Even a few years after the conclusions of all-time classic shows such as Mad Men, Breaking

Bad, and Parks and Recreation, we're still in "The Second Golden Age of TV," also known

as "Peak TV," also known as "There is Far Too Much Good Stuff to Watch on Broadcast

Television, Cable, and At Least Four Streaming Services."

There's just so much to watch: Game of Thrones, Westworld, The Walking Dead, Atlanta, Silicon

Valley.

Still, despite all this can't-miss TV, there are plenty of other series you can go ahead

and skip.

The following are our picks for the very worst shows of 2018… so far.

Alex, Inc.

ABC promoted Alex, Inc. as the triumphant return of Zach Braff, away from TV for almost

a decade after Scrubs finished its nine-season run.

But it didn't quite work out that way.

This is partly a typical family comedy about a goofy dad, his long-suffering wife, and

their kids.

But it's also about a guy who has a midlife crisis, starts his own company, and documents

that journey through podcasting.

Based on the true story of StartUp host Alex Blumberg, Alex, Inc. reveals to audiences

the not-very-visually-entertaining world of people talking into microphones.

While podcasts are mainstream at this point, the show treats the concept like it's cutting-edge

technology, and people treat Alex like he's a genius for making one.

Simply unbelievable.

"I hate to disagree with you.

I hate it enough to make two fists."

Child Support

Ricky Gervais is a TV legend for co-creating and starring in the original British Office,

as well as the show business satire Extras and the nursing-home dramedy Derek.

But his latest project isn't a single-camera comedy or nuanced character study.

Instead, Child Support is one part Kids Say the Darndest Things, one part overly convoluted

game show.

In a TV studio, host Fred Savage asks adult contestants trivia questions.

If they answer correctly, their responses are compared to the answers given by a panel

of adorable children.

Gervais asks the kids the same questions in a creepy-looking focus group.

It's more unusual than amusing, and as The Laughing Place has noted, the questions are

"painfully easy" and the show "tries too hard to be funny."

"Benjamin Franklin said, 'Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy,

and' what?"

Deception

The early 2000s are over, but that era's biggest contribution to television endures: the crime

procedural with a sassy twist.

The likes of Bones, Castle, and The Mentalist are all gone, but they continue in spirit

with ABC's Deception.

It's about a celebrity magician with the very celebrity-magician name of "Cameron Black."

After his career is destroyed by a scandal, he teams up with the FBI to solve crimes.

That's right, he uses his gift for "illusions" to somehow get into the minds of criminals,

which is a pretty weak premise.

But winning over viewers is one magic trick Cameron has not managed to pull off.

Add in meaningless supporting characters, and what's been described by Variety as "a

fatal lack of surprises," and there's not much left to watch.

Life Sentence

The breezy CW dramedy Life Sentence offers up basically the same setup as the 2001 Disney

movie Max Keeble's Big Move.

But in this case, it's about a young woman named Stella who thought she was dying of

cancer.

For years, she lived everyday like it was her last, only to have her cancer cured, leaving

her to deal with the ramifications of her impulsive decisions.

There's a decent premise here, but the execution just feels too cruel to its main character,

while leaving other moments overly sentimental.

Ultimately, it's just an uneven mix.

Living Biblically

Based on humorist A.J.

Jacobs' book The Year of Living Biblically, this CBS sitcom is about a critic who decides

to live out every last detail of his life according to the Holy Bible.

While that's a refillable premise, it's difficult to make religion funny and palatable to a

broad audience.

Secular audiences are alienated, while the show also skirts offending the faithful, never

really finding an audience.

Ultimately, Living Biblically commits the cardinal comedy sin of just not being very

funny.

The Resident

Matt Czuchry stars as Dr. Conrad Hawkins, a medical rogue who plays by his own rules.

Dr. Hawkins makes rash decisions and ignores directives from his superiors because he has

gut feelings about what crazy medical procedures to use.

Except he doesn't come across as heroic; just arrogant and smarmy.

Instead, he's just another antihero who thinks he can get away with anything like we've seen

so many times before.

And that is The Resident's biggest flaw: it doesn't offer anything new to the TV landscape.

Sweetbitter

This Starz series follows naive Tess, who leaves her hometown behind to move to the

Big Apple.

New York is unexpectedly tough, until Tess is taken under the wing of colleagues at the

fancy restaurant where she finds work almost immediately.

She reminds them of themselves, only younger and more optimistic.

Except cliches are a big problem on Sweetbitter, a very slow-moving show where nothing much

happens beyond a woman working in a restaurant and making friends.

Robert Lloyd of The Los Angeles Times called it:

"A meal that looks great on the plate but makes little impression on the tongue."

Splitting Up Together

This ABC family sitcom is at least an innovative, if not vaguely depressing, twist on an old

format: Mom and Dad are in the process of divorcing, but rather than have one of them

move out, both parents stay in the house, keeping separate living quarters so as to

still provide their kids with an uninterrupted and stable home life.

While that's a modern and progressive solution, it's a hard sell for a silly little sitcom.

And according to the Orlando Sentinel,

"It feels like a long, forced push to get [the main couple] back together."

Here and Now

Set in the progressive city of Portland, Oregon, Here and Now is about a progressive family

made up of a philosophy professor, his therapist wife, and their four mostly grown children,

adopted from around the world.

Their one biological child is in high school, where she encounters many didactic conversations

about social issues, offset by weird dreams and prophetic hallucinations.

Basically, imagine if Portlandia wasn't a comedy, but was instead just as serious and

ominous as The Leftovers.

According to Joel Keller of Decider,

"Here and Now is so overwrought that it makes The Handmaid's Tale look like a light-hearted

romp by comparison."

Dark.

Are Single Player Games Dying? - Duration: 7:55.

Hey guys!

Welcome back to Top 10 Gaming, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

If you follow gaming news, you've almost certainly heard people freaking out about

the death of single player games.

With more and more games becoming partially or fully multiplayer, and large companies

devoting more and more time and money to multiplayer stuff, those who favour a good single player

game are feeling a bit worried.

So let's figure out what the heck is going on, and whether or not we should be worried

about all this.

