And which ones are the oldest languages like everything else in the world have evolved over time and today

I'm looking at the five oldest languages in the world

For as long as I can remember

Given the fact that before written language there was no 100% accurate method in dating what languages were spoken

First in any case we did our best to make this video as accurate as possible

Starting this video off at number five is Greek now all prominent

Philosophers and scholars of the world used to think speak and write in Greek the language dates back to around

1500 BC and while modern Greek has evolved considerably

From ancient times it's still one of the most historic living languages

and there are over thirty four centuries worth of records in the written word and

The majority of English words come from Greek as well as Latin modern Greek is often said to have started in the Year

1453 ad

Today it's the official language of Greece and Cyprus

Now we got Sumerian at number four so many people think that the ancient Sumerian language is the most

Ancient language in the world it's not however Sumerian is the oldest language for which we have written

Samples it was used by the people of Sumer before the second millennium

BCE and it's not related to any other language existing right now

Sumerian continued to be used in written documents well after the spoken language was taken over by

Akkadian language and is one thing to know that the Sumerian language never extended much beyond southern Mesopotamia

moving on now to

Egyptian so the Egyptian language is known to be derived from the afro-asiatic

Languages and dates back to 3400 BC the ancient Egyptians writings are known as high

Glyphs and these symbols of hieroglyphics used to represent

Objects that existed in ancient Egypt according to some scholars the concept of writing words was first developed in

Mesopotamia and came to Egypt through trading now this next one is very debatable at number 2 we have the Tamil language

Now this is one of the oldest surviving

Languages in the world it belongs to the southern branch of the Dravidian languages native to the Indian subcontinent

The earliest use of the tamil language can be traced back to 300 BC but its origins is believed to be around

2500 BC

The Tamil language is older than

Sanskrit and Tamil words exist in many other languages so many scholars say that Tamil is the mother of all languages

today over 78 million people in the world speak Tamil so yeah in terms of now the

oldest language in the world well that goes to

Hebrew Hebrew dates back to the 10th century BCE and is an ancient Semitic language, which is a branch of the afro-asiatic?

language group and spoken by over

330 million people across Western Asia and North Africa now

There's a controversial study in 2016 that reported that the Israelites in Egypt took

22 ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and turned them into the Hebrew alphabet

Over 3800 years ago making it the oldest language in the world now

There are currently over 9 million Hebrew speakers in the world today

but somehow yo Moshe spirit had the knowledge of how to become a Super

Saiyan God he understood that you needed six righteous hearted saying he could

have acquired this knowledge after becoming a spirit but what is more

likely is that this formula for a Super Saiyan God was something that him and

his five comrades worked on in hopes of reshaping the Saiyan race it's likely

that your Moshe was interrupted before they could complete this ritual and this

is what drove your Moshe to become the very first Super Saiyan how

ever super saiyan alone was not enough your Moshi knew if he had the power of a

god if he had the power of a Super Saiyan God it would have been enough to

accomplish his goals and this is why his spirit began wandering in search of

finding the six sands that could finish his work that could finish what he

started and create the first Super Saiyan God now at the beginning of this

video I mentioned that there was a lot of misinformation out there about your

Moshi one of the biggest is that he is now introduced as the first Super Saiyan

God even the fan-made Dragon Ball wiki has enlisted as such and this is sad

because it completely undermines one of the main purposes of your Moshe spirit

wandering in the first place and that is to create the first Super Saiyan God now

I think this confusion was created in the way Akira Toriyama answered the

question of whether the legendary Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan God that

they were and then continued with the story of yo Moshe but he didn't he said

and I quote in a certain sense they are the same person this is because your

Advent 2017: Misericordia et misera - part 5, Fr. M. Legan & Fr. M. Olszewski (subtitles EN, IT, RU) - Duration: 9:07.

In our spiritual journey we have got to Piazza Navona,

because it's a place that is always crowded,

there are always thousands of tourists.

And this place might remind us about a very important phrase from Pope Francis' Misericordia et misera,

in which he says that it is very easy to be lonely in a crowd.

And that, although surrounded by people who are accusing, judging and criticising us,

we remain in complete silence, plunged in loneliness, sadness and despair.

And that such crowds are sometimes a huge trap for the soul.

That a man can easily get lost in a crowd.

