- If they put shoulder pads and cleats on Usain Bolt

it would be Randy Moss.

- The big reason everybody's on Trubisky is cuz he was

drafted in the same class as Mahomes and Watson.

- I know you know football, you've been watchin' the Jets all season.

- I don't know if that's football.

- Yo, what up? It is Simms.

- And Lefkoe.

- Appreciate you.

- One thing that we really care about

is not just talking about the NFL

but talking about things that people seem to get wrong.

- Right. - We see it all the time.

- Setting the narrative straight. - Yeah.

- Yeah. - It really upsets you.

- It does drive me crazy. - Why does it upset you so much?

- Well, because a lot of the times

the narrative is false, I'm finding out.

It's lazy homework done— - Yes. - By people in the media

where they just make a take, and I don't know

if they have any useful information to back it up.

- I'm gonna set the grains. - Yeah.

- You go against them. - OK.

- Earlier in the year and still now— - Right.

- I see people doubtin' Mitchell Trubisky.

- Ohh. - Starts off, "Oh, Seattle game

Green Bay game."

There was a notion that Mitchell Trubisky

couldn't throw left— - Yes. - For a few weeks this year.

- Right. - That was a popular notion.

What's the truth? What's the "against the grain"?

- The big reason everybody's on Trubisky more than anything

is cuz he was drafted in the same class

as Mahomes and Watson, and everybody wants that.

- It's tough. - And that's not fair.

Mahomes got drafted to a team that was a playoff team.

Watson essentially got drafted to a team

that was playoff-caliber— - Had a lot of injuries.

- But had injures to their quarterback and to other players.

- Trubisky was a true top-three-pick team.

- A top-three-pick team.

He's got talent, and he's got talent around him

and that's why I can't draw a line in the sand

and just go, "He stinks." That's not fair.

- One team that does not have talent? - Right.

- The Buffalo Bills, Sean McDermott.

- Right. - Three wins thus far.

What's Sean McDermott doing?

You almost think he should be up

for the Coach of the Year candidacy.

- He should be in the conversation

for what Sean McDermott is doing.

- Against the grain. - Yeah.

I mean, first of all, this team is not good.

The other thing is, he's a defensive expert.

They're the No. 1 defense in football.

Do you know how hard it is to be the No. 1 defense

in football when you don't have

an offense or a quarterback that can do anything?

- When your quarterbacks have been Peterman and Derek Anderson—

- Exactly. - For a majority of the season?

- And a rookie, Josh Allen.

They have no receivers on the outside. - Yeah.

- He manages the game perfectly on a weekly basis, and I know

he won't win Coach of the Year. - Yes.

- But he deserves to be in the convo.

- Can I go against the grain? - Of course you can.

- Uh, I'm seein' a lot of people right now goin'

"Oh, Mahomes is good, but Brees is the MVP.

It's really, like

it's the one thing he doesn't have in his career.

He's really earned it at this point.

Mahomes is gonna have more time."

This is not a lifetime achievement award. - Yes, exactly.

Drew Brees is not playing better than Patrick Mahomes.

Drew Brees cannot complete half the passes

Drew Brees cannot complete half the passes

that Patrick Mahomes does.

If you watch the game against the Bengals— - Sure.

- Dump-off to Kamara— - Right, screens. - Dump-off to Ingram.

- Right. - I would argue that, probably around 40 percent

of Drew Brees' yards, are screens, dump-offs

and slants that get taken to the house.

- And Drew Brees is awesome. We're not being haters.

- He's great. - But what, to me

and I think you're on the right track here

is when you're in the MVP conversation— - You're a game-changer.

- You are the person that makes the team go.

- People are hangin' off you, and you're throwing touchdowns.

- Exactly. Mahomes makes the team go.

- Yes. - Todd Gurley makes the Rams go.

- Yes, yes. - I would argue on the Saints

the O-line and the running back tandem make the team go.

- So you would put Andrus Peat in the MVP conversation?

- Well, I mean, their offensive line and their run game

and then, of course, Michael Thomas, so I can't sit

there and go, "Drew Brees is the No. 1 reason

that's making this team successful."

- Yeah. - It's a combination of things

and, of course, he's still playing really good.

- Uh, you've been noticing

a trend of me lately. - Yes.

- And we're fixing it today. - Good.

