Hey guys, Nick Drossos from Code Red Defense. Today, we're going to be looking at

knife defense a knife attack at the throat. So, let's say that the attacker

has a knife to your throat now. Let's say you're put in this position and he wants

your money. Guys give him the money. I don't care how great of a fighter you are

you know his mindset, you don't know if the guy's on drugs.

One wrong move, you flinch wrong, he thinks you're doing something, boom

carotid artery, you're dead okay. Now let's say, you decide to defend yourself.

First thing I want to do is bring my hands up, start talking. I want to get him to

forget about this and get him to start thinking about, what does he want?

I'm your best friend right now, man what do you want? Want my money? You want my

wallet? You want my keys? What do you want? Get him talking.

Once you get him talking, he starts forgetting about the knife, okay? So if I'm

here and I'm talking to him and he's saying. Say whatever you want.

I'm going to hurt you, I'm going to hurt you.

Shit, man, I don't want... I don't want any of the...

I'll give you some money. Want some money?

I have some money.

Okay, so what do I do? I start talking to him. When do I make my move. I make my move when

the person is talking. I trap, I clear my body of the knife and I move the arm, and I

trap with everything I have. From there, I would love to make it fancy and

tell you from there, you go one, two, and then you turn him this way. And then you come here and you grab the

knife and you do some fancy move. That's going to get you hurt and that's what 90% of the people are

teaching. The reality, I could only calculate from here to here. From there

anything might happen. What would you do Pat? Oh shit, you okay? << Yeah. I almost elbowed you.

From there he would go for a headbutt. I would be here. What would be my next move? From there,

I would probably just try to buck him down, if I could slide it down. What would be your

next move? I'm going to pull it away. From there, look at where my hand is, boom,

I would elbow over here upwards.

That's how you have to learn hot to defend yourself. Action, reaction. action, reaction. You don't know,

you've never going to fight, the same fight twice. I don't know how he's going to react.

He might pull away the knife. He might try to punch me, he might try to tackle me.

So when you're doing this self defense drill, go one at a time and develop to fight in the moment

If Herrera is given an opportunity this weekend, he will likely start alongside Matic and Paul Pogba in midfield, with Juan Mata dropping to the bench.

Attack.

Mourinho has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal in attack, with Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford firing on all cylinders so far this season.

Martial scored from the bench in United's two opening games of the season and was rewarded with a start against Leicester where he was unable to find the net.

Rashford will be full of confidence and pushing for a start this weekend, following his Wembley heroics, and could be handed an opportunity from the start.

it's been a while since we did not meet

i started a print

but of what ?

there was an update of simplify 3d

a great software to manage 3d print

and i started a test print

to see what i can do with it

the first layer holds well

i shop time i'm used to do utility object

or rather practical things with the 3dprinter

but this time

visual

i'm back into my printing software

that we can tweak to modify the form

the picture is scare so it suggest a width of 100mm

the final print will be 10cm wide

and the depth

means, at what maximum height it will stretch

what you want to print

and the white parts of the picture

will also be printed

it will create a base plastic layer

you can define the height of the "white" base

here it's 0.4mm and create

Welsh Cakes Taste Test in Cardiff, Wales - Duration: 10:05.

Well hello hello and welcome to our cozy little AirBNB here in Cardiff, Wales.

Since we are traveling in Wales we figured we should introduce you guys to Welsh Cakes

(picau ar y maen).

And these little baked goodies are really really tasty.

The other day our AirBNB host came knocking on our door and he was like here guys I brought

you some Welshcakes (pice bach) and we were like awesome.

And they did not last long let me tell you.

They did not.

Oh my gosh, it was like a little pack of six or eight and we devoured those right away.

I think we finished them within less than 6 hours.

Something like that.

Yeah.

I think it was a matter of minutes to be honest.

I just gobbled mine up with tea.

Um but yeah today we were walking around town and we walked past that was handing out samples

and I was like ooh.

Those look good.

Yeah, wasn't it called Fabulous.

Fabulous Welsh Cakes.

We tried some of their samples and they were so tasty that we walked right in on the spot

and bought a whole bunch.

And they're right across from the Castle.

Yes.

