The Story of Atiesh [Hearthstone Lore] - Duration: 6:26.
Hello everyone!
I've counted the votes and the card you wanted me to talk about most is Atiesh, greatstaff
of the guardian.
"Here, borrow my staff; it controls the portals.
Just don't scratch it."
let's begin shall we?!
As the name implies, Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian is the weapon used by the guardian.
The guardian is charged with keeping Azeroth safe and its origin goes back, way back to
the time where the mages of Dalaran were recklessly using their magic.
Their abuse inadvertently tore open rifts in reality and through one such rift, the
Nathrezim Kathra'natir clawed his way into Azeroth and found Dalaran ripe for upheaval.
They tried to fight back but found the dreadlord to be quite powerful so they came up with
the plan of pooling their power into 1 single being and have that person be their champion,
their guardian.
The first one to claim this title was Alodi empowered by the council of tirisfal, he was
able to overcome Kathrenatir save the day and keep the world safe.
Over time, the mantle of guardian was passed on and although it's unknown when they created
Atiesh, we do know that it too passed on from guardian to guardian.
That doesn't mean that guardians only atiesh, for example the guardian Aegwynn worked very
hard on creating Aluneth, another powerful weapon, but usually Atiesh was a lot more
reliable and allowed them to overcome great challenges.
Challenges like the avatar of Sargeras which Aegwynn together with Atiesh was able to defeat,
but there were plans and scemes in motion which nobody knew about.
The spirit of Sargeras nestled itself inside the guardian Aegwynn, twisting her mind and
turning her against the council.
She became so against them that she refused to hand over the powers of the guardian to
a successor apointed by the council and instead decided to have a child of her own and have
that child inherit her powers, her duty and of course her weapon.
What she didn't plan on passing on was the spirit of Sargeras who infitlrated the child
while it was still forming in her womb.
Now the dark leader of the Burning Legion had found the perfect instrument with which
to weaken the world of Azeroth.
The guardian, the main protection against the Legion was now in his hands and he twisted
Medivh's mind like he had done with his mother.
They made contact with the orcish warlock Gul'dan, created the dark portal and set
about the first Horde invasion of Azeroth.
Medivh's corruption would eventually be found out by people like his apprentice Khadgar,
his long time friend Anduin Lothar and his lover Garona Halforcen.
They confronted the corrupted guardian and killed him, but the invasion was already on
the way so after burrying his body next to Karazhan, they focused on defending the world
against the threat of the Horde.
This is where the fate of Atiesh becomes a little bit unclear since we have some conflicting
story and some retcons to deal with.
Following Medivh's death, his mother spend her time collecting her powers and used them
to resurrect her son, just the good side of him of course, an uncorrupted guardian.
We saw this Medivh during Warcraft 3 warning the world of the threat of the Legion, getting
the right people together and teach them that they no longer needed a guardian.
In his hands we see Atiesh and after completing his task, after the defeat of Archimonde,
he states that he'll take his place amongst the legends of the past and it's entirely
up for interpretation what that means, but it looks like he takes Atiesh with him.
That's one version, but then we also have the version in which players themselves were
able to obtain atiesh and wield it.
After the fall of Karazhan, after the corrupted Medivh was confronted, the Kirin Tor dispatched
an assembly of mages to search the tower and seize all items of importance for the purposes
ofresearch.
It was then that the fables staff was discovered and brought back to Dalaran.
What followed were a series of tragic events, leading to the death of every Kirin Tor mage
that came into contact with Atiesh.
You see, it was an artifact with sentience.
A sentience granted to it by Sargeras...
After the deaths, the council of Six decided that the best course of action was to seal
the staff behind impenetrable barriers of magic and appoint a watcher: A guardian of
the staff...That guardian would be Archmage Angela Dosantos who tells us this tale and
also explains that Atiesh was shattered when Archimonde destroyed Dalaran during Warcraft
3.
So this conflicts with what we see in Warcraft 3.
That's definitely Atiesh in Medivh's hands, but at the same time, the shattering does
seem to happen since the image of Medivh in the latest Karazhan dungeon says:
"Atiesh will shatter"
The splintered pieces were collected by adventurers, the base of Atiesh was reclaimed from C'thun
since it was left there by Brann Bronzebeard and the head of the staff was found in Kel'thuzad's
possession.