- Yeah. - Let's do that.

Hey, what's up, slugger?

Ooh. Welcome to grown-up-hood.

my handshakes haven't been good lately.

to it for a beat. You know what I'm sayin'?

- Really? - Yeah, man.

So you good? How's the fam? - Oh, that's too much. - Oh, man, good to see you, man.

- And then I just let go. - Yeah, you just let go.

Cuz, like— - Thank you.

- If you don't know whether it's gonna be a snap, pop

or an extra hit—some guys like to blow it up afterward.

You can just hold it and be like

"Yo. What's up? You good?" - I like that.

I'm a snapper at the end because I went to Texas.

- Yeah, of course. - Bam.

- That's sauce all day, damn.

- I do wanna jump off

of something you said a few minutes ago.

- Oh, Randy Moss? - Yeah.

- I was gonna say, you experienced young Randy Moss.

- Right. - You experienced old Randy Moss.

- Right. - The first time

I met Randy Moss, I knew immediately that

if I got an "attaboy" pat on the back from him

I've arrived as a wide receiver.

But I went about it the wrong way

because I was tryin' to get his attention

like a thirsty dude at the end of the night.

Like, I was like, "All right, as soon as I hit him

with this icebreaker, we're gonna be

best friends forever, man." - [Laughing]

And I remember one day, I was getting ready for practice

and I think it was Jermaine Dupri.

He had a music video, and he's wearin' the Marshall 88 jersey.

So I'm like in my little dorm room at training camp.

I was like, "This is it, man."

And I remember, I was doing conditioning

and I'm standing next to him, and I'm literally

like, gassin' myself up like a dude

about to walk across the bar and ask a girl for their number.

I was like, "All right, man. Come on.

Don't blow it, don't blow it."

And I was like, "Hey, uh, Randy, um." Voice was crackin'.

- Yeah. - I don't know what was goin' on. I'm a grown man.

And I was like, "Did you see the Jermaine Dupri video?

He had your jersey on, man."

And he's runnin' next to me.

He looks at me

and he just keeps on runnin'.

I was crushed! - Ohhh! - I was like, "Ugh."

Listen, I wrote a girl a note, "Do you like me, yes or no?"

in the fifth grade, and she crumpled it up

and threw it at my face.

- Oh, man. - Randy Moss hurt me more.

Like, my feelings were crushed, and I was like

"Damn, I blew it."

And then what's crazy is, like, once I started makin' plays

like, that's when he came in and was like, "All right."

Like, "I know you love the game

and I know you're one of the good ones."

and I know you're one of the good ones."

- It's funny, I think, to hear him say that

because I don't think people always realize

that football players can also be fanboys.

First time Randy Moss came on the plane

I was Row 27 by the window, and he said, "Can I sit here?"

I was like [stuttering]

"Yeah, sure, sure.

You can sit here." - Yeah, yeah.

- And, I mean, that's the way I felt

but like Nate's sayin', too

the one thing I learned from him in a hurry

is his perspective on the game was, like, amazing.

He could almost see the game almost like a quarterback. - Yeah.

- He understood offense and defense, and, you know

he understood when this play was stupid

and he wasn't gonna tell the coach

"That's a stupid play, Simms," you know, whatever it was. - Yeah.

- I mean, and I just, I really enjoyed being around him.

- I mean, and I just, I really enjoyed being around him.

- Calvin is the forgotten guy. - Yeah.

- If I'm creating a player in "Madden"

he's 6'5" running a 4.3, and his name is Calvin Johnson.

- Yeah. - But he's never mentioned

in the "Jerry Rice, T.O., Randy Moss" top three.

But I would argue he is physically as gifted

as any of them, if not more.

- No question. I mean, it's the same individual

that broke Jerry Rice's single-season record. - Yeah.

And I watched him do it. - Right.

- I watched games where he would put up a buck 90

and we go to the meeting, and after a loss

Shawn Jefferson, who's a former player

wide receiver—he was our wide receivers coach

He'd say, "Calvin, I need you to do more." - [Laughing]

And, you know, I'm thinkin' like, "Damn, what you want?

The dude go for 250?" - Seriously. - Yeah.

- And Calvin wouldn't say anything.

He was quiet.

