How To Foam A Classic Show Car - 1954 Buick Special - Chemical Guys - Duration: 7:37.

What's up cats and kittens welcome back to the Detail Garage!

Today as you can see we have a 1954 Buick Special.

It's black which shows any kind of imperfection as well as dirt and debris.

This car has been sitting outside of my buddies shop where it has collected a lot of dust

and some water spots but we're going to take care of that today using our TORQ Foam Cannon

and Black Light Soap.

Black Light Soap is designed for dark colored cars to produce a lot of foam which acts as

lubrication and also that foaming action emulsifies any dirt or debris so you won't scratch the finish.

To get started I've got my two buckets set up here, we're going to place one Dirt Trap

in each bucket.

I've gone with black and red, the color doesn't make a difference but since this car has a

black exterior and a red interior it makes a neat combination.

We'll place one inside of our clean bucket and this is where we will put our soap.

I place it in at an angle this way we don't trap any air underneath it and as you press

it all the way to the bottom it will create a seal and this way when you wring your wash

mitt inside of here it will prevent dirt from coming back up through the cones.

Over here I have a rinse bucket that I will place the second Dirt Trap in.

This is to further reduce the amount of dirt and debris that is returning to the vehicle.

So now that I've got both Dirt Traps set up I'm going to load up our wash bucket.

Using about an ounce of Black Light Soap for the bucket and I'll also fill up our Foam

Cannon while we're at it.

I've already pre-filled this bottle with water and now I'll add about an ounce of the solution

to the water bottle.

Now I'll reattach the top and mix it all together this way the water and soap solution can create

a decent amount of foam.

The foam, like I said, is going to help emulsify the dirt and it is also acting as lubrication

and this lubrication reduces the chances of scratching for a perfect scratch-free shine.

So before we start foaming up the car we are going to activate the suds in this bucket

and then we can rinse down the car that way we can knock off as much of the loose dirt

and debris as we can and then we'll attach the Foam Cannon and start foaming

and washing this baby.

So, now I'm done foaming the car we are going to start washing it.

Using our Wash Pad, this is going to trap a lot of foam and the foam is going to lubricate

which reduces scratches.

I'll take it over to the vehicle and starting at the highest point.

We'll work in straight lines and this is pulling off all the dirt and debris without scratching.

As you wash you're going to start picking up all that dirt and debris but that is what

your second bucket is for, you'll press the pad all the way down against the Dirt Trap

and that is helping release any of the grime that is stuck in the noodles and trap them

underneath cones this way you're not bringing it back on the car.

I'll wring it out on the ground.

By wringing it out on the ground I'm taking as much of the filth and debris out of the

bucket to prevent it from getting back on the car.

We'll grab some more foam and keep on washing.

So by using the Wash Pad I was able to safely remove all the dirt and debris that was sitting

on top of the surface.

Also by using the Black Light Soap it has created tons of shaving cream thick foam which

acts as lubrication so we don't scratch it.

Now black is something that shows any kind of imperfection but this being a classic car

we want to take as much precaution that way we don't damage the finish.

So, to prevent water spots and the soap from drying we are going to rinse it off now.

Typically on a sunny day you don't have much time to work with this but since it's pretty

gloomy out we're going to take our time and make sure we get all the water off of it and

we'll dry it for a perfect dry finish.

So now that the car is all rinsed down, I'm going to take off all the water so we don't

create any water spots.

To help me accomplish that I'm using our Woolly Mammoth Drying Towel.

This towel is super plush so it's going to pick up all that water without streaking and

since it has this silk banded edge we don't have to worry about installing new swirls

or scratches.

Just like I did when I was washing I'll start at the highest point.

I'll drape this on the vehicle and gently pull off all this water.

You can always fold it in four to buff off or if you are working on small sections just

as long as you get all that water off for a perfect streak-free shine.

Alright guys, I've just finished washing and drying this 1954 Buick Special.

It's a mild custom, it has these side pipes and MOON discs.

Just looking at the paintwork you can tell it's really shiny.

Using Black Light Soap I was able to emulsify all the dirt and debris that was sitting on

the surface and since it creates these thick suds it lubricates so we don't add any new

scratches or swirls.

So tomorrow we'll bring it back and coat it with C9 and that is

going to give it a slick finish and prevent harmful UV rays from degrading the finish.

Best Camera Settings for Mavic Pro – Walkthrough - Duration: 9:18.