They are outside of the arcade.

Yeah, so the store is located in the Castle Arcade.

Right.

And they sell these, you can buy a little box, or you can pick them out individually

for 50 pence.

Yeah, so we got 3 different kinds.

They had traditional, they had white chocolate and vanilla and they had almond so that is

what we'll be sampling.

And something really cool to keep in mind that they told me when I was paying is that

uh everyday they have the original one.

But um on the other days they switch up the special ones.

Yeah, the flavors change so I imagine on some days they have like chocolate chip.

Haha.

I think that is what she mentioned so that would be so cool to try.

Right now we're trying to decipher the different flavors because they've all been sitting in

a bag and they kind of smell like each other.

You know what we actually can't quite distinguish it so maybe let's do a taste test once you

bite into it hopefully you can figure it out.

Haha.

Okay, number 1.

Let's try this one.

Let's see what could this be.

Mmmm.

It has a nice little dusting of sugar on top.

Yeah.

Mmmm.

Yeah, they are all dusted with sugar.

These are so scrumptious.

I like that they are I mean they look quite thin and you might even say they look kind

of insignificant but they are fairly heavy.

Like they are they're denser than what you might think.

Yeah, after I ate my 3 the other day I was actually full.

I think this could be the vanilla one.

This one has a lot more raisins I think.

I think we did an okay job identifying it after all.

And you know what?

You can eat these on their own or you can also put jam on them.

So we've got some strawberry jam while we're here.

When you try them I want you to spread a little jam on some of your bites.

But yeah, those are delicious.

Absolutely scrumptious and um yeah I would suggest.

I would suggest definitely trying the original and then getting the some of the specialty

flavors of the day too just so you can kind of compare and contrast a little bit.

I mean out of the three I think I like the original the most.

But I also really like the almond one and I also like the vanilla one because they just

have a bit of some subtle flavor differences.

Well, well we started with 6 and now we're down to 3.

Only 3!

These all look the same.

Let's see what my sniffing skills are like.

This one is vanilla.

And we've both been sick recently so I don't think our sniffing skills are quite up to

snuff.

I know we're like coughing and sniffling.

We're better at coughing at the moment but I think this one is a vanilla one so let's

see.

Mmmm.

Good?

Oh yeah.

That has got chunks of white chocolate in there.

Right.

The one that was vanilla also was with like vanilla white chocolate I think.

This kind of has like a Christmas-y flavor to it.

Do you like that?

It just makes me think of the holidays.

I really like that.

Do you want to try that one with a bit of jam or a different one.

You know what?

Maybe I should.

Yeah.

Because when we've had um obviously these are different from scones but when we've had

scones typically there we put clotted cream and jam on.

Let's put some strawberry jam on top.

And we haha.

Here is a bit of sad behind the scenes.

We went to 2 different grocery stores trying to find clotted cream.

Cornish clotted cream.

Yeah.

Gone!

And of all of the things they had like all kinds of other creams like double cream, single

cream.

All these different creams and then under the little section that said Cornish Clotted

Cream it was empty.

Nothing.

Right.

And then we even went to another supermarket to try to find it and they were also sold

out.

So so sad.

That is how much people love their Cornish Clotted Cream.

It just flies off of the shelves.

This is so good.

I can't believe I've already finished one.

Short demand.

Honestly, it doesn't even need the jam.

It is good on its own.

Yeah, as is.

Yeah, I agree with you.

It is sweet enough.

I agree.

So you know what?

I'm going to slide this over and keep eating my scones.

So let's see if you can guess between your original one and the almond.

Because you know I did a pretty good job because I had 6 to decipher and I was able to get

three different ones so that means that these will definitely be correct for you.

Mmmm.

Almond.

Oh my gosh.

So good.

Like these look quite crumbly.

Yeah.

But they are actually quite moist in your mouth.

I don't know if they are made with butter or with lard.

It is usually one of the two ingredients but it gives it like a nice bit of moisture so

I really like that it is not dry bread or anything like that.

It is so good.

I'm like um um um.

Well now that we're down to the last one we've brought out the friend.

A friend!

A fellow relative.

This is a relative of the Welsh Cake I would say.