For the record, I am absolutely not the authority on this subject, but I'll look at some stats

and use my own paltry knowledge of games to give my personal take on the matter.

But before you do that, get ready, it's time to ask: Are Single Player Games Dying?

This might seem like a pretty subjective question, and I suppose it is.

A lot of this comes down to what kind of game you prefer.

If you enjoy single player games, you're likely to defend them, and probably won't

think they're dying, whether or not sales are dropping.

On the other hand, if you hate single player games, and all you play is Fortnite, you're

probably more likely to say "Pfft, yeah, nobody plays single player games anymore".

People have a tendency to assume everyone else thinks exactly the same way as them,

but that just isn't the case.

You can just look at the 2016 US election to see how little we actually know about the

beliefs of others.

This also comes down to how one defines "Dying".

Does "Dying" mean they're becoming slightly less popular as Multiplayer games see an uptick?

Then sure, I guess some types of single player games are dying.

But if Dying means nobody likes them anymore and soon companies will stop making them,

then I think most people could agree that no, they are not dying.

But the question remains: Are people playing single player games less?

I know personally, the vast majority of my gaming is in single player RPGs, like Elder

Scrolls, Fallout, and The Witcher.

But we're definitely seeing some companies start to focus more on the multiplayer side

of things.

For example, when Grand Theft Auto 5 was released, the campaign was fun and exciting, and had

fans pretty psyched about the future.

However, when Rock Star realized how much more money could be made in the multiplayer

mode, they began focusing almost exclusively on that.

Another company at whom fingers are often pointed, for good reason, is Electronic Arts.

While EA has made a number of amazing single player games, they have recently begun to

focus on multiplayer, even shutting down the Visceral Games studio.

The failure and abandonment of Mass Effect: Andromeda, as well as the bologna with Star

Wars Battlefront 2, has left gamers thinking that EA has given up on single player so they

can make some sweet sweet cash.

And also ruin Star Wars.

Perhaps the most ominous sign of the death of single player was Bethesda's announcement

that the new Fallout game, Fallout 76, would be a multiplayer survival game rather than

the usual single player RPG.

This has set many gamers into a bit of a tizzy, worried that Bethesda is taking the EA route

and leaving single player games behind.

But these fears aren't necessarily warranted.

For one, Bethesda has stated that future games like Starfield and the next Elder Scrolls

game will be single player, so there's more to come.

But even if there wasn't, the huge amount of pushback to this should indicate that there

are a LOT of gamers interested in single player.

And if you check the polls online, where people are asked to report their preferences, single

player games often come out on top.

And where there is demand, supply will always follow.

Really, if we take a step back from the craziness, we can see that there are a LOT of great single

player games coming out every year.

Zelda, Mario, Monster Hunter, God of War, Detroit Become Human, Arkham games, the upcoming

Red Dead Redemption 2; the list goes on and on.

Plus the folks over at Telltale Games are pumping out more games than I can even keep

up with!

All this is to say that single player games seem to still be going strong.

One thing that should be noted, however, is that different types of games are following

different trajectories.

For example, single player campaigns in First Person Shooters are definitely losing popularity,

and that's somewhat understandable.

When given the choice between shooting computer opponents, or shooting human ones, many gamers

find it more fun to try to defeat other humans.

Case in point, the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 without a story mode had people

more than a little worried.

However, this wasn't some arbitrary decision.

It turns out that if you look at the stats, people just don't really play the call of

duty campaigns.

Even with the most played story in the series, Call of Duty 3, only 25.67% of players finished

the campaign, with over 25% not even completing basic training.

And again, that's the MOST played campaign in the series, with others only 5 or 10% of

people finish the campaign.

Now, it's true that the lack of single player would hurt the 5 to 25 odd percent of players

who DO play the campaign, but it's understandable that a company wouldn't want to sink a bunch

of money into an aspect of the game that less than a quarter of players would actually see.

That said, this doesn't necessarily mean that we'll lose all single player games.

It just points to the idea that people go to shooter games more for the multiplayer

aspect than the campaign aspect.

Does this point to an underlying issue in society, that young people nowadays lack the

patience to see a campaign through to the end?

Maybe.

But that's not something I can get into right now.

On the other hand, RPGs and the like which have significant focus on story do still seem

to be going strong.

This is also rather unsurprising; it's much easier to tell a cohesive and deep story when

just one player is involved.

Even with MMORPGs like World of Warcraft, which are known for telling interesting, deep

tales, there's little a player can do to actually affect the world.

But in a single player game like Fallout 3, one decision can result in an entire town

being destroyed.

And this idea of meaningful choices is something that many people love in a game.

So, when it comes to the death of single player, this seems to be an issue faced mainly by

games that have both single and multiplayer modes, like Call of Duty or GTA 5.

It doesn't seem to have much of an effect on fully single player games, and they will

likely continue to be made, since there is a significant single player playerbase.

That said, it's possible that some companies might shift from having purely single player

games, to a mixture, focusing on the rather lucrative "Games as a Service" model.

If the trend continues, and more players start to prefer multiplayer, it could be that the

production of single player games would slow down, as games become more expensive to make,

since far more money can be made on multiplayer.

But even if multiplayer did take over, there's a damn good chance the pendulum would swing

back the other way quickly, as people grew tired of everything being multiplayer, and

got sick of games as a service.

So, maybe it's true that some types of single player games aren't quite as popular as

they once were.

But does that mean they're dying?

I'd say no.

This seems more a case of multiplayer games flourishing, than it does single player games

dying.

It's very possible that the current trend of multiplayer games is just a fad that will

eventually fade away, opening the door once again for single player stuff.

However, even if the big game companies started to focus more on multiplayer games, there

will still remain a significant portion of gamers who were interested in single player

for years to come.

This might open the door to other companies, allowing them to step into the top tier of

gaming, which would be pretty great.

They could even use crowdfunding from single player lovers to finish a game if it was too

expensive.

I could go on forever about this, and I probably will on my own channel, but this video's

gone on long enough.

One final thought on all this is this though: Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if single player

started slowing down eventually.

