Youtube daily report Oct 13 2018

>> Rosemary: ON THIS FRIDAY

NIGHT --

>> I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS.

>> Rosemary: COLLEAGUES OF

KHASHOGGI EXPRESS GRIEF AND

ANGER.

TURKS SAY THEY HAVE EVIDENCE HE

WAS TORTURED AND KILLED.

WE ASK WHAT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

WILL DO.

>> THE CORRELATION IS NOT VERY

CLEAR.

>> Andrew: WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU

DRIVE HIGH?

THE RULES ARE MORE

CONTROVERSIAL THAN YOU MIGHT

THINK.

>> YOU THINK RACISM CAN CONTROL

ME?

THAT DOESN'T STOP ME.

>> WHAT TO MAKE OF KANYE'S

AWKWARD OUTBURST?

THIS IS "THE NATIONAL."

>> DID THE SAUDI REGIME MURDER

A JOURNALIST IN ISTANBUL, TURK

OFFICIALS SAY THEY HAVE VIDEO

AND AUDIO.

THE CLAIMS ARE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

BY HIS EMPLOYER, "THE

WASHINGTON POST".

>> HE WAS INTERROGATED, BEATEN

AND WE BELIEVE TORTURED AS IT

WAS DESCRIBED TO US AND

ULTIMATELY KILLED AND THERE IS

EVIDENCE ALSO OF HIS BODY BEING

DISMEMBERED ACCORDING TO PEOPLE

FAMILIAR WITH WHAT THESE

RECORDINGS SHOW.

>> Rosemary: TONIGHT WE WILL

LOOK AT WHAT'S BEING DONE TO

GET TO THE BOTTOM OF

KHASHOGGI'S DISAPPEARANCE AND

THE INTERNATIONAL REACTION TO

IT.

BUT LET'S START WITH WHAT WE

KNOW SO FAR WHAT HAPPENED THAT

DAY.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 2nd, KHASHOGGI

WAS IN ISTANBUL WITH HIS

TURKISH FIANCEE PICKING UP

PAPERWORK FROM THE CONSULATE,

HIS CONTACT INSIDE SOMEONE

NAMED SULTAN.

HE WENT INSIDE WHILE SHE WAITED

OUTSIDE WITH THE TWO CELL

PHONES.

THE BUILDING HAS FIVE CAMERAS

BUT SO FAR THERE'S NO FOOTAGE

OF HIM LEAVING.

ALSO SIGNIFICANT ACCORDING TO

TURKISH OFFICIALS, SAUDI MEN

FLEW IN ON TWO PRIVATE JETS.

THESE IMAGES SHOW THEM AT TWO

HOTELS IN THE CITY.

MORE DETAILED INFORMATION

INCLUDING BIRTH DATES AND EXACT

TIME THEY CLEARED PASSPORT

CONTROL WAS LEAKED TO A TURKISH

NEWSPAPER.

THIS MAN EXPERT ON GATHERING

DNA EVIDENCE AND DISSECTING

HUMAN BODIES THEY BELIEVE

SUPPORTS THE THEORY SHARED WITH

THE "NEW YORK TIMES".

TURKISH OFFICIALS SAY HE WAS

WEARING AN APPLE WATCH, THEY

ARE EXAMINING THAT DATA FOR

THINGS LIKE HIS HEART RATE AND

LOCATION.

BLACK VANS SEEN LEAVING THE

SAUDI CONSULATE.

FINALLY TURKEY SAYS FLIGHT

RECORDS SHOW THE SAUDI MEN LEFT

THE COUNTRY AT THE END OF THE

DAY.

>> Rosemary: NO ONE IS WATCHING

THIS CLOSER THAN "THE

WASHINGTON POST".

TODAY KHASHOGGI'S COLLEAGUES

PUBLISHED A FULL PAGE AD IN

PROTEST ALONG WITH THIS VIDEO

VERSION.

THEIR SIMPLE RESOLUTE MESSAGE,

DEMAND ANSWERS.

HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS WILL

OBVIOUSLY BE A BIG TEST FOR THE

UNITED STATES AND THE CBC'S

KEITH BOAG IS WATCHING THAT.

>> Reporter: PRESIDENT TRUMP

SAID HE WILL BE CALLING THE

SAUDI MONARCH KING SOLOMON SOON.

BUT CAUTIOUS TO JUMPING TO

CONCLUSIONS AND WHO IS

RESPONSIBLE AND WHAT

RESPONSIBILITY THE U.S. HAS TO

KHASHOGGI.

HE ELUDES TO THE FACT KHASHOGGI

IS NOT A U.S. CITIZEN AND THEN

BRIDGES TO THE ECONOMIC

RELATIONSHIP THE U.S. HAS WITH

SAUDI ARABIA.

>> President Donald Trump:

FIRST I WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT

HAPPENED.

AND WE ARE LOOKING.

AGAIN, THIS TOOK PLACE IN

TURKEY.

AND TO THE BEST OF OUR

KNOWLEDGE, KHASHOGGI IS NOT A

UNITED STATES CITIZENS, IS THAT

RIGHT?

PERMANENT RESIDENT.

OKAY.

WE DON'T LIKE IT, JOHN.

WE DON'T LIKE IT.

AND WE DON'T LIKE IT EVEN A

LITTLE BIT.

BUT AS TO WHETHER OR NOT WE

SHOULD STOP $110 BILLION FROM

BEING SPENT IN THIS COUNTRY,

KNOWING THEY HAVE FOUR OR FIVE

ALTERNATIVES, TWO VERY GOOD

ALTERNATIVES, THAT WOULD NOT BE

ACCEPTABLE TO ME.

>> Reporter: SO THAT'S NOT A

HARD LINE RESPONSE.

THAT'S A SOFT LINE RESPONSE.

BUT IT'S CONSISTENT WITH WHAT

TRUMP HAS SAID ABOUT THE MIDDLE

EAST, ON HIS WATCH HE ISN'T

GOING TO LECTURE OTHER

COUNTRIES OR TELL THEM HOW TO

LIVE.

>> Rosemary: HE GAVE THAT

MESSAGE ON HIS FIRST TRIP

OVERSEAS WHICH INCIDENTALLY WAS

TO SAUDI ARABIA AND HE WAS

TRYING TO MAKE A POINT ABOUT

THAT.

ARE THERE WORRIES HOW THIS WILL

BE INTERPRETED NOW?

>> Reporter: THE WORRY WAS

TRUMP WAS SIGNALING HUMAN

RIGHTS NOT GOING TO BE A BIG

DEAL FOR HIM.

OTHER WORLD LEADERS HAVE

SOMETIMES TAKEN SIMILAR

POSITIONS IN FOREIGN POLICY BUT

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRUMP

HOW HE SEEMS TO ADMIRE SOME OF

THE MOST AUTHORITARIAN LEADERS

IN THE WORLD.

>> Interview: DEVELOPING THESE

BUDDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH

THESE DICTATORS, IT WAS IN THE

BACK ROOM BUT NOW IN FULL VIEW.

TO TAKE ON THESE HIT JOBS

THINKING THE AMERICANS WILL

LOOK THE OTHER WAY.

>> Reporter: THE QUESTION MAY

BE, ROSY, DOES THIS INCIDENT

ONLY FURTHER ENCOURAGE THE VIEW

THAT TRUMP IS INDIFFERENT TO

HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES IN OTHER

COUNTRIES?

>> Rosemary: KEITH, THANKS FOR

THIS TONIGHT.

APPRECIATE IT.

CANADA'S PRIME MINISTER WAS

ASKED ABOUT THE KHASHOGGI

AFFAIR TODAY.

>> Prime Minister Justin

Trudeau: THIS PARTICULAR CASE

IS, OF COURSE, PARTICULAR

CONCERN AND WE JOIN WITH OUR

ALLIES AROUND THE WORLD IN

EXPRESSING SERIOUS ISSUES WITH

THESE REPORTS.

OBVIOUSLY THERE'S A LOT MORE TO

UNCOVER IN WHAT HAPPENED HERE,

SO I'M NOT GOING TO COMMENT TOO

MUCH ON THIS.

>> Rosemary: TRUDEAU REITERATED

CANADA WILL CALL FOR HUMAN

RIGHTS TO BE RESPECTED AROUND

THE WORLD INCLUDING IN SAUDI

ARABIA.

THE COMMENTS COME AS OTTAWA'S

RELATIONS WITH THE KINGDOM

THOUGH REMAIN TENSE.

THERE'S A CANADIAN ANGLE ON

THIS STORY TOO AND IT INVOLVES

A SAUDI ARABIA DISSIDENT WHO

NOW LIVES IN THIS COUNTRY AS A

PERMANENT RESIDENT.

IN FACT, WE TOLD YOU ABOUT OMAR

ABDUL AZIZ GRANTED REFUGEE

STATUS, HE SAID HIS FAMILY HAS

BEEN JAILED BECAUSE OF HIS

OUTSPOKEN VIEWS AND THE CITIZEN

LAB IN TORONTO FOUND ABDUL

AZIZ'S PHONE WAS HACKED BY

MALWARE, THE MOST LIKELY

CULPRIT CONNECTED TO THE SAUDI

REGIME.

SO HIS CONCERN HOW MANY MORE

ACTIVISTS COULD HAVE BEEN

EXPOSED TO THAT HACK?

>> Interview: I HAVE FRIENDS

FROM EVERYWHERE, THEY WERE

LISTENING TO EVERY SINGLE CALL

WE HAVE, READING OUR CHAT.

>> NOW ABDUL AZIZ IS SPEAKING

OUT ABOUT JAMAL KHASHOGGI AND

WENDY MESLEY IS HERE.

>> Reporter: OMAR SAID HE HAS

BEEN FRIENDS WITH KHASHOGGI FOR

YEARS AND KHASHOGGI CONFIRMED

THAT TO A PRODUCER HERE AT "THE

NATIONAL."

OMAR SAID HE COMMUNICATED WITH

KHASHOGGI USING THAT INFECTED

PHONE DURING THE TIME IT WAS

HACKED.

