length of the hair,

and then the little body, the tail and the legs.

He is looking a bit like a cat but I will fix that [laughter].

I will do the drawing on a scratch pad that cannot be erased,

but before that I´m doing the sketch with this white pencil

for any corrections.

The scratch pad is like a thick white piece of paper, which

has been painted black, and so with a point of metal

you can scratch the black paint and get the white.

I will list the materials in the description under the video

as always.

So with this metallic point... by the way we could be using

even a nail for this.

We do lines, scratching the paint and uncovering the white.

So we will be doing the hair with this technique.

Line by line.

It is very fun and the result is pretty clean, usually.

Since the lines are pure.

By the way, I have been uploading a lot of material

to my Patreon account. Lately I published the long version

of the tutorial on how to paint a still life, with a painting knife.

And also the long version of the tutorial on how to draw

a German Shepherd

with two colors fountain pens.

As well as a lot of tips on how to draw better

and many other things.

In case you want to check it out I placed the link for Patreon

under this video.

Your support is very much appreciated!

And coming back to the little dog,

since we are drawing in negative, the areas that are getting more light

are the ones that I go over them again.

Like these ones up here.

And the back.

As well as this side -- I want the light to be coming

from here.

This technique is really nice!

Very enjoyable!

The areas that we need the darkest we leave them alone.

I recommend to start light and then go over and over

the areas that you would like to highlight,

because if you do too much, you cannot go back.

Very good!

¡Excelente!

At this point I suggest erasing the original sketch-line

with pencil, the pencil line, so that it looks cleaner.

And now, it is matter of integrating the drawing, seeing

that there are not black spaces where they don´t belong…

and increasing some highlights.

Very good!

I will draw some grass…

the last touches and it´s ready!

If you enjoyed it please give it a LIKE! share it

to your friends and subscribe to Fine Art-Tips and to Patreon.

You know where to follow me the links are below.

And I will see you, on Tuesday ;)

Chung Syekyun watched impeachment two times "It was hard" [We Like Zines! / 2017.09.05] - Duration: 18:38.

Since you've been an Assemblyman for 24 years,

there are some memorable pictures of you.

- I brought them with me. / - You did?

Please explain each picture.

This is the Speaker's chair that we just saw.

The one who's asleep is you?

This picture was taken

back in 2004.

There was President Roh's impeachment issue.

I bring a bill of President Roh's impeachment.

(The bill for President Roh's impeachment)

(was brought in by the opposition parties)

When they tried to pass the bill,

we didn't have enough seats to stop them.

So we took over the plenary chamber

and spent many nights there

to stop them from passing the bill.

We were asleep below the Speaker's chair.

At 3:50 a.m. the members of the opposition party

barged into the plenary chamber.

So we took over the place once again.

Imagine how tired we must've been then.

We stayed in there for days.

You can see Kim Youngchoon here.

We have Im Jongseok and Chung Dongyoung here.

Everyone is grabbing their necks.

Assemblywoman Na Kyungwon said

former activists are good fighters.

Is that true?

Many of them were activists in the past.

There are two types.

Student activists and actual athletes.

Student activists fight well with their willpower,

and real athletes are good with physical fights.

Which Assemblyman fights the best?

All of us.

We all used to be activists.

- Everyone? / - Yes.

What did you do during physical fights?

I may look like a quiet man,

but I used to run up and down the mountains

along with mountain rabbits.

So I have great physical strength.

(Mountain rabbit power)

In the end, the Speaker exercised his authority

as the Speaker to maintain order.

So the security guards came in

along with members of the opposition party

and dragged us out of there.

(Chief Presidential Secretary Im Jongseok)

The one who dragged me out

was actually an athlete in the past.

It was former Assemblyman Kim Seongjo.

He's really strong.

He actually was an athlete.

- You must've been carried out by him. / - Sure.

We can laugh about it now, since it's in the past.

But it was a big issue back then.

The bill for President Roh's impeachment has passed.

We were devastated then.

We kept saying, "This is wrong."

Fortunately, the common people

were on our side by far.

They thought the opposition party came on strong.

The people were on our side,

so that's why we were able to do such a thing.

