Chatty Friday Reads | 2018 | Kendra Winchester - Duration: 10:08.

Hey guys! How's it goin? Right, so today we're just going to be doing a chatty

Friday reads video. Now this might get a little complicated because there's a lot

going on right now. I can't tell you about because it's the Reading Women

award season, and we announce our Reading Women award short lists in the early

November. And these shortlists are based on the books that we think deserve

a little more attention or stories that haven't typically been told before or

something like that. Past winners have included SHELTER by

Jung Yun, PACHINKO by Min Jin Lee, ALL THE SINGLE LADIES by Rebecca Traister, and

HUNGER by Roxane Gay. And I think you can get a feel for the books that Autumn and

I look for that we want to promote and feature. We don't have the money to

give these great monetary prizes to authors that win. They basically just get

a tote bag and "we love your book!" and then we go buy it 5 billion copies of

them. Not really, but we buy a lot of their books and then we use them for

giveaways or we use them in the reading women's store or different things like

that. I've gifted the books you know a lot and

it's nice because then I can go find these books and they make great gifts.

They are the books that I have gifted the most honestly, and we just promote

the books for the rest of Reading Women's existence, which is fun. I mean,

you know it helpful I guess. So anyway, those will be coming out, and I will be

doing a video on each of the short lists, but it will be announced first obviously

on the podcast. So if you're not subscribed to Reading Women yet,

click link above my head or down the box below. You can go check it out other

stuff we'll be announcing later this year, in theory. We'll see how that goes,

so that's what we've been preparing for. I know very exciting, right? Such a tease.

But yeah, I really can't talk about it anyway what have I been reading. Well I

can't tell you all the things I've been reading, obviously, because the award, but

I have been, in between really intense books that are amazing but intense and

emotionally devastating in a good way, I've been reading a Lockwood & Co. by

Jonathan Stroud. All these books are just fun.

I think they're just well told stories. Jonathan Stroud is very good at witty

dialogue. I absolutely love his writing style.

I love his sense of humor, and these are great middle reader books that are

perfect for people like me who want a little bit of spookiness and scariness,

but not a ton like not Stephen King level or whatever. I also read CITY OF

GHOSTS by Victoria Schwab. This is her first middle reader book. I think it was

okay. Like, I I don't know. I feel like in such a concise tight short length of

book, I expected a little more. But it was very interesting, and I'm very interested

in the world that she's building. And I'm obviously gonna pick up the next one, so

we'll see about that. I'm not sure if I'll buy it. Maybe if it shows up on

something like book outlet I'll pick it up, but, yeah, I thought it was pretty good

for a first middle reader. We'll see what happens,

but I really love ghosts. Just there's something special about the

afterlife from the dead, and reading those types of books at this time of

year—I think that's really perfect. I did read THE SHINING for the first time

earlier this year with Samuel. I like THE SHINING because I can't do animal

violence, and he has a lot of animal violence in his books, because other

people have told me, not that I've read it. And this was a nice intro so I could say

I got a feel for Stephen King's work, but also, you know, I don't have to

read anything it don't want to read. Also when you watch the movie I see why

he was so mad about the adaption of THE SHINING. While it's like a classic at

this point, I see why he you know it was basically stripped of all of its philosophy

and deeper meaning and just made into like a thrilling movie.

But yeah those are the spooky things that I've been reading. I also

like GHOSTLAND by Colin Dickey if you haven't checked that out.

It's a nonfiction book about haunted locations. . . . Dylan has removed the leg of

his elephant from the elephant. [to Dylan] You're supposed to be nice to that toy.

He doesn't believe me. I feel so badly for that elephant, but it's okay. It gets

reincarnated every few months and it's fine.

So anyway many of you been asking about how my headaches have been going. Thank

you so much. I appreciate that. If you don't know, I've had a headache

since April. It's very common for me to have. . . I have chronic daily headaches and

migraines, which means you have 15 or more headache or migraine days a month.

Headaches and migraines are two separate things. I talked about that in this video.

You can go check it out if you want more details. Also disclaimer: as always I'm

not a medical professiona,l but I am seeing qualified medical professionals

who are familiar with my case. So yeah, it's still happening, but I'm not really

looking for any medical advice or anything. I just wanted to update you all.