THEY TALKED CRITICALLY ABOUT

THE SAUDI REGIME AND ABOUT A

PROJECT TO COUNTER ITS ONLINE

PROPAGANDA THAT KHASHOGGI HAD

PLANS TO COME HERE AND MEET

WITH HIM IN CANADA.

HE DIDN'T WANT TO APPEAR ON

CAMERA TO TALK ABOUT THIS, BUT

WE DO HAVE SOME AUDIO FROM HIM

AND HERE IS WHAT HE SAYS.

>> AND YES, MR. KHASHOGGI,

SORRY TO SAY, HE WAS CONTACTING

ME VIA MY CELL PHONE.

THE ONE THAT WAS HACKED.

SO I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THEY

WERE LISTENING TO THE

INTERVIEWS.

THAT THEY WERE READING THE

CONVERSATIONS WE HAD.

>> Reporter: HE CONFIRMED IF

THE SAUDIS HACKED HIS PHONE

THEY WOULD HAVE HAD ACCESS TO

NOT JUST CHAT BUT EMAILS, TEXT,

FILES, THE CAMERA, EVERYTHING.

AND HE SAID OMAR AND OTHER

ACTIVISTS HAVE REASON TO BECOME

CONCERNED ABOUT THE

CONSEQUENCES OF THIS KIND OF

SPYWARE.

>> Rosemary: OKAY, AND YOU WILL

HAVE LOTS MORE ON THIS STORY ON

"THE WEEKLY" SUNDAY AT 11:00.

THANK YOU, APPRECIATE IT.

>> THANKS, ROSEMARY.

>> Ian: AHEAD ON "THE

NATIONAL", EVERYBODY IS TALKING

ABOUT KANYE BUT IS HE FAIR GAME?

>> Rosemary: PLUS WHY A WEDDING

DAY CHOICE MADE BY THE ROYAL

BRIDE MEANS THE WORLD TO A

YOUNG CANADIAN.

>> Andrew: BUT FIRST LEGAL POT

HITS THE STORES AND THE ROADS

NEXT WEEK.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WANTS TO

MAKE IT CLEAR POT AND DRIVING

DON'T MIX.

SO IT PASSED NEW IMPAIRED

DRIVING LAWS EARLIER THIS YEAR.

LAWS THAT ONE POT INVESTOR IS

LOOKING TO FIGHT.

AS CATHERINE CULLEN EXPLAINS,

IT'S NOT EASY TESTING WHO IS

TOO HIGH TO DRIVE.

>> THIS IS THE MOST ADVANCED

DRIVING SIMULATOR IN CANADA.

>> THIS TORONTO LAB IS A SAFE

PLACE TO TEST HOW DRUGS CAN

AFFECT DRIVING.

TESTING A DRIVER'S BLOOD LEVEL

ISN'T A VERY GOOD WAY TO JUDGE

IF SOMEONE SHOULD BE BEHIND THE

WHEEL.

>> UNFORTUNATELY THERE'S NOT A

CLEAR LINK BETWEEN HOW MUCH THC

IS IN THE BLOOD AND HOW MUCH A

PERSON IS IMPAIRED.

>> BUT THAT'S THE MEASURE THE

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAZEM --

HAS EMBRACED AS IT EMBRACES

LEGALIZATION.

NOT EVERYONE IS SOLD.

>> IS THIS AN ARBITRARY LINE?

WHEN THAT LINE CARRIES CRIMINAL

PENALTIES WITH IT, THAT'S AN

ISSUE.

>> CHUCK RAFICI IS WORKING, HE

FOUNDED TWEED AND OXLY AND A

FORMER TREASURE WITH THE

FEDERAL LIBERALS, THE VERY

PARTY WHOSE GOVERNMENT HE IS

NOW TRYING TO CHALLENGE.

RIFICI SAID HE HAS DEDICATED

$25,000 OF HIS OWN POT EARNINGS

TO THE CAUSE.

>> THIS LAW SHOULD CAUSE PEOPLE

GREAT CONCERN.

I THINK CANADIANS SHOULD ENJOY

CANNABIS ON THE WEEKEND AND NOT

BE WORRIED ABOUT DRIVING ON A

MONDAY MORNING.

>> THIS LEGISLATION WILL SAVE

LIVES.

>> THE GOVERNMENT IS STANDING

BY ITS APPROACH.

ASKED ABOUT THE LEGAL

CHALLENGE, JUSTICE MINISTER

RAYBOULD SAID IT COMPLIES WITH

THE CHARTER RIGHTS AND FREEDOM.

AS POT GETS READY FOR

LEGALIZATION, SOME SAY

CHALLENGES OF THE NEW IMPAIRD

DRIVING LAW ARE INEVITABLE.

>> THERE WILL BE A PERIOD WHERE

THERE WILL BE CONTESTED CASES

IN HE COURT AND WE HAVE TO WORK

THROUGH THE LEGISLATION.

>> Reporter: THERE IS A BIT OF

A TWIST, THE NEW BLOOD DRUG

CONCENTRATION LAW HAS BEEN IN

EFFECT SINCE JUNE.

SENIOR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

RECENTLY REVEALED THEY AREN'T

SURE ANYONE HAS BEEN CHARGED

UNDER IT.

THEY SAY POLICE FORCES WILL

START TO USE THE LAW BUT FOR

NOW THEY ARE STOPPING HIGH

DRIVERS THE SAME WAY THEY HAVE

FOR YEARS WITH THE LAWS THAT

ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.

CATHERINE CULLEN, CBC NEWS,

OTTAWA.

>> Andrew: PART OF THE REASON

NO ONE HAS BEEN CHARGED UNDER

THE NEW LAW MAY BE BECAUSE OF

THE DETECTION METHOD REQUIRED.

IF THE DRIVER IS BELIEVED TO BE

AT OR OVER THE LEGAL LIMIT,

POLICE OFFICERS WILL DEMAND A

ROAD SIDE SALIVA TEST.

IF RESULTS ARE POSITIVE THEY

THEN NEED TO GET A BLOOD

SAMPLE, THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE

WITHIN TWO HOURS AND REQUIRES A

THIRD PARTY LIKE A NURSE TO

ADMINISTER IT.

AND THEN BASED ON THE READINGS

HERE IS WHAT DRIVERS WOULD FACE.

A DRIVER WITH BETWEEN 2-5

NANOGRAMS OF THC PER MILLIMETER

OF BLOOD COULD FACE A MAXIMUM

FINE OF $1,000.

MORE THAN 5 NANOGRAMS JAIL TIME

BECOMES A POSSIBILITY.

AND IF YOU MIX CANNABIS WITH

ANOTHER DRUG, SAY ALCOHOL, THE

PENALTIES COULD BE EVEN STEEPER.

MINIMUM $1,000 FINE, JAIL TIME

AND IF YOU INJURE OR KILL

SOMEONE YOU COULD LOOK AT

MAXIMUMS OF TEN YEARS AND LIFE

IN PRISON.

>> Ian: ANOTHER LAVISH WEDDING

PLAYED OUT PRINCESS EUGENIE

MARRIED JACK BROOKSBANK.

PART-TIME ROYAL WITH NO

OFFICIAL PUBLIC ROLE.

AS THOMAS DAIGLE REPORTS THEY

WONDER WHY TAX PAYERS ARE

FOOTING PART OF THE BILL.

>> Reporter: DEJA VU IN THE

STREETS OF WINDSOR.

ROYAL FANS GETTING UP EXTRA

EARLY TO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE

LATEST NEWLYWEDS.

>> EVERY DETAIL IS INCREDIBLY

EXCITING.

>> THIS TIME THE WIND MADE

WEDDING FASHION TRICKY.

EXCEPT FOR THE MOST SENIOR

ROYAL WHO ARRIVED WITH HER

97-YEAR-OLD HUSBAND PRINCE

PHILIP IN TOW, THEN QUEUE THE

BRIDE.

SHOWING UP TO HER BIG DAY WITH

HER FATHER, PRINCE ANDREW.

PRINCESS EUGENIE, TRADING HER

DISTINCTIVE HEAD WEAR FOR THE

QUEEN'S TIARA.

THE ROYALS SET ASIDE

DIFFERENCES LETTING THE BRIDE'S

MOTHER IN GREEN SARAH FERGUSON

SIT UP FRONT DESPITE A LONG

STANDING RIFT WITH THE FAMILY.

THE GROOM WON'T GET A ROYAL

TITLE.

THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE $3.5

MILLION CONTROVERSY.

THAT COST 2 MILLION BRITISH

POUNDS IS TO COVER SECURITY THE

FAMILY PAID FOR THE CEREMONY.

ANTI MONARCHY CAMPAIGNERS

SUBMITTED A PETITION TO

PARLIAMENT WITH SIGNATURES

SAYING NO TAX PAYER FUNDING THE

EVENT.

>> THEY SHOULDN'T BE RELYING ON

THE TAX PAYER FOR HER DREAM

WEDNESDAY JOOXGT THE CARRIAGE

RIDE THROUGH TOWN INCREASED

SECURITY COSTS FOR THE

GOVERNMENT.

>> I THINK EUGENIE HERSELF A

ROYAL PROCESS BUT ANDREW

THOUGHT IT WAS VERY, VERY

IMPORTANT.

>> SHE MAY BE 9th IN LINE TO

THE THRONE BUT THE ONE DAY THE

SPOTLIGHT WAS SQUARELY ON

EUGENIE AND JACK.

THOMAS DAIGLE, CBC NEWS,

WINDSOR ENGLAND.

>> Ian: BIG MOMENT OF ANY

WEDDING AND ESPECIALLY A ROYAL

WEDDING IS WHEN THE DRESS IS

REVEALED BUT PAYING ATTENTION

TO WHAT IT REVEALED.

THIS IS THE SCAR ON EUGENIE'S

SPINE FROM SCOLIOSIS SURGERY AS

A CHILD.

WHY SHE WANTED TO SHOW IT OFF.

>> I THINK YOU CAN SHOW PEOPLE

YOUR SCARS AND I THINK IT'S

SPECIAL TO DO THAT.

