Todays experiment: Huge trajectory arcs using Genji's Deflect!
Today we prepared an experiment utilizing Genji's Deflect.
First, we need Genjis on both teams.
A Genji constantly uses Deflect on this position.
The other Genji is positioned very far away.
In the case of Ana's grenades, he will Deflect from this position.
Now, Ana will throw some grenades.
They fly along in a nice big parabola arc.
The other Genji also Deflects in a similarly high angle.
This is the POV of the Genji.. Eyes warning!
The Genji player actually had his eyes closed while shooting.

Next up is Zarya.
Zarya uses her secondary fire to do the same thing.
Like a shooting star...
Next is Junkrat!
Junkrat's case has some.. quite concentrated bombs.
That's some amount of billiard balls.

Let's stop using Zarya's Barrier, and Deflect too.
Next is Torbjörn.
Torbjörn's primary fire draws an arc, but since it has a range so massive,
we moved Genji to conduct the experiment.
Next is Widow's Venom Mine.
The purple and orange do complement each other.

coincidence brings a message to you. In fact, there are no coincidences and accidents � there�s
only synchronicity, and everything happens for a reason.
Revealing Synchronicity � The Science Behind Coincidence
The truth is, everything in our life is linked. From the past, to the present and future � every
single coincidence or accident we stumble upon is linked. No matter how small or big
of a movement is, it is all about synchronicity.
Whether you feel like you are having a perfect day and everything goes smoothly, or experience
a bad period in which �a lot of coincidences happen,� the universe is sending you a message.
People and things happening in an exact moment is nothing but synchronicity and, fortunately,
there is a way to accept it.
Do you know the saying �When the student is ready, the master appears�?
That is exactly how synchronicity is explained. Whenever you are synchronized with something
you truly want, you are more likely to meet that thing, which is why similar people meet
�accidentally�. The thing is, they are tuned in to the exact same frequency, and
synchronicity does its best to match them.
Yes, There Is A Way To Create Synchronicity
Now that you understand how the spiritual sync works, it�s time to tell you that�
YOU CAN CREATE SYNCHRONICITY.
�How on Earth do I do that?�, you may be asking yourself.
Well, synchronicity works best for people who believe it to be true. So, for starters,
you should believe in it and stop saying that every event is an accident or a coincidence.
The thing is, if you are saying this, you are sending a weak spiritual signal to the
universe, as opposed to the strong signal that the universe sends you by syncing everything
around you.
By understanding synchronicity and seeing things not as an ordinary, but a committed
person, you are able to connect more deeply with your inner sync, and actually don�t
work hard to make the things you want happen. Instead, you will just believe in them and
let them happen, without any force whatsoever.
So, let�s face it�
Synchronicity is just like a mirror and whatever you commit to and believe in, will reflect
back to you.
That being said, if you agree with the law of syncing, you will be able to connect deeply
and send strong messages on a spiritual level. Aside from this, you will be a better person,
more confident and committed towards every action you bring.
In a nutshell, understanding synchronicity translates to establishing harmony in everything
that you seek � and being �consciously aware� of everything happening around you.
Turning The Tide � And See Chances Work For You instead Of Against You
If you have ever heard of the Murphy�s Law and believe in it, you are on a good way to
understanding synchronicity. Yes, it�s a common fact that when something goes wrong,
it may just continue going wrong over time.
The idea behind this is that synchronicity can also work against you. However, if you
expect bad things to happen and continue believing in the Murphy�s Law, you are syncing with
your inner negativity.
The Science Behind The Chance Meeting � Not A �Coincidence�
Bumped into someone somewhere? Thinking it�s a coincidence, luck or chance? The real answer
in this �accident� is the science of chance meeting.
Moreover, it is the reason for something to happen. There is always a reason and a connection
to see someone and experience something. Coincidence is only an illusion.
Our past, present and future are all linked. And although we may not understand everything
that happens to us, there is always a reason � and that reason becomes apparent at some
point in time.

Dodge Ram, Ram, 2500 2013.
This one's gonna get a six inch zone lift,
and then it's gonna get these 20 by 12 fuels
and 37x12 1/2 Federal Couragias.
And we already checked the load rating
and it passes, this things ready to rock and roll.
Let's go.

