Space Dust Exobiology and Exofossils - Duration: 8:22.
The recent story of A/2017 U1, the first asteroid we've seen that's likely of interstellar origin,
underscores the possibility that the study of other star systems directly, hands on,
is within our grasp and may happen far sooner than our ability to travel to those star systems
ourselves.
Up until relatively recently, other than the occasional comet, supernova or variable star,
we didn't have the equipment to view the universe at a level where the real action can be seen.
But now we do and we're seeing all sorts of odd things from gravitational waves coming
in from merging neutron stars to exocomets passing in front of stars light years away
showing that the universe is a very dynamic place.
But what's also becoming evident is that our solar system is not isolated from the rest
of the galaxy and indeed is a part of a galactic whole that not only exchanges information
through the electromagnetic spectrum, but also through materials.
Materials can come in a number of forms.
A/2017 U1 is believed to be an asteroid of interstellar origin, but it's also possible
that we could see comets from other star systems pass through the solar system in the future,
and there's even the possibility that several comets already in our solar system are actually
captured former exocomets.
And even the hypothesized planets nine and ten, if either exist, could be planets captured
from other star systems early in the sun's history, or even captured rogue planets that
may have originally formed in another part of the galaxy entirely.
But, as I touched on briefly in a recent video, these are not the closest interstellar materials
to us.
Grains of dust from the interstellar medium, and perhaps other star systems, are constantly
raining down on earth in addition to materials from many bodies in our solar system including
Mars in the form of meteorites.
These are all of immense scientific interest on many fronts, whether you want to study
the origins of the solar system or to establish if microbes once lived on Mars.
But I think the most interesting aspect, one that's almost entirely unexplored, is what
materials from other solar systems might tell us about life in the universe.
One almost certain given there is that we're going to find the building blocks of life
in these interstellar objects.
In fact, we already have with objects from our own solar system, amino acids have been
found in a class of meteorite known as the carbonaceous chondrites, the origin of which,
at least for some examples, are probably comets.
We also know that organic chemistry permeates the galaxy, seemingly most places we look
we see organics and materials from other solar systems are likely not going to be an exception,
especially when looking at exocomets.
But those are just the building blocks, not life itself.
Is it possible that we might find evidence of life itself in another star system locked
up in some interstellar asteroid or dust?
The answer is hypothetically yes, but very unlikely, unless you're willing to look and
wait for billions of years.
Which we may well do, we have plenty of time on our hands before the universe goes dark.
And the notion even applies to intelligent life.
It's possible that some day an asteroid exhibiting clear signs of having been mined might turn
up from outside the solar system.
I think the odds of this are astronomical, but it is within the realm of the possible
if you wait long enough.
And the disappointing if you happen to be an asteroid miner and the aliens already got
to the gold.
But as far as simple life, this is probably more likely, though it's hard to envision
much evidence of life surviving the environment of space for millions of years, it's a seriously
harsh environment.
Then again, preexistent fossils might.
Who knows if a sedimentary rock with clear evidence of fossilized life blown off a planet
in another star system long ago might come our way.
But you can also take this thinking from the opposite direction.
What from Earth might end up in deep space to be discovered by aliens?
Well, obviously some of our probes might, though only marginally so.
Those are needles in a haystack, and that might be a good thing.
If aliens find the Pioneer plaque and subsequently study earth and figure out it's not exactly
the warmest place in the universe, the first communication we get from an alien civilization
might be winter clothing designs.
But there are other possibilities.
Earth has been hit by asteroids in the past, and the possibility of ejected material exists.
Much of this would remain in the solar system, opening up the possibility that we may, probably
after centuries of solar system colonization, find rocks from very early in the earth's
history floating in space and that might tell us more about early life on earth than anything
left on earth can.
But ejection from the solar system is possible too.
Who knows what someone out there might someday find that originated from our planet.
But there is an interesting recent side note to these ideas.
In a paper by Arjun Berera, link below, he proposes a very novel idea.
It goes like this, space dust traveling at hypervelocity grazing the earth's atmosphere
could in itself propel materials from the atmosphere into space.
Most of this will just be atoms of oxygen and the like, but, given that there are microbes
and evidence of biology all through our atmosphere, that means that they too could get propelled
into space.
Some of that potential stuff, such as tardigrades and bacterial spores have been shown to be
able to survive the conditions of space, for a time.