With all of the pieces reclaimed they then went into Stratholme to clense the staff and
slay the demon Atiesh but not even that is the final version of the story because we
also have Med'an in the comics.
Med'an is the son of Garona and Medivh and in the comics it was he who became the next
guardian, obtained Atiesh and used it to defeat Cho'gal and put a stop to their plans.
Last blizzcon they decided to retcon the events in the comics with Med'an so its up for
speculation how Atiesh was reformed and cleansed and how the hell it ended up in the hands
of Khadgar.
With warlords of Draenor, archmage Khadgar showed up to join the fight and all of a sudden
he had Atiesh in his hands.
No reason or explenation was given and a lot of people speculated on him possible being
the new guardian.
That's now been debunked, Khadgar has said several times that he doesn't want to be
the guardian, but he does fullfill a similar roll.
Like Medivh in warcraft 3, he went around to warn the world of the coming Legion invasion
and he's currently doing his very best to safe the world from the threat the legion,
wielding Atiesh as he goes.
"I prefer using the greatstaff Atiesh's raven form.
Nothing's worse than saddle sores.
Hopefully they'll clear up the story behind this weapon since with time it's become
quite a mess.
In Hearthstone it's the guardian Medivh who lends you the staff either during the
match with Malchazaar or later on if you play Medivh.

Tips for Running Heroes of the Storm in a low end computer - Duration: 5:59.
Heroes of the Storm is the Super Smash Brothers of PC Gaming… if Blizzard was Nintendo and
figthing games where MOBAs…
That is the worst analogy I have ever written, that does not even make any sense.
Here is an extra video on how to play this game on your low end computer.
So forget about shadows and modern directx features because we are making this game run.
This is the settings screen for Heroes of the Storm,we are going to start with the lowest
settings possible, but we are going to try and go lower.
Let's talk about configuration files for a moment.
The configuration file for Heroes of the Storm is located on your documents folder, Heroes
of the Storm, variables.txt
To begin, let's talk about resolution.
You can change the resolution of the fullscreen game with the width and height parameters
and the windowed resolution on windowheight, windowwidth.
In my experience testing in multiple computers the game really dislikes going under 720 for
fullscreen and 1024x729 in windowed.
Now, there are 2 interesting things to explore in this configuration file.
The first is GraphicsOptionShadowQuality which you can leave entire blank to disable shadows
in the game entirely.
You can also experiment a bit with TerrainTextureSize.
By setting it to as low as 8 you will severely reduce the size of the textures in the map
in some areas.
Now, one of the biggest performance increases I have noticed is forcing the game to run
on directx 9.
You can do this by going into the settings of battle.net, then game settings and then
on the heroes of the storm section additional command line arguments.
There you can add dx9 to force that version of directx.
Also, remember that you can set up battle.net to close after you start your game if you
have a slow CPU as shown in my latest overwatch video.
Now I am going to show you the performance I got.
The footage you're about to watch is taken live from a surprise stream I did while testing
the game.
You should consider subscribing and enabling notifications if you want to know if I am
streaming the testing for a future video.

It was truly wonderful meeting people and taking in their stories and experiences.
We are reminded that, especially this time of the year, as we busy ourselves with daily routines,
but… at the end, when we stop, put things aside and focus on what's most important: People.

Giant Ornament Cake | How to Make Giant Christmas Ornament Cake | Christmas Recipes - Duration: 9:21.
