Youtube daily report Jan 17 2017

This is Whitley County. Like many counties in this region, voters here overwhelmingly

supported Donald Trump in November's election. The county has a median per capita income

of around $16,000. It's 97% white and 88% of the residents over 25 don't have a college degree.

It also happens to be the birthplace for Kentucky Fried Chicken

And yet these are some the Americans who have

also benefitted most from Barack Obama's signature healthcare policy. The Affordable Care Act

"I'm running around with Vox V O

X dot news and all that, and there's a news person and he's following me around to learn

about southeastern Kentucky and how the effects of the healthcare have been on us"

That's Kathy. She works as an enrollment counselor for Obamacare, helping people sign

up for the program. Since the law was implemented in 2013, the

percentage of people in this county with health insurance went from 75% to 90%. And Kathy

has signed up a lot of those people.

"Over a thousand..I've lost count"

But here's the curveball Who did you end up voting for? "Trump"

Since Obamacare launched in 2013 the number of lower income, less educated white Americans

with insurance increased by not just in Kentucky, but nationwide.

This group benefitted disproportionately from the law.

Yet this same demographic showed up in huge numbers for Trump in November.

I went to Kentucky to talk to Kathy. I wanted to understand why so many people would vote

for a candidate who swore to repeal a program they depend so much on.

Vox would soon be hosting an interview with President Obama and we invited Kathy attend

to share her perspective and ask a questions. …"they invited me to the white house

Oh my god oh my god oh my god, YES, the white house, right, guess where I'm going Friday?

To the White House. You've got to get on Facebook you've really missed out on a lot of stuff.

Oh, get on Facebook. Oh, you'll read all about it."

Before going to DC, we traveled around South Eastern Kentucky, talking to Trump supporters

who are also enrolled in Obamacare to hear their opinions about the law and what they

think the next administration will do to make it better

We landed on a couple of explanations for this Trump-Obamacare paradox.

The first is that people in Kentucky believe Trump and the GOP would never actually repeal

a program that benefits over 20 million people "So you don't think that that, that they

would actually do that?" "No, they couldn't. That would be like He's

got children, he's smarter than that. you know what I'm saying"

A lot of people thought Trump's campaign rhetoric against Obamacare was all talk and

that there's really no way he would actually repeal a program that so many are

dependent on. And it wasn't just these Trump Voters who thought that.

I have been covering the healthcare law as a journalist for about 7 years now.

It actually felt like a safe assumption that the ACA, rolled out, covering 20 million people

That it was going to stick around.

I remember I wrote a story for Vox and the headline was something like

"Obamacare survived its final hurdle and its here to stay"

Republicans up through the election and up after the election remained so committed to repealing the ACA.

I did not expect that. I thought we were going to see a backing off of those attitudes.

And I was wrong.

Many Obamacare enrollees in Kentucky, as well as policy experts and journalists all assumed

Obamacare was too widespread to be repealed. But Congressional republicans are proving

them wrong, moving as aggressively as they can to repeal it.

"Mr Ryan has said a top priority for the new congress is the repeal of Obamacare.

But perhaps the stronger theory on why Obamacare

beneficiaries voted for Trump was a general dissatisfaction with the cost of the program

and the believe that Trump would somehow make it better for them.

We met up with Perry, a security guard recently signed up for Obamacare. It's the first

time he's ever had health insurance in his life.

Perry: "I've not been to a doctor...you weren't even in this world last time I went to a doctor"

Thanks to Kathy, Perry was able to sign up at healthcare.gov just a few months ago. But

his deductible ended up being $2000.

"Unless something drastic was to happen, how many times will I have to go to the doctor,

to the hospital or something Before I, you know, use up over 2000 dollars,

I just wish that, if they're gonna shove it down your throat, have something that you can afford

We headed to an Antique shop in where the

owner Bobby, another Obamacare enrollee, talked to us about her experience with the ACA

"I had breast cancer last year. I was very happy to have my insurance.

But I didn't realize that the government was subsidizing my health insurance.

And I do think everybody deserves quality healthcare. I just think the American form

of healthcare is just totally out of hand price wise.

One of Bobby's complaints with the program is that it's been linked to a president she strongly dislikes

"And I absolutely detest hearing the word Obamacare. Detest it."

We traveled out to mall right on the border with Tennessee where Kathy sets up a booth

to sign people up for Obamacare.

We talked to the mall manager about all of what he see with his co-workers and employees.

"Initially, it seemed that everyone was excited uh that they were going to have an

opportunity to have health insurance that they could afford. To them, some of them,

first time in their whole life that they'd ever had coverage. The following year they

were faced with the the cost was increasing so they had to make changes again. And most

of the time, it meant they were looking for policies that had even higher deductibles

So that they could just try to keep insurance."

While Obamacare lead to 20 million Americans getting health insurance, half of the enrollees

who get their insurance on the obamacare marketplace say deductibles are still too high.

"I'd say the people are disappointed, yeah, because some of them, because they have such tight budgets.

Frustrated with the high rates, ACA enrollees have high confidence that Donald Trump will

fix the problems with the health care law.

"I think he will try because he's a business person first. And he knows money.

So I think he'll fix a lot of things.

I think that he will replace it with, or I'm hoping that he will, at least

judging by the way he talks, you know, he's going to replace it with something even better.

Donald Trump didn't campaign on a plan to replace Obamacare. Instead he focused on a

promise repealing it.

It will be repealed and replaced and we'll know and it will be great health care for much less money.

An analysis by the non partisan Commonwealth Fund found Trumps proposals

would lead up to 25 million people uninsured.

But the people we talked to didn't seem to need a plan.

They felt frustrated with the current version of the law and seemed ok to take a gamble on Trump's

promise to " repeal and replace it with something terrific"

Kathy and many others took that gamble. We traveled through a snowstorm, to Fly to

DC to meet the president.

"Go ahead Kathy"

Hello, President Obama, I'm very excited to meet you.

Many Kentuckians are looking at the Affordable Care as unaffordable and unusable. how do

you think this happened? How can we fix it? Do we start all over again? What do you think

we should do?

"this is my main criticism of Obamacare is that the subsidies aren't as high as

they probably should be for a lot of working people.

So the two things we could do that would really make it work even better for people in Kentucky

would be, number one, to provide more subsidies to folks who are working hard every day but

still find the premiums — even with the subsidies — hard to meet.

The problem is that's not what's being proposed by Mitch McConnell, the senator from Kentucky

Obama's answer to Kathy lasted almost 8 minutes

and you should watch the full thing to really hear his defense

But the gist of his answer is that The Affordable Care Act is imperfect but that the existing

law can be improved upon.

But the GOP isn't proposing improvements to the existing law. They are proposing repeal

and have yet to articulate how they will legislate something better to take its place

I am saying to every Republican right now: "If you can in fact put a plan together

that is demonstrably better than what Obamacare is doing, I will publicly support repealing

Obamacare and replacing it with your plan." But I want to see it first. I want to see it first

Many took the gamble on Trump without seeing

any such plan. And now that the GOP controls congress we will see if they can make good

on their promise to build something better than Obamacare.

"I thought well, we need something different and that's why I made a joke it

was like Russian Roulette or pushing the little Vegas little bar saying hey, I'm going to vote."

Hot Takes - Stop Saying "Lit" - Duration: 1:21.

(upbeat music)

- Today I wanna sit you down and tell you something

we've needed to talk about for awhile.

We need to stop saying lit.

Heres the thing, I used to say it a lot,

and I'd go as far as to say yes

I absolutely popularize saying lit.

Listen if everything is lit nothing is lit.

Oh man, this turkey sandwich, lit.

This coffee table, lit.

Oh, last night's episode of Downtown Abbey, lit.

Lit's approached swag levels.

From 2011 to 2012 we ruined swag,

then we took a break and now I think we're in

the clear to say swag again.

That's how lit is.

YOLO was never cool, neither is on fleek.

Those words were planted by the feds into pop culture.

The government tricked you into thinking teens

like those words.

They don't, they're trash, but lit,

it's classic.

Look we don't have to stop saying lit forver,

just right now.

This isn't the end, we just need some space

for a little bit.

By mid 2017 we'll both miss each other.

One of us is gonna text the other, it'll be

a passionate race but for right now we just need some space.

It was lit fam.

Hot Takes - The Weeknd - Duration: 1:42.

- The Weeknd might sing about sex,

but he's actually a virgin.

(light hip hop beats)

The Weeknd has had maybe the best year

of anyone's life recently making hit after hit

about living a fast life of sex,

drugs and having sex on drugs.

But when you really think about it this man

is lying to the American public, the Canadian public,

uh how many other countries are there?

'Cause, that's how many countries.

'Cause The Weeknd is definitely a virgin.

One of Abel's biggest hit songs is a song called Often.

The hook is like often, often, girl I do this often.

If you really fuck so often,

you wouldn't need to tell us about it,

because we would've already had sex with you.

And guess what, I've never had sex with The Weeknd.

If you spent a whole song telling me how much sex you have,

I'm just gonna assume you don't have sex at all.

You know, anyone who spends that much time

telling the public how much they fuck,

they're probably a virgin.

Except me, I fuck like all the time.

Right, like the sex doctor said my dick is gonna fall off.

And they also said my muscles are too big,

and my hands are gonna fall off from texting too many babes.

And they're like really worried.

When Trey Songz put out I Invented Sex,

I was like listen pal, one I know that's not true.