But not long of a time, and exposure to the radiation of space probably wouldn't allow
something like that to preserve on geologic time scales.
But if it happened to deposit on something, say an asteroid or comet, or even the moon,
it might last much longer, or if still alive somehow establish itself through panspermia
within the solar system.
Interstellar panspermia would be much more difficult, over the immense amounts of time
that it would take to travel between star systems, it's hard to envision anything alive
making it that long.
But its chemical building blocks might, or even fossils of it, opening up the possibility
for life to arise again from the materials of long dead life from another system.
I also wonder what might fossilize and end up in space from the age of technology.
We make some materials that could, hypothetically, end up in ocean sediments and fossilize or
preserve to some degree for a very long time.
There's actually an obscure natural case of meteorites that fell half a billion years
ago preserving in the sedimentary rock in a quarry in Sweden.
Could this happen with evidence of our technology?
One can envision an almost sad scenario where an alien race some day finds sedimentary rock,
originally laid down in the Pacific ocean and then blasted into space by an asteroid,
bearing evidence of our long dead civilization in form of an artifact.
This strange remnant might be the first evidence the aliens have ever found of others in the
universe, and they might marvel at it and try to determine what it might have been.
Perhaps there are strange markings on it that they cannot decipher and it might end up in
a museum exhibit where generations wonder what this strange crumpled object sticking
out of a rock might say.
Might they build a supercomputer whose sole task is deciphering this strange code?
Maybe they will find more evidence over the millennia that lets them crack the code and
the greatest mystery in the future universe is "what exactly was a cheeto".
I say that partly in jest, but finding artifacts like that is possible, the remains of a glass
bottle embedded in sedimentary rock could last a very long time in deep space, and plenty
of our trash is certainly making its way into the oceans sediments.
And we do live in a universe that could be here for trillions of years, that's plenty
of time for someone to find something, but I find it interesting and even poetic that
interstellar grains, themselves perhaps holding unseen clues of life in the universe, grazing
the earth's atmosphere could be ejecting our life into space and may have done so for billions
of years only to end up who knows where.
The universe is a dynamic place indeed.
Thanks for listening!

Ultimate Soul Transformation - Duration: 3:48.
Ultimate Soul Transformation
by Adeana M. Slater,
I think its good to talk about where we are collectively and where we want to be.
Experience is always available and ever ready to change your view points time and time again.
There is no such thing as an ending point when it comes to soul evolution.
Its is an ongoing process.
We appreciate the experiences placed before us, we learn, we heal, we rise above and then
continue onto the next rodeo of our soul.
Ive mentioned this mantra before but let us remember we have no finish line.
Its highly encouraged that you set personal goals.
Write them down.
Use a vision board or daily affirmations to extend yourself and uplift even higher as
a soul, but dont be discouraged that there is more to heal, there is more to explore,
and you have more heart and soul potential than you give yourself credit for.
You and I may still have a long way to go.
Yes we are exhausted.
This is not a race.
We are not in competition with one another.
Our soul evolution is for us and will ultimately aid in in the collective consciousness.
Any progress and healing you make is added to the pool of collective love.
The more who adds to this pot, is bringing all of humanity enlightenment since we are
all connected.
Your efforts are not only serving you, but any and all soul progress that is made is
also helping your soul brothers and sisters who need your light, your guidance, and your
strength.
Soul evolution does not end at a particular point.
Why stop when we just get the momentum going?
Collectively, dont stop now.
Dont give up now.
And certainly dont set a certain bar of soul growth and lessons that you have decided
to turn a blind eye or stop learning at a certain level of growth.
You have no limitations.
As a sovereign being, you are encouraged to GO FOR IT!
Go full throttle knowing that you are here in service to Earth and Humanity.
What you learn and gain in experience, knowledge, and love will also aid the collective.
Remember as unity consciousness that we are ONE.
You think you are growing and soul suffering alone.
What you dont understand is that you ARE making a magnificent difference for so many.
Your soul light shines bright illuminating Gaia and into the Cosmos.
Dont ever lose sight of your divinity.
It is who you are and your birthright.
Lightworkers, this is not a message to discourage you.
Progress has been made in leaps and bounds in such a short amount of time!!
Blessings and gratitude to all who have gone through the trenches and out the other side
a new, transformed being of light!
This is to remind you to rest when soul guided to do so, but then get back up and continue
on.
There are no limitations and you were chosen as a volunteer for your undying courage and
strength.