On the one hand yes,

but on the other, look,

the woman caught in adultery was in a similar situation and in her life it all ended up differently.

There came a moment of confession, mentioned in the previous episode.

Jesus asks "No one has condemned you?" and she replies "No, Lord",

she confesses her sins.

But in order for it to take place,

for her to confess her sins,

to get back her inner joy,

happiness, peace, which Francis talks about,

two things were necessary:

the conscience of the sin and the humility that brought her to make her confession.

First of all, there had to be no one around,

it had to be that a woman met Jesus,

face to face.

Then she admits "I am a sinner"

and it's him who provokes in her a beautiful thought: "No one has condemned me".

And suddenly it turns out that loneliness can be holy,

if it is lived in a way that brings me closer to Christ.

I had an experience at Przystanek Jezus, at Woodstock (Polish music festival),

when I went there for the first time,

I met a girl who's life was deeply scarred, turned upside down.

When she was eleven,

her mum committed suicide and wrote in a note that she was doing it because she had bad children.

So, as you can imagine, that girl had a soul so wounded,

such a broken life history,

she went through addiction, work on the streets,

she really was like that woman from the Gospel that we've been talking about.

I spoke to her for two hours,

in the middle of a big field, in the scorching heat,

then I confessed her for another hour,

I had just enough time to give her absolution and,

because of the heat and dehydration, I simply passed out.

Just like a schoolgirl!

And when I woke up,

laying on the ground, on my back,

I saw that girl, who a moment before had receive an absolution,

the grace of being close to Christ,

immediately becoming Christ herself,

because she took off a scarf from her head, put it into water and started to wipe my face.

And I thought to myself...

- Lucky me!

Yes, in the first place,

because the holiness did manifest in her.

n that moment she was like Veronica, in other words, the real image of Christ.

As she had received mercy,

suddenly this poor, unhappy girl, with life full of misery,

could be like Christ.

And at that moment all the crowds at Woodstock, the thousands of people,

the noise of the concerts were not there.

There we were, only the two of us,

with Christ in our midst,

and it was a very deep, intimate experience of how God's mercy operates.

I found myself in a different situation that I would like to recall in this context,

but related a little bit more to the other woman, mentioned by us, the sinner...

The prostitute who pours perfume over Jesus' feet

And wipes them with her hair.

She was incredibly humble

and conscious of her sin.

But such humility, needed for the confession,

I saw it in a parish priest, quite elderly, my fellow brother Dehonian, in Stockport , near Manchester.

An old school English gentleman,

who lived amongst a 600 strong group of English Catholics in Stockport

nd I was preaching the Word of God there during Paschal Triduum and on Holy Thursday,

during the Mass of the Lord's Supper, we got to the moment of washing of the feet.

And suddenly a man approaches the priest,

helps him to take off the chasuble,

hands him a bowl and a towel

and the priest walks through the church and I am looking for those twelve men, with their washed and perfumed feet,

that the priest would sprinkle with water and wipe with the towel,

as by the ritual, enough to comply with tradition.

I couldn't see them though, and that elderly priest, probably in his eighties,

falls on his knees in front of the first parishioner,

removes his shoes, his socks and starts washing his feet.

Then still on his knees moves to another person.

And I thought to myself "God, let no one have the idea to bring me a bowl and a towel as I won't be able to do it!"

And surely, before I'd even thought it through,

a big Englishman was standing in front of me with a bowl and a towel

and said "Give me your chasuble and go to wash feet!"

And I answered "But I won't be able to manage".

"Why is that?" "I've just arrived!",

"So what?" "But I don't know you!"

"Yes, but today you are Christ, you must go and wash feet".

And he took the chasuble off me, gave me the bowl

and I walked through the church diagonally thinking that maybe the parish priest would finish and come back

but he did not.

On his knees,

that little old man was moving from one person to another and washing their feet.

The most difficult thing for me was to do it to the first person but

ever since I've been thinking of how much of this kind of resistance,

that I found in me on that occasion, is there inside us,

how much vanity, arrogance that make us unable to make that confession, to bend our knees.

And the key to that confession are the consciousness of sin and the humility.

Without those we won't be able to experience the embrace by God's mercy.