On an everyday basis, I think I'm doing a lot better, but I still can't read or

write a lot. I can basically live in life. And every time this happens, I always

forget how much reading and writing we do in our daily life. I mean besides the

fact that that is my job. [laughs] Like you have Instagram posts, and I've never had such

agony writing Instagram posts. You have Twitter. You have just general emails. You

have contracts. You have all of these everyday things, and so by the time I've

done all of those things, I don't really have any kind of space left before I get

a migraine. So I only you know that's all I can do for that day. It's like I only

have so many points I can spend per day on reading and writing before I trigger

a migraine. It's kind of like that so that's been interesting figuring that

out. We've had a lot of rain rain is also a big trigger for me. And I also get a

lot of nausea vomiting with my migraines. I'm not sure how many people realized

how many different symptoms migraines have you have like vertigo and dizziness

and lots of other things. I never had nausea and vomiting as a kid. As

my other health issues have really tanked as I've gotten older, they're

separate but they combined together to create this Power Ranger or super robot

kind of thing happening. And then they like collaborate on different symptoms

together. It's kind of how I imagine them. Yes, they have personalities in my brain.

And then they're these parties. I imagine when I'm not feeling well and then they

all hang out together and they think it's pretty cool. Yeah, so anyway that's

where we're at right now, and I have noticed that the longer I have this

particular migraine the more I get irritated when people talk about

audiobooks not as reading. And I am just . . . you know headaches and migraines are

just one thing one reason why people can't read print. There are a

plethora of other reasons, and I just can't no patience left. Yeah, and you know

over these past few months, I've had a greater appreciation for audiobooks.

And you know I've always used audiobooks. You know in middle school and high school

I always used audiobooks as an accessibility help. But if there was a

book I couldn't find on audio, I could always reserve that book for the, you

know, the little time I could read print. But I can't read anything right now, so I

can't read something if it's not on audio. And this is the first time I've

been at this extreme for such a long time, so I am looking for certain books

on audio and have to wait for them to come around. THE TRAUMA CLEANER, which I

started reading the day I got my migraine, is finally out on the audio on

hoopla. So I can finish that book. It's been sitting on my Goodreads for ages. My

word. So anyway, I'm really excited about it. If you haven't checked out THE TRAUMA CLEANER

definitely do so. I'm very excited about it.

I'm so excited also to get the audiobook because Sophie Carlon said that she

loved the audiobook. She is not an audio book listener, but it was like her first

audiobook that she'd ever listened to, and she absolutely loved it. I loved the

book so far. I'm about a hundred pages in, so I think I'll just start it over on

the audio and go from there. But yeah, I'm really excited to finally have that one on

audio. But what's interesting is that I want to promote more indie presses, but I

can't read a lot of those books because a lot of indie presses don't have a

financial backing to get the audiobooks produced. So there isn't one for several

of them. I hadn't really thought about that as much, and I've been thinking a

lot about accessibility. So what I started to do actually—

in my, you know, thought process—is I've started to close caption my videos now.

I've only done two so far, well three, including this one that you're watching.

So I'm gonna be doing it moving forward, but you can help by submitting a

closed caption, so like crowdsourcing the closed captioning. So

you could go back and watch other videos of mine and closed caption them send

them to me to be approved. And then I can have more videos closed captioned. And this

is difficult for me mainly because closed captioning videos is also type of reading, and

writing which I can't do very long so I won't be able to do all of them very

We May Have Found the First Exomoon! | SciShow News - Duration: 5:35.

[♩INTRO]

It's been more than 20 years since astronomers discovered the first planet

orbiting a star beyond our own.

And today, there's a catalog of more than 3700 confirmed exoplanets,

along with thousands more unconfirmed candidates.

But now, we might have found the very first moon beyond our solar system,

or an exomoon.

Last week, Science Advances published the first quote-unquote

"compelling evidence" of a huge,

Neptune-sized exomoon 8,000 light-years away.

In 2017, data from the Kepler Space Telescope seemed to contain hints that an

exomoon might be out there.

The data revealed that a body the size of a gas

giant was orbiting a larger body called Kepler-1625b.

Now, two astronomers from Columbia University have used the even-stronger

Hubble Space Telescope to further explore the system.

And from what they saw, it looks like that exomoon signature

isn't some error in the data.

In the new study, the team used the transit method to study 1625b.