- It was permissible. / - Yes.

I think this picture was taken last year

when we passed the bill to impeach President Park.

The bill for President Park's impeachment

has passed.

Last year, the people were in such an uproar

due to President Park's actions

that 80% of the people supported impeachment.

When I passed the bill,

it was quiet and orderly.

There were no physical fights.

It was all in good order.

(It was quite different from 12 years ago)

It must feel strange to look at both pictures.

That's right.

In the end, the people are the owners of the nation.

The National Assembly and other organizations

must follow the people's wishes.

But I hope something like this

never happens again.

- If you look at my face... / - You look gloomy.

I had a heavy heart.

Let's look at the next picture.

This is a meaningful picture, too.

(Satisfied)

It's when you ran as a candidate in Jongno.

I ran against a strong candidate.

Isn't it former mayor Oh Sehoon?

He served as mayor of Seoul for two terms.

He's tall and handsome.

And he's on the young side.

He was a candidate with a competitive edge.

He resigned because of the free school lunch issue

and ran in this election, right?

That's right.

You dissed him with your banners.

"Let's enjoy school lunches!"

(Dissing his opponent)

This is the key point!

Jongno-gu is the no.1 place in politics,

as it has produced three presidents.

It was quite meaningful as a politician, right?

I served four terms in the Honam region.

You could've continued there. Why Jongno?

If they supported me that much, I felt like

I should go out into the bigger world

and challenge myself. So I ran in Jongno.

- I had nowhere else to back off to. / - Really?

I told myself that if I lost the election here,

I would retire from politics.

(He beat Hong Saduk and won the election)

(He was elected as a Jongno Assemblyman)

(What a relief...)

I knew that the other parties would place

the strongest competitors in the next election.

By intuition?

So I worked very hard for four years.

Thanks to that, I was able to win

in the next election by a landslide.

No. 1 area of politics Jongno is a big issue

as the top politicians are competing for dominance.

Former mayor Oh Sehoon and a five-term Assemblyman

are competing against each other.

In a poll between Oh Sehoon and

Chung Syekyun, Oh received 45.8% of the votes.

(He refuted the poll results on social media)

(What was the result?)

Here's the winner of Jongno.

It is Chung Syekyun of the Minjoo Party.

How do you think you won six straight terms?

I was active in legislative activities.

I made 100 legislative reports a year.

A legislative report is where

I gather local residents

and explain to them what I do.

How many do Assemblymen usually do in a year?

It's hard to make even 10 reports.

I made 100 reports.

(The man who made 100 legislative reports)

I wrote down everyone's opinions

and did follow-ups, too.

That's how hard I worked.

Maybe you can serve eight to nine straight terms.

(A big smile)

I'm impressed.

Did I brag about myself too much today?

No one would be able to know that

unless I point it out.

You're very subtle in your bragging.

Quite experienced.

You are indeed a six-term Assemblyman.

You're second in command right now.

Don't you want to be first in command?

I did run for that once.

- You ran for candidacy. / - Yes.

Standing advisor Chung Syekyun of the Minjoo Party

officially declared that he will run for president.

(Four men competing for candidacy)

The Minjoo Party choose Moon Jaein

as their candidate, as expected.

Moon Jaein received 60.6% of the votes.

(Chung failed to become a candidate)

A politician is popular when he has

a group that strongly supports him

and a group that strongly opposes him.

But I'm just a lukewarm politician.

You're just colorless and odorless?

What do you think about that?

I look like a man from a small village.

No one can tell when I'm angry.

It's because you're always smiling.

(A nice colorless, odorless politician) (I'm angry)

Would you go for it again?

I'm currently Speaker of the National Assembly.

I don't think it's right for me to think about

what other position I want to take.

You smiled big when I talked of eight straight terms.

(A big smile)

You smiled big.

You caught me.

Let's look at the next picture.

(Next picture?)

To stop media laws from passing,

did you go on a hunger strike?

Yes.

They tried to pass media laws

under the Lee Myungbak administration.

I thought that was wrong.

It would suppress freedom of the media

and prevent diversity of the media,

so I thought I had to stop it.

