Youtube daily report Nov 29 2017

Kacy Catanzaro is a superstar competitor who inspired generations of future female athletes

when she became the first woman to finish the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course

and qualify for the final.

But there's a lot more to her than her jaw-dropping strength and athleticism on the course.

Here's what Catanzaro's life is like when she's not competing on TV.

Gymnastics star

Catanzaro had great training to prepare her to become a Warrior.

She told Esquire magazine that she started gymnastics when she was just four or five

years old and dropped everything else to pursue the sport.

In her college years, Catanzaro went on to join the Division One gymnastics team at Towson

University.

After college, she set her sights on Ninja Warrior, and she believes that her training

as a gymnast helped her succeed.

She told ESPN,

"When you get to the competition, most people don't know how their body will react to the

pressure.

But I do.

I've competed literally hundreds of times in gymnastics and trained how to do what I

need to do at just the right time."

It's the climb

We all have songs that motivate us, and it turns out that Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" is

on Catanzaro's playlist.

During a 2014 interview with Esquire, she confessed to being a fan of the Cyrus tune,

and not just because it's a song about kicking butt.

She explained,

"It's like, 'Endure the journey that you take to reach your top moment.

You might not get there right now but when you do, remember what you did to get there."

Warrior's best friend

Catanzaro has a major love for animals, but there was one in particular who really stole

her heart — her beloved dog, Mr. Mogley.

However, in 2017, when she revealed that he had passed away, she chose to honor his memory

by helping other animals, and joined forces with the national animal welfare organization

Best Friends Animal Society.

Together, Catanzaro and the organization created t-shirts with Mr. Mogley's likeness, and 100

percent of all the proceeds from this shirt went towards helping the organization and

its projects.

Thanks to the ex

Catanzaro credits a lot of her success to her now ex-boyfriend and former coach, Brent

Steffensen.

When the two were still just exchanging training and diet tips, Steffensen was offered a job

in San Antonio to test out Alpha Warrior's obstacle course, and he recommended Catanzaro

as well.

The pair began working together — and that's how their romance first started.

In 2014, she told Esquire magazine,

"He moved from L.A. and I moved from New Jersey.

We met in Texas and then about two months later we started dating.

That was almost a year and a half ago, February 2013."

An additional obstacle

At five feet tall, Catanzaro often speaks about her height and how it's been a disadvantage

to her.

She told Esquire that her size made it harder to compete on American Ninja Warrior, saying,

"Being so short is definitely a disadvantage.

In Dallas, there was part of the course where the guys could swing and with one arm reach

the next obstacle.

I had to wind up, swing, and actually let go and catch the next one with both hands.

My body was like mush at the end."

"I've been small my whole life and I've never let that hold me back before and I'm definitely

not gonna start now."

On the bright side

Perhaps one of the greatest things about Catanzaro is that she always looks on the bright side

of things, and her social media is a treasure trove of motivational messages.

Not long after conquering the American Ninja Warrior course in 2014, Catanzaro revealed

to Vulture that while she wanted to push her own boundaries, she also wanted to inspire

other women to do the same.

She said,

"I want to do these things to prove to myself, but like I've said before, I also wanted to

make these big steps for everyone, for all the women out there and for everybody else

that thinks that they can't do something or that they have an excuse."

"Kacy is the reason why I started American Ninja Warrior."

"That's right, ladies, woo!"

American pride

Catanzaro has a lot of love and respect for those who serve in the United States military

— her current boyfriend, Dave Reid, is one of them — and she has taken to Instagram

to praise veterans.

In a Memorial Day post, she wrote about how we should be grateful "for the men and women

who gave it all and have died while serving in this country's armed forces."

She also thanked those currently serving, saying that "the words never seem like enough"

and that they "deserve the greatest of thanks."

Catanzaro also praised Reid, who seven years ago was injured in Afghanistan by stepping

through a doorway that was rigged with an I.E.D.

From warrior to wrestler

Unfortunately, in 2017, Catanzaro retired from Ninja Warrior — but this also spurred

her transition into wrestling.

"No one has been a more inspirational figure to women, men, and the entire Ninja community.

Mighty Kacy will be missed."

World Wrestling Entertainment announced that Catanzaro was joining the company during a

taping for the Mae Young Classic.

Catanzaro spoke to USA Today in August 2017 about how she used to watch wrestling as a

kid, and how she was excited to take on the new challenge.

After multiple offers to join WWE, she was finally ready to accept.

She said,

"For a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be brought to me a handful of times — I knew

that it was rare, and I was getting older.

I want to be somewhere where I can make the biggest impact I can."

10 Child Prodigies to Make You Feel Lazy - Duration: 9:57.

It's important to feel proud of yourself.

It's also important not to compare yourself negatively to others.

It's not you vs. the world; it's you vs. you.

But sometimes others can act as inspiration.

If you can look at others accomplishments without jealousy, as motivation, then they

can be helpful.

We hope you will try to keep that in mind as we list off these kids who have accomplished

stuff that the prime, adult version of you probably never could.

10.

Shane Thomas

Music is full of impressive child prodigies.

Mozart, Beethoven, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber.

Go ahead, get mad.

Those are the names we're going with.

But, let's add another less well-known name to the list: Shane Thomas.

Shane is an Irish kid who's really good at classical music.

He started playing piano at age seven, and according to his dad, he could play almost

instantly by ear.

Now, whether that part is true or not, he's clearly very talented.

You can check out some of his music on his website.

He released an album with a "major music publisher" as a teenager.

At age 15, he also composed a symphony for the BBC in only 3 weeks.

His dad claims he can write songs while playing computer games, and that many of his compositions

come to him in dreams.

This sounds made up to us.

Maybe his dad should chill out with the mystical claims of greatness?

But that's probably not gonna happen.

Here's another quote from his dad: "What he's doing for the BBC's Music Day is

right up there with the capability that Mozart demonstrated as a child prodigy."

OK.

We're not sure about that, but it is very impressive what he's accomplished at such

a young age.

Good job, Shane.

But try not to let your dad convince you you're a god or something.

9.

Brighton Zeuner

How old were you the first time you won a medal at the X-Games?

Most skaters are probably in their 20s or late teens.

Some of you reading probably don't even have any medals!

Slackers.

This makes what this teen recently accomplished even more impressive.

Brighton is a 13-year-old skater from Encinitas, California, which sounds like the city that

all skateboarders come from.

We assume everyone there rides their skateboards to work.

We bet they pick the leaders of the town through a skateboarding event of some kind.

Well, there's a new sheriff in town, and her name is Brighton Zeuner.

Brighton competed in a X-Games skating event just 12 hours after she turned 13… and she

won the gold medal, becoming the youngest gold medalist ever.

Make sure you check out just how radical (is that a word skaters still use?) she is in

the video above.

It's got some pretty boring commentary, so we recommend you turn on some '90s rock

music in the background instead.

We recommend some Goldfinger.

Then you should probably go play one of the old Tony Hawk games.

8.

Anthony Russo

Plenty of people tell themselves they're going to run a 5K, or 10K, or whatever…

eventually.

But they never seem to get around to it.

If you're one of those people, prepare to feel really lazy.

Anthony Russo is one of those people who told themselves they were going to run a half-marathon.

The difference between him and most people is that he actually did it.

Oh, also, he was 5-years-old at the time, and he was actually pretty fast.

He's the youngest person in the US to complete a half-marathon in under two and a half hours.

According to his parents, he doesn't see running as work.

Apparently, he sees it as fun.

He really enjoys running amounts that would have the average adult wheezing like a motion

sick General Grievous.

And before the half-marathon, he was happily training like a madman, running up to 40 miles

per week.

When he was asked about it by a newspaper, he replied, "It's a cool thing to do."

Most of us would not be interested in running with him, but we admit that it is indeed cool.

7.

