A Game That PULLED Me in the FIRST Time I Saw It! - Duration: 6:34.

Hey RAD COMPANY and welcome to another video.

Today I wish to discuss "What games pulled you in from the first time you saw them!"?

I know this isn't zombies, but I figure it is an excellent change of pace since many

of you are sick of zombies during the off season.

Since I make so many critical lens video discussing Call of Duty zombies, why not talk about some

newer games?

You might not have heard, but this beautiful looking game called "For Honor" released

yesterday.

It has captivated me since its first trailer at E3 2015.

The idea was so polarizing to see some of history's greatest warriors pitted in combat

against one another.

The brilliant graphics pulled me into the game, but the demo of the gameplay truly excited

me.

I adored the simplicity of the combat system, a modern rock, paper, scissors conflict, but

innovative enough to let skilled player dominate others if executed properly.

You could see complex combinations of blocks, disarms, and attacks to defeat enemies who

just button smash.

Now there are plenty of worries I have for the game like the quality of the story mode,

the longevity of the game, and the multiplayer servers, but, the game is finally here after

almost two years of anticipation!

This is almost on par with Bioshock Infinite's constant delays from 2009 to its release in

2013.

When I loaded up my first playthrough I was pleasantly shocked.

The system felt polished, clean, and intuitive to the player.

The basic tutorials showed me how to play, but I can see the advance mechanics be hinted

at with each new tutorial.

I found extreme hope in this game, of course until someone on the internet finds an exploit

and beats the ever-living crap out of everyone with one move.

It feels like a whole game for the first time in a long time.

I hope that micro transitions and DLCs don't destroy this game like many modern titles,

but that's most likely a fool's wish.

Infinity Ward's Infinite Warfare feel empty to me without its DLC and micro transitions.

All the customization is hidden behind hundreds of hours of gameplay or paywalls.

Some of For Honor's customization seems to be headed in that direction, but I want

to see how it develops before I pass harsh judgment.

Bioshock Infinite got DLC right to me even though Clash in the Clouds under preformed

due to issues inside the studio.

What I want to ask of you is what games pulled you in no matter what was promotions were

coming out, like For Honor did for me almost two years ago?

Which game did you committed to buying on release and what was the result?

I know it will be so interesting for all of us to see each other's experiences in the

comments below.

Compare games and opinions about what worked or didn't.

An example of a game I was excited for, but completely under preformed was the title Homefront.

I had a playthrough once on my channel of that abomination.

It was a classic marketing bait and switch.

It pretended to be one thingas, but the game was something completely different.

I was frustrated and returned the game after the 4-hour campaign and broken multiplayer.

Somehow despite time's erosion of promising titles For Honor's launch kept me hopeful

for Triple A release that could deliver on their grand promises.

For Honor excites me to see there is more than just first person shooters dominating

the market no matter the genre.

Even though this is a 3rd person fighting game it is a fresh way to play a genre that

hasn't been done to death yet.

Early criticism of the game pointed out that it would suffer from no story mode, like how

Overwatch had no campaign to build its characters.

Ubisoft developed an entire campaign in response since their showing at E3 2015.

Now I must state, I only have played the game for about two hours, the game could completely

fall apart for me in a couple weeks' time, but it delivered for me on day one.

I haven't felt that in years.

It has a campaign I can play through, it has a practice mode where I could have fun hacking

and slashing AI's, it has a multiplayer mode to compete against other ambitious players,

and my favorite feature is the ability to rank up against AI's online.

That calls back to the days of Battlefront 1 and 2.

There was something so charming about facing the hordes of AI while taking commands posts

in galactic conquest.

It became a strategy based game fighting against the computer allowing yourself to refine your

skills without worrying about your stats or other players.

Today's game seems to lose out on the simplicity of being able to play against AI at a competitive

level.

Games like Overwatch and the Black Ops series' combat training have created some of the most

fun I have had playing with my friends in all of gaming.

I love the magic a game can create when you can unite with your friends to fight against

something greater than yourselves.