hey everyone it's James from fun foods and
today i will show you how to make this
ornament cake really easy to do so keep
watching our show you step-by-step how
to make this now the first you want to
do is start off with two and a half cups
of flour have that in a large bowl here
you want to add one third cup of
cornstarch and a half a teaspoon of salt
now just whisk this together until it's
all well combined
then just take this set this aside we'll
come back to it shortly
now the medium bowl I have two and a
half cups of sugar just regular old
white sugar and add to its two sticks of
butter which equals 1 cup now this
butter is softened at room temperature
now we're just going to cream this
together until it's all well combined
when that's all well combined we're
going to add two teaspoons of vanilla
extract
we're going to add seven eggs to this
but we're going to add one egg at a time
so you can just kind of plop them in there
now I had to transfer my wet mixture
into a larger Bowl so if you're going to
do this start with the larger bowl with
your wet mixture now we're going back to
our dry mixture and i'm just going to
add about half of this into this bowl
here and we can mix it up now also have
one cup of heavy cream this is just
heavy whipping cream i'm only going for
about half than in right now
some poor that in there and mix it
through and for our other half of our dry
mixture and mix it through
for the next step i have these 3d ball
pans it just comes in two separate all
shapes and it comes on a little thing
here so to hold them in place and what
I'm gonna do is take some butter and I
want to line the inside of it
each one now after they've been lying
you just want to sprinkle a little bit
of flour and each one just take it and
kind of work it around just want to
cover really good little more flour
and after you've done that you want to
make sure they're nice and even and then
we want to take our batter and scoop
some out and put some in each one
thank you fill each one is about
three-fourths of the way full
it's okay if it's a little too much but
we don't want to be not enough we want
to cover at least to the top and just
take this put this in the oven at 350
degrees for between 35-45 minutes now
addition to our cake pans i also have
some cupcakes and I have these little liners
so they'll pop out nice and easy
I'm gonna fill some of these up as many
as i can just use up the remainder of
the batter and just bake these as well
and when they come out of the oven you
just wanted to cool down but before we
get them to cool down just take either a
butter knife or spatula like this and
you want to kind of work it in around
the pan just to loosen up a bit now one
sec cooldown remove them from the pan
and also even out the cakes so it's
gonna pop out really easy nice and
simple and as you see right where it
crest that's where we want to trim it so
right there and
now i'm gonna do the crumb coat of my
cake and what I need to do first
I have some frosting here that I made
his homemade frosting but you can use
just regular old vanilla frosting and
just color it whatever color you want my
smear a little on my little turntable
here this is going to hold it in place
and I've selected this one to be the
bottom so I'm gonna lock that down press
it in a little bit then i'm gonna fill
the inside of it with some of my
frosting
next I'll just take my top part and
lined up directly on top and press it in
a little bit now we can just decorate
the rest of this and like I said this is
the crumb coat so it doesn't have to
look great right now just kind of
smear it on there really good
so I have one of the cupcakes here that I
made now these didn't take as long to
bake as the cake did because they're not
as big so you have to watch them
Just pull it out and I'm gonna cut this pretty much
the same way I did the cake
this is going to serve as my top to my
ornament but what I want to do is I just
have regular icing regular white icing
and I'm gonna ice this thing
now the crumb coat on that as well and
I'm just gonna pop it right on the top
there
press it down really good now just take
this put this in the refrigerator until
firms up so now i have a pull n Peele
twizzler here and all want to do is
separate this and we just want to shape
it into like a big loop like this and
after shape them you can just leave them
sitting out so they will harden up a
little bit make it easier for us to push
them into our cupcake
now we just want poor cake out of the
refrigerator to make sure it's firmed up
a little bit what we'll do is start by
decorating the top part first then we'll
work down and now i want to put the
finishing coat on the top so it's gonna
put some white frosting on there
and when that's done now we'll move on
to the rest of the ornament
so I have some green sprinkles here I'm
going to sprinkle it on the green part
while it's still wet but i'm going to
cover up the white part with this
hopefully it'll work
you can take our pull n peel twizzlers
that we have formed up earlier i put
these in the freezer just so it'll
stiffen up a little bit more make it
easier for me to push this in so you may
want to start some holes with a
toothpick will help it stay in place
there you go and that's our christmas ornament

Re-thinking Instagram | Daily D. 011 - Duration: 4:01.
Hey, everybody. Thanks for tuning into my
vlog. I'm Dylan robertson and you're
watching episode 11 of the Daily D.
I'd like to talk to you today about
my plans for Instagram over
over the next year. I've been
dabbling in Instagram for quite a while.
I actually have four accounts. Let
me first explain the four accounts and
then I'll tell you what I'll be doing
with them moving forward. The
first is my personal account.
I operate in the yoga niche. Not as one
of these glamorous yogis you see
doing incredible poses on beaches with
the sunset in the background. That's not
me. I'm publisher of yoga-related online
media. I have three publications;
HelloYoga.com, TokyoYoga.com, and
TribeGrow.com. I have Instagram
accounts for each of these
publications. Getting back to my
personal Instagram account,
I've been experimenting
with various techniques,
but I'm going to probably purge
all of my posts and start a
nice checkerboard pattern in a
consistent and regular design style so
that it looks aesthetically pleasing,
which is huge on Instagram.
