Antonio Conte worried about Eden Hazard ahead of Leicester v Chelsea – report

Antonio Conte is considering delaying Eden Hazard's return to the Chelsea starting line-up until the Champions League returns next week, according to reports in the British media.

The Evening Standard is reporting that Conte is not sure whether to include the 26-year-old Brazilian in Chelsea's starting line-up for the Blues' trip to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Hazard played a total of 93 minutes for Belgium while on international duty in recent days but the playmaker has still not featured for Chelsea this season after stepping up his recovery from an ankle injury.

Chelsea play Qarabag in the Champions League group stage at Stamford Bridge next Tuesday night and Conte is debating whether that game could be a better option for Hazard to make his return in, according to the same report.

The Blues are preparing to take on Leicester in the Premier League as they look to build on their back to back wins over Tottenham and Everton in the top flight.

Hazard helped Chelsea win the Premier League in Conte's first season at the club last term as they also secured a return to the Champions League.

What is "The West" - Duration: 9:25.

We hear about "Western Involvement", "Western Values", and "Western Interests" in

the media.

People say that the West is the best, or that the West is in decline.

Some country is either Westernising or hates the West's way of life.

The West is the countries with democracies and free markets right?

Or countries that are part of Western Civilisation?

Then what about Latin America, are they Western?

What does "The West" even mean and what exactly is Western Civilisation.

Let's find out

-ROLL INTRO-

To understand what Western Civilisation is, we'll have to look at it's 5000 history.

Which I am going to try and summarise in a few minutes.

I'll start with the Greeks, who are considered the traditional founders of Western Civilisation

and the people that gave "The West" a lot of it's central values such as citizen

participation in government, the disciplines of science, philosophy, and history, and the

basis for Western architecture.

The Greeks or at least each Greek city state had an identity based on these ideas.

Except Sparta whose identity was based on death and sweet abs.

People such as Homer, Socrates, and Hippocrates are all titans in the fields of Western literature,

philosophy, and medicine.

They essentially kick started it.

Now don't get me wrong, an ancient Greek would be considered alien today if we met

one.

But the idea that Western Civilisation descends from the Greeks is as important an idea to

"The West" as an actual direct link.

Obviously modern Western Civilisation isn't the same as ancient Greek culture, later Westerners

chose what they wanted to adopt and what to abandon.

No one in the modern West is sacrificing goats to the gods or taking slaves just because

the Greeks did it.

The origins of the east-west division has roots in Ancient Greece, specifically in the

Persian Wars.

It is this conflict that we see the beginning of the liberty loving masculine West v despotic,

decadent, and feminine East trope.

A trope that we still see on-screen today.

One of the most important things Greece did for "the West" was influenced Rome.

Rome gave the future West the foundations for its governments, languages, and law.

The Roman law code was the basis for the legal systems of most of Europe and its colonies

up until the 18th and 19th centuries.

Rome provided the later West with an identity firstly through its Empire and then through

it's Church.

Christianity held "the West" together after Rome faded and would mold it's identity

up until the 19th century.

Christianity became the religion of Rome after the Emperor Constantine adopted it.

But just as importantly in the history of the West is something else Constantine did.

And that was establishing the city of Constantinople.

You see, the Roman empire had a cultural divide.

The West spoke Latin and the East spoke Greek.

So, the Romans began thinking with a Latins v Greeks mindset.

The Latins saw the Greeks as more effeminate and decadent compared to how manly and tough

they were, which added to the East v West idea.

Which is funny because the ancient Greeks thought the same in relation to themselves

to the Persians.

The Roman Empire eventually divided along these lines.

The Western half faded away during the 5th century and the Eastern or Byzantine half

lasted another 1000 years.

In 1054 the Western and Eastern Churches split from each other in an event known as the Great

Schism.

I won't go into detail because the Great Schism will be a video itself.

But the important take away is that after 1054 the Catholic Church separated from the

Eastern Orthodox Church.

