Youtube daily report Feb 23 2017

We're thinking about hosting the fight in Paris

Just because it'll bring big crowds and the location is neutral

Plus the facilities are very good

You know...It started off maybe as a joke

But now I want to fight him because he's always being so difficult, he's impossible to be around

No...I'm not scared of him, he'll have a mouth guard to stop any biting

Other than that, everything is good. My plan is to just aim for the head

And strike early without hesitation

I mean, it really has been a long time coming

Four times now I've warned him about annoying me in training

But he likes to make Lionel laugh at me, it's embarassing. Now I'm gonna punch his teeth into place

No I don't think it will be awkward after the fight

We have a lot of mutual friends: Thiago, Lucas, Max etc

Plus we own a home together in Sevilla

So I'm sure we will make up after :)

World of Tanks - Object 252U Defender - Duration: 8:35.

How to Play the Object 252U Defender

A new Premium Tier VIII heavy tank with a machine gun

and an accordion—the Object 252U Defender.

Beautiful!

But what does it have against Tier X vehicles?

Let's find out.

Impressive, isn't it?

But an experienced player knows

that there's always a downside.

Today we're going to talk about the tank's strengths and weaknesses,

what its benefits are and how you can utilize them.

How to Play Object 252U Defender

The first thing you can assess in battle is a tank's mobility.

With the Object 252U, it feels a lot like playing the IS-3.

The maximum speed is 35 km/h.

The power-to-weight ratio is 13.5 horsepower per ton.

These aren't outstanding parameters,

but the vehicle reaches its maximum speed pretty quickly.

The Defender won't be the last to arrive at its position

and will manage to return and knock off base capture, if needed.

It is mobile enough to get into a fight anywhere on the map.

And that's a good thing, because this tank can't afford

to stand in one spot throughout the entire battle.

Its gun is tailored for a different playstyle.

The Defender features a classic Soviet gun,

which doesn't hurry to snap onto a target

and has generous dispersion.

If you've played the IS series of tanks,

it won't surprise you.

The gun reload time is pretty slow.

With the relevant perks, equipment,

and Extra Combat Rations, it can be reduced to 11.8 seconds.

To make up for this, the gun boasts

a good penetration capability (225 mm for Armor-Piercing shells,

and 265 mm for Armor-Piercing Composite Rigid rounds)

and unique one-shot damage

(on average, 440 hit points).

As a rule, guns of this caliber deal 390 HP.

But here you can get over 500.

Isn't that sweet?!

To summarize, the Defender's gun is good but slow.

Not for sniper fire at long range.

The cost of missing is too high.

While you're reloading, the enemies will destroy your allies!

And victory slips away.

Or your allies knock out all the enemies.

And you lose your chance to deal a good amount of damage.

The gun's characteristics force this tank to rush forward,

relying on RNG and armor.

It's great!

A streamlined turret shape,

sloped armor plates along the entire perimeter of the hull.

They aren't only beautiful;

sometimes they can make you think you're playing a Tier X vehicle,

especially if you're at the top of the team lineup.

The tank rushes forward.

Fear and bewilderment engulf the enemy ranks.

Tier VI and VII tanks are panicking!

They can't penetrate its armor!

Even the lower glacis plate is barely vulnerable to their shells!

It's large, but the relative armor there is about 210 mm.

Only Tier VIII vehicles can confidently penetrate it.

When you face them, you'll need your skills of soaking up damage.

Let's take a look at the vehicle's armor layout

and see what should be done.

Let's start with the turret.

The "passport" value for frontal armor thickness is 250 mm,

but the relative armor thickness can reach 500 mm.

That's half a meter! This means even Tier X vehicles

will be able to penetrate only the gun mantlet

and a small area around it.

And not with every hit.

With this tank, you simply must play your turret.

Even on top of a hill.

The gun depression angle is 6 degrees.

Of course, this isn't anything like playing American vehicles,

but you won't be a whipping boy either.

A Tier VIII tank shouldn't be that sharp.

For this reason, the hatches on the roof are only 150 mm thick.

It's a lot easier to penetrate them than the frontal armor.

The upper glacis plate features a pike nose design.

It's only 130 mm thick.

But look at the slopes!

Even the Grille fails to penetrate it.

You hide the lower glacis plate,

turn the tank's front towards the enemy,

and feel like in an unassailable fortress.

But if you let the enemy approach you from a flank, all the magic is gone.

Relative armor thickness decreases.

With frontal armor like this,

you won't play from the corner of a building for too long.

In addition, the armor stops resisting blows

if the enemy is firing from above.

In this case, the shell's penetration capacity is matched

with only the nominal thickness of the armor.

This is the weakness of all pike noses.

But ours has a peculiarity.

If you want to absorb damage with the tank's side,

you can expose it, but carefully.

In this position, the armor plates can resist shells

whose penetration capacity is within 260 mm.

This instills some confidence

even if you're facing Tier X vehicles.

The tank's sides won't let you down either.

The armor plates behind the running gear are 100 mm thick.

What does this mean?

Let's say three Tier X enemies are behind the corner.

The Defender attacks them at approximately the ricochet angle.

Even if a shell hits a spot that's not protected by tracks,

it will still have to penetrate about 300 mm of armor.

Heavy and medium tanks have

only a slight chance of penetrating.

For tank destroyers, it's fifty-fifty.

Their shells' penetration capability

is similar to the target's relative armor thickness.

To make the picture complete,

we should take into account the running gear.

It serves as a screen and protects the tank from HEAT shells.

And don't fire at the sloped plates:

It just doesn't make sense!

In addition, this tank has a part that can cause some amusement.

Yes indeed, don't be surprised.

Imagine a scout that circles round the last surviving heavy tank,

but fails to penetrate…

its rear!

That's because this part has well-sloped armor too.

However, it's only effective against guns

whose penetration capacity is about 150 mm and lower.

You'll have plenty of amusing situations in battles

against Tier VI and VII vehicles.

And now some serious things.

How should I play this tank,

accomplish personal missions related to absorbing damage,

and simply have fun?

To begin with, you should train the relevant perks

that reduce the gun's dispersion.

And make sure you install the Vertical Stabilizer

and Enhanced Gun Laying Drive.

When the battle begins,

think of where you're likely to meet the enemies

and soak up some damage.

And while you're driving there,

recall algebra and geometry basics.

Position your tank some distance

from the enemy frontlines.

Don't let their vehicles aim for your hatches.

Keep moving! Keep dancing!

Hide your lower glacis plate.

As for the pike nose, keep it straight towards the enemy

and never expose its side in a shoot-out.

Remember: you're driving a heavy tank.

A very heavy tank if it's at the top of the team lineup.

In battles like this, feel free to play aggressively,

lead the team, and push the enemy!

But be cautious when fighting against Tier X vehicles.

You still have your armor and can still soak up damage.

But your targets should be picked carefully,

as you won't be able to penetrate every single one in return.

So it makes sense to expose your armor plates only at a very acute angle.

Here's one more important tip.

When driving from behind cover to make a shot,

try to keep the aiming circle as small as possible.

Standing in enemy fire while

snapping onto a target isn't the most pleasant thing to do.

And don't forget that we're talking about a Premium tank.

Its main purpose is to earn credits.

And to do this, you need to inflict damage,

spot enemies, and capture the base.

All this can be done

if you survive for as long as possible.

And you know what?

This is exactly what the Object 252U is good for!

Give it a go!

How The CIA Used Charles Manson To Debunk Entire 60's Hippie Movement - Duration: 5:37.

How The CIA Used Charles Manson To Debunk Entire 60s Hippie Movement.

by Edward Morgan.

The Hippie movement was seen as an economical and sociological threat to both the government

and its Vietnam war effort.

On the 9th August 1969, at the age of 26, 8-month pregnant Sharon Tate along with 4

of her high society friends was brutally murdered at the Hollywood home she shared with Film

Director Roman Polanski.

It is widely believed that these were ritualistic killings ordered by the notorious Charles

Manson and carried out by his followers the Manson Family.

However, government whistleblower Charles August Schlund III (better known as Chuck

Schlund), suggests that these murders may have, in fact, been a covert operation carried

out by the CIA

Schlund, (now deceased) came across the Don Bolles Papers during the 70s which,

amongst other things, gave information on the CIAs involvement in the Manson family

Murders.

Schlund actually filed a lawsuit against George W. Bush, for unlawful attempts, upon his person,

to suppress this information, though this never went to trial.

Schlund claims that the CIAs prime objective, at the time, was to to debunk the hippie

movement which was proving to be an economical and sociological threat to both the government

and its Vietnam war effort.

The war was going badly and the American people were protesting in ever-greater numbers

with pictures of pretty flower girls on TV nightly, protesting.

The CIA needed a way of showing the American people that these pretty little flower girls

were really Satanists and evil and that the government was right and just in the war.

To do this the government needed to conduct a massive covert operation to convince the

American people that these little flower girls were evil, and the free love and peace they

talked of was really to cover-up evil.