So whenever we travel in the UK I love eating my scones.

I usually have these with clotted cream and jam.

And I mean I think most people probably just eat them in the afternoon but I'm happy to

have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oh my gosh.

So yeah, when I first tried the Welsh Cake it kind of reminded me of the scone.

Even though they are clearly quite different.

Clearly different in terms of size.

In Canada and the US we had the what was that TV show where it was the Cookie Monster.

You're the Scone Monster.

I'm the Scone Monster.

You devour scones.

Yeah and you know what?

Up until this afternoon I thought that Welshcakes were baked in the oven but they are not.

They actually cook them on a griddle.

And we saw that when walked into the shop and they were just like preparing them out

in the open.

Yeah.

So yeah, they just like keep flipping them on the griddle until they are cooked.

And what are the main ingredients?

Main ingredients.

I actually had to open a little file to look this up.

So Welsh Cakes (cacen gri) can be made with flour, butter or lard, currants, eggs, milk

and spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg.

And sometimes instead of the currants you can actually get raisins.

So yeah, those are the main ingredients.

Um, but yeah you know what?

In the past, I would have said scones were number 1 but having tried freshly made Welsh

Cakes (teisen radell) I'm kind of addicted to these at the moment.

So I think I prefer these.

Yeah, and I think now while we're in Wales you better continue saying that.

Haha.

And while I can.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to find these once we're traveling around you know

the UK or whatever.

So yeah, that is a last one for you to try.

It is the original so yeah give it a go.

If you find yourself traveling in Cardiff or anywhere in Wales you seriously need to

try these (welshcakes).

They are so tasty.

You can have them anytime of day.

And something that I want to point out too is that you can get them from a specialty

shop like we did or you can also just find them in convenience stores or grocery stores.

Yeah.

Just look for where there is a bread section.

But you will find them in there in packages.

Track down Fabulous Welshcakes and maybe go like several days in a row to try their different

flavors and see which ones you like best.

Summer Book Haul | 2017 - Duration: 7:03.

Hey guys it's Trina and this is my summer book haul, so these are the all the

books that I have acquired over the past three months in the summer season. I'm

gonna start out by recapping a couple of books that I have gotten from Fairyloot

over the summer so the first of those was Roar by Cora Carmack. You guys

have already heard me talk about these books so I'm just gonna give like a

really brief synopsis here in case you didn't but I will link my Fairyloot

unboxing videos below. But roar is a YA fantasy novel about a

girl who can control storms, or she's supposed to be able to control storms

but she was born without that power. She's about to start ruling her Kingdom

and she's got to come up with a way really quick to gain her magical powers.

Their July pick was Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda foodie and this

is a book set in like a carnival and our main character is an illusionist. She's

like the only true illusionist that has been born in hundreds of years. She can create

illusions of people and all of a sudden her illusions are being killed off and

so they're trying to figure out the mystery behind that. I did only purchase

one book myself this entire summer. The book that I did purchase is one that

I've really been looking forward to and I knew that I wanted to own it before I

even read it. That is Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios. I have read this book,

it's going to be reviewed in my August wrap-up. This is a YA contemporary story

about an abusive romance. I have had a manipulative, toxic relationship before

and I have found that I enjoy reading books that explore that with teenagers

because I was very young when I experienced that, so this was a book that

I knew was gonna have a lot of personal meaning to me and it didn't disappoint

so I really appreciate this book and I'm really glad that I bought it because it

is definitely one that I want to own. I think it's very very important. I also

did a book swap on Twitter with Whitney from whittynovels for an ARC of A

Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis and I do actually own the hardcover

copy of this because I like to buy all of Mindy's books. That's why I don't

usually get ARCs of her books because I know I want to own them and support them.

But I was like you know Whitney had this up for trade and she wanted some merch

that I had and I was like it's just sitting on my shelf collecting dust, sure.

I'm just gonna start my collection of any books of hers that I can find. I

don't have room for that but that's a thing that I did this month [laughs]. If you

aren't familiar with this book, this is a YA

historical novel about a girl who was put into an asylum because she's

pregnant out of wedlock. There's a mystery going on in here. The main plot

is that that main character ends up working along with a doctor and then

they end up trying to catch a serial killer.