>> SHE REVEALED X-RAYS FROM THE

TIME SHE WAS TREATED AS A

CHILD, A CONDITION THAT CAUSES

THE SPINE TO BEND TO ONE SIDE

MAKING THE BACK APPEAR ROUNDED.

>> WHEN I WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED

IT WAS EXTREMELY OVERWHELMING.

I DIDN'T KNOW ANYBODY ELSE WITH

THIS CONDITION.

SO I REALLY FELT ALONE AND

ISOLATED.

>> THE DECISION TO DISPLAY HER

SCAR SO PROMINENTLY ON SUCH AN

IMPORTANT DAY HAS DRAWN PRAISE

FROM MANY YOUNG PEOPLE.

>> IT WAS AMAZING TO SEE

SOMEBODY WHO IS SO INFLUENTIAL

WITHIN SOCIETY JUST REALLY

OWNING HER SCOLIOSIS,

SHOWCASING HER SCAR EMBEDDING

IT INTO THE STORY OF HER

WEDDING WAS MEANINGFUL.

>> SHE HOPED SHOWING HER SCAR

WOULD HONOUR THOSE WHO HELPED

HER AND INSPIRE OTHERS WITH

SCOLIOSIS.

AND FROM KANYE TO TAYLOR SWIFT.

>> Andrew: AND THE FASTEST MAN

IN THE WORLD MOVES FROM THE

TRACK TO THE PITCH.

USAIN BOLT'S IS OUR MOMENT.

>> Rosemary: NEW PUSH FOR

DIVERSITY ON STAGE.

>> GAY MEN HAVE BEEN BANNED AT

OPERA FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS BUT

SADLY THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY BIG

CHARACTERS WHO ARE GAY ON THE

STAGE.

THAT'S RIDICULOUS.

>> Rosemary: WITH RECENT

BLOCKBUSTERS LIKE "S CRAZY RICH

ASIANS" AND BLACKISH RETURNING

FOR A FIFTH SEASON IT'S CLEAR

IT'S BEGINNING TO CATCH ON.

AUDIENCES ARE HUNGRY FOR MORE

INCLUSIVE AND DIVERSE STORIES.

>> FROM NOW ON WE WILL BE

BLACKOUT LOUD.

NOW IT SEEMS THE MORE

TRADITIONAL WORLD OF OPERA IS

TOO.

"HADRIAN" IS BY RUFUS

WAINWRIGHT.

THE WORLD PREMIERE IS TOMORROW,

BUT AS DEANA SUMANAC-JOHNSON

EXPLAINS, IT'S ALREADY TURNING

HEADS.

[*]

>> FORBIDDEN LOVE STORY,

BETRAYAL AND SEX.

"HADRIAN" HAS ALL THE

INGREDIENTS OF A CLASSIC OPERA,

WITH ONE DIFFERENCE.

THE RELATIONSHIP IN QUESTION IS

BETWEEN TWO MEN, HADRIAN AND A

GREEK SOME BELIEVE WAS HIS TRUE

LOVE.

>> I'M A GAY MAN AND GAY MAN

HAS BEEN BANNED AT THE OPERA

FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS BUT SADLY

THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY BIG

CHARACTERS WHO ARE GAY ON THE

STAGE.

SO I FELT IT NECESSARY TO KIND

OF GIVE BACK TO THIS FORUM THAT

I LOVE SO MUCH.

>> RUFUS WAINWRIGHT'S PROJECT

IS EXAMPLE OF OPERA RECENT

EXPLORATION OF SAME-SEX

RELATIONSHIPS.

BACKED BY THE BIGGEST OPERA

COMPANY IN CANADA AND WITH A

POP STAR IN TALENT IT'S BOUND

TO ATTRACT GREATER ATTENTION

AND WHILE NEARLY NUDE BODIES

AND SEX SCENE BETWEEN TWO MEN

MAY ALIENATE TRADITIONAL OPERA

GOERS, IT MAY BRING IN NEW

AUDIENCE.

THIS YOUNG OPERA FANCIES ABOUT

40 OPERAS A YEAR BUT AS A GAY

MAN HE IS ONLY NOW SEEING

HIMSELF REPRESENTED ON THE

STAGE.

IF YOU WANT DIVERSE AUDIENCES

IN YOUR THEATRE YOU NEED TO

SHOW DIVERSITY ON STAGE.

I THINK RUFUS IS SHOWING THIS

QUEERNESS IN OPERA AND HELPS

IDENTIFIED WITH THE QUEERNESS

IN TORONTO.

>> NOT JUST GAY COMPOSERS

GETTING A CHANCE TO TELL THEIR

STORY IN OPERATIC FORM.

THEY COMMISSIONED TWO NEW

OPERAS WRITTEN BY WOMEN.

>> I'M PROUD OF THESE TWO

COMMISSIONS BY WOMEN COMPOSERS

BUT THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

WE NEED TO BE REPRESENTATIVE OF

THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY,

THE LATIN AMERICAN COMMUNITY.

>> NOT ALL THOSE NEW STORIES

CARRY THE POTENTIAL TO SHOCK

OPERA AUDIENCES, RUFUS

WAINWRIGHT DOESN'T THINK HIS

WILL EITHER.

>> THE ROMANTICISM, PAGEANTRY,

I THINK MANY ARE SOPHISTICATED.

I DON'T THINK THEY WILL BE AS

FAZED AS MANY WOULD THINK.

THE LATEST OPERA AS IT FIGHTS

FOR SURVIVAL.

>> Rosemary: TO GIVE AN IDEA OF

IMPACT IT COULD HAVE, A RACY

FILM RELEASED IS TOUCHING A

NERVE.

>> "THE HATE YOU GIVE" TELLS

THE STORY OF STARR CARTER.

CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, ONE

OF HER UPPER CLASS SCHOOL AND

HER NEIGHBOURHOOD.

IT DOESN'T SHY AWAY FROM RACIAL

PROFILING.

BASED ON A BOOK THAT'S BEEN 84

WEEKS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST.

>> IT AFFECTED ME SO MUCH

BECAUSE, I MEAN, THIS IS KIND

OF HEAVY, BUT I HAVE DEALT WITH

THIS.

MY FAMILY, YOU KNOW, WE HAVE

LOST PEOPLE TO GUN VIOLENCE AND

IT'S A HEAVY TOPIC, OBVIOUSLY.

AND NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO

THROUGH LOSING THEIR SON, THEIR

FATHERS, THEIR GRANDFATHERS,

THEIR BROTHERS, EVEN THEIR

SISTERS.

NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO SEE THEIR

LAST MOMENTS HAVING TO SEE A

GUN POINT AT THEIR FACE AS

THEIR LAST MOMENT.

>> WE HAVE TO BE TAUGHT --

JUST BECAUSE THE COLOUR OF OUR

SKIN AS A WEAPON, WITH OTHER

PEOPLE YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY.

>> I'M SO PROUD THEY FINALLY

PUT OUT MOVIES AND SHOW YOU

KNOW THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING ON.

IT'S NOT A FAIRYTALE, THIS IS

THE STUFF THAT GOES ON IN

EVERYBODY'S LIFE IN DIFFERENT

WAYS.

>> ANGIE, THE AUTHOR OF THIS,

RIGHT?

SHE LOOKS LIKE YOU.

SHE LIVED THIS LIFE.

SHE WROTE THE BOOK.

MANY OF THIS GETS BACK TO HER,

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL HER?

>> THANK YOU FOR BEING REAL.

>> THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US THE

OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY, NOT

JUST WHAT THE NEWS WANTS US TO

HEAR.

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US THAT

THERE'S A REASON WHY BEHIND

PEOPLE DRUG DEAL OR WHY THEY

WERE OUT THAT NIGHT.

THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US THAT

THE BLACK MAN ISN'T ALWAYS THE

CRIMINAL.

>> Ian: STILL AHEAD ON "THE

NATIONAL", KANYE TRUMP AND

TAYLOR.

A WEEK IN POP CULTURE AND

POLITICS.

WE WILL BRI

>> REMEMBER WHEN KANYE PULLED

HIS, I'M ALREADY FINISHED

TAYLOR, THAT'S THE GOAL AT THE

MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS.

>> KANYE WEST AND TAYLOR SWIFT

ARE BACK IN THE NEWS AGAIN,

THIS TIME IT'S NOT ABOUT AN

AWARD SHOW OR SHADY LYRIQ.

TAYLOR SWIFT TOOK TO INSTAGRAM.

ENDORSED TWO DEMOCRATIC

CANDIDATES IN TENNESSEE AND

JUST YET KANYE MET WITH

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP WHILE

WEARING A "MAKE AMERICA GREAT

AGAIN" HAT.

IF YOU WOULD TELL ME TAYLOR

SWIFT WOULD BE THE LIBERAL

SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR AND

KANYE WEST WOULD BE TRUMPING

LITERALLY FOR REPUBLICAN

PRESIDENT I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT

YOU ARE CRAZY, BUT HERE YOU ARE.

>> I'M STEPHEN MARCHE, RANDOM

TORONTO WRITE JEER.

TAYLOR SWIFT HAS NEVER TRIED TO

USE HER POLITICS IN HER ART OR

MAKE HER POLITICS AN AESTHETIC

ACT.

I THINK WE ARE STARTING TO

REALIZE NOW ABOUT TWO YEARS IN

THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION WITH

THE ANTICS OF PEOPLE LIKE KANYE

HOW HEALTHY AND EVEN NECESSARY

THAT IS.

>> WHY ARE WE EVEN LISTENING TO

CELEBRITIES WHEN IT COMES TO

NEWS AND POLITICS?

>> THIS IS CULTURE AT ITS PEAK.

>> Ian: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE

TOPIC 24 HOURS AFTER KANYE WEST

WAS IN THE WHITE HOUSE RANTING,

TWEETING LIVE.

>> I LOVE HILLARY, I LOVE

EVERYONE, RIGHT.