Schlund suggests that Charles Manson was, in fact, a social experiment and that the

CIA had not only been supplying drugs to the Manson family but also funding their living.

Its no secret that the CIA regularly experimented with Drugs in an attempt at mass mind control.

MKULTRA is one of their most famous projects and Manson was in prison at the time they

were known to be using inmates at Vacaville prison in the MKULTRA experiments.

press Claims the CIAs objective, at the time, was to to debunk the hippie

movement.

Tex Watson (family member and one of the convicted Tate-LaBianca Murderer) claimed that in the

months leading up to the murders the Manson family had all been taking a drug called Orange

Sunshine which was manufactured and distributed exclusively by a group known as The Brotherhood

of Eternal Love where one of the dealers Ronald Stark had known connections to the

CIA.

John Lennons Anti-War stance most certainly made him a CIA prime target, which most probably

the result of his untimely death.

There is no doubt the Manson family were under some sort of mind control; In the book, Helter

Skelter, Mansons prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi talks, in-depth, of Mansons mind control

abilities, and claims they are comparable with those used by the US militaryAgain

suggesting that he may have been a product of the CIA.

Journalist Gary Webb has also exposed the CIA for their drug dealings.

If Schlunds claims were true that the CIA objective was to debunk the hippie movement

the aftermath of the Tate-LaBianca Murderer certainly suggested they had reached their

objective.

As Vincent Bugliosi told the Observer newspaper in 2009

The Manson murders sounded the death knell for hippies and all they symbolically represented

They closed an era.

The 60s, the decade of love, ended on that night, on 9 August 1969.

Even though there is no physical evidence of the Don Bolles Papers there is physical

evidence for Operation Northwood This document shows the CIA proposal to the Kennedy

administration to commit acts of terror on US citizens in an attempt to blame Cuba thus

justify a war; Neon Nettle also recently reported on the confession of a 78-year-old CIA agent

claiming to have carried out 37 associations included Marilyn Monroe.

With all this evidence we need to keep an open mind on what Schlund claimed.

(It appears Schund wasnt the only one who believed the CIA were responsible for these

deaths.

was

a Patsy )

First Love Again | 다시 첫사랑 – Ep.58 [Eng Sub / 2017.02.23] - Duration: 34:51.

Bring me Lee Hajin's child.

We'll negotiate then.

(Episode 58)

I just need to bring the kid?

You said you know where he is.

If you're not lying, you should be able to bring him.

Fine.

I'll bring him.

We'll talk then.

Jang Yeongsu just left my office.

Find out where he goes and who he meets.

If by chance...

He meets with an 8-year-old boy,

call me right away. You can't lose him.

Is that true?

What? You don't want to believe it?

Do you want me to show you proof?

- If you have any. / - What?

I want any proof that you have.

Everything you have that will convince me.

Fine. If you need to see it for yourself,

I'll give you the proof.

What do you want?

The money your wife deposited into

Hajin's account the day of the fake marriage?

Or the hospital bill receipt?

She threatened my sister with that.

Or what? Should I find everything else for you?

Fine, I will.

My sister is the idiot for keeping silent

after being threatened

by that woman, in order to protect your family.

Why does she care so much about you?

You say...

You don't know who he is or why you married him,

so I'll tell you.

You married him for his wealth...

And you divorced him because

his business went bankrupt.

But...

The woman who I thought had no sincerity in her...

Showed me...

Her sincerity.

I'm...

Going to give it a try with her.

Hajin...

Was it really for me?

What...

What have I done to you?

Oh, it's Seyeon.

I'll find every piece of evidence I can find.

Seyeon!

Sis!

Sis?

What are you doing here? Did you come to see me?

Well, I just came to see someone.

Who?

- Did you... / - No.

Didn't I tell you that I'm seeing someone?

He works at LK.

We really didn't have time to talk these days.

How could you not tell me something

that mom and Jeongu know?

Sorry. But I need to get back to the restaurant.

Okay. See you at home!

She'll see her at home?

Is she her sister?

Where's Lee Hajin?

Pardon? She left early today.

Hello, Jeongu.

No. I wanted to leave early today.

I'll wait for you at the bus stop.

Come on out.

Why are you here?

What are you trying to do to her now?

If you don't give up, neither will Minhui.

How long will the two of you

take turns tormenting Hajin?

It must end here. Stop it.

Please stop...

And go back to where you belong, CEO Cha Doyun.

She's finally moving on.

Don't make it hard for her anymore.

Hajin.

What were you thinking about?

I've been calling your name.

Sorry.

I was thinking about where we

should go this weekend.

I'm amazed that you asked me to meet you,

but you're planning the date, too?

I brought my car. Let's go.

What did you ask for?

The PI called me because he didn't know what to do.

It wasn't much. It was just to find a lost child.

That's his specialty.

There's a limit, though.

How can he find a baby who doesn't

even have a birth certificate?

The baby doesn't have a birth certificate?

All he got was the address where he was lost,

and the only information on him is that

he has vitiligo on his feet,

so he was whining that he can't find him.

Vitiligo?

Goodness.

He is so handsome.

He looks like an aristocrat.

Why is his life so harsh?

Why is he wearing his socks while he's sleeping?

He must be hot.

Oh, my gosh. What's wrong with his foot?

Gaon, let me see your foot. This looks like vitiligo.

No.

- Let me see. / - Hajin!

What? Oh, my gosh.

Gaon, what is it?

Mom, did you say something to him?

My goodness.

You make it sound like I hit him or something.

Gaon, you're hurting my feelings.

What's the big deal about taking off your socks?

Come to think of it,

Hajin's baby also had white patches on his feet.

Maybe they were meant to meet.

Mom.

I'm going to start dating Jeongu.

Really?

Are you that happy?

Yes, I am. I'm very happy.

Thank goodness you finally decided to move on.

I'm glad everyone is happy.

I can finally feel a little less guilty

for what I've done to you.

You haven't done anything wrong.

I need to do this puzzle with Gaon.

They say this helps.

I think he's having fewer nightmares since we started.

Sure.

Now, we just have to find your baby.

Then I'll pay you back for all the wrong...

I've done to you, right?

Why are you still here so late again?

Don't mind me. You're on mother's side anyway.

I told her because she needed to know.

That's why I'm telling you not to worry about me.

What did you have Gihyeon do?

Why are you looking for a child

that was adopted through our foundation?

Gihyeon is leaving trails everywhere.

Who are you searching for?

Doyun's child.

What do you mean?

Lee Hajin and Cha Doyun's child.

- Minhui. / - Tell mother, if you want.

Why now?

My mother-in-law found out

that Hyerin isn't her granddaughter.

I can't keep Doyun under control anymore.

What do you think Doyun will do?

I don't know...

How far he'd go or what he'd do.

That's why...

That child can never show up.

Doyun, are you just getting home?

You're home early.

I guess we'll finally get to have dinner together.

Yes.

Let's have dinner together.

Mother. Hyerin is doing well at my parents' house.

Sure.

No matter how scary your mother is,

she's her granddaughter.

I'm sure she's taking good care of her.

I'll eat alone in my room starting tomorrow.

- I'm done, too. / - About Hyerin.

I'll let her stay there for 2 more days.

I'll bring her home afterward.

Maid, give us some privacy.

Yes.

My mother is better for Hyerin than yours right now.

You saw how she's acting.

She adored her, but she turned cold

once she found out she wasn't her real granddaughter.

To my mother, blood is the most important thing.

- What about you? / - What?

What do you live for?

What do I live for? Aren't we all the same?

What I have, what I want, what I must protect.

That's important to everyone.

What you have and what you want...

The daughter of Myungha Foundation.

LK Group's daughter-in-law. The CEO's wife.

Things like that?

Of course. After the success of the recent project,

you are clearly qualified to be the next chairman.

I don't care about being your wife,

but I want to be the wife of LK's chairman.

I see.

That is your reason for living.

Doyun keeps making me nervous these days.

I need to confirm that kid

who is supposed to be his son.

Did you want to see me?

What do you plan to do about Minhui?

Doyun, I can't tell what you're thinking anymore.

Please continue to play dumb.

I feel like this is bad for both you...

- And Minhui. / - Mother.

It's only been bad for me.

Doyun.

I'm sorry. I was harsh.

I'm going up now.

Hyerin is doing well. I spoke with her yesterday.

I don't want to hear it. Good night.

Mother, Hyerin is my daughter.

You lunatic.

Do you want to raise another person's kid all your life?

Goodness. How frustrating.

Hyerin's posture improved, with you teaching her.

My mother-in-law only spoils her

and teaches her bad habits.

I really didn't like the way she raised her, either.

Hyerin, will you go to the study and

read with your grandpa?

Okay.

Sure. Let's go.

Minhui.

About the project that Doyun just succeeded with...

Yes.

It seems to have been a great success

thanks to your help.

You knew I cared about it...

But tried to ruin it anyway.

Did you want to ruin him to get revenge

for him hurting your pride?

I told you not to lose to your emotions.

Mother.

You did well.

Thanks to you, I didn't need to do anything...