Pope Francis writes really beautifully that the same noisy crowd was there on Golgotha,

when Christ was dying in complete silence,

when He got to that moment of an intimate encounter with the Father.

And that the most characteristic thing about Jesus has been that at his death Jesus exclaimed "Forgive them!"

"Them who??"

"Well, us, you and me".

It was at us that He was looking from the cross,

when he was saying to the Father "Forgive them!"

It was then that Mercy got fulfilled.

You know,

I found myself in a similar situation to yours.

One day I took a small group of Polish people to Mother Teresa's cell, here in Rome,

to a tiny room she usually stayed in,

and one of the sisters asked me for confession.

Just like today, I was wearing sandals

and in that little room, that sister was confessing,

bent over, and she was crying a lot.

And her tears were falling from her face on my feet.

I felt those tears, drop by drop, bathing my feet.

And then I understood what it meant to be Christ,

sacramentally, who grants His mercy

and what impact must have had on Christ that woman,

who came to Him in the middle of the dinner

and said "I want to wash your feet with my tears".

Frosted Berries Holiday Cut Crease Tutorial - Duration: 17:17.

Betty welcome back to my channel so today's video is on this tutorial I did

a glittery silver and cool-toned cut crease with a very bold wing and

berry lips I really wanted to do like a really really pretty festive but kind of

out of the box a lot of us are saying like reds and golds and greens and I

kind of wanted something that was a little bit different so I did want to do

this frosted berries look I absolutely love it

I think the cut crease are not really really good actually and it's using

drugstore products except for the eyeliner but besides that everything

else is drugstore and affordable makeup I think it turned out gorgeous my cut

crease actually turned out really really even I'm really really surprised I did

use a new trick so if you are interested to see how I got this look then please

you to miss any so let's go ahead and get started on this silver cool-toned

cut crease tutorial okay so I'm going to go ahead and prep my I'm just using my

Physicians Formula concealer twins and already done my brows I use the

Physicians Formula Brown tweeze it's all in dark brown I'll leave everything

linked below all the products I used this is just my ELF ultimate blending

brush

that's my base I do prefer you don't concealer as an eye shadow base but use

whatever kind of eye shadow make sure you prefer I just find that this works

the best for me same concealer and powder okay I'm just getting that

blended in real good really evens out the eyelid I do have discoloration on

the lids and that just totally takes care of it okay and I'm just gonna be

using my covergirl advanced radiance pressed powder just to set that

concealer and itself looks really really nice with the bold brow so but you know

I definitely wanted kind of a Christmassy kind of holiday look I mean

I've done the shadow cut crease on this I have a tan eyeliner or anything but I

did want something a little bit more dramatic

I love dramatic eye looks and this is definitely none of those anyway super

super easy guys there's no cut in the crease with concealer nothing super easy

so I'm just gonna go ahead and be going in with my L'Oreal appellate nude 2 and

I'm going to be using this shade right here as my transition color and I'm

gonna be using my this is the mota crease brush did get this in my lower

beauty box I did an unboxing and Monday must-haves on Monday so go back and

watch that video if you haven't and a spoon anyway so I'm just gonna go ahead

and pick up some of this shade right here on the brush

it's really beautiful brush to tap off the excess and then I'm just gonna go

ahead and hold a spoon this is just gonna give the general

outline okay it's not gonna be our exact cut crease and I'm just gonna just

gently love this in

we put it in this is just the general outline we are gonna be able to doing a

little bit of free handing but you know this is just the general outline okay

I'm just gonna be going back in with that same palette and I'm gonna be just