You are more powerful than you give yourself credit for.
Im talking to every soul on Earth here.
You are here for a reason.
You feel this in your heart.
Limitations, restrictions, and illusions are not your truth.
Reach higher.
ALWAYS.
Love and Light to you.

Hand Lettered Calendar Page November 2017 - Duration: 6:05.
hey guys I'm shayda and in today's tutorial I'm gonna show you how to do a
hand lettered calendar page that you can use for your bullet journal or your wall
this is a November of 2017 page and we're doing a tea theme so as usual I'm
just starting with my piece of cold press watercolor paper I've got a little
bit of a smaller one this month and then I've done my grid of numbers using graph
paper to keep them straight and square of course I've transferred that grade
onto tracing paper and same with my illustration and my hand lettered month
it's all transferred onto tracing paper that's gonna help me transfer the full
design onto the watercolor paper and of course you can see here I'm just taping
everything in place in order to transfer it so once it's all centered I'm going
to grab my graphite transfer paper place it dark side down and then I'll just
take a nice sharp pencil and I'll start going over everything in order to
transfer it and you can see when I move it that's really effective for
transferring the entire design it does smudge a little I know sometimes depends
on how humid the climate is I'm near the ocean so I'm getting a lot of smudges
today but that's okay I'll erase them and I am speeding through this part and
it's because we do this every month so if you're sort of like whoa slow down
just go back and watch some of the earlier hand lettered calendar page
videos from 2017 once everything is transferred I will just go over my
transfer with my pigma micron I'm using the O 5 that's as I always say sort of
my Goldilocks nib so it's just not too big not too small and I am thickening
the down strokes on my November to give the look of faux calligraphy and I'm
just gonna fill in the T here at the middle of the illustration and then
before I go over it with pigma micron I'm going to add some color and today
I'm using my watercolor pencil crayons or watercolor pencils I also have my
favorite T and my favourite mug here and they're sort of serving as my model so I
can look at them as I'm adding the color this is the
jasmine tea that I can't live without I drink it every day and then this is my
favorite mug that I've had for I want to say at least 15 years I got it in
Chinatown when I first moved out on my own so it comes everywhere with me so
that's when I moved drawing and illustrating today and to illustrate the
mug you'll see here I'm just sort of mixing the light blue and dark blue
pencil and I'm not really doing a floral pattern I'm doing a bit of an abstracted
pattern where I just leave a little bit of white space to represent those
flowers and then for the tea tin I mixed a little yellow and orange and
watercolor pencil crayon is so fun it's like being a kid again you just get to
sort of color in like a coloring book and then you take a little bit of clean
water and a clean brush and you just add water to to the color and it immediately
on contact with that water turns into watercolor paint and you just want to
add lots of water and allow it to really look like the wonderful watercolor paint
that it turns into so it'll have this nice watery translucent look on the
paper and it turns out really beautiful and it's very very easy to use and easy
to control once you've added the water to your illustration you can put the
water and the paintbrush away and just allow that illustration to dry and while
we're waiting for it to dry we will illustrate our teapot and antique kettle
here all right so let's sketch out a few tea kettles and teapots although I do
recommend that you sketch from life so if you have a teapot I'd use it as a
model today but I'm doing for a kettle sort of this oblong shape with a rounded
bottom and then just a straight spout at the sides a very simple design and to
show that little handle at the top I'm doing a bit of a coil so very whimsical
for a teapot that's a little more bulbous they can be a little tricky to
draw I recommend drawing across there to kind of keep you centered and then just
have fun look at the shape of the one in front of you if you have one and and
just sort of play around with it using graph paper can be very helpful here as
well and I think it'll come together it's just
one of those designs that takes a little practice and you can always add some
cute floral illustration on the side and that really brings it to life
now that the illustration is truly dry and watercolor pencil crayons can not to
take too too long I can go back in with my pigma micron I'm using the O five
again and I'm just gonna add that sketchy black line that I love so much
to my illustrations so I'm just giving the T 10 especially all the detail that
it needs to make it look like the actual T 10 that I use every day so I'll write
jasminetea on there and then where there's sort of that ornate pattern I'm
just gonna do a couple X's so anytime you don't know how to illustrate
something you can always kind of come up with a shortcut so little X's or cross
hatching can represent a much more ornate pattern and yeah just adding that
line to the entire illustration and then to finish I've got this great white gel
pen that Lori gave me thanks Lori and I'm going to add a bit of dotting here
to my kettle and because I want it to look like an enamel petal and I think
you guys know the one when you see these everywhere and they're sort of a camping
kettle and they just have this old-timey charm that I love and that sort of
brings the illustration to life well thank you guys so much for watching
today please hit that like button and the subscribe button if you enjoyed the
video and this week there were two tutorials so go check out the first
Christmas video of the year it's all about how to clean these simple but
beautiful watercolor holiday cards I'll see you next week

Why the Markelle Fultz Injury is FAKE - Duration: 5:14.
