LOOM KNIT LEAVES | Whoville Leaf Pattern on a Round Loom Projects | Rib Stitch Flower | Loomahat - Duration: 10:43.
Hey guys as promised here is the little leaf that goes with the flower that I've
attached to so many things. I'm calling it the Whoville because it's a little
funky and I think you guys will have a great time learning how to knit this.
For a supply list and more information visit the website or the description below.
I want to thank Shanti and Carol from Promise Learning and Shanti Styled Me
for cover the cost of closed captioning
Let's begin. Alright we'll start with securing the
yarn to the anchor peg and then we're going to do a drawstring, I'm sorry we're
going to e-Wrap cast on 10 pegs. Well you know I use the drawstring cast on to
death so I say it at a habit. Now let's turn and we're going to U-wrap knit
one row in order to finish this cast-on. Try to keep your yarn a bit tight as you
do this cast-on. And let me explain a U-wrap. To do this you're going to half wrap
your peg and knit off and again we're going to half wrap and knit off and
we're going to do that for all 10 pegs. Row 1 is really easy, all you're gonna do
is knit the row just like you did with the cast-on. You're gonna half wrap the
peg and knit off and keep doing that all the way to the end of the row. Row 2 is
going to be a bit tricky so I need you to pay attention, alright. Not difficult
just tricky, but we're gonna start with two simple knit stitches so first knit
peg 1 and then peg 2 and then we're gonna do the little tips of the leaf. So
we're going to knit off using one of these stitch, locking stitch
markers is what it's called. But you can use a safety pin or a paper clip and then
we're going to wrap, e-Wap and knit off on that same peg. On this particular one
nine times, so once you've done that nine times on
the same peg you're going to then take that loop and move it to the next peg.
I need you to tighten that working yarn nice and knit off and then you're
going to go back to that first loop and you're going to remount it on that peg,
which is like peg number three. And, the reason I never pull out the stitch
marker is for situations like that one. Alright then you take your stitch
marker off and you don't need to do this but I do just makes it easier, is I
attach it to that tip of my leaf. And now we're going to go to the next one and
again like last time you're going to take another one of your locking stitch
markers or whatever you're using in its place and you're going to knit off that
first one. Then you're going to come back and in this particular case I'm
going to knit this peg eleven times because it's actually the very middle
top tip and I want it to be longer than the other ones. But it doesn't matter, you
can make this one nine just like you did before. Then again you're going to
tighten it and if it's easier you can remount that first loop first before you
knit off, that's okay. And then just make sure you tighten right here okay,
promise me that you're going to do this because it makes it look a
lot better. Then I'm going to attach my locking stitch marker. I'm going to
knit off and then I'm gonna do the third tip, so with my stitch marker again I
knit off that first loop and then I'm going to come back and do nine on this
one peg. Keep going until you get nine you can do less
if you want a smaller or more if you want your tips to be bigger. Again, I
put it on the next peg knit off and remount that first loo. I attach my
stitch marker to that tip and then I'm going to knit two pegs and that is the
end of this row. Now, Row 3 is similar but not alike to Row 2 we're going to
start off by knitting three pegs so one, two and here goes my third one. Now
peg number four we're going to e-Wrap seven times and get your stitch marker
knit off the first one and then you're going to knit that peg seven times over.
Now again, you can do more or less depending on what you want how you want
your your leaf to look. You're going to knit off and then remount that first
loop. Try to make sure that it's not twisted. Okay, that can happen sometimes.
I'm going to put my stitch marker back on my tip and go to my next one. Now
this is why I said that it's similar but not alike. We're only gonna do this two
times on this row. So, once you've done your second tip and you move that one
over and you go ahead and you're gonna knit off like before then please
remember to tighten that loop, remount your stitch or your loop and again I put
my stitch marker on my tip and now I'm going to knit the rest of the row which
in this case is three more pegs. Knit your three pegs and you're finished with
Row three. Now remove the yarn from the anchor peg and you could have done this
a few rows back but I feel more secure keeping it on.
