While Disney movies may be made for kids, they are also made by adults and the adults
behind these movies have been known to hide secret messages and adult jokes in almost
all of their films.
For this list, we are taking a look at some mature Disney movie moments that kids probably
didn't catch.

Monsters Inc.
In a moment when Sully is entering a child's room to give them a scare, there is a very
adult drawing that we definitely hope kids didn't catch.
Looking at the drawing on the left hand side, Monsters Inc. is not as innocent as it seems
as it looks like the kid has drawn her mother in a pretty compromising position with someone
named "Uncle Roger".
Not only is this drawing shockingly dirty, it also might be uncovering a scandalous story
of adultery.
This is one of the more R-Rated Disney moments we have ever seen, but you have to have a
good eye to catch it!
Lion King It's no secret that The Lion King is one
of the best movies that Disney has ever made, but what is surprising is how many dirty jokes
are actually hidden in the film.
It's hard to pick just one, so here's a few!
First off, the poster/DVD cover for film looks a heck of a lot like the backside of a woman
in a bikini.
Next, there is the famous moment when Simba blows dust into the air and if you pause at
right time, the dust spells out sex.
There is also the oddly sexual moment between Nala and Simba in the jungle that definitely
caught some viewers off guard.
All in all, Lion King may just be the ruler of the adult jokes hidden in Disney films.
A Bug's Life A Bug's Life is one of Disney Pixar's
oldest movies, but that doesn't mean it isn't just as good as the newer films.
Along with quality storytelling and some fun characters, the movie also showcases Pixar's
famous talent for slipping adult jokes into their kid's films.
In one scene from the movie, a bunch of bugs are gathered to watch girl bugs perform.
One of the raunchier bugs yells out from the audience yells out to the girl on stage, saying:
"Hey cutie, wanna pollinate with a real bug?"
Pollinate, of course, means to fertilize, so it's pretty easy to understand what the
catcalling bug was getting at here.
The Santa Clause Disney has made a lot of Christmas movies
over the years and one of the best ones has to be 1994's The Santa Clause.
Near the start of the movie, Charlie is watching his dad fly off the roof and remarks, "You're
flying!"
Without missing a beat, Tim Allen's Santa responds that he is used to flying as he lived
through the sixties.
This is clearly a reference to the drug filled decade that was the 60's and it is definitely
a joke that most kids would have totally missed.
We're guessing that more than a few parents, who may or may not have been flying themselves
in the sixties, enjoyed this sneaky joke!
The Emperors New Groove Kronk is probably the best part of The Emperor's
New Groove so it only makes sense that he was at the center of the film's most cleverly
placed adult joke.
When we see Kronk out camping in a tent that was so small, it's easy to just brush this
off as a joke about his size.
But, once you realize that the tent is strategically placed over his crotch, it becomes pretty
clear that Disney is playing off the idea of men "pitching a tent" in bed.
This is one of the studios cleverest mature moments and we have to give them full points
for execution!
Cars 2 While Cars 2 may have not been anywhere near
as good as the original movie, it did give the world one of the sneakiest and most risqué
dirty Disney jokes of all time.
In one particular scene from the film, the cars are having a party.
What kind of party?
Well, a lemon party, of course!
If you aren't sure why that is included on our list of adult jokes, that's probably
for the best as Lemon Party is one thing that you should never Google.
Peter Pan Peter Pan is a classic Disney movie and follows
the story of a young flying boy who never wants to grow up.
Well, it turns out that the movie actually featured a pretty adult moment that you definitely
had to be grown up to catch.
Near the beginning of the film, Peter is dancing around in front of his shadow and if you pause
the movie at right time you can see that his shadow has his…uhm…"peter" hanging
out.
It's a very quick moment that we're guessing slipped by most kids but when you look back
at it, it's quite shocking!
Zootopia While it can be argued that Disney's 2016
movie, Zootopia, is really just an adult movie in disguise, the majority of the content in
the film is kid friendly.
That being said, there are a few moments that are definitely aimed at older audiences.
For example, in one scene between Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, Hopps makes a joke about how
bunnies are great at multiplication.
While kids may have thought this was just a random math joke, adults in the audience
will know that the young bunny is making a reference to the promiscuous nature of her
species.
The Incredibles The Incredibles is a pretty great movie and
a safe bet for parents to pop on the TV for their kids without having to worry.
That being said, there is one mature moment that may have caught some older viewers off
guard.
When Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl first meet, there is definitely some sexual tension between
the two heroes.
What starts out as friendly chatter easily escalates to a more flirtatious encounter.
A very suggestive line about what Elastigirl can do with her flexibility caps off this
scene.
Most kids probably just thought she was talking about gymnastics, but we are guessing the
adults in the room had other ideas.
Ratatouille When it comes to great Disney movies, Ratatouille
is often over looked.
It really shouldn't be as it tells a really great story and even manages to sneak it some
pretty fun adult jokes.
There's a scene in which Linguini is trying to confess to Colette that he's been getting
assistance from Remy the rat, and he reluctantly says, "I have this tiny, little, little…"
The words "tiny" and "little" prompt Colette to quickly glance down at Linguini's junk
with concern, and he instantly is worried that she thinks he has a small package.
In the end, Colette and Linguini seem to get along just fine, so it looks like there was
no cause for concern after all.
So there you have it, there is our list of 10 adult moments that Disney snuck into kid's

week at the javits center in new york
that's where New York comic-con is every
year they show up all kinds of toys from
all the merchandisers that do stuff for
these big movies not just for the DC
people but for Marvel everything else
i'll talk about the Marvel stuff during
the Marvel videos that do because
there's some guardians of the galaxy
that they showed off we gotta look at ego
the Living Planet there's all kinds of
cool shut up and take my money stuff
that you'll be able to throw your money
at later this year. ares though I feel
like this is a breath of relief
everybody was wondering about ares of
the Wonder Woman movie he's such an
important person for a character that it
would have been weird for them to not
include him in the dceu so I'm
actually really happy about this but if