If Markelle Fultz's injury didn't allow him to raise his arms above his head, then
why is he playing any NBA games?
I mean, I think it's pretty important to be able to play offense and defense.
What is he going to do?
What if I told you that the Markelle Fultz injury was fake.
What is up, dudes, duddettes, ballers, players, it's ya boi MJ.
Today I wanted to talk about two theories that prove why the Markelle Fultz injury is
FAKE.
If you like this video, like and subscribe for more fire content.
Let me know in the comments down below, is Markelle Fultz really injured?
Alright, let's get into it.
Markelle Fultz was a 41% 3 point shooter in college, but was also 65% from the free throw
line.
Yeah, 65% isn't gonna cut it so Fultz took it upon himself to change his shot.
But I don't think he knew what he was doing because he changed his form to this.
What the heck is that Fultz?
You're shooting from your chest.
On top of that, he changed his normal jumpshot too, which was already good, to this.
Even Brett Brown, the head coach was disappointed and said that Fultz has to rewind and get
back to shooting at a higher release point.
So preseason comes along and Fultz looks horrible.
Then 4 NBA games go by and Fultz has turned down open 3 point shots, shot 50% from the
free throw lines, and was horrible.
After that on October 24, Fultz's agent, Raymond Brothers made the statement that fluid
had been drained out of Markelle's right shoulder before the season and that "he
couldn't raise up his arms to shoot the basketball".
Then a few hours after that statement, his agent changed what he said and said that cortisone
was shot into his shoulder on October 5 which is really different from fluid being taken
out.
Fluid taken out is way more serious while players can play with cortisone shots.
After this statement, the 76ers just stated on October 25 that Fultz will miss the next
3 games.
What's even weirder is that the 76ers president, Bryan Colangelo, states that the medical staff
didn't find anything too concerning to stop Fultz from playing.
We all know the 76ers have had experience with dealing with injuries.
I mean they have had players sit out seasons to recover.
They are extremely cautious so why would they make a guy who can't lift his arms above
his head play.
I mean shooting is pretty important right unless the 76ers said screw it, shooting is
not part of the process.
Colangelo even suggested that Fultz changing his jumpshot might have caused the injury
and that Fultz didn't want to shoot outside the paint.
Maybe Fultz didn't realize this, but you do NOT SHOOT FROM YOUR CHEST.
Honestly, I feel bad for Markelle Fultz because his confidence is shattered and there is a
mental toll that comes with all of this.
I've said that Markelle Fultz is on his way to being a bust because of this drama,
but he's not a bust yet.
I'm not sure how serious this injury is.
There are two main conspiracy theories.
First, it seems like when Markelle's agent spoke to the public about the injury, the
76ers were in shock and had no idea about that, but because it was out in public, the
76ers had to try to back it up and cover up.
Could it be that Fultz is actually that bad at shooting and that his agent is trying to
cover it up?
That would explain why the 76ers didn't realize there was a problem because there
actually was no problem and instead it's just fabricated by Markelle's camp.
I really hope this is not the case because that would mean Markelle is that bad to shoot
this.
The second theory is that maybe after Fultz saw Simmons play and he realized that he would
have to be more of a shooting guard, he was like I don't want to be here and just self-declared
an injury.
This way the 76ers can try to find a trade for him that gets value back and so Fultz
can run the point on another team.
Now of course this theory is way more far-fetched but it's not the first time a player hasn't
wanted to be with a team.
Look at Bledsoe who tweeted "I don't want to be here" or look at Lonzo Ball who doesn't
want to "be here" for 29 teams.
One thing is for sure, these two theories make more sense than the back and forth story
changing about the Markelle Fultz injury.
Like how you gonna be playing if you can't lift your arms above your head.
How do you play offense or defense?
Fultz was great in college and he was a guy who could shoot from everywhere except shoot
free throws.
None of this makes any sense, but what do you think?