In other words, they analyzed the light coming from its star and how it dims

as the planet passes between the star and us.

The weird thing was, about 3.5 hours after the planet's transit ended, there was

a smaller dip in brightness.

That suggests the planet has a moon trailing it.

To the disappointment of space nerds everywhere (including us) the team

ran out of observation time before the potential moon had finished its own transit.

So they don't have a full set of data to analyze.

The good news is, there is a little more data

that supports the planet having a natural satellite:

The planet's transit started over an hour earlier than was predicted.

That could happen if it had a moon tugging on it

and changing the system's center of gravity.

So far, all this evidence suggests this moon, if it exists,

is comparable in mass and size to Neptune.

By our standards, that's huge.

But since the planet is around the same size as Jupiter

and a few times more massive, it makes sense.

Then again, these properties aren't based on the strongest models,

so there's still some uncertainty.

It could be that our data is a bit off and that there isn't a moon at all.

Instead, there could be a second planet in the system that's responsible,

although there hasn't been any evidence of that so far.

It's also possible that 1625b could just have

a longer orbital period than we think.

Or it could be orbiting at such a distance or angle that it's not transiting every

time we look at it, which could be why our predictions were off this time.

Right now, the authors of this paper confess this first exomoon has to survive

years of scrutiny and follow-up before its existence can be confirmed.

But if it does end up being a moon beyond our solar system,

it will be a really important target to continue studying.

For example, since it's likely much, much larger than any moon in our system,

it opens the question of how planetary systems form and evolve.

And the moon's origins at the moment are a total mystery.

Like, was it captured, or did it form alongside its partner?

At this point, we can only guess.

In other moon news, a study published online this week in Nature Geoscience

predicts a decent chunk of Jupiter's moon Europa

might be covered in giant ice blades!

Officially, these blades are called penitentes.

They're formed when large chunks of frozen water heat up and sublimate,

turning directly from a solid into a gas.

On Earth, we see this happen in places like the top of the Andes Mountains.

But we've also seen evidence of these blades on Pluto.

For penitentes to form, the environment has to be super dry and cold,

the air has to be really still, and the sunlight has to hit the ice

at just the right angle and for long enough periods of time.

Then, the Sun's radiation causes heaps of water molecules to sublimate,

carving deep depressions into the surface and turning everything really spiky.

In other words, the penitentes don't grow up like stalagmites do

they're leftovers!

Eventually, penitentes smooth out or break apart,

either from geologic activity beneath the surface or space debris

smashing into them from above.

But the amount of time that takes can vary.

To learn more about Europa, astronomers wanted to determine the likelihood,

location, and size of penitentes.

So they created a model.

It took into account things like how Europa is tilted toward the Sun,

its range of temperatures, and the reflectivity of its surface.

They also needed to estimate how often space debris would crash into

Europa's surface, which would smooth out its features.

According to their model, water could sublimate faster than erosion could

smooth things out at latitudes below 23° or so.

That means, for a large band around Europa's equator,

we'd likely see a healthy population of penitentes.

The team also calculated that, over 50 million years

which is the average age of Europa's surface

the blades could get up to 15 meters tall.

That's three times taller than what we usually see on Earth.

Of course, all their stats are averages, and don't take into account local

geologic features, or exactly how impurities in the ice will play a role.

So there may be more to the story.

Unfortunately, our technology near Europa doesn't have the proper resolution

to find photographic evidence of this spiky surface.

But there is both ground-based radar and thermal data

from the 1990s Galileo probe that suggests penitentes could be there.

Studies like this are cool, but they're about more than just uncovering giant ice

spikes on a far-flung moon.

To scientists and engineers, this kind of information is really important

to know when planning a future lander mission to Europa.

The moon is one of a few that scientists are almost definitely sure has a liquid

water ocean beneath its surface.

And although there aren't any landers officially on the docket right now,

we'll need all the information we can get when we are ready to go.

Apple Harvest From 33 Month Apple Tree Grown From Seed - Duration: 10:34.