When shooting great looking footage there's really no way around looking at

best camera settings for Mavic Pro. In this episode I will explain the

camera menu and include my recommendations for best settings

Welcome to this series of tips and tricks to record video with the Mavic Pro

I have covered some of the camera settings in details in previous

episodes, so make sure to check the description below for links for these

videos. If you stick with me to the end of this video I will include a pro tip

that will make sure that your object is always in focus. Before we're getting

into the menu I want to remind you that we uploading Drone and eWheel related

material weekly to help you get the best out of your equipment. So if you're new

to this channel then hit the subscribe button below and the bell notification

next to it, so you don't miss out on anything. Apart from understanding

scene specific settings like ISO and shutter speed, setting the right

resolution, white balance, color profiles, framerate and style is essential for

achieving a great result. Let's dive into it. The camera menu is

divided into three sections. The first one is scene specific, the

second is a pre-flight and the last is a general settings. The first is

direct scene specific settings that includes ISO and shutter speed and a

switch that will allow you to switch between auto and manuel mode

Manually setting of shutter speed and ISO has been covered in a previous

episode. I will make sure to leave a link in the description below. You will

primarily be adjusting these parameters during flight with the camera set to

manuel. Auto should be avoided because this is changing the shutter speed away from

the fixed one you have selected to produce a certain look and feel to

your footage. In the second tab you have the pre-flight parameters that are

normally set before takeoff

The first point you have to decide is the video size and resolution. There are

many opinions about the resolution you can choose from 4k in 24 frames per

second down to 720p in 120 frames per second. I have found that the best

resolution for me is a 2.7 K 30 frames per second as this offers the best

compromise between resolution and file size. Many like to shoot in 24 fps

I prefer 30 fps when it involves movement as this

seems to produce a smoother image during playback. You need to select NTSC as

video standard for 30 fps to be available under 2.7 K. What is your

preferred resolution and why? Please leave a comment in the comment section below

Under the video format setting you can select between MOV or MP4.

MOV tends to create bigger files, but that does not necessarily mean their

quality if higher. If you work on a Mac you should select MOV. if you work

on a PC you should select mp4. Under the setting NTSC/PAL you are

selecting the video standard. NTSC will allow you to change for most resolutions

between 24 or 30 fps. PAL will reduce these options to 25 and 24 fps

As mentioned with NTSC you have the options to go up with

some of the 4k resolution to 30 fps. I recommend shooting

some test footage for yourself and reviewed with the frame-rate you prefer

I will stick with 30 fps.

Note that 30 fps in reality is 29.97 NTSC standard. This is important to know when you import your

footage into your timeline. I have found matching the frame-rate after the drone

footage with the timeline produces and less jittery result in the final

rendered video. If you're adding 30 fps footage into a

25 fps timeline the editing software would have to skip frames to make it fit

this is what causes the jittery Under white balance you need to select

the white balance so it matches the weather. Normal for outside flying

you would have to switch between sunny or cloudy. You can set a custom

temperature if you prefer but sunny or cloudy should be sufficient for most

cases. Under the style settings you can set digital sharpness contrast and

saturation of your footage. How you find the optimum air but that requires

testing, but the recommendation is to go for something like 0, 0, +1

this means the situation has been cranked up a bit. If you prefer the

picture sharper you could use +1 for digital sharpness. One of the

previous episode covers the style settings menu in details. I will make

sure to include a link in the description below. Mavic has a big

selection of color profiles that can be used for different purposes depending on

what you want to do with your footage. If you're planning to do any post color

grading you want to select formats like dlog or D-Cinelike that leaves the

image flat but, preserves as much information as possible. If you want to

use the footage right out of the camera you want to select profile like TrueColor

or you could select one of the other profiles that add a certain mood

to your footage. Again this topic has been covered in a previous episode where you

can see how each color profiles is rendered out into a final video. The last tab is

the general settings. Some of the options under the settings is used for taking

pictures, but I will only highlight the ones that is useful for making video.

The first one is the histogram. You absolutely need the histogram to be able

to judge if the picture is underexposed. With the histogram enabled you get a

small chart inside your viewfinder and you can move it around like this. The

idea behind the histogram is to give a visual representation of the

exposure of the shot. You want to make sure that the chart always stays within

the frames so the shot is not under or overexposed

The next settings that I would mention is the overexposure warning

With this option enabled you have tiger stripes in the areas of your shot that

is overexposed. This is helpful when you're outside in the Sun where the

screen is hard to see. You need to increase the shutter speed on the dial

on the right side to compensate for the exposure or you need to add an ND filter

With this option you can enable a grid. I think it's not needed as there is enough

going on, on the screen as it is. But this is of course a personal preference.