I know, I know, it sounds terrible, and as an avid single player gamer I cringe just

thinking about it.

But as technology improves, it could be that the negatives of multiplayer such as connectivity

issues and worldbuilding will slowly be removed.

Maybe games will reach a point where even the most stubborn single player lover will

accept that games are better with other people.

Of course, there will always be a place for pure single player games if you want to just

relax, but with the internet bringing everyone closer together, and technology making it

easier and easier to implement, it could be that we'll soon be in a place similar to

Ready Player One.

And frankly, I'd take that over Skyrim anyday.

But again, as far as I can tell, Single Player games are here to stay, at least for the foreseeable

future.

And if they do disappear, it will only be because nobody wants them anymore since multiplayer

has just become way better.

And if we do, somehow, reach a point where nobody wants single player, then it would

probably be okay for single player games to die.

But not yet.

Not yet.

for the Avedis Zildjian company.

Cymbal making has remained the same

for almost 400 years.

Zildjian Cymbal goes back to 1623.

We're part of this legacy of cymbal making,

and it's really, really exciting

that we're continuing this history.

We make well over 600 models in different diameters,

and it's much like if you're a carpenter,

you don't have one tool, you have a toolbox full of tools.

So, as a drummer, the cymbals are part of your toolbox.

OK, you have a big cymbal like this,

it's called a ride cymbal, so you keep time on it.

These are hi-hats, and these are two cymbals

that come together.

Then you have crash cymbals,

and these all offer different sound colors,

so the drummer can express himself in a nonverbal way

within the context of the piece of music.

Cymbal making is a lot like being a blacksmith

or a farrier.

There's a lot of steps that go into making a cymbal

and, you know, it could take a couple days.

(cymbal crashing)

We're gonna take that casting;

we're gonna throw it in an oven.

And we're gonna shape it;

we're gonna hammer it;

we're gonna shave it; we're gonna lathe it;

goes down to a cymbal test, so he plays it.

(cymbal crashes)

- Sound quality, cosmetic quality,

we look for it all.

- I've had the privilege to work with

a lot of great drummers.

Steve Gadd, Elvin Jones,

Zak Starkey, who was actually Ringo Starr's son.

The list goes on and on.

Splatoon 2 New Weapons & Ancho-V Games Coming Soon | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:21.

Splatoon 2 New Weapons & Ancho-V Games Coming Soon | Heavy.com

Splatoon 2 will be getting a returning stage and four new weapons on July 31 at 5 p.m.

PT (8 p.m.

ET), according to the official Splatoon Tumblr account.

Ancho-V Games was the last stage added to the original Splatoon and is coming to Splatoon 2.

The stage is based off of a game development office and has platforms that raise when a fan is shot similar to the platforms found in the single player campaign.

The Tumblr post said that there will be a few changes from the original map.

The first new weapon is the Bloblobber, a Slosher-type weapon based on a bathtub.

According to an earlier post by the Splatoon Tumblr account, the weapon will fire four blob projectiles that flow forward and bounce off the ground and walls.

The weapon also comes with the Splash Wall sub weapon and the Ink Storm special.

The Nautilus 47 is a new Splatling gun that lets you store your charge while swimming in ink, a mechanic similar to most Charger weapons.

You'll be able to spin the barrel, swim in ink, and then pop out and start firing when you emerge.

The weapon also comes with the Point Sensor and the Baller.

The Light Tetra Dualies have the same attributes as the Dark Tetra Dualies, having four slow dodge rolls.

However instead of having the Autobomb and the Splashdown, the Light Tetra Dualies have the Sprinklers and the Autobomb Launcher.

The Custom Hydra Splatling has the same stats as the Hydra Splatling, with a slow charge speed but high power and range.

However instead of an Autobomb and Splashdown, the Custom Hydra Splatling comes with Ink Mines and Ink Armor.

Trump Says You Need A Picture ID To Buy Groceries During Crazy Speech - Duration: 5:09.

On Tuesday evening, Donald Trump headed down to a campaign rally in Tampa, Florida.

And, for those of you waiting for Donald Trump to say something stupid during his rally as

he has every single time he's ever done a rally, you didn't have to wait too long, because,

not too far into his little presentation, Donald Trump said this.

We believe that only American citizens should vote in American elections, which is why the

time has come for voter ID, like everything else, voter ID.

And if you go out and you wanna buy groceries you need a picture on a card.

You need ID.

You go out and you wanna buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture.

In this country, the only time you don't need it, in many cases, is when you wanna vote

for a president, when you wanna vote for a senator, when you wanna vote for a governor

or a congressman, it's crazy.

It's crazy.

You're absolutely right, Donald, this is crazy, but not the fact that we're not requiring

people to have photo ID to go vote.

What's crazy, is what you're saying.

First and foremost, could you be any more out of touch with how America actually works?

How many decades has it been since you actually stepped foot in a grocery store?

That's what I'm wondering.

Because, no, you don't need a photo ID to go buy a loaf of bread or buy any kind of

groceries, unless it's alcohol or tobacco.

Other than that, you're pretty much good to go with a debit card or cash or check or whatever

you wanna pay with, without having to show a photo ID.

That is crazy.

That's just as out of touch as George H.W. Bush was when he went to a grocery store and

was amazed by the new kinds of scanners they had to scan bar codes.

The man had never seen that, even though they'd been out for years, because he was so wealthy

he never had to do his own shopping.

And now we know that Trump is the same way.

You don't have to show an ID to go buy groceries.

In fact, it's pretty easy to get along in the United States without an ID.

The only time I ever get carded is when I have to go fly, and the only reason I fly

is because my job requires it.

I'm not out there taking flights for fun, trust me.

Can't do that, wish I could but I can't.

So, yeah, twice a year, when I have to make these trips for conferences, I have to pull

out my ID.

The rest of the time that thing stays tucked away in my wallet, like most Americans, and

nobody sees it because nobody asks for it.

Requiring a photo ID to vote is a form of poll tax, because again, you can get along

perfectly fine in the United States of America without a photo ID.

Perhaps you live in a city where you don't have to have a car.

Perhaps you can't afford a car, so you don't need a photo ID.