Hey everybody it's Rob the backyard gardenerr and it is definitely time for an

update on my apple tree and its fruit so I thought for this video everyone I

would exclude giving you an update on the other apple trees only because there

hasn't been a lot of progress I mean the trees are just a few months older than

the last update and so really the main thing is how does the apple tree fruit

look the green apples that were growing are they any bigger and I believe

they're mature now I think we should go ahead and cut them open take a look

inside and give them a taste test it's gonna be a little quicker video this

time because we're not gonna show you all the apple trees but on the next

update we'll get you updated on all the apple

trees I'm growing including the three new ones I started less than six months

ago all right let's take a look at this apple tree so here's the apple tree that

actually sent fruit in its month 27 and right now we're at 30 just over thirty

three months almost thirty three and a half months and so the fruit have been

on here for six months and a few days so they're about a hundred and eighty five

days or so that the fruit have been on here and there's not many left because I

have been pulling them off slowly and surely to test them out throughout the

season to see what they look like this is the last one of the pollinated from

mother nature apples it's tiny it didn't do much but I will tell you we've

started to get a little more size on these two green apples over here so now

they've gotten to about an inch around just slightly bigger on one of them and

I don't think they're crab apples I think what we have here is some small

green apples that are only small because it was the first year the tree fruited

and it's a small tree so I probably should have cut the fruit off and let

the tree get bigger because it did stunt the tree having a support it had about

at one point twelve or thirteen little apples on it but I've been plucking them

every couple of weeks trying to allow the other ones to get bigger and let the

tree focus back on growth the tree is a beautiful tree though it's healthy as

can be its leaves look great it's got several

good leaders up here it's got a pretty good canopy the only problem is we do

have this issue to deal with and I'm tempted here probably in the next two

months once the first freeze hits to cut off this second leader and then I'm

going to wrap it at the base to prevent any disease and at least try to I might

even use some of that tree paint to prevent any disease I was really nervous

about doing it because I'm afraid to kill the tree

worst case is I'll just cut it slightly pass I'm not gonna make it to flush but

you guys let me know should I cut it flush or should I cut it up here and

wrap it that way we could try to eliminate some something kind of some

kind of fungus infection getting inside the trunk I'm a little bit naive when it

comes to splitting leaders if you guys have any resources that you think I need

to read let me know or that you could share with me but let's get back to the

fruit so today we're gonna do pretty simple job here we're just gonna pluck

off all three of the fruit pieces that are on here there might be a fourth I

guess I should inspect it real quick and make sure I didn't miss one but I'm

pretty sure I've gotten all of them off besides these ones yeah so let's go to

grab the two big ones down here too we'll grab them both just like this so

here's the three apples the first year though what do you expect you take a

second and stuck the tree for any other fruits and I'll be right back alright

guys I don't see any other fruit and just to give you a last final update

this tree is about eight feet tall now so and I'm reaching all the way up and

I'm 6-1 so it's about eight feet tall so it did put on a little bit of size this

year now that we removed the fruit from the tree the last few pieces of fruit

and it's starting to cool down out here in Texas I'm hoping it can add on a

little bit more foliage some new shoots here I'm not going to do any topping to

this guy I'll wait if I do any pruning it'll be done in the spring or or late

winter but I do plan on handling this second later down here like I've pointed

out all right let's get these cut open and

let's get these tested alright guys so we have the two larger specimens right

here let me go ahead and get this one cut open I want to be a little careful

with this knife because I don't want to cut it so fast that I damage the seeds

but you know what inevitably it's so hard to find a spot to cut like we just

did of course we cut through all the seeds one of the ways you want to make

sure an apple is right is the seed coating should be brown and I believe if

you look at this looks like other than the flesh part there we go looks like we

have brown seeds so these should be ripe now I've split these unfortunately some

of them at least like that one there and this one here is mostly split we dumped