Carissa Yip

Chess is a game usually dominated by men in their 30s, but 12-year-old Carissa Yip of

Massachusetts can beat most of them.

Carissa started learning chess from her father at age 6, and she's been breaking records

since she began playing competitively.

She's the youngest person to ever reach the National Master rank, which she achieved

at 11.

Two years earlier, she was the youngest person to ever reach the title of expert.

And right before her 11th birthday, she became the youngest female player to ever beat a

grandmaster.

Among girls under 14, she's already ranked number 1 in the US, and 6th in the world.

She also won the North American Under 20 girls championship last year.

She's apparently so good she doesn't need to look at the board.

She showed an interviewer how she could play with her back to the board, keeping track

in her head and telling her dad where to move her pieces.

And, in the same spirit, we have decided to write the next paragraph with our backs facing

the computer.

Well, that didn't turn out so well.

Guess we need to practice more.

6.

Jamie Edwards

Jamie Edwards is a normal teenage boy who happens to dabble in nuclear fission.

He calls himself an "amateur nuclear scientist."

At the age of 13, he broke a record, becoming the youngest "fusionner" in history.

What exactly does that mean?

It means he got the materials and did the science necessary to carry out atomic fusion.

How'd he even have the resources to do that?

He showed his school a presentation explaining why he should be allowed to build a nuclear

fusion reactor, and they gave him $3,350.

Wait, so he just asked his school for money, and they gave it to him?

If we knew about this back in middle school, we'd have probably have become scientists

too.

Or at least we would have gotten an Xbox a lot earlier.

5.

Duo Duo

How old would you guess the world's youngest pilot is?

Somewhere in the teens, probably.

Maybe 14?

Well, we should probably be safe and go ahead and guess 13.

Ok then, 13.

And we'd be wrong.

Duo Duo (a nickname) was the world's youngest pilot at the age of 5.

He successfully piloted a plane around 1,000 feet above Beijing, becoming the world's

youngest ever solo pilot.

He's also done a few other notable things, mostly as a result of his father (Eagle Dad,

as he likes to be called) meticulously planning his daily activities.

We'll admit that Eagle Dad's activities do sound more fun than those usually imposed

by Tiger Moms.

Duo Duo was also the world's youngest sailor and was planning to bike through the Tibetan

Plateau.

And apparently, he's "the youngest person to start an investment company."

These accomplishments come at a price, as Duo Duo wakes up at 6:30 a.m., a time usually

reserved for birds and old men who still read newspapers.

But, his dad says that he does it because "Chinese parents spoil their child too much."

His dad might be seen as going too far, but his motivations seem to be mostly good.

And also, he's not totally strict.

As Duo Duo says, "On Sunday, I can even watch movies."

4.

Farhad Nouri

If you were a 10-year-old Afghan boy living in a migrant camp in Serbia, what do you think

you would spend your time doing?

If you said you'd get really good at drawing and painting and acquire the nickname 'Little

Picasso', you may in fact be Farhad Nouri.

Farhad learned some basic art from his father beginning at age 6, but he has recently been

learning more by watching YouTube videos.

He says he does plan to draw a portrait of Picasso, and he's already drawn Angela Merkel,

Salvador Dali, and Angelina Jolie.

He says that art has helped him to deal with being stuck in the refugee camp.

Not surprisingly, he hopes to be a painter when he grows up and wants to live in Switzerland

or the US.

He hasn't won any awards or anything, but there probably aren't many to be had for

a 10-year-old in Serbia.

His work is quite impressive, especially considering his circumstances.

Good job, Farhad.

3.

Lots of Golfers

Golf is a game for retired people, right?

Well, that's the stereotype.

It is a game that can be played at an older age than most, it usually takes money to play

(which old people have), and if you play a round you'll probably see some grandparents

out there.

But of course there are exceptions.

Almost everyone's heard of Tiger Woods, who at age 2 went on The Mike Douglas Show,

then at age 8 was invited on Good Morning America to show off his skills, and later

became the youngest ever Masters champion at the age of 21, a time when many of us were

most well known for how many beers we could chug.

Maybe you've also heard of Michelle Wie, who started playing at age 4 and joined the

LPGA when she was only 12.

She later became the youngest USGA Champion in an adult event.

She turned professional shortly before her 16th birthday.

She later attended Stanford, but was not allowed on the golf team as she was already a pro.

There are several other young golfers we could highlight, but there's not enough room in

this article for all of them.

So we're just going to include a link to one at random.

And the winner is…

Shubham Jaglan, a 13-year-old who has already won 100 tournaments, including the Junior

World Golf Championship.

So, we guess the lesson here is that even if a competition is meant for older people,

that doesn't mean you can't start earlier if you want.

We're excited to soon hear about the 8-year-old World Knitting Championship winner.

2.

Tyler Armstrong

What did this kid do?

Did he run a 4 minute mile?

No.

Is he a professional hockey player?

Nope, sorry.

OK, last guess: he boxes kangaroos.

Please tell us he fights kangaroos.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have time for kangaroos… because he's spending his time

climbing up freaking mountains.

He started out back when he was seven, when he decided to climb over 14,500 feet up Mount

Whitney, the tallest mountain in the US outside of Alaska.

He climbed it in one day, and was the youngest person to do so.

The year after that, he became the second youngest human to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

And then, at 9-years-old, he became the youngest ever to climb 22,841 feet up Mount Aconcagua

in Argentina, the tallest mountain in both the western and southern hemisphere.

Wait a second… do they just let anyone climb mountains?

Are there not rules about this?

Actually, there are.

Tyler just doesn't care.

Mount Kilimanjaro's normal age limit is 10, but he applied for a special permit to

head up a year early, and they said yes.

So, we guess the lesson here is that if you don't like a rule, just ask and they'll

let you break it.

He did the same thing with Aconcagua.

The limit there is 14, but he asked for permission, so they let him climb it five years early.

Maybe we should have applied for a drinking permit at age 16.

So, why's he climbing mountains?

Just for fun?

He's doing it to raise money and awareness about Duchenne, a kind of muscular dystrophy.

To describe why he's doing it, Tyler said, "They can't walk, and that's like the

opposite of me … I want them to climb with me when we find a cure."

1.

Kim Jong-un

Yes, that's right.

Kim Jong-un was a multitalented child prodigy with near magical levels of ability.

At least, that's what students in North Korea are learning.

In 2015, teachers were issued manuals that list many of Kim's great accomplishments.

We'll let you decide whether this manual should be trusted, but if so, Kim was one

truly amazing kid.

According to the books, Kim learned to drive at the age of 3 and was winning yacht races

by the time he was 9.

Apparently, he even won a race against a foreign yacht company CEO.

He's also supposedly a great artist and musical composer.

These claims are somewhat hard to believe, but they're nothing compared to the claims

about his father.

Kim Jong-il, according to official North Korean doctrine, wrote 1,500 books during his time

in college and also penned six operas, "all of which are better than any in the history

of music."

He also once golfed a 38 under par, making 11 holes in one.

And here's the catch: he never golfed before that and he never golfed after that.

That's right, that was the one and only time he picked up a golf club.

Truly incredible and inspiring.

What a family!

Alex Gibney Believes There's Always a Story to Tell | TIFF 2017 - Duration: 2:23.

There's always a story to tell.

The hard part is being true to that story.

Scientology has been very stigmatized and people focus in immediately on the

weird stuff, and the abuses,

but I also wanted to show that Scientology

and the people who believed so fervently in it

it's composed of people who are very smart,

very savvy individuals and I was moved by their stories.

The key was not to

try to do everything that Larry did in his book.

The film has to be its own thing

and so that's why I focused on these individuals and by telling their

stories I could tell the story of the church

and also the story of the prison of belief

but that meant inevitably leaving a lot of stuff out and being rigorous.

