Youtube daily report Nov 10 2017

Won't somebody think of the children?

From the beginning of time, toys have been dangerous.

If it's not a Ninja Turtle sword to the eye, it's something toxic quietly slipped into

your E-Z Bake Oven.

Here are a few of the most dangerous toys that you may still have scars from.

Thingmaker

Remember Creepy Crawlers?

Sure, in the '90s, we baked our bugs and guts under a hot lightbulb, but the original Crawlers

were a lot more dangerous.

"Creeeeeepy Crawlers!"

1964's Thingmaker, which first introduced the jiggly, bakeable bugs, didn't really care

about playing it safe when it came to amateur insect-making.

First, there wasn't a big, plastic scoop to easily slide the bug mold into the oven, but

there were small metal tongs.

And the original oven wasn't powered by a light bulb.

Instead, it was plugged right into the wall, which could make it reach temperatures as

hot as an actual oven.

Once the bugs were done cooking, you removed the metal molding tray from the metal oven,

using metal tongs.

That's piping hot metal coming at you from all sides, kid.

"You've got bugs!

Squiggly, squishy bugs!

It feels so soft and natural."

When they reinvented the Crawlers for '90s kids, they relaunched with an action figure

line and an animated series.

"With Shockaroach, Squirminator, and Spooky Goopy by my side, I will control The Creepy

Crawlers forever!"

And in the '90s and beyond, third degree burns just weren't as cool anymore, and safer spookiness

at light-bulb temperatures became all the rage.

"We had a saying when I grew up: 'Learn with the Creepy Crawler maker, burn with the Creepy

Crawler maker.'"

Sky Rangers Airplanes

RC planes generally carry their own set of risks, and the Sky Rangers Park Flyer RC plane

was a pretty standard bearer of head injuries from above, but with one ridiculous twist:

the battery pack in the plane's tail had a knack for exploding before or during launch.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were 45 reports of exploding planes,

resulting in injuries to the eyes, ears, hands, face, and even chest due to debris flying

everywhere.

It was basically like flying a Michael Bay movie.

"Awesome barbecue, awesome pool."

In 2007, Estes-Cox, the company behind the Sky Rangers plane, issued a voluntary recall

of over 21,000 planes.

But not every Sky Ranger plane was recalled; if it had a warning sticker, it was okay.

The plane might still explode, but at least they gave you a heads-up.

Slip 'n Slides

"Wild wet ride, Sliiiip, slip and slide, you can put it on your lawn, turn the water on…"

Running and sliding headfirst into a slippery sheet of water is the perfect way to cool

off on any summer day… if you're a kid.

If anyone other than a child uses a Slip 'n' Slide, they risk slip-sliding straight into

a concussion.

According to the CPSC, if a larger person were to use the various Slip 'n Slides produced

before 1993, they risked serious injury.

Instead of sliding, adults would just hit the ground hard — and stay there, potentially

compressing their spinal cords in the process.

Between 1973 and 1991, at least seven adults and one teenager suffered severe injuries,

including various forms of serious paralysis, and every year since then, that number has

grown.

Nobody wants to risk debilitating injuries from playing on a kid's toy, so WHAM-O wound

up recalling over nine million slides.

Slip 'n Slides are still a thing today, and even though they make it perfectly, 100 percent

clear that nobody over the age of 12 should use them, critical injuries still occur.

It's just too hard to resist.

Polly Pocket

Of all the toys in the world that could harm your children, you'd think Polly Pocket would

be on the bottom of the list.

What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty, as it turns out… if your kid liked to eat magnets.

According to the CPSC, Polly Pocket play sets sold between May 2003 and September 2006 were

at risk of having the magnets inside the toys come loose.

Those would then end up in noses, ears, and stomachs.

But if a kid swallowed more than one magnet, they could actually attract each other inside

the body, risking severe intestinal blockage, infection, or perforation.

The CPSC mentioned around 170 cases of rogue magnets, which resulted in three cases of

hospitalization.

Mattel recalled millions of play sets, and since then, they've made efforts to keep all

of those tiny magnets in the toys — and not inside kids.

Aqua Dots

Whether you hate plastic or you're worried about lead in toy paint, it's worth being

careful about chemicals in toys.

But you probably don't worry about legit drugs in children's toys — because no one would

do that, right?

"What can you dot then spray for fun that stays?

Aqua Dots!"

In 2007, the makers of Aqua Dots, also known as Bindeez Beads, kinda, sorta put drugs in

toys.

"Scientists say a chemical in the toy becomes a powerful date rope drug if it is swallowed."

The small beads are used to make cool crafts with neat designs… but if you swallow the

little candy-like orbs, you could go into a coma — and possibly die.

That's because the toys contained a chemical that the body can metabolize into GHB, a drug

that causes amnesia and blackouts.

Over four million of the toys were recalled, reformulated, and re-released without deadly

chemicals — because it's hard to make a happy toy commercial when you have to list

side effects like comas and death.

Clackers

Whether people called them knockers, click clacks, clackers, or any other similar name,

this toy was nothing more than two acrylic balls attached to a long piece of string.

"The new toy for the trendy, technological age."

Take the string in the middle, move your hand in an up-and-down motion, and you could produce

a pretty satisfying banging sound that could drive your parents absolutely insane.

Swinging small acrylic balls at high speed may not seem like a safe activity by itself,

but the problems got worse when these balls reach their inevitable breaking point and

slam into each other hard enough to shatter.

When you expect a satisfying "bang" and instead are given splintered ball bits in your eyes,

you might not be playing with the safest toy in the world.

These little guys were made in the 1970s and didn't make it very far into the following

decade due to most parents' desire to keep shrapnel out of their kid's faces.

Seems legit.

My Phone Can Help Fix a Car? - Duration: 2:30.

Rev up Your Engines!

Today I'm going to show you how you can fix your car with your phone,

and I'm not talking about calling up your mechanic to come fix it either,

even the cat wants to know whats going on, I'm talking about using one of these wireless

communication devices, to analyze problems in your car,

in this case, it's called a Blue Driver, now there's tons of these little OBD readers

out there, my advice, don't buy the $10 or $20 ones,

they don't do much, this particular one is $90 and it does a whole

bunch of stuff, as I'm going to show you, you just plug it in the data port, right here,

you can see it's on, it's blue now, then start the car,

then you can access all kinds of information, in this case we are going to read codes,

we have all kinds of choices, in this case, we are going to do the whole system,

and in this case there is no codes, I know that because this is my car,

but if there were codes, you can also clear them after your fix it,

and it automatically clears codes, and if there were codes, it will show you

the freeze frame data, it will tell you with smog check whether it

will pass the emissions test or not, and as it says here, you passed the test and

you can get your vehicle smog checked now, and it even does mode 6 data, which is very

complex data on your car, to find out if you have a weird problem, you

can pinpoint it this way, and as you can see here, they are all check

green, if you go through them all and they are all

green then, they are all fine, if there is a problem in the system, it won't

be green anymore, it will be yellow or red, and then you know to check that system,

and perhaps the coolest is vehicle information, check this out,

it gets your VIN number it check through your car, it can tell you if there is any recalls,

and in this case there is three, one for air bags, one for engine, and one for equipment,

it shows that there is a recall for the main computer,

so if you ever have a problem with the main computer on this vehicle, Toyota has to replace

it for free, now you know,

it even includes service bulletins, look at this,

it shows you known problems that we mechanics know all about,

and that is a lot of information that's really in depth, that anybody might want to know

if your going to fix your own car, these Blue Driver guys are serious, they are

always updating their information, it's worth the $90, you buy a $10 or $20 one,

you get a little bit of information, but nothing like this,

so now you know how to use your phone to fix your car, just don't try using it as a screwdriver!