You know, his mother, a doctor. Dad, he worked on

the railroad, so he had this blend

of blue-collar and high IQ

and that was his approach to life

and he would just nod his head and say, "All right, Coach."

Next game, go put up 300.

Now, Randy was just pure speed encapsulated.

If they put shoulder pads and cleats on Usain Bolt

and he was actually a good football player that can catch

and track the ball like no other, it would be Randy Moss. - Yeah.

- And Randy Moss had the greatest late hands ever.

Even though coaches say, "Don't panic, remember your cues

don't give anything away," like, we panic.

Like, we don't remember our cues, and we give everything away.

Like, when the ball's in the air

you start hearing your own breath, and you go from—

[Panting]

And if you're a really good DB

I know it's a small detail

but you can hear a guy breathing hard

and then you see his eyes go from here to here— - Yes.

- And that right there is a cue that something's coming.

- Right. - Randy would, like, look

and the ball would be comin', and his face doesn't move

his hands doesn't move, his breath doesn't move

and then right when it gets to him, he's like—

Velcro.

Like, that's something that you might not see ever.

- No. - I don't think so.

- And that's not something you coach. It's something that God said

"Hey, Randy, I got a little extra for you."

- Right. You the man. - That was awesome.

- Nate Burleson's the man. - He is the man.

- Nate Burleson's the man. - He is the man.

- I think we're gonna have him back again.

I really do. - Good.

- You know who else is the man?

Every person on the Rams and Chiefs roster.

It is the game of the year. It is the fourth time

since, like, 1990 that two 9-1 teams

have faced off at this point of the season.

- Yep. - How good of a game will this be?

Will this be 40-40? Will it be disappointing?

What's the Simms prediction?

- Well, you know what? In games like this

more times than not, they don't live up to the billing

or the expectations of, like, a shootout, right?

- This year's been different, though.

Rams-Saints was really good.

- I know, I know. I guess I always—

- Chiefs-Patriots was really good.

- It was extremely good.

If you made me bet, I'm going to say

we're going to get a shootout. - Whoo!

- We're gonna get a 38-35 type of football game.

But what happens a lot of times in these matchups, too

defenses try different things too

cuz they go, "Man, we can't really stop this group.

We gotta do something different."

- Which sounds awesome. - Yes.

- Sounds like 70-yard touchdowns.

- But it can also make the offense

lose their rhythm too, just goin'

"Oh, they've never played this defense versus this coverage."

But either way, I expect a ton of big-time plays

because it's good play design— - Yeah.

- And there's talent on both sides of the ball.

- And I like that both defenses take risks— - Yeah.

- Which will allow things deep. - Exactly right.

- Our question, though, for this game— - Right.

- Rams, Chiefs: Better Big Three.

I think the hardest part about this is picking your Big Three.

- Ooh! - I look at the Chiefs.

Is your Big Three Mahomes, Kareem Hunt and Hill? - Right.

- Is it Mahomes, Kareem Hunt and Kelce? - Yes, right.

- Is it Mahomes, Kelce and Hill? - Right.

Who would be your Big Three for the Chiefs?

- Who are you picking? - Oh my gosh

that's really hard.

I don't even know which—I mean, gosh.

- All right, well, I'm gonna go Goff, Gurley and Cooks.

- Cooks is for sure. - That's set.

- For sure. I mean, yes.

- Who are your Big Three for the Chiefs?

I gave you, like, six seconds there.

- Yeah, OK. I mean, it's obviously Mahomes

and Tyreek Hill. - OK. - And I'm gonna go Kareem Hunt as the third.

- I would have gone Kelce. That's an awful decision. - And I'm sorry, Travis Kelce.

You're really awesome. I know. - Of those two Big Threes

who you goin' with?

- I am gonna go with the Chiefs in a close one.

- If I had to make the argument

for the Rams, cuz I agree with you.

I would take Mahomes over anybody.

- Yep. - Mahomes.

- Yes. - Gurley is, I believe

the best of all the six players out there.

- OK. I believe you there.

- I believe that Gurley is the No. 1 pick— - Yes.

- If we're not valuing quarterbacks more.

I think he's the most special. - OK.

- He's also the guy, other than Tyreek Hill, that

when he touches the ball, I go, "What's gonna happen right now?"

- Yeah, you do that with Mahomes too.

So don't forget that. - Yeah, you're right.