Like we said it's 2013, Ram 2500.
So it's got the six inch zoned out,
so it's gonna have the coils and the shocks
everything is replaced
through this thing way up in the air.
And then what he went with there
the fuel crank,
and that's a 20 by 12 negative 44 offset.
So you're gonna see that it's got
a good size lip on it.
About five inches I would call it.
So not an insane lip for a 12 inch wide,
but still competitive
you know six inches is usually what we're looking for
on those true deep lip wheels.
But a five inch is plenty.
And you can see for tires he went with the 37
and it's 12 1/2 or I think they're 13 1/2,
they've gotta be.
Everything's wet Fuller, can you see it?
There it is.
37x12 1/2. So he went with the 12 1/2s.
So you can see that it's pretty much
a straight up and down side wall.
Had he done the 13 1/2s it would have had more bubble.
I don't think he's worried about
protecting the wheel.
This doesn't strike me as much of an offroad truck
I think he's doing more towing and hauling.
So he's got the 37x12 1/2 Federal Couragias.
So with that six inch all they had to do for trimming
is they went in here and took the corner
of this fender flare off,
and took out some of this plastic here.
And then they just heated up,
and bent back the liner rather than cut it all off
he was able to heat it and just tuck it.
And then same exact thing up front.
He just went in, heated this up,
folded that liner forward
so that it will no longer contact the tire
but it's still there.
And then trimmed the bottom of that valance chase
at kinda the same angle
of the air dam.
So that's it for this one.
I mean it's a clean truck,
I can show the interior on it.
It's got a pretty decked out interior.
Pretty fancy shmancy. Fuller?
Fuller likes it a lot.
He wants to buy one just like that.

And then you can see he's got a low protonal cover
this thing actually sits really low
that's a truxedo.

it's got the stock tint.

You can see it does clear the 37s on 12 wides
with just a little bit of trim
and a little bit of tuck in that plastic.

Hi guys, it's Heli and this is Feminine Soliloquies.
Let's talk about cycling from the beginner's point of view.
What do I mean?
My physic condition is not the very best at the moment.
I did not have a bicycle.
Just happy to say that my health in general is good.
Not many cycling hours behind from the last ten years.
No clothes for cycling.
And then I just decide to make this
Maybe it's this so called "wild years" of approaching 50's...
or something like that
but anyways, I decided to get myself a bike.
Like with any other hobby, after getting your new bike you need so many other things.
Right after getting a bike I needed (naturally) a trainer.
This was because I wanted to get used to road bike's handlebars
and to a different riding position.
Another very important reason for getting a trainer
is that I wanted to get a better condition before spring is here.
At first I was going to buy a fitness bike.
but by the time I was doing my final decicion, the brand I first had chosen to be my
didn't have my size.
So I went to another brand shop and came out from there with a Trek Lexa SLX 2016
Actually this bike of mine is not the best possible size for me.
It is one size bigger than an ideal size would be.
I'm a short woman
so the best size would be 47
but my bike is 50.
Guys in the bike shop checked that the bike I got shouldn't be too big though.
And now, after getting your bike, the getting the rest begins.
Helmet. It is the most important thing.
Goggles are also needed.
Because the speed is dizzying
and I also thought that flying objects like flies or so don't feel so good in my eyes.
Gloves.

these are fake leather so that they wouldn't stretch or slide on the handlebars.