them out and maybe there's a second one in here that I missed yeah it looks like

it could be one so some of you have asked hey Rob will you grow seeds from

apples from your tree grown from seeds and I will obviously this tree produced

this year so it'll probably produce again next year so I'm not interested in

growing premature fruit seeds which is why I don't care about these seeds right

here now they're not fully damaged so it's not without saying that I might not

try to grow that one right there or the other one but it definitely looks as

though we might have mature seeds in here which means this is pretty much

mature apples for that sized tree for this year next thing I want to do is I'm

gonna go ahead and cut off the stem and we'll cut off a little bit of this base

here just to make it a little bit more easier to eat I do want to give this guy

a taste test it does feel like it's a little bit hard still looks like we got

another seed right there and there's definitely no shortage of seeds in these

and these little guys for sure alright now that we've got that done I think the

next order of business is to go ahead and give it a taste test and kind of

describe to you guys what I'm tasting here but you can see it appears as

though the is a little bit dry and I think it's

because it's compressed into such a small Apple let me take a taste test

real quick other than it being a little bit dry

it is sweet has that little bit of that classic sourness that you will get from

a green apple though but you can definitely tell that this tree might be

an actual green apple tree next year I'm curious to see if the fruit get bigger

next year when the trees larger and it's in its second season it to produce

flowers and fruit but the jury's still up let me give you another test of this

one

yeah I tell you if that's a crabapple it's the best tasting crabapple I've

ever had and if it's a green apple it's definitely a little bit dry inside for

sure I believe that these are possibly just small green apples from a small

immature tree I think what I'll do next is cut this open myself bring you back

in when I'm done if there's anything different to show on it alright guys so

what I've done on this one is I went ahead and quartered it and I quart it

out a little bit we end up with five seeds that if I wanted to try to grow I

probably could but they're from immature fruit so I don't know what they would do

I might try to grow them for funsies and see what happens let me know if you guys

have interested in seeing these seeds to see what they do might be a waste of my

time cuz you want to get seeds from mature fruit not immature fruit but they

might grow so this one was a little bit more juicier when I cut it but it dries

out quick I'm gonna give this big chunk a try and let you know if there's any

variance in what it tastes like okay yeah definitely more juicier the larger

the apples were the more juicier they were I know it's a little meager harvest

and you know it doesn't mean a lot this wasn't about getting fruit this year I

really just wanted to develop the tree more this year but it set fly

and I had to try to pollinate it myself which I did with crabapples the Majesty

crabapples and I wasn't expecting it the really set fruit and it did and I

watched it all year there's a lot of fun and I hope you guys had a lot of fun

watching along with me at the end of the day we got to try apples from an apple

tree grown from seed in less than it's 3 years I'm very interested to see how

this tree does next year I'm also interested in seeing how my other apple

tree grown from see they didn't set fruit this year if it does flower next

year and then I've got three other ones that I started from seed that are coming

into their own as well plus I've got three more ones that I started from

Honey Crisp apples that are now about six months old which I will catch you up

Black and White Melting Face | Halloween Makeup - Duration: 12:50.

hey guys it's bubbli welcome to my channel in today's video I'm gonna show

you how I did this black and white melted Halloween makeup look I really

hope you guys enjoy if you do make sure to give the video a huge thumbs up all

the products will be listed in the description below so let's go ahead and

get started okay so the first thing I'm going to do

is take this NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk and I'm going to map out where

the black and white face is gonna be melting in to the glam face alright so

once you have kind of a rough outline of where the black and white face is gonna

be and glam face is we can go in with your foundation I'm going to use ben nye

creme foundation in fair lightest cuz I'm a pale motherfucker I'm just gonna

take a semi dirty makeup sponge get that foundation on der and start

packing it on my face

I'm just gonna take a damp Beautyblender and blend that all out

okay so now I'm gonna go in with Ben Nye as the cream contour palette and I'm

gonna take the highlight color which I'm also super low on but whatever I'm gonna