Perhaps you're not going out and buying any kind of alcohol or tobacco.

You wouldn't need an ID for that, and of course, contrary to what you say, you don't need one

to go buy groceries.

What this does is it disproportionately affects poor, minority communities, where people do

not have photo IDs.

They may not have the means to go and get a photo ID, and even if they do, they may

not have the means to pay for that photo ID.

That's the problem with this.

That is what investigations into this have found.

They haven't found rampant evidence of any kind of voter fraud, but what they have found

is that these voter IDs disproportionately affect poor and minority US citizens.

So, you can ramble incoherently all you want about needing a photo ID to go buy quote "anything

in America today," but those of us who live in reality understand that you can get by

just fine without any form of photo ID here in the United States.

It is not a requirement but if you're going to make it a requirement to participate in

our democratic process, then you, Federal Government, have to provide photo IDs to every

citizen at no cost at all.

That's the tradeoff.

You cannot require somebody to spend their own money in order to be able to retain the

right to vote.

That is discrimination, no matter who it is against.

So, you wanna enact these regressive photo ID laws, then you better have the Federal

Government ready to pony up, go door to door and make goddamn sure that everybody in this

country has a photo ID.

LARGE HOMESCHOOL FAMILY ROAD TRIP | How to Pack a Big Family | Traveling with Kids! - Duration: 7:31.

- So happy, getting ready for a great big

12 day road trip.

Yay, this is the day we are packing,

we are loading the van, we are getting book bags filled.

I've got a few small errands

I have to run around this afternoon.

Right now I'm having the kids bring their outfits

as we plan to the table.

If this camera's jumping it's 'cause Daniel's jumping.

Are you excited?

Yes, yes, yes.

All the places we are going will be coming out

in upcoming videos so be sure to subscribe

and follow along for all of that fun.

What my plan is, is that the kids are going to pack

two outfits plus leave in the outfit that they're wearing.

They're also packing a pair of pajamas and a swimsuit,

underwear, socks, toothbrush, those sort of things

and we will just do a load of laundry every third afternoon

or so while we are out on our trip.

That way we're not taking 200 outfits.

You wanna see your road trip treats?

- Sure.

- Sure, a cool pencil bag, that's a 50 pack.

You're gonna do Paw Patrol stuff on the trip, aren't you?

Okay, and then these are those really cool pens

I told you about.

Those are erasable.

And then I got you, this is the really cool part,

got you a special velociraptor notebook,

so now you can put that in your goodie bag.

So Gabriel's gonna go through and get

all of his stuff.

This is gonna be a book bag that he keeps up with him

with fun activities for him to do.

Naomi is also packing one and then all those

activities I got for Daniel and Liam

and Amelia, I'm keeping those in a bag

upfront with me.

This is the younger kid's goodie bag packed

with all kinds of things, and honestly I'm thinking

when I got out this afternoon I am going to go into

another Dollar Tree that's close by to where I'm going

and see what other goodies they have

'cause I would gladly spend another 10 to 20 dollars

and get some more fun activity sets.

I showed this is my haul video.

I'll pop a card up for you guys but just,

anyway looking at all of this I'm thinking,

wow, this is all consumable stuff and I think

this might be like, of the first week's worth.

I might need more for week two.

So, I'll see if I can find anything else.

If not I'll make this stretch.

Wanna show you, this is Liam's packing bundle.

He wrapped it all with his Ninja Turtle belt.

So, Amelia's all packed now except I do need to go

and find her, her swimsuit

and then I need to pack Mr. Daniel.

So we got Zion's things there,

that's our little activity bag, this is Liam's stuff.

His old, old leopard that he had named, Mama Kitty.

Now we got this back when I was pregnant with Jaden,

so this toy is like 18 years old.

She's missing her eye, she has stuffing coming out,

we've fixed her with duct tape many times.

We can't even sew her anymore, right Daniel?

'Cause her material won't hold it.

Anyway, he wants to bring her, she may fit under his seat

so that's why she's there.

You got Gabriel's things, everyone has their fresh shoes

hanging out, that's Naomi's bag and then she's got

her new book bag packed with her stuff for in her seat.

Makeup bag, this is Amelia's stuff

with her clothes for tomorrow.

Looking a little stormy here.

Zion and I are out running errands.

We just checked the bank off our list.

Now we're going into the paint store

because I'm going to leave the colors

that I want the interior of the house painted.

I'm gonna leave that for the painting company that's

gonna come get that done.

It's gonna be so great to come back

and everything is fresh.

So I'm making my eyes go cross

and all these green paint samples.

I've narrowed it down to this one.

Now, someone who had more time and foresight

I would've taken paint samples home

and tried to match it with the current color

in our homeschool dining room.

However I am eyeballing it as I do all the things

and this is, I believe, the color I'm gonna go with.

So if you wonder how I came to my color choices

I'm here looking at one of these HGTV home sample books

and this yellow here with all the white trim,

that's what I'm going for in the other living areas

in the house and that is this paint sample

called, butter up.

May not show up on camera but supposedly this color

is this color on the walls.

I was going to go with this fun yellow because that looks

a little brighter, but I'm going to trust this sample book

right now, and then this is the color we're doing

in the dining room.

We made it out of Walmart, I got all my stuff back there.

We got lots of drinks for the road trip like bottled water.

Some special like, Arnold Palmer teas and such

that our older boys like.

Soda's that Travis likes.

Someone is staying at our house for us while we're gone

plus we have painters and other people coming

but for the person who's house sitting

I got a few like, sandwich things and strawberries

and a few things that they requested

and just those last minute things that I knew

I would think of right before we were gonna go.

I figure having bottles of water and special drinks

and those kind of treats for us will of course

save compared to, you know, buying 'em at a gas station

along the way.

We'll at least have them cold in our cooler

for special drinks.

Very humid this morning, but Zion and I are up early.

We are gonna take our dogs to the kennel

for our big road trip.

We have the people that are gonna house sit for us

have come and things are pulling together this morning.

We're gonna hit the road.

So, look at this.

It is just glorious, and we have absolutely everything.