Also these are padded only where the padding is needed.
After a few rides with a trainer at home
I started to understand why cyclists love cycling shoes and cleats.
Note how smoothly I use the word ´cleats´.
My cycling shoes.
And cleats are these.
These attach shoes to the pedals.
Without cleats you just press down the pedal with your thigh muscle.
But with cleats in your shoes you are able to use your whole leg for rotating the pedals.
As you can see and hear that I don't know much about cycling yet
but I surely noticed a huge different after the first ride with these.
For cycling with a road bike you definitely need good cycling pants.
Road bike's saddle is so hard
that without decent pants your butt is really going to hurt after a few minutes ride.
Cycling pants have a thick padding to protect your strategic areas :)
The last thing to ponder is why on earth a middle aged woman wants to start riding a road bike??
There are many reasons and they are all good.
First one is health.
In addition to health and exercising comes becoming tighter and replacing fat with muscles.
I know, at this age of 49 this doesn't happen in one night
and it really is a longer process than at your 20's.
So this is closely related to my lifestyle change.
Which, unfortunately, didn't go so very well during autumn and winter.
Though I have to say I haven't gained too much weight back after my Hypoxi training.
Only one kilogram is back but who's counting just one kilogram? No one.
I'm being honest and I do admit that I don't have any excuses for my failure with my lifestyle change.
Only that I love chocolate.
I am so sure we women have some sort of chocolate genes...
But I will handle my chocolate habits and leave that behind.
We have more light during the day,
and I love riding my bike at home and I can hardly wait for better weathers so that I can go out riding.
I'm planning to start running again, will see if I manage to do that but...

On Writing Distinctive POVs - Duration: 2:47.
Hi community of awesome, I'm Ava Jae and this is bookishpixie.
So writing multi-POV (point of view) novels creates a host of challenges, but one of the
most common complaints about multi-POV novels that didn't work is that the POV characters sound the same.
This is a bit of a challenge when you're writing, not just a multi-POV novel, but any novel,
because you're one person, but when you're writing a book, you're writing from the perspective
of people who aren't you, and when you're writing a multi-POV novel, you're writing
from the perspectives of many people who aren't you.
And people who aren't each other, either.
So the key here to writing perspectives that sound different is getting to know each of your POV characters.
Start with considering how each of your POV characters see the world.
Voice is more than just word choice, it's also observation.
It's filtering the world through a character's perspective.
It's what they notice when they walk into a room, what they think as certain things
happen, etc.
Consider each of your characters backgrounds and how that affects the way they speak and
the way they see the world.
So let's look at an example that I can talk about from experience, my debut, BEYOND THE RED.
BEYOND THE RED is a dual-POV novel told from the perspectives of Kora and Eros.
So Kora is a queen raised in luxury, and Eros is a nomad living with humans who've been
perpetually running for their lives.
Their level of education, the way they view things, the observations they make, etc, are
all radically different because they come from drastically different backgrounds.
So if Kora and Eros walk into the same room, they're going to see it completely differently.
A room that to Eros might remind him of home and make him feel comfortable and relaxed,
might to Kora be completely unimpressive.
And vice versa, a room that to Kora might be normal and remind her of home and make
her feel comfortable, might to Eros seem gaudy, and overblown, and ostentatious.
Word choice, of course, is also important, but for me I tend to focus on that part in revisions.
I usually have a general sense of the way a character speaks when going into the first
draft so, when writing BEYOND THE RED for example, I knew from the beginning that Kora
had a higher level of education than Eros, and was raised in a more formal, stricter setting.
So the way that she speaks is more formal than the way Eros does.
When time comes for that, I like to make a list of words, or phrases, or stylistic things
that affect the way a character speaks, and then make sure that only one character is using them.
So, Eros for example starts a lot of sentences by dropping the subject, so he doesn't say
"I" sometimes, for example, so that was something I had to make sure that only he was doing
and Kora wasn't doing because that was stylistically his.
And he also uses a lot of slang that she doesn't use, and vice versa, she uses slang that he doesn't use.
So at the end of the day, when done correctly, when you put _all_ of that together, you will
end up with very distinct POV characters.
So that's what I've got for today!

Not only was the building not meant to support a fifth story, but his extra level was made
with a thick, extra heavy, heated floor.
Air conditioning units that were added to the roof quadrupled the load the structure
was designed to sustain.
To make matters worse, the building was constructed with substandard concrete and had only half
the 16 steel reinforcing bars it needed.
Also, the concrete columns were thinner than necessary and were reduced even more when
fire shields were installed around the escalators.
In April 1995, extensive cracks were spotted, yet nothing was done.
These fractures grew exponentially on the day of the disaster, but because management
didn't want to lose the day's revenue, they refused to evacuate the building.
Top executives, however, left as a precaution.
Seven minutes before the collapse, the building began to pop and crack, and employees sounded
the alarm, but it was too late to avert disaster, and a total of 1,500 people were trapped inside.