Then just take your working yarn you're gonna lay it over the pegs pass
to and cut your excess yarn. Now we're going to do a drawstring cast-on
so just feed from the bottom your working yarn over the top, from the
bottom up and, you guys know I meant to say cast-off, sorry about that. Again feed
your working yarn through every one of your 10 pegs. Then you can go back to
the beginning and move, remove all the loops off the loom. So, I do want to
forewarn you at this point that the little leaf looks really awkward and
it's a little, I don't know, weird to try to shape it but let's walk this through
step-by-step. So, here's your cast-on string and you need to tighten it so
you're gonna go to the other end and you're gonna grab the first corner and
pull on it. You're just gonna keep pulling those loose loops. You can
see how it moves and it shows you where the next one is, as you pull it'll show
you where the next loose one is, the next one that you have to pull. They're
really long and it's kind of easy to see. But if you've not done this before, if
you haven't tightened a cast on, it can be a little strange to do. As long as
you don't worry about it it seems to go better. When you start getting concerned
that it's just really awkward to do then it gets worse, so just pull on these
really long loose loops until you get to the very end and then you'll see that
that last loop shows you where the other end is which is right here. If you left
the knot when you tied this to the anchor peg you can tell the cast on from
the cast off. Alright so now it's time to tighten the cast off and that one is
super easy you know pull on the corner loop and
then just pull the string and it will tighten. See that one's way easier to
straighten out then the cast-on. Then it's time to stretch the tips of the
leaf and start defining the shape, so just pull on it until you feel that it
looks well. Then it's time to sew the two ends. So I'm using a blunt metal
needle because I like it way better than the plastic one that comes with the set.
It's just easier to deal with, it doesn't bend it's just good and it's really
cheap. You guys should should think about it. Once you've sewn those two little
edges of your leaf you can go ahead and remove your stitch markers or whatever
you use your safety pins or paper clips whatever you used,
remove it so that you can continue to shape this leaf in whatever way you want
it to look. Then you're good. Now you have a cool, funky, little leaf and you
can attach it to whatever you want. In my particular case I'm attaching it to this
little flower and if you want this pattern there will be a link in the
description as is on the website post. Your Whoville
leaf is done. Don't forget to Like, Comment and if you haven't already done
so Subscribe, so you don't miss the next video. Bye....

JAPAN's LOVE SHRINE RITUALS|How Japanese and foreigners try to get love, money & fortune in Kamakura - Duration: 12:25.
Let's tie the knot.
The space is already packed!
Is there still some space to add to?
This is amazing right from the start.
They look so cute.
Lots of little and larger ones.
That's fascinating.
There are so many.
And so continues Part2 of Natchan's and Cathy Cat's tour of Kamakura
a popular city near Tokyo.
Did you already see the last episode?
I wasn't doing so good in that one...
Natchan and I had set out to hunt for lucky shrines and items
to boost our fortune.
Let's see if this episode of our Japan in Motion collaboration
will change our fortune for the better.
Hey it's Cathy Cat from Ask Japanese!
I am Natsuko Asou from Japan in Motion, aka Natchan.
- And so... - We are really stuffed!
Super full, and we are going round cool places in Kamakura but...
But there is one more thing we WANT right?!
In Japanese we call it "The other stomach".
Exactly! Even if you are full with food, you can still have some sweets.
Let's get some!
That must be the place!
Store name. Imoyoshi-kan
Imoyoshi-kan is famous for using sweet potatoes in their desserts.
but we actually came here because we had heard online
that they offer a dish called the Love Fortune Ice cream.
WOOOOOW
Have a look at that!
This looks so cute!
What makes this ice cream so popular are the heart shaped marshmallows on top
They look supercute and tasty so this dessert is a popular item
featured on Instagram feeds as well.
Ready go...
Now we had a big bite.
Do you feel like you will have more luck in love?