Two, starting to think you haven't had sex at all, honestly.

Lil B recently put out a song called For The Record,

where he says fuck The Weeknd put that on record.

Here's the thing, before this I loved The Weeknd,

but I'm a registered member of Lil B's Bitch Mob Task Force

and I'm not gonna deny the word of our messiah, okay.

So if Lil B has beef with The Weeknd,

I have beef with The Weeknd.

The Weeknd if you're watching this, which I know you are.

One, I know you've never had sex.

Also, we have beef now.

Hot Takes - Pizza - Duration: 1:27.

- This week's Hot Take, get off pizza's (beep).

(electronic beat music)

Hey, it's Brandon Wardell, your girl's MCM.

Today's Hot Take, pizza's not a personality.

Everyone on the internet needs

to calm the (beep) down about pizza.

It's an epidemic at this point.

Did you just find out about pizza?

Are you actually this hype about pizza?

It's literally been around longer than America.

Christopher Columbus ate pizza on his 13th birthday,

then went over to a brown kid's birthday party,

ate all his pizza too.

Everybody likes pizza, like everybody.

Are you trying to be relatable?

'Cause you might as well say you like air

and water and music.

Hot girls on the internet love talking

about pizza more than anyone.

Like, I'm supposed to see your Instagram pic

with pizza and think, "Oh, wow, she's so real."

I know you're not eating that.

You don't look like you eat pizza.

You look like you eat juice,

and you spend two hours getting ready to eat juice.

This is bacon all over again.

Remember when every neck beard started

being obsessed with bacon?

Like, you're not funny or interesting

or at all compelling to be around,

so you make bacon your whole thing?

Thanks to the internet, bacon has become the fedora of meat.

We just found out bacon gives you cancer,

just like fedoras.

Congrats, internet, you ruined food

and you ruined my life.

Hot Takes - Real Life Is Fake and the Internet Is Real - Duration: 1:33.

- The internet personality/comedy icon Brandon Wardell

here, you're watching me on a screen right now.

Which means I'm better than you, okay sorry,

that's just how life works, okay I never

watch you on screen unless you like do something like this.

Basically, the more people that watch you on screens,

the more value you have as a human being okay.

A lot of your teachers and parents might

have taught you, it's what's on the inside that counts.

Well, that's why absolutely none of your

teachers or parents are popping online.

Okay if they were popping online they wouldn't

be your teachers or parents, check your mom's Insta.

Here cultural importance is on par with a bag of groceries.

And that's cause they're not doing

anthing to curate their brand.

If no one's smashing your like button,

how am I supposed to trust your character.

You need to curate a version of yourself

that the internet likes and trusts

and then live that version of you.

I know it sounds harsh, but that charity

work you're doing, if it's not documented

and instantly viral, did it happen?

Personally, I don't think so, it's 2016,

quite trying to be nice, start trying to look nice.

Okay work on you, work on your brand

and then work on the television.

It's not theh content of someone's character that counts.

It's the content of someone's content.

A Puppy Playdate | Puppy Days - Duration: 2:57.

Let's go.

Good girl.

NARRATOR: In LA, Karma is growing up

in a single dog household, so there's

no buddy to show her the ropes.

ADRIENNE: Today, Karma's going on her first big play date

with other dogs.

Not only that, but bigger dogs than she is.

So it's important that Karma socializes

for a lot of reasons.

One is her breed.

She is a pit bull.

Come on, Karma.

Come on.

And I do not want anyone to say to me

she's fulfilling a stereotype.

But also just because it's important for her

to play with other dogs.

Yeah!

That was so good!

I can't be her playmate all the time.

NARRATOR: They're visiting Adrienne's friend Christina--

I don't know if I should pick you up or not.

NARRATOR: Who's an experienced dog owner.

It's OK.

It's OK.

Hello.

Hi.

[barking]

CHRISTINA: Shh.

ADRIENNE (VOICEOVER): We opened the door,

and the dogs were going berserk.

ADRIENNE: Hey, everybody. -OK, OK, OK.

Shh.

ADRIENNE (VOICEOVER): Ghost is a husky,

and he is a very big dog.

And she was extremely overwhelmed.

CHRISTINA: So in a few minutes, let her go.

ADRIENNE: OK.

CHRISTINA: Ghost.

ADRIENNE: Hi, baby.

OK, how do you feel?

You re doing so good.

You want a treat?

ADRIENNE (VOICEOVER): Karma, she didn't cower,

but I was expecting her to be berserk and, like,

just start bounding and playing and gnawing on them.

ADRIENNE: I'm so proud of you.

CHRISTINA: Ghost, be gentle.

ADRIENNE (VOICEOVER): I was scared that Ghost was

just going to bound on top of her

and not realize how big he is.

[whimpers] -It's OK.

It's OK. It's OK.

You're OK.

Ghost, did you really have to jump over her?

You're OK.

CHRISTINA: Let her be a dog.

She's not as fragile as she may look.

Because if you continually pick her up when--

ADRIENNE: Yeah, other dogs come.

The socialization won't work.

ADRIENNE: Yeah.

Because she thinks that if you're afraid,

then she has to be afraid.

ADRIENNE: Right.

That's a good point.

One of the best pieces of advice was

that when Karma is socializing, she could

be nervous if I'm nervous.

So I need to stay as calm as possible, which is a lot harder

than I thought it would be.

Good girl.

You got it, girl.

Look at you.

Look at you.

You're fine.

There you go.

Look at that.

No one died.

NARRATOR: It's important for puppies

to be exposed to new situations and other dogs

between 8 and 16 weeks old, or they can become easily

spooked when they're older.

Bye, Ghost. Bye, Summer.

Bye, Kitty.

ADRIENNE (VOICEOVER): I hope that we

can do this again, whether it's here or at our place

or at the beach.

I would love to hang out with their dogs,

and they're great people.

NARRATOR: And as first visits go,

this turned out to be a pretty productive play date.

Update 0.6.0 Review - Duration: 3:46.

Greetings, fellow Captains!

We're starting the new year with a new number.

Today I'm going to tell you about Update 0.6.0.

It will bring new Commander skills, Elite Commander XP, changes in the look of the ships, and other new features.

Update 0.6.0

And get ready for more:

Update 0.6.0 will bring extensive improvements for Commander skills.

Now they are arranged over four levels and divided into the following groups:

Attack, Endurance, Support, and Versatility.

Choose from a total of 32 skills:

the 25 that you already know, 16 of which were modified,

and seven completely new perks.

Endurance unites the skills that enhance ship survivability.

There's one new perk in this group:

Priority Target informs you about the number of enemy ships that are aiming at you with their primary armament.

Attack is a group of skills for those who prefer an aggressive playstyle;

it boasts two new perks:

Inertia Fuse for HE Shells increases their penetration capacity by decreasing the probability of setting fire to the enemy ship;

and Emergency Takeoff allows you to launch squadrons when your carrier is on fire,

but the preparation time will double.

The Support group comprises six old and two new skills,

focused on the operation of consumables and auxiliary armaments:

Direction Center for Catapult Aircraft allows you to fly two fighters or spotting aircraft at a time;

and Smoke Screen Expert will increase the area of your smoke screen.

To implement a cunning tactical plan, you'll also need some Versatility.

In this group, you'll find as many as three new perks.

Evasive Maneuver will help you return your bombers and torpedo bombers to the carrier.

With Adrenaline Rush, the reload time of your armaments reduces as your HP diminishes.

And Radio Location shows the approximate direction to the nearest enemy ship,

but remember that the enemy will be informed about this.

When the update is released, all skill points will be reset, so you can explore the new features freely.

Is there life after a Commander reaches 19 skill points?

Yes, there is, and it's full of discoveries!

In Update 0.6.0, players who have fully trained a Commander will start earning Elite Commander XP.

You can spend it on training other Commanders, retraining them for a new ship,

or redistributing their skill points without paying a single Doubloon.

If you don't have enough Elite Commander XP, you can use some Free XP.

The next update, 0.6.1, will certainly please those who like to have everything arranged neatly.

For more details, watch our next review!

To make sure you don't miss it, subscribe to our channel and follow the news on the World of Warships portal.

7 Examples Showing How the Ruling Elite Are Making Us Dumber and What You Can Do - Duration: 10:01.

7 Examples Showing How the Ruling Elite Are Making Us Dumber and What You Can Do.

By Paul A Philips

If you want to hijack a planet what could be a better way of doing it than by controlling

the populace without them ever knowing theyre being controlled? Unaware that anythings

going on the populace would never revolt.

Such is the nature of the hijack from the invisible enemy; the ruling elite and their

silent war on humanity.

In this gross deception, the ruling elites carefully orchestrated plans have two distinct

purposes:

The first purpose is to deceive the populace into believing that their manufactured lies;

psy-ops, falsehoods, distortions, manipulations are real: To prevent any of this from getting

found out a number of distractions have been manufactured to take the populaces focus

of attention elsewhere.

The second is to advance their agenda for total global domination, which is basically

met with minimal resistance because the populace dont know that theyve been deceived

by the first purpose.

Minorities, such as those of us frequenting the alternative media do indeed know this,

but as a safeguard, to prevent the sleeping masses from waking up in numbers and causing

a revolt, the ruling elite are systematically making them dumber.

Here are 7 disturbing examples showing how this is happening and what you can do

1. Increased Toxins

An article in Time Magazine claimed that over 10 years increased environmental toxicity

has contributed to lowering IQ and doubling incidences of developmental disorders, causing

steep rises in, for examples, autism and dyslexia in children.