To get Jeongu to think Chairman Cha and

our connection through your marriage may be broken.

Was it really Minhui

who tried to get Doyun fired from his position as CEO?

Her own husband?

Yes, it seems like it.

That means...

It may be easier for you to ask Chairman Cha

for what you want.

Is there a crack between the two families?

Mother.

Did you use me?

Let's set the record straight. I didn't use you.

All I did was watch you being foolish, trying to remove

your husband from his position.

Thanks to you...

Jeongu must think he can turn

Chairman Cha against us.

- Mother! / - Get your act together!

Doyun doesn't matter right now.

What matters is whether or not we can take over LK.

We lost half of our shares to Jeongu.

We don't have the influence that we used to.

So you must protect your position in that family.

Winning Doyun's affection doesn't matter right now.

What matters is being...

LK's daughter-in-law as recognized by the law.

Yes, mother. I understand.

I'll get my act together.

What matters...

Is my position,

which I must protect.

When will you bring the divorce papers?

My attorney wants to set a date and meet.

Seriously. I never said I won't divorce you!

Fine! I will!

Do you think transferring stock and stuff

is that easy to do?

That's for the attorneys to handle.

You don't do it yourself.

Don't tell me you're trying not to divorce me.

Are you crazy? My lifelong wish was to divorce you.

He isn't up to something, is he?

Chairman! Where are you going?

I have a gathering.

I almost missed you.

We need to talk. When are you getting divorced?

Should I prepare the papers?

What does it matter who prepares the papers?

I'll prepare it all.

All you have to do is sign them, okay?

Why are you so impatient?

I said I'd do it. Seriously.

Oh, my gosh. Chairman!

He isn't trying to avoid it, is it?

Lee Hajin?

Yes.

Do you know me?

Let's just say I'm a shareholder.

- I've wanted to meet you. / - A shareholder?

You're the one who made

the packed Korean food project a success.

As a shareholder,

I'm interested in you for raising our stock price.

Thank you.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other often.

Hajin.

Mr. Gu came to the employee lounge looking for you.

He did? He didn't call.

Thank you.

I thought you don't like coming to the office.

What brings you here?

You should smile, Jeongu.

If you scowl like that,

it'll look like I poked at your weakness.

How amusing.

Did you start dating a co-worker already?

You're not easy enough for me to waste time dating.

You, as his son, should

know just how much people still detest your father

even 20 years later.

You're the one who did it.

Who did it is irrelevant.

The difference is whether you hide it

or get caught.

A few more people will come to you.

Who knows if they'll throw water on you or gasoline?

There are countless people in Korea...

Who hold a grudge against your father.

Your goal is to remove me from the auditing team,

isn't it?

If you know that, you should leave.

It'll be too difficult to stay much longer.

What did you talk about...

With that woman earlier?

Do you mean that shareholder?

Not much. She just wished me luck with the project.

- She didn't say anything else? / - No.

Let's meet for dinner this weekend.

I want to tell you about something.

What?

I'll tell you then.

You're not the only one who can provoke the other,

Jeongu.

Make your move.

(Son of a corrupt banker qualified to be an auditor?)

Jeongu.

There's an article about you online.

I'm reading it now.

This is so malicious.

They're talking about something from 20 years ago

as if it just happened.

It must've been Chairman Kim.

This will make it difficult for you

to remain on the auditing team.

I know.

I'll need to take action too.

Who knows what else she'll do?

About that loan shark that

Chairman Kim borrowed money from before...

There's a rumor that they have something

of hers as collateral.

She sold her stock and paid it off.

I think the loan shark took something as profit.

It can't be the house or the foundation's building.

What else could she have used as collateral?

Step aside!

If you're going in, go in. If not, buzz off!

Why are you intimidating him?

He didn't come to play.

He's here to oversee our restaurant.

He's here to oversee you.

I've never once seen this punk work.

Do you even work at the office?

I do, mother. I work very hard.

You look like you'd bum around.

Whatever.

It's not like Seyeon would listen to me anyway.

If they like each other, let them date.

Do you mean it?

You can't be so nonchalant about it.

It's fine.

I don't expect anything from Seyeon's man.

Thank you.

As long as he isn't Cha Deokbae's son, I don't care.

Why are you even saying that?

Why would I date LK's chairman's son?

Of course, not! The likelihood

that Seyeon would date Cha Deokbae's son is

less than an ant being struck by lightning.

That's why I'll approve any guy

you want to date.

That guy is suspicious.

There's something there.

What's going on?

What are we, Romeo and Juliet?

Of all the women in the world,

why is Seyeon's sister Lee Hajin?

Why must I be Cha Deokbae's son?

Okay.

It's Hajin's mother's request,

so do all you can to find him.

Did my mom ask you to do something?

When did you get here? It's nothing big.

Is she looking for someone?

Well, she asked me to find someone for her.

By any chance, does your mother have siblings...

- Or cousins? / - My mom?

No, she doesn't.

Really? She doesn't have relatives in Seoul?

There is one person in Seoul.

Is that who she wants to find?

Does that person who lives in Mia your relative?

No. Mia? That's where we used to live.

Excuse me.

Wait a second.

The baby that her mother is looking for was lost...

From the town where Hajin used to live?

This is my letter of resignation.

Letter of resignation?

It's what you give when you quit your job.

I'm good at what I do,

so many companies want me to work for them.

I want to quit my job

and spend time with you for a while.

I'll look for a way to keep you with me,

and go to the hospital with you.

I'm going to play with you. Do you like that?

(Letter of Resignation)

Please send up Lee Hajin

from the menu development team.

Are you really leaving?

Can't you stay with us a little longer?

- I'm so sad. / - I know.

You'll be here until next week, right?

Yes. I've learned a lot from you.

Thank you, Mr. Gu. Thank you both, too.

Not at all.

Hello?

Yes, okay.

Hajin, the CEO wants to see you.

Jang Yeongsu has been

following a child since yesterday.

But...

It's strange.

What's strange? Who is he following?

Where did you say Jang Yeongsu is?

I was going to come and say bye anyway.

Thank you for trusting me

and giving me an opportunity.

The export...

Investment, and sample product.

All the difficult parts are done.

Why are you quitting?

It's because the most difficult parts are done.

I don't think I'm needed here any longer, that's why.

That's up to me to decide.

We'll offer you new terms.

We plan to expand into the Chinese market...

- In order to... / - I'm sorry.

They are incredible terms

that other companies can't offer.

This is where it ends.

Thank you for everything.

Can't you just continue working here?

Doyun.

I won't ask for anything and

I won't wish for anything, either.

I just feel so bad...

For making you suffer such abuse because of me.

I regret all the things I said

and did until now like crazy and I feel so sorry.

That's why I can't say...

I'll go to you or ask you to wait.

I won't try to stop you.

I feel so bad...

That I'm sick of feeling guilty whenever I see you.

But still...

Can't you stay where I can see you?

Hajin.

Can't you at least do that?

You need to bundle up. It's really cold out.

Goodness.

You've gained weight.

You were so scrawny when you first came.

Everything Hajin makes tastes good.

That's right. Everything Hajin makes tastes good.

But what do you mean, Hajin?

Hajin is a miss.

Then should I call her miss?

Call her what you want.

All done. Let's go.

If he's alive somewhere...

He'd be about your age.

Gaon, I forgot my phone, so wait right there.

Okay.

What the...

So it's you.

Yes, it was you.

(First Love Again)

I'll confirm is he is

really Doyun and Hajin's baby and then decide.

What will she do now? I can't trust that woman.

Did I do something really bad?

Just remember this. Whatever dad and mom do,

whatever we decide, you did nothing wrong.

I need to get rid of him...

As soon as possible, at least for your sake.

LFP 065 A Very Common Flute Mistake | Learn Flute Online Video Podcast - Duration: 10:10.

Hello and welcome welcome to the Learn Flute Podcast.

This is episode number sixty five, and I'm Rebecca Fuller, your host and complete expert

at all things flute related especially in the area of learning how to play the flute.

Today we're going to be talking about a very common flute mistake, and what you can

do to avoid getting caught with this problem that affects your playing.

 Be right back!

Again, welcome to this episode.

I'm kind of excited to talk about this today because for me, who- if you've heard enough

episodes on this learn flute podcast then you may already know that when I was a youngster,

I really really wanted to know how to play the flute well- and I also didn't have very

great instruction for the first few years..

In fact, I was basically on my own- and so I would have literally been extremely interested

and excited if there was any information I could get my hands on that would further my

skills- because I really loved the way the instrument flute sounded.

It's so pretty, and it not only sounds shiny, but it looks shiny too!

I was just always drawn to music and especially the flute.

When I was a bit older, I began teaching others how to play, and since I was always seated

as the first chair player I was expert enough to give others some pointers too.

Well, fast forward a lot of higher level instruction and pedagogy training later, I've added

to my offline studio and put it online so that I can reach more people just like you

who are also seeking to know the truth and wisdom you need to navigate playing this instrument.

It's awesome, and I'm so glad you're here.