Over the 24 years that you were a politician

how many times did you go on hunger strike?

- That was my first one. / - It was?

I was hungry quite often as a child.

I hate being hungry.

You're quite honest.

You must've been very hungry.

After four days on hunger strike,

my mind became clearer, and I was fine.

We had a TV with us until the third day.

So many ads for seasoned meat were on.

I had never seen ads for meat before that.

I kept seeing them.

While you were on hunger strike.

(A hunger strike for six days for his political beliefs)

- I did it for six days. / - I see.

(But the bill passed)

On the 22nd, four laws,

including the media laws,

passed during the Cabinet meeting.

Chung Syekyun of the Minjoo Party handed in

his resignation to the Speaker and left.

They enforced the law faster than we expected.

I couldn't continue the hunger strike.

So I ended it, and it was over quickly.

The situation of the media these days...

People in the media are struggling right now.

Those in power can place someone as president,

or the media can broadcast unfairly,

so many bills have been proposed

to make a system where the media can be

completely independent from authority.

We will fiercely discuss this issue.

The Speaker at the time used his authority

to pass the media laws.

During the investigation on President Park,

you refused to extend the investigation.

Four opposition parties talked to Speaker Chung

to request an extension of the investigation done by

special prosecutors, but Chung spoke of due process

and said he could not use his authority.

Some people called you a wimp.

Some people were sarcastic towards you.

Why did you refuse?

I didn't refuse.

They were asking me to do something

that I had no authority to do. I couldn't do it.

At the time, I thought it was right

to give an extension to the investigation.

But at the time, acting president Hwang

refused to do so.

Since he refused,

they asked me to extend it using my authority.

However, the conditions required for the Speaker

to step in and use his authority are very strict.

Only in a state of emergency or natural disaster,

or when all negotiation bodies agree,

can I use my authority.

Since the laws of the National Assembly

didn't allow me to do it, I wasn't able to.

Some said it was a state of emergency.

The president's authority was suspended.

But every other organization in Korea was

operating normally except the presidential office.

It was hard to see it as an emergency situation.

Here's the next picture.

Can you explain this picture to us?

(Happy)

This is Germ Man.

This is Loopy.

All three of us work together in my office.

You must've been teased a lot due to your name.

When I ran for Assemblyman in Jongno,

I was campaigning near an elementary school.

They mocked me. "He's Syekyun (Germ!)

He's Syekyun (Germ)!"

So I said, "Hey! I'm actually

a good germ. Not a bad one."

So they called me "Mr. Good Germ."

So I was called Mr. Good Germ in Jongno.

Mr. Good Germ.

Then Internet users nicknamed me Germ Man.

So I became the Germ Man.

He's a villain,

but not a vicious one.

So I like the nickname.

I heard that the meaning of your name is good.

I may be Speaker today because of it.

"Sye" means "world," and "Kyun" means "even out."

Even out the world.

My last name "Chung" means a rake.

Even out the world with a rake.

I am very satisfied with my name.

You only have one year left in your term.

You said it's your goal to amend the Constitution

before your term is over.

That's right.

Why is that?

The Constitution was written 30 years ago.

Korea has changed dramatically over 30 years.

Three decades have passed.

The Constitution should reflect this change.

These clothes fit nicely in the past,

but they don't fit Korea today.

So we must find clothes that fit Korea well.

The president has too much authority right now,

so we must decentralize power.

I think the Choi Soonsil incident occurred

because the president has too much power.

This should not happen ever again,

so we must amend the Constitution.

What would you like to add?

I don't think the Cabinet system is the answer.

The people won't accept that.

So we should find something else.

Whether it's a two-term presidential system

or a semi-presidential system, if it reflects

today's society well, I think it'll be good.

People say any Assemblyman who's been Speaker

should retire once the term is over.

Once my term ends next May,

I become an ordinary Assemblyman.

- Because you're an Assemblyman. / - Sure.

My term as Assemblyman will end in May 2020.

While I am the Speaker

the National Assembly should take care of the people

to give more power to the people.

I hope I am remembered as the Speaker

who gave power to the people.

All right.

As we did our interview, if there's anything

you haven't bragged about yet...