just take some on my finger and put that in my highlight places again taking a

beauty blender and blend that oouut helps if you make a bunch of weird faces

while you're doing it once we blend everything I'm gonna go

in with Cody Airspun loose powder just to touch the glam side

take a big fluffy brush and brushing off all the excess powder I'm gonna take

some Ben Nye super white professional powder

and I'm gonna take that on a powder puff and bake my highlights

So because I have

SuperDuper hooded eyes I just cover my entire lid and crease area with eyeliner

pretty much and just forgo the whole situation and draw on a new crease so

I'm just taking this elf cream eyeliner you know a dirty-ass angled

flat brush and just map that on my eyeball okay so I usually just start in

the inner corner of my eye take that right up literally bring it like all the

way almost up to my eyebrow and then I take it to the end of my eyebrow and

then I start to bring it back in

we're going for some Trixie Mattel eyeliner right there and the spirit of

Halloween we're gonna do an orange eye over here so I'm gonna just take this o

palette that I got up in a pretty sure its discontinued now but whatever we're

gonna take the light orange color right here my fingers and I shot over here oh

wow so we're gonna take that lighter orange

color starting off the end of where we mapped out our eyeliner we're gonna just

start swooping that and I'm going right on top of my eyebrow but you could be

following your natural crease you know if you have one

I'm going on stuffing my eyebrow and then bring it up back down to vanilla

here we go am I going with more color just to liven it up a little bit I'm

also gonna wing that out a bit over here and bring it down on the other side of

the eyeliner over here you see that you see what I'm doing all right now I'm

gonna go in with a brighter orange the the bright orange right here okay

and a different fluffy brush and I'm gonna take the operator orange and

basically just live it up those orange that are not going on donaga noble in

there as far out I'm keeping it closer to the bottom of where that new crease

line is gonna be now I'm gonna go add with come on the shade and light palette

I'm gonna take the warmer brown color right here I'm gonna take that on the

very and side up the crease to deepen things up a little bit and I'm taking a

denser fluffy brush for the life

downloading enough product I'm getting more at eye-color and now I'm gonna go

in there we go you can see the product now and then we're just gonna softly

blend it

I'm going to go in with the fluffiest brush without any additional product and

I'm just gonna blend all that together so I'm just gonna take a cute little

concealer brush and the NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk and carve out my crease

so once we carve out the crease with the cream white and I'm just gonna go in

with a shimmery powder white eyeshadow and set the crates

I'm gonna brush away all the excess powder

I'm gonna go end without the same fluffy brush and the same light orange color

and start taking that underneath my eyes connecting it with the top right here

and then I'm going to go in without other puppy brows and the brighter

orange and go in a little bit closer to the waterline

I'm gonna take a flatter fluffy brush for the warm brown color and not that

pretty close to the waterline so I'm going to go in with that same concealer

brush it's more of the next jumbo pencil in milk and take that in the inner

corner underneath my eye let's tip it right in her up a little bit and then

I'm gonna take more of that shimmery white to set the cream

so now I'm just gonna go in and fill in my lid with eyeliner and phenol Agathe

I'm taking the same angled brush and cream eyeliner needs a lid I'm just

taking the black and half on G shade and light palette and setting that cream

eyeliner with eyeshadow just to make sure that it doesn't crease off for me

bitch why to do my eyebrows I'm gonna go in with a NYX eyebrow gel

blonde I'm gonna take an angled brush by her well I'm gonna start with my natural

eyebrows start a sort of fish and then just kind of go from there I'm gonna go

in with more of the product and start filling her end and for a more in-depth

tutorial on how to do what your eyebrows actually made a tutorial showing you how

to do two different types of drag eyebrows so be sure to check that out

I'll link to it somewhere okay description a little low cards I don't

know what corner it's on contour my face I'm going in with us pool

bronzer I'm gonna take these bottom two colors and kind of mix them together on

the coffee angle brush just start building up my classwork

kind of take a smaller English for Munoz and Kennedy that's how I write here

the next tumble - Zilla milk again brighten up the highlight on my nose I'm

gonna go in with us a wet and wild illuminating palette the white color

right here a mixture of that's like pink and white right here we're gonna take

the contouring blush and bronzer just take a blush right here

ferma lets me to go in with us i'll mineral lip liner and rose and I'm gonna

over line my lip

softer i overlay my lips and fill on the corners a little bit I'm just gonna go

and with Anastasio Beverly Hills liquid lipstick and naked this fill-in mother

I'm gonna go end with Linares a blip start this is like shimmering nude color

so I ended up kind of hating the lips that I died and I got a little bit of a

breakdown and by it managed to pull through all I did was take the same

brown eyeshadow that we used on the eyes and the condi palette and put it in the

outer corners I'm Linden to end a little bit so let's see you at the black and

white side of the face now shall we eat so I'm going in with the Halloween store

cream white makeup probably gonna regret this whatever it's all about we're just

gonna we're just gonna get some of that lovely quality white green makeup here

and start putting it on our face

now I'm going to take a bunch of that midnight super white powder and a fluffy

brush and I'm just gonna Pat

all over my face okay after we stopped the whole area with of the white powder

I'm gonna go in with Nixon jumbo pencil in milk again and line my waterline kind

of puffy paint brush right here and some great eye shadow gray and black eye

shadow and start to contour my face just a little bit so once I've added as a

contour and highlight to at the black and white side I'm gonna go in with the

NYX jumbo pencil and clean up the kind of defining edge as well as add the melt

and go mix also you like

so I went back in with the cream white and did the little drips it's not

everything with powder touched up anything that needed touching top over

mascara I'm just using Maybelline New York lash stiletto

so I'm gonna shove my mascara throw on some lashes and here she is this is the

Toyota Corolla what do you think, well there were great cars but you're going

anywhere from what a 39 year old car to a 29 year old car they're old

you never know, I mean find a customer once and it was an old lady and she said

you know they told me I should buy another car, she had one and it was 30

years old, it had 26,000 miles on it, I said no let me fix it for ya you don't

need to buy another car, these things are indestructible and yes it's 30 years old but