Maybe before the end of this shoot, I might encounter a handsome partner.
- Maybe someone will give me a smile. - What should I do then?
After we sweetened up our spirits with this treat,
it was time to REALLY boost our love fortune
so we could be super super lucky in loooove.
So we just had heart themed ice cream.
We have come to a famous shrine for Eien Musubi (Eternal connection)
- What did you just say? - Eien Musubi? (Eternal connection?)
- It's Enmusubi (Love Knot) - En Musubi!
Yes we want to be connected together forever...
It's still called ENMUSUBI (Love Knot).
Kuzuharaoka Shrine is famous for it. Let's tie our love knots right!
Let's raise our love potential!
Let's get those love vibes going.
Kuzuharaoka Shrine is located inside a beautiful forest.
This shrine is said to bring lovers together and helps in love and relationships.
There are two sacred stones.
ONAISHI, the lady stone.
And OTOKOISHI the Gent stone.
Visitors come here to tie red string with a lucky 5 Yen coin to it.
as those stones are said to bring you love.
There they are.
Already so many people have tied their ropes to it...
The right one is the Male stone and the left one the Female stone.
Women are supposed to tie their ribbon to the Gent stone.
We got our 5 yen coins ready.
Let's knot them up!
Let's do this.
The space is already stuffed with ribbons.
Its hard to find space here... I think there is some here.
Pull it tight.
I made that knot real tight.
So he won't be able to run away!
So Cathy this is your turn.
Let's do it.
Maybe around here?
- This is difficult. - Right? Harder than I thought.
It symbolizes how hard it is to actually tie a love knot in life.
It's a difficult thing.
There we go.
- Please help us out. - Please help.
This shrine also features special heart shaped wishing plates called EMA
... on which people write their wishes for love. We gave it a try.
Done.
- Finished writing our wish. - Yes we did.
Ta-da.
From me: CATHY To: MY DESTINY
"Let's be happy together, connected in love, and travel a lot together."
I love traveling, would be nice to find someone to travel with me.
So Natchan what did you write?
From me: ASO NATSUKO To: The prince I have yet to meet.
Have the person I like, like me back in return, and propose to me before 2020.
In 2020 I will turn 30 years old.
So I wish to marry before I turn 30.
That's a specific goal of mine.
So I wanted to specifically write that he needs to propose to me too.
Let's tie those to the wishing plate board.
I really really hope with this our wishes will come true.
I think we sorted out our wish for love here.
But there is one more thing we want right?
That one right!
This hand gesture is Japanese, other people might not understand it.
This symbol means money.
I moved house in Japan and that is a very expensive investment...
That's a really real fact right there. - It is.
In that case let's raise our money stats!
Natchans and Cathy's journey continues in a quick moment but...
Let's take a quick break to ask people in Tokyo about visiting shrines and temples.
When do you actually go to visit shrines and temples in Japan?
I personally only go on New Years day.
I buy myself a fortune slip, give a monetary offering and make a prayer.
I love taking pictures, so I go there to take pictures.
Do you upload them on Instagram?
That's what I do.
I go to shrines on New Years day.
What do you generally do?
I pray "I will try my best in the New Year, please make my wishes come true."
When I was in Highschool I would go to pray that I pass the university entrance exams.
Do you have a shrine you can recommend to everyone?
I always go to Mishima Taisha.
There is a large pond that you walk past
I think that place is very beautiful.
I traveled to Kamakura the other day.
We went to see Ofuna Kannon
You walk up super long stairs....
It's very beautiful so it was worth seeing.
What was the one... Dojoji
Where is it?
It's near Tokyo Tower.
Behind the temple, you can see the Tokyo Tower.
That sounds very picturesque.
It is.
Those were my questions, thank you.
Let's continue with ZENI ARAI BENZAITEN
Ugafuku Shrine.
If you have love AND money, life should be pretty perfect, right?
Fair point. Let's go.
This shrine is supposed to help you with your financial fortune and money issues.
and it is quite famous for that.