These environmental toxins including fluoride in the water exacerbate the affects of increased

drugging on children, leading to brain damage.

Increased toxins in the environment through industrial pollution, agrichemicals, geoengineering,

and more mind-altering drugs or vaccines are no coincidences.

The ruling elite know that our children are here to bring in the mass awakening needed

for planetary transformation. Therefore, the children are seen by the ruling elite as a

threat to their agenda and have to be dumbed down.

What about the net effects these toxins will have on the children when they grow up?

2. More mind-altering drugs

Adults have also been increasingly drugged (as well as suffering from the increased environmental

toxicity). For example, the increased prescribing of opioid painkillers in the USA has lead

to a serious addiction epidemic.

Consistent with an increase in anxiety and depression, antidepressants are being prescribed

more than ever. The infamous shooters were on antidepressants, such as the [alleged]

Sandy Hook shooter.

Hostility, violence and suicide have been linked to the side-effects of antidepressants.

According to Dr Ed Group 716/100,000 military people have committed suicide as a result

of antidepressants.

Thats more than those who died fighting in the war.

3. Psychiatry and the mental disorder diagnosis fraud

A major reason for the increased drugging has been psychiatrys Diagnostic and Statistical

Manual (DSM) used to diagnose mental disorders. In the 1930s there were only 34 mental

disorders, now there are some 370 plus.

From a collection of symptoms all these disorders have been invented by a number of psychiatrists

through putting it to their vote: There is no objective scientific evidence to support

the psychiatrists findings.

Nor is there evidence for cures. Take the case of depression. We are told that this

is caused by a biochemical imbalance; a lack of a brain chemical called serotonin, but

there is no evidence to support this claim.

Yes, its a scam, based on vested interest. Remember, the more made up mental disorders

the more drugs needed as treatment. Indeed, this means more revenue for Big Pharma and

Big Government from higher drug sales.

What about the misery and suffering those criminals involved have caused from the side

effects of unnecessary drugs?

If youre diagnosed mentally ill you could have your basic rights taken away. Not permitted

to see your children, no longer able to vote, lose savings

On the subject, I believe it should be a basic right to accept or reject medication for yourself

or your children.

It should not be left to some governmental corporate cronies trying to force their money-based

statist agenda ideals... who should be banning the pills instead of guns... No doubt, we

will have to fight for this basic right.

4. Toxic Food

Our food and water supplies have been made toxic by design: Besides making us sluggish

and foggy minded, a rise in toxic food consumption has contributed greatly to increasing illnesses,

in particular, the life-threatening diseases such as cancer.

Remember, it isnt just about dumbing us down. The ruling elite also want a significant

global depopulation to make their tyrannical rule easier.

Consider toxic junk food. This is essentially processed food chemical laden, high in sugar

and salt content, nasty trans-fats, overcooked and irradiated, deficient in vitamin, enzyme

and mineral content.

All of which if consumed frequent and long-term contributes to the acidic body leading to

illness. GMOs and their toxic genes have also contributed to illness.

The solution, to prevent and reverse illness, is to alkalize the body by eating natural

immune system building alkaline foods and drinking plenty of good clean water.

Eat organic food, as this is free from GMO's and agricultural chemicals. Learn to discern

the deceptive marketing where you could be fooled into buying products that are not organic

or natural.

5. The education system

is yet another dumbing-down agenda. As I have been saying for some time now, the

education system ultimately serves to program and brainwash young people to fit into the

corporate employment agenda like cogs in the wheels rather than treat them as individuals

with their individual needs... see this.

We know that the state education system is now giving children as young as 5 years old

exam-based curricula. I suspect that the dark hidden motive behind this is to stop children

from playing and developing their creative ability:

The ruling elite dont want young people to grow up and be very creative because they

perceive creativity as a threat.

Creativity can mean getting in touch with ones consciousness which if willfully intended

can manifest a reality totally different to the current imprisoning status quo.

One way by which the war on our children shows up is when the state tries to put an end to

homeschooling in whatever way they can, but I believe it is the parents sovereign right

to choose how their children should be educated.

The parents should have the freedom to pull their child away from state education and

choose homeschooling if this is what they want.

6. Free speech suppression

Free speech suppression and political correctness with all its rules and regulations serves

to limit the way we express ourselves.

There are a number of dastardly ulterior motives to this which, in effect, serve to dumb us

down. If the masses succumb they will be:

A. Incapable of critical thinking

B. More easily controlled and manipulated

C. Limited when making choices

D. The unhealthy side of scepticism

E. More intolerant

F More blindly accepting of authorities and the general consensus of the masses

G. Likely to cause protest riots from bottling up the thoughts, feelings, emotions as

a consequence of free speech suppression.

To maintain the constitution, to preserve our rights to free speech, we have to defy

the free speech suppression.

We have to speak out and confront those control freaks with their ulterior motives trying

to keep us quiet. We have a basic human right to express public opinion and wave a banner

of protest

7. The mainstream media

In the silent war on humanity the mainstream media is a clear and present danger.

With its mind controlling, propagandist pap and distracter factor effects, the masses

are in danger of totally becoming irreversibly enslaved zombies without ever realizing the

ulterior motives connected to the enslavement agenda.

Finally

Never intended to be the complete A-Z but that concludes my 7 examples showing how the

ruling elite are systematically making us dumber.

Those who genuinely care see these things and know that they have no other choice than

to take the necessary opposing action.

How To Make A Website - for filmmakers & visual artists - Duration: 22:05.

Hi guys My name is Tom Antos

and I am here today with my brother Lukas

Hello

And I wanted to do this video to

talk about or show you guys, actually how to create a website

And why you should have one, right, that's the main idea

why a fimmaker or other visual artists

why it is a really good idea, an important thing to actually have a website, right?

What are like the main reasons?

Well, I would say the biggest one is

you want to be able to show off your work

If you are a photographer or illustrator or filmmaker like me

You want to have a central place where people can go and see your work

Then if they like your work, hopefully

somewhere where people can easily contact you

So that is the second reason

and I think the last reason is

especially if you start growing your website if you have a lot of visitors

is that you can monetize that by selling products

So we are going to show you how we built a website

and we used Wix.com

and some of the benefits of using Wix is that

they have dedicated templates, design templates

for filmmakers and visual artists

So that is a big thing

and overall, the designs that they offer are very modern, sleek looking

and they've got

all the latest design effects that you see on the web

you'll have at your disposal

Also, another important thing is that all the designs

they work great on desktop and mobile

So that is something that will be very easy for you to implement

And I think it's very important because these days

even our website, statistically, it's like 50/50, pretty much

when it comes to traffic 50% of people

consume or visit our website on mobile devices, right?

Yeah, and the thing is we're probably going to be shifting more and more into mobile

but you still have to take care of the desktop visitors

especially when it comes to selling things

Most people will still use a desktop

So that's why you need to have the experience work for

both types of visitors

Also Wix has some really, of course it has plenty of apps

that will make things easy for you

but there is a couple of apps that I want to mention quickly

It's the Wix Video app that you will see us use in this video

and also the Pro Gallery app

and that's a great tool for showing off photos

so if you are a photographer especially

that's a great tool and

all these apps just make things easy and you'll be able to, for example

for videos, you'll be able to easily upload videos

or share videos that you already have on other websites

like Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo, for example

And you can monetize those videos

That is another big thing

And monetizing, it's not just selling but you can also

rent and offer subscriptions and

everything is very easy to set up thanks to these apps

But it's not just the digital goods, right?

You can actually sell physical goods. Let's say you have hats

That's right. You can sell merchandise as well, yeah.

Anyways, let's just show them how we actually created the website

This is how the website is going to look

The Home page

Blog

a couple of pages showing off our work

the About page

and of course the Contact page

So as we mentioned, we are going to be using Wix to create this website

and as you are about to see this is a very simple tool to use

Here on this screen there are a few options and

you could choose photography or Portfolio & CV

which is what I chose

I also experimented with a few other options

and basically there wasn't like a huge difference

the ones I chose, at least

in terms of what I was getting in terms of the initial design of the website

So, don't worry too much about this

You'll still have plenty of opportunities to adjust things

if you need to

But for visual artists I guess it makes sense

to go either with Photography or Portfolio

Now here, you have to make a decision

whether you want to use the ADI or the Editor

With the ADI, it is a very simple tool to use

It does everything for you

And with the Editor

you've got more control, but there is a bit more work for you to do

Now, I would start with the ADI

and then, if you need to use the Editor

The thing is... if you start with the Editor you cannot go

or once you switch to the Editor you cannot go back to the ADI

So that's why I recommend starting with the ADI

For this website that I built

there was one functionality I could not implement with the ADI

That is why you'll see me use the Editor

in the last stage of the build of this website

So I am just going to pick the ADI here

Here you just give a bit more information about your website

and this way the ADI can do a better job providing you

with the right design

So here you actually have a few options for filmmakers

You could choose the Film Producer

I just picked the Film Director Portfolio

Again, whatever you choose, I don't think it makes a big difference

You'll still have plenty of opportunities

to change things up, so there is no wrong answer here

Here I can add a few more things to the website

I am going to add a blog

Now when it comes to blogs, should you do it or not?