Let's get started with the subject chosen for today.

It's kind of a fun one because it's super important and basically I'd say, one of

the main pinnacles to playing the flute correctly so that it sounds right.

And this is also one of the issues many new players - especially if they are learning

on their own or possibly in an environment where no one knowledgeable is listening and

checking up on them.

Ok- are you ready to know what it is?

It's such a common mistake that you must take notes here.

It all has to do with your tongue.

Yup!

Your tongue.

It's so so common for people to pick up a flute and just start blowing and wiggling

their fingers.

Those are the two obvious parts of playing the flute that people don't get mixed up

on..

Haha, but what is actually happening inside their mouths is the big mystery.

Let me explain what can happen and what is a problem.

First of all, assuming we get the flute into the proper place on our face and start blowing

in puffs of air hoping to make a toot toot sound, we could probably totally get it.

And, we can probably even make longer and shorter toots as well,right?..

So that part isn't really too complicated- but what isn't really known is that the

tongue inside our mouth is there for a few different reasons.

One of them is that it is there to help us with our tone.

Yes- that famous word that I talk about all the time.

Tone is how we sound - clear, fuzzy, smooth, etc.

The tongue plays a key role in how we produce our notes as well.

So, if you have taken my flute lessons here online, then you've hopefully studied carefully

how I show you to produce your first beautiful sounds on the flute.

I show you exactly where to place your tongue- and I'm coming from an expert position because

there are a few different ideas floating out there.

So hopefully you take notes and do exactly as I say.

If perhaps you've studied in school band, or with a neighborhood teacher (who has not

had any formal training in especially pedagogy) then you may have learned how to use your

tongue in a different way.

And, I'm here to tell you that it's true that there are different methods, and eventually

we use them all, but the first way that you will use over and over and over and over again

is the special way I show you in the online lessons here at Learn Flute Online.

And, it's super important to helping you learn to have the proper habits that make

and keep your tone clear as a bell- which we can learn to get more and more full as

time, practice, and your level goes on.

Then the next thing you can know that your tongue does is not only produce the beginning

of your notes, but it also has a job to stay away while we form the shape and sound of

the middle of our notes.

I have to do some pretty good tricks with my tongue to get it out of the way because

I think my tongue is kind of big.

And lastly, and this is where the big mistake comes in that's the whole point of this

audio today.

What happens to some flute players is that they can't really think of any other way

to end their notes except for to put their tone in the way of the air stream so that

it stops it- and then they can move on to the next note.

Hmm.

This is a problem because not only are we double doing what's happening - meaning

if we stop our current note with our tongue and then start the next note with our tongue,

then we've just double-done the space between the notes.

And, this may not seem like that big of a deal, but if you've ever heard someone or

even it may have been yourself sounding sticky like your notes are stuck in the mud and a

bit resistant to moving into the next ones- then this totally could be your issue.

I'm going to give you a demonstration here today - usually I just talk on these audios,

but this one I think requires a quick aural demonstration.

Here are a few notes that are being tongued properly.

(Rebecca playing flute demonstration)

And here are the same few notes that are under the influence of an improper tongue method

like I've described to you with the end of the note being stuck in the mud with the

tongue.

(Rebecca playing flute demonstration)

Sooooo, can you hear the difference?

  I can!

Listen again:

Proper ending- (Rebecca playing)

Improper ending - (Rebecca playing)

And…. it does matter!

Now, in this audio today I've only just started to scratch the surface of what we

need to do with our tongue because in the module videos I have set for you in the Gold

Level , and also continuing in the Intermediate Level and on to advanced I show and tell you

exactly what, how, when, why, and where we should be using our tongue So we can avoid

sounding stuck in the mud.

It's just such a common and very understandable mistake that players make because it's just

not something you can see with your eyes, so unless you have a higher level instructor

who can explain, demonstrate, and encourage you then you also can fall prey to a very

common flute mistake that will stunt your growth as far as flute playing goes.

So get yourself into the membership areas of Learn Flute Online dot com and you will

find the information and all the videos that go along with this so you can sound fabulous.

I hope you've already come into the online studio today and taken a lesson from me.

If you are wanting to sound great then it's in your best interest to go back and review

the basics of tonguing I give you in the first few lessons and then continuing all the way

through the articulation lessons.

Which, by the way is a whole other subject that we'll explore a bit in the next episode.

If you need help getting into the membership area of Learn Flute Online dot com then don't

hesitate to email me.

I'll be right there on the other end to help you quickly.

You're probably already on the email list, but just in case my address is: rebecca at

learn flute online dot com.

That's it!

There's just so much to talk about - I love that you're here learning and growing.

That's for being interested in one of my favorite subjects, and I will see you on your

emails and in an online lesson very soon!

Bye now!

Rainy Day Book to Film Recommendation - Duration: 4:28.

Hey there. It's Book Riot contributing editor

Sharifah here to talk to you about one of my

favorite rainy day reads. And it's equally

rainy day friendly film adaptation.

Spring is approaching but in many parts

of the country, if not the world, winter

has come and would have you believing

it's here to stay. Where I am in Southern

California it's been raining non-stop.

And I know we all enjoy laughs at

Southern Californians who cry storm

watch and take to Amazon for inflatable

rafts with two day free shipping.

But I literally drove by people who are

running around the streets with pots

over their heads which was funny until I

realized I also don't own an umbrella.

But where I fail at outdoor prep for

inclement weather, I succeed at reading

because I'm certainly not going outside

in that stuff. So why not swadle myself

in fleece, cats, and books. So I scoured my

bookshelves in search of my favorite

cold weather read that you might want to

consider for your next rainy day retreat,

and I came up with one solid

recommendation that never fails me on a

cold and/or rainy day. Cold Comfort Farm

by Stella Gibbons. The word cold is in the

title, that's the beginning and end of my reasoning.

Strike that. Have you ever had an

experience where you become vividly

aware of your own coziness by reading

about other people's discomfort and

suddenly you're slogged in something between

smugness and a snuggie. Let's call it a smuggy.

That's what you're getting out of

this book which mostly takes place in a

cold muddy English pocket. In what may be

the 1930s -- there's a note at the

beginning of the book that's the action

of the story takes place in the near

future, the book was published in the

early 1930s. In what may be

the 1930s, Flora Poste of

strong will and slender angle, highs to

cold comfort to impose herself upon her

relatives the Starkadders after both her

parents perish from influenza.

At 19 years old with only a hundred pounds a

year and no property, Flora does not want a job.

She's been raised on an aristocratic diet.

The Starkadders of cold comfort farm

however do not share Flora's sensibilities.

They live in a creaky, leaky aply

named household populated by a

delightfully macabre and whimsical cast

of characters, including great aunt Ada

Doom who saw something nasty in the woodshed.

The summary on the back of the book

covers the cast of characters quite well.

There's Judith alone in her grief, Amos

called by God, Seth smoldering with sex,

Edith who needed a little polish, and we're all

acquainted with your old Aunt Ada.

Flora, who somehow manages to be both

blithe and lasse, decides to fix everyone

at cold comfort by inserting herself

into their business.

I suspect that if you enjoy Jane Austin's

Emma, you'll enjoy Cold Comfort Farm.

In fact there's mention of Miss Austen and

her novel Persuasion in this book.

I first saw the 1995 TV movie adaptation

of Cold Comfort Farm as a kid

and remembered it as a weird dream only to

read the book for the first time many

years later and realize it was an actual thing.

Now it may seem odd that I would

think I dreamed the whole thing up but

one of the reasons this book is one of

my favorite rainy day reads is there's some

surreal imagery at play in this story.

It doesn't end with Aunt Ada's constant

cryptic mentions of the woodshed.

There's the fact that cold comfort farm

is located in a fictional village called Howling.

There's this plant the sukebind that is

as present as a character and when in bloom

has weird almost mystical effects on people.

There's Elfine who loves the outdoors but who

I as a child decided was a wood nymph.

By the way I was disappointed to find

out that sukebind is not a real thing, the

whole of my botany-loving being wanted

it to be true and actually look it up.

So anyway after I realized cold comfort

farm was an actual thing, I then rewatched

the movie, trapped as I was an ambitious

movie before book, book before movie cycle. So if

you haven't seen the movie,

you really should watch it but only

after you read the book obviously.

Just kidding. Do what you like. There is no

such thing as the book police. When I

rewatched the movie, I was stunned by how

star-studded it is. But BBC is a small

world and I guess I should have been

more surprised a.k.a. disappointed by

Colin Firth's absence.

Here are some actual members of the cast,

I think you'll recognize some of these names.

Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Fry, Sir Ian

McKellen, Joanna Lumley, Dame ileen

Atkins, you get the point.

They're obviously differences between

the TV adaptation and the book but the

cast of their characters more than

justice. Perfect rainy day, read perfect

rainy day movie. There you have it.

Unntil next time, stay warm and stay reading.

Undertale - A miniature garden dream (Chariel) - Duration: 3:40.