you only got 20 something thousand miles and I've seen them with 500,000 miles so I said

the thing really is worn that much and I fixed it for a few hundred bucks and she

went on her way and was happy, if you could find a gem like that from a little

old lady or old man that maybe was an estate sale or they lost their license

couldn't drive, go right ahead, when a car is 30 years old there can be a lot of

stuff just flat worn-out, you'd want somebody to check it out before you buy

it or if it's a deal where they're selling it for three four five hundred

bucks and you drive it and it seems to run okay, what the heck buy it, el gato

says if I don't drive five thousand miles in a year should I still change my

oil once a year, what do you think about mobile once a year versus other

synthetic oils, if you don't drive 5,000 miles a year you still want to change

your oil once a year because water vapor gets in it, the additives degrade

and so change once a year, the only time I break that is, if I have a toy like a

motorcycle and I Drive it 500 miles a year, okay I admit I might only change it

once every four five years, cuz really it's not gonna have any harm that tiny

amount, but if you drive normally less than five change it once a day, you know as

for the mobile one, all synthetics oils are pretty good

mobile oil is a decent synthetic oil, it cost awful lot of money but don't listen that

one they said you can change your oil every 20,000 miles, you can only do that

if you drive on the highway and because highway mileage going 60 is equivalent

to 10 percent of city, so 20,000 miles on highway in a year would be equivalent to

2,000 miles stop and go in city, you still got to change it once a year

so you know I wouldn't buy it super expensive unless

you were driving on highway all the time or were gonna to drive it for 20,000 and I

wouldn't do that anyways, I'd still change it every 10, pH says Scotty what

do you think of BMW motorcycles, I know a lot about them, those were originally, they had

the boxer engines with one cylinder on each side, they were in destructible, they didn't

have that much power, the Nazis used them in World War two in the desert some of

those things are still running, excellent strong engines, not that much

horsepower but they kept beefing them up, now they make a four cylinder in-line

just like the Japanese engines, it wins a lot of the races

I saw it kept winning the Isle of Man race in England, that was the biggest

fastest over 200 miles an hour and running on streets, they make excellent

speed motorcycles, now their speed motorcycles do burn a little oil because

of the design, a lot of people buy them they get kind of peed that they bought a

BMW super expensive four-cylinder engine and now it burn some oil, but oil is cheap and

those engines are really well made, if you don't mind paying the price today

they are a very expensive engines and machines to buy, they're not giving

them away, but they're well-built motorcycle if you like a bigger heavier a

motorcycle and the touring motorcycle, they're probably one of the best touring

motorcycles in the world, I'm into motorcycles but I'm not a tourer

I'd be bored out of my mind sitting for 10 hours. I'm the type of guy that likes

to get on and go spin real fast and have some fun and come back and do something

else, just like sailing, I tried sailing and I

thought it would be great, then I get on a sailboat and we got on one once that was

going from Houston to Galveston and back and there was a big Canadian

northern storm coming in and we got going the guy said like 10 knots, it's like

what 11 miles an hour and he said we're really screaming, oh my god this is gonna

there's really only two major things that do that, either your fuel filter is clogged

or the fuel pump is going bad, you can have that pressure tested, that's a simple

test that can tell you whether that's working or not, and if that isn't, the catalytic

converter can clog up and there's also simple test for that, all we

mechanics do is, you take off the oxygen sensor that's in front of the

catalytic converter and put a tester meter on and then we see if the back

pressure is too high, then the cat is clogged and you need to replace the catalytic

converter have those tested, cuz that's the most common thing, but that would

have nothing to do with the horn honking, so I'd checked the alarm system first, so