So don't forget that. - Yeah, you're right.

Hi, I'm Justin Forsett

and you're watching Simms and Lefkoe.

- Guys, I'm embarrassed.

Ever since "The Dragon" left me hanging

somebody hasn't picked a game right for one, two

three weeks in a row.

That's not acceptable for somebody

that likes Lefkoe Locks.

Frankly, we're locked out. Locked out.

Sean, call a locksmith!

We are in a historic place right here, AAA Locksmiths.

You've been here in Midtown for how long, Dave?

- 80-plus years. - 80-plus years.

We're talkin' changing locks for Mickey Mantle

lead singer of KISS, who else?

Joe Montana?

- Barbra Streisand, Harry Winston.

- I'm a man of locks.

I'm a man of Lefkoe Locks

and we have lost three "Thursday Night Football"

games in a row, Dave, and I know you know football.

You've been watchin' the Jets all season.

- I don't know if that's football.

- That's a good point.

But these two teams know football

Seattle, Green Bay in Seattle

Seahawks favored by 2.5.

I hear you got a gambling guy that you asked for a tip.

What did he say?

- He says you gotta go with the road dog here.

- Who's their quarterback, Dave? - Aaron Rodgers.

- Aaron Rodgers.

So, it's 2.5 points.

Are you confident in this? - I'm quite confident.

- Are you confident enough to make it a Lefkoe Lock?

- Yes. - It's been locked.

Dave lockin' it up, takin' the Packers on the road

plus the points, 2.5.

- Dave the Rave. - Aaron Rodgers and 2.5 points

sounds pretty good.

- Yeah, I mean, I don't know.

It's "Thursday Night Football," they're on the road in Seattle

and what scares me— I'm gonna go

I'm goin' Seahawks, OK? - OK.

- I'm goin' against Dave the Rave. Sorry. Negative, Ghost Rider.

But, yeah, I think the run game of the Seahawks

against a not-so-good run defense

of the Green Bay Packers— - At home. - That scares me a little bit.

- If you take away the season opener

cuz that's not teams playing on a short week

the home teams are 7-2, the average margin of victory

for the "Thursday Night Football" games is 18 points.

They're not even games.

Simms, I'm seeing these guys complain on Twitter

the winners, like the Steelers— - Yeah.

- Saying, "I'm still not right from the last game."

- Right. - These games stink.

- They stink. - How do we fix this?

What's the issue? - OK, well, the biggest issue

first of all, is the coaching, right?

It's a Thursday game, so there's not—

The coaches lose the chance to be creative

and add new things into their game plan.

You don't get a lotta practice time.

Coaches aren't comfortable—

- I've heard a lot of coaches say

"We're just gonna keep it simple."

- Exactly. That's what they're gonna do.

- So that's why it's not a great game.

- Well, yeah, exactly right.

- Were you sore? - I was sore, certainly.

I mean, I'm a wussy quarterback, and on Thursday mornings

I woke up still sore

after starting a football game on Sunday. - Wow.

- So imagine how Bobby Wagner feels or Rashaad Penny

or any other defensive player that's had to make a lot of big, you know—

- Hits. - Contact, car crash-type hits.

- Something needs to happen. - It does.

- Very much so.

- For Simms. - Peace out, homies.

- I don't know why I'm so serious right now.

The L-E-F-K-O-E. - Man.

- I think I'm gonna go with Dave. - Yeah.

I mean, Aaron Rodgers always scares me.

- Aaron Rodgers. - Scary.

- Enjoy the games, guys.

Now, I had a friend that said I should go, "Heh!"

beforehand so that you—

it's like a downbeat of when we're gonna do it.

- "Heh." You make the noise?

- Like a "Heh!" and then go in.

Don't laugh. - Who was this friend?

We need to self-evaluate your friend.

Don't listen to him.

- Veronie! Veronie! - Don't listen to him.

- All right, so I'm gonna listen to you.

- You're not playin' Double Dutch.

You're not, like— - That's what he said!

Jaden Smith Calls Tyler, The Creator His 'Boyfriend' - Duration: 3:06.

Are rappers Jaden Smith and Tyler, the Creator dating?

During his Sunday, November 11th, 2018, performance at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles,

Smith, who's famously the son of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, shared what may have been

a major announcement about the duo's love lives.