Slowly descending onto dry land, the rain drops fall fast from a weeping sky

Their drizzle wets the trims on my sleeve, melting into blackness, breathing a silent sigh

The bed in which you is sleep is covered, but can you still feel the warmth of these flowers?

Surrounded by the heavy air of lilies, you rest in peace and sleep happy for many hours

In the past you dreamed of two things that soon became birds and flew too far away from your heart

They kept on searching for the sky's limit, always, always flying too far apart

A wingless bird can't fly alone; instead it waits for you right here

Although you're lost in a nightmare; your eyelids close and embrace our love

This dream of yours is what I fear, as darkness pulls you down so deep

Please tell me it's just your sleep Please tell me it's just a long sleep

You're in such a small bed, surely you must. Find it so hard to get to sleep with peaceful rest

Maybe it is time for you to arise now

Sweetheart, sweetheart, morning's waking up too

A wingless bird can't fly alone; instead it waits for you right here

Although you're lost in a nightmare; your eyelids close and embrace our love

No matter how hard that I can scream, my prayers don't wake you from your dream

Sweetheart, please open your eyes Sweetheart, I beg you, open them

This wingless bird can't fly alone; without you I can't leave the ground

I'm falling into a nightmare, wishing for wings lost but never found

Through everlasting love I hear the shriek that tears us both apart

I still cannot fly away I still cannot fly far from you

[FR - Sub EN] Tutorial Dropzone pour débutant - Duration: 9:11.

Welcome in this new video which is going to speak to you about Dropzone

If you just begin play Dropzone

And you want learn more, this video is for you !

To begin well in Dropzone, it's important

to have good settings

In the tab ' gameplay ' we can interresser to

Camera settings, control groups...

My advice for the camera are,

center camera on 'double tap'

For the section 'camera chase on'

I prefer check 'none'. Then my Camera is entirely free.

And the camera move only when

I double tap on the hotkeys

Or when I place my mouse on the edge of the screen.

I unticked the 'chored selection'

It's when you press two hotkeys at the same time

Because I do lot of missplay because of this option

I can understand if you keep this option,

But, it's more intuitive because I am a sc2 player.

I recommend in the'Interface tab'

To use "damaged color health bar"

This option is useful when you are in fight and

you want to see fast the health of a rig

without doubt about where it is or who it is...

In fight it's very useful for focusing low ennemies

Or retreat your own damaged rig

Maybe, in 2v2 this option is not recommanded

Because there is 6 rigs per team

It depend on preferences of each

Same for the UI scale, it depend on the prefereces of each

However, I recommand to reduce a little bit the minimap

scale, because her normal size is a little big

That will reduce the fail potential of missclick

when you will lauch spell or move click

in the right bottom corner

And to have a rigs who go at the opposite

way as you want

For the beginners, I suggest they

to play 1/1/1 composition

Three differents class for each rigs that they pick

That give you a multipurpose composistion

For have a good response against all strategies

Then, 1 tank, 1 gunner, 1 mecanic

Or 1 tank, 1 gunner, 1 summoner

Are the compositions that I suggest the most

One time in the game, you certainly ask you

"How, or why I farm slower than my opponent ?"

"What I need to do to go faster?"

Each map have priorities,

On Juggernaut, for example

You need to contest the most often

The 2 middles Hives, (next to the Uplink)

Because there are at the same distance of each players

Then both players can farm at the same times

You need to choose fast one Hives to clean

Experimented players can contest

the 2 hives at the same times

For earn Xp on the both Hives.

On Juggernaut, there are some dangers

For example, when the both Hives are cleaned

Your opponent can path,

In one camps on which you have no vision

If you are the blue player

You have not the vision on the North West Hive

If you are the red playe, you have not the vision on the South East hive

Even with the vision towers

That why it's important, to have always an idea of the respawn of these hives

It's important to clean if when it's possible

On Mind the Gap (MtG)

The biggest diffculty, is to farm fast

and have the vision control

During the game, the middle hives

These are in your way

for the uplink

Is the hive to have always cleaned

Because, in case of respawn

If you are fighting in your side of the map

You will interfer with the Kavash

And your opponent could

steal you some Xp

On MtG, you need to care about

Vision Towers, because with the jump

Your opponent will access easily, at one of you tower

For example, if you are the blue player

You need to care about the top tower

Because this is the nearest of the cliff

If you are red player, you need

to care about the bottom tower

Alphas are an important aspect of the game

An objective bonus their is even dedicated

At the beginning, there is no alpha on the map.

When the hive respawn once, there is one alpha

When the hive repawn for the second time, there will be 2 alphas

Alphas are high priority targets

when you are cleanning a hive

They have high HP, high damages

During the game, 18 alphas will spawn

'Alpha strike' objective can be played with

the fact that you steal an alpha of you opponent

It's easy to do this on Juggernaut (cause of the middle hives)

If you achieve to steal one, your opponent won't be

able to complete this bonus objective

On MtG it's harder, but possible if

your opponent didn't clean fast the middle hive

And you can steal an alpha if you come at the right moment

"How to create a build ?"

"How to maximise the potential of my rigs ?"

This is some ideas, for optimise rigs and spells

Vise have more HP and armor than

other rigs of his own class (tank)

He's good for "soloclean", or could be play with underlevel

relative to the other rigs of your team, because he has better basics stats.

Plutus is a powerful

summoner, he has a powerful passive

actually, when a rig is holding a core

this rig gain amor (when nearly plutus)

AND if a ennemy rigs is holding a core next to plutus

Plutus reduce the armor's rigs

Passive that I suggest is

for example, "Core shelter"

Because when the rig is holding a core,

nearly allies have more armor

That make a high armored composition

Just when you are holding core !

without activating spells !

Cortex, heals all of the damage that he deals

at the nearly allies, but

he doesn't heal himself

A higher pourcentage for

abilities will be converted to heal

Then cortex is a very good mecanic

Because when he deals damage, he heals

And if you already have a heal (repair bubble)

In any situation, he will be

able to heal, for example if you use

'glob launcher'

He will heals your allies and in the same times

deals damage, this is powerful !

That why it's a spell that I suggest to cortex.

In Dropzone, bonus objectives are

important, there is 7 points to win !

You need to adjust your playstyle with the bonus objectives

You will need to more farm

when there is an 'eradicate' bonus

than if there is the 'first blood' bonus

Think about it, it's free points !

For 'boss slayer' objectives

You need to be careful

Because 3 bosses could be cleaned really fast

if your opponent kill a first boss,

this is easier for him to clean the second

with the damage bonus

You need to be careful when there is one boss slain (or two)

For 'alpha strike', steal an alpha

give to you almost the 'alpha strike' bonus

If you clean righ your hives

you will be certain to have the 9

alphas, and you opponent will be stuck at 8.

For improving his micro, there no secret,

You need to play, I'll give you some advices

either to improve faster your micro skills

or to have better control of your rigs

At the start of the game, it's important to farm the faster that you can

then to use the most often, you will need

to split your rigs, and always check if a spell

is available or not, try to do cycle

11, 22, 33

for move the camera to all rigs

and activate their spells

Try to always have a look on the minimap

You will know where are the rigs' ennemy

Even if you don't see them on your screen directly

In Dropzone, when a rig is idle

A blue halo is pulsate (on the minimap)

The rig doesn't move or hits

Try to have the less that you can during the game

In Dropzone, when a rigs is under attack

He will alert (with sound) and

on the minimap, a red halo will pulsate

be careful when there is this halo and an ennemy rig near

But if this is versus Kavash, you will need to check.

If after this video, you have more questions

You can write them on the commentary section :D

I will try to respawn fast as I can

I suggest you the "Dropzone" channel

They upload one replay per week

Of high skills players

You will be able to check the builds

And the fabulous casters

will explain you if the choices of the players are good or not

See you next time in Dropzone !

LATENCY MINI DRONE, Latency of CX10, CX10W, CX 10 WD - Duration: 1:41.

Today I decided to talk to you of the latency and CX10W CX10WD.

Latency is the time or delay for the transmission. It is also called

in computer "Lag". Simply this is the time between

the source transmitter to the destination phone here.

If the latency is too large, the images

you'll see on the phone will be images of the past.

And it is really not good thing for the fpv.

Here is a video that measures the latency of the CX10W and CX10WD.

If I pause the video. We notes that the CX10WD,

to a latency of 0.131 seconds.

Or 131 thousandths of a second.

second trial

If I pause the video

a latency of 0.138 seconds

or 138 thousandth of second

third test

a latency of 0.210 second

or 210 thousandth of second

For the mini drone CX10W

we'll see if the latency is acceptable for the cx10w

there is a latency 0.117 second

or 117 thousandths of a second

second trial

there is a latency of 0.130 seconds

or 130 thousandth of a second

To compare with a real FPV receiver

With the QX90 for the example

The QX90 with a latency of 0 seconds

Of course this is not true.

If you made a break you will see that there

a few thousandths of second

which is much more acceptable for a FPV drone

I hope you enjoyed this video.

February Wrap Up | Part I [CC] - Duration: 12:57.