couple different versions of Wonder
Woman's origin story but ares is

in the DC EU is that she can't fly and
in the trailer she does say that she has
no father but technically her father is
Zeus he helped give life to her so she
does kind of have a father but it gets
really trippy so they're kind of mixing
and matching the comic book back story
so don't worry you don't have to read
like every single wonder woman comic
book that ever happened because ares is
actually pretty consistent just in the
way that his towers were where he comes
from what he can do but the really
interesting thing about him in this
movie is it looks like he's operating
behind the scenes so here's where we get
into like Harry Potter other Warner
Brothers IP stuff so supposedly David
Thewlis from the Harry Potter movies are
most of you remember him from those
movies he's done a lot of other stuff
but he's the one that's being credited
as ares because he doesn't sound like
he's seven feet tall in this fuckin
Schwarzenegger like dude what might end
up happening is because ares can take
whatever form that he wants is that
he'll start out looking like a normal
person and then eventually we'll get to
final boss form
video game logic that wonder woman faces
her final boss he has three different
forms so she better watch out i know
there's that moment in the trailer where
it seems like she's flying this look
that big weapon that's going off
they said that this is going to test the
limits of her abilities
she's actually going to see the full
extent of her powers but just because
when batman v superman came out they
said that wonder woman in this universe
doesn't slide I don't think that she's
actually flying at this moment something
else is going on she's jumping really
high but it's her solo movie so it just
makes sense that they're going to run
the gamut of this is where she comes
from this is what she can do this is
where she's headed in the future these
are the things that happen to her the
shape the way that she thinks these are
the big buildings that she's face like
that throwaway line from batman be
superman that was so cool where she says
I've killed things that are not from
this earth she might be talking about
aries because even though he's a god and
you can't kill God's wait for it you can
actually kill gods in the comics like
geoff johns did that big run called dark
side war where the new gods were killed
off and the Justice League got their
powers for a brief period and they
became gods themselves to those powers
were taken away of course you're selling
toys for wonder woman you want people to
buy it you're going to sell the coolest
version of the character so it looks
like the design that they've gone with
is modern air like post-crisis in slight
mix with injustice because a lot of the
costumes a lot of the universe does draw
some of the aesthetic from the injustice
universe even though that's not the
stories are going with always get a lot
of questions about injustice ever since
they debut that armored looking black
costume last year I've gotten so many
questions about the injustice universe
are they doing that in the movies is
that with the dcu is not exactly they're
just borrowing the aesthetics of edges
because it looks so much more hardcore
it's like the idea of Marvel's
ultimate's universe a more hardcore
version of the family-friendly Marvel
Universe the basic synopsis for Ares
reads very Greek tragedies he doesn't
like this is actually a translation so
it's like ninety-nine percent accurate
but it says why does is create the
Amazon ares is one of the biggest hits
in the world to restore harmony between
them
who's created the Amazon that area is
reduced to slavery the Amazons revolt
with the help of Zeus who will die at
the hands of his son having had time to
find some mascara their haven of peace
Diana Prince becomes Wonder Woman by
helping Steve Trevor in a squad of proud
Carmen law in search of one who wants to
white humanity off the map with deadly
gas so that confirms a couple of things
that we've seen from the trailers ares
is helping to destroy humanity through
Danny Houston's character who sort of
like the middle boss they're using small
boss dr. poison to develop this special
gas during World War one to kill off
everyone carries himself actually feeds
off of war it makes them stronger
negative emotions so the more people
fight the stronger he gets
he actually just his presence can make
people want to fight so even just
standing around in a crowd of people
it's really cool so you get the idea
from this backstory is that a lot of
people are worshipping area super
popular but its leading to the downfall
of humanity so Zeus tries to help them
by creating the Amazons to make peace
but then there's a big revolt ares ends
up killing his father very Greek tragedy
in the Amazons are hiding out on mascara
so that ares can't get to them so
everybody just wait out for final boss
form ares it's going to be a great
battle for Wonder Woman in Italy
interesting to see how they incorporate
the gods into the future deu movies
my guess is it just because there's a
lot of similarities in the ways that
Steppenwolf looks in the comics to Ares
is that Ares is the warm-up for
Steppenwolf injustice league in the
minions of dark side because if you
thought that one God was bad what about
a whole squad of them that are almost as
powerful it just be complete nightmare
which is why you need the Justice League
in those are the nightmares that Batman
has been having but there's also a bunch
of Justice League mother box stuff
that's happening that I'll talk about in
a separate video they updated the
synopsis for justice league just to be a
little more direct about why dark side
wants to attack the earth what
Steppenwolf is going to be doing like
what's the point of all this
so it's all about mother boxes will do a
video about that later this week let me

Trump Uses Doctored Fox News Footage To Bash Immigrants In Sweden - Duration: 6:53.
Sweden has been in the news for the last several days, most importantly because Donald Trump
paid a tribute, I guess, to the terrorist attack that happened in Sweden a few nights
ago that he saw on Fox News.
Well, as it turns out, Fox was actually showing an old clip, a clip that had appeared to be
doctored of something that happened in Sweden a while back.
Donald Trump watched this, assumed it was real time, and came out and talked about the
terrorist attack that just happened in Sweden.
Well, he was rightfully castigated by the US media, by people on Twitter and Facebook,
people changing their Facebook pictures to "I stand with Sweden", people checking in
safe in Sweden, because no, there were not any terrorist attacks in Sweden.
Now, before we go any further, let's point out that Donald Trump literally got his foreign
policy news from Fox.
He didn't get it from his advisors, he didn't get it from the intelligence community.
He got it from Fox News.
Now, don't you think that a sitting president, before going out and saying something stupid,
should have checked with someone?
You know, not just what the television box says.
He could have picked up the phone and literally called any one in the planet, but he didn't.
He decided to go out and say, "We stand with Sweden.
We're so sorry about your terrorist attack and that proves why we need tough immigration
laws in the United States."
Then, this is the third terrorist attack that the Trump administration has made up.
There was Bowling Green from Kellyanne Conway, Atlanta from Sean Spicer, and now Sweden from
Donald Trump.
Now, here's where the story takes a little bit of an interesting turn.
Monday night there were riots in Sweden in a mostly immigrant neighborhood following
a drug bust that apparently went sour.
One officer did have to fire his firearm because he felt threatened, however, he did not hit
anyone with it.
As far as we've seen, there were no deaths.
Two cars were set on fire and a couple shops were vandalized as a result of this drug bust
by the Swedish police.
This was a mostly immigrant neighborhood.
This was, by definition, a riot, but, it was not a terrorist attack.
There were not mass deaths.
There were not bombs going off.
There was not a plot to do this in Sweden.
This was the result of the police botching a drug bust.
This does not vindicate Donald Trump.
This does not prove that Donald Trump was right.
All it shows is that the Swedish police screwed something up.
If you want some more context into what's happening in Sweden or what happened in the
span of a few hours and then went away, this past weekend Trump was in Orange County, Florida.
Orange County, Florida has a 50% higher murder rate than the entire country of Sweden.
Did Donald Trump go out and talk about that?
Did he talk about the American citizens committing these murders in the area that he likes to
call his Southern White House?
No, he didn't.
He is using these attacks to attack immigrants, and that's the only thing he is doing.
To be honest, Trump made his statement about the terrorist attack two days before that
riot even took place.
This is disgusting, apprehendable behavior by this administration.
This is disgusting, and we're letting it happen.
Another part of the story, though, is that the corporate media didn't even want to cover
the actual riot that happened in Sweden because they were afraid it was going to prove Donald
Trump right, but it didn't.
That's the other issue that we have with this administration.
When you come forward and say that a terrorist attack happened when it didn't happen, you
lose credibility.
You're the administration that cried wolf.
What happens when there is an actual terrorist attack, and you come out and tell us about
it, and we just make fun of you because we don't believe you because you've lost all
your credibility?
For the love of God, really, there is a children's book about this, about the consequences of
doing this.
Did nobody read that to you when you were a child, Donald?
Or did anybody read that to you, Kellyanne Conway?
I have a copy at my house, I will be more than happy to send it over to the White House
and let you read it, and see what happens when you continue to push these phony attacks
and what happens when something really happens.
Nobody's going to believe you.
The Trump administration cannot continue these lies.
They cannot continue to invent phony attacks to make us in the United States hate immigrants.
We have a real crime problem in the United States, but it's not coming from the immigrants.
It's coming from white people.
For the love of God, we had white armed men occupy a government office last year.
They took over that wildlife refuge, the Bundy brothers.
Now, imagine if we had seen that story play itself out in any other country of the world.
If we got online or opened up our newspaper to see that separatists had taken over a government
building in the United Kingdom, or had taken over a government building in Germany or France
or Sweden, we would have said that, "Wow, this country is weak.
They're stupid for letting this happen.
Why don't they just go in and take these people out?
This is absurd."
Yet, we saw that in the United States.
A bunch of white men with guns standing down federal officers to virtually no consequences.
Same thing with the Bundy standoff in 2014.
That man standing on a bridge, laying down actually, with his rifle pointed at federal
agents.
That man is still walking around free.
Had that been a black man there wouldn't have been anything left of him for the coroner
to even identify.
If Donald Trump wants to talk about the real threat to the United States he needs to go
look in the mirror, and he needs to go look at the communities that he likes to call home,
because that's where the real crimes are taking place.

