Welcome back to Pike Fight.
This is the pike fishing competition where Söder Sportfiske challenges four other legendary brands.
We are still fishing in Mälaren, and this is the second half of day two.
At the end of today we'll hand out the second round of points
This went down the last episode.
Team Westin had a crazy morning.
In the lead halfway trough with an amazing 106 centimeter pike, but it's still an even race.
Mälaren seems to be on a good mood today! Lots, and big fish!
Challengers Söder Sportfiske, right now on a second place.
Henrik and Nicklas had a nice start of the day but still need those big top fish to take back the lead.
Trailing Söder, team ABU, had a rough day in Trosa but seem to have found the recipe for Mälaren.
398 centimeters in the bag for the boys, and a top one at 101 centimeters. Great start!
If they keep rolling like this, they'll be hard to beat!
And I lost it!
Last but not least, Kings of Trosa.
Team Storm, right now at a last place and has been somewhat unlucky so far today.
We'll see if the afternoon holds better fortune for them.

This is Pike Fight 2016.
Let's get it on!
We'll try to go fast, fast, fast.
And they usually get hooked when fishing fast.
Westin has been fishing small baits.
Westin Swim is only 12 centimeters.
They take that bait in one bite.
They must fish that slowly?
If we end up with lots of small fish around us, we better just leave immediately.
80 fish is not enough anymore. We need to upgrade to 90+ right now to even stand a chance.
The others will increase their scores.
But I still believe there will be bigger fish around those small ones.
Seems like we can't agree on anything today.
Unlike yesterday when all went Storm's way, they'll now have to agree on a plan to take down the other teams.
Team Westin on the other hand has a very comfortable seat right now.
Let's hear what they plan for the afternoon!
We'll probably keep doing what we did for another hour.
Later we'll switch tactics and go to other kinds of spots.
It's been fun!
This result, so far it's pretty much what we expected.
There's always someone who find those big fish here in Mälaren.
Quite nice scores they have over all.
Westin with 460 centimeters already at lunch.
We quickly realized that when it goes down, it goes down fast.
You get a 100 centimeter fish and an 85 just moments later.
You might catch three 100+ fish fast sometimes too.
Just keep smashing!
We've had a really simple tactic today, big swim baits over the weed beds.
And that's how we've caught the biggest fish.
And we'll keep doing what we've done.
That seems to work for us.
What ace do you have up your sleeve Henke?
We have tons of aces.
Pressure is on you Henke, you're the captain.
I'm only the casting cannon.
We'll fish close to the shore, try to find an 85+ fish.
Just to advance 10 centimeters or so.
And then we've got to go all in on big fish.
Not just because we want to win today. We need to improve our Big Five.
If we're unlucky with the conditions tomorrow with no wind and sunny we'll be toast.
All teams seems to have their plans all panned out.
There will without doubt be a very interesting finish of day two since we've seen so many big fish so far.
Now we'll hunt down the rest of the teams.

Good amounts of weed on top of the cay.

This day can take a quick turn for the right. Three-four 90+ fish and we're back in the game.
We needed to see that one, confidence boost.
I'm retrieving fast, no spin stops no nothing.

Now I'll take my third big one today, and win this.
ABU increases their total with 32 centimeters and passes Söder Sportfiske.
Another great fish for Big Five and that gives them a very nice spot in this side competition.
Westin, still ahead and won't have anyone breathing down their neck just yet.
Most important is the wind.
Southbound preferably.
Overcast on top of that is even better.
But if you get hard winds, the water can get murky fast.
Some spots get worse, because of wind and murky water.
Some spots benefit from the movement in the water.
Thomas, grab this one.
That bait can be rocking some times.
Superior bait at times.
When all else fail, this one works.
We were in Germany a couple of years ago, had got a couple of big ones and then it all went calm.
And we tried this one.
And caught one immediately at 10,5 kilos.
A little bit more murky water here.
That one has been really rocking it here.
90 plus fish.
Not even that.
Missed one there.

You need a strike or two to believe in the spot.
Spinner baits has been really hot today. All our biggest on that kind of bait.
Just keep grinding that.

We had a crazy morning. And now we're going for big fish, since that is what we need.
Henke just missed what we believe was a really big fish.
Gets though.
We really needed that one.
Right now we'll drift over this weed bed.
Hook a fish or two.
Have a laugh and hopefully up our total a couple of centimeters.
And then we'll go to a big fish place for two hours.
But we really need a meter long fish.
Not only for todays score but also Big Five.
We're pretty certain the pike will keep biting all day today.
We've missed out with our tactic today so the other boats will probably have great fishing now.

Storm is also fishing in a productive area and are slowly working their way up.
Söder Sportfiske has been having few rough hours and just switched their tactics.
It's now time to find those huge pike.

I modified the bait with a new jig head and put in a rattle chamber, tried to copy Tobbe's set up.
And, what the heck. Here's the result.

They have passed Westin, a task that seemed impossible just a couple of hours ago.
Another pike to their Big Five, and this makes it almost unbearably exciting.
That nickel i lost five years ago.

This is a 90+ fish every day of the week.

I sincerely believed that one was 98 centimeters.
90 plus easily.
When we had it in the net it shrunk.
Honestly I still believed it was bigger, even in the net.
But most importantly, it was an upgrade.
This is so different from ordinary fishing.

This pike is 92 centimeters, and unknowingly they just passed ABU Garcia with just one centimeter.
This will be an epic fight between ABU and Westin all the way to the end.
Only 90 minutes left of day two now...
I feel like we did really good today Tobbe.
Well, this was our plan all the way.
But, now Ronny caught that big one, so we need at least one more big fish.
But iv'e got two more nice spots.
In Söder Sportfiske's boat, frustration is about to take over after several missed fish.
They're following and even taking the baits. But they're making a fool of us.
Why can't we just get three quick 95+ fish?

This is exactly what we planned for. Both numbers and size.
We even hoped for less.

Because this fishing trip we've had today, is great for being here.
The boys from ABU seem happy, the question is what their total ended up at?
Team Westin reports a total of 468 centimeter, meaning twelve centimeters behind team Söder Sportfiske,
who's got the craziest finish ever.
Incredible to say the least.