HOW DO I GET BIGGEST REFUND / INCOME TAX TIPS #6 / W2 EXPLAINED / WHAT IS FEDERAL WITHHOLDINGS - Duration: 7:51.

yo yo yo CPA strength here back with another video my best video yet yeah you

know it is what's this w2 explained what about a w-2

well if you get a w-2 I want you to take away look in box number two on every w-2

this box number two right here after one box number two federal income tax

withheld what is federal income tax withheld well let's just say well I want

to tell you before I go into what it is if there's a number here please look

into filing your tax return that's the most important thing that I

want to say in this video because if there is a number here and your honor w2

you are probably not going to oh but you might but if you but you probably will

get a refund so definitely look into this or there's a very good possibility

that you'll get a refund if you have a number in box number two federal income

tax withheld federal income tax withheld is an amount deducted off every weeks

paycheck or one of every paycheck that you get maybe whenever you get paid a

paycheck now w2 you get these if you're an

employee you know you go somewhere you clock in your boss tells you when you

can leave whatever nine to five forty hours a week you get a paycheck every

Friday at the end of the year you get a w-2 and it would have the accumulation

of all your paychecks on there but you notice if did I know you notice well I

know you know how to see if you get it W tubes I know you I know you're gonna

notice what I'm telling you next when you use you sign up for your job

whatever your bus is ten bucks an hour you're like great forty hours a week

that's four hundred dollars then you get your paycheck and it's like three forty

you're like yo where's that sixty homes that money comes out of Social

Security Medicare and you know you pay these in every and you don't have it you

don't have a choice it's not this is 6.2 percent this is 1.5 for somebody you

don't have a choice about how much Social Security or Medicare or if you

can wait till later or whatever they take that certain amount every paycheck

you do have a choice about how much federal income tax is withheld that's

why I say look to see if there's a number taken subtracted from it what

they do is when you fill out a w-4 and maybe we're looking at w-4 if anybody

wants but everybody wants me to go over W for a comment down below look at our

w-4 let me let me know please but where is it oh so the purpose of the w-4 is to

try to figure out the how much federal income tax that you need to be withheld

to get a little bit of a refund or about to break even and that's what they're

trying to figure out so it's always different I just want you to know on a

w-2 because I looked on a couple w2 explained and they just they went over

like the ein number over here and your address in your name and your social and

your stay in this and then they went over everything but like um this is

really I don't know this is for the person you know who usually just

crumples up their w-2 and throws it away and thinks they're getting over on

somebody but in essence because you've never heard anything about it well think

about it if if your do if you're due a refund the government doesn't even care

so you might just be throwing your money away so I want you to look over here and

see if you have federal income tax withheld now I'm going to do a very

quick and then I'll be out all as a 7-year tax preparer I'll tell you what

if you're a single person you come in you make sixteen thousand five hundred

dollars I know for a single taxpayer the standard deduction personal exemption is

about ten is about 10,500 so you would have about

$6,000 taxable income I know that you'd probably be in the ten percent tax

bracket from that so six ten percent of six thousand six hundred dollars so I

know you would all about six hundred dollars to the government with these

facts making this much money being a single person you would all about six

hundred dollars so with me looking at this uh w2 real fast I would know that

you would are you're gonna owe six hundred dollars but wait but wait you've

already given that you've already given the government $2,100 throughout the

year so you would you would probably be getting back about fifteen hundred

fifteen hundred dollar refund guarantee you're gonna get a thousand fifteen

hundred maybe more thousand probably yeah fifty learned I'll refund so I mean

oh I even am I telling anybody anything new does everybody know this I feel like

whenever people come to me they don't know anything about their w-2 they have

no idea and they figure out like the refunds made out of thin air which it's

not the one takeaway is I want you to know that where the federal income tax

withheld is on your w-2 and when you get your w-2 this next year in January

sometime or when you get Nick w2 I want you just to look at this is the the Box

one I want you to look at a couple things box one box three and box five

are probably going to be the same unless you have a 401 K or something like that

we're not worried about that for a very very basic these might be the same this

might be a little less you might be taxed but anyways that this is this is

generally your gross amount this is that four hundred dollars this is that ten

times ten dollars an hour 40 hours a week this is a $400 right here that's

that gross so just look at that that's what every every week times 52 made up

this is an end so I just want you to look at that very

briefly know what that is if you're single subtract about 10,500

from this number then go over here to the box number two the federal income

with federal income tax withheld and be cognizant of this number because you

know what this is what you've given the government on here and it's on a

voluntary basis a lot of people are 1099s a lot of people haven't paid their

taxes on the 1099 it's because you have you do that at the end of the year and

that's on them and people are scumbags and don't do anything so you know if you

get a w-2 you've already paid in so much you know this is your money you know you

would get $1,500 off this tax return so I implore you to be cognizant of your

federal income tax withholdings because it's not the same for everybody it's

different it depends on how you fill out your w-4 but this is long enough anyways

this is CPA strength tell tomorrow I love doing this I hope I helped you

deuces

The Woodpecker Ep Rip fence for my bandsaw - Duration: 6:33.

Hi, on The Woodpecker today, I'm making a very simple rip fence for my new bandsw.

Sometimes it's useful to have a rip fence while ripping pieces of wood with a bandsaw.

On my other saw, I made this one that works at two different heights.

It was held onto the saw with powerful magnets.

But since my saw doesn't have a metal table; this won't work.

That's the reason why, I've put a rail on my table.

To make this rip fence, I'll only use cut offs from my bandsaw.

I want these two pieces just like that.

The first thing to do, is to cut the big block to the same height as the small one.

And remove its hole.

Now, I can glue both of them together.

While this dries, I cut and rip more wood for the medium and tall fences.

Now that I have both sides, I can glue them together.

While the glue dries, I cut another piece of maple for the small fence.

To hold the small fence to the first two pieces that I've glued, I need to make a knob.

So after tilting the bandsaw table, I make a new insert so I can cut the corners of a scrap piece of wood to make my knob.

Then, I put that on the lathe and turn it round.

Next, I drill a hole so I'll be able to insert a nut into it.

Turn it around and give it the shape I want.

Now that I have a knob, I pound a nut into its hole.

OK, the nut is in place; but not before cracking the wood a little.

This is not a big deal; but to be safe, I push some glue inside the crack.

OK, now that all my glue-ups are dried, I can assemble the rip fence.

First, I mark where I want the pivot hole.

And drill it, both pieces at the same time.

I'm going to use this bolt to keep them together, so I need to drill some holes so I can recess the head into the fence.

Humm, when I try this I can see my holes were not deep enough.

I drill them deeper; and now it's perfect.

I have enough thread so I can screw the knob.

But I have one small problem; even if I screw this as hard as I can, the fence can still move.

To fix this, I'm going to use some non-slip tape; in fact it's some left over from the one I've put on the steps at the cottage.

The first thing to do, is to cut two square pieces to the same width as the small fence.

Then stick them in place.

After drilling a hole into it, I can try my fence again.

Now the fence can't move.

This will work just like this.

I just need to drill two holes to hold the fence to the T track.

Now, I can try this.

And after screwing it in place, I can try my rip fence for the first time.

This is perfect for thin pieces of wood.

But this is not tall enough for thicker pieces of wood.

So it's time to add my second glue-up.

But before I can use it as a tall fence, I need to cut its bottom square.

Then both edges.

And now, I have a medium height fence on one side

and a tall one on the other.

But to use it, I need to screw it to the small fence.

To do so, I drill two screws' holes.

Then, I chamfer the holes on both sides.

Next, I mark the holes' position on the small fence and drill pilot holes.

And finally screw the tall fence to the small one.

And here's how my new fence is working.

It's not fancy, but it does the job.

And don't forget to come back for the next episode of The Woodpecker.