We have all the kids backpacks.

All those snacks

I bought are there. - [Child] Mommy!

- Those bags, hold on sweetie, are some loaves of bread

that we're gonna take along with us.

We have drinks here, I just got done filling the cooler

with teas, Arnold Palmers, waters, string cheese,

things along those lines and we're gonna get some ice here

on our way out.

Some wipes, there's our diaper stuff.

This bag has like, a box of trash bags, laundry detergent,

things that we'll need along the way.

This is just an empty IKEA bag, those are helpful.

Stroller's under there, and yeah, so here we are,

the back of the van, 11 people for two weeks.

Ready, set, go.

So, I knew we wouldn't be able to officially leave until

we had one more stop into Walmart.

So Travis went and washed the van,

I went into Walmart to get ice for the cooler

and of course baby pacifiers

because you know when we're leaving

we can't find a pacifier

and if we buy two more that'll guarantee

that we can find the other ones.

A few more little odds and ends that I thought of

for Walmart, very small stuff though.

So then I went ahead and got us lunch while I was

in there because eating at Walmart is still cheaper

than going through for fast food

and I'm not like, fixing lunch, in the parking lot

of Walmart today.

So we got all the kids their Walmart brand of lunchables,

and then several of you have asked how

I'm gonna do Trim Healthy Mama on the road

so I'm gonna show you what I picked myself up for lunch.

Greek style chicken salad and carb wise, let's see here,

it'll end up being three net carbs per cup,

and it looks like there's four and a half,

so it'll end up being a little over 12 carbs or so

for this whole big honkin' thing which is fine.

Got myself my Coke Zero,

not the super healthiest thing in the world

but better than a regular Coke.

And then also I got some of these

hard salami wrapped cheeses

and two hard boiled eggs.

I will probably put those in the cooler at some point.

Also picked up a thing of banana's for any kids

that think they need 'em.

Okay, so we're almost to our first hotel,

and as Amelia calls this,

this looks like a traffic city.

So where could we be headed?

stay frosty hey everyone I'm back again with another one for ya I just getting

out of a business meeting which happens to be next to my favorite Dunkin Donuts

here in Pasadena so I thought I'd jump on over and take a look at their all new

two-dollar dunkin run menu looks like they've got some pretty cool stuff here

with ham and cheese roll-ups a gluten free brownie we've got pretzel bites

the donut fries and this guy right over here waffle breaded chicken tenders talk

about different yeah their new CEO is really shaking things up here with a

brand new menu here and I thought I'd give this one a shot because guys I just

think this totally fits it's a sweet waffle batter around chicken how bad

could that really be let's give it a shot mmm that's actually really tasty

it's not too sweet and the chicken is surprisingly juicy now if you guys have

ever had chicken tenders like say at a movie theater they're pretty much like a

flash-fried type of product there this is very similar these are dropped into

an air fryer basically two or three minutes in that take them out drop them

in a bag they're made quick so you can get on the go pretty fast once you get

your iced coffee or whatever it is that you're getting here but I got to say I

like the quality of the breading on this guy's not too overly sweet the chicken

is fairly juicy I like it it's not as crispy as a regular chicken tender it's

a little on the mushier side but I like that because it's kind of hearty as

you're eating it's not bad in terms of the flavor let me see if I can give you

a shot up that white meat on the inside over there not bad in terms of the

quality $2 for 2 of these and the size is fairly decent so yeah I would

definitely get this again but the strange thing is there is nothing to dip

this into and you think with the waffle type batter something like maple syrup

or something like that would go really good with something like this maybe if

these do well we'll see that as a condiment on the side but as it stands I

would definitely rock these again so what do you guys think are you guys

answer your questions today why YouTube I'm gonna answer that in two parts

but before that I want to let you know at the end of this video there's gonna

be a little clip of something I'm working on that's close to my heart

it's really my story why am i doing youtube the first reason is to really be

a part of the conversation about chronic pain and disability chronic pain talking

about personally what I do for pain management but also things that are in

the news opioids and marijuana my chronic pain has caused me some issues

including surgeries and you know things that are really disabling I'm also

dating someone who has a severe hearing loss and I've been a part of the deaf

community for many years so there's also some elements there that I would like to

to shed light on my tribe my people are going through and I want to shed a light

on that I want to be a part of the conversation the second part is what

motivates me what gets me up in the morning is not all the medications all

the you know doctor's appointments it's living it's things that I have a unique

perspective to appreciate you know like being able to get in the kitchen with my

family that can also be a battle but it could be pretty interesting sometimes I

have to be honest and being from Louisiana being Cajun makes it that much

more interesting really I think we're all going through something our own

battles and sometimes it's difficult to be brave sometimes it's difficult just

to make it through the week I hope you can come here every week and find

something positive find something interesting or you know hey even if you

laugh at me sometimes when you're going through stuff it's hard even just to

laugh anyway stay tuned for that clip that I

mentioned and keep fighting you can laugh now page all your doctor friends

but I want Tessa's done I want you to prove to me that what my

child is suffering is growing pains because I find that hard to believe

That's what I'm wondering.

Because, no, you don't need a photo ID to go buy a loaf of bread or buy any kind of

groceries, unless it's alcohol or tobacco.

Other than that, you're pretty much good to go with a debit card or cash or check or whatever

you wanna pay with, without having to show a photo ID.

That is crazy.

That's just as out of touch as George H.W. Bush was when he went to a grocery store and

was amazed by the new kinds of scanners they had to scan bar codes.

The man had never seen that, even though they'd been out for years, because he was so wealthy

he never had to do his own shopping.

And now we know that Trump is the same way.

You don't have to show an ID to go buy groceries.

In fact, it's pretty easy to get along in the United States without an ID.

The only time I ever get carded is when I have to go fly, and the only reason I fly

is because my job requires it.

I'm not out there taking flights for fun, trust me.

Can't do that, wish I could but I can't.

So, yeah, twice a year, when I have to make these trips for conferences, I have to pull

out my ID.

The rest of the time that thing stays tucked away in my wallet, like most Americans, and

nobody sees it because nobody asks for it.