I've done enough.

Too much is just as bad as too little.

Too much is bad?

If I brag too much...

I do have more to brag about,

but I should stop right here.

Let's take a look at the illustrations.

Let's see how much younger I look.

(He walks over with confidence)

(Shrug)

We hope to see you develop Korean politics

with deep experience and strong beliefs.

Here it is. Six straight terms.

(Satisfied)

There are more mountains to go.

("Jangdori" has gained three social points)

You are quite generous.

- Do you look younger? / - I don't think so.

How much younger could I look in just two hours?

Thank you.

(Taking pictures)

(His hand is frozen from awkwardness)

Jonghyun is- oh what? - It got turned off turned off!

Now let's make our own wishes

Start!

Happy birthda- ah 2000 days.

If you say it out it won't come true. You have to say it inside.

You have to say it inside. I'm done.

Okay! In that case, 1 2 3 -

Thank you everyone!

And I received this! There must be people who received this too.

So I stuck this on

It's pretty, so I put it on.

So many people congratulated us for our 2000th day.

That's right.

Today at the recording they also gave us delicious food.

I shared it with many people and they were really thankful.

What did everyone do today?

I was in the dorm practising singing.

We are now preparing for our album. - Aron hyung?

Today I rested regularly.

Ah he kept coming into my room, constantly!

When I'm alone in the room, I'm bored.

So I kept going into Minki's room but he told me to go out - He kept bothering me.

He came in and out about 5 times.

It was difficult.

I was in the studio.

As expected.

I was working on the things we're preparing

I'm anticipating it.

How is it? Does it seem alright?

Yes, it's fine.

Good good.

There are questions about things that I don't know about either so I'll read them one by one.

Okay.

What's the name of Dongho's fishes?

Ah they're talking about the fishes you're raising. I was wondering what they were talking about.

Did you name them? - No.

I didn't name them.

In that case, let's give them names at this spot now.

How many of them are there?

There are a lot - More than 10?

There are 8.

8 of them? - So there are 8 of them, please give them names.

Please name Dongho's fishes.

But they're so cute.

Yeah they are cute.

They're so good at swimming - Of course they're good at swimming

They're really good at swimming.

Yesterday, the fans put our songs on the charts

We saw it.

I was really touched at late night

Yesterday at night, I was refreshing the charts every hour.

They went on really high ranks.

And even songs that I didn't expect to see went on the charts

I was just watching it and I wanted to cry.

I felt really good.

Thank you, really.

Yesterday I was resting in my room, at night

And Minki came in crying, telling me to look at this

I was really thankful of that extent.

They say to name the fishes doremifasolatido

Do re mi fa so la ti, sharp

They say to call it do-sharp.

But the fishes all look similar. - Yeah they do

There are a few of the same breed

It'll be hard to tell who's Do and who's Re.

Hyung what are you doing?!

Some also say to name it ABCDEFG - You're pressing hearts?

Our manager is pressing hearts now

Manager hyung is pressing hearts like this.

What level are you?

Level...12?

12?!

You're level 12?!

If you're level 12 that's really amazing.

I need to check it.

He's running away.

Level 12 is no joke.

Do you not mean Level 2? Level 2?

Ah he says that he's level 4.

If you're Level 12 that's over the limit.

He says he's level 4.

The highest level is 7.

So what level is he?

Level 4.

4?

He's Level 4. Level 7 is the highest.

The highest one

And we also have a piece of good news

We are finally recruiting LOVE 2nd Gen after 6 years.

Although it took a long time, as much as that, the company staff worked hard to prepare for this.

So we'll be glad if many of you join.

You must be really glad.

I'll be glad.

They're commenting that we're finally doing LOVE 2nd Gen.

It's our 2000th day - Yes.

There are really so many celebration days.

That's right.

1st year anni, 2nd year anni, 100 days, 200 days, 300 days

But I really can't believe that it's been 2000 days.

Not too long ago it was our 5 years anni - That's right.

And it's our 2000th day now, in a few months it'll be our 6 years anni.

Ah that's true.

We really have many celebration days.

But, the longer we go on, the celebration days increase.