Les Brown - How to Start Thinking Big (Les Brown Motivation) - Duration: 11:49.

you

LES BROWN► I want you really right now once again start thinking about your goals and

about your dreams and as you begin to envision them one of the things that I

think it's very important that we have to always go back to as you look at your

goals and dreams and and I want you to expand them and it's very important to

realize that I found that most people fail in life not because they aim too

high and miss most people fail in life because they did just like I did for so

many years they aim too low and hit they didn't believe in themselves

so I want you right now as we begin to think about the lessons and all the

things that you've experienced and all of the comments and stories and

strategies and lessons that you've had I think it's time to revisit and look at

your goals and dreams and let's raise the bar I remember as a kid we would be

in the backyard and we would play jumping somebody would get on webside of

stick my sister and then my brother we were running we're jump over it and

then they'd say raise it up a little bit higher we have to back up and we run

away jump over to get it and then we say raise it up a little higher and the

higher it got we had to begin to change our approach and how we're going to get

over the bar and that's the same thing in life and so right now I want you to

think about your goals and dreams as you begin to raise them a little higher and

I want you to stay with me it's possible it's possible you know the easiest thing

that I do is speak and train people how to speak go into prisons and juvenile

detention centers into high schools and colleges speak before thousands of

people I can do that in my sleep let me share

with you the the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life and it took me

years to do and that was to believe that it was possible to believe that I can do

given my circumstances born in abandoned building on the floor being adopted

being labeled educable mentally retarded failing twice in school no college

training never worked for major corporation to believe that I had

something of value to say that somebody would want to listen to me to believe

that that somebody would pay me to talk to them have you ever thought about

something you wanted to do and you talked yourself out of it

I remember going to see Zig Ziglar who I consider the number one motivational

speaker in the planet and dr. norman vincent peale when he was alive in

robert schuller i see them and i would be so pumped up

and inspired after hearing jim ron who recently passed one of the great

motivational speakers of all time and and Charlie tremendous Jones and and I

would go to my car pumped up saying yes yes yes I can and then after a while my

mental conditioning would kick in and it would say less fun you can't do that you

don't have a college education that's brown you can't do that you you know

your parents are that's wrong you can't do that you feel twice in school come on

you ever thought about something you wanted to do and you talked yourself out

of it there's a proverb that says if there's no enemy within the enemy

outside can do us no harm that's why it's important that you make it a point

every day to listen to Paul to listen to me to review these lessons to to get

them deep not only in the conscious mind but the subconscious mind and get them

in your spirit well how often should I do it do it until you aren't producing

the results that's how often you should do it and

and you never stop because once you stop that's when those negative thoughts will

come back once you stop that's when you will begin to doubt yourself once you

stop I'm telling you what I know yes everyday it's a selling job on you it's

possible I can do this I can make this happen no matter how bad it is or how

bad it gets I'm going to make it it's possible yes your dream is possible say

that to yourself every day feed your mind with words that you write in words

that you hear and words that you speak to yourself feed your faith and your

doubts will starve to death say to yourself it's possible it's

possible it's possible even when you have no evidence to point to say to

yourself it's possible there's nothing as powerful as a made mine it's a

struggle some time to do that especially when you have people around you telling

you that it's not possible that you can't do it and they're constantly

pointing out your failures of the past constantly reminding you of all of the

things that you don't have going for you I'm reminded of the story of the two

little boys that were playing on some ice during the winter and and and as

they got further out on this ice one filled through the the thin ice and and

so the little fellow that was still on top of the ice he was trying to save his

little buddy and he couldn't reach him he was trying

to pull him he could see him through the thin ayah says he got further away from

him struggling and and he couldn't reach him and is trying to break the ice and

he couldn't do it he looked around and he saw a tree in the distance and he ran

and then he got up on the tree and and he pulled and broke down an enormous

size branch and came back and and savagely begin to beat that ice and

broke it and and miraculously he saved his friend and when the paramedics came

and they were able to revive this little boy they were scratching their heads

they're trying to figure this out said how could this little pruning fellow go

up in a tree and break off a branch this size and then come back

beat and break the ice and save his friend they thought it was just

miraculous baffling and an old guy who was there said I can tell you how he did

it and then said how how did he do it and

he said there was no one here to tell him that he couldn't do it

whoa what could you do what could I do what could all of us do if we did not

have the naysayers in our lives that that we believed naively like that

little boy that it was possible what would you do if failure was not on the

table do you realize that 87% of people allow the fear of failure to outlive

their desire to succeed because they've been convinced by the evidence by being

practical by being illogical by being realistic I did that Leslie yes you're

gonna speak for corporations yes Leslie do they have a college education

yes do you Wesley you know that I don't have a college education Leslie are

these people experienced yes are there people with PhDs and MBAs that they

could choose rather than choose you yes so you don't have a college education

you have no experience you're talking about becoming a speaker and they're

going to reach over people with PhDs and MBAs and years of experience and choose

you are you being realistic come on Leslie come on Leslie you can't do this

my brother if he is he's a wonderful person and and and he constantly

reminded me that I I couldn't do what I'm doing now and but that really wasn't

a bad part the real bad part was I convinced myself that I couldn't do it

not only because of those things that he pointed out being practical and

realistic but also that within myself I didn't believe what Mike Williams my

mentors was possible for me have you ever had

somebody who believed and saw something for you that you didn't see for yourself

and here's how I escaped that I discovered but sometimes you have to

believe in somebody's belief in you until your belief kicks in so here's

what I am believing for you the goals that you right now have the things that

you have envisioned for yourself this is a reflection what you've done thus far

and what you are engaged in doing it's what's possible for you right now but

there's even more you don't even know what's in the future I has not seen ear

has not heard if you believe in yourself if you constantly remind yourself after

every defeat after every setback every time you get knocked down I've got a

saying if life knocks you down try and land on your back because if you can

look up you can get up see a lot of people because of failure they stop they

stop believing let me share something with you you will fail your way to

success yes eight out of ten millionaires have been financially

bankrupt you will fail your way to success it doesn't matter how many times

you fail it doesn't matter how many times people tell you that you can't do

it it doesn't matter if you don't have a dime in the Bakke you will fail your way

to success what's very important is you you're believing in yourself you're

constantly saying somehow someway I'm going to make it our number lady out of

Detroit Michigan they call her Martha Jean the Queen and she had a

motivational message she gave all the time on the radio and the question she

would ask was do you really want to win hmm do you really want and she said if

you really want to win in life you've got to believe in yourself when no one

else does you've got to believe in yourself

see it's easy to believe in yourself and to have faith if you have a good bill of

health if your relationship is working out fine if you have money in the bank

if you have a secure job if your mortgage notice paid current if the

children are acting like they have good sis it's easy if you go to a doctor they

say Oh you do a real good I'll see you next

year it's easy to have faith then let me tell you when when it's really tough to

have faith when you lose your job when you lose your retirement when you go to

the doctor and they look at you and say you have cancer cancers it's the most

feared word in seven different languages that's when it's tough to have faith

then and that's when you need to call on your faith in they said faith is the oil

that that takes the friction out of living that's when you need to believe

in yourself then and judge not according to appearances and say to yourself it's

possible it's possible I can make it it's possible I'm going to get through

this it's possible I'm not going to allow this to get the best of me yeah I

don't know what you're up against I don't know what you're facing but here's

what I do know you've got something special you've got greatness in you and

I know it's possible that you can live your dream

I Feel Lost When Learning Programming! - Duration: 7:48.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got an interesting question.

It's actually going to be a somewhat technical question.

Some of you that had been waiting—some of you, you leave these messages on the channel.

"I subscribe to your channel because I wanted to watch programming videos and you keep on

making all these videos about other stuff."

I don't even know what to say to you like how many—have you seen my videos?

Oh, gosh.

It's funny but you know what?

I don't know why you're sticking around, but it's fine but here you go.

This will help you.

It will make you feel better that you subscribed to a channel called Simple Programmer.

Maybe I should just the name.

This is a request to keep it anonymous, but you can give me a fake name.

I'm going to say this is from Bob.

Bob writes, he wants to know how not to feel lost while learning the code, which a lot

of people have this problem.

"I'm learning the mean stack from different online courses and tutorials.

The problem is there are way too many technologies, languages and frameworks to learn."

No kidding.