BUT THE CAMPAIGN "I'M WITH HER"

DIDN'T MAKE ME FEEL AS A GUY

WHO DIDN'T GET TO SEE MY DAD

ALL THE TIME LIKE A GUY THAT

COULD PLAY CATCH WITH HIS SON,

THERE WAS SOMETHING WHEN I PUT

THIS HAT ON MADE ME FEEL LIKE

SUPERMAN.

>> LET'S START WITH YOU, WHAT

CAN WE MAKE OF THAT?

>> I HAVE GONE FROM BEING SAD

FOR HIM, TO MAD AT HIM, TO

FEELING INDIFFERENT.

AND I ALMOST FEEL LIKE THE

COCKTAIL OF THE KARDASHIANS AND

THE TRUMP REALITY SHOW HAS HIM

SO FAR IN A SUNKEN PLACE, I

FEEL LIKE HE IS A MISSED

OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE HE SAY

MUSICAL GENIUS AND HE HAS THIS

PLATFORM BUT HE IS WASTING IT.

BUT ALSO NORMALIZING THE FACT

YOU COULD SAY THINGS AND EXPECT

IT TO BE BELIEF.

>> IT'S AWFUL AND WE NEED TO

STOP THERE.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE NORMAL.

WE SHOULD NOT HAVE A HIP HOP

ARTIST BEING INVITED TO THE

WHITE HOUSE AND SPEAK HE HAS NO

QUALIFICATIONS.

>> THE PRESIDENT HAS NO

QUALIFICATIONS.

>> GREAT POINT.

>> WHEN PEOPLE ARE MAD ABOUT

THE FACT A CELEBRITY ALBEIT

KANYE ON ONE SIDE OR TAYLOR

SWIFT IS TALKING ABOUT

POLITICS, THE PRESIDENT IS A

CELEBRITY, CELEBRITY CULTURE

GOT HIM THERE.

>> Ian: EVEN IN OUR EDITORIAL

MEETING SOME WERE SAYING IT'S

NOT REALLY FAIR TO SHOW TEN

MINUTES OF KANYE ON THE NEWS

CHANNELS BECAUSE CLEARLY THIS

IS A GUY HAVING DIFFICULTY, HE

TALKED BEING OFF HIS MEDS.

IS IT FAIR?

>> THE MEDIA VASTLY OVER RATES

IT'S POWER ALL THE TIME ANYWAY.

>> Ian: I DON'T THINK YOU CAN

SAY THAT HERE.

[Laughter]

>> THE CART HAS GONE BEFORE THE

HORSE HERE.

WHAT'S HAPPENING HERE IS THE

SOCIAL MEDIA PHENOMENON THAT

HAS NOTHING WITH WHAT THE "NEW

YORK TIMES" OR CBC OR

LEGITIMATE NEWS ORGANIZATIONS

ARE DOING.

THIS IS ALL OUT THERE IN THE

WORLD OF TOTAL IMAGE.

THAT'S THE WORLD TRUMP INHABITS

AND KANYE INHABITS AND IT'S OUR

WORLD.

>> Ian: DONNOVAN, YOU TALKED

ABOUT THE VARIOUS EMOTIONS, ONE

WAS ANGRY.

ANGRY AT KANYE.

ABOUT WHAT?

>> WELL, FIRST OF ALL, AS A

MINORITY, AS A BLACK MAN WE

DON'T OFTEN HAVE THAT PLATFORM

AND HE COULD BE SPEAKING TO

REAL ISSUE THAT'S IMPACT HIS

COMMUNITY AND HE WASN'T, HE WAS

TALKING ABOUT HYDROGEN PLANES

AND THE PRESIDENT NEEDS TO BE

FLY.

THE OTHER PART I'M ANGRY ABOUT

ON THE FLIP SIDE, THE PRESIDENT

ENTERTAINING THIS AT A TIME

WHEN PEOPLE IN FLORIDA ARE

STRUGGLING.

PEOPLE IN GEORGIA ARE

STRUGGLING.

AND SADLY, THE PLIGHT OF OTHER

NORMAL PEOPLE AT TIMES FALLS ON

DEAF EARS.

>> Ian: WEIRDLY, KANYE WEST AND

TAYLOR SWIFT HAVE BEEN LINKED

FOR YEARS, DATING BACK IN 2009,

YOU MAY REMEMBER THIS MOMENT.

>> I'M REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU,

I'M GOING TO LET YOU FINISH,

BUT BEYONCE HAD ONE OF THE BEST

VIDEOS OF ALL TIME!

>> Ian: THAT WAS KANYE AT THE

MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS, GOING

UP THERE AND INTERRUPTING WHAT

SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAYLOR SWIFT'S

MOMENT IN THE SUN.

THOUGH SHE HAS HAD MANY MOMENTS

SINCE THEN.

SHE IS BACK IN THE NEWS.

SUNDAY SHE POSTED ON INSTAGRAM

THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE

REGISTERING TO VOTE AND ALSO

SHE WAS TOUTING TWO DEMOCRATIC

CANDIDATES FOR THE SENATE IN

TENNESSEE AND A LOT OF PEOPLE

WONDERING IS IT APPROPRIATE FOR

HER TO BE WADING INTO THE

POLITICAL WATERS?

IS IT MAYBE TOO LATE FOR HER TO

DO IT?

SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE IT BEFORE.

>> I KNOW WE HAVE A TAYLOR

SWIFT FAN IN THE HOUSE, AND I

AM NOT.

I AT FIRST THOUGHT I WAS GOING

TO COME IN HERE AND SAY SHE WAS

WAY LATE ON THIS.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF SHE

HAD DONE THIS IN 2016?

WE WOULD HAVE BEEN HAVING A

COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

CONVERSATION.

BUT WITH KANYE ON THE OTHER

SIDE, I THINK TAYLOR'S EXAMPLE

ADVOCATING FOR SOMETHING YOU

BELIEVE IN AND VOICING YOUR

OPINION AND THAT IS HER RIGHT.

WHERE SHE IS DIFFERENT THAN

KANYE SHE ISN'T TAUGHTING TO BE

AN EXPERT, SHE ISN'T SAYING I

KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS,

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BELIEVE.

SHE IS ADVOCATING FOR PEOPLE TO

MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS AND

VOTE.

>> SHE IS A GREAT SINGER

SONGWRITER.

LEGITIMATE.

>> Ian: I FEEL THAT WAY TOO,

YOU AREN'T LAUGHING AT US, ARE

YOU?

>> NO, NO, NOT AT ALL.

THIS IS THE DEMO, I'M LEARNING.

>> Ian: THIS ISN'T THE DEMO.

WHAT DID YOU THINK ABOUT SUNDAY?

>> TAYLOR HAS ALWAYS REMOVED

HERSELF FROM POLITICS, HER

SONGS ARE ALL LOVE SONGS ABOUT

BEING A TORTURED 20-YEAR-OLD

WITH LOTS OF MONEY.

SHE HASN'T PARTICIPATED IN THE

WAY POP STARS HAVE.

BUT IN 2018, THEY ARE LOSING

THEIR DEMOCRACY NOW AND THE

TIME HAS COME FOR PEOPLE TO

MAKE THEIR POLITICS CLEAR, YOU

CAN'T REALLY AVOID IT.

I ACTUALLY THINK SHE IS A MODEL

FOR HOW THIS WORKS.

KANYE HAS A GENIUS TAYLOR SWIFT

WILL NEVER HAVE, HE INHABITS

THE MOMENT OF HIS TIME IN AN

ICONIC WAY, BUT THAT'S ALSO

TERRIBLE, BECAUSE THE TIME IS

SO BRUTAL AND DEHUMANIZING.

WHERE SHE IS TRYING TO FIND

SOME SORT OF BALANCE AND I HAVE

A LOT OF RESPECT FOR THAT.

>> Ian: OKAY.

LET'S COMPLETELY CHANGE TOPICS

NOW.

AND THIS IS A COMPLICATED ONE.

ANCESTRY DNA LINKING UP WITH

SPOTIFY, THE STREAMING MUSIC

SERVICE AND NOW WHAT YOU CAN DO

IS GO TO THEIR WEBSITE AND YOU

CAN GET A STREAM THAT IS

COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR GENETIC

BACKGROUND.

STEPHEN, YOUR GENETIC

BACKGROUND IS NORTHERN ITALY?

>> AND SCOTLAND.

PLAY LIST OF ALL TIME.

BANDS AND -- MUSIC IS WHAT IT

WOULD BE.

COME ON, DIDN'T WE MOVE TO A

NEW COUNTRY IN ORDER TO HAVE

ACCESS TO THE FRUITS OF THE

WORLD AND THE CULTURAL FRUITS

OF THE WORLD?

I JUST CANNOT IMAGINE WHY THIS

WOULD BE TASTEFUL TO PEOPLE.

>> Ian: THERE'S THAT AD PEOPLE

DON'T REALIZE THEY LOVE POLISH

FOOD UNTIL THEY REALIZE THEIR

ANCESTRY IS RELATED TO POLAND.

THIS IS THE MUSIC EQUIVALENT OF

THAT.

>> I DON'T LIKE IT.

THIS IS A WAY FOR PEOPLE TO NOT

ONLY READ ABOUT THEIR CULTURE

AND HAVE THAT DATA BUT ALSO

EXPERIENCE THEIR CULTURE.

I THINK THAT IDEA ENCAPSULATED

THE IDEA.

IF PEOPLE TAKE THIS TEST THEY

THINK THEY ARE PART OF THE

CULTURE BECAUSE THEIR GENETICS

LINK THEM, BUT IT'S A CULTURE

YOU WERE PREVIOUSLY NOT PART OF.

IF I'M ALL THE SUDDEN 2%

CHINESE THAT DOESN'T MAKE ME

CHINESE CANADIAN.

CONFLATING THE TWO IS DANGEROUS.

>> Ian: YOUR VIEW DONNOVAN?

>> MY WIFE AND I JOKED THAT'S

BETTER IN A BEDROOM THAN A

BOARD ROOM.

WHERE IS THIS NICHE FOR IT THAT

PEOPLE NEED IT?