Hey there booktube Katie her and you're watching

Katie Loves to Read. Today I'm doing my

February wrap up part 1 so let's talk

about the books that i read at the start

of February. The first thing that I managed to

read at the start of February was the

Bands of Mourning by Brandon Sanderson. I

read this both on audiobook and ebook, I

was taking full advantage of amazon

whispersync. This is the third book in

the Wax and Wayne series which is the

second of the Mistborn series. Its

Mistborn era two. It's basically a

wild-west type deal set in the Mistborn

world where all of the magic

comes from consuming metals and it

follows Wax and Wayne who are fighting

crime and doing random stuff. This one I

enjoyed but did not love I have to say.

Like I think in the end I gave it three

stars on Goodreads and I can't really

make my mind up whether it was a three-star or

three and a half stars but it definitely

felt like the weakest in the series to

me so far because i find it to be

incredibly predictable and also some of

the plot twists that it took didn't

really make sense to me

however what I did enjoy apart from just

being a barrel of laughs, lots of fun and a

high-stakes adventure is that we got to

learn a lot more about Steris or Staris

or however you pronounce her name who is

Lord Waxilium's wife and I'm actually

growing to love her in a way that I never

thought I would because she is presented

is quite an unlikable character in the

first book but over time you begin to

really get to know her better

and realise that you're seeing her as

society assumes her to be but there's a lot

more there and her and Wax are definitely

a very cute couple.

So yeah I'm excited for the next book in

the series because I enjoy the Mistborn

world and i have to say I enjoy the

humor of the Wax and Wayne series but

this just felt like the weakest one so

far for me. Next I listened to another book

on audio and that was The Tropic of

Serpents which is the second book in the

Memoirs of Lady Trent series. This is a

series about a lady who is a dragon

naturalist she goes on adventures and

writes about dragons there are a lot of

fun and

I love them dearly. Basically i was

looking for fun reads and I do like

these. I also like that they do deal with

deeper issues - they're dealing with

women's place in society, women in

science, this one even had a whole subplot

about periods which let's be real

we do not discuss periods in fantasy

half as much as we probably should

because unless in this new fantasy

world women don't have problems with

periods and periods aren't a thing then

presumably they need to be discussed if

you have a female protagonist. So we have

that there, we also had a character in this

who seemed to be asexual and I just found

that it was a very fun story and I found

like Lady Trent our main character

definitely got developed a lot more so

I'm excited to move on to the next book

in the series.

I think this second book was definitely

stronger for me than the first and I gave

it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Next I finished up a book and that was

a second book in the Rise of Empire

bind up so the second book is called the

Emerald Storm. So basically this is the

second binder of the Ryeria series

and each windup has two books so this is book

four technically but some people just

read the whole bind ups in one if that

make any sense? The Ryeria books

follow Royce and Hadrian who are two

thieves for hire to get involved in many

different problems. In the first one they're

accused of killing the king actually so

yeah they're generally a lot of fun. This

one for me I didn't enjoy quite so much

but I do wonder if that was because I'd

forgotten what happened in the previous

three books because i haven't read them

for a while so i think it may be

partially my fault as opposed to the

books fault.

These are high stakes, high action

adventures in an interesting yet still

fairly typical fantasy world. There is a lot of

political stuff going on which is

something I enjoy and in the end I gave

this a 3.75 stars/ three and a half

stars maybe i don't know. I think it was --

I found a little bit confusing and I

didn't find it as fun as normal but i

think that was because I was trying to

work out what was going on because I'd

forgotten the previous books if that make

sense. Then I finished an advanced read

copy and that was of The Hate U Give by

Angie Thomas i am making a full

spoiler-free review of this so don't

worry there will be a full discussion of

this, probably right after i finish

making this video actually. But this

follows our main character Starr who's at a

party one night and basically somebody

shoot someone or there're shots fired and

she's leaves the party and she and her

childhood friend end getting a car and drive

off you know in her friend's car and basically

they're stopped by the police and the

police end up shooting her friend and

killing him and they're both

African-American policeman is white and

she's the only witness to this fatal

shooting and this excessive use of force

and basically it explores the impact of

this on her community and on Starr herself,

on Starr's family, on the victim's family -

whose name I've forgotten because i'm

horrible person.

Basically it's a black lives matter book

it's about the black lives matter

movement.One complaint I've hear about

All-American boys which is the book that

deals with very similar issues is that

it felt like the characters weren't very fleshed out, we only saw

them in regards to how the events played

and how the events had an effect on

them. We didn't get to see them fully

formed characters, in this book we

definitely get to see Starr as a fully-formed

character. We saw - see all of her likes and

dislikes. We see her interactions with

her family, her interactions with her

friends. We see the different micro

aggressions and forms of racism that she

has to deal with every day and I

thought that aspect of it was very well

done because I really connected to Starr

and I was really heartbroken for her and

for her community and terrified when she

got into situations that could put her

in danger. I loved her family and I just

I think I really loved everything

about this book. At the end of the day

though I think All American boys edges

it out slightly in my mind in terms of my

favorite book about as excessive use of

force against African-Americans just

because i found that that caused me to

engage in more internal reflection than

The Hate U Give did but that's not any

slight on this book. This book is

wonderful, it's really important that it's

out there and I gave it a 4 and a half out of

five stars. Then I finished an audio book

which I have such mixed completed

feelings about that I feel like I'm just

gonna word vomit at you but that was

Planet for Rent by Yoss and yes that's

his full name

he's a Cuban author and this was

translated from Spanish. But basically

it's about the future world where earth

has just kind of been taken over by a

bunch of people from other planets and

they just kind of exploit all humans and

we're just seen as basically the scum of

the universe and we're really just there

to give them entertainment and it

follows the lives of multiple humans

some of whom live on earth and some who

have left the planet and they're all

from Cuba I think specifically. It's got a

lot of descriptions of different alien

races which is something i always enjoy

and it's also actually supposed to be an

allegory for Cuba at the during the fall

of the Soviet Union and the different

crises that they faced in Cuba so it

explores a lot of different ideas like

brain drain, refugees trying to escape

and being repatriated illegally and the

power of art and sport to kind of allow

you to live a good life and to get out

and this idea of a very poor country and

high rates of crime and having to join

gangs and a lot of it has to do with sex

workers and sex in general and the role

it plays in different people's lives as

well as the way in which outside

countries exploited Cuba and put

pressure on them and yeah I think that's

generally what it was trying to get at. I

i did not have a great knowledge of Cuba

during the fall of the Soviet Union so I

ended up having to do a lot of extra

reading kind of fully understand this. I

think Clarisse from Clarisse Reads did a

really great job in her review of

speaking about it as someone who comes

from a former Spanish colony herself so

i'll link her view on screen. So i had

two major criticisms

of this novel that led me to giving

it a quite a low rating on goodreads. The

first of those being that because it's a

series of interconnected short stories

and never really had a cohesive story

line, it's just linked short stories and i

thought i was getting a novel so it's

kinda one of those situations where I

wish it'd have said that in the blurb

that it was a section of linked short

stories and then I would have gone with

my eyes open. So it's one of those

situations where i had different

expectations for something different

than what I got and then my other issue

is the way it treats sex and you all

pretty much now this stage that I'm

asexual so sometimes i just i don't get

the allure, the appeal of certain sections

of the book but I can appreciate them

for some people it makes sense. What

really bothers me about the treatment of

sex and sexualisation of characters in

this book was the final story that deals

with a young girl that I think it's

eight or nine who is really really

attracted to this man who is in a

position of power in her life and he

doesn't want to have sexual relations

with her but she's is just really sexualized

in the book and she's doing different

things to her body to make herself more

attractive to him and at the end of the

day he said you are you know I I was

attracted to you and it all just seems

so incredibly effed up in my head that I

just I couldn't I couldn't deal with it. It

wasn't for me at all i don't think it

was necessarily written in an erotic

tone that you were supposed to be

getting off on this little kid but it

just felt disturbing to me and it's

probably trying to underline a real

fact of life in Cuba but for me I was just

like no stop. I wish I'd known this

because I wouldn't have read this book

so in the end I gave it a two out of five

stars.

Now onto to graphic novels very briefly.