gently dipping into a little bit of this just a tiny tiny bit nothing too much

just barely underneath and you know my brush I'm just gonna place the spoon

right there

the game guys it's just the general outline we have a general looks like a

straight line right now okay I'm just gonna gently buff over it and I

said we are gonna be doing a little bit of freehand guys once again it's super

super easy we're not using eyeliner we're not using anything like that this

dark cut is actually eyeshadow so it's easier to manipulate it's easier easier

to clean up and just going in with a straight you know liquid eyeliner or

anything like that it's easier to correct mistakes because guys I love the

look of a cut crease but guys I am NOT a makeup artist I am NOT anything like

that I do all of this the same way you guys do i watch youtube videos and you

know fine looks that I like I wanted something kind of frosty and really

really glittery okay so next one I'm gonna be going in with is I'm gonna be

going in with my hard candy in the shadows and this isn't shade five okay

and I'm just gonna be using a really really really really small brush I mean

this is like a tiny tiny little eyeliner brush I'm gonna be going in with the

second gray color we're gonna build up that crease okay once again we are using

shadow it's easier to manipulate easier to play with okay we're gonna kind of

use what we've already done as a base and guys cut creases they can be hard to

master I probably guarantee it's not gonna

match but guys once we get eyeliner and everything on you know it's fine okay so

it's just makeup hey I'm just gonna go ahead and just

gently start some of this dark gray and to starting

to cut the crease a little bit I personally don't like using concealer to

cut my crease just because it really really creases like you know you put on

the concealer and spread it out and everything and then it transfers really

bad on myself I don't have hooded eyes at all but I couldn't even imagine you

know doing that for if you did have hooded eyes so you're just gonna stop

momentarily you're just gonna kind of base where you're at okay once again

guys it's not gonna be exact and that's okay okay so now that I just got a basic

outline sketch I'm gonna go ahead and go in with this darker gray up here I'm

just gonna be doing the same thing okay I'm just gently going to just go over

that line that I've already done with the lighter gray

this is your chance to really really clean it up okay just you know stop

because this isn't something unless you were really really good at it or have a

lot of practice this isn't something that you're gonna be able to whip out in

you know just a few minutes okay you're gonna have to stop take a look gauge

where you're at

do that ok guys I'm just gonna go in with this is the elf defining I brush

and a nice slant and everything and I'm just gonna shit gently buff this a

little bit okay just get this blended

kind of see where we're at

sorry guys my cat just jumped up of course as you know

sometimes you can do if something's a little too harsh is grab that same

little powder brush that you use to set your eyeshadow primer and just gently

buff okay that's gonna help clean up those edges a little bit okay

so what I'm gonna do next is I'm gonna be using my Milani shadow eyes and this

is in lovely Frost so it's really really beautiful silver color

really really pretty and all I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna apply this from lid

up to the crease

and something what I like doing this too is you can get really really on bright

underneath that crease that we just created okay

this is what I use to cut my crease

I'm distilling going

get this spread out

what I like about this too is it doesn't crease okay it dries really really

quickly and it's just absolutely beautiful you can just gently use your

finger to just gently blend it be careful when you're getting up to that

crease area okay don't be don't be blending upwards kay we want that really

crisp line

once again guys if this is too much for you I totally get it

you know that's this is a very bold look okay but if you like the color combo you