When you get in the cutting room there comes a point with every film

not just this film, but every film,

where the story

is is kind of whispering to you in the background

and at your peril you don't listen to those whispers

because the story is saying, look –

there are a lot of important themes, there's a lot of

interesting facts, but unless you pay

attention to the story and the dynamics of the story and how the story folds in

on itself dramatically and emotionally

it's at your peril.

To be a filmmaker is

in its own way is kind of a sacred profession in the sense

that a lot of people entrust you with their stories and you've got to

make the best of them you've got to

render them in a way that

gives those stories dignity

but at the same time

makes them exciting for other people to watch

So that they don't just yawn and turn to the other channel.

(Off screen) Thank you.

Thank you.

Pleasure.

Q&A with Dawn Symington: How Does Paying my Bills on Time Effect my Credit Score? - Duration: 1:47.

Hi, this is Dawn Symington from mortgage 1 with Wednesday Q&A

This week we're continuing on our topic of credit and what you can do to maximize your

credit score The key with credit is to make sure that you

pay you bills on time I've had past clients who had credit card

bills and let's say it was a minimum payment of $25 dollars a month on a balance of $4,000

If you miss that payment, there's a 30 day late payment that comes on your credit after

30 days and then I have client that will miss a second payment and then on the third month

they would pay off the entire balance, all $4,000

Thinking in their mind that they've made it all good

Well, what's happened is because they've had a 30 day late their score will drop 30-40

points for that 30 day late, and the repositories do weigh a little more heavily auto loans

and mortgages, however, when you have any late payment whatsoever their's a sure decline

on you credit score So it's extremely important that you make

the payments, it's better in fact that you make the minimum payments of say $25, $25,

$25 until you can pay the entire balance off It is always of course better to pay more

than the minimum balance, but at minimum make sure you make that minimum payment because

otherwise the credit burrows and repositories believe that it's because you aren't able

to make that $25 payment, and if you can't make $25 then how in the heck are you going

to make a $1000 mortgage payment for example That's what plummets your score so heavily

So it' better to make consistent monthly payments than to skip a couple months and make a payment

Thank you so much!

What Your Car Says About You - BMW i8 - Duration: 7:16.

Kris Krohn here today with Limitless TV and we're talking about this fancy BMW.

Is it important? What's more important?

So what's up with the BMW, right? I was on a

two-year waiting list and I got one of the very first BMW i8 here in America.

Certainly the one of the first that came to Utah and people love to ask,

there's either car enthusiasts that are excited and excited about it, there's

some people that are really judgmental and they think, "Oh that's a status

symbol." or "What does that car mean about you?" or "Why are you spending so much

money on a car? Couldn't that money be used for investing or for something

different or creating greater personal security?" and I want to

shoot this video because I get a lot of people asking about it and what's

interesting is that a car is kind of like money, it has the ability to magnify

who we are and it's interesting to see all of people's different perceptions on

what this car is all about. I won't lie, I'm German, I could really connect to my

German heritage and I've had two other BMW's before and for me, this car is such

a huge celebration of innovation for future, for technology, it's a hybrid so

it's both gas and it's also electric. I fill up that tank probably once every two months

and the only reason why I really need to fill up the tank is from perhaps driving

from time to time a little less responsibly than I could because I like

taking the canyon turns a little faster than I probably should, that's besides

the point. It's amazing what these engineers have

actually produced, they actually produced a vehicle that has the ability to

challenge other gas based cars and being all-electric, it can compete with them as

far as its top speed goes and how fast it accelerates and because BMW, who by

the way, is a company with a hundred year business plan, that's what they have

right now, is a hundred year business plan, they said, "We want to create the

first electric vehicle that can competitively race against other

vehicles that are not." And they did it, they had accomplished it

and the car is amazing, it's cool, it's probably the most fun

cars that I've ever driven before cuz sometimes I'm in just chill all-electric

mode but if I put it into sport mode, everything goes red and it turns

really aggressive and you know, for me, I could drive a really cheap car, I can

drive a really expensive car, in the end, why? Why are you living in the house that

you're living in? Why are you driving the car that you're driving? Why is there a

car that you want to drive maybe that you can't afford yet or haven't bought

yet? Why is it that you want the things that you want and what does it really

say about you? There's a really important principle in the

personal development world called projection and what it says is that,

we only have the ability to project onto another person our own expectations, our

own laws, our own principles, our own beliefs and so every word that proceeds

out of our mouth to another human being is an expression of what we believe,

which it's kind of interesting because some people will be angry and they'll

say, "Oh my gosh, how could you spend so much on that car?" And all they're really

revealing is what? Their own belief system about that which they're entitled

to and I get other people are like, "Oh man, thumbs up! That is so amazing, like

that's so incredible!" And they're enthusiasts and there's a reason

why they really like the car. I think the bigger principle at play here is, what

are you projecting in life? What do you project upon your spouse or your

children or your friends? What do you project upon people? And

what are the judgments that you have that you project? One of the things that

I believe as a Christian is that the judgments that we have for other people

are really just judgments against ourselves and there's no need for God to

judge us because I think we're doing a fine job judging ourselves on a pretty

regular basis. So while there are some people that have controversial feelings

about this car, while there are other people that celebrate it, while there's

some people that are excited about it and celebrate with me for maybe the

success that I've had, in the end, it doesn't come down to how much did it

cost how, much is it worth, or even what people will think about me. In the end,

why did I buy this car? To celebrate a team of scientists coming

together and doing something that hasn't been done before and it inspires me.

When I built my house, it's nearly ten thousand square feet and that house has

been used to bless a lot of families, it's housed a lot of people in my

basement over the years for last several years, that's been my parents, been able

to use it for large functions, and parties and weddings and all sorts of

amazing things but in the end, that house, it's large, it's big, what does it really

say about me? What is it really about? I wanted to live in something I created

and that's what inspiration helped me come up with and help me create, it's a

unique expression of me in my life. You and I, we all have unique in different

paths to walk in life and not one of us, I can't tell you what your path is

just like you can't tell me what my path is but we live in a world where we're

judging each other and trying to tell each other what that is. At the end of

the day, I can produce some real estate videos and suggest, "Hey, here's a path

that I walked" And some of you it's going to resonate and I will literally give you a

golden blueprint to how to create wealth for yourself. Others are going to say,

"Kris, you gave me great information that told me why I shouldn't do your system and

I'm thankful for that knowledge." or "Kris, I was really triggered at your system

and decided to unsubscribe and never talk to you again." At the end of

the day, we're all just trying to find our path, we're all trying to find the

path that will get us where we want to go. So watch out for your projections

because if you waste enough of your time judging other people and projecting your

own beliefs on others, then you might miss out on a more beautiful principle

at work which is the things that trigger you, the things that excite you, the

things that upset you, they're yours, so learn from them and instead of

projecting them onto others, live them, live by example, harness the power of

that and then create greater tolerance and compassion for people that are

different. In fact, celebrate their differences. Honing in this skill and

learning how to do this is a beautiful way for you and I to level up and go to

another grade level where we get to see life in reality more clearly. What is

that car to you? What is it to me? What are the things you want in life to

you? How many of the things are driven by ego, are the things driven by love, are

the things driven by uniqueness, are the things driven by simple

desires and minimalism? This is your life, you get to make that choice so make them

for you, leave the rest of us out of it, honor

your truth, follow your path and if all of us can do that, I think we're going to

live brighter happier lives.

Thanks for joining us for today's video.

What's important to you? Why is it important to you? And do you ever project it on to

other people? Be sure to subscribe, we'll get more videos coming your way,

we'll see another day.

LEGO Downtown Diner 2018 set - The Best LEGO Modular Building? - Duration: 3:27.

Hello, just2good here,

and LEGO just revealed the 2018 Modular Building set -

the Downtown Diner, which will retail for 170 bucks,

and releases January 1st, 2018.

And, in my opinion, this may be the best looking modular yet.