Then Thomas Nelson publishing sent me a copy of Unraveling by Sara Ella

which is the sequel to Unblemished and this is a YA urban fantasy series about a

girl living in New York who discovers that parallel versions of the world

exist and she actually is from a different dimension, different world. I

did review this in my July wrap-up briefly so if you want to hear more of

my thoughts on this book specifically you can check out that wrap-up. The last

five books I have to show you are all ARCs - advanced reader copies - that were

sent to me by Penguin Teen. I got their like Game Changers box which was really

cool because I had no idea to expect that and it was just awesome. So you guys

may have seen this floating around but I'll tell you guys about each of these

books now. So first up is Warcross by Marie Lu. This one comes out on September 12th.

It's about like this video game in the future that exists that everyone is

like obsessed with, you live your life a lot in this game, and her main character

is a hacker. She's like a bounty hunter on the side

to make some cash and she ends up hacking her way into the game. I'm really

looking forward to this one. I have read a couple chapters so far and it's very

fast-paced, very action-packed. I'm very into it so I'm really looking forward to

finishing this one and telling you guys my thoughts on it. Next is Jane

Unlimited by Kristin Cashore which comes out on September 19th. That is quite a

holo cover. How can I hold this that won't be distracting? And it seems like this

story is about a girl whose aunt recently passed away and then she

receives an invitation to go stay at this mysterious island and she goes

because before her aunt died she'd made her promise if you ever get an

invitation of this thing you have to go so she kind of goes to honor her aunt.

And while she is there over the course of her stay she has to like make five

different decisions that will have a big impact on the rest of her life. That's a

pretty vague summary. That's pretty much all I've gotten out of it and I want to

know more. Like what is going to happen? That sounds kind of spooky. Sounds like

she's being invited to like a test or a quest or a game or something. So

definitely I'm very intrigued by this and want to know more about it so I will

be reading this one soon hopefully as well. Also included was a partial ARC of

There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins. This full book comes

out on September 26. So partial ARC means there's only like

100 something pages. It's not even the full book and I'm very sad about that

because this is one of my most anticipated releases of the year. I

really want to see how she's gonna do this genre so I'm really excited

about this book and I can't wait to read it. It comes out September 26. It's just a

thriller novel kind of in the vein of Scream. Then is Things I'm Seeing Without

You by Peter Bognanni and this one comes out on October 3rd. This is a YA

contemporary novel about a girl whose best friend

just killed himself and so she is dealing with that, she drops out of high

school, and I believe she starts writing him after he's gone. Like it was

something they did, they used to send each other notes and she just keeps

writing to him. The synopsis kind of ends by saying "then she receives a message

she never expected" so I'm not really sure what that means/ Is he like gonna

write her back? Or is she gonna receive a note from him that he wrote while he was

still alive that he intended to give to her? So I'm not really sure about it. I

haven't really heard too much about this book but I'll definitely see if I can

give it a shot and see if I like it. And the last ARC they sent me is Forest of a Thousand

Lanterns by Julie C. Dao. This is a fantasy novel and it is a retelling. It

is an East Asian retelling of the Evil Queen story and this one is about a

girl who's meant to be Empress but she can only do that if she embraces her

dark side. And that's all I need to know about it because that sounds really

interesting. It sounds like kind of a villain or an antihero origin story or

something, so we'll definitely see. I know there's a lot of hype for this one. I

have also been looking forward to this one before I received the ARC because I

had been hearing about it so definitely another one that I'm very excited about.

They just hit it out of the park with this box of ARCs. Some very very good

titles here. So those are all the books that I have recently gotten that have

been added to my collection in the summer, the

Welsh Cakes Taste Test in Cardiff, Wales - Duration: 10:05.

Well hello hello and welcome to our cozy little AirBNB here in Cardiff, Wales.

Since we are traveling in Wales we figured we should introduce you guys to Welsh Cakes

(picau ar y maen).

And these little baked goodies are really really tasty.

The other day our AirBNB host came knocking on our door and he was like here guys I brought

you some Welshcakes (pice bach) and we were like awesome.

And they did not last long let me tell you.