A.I. IS SUPPOSED TO MAKE IT

BETTER FOR YOU SPECIFICALLY

BECAUSE WE UNDERSTAND YOUR

TASTES, YOUR LIKES.

>> Ian: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.

ALGORITHMS.

>> YEAH, SO FOR ME I WANT THIS

CURATED TO ME, NOT MY ANCESTRY,

IF IT'S WEST INDIAN, MY WIFE

FROM WHAT I CAN TELL IS WEST

HAMILTON, SHE LISTENS TO MORE

REGGAE MUSIC THAN I DO, SO I'M

NOT SURE THIS IS OF INTEREST TO

ANYONE.

>> Ian: I PLUGGED MINE IN AND

DIDN'T HAVE A SINGLE ABBA SONG.

IT DIDN'T REFLECT WHAT I LIKED.

WE HAVE 30 SECONDS FOR EACH OF

YOU FOR YOUR POD TAKE, YOUR

SUGGESTION OF WHAT PEOPLE

SHOULD WATCH, OR STEPHEN, WHAT

THEY SHOULD --

>> I'M THE ONLY PERSON YOU WILL

HEAR THIS FROM, BUT "A STAR IS

MALE COUNTERPART.

SHE IS OPPRESSED AND I WOULD

LIKE THAT TO CHANGE BECAUSE

THERE ARE SO MANY MUSLIM WOMEN

IN CANADA WHO ARE DOING

INCREDIBLE THINGS WHO NEED A

SPOTLIGHT ON THEMSELVES.

I BEGAN THE SISTERS PROJECT A

YEAR AND A HALF AGO WANTING TO

SHOW THE DIVERSITY OF WHO

MUSLIM WOMEN ARE, ACTUALLY

GOING ACROSS CANADA TO 12

DIFFERENT CITIES.

I NOTICED THERE ARE SO MANY

INTERPRETATIONS OF WHAT A

MUSLIM WOMAN CAN BE.

SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS SHE CAN

EXPRESS HERSELF THAT SHE CAN

INTERPRET HER FAITH, SHE CAN GO

ABOUT LIVING HER LIFE AND THERE

ARE SO MANY SHADES OF THIS

IDENTITY AND THERE'S NO WAY TO

PINPOINT A KIND OF MUSLIM WOMAN.

SHORTLY AFTER 9/11 I MOVED HERE

AND MOVED TO A VERY PRIVILEGED

NEIGHBOURHOOD IN NORTH

VANCOUVER WHERE I WASN'T

SURROUNDED BY OTHER MUSLIM

WOMAN.

THAT EXPERIENCE MADE ME GO FROM

BEING SO PROUD AND SO EXCITED

TO TALK ABOUT MY RELIGION AND

MY FAITH, AS I DID WHEN I WAS

IN EGYPT, TO CLOSING DOWN AND

BEING MORE RESERVED ABOUT WHAT

I WAS SHARING WITH PEOPLE.

BECAUSE SOME OF THE COMMENTS I

GOT RIGHT AWAY AFTER MOVING

MADE ME FEEL LIKE MY BACKGROUND

WASN'T OKAY TO SHARE BECAUSE I

WAS AUTOMATICALLY BEING JUDGED.

SO THAT LEFT ME GROWING UP

FEELING LIKE THAT WAS SOMETHING

I NEED TO HIDE ABOUT MYSELF.

I THINK ON A SUBCONSCIOUS

LEVEL, I MUST HAVE NOTICED THE

INVISIBILITY OF MUSLIM WOMEN

AND NOTICED HOW MUCH THAT HURT

OR THAT WAS SAD.

SO, YEAH, I THINK IT MAKES

SENSE THAT NOW, I'M DOING MY

BEST TO COUNTER ALL OF THOSE

FEELINGS I FELT WHEN I WAS

YOUNGER.

I WAS SO EXCITED ABOUT THE

PROSPECT OF DEVELOPING

SISTERHOOD AMONGST MUSLIM WOMEN.

IT WAS SOMETHING I DIDN'T HAVE

THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO WHEN I

WAS GROWING UP IN VANCOUVER.

AND IT WAS SOMETHING I YEARNED

FOR VERY DEEPLY.

>> AS MUSLIM WOMEN WE KIND OF

FACE THIS PRESSURE BOTH FROM

INSIDE OUR COMMUNITY AND THE

OUTSIDE TO PERFORM IN A CERTAIN

WAY, THERE'S ALWAYS A PICTURE

WOMAN LOOKS LIKE AND WHAT SHE

IS SUPPOSED TO ACT LIKE.

WE HAVE TO FACE CONSTANTLY

BATTLE THIS IDEA WE ARE

PERPETUAL VICTIMS, RIGHT?

WE CAN NEVER BE CAREGIVERS,

FAMILY MEMBERS AND CONTRIBUTORS

TO SOCIETY WHEN THAT IMAGE OF

THE VICTIM TAKES AWAY FROM ALL

OF THE OTHER THINGS THAT WE DO.

>> AS I ENCOUNTERED EVERY TYPE

OF MUSLIM WOMEN ON THE

WOMEN WHO WEAR THE VEIL, WOMEN

WHO DON'T WEAR THE VILLE,

THE COMMON SPREAD BETWEEN THE

MUSLIM WOMEN I HAVE PROFILED IN

MY PROJECT, WE ALL CARE ABOUT

CHANGING THE STEREO TYPICAL

IMAGE OF MUSLIM WOMEN AND WE

ALL CHOOSE TO GO ABOUT DOING

THAT IN OUR OWN WAYS.

I'M EXCITED BY THE FACT THESE

WOMEN HAVE TAUGHT ME THERE ARE

MANY DIFFERENT WAYS TO EMBRACE

FAITH.

NONE ARE WRONG, NONE ARE RIGHT,

THEY ARE JUST INDIVIDUAL

PREFERENCES AND I THINK THAT'S

BEAUTIFUL TO FIND YOUR OWN

SPACE WITHIN THE SPECTRUM OF

WHO MUSLIM WOMEN ARE IN THIS

COUNTRY AND IN THIS WORLD.

Prince Andrew is the ultimate proud dad at Princess Eugenie's royal wedding - Duration: 1:40.

Prince Andrew has shared a gushing tribute to his daughter Princess Eugenie ahead of her royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank

The father-of-the-bride is clearly feeling very proud of his daughter on her big day, telling ITV that the wedding would rival Harry and Meghan's big day in May, which took place in the exact same location of St George's Chapel

Speaking about the star-studded guest list, Andrew gushed, "There are a few more [guests] than Harry had, but that's just the nature of Eugenie and Jack, they've got so many friends that they need a church of that size to fit them all in

"Watch the full interview above! The reference to Harry's wedding was light hearted, however there's definitely potential for Andrew to wish for his daughter's wedding to outshine her cousin Harry's given his long running rumoured rift with his older brother Prince Charles, 69

Growing up, the siblings 12-year age gap meant they were never particularly close

And as the years went by, royal insiders believe Prince Andrew grew more and more jealous of the privileges bestowed upon his older brother, aka the direct heir to the throne, and his two sons

During the ITV interview, Andrew also spoke about being left in the dark for the majority of Eugenie's wedding preparations, but he didn't seem too fazed

"I have not been a party to anything. I'm not allowed to do anything," he said. He also talked about the hyped-up wedding dress, which he believes might be an issue as he walks his daughter up the aisle!"I'm led to believe that the train is quite wide, so I've got to walk on the left of the carpet," he said

Prince Andrew also gushed about his daughter's new husband, saying he believed Jack was an "extraordinary man"

As for his daughter? Andrew was the picture of proud father: "Shes a chip off the old block she's a little like her father," he said

The father of the bride was keen to cause some hype around his daughters wedding

Last month, he worked behind-the-scenes to get one of the British channels to pick up the rights to his daughter's big day after the BBC reportedly rejected it over fears it would be a ratings flop

Demi Moore Makes Her Instagram Debut Just in Time to Attend the Royal Wedding - Duration: 2:34.

Demi Moore has officially made her Instagram debut in the most stylish way possible

The actress, 55, shared the very-first video to her Instagram on Friday — just a few hours after making a surprise appearance at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding

The star used her first ever post to thank her glam team and Stella McCartney for making her feel like royalty

"Stella, this is for you," Moore began the video, referencing the British designer of her maroon dress

"I'm just back from the wedding… I just have to say thank you so much. I felt so beautiful, so comfortable

I felt like a princess today. Thank you, thank you to your whole team. You guys were amazing

"  Moore — who explained in the caption that her post was in "honor of my 3 beautiful daughters" who were "desperate for me to get into the InstaSwing" — went on to show appreciation for the designers behind her matching shoes, fascinator, and silk clutch

"Philip Treacy, you're genius. This hat… we need to get my incredible shoes too," she said as she focused the camera angle downwards

"Look at that! Ugh, so sexy. Beautiful, Malone. Thank you, thank you and thank you

"  "Oh, and don't forget the one last thing!" she continued, as she ran towards the front of her hotel room

"My Demi! My Demi bag!"  Moore ended the video with a simple gesture — blowing a kiss to the camera

Since making her Instagram debut, Moore has accumulated more than 32,600 followers

Her youngest daughter, Tallulah, 24, also gave her a warm welcome to the social media platform by resharing her video and expressing excitement that her "queen mother" finally gave in

"SCREAMING THAT MY QUEEN MOTHER HAS FINALLY CAVED AND GONE VIRAL," she wrote on Instagram

"Welcome. We are so happy to have you"  Moore also shares daughters Rumer, 30, and Scout, 27 with ex-husband Bruce Willis

Earlier in the day, the Ghost actress surprised fans when was seen arriving at Windsor Castle with royal and celebrity florist Eric Buterbaugh ahead of the Royal Wedding ceremony

Moore is a longtime friend of Eugenie's parents, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew

She even attended a birthday celebration for Princess Beatrice in the past.  Eugenie and Jack exchanged vows at St

George's Chapel on Friday — the same venue where the princess' cousin Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle in May

The service was attended by close family and friends, including the bride's royal grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, cousins Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds went on a romantic carriage ride through the streets of Windsor, before joining their 800 guests for a luncheon reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth

Old friends and broken bones - Sailing A B Sea (Ep.038) - Duration: 25:04.