It's also a little bit of a depature from the other modular buildings,

a new take in a way,

fitting for a style that seems to be a few decades after all the previous ones.

Let me set up the context for you.

The peak of modulars was 2014 to 2015,

with the Parisian Restaurant and Detective Office.

But then, in 2016, we had the Brick Bank,

which was a good set,

but nowhere near the level of those two before it.

And, I could say the same with the Assembly Square,

it was good,

but not anything that could compare to those two great ones from before.

But this.

This is a return to the greatness.

This is incredible.

It's simple but like the Detective's Office and Parisian,

it stands out on a shelf -

I would even say moreso than any other modular.

Those bright colors that almost give me a Paradisa slash Miami Vice feel

and that Dinner sign definitely help, but gosh,

I love the design that captures that 50s Diner with all those curves,

with the first level roof and the skylight window.

And dang, still looming on the exterior,

the apartment building section looks great -

I love the studs not on top technique where they use tiles for the walls,

the roof with the handle bars and hinge mix,

and even the little details,

like the reverse 2x2 bumper pieces for windows at the side of the skylight window.

For the interior, the first floor is the diner,

and gosh, I love the essentials of any dinner which this knocks out.

The serving counter, a coffee machine, a gumball machine,

an awesome counter grill that reminds me of Steak 'n Shake,

and booth and a jukebox.

The second floor is a classic weight room,

with a punching bag and boxing ring -

that's new for LEGO!

The third floor is a recording studio.

I love that printed Rock and Roll vinyl,

and the reocrding booth.

The roof has a nice standing area,

which you can get to from a little door and the back alley,

which has lots of little pathways - something I love.

I like how they changed up the stair case as well,

using this interesting railing style.

The car is nice as well,

such a step up from that terrible one in the Palace Cinema.

It's not overtly long, just the perfect size,

and the pink works with that pastel-esque aesthetic of the building.

Alright, so I'm praising this, but what do I not like?

Well, to start out - the tan the apartment like part.

Why tan?

Insert the Gnajbricks meme here,

but it just clashes with the nice Paradia-like pink,

teal, and white.

The grey used is minimal beisdes the pathway,

which that all makes sense to use grey.

But the tan, in my opinion, it should've been white.

It just fits more and doesn't distact

from the awesome curved design of building and the sign,

unlike the tan, which just distracts from it.

Then, the minifigures.

Look, like I said before,

this is a new take on the modular buildings line.

But why did they drop the classic smiley,

which is a standard for all modulars since the second one?

Look at this picture.

Even with the more modern design of the diner,

the only thing that's a clash is the minifigures.

And, y'know, some of the minfigures have exclusive face prints in this set.

In particular I love this rocker's singing face,

and this girl's sweating face.

They're pretty specific and useful new faceprints,

but gosh, it just ruins the consistency of the modular line,

and I worry we won't see the classic smiley yearly anymore.

Other than that like I said,

this could be the best modular yet.

I will be buying this on release, I believe.

It's only 170 bucks, so I'll probably use up all my Christmas money.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

I'll see you guys later.

Peace out.

Bye.

Murray State International Bazaar - Duration: 1:21.

For 17 years, Murray State University has participated in international education

week. Among many events hosted during this week is the International Bazaar.

The International Bazaar provides Murray State students from around the world a

chance to share their culture, dress, music, food, and more from their home

country. We have different celebrations that we do, Independence Day that celebrate true carnival and we have the

Rue Te Maya and the lobsterfest, and apart from that, we're showing the students the

culture that we have, the currency that we have, and the politics that we have,

and just the various stuff to do in their country. Local elementary and

middle school students are also invited to participate in the International

Bazaar, with face painting and practice passports as they travel to each country.

You know when you travel you have to have a passport? We kind of want the kids to

get a sense that, this is their passport to meet different cultures and countries.

Just in this room alone we have about 20 different countries and cultures

represented. So they have a passport, and each table has actually a stamp, so it's

kind of like, "I visited that country, here's my stamp in my passport."

Murray State looks forward to hosting the event again next November.

Heat 'N Tweet - Electric fireplaces - Duration: 1:14.

Hi, welcome back to Heat 'N Tweet.

I'm Sherri and this is Casper.

We've had customers calling in this week interested in electric fireplaces.

We have many of these on display at this time in the showroom, so please come in and take

a look.

We have kinds that sit in a cabinet with a mantel on top, and also the kind that goes

right into the wall and hangs.

There's really no installation necessary for an electric fireplace, so they're very easy

to add right into your home.

We offer assembly here, and delivery as well.

So we can very easily just bring this over one afternoon, and it just plugs right into

the wall, any regular outlet you have, like you'd use for a lamp is fine for these fireplaces.

We can have you all ready for the holidays.

Would Casper have anything to add today?

I guess not.

Thanks, we'll see you soon.

U.S. On Brink Of WWIII After Trump Responds To N. Korea ICBM Missile Launch - Duration: 7:20.

Never since the Cuban missile crisis of the early 60s, when John F. Kennedy was president

and we were in the middle of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, have we been so close

total global annihilation.

US Secretary of Defence James Mattis in a statement earlier today confirmed that the

fetus looking Dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un has now fired its highest-ever intercontinental

ballistic missile and it poses a dire worldwide threat.

Later the Pentagon confirmed that the missile had flown for about 1,000km (620 miles) before

falling into the Sea of Japan.

The Japanese government released an official statement saying the missile traveled for

about 50 minutes but did not actually fly over Japan, as some have done in the past.

The White House confirmed that President Donald Trump was briefed while the missile was actually

still in the air, to which he afterward said: "We will take care of it."

South Korea's military later said it had responded with a missile exercise of its own.

This will get ugly.

Via Freedom Daily:

After months of threats and tests, North Korea's despot dictator, Kim Jong-un, flexed his muscles

and launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) this morning.

The little "Rocket Man" likely chuckled to himself, basking in the glow as he envisioned

the explosion of what ended up being his target.

Now, for the first time since the end of the Cold War, Hawaii has just something that indicates

the threat of World War III could be a reality, as other world leaders warn of the same thing.

This is North Koreas latest provocation of war that could be their last after "two

missiles flew directly over Japanese territory, terrifying citizens and sparking a round of

worldwide condemnations and sanctions," according to Express.

The Japanese government has issued an urgent warning that the final blow could be coming

within the "next few days."

Hawaii has been under direct threat and they aren't taking any chances after seeing the

Jong-un is not willing to stop until President Donald Trump personally makes him, which looks

like will be sooner, rather than later.

Fox News reports:

North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile in the middle of the night local time

Wednesday, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, which first reported the launch, said the missile

"flew eastward from the vicinity of Pyongyang" toward the Sea of Japan, according to South

Korean military officials.

The missile launch happened around 3 a.m. in North Korea.

South Korea's military has reportedly staged a "precision strike" missile exercise

in response.

Japan's Prime Minister's Office for disaster and crisis management information tweeted

shortly after the report: "North Korea launched a missile that has the possibility of arriving

in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of our country," according to a translation.

There have been signs indicating Kim Jong Un's regime was planning a missile launch

in recent days.

Japan's Kyodo News reported Monday the Japanese government detected radio signals pointing

to a possible missile test in the near future.

It was only a matter of time before North Korea tried this since Kim Jong-un has been

strangely silent for a few months since his last launch in late July.

There's no mistaking that what the dictator did was an act of war against Japan, and now

it's time for him to pay the price for his actions.

Today's launch comes only hours after Hawaii resumed Cold War-era nuclear siren tests after

getting word of a pending threat from North Korea.

According to Reuters:

Wailing air-raid sirens will be sounded for about 60 seconds from more than 400 locations

across the central Pacific islands starting at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, in a test that will

be repeated on the first business day of each month thereafter, state officials said.