I believe that's why games like Destiny do so well with their raid modes.

Destiny didn't work for me because MMO's don't interest me in anyway and not for

a lack of trying, may I add.

But I digress.

There is something so wonderful about those games that pull you in from their first trailer.

I figured it would be so much fun to reflect with all of you about games you experienced

that delivered that awe you hoped for on release.

I know The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Infamous 2, and Skyrim all delivered in ways

I never thought imaginable.

That is why we game, to feel these emotions of excitement and adventure!

There is something in For Honor that I see helping me make new memories with my friends

in gaming.

They have already contacted me and we are forming our teams.

Each player is taking on a role to fit the team similar to what we see in mobas.

I find it so refreshing to see such a change of pace in the games I am playing.

I know what to expect from games like Kingdom hearts 2.8 and Call of Duty, but this is the

rpg moba excitement I am looking for at this point in my life.

Horizon Zero dawn is what is next in my sights and I cross my figures that it will not be

another No man's sky.

In all cultures throughout history we can spot two basic reasons why people believe

in religion: the fear of hell and the desire for heaven.

According to most organized, dogmatic religions, god has ordered people to take appropriate

action in order to attain to heaven after they die, or else they will be condemned to

hell.

Earth is only seen as a place where sinners live in order to learn the lessons necessary

for allowing them to achieve a better place in the afterlife.

If, however, they fail to do so, they will fall into the worst imaginable place�hellfire.

Naturally, being afraid of the possibility that they will end up in hell, people desire

for heaven, and for this very reason they follow the �word of god,� claimed to be

found in religious dogmas.

Fear of Hell

The first and foremost reason why people believe in religion is fear.

Humans are the most fearful animal.

They fear many things�old age, disease, natural disasters, poverty � but most importantly,

death.

Indeed, humans are unique animals in that they can be aware of their own death.

Perhaps no animal can foresee its death, except man.

The very fact that man knows he will eventually die to this life causes tremendous amount

of fear in him�fear of the unknown.

Priests became aware of this very early and tried to exploit it.

How?

Firstly, by propounding the idea of hell in the afterlife.

By making people afraid of hell, priests were able to control people emotionally.

That�s the reason why priests continuously insist that we are born sinners: their purpose

is to instill a deep fear of hell into us.

Secondly, priests offered a solution to the problem of hell.

They created the idea of god�a judge who will either send you to heaven or condemn

you to hell, according to how you have lived your life.

They asked that if you did certain things you needn�t be afraid of hell.

In this way people were made to follow religious dogmas, afraid that if they don�t, they

might end up experiencing eternal suffering.

Desire for Heaven

Earth is the only place where you have to prove to god that you are worthy of going

to heaven.

And who does not want happiness and eternal life?

No one.

Once you are convinced that happiness cannot be found in this earthly, filled-with-sin

life, you desire for happiness in the afterlife.

And when you see death approaching nearer to you, moment to moment, naturally you become

thirsty for eternal, heavenly life�a life in which you can fulfill all the desires that

you left unfulfilled here.

Hence heaven is nothing but the projection of human greed.

The desire for heaven then is the second reason why people believe in religion.

The desire for heaven is what motivates people to think and act according to religious dogmas.

It is what makes the so-called religious people ready to sacrifice this life�to live in

pain and misery�in order to attain to a higher plane of existence in the afterlife,

where they will be rewarded for all the sacrifices they have made.

By sacrificing their life on Earth, they are trying to prove to god that they are worthy

of life in heaven

Proxima B Update 02/15/17 - Duration: 3:27.

The discovery of the exoplanet Proxima B last year was a landmark revelation for two reasons.

The first is its proximity, it orbits the closest star to our solar system, Proxima

Centauri, which itself has recently been determined to be a member of the greater Alpha Centauri

system.

The second reason is that the planet happens to be located within the zone of habitability

of its star opening up the possibility that it might be earth-like, at least in some ways

and that it may hold the potential for life to have evolved there.