Oh I dunno, I was entertained by that. Hang on we haven't got a fuel tank. I was grossed out by it. Who's rowing today?

Elaine. Show her. There's no fuel tank look. Strap the fuel tank down and leave it in there.

It's day 2 in Kefalonia and Mike who's been here before tells us that just over there

there's a place where you can get - is it called the gyro? - a gyro is actually like

a kebab but it's also got chips in there french fries so a kebab with french

fries in it and we've decided that we're just going to go there and and have a

few or at least one with beers.

You right there girls? Yeah yeah Does somebody want to take this? Not really. Lol.

The kebab shop. Well that sucks doesn't open till three. It's just coming

up to two o'clock, they're not open till three o'clock

we've got Pete coming at 5:00 and we need to have a nanna nap so we're gonna

find somewhere else.

This place is open and it's got what we want

I take you to all the best places. You do.

Refueling here on the island of Kefalonia in Argostoli is a little bit

different from other places. You need to call this guy and get him to bring his

truck to you where you're tied up and he will refill your fuel tank.

We've had one or two questions from our viewers about who exactly Mike and Elaine are and I

must admit looking back over the footage I did not really explain properly

who they are nor introduce them properly. Thirty years ago when I was working as a

DJ on the Spanish Canary Island of Tenerife, Mike was also working out there

too and we met each other and got along quite well and we've kept in touch ever

since. Now Mike is a 20 year offshore yacht-master veteran so when we decided

to cross the Mediterranean we thought we'd better have some help so I called

in Mike and of course he brought along his fiancee Elaine who has an awful lot

of sailing experience herself So between those two and us two we managed to get

here to Kefalonia. And while we were here in Kefalonia I also met up with another

DJ from Tenerife from 30 years ago - Pete Forsythe and his lovely new wife Sheylagh

my wife. There's more of me

Here you are Pete, you're on candid camera!

We're on board. We've made it. Do you want me to take the camera? Yeah.

Anyway what can we get you to drink? Beer, wine red or white. Yes please all of the above.

Well yammas everybody, happy memories although mine are

pretty faded by now. I don't think they fade they just... you lock 'em away ...get fuzzzy

around the edges. Well I didn't realize it was gonna take about 14 days to get here. I

figured on something between eight and twelve. It would have been if you hadn't

stopped. Yeah but you've got to stop. I was just writing my blog today - it's about the

trip and the hours and I was looking back the thinking, we did we did 23 hours

then we stopped for six then we did another 43 hours then we stopped for

another eight hours. Yeah. Boom boom boom. It's lovely to meet you. And you.

We'll see you soon. Definitely. Down again Pete, down there

Monday September 29th I believe it is and today is the day that we were doing

the radio interview on Cosmos FM in Kefalonia in Greece. It was meant to be

Aannsha and I doing the interview with Peter Lee but Aannsha had a little bit of a

fall yesterday and we spent the morning in the accident and emergency department

of the hospital. She's had an x-ray, it doesn't look good

She's waiting to see a doctor but I've got to go and meet Peter for this radio

interview so it's just me being interviewed basically it's what I'm

trying to get across here. Mind's all over the place because I'm running out of

time. All right so I'm going to put this camera away in the dry bag I'm gonna get

in the dinghy and I'm gonna go ashore and find the radio station

I'm actually in accident and emergency in Kefalonia hospital and they've been really good

and there was a little wait but no longer than you'd expect in any hospital

My ankle gave way when I was on some uneven pavement yesterday and turns out

I fractured my wrist so clever me. Baz had to go to a radio

interview so he couldn't stay with me so I'm kind of here on my own - gonna walk

back to the dinghy and wait for him to finish the interview and commiserate

maybe with a coffee while I'm waiting. Apparently I've got to keep it on for

four to six weeks but it's gonna be easy to take off because it's just a bandage

and a splint.

Okay well I'm going for some coffee.

Right we have with us in the studio Barry

Noble who is on a yacht at the moment well he's in the studio at the

moment but he's on a yacht staying in Kefalonia harbour and he's Barry and

Aannsha together and it's described in their Facebook and information on their

web page as two wet gray nomads, a retired couple setting out on a big

adventure as they left Australia to go to Europe and begin a new chapter of

life sailing the seas. Good afternoon to you Barry. Hi Peter thanks for having me on

that's a pleasure. Now tell me a little bit more about this trip what inspired

you to start a yachting trip. We became empty nesters in effect. Both Aannsha and I

traveled extensively and worked in lots of countries throughout our early lives and

then when I settled down in Australia and we got pregnant we decided we'd stay in

one place for the benefit of our son so you know one schooling, one set of

friends, one house etc and then he turned 19, decided he'd had enough of small-town

Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland and he wanted the big bright

lights of Brisbane so he and four of his mates got a rental house down there

which basically left Aannsha and I sitting in the house going well okay what are we

gonna do? So I came up with a crazy idea of cashing everything in and buying a

yacht even though we didn't know anything at all about sailing. So it's a

big step really. Oh huge. You know I mean you're leaving your home country with no

no bolt hole to go back into, you sold everything and you've bought this yacht.

What type of yacht? It's a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.1 so she's 46

foot long and she is 23 years old. Wow so it sounds like a nice - I know I haven't

seen it but sounds like a nice boat from what you were saying but I mean how did

you come to choose that particular one? We spent hundreds of hours before coming

over to the Mediterranean to buy a boat. Hundreds of hours just

looking at boats on the Internet so it was a process of elimination

the ones we didn't like we said okay we don't want that feature, we'd like this

feature. So after hundreds of hours you get to feel what you do like and what

you don't like and then we found out that you can buy the same boat in

Australia as you can in the Mediterranean but in Australia it will cost

you fifty thousand dollars extra. Wow. Because of the distances involved so it

was a no-brainer really to come over to Spain because my brother has an

apartment that isn't rented out during the winter, so that was a base for us to

start from and then it was just a question of scouring the the coast of

mainland Spain to find the right boat and we found this one. So were you

looking for a new boat in particular? Oh No - couldn't - our finances - we couldn't

extend out to a brand new boat. I mean I'm a bit green when it comes to buying boats

how much are we talking about roughly? After we'd had had all the work done to it so

we had stainless steel arches put on the back and with davits for the dinghy

and there's a solar array on top of there so after we've had all the work

done on it it it came out to around about a hundred thousand euros. So like a

small house really. Oh yeah yeah and we particularly like this one

because the the saloon table is big enough for both of us to work at with

two computers in the winter and then up in the cockpit again the table

up there is massive, so we just bring our computers up their own work in the back cockpit.

So did you come and look at the boat before you bought it or did you just buy it?

No we just came on spec. Okay yeah it was no that's I mean obviously when

we got in touch with a broker he said oh yeah come down and have a look at this boat

it's not on the market yet because the previous owner was upgrading to a brand

new 48 foot Hanse so this was never actually put on market nobody ever knew

that it was for sale. So we had a great experience with

with Jose and his team there in Spain. And really you didn't know,

not being a sailor you didn't know what to look for did you really? Well again... You've got to rely on

friends. We were total novices we'd never ever set foot on a sailing boat before

we did our lessons in February in Gibraltar.

So we did competent crew and day skipper and a few other - diesel engine

maintenance and stuff like that - courses so that's that's how we came up

with the name. Two novices who have never done any sailing in their life

it was ... we're learning as we went so it was ABC. So my wife's name's Aannsha,

my name is Barry - oh I see - and the Sea yeah that's the name of A B Sea

Clever clever combination. Yeah. So you must have been very very certain that you were

Well yes we've always enjoyed

adventure and travel and we also both scuba dive so you know this is an

opportunity really to scuba dive wherever you were in the world off the

back end of the boat so you know we haven't had the chance to do much scuba

diving yet, mostly because we've been non-stop traveling just to get the boat

over here. So you know if you're in a boat together you're gonna have a pretty

good relationship haven't you to? You have to yes put up with one another in a small space

like that. When I originally came up with the idea to years ago Aannsha just said no

there's no way, I'm not getting on the boat. And then we had about six months of

very long conversations - very deep and meaningful conversations and by the end

of that six months I think Aannsha was more enthusiastic about the idea than I

was and that was pretty excited about it. So we've left Australia we've come

to Spain and you're going to get on the boat

how did you plan your trip? To here? No from the start

of when you get on the boat. What had you said, right we'll go to the Mediterranean and

spend a bit that time there or had you thought right we're going to go around

the world? Oh yes well um originally we wanted to buy in Australia but price

just made us move to the Mediterranean to buy. $50,000 goes a

long way. And then we're going to because we're again we're novices we're

gonna spend the first two or three years just sailing around the Mediterranean so

that we've got a lot of experience and miles under our belt for when we head

out into the big ocean and then eventually we'll we'll get the boat back

to Australia. It could take 14 15 years. We're not in a

hurry, we haven't got a real destination

There's no end goal. Because there's got to be a lot more to it than just sailing

away from the Mediterranean because you've got places like Somalia where

you've got to be so careful. Yes yeah. You've got

tolls going through the Suez Canal and things like that. So are you gonna

research all that before you go I mean or are you just gonna go on spec?

Tmhere's a rough plan we sail out of the Med and turn left. That sounds like a simple plan. It's very

very technical terminology here. Out of the Straits of Gibraltar, turn left, head down

to the Canary Islands because I used to live there as well so many friends to

see when we get there. Then we'll go down to the Cape Verde Islands and then

we'll cross the Atlantic south of the equator and go to Brazil, places like

that, and then eventually up through up through the Virgin Islands and the

Bahamas and all that sort of stuff - eventually through the Panama Canal and

then down a little bit of the west coast of South America - so we want to go to

Peru - again we've got a friend there so we're going to visit them - and then just

zigzag across the Pacific checking out all of the islands that we can and scuba

diving as much as we can and then eventually back to Australia. So when you

were younger did you foresee that you would ever be doing this? I've always

been a wanderer. As soon as I figured out that passport and airport went together I

I left England. Yeah in fact of all of the countries I've

lived in the longest I've ever lived in one country was Australia was 20 years.