They are really useful, I think but

they do take a lot of time, so if you are a busy filmmaker

and you are on your own, you don't have another person

to help you maintain a blog

then I would say, don't worry about it at this point

just get your website out and show off your work

but long term, yeah, it pays off to have a blog

so if you are able to bring someone onboard

to help with a blog, then I would include a blog in your website

Here you can also see that you can add the ability to sell online

so that is really cool that the ADI allows you

to easily add this functionality

Whether that makes sense for you right now

or maybe in the future, that's a different thing

but it's at your fingertips, if you need this functionality

So I am just going to add a few details about the website

the name and the address which is

just a fake address, or actually I think it's the address

of the Wix office in New York

but that is what I am going to put in for now

The ADI offers to find for you assets for your website

By assets I mean images, information, text and so on

because that is the most time-consuming part of building the website

it's actually getting all the content you want to publish together

So you can quickly here use this tool and

it will look what content is there online

Here is some stuff that the ADI found about us, a few of our websites

but I actually prepared all the images and whatever I needed beforehand so

I am not going to take advantage of this. I am just going to click Skip

Here I am putting in info about our social accounts

and this way the website will nicely link to them

Now the ADI gathers all the information you entered

and the website is about to be built

Here we pick a design template

I am going to pick the Black Ice

and here is the Home page

Now it still doesn't have any sections

just the header and the footer but

as you can see here

Wix or the ADI is going through and adding different sections

so Welcome, Gallery and so on

whatever it thinks you need on your Home page

So here is where the ADI finishes its job

and gives you a nice shiny website

Of course, you can further customize the website and

you can actually turn off the ADI at this point

and you can do things on your own

create new pages and do anything you need

but first time around I would for sure continue with the ADI interview

and continue with the customization of the website

So I am just going to preview the website

So here you can see the Home page with all its sections

So I really like the look of the website

It is very modern, professional

I am going to go back to the ADI to customize the website further

I was trying out a few different site designs and experimenting

but actually the original choice, the Black Ice was the one

I liked the most

As you can see in the menu on the right side

you can customize other things like the website color, fonts

the layout

You can create new sections, edit sections

You can create new pages, and so on and so forth

And you can jump in and do any of this on your own

or you can ask the ADI to guide you through every step

So in the site design, you can go and experiment with

these colors sets. I tried a few but actually

I went back to the original recommendation by the ADI

and I have to say in many cases

when experimenting with the design of the website

I would just go back to the original recommendation

So now I am just going to fix some of the text on the Home page

Now I am going to work on the About page

So here you can see again, there are different templates for the page

So here I just chose one and

I am going to change up the hero image

So this is how the About page looks now

So here I am cleaning up the Home page

deleting a few sections here that I don't really care about

I am going to change the image

So now I am going to create a new page, a Contact page

Here you can see again a few typical pages that you can choose from

Just change the image

So I don't really care about this map here

so I'm just going to unclick this little radio button

So this is how the Home page looks now

I've got here this gallery that I...

I am going to delete it

The idea here is that I actually want a section where I show off the videos

videos that are hosted on YouTube and Vimeo

so, videos hosted on other websites

now, at this point I didn't know how to do it

and it looked like I needed to go to the Editor here to do it

but the thing is, if I go to the Editor, I cannot go back to the ADI

So, I still wasn't sure how I was going to do it

Now, I could have easily added videos to my website

to this gallery that I just deleted

by uploading them to the website

but that's not what I wanted to do

I wanted to actually share videos, show videos that I am hosting

on YouTube and Vimeo

and that was not possible with the ADI

So I will show you how I end up doing this

using two different methods, actually

But I am going to show you how to do it with the Editor

That's how you will have to do this at this point

Now Wix has told me that soon enough

you'll be able to do this within the ADI itself

so then, it's going to be really simple

Not that it is not simple using the Editor, as you are about to see

So here I am experimenting with the gallery

just changing up its look

but again, the main thing is how do I link to YouTube and Vimeo pages, right

Here, if I go I can actually put videos instead of images into this nice gallery

but those videos would have to be hosted on your website

and that's now what I wanted

you might want to do that

but actually, so the way to do it

you actually have to go to the Editor

You have to leave the ADI for good

you cannot go back to it

you have to use the Editor

So now that I am in the Editor

Actually, the first thing I am going to do

is just rearrange the order of the pages

Not that I could have done it before in the ADI

it's just that I had forgotten to do this

So now I am on the Tutorials page

I am just going to add here

go down to Video

and you can add videos from YouTube, Vimeo

So, it's pretty straight-forward

You just put in the link

and you can customize it more

I am going to drop another video

So once I have all these videos

the main challenge now is just to

arrange nicely the video windows

That's why I said I wanted to use a gallery, right

to save myself this step

and now I have to go do it myself

although you have these tools on the right side here

to properly align the windows

So this is a quick job but

I wish this functionality was supported in the gallery

So this is the Tutorials page now

So I have that part done

Now, I wanted to do a similar thing on the front page

just not show as many videos here

but it's the same idea

I am just going to use that little app

to add videos

and then relink them

to YouTube and Vimeo

and arranging them is the main job

I just want to have a few highlights, a few videos

and then have that button there

if you click it, it takes you to the Tutorials page

where you see all the tutorials

So this is the tutorials section on the Home page

So I am just going to change the background

just wanted to make it different from the next section

So this is how the website looks now

Home page, Blog page

Tutorials

So as a visual artist, I am sure your going to have

a lot of great shots to show off

so this design really suits visual artists

So now I am just going to click Publish

and the website is live It is as easy as that

Now there would be an extra step if I wanted to use

my own proper domain

but otherwise that's all it takes to publish a website

For all the details check out Wix.com

The main decision is whether you're going to use

your own domain name or whether you want to use

the domain name from Wix

Because there would be cost if you want your own domain

which I would suggest getting for sure

So on the Wix website you can see the different paid plans

and what you exactly get

But even just the free version

gives you all the functionality you saw me use in this video for this website

Now, here I am going to show you another way to create a gallery of videos

that are hosted on other websites like YouTube and Vimeo

and here I am using this app Wix Video

You do have to use the Editor for it, not the ADI

although I am hearing that the ADI will support this functionality soon

Basically, this is another way to create like a Tutorials page

where you are sharing videos

and they are all nicely arranged on one page

So there is not much to using this app

You just

You just drop it onto your page

You just resize it

which is really easy here

So now I am just going to go here

to Manage Videos and

link to our YouTube and Vimeo videos

So it's really quick to go add videos

as long as you have links readily available

then you can very quickly add a whole bunch of videos

Now the way the videos are organized is as a channel

You can see some of the options here

So you can actually charge people for this content

or make it just free

Here you can change how many videos show up

at the bottom of the video player

Here I am just setting up the channel just giving it a name and

You can connect your PayPal account so that

if you do make your videos payable

the money goes straight to your PayPal account

Now one thing that I did not realize at first

is that when you click one of those smaller windows

the video doesn't play in there

the video player is only at the top

Here I go full screen on the video

Finally, I decided to change up

the videos that I chose for this second version of the Tutorials page

I am just going to pick some of our more popular videos

So now I've got two channels

Quickly, I am just going to reorder the videos

And now when I go to this new page

which I just renamed to Channel

I just go quickly it and tell it that

I want to show a different channel or group of videos

So this is the live website

This is how the website looks right now

So I really like this Wix Video app

it makes things easy

Plus it provides additional functionality like

for example, monetizing videos which is

which a big thing

So this is the final website

Here you can see the Home page

the Blog page

This is the Tutorials page that I used the Editor for

and here I had to set up the layout myself

Now here is the page the Channel page

that uses the Wix audio app No, the Wix Video app

So that's another way

And then again for the Wix Video app

you do need to use the Editor

And again the About Me and Contact page

Basically, the Contact page and the Channel, the Tutorials page

in our case would be the most important pages

because Tutorials and the Channel page is where

you show off your video film content

Here I am just showing that the website

links to our social accounts

and yeah, that's a very modern, clean website

that took less than 3 hours to set up

and has all the functionality

you need at the start

Now, yeah, down the line

you might add other great features like monetizing

things like that but

It's really impressive what you can achieve

in a couple of hours

So hopefully you guys are now convinced

that building a website is easy

As you saw, there is no coding skills necessary

Yeah

And for me, the process was intuitive

and it was fun to actually play with different design choices

Yeah The most important thing

at the end of the day you end up with a

professional and modern-looking website, right?

That also has a functionality that

serves your business and career purposes

Yeah

which is very important

So definitely, if you guys don't have a website

Don't delay Get on it

Also, check out our website

the one that you just saw us build

It's a live website

There is a link to it in the description of the video

and as always for any more information

things like that

if you just want to find out about some of the other

things we're doing as always

all the links and everything

are in the description of this video

So, anyways that's it

Hopefully, you guys enjoyed this video

and we'll see you next time

See you soon

Social Media Sites - How to select the best Social Media Platforms for your Pet Business - Duration: 6:48.

Hi, I'm Tricia Clements, Chief Fur Wrangler,

with MuttButs.com. I am a social media

contact creator for pet businesses.

In this video I'm going to show you how

to select the best social media platform

for your pet business and make sure you

stay tuned to the end because I'm going

to have a link for a download for social

media platform checklist. So you want to

make sure you don't try to overload

yourself and use every single social

media platform that's out there because

the sheer number of platforms is really

overwhelming and if you try to get on

every single one

it's going to be overwhelming and that

could really harm your social media

strategy so the best thing is to try to

pick at least two platforms and stick

with those platforms and do them really

well. You want to select a social media

platform that your current and potential

customers are on and using and the best

way to determine that is too well ask

them. You can do a survey you can include

that in your e-mail newsletter that you

send out you can also include that in

your check out as a survey and that is

something that can be done by brick and

mortar stores and online stores. Give

them incentive to answer your survey.