Like 2100, 2300, 2400-500 - That's right.

There's also 2222.

Ah that's right

So this, the longer we go on, there seems to be more celebration days. - Yes.

They're asking how we feel now that it's 2000 days.

How I feel now that it's 2000 days...

How I feel?

I have thoughts like "It's already been 2000 days" - Me too

Ah really.. - We kinda can't believe it.

Although of course there are times when time passes slowly, now that I think about it

2000 days seemed to come really quickly. - That's right

2000 days... - But really..

In the past when we debuted we thought "Would the 2000th day come?"

We had thoughts like those too - Right right.

But now that we're here, I think we've done a variety of things.

Something about it feels fascinating, the fact that we are at our 2000th day.

It's also something to be happy about.

2000 days seems like a short yet long time.

But now that we think about each day, it feels really long.

They just said that the filter is weird... - The filter's weird?

"Their Distance" movie got released... right?

They say it's 4th on the current box office.

Really?

The college entrance exam is in 73 days.

Yes - There isn't much time left.

We have so many things to do - Right.

Usually when it's less than D-100 to the exam, we would cheer them on.

There's 73 days left now.

Even if its now - Shall we cheer them on once?

Yes. - 1, 2, 3, fighting!

Every year when it's near the exam we would write messages and upload them - Yeah.

We would do that, and this time too, we will cheer them on.

When that time comes, we will work hard to cheer you on.

Also, just now I read some comment but I don't remember it now.

What was I going to say?

Just a minute, I will look for it.

Ah right. It was a question about me.

What is it?

They asked me to do the 'idol' acrostic poem.

You crazies!

But why did I do that?

But it was really cute, really.

It was good it was good.

I was a little surprised.

Okay, let's do an acrostic poem with fish (mul-go-gi)

One by one? - No like this, Aron hyung 'mul', you do 'go', then 'gi'.

Okay okay.

Okay let's go.

You have 5 seconds to think about it. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Does it have to follow through? The content?

Okay let's go - MUL!

Mul: I want to drink water.

Go: Don't worry worry~

Gi! - Gi is the hardest.

Gi: Wait, I'll pour you water.

It's good?

Let's go through it once, 1, 2 - STOP IT!

What what what what? - Just do the same one.

Mul: I want to drink water.

Go: Don't worry worry~

Gi: Wait I'll pour you water.

Are you not going to do it? - Me? I'm...

You're not gonna?

It was 3 characters, so..

Oooh Baekho, someone says their heart is thumping.

Quickly pour water and come back.

We were bored so we tried doing it once.

And also, - "Bugi is the best"

Ah thank you.

Our members are all the best.

More than us, honestly LOVEs are the best.

LOVEs are the best!

Yes really, they're the best.

They call it attack right? Streaming all together.

I was really shocked when I looked at the charts.

Our LOVEs are the best (choigo), and you are Choi Mango.

Ok sorry.

So what are Aron hyung's thoughts on 2000 days? - Thoughts?

Actually, yesterday I posted something. Can I say it? On Instagram.

I posted a photo. - On SNS.

Shall we do it like that? On SNS.

I posted something on SNS, uh.. What did I post?

I said that I was thankful for the 2000 days.

I posted something like this.

But really, I was so thankful, to our LOVEs.

For being together with me, for 2000 days. - Many things happened.

For going through it all - Yes.

Thank you so much.

In the future too, please look after me.

And in case there may be people worrying, all the presents have arrived safely at the company.

We're really thankful for it, you gave us so many things, and we received it well.

You don't need to worry about it.

What else is there?

"Jonghyun-ah" - Yeah? Why?

No it was just written there.

"Dono dono"

Is there silver bracelet something all members have? - This is black though.

Today I put this on and went to the company.

Isn't this a rubber band? - No.. it's branded.

What I was going to say is, today I... what was it.

I went to the company - Health bracelet?

Oh oh oh oh oh - I suddenly thought of it.

This was given by our fans.

I received it from the fans.

It's a really good (brand).

It's good, but someone said it was a health bracelet?

Yeah. - Who? - Sungyeon.

I met Pristin's Sungyeon at the company today.