In a video captured by a fan on Twitter, he said,

"Tyler doesn't want to say, but Tyler is my motherf---ing boyfriend.

And he's been my motherf---ing boyfriend my whole f---ing life!"

For his part, Tyler, who organized the festival, appeared to laugh in surprise while shaking

his head and finger, as the crowd cheered wildly.

Before moving on to his next song, Smith reiterated that the relationship announcement was in

fact true, and wrapped up by saying,

"If you take anything away from this f---ing show, that's what you need to take away."

Tyler later took to Twitter to jokingly call Smith "crazy," after, according to USA Today,

Smith told his nearly 8 million followers in a since-deleted tweet,

"Yup @tylerthecreator I Told Everyone You Can't Deny It Now."

As of November 14th, 2018, Smith, Tyler, and their reps have not publicly confirmed the

rappers' alleged relationship.

Additionally, it has yet to be revealed whether Smith, who's known to make some pretty off-the-wall

claims, was actually being sincere and had Tyler's permission to make the announcement,

or was simply joking.

However, a number of social media users seem to suspect it's the latter.

One Twitter fan wrote:

"Hold up i thought it was a joke and now i'm confused," while another tweeted:

"I can't tell if this is a joke"

Meanwhile, another Twitter user wrote,

"If this is legit I'm stanning."

According to the Advocate, both Tyler, 27, and Smith, 20, have faced media speculation

over their respective sexual identities for years now.

However, neither has officially and publicly come out.

While Smith has been romantically linked with multiple other celebs like Kylie Jenner and

Amandla Stenberg, Tyler previously rapped about, quote, "kissing white boys since 2004"

on his song "I Ain't Got Time" in 2017.

Two years earlier, he also tweeted,

"I tried to come out the damn closet like four days ago and no one cared hahahhahaha."

Elsewhere in the Smith clan, Jaden's younger sister, Willow Smith, shocked fans and family

alike in May 2018 when she revealed a painful secret on the Facebook talk show, Red Table

Talk.

"I honestly feel like I lost my sanity at one point…

Okay…

Really?...

Yeah."

While discussing the period of time directly following the success of her 2010 song Whip

My Hair, she admitted that she had been in a dark place, thinking things like:

"Who am I?

Do I have a purpose?

Is there anything I can do besides this?"

Willow, who previously discussed the difficulties she faced growing up in the spotlight, went

on to reveal that she began to self-harm during that time.

"I never talk about it because it was such a short, weird point in my life."

Meanwhile, Tyler, has recently made headlines of his own, for mixed reasons.

As TMZ reported, the "Yonkers" rapper crashed into a parked car in Los Angeles after falling

asleep at the wheel on the morning of October 25th, 2018.

Thankfully, no one was hurt.

That same day, Tyler released his latest track, a cover of the holiday classic, "You're a

Mean One, Mr. Grinch," which is featured on the soundtrack of the recently released film

adaptation of Dr. Seuss' The Grinch.

Interview: ICDHH Executive Director Steven Snow Clarifies Vlog On Idaho Falls Mural Controversy - Duration: 17:20.

The Executive Director of

the Idaho Council for the Deaf

and Hard of Hearing (ICDHH),

Steven Snow, posted

a 13-minute vlog on Sunday

to discuss the Idaho Falls

mural controversy.

The Daily Moth did a report

about the mural a few weeks ago,

the link to it is below

in the transcript.

Snow's vlog is also

in the transcript.

In Snow's vlog, he said

that he had a meeting

with the Executive Director

of the Idaho ACLU,

who described the process

they took to pick the artist

and the artist's process.

Snow said the artist did her due

diligence in her research

on the ASL signs.

He said no deaf artists

applied for the project.

He said that the ACLU and

the artist were shocked and

disappointed with the reaction

from the deaf community,

which included harassment

and possible death threats.

Snow said this was unacceptable.

He said the artist and

other artists doesn't want work

with the deaf community again.

The reaction to Snow's vlog

was mixed.

Several people said

this was a good response,

but several others felt like

Snow was not defending or

representing the deaf community.

I reached out to Snow

to follow up on all this.

Hello, Steven.

Hello.

Can you share more details

about the death threats?

Do you know how many death

threats and who said them,

can you share the details?