A pope sat in Rome and a Patriarch sat in Constantinople.

The Eastern Roman Empire would eventually spread Orthodox Christianity into the Levant,

the Balkans, and importantly they converted the Rus.

This schism in combination with the Islamic conquests that began 3 centuries previously

gave the West's it's own identity.

They were West Christendom.

They may not have liked each other but they knew that they hated the Eastern heathens

and Muslims even more.

Constantinople would fall to the Ottomans in 1453 and afterwards the Greek, Roman, and

Islamic knowledge that they had accumulated and preserved was brought back to Europe by

scholars and traders.

The Renaissance with all it's fancy naked statues got into full swing.

The West began to re-import Western Civilisation, with all the additions the Byzantines, Muslims,

and others had made to it.

This rebirth of Western culture came along just before the discovery of the New World.

So the Europeans, now confident that their ideas and culture were superior began to colonise

the New World.

This is the beginning of the spread of "The West" and also the reason why the West is

such a hard term to quantify today.

By colonising and imposing their culture on other nations the West ended up in the Northern,

Southern, and Eastern parts of the world.

Which is confusing for a group the identifies as a position on the compass.

If you'd like to learn how the West managed to conquer so much then click that little

I in the top right corner to go to a great video by Grant Hurst.

During the Enlightenment the Western idea of the nation-state developed.

During this era European imperialism was brought to Africa and Asia.

As Westerners translated "Eastern" languages and interacted with the East more a kind of

"Orientalism" began depicting the East as an irrational, psychologically weak, and

feminized, Other, which was negatively contrasted the West's idea of itself as rational, psychologically

strong, and masculine.

The nation-state concept was imposed on places where it didn't make sense, resulting in

odd perfectly straight borders.

The enlightenment dulled the idea of West Christendom and birth the secular West.

This is when the West actually began calling itself the West and also using that term to

describe previous cultures, like the Greeks and Romans.

Skipping forward slightly.

After the 2nd world war the West lost its colonial power mostly.

The world entered the Cold War.

Which was an easy conflict to paint in the terms of East v West.

Communism v Capitalism.

The Western identity solidified during this period.

Who was Western and who wasn't, was clear.

But after the Cold War ended I think the term "The West" lost its solid meaning.

But it still continued to be used.

So what does "The West" mean today?

How do you define it?

Here are the usual Economic, Political, and Cultural definitions

Economically the West is usually developed countries with strong economies and high incomes.

Here it's used interchangeably with First world.

Politically it's countries with democratic governments and free citizens.

Here it's used interchangeably with Free world

Culturally it's countries with roots in Europe or the Greco-Roman-Judean tradition

and was built upon by the ideals of the Enlightenment.

Usually referred to as Western Civilisation.

But these definitions aren't great for actually defining the West.

For example let's look at Latin America.

Latin America much like the United States and Canada are inheritors of Western Civilisation

through their European colonisers.

Latin America however is rarely included when people speak about "The West".

They speak Latin languages and while there are some Latin American countries such as

Bolivia, Paraguay, and Guatemala that have a much stronger native influence they are

still heavily influenced by the culture of their colonisers.

If you look at a Human Development Index map you can see that many Latin American states

are in the high to very-high range, especially Argentina and Chile and Uruguay.

Their political institutions and governments are based on the same principles as European

ones.

Democratic governments are the norm in Latin America and most rank just below the US and

Europe on the Democracy index.

Latin America is definitely a part of Western Civilisation and should be included in "The

West".

You can try applying those 3 criteria to other nations too, like Japan, Turkey, and nations

that were previously behind the Iron Curtain.

And that brings me to my final point, criticisms of the term "The West".

An issue with the term "The West", other than its vagueness, Is that it implies confrontation.

West of where?

Different than where?

Edward Said claimed that "the West" was just a construct used by Europeans to justify

an opposition to the East, which could then justify colonialism.