Hotel New World, Singapore
On March 15, 1986, all six stories of Hotel New World collapsed in less than 60 seconds.
The building housed a hotel, a bank and a nightclub, all of which disintegrated into
piles of rock and twisted metal, burying 50 people inside.
It was the worst disaster Singapore had experienced since World War II, and it shocked the nation.
Singapore's newly formed Civil Defense Force launched rescue and recovery efforts immediately,
and they continued for seven days.
Engineers and other experts from around the world were called in to assist the delicate
rescue operation.
At first, they merely removed beams and other remains from the top and sides of the ruins,
but not many bodies were recovered.
On the second day, assisted by foreign experts who were in Singapore to build a mass transit
system, rescuers began to tunnel into the rubble.
Sound-detection equipment was used to help locate the 17 lucky survivors.
After intensive research, investigators discovered a terrible error in the original design of
the building.
The structural engineer had completely left out the building's "dead load," in other
words, the weight of the building itself, during the design process.
As a result, it wasn't strong enough to hold itself up.
Tragically, Hotel New World was doomed from the beginning.

Three High-Rise Office Buildings, Rio, Brazil On January 26, 2012, a 20-story building in
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil spontaneously collapsed.
The gigantic high-rise crashed into another ten-story building as well as a third smaller
building, reducing all three structures to one huge pile of rubble.
The impact sent an enormous wave of dust through the streets of Cinelandia square, killing
at least 17 people.
If the disaster had occurred just a few hours earlier, it would have resulted in mass casualties.
Fortunately, the district, home to many office buildings and Brazil's prized Municipal
Theater, was pretty desolate due to the late hour of the collapse.
Authorities suggested that illegal construction work had weakened the 20-story building and
caused it to fragment, which triggered a chain reaction and brought down the two smaller
buildings.
This catastrophe has led Brazilian authorities to call for reforms for stricter building
and renovation regulations.

Skyline Plaza, Virginia, USA
On March 2, 1973, tragedy struck the Skyline Plaza complex in Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia.
One of the complex's towering apartment buildings collapsed, leaving a huge, eerie
cloud of dust and debris where it once stood.
Perhaps surprisingly, construction hadn't even completed at the time of the disaster.
The building was not due to open until August.
Although there was no flaw in the design per se, the forms supporting the concrete columns
on the 22nd floor were prematurely removed.
The cement hadn't yet hardened completely and couldn't bear the weight of the 24th
floor.
The failure of these columns put an increased amount of pressure on the rest of the columns
on the 23rd floor until the entire floor buckled and slammed down onto the floor below.
The building had not been engineered to withstand such a huge increased load, and the tremendous
weight proved catastrophic.
Each floor gradually succumbed and plummeted onto the story below in a devastating ripple
effect.
Fourteen construction workers died and 34 were injured.
Michael Hill, 31, ran all the way down the stairs from the 23rd floor when he saw cracks
appear in the ceiling.
He made it to the fourth floor when he was forced to jump out of a window.
He broke both his arms but hey, he survived!

Royal Plaza Hotel, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand On August 13, 1993, at around 10:00 am, the
once splendid six-story Royal Plaza Hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand came crashing
down in less than 10 seconds.
That's 1.6 seconds per floor!
Tragically, 137 people were killed and 227 more were injured in the collapse.
Rescuers dug through the rubble with jackhammers and crowbars, desperately searching for signs
of life.
According to rescue teams, trapped survivors had been using their cell phones to call for
help.
A pregnant woman was pulled from the mangled pile of steel and debris 2 days after the
collapse.
Unfortunately, at the time of the collapse, the hotel was being used for several meetings
and seminars, including a large teacher conference and a Thai oil company meeting with more than
a hundred attendees.
Police detained the owner of the Royal Plaza Hotel, the architect, and an engineer over
allegations that three stories had been added to the building in 1990 without proper architectural
review.
Also, a huge amount of water was being stored on the roof of the hotel ahead of an expected
water shortage.