I agree with you."

Also, every course that I've ever stumbled upon is usually incomplete.

They teach some random basic terms about the language/framework and that's it.

How can I learn to build a complete software or create a GUI, graphical user interface,

just by writing a few lines of code in a browser code editor?

I'm feeling kind of lost and confused.

Thank you."

You are feeling a little bit loss if you think you're going to create a program from the

few lines of code.

I don't know if that's—I don't know if we're there yet.

I don't know if I'd want to hire you as a developer who creates a program from a few

lines of code.

I have a feeling that the code will be pretty obscure and—I've seen some of the competitions

where they squeeze the code into like one line, but let's not do that.

As far as what you're talking about here, as far as you're trying to learn mean stack,

it doesn't matter what you're trying to learn.

There are so many technologies, and frameworks and all of this.

I'm with you.

This is something that is a big struggle for software developers.

Back in the day when I was learning to code, there wasn't very many options and there

wasn't very many options to learn.

I mean when I was learning C, there's like five books on C. That's it or C++.

There wasn't very many and you read all the classic books.

I mean you learned about boost framework and STL, but there wasn't much like you could

read the MCN journal or the dubs, whatever it was and you can kind of stay up about some

industry.

There's good and bad.

It was good because I knew what I needed to learn and I wasn't overwhelmed by all this

technology and framework and stuff because it wasn't—there wasn't that many options.

It was bad because there weren't very many resources.

It was difficult to find a free content.

There wasn't YouTube.

There wasn't blogs out there that had a lot of information out there.

There even wasn't a lot of books out there.

A lot of times, to get really high level stuff, you might have to pay for consulting and stuff

like that.

Good luck finding those people.

Today, let's go to today.

Today, what you have is you've got a lot of stuff.

You got a lot of noise.

Signal the noise ratio.

Noise, you've got a lot of noise, but it's a huge advantage because there's a lot of

resources and there's a lot of free sources.

There's a lot of good paid ones as well.

What I'm going to do si I'm going to guide you in a couple of steps here.

First of all from the top, first of all, looking at the philosophy of this, what do you have

to do pragmatically?

Pragmatically, what you have to do is you have to narrow your scope and you have to

be really focused on what you're going to learn.

Don't be distracted by all the frameworks and technology.

I'll tell you this.

You're never going to know at all.

You can't know it at all.

No one knows it all.

Today is the era of the specialist, not of the generalist.

You cannot know it all.

What you can do is you can pick a really thin slice and you can be really, really good at

that and that's what's going to get you the big bucks.

That's what's also going to shorten the time that it's going to take you to learn.

I'm going to point you to two resources that are going to help you with this.

First is the course that I created called 10 Steps to Learn Anything Quickly.

Go check it out if you haven't.

You don't have to buy the course, but it gives you a process, not just for learning

quickly because it's not that you need to learn quickly in this case.

It's that you need to learn focused and it gives you a process that will help you to

focus to make it so that the scope, all the stuff, this noise out here, that you narrow

it down and you hone in on exactly what it is you need to learn and you create a plan

to do that, because that's the only way you're going to move forward and make progress.

I'll tell you.

It's funny that you said in this email that there's always courses out there, but all

of them are incomplete or they're teaching different pieces.

There's no complete thing.

That's true.

This is how the world works.

This is why knowledge is valuable and learning on your own is difficult.

The most valuable skill you can learn in your life, again, that's why I say get that course,

is to learn to learn.

You have to—no one teaches you this in school.

You have to learn how to learn.

That's why I put together the course because I had to learn this the hard way.

After doing like 55 Pluralsight courses which you can check out here, by the way, that's

the other resource I want to point you to is Pluralsight has a lot of really good content.

If you're looking for video tutorials, I did courses on there.

That's why I vouch for them.

That doesn't even matter because there's a ton of stuff out there.

It's not that you can't find the information.

If you want to find some good ones, those are the ones that I would recommend, but my

point is this, is that you've got to narrow the scope down and you've got to focus on

exactly what it is you're going to learn and have a good process for doing that.

Once you do that, then it will be easy.

You're going to piece together the pieces from different resources.

When I learn something, I don't read a book cover to cover and that's one of the tenets

that I talked about in this course, by the way, is I don't do that.

That doesn't make sense.

That's a waste and it's usually incomplete to some degree.

Instead what I do is I find pieces here.

I want to learn about something.

I'll find a video tutorial here and I'll find parts that are relevant to me.

I find a book here, parts of it that are relevant to me.

I find someone I can ask questions to, a mentor, and I ask them certain questions that they

can answer, that they're an expert in.

I get all of these resources together.

The way that that works, the only way that it can work is that I already have a plan

ahead of time.

I know what it is I'm going to learn.

I know what my goal is.

I always tell you this here on this channel is that you always need to learn X so you

can do Y.

If you don't have a Y, you don't have an X.

You're not going to learn X.

What is your Y?

What are you actually trying to accomplish?

Are you trying to become a mean stack developer?

What does that mean exactly?

What kind?

What kind of mean stack developer?

What do you want to specialize in?

What technologies?

What exactly is it?

Whatever you're doing, you need to figure that out.

Once you know exactly what it is, one good way to do this is look at job descriptions

and say, "I want to be able to get this job."

Good.

Now, you can work backwards from there and say, "This is what I need to know in order

to get this job," or, "I want to be able to build this app."

That's even better because now you can say, "Oh, what do I need to know in order to be

able to build that app?"

You see what I'm saying?

You work backwards and then you can make a focused learning plan.

That's the best way to do it and that's how you avoid the noise and all the crazy stuff

out there.

Like I said, you're just never going to know at all, so you got to pick and you got to

be very specific.

It's a good time to be alive because there's so much information out there, but you've

got to develop the skill of weeding out the signal from the noise, so that you can actually

find out what's valuable.

All right.

That's all I got for you today.

Go ahead and click the bell so that you don't miss any videos, and I'll talk to you next

Take care.

New Trophy Eyes, Turnstile and Pianos Become The Teeth! | Thank Punk It's Friday - Duration: 6:07.

Hello everybody, Jamie here from Start A Riot. Welcome back to Thank Punk It's

Friday here's your alternative music news for this week. Trophy Eyes released a

new song called Hurt, it's their first new material since their fantastic

second album Chemical Miracle which came out last year on Hopeless Records. This

song compared to the material on that album sounds quite poppy and quite

produced as well. Coincidentally drummer Callum Cramp has also announced that

he's left the band. I actually interviewed Callum at this year's Slum Dunk festival, he

talked a lot about the writing process on chemical miracle and he actually

co-wrote a lot of the songs on that album. It might be an explanation for this

change in direction, I don't know if Callum was involved in the writing this

song or not. As you might be aware if you're a regular viewer Chemical Miracle

was on my albums of the Year lists last year, incredible album. The drums

especially on songs like Rain On Me, Counting Sheep and Breathe You In

absolutely fantastic, one of the best bits of the album. Seems a real shame

that Callum and the band have parted ways. I'll be really interested to see where Trophy