don't do cut creation off use as much glitter next I'm gonna be using the

Maybelline eye studio and this is in blue blow out this little eye shadow

thing but this color up here is just pretty much loose silver glitter and I'm

just totally gonna Pat it while that pencil is still a little bit tacky just

for a little bit something to grab on to okay so what gives it that beautiful

frosty color guys it will get some fallout thanks so if you want go ahead

and use a little bit of you know eyelash glue or if you have glitter adhesive

definitely do that okay guys so we are almost done with the cut crease the

actual cut crease part of it but you guys can see this one is definitely more

defined so what I'm gonna go ahead and do is I'm gonna go back in with that

little tiny little tiny tiny tiny brush okay I'm gonna go ahead and dip back

into the law the the L'Oreal appellate new too and I'm using this darkest

purple shade that's gonna be my final shadow color that I'm going to be used

to get that really really sharp cut crease

off the excess guys and we're just gently going to

this cat

it's got any fun he'll like holiday parties coming up or anything like that

I'm gonna assume that my work would probably do something but I'm not sure

I hope they do

but I mean honestly even if my work does do something I would have this is too

much even for my work okay but I just wanted to play around do something a

little fun I can already tell it's not gonna be the same guys but you know what

oh we're not the same once we get it blended out and as you'll see those guys

we have it concealed like underneath the eyes and we could really clean up that

edge okay just gonna go in with that Unicorn motor brush and you're just

going to hit that line

and guys this is why you know I definitely recommend using the shadows

to do the cut actual cut creasing part because it's a little bit easier you can

just kind of buff away and then just rego over the spot

ready okay guys but that is the completed

actual cut crease part okay I'm gonna go hurt and put on some eyeliner and to

finish off my eye makeup and then I will be back to finish off the eye look and

yeah and we'll come back and see the completed look I'll be right back okay

so I have this slate of a pretty big wing on I did my face makeup I will link

everything I used it down below it is all drugstore and affordable so I'm just

gonna hurry up and finish off my eyes so I'm gonna go ahead and get into my

L'Oreal appellate nude number two again and I'm gonna be actually using my

finger okay wouldn't be going in with that first transition trait that we went

in with okay I just really want to really really smoked out and smudged out

okay I'm just gently going to place that

underneath the lash line you don't want it to super super like tight line or

anything I just want a little bit smokey a little bit of definition I personally

like to use my finger

okay so I'm gonna hurry up and put on some mascara

oh really quick I'm gonna go ahead and use that to the same Milani shadow eyes

and lovely frost on my waterline

okay so I am not gonna be wearing false

lashes I don't like them you can definitely throw on false lashes if you

want but I don't think this look particularly needs them ok because I'm

gonna be using a buttload of mascara but I love this eye look you know I think

honestly for not being super great at cut creases I think it looks really

really good I think it looks yeah I like it but

anyway you guys I'm gonna so I'm gonna hurry put on some mascara I'm gonna be

using the covergirl Star Wars The Force awakens the super sizer this stuff is

really really hard to get off but if you want a really really super false lash

look without false lashes this is one was scared to go with I'm gonna do my

lips and I'll be come come back and show you the finished look okay guys so I

just finished the look I do apologize I can't tell you what the lipstick is I

just did a video for Friday if you know what my friend videos are and you

already know it's where it's from but yeah this is the complete look I think

it turned out really really beautiful I love the eyes with the rich berry lips

it's absolutely stunning to me I do think this would be perfect for you know

holiday parties or even if you're doing like holiday cards soon I think this is

a gorgeous look it is a little over the top it's been a while since I've done a

really really dramatic look and I wanted to do a really really

pretty festive look I definitely think this you know frosty I cut crease with

the berry lip it's stunning I love this look I think it turned out really really

nice I definitely enjoyed doing the trick with the spoon to get the basic

Atlanta outline for a cut crease if you are not a cut crease expert like I am

NOT I am NOT super great with cut creases I do think that this definitely

does give a really really great outline they definitely turned out a lot more

even than they usually do and it turned out really really nice and definitely

try a cut crease with shadows instead of using like a liquid liner or like a

cream liner I definitely think you know using the shadows definitely does help

it's a little bit more easily controlled if you do mess up buff it away and redo

it's really really a lot simpler than a lot of other cut creases but guys this

is the finished look frosted berries is I think what I'm

going to call it I really really love it I think it turned out gorgeous

I did my best.

I tried as hard as I could for a year, but I am not cut out for self-employment.

I hope that one day I will be, that I'll come back to Youtube with the self-control

and time management skills and motivation necessary to make this a career.

But at this stage in my life, with the brain I have to work with right now, it's just

not happening.

My uploading schedule has been worse and more inconsistent than CGPGrey's despite the

fact that I've measured and each video only takes about forty hours of work.

Uploading three times per month should be easy, but apparently it is not for me, and

as a result I've mostly just been mooching off my parents for a year.

So, I'm gonna delete my patreon, put my videos aside and try to find a job.

After how my life's been going since high school I would very much like to pay my own

bills and feel like an adult for once.

Have I mentioned that I've never had an actual job before?

Not that youtube isn't a real job, but like, I don't think it counts if you never actually

show up for work.

Thinking that I could be self employed when I've never had a normal job was maybe a

bit overly optimistic in hindsight.

Also, whenever I hear about crappy minimum wage retail jobs from people who've had

them, the usual sentiments seem to be one: it sucks, and two: everyone should have to

have one at some point in their life.

So…

Imma go do my time I guess.

Assuming anyone will higher me.

I'm hoping after a while I'll have the motivation and discipline to either make youtube

work as a job or to finally get through college.

On a related note, I'm thinking I'm gonna make more videos on this channel in whatever

spare time I have.

I have a lot of ideas for videos that have nothing to do with linguistics, and since

I'm not gonna be doing youtube as a job I might as well make some of those just for

fun.

I also might change up my style a bit.

I dunno.

We'll see.

And one more thing, thank all of you so much for supporting this project.