Also, did you make it clear

with the ACLU and the artists

that the death threats does

not represent the majority

of the deaf community's

concerns, to not clump

the two together?

In my meeting with the ACLU,

when I talked about that

situation, in one part of it,

they told me that the artist

received several threats.

Those included harassment

and I used the word,

"possible death threats."

Why did I use the word,

"possible" in my vlog?

It was because

the ACLU person told me

the artist received harassment,

threats, and

very serious threats.

It was strange that he mentioned

two types of threats, and

the second one seemed

to have to do with death,

even though the person

did not explicitly mention,

"death threats."

But his choice of words

made it seem that way.

Now the questions of how often

the artist received threats

and how many there were,

whether it was from a local

person, or someone nationwide,

whether it was via phone call

or email, or in person,

I do not know.

But during our meeting,

I want to add,

that while the ACLU knew

there were threats,

the ACLU still wanted to

listen to the concerns and

they wanted to do it right.

I don't think the ACLU made

a link between the threats and

the deaf community to think

that the deaf community

typically makes threats.

No. I wanted to make sure that

the very few people did not make

entire community look bad.

The ACLU, I believe,

realizes and knows that

they are separate.

What is your response to some

in the deaf community that

felt you did not defend

their concerns?

One person, Ella Mae Lentz,

who is a Deaf vlogger

and activist,

said it seemed like

you were victim blaming,

that you blamed deaf artists

instead of defending them.

What is your response to that?

I want to thank you for

asking me that question.

To be honest,

I will admit this - I did not

expect this kind of response

to the vlog I posted.

I was taken aback.

Many well-respected people

made comments and vlogs

to share their concerns.

It really crushed my heart.

I want to thank those people

who made the comments.

I decided to go back and

look at my vlog again.

I've noticed and realized

there were a few things that

showed my poor choice of words,

I could have changed some of it.

For those who feel upset that

I might have looked down

on them and engaged

in "victim-blaming,"

I want to truly apologize.

It was not my intention.

My goal was to share

information, but it seems

like how I conveyed

it was not done right.

Again, it was

never my intention.

I want to explain that myself,

as a government agency,

I have certain duties and

responsibilities to abide by.

I am very involved in defending

the deaf community

in any legal issues,

policy issues,

violations of ADA laws,

violations of state levels,

I am a very ardent defender

to make sure access is there.

If opportunities are denied

because people didn't follow

policies or procedures,

I will be very active,

in any legal issues.

In this situation

with the mural,

it is not a legal issue.

I'm representing

the government's opinions.

If cultural appropriation,

suppose it is, had legal issues,

we can get involved.

I'm treading carefully.

The information I had

was really important,

often the deaf community

are left behind and

lack information.

I felt it was my responsibility

to share information so they can

understand and know what to do.

But it seems like how

I conveyed the information,

it could have been done better.

For that, I apologize.

Did you educate the Idaho

ACLU and the artists on the

issue of cultural appropriation

and why it is a sensitive topic

for the deaf community?

In my meeting with the ACLU,

as I sat down with them,

in that moment I thought of

the past and couldn't remember,

in Idaho, a single case

where the ACLU worked

with the deaf community

or a deaf person.

Yes there were many other cases,

but with a deaf person,

there were none.

Maybe I missed one

but I've seen nothing.

Maybe there was one

before I moved here,

but nothing in the 11 years

I worked here.

I wondered why that was.

Did they just not notice us?

During that time of reflection,

I decided to explain

our culture and what makes

the deaf community different

from other minority groups.

I emphasized sign language

and that it was unique.

I explained all this to them.

In that time I explained this,

I discussed cultural

appropriation and why

the deaf community was sensitive

about cultural appropriation

with regards to

sign language, based on

our history of oppression.

Cultural appropriation is

a sensitive topic,

some people disagree

whether a thing is

cultural appropriation or not,

but the point is why people felt

it was an important topic,

it is because of our history.

Maybe this situation is

a relatively minor situation,

but still the deaf community has

scars from our past oppressions

and how hearing people have

stolen their opportunities

to showcase their work,

showcase their language,

and more.

That's why the ACLU wondered

why it was a big deal.

I thought it was a great

teaching opportunity in

my meeting with the ACLU.

This is interesting,

in the situation with the mural,

although it was unfortunate,

I think one positive thing

that came out of this is

that the ACLU now realizes

the deaf community exists.