File index mode that is a pretty nice feature to know. If you shoot a lot of videos

selecting file index mode to continues is preferred as every file name is

unique. In this way you will not alright your precious footage. A minor thing that

is worth mentioning, is this anti flicker. If you're flying in Europe or in the US

you might want to enable this one if you're flying in artificial light

because you might experience some flickering on the screen and this anti

flicker setting might help you to prevent that. If you fly in Europe you

have to choose the 50 Hertz and if you're flying the US you will need to

choose 60. In the bottom of the general settings menu you can format your SD

card. You don't need to worry about that your SD card is full before you go out flying

you can just format it on the fly. Of course you need to know that it will

delete everything that's on this SD card prior to the formatting. But

it's pretty nice that you can format it and you can get a

clean sheet when you start flying. As I promise in the beginning of this video I

have a pro tip that will help you keep your object in focus. This function is

called peak focus threshold and we basically draw red lines around the

object or area that is in focus. This makes it very easy to see what's in

focus even in bright sunlight. It's not pretty

but don't worry it will not be recorded in the final footage. Now you should be

ready to make some really great looking footage.

2005-2014 Mustang GT Coupe Ford Performance Lowering K-Springs Review & Install - Duration: 4:43.

This spring is perfect for those owners out there that are looking to maintain ride quality

and still gain one of the biggest drops from a lowering spring that's going to improve

the '05 to '14.

Lowering springs have a big impact on both the looks and handling of the S197, and these

offer one of the largest drops for these cars with a one and a half inch drop.

The install here is going to take about four hours.

I'm going to call it a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

I want to start off by clarifying what years exactly these springs will fit.

These were designed specifically for use on the '05 to '10 Mustang coupes, but they will

also fit the 2011 to '14 coupes as long as they have the Ford Performance upper strut

mounts and dampers.

These springs will drop the GT about one and a half inches all the way around the car.

Like I said, it doesn't get much lower than this for an S197 from a lowering spring.

It may not sound like it, but that is a pretty big drop.

Depending on your wheel and tire setup, this drop is going to eliminate a lot of wheel

gap that the car has from the factory.

It's going to leave the car sitting nice and even a little above the tires.

Of course, that can change depending on what size wheels you're running.

For the one and a half inch drop, you can expect a lower center of gravity which will

create more track-like handling capabilities.

These springs are really going to reduce squat during acceleration and reduce wheel hop as

well.

You're also looking at much less body roll during cornering and less nose dive during

braking.

If you think these springs have too much of a drop or you really want to hang on to some

of those softer ride quality characteristics, there are a ton of other spring offerings

that you can always check out.

Eibach, Steeda, and Ford Performance also offer spring kits that won't drop the car

as much.

These springs do offer that more aggressive drop, but this doesn't mean that the K springs

won't work on a daily driven car.

They'll work just fine.

It really all comes down to your personal preference and what you want out of the springs.

These springs, since they do offer more of a drop, will tend to give a little bit more

of a rough ride quality than some other options.

They're going to be stiffer than the factory springs as well, so you notice more road noise.

I wouldn't say that these give a bad ride quality.

They're still a progressive spring and progressive springs concentrate on providing balance at

all times in order to improve handling.

They're just not as soft as factory.

At the same time though, these springs are more forgiving than a spring with a larger

drop would be and much more forgiving than a linear spring.

I do want to say that a lot of times when you're shopping for lowering springs you're

also shopping for things like adjustable caster camber plates and a new set of both shocks

and struts.

In this case, I would say that caster camber plates are required because a one and a half

inch drop is about the limit of where you need a set of adjustable C.C. plates in order

to get the alignment within spec.

It's going to be close, so a set of C.C. plates wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

At the end of the day, it never hurts to have caster camber plates.

If you've got the extra cash, I'd say go ahead.

As far as shocks and struts, this goes back to the drop, too.

I'd say that you can get away with the factory shocks and struts in this case due to the

more forgiving progressive spring rate.

I'd also say that this is the case if you have some components with relatively low mileage.

If your shocks and struts have a ton of miles on them, I'd replace them.

When it comes to price, these springs are going to be one of the middle of the road

options.