I was and still am shocked by how quickly you met my goals on Patreon and I love that

so many people like my videos so much.

I'm sorry this didn't work out the way I thought it would and I hope you guys will

like whatever I manage to make going forward.

Advent 2017: Misericordia et misera - part 5, Fr. M. Legan & Fr. M. Olszewski (subtitles EN, IT, RU) - Duration: 9:07.

In our spiritual journey we have got to Piazza Navona,

because it's a place that is always crowded,

there are always thousands of tourists.

And this place might remind us about a very important phrase from Pope Francis' Misericordia et misera,

in which he says that it is very easy to be lonely in a crowd.

And that, although surrounded by people who are accusing, judging and criticising us,

we remain in complete silence, plunged in loneliness, sadness and despair.

And that such crowds are sometimes a huge trap for the soul.

That a man can easily get lost in a crowd.

On the one hand yes,

but on the other, look,

the woman caught in adultery was in a similar situation and in her life it all ended up differently.

There came a moment of confession, mentioned in the previous episode.

Jesus asks "No one has condemned you?" and she replies "No, Lord",

she confesses her sins.

But in order for it to take place,

for her to confess her sins,

to get back her inner joy,

happiness, peace, which Francis talks about,

two things were necessary:

the conscience of the sin and the humility that brought her to make her confession.

First of all, there had to be no one around,

it had to be that a woman met Jesus,

face to face.

Then she admits "I am a sinner"

and it's him who provokes in her a beautiful thought: "No one has condemned me".

And suddenly it turns out that loneliness can be holy,

if it is lived in a way that brings me closer to Christ.

I had an experience at Przystanek Jezus, at Woodstock (Polish music festival),

when I went there for the first time,

I met a girl who's life was deeply scarred, turned upside down.

When she was eleven,

her mum committed suicide and wrote in a note that she was doing it because she had bad children.

So, as you can imagine, that girl had a soul so wounded,

such a broken life history,

she went through addiction, work on the streets,

she really was like that woman from the Gospel that we've been talking about.

I spoke to her for two hours,

in the middle of a big field, in the scorching heat,

then I confessed her for another hour,

I had just enough time to give her absolution and,

because of the heat and dehydration, I simply passed out.

Just like a schoolgirl!

And when I woke up,

laying on the ground, on my back,

I saw that girl, who a moment before had receive an absolution,

the grace of being close to Christ,

immediately becoming Christ herself,

because she took off a scarf from her head, put it into water and started to wipe my face.

And I thought to myself...

- Lucky me!

Yes, in the first place,

because the holiness did manifest in her.

n that moment she was like Veronica, in other words, the real image of Christ.

As she had received mercy,

suddenly this poor, unhappy girl, with life full of misery,

could be like Christ.

And at that moment all the crowds at Woodstock, the thousands of people,

the noise of the concerts were not there.

There we were, only the two of us,

with Christ in our midst,

and it was a very deep, intimate experience of how God's mercy operates.

I found myself in a different situation that I would like to recall in this context,

but related a little bit more to the other woman, mentioned by us, the sinner...

The prostitute who pours perfume over Jesus' feet

And wipes them with her hair.

She was incredibly humble

and conscious of her sin.

But such humility, needed for the confession,

I saw it in a parish priest, quite elderly, my fellow brother Dehonian, in Stockport , near Manchester.

An old school English gentleman,

who lived amongst a 600 strong group of English Catholics in Stockport

nd I was preaching the Word of God there during Paschal Triduum and on Holy Thursday,

during the Mass of the Lord's Supper, we got to the moment of washing of the feet.

And suddenly a man approaches the priest,

helps him to take off the chasuble,

hands him a bowl and a towel

and the priest walks through the church and I am looking for those twelve men, with their washed and perfumed feet,

that the priest would sprinkle with water and wipe with the towel,

as by the ritual, enough to comply with tradition.

I couldn't see them though, and that elderly priest, probably in his eighties,

falls on his knees in front of the first parishioner,

removes his shoes, his socks and starts washing his feet.

Then still on his knees moves to another person.

And I thought to myself "God, let no one have the idea to bring me a bowl and a towel as I won't be able to do it!"

And surely, before I'd even thought it through,

a big Englishman was standing in front of me with a bowl and a towel

and said "Give me your chasuble and go to wash feet!"