Requiring a photo ID to vote is a form of poll tax, because again, you can get along

perfectly fine in the United States of America without a photo ID.

Perhaps you live in a city where you don't have to have a car.

Perhaps you can't afford a car, so you don't need a photo ID.

Perhaps you're not going out and buying any kind of alcohol or tobacco.

You wouldn't need an ID for that, and of course, contrary to what you say, you don't need one

to go buy groceries.

What this does is it disproportionately affects poor, minority communities, where people do

not have photo IDs.

They may not have the means to go and get a photo ID, and even if they do, they may

not have the means to pay for that photo ID.

That's the problem with this.

That is what investigations into this have found.

They haven't found rampant evidence of any kind of voter fraud, but what they have found

is that these voter IDs disproportionately affect poor and minority US citizens.

So, you can ramble incoherently all you want about needing a photo ID to go buy quote "anything

in America today," but those of us who live in reality understand that you can get by

just fine without any form of photo ID here in the United States.

It is not a requirement but if you're going to make it a requirement to participate in

our democratic process, then you, Federal Government, have to provide photo IDs to every

citizen at no cost at all.

That's the tradeoff.

You cannot require somebody to spend their own money in order to be able to retain the

right to vote.

That is discrimination, no matter who it is against.

So, you wanna enact these regressive photo ID laws, then you better have the Federal

Government ready to pony up, go door to door and make goddamn sure that everybody in this

country has a photo ID.

Mystery Of Malaysia Flight MH370 FINALLY SOLVED - Duration: 3:34.

A final report on what happened to missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was delivered

to the family members of the people who were on the plane.

I'm going to tell you what it said, here for you on IO.

Welcome back to Inform Overload, I'm charlotte dobre.

The disappearance Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has captivated the internet for 4 years.

For those that don't know, in march of 2014, flight MH370 was on its way to Beijing from

kuala lampur.

Right after it left Malaysian airspace, it changed course for reasons unknown.

6 hours into the flight, The plane disappeared, and so did all 239 people aboard.

The satellite and navigation systems aboard the plane were turned off.

Its believed the plane crashed somewhere in the indian ocean.

Since then, all the attempts to find the plane and its black box have been mostly unsuccessful,

only small fragments of the plane wings have washed up on beaches.

The search for MH370 has turned out to be one of the most widespread underwater search

operations in history.

The heartbreaking part about it is that the family members of the people aboard the plane

have no idea what happened to their loved ones.

No one knows who to blame for the tragic disappearance.

Naturally whenever there's very little explanation for tragedies, there are conspiracy theories

that pop up on the internet.

One of the most popular conspiracy theories surrounding it is that the pilot and first

officer crashed the plane as part of a suicide mission.

Another is that the plane was suffering from a mechanical failure.

And lastly, another theory is that the plane was carrying around 5 thousand kilograms of

mangosteens and 221 kilograms of lithium ion batteries, which could have caught fire.

As a way to cancel out many of the theories surrounding the mysterious disappearance,

a press conference was given by Dr ok Soo Chon, the investigator on the case.

According to the final report, there was likely unlawful interference with the plane, and

it was turned around manually.

The plane was not on autopilot.

The report also rules out mechanical failure, but the emergency locator transmitters all

malfunctioned, there were four of them aboard the plane.

In order to rule out the possibility that the pilot was in on it, his background was

researched extensively.

The investigators found no reason to suspect there was any wrongdoing.

Dr. Kok Soo Chon did not assign blame, but he did say that there were several protocols

that were not followed through on by air traffic control in both Vietnam And Malaysia.

Whoever was in charge of air traffic control was not looking at their radar display enough.

Because of these mistakes, the plane went missing for an entire 20 minutes before anyone

knew about it.

Even though the report gave valuable insight, many of the family members who received it

said that it offered no closure, and that the info provided was wrong and the answers

were very vague.

This is, the last official report on Malaysia airlines flight mh370, but many of the family

members are still searching for answers.

How to Dye Faded Jeans - Duration: 4:46.

Hey guys, it's Clara from Online Fabric Store.

If you have a faded pair of jeans that you want to revive, why not dye them?

I'm using denim blue Rit dye on these, and black Dylon dye on these. So let's get started.

The materials you'll need are: jeans, Rit dye or Dylon dye,

For Rit dye, dishwashing soap and Rit color stay fixative are also recommended,

salt, measuring cups, rubber gloves ,and a container for dyeing.

Machine wash the jeans in warm water before dyeing.

You can use either type of dye or try a different color for a unique look.

Cover your work surface with plastic and wear rubber gloves when handling the dye.

One packet of Dylon permanent dye dyes up to half a pound of fabric.

These jeans are a little under a pound when dry so I'm going to use two packets

Dissolve the powder in four cups of warm water. Be careful not to inhale the powder

Stir until the dye is completely dissolved

Fill a container with as much water as needed for the jeans to be able to move freely

The water should be warm. Add the dissolved dye and stir thoroughly

Mix in a third of a cup of salt

Submerge the jeans and stir constantly for 15 minutes

The dye looks blue, but don't worry. It'll turn out black in the end

Keep in mind that many jeans contain a percentage of polyester or other synthetic materials, which don't dye

You may not be able to get a super dark black if this is the case

Let it sit for 45 minutes starting occasionally. Rinse the jeans in cold water

Machine wash in warm water and air dry away from direct heat in sunlight

Wash separately the first couple of times to remove any excess dye

Fill a large plastic container or stainless steel pot or sink with three gallons of hot water

If your tap water doesn't get scalding hot heat up the water on the stove until it's near boiling

Add 1 cup of salt to enhance the color and about a teaspoon of dishwashing soap to help the fabric dye evenly

If you want the darkest results possible keep the water on the stove the entire time to maintain the heat

Use half a cup of dye or if you want a darker color use a full bottle. For light colors use less dye

Shake the bottle and pour it into the water

Stir well before adding the damp jeans

Stir continuously, especially for the first 10 minutes

Make sure the dye is getting to all parts of the jeans

For dark colors leave the jeans in the dye bath for at least 30 minutes while stirring often

The denim fabric used for jeans is typically woven with both indigo and white threads.