So what do you have to do here to raise your financial fortune?
The answer is money laundry.
Here you come and wash your money to raise your money fortune.
The money I have on me now? - Yes.
- Ok let's try it. - Let's try it.
People have literally been washing their money here for over 750 years.
It is literally money laundry.
People enter this cave in order to cleanse and purify their money.
The money you washed, you're not supposed to spend normally.
So you need to keep it? - That's it.
We generally don't cleanse money so...
It's super sparkly now.
Yes it looks nice now.
That feels good.
This 100 yen piece will now be like a talisman.
Ok let's take good care of it.
Feels good right?
Money come over.
Here you can wash not only money but also other things that relate to it.
like wallets, bills or even lottery tickets.
But make sure you don't spend your purified money on the next best thing.
This is our final place. The Sasuke Inari Shrine.
Doesn't this gate look wonderful?
Is Sasuke Inari connected to the famous Fushimi Inari in Kyoto?
Yes, it's a branch.
A shrine branch!
Let's goooo
I haven't been to the Kyoto Inari shrine yet.
I have actually.
So this is the first time I have seen so many red torii gates.
Isn't it fascinating?
A lot of foreign travelers like these for taking pictures
and posting them on Instagram and such.
It's a big trend now. - I have seen many of those.
You see them a lot but still they look fascinating, right?
Very photogenic.
They are beautiful. Some are new too.
This feels like a place of miracles.
Sasuke Inari is famous for the fox deity guarding this place.
There are hundreds of Japanese torii gates (combined)
and this place has a simply fascinating atmosphere about it
that will fascinate you just as much as it fascinated us.
Wow! This is amazing right from the start. - And super cute.
There are small and large foxes.
So many! That's amazing.
There are sooo many fox statues. Guess how many of them have been placed here
by visitors?
Those little ones, how many of those do you have here?
Have you already been up at the main part of the shrine?
There are about 6000 of them.
And then over there are 1500 up to 2000
Then on the sides more are lining up.
So maybe about 500 over there.
So around 10,000 in total.
So people who came to pray buy and leave them here?
The visitors pray that their wishes come true.
People who come here to say thanks for granted wishes leave them here.
They leave another prayer and the statues here.
It's to express their gratitude.
Can people take them home too?
10-20 percent take them home.
But people do that.
And they pray again. - Yes.
This place felt really special, and I felt really moved just being in this place.
It's hard to describe in words.
But it made me understand why Japanese people believe
that something sacred resides in this place.
I couldn't help but feel the same.
So many things happened in one day.
I have the feeling I might be alright from now on. Good things shall happen.
It was really cloudy at the start.
I was worried if our shoot will be alright
but exactly this kind of weather is really a good match for Kamakura.
It seems like it works well.
It has a really mysterious feel to it.
I feel that too.
Especially here at Sasuke Shrine I feel a lot of power from it.
It really is a good power spot for everyone.
When you come to Japan, be sure to visit Kamakura
and go to visit many shrines and temples.
Yes, good things shall happen to you and to us as well.
Yes please!
See you soon!

Suzy (수지) - Words I Want To Hear (듣고 싶은 말) | While You Were Sleeping OST PART 13 [UNOFFICIAL MV] - Duration: 3:26.
I still don't really know but when you look at me
I feel some kind of fluttering feeling, even now
You don't know how many things I want to tell you
How many things I want to hear
I love you, love love love in my heart
I want to walk on this path with you for a long, long time
And you, you, because of you
All of me is filled with you
My love
oh love is you oh love for you
always in my heart i`m falling in love
When I see you, I just get happy
Even your eyes, even your voice that calls me
I want to build a house with a blue roof
And live with you
I love you, love love love in my heart
I want to walk on this path with you for a long, long time
And you, you, because of you
All of me is filled with you
My love
There will be many hardships
But I will stay by your side
I will build a house that is you in my heart
And be with you forever
You're always spring
After summer and autumn passes
You're at the tip of winter
And you, you, because of you
All of me is filled with you
My love
oh love is you oh love for you
always in my heart i`m falling in love

【#007】日本のモーニングサービスってなに?~What is "Morning service" in Japan? ~※with English subtitles - Duration: 2:38.