"the West" usually defines itself by what it's not.

It wasn't the Persians.

It wasn't the Greeks or Orthodox.

It wasn't Islamic or Chinese or Indian.

It wasn't Russian or Communist.

And now it's not Islamic, again.

The notion of an Eastern other has played a central role in constructing a Western identity,

and helped to define the West as its contrasting image.

Which nowadays doesn't make sense because cultures and societies are mixing and learning

from each other on an unprecedented scale.

The West and the East need each other as our economies and societies would collapse without

the other.

"Western Civilisation" as a term is just an attempt to record the history of a cultural

unit in a easily understandable and linear fashion.

But "The West" as a term is simply used to refer to a blurry area of the map in people's

mind.

Which is why it is useful for the news or for politicians, it's just vague enough

to appear to mean something.

So when you hear someone refer to the decline of "The West" or how a group of people

hate the West.

Think, "what are they referring to?

What West?

Is all of Europe, the Americas, Australia, and New Zealand all in decline?

Have people stopped reading Plato?

Do these people that hate the West simply hate whoever they see as their enemy or do

they actually hate all of the places that might be in "the West".

Even Liechtenstein.

Can you really hate Liechtenstein?"

The purpose of this video isn't to demand that we begin using different terms for anything.

But it can be useful to know where certain terms came from and why they continue to be

used.

Kipling said that East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.

Except that they have and now both are different and better than before.

Thanks for watching.

Positive Self Talk For Kids - Duration: 9:45.

Kris Krohn here with Limitless TV and today we're gonna be talking about your

children. How do you actually help teach your kids positive self-talk in a

polarizing world where they're subject to learning about the positive and the

negative and they don't know how to tell the left from the right, we're gonna

empower you on exactly how to do it with four strategies today.

Alright. Parents today, we are talking about brainwashing, right? Because let's

be honest parents what are we really doing?

We are brainwashing our children. And the problem with children is they're not old

enough with their undeveloped minds to set up all their filters. Be honest, some

of you adults watching this video myself included we don't always have our

filters in place. Children are super impressionable. Which means that they

they soak everything in. Right now, your optic nerves are taking in in every

second, two million bits of information but you can only consciously process 40

of them.

Just think about that. It's like the, it's like the elephant and the ant.

The elephant is the powerhouse of this mind it's subconscious and the ant

represents what small little bit we can consciously compute. Well you take a

child and they're allowing everything to come in. So by the, way mom and dad ,when

you're fighting, guess what? Your kids not only know it but they're actually

reading body language, the energy, and they're sucking in all this information

and they're struggling to interpret and understand their world. Now no matter how

good of a parent you are, no matter how conscious if you've got PhDs in

parenting, the reality is your child is going to get screwed up. Just like you

did in childhood and just like I did in childhood because it's part of a great

divine plan. I believe. And the plan is with an undeveloped mind, we're going to

misinterpret what we see. Have you noticed it a parent, as a parent that

there are times when you even say something positive to your child and in

turn they interpret it negatively? that's because there's a lot of influences at

work beyond you. We got the television, and the media,

we've got school, and we got friends, we got enemies, they got people all around them

and they're interpreting their world based on feelings as well as what

they're hearing. And the reality is, is that as parents when children are small

we have to say no a lot and it programs a very negative self-talk mindset for a

child. By the time your child is 16, from you and the rest of the world, they've

heard no, can't, don't, shouldn't, over

sixty thousand times.

Sixty thousand times!

what's that? like, that's like, that's like torture

training and brainwashing to say I can't do anything, I can't shoot for the stars,

I can't get good grades, in this I can't do that

no so-and-so will never like me. And that's the world that our kids live in.

So there's got to be something we can do as parents to combat that especially as

they get older and we're trying to bond with them and train them and teach them

and today I'm going to share with you some very specific rules of what I do

every single day with my children so that I'm teaching them correct

principles and we're teaching and positive self-talk.