We are now on their map,

on their radar.

This could mean future

opportunities for partnership.

In the past,

the CDHH has never partnered

with the ACLU on issues.

There are other legal

organizations that

we have worked with,

but not the ACLU.

I think this is a great

opportunity to work together

on various issues.

I am excited.

But it is sad that it took

an unfortunate situation to

develop a potential partnership.

Do you feel like the artist

and the ACLU could have

done more to reach out to

the deaf community or reach out

to you and your organization

before they painted the mural?

Yes. I want to share one

thing that is interesting.

When the ACLU director

sat down with me,

his body language told me

he was truly disappointed

with the whole process.

His exact words to me were:

'If we could go back, we would

do it right the first time.'

I applauded this recognition

and desire to fix the problem,

to figure out a solution.

One thing I want to expand

on that I did not mention

in my previous vlog.

When we sat down and discussed

it we shared our concerns

and feelings on the issue.

He admitted that with ACLU's

many years of advocating

for disability groups and

different minority issues,

when the opportunity came

to support the deaf and

hard-of-hearing community,

they failed.

He admitted it was

an embarrassment for them.

So we started focusing

on solutions.

We talked about many things

in that meeting,

but one part was on solutions.

He suggested we get the artist

together with the deaf community

and figure out how

they can improve the artwork.

I agreed and told him

bringing in the community

is a great idea,

but I also suggested finding

a Deaf artist who can

collaborate with them to

create something together

or improve the mural together.

That would send

a powerful message.

The director liked that idea

and said he has to share it with

the committee first and will let

me know what the result

of that meeting is.

After some time passed

without any updates,

I reached out to the ACLU

and asked them for an update.

They shared that when

they were preparing to meet with

the artist and the committee to

suggest the collaboration idea,

the artist decided to cut

all communications with

the ACLU and the committee.

What exactly happened

with the artist,

I honestly don't know,

but that communication

channel was severed,

leaving the ACLU stumped.

They apologized and said

the artist has to decide to

move forward with the solution.

The ACLU wants to move forward,

and I recognize that.

Yes, they failed the first time.

I think this situation is

a learning moment for ACLU here.

When working on projects

in the future,

I believe the ACLU

has learned their lesson

and will do the right thing.

Any final thoughts or

comments you want to share?

Equal rights, accessibility,

opportunities, etc. related

to the Deaf community

have always been a challenge

all over the United States.

It's really an ongoing battle.

I want to say that

I'm thrilled to see the kind of

commitment and investment that

came from the Deaf community.

I must thank you all for your

comments and discussion and

expressed your concerns

and attention to this issue.

Idaho is a rural state

with only a few big cities.

Even though it happened here,

the Deaf community all over

the United States recognized it

and shared their concerns.

I was touched by this.

It showed how the Deaf community

cherishes and protects

each other and holds

others accountable.

Yes, there are

a lot of discussions and

a lot of different opinions

and disagreements among us,

but that is what makes

democracy strong.

I believe that those opinions

will lead to stronger solutions

and improve the quality of life

for the Deaf community.

I hope that we continue to push

these conversations forward

and lead with our hearts to

improve the quality of life

for Deaf people.

I want to emphasize the

importance of identifying

the key players at

the state level who represent

the Deaf community.

All of your concerns don't

have to be confined

to the community,

you can take it to

the state level.

That's where change

can happen.

Thank you Alex

for having me here.

Thank you, Snow, for your time.

Arsene Wenger piles pressure on PSG with January 1 declaration & final demand - Duration: 3:25.

Arsene Wenger has remained out of the limelight since leaving Arsenal in May.  The Frenchman left the Emirates Stadium after 22 years with the Gunners, but insisted that he would not be retiring and hoped to return to the game

Wenger has rejected overtures from China and Mirror Football revealed on Wednesday that he was sounded out by Fulham as they looked for a replacement for Slavisa Jokanovic

Instead, Claudio Ranieri has taken on the role at Craven Cottage.   As such, 69-year-old Wenger remains on the sidelines, despite links with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich

Last month, Wenger revealed that he is planning on being back in work by January 1, stating: "I don't know yet [where I'm headed]

I am rested, and I am ready to work again."  Paris Saint-Germain are determined that Wenger join them in the New Year, to oversee the entire football aspect of the club