Eyes go from here. I think the reactions to this songs has been a little bit mixed and

while I definitely don't mind the band exploring new material, I just hope

they don't lose a lot of the aggression and the energy that made Chemical

Miracles so great. Pianos Become The Teeth released a new song called

Charisma, it's the first song to be released from their upcoming fourth

album Wait For Love which should be out February the 16th on Epitaph Records. A

lot of Pianos early material was really dark and super heavy, definitely put them

in the same camp as bands like Touché Amoré and Defeater. Following off from

their last album Keep You which featured no screaming vocals at all, a big

departure for Pianos, this song carries on that sound definitely delves into the

more the emo side of that genre. I actually think vocalist Kyle's voice

reminds me a lot of Christian from The Hotellier which is a very good thing. I

think some old school Pianos fans will miss that darker heavier sound but,

personally I think this is really great I'm definitely looking forward to

hearing more from this album as well. Turnstile have released a new song

called Real Thing. They're currently on tour in the US with The Story So Far

and Drug Church, two bands that have also released new material in the past few

weeks. It's the nineties throwback hardcore bands first new material since

they Move Thru Me EP which was released late last year they also

recently and that they've signed to Roadrunner

Records for their next album. No news on a follow-up to their first album

Nonstop Feeling just yet, but I'm sure with new material released it's not far

off. New York 90s post-hardcore band

Quicksand released their first new album in 22 years today. It's called Interiors

and it's out on Epitaph Records. This band were formed by Walter Schreifels after the

breakup of Gorilla Biscuits in the 90s, speaking of 90s hardcore. He

also went on to form Rival Schools after Quicksand so this band is kind of

sandwiched in between two legendary bands, one of the hardcore scene, one of

the very early emo scene. And there's a lot of bands that have popped up in

the last seven or so years that have really been influenced by the Quicksand

sound, kind of mix of grunge post hardcore and very early emo in there as

well. It's totally makes sense for these 90s alternative bands that really pioneered

these sounds and broke the ground for a lot of bands to move into the mainstream,

to reform and release new albums, why not. They're gonna be doing three dates

in the UK at the end of November, Nottingham, Manchester and London. Two

great UK bands release new material recently Rain dropped a video for Abstract

Vision. It's the title track of an upcoming EP which will be released on Venn

Records in two weeks, the 24th of November. This is really good post-punk mixed with

shoegaze, reminiscent of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Baby Names released the single

Stones Unturned last week. Its kind of lo-fi emo, also heavy, also a bit mathy.

If you like the Pet Library album that came out earlier this year or the

Cassels album that came out a few weeks ago, I think you'll like this also.

Legendary indie rock band Superchunk released a new song What A Time To Be

Alive. It's the title track off their eleventh studio album which will be

released on the band's own Merge Records label,

former home of Arcade Fire amongst others, on February the 16th next year.

The band of fresh off headlining Fest in Florida, I'm sure everyone who was there

had a great time. And finally Waterparks released a video for their single Blonde

it's from the upcoming second album Entertainment which will be out January

at the 26th on Equal Vision Records. Waterparks one of those really

polarizing bands. They're kind of in the same

camp as bands like With Confidence and State Champs that are either heavy pop

or very light pop punk. I never really know where I stand with bands like this,

and I think a lot of people have a problem with them honestly because they

don't know where they are, they blur those lines quite lot. I think that

punk fans just like punk and they feel very marginalised by the mainstream,

especially recently. I think people in the alternative music scene feel looked

down on a lot by pop and mainstream artists. So when a band kind of stands in

between and doesn't really commit to a side, then I think people find it a

bit uncomfortable. I kind of enjoy these bands like I like pop music, like kind of

light fun I'll put it on now and then but I won't really listen to an album. I

think they definitely sit on the pop side of the fence from me and that's

absolutely fine, as long as they don't really pretend to be punk and start being

pretentious as f**k, then I honestly don't care.

And that's all for this week, thanks for watching guys. If you haven't already

Videoflash n°22 - The state of Social Investment - Duration: 3:34.

Hello, we have just returned from our conference in Montenegro,

where we looked at the link between sustainable development goals and

the implementation of the UN Convention for the rights of persons with disabilities.

Our conclusion, the inclusion of everyone in society is

not only necessary but is an essential element

for the successful implementation of the global goals,

and we need to work on it now.

Next part,

EASPD has developed a study on the Working Time Directive

and highlights that this directive hinders the successful implementation of the UNCRPD.

Find out more at our event on the 23rd November in the European Parliament.

Finally, Thomas Bignal will present a segment on how

EASPD is trying to bring investment to the social sector through

FC and will develop a high-level conference on the 27th November in the Parliament.

I hope to see you there.

Two years ago, the European Commission launched the EU Investment Plan.

The objective was simple. Help companies and local

authorities get access to better loans. This sounds like a great idea.

The problem is that our sector has not accessed the EU investment plan at all

and it has hindered innovation in our sector.

The sector has huge investment needs.

Recent estimates said up to 50 billion euros is needed

to build quality social infrastructure in

social care and long-term care. That's huge.

The main problem, is the lack of awareness and this is where EASPD came into play.

So what did we do to raise awareness about the EU investment plan?

Firstly, we launched a website.

www.socialinvestment.eu

This website aims to help you, social service providers,

local authorities and investors better understand how

the EU Investment Plan could help our sector

get access to better loans.

Secondly, we organized events at national level.

We discussed with over hundreds of social service providers.

How we together could access better loans for the EU Investment Plan.

I was amazed about the interest by the sector

in all countries where we went to.

So what is EASPD doing and recommending

to find a solution to this investment gap between

the EU investment plan and the social sector?

Well, I'm afraid you're going to have to wait a few more weeks to find our recommendations.

We will launch a report at the event that we're organizing with the European Policy Center to discuss

how the EU investment plan can further invest in a social care sector

We have really interesting speakers from the European Commission, the European Parliament,

investors and the social sector and all together we hope

to find and discuss the best way forward to help our sector get better loans.

We're also next year going to

further promote the EU Investment Plan in new countries.

In particular, in Central Eastern Europe to try and find solutions there.

And we will also organize events in the same country

where we went to this year to find concrete solutions

To tackle the investment needs of our sector in those countries.

Thank you.

L'gosseux d'bois Ep Guide de refente très simple pour ma scie - Duration: 6:25.

Hi, on The Woodpecker this week, I'M making a very simple rip fence for my saw,

I'm going to use this bolt to keep them together,

so I need to drill some holes so I can recess the head into the fence.

Humm, when I try this I can see my holes were not deep enough.

I drill them deeper;

and now it's perfect. I have enough thread so I can screw the knob.

But I have one small problem; even if I screw this as hard as I can, the fence can still move.

Pour régler mon problème, je vais utiliser un bout de bande antidérapante qui reste de mes marches du chalet.

Most Dangerous Toys Ever Sold In Toy Stores - Duration: 5:54.

Once the bugs were done cooking, you removed the metal molding tray from the metal oven,

using metal tongs.

TEMPURA IN JAPAN AT TENSUKE by Sebastiano Serafini - Duration: 5:50.

Hello guys, and welcome to a new video!

Today I'm here in this faboulous green open space,

It's November, but it's sunny and the temperature is warm

If you're new to this channel, please Subscribe, Like and leave a message.

Today I would like to talk about Tenpura,

since I'm going to eat it later, I thought to speak about that.

What can I say?

First thing is that Tenpura comes originally from Portugal

it was imported to Japan, and it became super famous in Japan.

In the early 1500's Tenpura started,

because the first Christian missionaries arrived in Japan and they brought here this tradition.

Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, at the beginning of each season,

in these 4 season, they didn't eat meat

so they were only eating veggies and fish.

So, from that they imported it here and they called it "quattro tempurado",

and they think that the name comes from tempurado.

Some people think that Tenpura comes from "temperedo", it's a seasoning / spice.

Well, last time I went with my friend Yukkua in this restaurant,

actually I'm going now. This restaurant is called Tensuke,

it's a very famous place here in Koenji

They make a excellent Tenpura, and they're going to show us how it is made.

It's also not so expensive,

so if you want to eat a good Tenpura I leave you the Link of Tensuke restaurant, or you Google the name.

So, if you want to eat Tenpura, don't forget to try it!

and let me know if I inspired you.

Who wants to eat Tenpura? Let me know!

I'm always here at 2pm (italian time) with a new video.

and see you tomorrow.

SUBSCRIBE, LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE this video.

Good, we are here in Koenji and we're entering at Tensuke.

it's a restaurant where they make a fabulous Tenpura!!!

I reccommend you to go! There are always a lot of people outside, but today no,

because we did order a table!

It's obvious that our meal begins with the Shiburi

it's for washing hands! They need to do that also in Italy!

and than we have some Tsukemono

I don't know what happened!

So now the warm Japanese Sakkè arrived.

the first piece, it's (?)