What's the real story behind Markelle Fultz and his injury?
Let me know in the comments down below.

Rose Namajunas was crying like a child before UFC 217; Conor Mcgregor goes insane on referee - Duration: 3:39.
Paulo Costa says he was shocked at Joanna Jedrzejczyk's
attitude toward Rose Namajunas.
He said Joanna put her hand on Rose's face at weigh-ins and that rose was frozen with
no reaction.
When both fighters went backstage Rose came crying, weeping.
He said "I thought this girl will not be able to fight.
She is emotionally destroyed."
She was crying copiously.
Then she sat down, everyone was silent, everyone wanted to comfort her.
It was a little awkward.
She's a young girl, this isn't right.
20 minutes later Joanna enters, teasing and putting her hand on her face and screaming.
Rose was just staring at the floor.
She didn't need all this.
I was about to get Joanna and put her in the corner of the room like a child.
It looked like a crying child being bullied by another child.
It was a very heavy situation.
Rose was all alone.
Everyone had a coach and she was alone.
I told my coach, "she is in no condition to fight tomorrow."
Then when she fought and she went and did that to Joanna I was very happy.
I was really cheering for her.
What do you guys think about the way Joanna carried herself throughout UFC 217?
I'd like to know.
GSP hates fighting but explains why he fights "I love fighting when I'm in the gym and
I train with a guy.
I love exchanging knowledge and I love training.
But, when I'm fighting, the pressure of it is crazy it's almost unbearable but,
if I pass that, if I go through this, it allows me to have the lifestyle that I love.
My freedom, my lifestyle to train like a samurai or train like a martial artist.
So, there's no perfect job.
I'm sure there's things about your job that you dislike.
But, there's more positive things in my job than negative.
So, that's why I'm doing it.
Australias Martin Nguyen just made history at One Championships by capturing the lightweight
title today.
He now holds the featherweight and lightweight belt in the organization at 28 years of age.
All his wins have been finishes and now he boasts a solid record of 10-1.
Bellator 187 is on tonight at 9pm eastern time.
Two fights to keep an eye on are 22 year old featherweight prospect AJ Mckee with an undefeated
record of 9-0 and the other is the late Kimbo Slice's son Baby Slice who's currently
1-1.
Angela Lee posted an update on instagram today after her major car accident.
She stated that she indeed fell asleep at the wheel.
She said she's fine and apologized to her opponent for not being able to fight on the
24th.
And finally, Brian Ortega is throwing his name into the mix as a possible replacement
fight with Max Holloway since his fight with Frankie edgar has been cancelled.
Sources say however, that Jose Aldo may be getting another crack at Max.
Conor mcgregor has found himself in the spotlight again outside of the cage.
He apparently rushed the cage at bellator 187 after his teammate Charlie ward knocked
out his opponent John Redmond.
After the KO, mcgregor scaled the fence to celebrate then got into an altercation with
referee Marc Goddard.
This marks the second time Goddard and mcgregor cross paths.
The first being when mcgregor was yelling instructions at Artem Lobov's corner during
UFC 118 in Poland.
Goddard in that event instructed mcgregor to leave as well.
Anderson silva is out of UFC shanghai vs Kevin Gastelum due to another failed drug test.
This marks the fourth big fight cancelled within a week.

Whispering Saxophone Animation: Random Animations - Duration: 3:20.
Hello Everybody It's Aaron and today we're doing a random animation!
So, What I did is I took a random noun, Saxophone, and paired it with a verb, and since "inventing
saxophone" didn't make any sense, I guess we're going to do whispering saxophone, that's
what I chose.
So here's the process on how I made the animation, and I have the animation at the end so cya there.
So here is the
actual animation.
That was it.
I'm not joking, here it is again.
That was all that time we spent animating and we got this.
So here's the final product.
Hope you enjoyed the video, this was very fun to make actually despite the very little
results we had.
Make sure you subscribe so you can see more of these videos in the future and go check
out some of my other animations I have done.

Well, he is tying his shoelaces.
Now, tying just means kind of putting in a knot.
Usually, you put a knot in the shoelace.
It could be a pair of business shoes if it has shoelaces.
So the action is to tie one's shoelaces.
So you would say he is tying his shoelaces or if it were a woman, she is tying her shoelaces.
So let's practice this phrase together now.
Please repeat after me.
He's tying his shoelaces.
He's tying his shoelaces.