Maybe do a gift card, gift basket or

something

the best thing about gift cards is that

means that the winner is definitely

going to be coming in and buying things

and last time I had a gift card I

definitely spent more than the gift card

was for. So you're getting them in store

getting them in front of your services

and your products. The first platform that

i really recommend is of course Facebook

so there are 1.18 billion daily active

users on Facebook and that is something

that really because there's that many

people on there that you really should

have your business Facebook page setup

to get in front of all of those customers

and potential customers. While

Facebook maybe a little bit of a

no-brainer thinking of it

the one thing you do need to keep in

mind and I know I say this a lot but

they do have Facebook Live there

livestreaming app on their for Facebook so make sure

you take advantage of that. Facebook has

said that they are bumping up the

Facebook Live in the News Feed so that

is another incentive you're going to get

in front of more of your customers and

potential customers by using that

feature. Instagram is the second

platform that I really recommend for pet

businesses and that is because there

are over 600 million Instagram users and

over half of them are on their daily.

Yep! myself included.

The other thing is that

Instagram has jumped onto the trend of

video and livestream with using

Boomerang and also Instagram Stories so

make sure that you are using those

features as well while you're using

Instagram. Don't forget

Facebook ownes Instagram so I would

expect to see a whole lot more features

coming out in the near future. I really

believe in 2017 that Instagram is going

to take off specifically for the pet

industry because what parent doesn't

like sharing pictures and short video

clips of their pets and also seeing

other pictures and videos of other pets?

It's something that people really

like and connect with so I would expect

that Instagram especially in the pet

industry is really going to take off so

make sure that you are in on that and

make sure that you get your Instagram

setup and that you are posting to it

daily. While Facebook and Instagram are

really two of the must haves for pet

businesses there are a lot of other

social media platforms out there that

you may want to consider. Of course there

is Periscope, Twitter, you have

Pinterest, YouTube and Snapchat,

there are just so many platforms out

there. There's really no right or

wrong answer

the main thing that you need to think

about is where are your customers and

that is really going to determine where

your best social media platform is.

I want to take a moment to talk a little

bit more about YouTube. Did you know that

YouTube is owned by Google? That's why a

lot of times

when you do a search on Google the first

result or two is going to be a YouTube

video and that is because they want

people to watch their YouTube videos.

Like I said before video is really

taking over the internet you need to be

making sure that you are creating your

videos and also livestreaming. If

you have any questions about that,

remember that's my specialty. I will put

my contact information in the

description below so that you can

contact me with any questions you have.

Now I have a bonus tip for you. Now when

you're using your social media platforms

make sure you are using them and

collecting email addresses from your

customers and potential customers.

The reason for this is because no matter

how successful you are on a specific

social media platform you don't own

those platforms but your email list that

you own. You want to be collecting

those email addresses and the reason is

because statistics show that in sales

it takes between the 5th and the 12th

contact with a customer before they make

a purchase. You want to make sure that

you're using those emails as well and

using them consistently. So it depends if

you are going to do it weekly or monthly

make sure you're consistently getting

your name in front of your customers and

giving them good content. Also if

sometimes you look there and you notice

that someone may not be opening the

emails while you are still getting your

name in front of them they are seeing

you come in so while they may not be

interested today or next week maybe in a

week or two or a month or two they're

going to remember you because they've

seen your name in their inbox so make

sure you collect those email addresses.

Now that you know how to select the best

social media platforms for your pet

business if you need a little bit of

help organizing it i have a FREE social

media checklist and it is in the

description below you can click on the

link and download it now.

Make sure you tell me in the

comments what your favorite social media

platform is. If you liked this video hit

the like button also share it with your

friends

subscribe. I'm Tricia Clements, Chief Fur

Wrangler with MuttButs.com. Thanks for

watching and I'll see you in the next video.

Người Tây biết gì về Tết? - Duration: 5:09.

Happy New Year!

We all know Tet is on its way,

but I'm curious about something:

do all the Western tourists in Vietnam during this special time of year know anything about it?

I'm going to head out to the street in a moment to find out.

I'm going to ask them a few basic questions about Tet,

and about a few characteristic items related to it.

For example, bánh chưng,

lì xì,

and these two types of tree.

All right, let's go.

And where are you from?

From Belgium.

Australia.

Brisbane, Australia.

Argentina.

From the United States.

Sweden.

From Canada.

Canada.

Originally from England.

From England.

So, I want to ask you about the Tet holiday, which is coming about in about two weeks here in Vietnam.

Do you know anything about the holiday?

Oh, very little, I know it's the new year.

I thought it was something to do with the new year.

Never heard of it.

Never heard of it.

It's the new year festival.

Based on the Chinese calendar, I think.

Do you know about how long the festival is?

Yeah, it's kind of . . .

three, four days, I think.

I read it was about three days.

I thought three days.

Three or four days, no? Something like that.

It could be, like, a week or so. I don't know.

Well, it's one week, I mean, the Vietnamese government have said it's one week.

So you know that every year in the lunar calendar—every year has an animal associated with it.

So do you happen to know, the year we're in right now is what animal,

and the new year in a couple weeks is going to be what animal?

-That's a good question. -I'm going to guess rooster, because I've seen a lot of them around.

The new year is the rooster, because I've seen a lot of golden roosters on sale.

Rooster.

I think the rabbit this year.

No.

This year I know is the rooster.

Chicken, yeah.

Yes, you got it.

So let me show you a few things related to Tet and see if you have any idea what they are.

Do you know what this thing is?

Yeah, it's a . . .

"banh nhung," but I'm not sure about the pronunciation.

I've seen it before. I don't know what it is, though.

Can I guess?

Sure, go for it.

Is it a gift to give to the family, or . . . ?

Rice?

Rice.

Sticky rice.

Green beans?

Yes.

And there's one more ingredient.

One more ingredient!

It's pork, maybe.

Say it louder.

Pork!

Yes!

Rice,

and green beans,

and some pork.

What do you think, does it look good?

Not overly.

What do you think, does it look like something you'd want to try?

Not particularly.

Yeah, and the name is "bánh chưng."

Have you got any idea what this might be?

It's a card?

Can you guess what's inside?

Probably money.

Is it for money?

Money?

Money.

Money or well wishes or . . .

Oh yeah, they give it as gifts to people.

It's good luck, isn't it, to pass on money in a red envelope.

I used to get these when I was a kid.

My dad has a lot of Asian business partners, and they used to give these to me.

-Have you seen any trees like this around? -No, I haven't.

Have you seen any trees like this around?

No.

No? Or like this?

Yes, I've seen them.

I've seen a couple of the pink ones being carried on the backs of motorbikes.

But I saw some guy on a motorbike carrying a big one of those.

This is a pear tree, I think . . .

It's actually a peach tree.

This one I have . . . I'm not sure about the name.

Yeah, this one, actually I don't know the name in English.

They call it—in Vietnamese it's "cây mai."

It's like a . . .

New Year Tree?

Like a . . .

Oriental Christmas Tree, like something . . .

Do you speak any Vietnamese?

Not much. "Chúc mừng năm mới!"

Okay, one more thing that I want to ask you:

Do you want me to teach you how to say "Happy New Year" in Vietnamese?

Yes.

Okay.

The first two words are "chúc mừng."

"Chúc mừng năm mới!"

Man, this guy's good.

Okay, I came up here wanting to see how much Westerners know about Tet.

Turns out they know quite a bit.

And I also want to wish all of you a healthy, lucky, and successful new year.

See ya.

Hey, everbody.

I wanted to let you know that my channel has two shirt designs for the new year.

They both say, "Don't be a chicken in the Year of the Chicken."

You guys remember what "chicken" means in English, right?

It means someone who's so cowardly it's pathetic.

So I hope this shirt will bring you bravery and strength in the Year of the Chicken.

You can buy one at printstyle.vn/danhauer.

I want to thank my girlfriend for designing these shirts,

and for driving me up to Hoan Kiem Lake,

and filming me while I interviewed people.

Next, I want to thank Pablo Yang for providing this background music.

You can follow his page at facebook.com/pblyng.

Third, I want to thank the people who agreed to appear in this video.

And finally, I want to thank all of you for watching.

Happy New Year!

Japanese Slang! Words I've learned while studying in Beauty School - Duration: 5:48.

yo

Natalia Natchan here

so you guys...

are you enjoying the new year?

I told myself I'd eat healthier in the new year but.....

I'm not.

Are you all studying seriously?

I am SO serious

I decided I will only go drinking on the weekends.

and that I'm going to start studying seriously.

Have you all decided anything to do in the new year?

let me know in the comments!

and so I was thinking awhile ago

so you all know

I'm going to a beauty school.

beauty school actually

and I think a lot of the girls attending with me have actually just graduated from high school.

and I thought if I enter into this school I'll be able to learn a lot more Japanese.

but actually. I haven't learned shit.

Everybody around me has just graduated.

so they use a lot of slang.

so I've actually become quite knowledgable on the subject.

So today I want to introduce the words I've learned while going to a beauty school.

muzu.

muzu

muzu~i!

isn't spanish muzui?

the word muzui.

this is actually just the word "muzukashii" (difficult) being shortened.

why do ya'll have to make the words shorter?

when we do makeup this word is used a lot

so that's why I learned it

especially drawing eyeliner

fucking muzui!