of life so you know it's a good idea to
keep them where they're at

Like, at a child sleepover. Like he was a child.
Like, pajama bottoms and a, uh, V-neck shirt
with stains from different restaurants on it.
He had sunglasses on. Gloomy day.
Sunglasses, cigarette unlit.
The first big scene of his that we shot was in the pizza place,
and there was no script in that scene.
He just told me about his life.
That was Judd's brilliance as a director,
and that was Artie's brilliance as an actor.
You're my dream! Oh, you kidding me?

-What do you mean? -You said that like I was
Jessica Lange. (LAUGHS)
We needed a scene where a guy told me
that stand-up isn't always what it seems to be.
And Judd just said, "Action," and Artie just talked.

Artie is so different from me,
and that's what I think works really well.
And it's not just his references.
It's his style. It's the way that he connects with people.

What Is Human Nature? - Duration: 28:12.
What is human nature?
Why does it exist?
Where did it come from?
Did God create it?
Why is it so selfish and evil?
Few have understood this subject.
Get ready to hear the truth.
The World to Come.
The Restored Church of God presents David C. Pack.
Human troubles and evils are foretold to grow far worse in this age.
Appalling violence, terrorism and war are escalating as human nature hurtles further
out of control.
After a school shooting where many lay slaughtered, a parent remarked, "I don't understand
this world anymore."
You can understand both this world and the cause of its troubles.
Understanding human nature is the key.
All human beings possess human nature.
The selfishness, rottenness, violence and terrible evils that spring from human nature
have plagued the world for thousands of years.
The Bible states, "The whole world lies in wickedness."
The cause of this lies directly at the feet of evil human nature.
Every "expert" has a different opinion about what human nature is and where it comes
from.
Yet none know why human nature exists.
This is because they reject the source to understanding the answers to all of life's
greatest questions.
Consider the paradox!
Think of all the wonderful things the human mind is capable of producing.
Its ingenuity and inventiveness are practically limitless.
Yet it cannot solve the most basic of life's greatest problems—poverty, ignorance, immorality,
crime, war and misery.
All these—and many more—are by-products of unbridled human nature!
Many theologians and religionists teach that all humans are endowed with a "better nature"
inside, waiting to be tapped and channeled.
The Bible says no such thing!
Yet, millions subscribe to this idea.
This teaching comes from the long-held pagan doctrine of the duality of body and soul—that
all people have a pure, pristine soul locked in an evil body that serves as a prison house
until death, when it is freed.
This is an attempt to explain the root of human nature without examining the truth of
what God says.
Millions more believe the unbiblical doctrine of "original sin."
While Adam and Eve certainly did sin, the Bible teaches nothing about any "original
sin" passed on, generation by generation, to every person.
This term is a fiction of men.
Romans 3:23 states, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Every human being has sinned on his own account!
All are responsible for and guilty of their own sins—not those of Adam and Eve or anyone
else!
Adam's sin brought two consequences: (1) It cut mankind off from the Tree of Life and
(2) brought the death penalty on all human beings.
Jesus explained what comes out of the human heart.
He said: "That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications,
murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man."
Now this is a staggering revelation.
Jesus said it—so it has to be true!
And the prophet Jeremiah added, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked: who can know it?"
In other words, "who'd ever believe it?"
Of course, most do not know this about themselves, though they often readily see it in others.
Further, the apostle Paul wrote, "The carnal [or natural] mind is enmity against God: for
it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."
These are incredible statements about the minds of all human beings.
But how did the torrent of evil thoughts, which pour from people, come to exist in them
in the first place?
How did it get there?
Does God infuse human nature into tiny babies at birth?
Does an all-wise, all-powerful, loving God take innocent children and turn them toward
terrible evil from birth?
And, if God does not put this nature there, then where does it come from?
Ephesians 2:2 references the devil's power and influence upon the world: "Wherein in
time past [Paul wrote] you walked according to the course of this world, according to
the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience."
Notice that Satan's "spirit...works in the children of disobedience."
Do you see this?
Satan has the power to use the "air" to broadcast, through his spirit, an attitude
of disobedience!
His spirit sends moods, feelings and attitudes of hostility into people's minds.
These "work" to bring disobedience.
This "air power" gives the devil tremendous influence, allowing him to send thoughts of
deceit, anger, pride, hatred, vanity, jealousy, lust, greed, envy and confusion directly into
people! Revelation 12:9 states that he "deceives
the whole world."
And his cunning has been so seductive that he has even been able to convince most that
he does not exist!
The devil is immensely more powerful than most realize.
The Bible identifies him as this world's god.
As this world's god, Satan blinds and deceives on a staggering scale.
The result is a world filled with disobedience or lawlessness!
On the other hand, Christians follow God and obey His spiritual Law, which is holy, just
and good!
But how do they do this?
The apostle Peter referred to "the Holy Spirit, [which] God has given to them that
obey Him."
God's Spirit is given upon repentance and baptism.
This Spirit helps Christians obey the Ten Commandments!
We can now better understand the "children of disobedience."
Like Christians with the Holy Spirit, these people are also inspired and guided by the
spirit of this world's god.
Satan broadcasts a spirit of rebellion against—and disobedience to—God's Law.
A deceived world knows nothing of this understanding!
If you listen to the radio, you usually pick a station that plays what you want to hear.
Today, people "surf" radio or television stations, and of course the Internet.
Eventually, something interests them, and they stop and listen by choice.
People have control over what they hear or watch.
It is not the same with Satan's station.
The world—and you—do not decide to tune into the devil's broadcast.
No one sets out to be deceived.
But every person on Earth is automatically tuned to Satan's wavelength!
His wickedness, hostility, rebellion, deceit and selfishness are continually "on the
air."
Therefore, it is really Satan's nature that is being labeled as human nature.
In fact, once it is injected into people, Satan's nature becomes natural to them.
It becomes their nature—now, human nature.
Though you cannot see it any more than you can see radio waves or television signals,
the air around you is literally charged and "crackles" with the energy of Satan's
broadcast.
Just as God the Father has children, Satan is also a father with his own children!
Consider this: On one occasion, the apostle Paul labeled
a particular man: "You child of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not
cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?"
Notice that "children of the devil" are enemies of "righteousness" and "the
ways of God."
This is what being Satan's children means!
But what is righteousness?
The Psalms record: "All Your [meaning God's] commandments are righteousness."
There's the definition.
Satan's children hate, and are enemies of, the laws of God—His commandments!
Remember, they are "children of disobedience."
Revelation 9:11 describes Satan as "a destroyer."
This understanding sets the stage for the next scripture.
Certain people professed to "believe on [Jesus]" in John 8:30 and 31.
These same people sought to kill Him moments later!
And He said, "You seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you," and Jesus
added, "You seek to kill Me, a Man that has told you the truth."
Many say they want to hear the truth—but not if it means being told they are wrong,
particularly about cherished ideas.
This story comes to a remarkable climax, with Jesus asking, "Why do you not understand
My speech?"
He answers His own question with, "...because you cannot hear My word."
They could not do it!
What could cause people standing right beside Jesus to "not hear His word"?
He answers, "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will
do."
Jesus plainly then said to them, "You are not of God," and these were people who believed
in Him.
These devil-inspired religious leaders immediately then accused Him of "having a demon"!
Many today who profess to "believe on Christ" are no different.
This is instructive.
The devil is a father who murders, lies and destroys.
As the author of killing, deceit and destruction, he broadcasts these attitudes to his children
around the world!
Make no mistake!
The world is filled with the children of the devil.
Children are basically much like their parents.
Therefore, Satan's children lie, hate, murder and destroy.
Look at the world.
It should now be most clear why so much confusion, war, ignorance, poverty, disease and misery
are everywhere.
The fruits of human nature—Satan's nature—are evident wherever there are human beings.
The Bible describes the "last days" before Jesus' Return with this: "This know also
[and most don't], that in the last days perilous [meaning dangerous] times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters [listen to this list],