Japanese chopsticks! I'm left handed.

you take a piece, and then you eat it!

It's a show, basically

I'm going on with the eating... He did something with the egg, but I don't now really what he did

I proceed with drinking Sakkè, maybe I will understand more what he did!

This is the "elita":

squid, wrapped in a leaf of Shiso

they said to me that I have to put only a little bit of salt on it.

I love Tenpura

If someone went to Portugal or is Portuguese,

is portuguese Tenpura made like this?

I only know the Japanese one, so write an answer in the comments, if you know more

the next piece is "kisse"

it's another fish, but this time from the ocean.

we dunk them in the Daikon seasoning

How To Find The Perfect Violin ... - Duration: 9:45.

Today I'm here in the beautiful Atelier of Ulf Kloo

Who is a very good violin maker in the south of france

And here is where the magic happens...

And now we`re going to discuss the most important points

when it comes to:

What to keep in mind when choosing the right violin for you!

So, when I come to the Luthier now and I want to buy a new violin...

what is the first thing that is the most important .. to keep in mind?

Even BEFORE you go to the luthier or a violinshop...

it´s a very good idea to try as many violins as you possibly can..

maybe from colleagues.. then you will make a picture of what kind of sound might be the

best style of sound for you!

Also it´s good to make notes of the instruments you try.

Especially the instruments that you like, the aspectsof an instrument..

even ask your friend / teacher to make a Video on an iphone etc.

Especially if you record several instruments in differents locations – it is possible

to compare them and it´s easier to remember the different characteristics of this or that violin...

So really know what you want before you go

to the Luthier. Exactly, that´s maybe the biggest part of your journey towards your

perfect violin. That´s in your head- to make the perfect picture of what you´re looking for...

So that´s step one! 😊 Okay, perfect!

When you come for instance to a violin dealer and they pick out an antique violin for you,

it sort of affects you in a way ..

"oh this is really old and fine" .. it has history..

yes exactly, and you might be so impressed that you forget to keep in mind your goals,

what will be the best kind of violin for you to develop -for years to come.

It`s also really good to have your violin teacher, friend, colleague...

who you have a good connection with.. and whom you can really trust objectively

and have someone listen from a few meters distance.

Because after years of playing your own violin, you`re so used to the sound under the ear

and it´s another thing to hear the same violin at a few meters distance or in a concert hall.

I experienced it myself, one time I played a violin and it sounded very calm ( not loud)

at the ear, the voice was very tiny but in the room it developed a really great sound.

So I didn´t know this could happen. Generally you can say if you have a lot of

overtones / upper harmonics, the sound will develop quite nicely in a big hall and sometimes

that violin can sound a bit too bright under the ear and maybe not so full an warm but

in ta big hall you will get the fullness and warmth.

But you have to experiment, try the violin in different locations and later on, when

you have come so far as to have chosen maybe two or three instruments to bring home on trial..

Oh this is possible? This is normally possible, yes. It wouldn`t maybe be possible with the

most expensive, ancient violins, but a violinmaker will always give you 1 week- 10 days time

to take them home.

When you have gotten that far to have chosen a few interesting violins to try out, then you of course

go to your teacher and have a lesson or if you´re a professional musician you take

it to the orchestra. Maybe if you play in a smaller quartet or trio, you have to try

it there. To hear how it responds in the ensemble.. to see how well it blends together.. and

how you like hearing your instrument in that context, because get used to the sound of

any instrument- but you have to really like it! .. and to feel the connection 😊

Now, I think, if I come now to you and I like the sound of the violin.. I should also take

a better look on the violin, to see, if there is something about the condition.

Exactly! So what are the things that you say, are the

most important to look at? Where are happening the most things on the violin?

Of course, everything hast to work properly, but things like the tuning pecks and so one

...they can be easily adjusted or if they don´t funtion properly, you can of course change them

These are details, that you can change of course...

...like the chin rest if you´d like to change that, but otherwise it´s important

that the box of the violin is in good condition, so if you see some issues like ..

the worst kind of cracks in the top are the bass bar crack, if there´s an old repaired crack along

the bass bar .. you can be a bit suspicious! It has to be really repaired properly with

reinforcement cleats that are fit under the bass bar. It´s a pretty tricky procedure so

it has to be really well made for you to trust that kind of crack. So it doesn´t get open..

Yeah exactly, and also close to the side of the bridge, where the sound post is, if you

see some really serious deformation in the top or a crack, that´s also not so good..

then you might want to take it to a very good repair person to have a look at it. Also for the back..

Cracks in the center of the back are serious, especially underneath the sound post.

If there´s a crack here, it has to be really well repaired with a good patch on the inside,

otherwise, if it´s just glued, it will reopen!

Okay, now let´s sum it up:

So we had first Come here and know what you want. So go to the luthier and know what kind

of sound you want. Try as many violins as you can beforehand so you really now what

to expect and what you want in an instrument.

The second thing was to come with a trustperson, come with your teacher, come with a friend

but who really knows the profession and who can really say if the sound is good and who

knows what kind of instrument you need to develop musically.

And also make sure to bring a device to record yourself, so after trying so many violins,

you really know what sound was best for you and which violin you want to pick for yourself!

Have an eye on the condition of the instrument.. if there are any cracks if there are some

things that need reparation or restauration, so you know what shape the instrument is

in, that you´re going to buy!

Cheers 😊

So dear Ulf, thank you so much for your professional recommendations, what

tot hink about when you go to the Luthier to buy a new violin – it was form e very

informative, hopefully fort he audience, too.. but I think so !

If you want to find Ulf`s violins and his website and everything, it´s linked in the

description box down below, if you want to watch the Live- Concert, my sister and I played

here in this Atelier, that was so fun and so cool, go watch it now!

Subscribe , leave a comment if you have any questions to Ulf and me and we´re to happy

to see you in the next Video! 😊 Byee

Back on Youtube, some news! - Duration: 6:58.

welcome back on my channel

In this video I will talk

about what happened lately in my life

why I have been absent from youtube all this time

and if I want to continue or not

so let's start

several things happened

I was living in Yokohama with my dog

if you have seen my previous video

the dog traveled with me on a flight to Switzerland

He is currently with my parents

I went back to Japan

So I was living in Yokohama but I had to move to tokyo

for studying .

Because in Yokohama I was studying Japanese

in a language school for two years

then I got the chance to attend a school in Tokyo

Wich is called Senmongakko in Japanese

it is a Professional 2 years College

In this school I'm currently studying

Videogame Planning

and I will be a Planner of Videogames

I will graduate this March

So it's been already 2 years .

For 1 year and a half

I lived in Tokyo

In Shinjuku

With two my friends

and we shared a house there

So in some videos, especially the one in the section Nerd Shopping con Ella

it was recorded in that apartment .

From February of this year

I moved again, this time from Tokyo to Tokyo

It is still Tokyo region

But I'm not anymore in the Shinjuku district but

in the Suginami district

Suginami is really close to Shinjuku

In like 7-10 minute of train I can reach Shinjuku Center

I didn't move far

but there were a lot of changes

so now I will talk about the reason of my moving again

so first

it is because I got a boyfriend

he was my classmate and friend back in Switzerland

so he is Swiss too

we have been in a distance relationship for a year

so he joined me here in Japan

this April

so I decided to go living with him here in Japan

so we choose an apartment that was slightly bigger

than the shared house

and now I'm sharing with him

The second change are my hair

they are not there anymore.