But in a new study published by Vladimir Airapetian and his colleagues there is a model for how

red dwarves act when they're young and how that affects any planets within their zones

of habitability.

Unfortunately, the implications on Proxima B are not so good.

This study shows that immense solar flares may have removed all oxygen from the planet's

atmosphere early in its history, and in fact would affect any planets within the habitability

zone of any red dwarf star.

These are the most common stars in the galaxy, something on the order of 75 percent of all

stars and that holds significant ramifications for answering the Fermi Paradox, or the question

of if there are aliens out there, why don't we see them?

Well, if three quarters of all stars can't develop life within their zones of habitability,

that eliminates a lot of the potential for life in the universe in general.

The reasoning behind the study is that while red dwarfs are among the coolest stars in

temperature, they counter intuitively end up more active.

They can even fire off superflares early in their history, this is bad news for life.

So while they are a very stable kind of star when they age, and live enormously long lives

that would give evolution a chance to get a foothold, their violent past may preclude

life from arising in an earth-like way on any planets orbiting them.

Part of the problem is that red dwarfs are tiny and dim, and that means that their zones

of habitability are in a different location than a star such as our sun.

Planets must therefore be over ten times closer to their star in order to be within the zone.

This leaves them wide open to damage caused by solar flares and storms.

Planets that are located in inner solar systems tend to lose hydrogen because the X-Ray and

Ultraviolet radiation from stellar flares strips electrons from the atoms which escape

into space and drag the ionized atoms with them.

When you get much closer to a star, as is the case for habitability zones around red

dwarves, oxygen and nitrogen can then escape in the same way.

That would leave the planet devoid of two necessary elements for life as we know it

to evolve.

But there's even worse news.

When you bring hydrogen into that mix, it becomes a situation where the planet would

also slowly lose its liquid water as it evaporates and enters the atmosphere.

This would leave Proxima B a lifeless, arid world even though it's within a zone of habitability.

But in a way, this is good news.

The planet is close to us, so much so that it's within the realm of possibility that

if initiatives like Project Starshot see fruition, some of us may see close up images of proxima

B within our lifetimes.

We may well find a world that we can terraform if there's enough ice in the outer part of

the system and then some day call it another home for humanity.

U.N. chief says two-state Mideast solution is the only way

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned on Wednesday against abandoning the

idea of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying there was "no alternative".

"There is no alternative solution for the situation between the Palestinians and Israelis,

other than the solution of establishing two states, and we should do all that can be done

to maintain this," he said during a visit to Cairo.

The idea of a Palestinian state living side-by-side with Israel has underpinned Middle East peace

efforts for decades, though the last U.S.-brokered negotiations broke down in 2014.

But a senior White House official said on Tuesday peace did not necessarily have to

entail Palestinian statehood, and U.S. President Donald Trump would not try to "dictate" a

solution.

Trump, at a Washington news conference held after Guterres spoke, left the question open,

saying he would work to bring about peace between Israel and Palestinians, but it would

be up to the parties themselves ultimately to reach an agreement.

Before the two leaders met, Palestinians warned the White House not to abandon their goal

of an independent state.

For Palestinians, who seek a state in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem

and in the Gaza Strip, even the notion of a U.S. retreat from the internationally backed

goal of a future Palestine existing alongside Israel was alarming.

"If the Trump Administration rejects this policy, it would be destroying the chances

for peace and undermining American interests, standing and credibility abroad," said Hanan

Ashrawi, a senior member of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Speaking later in the day at Cairo University, Guterres stressed once again the need to pursue

a two-state solution.

"We should not forget the mother of all conflicts is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," he said

in a wide-ranging speech.

"It is important to stress that, in my opinion... there is no plan B other than the two-state

solution."

Guterres earlier this month condemned the Israeli parliament's move to legalize thousands

of settler homes in the occupied West Bank, saying it goes against international law and

will have legal consequences for Israel.

Under Israeli law, the move retroactively legalizes about 4,000 settler homes built

German minister says NATO allies to invest more 'in coming years'

German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday she could understand the

U.S. call for NATO partners to step up funding for the transatlantic alliance and European

allies would meet their obligations "in the coming years".