This gives denim its characteristic look

When you dye denim, it will create a flatter color

Use Rit color stay dye fixative to enhance the color and reduce bleeding.

Fill another container with about 3 gallons of hot water

Use half a cup of fixative for every pound of dry fabric

Put the jeans in the fixative solution and stir for 20 minutes

Rinse in cool water

Machine wash on warm and dry

Wash separately at first then with like colors

Now that the jeans are dry you can see how the colors turned out

The black isn't super black but it's much darker than before

The other pair turned out to be a nice dark blue

The denim still has its characteristic look because the white threads didn't dye much meaning it's probably polyester

The results will differ for other genes depending on the percentage of cotton and the starting color

But that's part of the fun of dyeing. You never know how it's going to turn out

Top 5 Oculus Go Apps After 1 Month - Duration: 6:17.

So we love the Oculus Go in our house so much so that my daughter actually has it

another room right now so I can't even show it as a part of this video but we

believe that virtual reality is a big part of our future. And we are

experiencing it now with the Oculus Go in the best way we've ever experienced

it and so I'm excited to share with you my top 5 favourite apps in my first

month of using the oculus go that I highly recommend you trying as well with

your Oculus Go.

So we love the Oculus Go in our house and my kids love it I love

it and so there are a few apps that have stood out above the rest.

I believe in the coming months now that the hardware is so readily accessible. I

believe that the Oculus Go is gonna be one of the top Christmas presents and

the popularity is only going to grow and so I think we're gonna see great apps

coming out but there are five apps that came out as the Oculus Go was first

available that I think stood out above the rest. So these are the top 5 apps

from my perspective. The first app that I recommend is Next VR. Next VR provides

some of the best video content especially comes to sports. I'm a big

sports fan I believe a big part of the future a virtual reality will be sports.

I believe we'll watch the Super Bowl in virtual reality very soon this year if

not next year. I think a lot of basketball games, baseball games just

makes sense to watch it in virtual reality.

We words like you're there at the game I think that's how

people want to experience sports and I think virtual reality is a great medium

for that I think Next VR is providing it. It's actually more 180 video than 360

video so why you gonna kind of see fans around you or next to, you really

focused on what's in front of you so you could turn and look at the scoreboard or

the screen or the bench. But it allows you to control your experience yet it's

not a full 360 experience either though. So it's an interesting experience that

they create and they do sports they've got a lot of other videos available

there so Next VR is the first app that I recommend you downloading and

experiencing on your Oculus Go. The second app that I

recommend on the Oculus Go is Alt Space VR. Alt Space VR off space is basically

the first social vr platform the best most popular social vr experience right

now on the Oculus Go Facebook spaces exists for the Oculus Rift I'm sure it's

will come soon to Oculus Go. You can use Oculus Scrims and have some other social

experiences within the Oculus app or lock you Oculus platform.But Alt Space

VR is basically like Second Life if you remember Second Life, was for a web

experience. Now Alt Space does that for virtual reality there's some pretty cool

experiences actually they've gone to church. I've lost two weeks in Alt Space

we are using an avatar that I created in the end of the platform. So it's a

pretty cool social VR experience. Go check it out and see some of the

different campfire and hangout and social environments that are available

now in social VR through Alt Space VR. The third is Hulu. I love that Hulu

was ready for VR when it came. Basically when you go into the Hulu app you could

sit down on a couch and you're watching television on the screen in front of you

and they'll let you watch any of the flat you know general versions of a Hulu

video. And it's like you're watching on a 150 inch screen in front of you it's a

great experience, my kids love watching just regular videos in Hulu. But then you

can also then choose VR and they've already created a library of virtual

reality 360 content that you can watch they're in in VR. They're on the headset

it's a great experience, I love how they incorporated their existing library of

video content and how they've also were prepared with 360 content knowing that

this technology was coming that they were first into the space. So I love that

Hulu prioritized this medium and it's a great app to experience 360 video

content. The fourth app that I highly recommend is the New York Times app. New York

Times that has been telling stories for decades and done a great job with the

medium of newspapers and they have done such a great job of taking out a

traditional medium and moving today with their mobile apps and iPads apps,

and they've also prioritized this medium of virtual reality. They have a great

oculus go out with some great content they're great storytellers and so

they're telling stories in a really powerful way to 360 video so I love how

New York Times is prioritizing this technology and creating a great

experience there within the Oculus Go. And then the last off I want to

recommend is all fun app it's Paint VR. It sits on the save your simple app but

you literally have this canvas that has dimensions to it now with 360. So if you

remember paint when it first came out and you were literally confined to a

little rectangle of what you could do in that think about paint but now with

unlimited space around you but not just unlimited space but now you have depth

space as well that you can lean into an experience and create, whatever

creation you're going to create with the paintbrushes and the stamps and the

various things elements that are built into Paint VR. It's a really fun app that

your kids will have fun with but even as adults you can have fun just expressing

your creativity. So those are my top 5 apps at this point with the launch of

the Oculus Go we're just a month in, in the next year. I think we're gonna have

so many creative apps available in so many different ways and mediums in which

you can use the 360 experience and so I can't wait to see what comes I hope

you'll check out those five apps and would love for you to share your

Critical thinking covers a wide variety of thought processes.

People who use critical thinking are often Analyzing, Evaluating, Interpreting, Problem

In this video, I'm going to show you 7 ways to help you master critical thinking.

So, here are 7 ways you can try to master critical thinking process:

1.

Learn how to question things.

To become adept at critical thinking, you must learn to question things.

This includes questioning statements from authority figures, general assumptions, and

even your own beliefs.

2.

Think for yourself.

Stop accepting everything you are told, and begin thinking for yourself.

For example, a guitar teacher may have taught you how to play guitar in a certain way, but

can you now improve on that way?

By thinking for yourself, you'll unleash your creativity and boost your self-confidence.

3.

Evaluate evidence.

Evidence can be a great way to find answers to issues you may be experiencing.

However, don't just take evidence at face value, dig more.

These probing questions will enable you to quickly identify evidence that is sound – and

evidence that you should steer clear of.