The first of these is Embroideries by

Marjane Satrapi who wrote Persepolis

this is about the sex lives of women in

Iran. Are you sensing a theme that i'm

picking weird things for me? But this was

amusing novel about a bunch of women

gossiping and I enjoyed it

I will have to say. What I did find a little

bit difficult is that i found it

difficult to follow who was who because

the art style is all black and white, at

times some of the women were kind of

blending into one for me and I was

having to read it really slowly to make

sure i knew what going on. I think part

of that might have been that i was tired

but yeah like kind of bothered me. I

didn't love the art style and Persepolis

so it's kind of replicated here so i

should have kind of known that that

was gonna happen. Although it's very

short so i think with graphic novels it

can be hard to develop an idea but i

thought i did a good job and in the end

gave it three and a half out of five

stars. I'll try to be quick with my last thing and

that's El Deafo by Cece Bell, an own voices

graphic novels about Cece Bell's experience

with hearing loss as a child. It's

nonfiction, I think some aspects of it

are fictionalised but basically it's

about losing hearing from meningitis and

having to wear hearing aids in school

and how that affected her and how the

other children treated her and how she

came to think of her hearing loss as

almost a superpower - not a disability but

ability that she had that nobody else

did. It was really sweet but also very

self-reflective - like it caused me to

reflect on myself and how I view other

people around me and just also on how

cruel kids can be without intending to

be cruel or without realizing that

they're being cruel but I thought the

art style really cute and it suited

the story that was being told. Everyone

is bunny rabbits which is fun and in the

end I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. I

really enjoyed it and would highly

recommend it and it's great for

diversity bingo

if you're doing that. Anyway those are

all of the books that i have read

recently there will of course be another

wrap up for the end of February but that's about it

for today. Rhank you guys for watching

and I'll see you in my next video bye!

Atlanta Toxic Mold Attorney | Are There Molds That Are More Indicative of a Structural Problem? - Duration: 1:41.

Carson Jeffries: Good morning, I'm Carson Jeffries with the Mold Firm and I'm here today

with long-time friend and owner of Air Allergen & Mold Testing.

Richard Johnson: My name is Richard Johnson and I'm the President/CEO of Air Allergen

& Mold Testing.

Yes, absolutely, things like blue claydium, trichoderma, chaetomium, and stachybotrys,

those are all associated with deterioration of the drywall and other materials in the

home associated with high water activity.

So when we see those, we know that there's more likely to be some kind of a health risk

in that home than other things.

Carson: Okay, so what I'm understanding generally is, there's a lot more that homeowners should

be concerned about than just your basic black mold.

Richard: Well there really is.

And it really leads into another area of indoor air quality, which is indicative, or we find

when we find the deteriorating conditions, is that we find a lot higher particulate count

in the air of things like cellulose materials that comes as a result of the drywall becoming

deteriorated and putting materials out into the air.

And high background particulate levels can be just as much of a respiratory problem than

the mold spores themselves.

HUGE Post-Travel Unboxing! 13 Books! - Duration: 9:16.

Hi friends, it's Tamsien from Babbling Books.

And I'm so excited because I'm finally

back home in Australia after six months

of traveling through Europe. I'm finally

here in my new apartment which, as you

can see behind me, is not in any way

unpacked yet but that's for future videos

when I set up my bookshelves. What I

want to do today is open all this mail that

I received while I was gone. I have

received a lot of parcels. Some of them

I purchased myself; ordered on Book

Depository and other websites, some of

them were sent to me by publishers. So

what I'm going to do is, I'm going to open

all of these. I have no idea what's in

them because I've completely forgotten

even the ones which I ordered myself. And

I'll tell you a little bit about the

books. That's pretty much it. I think this is

going to be really a fun video. I hope that

you enjoy it. Please let me know in the

comments below if you've read any of these

books and which ones I should prioritize.

This is the special limited signed edition

of Nevernight by Jay Kristoff. I actually

went to be book launch of this book in

Melbourne and I really enjoyed this book. I

thought was really interesting fantasy

read. Check out these pages. I absolutely

love this edition. And of course it has

beautiful maps inside it, which is just

stunning. Got to love a fantasy book

that has maps. And of course signed by the author.

So I'm so excited to finally have

received a finished copy of Nevernight.

If you haven't read it yet I definitely

recommend it, it's really an interesting fantasy read.

So this next one is called

Darktown by Thomas Mullen. This one was

sent to me by Hatchette Australia.

It is a crime novel which is set in America

and it seems to be about a town very

much divided along racial lines. It sounds

like a really interesting crime /

thriller crossover.

It says "cute and a little bit sweary".

This was sent to me by Frankie magazine. Which is a

really popular magazine here in

Australia for like teens, women and girls

of all ages. And this is their first book,

which is a collection of different

stories. Cute, funny, sometimes rude,

sometimes a little bit sassy and I'm

really excited to read these.

It's called Something to Say and it has

some really nice illustrations and

decorations inside it.

It's really colorful fun and hopefully

insightful with a feminist edge. So I'm

looking forward to this one.

This is the special edition of Neil Gaiman's

The Sleeper and The Spindle. I absolutely adore this.

I first read it in his short story

collection Trigger Warning and I also

own the illustrated edition by Chris

Riddell but this special edition comes

in a slip case and it should have

beautifully illustrated end papers,

gold edges.

It's just an absolutely beautiful book. I

love all of Chris Riddle's illustrations and I

just couldn't get enough of this story.

I couldn't resist having a special

edition for my shelves.

The next one is one which was sent to me by

Hatchette Australia. This is The Blood

Mirror by Brent Weeks.

This is the 4th book in his Light

Bringer series which I actually haven't

read yet. So if you've read Black Prism

or any of the other books in this series

please let me know in the comments

because I'd love to know if this is one which I

should pick up.

This next book was sent to me by Pan Macmillan and it is Three Dark

Crowns by Kendare Blake. I have seen a lot

of pictures of this on Instagram and on

Twitter. So if you read it please let me

know what you thought. It's apparently

a fantasy and I really don't know that much

about it. So I'm quite intrigued by this

one and it looks like a pretty short read.

I am so excited to read this one. This is

Iron Cast by Destiny Soria. This is the

upcoming Kindred Reader book of the

month for March and I'm so excited to be reading it

with them. I'll put a link to the Kindred

Readers Book Club down in the description box down below.

Apparently it has amazing female friendships.

I'm really excited to read this.

Yes! It's finally here. So this is A Closed and

Common Orbit by Becky Chambers. This is

the sequel to The Long Way to a Small

Angry Planet. Which was one of my absolute

favorite science fiction book from 2016.

I'm really really excited to read this

and this is definitely going to be a

priority to me in the next couple of

months because I just adore the original

story and this takes some of the

characters we met in the first book and

follows them in a lot more depth so I'm

really really excited and I've had great

things from friends of mine who already

finished it.

Another great science-fiction read. So this is Gemina which is the

sequel to Illuminae by

Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman, authors

from here in Melbourne. I really enjoyed

Illuminae and I really hope this is

going to be same. You can have a bit of

a look inside it has all sorts of

different patterns and memos. The

graphic design in these books is just

fantastic and it's just really such an

appealing thing to read. Plus they look gorgeous. So I

will be reading this one soon no doubt.

Pretty Delicious Cafe by Danielle Hawkins.

This was sent to me by Harper Collins and it's

set in New Zealand. It's about I think two

sisters or... no, friends who run a cafe

and it just seems like it's about

friendship and family and I really like

the sound of this like a light

contemporary read. So I might be picking this one up soon too.

This is a book which has been

recommended to me over and over and over

again as a part of my Read the World

challenge which I'm currently doing. This

is The Shadow of the Wind. I'm sure lots

of you have already read this but if you

haven't

perhaps you might want to read it along

with me sometime in the coming months.

I'm really intrigued by the story. I'm

told that there's a lot of beautiful

dedications to the amazing power of words.

And of course there's an amazing library in it.

So I'm really really excited to

read this

I'm going to talk about these two together because they are by

the same author. We have Dandelion Wine and

the Martian Chronicles both by Ray

Bradbury. Now Ray Bradbury is one of my

all-time favorite authors, I love his science

fiction and I find his way of seeing

the world really creative and intriguing.

So I just picked up these two because I have

other matching editions.

I'm really looking for reading these. And I

definitely always need more Ray Bradbury in my life.

That's it! Those are the 13 or so

books which I either purchased or

received, pre-ordered and were delivered to

me while I was traveling. I really don't know

where to start with these because they all

sound fantastic. They're all ones which I have been

looking forward to anticipating for a

while now and I don't know I just don't know.

So if you have an idea of where I should

start please let me know in the

comments below. Let me know if you

enjoyed any of these books, or if you

didn't enjoy them so that I can get a

good idea of what I should be reading

next. And if you'd like to check out the

reviews that I've written for the ones I

have actually read don't forget there's a link to them

in the description box below.

Also if you like my videos, if

you're enjoying hearing my opinions

about books and writing and ideas please

think about subscribing. I am back in

Australia now and will be putting out more

regular content. See ya!

The Most BIZARRE Religious Rituals Ever! - Duration: 12:07.

Here are the most bizarre rituals from around the world!

9- Dancing with the Dead

Here in the U.S we have some pretty nice ways of remembering the dead.

We have funerals, we erect monuments, we keep photo albums and cherish the memories of those

we have lost.

I'm sure they do that to some degree in places such as Madagascar, but they also have

a weird ritual that involves dancing with the dead.

Every seven years, the people of Madagascar hold a ritual known as Famadihana.

This ritual involves opening up family crypts and dancing with the remains of ancestors.

Of course there's a method to the perceived madness here.

The reasoning for this is that Malagasy believe that people are made from their ancestor's

old bodies, so in holding them in high regards, they ensure that really good people are born

in the future.

Plus they believe their spirit lingers on until the body decomposes completely, so this

is a chance for them to communicate with their deceased loved ones.