They're not the most expensive but they aren't the least expensive, either.

They cost just under $200.

If you're just looking to get your car lower and you aren't concerned with ride quality,

there are some other options on the site that cost a little less and they'll get you where

you need to be.

On the other hand, if you are concerned with keeping a nicer ride quality and getting as

low as possible, you're shopping in the right place.

The install here is going to take about four hours.

I'm going to call it a two out of three wrenches on the scale.

You will need some knowledge to complete the install.

I'd recommend having a knowledgeable helping hand or taking this to a shop for the install,

especially since it's always a good idea to get an alignment after the install anyway.

This install can be done on jack stands if you don't have access to a lift, but as usual,

a lift would be your best bet here.

You're going to need a few tools including a spring compressor, so you make sure you

have that before you start the install.

You're going to need to get down to the spring and strut assembly, so everything like the

wheels, brakes, and ABS lines will need to be moved out of the way so you can pull the

assemblies out of the car.

The spring compressor will help you remove the spring from the strut and install the

new front springs which are compressed and install the same way.

The strut assemblies go back in the same way they came out.

The install is the same for both sides.

The rear is nearly the same.

You need to disassemble some items to get to the springs, but ultimately you'll be able

to lower the rear axle to the point where the springs will be free.

Just like the front, the rear springs install the same way they were uninstalled.

No surprises here.

The rubber insulators are transferred over and the new bump stops can be installed.

After the new springs are in, you can begin reinstalling the shocks and everything else

that you uninstalled.

That's about all it's going to take.

Like I mentioned earlier, a fresh alignment after the install isn't a bad idea.

Wrapping things up here with this review on the Ford Performance K lowering springs, these'll

fit the 2005 to 2014 GT.

okay what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna give you 5 facts about Spur which is going

to be the title I don't know where it is wherever the title is when you watch

this video maybe it's down there I'm gonna give you 5 facts about spoon then

my camera died while I was busy doing that thing so the camera is going to

die then you're going to come back here and I'm gonna give you something else

it's got nothing to do with Spur and that's what's going to be the title of

my vlog I think

K so I'm at spur which is getting a lot of negative flack for all kinds of

weird reasons I just decided to come here to show you 5 facts about Spur

First fact is that Spur is 50 years old now you see me I don't know I didn't know it was 50

but it's 50 years old this year the second thing about Spur was that the

logo wasn't always an American Indian it used to actually be a spur

triangle looking things that Cowboys wear on their boots and then they changed

it to this dude

K they changed it to a few other dudes before this dude but this isn't now

the Spur logo I don't know why it's an American Indian it's a bit of a strange

one to move from a cowboy symbol to an American Indian the third fact is that

they have three flavors on the menu burger

steak and ribs and I ordered breakfast

my breakfast tastes like a mix of burger and steak it's kind of a little bit ribbish

which is the three flavors they have it's all in this meal

it has a bison on it okay number four is that they have cool things with bisons on

them and a canoe

this is the fifth one, this is actually war paint for horses and not cow print like I always thought it was

you know that I bet you didn't you thought it was a cow k one more extra fact this is your bonus

feature here's Spur I have to run in Rosebank Mall

and this is Mike's kitchen and something that happened was they had like a

franchise war back in the day and one came out on top and the one was Spur and

Mike's kitchen kind of disappeared until recently now there's some more bet you didn't

know that one now that's a new fact

it might not look like it but you were sitting on a bench

what I wanted to do was film people's feet as they walked past but just there feet

because I thought it would look quite cool but naturally when I wanted to do

that nobody was walking past but now that I'm speaking to a camera there's

thousands of people walking past and it's kind of awkward but that's okay

two things have happened since I left spur the one is

the Sun came out you can't see it over here the skies are blue the second thing is a

bunch of cool quotes over there which I'll show you I picked

out one by Nelson Mandela so I'm gonna go and film that now

so that's a Nelson Mandela quote I'm still flipping cold but they've got a few so they got

Nelson Mandela some other dude some other dudes there's like four quotes

I've never seen this before there's like it's actually a whole thing here I've never

seen this before this is in Rosebank Mall

I made it part of my job well they're don't have hands like we do

okay you're back here now which means that the camera has officially died from that segment I

am at the engen petrol station in Sandringham on George Avenue which is actually

lots of trash more trash there's also a fence that never used to be here before

for a mall that runs parallel to the petrol station it's more trash lots and

lots and lots of pigeons do you think if they stopped moving their heads when

I don't know what a petrol station is called in other countries but here it's

a petrol station gas station I don't know something else I found here which I

haven't seen in like forever is

The Original DuckTales Is Now On iTunes! | Secret Screening - Duration: 6:00.