They did not.

Oh my gosh, it was like a little pack of six or eight and we devoured those right away.

I think we finished them within less than 6 hours.

Something like that.

Yeah.

I think it was a matter of minutes to be honest.

I just gobbled mine up with tea.

Um but yeah today we were walking around town and we walked past that was handing out samples

and I was like ooh.

Those look good.

Yeah, wasn't it called Fabulous.

Fabulous Welsh Cakes.

We tried some of their samples and they were so tasty that we walked right in on the spot

and bought a whole bunch.

And they're right across from the Castle.

Yes.

They are outside of the arcade.

Yeah, so the store is located in the Castle Arcade.

Right.

And they sell these, you can buy a little box, or you can pick them out individually

for 50 pence.

Yeah, so we got 3 different kinds.

They had traditional, they had white chocolate and vanilla and they had almond so that is

what we'll be sampling.

And something really cool to keep in mind that they told me when I was paying is that

uh everyday they have the original one.

But um on the other days they switch up the special ones.

Yeah, the flavors change so I imagine on some days they have like chocolate chip.

Haha.

I think that is what she mentioned so that would be so cool to try.

Right now we're trying to decipher the different flavors because they've all been sitting in

a bag and they kind of smell like each other.

You know what we actually can't quite distinguish it so maybe let's do a taste test once you

bite into it hopefully you can figure it out.

Haha.

Okay, number 1.

Mmmm.

It has a nice little dusting of sugar on top.

Yeah.

Mmmm.

Yeah, they are all dusted with sugar.

Mmmm.

These are so scrumptious.

I like that they are I mean they look quite thin and you might even say they look kind

of insignificant but they are fairly heavy.

Like they are they're denser than what you might think.

Yeah, after I ate my 3 the other day I was actually full.

Yeah.

I think this could be the vanilla one.

Yeah.

So I'll put this one down here.

That was tasty.

Okay let me try this one over here.

Taste test.

This one has a lot more raisins I think.

That might be the traditional one.

Mmmm.

The traditional one usually has raisins.

And this one has a little bit more sugar on it.

Let's see if we can sniff out the hazelnut then.

Alright, I'm hoping this one will be hazelnut.

Isn't it almond that we are looking for.

Mmm, yeah it is either it is one of the nut ones.

I can't remember if it is hazelnut or almond but let's try it.

Oh yep, I can some nuts.

Oh, there we go.

Mmmm.

Yep.

That is.

Found it.

I think we did an okay job identifying it after all.

And you know what?

You can eat these on their own or you can also put jam on them.

So we've got some strawberry jam while we're here.

When you try them I want you to spread a little jam on some of your bites.

But yeah, those are delicious.

Absolutely scrumptious and um yeah I would suggest.

I would suggest definitely trying the original and then getting the some of the specialty

flavors of the day too just so you can kind of compare and contrast a little bit.

I mean out of the three I think I like the original the most.

But I also really like the almond one and I also like the vanilla one because they just

have a bit of some subtle flavor differences.

Well, well we started with 6 and now we're down to 3.

Only 3!

These all look the same.

Let's see what my sniffing skills are like.

This one is vanilla.

And we've both been sick recently so I don't think our sniffing skills are quite up to

snuff.

I know we're like coughing and sniffling.

We're better at coughing at the moment but I think this one is a vanilla one so let's

see.

Mmmm.

Good?

Oh yeah.

That has got chunks of white chocolate in there.

Right.

The one that was vanilla also was with like vanilla white chocolate I think.

This kind of has like a Christmas-y flavor to it.

Do you like that?

It just makes me think of the holidays.

I really like that.

Do you want to try that one with a bit of jam or a different one.

You know what?

Maybe I should.

Yeah.

Because when we've had um obviously these are different from scones but when we've had

scones typically there we put clotted cream and jam on.

Let's put some strawberry jam on top.

And we haha.

Here is a bit of sad behind the scenes.

We went to 2 different grocery stores trying to find clotted cream.

Cornish clotted cream.

Yeah.

Gone!

And of all of the things they had like all kinds of other creams like double cream, single

cream.

All these different creams and then under the little section that said Cornish Clotted

Cream it was empty.