And I answered "But I won't be able to manage".

"Why is that?" "I've just arrived!",

"So what?" "But I don't know you!"

"Yes, but today you are Christ, you must go and wash feet".

And he took the chasuble off me, gave me the bowl

and I walked through the church diagonally thinking that maybe the parish priest would finish and come back

but he did not.

On his knees,

that little old man was moving from one person to another and washing their feet.

The most difficult thing for me was to do it to the first person but

ever since I've been thinking of how much of this kind of resistance,

that I found in me on that occasion, is there inside us,

how much vanity, arrogance that make us unable to make that confession, to bend our knees.

And the key to that confession are the consciousness of sin and the humility.

Without those we won't be able to experience the embrace by God's mercy.

Pope Francis writes really beautifully that the same noisy crowd was there on Golgotha,

when Christ was dying in complete silence,

when He got to that moment of an intimate encounter with the Father.

And that the most characteristic thing about Jesus has been that at his death Jesus exclaimed "Forgive them!"

"Them who??"

"Well, us, you and me".

It was at us that He was looking from the cross,

when he was saying to the Father "Forgive them!"

It was then that Mercy got fulfilled.

You know,

I found myself in a similar situation to yours.

One day I took a small group of Polish people to Mother Teresa's cell, here in Rome,

to a tiny room she usually stayed in,

and one of the sisters asked me for confession.

Just like today, I was wearing sandals

and in that little room, that sister was confessing,

bent over, and she was crying a lot.

And her tears were falling from her face on my feet.

I felt those tears, drop by drop, bathing my feet.

And then I understood what it meant to be Christ,

sacramentally, who grants His mercy

and what impact must have had on Christ that woman,

who came to Him in the middle of the dinner

and said "I want to wash your feet with my tears".

Beautiful!

Outlander Season 3 Episode 13: Review "Eye of the Storm" - Duration: 9:33.

review for Outlander season 3 episode 13 Eye of the storm

Outlander season finales are always ones to hold on to something or someone for

support and this one was no different it opens with Claire underwater and her

monologue of I was dead of course we can pretty much guess that she doesn't die

but we have to wonder what happened to the rest of the crew and where is Jamie

but before we get too carried away we cut back to Claire in the carriage on

her way to Rose Hall to find young Ian she decides to start her search in the

slaves quarters and does some not so discreet or quiet whispering for Ian she

doesn't find him but she does come across the bodies of the two boys that

Ian met in his cell when he first arrived in Jamaica then Claire gets

caught by Geillis' manservant Hercules who brings her to Geillis and had they gotten

there a few minutes earlier they would have found

Geillis interrogating Ian again trying to get him to confess some incriminating

evidence about his auntie but they don't and his response is probably my favorite

definitely makes it into the top five scenes of this season if not the whole

series I think if I was Ian and I had been away from home for so long and I no

clue what this crazy woman wanted from me I would be tired of her blathering -

as Ian has nothing to tell Geillis she has him taken away just in time for

Claire to show up and tell her the story of how Jamie got arrested and at this

point they're both lying to one another I'm not sure that Claire ever fully

trusted Geillis and with good reason but now Geillis is convinced that Claire

is out to get her and stop her from fulfilling her destiny of returning

Scotland to its former glory and clearly just like I

have no idea what you're talking about jealous of course doesn't believe her

until she starts telling her everything about leaving after collage and having

bring this information saves Claire's life at the moment but it puts Bree in

danger since Geillis connects her prophecy of the

two hundred year old baby that must be killed before Scott can sit on the

throne to breathe since she is in fact a baby that was conceived 200 years in the

past she takes one of the pictures of Bree that Claire showed her and then

basically just leaves Claire alone in her house meanwhile we catch up with

Fergus and Marsali who have returned to the end looking for Jamie and Claire

and Mr. Willoughby but only find a note Claire left explaining that Jamie had

been arrested by captain Leonard Fergus tries to leave Marsali but she's

like no I'm your wife and I go where you go it was pretty sweet I actually really