For those who missed the news, quietly and with zero fanfare Disney has released the

entire original series of DuckTales on iTunes!

There's some good news and bad news attached with this story, but don't worry.

I'll guide you through it.

That's right folks, for the first time ever you can now own all 100 episodes of the original

series of DuckTales.

This includes the five part pilot, all five parts of Time Is Money, all five parts of

Super DuckTales, and both parts of The Golden Goose.

Most importantly it also includes the remaining episodes Disney never bothered to release

on DVD in often teased but never delivered fourth box set.

This means you can finally purchase some of the best episodes of the series!

Like Allowance Day, Dough Ray Me, My Mother The Psychic, Beaglemania, and The Masked Mallard.

Many of which haven't been aired in years.

However, there is some bad news.

To make these old episodes more palatable to impulse buy, they've cleaved the series

into 6 volumes, each priced at 14.99.

Considering each volume has 16 episodes, save for the last two that have 18 and 17 respectively

in order to keep their multi-part episode arcs in the same volume, you're getting

some pretty decent value per episode.

Spread over the whole series, you get 100 episodes for 89.94 plus tax.

At roughly 89 cents per episode, it seems like a bargain.

Especially when they have the gall to charge 1.99 per episode outside of the volume bundle.

But is it a bargain?

Unfortunately, not really.

You see right now, you can get volumes 1 through 3 of the DuckTales DVD box sets for roughly

9 dollars each on Amazon.

Since the newly released final season episodes are spread across Volumes 5 and 6 on iTunes,

that means you can still pick up all 100 episodes for under 60 dollars even after the temporary

sale is over!

Even factoring in that you're rebuying 10 episodes - the Time Is Money and Super DuckTales

story arcs - you're still saving 30 bucks over the full iTunes price.

Now I know what you're saying: "But Doug!

DVDs are so two thousands!

The first three box sets are in cruddy SD!!

Why would I buy those?!"

Well, here's the rest of the bad news.

All of these episodes are in SD.

Seriously!

All of the footage I've been showing you has been from the last two volumes offered

on iTunes!

In addition to being SD, they look like really dingy and dirty digital transfers from a fan's

VHS collection.

Look.

I know HD remasterings cost a lot of money.

Especially when they have around 50 hours worth of content to painstakingly go through

frame by frame.

But if they had taken the time to clean these transfers up or at least make them look a

little better than the episodes they released on DVD, then I would have gladly shelled out

full price for easy digital downloads of the whole series.

But in it's current state, I strongly recommend you invest in the DVDs if you haven't already.

They're just going to get cheaper from here on out, and as a cool bonus, you get a nice

looking box to display on your shelf.

Additionally, there are a few other Disney Afternoon titles that snuck into iTunes.

You can now purchase the whole series of Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, Goof

Troop, and Gargoyles.

I was surprised to find out that both Gummi Bears and Darkwing Duck are not available.

Perhaps they have issues with their digital distribution rights?

I don't know.

However they do have DVD sets out that basically cover those entire series.

Things You Should Never Wear On An Airplane - Duration: 5:29.

Next time you're taking a trip, give yourself a minute to look around the airport.

You'll see fellow travelers rocking their personal style, whether it's comfortable sweats

or glammed up maxis.

But no matter what look you're rocking, here are some jet-setting don'ts we should all

be aware of.

It's complicated

Most trips on a plane mean you'll be sitting in a tight space for an extended period of

time — and don't forget the bathrooms, either.

Make sure to avoid any outfits that will be too complicated to get off and on in those

teeny tiny lavatories.

Hitha Palepu, author of How To Pack and founder of the site Hitha On The Go says, "Jumpsuits

are difficult to remove in teeny bathrooms.

Also avoid short skirts or dresses and anything low cut."

Kaarin Vembar, co-host of the Pop Fashion podcast, recommended staying away from "anything

that is very fussy.

You want to be able to be comfortable!"

Considering your Instagram habit, it's tempting to break out a brand new outfit for your flight.

But relationship expert April Masini says, "Never wear a anything, that if it gets spilled

on, will supremely bum you out.

It's very easy to spill or get spilled on when there's turbulence and elbow-to-elbow

seat mates."