She asked me "oppa is this a health bracelet?"

I was like "this is branded yknow" and I got mad.

But it does... - No. It's from a good brand.

I'm still... I still don't need a health bracelet yet.

Oh you want to see my phone cover?

I was using the one from my sister for about a year.

And now I changed it.

Oh so when you were asking where the character went you were referring to the one on my phone case?

I changed it now. Actually, I was using an iPhone 6 case.

But it didn't match with the camera's position.

So I couldn't take photos

This is 6. - It's 7.

It's 7 but a 6 case fits?

I squeezed it in.

And it worked. But the camera would be half covered.

So when I take photos like this, it wouldn't get captured.

The fans gave me the case as a present so I changed it.

When did you change your phone? - It's been a while.

I don't remember when I changed it.

They say that the glasses are sexy.

The glasses are. Not me.

No you're using it so it's you that's sexy. - No it's the glasses.

Because you're using it.

I have good eyesight. This has no lenses.

My eyesight is 2.0.

They're asking didn't you lose too much weight.

Weight?

Weight.. I'm losing weight.

He says he's in the midst of losing weight.

We made wishes just now, but it won't come true if we say them.

There's a saying like that.

So I won't say it.

Only in our hearts.

Because it'll be good if it comes true, and if we say it out it wouldn't.

So I talked about that. - Don't say it, control it.

Are there any things the member have as couple items?

Couple... Shall we match one?

The hat now is a couple item.

That's right. This thing.

We can't show it to you now, but the underwear we're wearing now is a couple item.

Ah so shy.

They won't believe me right?

I wished for that. - What? - You can't say it. Let's not say it.

They say Minki oppa looks like a unicorn.

We are all unicorns.

"The cone is so cute".

Oh right! What is that "diffuser in the forest"?

Aron and I had a cook-off.

It looks like it smells. - What?!

It's a diffuser!

Try eating it once later on. I'll make it for you.

No no, don't make it.

If I make it will you eat it?

You will right?

If I make it for you - If you make it for me?

The expression of the manager behind is really bad.

But hyung ate it so...

There's many comments about that too. - What?

When we did the fanmeet and that one event (Coex) where the audio wasn't good, the fans sang out loud for us.

So they're asking how the sing-along was.

At that time we were backstage, changing out of our clothes.

No, they mean the time when we were singing and the music got cut off.

Not the fanmeet.

During that event.

At the fanmeet, it was when we were preparing for encore.

So they're asking how it was.

At that time, - At that time we were really flustered.

And we were thinking how we would fix this..

But because they all sang along,

Something... - I felt proud.

I felt proud - Like as if we purposely caused the audio accident.

I felt proud too.

It was cooler than us singing passionately.

It was really good.

"Doesn't JR feel hot?"

Me? Today I was wearing this for the whole day.

Now that it's night, the weather got slightly cooler.

So I'm fine.

We're #1 on the fancafe support event.

Thank you.

"Does NU'EST only have one wardrobe?" - No.

We have a lot clothes.

We were given so many clothes.

We received a lot. - That's right.

DVD... There are people asking us to release a fanmeet DVD.

If that happens it'll be great. - If that happens, we'll also feel really proud.

Ah, wardrobe!

They asked if we used one wardrobe together.

They ask if we all share our clothes together.

They ask if your clothes are mine and my clothes are yours.

(t/n: boys plz if all of u talk at the same time i dunno what you're saying....)

Once in a while...

It's not done intentionally, - If it's in the living room.

Things like white tees.

It's not done on purpose, but things like this tee you can't tell whose it is.

Things like this we do share it together, white tees.

We have many clothes, so there are also many similar items. - Right.

So this is my clothes, but it may also be another member's. There were many instances like this.

If we put it on and it fits then we just wear it.

Honestly there are also many times where we knowingly wear it.

I don't.

Ah really? You are like that.

It's small.

For me, I often wear the clothes Dongho bought to go for practice. - That's right.

He wears mine a lot. - When I'm practising.

I would be looking for something, but eventually I couldn't find it and wore something else.

Then I come for practice, and after 1~2 hours, I realize it.

He's wearing my clothes.