I have work after this? darui/

that hairstyle is so darui

how lame. darui!

wasn't darui actually osaka slang?

like tsukareta, or shindoi (both meaning tired)

am i wrong?

i guess its similiar

i guess people used it when they were tired

but I think people use it instead of yabai now

when did they use it....

I can't really remember!

that hairstyle is darui.

am i right?

so i actually don't get it so i don't use it

but i remember that word too

omg I forgot to bring my false lashes!

missuta!

i forgot I have work on that day!

missuta!

today is makeup?

I thought it was hair class and I brought my hair stuff.

missuta!

again, an english word where you just add "tta" or "ru"

like gugutteru (google it)

this one is miss shita (i messed up/made a mistake)

missuta!

this is pretty funny

for people that aren't fluent in japanese this is a convinient word.

instead of "shippai shita" (i missed upp)

did you see their new member?

he's so kami!

oh! I forgot!

you brought it for me? so kami!

you'll do my makeup?

thank youuuu kami

yepppp

this word is

the first time I heard it

I didn't really understand why people were saying "kami" (god) about everything

When I think about it now, I kind of get it

it's like saying "yabai"

apparently people used to say "kamitteru"

but the school I'm going to now, everybody just says "kami"

kami~

it's pretty funny

But when I say it I sound dumb so I don't say it.

wanchan? like the word for dog?

i don't get it

at least i thought so

but apparently it's like "one chance"

but the meaning is a bit different from saying "one chance" in english

it's hard to understand

it WAShard to understand

but recently everyone is using it instead of a normal reply

i have, one chance

and so.. those are the words!

I'm kind of poking fun, but I'm also glad that I can learn these words too.

of course, it's some kind of words I won't be learning in language school

so when there are a bunch of japanese people around me

i learn the japanese that most japanese people speak

I'm happy about that

so you guys,

if you can think of any other newer words

I want to know them!

so please tell me

words kids are using, and when i should use them!

and what they mean!

let me know!

pretty please!

Turkey Trapping, Tagging, and Research - Texas Parks and Wildlife [Official] - Duration: 5:29.

- I am spreading what amounts to chicken scratch.

- NARRATOR: Bret Collier is trying to tempt some turkey....

- We'll have birds out here probably tomorrow.

- NARRATOR: ...he's setting out breakfast and setting up a trap,

all to learn more about the birds.

- BRET: We bait up an area and we set up a trail camera.

We set up a big net, and wait and see if the birds

are coming to the bait.

[winch gears clicking]

- NARRATOR: Fortunately, Bret has some help.

- BRET: One, two, three...

- There's a lot of different organizations

that are all pitching in.

Texas A&M, you have Parks and Wildlife, ranch personnel.

- You could not find a better place to have a

collaborative relationship between a university,

a state agency, and a private landowner than right here

where we are in Duval County.

I'm in, all those...

- NARRATOR: This high-tech turkey work is taking place

on the Temple Ranch, two hours south of San Antonio.

Being open to research is just one way the ranch works to

enhance turkey habitat.

- The last few years we've had some pretty rough droughts

here in South Texas and we've lost I'd say up

to 50 to 70% of our hackberries, which is the main roost tree

here in this part of South Texas for turkeys.

So what we're trying to do, we're putting up some artificial

roosts in place of the hackberries that have died

due to drought and they're really getting some good use

out of them.

[tractor passing]

- NARRATOR: More traditional improvements, like brush

management and the use of prescribed fire,

have also helped wildlife here.

But fully understanding what Rio Grande turkey need

requires being aware of their every move.

For Bret and crew, that means some very early workdays,

in this high-rise office of sorts.

- BRET: We get up about 4:45 in the morning, make sure that

everything's working, and then we wait on the birds to come in.

Wow.

That's a good number of hens.

Twenty-five or 30 in sight right now, and there's a

flock of about 15 males.

Look at that.

Our primary focus is to look at the habitat use of Rio Grande

wild turkeys in South Texas.

[turkey gobbles]

- JUSTIN: There's a lot that goes into it but it only

takes just a couple of seconds to happen.

[turkey gobbles]

- BRET: Are the deer gone? I can't see...

When the net goes off our primary goal is always

the safety of the bird.

[net releases]

Drop! Drop! Drop! Drop!

- JUSTIN: It's pretty exciting when that net drops.

- BRET: Any birds on the edge -- back corner!

It is very fast and furious.

Roll 'em up underneath if you need to!

- ROBERT: We try and do it as fast as we can,

and reduce stress on the birds.

- BRET: What took you guys so long?

- ROBERT: It's quite a rodeo sometimes.

[banjo music]

[banjo music]

- BRET: Good work, everyone.

We're going to leg band about 10 of them, maybe 12,

and then transmitter the rest.

[box closes]

[rummaging for pliers]

- KYLE MELTON: Putting leg bands on them, putting radio collars

on them, or backpacks in this case.

- BRET: Go ahead and grab one more...

We put a backpack transmitter on them that uh we can use to

follow the birds around.

And currently we've developed some that are using

GPS technology.

- KYLE: Frequency number 151-340.

- BRET: You can use that information to identify habitat.

[transmitter beeping]

- NARRATOR: Traditional tracking technology only allows locating

an animal when a biologist is available to go look for it.

- KYLE: The transmitter emits a beep.

We can receive that beep.

We can hone in on an individual and figure out where it's at

and triangulate and determine what kind of habitat types

they're located in.

Just down the road here.

- NARRATOR: But this requires manpower and does risk

disturbing the birds.

- KYLE: He's on the move.

We're pushing him.

- NARRATOR: Newer GPS technology allows much more location data

to be collected unobtrusively.

- It's not us going out once or twice a day

and saying well there's the bird at 10:00 in the morning

and there's the bird at 4:00 in the afternoon.

We can tell where they're going on their timeframe.

- BRET: We can map daily movements, seasonal movements,

we can identify the core areas the birds like to spend their

time in, um we can really do a lot of neat stuff, and to be

honest we're really probably just scratching the surface

with some of the things we could do with this type

of information.

- Now with this project we're learning where they like

to nest, where they like to roost, where they like

to raise broods.

[turkey flapping]

It's just really helping us out to where we need to work on

certain spots on the ranch.

- BRET: Let her loose.

- NARRATOR: The research is ongoing, but the findings are

already shedding new light on what turkey need to succeed.

- ROBERT: We're happy with how it's going.

[turkey flapping]

- JASON: We're getting better at answering the question

'What do these landowners need to do to really provide

quality habitat?'

I think whenever we're done here in a couple of years

we'll have something really valuable for the people of

South Texas and hopefully Texas in general.

2015-2017 F-150 Barricade Raptor Style Front Bumper Review & Install - Duration: 2:51.

Hey, what's going on guys?

Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today, I'm bringing you a detailed review of the Barricade Raptor-Style Front Bumper

fitting all 2015 and newer F-150s.

So in this video, I'll be going over the functionality and styling you can expect out of the Raptor-Style

Front Bumper from Barricade, as well as the materials and construction.

I'll even take you through the installation which I'll tell you upfront, will get a solid

one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

So, let's jump right into it.

The Barricade Raptor-Style Front Bumper will be for all 2015 and newer F-150 owners looking

to capture the aggressive styling of one of the toughest trucks on the market today, the

Ford Raptor, by transforming the front end of their rig to look like the 2017 SVT model.

And we all know the Ford Raptor is one tough beast.

It's definitely considered one of the toughest and most aggressive F-150s and trucks in general

on the market today.

Especially, that 2017 SVT Raptor which is yet to be released at the time of this video.

Now with that in mind, this bumper here can transform the front end to your F-150 to go

from that stock styling to the styling inspired by the 2017 SVT Aggression that is guaranteed

to turn some heads.

And even confuse people into thinking you're the owner of that 2017 SVT.

Now in addition to the Barricade Front Bumper being a tough styling, it's also tough in

construction.

You can expect a heavy-duty 5/23's in steel-plating that was cold-formed into shape for strength

and durability for more functionality.

And when it was all said and done from Barricade, they also completed it in a textured charcoal

gray powder coating for aggressive good looks as well as some corrosion resistance and a

long-lasting lifetime.

Expect price wise to be spending just about $800.

Now when compared to some of the other options out there that range up to $1,500, this is

definitely not too bad.

Overall, you're definitely getting a very good high-quality materials with a steel plating,

a direct bolt-on installation, and of course, you get that three-year warranty directly

from Barricade for some peace of mind.

Now speaking of that direct bolt-on installation, this one will bolt up using a couple of basic

hand tools like a ratchet and a simple socket set.

But one thing I will recommend is while taking about two hours in the driveway at home, having

a helping hand on deck, simply because while this isn't the heaviest bumper in the world,

it will be a tough task trying to prop it up while doing some ratchet work.

The first thing you'll need to do is remove your factory front bumper.

Of course, set that aside and you'll be reusing the hardware available there.

And once you get that factory front bumper off, you'll be using a helping hand to get

this one into place and reuse that factory hardware, to bolt it all up.

Like I said, direct bolt on installation.

You won't even need any other hardware to get this one done, simply with a ratchet and

a socket set.

Now of course, like I said, about two hours in the driveway at home.

I'm definitely giving this one a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

Well, guys, just to wrap things up here.