Here are my four

strategies for teaching your children positive self-talk. Write these down.

Number one, teach character. Every morning I sit at the breakfast table and I get a

chance to sit down with my children and will either be studying scriptures

ancient Christian texts. We're reading good books and what we're doing is we're

extracting good principles and characteristic traits of people who are

happy, healthy, successful, and creating the life that they want.

Are we better than, you

know if we judge people, we call some people pretty and some people ugly, let

me ask you, is that prideful? It is prideful. But let me ask you are all

people equally? Are all people beautiful? Are all people smart? we have different

gifts, we have different talents, we have different abilities right? and so it's

our responsibility to see people and love people the way God does right? So

let me ask you if someone's mean to you do we get to be mean back to them?

No because being mean, can be seen as painful right?

What about strangers? Can we even love strangers?

Number two,

your kids need breakthrough and it's something simple and it's something you

can do. Notice that when your child gets into

crisis mode that is not the time to teach them. Have you ever tried to put a

child in crisis mode? in timeout? Have you ever tried to punish them or initiate

the consequence while there ahhhhh! It doesn't work very well. So what you get

to do is you get to learn to help the child calm down, write out that, that

period of time where the crisis will come down.

They'll come back to normal and that's the time to have a conversation and this

is where I'll do breakthrough. Three simple steps. Wow

tell me what you think the limiting belief was behind what happened there?

Now I'm gonna teach my children to be emotionally intelligent and

intellectually intelligent with this question of finding the limiting belief.

Well, so-and-so, shouldn't hurt me. Danny shouldn't bite me, I'm angry that

they didn't want to play with me, right? The second thing I'm gonna ask is what's

the consequence of thinking that way?

Do you like being that way?

And they're

gonna explore, they're gonna say, actually I don't because I was sad and I don't like

the way I felt and I'm gonna get this question in 3 which is, what do you want

to believe instead? And this we're gonna find a new belief and we're gonna go

from so-and-so shouldn't bite me to I honor and respect others in the way that

I teach them. Doing that belief breakthrough with the child

is a very simple conversation. If you want to get proactive and do it outside

of crisis mode, short little bonus here, then get on the terms of your child. Find

out what they like doing. My daughter loves creating jewelry. So I'm gonna sit

down and I'm gonna watch her or I'm gonna make some jewelry with her and

then we're gonna get into a conversation. My little boy Daniel, I get to wrestle

him before we engage in those kind of conversations get on the terms with your

child. If you got a bigger kid, a teenager, where do they like to be? what do they

want to do? so you can get relatable with them. My third strategy for teaching

children positive self-talk.

I love my life. Wait, I didn't hear you. What'd you

say?

I love school. I listened to my teachers. I make good choices.

I'm in charge of my

feelings.

I can choose happy

or I can choose sad.

Sometimes people are mean.

sometimes I'm mean.

But then I can choose to be nice

and if someone's mean to me,

I can still be nice to them.

Because I love my life

and I am limitless.

Let's put or hands and do Krohns make good choices ready? Krohns make good choices!

Isn't that fun? we do that every single day often morning and night and especially

when we're talking about school and being smart and intelligent or maybe

there was a challenge that one of my children was facing and we're gonna use

it as a group opportunity and am I brainwashing my children? Shamelessly!

Absolutely! Parents, what do you think you're there to do? you get to take the

best you know in you and you get to help bring and raise them up in the best way

possible.

My fourth strategy for teaching your

children positive self-talk is perhaps one of the most important

it's to find the calm moments to see the greatness in your children.

They're looking for time with you, they're looking for validation, they're looking

for security.

Especially when I tuck my girls in at night my boys, I'll crawl up

in their bed or I'll get next to them I'll snuggle up and then I'm gonna look

in their eyes

and let that residue, that stillness set in.

And then I'm going to

speak to them the greatness that I see in them.