I left England when I was 19 so. So you might not get back in there after Brexit

might you? Ah what into England? Well we're hoping that Brexit gets delayed as long

as possible at least another two or three years for purely

selfish purposes of course. Because you know it's easy for us being dual

nationals with Australian and British passports so it's easy for us to

travel. So you've got another home on the other side of the world really. That's right

That you can pop into. That's right. so let's now a play a record and you'll

probably guess which one I'm going to put on but after this I'm going to ask

you about the Nitty Gritty of actually sailing the boat, what there is to do

because I'm not a sailor, I haven't a clue about sailing and I'm just

interested in finding out what else you have to do on a big trip like that.

Coming back to you in just a moment. Right we have with us now Barry Noble and

we're talking about Barry's trip from Australia to Spain to buy a yacht. He's

then got on this yacht and he sailed it back through the Mediterranean - no mean

feat because there's a few islands in the way and bottom of Italy and places like

that and he's arrived in Kefalonia and Barry tell us a little bit about the

day-to-day running of a boat like that I mean you you learned how to sail it but

you didn't learn how to live in it did you? No we didn't, we've had to

rethink a lot of what people would say are everyday things. Water usage is

one of the main things, we have 600 litres of fresh water on board so making

sure that we don't run out of fresh water is something to be paramount...

Carefol of yeah yeah. Is there a way of collecting it when you're at sea?

We could put a tarpaulin across if it's been raining enough and then you just

run that through to fill up the tanks- there's two separate tanks. The other thing of

course is diesel - we've got a 205 litre

diesel tank but um you know sometimes you ... it's quite expensive to fill

It is expensive ... yes several times. And do you find the fuel cheaper here than it is in

Spain? I think that the highest price we have paid so far is one euro

87 a litre ... hmm... and it is getting cheaper as we move further east but

you know I mean if there's no wind you've gotta use your engine it's as

simple as that it's just a big motor boat . So yeah fuel has been expensive. We

actually ran out of fuel coming in to Corfu coming over the

northern end of Corfu. That was interesting. At night and all of a sudden the engine just

went woomp, stop. We do carry 40 litres of spare reserve

fuel so we had to top off the tank with those two and we were only 12 miles from

our destination when we ran out. Frustrating. Again an interesting

experience, something that you you have to go through to realize that it's not a

big deal. There was no wind there was no waves we were good a couple of miles

offshore so we had plenty of time to put those 40 litres into the tank, bleed

the system of air and get the engine running again. So have you got a spare

engine as well? No no the monohull only has the single engine.

I think originally we we started looking at buying a catamaran but then we

quickly quickly realized that we just simply couldn't afford to run it

- and I suppose you've got your tender haven't you so you have got a boat. We do yeah

perhaps use in an emergency. At a push the outboard motor on the dinghy could pull

A B Sea along. She weighs 9.6 tons so getting that started with a

small outboard engine would be difficult but once it's underway it won't stop. There's no brake

pedal. So if it's in the sea and you're gonna be several years are you gonna

actually go to port to have it de-fouled

Yeah antifoul paint, yeah antifouling most antifouling should be applied every

12 months and it's always good to haul it out and have that done

anyway. It's expensive to do. Yes it can be again it all depends on which

country you're at and what they ... So you have to plan it pretty carefully... Yeah yeah. And

Aannsha, is she the galley slave or? No we both cook. I enjoy cooking so it's

not a problem for me to go into the galley and whip something up. But

generally if we if we know we're going to be on a longer passage we'll

prepare meals in advance and that way all you got to do is cook some pasta or

some rice and then heat up the meal and it's just... Do you find it's it's less of

a chore to cook in a galley like that or do you can't be bothered with that sort of thing? It's

it's the problem, the problem is if you're trying to cook under way and

you're down there for you know maybe an hour

you know chopping everything you're cooking the food, you're likely to get

seasick, it's as simple as that. So if you can just get on your meal and

then you ever feel like eating at all no! So yeah just maybe ... It's interesting

you know these are things that people don't think about really. No not at all.

What else we have to rethink? Internet usage for example yeah

you know ... Have you got a satellite unit? No we can't afford that I mean if you want

satellite internet on a boat you're looking at probably $10,000 to set it up

for installation costs and then you're looking at five thousand dollars a year

for your data. It's very expensive. There's a system isn't there called InMastSat coz I

saw the receivers in London once and I looked it up and they're worldwide aren't they? They can route

your calls and but it does come at a cost. Yeah. It's very

impressive when it's working but it's the sort of thing you see on these big

oh the big cruise ships? Yeah those guys just turning the engine

can cost them five grand. When we look in some of the internet pages at some of

these rental charter yachts you know ten thousand a week, 20,000... We had this while

we were in Ibiza we were parked in a nice little bay there for a week and this big

catamaran that we've never seen before came up dropped anchor right next to us

and so we caught its name, looked it up on the internet, it was forty two

thousand dollars a week to hire it. It's staggering isn't it? Yeah crazy. Only for

the rich and famous. But then you're having a sample of that yourself really aren't you

on a smaller scale. We were enjoying the same real estate as they were. And you were

still getting the same sun and the same sea yeah and everything. So anyway um

we'd love you to come in again before you go ... okay... if that's alright yeah especially as

we got no internet today which is a bit of a shame but we can't do

anything about, but I wish you all the best and I wish Aannsha all the

best cuz I understand she's had a little bit of a connection with the pavement... yeah

possible broken wrist. Yeah what a shame but all the best Aannsha and

let's get that sorted out before you get on the boat again or at least work on

the boat and we wish you all the very best while you're here. Thank you and

if people want to follow us on YouTube - oh yes I was gonna

mention to you about your blogs yeah - well they can they can just if they go

into Google or whatever their favorite search engine is and just type in

Sailing A B Sea but C is spelled S E A so Sailing AB Sea into your search engine, we'll

come up at the top of the list you can check the YouTube you can check the

website for the blogs that come out every week and or catch up on Facebook

which is always up-to-date in real time. Alright so and if you're going into a

port and they see you're going into port Do you welcome them being on the quayside

with a nice cup of tea ice ... or a cold beer!

Thank you very very much indeed for coming in today. Thanks Pete

Well thank you for that I think we covered most of what we were yeah I'm thinking we'll

have a repeat performance in the next week or two depending on when you can

sta. It just depends on that weather - yeah - Cuz we ain't going out there

if that comes in as strong as it reckons it's gonna come in.

Let's see how they get on with Internet and we'll try and get you in

either Friday or the following Monday ...sure... and we'll do it again coz I'll

forget everything you told me ... Thank you Cheers. Now do you know your way? I just go

out to the door there and yeah. So that was Peter Lee! Great stuff join us anytime 96.5

Man Utd news: New Jose Mourinho claim surfaces after Paul Pogba row - Duration: 2:48.

Mourinho yesterday said he "couldn't be happier" with Pogba after the France midfielder suggested he was dissatisfied with life at Old Trafford

Mourinho said: "He's playing well, he does for the fans, he does for the team and that's what I want

"I cannot demand more from him, I cannot ask more from him." But Magee thinks Mourinho has only made those comments after getting a word in the ear from key figures at Old Trafford

"I don't think there's a shift. I think Mourinho is trying to initiate one," Magee told the Transfer Talk podcast

"Those comments sound slightly ludicrous. That won't resonate with United fans. They maybe dissatisfied with Mourinho but I also think from their record signing they haven't seen the best of Pogba

"Yes there will be questions over the fact he plays a more advanced role for France than he does for United so maybe he's not being deployed correctly

"But the next stage is if he leaves Man United and performs well elsewhere it makes Man United look silly

"It sounds to me as if Jose Mourinho has been told in the background 'don't devalue the player'

" Pogba was handed the captain's armband for United's season opener against Leicester, scoring from the penalty spot in the 2-1 win

But he muddied the water afterwards, saying "If you're not happy, you cannot give your best

There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined." Discussing Mourinho's staunch defence, Magee continued: "I don't think he likes being told what to do and those comments are too over the top in my view

"n terms of who has the power, one party has just come back from the World Cup having had a key role in helping France win it for the first time in 20 years

"he other one, the extending question from that from United fans is 'would they be sad to see him go?' "I don't think they'd be sad to see the back of Mourinho right now

"

(Japanese editor's thoughts) US, South Korea's sovereignty violation? Controversy in Korea! - Duration: 6:17.

US, South Korea's sovereignty violation? Controversy in Korea! (Translated by google.com)

It is argued that President Trump's remarks about South Korea's vice foreign minister's remarks on 5.24 measures are in line with infringement of sovereignty.

Trump said, "Korea can not lift North Korea sanctions without US approval."

The US press officer replied, "The United States continues to coordinate closely with the alliance, South Korea and North Korea, in order to respond in unison."

Most of the members of the National Assembly are shut up, but the opposition leader, the representative of the opposition party, cried "Trump's approval is an insult to the sovereign nation and its ally, the South Korean people."

The leader of the opposition party, the opposition party, pointed out that it was "an outward incitement," but criticized the South Korean government, saying, "The Korean government is big on the side it invited."

In particular, the problem was not "consultation" but "approval".

The US media has pointed out that it is extremely difficult to relax or lift North Korea's sanctions against Trump's dismissal as a reality.

The US Congress has a strong criticism of the Korean government's move toward easing North Korea sanctions.

On one side, President Trump said he was missing a missile test or nuclear test, and said "big change."

Korea's reaction

I can not say anything to China, but it speaks loudly to America.

It is a bloody conflict with the United States, not China 's dependency on North Korea. Do you think you want to promote anti-American sentiment?

It's just a stumbling block to the United States to check for a break,

At the time of 6.25, the United States battled with us, bleeding with us. Similarly, during the Vietnam War, we bloodyly fought with the United States.

The United States has certainly warned North Korea to sanction countries that support material, but what does it matter to the tribe?