Ronan Point, London, England In East London, on May 16, 1968, a single
match triggered the collapse of an entire corner of a massive 22-story building.
Ivy Hodge, a 56-year-old cake decorator living on the 18th floor, got up early to make herself
a cup of tea.
When Miss Hodge lit her stove, the spark from the match triggered a devastating gas explosion.
The blast tore through the joints connecting the walls to the floor and threw her to the
ground.
The load-bearing walls came apart, leaving the four apartments above her without any
kind of structural support.
The four floors came down, tearing through the floors below like falling dominoes until
an entire corner of the building lay in ruins.
The building was in fact new, its construction completed just five days prior to the collapse.
When Ronan Point came tumbling down, 260 people were in residence.
Surprisingly, only four were killed in the disaster, while 17 were injured.
Although the building was rebuilt and the joints strengthened, public confidence in
high-rise tower buildings took a huge knock.
Many high-rise blocks, including Ronan Point, were eventually pulled down to make room for
less intimidating low-rise housing.
Ivy Hodge was treated for burns, but ultimately she and her gas stove, which she took with
her to her new address, both survived.

Deepwater Horizon Explosion The single largest oil spill disaster in history
was ushered in on April 20, 2010.
The Deepwater Horizon semi-submersible Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit suffered an explosion,
causing a massive oil leak into the ocean.
The unit, also called a MODU, was owned and operated by Transocean, and was drilling for
BP in the Macondo Prospect oil field about 40 miles (60 km) southeast off the Louisiana
coast.
The explosion caused the deaths of 11 workers and serious injury of 17 others.
The Deepwater Horizon had frequent issues with maintenance that were never taken too
seriously.
Internal BP documents show that BP engineers had concerns as early as 2009 that the metal
casing that BP wanted to use might collapse under high pressure.
According to a number of rig workers, it was understood that workers could get fired for
raising safety concerns that might delay drilling.
Preliminary findings from BP's internal investigation indicated several serious warning signs in
the hours prior to the blowout.
Equipment readings indicated gas bubbling into the well, which could signal impending
trouble.
The heavy drilling mud in the pipes initially held down the gas.
A House Energy and Commerce Committee statement in June 2010 noted that in a number of cases
leading up to the explosion, BP appears to have chosen riskier procedures to save time
or money, sometimes against the advice of its staff or contractors.
If you ignore enough warnings, you'll eventually pay the price and that is exactly what happened
to BP.
Loss of life, loss of profit, loss of reputation and the single biggest environmental catastrophe
in recent history.
That's a pretty high price to pay for greed.

Highland Towers, Selangor, Malaysia
At 1:35 pm, on December 11, 1993, a landslide with the force of 200 jumbo jets slammed into
the foundations of Block One of the Highland Towers apartment complex.
The Highland Towers complex consisted of three 12-story residential buildings built at the
base of a steep hill just outside of Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur.
The retaining walls and drainage system had been poorly designed, and maintenance was
pretty much non-existent.
The situation grew more dangerous when another development company began construction on
a ridge just above Highland Towers.
The land was stripped and exposed to erosion, and some of the drainage pipes were blocked
with branches.
Ten days of non-stop rain put an enormous amount of pressure on the pipes.
At various points on the hill, the pipes burst, and the water content of the soil rose to
dangerous levels.
Eventually, a landslip took down a large retaining wall.
A colossal one hundred thousand square meters of mud slid into Block One, carrying it forward
and eventually snapping it.
Three people were pulled out alive on the first day, but 12 days of frantic searching
failed to unearth any more survivors.
In the aftermath, 48 bodies were recovered.
Block Two and Block Three were evacuated and stand empty to this day, like grim, overgrown
tombstones.