Monthly tests of the nuclear attack siren are being reintroduced in Hawaii in conjunction

with public service announcements urging residents of the islands to "get inside, stay inside

and stay tuned" if they should hear the warning.

"Emergency preparedness is knowing what to expect and what to do for all hazards,"

Hawaii Emergency Management Agency chief Vern Miyagi said in one video message posted online.

He did not mention North Korea specifically.

But the nuclear attack sirens, discontinued since the 1980s when the Cold War drew to

a close, are being reactivated in light of recent test launches of intercontinental ballistic

missiles from North Korea deemed capable of reaching the state, agency spokeswoman Arlina

Agbayani told Reuters.

A single 150-kiloton weapon detonated over Pearl Harbor on the main island of Oahu would

be expected to kill 18,000 people outright and leave 50,000 to 120,000 others injured

across a blast zone several miles wide, agency spokesman Richard Rapoza said, citing projections

based on assessments of North Korea's nuclear weapons technology.

While casualties on that scale would be unprecedented on U.S. soil, a fact sheet issued by the agency

stressed that 90 percent of Hawaii's 1.4 million-plus residents would survive "the

direct effects of such an explosion."

Oahu, home to a heavy concentration of the U.S. military command structure, as well as

the state capital, Honolulu, and about two-thirds of the state's population, is seen as an

especially likely target for potential North Korean nuclear aggression against the United

States.

Japan can only take so much and have appeared to have reached that threshold.

For how small Kim Jong-un is, he's sure making a huge mistake by playing big boy games.

He doesn't want to get into a war with America since we have the best army in the world and

could obliterate his country from the planet in a matter of seconds.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis stressed that the U.S. is trying to exhaust all diplomatic

and economic options to end North Korea's missile program, however, those efforts are

wearing out quickly with the persistence of refusal to cooperate from North Korea's

leader.

It can be difficult to tell when the diplomatic options have been exhausted because your enemy

might be sneaky, or duplicitous in some way, and it's the responsibility of a country

has to try and determine fact from fiction.

That's not the case with North Korea who has been clear about their intentions by coming

right out in the open and announcing their plans for a fight.

The Japanese government said they would "never accept North Korea's continuous provocative

behavior" and PM Shinzo Abe called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

The EU called the launch a "further unacceptable violation" of North Korea's international

obligation.

Britain's ambassador to the UN called it "a reckless act"

Although condemnation of the launch was swift and plentiful It's pretty much a given no

one will do anything until President Trump gives the order, and we can rest assured he

will not hesitate in giving the order at the precise moment.

As always the safety of the world rests on our shoulders.

And it seems like this time the fat ugly kid from North Korea is on a suicide mission.

Warning Issued After Terrifying Find Discovered Off Gulf Of Mexico Following N. Korea Missile Launch - Duration: 5:31.

After months of threats, the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong-un launched an intercontinental

ballistic missile (ICBM) that has sent shockwaves around the world.

For the first time in decades, there is a real threat of World War III on the horizon,

and after what was just discovered off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico it could be sooner

than later.

For months, North Korea has been doing their best to goad the United States and other countries

into a massive world war.

However, that has not happened thanks to the level and strong leadership of President Trump

and his trusted administration.

Though, while North Korea is one real threat, there is another country out there vying for

the title of a world superpower as well, and that is Iran.

Under the failed leadership of Barack Obama, he allowed the Middle Eastern country to flourish

by lifting sanctions off Iran in his landmark nuclear deal with the Muslim nation.

Conservatives across America were irate after learning of this deal that came across as

too lenient for the predominately Muslim country.

Now, Iran appears to be pushing for war after Iranian ships were spotted in the Gulf of

Mexico, and if that is true, we could be in for a long winter.

Here is more from J Post:

As Iran continues to fight to become a global superpower, the Islamic Republic's flag

may soon be flying halfway across the globe on warships sent to the Gulf of Mexico, Iran's

new Navy commander has announced.

"Our fleet of warships will be sent to the Atlantic Ocean in the near future and will

visit one of the friendly states in South America and the Gulf of Mexico," Iranian

Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi was quoted by Iran's semi-official Tasnim

News Agency as saying.

Iran will likely use the warships' visit to Latin America to advance its relationship

with its ally Venezuela, a US adversary.

And while Iran's navy poses no real threat when up against the American navy, Khanzadi

added that new vessels and submarines will be introduced next year to bolster the country's

fleet.

At a press conference in early November, outgoing Naval commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari

said that "sailing in open waters between Europe and the Americas should be the Navy's

goal, which will be realized in the near future."

Iran has increased its presence in international waters in recent years.

According to Sayyari, Iran has sent 47 flotillas of warships into international waters including

last November when an Iranian naval flotilla entered the Atlantic Ocean after sailing around

Africa.

"No foreign military official could even imagine that the Iranian naval forces might

reach the Atlantic Ocean," Sayyari stated during a ceremony in August, adding that "no

one saw it likely that Iranian forces could sail around Africa or go to the Suez Canal,

but they proved to be capable of doing it."

In 2014 Iran said it would send warships into the Gulf of Mexico to protest the US Navy

presence in the Persian Gulf.

The US Navy's 5th fleet, based in Bahrain across the Persian Gulf, and Iranian vessels

have clashed in recent years in the Persian Gulf.

But the ships never made it, and according to Meir Javedanfar, Iran lecturer Interdisciplinary

Center (IDC) in Herzliya and researcher at Meir Ezri Center for Iran & Persian Gulf Studies

at Haifa University, "It's not clear if Iran is actually going to do it," this time

either.

"Making an announcement is very different than actually being able to carry out such

a big and sophisticated task of sending Iranian ships all the way to the Gulf of Mexico,"

Javedanfar told The Jerusalem Post.

"And even if Iran succeeds I think it's going to be mostly for show for domestic purposes.

The Iranians have said that the Americans have no business being in the Persian Gulf

and therefore maybe by doing this they are trying to reciprocate by saying that 'just

as you come to our backyard we can come to your backyard.'"

While Iran has repeatedly warned that any act of transgression into the country's

territorial waters would be met with an immediate and befitting response, according to Javedanfar,

"The US Navy in the Persian Gulf has got far more sophisticated anti-aircraft weaponry

systems, aviation systems, and marines than the Iranians ships, so the two can't be

compared."

The Iranian navy is also currently taking part in the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium Multilateral

Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise-2017 (IMMSAREX-17) which began Monday, along with the navies

of 32 other countries.

According to Tasnim, Iran's naval military presence in international waters is "aimed

at demonstrating their naval power and extending a message of peace and friendship."

The growth of Iran's navy is concerning to Israel, especially after Iran's chief

of staff Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri said that setting up naval bases in Yemen

and Syria was "ten times more important" than nuclear technology.

With the latest development from North Korea firing off missiles and the discovery of Iranian

ships in the Gulf of Mexico, it could spell serious issues for America and our allies.

For years, Obama only emboldened our enemies to the point where now they think they can

do whatever the heck they want without any repercussions.

Thankfully, Trump is no one's fool and will do his best to quell the beat of war drums

before it is too late.

Elena Blaginina

About the crystal shoe

Cricket in the corner cricket, The door is closed on the hook.

I'm looking at the book About the crystal slipper.

In the palace a merry ball, The shoe fell off his feet.

Very Cinderella hurt Come out of the high hall.

But she went home, fluffy dress lifted

And again I got dressed in rags And work began ...

It became quiet and dark, The moonbeam fell into the window.

I hear the voice of my dear mother: "It's time for you to sleep!"

Cricket in the corner.

I turned on my side - I'll dream in a dream

Liverpool Line up Move For £62.3m Man United Target For Outgoing Emre Can ● News Now transfer ● #LFC - Duration: 2:15.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has tried everything he could to get his fellow countryman Emre

Can commit his future to Anfield.

Klopp understands that Can has the right attributes to be a hit with the Kop faithful – if he

is not already.