are no I'm just kidding but we are going to talk about the infamous ice cream

machine, what comes out of their smoothies, and some helpful tips to get

you the best experience you can have at McDonald's. So the infamous ice cream

machine most of time we just say it's broken because we're too lazy to like take

your ice cream, put inside the cup, and like give it to you but let's be honest

McDonald's ice cream compared to like any other ice cream shop you can get

your ice cream from come on no-brainer and oh my goodness not to get like

disgusting or anything but like you can see it start to color a bit a bit at the

very top it starts to age yes it does and the smell oh the smell that's

what you're putting on your bellies enjoy as you all probably know

McDonald's is not fresh

everything comes prepackaged our like pastries, the cookies, apple pies, the beef,

even the smoothies and the shakes they come in like these little bags not

little but these decent-sized bags and it's already made it's basically syrup the

smoothies and the shakes are syrup plain sugar and you're just adding ice

to it that's it well at least for the smoothies the shakes comes out in the

creamy flavor we use the same product for the ice cream and the shakes so that

cream that's what you're getting in your shakes as well choices so when another

customer comes in and orders the same exact thing we're obviously not gonna

make a new one because you know that be extra surplus where do you think we're

gonna get it from the old pile now I've never done this I always try to make

sure that the fresh product goes out to the customers the trick around that would

be like for example with fries you cook to order but make sure you say no

salt or else they're probably gonna grab some old fries put it in the fry pan holder

and just stick it in the hot grease and pretend it's fffrreeessshh make sure you say no salt

and that guarantees that they have to put down a fresh batch of fries for you

but as a McDonald's employee I never liked that it was one of my biggest pet

peeves I felt like I was being lied to why are you always lying I will make

sure to put a fresh batch of fries for you just tell me I always do my job

right so let's say you're on a diet why would

you even be a McDonald's if you're on a diet some people would like to think

that the salads are healthier than Big Macs or the quarter pounders or whatever

salads at McDonald's can go up to 500 to 700 calories and that's including the

dressing and the bacon bit and chicken whether that be grilled or crispy and

people are like look at me being bougie ass eating my Southwest grilled chicken

salad with my low fat balsamic dressing well honey you're not you're eating like

two Big Macs just go for the Big Mac Oh people choices so another piece of

advice from an employee is be nice be kind at the end of the day we are the

ones preparing your food so if you're asking for extra sauces it honestly

depends whether you come in nice respectful you know politely mannered or

pretending you're like the boss of the place all this and all that

pretending like you own me of course I'm gonna charge your ass 50 more cents for

that sauce so there you go don't have attitude because like you

never know you might do a little *spits into food profusely* Of course there's cameras and everything so we're not going to do that

just be politely mannered that's all we're asking we're decent people I mean of

course like we're like a bunch of teenagers and old people who don't give

a shit and are there for the money be respectful eat your burger sit your ass

down and be humble we're supposed to make sure that the food is quality

perfect for our customers so basically that means like we reach into the fry

box with gloves sometimes and we taste the food and see if it's perfect and whatnot

you know good enough to serve to customers but we all had that crusty

chicken nugget or that salty cold fry and the quality test is only when managers

need a snack so the regulations practiced by McDonald's everywhere is

usually very umm ... it's not done practically health wise it should be done unless like

someone of importance is there like a regional manager or corporate you're gonna

probably get food that's been dropped on the floor inside the boxes maybe your

like the patty fell on the floor who knows or maybe your chicken nuggets

delicious not a lot of people like wear gloves when they're making your

smoothies or when they're like you know giving your fries and stuff I mean I

will say people are very adamant of wearing their gloves while grilling the

meat making your sandwiches and sometimes putting the chicken nuggets in the boxes

but you have your occasion where that one person doesn't do it and like people

are just shitty at their jobs I mean I've never done it cause like I find

that extremely gross and I would never want someone touching my food without

their gloves on like I always practice what they preach I guess I'm gonna end

customer came in and she was like hi and I was like hi how can I help you yeah I

would like to order a cheeseburger no cheese so you mean a hamburger?

I can list all the ways you're doing your job incorrectly but I'm not going

to excuse me you're horrible your job I want to speak to a manager I really

wanted to rebuttle

just asked you simply if it was just a hamburger and then you started going off

on me like how if anything you were being rude I said this to her cause like you know

she was being rude and my manager defended me so there you go Debra I