The United States for years has called for European allies to spend 2 percent of their

economic output on defense, and the new U.S. President Donald Trump has unnerved German

politicians by describing the NATO alliance as obsolete.

"We Europeans, we Germans, we have to do more for our own security, we have to invest more

there," Leyen told ARD public television.

She said it was "really not fair" that the United States was doing twice as much for

security than all European countries together.

"So in this respect, the Americans are right when they would like to hear from us how we

show convincingly how we can meet the 2-percent-goal in the NATO in the coming years," she said.

Trump's defense secretary has warned NATO allies that they must honor military spending

pledges to ensure Washington does not "moderate" support for the alliance.

On his debut trip to Brussels as Pentagon chief, Jim Mattis stopped short of issuing

an explicit ultimatum or say how the United States might moderate its support.

But he added that NATO allies must show progress in 2017 and adopt a plan, with target dates,

toward defense spending goals.

Palestinians tell Trump they are still committed to two-state solution

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday demanded a halt to Israeli settlement expansion

in occupied territory and said he was committed to a two-state solution to the conflict with

Israel after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested he could be open to alternatives.

Abbas's office issued a statement after Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

spoke at a news conference in Washington before a meeting.

At the news conference, Trump said to Netanyahu: "I'd like to see you pull back on settlements

for a little bit."

But Trump also dropped U.S. insistence on a two-state solution, a longstanding bedrock

of Middle East policy, upending a position embraced by successive administrations and

the international community and a U.S. commitment to the eventual creation of a Palestinian

state.

Abbas said he agreed with Trump's call for Israel to refrain from settlement building

in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

"The presidency demands that (Israel) agree to (Trump's call), and that of the international

community, to halt all settlement activities including in occupied East Jerusalem," the

statement said.

But the Palestinians stressed that they wanted the two-state option.

"The Palestinian presidency stressed its commitment to the two-state solution and to the international

law and international legitimacy in the way that secures ending the Israeli occupation

and establish the Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital."

Giving a convoluted response to a question on whether he backed a two-state solution,

Trump suggested that he could abide by whatever the two parties decided.

"I'm looking at two states and one state, and I like the one both parties like," he

said as he stood alongside Netanyahu.

"I can live with either one."

Abbas' statement added that the Palestinians affirmed their "readiness to deal positively

with the Trump administration to make peace".

Talks have been frozen since 2014.

The Palestinians seek to establish an independent state in the Israeli occupied West Bank, territory

captured in the 1967 Middle East war and the Gaza Strip, which is controlled by Islamist

Hamas, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Trump preparing executive orders to reshape EPA sources

Staff at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have been told that President Donald

Trump is preparing a handful of executive orders to reshape the agency, to be signed

once a new administrator is confirmed, two sources who attended the meeting told Reuters

on Wednesday.

A senior EPA official who had been briefed by members of the Trump administration mentioned

the executive orders at a meeting of staffers in the EPA's Office of General Counsel on

Tuesday, but did not provide details about what the orders would say, said the sources,

who asked not to be named.

"It was just a heads-up to expect some executive orders, that's it," one of the sources said.

The second source said attendees at the meeting were told Trump would sign between two and

five executive orders.

Trump administration officials did not respond to requests for comment.

Trump has promised to cut U.S. environmental rules - including those ushered in by former

President Barack Obama targeting carbon dioxide emissions - as a way to bolster the drilling

and coal mining industries, but has vowed to do so without compromising air and water

quality.

Trump has also expressed doubts about the science behind climate change and promised

during his campaign to pull the United States out of a global pact to combat it.

Since his election in November, he has softened that stance, saying he would keep an "open

mind" to the climate accord.

Trump's pick to run the EPA, Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, is scheduled to face

a Senate confirmation vote on Friday, according to a Senate aide, after a contentious hearing

last month in which lawmakers pressed Pruitt on his ties to the oil industry.