4.

Become aware of your personal biases.

If you're honest with yourself, most times you probably think you're right.

While this may be the case, when making decisions, you must put aside any personal biases or

beliefs.

Critical thinking needs to look at different perspectives and points of view before reaching

a conclusion.

I know it's hard to think outside of your personal biases, but for the sake of your

success in life – you must try to do so.

5.

Consider motive.

Like a great detective, you must become skilled at uncovering motive.

For example, think of a time that a company offered you a free product to try.

All you needed to do was give some basic personal details to them, but turn out they just wanted

to capture and sell on your personal information.

6.

Break big issues into small pieces.

Big picture thinking is all the rage nowadays, but it's not always the best way to reach

decisions.

If you need to deal with a major problem such as losing your job, then you can become quickly

overwhelmed by events.

This stress and anxiety could lead to inaction on your part.

Try breaking down the issue into smaller components.

For instance, ensuring all your bills are covered, then seek new work opportunities.

Big problems seem much less scary when you break them down into small pieces.

7.

Keep it simple.

Actually, the simplest answer is most often correct.

Frequently, we look for complex answers when the truth may be staring us right in the face.

For example, a loud bang is heard inside an office that is close to a busy highway.

Some staff think it may be a bomb, others suggest that it's just a truck backfiring.

I'll let you decide which one of these is the most likely cause of the noise.

Use critical thinking every time that you need to make an important decision.

People will notice the difference in your actions.

And before long, you'll be achieving more success than you ever thought was possible.

Sea of Thieves Cursed Sails Out Now: Here's What's New | Heavy.com

Cursed Sails, the second major content for Sea of Thieves, arrives today and with it comes several new things for players to do.

One of the major complaints about Sea of Thieves following its release in March was the lack of things to do and there being no true endgame.

Rare has been working to remedy that and it sounds like Cursed Sails will certainly be a step in the right direction.

New things, such as three-person boats, will make the game more accessible to players and make Sea of Thieves an interesting choice for players looking to hop back into the action.

Here's a look at all of the new content coming to Sea of Thieves with the new update.

Cursed Sails Campaign – Pirate dominion on the Sea of Thieves is being challenged, by the dead! Skeletons are taking to the waters in grim galleons, united and spurred on by a mysterious captain.

Armed with cursed cannonballs that sow chaos and confusion, the dead make war on the living in Cursed Sails! Watch out for banners on the Outposts, calling you out to battle skeleton ships over the course of three weeks.

You can also take a break from the action to investigate the source of the skeleton scourge, following a tale of greed and madness starting with a hint from the Bilge Rats.

The introduction of Alliances between crews and the new three-pirate Brigantine ship may help to even the odds.

Prepare for battle, pirates! New Threat – Skeleton ships have arrived from the depths of the Sea of Thieves with a variety of cursed cannonballs.

Blast them from afar or board their vessel if you fancy your chances face-to-face! Beware of the cursed cannonballs, their effects may turn the tide of battle in the blink of an eye.

Brigantine – Positioned nicely between the bulk of the Galleon and agility of the Sloop, the Brigantine has been perfectly designed for three pirates to sail to victory.

Alliances – A new "Offer Alliance" pennant flag has been added to the Flag Box in the crow's nest, along with options to both "Join Alliance" and "Leave Alliance".

Don't have a mic? Use the "LET'S FORM AN ALLIANCE!" option when holding a speaking trumpet to show your intentions! Form alliances with other crews you encounter on the Sea of Thieves to share in both adventure and reward.

When a patient comes in for the first time, we always have them fill out a brief questionnaire

of any symptoms they might be experiencing, any previous chiropractic experience, what

their goals are, and some generalized health questions. Then after they're done filling

that out, I always meet with the patient one-on-one and we sit and chat for about 15 minutes.

Because I want a really, really good, thorough history of what's been going on, why it's

bothering you, and how I can help you. Often times people will come in with a pain

complaint and I want to figure out if that pain symptom is coming from a muscle, a joint

issue, a nerve problem, or a combination of those three things. Then it's my job to figure

out the best way, to not only get them feeling better, but to fix it at the root of the cause,

which is oftentimes one of those three main things.

A patient will come in, we'll do a variety of range of motion tests, some orthopedic

testing to really narrow down where the problem is, strength testing, reflexes, all sorts

of different things. I take a look at biomechanics, which is kind of a fancy word for posture

in motion, to see how the muscles are firing, see if there's imbalance. Then 90 percent

of the time, we take an x-ray. I love to see exactly what's going on with the structure,

because that will give me a good idea of what a patient needs from a treatment

standpoint. The reason why I say 90 percent of the time, is because oftentimes children

don't require an x-ray. If a woman's pregnant, we don't x-ray them. There's a few other varying

reasons why we might not take an x-ray, but otherwise we take an x-ray.

After developing the x-ray, I get to take a good look at not only the structure of the

spine, but compare it with the exam that I did, to see where there are parallels and

see if there's any red flags or anything crazy going on in there. Then at that point, I'm

able to develop a treatment plan for any individual patient that comes in.

A question that I get often times before I'm able to look at everything, patients will

say, you know I do have this issue how long is it going to take to fix? I love answering

that question, because everybody's a little bit different, and oftentimes when you go

to a medical provider, or you go to a different sort of provider, they just kind of give you

a cookie cutter regimen, you know. You go to the medical doctor, I've got back pain,

here's a muscle relaxer. You go to a physical therapist, I have the

X Y Z, maybe here's a couple stretches you can do. What I pride myself in at, West End

chiropractic and what we provide ourselves in, is making a very individualized curtailed

treatment plan, that involves chiropractic, rehab, and an education, so that a patient

doesn't fall back into that same pattern of injuring themselves again. How long does it

take? It varies. It might take a couple of adjustments, if your body isn't as out of

alignment as it could be. Or, it could take a couple weeks or maybe

even a month or so, to get your body back to where it needs to be, depending on how

long you let the problem go, or how significant your injury might be. To answer that question,

every treatment plan is very individualized to fit the patient's needs and goals to fix

their problem