Twin Towers, New York City, USA Without a doubt, one of the most terrifying
building disasters in recent memory is the collapse World Trade Center, on September
11, 2001.
The Twin Towers were masterfully engineered using lightweight steel, a central core, and
an egg-crate design creating a redundant structure.
In other words, if one column or support were to fail, another would take its place.
What's more, each building was made to handle 5,000 tons of lateral wind-load.
The weight of the jets didn't come close to overcoming the strength of these perimeter
columns.
The real problem proved to be the 90,000 gallons of burning jet fuel that sent plumes of black
smoke trailing into the sky over New York City.
The fire itself didn't melt the steel columns holding up the building; it only weakened
them.
And, though reduced to 50 percent of their previous strength due to the temperature of
the inferno, the columns were still capable of holding up the building.
The real issue came down to the uneven temperature of the fire, which distorted the steel on
one side of skyscraper.
The stress proved too much, and eventually the floors buckled and began a domino collapse,
pancaking down one on top of the other.
Each tower weighed 500,000 tons.
And it took just ten seconds for these immense buildings to collapse, hitting the ground
at a staggering 124 mph.
Despite the fact that there were no specific engineering flaws involved in the design of
the Twin Towers, engineers continue to study the buildings to learn more about redundant
design and progressive collapse; and most importantly, with the aim of formulating life-saving
safety and evacuation procedures
in the future.

While running the testruns we always faced the problem that the flame was blown out
or didnt even got in the combustion chamber.
We discovered that the flame keeps better in the combustion chamber
when the chamber itself is hot.
So we heated it up before the testrun,
worked a little bit more sensitive on the gas valve and we got
a better result then.
Just check out the pressure display during the testrun.
Unfortunately on the last run the starter motor broke,
so we had to use the compressor this time again. However, doesn't look like it
changed much concerning the RPM.
As you have already seen, the engine still does not run self sustain.
What is also very strange: While its running,
you can hold your hand behind the enginge and you'll realize: there is some
warmth, but no thrust.
Its more like a warm breeze, it got a good temperature,
but its still just a breeze.
You simply do not notice anything like you can feel the thrust
from the propeller of an rc airplane.
There is obviously no excess pressure in the turbine (you clearly
saw that) but you need for a engine.
So this is really strange.
We also discovered, that while cooling down, the longer it runs,
there are some strange sounds like "clack".
There is probably something warped, because actually there is enough space,
even with thermal expansion there shouldn't be a contact.
So we have to investigate on that. However, this still does not explain
why we can not feel any air draft there, this still leaves us puzzling.

sharply divided along party lines on the issue.
Overall, 51% of Americans disapprove of Trump�s immigration executive order and temporary
refugee ban, and 45 percent approve, according to the poll.
This was followed by a second poll on Sunday, this time from CNN/ORC, which likewise found
that most Americans oppose the executive order Trump signed, putting travel restrictions
put in place.
These, however, followed a prior poll from Reuters which found the opposite, namely that
a plurality of Americans, or 49%, "strongly" or "somewhat" agreed with Trump's order, while
41% disagreed.
Similarly, a Rasmussen poll earlier in the week likewise found in its own survey that
a majority approved of Trump's order.

work of Chinese science fiction to be translated
into English, which is awesome. And this is
like hard sci-fi. Like really kind of
high-level theoretical physics is in it.
It's still super readable. I got through it
really easily and I know I have
obviously no background in theoretical
physics or any physics or any math really.
So that would've have been the thing
that I would struggled with. But in this
book, a group of physicists have been
mysteriously dying and another one
starts working with the police to try
and figure out what's happening. And the
other thing that they all have in common is
that they've been playing game online
called the three-body problem. So he goes
into the game and help solve
the mystery what's going on discovers
like huge societal conspiracy and
like stuff from the cultural revolution
is involved and there are maybe
spaceships. Who knows?
So this is actually the first in a trilogy. So if you
like this one, you can continue on with the rest.
OK another one I wanted to point out
is The Devourers by Indra Das.
I love this book so much. This is kind of a
werewolf story set in India in the 17th century I think.
And the main character is like a
shape-shifter-y werewolf monster kind of thing.
And he meets, and he meets a woman
who he falls in, what he thinks is love
with and sexually assaults her, she gets
pregnant. There's like this the whole thing.
It's super graphic and like gritty and dark and
violent. And, you know, trigger warnings for days.
But the way that Das tells this like this
you know this myth of like a werewolf that
every culture has some form of that
sort of shapeshifter mythology. But his
version of it is just so fascinating and
like just gory and bleh. But it bounces back
and forth between then and present day
with the child that's come out of that
union, maybe? Or maybe he's just lying?
And in like in a very interview with the
vampire way telling his story to another
person who like gets to believe him the
farther and farther he gets into the story. So
if you don't win or you're not