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
traitors, heady, highminded [the list goes on and on], lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof [the warning?]:
from such turn away."
While the world is filled with religion—"a form of godliness"—it neither teaches
the truth nor has the religion of God!
It denies the power of the true God, and unwittingly worships a being who palms himself off as
the God of the Bible.
But how did Satan come to be as he is?
Prior to the re-creation of Earth and creation of Adam, Satan rebelled against God's government,
and led one full third of all angels into rebellion with him.
Isaiah 14:12 to 15 reveals he had once ruled the earth, and Ezekiel 28:15 shows he was
a created being—Lucifer, a powerful, perfect archangel.
But how did the devil gain access to mankind?
What opened the door to his influence—his "broadcast"?
Grasp this!
Human nature did not come from God, but rather from Satan the devil.
Yet human nature is not inherited—it is acquired!
Adam's children and all succeeding generations did not "pass it on" at conception.
A parent who loses an eye, hand or leg does not produce children with one eye, hand or
leg.
The Bible refers to Adam's son Abel as "righteous Abel."
His parents' disobedience did not prevent his obedience.
Think of Adam and Eve as simply adult "babies."
Just like babies today, they were pure at their creation but were quickly exposed to
a "broadcast" they could not resist.
Like most children today, they chose not to listen to their Parent—God.
Instead, they believed Satan's lie in the garden that they would not "surely die."
In so doing, they rejected the rule of God's government in their lives.
If Adam had obeyed God's instruction, he could have qualified to replace Satan and
restore the government of God on Earth.
The New Testament instructs through an example of how human nature is acquired, not inherited.
Here is a warning to the Corinthian congregation.
Paul wrote: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety,
so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."
Once one is called and converted, having received the Spirit of God, he has put off the old
human nature of his past life.
Paul then reminded the Ephesians, "Among whom also we all had our [conduct] in times
past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;
and were by nature [get that] the children of wrath, even as others [all others]."
This follows and is part of the scripture identifying Satan as "prince of the power
of the air."
Recall that phrase.
It would be grossly unfair of God to inject newborn babies with human nature, and then
place them under His "wrath" for having it.
See this point!
Human nature is acquired, leading to disobedience to God—and this puts people under God's
wrath!
Here is Ephesians 2:3 from the Phillips translation.
It accurately describes how people acquire human nature from the devil.
Notice: "You drifted along on the stream of this world's ideas of living, and obeyed
its unseen ruler [that's Satan]...We all lived like that in the past, and followed
the impulses and imaginations of our evil nature...like everyone else."
How true!
Most people simply drift along in life following whatever feelings ("impulses") and ideas
("imaginations") that strike them from moment to moment.
Ephesians 1 is Paul accounting to those brethren their calling into God's Way.
The Ephesians had come out of the course of this world and were no longer "by nature"
the children of wrath, and no longer yielding to the "prince of the power of the air."
They were "dis-acquiring" human nature by yielding to God instead of the impulses,
pulls, feelings and temptations of Satan's wavelength.
Understand!
You have been practicing Satan's way your entire life—and have probably become very
good at it.
Believe me, as you strive to overcome and resist the pulls at work within you, you will
find that Satan's influence, in the form of human nature, is truly "second nature"
to you, more than you now know!
Overcoming will not be easy or happen overnight.
It is a life-long struggle against an attitude and way of life the truly repentant Christian
has rejected and turned from.
Remember, the devil seduced Eve through temptation.
Genesis 3:1 reveals how he tempts people into disobedience and sin.
Notice: "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field..."
Satan deceived Eve by tempting her with the beauty of the tree God had forbidden her to
eat.
Temptation never comes from God.
Notice: "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted
with evil, neither tempts He any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away
of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings
forth death."
Temptation always originates from "the tempter," working on the lusts of people.
The devil recognizes where people are vulnerable, where they can be "enticed" so that "sin
is conceived."
The Bible warns of the "wiles of the devil," the "depths of Satan" and to not be "ignorant
of his devices."
True Christians are people on guard for his schemes.
Resisting and overcoming the temptation of the devil was central to Christ's having
overcome sin.
Notice: "Submit yourselves therefore to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Like any muscle of the body, character is built by pushing against resistance.
Successfully facing that resistance strengthens the muscle (in this case, the mind).
Building character means choosing to do what is right instead of choosing to do what is
wrong.
Character does not concern itself with what others say or do.
It only concerns itself with what God says to do!
Never forget that the Christian must resist Satan, who is active at every turn.
But it is not through human effort or human strength alone that this can be achieved.
Notice: "Brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the
devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness [the Greek
says and means wicked spirits] in high places."
Many scriptures describe how human nature, unchecked by overcoming, has complete dominance
over every aspect of people's lives.
Christians must forcefully "wrestle" against the power of the devil and his demons—"wicked
spirits"—on a day-to-day basis.
They must constantly struggle against feelings of offense, hostility, envy, anger and many
other attitudes.
The fruits of human nature are evident the world over.
God states, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest [meaning obvious], which are
these [here comes a long list]; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings,
murders, drunkenness, revellings [wild parties], and such like...they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God."
Overcoming these patterns of conduct and thinking is directly tied to salvation and ruling in
the kingdom of God!
Now consider this: "Even as they [all people] did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind [meaning one void of judgment], to do those things
which are not convenient [meaning right]; being filled with all [another list] unrighteousness,
fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;
whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things,
disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection,
implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God [get this], that they which commit
such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that
do them."
Incredible!
This powerful list of wrong attitudes and conduct summarizes the condition of all humanity.
Paul wrote of an entire world under the devil's influence and sway: "There is none righteous,
no, not one [do you believe that?]: there is none that understands, there is none that
seeks after God [do you believe these phrases?].
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none
that does good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison
of asps [one of the deadliest snakes in the world] is under their lips: whose mouth is
full of cursing and bitterness: their feet are swift to shed blood [how true]: destruction
and misery are in their ways [also, how true]."
While all who are of this world are primarily devoted to acquiring goods and enjoying pleasures,
this is not the goal—and attitude—of the one who seeks God and is a true Christian.
He strives to remain in constant harmony with God's supreme, over-arching purpose for
his life.
When Christ returns, Satan, as earth's deposed ruler, will be removed.
No leader could permit a disqualified leader to remain and co-rule with him.
The old leader would constantly second-guess and undermine the new one.
Human governments understand this—and so does God.
He knows Satan has to be removed from his position of influence.
Soon now, Satan will be rendered unable to deceive earth's inhabitants.
The temptations of this world and human nature, caused by Satan, will disappear—though there
will still be certain pulls of the flesh that all will have to overcome.
Peace will literally break out all over the world.
The saints will be ruling with Jesus Christ from Jerusalem—having restored the Government
of God within His kingdom, administered by the Family of God.
God's "perfect spiritual" Law will be enforced among all nations.
Jesus will then open eternal life and salvation to the whole world, now still cut off from
God, blinded and led by Satan's nature.
This world is completely deceived, and drifting along, unaware of God's purpose to restore
His government to Earth.
Only the tiniest few who have been called by God are to be a part of this restoration.
The Government of God will soon be restored to Earth, and all who have prepared themselves
will "inherit the kingdom."
Only the overcomers—who submitted to God and successfully resisted Satan throughout
their lives—shall take part in this glorious future: "He that overcomes shall inherit
all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son."
Will you be one who inherits all things?