liked that moment you know she does continue to grow on me so then we see

Jamie with Leonard on the docks but some soldiers show up and say that they're

taking Jamie into their custody under the authority of Lord John Grey I have

to rewatch the entire season but I think this is my second favorite scene John

lays it down for Leonard in the most perfect way possible he doesn't just

throw his weight around for a friend he actually puts this kid in his place by

pointing out his missteps of not having a warrant not having an affidavit and

being outside of his jurisdiction Jamie just sits back and watches all of this

it is a little bit in all of John I mean he really goes to bat for his friend

they have a cute exchange of debts paid and owed over the years and then say

their goodbyes that goodbye felt final but I really need more John Grey ASAP

and Jamie catches up with Claire at Rose Hall we find out that Fergus is the one

that told John that Jamie had been arrested so way to go Fergus Jamie and

Claire take off after young in and come up on to a ritual in the

woods that they parallel to the one Claire witnessed in season one at Craig

Na Dun but this time they get caught watching however Mr Willoughby makes an

appearance and vouches for them he is there with Margaret Campbell who the

people heard about her gift and invited them will be explains that he and

Margaret are in love and are gonna start a life together and Jamie and Claire are

really happy for them but the main issue is still trying to save in they go to

ask Margaret if she knows where mr. Abernathy is but Margaret who seems

happy for a minute goes into this vision of Jamie at Culloden when he sees the

rabbit and then Claire it back in Boston when she hears the bird at her window

touching them both she channels Bree and starts speaking to her parents and begs

them to come save her from a monster that's coming from abunduway Hearing

that name again Claire connects that it's the cave Father Fogdan and told her

about but before they can ask Margaret where it is Archibald shows up and tries

to take her back with him Jamie gets his hands on him and finds out that he's

working with galas to figure out who the two hundred year old baby is when Claire

hears that she starts looking through the pictures that she showed Geillis and

realizes that one is missing and puts it all together the Geillis thinks Bree is

that baby she and Jamie take off looking for Abundoway and one of the villagers

points them in the right direction as they make their way through the tunnel

that leads to the cave Claire realizes that she might get

pulled through the portal and if she does she might not be able to come back

but Jamie makes her promise to go through if anything happens to him to

protect Bree when they get to a cave Geillis is preparing her little offering

to go through the portal which includes burning Ian she tells Claire that she

owes her the life of her daughter since she gave up her baby to save

Claire but Jamie and Claire are not gonna let that happen

Jamie fights off Hercules as Claire pushes Geillis down Geillis gets back up

and tries to make the jump into the pool portal but Claire grabs a machete and

almost cuts her head clean off Jamie fries in and they all make it out

of the cave in her shop Claire recalls the skeleton that Joe showed her in his

office and realizes that it's Geillis' body but more shockingly that she's

the one that killed her before they close this chapter of the story

Jamie holds Claire and Ian in his arms and it could have all just ended right

there but I'm actually glad it didn't so Jamie and Claire are back on the boat

heading home and it all seems good for a while as he tells her all the things

he's been thinking about doing to her once he gets her on dry land and no one

else is around and it looks like neither of them could wait nor could the weather

because they end up in a hurricane Jamie is on deck trying to keep the ship

afloat all the people he wants to keep alive or below dead including Claire but

not for long because she goes out to tend to the wounded things take a turn

for the worse when the mast breaks and as everyone goes to take cover of course

Jamie and Claire are the last ones on deck as a huge wave comes and just

knocks Jamie over but takes Claire under water so we're back at the opening with

Claire's monologue and we see her floating to the bottom caught in the

masts but Jamie dives in and cuts her free and brings them up to the surface

the episode comes to a close with Jamie washed up on a beach and woken up by a

little girl with Claire's body not too far away he crawls over to her thinking

she's dead but then she coughs and reassures

that she will never leave him again they're introduced to Joseph Oliver and

his wife Patsy and their little girl who informed them that the boat washed up

five miles down the beach as they sit there embracing each other and looking

into each other's eyes they finally think to ask where they are and we find

out that they have arrived in Georgia

Wow what a roller coaster this episode and this season has been I like the season

finale and a lot of really great scenes and it leads perfectly into season four

I also really liked all the nods to season one like the ritual dance as well

as when Jamie's about to shave I thought she might have done it for him like she

did for Frank but she tells him not to shave and I like the differences that

they always put in there between her relationship with Jamie versus hers with

Frank well that's it for this season of course I'd love to hear from you guys