But, the German midfielder has rejected all the advances made by Liverpool and has not

signed an extension so far.

It looks highly unlikely that he would sign one from now until next summer, which is when

he is expected to leave on a free transfer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Can makes a move in the January transfer window itself and

signs a pre-contract agreement with some foreign team.

That leaves Klopp with finding a replacement for the midfielder.

Latest reports Italian outlet Tuttosport indicate that Liverpool have set their sights on Lazio

midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement for Can.

Klopp apparently sees the 22-year-old Serbian as an ideal replacement for Can, who seems

set to join Juventus.

Interestingly, Milinkovic-Savic is also eyed by Juventus and it would be interesting to

see how the tussle goes.

There is interest from other clubs too, as the two Manchester sides – United and City

– are reportedly keen on making a move.

Lazio, however, see him as a valuable member of their squad and have slapped a tag of £62.3million

on their midfielder.

Despite the huge transfer fee, the Italian press feels that Liverpool are leading the

pack for his signature and that Klopp wants to pair him with Naby Keita, who is set to

join the club next summer.

Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois tells fans to forget David De Gea: I'm the best goalkeeper - Duration: 2:40.

Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois tells fans to forget David De Gea: I'm the best goalkeeper

The Chelsea stopper already boasts a glittering CV despite still being just 25 years old.

He played a key role in the Blues' Premier League title win last season and cemented himself as an elite keeper.

While the likes of Manuel Neuer and David De Gea are still starring at the highest level, Courtois says he must believe that he is better than anyone.

Courtois told Sky Sports: Yeah, I think obviously I feel like that, you have to have the self-belief that you are the best, thats important to have that mind-set.

Obviously there are other great goalkeepers, so its not for me to judge who is the best, but obviously I feel the best because that has to be your mind-set.

I think every great player in the world, and every great goalkeeper in the world will have that mind-set, and it should be like that.

I try to work every day very hard to become better and better..

Chelsea claimed a late draw away to Liverpool on Saturday and take on Swansea at Stamford Bridge tonight.

The Blues are currently 11 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City but Courtois believes they are not out of the title race yet.

He added: "I think all games coming up are must-win games, I think if you are 11 points behind City,

you have to keep winning and hope they lose some points.

For us they are must-win games. If you want to play to win the title, those games you have to win of course.

We are still there in it, but it depends on ourselves, we need to keep winning and see what others do.

"At the moment City are playing well and winning, so you have to hope that they drop points, and that you yourself keep on winning.

I think we have tough fixtures, but obviously not against the top six, so they are games we have to win and to get a winning run.

I like how they changed up the stair case as well,

using this interesting railing style.

Peace out.

Bye.

Top E-Books To Read - Duration: 5:05.

Bibliophiles of the internet, my name's Adriana and today I'm here to share the top Kindle books,

or e-books, that I would like to read most.

Disclaimer: This is *not* a TBR. This is not even me saying I plan to read these books in the near future.

It's just that, I don't know about you, but it's really easy for me to forget which e-books I've downloaded

since I don't have to face them on a day-to-day basis.

So I thought this would be a good way to remind myself of what I have,

and it would also be a good way to look back and, hopefully, at least mentally prioritize

some of these books.

First up is "Since You Asked" by Maurene Goo.

After I read "I Believe in a Thing Called Love," I immediately looked up all of Maurene Goo's previous work,

and this one really reminded me of one my all-time favorite books growing up, "Teen Idol" by Meg Cabot.

This is #ownvoices contemporary YA about a Korean-American teenager named Holly,

who works as the copyeditor of her school's newspaper.

One day, she accidently submits an article that tears down everyone in the school,

which actually lands her a regular column where she can rant about anything and anyone she wants.

The story is about if she'll be able to navigate the tricky ins-and-outs of high school

if she keeps writing this column and spilling her true thoughts.

Next is kind of a two-for-one, and that is "The Black Tides of Heaven"

*and* "The Red Threads of *Fortune," both by J.Y. Yang.

-- These are standalone companion fantasy novellas written by a queer, nonbinary author.

In other words, I could not purchase them fast enough.

Each of these has a really complex synopsis, but they're about the twin children of the Protector,

and they both have the gift of prophecy or receiving visions of the future in some way.

And each novella follows the journey of one of the twins.

I believe they're also getting caught up in a potential war between Machinists, who are building new technology,

and Tensors, who want to keep the world the way it is.

And these two factions could easily tear the Protectorate apart.

I've also heard these novellas have fantastic world-building, and apparently this world is one where children

are *not* gendered at birth. They can grow up exploring who they are, what they like, how they want to present,

and they use gender neutral pronouns until they're ready to declare a gender, if they so choose.

And I'm like, "Wow, yes, great. Let's get started on THAT."

Next up is "The Drowning Eyes" by Emily Foster.

This is another queer fantasy novella about these vicious pirates or raiders called Dragon Ships,

and when they descend on the coast, the people there depend on these weather-shapers called Windspeakers.

They can control the elements and take the wind right out of the Dragon Ships' sails,

but the only problem is that their magic has been stolen,

and they must depend on a young apprentice to help restore it to them and help them save the coastal towns.

Next up is "Stamped From the Beginning" by Ibram X. Kendi.

This book is nonfiction, and the subtitle is "The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America."

It was written sort of in response to the current U.S. administration, for those people who ask themselves,

"How did we go from having the Obama administration, one of the most progressive administrations,"

"to having the rise of an administration built on bigotry and racism?"

It's about dispelling this idea that we live in a post-racial era, because racism has never gone away.

It's just gotten better at disguising itself. And where progress goes, racism naturally follows.

And I believe it also explores how all these different thinkers and activists from all different sides

throughout history have helped to cement racist ideas in the U.S.

Next up is "Star-Crossed" by Barbara Dee.

This is middle grade queer lit, and I heard about it when the author went on Twitter and opened up about how

most of her promotional appearances were with young children at elementary schools,

and how those schools requested that she NOT talk about the fact that her characters are queer.

If I can find her blog post about it, I will link that down below,

but I read that I felt so compelled to support this work.

This story is about a potentially bisexual girl named Mattie, who is cast to play Romeo

in her school's production of "Romeo & Juliet." And the new girl, who she might be seriously crushing on,

is cast as Juliet.

I know it's the oldest trick in the book, but I'm a huge sucker for crushes playing opposite each other

in "Romeo & Juliet" and having these roles solidify or clarify their feelings for each other.

And I think it's gonna be great!

And, lastly, I wanna mention "Style" by Chelsea M. Cameron.

This is, again, queer lit, and it uses one of my favorite tropes, which is the geek and the jock fall in love.

There are two girls, Kyle and Stella. Kyle hasn't really dated any girls before, but she's more focused

on finishing school on an academic high note.

Meanwhile, Stella is the captain of the cheerleading squad and she really wants to find a girl to date

for her Senior year. The two don't really know each other, but they get paired up in their AP English class

and something between them ignites.

This checks off all my boxes and I NEED it in my life.

So those are just a handful of the awesome e-books I have that I have been neglecting.

If any of these sound extremely interesting to you, feel to free to yell at me about them in the comments below,

and command me to, for the love of all things holy, just get on with it already and read and review the damn book!

But that is everything I had for this e-book bonanza today. Thank you so much for watching this video.

I really hope that you enjoyed it, and I will catch YOU on the flip-side of the page.

Bye!

Indigenous Brazilian People - Toy Art - Duration: 4:30.

Hello! - I am Luiz Pagano, creator of the bogs Blemya and (Ame o Brasil) Portuguese for Love Brazil

My team and I have a mission, to value the Brazilian

culture in an entertaining and elegant way - highlighting our many positive

points. For this we will have a surprisingly cool initiative.