"If you were in the dust bowl and got thrown a bunch of pain on you what would that look

like?

Save your outfit of the day for when you're officially off-duty!

Highs and lows

With the fluctuating temperatures on planes, it's hard to know how to dress.

Masani notes, "Planes have a funny way of getting chilly, so don't wear something for

hot weather, even if you're traveling to a hot weather climate, without bringing layers

to snuggle up in during a plane ride."

But planes can also get pretty hot.

Richardson says, - "Wearing layers means you can adapt to whatever the temperature is on

the flight is that day and throughout the flight."

Meanwhile, Aaron Hockel, who travels extensively for business — in sneakers — said one

thing he never travels in anymore is flip flops.

He explained:

"Let's face it, airplanes can get very hot, and that means sweating.

It is incredibly embarrassing to smell your own feet at the start of a five or six hour

cross country flight with no options to cover them up."

While we're on the subject of footwear...

Killer shoes

When it comes to your feet and flying, go for comfort over style.

You never know how far away your gate will be, so make sure you're able to easily walk

or run.

Throw some cute heels in your carry-on if you're hitting a trendy spot as soon as you

arrive.

Redfin Chief Economist Nela Richardson says, "It's common knowledge that your feet will

swell on a plane, so...I like to avoid heels and wear shoes that are cute but comfortable,

like a pair of mary-janes that have a good insole, or a pair of stylish sneakers."

There is so --much to do on the morning of a flight, so sometimes getting dressed just

seems like too much work.

However, you're still going out in public.

Don't show up to the gate agent in your jammies.

Vembar says, "I know that airlines are such a pain these days, but dress up a smidgen.

It's okay if you wear athleisure-wear, but think of your fellow passengers and try to

put on a fresh set of clothes before you board."

Heavy metal

Going for a little sparkle?

Don't forget about getting through security.

Vembar notes, "This one is a bit of a surprise, but did you know that a number of sweaters

that look metallic actually have metallic threads woven through the garment?

Not wearing this is more about the hassle you will get through security, because you

will absolutely be stopped before you even make it to your gate."

Making scents

Be mindful of your fellow passengers when applying your favorite perfume or lotion before

your flight.

Vembar recommends, "Anything scented should be applied with a light touch.

This is being a good neighbor, because you never know what types of allergies people

have around you."

Baggy clothes

When you travel, you wanna be comfortable, so chillaxed clothing might seem like a good

choice.

However, it may also make you look a tad suspicious.

Tracy Edwards from AAA Travel Sales told CBS News, "Loose clothing will cause some delays

because they think you're hiding something under there."

Save the mystery for Vegas!

Get comfortable

So what can you wear on a plane?

Palepu says,"My go-to travel outfit [is] skinny ponte pants, a longer t-shirt, a cardigan

or blazer, comfortable flats...and a scarf wrapped around my neck.

I also like a full monochrome look with wide-legged pants, matching t-shirt, and a draped trench

all in the same color."

Think easy-breezy when you choose your look.

Palepu says, "Maxi dresses are great when traveling to a warm location, topped with

a denim jacket.

Just stuff the jacket in your bag and you're ready to hit the beach!"

Too much jewelry will hold you up in security, but wearing a great scarf instead can keep

you warm and looking chic on the flight.

Overall, just make sure you're comfortable.

Just not...too comfortable...

Dress code

Leggings may seem like the perfect travel pant, but they could keep you from boarding

your flight.

In 2017, United Airlines landed in hot water for not allowing two teenage girls wearing

leggings to board.

The airline tweeted, "The passengers this morning were United pass riders who were not

in compliance with our dress code policy for company benefit travel."

But even if you disagree with the dress code, it's not going to change.

Virgin America CEO David Cush told Fox News, "In the end, the flight crew is in charge

of the aircraft, and they have to make judgments based on what they think is going to create

the safest and most comfortable environment for everyone on the airplane."

"It's policy.

have to do is simply click on the hard drive select your clips and drag them

2005-2014 Mustang GT Coupe Ford Performance Lowering K-Springs Review & Install - Duration: 4:43.

This spring is perfect for those owners out there that are looking to maintain ride quality

and still gain one of the biggest drops from a lowering spring that's going to improve

the '05 to '14.

Lowering springs have a big impact on both the looks and handling of the S197, and these

offer one of the largest drops for these cars with a one and a half inch drop.