Famadihana is quite the affair.

There's music, elaborate food, family reunions, and of course...dancing.

The deceased are dressed in new clothes as well.

Also known as 'the turning of the bones", the practice dates back to around the 17th

century, though in recent years it's become less common due mainly to Christian missionaries

who discourage the practice.

For the most part, it seems like a way to honor the dead as well as an excuse for the

family to get together.

8 - Aghori

To say the Aghori are an interesting group of people would be a dramatic understatement.

As a subset of Hindus, the Aghori are known for their astonishing post mortem practices

which involve smearing human ashes all over their body, and using the bones of corpses

to make skull cups.

If you're unfamiliar with skull cups, they're pretty much what they sound like...cups made

from human skulls.

In some cases, they're even rumored to practice cannibalism and have sex with corpses.

Just to give you an idea what we're dealing with here.

From what we were able to glean, the Aghori have kind of a mixed reputation in India.

While they're respected by some for their supposed healing and spiritual powers, they're

also feared and avoided for obvious reasons.

I mean who really wants to f*ck with a dude having sex with a corpse while crafting cups

from a human skull?!

Aghoris worship a Hindu God named Shiva.

They're under the impression that by performing these bizarre acts, that they're curing

themselves of "evil bonds" such as sexual pleasure, anger, hatred, fear, greed, and

obsession.

The weird thing is that these guys don't really want any kind of recognition or social

standing, so the remain a secretive and mysterious bunch.

But if you wanna learn more, they usually dwell near cremation sites in India, Nepal

and rural Southeast Asia.

Let us know how it goes!!

7 - Jhator

Typically, humans go to great lengths to ensure that their dead are buried with dignity.

We bury them next to deceased family members, or we cremate them and scatter their ashes

somewhere of significance.

But in some cultures, they practice Jhator….or sky burials.

Practiced in Tibetan societies where Buddhism reigns supreme, Sky Burials involve laying

the corpse on a mountain top where it's decomposed by nature or eaten by birds.

The majority of Tibetan people and many Mongols adhere to Vajrayana Buddhism, which teaches

the transmigration of spirits.

There's no need to preserve the body, as it's now an empty vessel.

Birds may eat it or nature may cause it to decompose.

The function of the sky burial is to simply to dispose of the remains in as generous a

way as possible.

In much of Tibet and Qinghai, the ground is too hard and rocky to dig a grave, and, due

to the scarcity of fuel and timber, sky burials were typically more practical than the traditional

Buddhist practice of cremation.

6 - Land Diving

Well if you were ever curious about the historical precursor to bungee jumping, let us quench

your thirst for knowledge.

Chances are you've never heard of the nation Island of Vanuatu.

I don't know, maybe you're very geographically aware and you know all about it.

But anyways it's a series of islands located in the South Pacific Island.

On one island in particular, called Pentecost, the practice of "land jumping" is a very

real thing.

It's an odd and seemingly dangerous practice that involves men jumping from wooden towers

that are sometimes close to 100 feet tall, with vines tied around their feet.

That's it, no harnesses, no helmets...nothing!

Land Diving has ancient roots, as it allegedly started when an unhappy wife jumped out of

a tree to escape her sexually demanding husband.

But she faked him out by tying vines to her ankles.

When he jumped, he didn't have anything tied, soooooo he fell to his death.

Men began performing the ritualistic jumping to avoid being outsmarted like that ever again.

Confused?

Me too.

But these days the ritual is something of a spectacle for tourists.

It's done each year during the island's yam harvest, and now the men jump from great

big wooden towers rather than trees.

It's believed that a good dive will lead to a good harvest.

Practitioners also maintain that Land Diving can improve their health and prevent illnesses.

5 - Baby Throwing

Generally speaking, it's good to handle babies with care.

Not that I claim any expertise in toddler care, but I feel safe in saying that dropping

them from 50 feet might raise a few eyebrows.

Well that's exactly what they do in a few small villages in India.

Dating back some seven centuries, this dangerous ritual is performed in both Hindu and Muslim

cultures, though it wouldn't appear to be mainstream at all.

I should note that they don't just drop the baby from 50 feet up onto a sidewalk or

something.

What happens is that these tiny little humans are taken up to the roof of a mosque or shrine

while a bunch of guys stand below with a giant bedsheet to catch the baby.

Assuming they have good aim, all ends well, and according to the practitioners, this practice

provides good health and fortune for the families involved, although Human Rights Groups disagree.

Meh!!!

4 - Senicide

Once practiced in several cultures, such as the Eskimos, Senicide refers to killing or

the abandonment of the elderly.

While this sounds disgraceful and inhumane, certain cultures don't see it this way.

In Eskimo cultures such as the Inuit, for instance, where survival was a daily battle,

elderly people sometimes weren't able to contribute to the village the way they once could.

So sometimes they were set on an iceberg and drifted out to sea, or abandoned in the forest,

where they either starved to death or were killed by the elements.

But keep in mind, this hasn't really been a thing since the 17th century and even then

it was usually only when times were really bad, such as during a famine or something

of that nature.

That being said, there was a known case of it in 1939, but that was so remarkable because

it had been such a rare thing for ages.

Of course this seems totally taboo to us, because when we want food, we just open up

an app on our phone and can have a pizza delivered within minutes.

And it wasn't just the eskimos.

There are historical references to Senicide in Ancient Rome, Greece, India, Japan and

Serbia.

So while it's understandable why the practice has existed in the past, it's still an odd

concept.

"Okay kids wave goodbye to Grandpa...you'll never see him again."

3 - The Nine Emperor Gods Festival

To celebrate the the 9th lunar month on the Chinese Calendar, certain people in Singapore,

China, Thailand, Myanmar, and Malaysia observe the Nine Emperor Gods festival.

This nine day Taoist celebration involves all kinds of unusual rituals, such self mutilation,

body piercing, climbing up bladed ladders, running over hot coals and vegetarian diets.

Dating back to 1825, this festival is derived from Taoism and the Nine Emperor Stars, which

are formed by the seven stars from the Big Dipper and two other stars.

But we'll skip the history lesson here and cut to the chase.

In a display of religious devotion, participants of this Festival will push all kinds of objects,

such as blades, axe handles, or whatever else through their faces!

This supposedly is a test of their faith.

According to some participants, they don't even feel the pain because they work themselves

into a trance of sorts, so that's good...I guess!

In addition to these painful rituals, observers also adhere to a set of rules such as abstaining

from sex, wearing all white clothing and adopting a vegetarian diet during the nine day celebration.

As legend has it, the celebration dates back to 1825 on the tropical island of Phuket.

When performers from a traveling Opera visited they all got sick.

So they adopted a vegetarian diet and paid their respects to the Nine Emperor Gods...and

amazingly, they got all better.

Now how that evolved into what it is today, I'm still really not sure!

2 - The Sale of Indulgences

There're a lot of schemes out there.

Pyramids schemes, Ponzi Schemes, mail-order brides, the list goes on and on.

Scammers obviously go back a long ways in human history, and they'll always be around

in the future.

And long ago, the Catholic Church was one of the worst culprits.

During the Middle Ages the church went a little crazy with the Sale of Indulgences.

Now, an Indulgence is an odd ritual in and of itself.

It's a belief that by performing some kind of good deed or service, one can reduce the

punishment in the afterlife either for themselves or of a deceased loved one.

In many cases, these good deeds were supplemented with monetary donations, which were used as

the Church saw fit, often for both religious and civil pursuits.

But by the Middle Ages, some people within the church began to abuse this ritual.

Professional pardoners, as they were known, often demanded huge sums of money in return

for promising eternal salvation.

In return the churches were able to fund massive projects, such as cathedrals that took decades

to build, or crusades into foreign lands.

By the early 16th century, the Church was basically promising salvation in return for

donations to rebuild St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

The abuse became so blatant that it was one of the reasons that Martin Luther wrote his

95 thesis, which was essentially a list of grievances against the church and spawned

the protestant reformation.

1 - Self-Flagellation

Ashura is a way for Shia Muslims to commemorate the death of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson,

Husayn ibn Ali.

In some cases, things get a bit crazy though.

In a public display of mourning, some muslims indulge in the practice of self-flagellation.

As you can see from these photos, people attach knives to chains and whip themselves in the

back.

This guy is even taking a knife to a baby's head!

This painful ritual is a way for people to not only pay their respects to Husayn ibn

Ali, who was killed during the Battle of Karbala some 1,300 years ago, but also as a way for

people to cleanse themselves of their sins.

Okay, so observing the death of an important religious figure seems pretty normal.

But whether or not it's necessary to whip oneself with knives and chains, or to cut

a baby's head, is a matter of opinion, I suppose.

It should be noted that not all muslims condone or partake in this practice.

Maintaining that it has no religious significance, many muslim leaders are afraid the practice

reflect poorly on the religion.

According to the Daily Mail, they offer up more reasonable suggestions in lieu of self

flagellation, such as simply donating blood.

Here's what's next!