Speaking of Ken Liu who translated The Three-Body
Problem, we have his Grace of Kings, which
is, has won so man things, Nebula,
I'm pretty sure won some Hugo awards.
Quite chunky, great science fiction. And also a

This is by Yoon Ha Lee and this one I picked
not because it's a Book Riot favorite
but because it's an N. K. Jemisin favorite.
She recommended it in a New York Times
article, I think it was a New York Times
article that I read about science, like
recent must read science fiction. I think
it was like a 2016 year-end best scifi
of the year sort of the thing. And this is one of the books
that she names. So I actually haven't read this one yet.
I have it from the library so I'm about to
read it myself. But if N. K. Jemisin
loves it, who is herself an amazing writer
of fantasy then it's gotta be great.

Gradual by Christopher Priest who wrote
The Prestige, which is a really great movie.

Robert Gallucci, a former U.S. official who negotiated a landmark 1994 nuclear freeze

Hey.
Welcome back to another episode of "Financial Style with Tish."
How would you like to make five figures a month?
There are not very many people that make $10,000 a month, but it's possible for you to do if
you take your skills and you pull it all together and you start offering it to clients.
Taking your skills and becoming a consultant is one of the best ways that you can earn
extra income.
Now, you can start with this as a side hustle, like using your skills.
For example, if you're a graphic designer or if you're someone who enjoys planning events,
you can take those skills and you can turn that into a side hustle, but you've gotta
find clients first.
When you find those clients, you'll find that you'll be able to earn a couple thousand each
month, and if you continue to grow that, then you might even be able to leave your job and
work for yourself full-time.
That's what I was able to do, and I wanna share with you how you can do the same thing.
Step one: Get really clear on who.
Get really clear on who you'd like as a client.
If you are a graphic designer, for example, there are several different people that you
can bring into your world as a client, right?
You can design for large businesses.
You can design for small businesses.
You can design specifically for pizza shops.
So you can choose your niche and decide who you want as a client.
Step two is to get really clear on your why.
Why should that person hire you?
There are many graphic designers out there.
There are many event planners out there.
There are many salespeople out there.
There are so many people out there that do the exact same thing that you do.
So why should that person want to hire you?
One thing that I've done in the past and I think that might be helpful for you is writing
down a list of 100 reasons why you are amazing.
And at first, this exercise was really difficult for me because, you know, I got through maybe
20 really quickly.
So I wrote, "Okay, you know, I'm really good at listening to people.
I'm really good at reading and comprehending" and just all those things that come to the
surface at first that you know you're really good at.
But then, once I got to about number 25, 28, number 40, by number 50, it started to get
more and more difficult to figure out, you know, why should anyone want to work with
me?
What are the reasons that I am, you know, more suited to help this person?
I had to start digging deeper into the stuff that was under the surface, right?
So what makes me actually a great person to work with?
And then I was able to come up with my list of 100 things.
And I'll put a couple of them on the screen now, so you can see what are some of those
things that would make someone want to work with me over working with other people?
And the final thing to do in order to gain your first few clients is to get really clear
on the what.
So what is it that you offer?
What are you actually helping them with?
What sort of package have you pulled together?
I specialize in working with service-based entrepreneurs, and a lot of times, the issue
that I see over and over again is that there's really no presentation, there's no package
around, you know, what they're offering.
It's, "Okay, well, I do design" or "I can help you with a budget" and there's no package.
So it's important to actually package your services.
For example, when someone comes to work with me, I can specifically tell them, "This package
will give you a full sales funnel, and it will help you figure out how to gain new clients
in your business."
So figure out exactly what those packages are that you're offering, set a price point
for those packages, and determine what the actual change is that you're offering?
What's the transformation that you're offering for your clients?