Korea is in a state of truce, so it must be allowed by the United Nations to deal with North Korea, the US military is a UNC commander,

It is better to be incorporated into a US state rather than being a tributary of North Korea and China.

It is precisely the exact level of the support level of the Liberal Party's national anthem.

What is it? Originally South Korea is a tributary of the United States. At that time, it is a tributary of China. It is a matter of course.

It's a tributary ...

It is sold to the side. Do you have to listen to the sovereign state to be approved by another country?

Is not the current South Korea the result of South Korea? Although the expression "tributary" was too much, I think there is an obligation that we must follow in the international order led by the United States.

I think it is better to depend on North Korea.

Korea is getting more and more lost. It is not good to be planted in America.

Independence of the economy is important, not independence of politics. If economy and politics are separate, this article is useful, but if the economy is a problem ... It is very difficult.

It is true that it is on the palm of the United States. But across the Pacific, someday I'll be back home.

Comment from: http://bit.ly/2NCcURz http://bit.ly/2NEEZrm http://bit.ly/2NDqRPm

Editing impressions (Japanese editor's thoughts)

I also felt Mr. President Trump's remark that Korea is not determined in his country, but the situation is not simple.

The 5.24 measure was sanctioned by the Korean government as a retaliation against the sinking of Cheonan.

Therefore, the Korean government seems to think that it is decided by the thought of oneself alone.

The sanctions are trying to lift the restrictions on the railway and road connection between North and South that Moon Jae-in regime is going to proceed.

Did not the Pedometer opposition think it was going to braking by pointing to this 5.24 measure?

But before it was criticized unilaterally in the United States, it developed into the issue of sovereignty in Korea.

Certainly, the North Korean problem is strictly monitored because the United States has the key to negotiations and the restraint of other countries' sanctions is a deterrent to negotiations.

If you look at the United States, the Korean government has made a lot of efforts to make it unintentionally.

Although the United States has its own sanctions, it is a thing of the United Nations, but I want to negotiate by having the present situation of North Korea suffering.

While it is certain that the South Korean government can dismiss the sanctions by the South Korean government alone, it is said that the United States should not do anything that would adversely affect negotiations without permission.

Considering the past history and the issue of security guarantees, Korea's sovereignty is undoubtedly limited and not started anytime soon.

What if Japan proposes to lift sanctions to resolve the abduction issue?

In that case, North Korea's behavior will be at the end, but we will review it when it comes to the negotiation table.

Can not it be the same as this case a little bit?

Thank you for watching.

I would appreciate your evaluation of the video if you do not mind.

Positive doping tests at Craven Week 'alarming' - Duration: 6:42.

Positive doping tests at Craven Week 'alarming'

Positive doping tests at Craven Week 'alarming'.

Six players tested positive for anabolic steroids at the 2018 Craven Week‚ according to the SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS).

Chief executive Khalid Galant revealed the worrying statistic at a presentation the organisation's annual report to parliament this week.

Three schoolboy players were among seven positive doping tests in rugby between April 2017 and March 2018‚ which also revealed 46 adverse findings (positive dope tests) from 1‚659 tests across all sports.

Galant said the number of Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) at schoolboy rugby level continues to be "alarming" and expressed concern at "the high tolerance of parents and coaches to doping practices".

This is based on the 122 tests that were done during the 2018 Craven Week tournament and an alarming six players testing positive‚ all related to anabolic steroids.

The corresponding number of positive tests in recent years was three in 2014‚ five in 2015‚ four in 2016 and three in 2017.

Earlier this year Galant wrote to school rugby tournament organisers explaining the SAIDS Clean School Sport Policy‚ in terms of which "anti-doping detection‚ deterrence and prevention strategies will be extended to include in-competition testing at selected school sport events and tournaments".

"The individual participating schools are encouraged to schedule an anti-doping education session so that the learners‚ coaches and parents are aware of the drug testing process‚ what to expect‚ the dangers of doping‚ the risks of using dietary or sports supplements and the educational resources available to prevent falling foul of anti-doping regulations‚" he wrote.

SA Rugby said it was fully supportive of SAIDS and condemned the use of performance enhancing drugs in the sport.

"There is no place in rugby for cheating‚ which is exactly what the use of banned substances is‚ and we support SAIDS fully in this‚" an SA Rugby spokesperson said.

"The Coca-Cola Youth Weeks is the only time our best young players at school level can be tested.

"We are so committed to stamping out the use of banned substances‚ that we provide funding towards the testing of players at the Youth Weeks‚ as well as educating the players from U16 level.

"They need to know from early in their careers that there is not hiding place when it comes to using banned substances." SA Rugby has no jurisdiction over schoolboys outside of national weeks and the onus rests with parents and coaches to police anti-doping.

The report also revealed the following detail: -A total of 1‚659 athletes were tested during the year.

-These included 1‚312 urine tests‚ 296 blood tests and 29 tests for EPO (erythropoietin).

-A total of 46 anti-doping rule violations (ADRVs) were detected during the period.

-A total of 23 tests were carried out on bodybuilders with 14 ADRVs‚ 11 of which were at one single competition – by far the highest in any single sports code.

-The most tested sports category in 2017-18 was athletics (including long-distance running)‚ with 546 tests and six ADRVs; -The second-most tested category was a total of 391 tests amongst rugby union players‚ with seven ADRVs – three of which were from schoolboy-level players participating in the 2017 Craven Week Rugby tournament.

The names of these players have not been made public as they are minors.

-The overall number of tests were partially restricted in the 2017-18 year after the SA Doping Control Laboratory in Bloemfontein lost its World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) accreditation.

This meant that samples had to be couriered to WADA accredited laboratories overseas at a considerable cost.

The laboratory is run entirely independently of SAIDS.

-A total of 126 Anti-Doping Education Events were conducted nationally during this period‚ covering a range of sports codes‚ from school to club‚ provincial and national level.

Last month, he worked behind-the-scenes to get one of the British channels to pick up the rights to his daughter's big day after the BBC reportedly rejected it over fears it would be a ratings flop

there's a place where you can get - is it called the gyro?

Barcelona transfer news: Valverde doesn't need to sign Man Utd star Pogba - Rivaldo - Duration: 3:42.

That's according to Brazil legend Rivaldo. The former forward spent five seasons at the Nou Camp, winning a number of trophies

And now he's had his say on the latest rumours circling around his old club regarding the potential signing of highly-rated midfield maestro Pogba

Betfair ambassador Rivaldo said: "Lately there's been speculation about Paul Pogba's future, following the Manchester United midfielder's misunderstandings with Jose Mourinho, and a potential transfer to Barcelona has been rumoured in the media

"  "Yes, Pogba is a good player but I don't think Barcelona needs him." The Frenchman returned to Old Trafford having played a key role in his country's World Cup victory in Russia

And he immediately grabbed the headlines again on United's return to Premier League action last Friday, scoring a penalty in the first three minutes having surprisingly been given the captain's armband

He arrived at the Red Devils in 2016 for a then world record fee of £89million, having been released by the club four years prior

But after a troubled two years and an increasingly strained relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, it was thought he could be on his way out of Old Trafford

Pogba has refused to speak out on the situation for fear of being fined, but hinted that there were trust issues between him and his boss

Speaking after his side's 2-1 win over Leicester, he said: "If you're not happy, you cannot give your best

"There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined." But Mourinho yesterday said he had 'never been happier' with Pogba in an attempt to defuse the situation

Barcelona have lost key men in midfield this summer, including the likes of Andres Iniesta and Paulinho

Pogba was rumoured to be a potential replacement in the heart of a midfield known for their 'tiki-taka' style of play

But Rivaldo feels the replacements already brought in by Valverde are good enough to carry out the task at hand

He said: "This summer, the club have made good signings, in Arthur and Arturo Vidal, and they have a strong squad for the new season

"Losing such a quality player as Andres Iniesta could leave a gap on the middle of the pitch, but I believe Barca's new players will step up and do a good job

"The club always try to bring the best players to Camp Nou and I'm pretty sure that the recent acquisitions are eager to do a great job in Iniesta's place

" Chilean Vidal joined from Bayern Munich for £16m, while Brazilian side Gremio sold Arthur to the Catalan club for £28m

Greek lesson: Learn how to use the words ''δουλεύω'' and ''λειτουργώ'' - Duration: 2:40.

Hello! Welcome to another Greek lesson! Well, this week you have me again! Today, we will answer Joris's question.

Joris asked us what the difference is between the words "δουλεύω" and "λειτουργώ".

When do we use one and when the other?

Let's go, see the first verb, the "δουλεύω".

Well, the "δουλεύω" is used to refer

usually to the work we do, in our profession.

For example, we say "δουλεύω σε μία εταιρεία επεξεργασίας μετάλλου" or "πέρσι δούλευα σε ένα ξενοδοχείο".

This word is also used to refer to the overall effort

which makes someone to become better both personally and professionally.

For example, we say, "ο Νίκος δουλεύει πολύ με τον εαυτό του και έχει αλλάξει πολλές κακές συνήθειες του παρελθόντος."

Finally, there is a very nice expression with this verb. Many people ask in Greece "με δουλέύεις;" Meaning "you kidding me", are you serious or not?

On the other hand, we have the word "λειτουργώ" which is different from the previous one.

When we say "λειτουργώ" we refer to the operation of a machine or organ of the body.

For example, we say "αν σταματήσει να λειτουργεί η καρδιά μας θα πεθάνουμε"

or "η μηχανές της εταιρείας ηλεκτρισμού λειτουργούν 24 ώρες το εικοσιτετράωρο"

Also, you can say "το περιβάλλον στη δουλειά μου δεν είναι καλό και δεν μπορώ να λειτουργήσω σωστά"

that is, I can not perform well, it does not suit me.

More generally, "δουλεύω" refers to the profession and to what we do daily to live and "λειτουργώ"

refers to repeated movements of a machine, a human organ

and the ability of someone to act in a space or not.

That's all for today, I hope we helped with this lesson and you have learned something more in Greek.

The next week you will see Joanna with a new lesson. Bye from me!