The install here is going to take about four hours.

I'm going to call it a two out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.

I want to start off by clarifying what years exactly these springs will fit.

These were designed specifically for use on the '05 to '10 Mustang coupes, but they will

also fit the 2011 to '14 coupes as long as they have the Ford Performance upper strut

mounts and dampers.

These springs will drop the GT about one and a half inches all the way around the car.

Like I said, it doesn't get much lower than this for an S197 from a lowering spring.

It may not sound like it, but that is a pretty big drop.

Depending on your wheel and tire setup, this drop is going to eliminate a lot of wheel

gap that the car has from the factory.

It's going to leave the car sitting nice and even a little above the tires.

Of course, that can change depending on what size wheels you're running.

For the one and a half inch drop, you can expect a lower center of gravity which will

create more track-like handling capabilities.

These springs are really going to reduce squat during acceleration and reduce wheel hop as

well.

You're also looking at much less body roll during cornering and less nose dive during

braking.

If you think these springs have too much of a drop or you really want to hang on to some

of those softer ride quality characteristics, there are a ton of other spring offerings

that you can always check out.

Eibach, Steeda, and Ford Performance also offer spring kits that won't drop the car

as much.

These springs do offer that more aggressive drop, but this doesn't mean that the K springs

won't work on a daily driven car.

They'll work just fine.

It really all comes down to your personal preference and what you want out of the springs.

These springs, since they do offer more of a drop, will tend to give a little bit more

of a rough ride quality than some other options.

They're going to be stiffer than the factory springs as well, so you notice more road noise.

I wouldn't say that these give a bad ride quality.

They're still a progressive spring and progressive springs concentrate on providing balance at

all times in order to improve handling.

They're just not as soft as factory.

At the same time though, these springs are more forgiving than a spring with a larger

drop would be and much more forgiving than a linear spring.

I do want to say that a lot of times when you're shopping for lowering springs you're

also shopping for things like adjustable caster camber plates and a new set of both shocks

and struts.

In this case, I would say that caster camber plates are required because a one and a half

inch drop is about the limit of where you need a set of adjustable C.C. plates in order

to get the alignment within spec.

It's going to be close, so a set of C.C. plates wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

At the end of the day, it never hurts to have caster camber plates.

If you've got the extra cash, I'd say go ahead.

As far as shocks and struts, this goes back to the drop, too.

I'd say that you can get away with the factory shocks and struts in this case due to the

more forgiving progressive spring rate.

I'd also say that this is the case if you have some components with relatively low mileage.

If your shocks and struts have a ton of miles on them, I'd replace them.

When it comes to price, these springs are going to be one of the middle of the road

options.

They're not the most expensive but they aren't the least expensive, either.

They cost just under $200.

If you're just looking to get your car lower and you aren't concerned with ride quality,

there are some other options on the site that cost a little less and they'll get you where

you need to be.

On the other hand, if you are concerned with keeping a nicer ride quality and getting as

low as possible, you're shopping in the right place.

The install here is going to take about four hours.

I'm going to call it a two out of three wrenches on the scale.

You will need some knowledge to complete the install.

I'd recommend having a knowledgeable helping hand or taking this to a shop for the install,

especially since it's always a good idea to get an alignment after the install anyway.

This install can be done on jack stands if you don't have access to a lift, but as usual,

a lift would be your best bet here.

You're going to need a few tools including a spring compressor, so you make sure you

have that before you start the install.

You're going to need to get down to the spring and strut assembly, so everything like the

wheels, brakes, and ABS lines will need to be moved out of the way so you can pull the

assemblies out of the car.

The spring compressor will help you remove the spring from the strut and install the

new front springs which are compressed and install the same way.

The strut assemblies go back in the same way they came out.

The install is the same for both sides.

The rear is nearly the same.

You need to disassemble some items to get to the springs, but ultimately you'll be able

to lower the rear axle to the point where the springs will be free.

Just like the front, the rear springs install the same way they were uninstalled.

No surprises here.

The rubber insulators are transferred over and the new bump stops can be installed.

After the new springs are in, you can begin reinstalling the shocks and everything else

that you uninstalled.

That's about all it's going to take.

Like I mentioned earlier, a fresh alignment after the install isn't a bad idea.

Wrapping things up here with this review on the Ford Performance K lowering springs, these'll

fit the 2005 to 2014 GT.

we'll work on those as well yeah all in all pretty darn great day but that's all