I kinda like wearing big clothes, so. - Then you can just buy big clothes! Instead of wearing mine.

That is that too. -

So that's how it happens.

"Dongho oppa sounds like he's using Busan dialect." Did you go to Busan recently?

No?

You're saying that I use dialect? Me?

I don't use dialect at all.

"You've caught a cold." - Me?

I'm recovering from it. How did they know?

As expected, there's nothing that LOVEs don't know.

There are people saying "please read my comment" too.

There are many people leaving comments now, so it flies up quickly.

My speed of reading is slow so there are times where I can't read it.

They say the filter's too yellow and to remove it.

But the light here is a little - Yes actually here... we tried our best to make the setting pretty.

We did remodelling here too.

"Aron let us hear your voice."

Hi.

Hi.

Hi.

They ask when we're going to release the morning call.

Will we release the morning call?

Are you going to release it?

They're blinking their eyes.

Are you going to release it?

We will hear the answer here and tell you.

Please answer. Will you release it?

Are you going to release it?

Someone should reply. - No one's replying.

Why is everyone.. is there something in the sky?

It's the basement but you're looking at the sky like that?

Even if you look at it like this, there's nothing but black.

Are you going to release it?

They'll release it. - Yes.

We will try talking about it.

If we say it here, we can't go back on our word.

We will release it.

Whether it's us re-recording it, we will prepare a morning call and release it to the fans.

This is said by Jonghyun.

We have to keep this (promise).

Actually for this, even if we record it on our phones and upload it on SNS, that also becomes a morning call.

So we can also do it that way.

There are various ways around this, so we will think about it and release it.

And also, they're asking if we'll release the VCR.

VCR? Will it be released?

Will it?

Is there something in the sky?

They don't know anything.

They're asking us to talk about the behind of the VCR.

Behind?

For VCR behind... there's that too. We also did parodies, and we tried to take a cool opening video.

So were there any behind stories from that?

It was the first time for us to do something like that, so there a bit of awkwardness.

When we were shooting it, it was so awkward.

And my potato, Aron hyung really ate it.

Yes I really ate it, but it tasted really bad.

It wasn't cooked, it was raw.

I thought that usually they just keep it in their mouths, but he ate it.

For the sake of acting.

But there was also something like this.

There was that scene, where I was asking Ren what that massager thing was.

After we filmed that, he told me "But hyung, use it for real"

He told me that.

He seemed like he needed to use it a little.

There was also that. In the Nuble company, Minki was the intern. So they're asking why it was him.

It was actually according to our birth order, Minki is the last, born in November so, that's how it was done.

For me, since I'm the leader my position is higher than Aron-hyung's.

Aron is the oldest so he got the 2nd highest position, and so on and so forth.

Alright. - Alright.

Behind... there was lesser than I expected.

Ah the cream bread! I was eating it but the cream wouldn't stick.

Yes right.

How am I supposed to eat it and let the cream stick?

In that case, we will now take about 3 more questions and wrap this up.

One by one, Aron hyung will read one, Minki will read one. I've already read a lot, so I think it'll be good to read questions one by one.

They say that the hearts have exceeded 10,000,000.

I saw a question on top. - Then Minki go first.

But for this it'll be good for all of us to do it.

Sing a lullaby one by one, since it's time to sleep.

One by one, a lullaby.

What is this? Why are you like this?

This isn't a lullaby.

A lullaby...

How.. how shall we do it? Shall we start from Hyung?

You do it first. - Okay.

Lullaby?

This is a lullaby before sleeping.

Please do it.

Thank you LOVEs for being with us on our 2000th day, sleep well!

Minki.. It's a lullaBY. It's a song.

How do I do it for real?

"Sleep well, our LOVEs."

What is this?

I thought he set me on fire.

"In the front yard and the back hill."

(just dongho making a lame gag .. lol)

Next.

Dongho's turn.

"When mother went to the island to pick oysters"

Isn't this so sad, LOVEs will go to sleep crying.

"the baby was left to go, stay in the house alone"

It's a little sad.

LOVEs must be crying now.

It's a special edition.

Aron-hyung what are you looking at so joyfully?