Now they are short, I had them really long

I'm not sure if you saw them in the previous videos but

maybe I will upload the video of my transformation

so when I went to cut my hair, I got a really short bob

so why did I choose to cut them

It has been years,

I don't remember me having short hair

probably when I was 7 or 8

It's been a long time that I wanted to cut them

but I was scared to cut them

after letting them grown for so many years

and go to waste

So I decided to donate them

I found a saloon

a hair saloon where I could donate hairs

So they cut my hair and

and I donate 60cm of hair

They were so happy and they did a really god job

and I was happy too

First after the cut it was a little difficult to get use to the short hair

lately is been better

I'm sure I will get used to it

hair grow anyways so...

they will grow again and I will return to my long hair

and maybe I will do again another donation

so that was the second change

so third is what I want to do

on the channel and how I want to continue

first I decided to do this video with the same clothes I had in most of the videos

when I explain news

So I decided to start again youtube

because I have a little more time

so I want to continue filming and do videos

but since I want to reach as much people as possible

instead of talking like before in Italian

with English subtitles

I would like to talk in english

so that I can reach more people like I said before

and write the Italian subtitles

so I want to continue

I will upload some old recorded videos in Italian

So maybe it will be a little confusing but

I'm hoping I can upload all the old videos

and in the same time upload the new ones so they will be a little mixed

because I really have a lot of them that I recorded but never had the time

to edit and upload them

on youtube

so from now on there will be some old video in Italian and

and there will be videos in English

that I'm going to record from now on

On the channel I would like to continue the series of Nerd Shopping with Ella

that in Italian is Nerd shopping "con" Ella

I will probably change the name

or just leave it as it is

the other series will continue

i will try to constantly upload videos

of vlogs about Japan

about what I'm buying and what I'm doing here

so that is everything for now

I know this is just a news videos about my life

but if you are new on the channel don't forget to like share and subscribe

bye

Lesson 2 # Thank you in Cantonese - Duration: 3:16.

Hi everyone. It's been long time that I haven't to share Cantonese with you!

Therefore, today I will explain to you on how do we say Thank-you in Cantonese

There are two types of Thank you in Cantonese

The first one is "Ng Goi"

The second one is "Dor Tze"

So, what are the difference?

And, in which situation that we will apply on which one?

No worries :)

Now, I explain to you

The first one, "Ng Goi". That is easy.

When.....I give you a hand (Help you)

For example, if I open the door for you

You say "Ng Goi" to me

Or, if I borrow you something

You say "Ng Goi" to me

For example, if I borrow you a pen. You say "Ng Goi" to me

Easy?

Alright. Then,

If I help you , or if I borrow you something, you say "Ng Goi" to me

That's all!

And the second one, "Dor Tze"

This one.....there are two situation for that

The first situation,

It's like I give you something

I G.I.V.E you . Okay?

As in I give you a GIFT

For example, in your birthday

I give you a gift

Does not matter if it is expensive or not :P

Even if it is just a pen

You say "Dor Tze" to me

And....in the second (situation) , that is like when I do something for you

As in a big favor

For example......if you need money

for school but you don't have it now

So, I borrow you the money

Then, you say "Dor Tze" to me

So......if I give you something, or.....if I help you on something big

You say "Dor Tze" to me

Is it clear ?

Good! Why don't we read them again? ;)

The first one! Is.....

Ng Goi x 2 times

And the second one

Dor Tze x 2 times

Good! What is it again?

Ng Goi :)

And that one?

Dor Tze ;)

Great !

Now ...you know the "Thanks-you"s in Cantonese

So next time, if you go to any Cantonese speaking provience of China

Or if you are going to Hong Kong :)

You can use these two "Thank-you"s clearly

So, thank you everyone :)

Have a good day and see you next time !

How I Found CHEESE HEAVEN! - Duration: 6:51.

Hello, everyone!, from rural France. I am in the Jura region.

I've been invited here with my friends at the Comté Cheese Association to get

behind how the beloved cheese is made, what makes it so special, and to,

of course, eat a bunch of it. Ready?

And what better way to begin this video

then with the cows that produce the milk that turns into Comté cheese? Like this gal

right here! I spent a lot of time with these cows and I learned about Montbéliarde

and French Simmental. So these are the two breeds whose milk can be

used for Comté; not just any old cow will do!

This is the Comice, it's a traditional

French agricultural fair, with farmers and cows galore!

Let's talk to the bigwig behind this. Claude is the president of the CIGC,

So Claude, what's all the fuss about Comté?

Whoa! Incomparable?! I gotta find out more

about this cheese. Let's go to the farm because Comté is made from raw milk,

which I became very acquainted with, just wait and see...

That's Gérard and these are his cows. He's a farmer in the Jura and to hear

him talk about the milk his cows produce is pretty cool.

Gérard insisted I try his cow's milk...straight from the udder!

That was a new experience for me!

And I gotta say it was darn tasty!

Comté dairy farms make up about five hundred

seventy thousand acres in this area. That's two-thirds the size of Rhode Island!

Making it the large area of production for any PDO cheese.

Wait a second, everyone here is talking a lot about PDO, what is it?

Well you see, Katie, PDO stands for:

You see, Comté has been made in the Jura mountain region of France for over a thousand years!

I mean, talk about tradition!

And the tradition of Comté is carried on here, passed from generation to generation. Take Tas, he's in business

with his brother keeping the family farm going. He takes great pride in his cows

and how he takes care of them. He milks them himself. And there's Quentin and Anael!

They're brothers and they've chosen to join their dad's farm business. They

really love what they do, they're proud of their product, and I was again offered

fresh milk! -Do you want some milk? -It's stinkin' delicious, truth be told.

And that's the stuff that goes to the fromagerie.

And this is where it's transformed into Comté. The production process begins in

these copper pots and are then taken to their molds.

There are about 150 fruitiéres across the Jura Massif; let's talk with this

cheese maker, Vincent.

Let me introduce you to another cheese maker, Lionel.

You start to see that these guys love what they do.

Whoa! *laughter* That's heavy!

Just how heavy are these?

Yeah, they're big. A wheel weighs 80 pounds and is two feet in diameter.

The cheesemaker applies salt to develop the crust,

and then it's off to the affinage cellar.

This is where it ages, always on spruce shelves. It must be in the aging cellar

for a minimum of four months in order to be Comté, but there's no maximum, and

it's typically aged for longer than four months. So once it's aged, it's good to go!

I mean, check out these wheels of cheese! How do they know when a wheel is ready

to go? Well, they have people like José, and he let me join him in the cellar to

taste a variety of wheels going through the aging process. He takes out a little

sample and then takes notes on its attributes and marks the crust.

Wo that was an affinage cellar, right? Where the cheese is aged.

An affineur is the person who watches the wheels.

And how many wheels are typically

aged at an affinage house? -120,00 wheels. -Over 1 million of these are produced per year.

It is, after all, the highest consumed PDO cheese in France. Let's find

out why, shall we? To the cheese monger!

My work consists of selling cheese.

No wonder it's so popular! You can eat Comté any time of day. And I just did on this

trip...I ate a lot of Comté.

I cannot wait to cook with this but that's gonna

be for another video.

Whoa! I learned so much my mind is like

shaken. I hope you guys learned something, too. Thank you so much for watching this

was such a fun video to make. Leave a comment below, say hi tell me what you

learned about Comté cheese, give the video a big ol' thumbs up if you liked it.

As always, keep it quirky.