If you're the owner of a 2015 or newer F-150 and you're looking for a way to pick up the

SVT styling aggression of the Ford Raptor without breaking the bank, you might wanna

check out the Barricade Raptor Style Front Bumper available right here at americanmuscle.com.

Why India Suddenly Banned Its Own Money - Duration: 3:05.

What would you do if one day, most of your cash was suddenly worthless?

In India, millions were shocked when on November 8th, 2016, the government placed an immediate

ban on the 500 and 1,000 rupee notes, or about $7 and $15 dollars.

These two bills account for the vast majority of currency in India - an economy where some

98 percent of transactions are conducted in cash.

Citizens were only given 50 days to exchange these bills for new notes, but with a limit

on the amount they could withdraw from the bank.

The country went into complete panic mode.

Indians rushed to exchange their newly defunct bills at ATMs or spend them at the few businesses

that were still temporarily accepting the old denominations.

Banks were chaotic, with, in some cases, hundreds of people in line for a single ATM.

Many businesses ran out of small denominations, unable to even give change.

This devaluation of currency was done to address a major problem in the Indian economy: untaxed

and unaccounted for cash, not kept in banks, called "black money".

This illicit cash is often acquired illegally, through corruption, bribery or kickbacks,

without having to report its use to the government.

This Shadow Economy is extremely pervasive - accounting for an up to a quarter of India's

GDP.

Much of this cash is in the form of hoarded 500 and 1,000 rupee notes - stuffed in mattresses

or laundered in foreign bank accounts where it can't be taxed.

Exchanges with illicit money short the government billions of dollars in taxes every year.

It also exacerbates inequality as wealthier citizens are able to evade taxes and hold

onto more money.

Under the demonetization rules, anyone seeking to exchange more than 250,000 rupees, or about

$3,500 dollars, must explain why they are holding onto so much cash, or face a penalty.

The hope was that all unaccounted for money would dissolve, the economy would reset, and

those who'd skirted the law with "black money" would be punished.

So as not to lose millions, many wealthier Indians searched for loopholes in the system.

Some who had gone over their limit have reportedly paid poorer citizens to hold on to bundles

of cash in their accounts and return at later date.

Others made large purchases of travel tickets, one of the few items available for purchase,

hoping to refund them past the December 30th deadline.

Many gave up altogether and donated huge sums of soon-to-be worthless bills to charity,

or threw them away entirely.

But demonetization actually ended up hurting many of the people it was intended to help.

Many poorer Indians do not have bank accounts, and were unable to exchange their cash due

to currency shortages.

In a country where cash rules everything and illicit money is practically mainstream, government

intervention may have done more harm than good.

Demonetization has had a profound effect on India's population, however because the

Rupee is so weak, the scheme has had little effect on the global economy.

So, what are the world's strongest currencies?

Find out right here.

Currencies that are internationally trusted are often referred to as hard currencies.

The U.S. dollar, the euro, the British pound, the Japanese yen, all fall into this category

because again, the governments and economies that back them are seen as strong and stable.

4 Vietnam's national dog breeds - Duration: 3:41.

According to research, wild dogs in nature had been domesticated by Vietnamese inhabitants for about 6000 years.

And they play an important role in Vietnamese cultural, spiritual and daily lives.

Among them, 4 rare breeds with outstanding qualities are considered "national dogs"

They are Bac Ha dogs, Lai dogs (Indochina dingo), H'mong bobtail dogs and Phu Quoc dogs.

Bac Ha dogs are native hounds mainly living in Bac Ha, Lao Cai province.

They are typically fuzzy, tall. Some even have manes.

They have a variety of fur colors such as black, orange,

brindle, gray or black and white, some even are reddish.

Bac Ha dogs are clever, easy to be trained and organized.

Lai dogs (Indochina dingo) belong to a primitive breed.

Can be found in the midland and mountainous areas of Vietnam.

Typical ones usually are in orange and black fur.

Purebred dogs are white at legs like they're wearing socks, their tails are fuzzy and white at the end

They are quite clever and cruel. Ethnic inhabitants raise them as housekeepers or hounds.

H'mong bobtail dogs belong to an ancient native breed of an ethnic group called H'mong

in mountainous areas of northern Vietnam.

They have typical appearances of healthy, muscular bodies

With funny docked tails.

They have durable physical strengths

and can flexibly adapt to different conditions.

Because of their outstanding characteristics, they are selected to be trained as working dogs by Vietnam-Russia tropical center

Phu Quoc dogs have been well known as good hounds for hundreds of years.

They originate in Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang province.

They are easily distinguished from other breeds

By cowlicks, short and glossy fur, and webbed feet.

Some of their advantages are good physical strength

fast and flexible movements, abilities of climbing, jumping, swimming and co-operating in packs

These characteristics make Phu Quoc dogs become very powerful assistants for the hunters.

Thae Yong-ho claims there are many unknown N. Korean... - Duration: 2:29.

One of the most high-profile North Korean defectors to South Korea,.. Thae Yong-ho - a

former North Korean diplomat to London... says there are more North Korean defectors

currently in the South,... who used to be Pyongyang's diplomats.

And, there are many more seeking to defect.

Our Park Ji-won has more details.

Former North Korean deputy ambassador to London, Thae Yong-ho,...one of the most high-profile

North Korean defectors to date, said on Tuesday that there are many North Korean defectors

in the South,... who also used to be former diplomats and high-level officials.

During a seminar hosted by the Righteous Party at the South Korean National Assembly,...

the former senior North Korean official said that although he is the only North Korean

diplomat defector to have been exposed to the media, there is a considerable number

of other former diplomat defectors residing in the South.

Moreover, Thae said there are other former North Korean diplomats around the world,...

who are now waiting to be sent to South Korea.

So it should come as no surprise, according to Thae, that more defections from Pyongyang's

elite are expected in the coming years.

Thae said the current Kim Jong-un regime still finds it hard to establish its legitimacy

to the North Korean people,... and that the North is no longer a communist state, but

a slave society,... under the Kim family's rule.

Regarding effective North Korean policies,.. Thae stressed that internationally concerted

efforts and sanctions should be simultaneously maintained.

He also said more exchanges between the two Koreas,... and cooperation in private sectors

should be conducted,... adding that a separation between the North Korean regime and the North

Korean people is necessary.

And,... in terms of humanitarian and food assistance,... Thae emphasized that condition-attached

assistance would be effective,... saying the North Korean public should know the assistance

comes from the South.

He also warned that North Korea ultimately aims to eliminate the South with its nuclear

weapons,... and that Seoul should not prioritize the stances of other countries when it comes

to the THAAD deployment.

Thae Yong-ho defected to South Korea in August last year.

Since the defection in 1997of Hwang Jang-yop,... who masterminded North Korea's governing ideology,

Thae is by far the highest-ranking North Korean official to have defected to South Korea.

3 Reasons Why A Positive Attitude Matters More Than You Think - Duration: 6:35.

You're a little spicy today, you know that?

Yeah.

Spicy.

Hey, it's Marie Forleo and you are watching MarieTV, the place to be to create a business

and life you love.

Now, if you ever feel like you're missing out on some big secret to success that everybody

else knows but you, you are going to want to watch this one, let me tell you.

Alright, so a little story here.

A few years back I was driving to a lunch meeting in LA and there was a lot of traffic,

as usual, and not too much parking on the street so I pulled into a garage with a valet.

Now, what happened next was so unexpected.

I opened the door to hand over my keys and I got blasted by this guy with unconditional

love.

I've gotta tell you, this guy's energy was so off the charts.

He was Latino, probably like late 60s, and he was this total powerhouse of joy.

The way he greeted me was like he was picking up some lifelong friend at the airport and

he gently just helped me out of my car, he asked me about my day, and, get this, he was

genuinely interested in the answer.

And then he flashed this smile at me that was brighter than the California sun.

I'm not kidding, this man was one of the most enthusiastic souls that I have ever met

in my life.

Now, one of the things that struck me was that this was the valet guy.

And as somebody who's worked in the service industry for years, I know that these kind

of jobs, I mean, they can be challenging.

You're often dealing with a lot of cranky people, you're probably not making that

much money, and, honestly, it can feel thankless at times.

But this guy?

Oh my goodness.

The energy that he brought to his work, it was like he was this happy king and he was

welcoming you into his palace.

And the reason I wanted to share this story is because it is such a potent reminder of

one of the most underrated secrets to success there is.

It is not just about what you do, it's about how you do it.

You see, behavior alone is not enough.

The energy, the soul, the spirit that you infuse into your actions, it matters.

And, I mean, this applies to your work, it applies to your relationships, it applies

to everything.

You know, as Jim Carrey said, the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency

there is.

And I mean, you know this to be true, right?

There's such a huge difference between someone who just shows up and they kind of go through

the motions and, maybe even worse, they're like a walking complaint.

I mean, that creates a completely different result than somebody who shows up and like

they're full of warmth and enthusiasm.

Like, they actually want to be there.

And there are three reasons that I feel why getting this is so, so important.

Number one, your attitude is contagious.

You know, we human beings, we have mirror neurons in our brains that make our emotions

catchable.

Meaning your joy, your enthusiasm, all that stuff, it rubs off on people around you.

And so does a totally crappy attitude, kind of like germs.

Oh my God.

Somebody got joy all over me.

Sorry, Marie.

That was me.

You know what?

A little joy never hurt anybody.

So take responsibility for the energy you're putting out there, all right?