We were living in Los Angeles, my husband was the Assistant Director of the California
Arts Commission.
My husband worked very closely with Noah Purifoy, the artist.
He lived in Watts, he worked in Watts, and he was so shaken by the riots and he put together
an exhibition of his works with my husband.
For the last 15 years of his life, he moved up to the high desert doing outdoor sculptures
and unfortunately he died in a house fire and that was 2004.
I believe it's true, he would have found more things to continue to express himself, more
events, that would have expressed himself in his art, such as all the things that have
been going on in this country in terms of general race relations.
My husband said he was such a kind man, very intense and very much concerned and fearful
about what happened to his community, but at the same time a real gentle soul.
Well, my son actually said, "Mom, why don't you bring that?"
He said, "That's very special to the family, why don't you bring that."
He likes it, you know, he would like me to give it to him, well he'll get it when I'm
pushing daisies but not before.

No, I'm afraid not, but they do
have a very efficient charging system.
The battery, which happens to be a very Popular, BLN-1 has a good milliamperage.
It's 1,200 miliamps, so it's very efficient and you have your charging
wall wart, which works with a cable which is supplied, you can also get adapters
where you can plug this directly in, but the lithium battery system gives you
approximately 330 shots per charge, which is rather efficient and always be
prepared like I say have an extra battery with you so you can swap them
out and be able to do any kind of imaging whatsoever.
As you can see there are some third-party batteries out there
available.
I've had really good results with them, but yet again, not USB chargeable, but
be prepared, take extra battery and your charger along with you.

What's the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?
Will Medicare pay for a nursing home?
Another great question.
I wish when these programs were devised somebody would have given them different names because
inevitably there's a lot of confusion.
To answer the second question first, Medicare will not pay for the nursing home.
And let me explain why there's confusion over that.
Medicare started with President Johnson back in the 1960s, at that time, if for example,
you needed a hip replaced or something like that you enter the hospital, you have the
surgery, you recover in the hospital for a couple of days and then you remained in the
hospital and received physical therapy instructions about how to use a walker, how to sit down
without twerking your hip and so on.
Then somewhere, I think in the 80s, somebody got the idea that you know what we can provide
that therapy at a much cheaper cost if we discharge people to a nursing home.
And so now, after you recover from a hip replacement, after a few days and then you go to the nursing
home where you might receive a 20 or 30 days therapy and rehab.
Because of that, and because Medicare pays for that nursing home bill, a lot of people
are under the misconception that Medicare is going to pay for all of the nursing home.
The distinction is simple, Medicare pays for the therapy that you receive in a nursing
home setting, and it does not pay for long-term care in the nursing home.
Medicaid on the other hand is what does pay for that long-term care in the nursing home.
An easy distinction which I admit is over simplified, but an easy distinction is, think/Users/OConnor/Dropbox/Expert
TV - Thorpe Facer/2.mp4 of Medicare as health care insurance.
Part A pays for the hospital, part B pays for the doctor, part C pays for prescriptions.
Medicare is like healthcare insurance, Medicaid is like nursing home insurance or long-term
care insurance.
That's one way to keep them straight on your own line.

Hip-hop star Sisqó thinks it's time for a man who sneakily impersonated him during New York Fashion Week to face the music for his antics.
The Dru Hill frontman is threatening legal action against the guy who dressed up like him — right down to his trademark platinum blonde hair — and pretended to be him in order to get into a bevy of NYFW events, TMZ reported.
Sisqó called out his imposter — whose name is reportedly Gavin Barnes — after the man's trickery apparently put security guards' jobs at risk and led to flack for those in charge of certain of events.
"It pisses me off that other people got hurt," the rapper told TMZ.
The imitator reportedly managed to get into a number of high-profile fashion events while pretending to be the "Thong Song" artist, including Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 show.

He took things even farther by allegedly agreeing to perform at a little girl's bat mitzvah, but the gig fell through after he got to the airport and his passport didn't match up, according to Sisqó.
"You've got this 13-year-old little girl who's thinking I'm gonna come perform live at her bat mitzvah," the rapper told TMZ. "That's when I was like, 'Ok, you know what, we need to take this a little bit seriously.' So now we're taking legal action."
Sisqó did not specify what type of legal action he intended to pursue.