I found a question. - What is it?

"What do you save each other's names as in your phone?"

Kwak Aron, Choi Minki, Kim Jonghyun.

That's really affectionless. - I'm really simple.

Just, NU'EST Jonghyun, Dongho, Minki. Like this.

For me, Aron hyung, Ren, Baekho.

For me, ajae (old man).

But for me, for everyone I save it as their full names.

Really? - Yeah.

I save it like this - Baeko, not Baekho, but Baeko.

Bae (stomach) Ko (nose)?

He is, - He? - Ah sorry, our leader.

Bugi.

What did you say I was? - Hyung? Ajae.

Did you want to listen to that one more time?

Sorry.

I save our CEO's name as Han Sungsoo too.

Hey, our CEO might be watching this too.

No behind that there's (Pledis CEO) in paranthesis.

I was shocked.

Since Aron has done it, Dongho will take the last question

This is really funny.

We will read the last question.

Please leave questions.

Wait a moment. - It moves really fast.

"Han Sungsoo acrostic poem"

No no no. We'll get in big trouble.

There isn't a question that's worthy of being the last one.

"Last words?"

In that case, reversely, let's ask a question.

Why are you the one doing it?

Why? Can't I?

What is it? Do you have something to ask?

For LOVEs, when does NU'EST W make you the happiest?

I'm a little curious.

What do we do that makes you the happiest.

But even at this time there are 100,000 people watching.

It's becoming 2am.

Amazing. - When makes you the happiest...

"When you breathe"

Ah really...

"Whenever" - "When you're moving"

"Everything" - "When you guys are happy"

This is really touching. - "When you breathe" really shocked me.

"When you smile"

"When you sing" Things like that too.

"I was sleeping and got awoken, but I"m happy"

"When you're singing"

"Everything" - "When we play among ourselves"

"Jonghyun oppa is so handsome"

"When you are in South Korea" - "When you breathe" was so funny

That really shocked me.

"I'm happy whenever"

Thank you. - We are happy too.

Oh! There was just someone like Minki.

"Now"

"Right now this moment, like magic"

That obviously must be Minki's fan.

They're asking us to look at the camera.

For me, when I look at our fans, I feel like "wah, they're really good at speaking too".

Really, they're so good.

I had many thoughts like that.

Are my nicknames all given to me by fans?

Of course.

I was shocked at my nicknames.

I also have various nicknames, while watching broadcast in the subtitles it would be put there.

There's 'bug me heal me', - What's that?

I'm also not too sure but there's that.

"Sexy Bandit was amazing"

There was that too, and various others.

(t/n: sry cal doesn't know how to translate this part naturally.....)

As an ending, oldest hyung Aron will say a word coolly.

Please do it.

Firstly, thank you so so much during the 2000 days.

In the future too, we will be working hard so I hope you will be with us till the end, everyone.

And, it's almost 2am, please sleep quickly.

I love you.

In that case, shall we slice this together - Shall we do that?

(correcting Minki's choice of words...)

What's cutting in English?

It's cutting.

I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to answer.

Recently the season is changing, so the temperature difference in the day and night is quite serious.

So please be careful not to catch a cold.

And I hope you'll be healthy. - What's fan in English?

'Seonpunggi' Fan.

What about cheongbaji? - Jeans

Yesterday I clearly heard something different.

'Gwigeori' - Earring.

He seems to have studied English.

What's socks?

(kids if you have 2 conversations at once I can't hear you)

What's orange in English? - Orange.

I thought he would say Del Monte. Or something like Sunkist.

It was fun.

Piercing..

Am I doing this alone? - All together

Please hold it.

I'll hold the last one. (T______________________________T)

We have to remove the candles and cut it.

Here we go.

For the 2000 days.

What?

For the 2000 days! - Thank you for giving us so much love - Congrats, thank you.

We will become a NU'EST, NU'EST W that works hard in the future too.

Thank you. - Thank you.

What's orange in English? - Hanrabong (this is a type of orange lol)

Until now, this has been NU'EST W.

Thank you!

LOVE's goodnight!

Goodnight.

And I will see you, on Tuesday ;)