Pruitt sued the EPA more than a dozen times to block its regulations while he was the

top prosecutor for the oil and gas producing state.

Trump and Pruitt's positions have worried EPA staff, who are concerned the new administration

will cut the EPA's budget, critical programs and scientific research.

Some Republican lawmakers, emboldened by Trump's election, have raised pressure on the EPA

in recent days.

On Tuesday, Rep. Lamar Smith, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on

Science, Space and Technology, asked the EPA's inspector general to investigate whether EPA

staff were using encrypted messages to coordinate efforts to derail the new administration's

agenda, in possible violation of federal records laws.

Earlier this month, Rep. Matt Gaetz introduced a 45-word bill to "terminate" the EPA - a

piece of legislation that is not expected to pass.

Asked about two states, Netanyahu says he wants to focus on 'substance' not 'labels'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday said that he wanted to focus on

"substance" and not "labels," when asked about support for a two-state solution for peace

between Israelis and Palestinians.

"Rather than deal with labels, I want to deal with substance," Netanyahu said during a news

conference with President Donald Trump at the White House.

"There are two prerequisites for peace.

First the Palestinians must recognize the Jewish state ... Second, in any peace agreement,

WOULD HAVE TO PLAY THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BEFORE SCREENINGS AND

AS CITIZENS WOULD HAVE TO STAND UP AND RESPECT FOR THE DURATION.

THAT LED TO A LOT OF DRAMA BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T REALLY

CLARIFY WHAT THE EXCEPTIONS WOULD BE AND REMEMBER,

THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO EVERY RULE.

COURSE THAT GOES AGAINST THE SO-CALLED MESSAGING OF

TRUMP AND HIS ADMINISTRATION.

HE ALSO HAD TO PAY BACK TAXES AS A RESULT OF EMPLOYING THATJO

WOMAN.

THERE WAS ALSO THE ISSUE OF HIS EX-WIFE CLAIMING THAT SHE

HAD BEEN ABUSED BY HIM.

SHE LATER RECANTED THAT BUT SHE DID APPEAR ON OPRAH IN A

DISGUISE IN THE 1990S TO TALK ABOUT THIS ALLEGED ABUSE.

HIS CONFIRMATION HEARING WAS SET FOR THURSDAY HOWEVER, A

SENIOR GOP SOURCE TOLD CNN THAT THERE WERE FOUR FIRM

REPUBLICAN NO VOTES IN THE SENATE AND POSSIBLY UP TO 12.

ONE OF THOSE SENATORS

DIDN'T STRAIGHT OUT SAY THAT HE WOULDN'T VOTE FOR HIM BUT DID

CLAIM THAT.

IS DONATE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO CANADA, HE

Derek has got more Boyfriend Destroyer techniques than you can shake a stick at, but at the

core of each of this tactics is this basic structure:

Step #1: Get her to picture the "Perfect" guy

Step #2: Get her to compare the boyfriend to the "Perfect" guy

Step #3: Fractionate her

Now let's go through each of these steps in detail.

The first step is simply create a picture of the Perfect Guy in her mind.

To do this, ask her this question –

"Just imagine that you can be with anyone in this world… anyone at all.

Can you see him now in your mind?

Tell me…how would he look like?

Also, how would you feel when you are with him?"

It's also useful to get her to name this Perfect Guy – I'll let you know why later.

The second step is to make her compare her boyfriend to the Perfect Guy.

Here comes the insidious part this technique!

Now at every opportunity you can get, you want to make her compare her boyfriend to

the imagery of the Perfect Guy that you already induced her to create in her mind.

Let's say she has named the Perfect Guy, "Charles."

Imagine she complains about her boyfriend: "Bruno is so insensitive to my feelings.

He has stopped paying attention to how I feel ever since we hooked up!"

You can then say: "Hmm.

How would Charles treat you then?"

She might answer: "Charles would treat me sooooo much better!

He will listen to me and try to understand how I feel before mouthing off, quite unlike

Bruno!

And guess what, he'll also leave the toilet seat up!"