Hi guys, it's Misaki!
Today I'm going to introduce an interesting Japanese culture called the "Morning service".
When you go to coffee shop and order a drink in the morning, you can get free breakfast. This is called "Morning service" in Japan.
Japanese coffee shops usually open at 6am or 7am.
In my hometown Gifu, this free breakfast service only goes until 11am and after that will be lunch time,
so if you want to try out the "morning service", remember to go before 11am.
Actually, some coffee shops serve "morning services" all the day.
Whenever you order a cup of drink, you can get a plate of light meal for free. If you want to visit these shops, please check it online or on Facebook.
The Japanese word "morning service" actually means "breakfast special" in English.
In English, "morning service" usually means the Sunday service at church. It has a completely different meaning in Japanese, so don't get it wrong!
Actually, "morning service" is originated from Aichi prefecture and Gifu prefecture (which is my hometown). This culture has spread over all over Japan.
When I went back to my hometown last week, I went to the coffee shop to have "morning breakfast" with my family.
I ordered a cup of caffe latte and I got pieces of bread, a small cup of minestrone, scrambled egg and slices of banana for my "morning service".
So this is the "morning service".
In Tokyo, there're a few "morning services", but they only serve you pieces of bread and boiled egg for free.
You can get a luxury "morning service" like a lunch plate, if you go to Aichi prefecture and Gifu prefecture.
So if you want to try out the "morning service", I highly recommend you to go to Kansai area.
There probably isn't any services like this in other countries,
so if you're thinking what to have for breakfast when you come to Japan, you should definitely try this out!
So I've talked about "morning service" in Japan today.
That's me for today! Thank you so much for watching and see you again soon!

Mueller Files 294 Sealed Indictments Against Elite Pedophile Ring Members - TODAY NEWS - Duration: 2:30.
Special counsel Robert Mueller has filed an astonishing 294 more sealed indictments to
Federal Courts around the U.S. against high-level pedophiles operating within Hollywood and
D.C.
According to a legal expert, 294 sealed indictments in such a short space of time is completely
unheard of.
Halturnerradioshow.com reports: Between the 294 Indictments now located across the country
PLUS the 81 in Washington, DC and in Eastern Virginia, that's almost 400 Sealed Indictments.
The lawyer told me this number is "off the charts . . . .no one has seen anything like
this."
This is not dis-info, it is fact.
Sealed indictments are verifiable public record.
We don't know whats in them yet, but you can see they are there and it's sure as
heck not normal, it's unprecedented.
There has never been this many at once . . . ever.
I'm just connecting the dots.
Pedophile cases in the news every single day for the last 3 weeks?
We've gone years without hearing about any pedophile stuff, but now in the last 3 weeks
it's case, after case, after case, after case of some pervert, from Hollywood to DC.
Uranium One with all the Bribery, Kickbacks, Extortion and Money Laundering.
The fake Trump "Dossier" where Clinton and the DNC laundered money through the Perkins
Coie Law Firm to hide the expenditures from campaign finance disclosure laws.
All of the locations given are the home bases of the previous administrations back to Bush.
Trump could be doing 9/11 and Pedogate, Uranium One, the Classified Hillary email scandal,
pay to play, rigging the Democratic Primary Election, illegally spying on his campaign.
… all of it known and unknown.
What if these indictments are the U.S. (Trump) version of the Saudi Arabia counter coup?
The crown prince just had many in his own royal family arrested for corruption.
What if these indictments are the same type of mass sweep of corrupt individuals?
I think that when these Sealed Indictments are made public, it will shake the corridors
of power in this country right to the very core.
I think the Halls of Power — "The Elite" — are being brought down.
Time will tell.