Think of Instagram as your
personal art gallery.
I'm going to schedule posts
automatically through a tool
called Grum (website is grum.co).
It's one of the few tools which is
(i) affordable, and (ii) schedules
directly posts directly. Instagram
doesn't allow third-party tools to
do this officially, so they've had to
use some workarounds.
I think this tool will really help.
Most other tools which
out there allow
you to set up all your
posts ahead of time but then
send you a reminder. So you have to
manually do post when it
comes through your phone. It's
quite labor-intensive. So, I'm going to
use Grum and hope it won't get me in
trouble with Instagram and I'll be able
to build up some great content.
I want to post at least one
beautiful image per day. Instagram
is all about beautiful and pretty
images. You need to put quite a lot of
work into it. You need to be editing the
photos, putting them through filters,
cropping them nicely, putting quite a bit
of thought into it. I'll be making
a checkerboard with pictures
showing me doing something
as part of my journey as
a publisher, and then alternate them
with quote images - sharing what I'm
learning through quotes. Then on the
three accounts for the publications, I'll
be sharing the stories which have
been contributed by various writers.
I'll have a featured image - the main
header image that used in the actual
story on the publication, and then the
next image will be a quote image.
Taking a quote from their story or
article. I think this is going to work
quite well, but it will require some
planning. Instagram is not as easy
as it looks.
The only people, apart from celebrities,
who make it are those who put real
thought into their work. Let me know your

Warning images, TV advertisements on health risks of smoking to go starting Friday - Duration: 2:33.
Smoking kills.
It's not something we don't already know but apparently not effective in discouraging people
from lighting up.
Starting Friday, TV ads of tobacco companies will carry testimonials from victims of the
deadly habit and cigarette packages must feature graphic images of warning.
Oh Jung-hee shows us Korea's latest anti-smoking campaign.
Tobacco companies in Korea will have to add a new element to cigarette packs starting
Friday: images and messages warning of the health risks of smoking.
Korea joins another 18 countries that have mandatory warning images on cigarette packaging.
According to the health ministry, those countries have seen smoking rates drop by an average
of 4 percent... with Brazil's dropping by almost 14-percent.
Because it takes about a month for cigarettes to reach the shops in Korea... the new packs
won't appear in stores until late January.
But so the public can get a look at the new packaging, six stores in Seoul's busier districts,
including Gangnam and Hongdae, will display them starting Friday.
TV advertisements, too, will start airing Friday evening.
One features a man who smoked for 32 years and kicked the habit three years ago after
being diagnosed with oral cancer.
He had to have his tongue and lymph nodes removed.
He tells the viewer; if he could go back, he would never have smoked.
"Through these measures and other planned initiatives,... the government hopes to reduce
the male smoking rate... from nearly 40-percent in 2015... to under 30-percent in 2020."
But smokers are skeptical.
Some say their habit is too strongly fixed.
Others say they're already desensitized to the images, having seen them plenty of times
abroad.
"Those who smoke will keep smoking.
I've been smoking for the last two years and have tried several times to quit, but it's
not easy.
Those images are gross, of course,.. but they're not enough to actually make people give it
up."
"Some people might quit, but only a few.
I'm sure seeing those images won't enable me to break the habit.
We smokers already know the health risks.
I think it'll have an effect of some kind... but quitting isn't easy."
The measures are in line with the government's decision last year to raise cigarette prices
by roughly 1 U.S. dollar and 60 cents.
Though with most smokers skeptical,... it remains to be seen what effect, if any, these
anti-smoking measures will have.

I felt connected here with the right people, Deaf people who work in the government.
It's my first time here, it's very validating.
Deaf Latino children and their parents don't have access to multilingual language resources they need.
How about you, Chris, what are your thoughts?"
It was truly wonderful meeting people and taking in their stories and experiences.
We are reminded that, especially this time of the year, as we busy ourselves with daily routines,
but… at the end, when we stop, put things aside and focus on what's most important: People.
Our relationships with each other. That's the most valuable resource anybody can have.
I'm very grateful of the support received from the community for the work that we do everyday.