Yakuza boss allegedly ordered assassination of nurse over failed genital surgery - Duration: 1:15.
He's got a small problem.
In court Monday, prosecutors charged that the 70-year-old boss of a Japanese crime syndicate arranged for the murder of a female nurse over his failed penis enlargement surgery.
According to the Japan Times, lawyers argued that Satoru Nomura, leader of the Kudo-kai, called for "organized retaliation" because he "unjustifiably resented the failed surgery."
The Yakuza chief got the procedure done at a cosmetic surgery clinic in August 2012, while the victim had been a member of the team responsible for the operation.

Dumb criminals who got caught doing really dumb things
As she made her way home, the nurse was allegedly stabbed in the neck and chest the following January in Fukuoka, Japan by a former senior member of the gang.
"The motive for the incident was a personal grudge on the part of Nomura," the prosecution said, according to the Tokyo Reporter.
Far from his first encounter with law enforcement, Nomura was accused of tax evasion and consequently had nearly $8 million taken from his bank accounts in 2015 while the year before saw him get charged with the shooting of a 70-year-old man in the back in public.

The Han Solo Film Begins Principal Photography - Why It's Time to Get Excited - Duration: 4:17.
You may have seen that Star Wars released the first official cast picture of the Han
Solo film along with some additional announcements on the cast and crew now that principal photography
on the Han Solo Star Wars Story has officially begun.
So now seems like a good time to talk about what we know so far!
Present in the picture are directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord.
We've got Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, who I have to admit is looking the part, Donald
glover as Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo reprising his role as Chewbacca from The Force
Awakens, and Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge who
are all playing characters that have yet to be revealed.
Not in the picture is Thandie Newton, who was rumored to be joining the cast, but we
can now confirm those rumors thanks to the official release by Star Wars dot com.
When this film was first announced, I was hesitant to be excited.
In my opinion I'd rather see stories like Rogue One, featuring specific events rather
than focusing on characters.
I don't necessarily want to see a trend of a Han Solo movie and then a Boba Fett movie
and a Yoda movie, and on and on.
However, the more we learn about this project, the more excited I'm getting.
I am a fan of most of the cast, and I'm especially excited to see what Donald Glover
will do as Lando.
I'm not very familiar with Alden, although I liked him a lot in Hail Casear, and I don't
know Phoebe Waller-Bridge who is currently rumored to be playing a droid.
Everyone else, though, I'm sold.
Harrelson is said to be playing a mentor of sorts to Han, and many fans have speculated
he will be Garris Shrike from Star Wars Legends, thanks to the fact that Woody said he was,
but I'm still skeptical.
The story is written by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon, which is another big reason to
be excited.
He's written some of the best movies of all time including The Empire Strikes Back
and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I truly believe they will write a story that is not only exciting, but true to the character
we all hold dear.
But the real reason I have faith in this film is Lord and Miller.
I love their movies, and what's more they have a proven track record of taking concepts
that absolutely should not be good and making amazing films out of them.
Who thought 21 Jump Street was a good idea for a movie, let alone a sequel?
And yet both are absolutely hilarious.
The Lego Movie sounded like the dumbest idea for a movie to me, but it wound up being incredible.
Because Lord and Miller above and beyond expectations.
They didn't make a movie about Lego, they made a movie about what it's like to be
a kid playing with Lego.
I'm rambling, but if anyone can take a Star Wars movie that at first glance sounds unnecessary
and make something great out of it, it's Lord and Miller.
Even their working title for the movie, Red Cup, is fun and creative and goofy.
Joining them behind the cameras is a production team I'm mostly unfamiliar with, but Bradford
Young will be the director of photography, who just earned an Academy Award nomination
for his work on Arrival, which was a great movie.
Neal Scanlan is returning as Creature and Droid FX Creative Supervisor, and you can't
deny his fantastic work on The Force Awakens or Rogue One.
I have to imagine the remaining crew are just as talented.
Also worth noting is that the release date for the film is still scheduled for May 25,
2018.
If I were a betting man, I would guess that Disney will push the release back to December
2018 after having two major December releases in 2015 and 2016, and I can only assume The
Last Jedi will perform just as well.
Although I would be perfectly happy to only have to wait six months between my Star Wars
fix, I'm just trying not to get my hopes up.

In 1947, the president of the United States, Harry Truman, decided: I�m going to create
a snake and call it the CIA.
Its watchword will be secrecy.
It will collect secrets of our enemies and hold them secret and report the secrets to
the president, who will decide what to do.
Of course, the snake will remain under the president�s control.
Its entire personality will be based on deception, but it will remain loyal to the president.
No problem.
Sure.
I�m thankful for Charles Hollander�s challenging piece on Thomas Pynchon�s novel, The Crying
of Lot 49: �Pynchon, JFK and the CIA: Magic Eye Views of The Crying of Lot 49.�
SPECIAL: HOW TO FIX YOUR FATIGUE (DO THIS EVERY DAY)
Hollander offers vital reminders of the war between two parts of the Executive Branch:
the presidency and the CIA.
�Implicit in Pynchon�s fiction is the view that events in recent American history
have led to a virtual constitutional crisis, a challenge to the supremacy of the presidency
by the intelligence community.�
�When Eisenhower made his �open skies� proposal, in July 21, 1955, at a Geneva summit
conference, calling for unrestricted but monitored overflight of national territories on both
sides of the Iron Curtain, many observers felts its acceptance would have gone a long
way toward thawing the Cold War.
To make a gesture of good faith toward Soviet Premier Khrushchev, the president ordered
the CIA (under Allen Dulles) to halt its U�2 photo�reconnaissance flights.
But Dulles secretly arranged for the flights to continue.
When Francis Gary Powers�s U�2 spy plane was shot down in the Ural mountains on May
1, 1960, and Khrushchev announced the facts to the world media, the embarrassed Eisenhower
lied to cover up.
To many it appeared that the CIA chief had disobeyed a direct order from the Commander�in�Chief.
The St. Louis Post�Dispatch asked the next day, �Do our intelligence operatives enjoy
so much freewheeling authority that they can touch off an incident of grave international
import by low�level decisions unchecked by responsible policy�making power�?�
�Later, when Lee Harvey Oswald�s possible role in the U�2 affair became known, some
observers felt Dulles�s action implied that the director of the CIA was above the president
and that the military�industrial complex could do what it pleased, independent of the
will of the people as expressed by the popularly elected and duly constituted chief executive.
No wonder Ike [Eisenhower] was peeved: the CIA was running the U.S. the way it ran Latin
America.
The U�2 affair was no mere personality squabble, Ike vs. Dulles; it was two institutions of
the executive branch vying for supremacy, the presidency vs. the CIA, hence the democratic
process vs. a form of totalitarism.�
�The CIA had already planned the April 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion before Kennedy took office
in January, and when the invasion failed, Kennedy felt that the CIA had set him up.
He let it be known he intended to dismantle the CIA and assign its functions to the other
intelligence units within the government.
He reportedly vowed �to splinter the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the
winds�� Kennedy, a Democrat, forced the Republican Allen Dulles to resign, along with
other senior CIA officers.
But the CIA was too deeply involved just then in operations around the world to be disassembled.
Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, in a way that implicated the CIA�critics of the Warren
Commission Report, maybe even J. Edgar Hoover�believed the CIA had some hand in Kennedy�s assassination
and the coverup.
If it had, the CIA was again demonstrating that the presidency was subordinate to the
CIA.�
�In a very short time, two presidents, a Republican and a Democrat, ran afoul of the
CIA.
The result amounted to a constitutional crisis, a change in our actual form of government
without benefit of a duly ratified constitutional amendment.
The crisis is reminiscent of that period in Roman history when the Praetorian Guard could
sell the office of Emperor to the highest bidder and then, after a time, assassinate
him and have a new auction.
To this day, the president has never again challenged the CIA, though the agency has
made its share of egregious errors.
With the selection of former CIA director George H.W. Bush, the presidency and the CIA
effectively merged��
These days, President Trump is in his own war against the CIA and other parts of the

