Hi everyone!
I hope you are doing fine!
I'm approching my due date
at the end of this month, the month we celebrate love.
I'm expecting a baby boy.
Look at my belly
I'm 37 weeks pregnant
I'm ready for labour,
I feel tired sometimes and out of breath
I wanted to share with you the contents of my hospital bag. For all the future moms!
What to bring for mommy and baby at the hospital for the big day
It's recommended to prepare the bag at the seventh month of pregnancy
because you never know what could happen.
I made mine at the last minute, a month in advance.
I didn't bring a lot of stuff
It's the fourth kid, and labour.
I now more about the things that I will really need.
For other people, the list might be different
in what I'm going to show you.
The list is general
if you have any ideas or see anything missing, feel free to comment because it could help others.
Also it's good to inform yourself, where you are giving birth, to know if they provide certain stuff
that way you don't have to bring it and make your bag heavier or send the husband to get stuff multiple times.
It's time now to show you what's in my bag and the baby bag.
I will bring five warm pajamas for the little one.
I will show them to you
They look very comfortable and soft. I took advantage of the winter sales in the stores.
As you can see, little comfy pajamas, really soft with feet to keep the baby warm because it's winter.
The sizes are between zero to three months old
just in case the baby is big or small.
Nice comfortable pajamas with feet.
If your baby is born in the summer time get lighter pajamas.
For the onesies, You will need to bring 5,
I love this one with the lines.
I also have some short sleeve ones just in case it's too hot in the room.
Ooops! This one still has the tag on. I already washed most of the stuff with a gentle detergent.
I will do the rest after.
Before I put them in my bag
For the socks, look how cute they are!
I will bring 5 pairs.
Don't forget little mittens, because new borns have long nails and they can scratch their face accidently.
On this side I have three hats
A few baby blankets, 3-4
This is my nursing scarf
to convert up while breastfeeding the baby.
I remember using it for my last pregnancy.
It was really useful for me.
Depending on the weather you could need a jacket. I will need one since it's February.
I need to show it to you guys, it's so cute.
Look at the fur around the neck!
Look at the hat too, it's so cute!
For the face cloths, bibs, four or five is enough.
If you are breastfeeding, it's not that messy
in the beginning because the milk productivity is not that big, for me at least.
To clean the baby's bum, I will bring Pamper's wipes.
For his first bath I will bring Aveeno baby moisturizing lotion and bath soap,
because it's very gentle on baby skin unlike some other baby skin care on the market.
There's no harsh chemicals or parfumes.
I use it for my other kids and it works well with their skin
I choose Aveeno baby for the first hospital bath.
Also to fix the hair, a little brush.
I'm approaching my stuff,
but first let's finish with the baby stuff.
All the stuff for the baby will go in to this bag that I will show you soon
It's a nice bag, very practical with a changing pad
and a lots of storage.
You could put your wallet...everything will go inside
Everything will go inside.
For me, now, I will bring my breastfeeding cushion for comfort.
Last time I didn't bring it but a friend suggested it to me
and I think it's a good idea because it could be challenging to breastfeed a baby in the beginning and you need to be comfortable to do it.
I will bring some nursing pads,
not the entire box, because usually the milk doesn't leak a lot in the beginning.
It usually starts at home.
I will be breastfeeding my baby, that's why you don't see any formula or bottle.
I didn't bring any diapers either because my hospital will provide some for me.
I will bring three pajamas, I usually stay at the hospital for three days.
I suggest you bring pajamas that have an opening in the front because it's easier for feeding.
You need a robe along with the pajamas
I love the pajamas,
As you can see, the button in front will make it easier for breastfeeding
This one, I like it if you have visitors , it's pretty and presentable
I love this one because it's so so soft and comfortable.
For my outfit to come home, I will wear my maternity leggings,
it's very comfortable.
Also, don't forget that after the birth, the stomach will still look big.
No need to bring towels, the hospital will give you some.
Inside this plastic bag, I have the basic care products,
tooth paste, tooth brush, cream, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, comb and brush.
Some people bring makeup.
I don't suggest you bring a lot of makeup because personally I will hug and kiss my baby a lot. I don't want to put it all over him.
I will simply bring a bbcream and a lip gloss.
I will transfer some of the products into smaller containers.
I came across these travelling containers.
I find it practical to make my bag even lighter and carry fewer house items.
For underwear, I suggest you bring some panties that you don't mind getting red
because blood my ruin them. So don't use your favorite one.
Bring comfortable ones, 5-6 should be enough.
A few pairs of socks, 4-5, slippers
three nursing bras,
or comfortable bras that you have at home.
For my husband, I will bring some granola bars for snacks.
Labour can take long sometimes and the cafeteria might be closed.
Dear Husband I didn't forget you!
I will put all my stuff in the blue suitcase.
Before you leave the hospital you will need a car seat for the baby,
make sure you have one.
If you don't know how to use it, the hospital will help you.
My hospital uses a doll to show you how to attach the baby.
If you don't have it the first day at the hospital make sure you have it before you get the okay to go home.
Now the last words.
I can't complain about my pregnancy. In general, everything went fine.
I hope to say the same thing about the delivery.
I will get back to you a little bit after labour for more videos.
Pray for me and I will see you soon. Bye