Wenger has already met with Thomas Tuchel , the PSG head coach, with the duo discussing a move for Lyon's Tanguy Ndombele

Wenger has long been courted by chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, but refused to turn his back on Arsenal

Last week, Wenger was in Qatar to meet with Sheikh Al Thani, the power behind the club who personally selected Tuchel as Unai Emery's replacement - despite the suggestions of others

Paris United claim that PSG are increasingly desperate to bring Wenger into the fold, fearing not only him potentially joining another club, but also the possibility of him joining FIFA

However, Wenger has no interest in joining the club while Antero Henrique, the current sporting director, remains in position

Henrique has been under big pressure in recent months, with players unhappy with his role, Bayern president Uli Hoeness declaring "this man does not give a good image of the club" and his relationship with Tuchel having already broken down ; the German was not Henrique's first choice for the head coach position

The contract situation of Adrien Rabiot, the France midfielder, also hasn't helped Henrique's cause

Wenger does not want to move to the Parc des Princes and run into a potential conflict

Seemingly, his "January 1" declaration was a case of putting PSG chiefs on the clock to part with Henrique and create a position for Wenger

Unless they do so, and quickly, Les Parisiens risk the man they want to shape the club's future heading elsewhere

Arsenal discover how much it will cost to sign Real Betis left-back - report - Duration: 2:45.

Arsenal will have to spend big in order to complete the signing of Real Betis defender Junior Firpo, according to reports

Gunners head coach Unai Emery is expected to strengthen at left-back either in January or next summer as there's doubts over both Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac

The former is out of contract at the end of the season and could be allowed to move on for free, while the latter has struggled with injuries this season and hasn't looked convincing when played at left-back instead of left-wing back

Spanish publication AS have claimed that the north London outfit are interested in signing Firpo who has enjoyed an impressive start to the season with Betis

The 22-year-old has made 13 appearances across all competitions thus far, scoring twice - including one in a 4-3 win over Barcelona at the Camp Nou last weekend - and weighed in with the same number off assists

Interest in Firpo is said to be high as the report also claims that Manchester City are also in the race as Pep Guardiola looks to provide competition to France international Benjamin Mendy

Furthermore, the report states that City could have an advantage over the Gunners as the left-back's agent is the brother of Guardiola, Pere

Signing Firpo will be an expensive one as the Daily Mirror have revealed that the defender has an release clause of £43

5m after signing a new contract at the Estadio Benito Villamarin last summer.  The fee could prove to be a sticking point for the Gunners in January, but next summer might just be a different story when their Adidas sponsorship deal kicks in, giving head of recruitment Sven Mislintat as well as Emery with extra room to manoeuvre in the transfer market

John Lewis Christmas advert: Watch Elton John play piano in heartwarming video - Duration: 3:10.

John Lewis's hotly anticipated 2018 Christmas advert is the story of Sir Elton John being gifted a piano as a young boy

The story begins in present day and works backwards chronologically through Elton's life, right until the moment he received the special gift of his grandmother's piano that changed the course of his life

The slogan at at the end, summed up by the adverts' narrative, is "Some gifts are more than just a gift"

It comes as John Lewis is selling a range of pianos for the first time in 70 years, with the advert expected to drive a rush in parents and grandparents buying keyboards and pianos as Christmas presents

The range starts at around £150 for a basic keyboard, with upright wooden pianos for around £1,500 at the top of the range

The set from the advert is from today on display John Lewis's Oxford Street store where customers can explore Elton John's dressing room, recording studio and living room sets from the advert

Craig Inglis, Partner and customer director, John Lewis & Partners said: "Think back to all of the Christmases that you have enjoyed over the years - I'm sure there is one very special gift that stands out above all others

That's the magical feeling we wanted to bring to life this year.  "The ad tells the story of why Elton's piano was more than just a gift and we hope to remind customers of that special moment when they've given a gift at Christmas time that they know will be treasured forever

"  Elton John said: "The John Lewis Christmas campaign has so many warm memories for me and my family

"It's been a lovely opportunity for me to reflect on my life in music and the incredible journey I have been on, and how first playing my Grandmother's piano marks the moment when music came into my life

"The ad is absolutely fantastic and I've truly loved every minute of being a part of it