At least 10 women say they were attacked or nearly abducted by a convicted sex offender accused of killing two Maryland sisters who vanished in 1975.
Lloyd Lee Welch Jr., now 60, attempted to take countless young girls at a mall around the same time that Sheila and Katherine Lyon disappeared, according to court records obtained by WTOP.
Welch tried to deceive one girl by telling her he was an undercover cop, and claimed that her brother had stolen a radio from the record store in the Wheaton Plaza Mall.
"The defendant told her that she needed to come with him toward the parking lot to discuss the issue and that he wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble," Bedford County prosecutor Wes Nance wrote in this month's court filing obtained by the station.
Convicted sex offender Lloyd Lee Welch Jr. is facing first-degree murder charges.

The girl, now in her 50s, told him she needed to find her mother. Welch tried to assure her that was not necessary "and that they could work things out between the two of them," Nance wrote in the filing.
When her brother came and she proved to Welch he had not stolen anything, he fled, according to WTOP.
Additionally, two women say they were forced to escape from Welch's vehicle during an attempted kidnapping.
"Sensing danger, she attempted to exit the vehicle, however the door handles were inoperative and she was forced to roll down the windows to escape and avoid abduction," read the filing obtained by the station.
Welch is accused of attacking at least a dozen girls or women.
Welch is currently being held in Virginia.

The multiple incidents took place between 1973 and 1977, according to WTOP. Welch was accused of raping girls and assaulting them at knifepoint.
Ten women are expected to testify against Welch. An 11th woman slated to testify died, according to the court filing.
Welch is serving a decades-long sentence for molesting a 10-year-old girl in Delaware. He also pleaded guilty to abusing a South Carolina girl in 1994, according to WTOP.
He was indicted in the Maryland murders of Sheila Lyon, 12, and 10-year-old Katherine Lyon in 2015. Welch is being held in Virginia as he awaits trial.
"The abduction of Sheila and Katherine Lyon over 40 years ago has haunted this community and this police department," Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger said at time time, according to CBS News. "The men and women of the Montgomery County police department have never given up on finding these girls."

Roles reversed for a Louisiana woman and a local police officer when she spotted him being beaten during a car search and decided to intervene.
The unidentified officer reportedly pulled Thomas Bennett, 28, over after he saw him sleeping inside his vehicle and suspected drug use.
Vickie Williams-Tillman, 56, saw the suspect grab a "baton and use it to hit the officer in the head" during the roadside inspection when she decided to take matters into her own hands, WBRZ reports.
"I could see in his eyes he needed help. You don't have time to think about it... I did what God needed me to do," Williams-Tillman told The Advocate.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said not only did the brave woman call for more police, she also took her services much further.
Vickie Williams-Tillman, a 56-year-old Good Samaritan who jumped on a man's back while he was attacking a Baton Rouge police officer, is being called a hero for her actions.

"Risking her own safety, she jumped out of her vehicle and onto the back of the 28-year-old assailant. Ms. Williams-Tillman was able to help hold off the assailant until other officers arrived," the department wrote in a Facebook post.
"For going above and beyond in that moment to help our officer and possibly save his life, we are forever grateful to you Ms. Vickie! For showing so much love and concern for one of our officers BRPD Salutes you."
Bennett was cited for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
He was booked on several other charges, including aggravated battery, disarming a police officer and resisting an officer with violence.
His bond has been set at $167,500.

Police respond to reports of shots fired at Houston's Ben Taub hospital - Duration: 0:57.
Police are searching a Houston hospital that went on lockdown after reports of shots fired Tuesday afternoon.
Shots were reported on the second floor of Ben Taub Hospital around 2 p.m, leading Houston police to send a SWAT team to the scene.
No shooter had been found as of 2:45 p.m. local time, and there were no reports of any wounded, Houston Police spokesman Kese Smith told the Daily News.
Aerial footage from KHOU showed some patients on hospital beds being wheeled out of the building.

Ohio parents charged after 8-year-old son overdoses on heroin - Duration: 1:46.
An Ohio couple has been indicted on child endangerment charges after their 8-year-old son reportedly suffered a non-fatal heroin overdose last month.
Charles Dowdy and Danielle Simko, both 31, were arraigned Friday morning and are each being held on $150,000 bond, WKYC reported. They are not allowed to have any contact with their son.
On Jan. 11, police responded to a Berea home — belonging to Simko's grandparents — where the couple had been raising their son, the news station reported.
Drugs and syringes were found on the property.
Dowdy told police he and Simko were in bed with their son around 10:30 p.m. when they noticed his lips started to turn blue, the Washington Post reported.
In audio from the 911 call, a man's voice — likely Dowdy's — can be heard pleading with the dispatcher to send someone quickly while shouting at a woman nearby.

"I think he was sleeping and I think what happened was he rolled over and I don't think he could breathe," the man says. "I think he was just, like, in the pillow and suffocated."
He tells the dispatcher the boy is his 7-year-old son, though in the police report the child's birthday indicates he's actually 8, the newspaper reported.
After first responders found the boy's pulse, he was rushed to the Southwest General Medical Center where staff discovered a small bag of heroin and prescription pills tucked inside his sock, Cleveland.com reported. A urine test showed heroin in the 8-year-old's system.
Police questioned Dowdy, who admitted to using the drugs in the house earlier that day, according to records cited by the news website.
Officers arrested both of the boy's parents at the hospital.

A Manhattan hospital transformed into the Great White Way Tuesday when a crew of Broadway actors gave a surprise performance to children suffering from life-threatening diseases.
Stars from the hit show, "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" made their cameos at NYU Langone Medical Center's Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders.
The young patients sang along and shook tambourines and maracas as the actors belted out such tunes as "You've Got a Friend," "Girl on Fire," and "We Will Rock You."
"It's so special to able to connect to these kids who we don't know," said Keenan Wynn, who plays Cynthia Weil in the musical.
"We don't know what they could be dealing with, and they can engage and really smile and enjoy the connection and the activity."
Chilina Kennedy, who plays Carole King in the musical, serenaded the children with an acoustic-style version of "Twinkle Twinkle."
Afterward, she said she jumped at the chance to perform in front of the ailing children.
"For me, it turns music back into what it should be, which is something that everybody can do, everybody can enjoy," Kennedy said.