Top 10 WORST Kings and Queens of the World! - Duration: 13:06.

insanity religious persecution failed wars tortures fell domestic affairs not

all kings and queens are remembered for their good deeds stay tuned the number

one to find out who is considered the worst king or queen in history

number 10 King Ferdinand the seventh of Spain Ferdinand the seventh ruled Spain

twice that's right once between March and May of 1808 when he was eventually

overthrown by Napoleon and then again between 1813 and 1833 after Napoleon

decided to hand the power back over to him upon his return to the throne in

1813 Ferdinand set about re-establishing an absolutist monarch and rejected the

liberal constitution of 1812 so it's safe to say the Liberals weren't happy

with this and Ferdinand began to suppress the liberal press between 1814

and 1833 yelling many of the editors and writers during his reign independence

movements swept through the American territories and as such Spain lost

nearly all of its American land holdings upon his death in 1833 he was succeeded

by his infant daughter isabella ii and the country was thrown into a civil war

soon after number 9 henry the eighth of england I'm in a radiate I am entering

the eighth I am I am okay although not the worst ruler in England's history

Henry the eighth is definitely a ruler that's remembered although it's not for

the best reasons ruling from 1509 to 1564

Catherine of Aragon whom he divorced and belen who he beheaded Jane Seymour who

tragically died as a result of giving birth to a son Prince Edward who later

became King Edward the sixth of England and of Cleves

who he divorced Catherine Howard who he had beheaded and Catherine Parr who

survived over the course of his six marriages Henry took England on a

rollercoaster ride to get his annulment from his first wife he separated the

Church of England from papal authority and appointed himself as the supreme

head of the Church of England in an act would later be known as the English

Reformation the funny thing is although we separated England from Pei

full authority it is believed Henry still remained a believer in the core

Catholic theological teachings therefore it appears he went through the whole

process of breaking away from the church just as an effort to divorce his first

wife and marry the second only to a ver beheaded some years later number 8

Charles the sixth of France after taking power the age of 21 his reign began

relatively well and he improved the economic and political situations of

France resulting in him being called the beloved but 11 years later this would

all change during his first episode of insanity the king killed four knights

and attacked his brother and from there it just went downhill

Charles's episodes of insanity became more frequent and lasted for longer

resulting in him being known as the Mad King Charles due to his mental

incapacity and inability to make effective political decisions the

English were encouraged to resume the Hundred Years War nevertheless Charles

ruled France from 1380 until his death in 1422 number 7 ludwig ii of bavaria

after inheriting the throne in 1864 at the age of only 18 Ludwig had little

interest in maintaining his country's independence and two years after he

became a king the kingdom became a part of the larger German Empire

but Ludwig was still the king of Bavaria and set about emptying the royal

treasury on a grand journey of artistic and architectural projects many of the

great Bavarian landmarks today were created by him unfortunately all the

tourists flocked to them today at the time many people were not happy about

his seemingly ridiculous in wasteful spending and they used his projects to

help remove him from power in 1886 he was declared insane and removed from the

throne only to die a mysterious death the very next day

number six King John of England also known as bad King John he ruled England

between April of 1199 and October of 1216 the youngest of five sons of king

henry ii of england he became his father's favorite after a failed

rebellion by his elder brothers between 1173 and 1170 for originally not

expected to inherit anything of a significance by the time his older three

brothers William Henry and Geoffrey had passed away at a young age his brother

Richard was King and John was a potential heir to the throne

John rebelled against his brothers rule while Richard was off fighting in the

Third Crusade lucky for John though Richard died while he was abroad and

John was proclaimed king of England in December 1199 on becoming King John

immediately had his nephew murdered fearing he would try and steal his

throne which was actually a typical act for English Royals he then embarked on a

disastrous war against King Philip of France

which he lost along with the Duchy of Normandy his domestic rule was also

challenging many of the Barons were unhappy with his fiscal policies and

treatment of England's most powerful Nobles and many of them begin to revolt

against the king this came to an end with the signing of the Magna Carta

a peace treaty in 1215 however neither side upheld the agreement and its

failure quickly rizzo in the first barons war John died on the

night of either the 18th or 19th of October in 1216 today he is most

famously remembered as the main villain in the traditional Robin Hood tells

number 5 Queen Mary the first of England and Ireland also known as Bloody Mary

she was the only child of Henry the 8th by his first wife to survive to

adulthood prior to her ruled Edward the 6th Mary's

younger half-brother was King and upon falling ill in 1553 he tried to remove

Mary from the line of succession because he disagreed with her religious views

Mary desired to return Catholicism to England attempting to reverse the

English Reformation throughout her short five-year reign from 15:53 to 1558

Mary's believed to have killed 280 religious dissenters by burning them at

the stake some believed she would have been successful in her quest if she had

reigned for longer but it didn't matter because her successor Elizabeth the

first of England removed any of the progress Mary had made and changed

England back to being a Protestant country number 4 Ivan the fourth also

known as Ivan the Terrible Ivan the fourth was crowned Tsar or Emperor of

all of Russia in 1547 as the first person to ever receive that title in

many ways he was an able ruler but thanks to his paranoia his taste for

blood and his love for horrifying acts he is remembered as being a brutal

known for stealing lands from his enemies and giving them to his followers

he condemned millions of Russians to live in a permanent state of serfdom and

was even known to violently sacked cities that he didn't trust one such

example is the city of Novgorod which he sacked and then subsequently massacred

its inhabitants his anger wasn't only directed at his own people though

Ivan embarked on a number of wars with Russia's neighbors Wars that ultimately

ended in defeat but if you think that was bad well it only gets worse ivan is

believed to have suffered fits of anger and even outbreaks of mental instability

it is in one such outbursts that he beat his own pregnant daughter-in-law for

supposedly wearing immodest clothing and even killed his own son by striking him

in the head with a pointed staff definitely not the acts of a sane ruler

number three queen renault Valona the first of madagascar possibly one of the

most ruthless queens in the world or even the most murderous woman in history

queen Renova lana the first of Madagascar ruled her kingdom from 1728

until 1861 although it should be noted that she

managed to keep the French and British colonialists at bay this was only

because she established a rule that was considered completely ruthless in fact

it's believed that the population of her kingdom shrunk by half during her rule

and that's not because they decided to leave many thousands were killed in one

crazy story it is said that upon organizing a hunt for herself and the

nobility she requested a road be built in front of them a job in which it is

estimated ten thousand people died definitely not a job you'd want not only

did she subject her people to forced labour she had a wicked and bizarre test

to determine whether someone was innocent or guilty anyone accused of a

crime had to eat three pieces of chicken skin before consuming a poisonous

tangina nut that would make them vomit if it didn't kill them first but that

wasn't the worst part of it if the accused vomit did not include all three

pieces of the chicken skin they ate then they were executed so much for a fair

trial it is perhaps not surprising that she faced a number of plots and coos to

dethrone her but none were successful and she eventually died in her own bed

in 1861 number 2 vlad the third although technically not a king vlad the third

was a prince who ruled while a Chea on three different occasions between 1448

and his death in 1477 also known as Vlad the Impaler you might know him as Vlad

Dracula he is most famously remembered for his barbaric acts as if normal

medieval styles of torture and execution were not enough

Vlad took it one step further by having his victims impaled on wooden posts or

burnt alive it is said that forests in which thousands of women men and

children were impaled on women stakes was known to have brought terror to all

those who saw it which is really not that surprising but what is his form of

impaling well as one of Vlad's favorite forms of torture he would insert wooden

stakes into the victims anus ensuring that it missed all the vital organs as

it traveled up the body to lie just below the neck creating 48 hours of

unbelievable pain for the victim overall it's believed he could have killed up to

100,000 people during his reign of terror his acts are so outrageous and

terrifying that he was the subject of many local myths and legends and in 1897

he was a subject of Bram Stoker's famous book Dracula Vlad's acts might be

terrifying but believe it or not there's one more ruler who deserves to be at the

top of this list number one King Lee pulled the second of Belgium although

leopold ii was not such a bad ruler in his home country of Belgium which he

ruled from 1865 until 1909 he is perhaps best remembered for his ruthless and

barbaric treatment of the habitants of the land he ruled in Africa a place

Leopold named the Congo Free State unlike other colonial settlements in

Africa the Congo Free State was not a Belgian colony instead it was given to

Leopold by international agreement and served as his own personal fiefdom or a

state land although he tried to make it seem like a nice happy place to

outsiders it was in fact nothing more than a slave state it is believed that

the Belgian force publique the military organization in the Congo Free State

treated the area's inhabitants like animals and may have even killed them

for sport although there is much debate around the true figure many believe that

up to ten million people were killed during the free state period causing

some to consider the access genocide honestly that does not sound too free to

me but thankfully his did not go unnoticed and after a massive

international campaign and high-profile legal battle he was finally forced to

hand Congo over to the Belgian government tell us what you think about
