And I've been studying in Mexico for a year
If I tell you "Mexico", I'm sure you think about...

You're totally right! This is Mexico.
But...
I wanna tell you a bit more
When I told my friends and family I wanted to come here for my exchange program
You can imagine their reactions!
YOU WANNA DIE DURING YOUR EXCHANGE?!
Nope, I had no intentions to die and look...
So far, so good
Even, so great !
But more people were telling me how narcotrafic and violence are running this country
and more I wanted to go!
More I wanted to see with my own eyes
This country known as really dangerous
And whose medias love to relate every bad news
At this time, I'm 19
I don't know anything about this country
I don't know anyone over there
But I'm so excited about going there,
Nothing could stop me.
Now I'm living in Mexico,
I can tell you it's not that dangerous
If you don't get in a drug cartel
or come back home alone at 4am in a tiny dark street
Nothing's gonna happen to you!
We realize, the advice works for every big city of this world
The only big difference,
is that in case of troubles, the police isn't your mate!
So if you have a problem,
you solve it amicably or
never mind... !
Yes, we're still talking about a very corrupted country !
Here,
I discovered the latine culture
well I'm sure a lot of you alreday know what I'm talking about...
But me, I had no idea !
Yes, I'd heard about salsa,
bachata,
dance for two...
or even reggaeton.
But I was actually not prepared,
and when I say not prepared...
it's NOT prepared!
In Mexico, they know how to move !
More you're close from the guy and more you move your ass in clubs,
the more stylish you'll be.
As a foreigner, it's a bit hard to adapt
but you quickly realize it's way cooler
no blind spots
less barriers
and therefore, they're super happy!
About drinks,
and especially, alcohol.
Here, they drink Tequila with "Squirt"
The Squirt is a fizzy drink tasting lemon.
Squirt can mean "female ejaculation" in English,
Here you realize we're in a macho country
with a degrading image of women.
Here, the head of household is the "maaale"
and he earns 13,6% more than his wife.
Just for the anecdote,
last March, 8th
the International Women Day
we went manifesting on the streets with my friends.
I live in Guadalajara,
it's the second biggest city in Mexico,
more than 4 millions of habitants.
And on the streets, this day,
we weren't more than 400 people,
and a vast majority of women.
About the food,
I noticed that compared to France, where we have 3 meals a day, in theory...
Mexicans eat less but all day long
they just nibble...
Very spicy
and very sweet !
The Coke is cheaper than the water in many cases,
Yoghurt supposed to be 'natural',
are in fact full of sugar,
and there is tacos foodtruck in every corner!
So, obesity is a big problem in Mexico
70% of adults are overweight or obese,
the childhood obesity rate is 31%,
it's the biggest rate of the world!
For the story, in most of school yards
running is prohibited
because there are too small !
So.....
Before to end, I'd like to talk about the word:
"Ahorita" literally means "right now",
But in reality, it's way more difficult to understand it,
especially for foreigners.
If someone is telling you,
I'm gonna repair your piping "ahorita",
or... I'm gonna lend you a book "ahorita".
It's totally normal that the action takes place in
2 months or more!
Mexico is a diversity of landscapes

From the Pacific coast's hot water
to the Nothern mountains.
From the tiny colorful villages
to the capital's skyscapers.
I know, all the countries have something to offer...

President Donald Trump has proven once again that he is the master of the media.
Today, Washington Post/ABC tried to publish one of their polls to discredit him and he
flipped it Big League.
The polls revealed, amongst other things, that 96%-98% of everyone that voted for Donald
Trump is happy with their decision.
I�m sure they were trying to act like us Trump supporters are gullible or some other
BS.
Nope.
President Trump hopped on twitter and took total control.
See what I mean?
The focus of the poll was on the alleged 42% approval rating of our president.
The problem here is that most Trump supporters don�t watch ABC or read Washington Post
because they are notorious liars.
So how can their polls be even a tiny bit accurate?
Oh, and let�s not forget that the same poll also found that most Americans approve of
his America First policies (75% to 25%), his handling of North Korea (46% to 37%), and
his ability to keep his promises (44% to 41%).
Of course, the media will never focus on that part.

Hi! Welcome to Sandy's Kitchen!
New Food for A New Mood!
Today's dish is one of my favorites
and it's probably the first dish I learnt from my mom.
It's a great recipe when you need to cook fast with minimum ingredients.
I don't know what it should be called officially,
because I never found it in any restaurant.
Just based on how it looks like, let's say Sun Eggs with Soy Sauce.
So before cooking, here I have
6 eggs for serving 2 people.
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of sugar
Now let's start to cook!
First, we need to fry the eggs.
Add a little bit more oil in the pan,
here I added 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil.
I like the edge of egg crispy
so I put it on medium heat
and fried each side 2 to 3 minutes.
Here I used an oil screen
which can prevent the oil from popping out of control
on to your hands, arms and all over your stovetop.
Put all fried eggs back into the pan
and turn on the heat to high
add 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
stir for few seconds
Then add enough water to cover half the eggs halfway.
Once the water is boiling, add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
Let it boil for 4 minutes.
Then it's done!
You can sprinkle some chopped green onion on the top as garnish.
It's better to eat this with rice
The egg is super tasty!
I like to add some of the sauce to my rice and mix them well
This is amazing!