What we propose - to do something unprecedented, to gather more than 300

Brazilian ethnic groups, the multiple orixás of Umbanda and candomblé,

character such as the cangaceiros of northeast region of Brasil,

and many other icons of our culture and transform them in a serie of

collectibles toy art characters.

I have as purpose of life

and artistic inspiration the task of value Brazil and the things of Brazil For more than 10 years

I have been editing the blogs Blemya, Ame o Brasil, the wonderful life

of Santos = Dumont, Prospenomics, --- in this last one, I try extrapolate how

sustainable technology of indigenous people could combine technology with the

purpose of creating sustainable situations of minimum impact on nature,

very similar to the Japanese culture that unites tradition and modernity to

achieve goals of excellence ... – Nowadays I'm responsible for18 Blogs. Activity that

has led me to know many cities in practically every Brazilian states, as well

as several countries around the world. I've visited the Amazon rainforest,

its rivers and its various indigenous tribes... I've promoted a Capivara Parade

following the steps of Cow Parade by Pascal Knapp, - the financial return obtained

with the auction of the capybaras, was totally reverted to the campaign of

winter clothes to unprivileged people, in Curitiba, one of the coldest Brazilian

main cities. I'm also engaged in the pioneering development of Cauim,

a ritualistic beverage of Brazilian natives, made out of fermented Cassava

my idea is to create a new category of alcoholic beverages,

completely linked to the spirituality of our

people and their roots, in the same way that Sake, binds religions and traditions of Japan.

For all this commitment that I have to value my country, I've recently received a medal from

the Brazilian Air Force, , for my work rescuing the memory of Brazilian

entrepreneurship, regarded to Alberto Santos = Dumont, who we credit the

invention of the plane here in Brazil,

in Brazil we have 305 ethnic groups, speaking 274 different

languages, 15 of which are in danger of extinction in the next 50 years.

The indigenous rights group, Survival International, estimates that the ethnic

group of Awá, whose tribe is located in the State of Maranhão in Brazil

will have their culture extinct in the coming decades.

Every history, language, cultural heritage of this group of peple, wil cease to exist, and we will

not know them as we'd like. - It is an inestimable loss,

but we can still reverse this situation ....We start from the important premise that

it is impossible to preserve something that we do not know! -

for instance, You guys can't remember the 'KUIKURU' this tribe is normally depicted in some

Brazilian documentaries in 'Alto Xingu' other tribe for instance is the 'XIKRIN'

this exotic painting and plumes... this is really something of interest

The 'ASHANINKA', recently, Oskar Metsavaht of Osklen did some clothing inspired in its

graphismes and styles as you can see

The Lean Startup - 5 Keys to a Successful Minimum Viable Product Launch - Duration: 5:20.

So you're planning to launch a product?

A Minimum Viable Product.

Excellent.

Here are FIVE things that you need to know.

And stick around to the end for your FREE Lean Startup Cheat Sheet

My name is Gary Straughan

This is Development That Pays

Just over a month ago, our adventure into Lean

- that's "Lean" as in "The Lean Startup"

reached an interesting stage.

I launched a product.

A Minimum Viable Product.

The "Course of Some Kind" crystalised into

"Scrum vs Kanban - the Mini-course".

Here are FIVE things that I learned along the way.

1: Launch before you're ready

Are you the kind of person that hears

"Done Is Better Than Perfect"

or "Shipping beats perfection"

And thinks:

Really?

Are you sure?

If so, you're in good company.

Hello.

My name is Gary.

I'm perfectionist.

October was hell for me.

My task was take existing material and to repurpose it into a mini-course.

That doesn't sound like a recipe for torment.

But the more I worked on the course, the less I liked it.

I wanted to rip it up and start again.

If this sounds like you, then take a note from Reid Hoffman, founder of LinkedIn

"If You're Not Embarrassed By The First Version Of Your Product, You've Launched Too Late"

So pick and date.

And launch.

Before you're ready.

Bonus Tip:

Set things up so that the date can't be moved.

I wrote the launch into an episode of Development that Pays.

At that point, I was committed.

2: Remember that there are more moving parts than you think.

Your focus will the on the product.

That's only natural.

But a product won't launch itself.

I had my three videos.

I also had an email service capable of sending time-delayed emails.

Three videos.

Three emails.

Simples.

But it's probably not a great idea to send people direct to the video;

I'll need a page for each of them

And I'm going to need a form - so that people can sign up.

And the form is going to need page to "live on".

And….

I think you get the message.

3: Launch to a limited audience

Although it's important to launch before you're ready,

you don't have to be damn fool about it:

Not everyone has to see your "warts and all" version.

So launch… but make it a soft launch.

Wikipedia defines a soft launch as

a preview release of a product or service to a limited audience prior to the general

public.

In the case of the "Scrum vs Kanban the Mini Course", I "hid" the announcement

in a "regular" Development That Pays episode.

Only people that watched one particular episode to the 4 and half minute mark

got to see the link.

4 - Be ready to make running repairs

So launch day rolls around

You push the Big Green Button and breath a sigh of relief.

But don't relax too much!

To paraphrase a movie quote

Any time you launch a product

you got fifty ways you're gonna **** up.

If you think of twenty-five of them, then you're a genius... and you ain't no genius.

Well you may be you are a genius.

I am not.

A genius would not have

put out a video with TWO audio tracks.

A genius would not have forgotten to tell people

about the one day gap between lessons.

So expect things to go wrong….

And be at the ready to make running repairs.

5 - Remember that it's an experiment

It bares repeating:

Remember that it's an Experiment.

This one cuts two ways.

It's a reminder not to over-egg the pudding.

This is a Minimum Viable Product, not a Final Perfect Product.

It's also a reminder to measure.

Remember that your Minimum Viable Product is part of the Build Measure Learn loop.

And if you don't measure, you won't learn.

We'll get to cheat sheet in a moment,

But first a reminder of the five points:

1. Launch before you're ready 2. There are more moving parts that you think

3. Launch to a limited audience 4. Be ready to make running repairs

5. Remember that it's an experiment

Sorry Grumpy Cat, study finds dogs are brainier than cats - Duration: 1:39.

Seriously, if it has brains, I'm interested.

In this study, we were interested in comparing different species of carnivorans to see how

the numbers of neurons in their brains relate to the size of their brains.

I would bet money on a large dog over a cat any time.

They have the biological capability of doing much more complex and flexible things with

their lives than cats can.

How many neurons you have in your cerebral cortex I believe is a major determinant of

your biological capabilities, your cognitive capabilities.

What you actually do with what you have, that depends on how hard you even try.

We did find that with raccoons they are not your typical carnivorans.

For their fairly small brain, they have as many neurons as you would expect to find in

a primate.

And that is a lot of neurons.

We also looked at hyenas, and lions, and brown bears.

And that's where things got really interesting, too.

The brown bear has a very respectable brain about this big, but it only had one fifth

the neurons that we expected to find in the cerebral cortex for that large size.

I think it's very humbling to realize that we fit in nature just like any other creature.

We're still just animals.

We're still just a primate.

But turn those biological capabilities into incredible abilities.

Learn how to use the English words delusion, illusion and allusion - Duration: 3:18.

In today's English lesson, I will teach you the difference between the words

delusion, illusion and allusion. Let's get started! Don't miss a lesson! Click the red subscribe button then click the bell!

Hello Real Fluency Friends!

I'm Trisha

And I'm here to teach you Real English used in Real Life so that you can reach Real

Fluency Now. And today I will explain the difference between

three English words that sound similar. They are delusion, illusion and allusion.

Delusion is a belief that is not true sometimes caused by mental illness.

Some sample sentences are her family thought she was delusional because she started giving her products away for free.

He was under the delusion that I couldn't be successful.

Many people thought he was delusional when he decided to start a company making rockets. An illusion is

something that is not real, but it seems like it is.

Some sample sentences are: 'Magicians are masters of illusion.'.