most common complaints about multi-POV novels that didn't work is that the POV characters sound the same.
This is a bit of a challenge when you're writing, not just a multi-POV novel, but any novel,
because you're one person, but when you're writing a book, you're writing from the perspective
of people who aren't you, and when you're writing a multi-POV novel, you're writing
from the perspectives of many people who aren't you.
And people who aren't each other, either.
So the key here to writing perspectives that sound different is getting to know each of your POV characters.
Start with considering how each of your POV characters see the world.
Voice is more than just word choice, it's also observation.
It's filtering the world through a character's perspective.
It's what they notice when they walk into a room, what they think as certain things
happen, etc.
Consider each of your characters backgrounds and how that affects the way they speak and
the way they see the world.
So let's look at an example that I can talk about from experience, my debut, BEYOND THE RED.
BEYOND THE RED is a dual-POV novel told from the perspectives of Kora and Eros.
So Kora is a queen raised in luxury, and Eros is a nomad living with humans who've been
perpetually running for their lives.
Their level of education, the way they view things, the observations they make, etc, are
all radically different because they come from drastically different backgrounds.
So if Kora and Eros walk into the same room, they're going to see it completely differently.
A room that to Eros might remind him of home and make him feel comfortable and relaxed,
might to Kora be completely unimpressive.
And vice versa, a room that to Kora might be normal and remind her of home and make
her feel comfortable, might to Eros seem gaudy, and overblown, and ostentatious.
Word choice, of course, is also important, but for me I tend to focus on that part in revisions.
I usually have a general sense of the way a character speaks when going into the first
draft so, when writing BEYOND THE RED for example, I knew from the beginning that Kora
had a higher level of education than Eros, and was raised in a more formal, stricter setting.
So the way that she speaks is more formal than the way Eros does.
When time comes for that, I like to make a list of words, or phrases, or stylistic things
that affect the way a character speaks, and then make sure that only one character is using them.
So, Eros for example starts a lot of sentences by dropping the subject, so he doesn't say
"I" sometimes, for example, so that was something I had to make sure that only he was doing
and Kora wasn't doing because that was stylistically his.
And he also uses a lot of slang that she doesn't use, and vice versa, she uses slang that he doesn't use.
So at the end of the day, when done correctly, when you put _all_ of that together, you will
end up with very distinct POV characters.

Kris Aquino asked him to not imprison his brother former President Benigno Aquino III
during his speech at the annual kick-off ceremony of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and
Large Taxpayer Service 2017 tax collection campaign at the Philippine International Convention
Center (PICC) in Pasay City on February 6, 2017.
While discussing the Mamasapano Massacre, President Duterte revealed that Kris Aquno
texted him and asked him to not put his brother in prison.
"Si Kris nag text..wag mo namang ipakulong si Noy" Duterte said.
But he assured Kris that he didn't plan to imprison former President Aquino and he
only wanted to know the truth behind tha Mamasapano Massacre that killed 44 PNP-SAF members.

He again questioned why there's no air support came to rescue the SAF44 who fought for almost
a day against the Moro Rebels.
"Bakit di kayo gumamit ng air assets.. to save the pin down soldiers" Duterte said.
President Duterte also explained that he doesn't want to know the people responsible in the
Massacre.
"Yan lang ang tanong ko… hindi ako nagtatanong kung sino ang mali.. sino ang nakatangap ng

Aquino quickly received criticisms from the Netizens for allegedly using her influence
to save her brother from the alleged involvement in the Mamasapano Massacre.
President Duterte postponed the creation of Truth Commission
The President also revealed that he cannot start the truth commission that would investigate
the Mamasapano Massacre because the Ombudsman informed him that the other report of the
past fact finding commission is still pending to them.
"I am not going ahead with the creation of the (truth) commission… because apparently
the Ombudsman has said that it (past reports) still pending before them" Duterte said.
He explained that he doesn't wanted to flurry the findings of the other commission tasked
to investigate the Mamasapano Massacre.
Critics blamed former President Benigno Aquino III for the Mamasapano Massacre that killed
44 outnumbered members of PNP-SAF two years ago.
The supporters of Noynoy Aquino in the other side believed that the current administration
is only using the Mamasapano Massacre to divert the controversies faced by the PNP right now
after a Korean Businessman was killed inside Camp Crame.