Nothing.

Right.

And then we even went to another supermarket to try to find it and they were also sold

out.

So so sad.

That is how much people love their Cornish Clotted Cream.

It just flies off of the shelves.

This is so good.

I can't believe I've already finished one.

Short demand.

Honestly, it doesn't even need the jam.

It is good on its own.

Yeah, as is.

Yeah, I agree with you.

It is sweet enough.

I agree.

So you know what?

I'm going to slide this over and keep eating my scones.

So let's see if you can guess between your original one and the almond.

Because you know I did a pretty good job because I had 6 to decipher and I was able to get

three different ones so that means that these will definitely be correct for you.

Oh my gosh.

So good.

Like these look quite crumbly.

Yeah.

But they are actually quite moist in your mouth.

I don't know if they are made with butter or with lard.

It is usually one of the two ingredients but it gives it like a nice bit of moisture so

I really like that it is not dry bread or anything like that.

It is so good.

I'm like um um um.

Well now that we're down to the last one we've brought out the friend.

A friend!

A fellow relative.

This is a relative of the Welsh Cake I would say.

So whenever we travel in the UK I love eating my scones.

I usually have these with clotted cream and jam.

And I mean I think most people probably just eat them in the afternoon but I'm happy to

have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Oh my gosh.

So yeah, when I first tried the Welsh Cake it kind of reminded me of the scone.

Even though they are clearly quite different.

Clearly different in terms of size.

In Canada and the US we had the what was that TV show where it was the Cookie Monster.

You're the Scone Monster.

I'm the Scone Monster.

You devour scones.

Yeah and you know what?

Up until this afternoon I thought that Welshcakes were baked in the oven but they are not.

They actually cook them on a griddle.

And we saw that when walked into the shop and they were just like preparing them out

in the open.

Yeah.

So yeah, they just like keep flipping them on the griddle until they are cooked.

And what are the main ingredients?

Main ingredients.

I actually had to open a little file to look this up.

So Welsh Cakes (cacen gri) can be made with flour, butter or lard, currants, eggs, milk

and spices such as cinnamon or nutmeg.

And sometimes instead of the currants you can actually get raisins.

So yeah, those are the main ingredients.

Um, but yeah you know what?

In the past, I would have said scones were number 1 but having tried freshly made Welsh

Cakes (teisen radell) I'm kind of addicted to these at the moment.

So I think I prefer these.

Yeah, and I think now while we're in Wales you better continue saying that.

Haha.

And while I can.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to find these once we're traveling around you know

the UK or whatever.

So yeah, that is a last one for you to try.

It is the original so yeah give it a go.

flavors and see which ones you like best.

Almond Flour | All Nigerian Recipes - Duration: 2:36.

Hello!

I'm Flo of all nigerian recipes dot com.

In this video, I will share the simple process of making almond flour with you.

Almond flour may be common outside Nigeria but within Nigeria the nuts are more common

than the flour.

That is if you find the nuts.

If you find it difficult getting almond flour where you live, this video is for you.

Or you simply want to make your own almond flour because you suspect that

that thing they sell to you in the name of almond flour contains other ingredients.

You need peeled raw almonds.

These are what they look like.

In Nigeria, you can buy almonds from Shoprite, SPAR and all those big supermarkets.

Outside Nigeria, you can buy them from Walmart, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Carrefour, Alcampo.

Then you need a dry mill to grind it.

Any coffee grinder or spice grinder can do this job well.

Crush it a bit with your hand and fingers like this.

By doing this, you are helping your grinder so that it grinds it quicker.

The length of time you grind each batch is important.

You want them to grind in as short time as possible so that the grains of almonds do

not stick together.

You can also crush it with a crucible or mortar.

Also important, grind a few almonds at a time or as much as your grinder can allow without

the grains clumping up.

You can see the tiny quantity I am grinding in one batch.

Pour into a sieve with a wire mesh.

And shake it shaky it baby!

Shake it!

Use a spoon to crush the clumps.

Here are the ones that did not grind very well.

Add it to the next batch and repeat the process till done!

That's it!

Perfect homemade almond flour that you trust!

You can use it for several recipes.