'The two pictures are the same size, it's just an optical illusion that makes one seem bigger than the other'. An

Allusion is saying something that means something else without saying it directly.

Some sample sentences are: 'He made an allusion to being divorced so that she would know he was

available.' 'I make many allusions to a certain person in these lessons, but I rarely use his name.'

Okay, now it's time for the short quiz. Fill in the blanks with either delusion, delusional,

Illusion or allusion. Number one: You are _____ if you think he will give up before he's either

incapacitated or dead. (9noclaf)

Number two:

'She was fascinated with the optical _____ that the magician performed at the show.'

Number three: 'He sometimes talks about his rocket

but is really making an ______ to something else.'

Number four: It's no _______,

I really can become quite successful with this. The answers will be at the bottom of the description.

But please try answering it in the comments and see how well you can answer them.

Would you like more practice then try making your own sentences with the words delusion illusion or allusion in the comments.

That's all for today's lesson!

But before you go, please subscribe to my youtube channel if you haven't done that yet.

Why a Makeup Professional for Your Headshots is Important - Duration: 5:29.

Hi everyone, Susan Friesen here with eVision Media bringing you today's video eTip

and as you can see I'm not sitting in front of my computer like a normally am

I'm here with the wonderful amazing Judy from Judy D Beauty and she just

finished making me look like this with with this fabulous makeup that she just

put on and the reason for this is that I am getting my new headshots done today at

the studio of Taneane Twele Photography and so I've got my hair done, I've got my

makeup done from Judy and our next step is to get me in front of the camera to get

some professional headshots and it's been close to three years since the last time

I had headshots done and it was time to get this done again and it was a no

brainer for me to invite Judy and Taneane again to do

my makeup and the photography. The point of today's video with Judy is that

I wanted to tap into your expertise and explain to our audience

why is it so important to have a professional makeup artist do my makeup

for these photo sessions as opposed to me just doing my makeup before coming

over to the studio. What's the difference there? Why why would I want to

hire you to do my makeup. Well there are reasons. There's the makup you

use every day is definitely different than the makeup that I used here on you

The lights for one thing are really bright and tend to wash people out

and the way your makeup looks here will look different when the pictures are

developed and so you have to take that into account where I've done it for enough years now I

know what will look good here and what we'll look at when the pictures are

ready. The other thing is there's the makeup that I use. Makeup is made for

HD photography so it will definitely make you look great and dewey and

flawless and regular makeup just can't do that. This is made specifically for

that and we were laughing a while ago about your ears, yes she's obsessed by my

ears by the way, ya, you have to take into account things like that

so you can't just stop here.We have to go into the hairline, yes

but you have to do your ears - you have to go down your neck and depending on what

you're wearing you want to go down to your chest as well. Those are certain

things that you have to take into account that normally you don't

think about to every day. Right and yeah absolutely and when I look

at myself in the mirror like to me, oh my gosh, there's a lot of makeup on but

you're right when I look at the final photos that Taneane will do for me it'll

look normal but natural and so I remember back when I worked in TV

with the same thing you have to put on a lot of makeup in order to look normal

in front of the camera and most people don't have that knowledge and expertise plus the

products that you're using is definitely different from what we use at

home so I highly recommend not only should you always get professional photos done

in order to present yourself in a professional manner in front of your

business peers and your target market and all that

stuff you want to protect yourself in a way that is does professionally. Get

professional photos done first of all don't just stand in front of a lake

and have you on summer vacation, those kinds of photos don't

work and I'm talking about your social media profile photos and anything that you

do from a professional perspective when you're

representing your business, get the photos done but make sure you get a

professional makeup artist to do the photo shoot with you. I'm

so blessed that where I live I have Taneane and Judy who have paired up and

we're physically in Mission BC but Judy and I

are from Abbotsford but if you are from the Lower Mainland, give me a

call or give Judy from Judy D Beauty a call or Taneane from Taneane Twele Photography

and then it will set you up, make you feel like a Goddess by the way

or a God, you do men too and do yourself a favour and

this for yourself so Judy tell everybody how they can get a hold of you?

I guess the best way would be through my website is www.JudyDBeauty.com

And I am available for questions if you're wondering about something if you

want to photo shoot I'd love to answer any questions for you. And by

the way during today's photoshoot but

while you were doing your makeup with me, we had a videographer here, Keith Dobie

and he was taping the whole session and so if you go to Judy's website and you

sign up for the newsletter you'll get to see all of the cool tricks and tips that

she did while putting this on so sign up for her newsletter and you will get video

access, access to the videos that we did

today so that is really very cool to watch too, so thanks so much Judy, I really

appreciate you and what you did to this. So that's it for today's video eTip

until next time I'll talk you later

Liberal Blowhard Joy Behar Still Thinks Hillary Won The 2016 Election - Duration: 1:30.

Joy Behar of The View simply refuses to accept reality.

It has been over a year since the election and she is still insisting Hillary won the

election.

She said it on the air this week but got called out by Megan McCain.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Joy Behar Still Believes Clinton Won 2016 Election

"The View" co-host Joy Behar revealed on Tuesday that she still believes Hillary

Clinton won the election against President Donald Trump, a belief co-host Meghan McCain

took issue with.

The segment started with a "Hot Topics" discussion of Sen. John McCain's (R., Ariz.)

interview with Esquire magazine where he trashed Clinton's post-election book.

"He sat down for an interview with Esquire, and he would like Hillary Clinton to hush.

Because he says he felt it was a mistake for her to write a book so soon after she lost

and that he learned after his loss the hardest thing to do is just shut up.

Now, is he right?," co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked her fellow hosts.

"With all due respect to your father and whom I like very much, I think he's wrong,"

Behar said toward McCain.

"I think a woman's place is in the resistance.

The woman won the election."…

"She did win," Behar interjected.

"She did win and I'm not going to give that up."

"She didn't win," McCain retorted.

BREAKING: NEW YORK TIMES CORRUPTION EXPOSED. | Global News Today - Duration: 2:58.

welcome to global news today please subscribe and check notification box to

get all dirty news alert breaking New York Times corruption exposed it's no

secret the failing New York Times has an implicit bias against President drum for

over a year now they've hammered him with story after negative story in an

attempt to undermine his credibility with the American voters however while

the leftist bias at the publication has been obvious to many now there's video

proving how far it's willing to go in order to shame the president and his

supporters James O'Keefe and his investigative group project Veritas were

able to get undercover operatives into The Times and what they discovered

should be enough to destroy any credibility the news organization once

had from the project Veritas website project Veritas has released a video of

the New York Times video gatekeeper Nicolas tudyk who was caught on hidden

camera boasting of his lack of journalistic ethics Dudek who serves as

audience strategy editor displays a lack of integrity throughout the video

manages videos which go on Facebook YouTube Instagram for the times while

talking about being objective at the Times tudyk replies candidly no I'm not

that's why I'm here Dudek considers himself an important

player of the New York Times telling the project Veritas journalist my voice is

on my imprint is on every video we do Dudek goes on to explain what he might

do to target president Trump I'd target his businesses his dumbfuck of a son

Donald jr. and Eric target that get people to boycott going to his hotels

boycott so a lot of the Trump brands if you can ruin the Trump brand and you put

pressure on his business and you start investigating his business and you start

shutting it down or they're hacking or other things he cares about his business

more than he cares about being president he would resign or he'd lash out and do

something incredibly illegal which he would have to when the undercover

journalists tasks to dick if he could make sure that the anti Trump stories

make it to the front he replied oh we always do as

stated in the night ethical handbook the goal of the New York Times is to cover

the news as impartial E as possible it continues in section 62 journalists

have no place on the playing field of politics staff members are entitled to

vote but they must do nothing that might raise questions about their professional

neutrality or that of the times before working at the Times

Dudek worked on the political campaigns of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

keep reading according to a piece this is only part

one of a multi-part series on the holy grail of American journalism state you