To my daughter Liesl,

you are a natural leader.

People look up to you.

You're someone that we want to

follow.

You're good at making good choices.

To my daughter Lydia who's a

healer, you're such an incredible healer.

I love your soft art in the way that

you are. I love the pictures that you draw. You're so good at peacemaking and

helping people feel comfortable.

To my Daniel boy, Daniel you are such a warrior

the greatness I see in you is that you know how to pull together all your

incredible energy and you know how to fight and you know how to play and you

know how to make good choices.

And to my son Kaiser,

you're a brilliant builder.

You're so incredible at constructing things and building things and coloring

pictures and you do a really good job listening to your teacher and following

instructions. If we can just slow down time to get present and connect with our

children, let them fill your heart, let them feel your love, because they don't

want to learn from someone that has the right answers. They want to learn from

someone who seize them and from someone who loves

them. Someone they can trust to reassure them. In those brief healing moments, you

are teaching your children some of the best ways of being a human.

I sure hope

you enjoyed today's video I personally take it right to my heart because I got

four little kids as you've seen and it's important for me to do the best that I

can at this time in their life. And you know, you should check out the link below

and request some information on our children's events because while we've

got limitless for adults and age 16 on up we also put on regular youth events

to help your children master the conversation of choice and self-talk.

Mini Alışveriş | Mini Haul 🛍 H&M, Zara, Mango - Duration: 8:40.

Hello everyone! Today I wanna talk about the pieces I bought recently.

So as you can see from the title this is a haul video.

Without further ado let's get right into it.

The first piece I got is from Mango.

This is literally for me because

I wanna go to Tokyo and I love noodle/ramen.

It's mixture of both.

I really loved it.

It's both minimal and cute at the same time.

It's a good piece because I can wear with everything easily.

The second piece is a kinda-short-pants.

I got it from Boyner (local store), there was a huge sale.

And the brand is a local brand, Selen.

It's like that.

I always wear black pants but black is better for me now.

And also I love black, that's why.

That turned out well.

Cuff part is short.

It's not loose, I mean yeah, I love it.

Now, next one is this cap.

I needed to cool down my love for Balenciaga in a cheap way.

They have caps that writes Balenciaga in front of them both in white and black.

I found it from a street seller when I was walking down in the streets of Ankara.

It's 10 Turkish liras which is good I think.

It doesn't look that lousy.

IDK, I think there's no need to spend a lot of money for a cap.

And then while it's on it, lemme talk about that.

This and that one which looks like a safety pin and the unicorn one they were all a set, it was 20 Turkish liras.

I couldn't help myself and bought them.

I gave the unicorn one to my sister because she loves unicorns so much.

I'm planning to pin this one on a black t-shirt to that part I'm showing.

I pinned this one on to the cap already, that was a set like that.

They are cute IMO, got them from H&M.

Now, this is a piece which is from H&M again.

This is actually a keyring.

But I mostly use it on, I don't know what it's called, the part where belts settle.

I wonder what we call it but whatever I put this on that part, it becames an ornament.

If it was only this circular one but bigger, would've looked like Vetements' belts.

But there is safety pin, I loved them so much together.

Actually I also thought about this:

Balenciaga made exact same huge safety pin earrings like that.

I thought removing it and turn it into a earring but I don't want to ruin it anymore.

I already own safety pin earrings.

That's it, it was 25 Turkish liras.

I think it's beautiful

and you can hook it on your bag, you can use it as keyring if you wish or

like I do you can use it with your pants

or for example, that was my sister's idea, but that part may cause a problem

but you can buy a chain an use it as a big necklace.

But as I said, I probably am going to use them with my pants.

Again, I got a lip gloss set which is super cute from H&M and it's 20 Turkish liras again, they are all economic.

By the way before I forgot lemme tell, the t-shirt I showed first is 36 Turkish liras, even it's from new season it's very cheap.

Let's go back to this.