Number two, this moment makes your future moment.

So here's what this means.

How you do what you do impacts how people respond to you, and very often, the results

that you get.

So in the case of my very sweet valet, I was so grateful for his energy that I gave him

a very big tip, like probably 3 times the standard amount.

And let's be honest, that's how all of us can build momentum in this life, by wowing

other people and doing that with your genuine heart and your genuine caring and your attention

to detail.

And number three, you can make a difference in this world no matter what you do for a

living.

And really, really hear that.

You know, I get so many questions from people saying, "Gosh, I feel like what I do just

isn't that important."

Or, "Marie, you know what?

I want to find a way to make a bigger impact in the world.

What should I do?"

This is what you should do.

Don't just focus on what you're doing.

Give attention to how you're doing it.

Because you have countless opportunities every single day to change real people's lives

simply by choosing to.

Start infusing everything you do with some genuine love and enthusiasm and your humanity

and just watch the difference that it makes both for you and for everybody around you.

And if you need a reminder, remember this.

Your energy is contagious, so think about what you want people to catch from you.

Now I would love to hear from you, and we've got a two parter today.

So first up, what is a specific example of where how somebody did something really, really

wowed you?

And then second, what area of your life might completely shift if you focused more attention

on how you did it rather than just going through the motions?

Know what?

I know.

I know.

Yeah, I feel you.

Really?

Kick it.

You know what?

Done.

I Am CDC - Bill Murphy - Duration: 1:44.

I've been with CDC for 23 years.

I work at the National Institute for Occupational Safety

and Health in Cincinnati Ohio.

I am a research physicist and I do research in acoustics

and hearing loss, noise control, hearing protection devices,

anything that has to do with occupational hearing loss.

In 1992 when I was finishing my doctorate in physics

at Purdue University I received a request to apply

for a position here at NIOSH,

and it really is a great position

to of had an opportunity to be in for last 23 years

because I'm able to influence people through the work

that I do and through the research that I've conducted.

Some of the work that I have done

with NIOSH involves impulse noise.

These are noises that are produced by weapons going off

or things banging together that are very short and very loud,

and there are no current occupational standards

that really tell us how to measure and how

to protect people against them.

Our research at NIOSH has been now used by the Department

of Defense to protect soldiers and war fighters

against these high-level noises.

One of the things I love is the opportunity to do research

in the impulse noise lab.

We have the ability to create noises that are loud.

Not just a handclap, but the level of a gunshot,

(Sound of a gun shot)

and these gunshot noises are loud enough

that they can hurt your hearing immediately.

We want to be able to protect people so that

when they get done with their job they can go home

and hear their loved ones.

So I will show you how I end up doing this

using two different methods, actually

But I am going to show you how to do it with the Editor

That's how you will have to do this at this point

Now Wix has told me that soon enough

you'll be able to do this within the ADI itself

so then, it's going to be really simple

Not that it is not simple using the Editor, as you are about to see

So here I am experimenting with the gallery

just changing up its look

but again, the main thing is how do I link to YouTube and Vimeo pages, right

Here, if I go I can actually put videos instead of images into this nice gallery

but those videos would have to be hosted on your website

and that's now what I wanted

you might want to do that

but actually, so the way to do it

you actually have to go to the Editor

You have to leave the ADI for good

you cannot go back to it

you have to use the Editor

So now that I am in the Editor

Actually, the first thing I am going to do

is just rearrange the order of the pages

Not that I could have done it before in the ADI

it's just that I had forgotten to do this

So now I am on the Tutorials page

I am just going to add here

go down to Video

and you can add videos from YouTube, Vimeo

So, it's pretty straight-forward

You just put in the link

and you can customize it more

I am going to drop another video

So once I have all these videos

the main challenge now is just to

arrange nicely the video windows

That's why I said I wanted to use a gallery, right

to save myself this step

and now I have to go do it myself

although you have these tools on the right side here

to properly align the windows

So this is a quick job but

I wish this functionality was supported in the gallery

So this is the Tutorials page now

So I have that part done

Now, I wanted to do a similar thing on the front page

just not show as many videos here

but it's the same idea

I am just going to use that little app

to add videos

and then relink them

to YouTube and Vimeo

and arranging them is the main job

I just want to have a few highlights, a few videos

and then have that button there

if you click it, it takes you to the Tutorials page

where you see all the tutorials

So this is the tutorials section on the Home page

So I am just going to change the background

just wanted to make it different from the next section

So this is how the website looks now

Home page, Blog page

Tutorials

So as a visual artist, I am sure your going to have

a lot of great shots to show off

so this design really suits visual artists

So now I am just going to click Publish

and the website is live It is as easy as that

Now there would be an extra step if I wanted to use

my own proper domain

but otherwise that's all it takes to publish a website

For all the details check out Wix.com

The main decision is whether you're going to use

your own domain name or whether you want to use

the domain name from Wix

Because there would be cost if you want your own domain

which I would suggest getting for sure

So on the Wix website you can see the different paid plans

and what you exactly get

But even just the free version

gives you all the functionality you saw me use in this video for this website

Now, here I am going to show you another way to create a gallery of videos

that are hosted on other websites like YouTube and Vimeo

and here I am using this app Wix Video

You do have to use the Editor for it, not the ADI

although I am hearing that the ADI will support this functionality soon

Basically, this is another way to create like a Tutorials page

where you are sharing videos

and they are all nicely arranged on one page

So there is not much to using this app

You just

You just drop it onto your page

You just resize it

which is really easy here

So now I am just going to go here

to Manage Videos and

link to our YouTube and Vimeo videos

So it's really quick to go add videos

as long as you have links readily available

then you can very quickly add a whole bunch of videos

Now the way the videos are organized is as a channel

You can see some of the options here

So you can actually charge people for this content

or make it just free

Here you can change how many videos show up

at the bottom of the video player

Here I am just setting up the channel just giving it a name and

You can connect your PayPal account so that

if you do make your videos payable

the money goes straight to your PayPal account

Now one thing that I did not realize at first

is that when you click one of those smaller windows

the video doesn't play in there

the video player is only at the top

Here I go full screen on the video

Finally, I decided to change up

the videos that I chose for this second version of the Tutorials page

I am just going to pick some of our more popular videos

So now I've got two channels

Quickly, I am just going to reorder the videos

And now when I go to this new page

which I just renamed to Channel

I just go quickly it and tell it that

I want to show a different channel or group of videos

So this is the live website

This is how the website looks right now

So I really like this Wix Video app

it makes things easy

Plus it provides additional functionality like

for example, monetizing videos which is

which a big thing

So this is the final website

Here you can see the Home page

the Blog page

This is the Tutorials page that I used the Editor for

and here I had to set up the layout myself

Now here is the page the Channel page

that uses the Wix audio app No, the Wix Video app

So that's another way

And then again for the Wix Video app

you do need to use the Editor

And again the About Me and Contact page

Basically, the Contact page and the Channel, the Tutorials page

in our case would be the most important pages

because Tutorials and the Channel page is where

you show off your video film content

Here I am just showing that the website

links to our social accounts

and yeah, that's a very modern, clean website

that took less than 3 hours to set up

and has all the functionality

you need at the start

Now, yeah, down the line

you might add other great features like monetizing

things like that but

It's really impressive what you can achieve

in a couple of hours

So hopefully you guys are now convinced

that building a website is easy

As you saw, there is no coding skills necessary

Yeah

And for me, the process was intuitive

and it was fun to actually play with different design choices

Yeah The most important thing

at the end of the day you end up with a

professional and modern-looking website, right?

That also has a functionality that

serves your business and career purposes

Yeah

which is very important

So definitely, if you guys don't have a website

Don't delay Get on it

Also, check out our website

the one that you just saw us build

It's a live website

There is a link to it in the description of the video

and as always for any more information

things like that

if you just want to find out about some of the other

things we're doing as always

all the links and everything

are in the description of this video

So, anyways that's it

Hopefully, you guys enjoyed this video

and we'll see you next time

See you soon

Jackets Required TV Presents: Episode 57 The Best Skirt Cut for Women this Spring - Duration: 1:41.

Hey ladies are you ready to put your best forward this Spring?

In this week's episode of Jackets Required we're talking about the best skirt or dress

cut to make you look your best this Spring.

The most flattering and most universally flattering cut is the classic A Line.

An A line skirt is cut to be fitted at the hips and gradually become wider towards the

hem.

It gets its' name from resembling the capital letter A in shape.

The A Line cut can be worn in a variety of lengths, although shorter, '60s inspired

styles are on-trend this season.

Remember, if you are over 40 though your skirts should be around knee length, as discussed

in episode 52.

In cooler weather, for our snowbirds or northern friends, A-line skirts in heavier fabrics,

leather or suede, worn with opaque tights and pumps give a sporty, gamine look.

Longer lengths require softer fabrics that drape – otherwise the A-line cut becomes

a bit of a lampshade and well, that's just NOT flattering.

Trust your tailor to help you determine the perfect length for your body type.

Look and feel great this Spring and all year with clothing that is made to fit and flatter

you.

Be sure to Subscribe to the Jacket's Required You Tube channel and Facebook page to be notified

when new episodes are available, And to see behind the scenes pictures and

clips.

Share with your stylish, and style-challenged friends, and be sure to let me know if you

have a specific question or topic you'd like to see in the series.

Thanks for watching.

See you next week.

Remember, looking good is between you and your tailor…

Ciao