Xanath Hernandez, 9, who suffers from leukemia, said music therapy helps her relax and keep focused on her goals.
"I like singing because it can relax you, it can calm your body," Xanath said. "It's a way to release the stress that you have. It's also useful for focusing on things that you want and also just hearing other people's talent."
The other actors who took part in the center's music therapy program were Alan Wiggins and Sara King.
They all handed out signed CDs of the "Beautiful" soundtrack so the kids can sing along to the show tunes the next time the actors stop by.
Hospital music therapist Joseph Lee, who has been working with NYU Langone patients for eight years, hailed the special visit.
"It's a great way for them to express themselves and make choices and have fun like regular kids get to do," Lee said.

Sisqó called out his imposter — whose name is reportedly Gavin Barnes — after the man's trickery apparently put security guards' jobs at risk and led to flack for those in charge of certain of events.
"It pisses me off that other people got hurt," the rapper told TMZ.
The imitator reportedly managed to get into a number of high-profile fashion events while pretending to be the "Thong Song" artist, including Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 show.

He took things even farther by allegedly agreeing to perform at a little girl's bat mitzvah, but the gig fell through after he got to the airport and his passport didn't match up, according to Sisqó.
"You've got this 13-year-old little girl who's thinking I'm gonna come perform live at her bat mitzvah," the rapper told TMZ. "That's when I was like, 'Ok, you know what, we need to take this a little bit seriously.' So now we're taking legal action."
Sisqó did not specify what type of legal action he intended to pursue.

Keri Young and her husband, Royce, made the difficult decision to carry their unborn baby girl to full term although the fetus was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
The Oklahoma couple, parents to a son named Harrison, learned at Keri's 20-week ultrasound that their unborn daughter, named Eva, was suffering from anencephaly.
According to the CDC, anencephaly is a condition that causes a baby to be born without parts of the brain or skull. Almost all babies born with the condition die shortly after birth.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Keri admitted she briefly considered inducing early ahead of her May 7 due date because she didn't want to go through the pain of losing her child.
"Continuing the pregnancy meant we would have mourn the loss of a child," she wrote. "We'd have to have a funeral... for a baby. OUR baby."
An Oklahoma couple will donate their baby girl's organs after they learned the fetus has a terminal condition.

However, at a follow-up doctor's appointment Keri and Royce were told that if they continued with the pregnancy some of Eva's organs - like her heart valves, kidneys and liver - could be donated. The unborn baby's lungs could be donated for research.
"Eva will have life even though it will be short," Keri wrote. "She'll donate anything she can and do more in her time on earth than I ever will."
In an update on Friday, Royce wrote that the process has been difficult but through it all his wife has remained strong.
"Keri has been in the trenches the entire time, feeling every little kick, every hiccup, every roll. She's reminded every moment of every day that she's carrying a baby that will die," he posted.
"She's TOUGH. She's BRAVE. She's incredible. She's remarkable," he continued.
"She's cut from a different cloth, combining wit, beauty, courage silliness, character and integrity into one spectacular woman."

Washington State 17-year-old boy allegedly stabbed by twin brother was going to be a father - Duration: 1:49.
A 17-year-old Washington State boy who was allegedly stabbed to death by his twin brother is being remembered as a kind soul whose girlfriend is pregnant with their daughter.
Shane Wachter and his twin brother Shawn Wachter – both from Coulee City – engaged in an argument before Shawn allegedly stabbed Shane in the chest Sunday morning, KXLY-TV reported.
Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff's Office were called to a home around 2:30 a.m. and Shane was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The family of Haylee Hayduk, Shane's girlfriend, released a statement saying the couple is expecting a baby girl.
Shane Wachter, 17, was fatally stabbed Sunday morning.

"Due to the importance of our daughter's health and for Shane and Haylee's unborn daughter, Violet Grace, we are asking that everyone please remember to give Haylee the space and added prayers that she will need during this extremely sad and difficult time," the statement read.
The crime shook the small town and those who knew the brothers say they were inseparable.
"They were so close, they loved each other," a friend of the twins told the TV station. "They were the stereotypical brothers, who they'd fight in the backyard, and 30 minutes later they'd be fine."

A friend said Shawn was trying to turn his life around before the birth of his daughter.
"He really wanted to be a better person all the time and he had a kid on the way, and he just wanted to be a great father," said Michael Evans.
Shawn, 17, faces charges of manslaughter and domestic assault. He's expected to appear in court Tuesday. A motive for the stabbing remains unknown.
An autopsy to determined Shane's cause of death is also scheduled for Tuesday.

In court Monday, prosecutors charged that the 70-year-old boss of a Japanese crime syndicate arranged for the murder of a female nurse over his failed penis enlargement surgery.
According to the Japan Times, lawyers argued that Satoru Nomura, leader of the Kudo-kai, called for "organized retaliation" because he "unjustifiably resented the failed surgery."
The Yakuza chief got the procedure done at a cosmetic surgery clinic in August 2012, while the victim had been a member of the team responsible for the operation.

As she made her way home, the nurse was allegedly stabbed in the neck and chest the following January in Fukuoka, Japan by a former senior member of the gang.
"The motive for the incident was a personal grudge on the part of Nomura," the prosecution said, according to the Tokyo Reporter.
Far from his first encounter with law enforcement, Nomura was accused of tax evasion and consequently had nearly $8 million taken from his bank accounts in 2015 while the year before saw him get charged with the shooting of a 70-year-old man in the back in public.

Plumber faces two years for beating dog to death with shovel - Duration: 1:49.
A Long Island plumber who drunkenly beat his dog so severely the pooch had to be put down is facing up to two years in prison on animal cruelty charges, prosecutors said Tuesday.
Michael Gallagher, 56, is accused of putting his dog Bella, an 11-year-old Shepard mix, in a plastic bag and striking her repeatedly with a metal shovel on Dec. 23.
The Levittown man, who works as a plumber for New York City schools and the Metropolitan Opera House, also put a zip tie around the dog's neck, according to prosecutors.
Gallagher's wife came home during the heinous episode and rushed Bella to an animal hospital, where she had to be euthanized.
He was arraigned Tuesday after being indicted for aggravated animal cruelty, a felony that carries a two-year sentence, officials said.
"This defendant is accused of truly despicable cruelty that fatally wounded his innocent and helpless 11 year-old dog, Bella," Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said in a statement.
Bella, a shepard mix dog, was euthanized after Michael Gallagher's brutal attack.

"We know from studies and experience that those who commit crimes against animals are more likely to perpetrate violence against people, and my office is committed to prosecuting these heinous offenses aggressively."
Gallagher's daughter spoke to the Daily News after the horrific incident in December. "We're still in total shock," said Kerry Gallagher, 26. "We don't even know what to do.
We don't want him coming back."
She said she suspected that her father, who had been sober for six months after decades of alcohol abuse, started drinking again after one of the other family dogs died in early December.
"I think he either just blacked out or something snapped in his head," she said of the attack.
Gallagher pleaded not guilty. He is being held on $300,000 bail and is due back in court March 21.