I actually bought them with a purpose of using them on my eyelids, making shiny eye makeup, etc.

And I fell in love with this color.

But of course it's a lip gloss that's why it doesn't turn out as colorful as it seems on the bottle unfortunately.

I have to use it on another color.

Or I will use them on my lips as usual.

But the fact that it's like a keyring is so comfortable for carrying it in your bags, it's a very beautiful thing.

The colors are beautiful too.

It has another color option too.

There wasn't the other one when I went there.

I saw it when I went H&M again.

But I'm happy with these colors, all of them are too cute in my opinion.

Now it's time for the pieces that I got from Zara.

Socks with unicorns.

It's because my sister and I love unicorns a little bit.

My sister loves them so so much, for me, I love them too but not as much as she loves.

These two are a pair, they have pompoms over there which are so cute.

But they are in set with these two.

They have pink stars on them.

I think they are so sweet, we got them from Zara's kids section.

That's it, I can't remember the exact price. If I found the links of products, I will write them down below.

It's time for a thing that I got from Zara again.

We are still talking about the stuff I got from kids section.

This Hello Kitty perfume were already in Zara years ago.

It was in pink box, bottle was a circular thing with a Hello Kitty print on it.

But after years, they bring it back again.

And it has a very sweet bottle like that.

Let's pass its cuteness, you know not every perfume suits on every skin but this one really suits to me and it smells sooooo good.

I really like it, it is a scent that I love.

I have a perfume that I also got from Zara, we bought it months ago on my birthday, when I finish that one I'll start using this.

The final things that I'm going to show are stationery stuff.

We were talking about this with Ayse months ago. She founded and shared a video on Twitter.

A video of a YouTuber who made a bullet journal, she was going through pages of it in the video.

We liked it a lot.

I couldn't start making it because of exams but then...

Mert started making bullet journal, Aysegul makes drawings, seeing them made me want to start making it

and finally I told myself I'm starting making it.

That's why I got some supplies for my bullet journal.

This is my notebook.

Its brand is Lutart, it writes on the back.

Now, I don't know if I want to show it or not because

I'll shoot a video like that where I show the pages and explain how to make it like that video when I progress my journal well.

So that's why I think let's not look inside of it now.

Notebook is like that, I bought it in a big size to draw things as I pleased, to do everything easily.

By the way I got it from a stationery in Ankara so it will be easier for you to search with brand, I don't need to say where I bought i I think.

Now it's time for these indexes.

I'm going to divide them as 4 categories.

For example this one is going to be the one that I'll use for future logs.

I mean I can go to the page I want directly, also to make it easier because this journal is also memo book.

I got them from D&R (local store), costed 6,50 Turkish liras, they are so cute IMO.

They are supplies for my notebook.

Now the other supply is this pen.

Its brand is Artline, it says 200, Fine 0.4

I bought it for my drawings but also for writing things too.

I liked it so much, but my notebook has a problem:

it stains on the back of the paper.

That's why I made my drawings on the right sides of the notebook, use the left side as a diary.

But anyway, I won't talk about it, I'll explain everything with details when I shoot the video.

And lastly there are the Stabilos which I couldn't resist their colors and bought...

Oops...

Stabilo Boss pens.

Their colors are super cute and they look so cute on notebook.

They stain the back of the paper a little bit too, maybe I can blame the pens this time for it.

I mean I'm not sure whether the problem is notebook or the pens but

as I said they are so cute and transform the drawings into cute ones too, they suit drawings.

First color is something like mint green

and then this is like a turquoise color.

There is a lilac color.

and there is an orange color

then yellow which I'm holding downwards

and then there is a pink.

I got them for 3,25 Turkish liras each, the stationery I went was a place that is a little bit economic, that's why.

Yes, that's all I have for today.

I hope you liked it.

Thank you so much for watching, I hope we'll see each other on the next video.

Take care of yourself, see you!
