Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition vs Theatrical Cut- Thoughts - Duration: 5:16.
Mere days before Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice pummeled its way into the theaters;
director Zack Snyder revealed that there would be a longer (nearly 3 hours!)
R-Rated cut of the film for its eventual home video release.
This news was met with confusion before folks had a chance to see the theatrical cut, and
met with downright disdain after.
But perhaps there was still hope — perhaps this longer, darker cut might make sense of
the film's lackluster narrative?
Now it has been quite a while since Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: Extended Edition
came out, and here we are with our late review.
So does it fix the problems of the theatrical release?
We'll be posting a more detailed Blu-ray review that addresses that question, but the
short answer is: not that much.
This is still the same movie, just longer.
And while the increased runtime adds a few elements here and there, it does not drastically
change the film as a whole.
The biggest difference between the Ultimate Edition and the theatrical cut is that the
extent to which Lex Luthor goes to turn Batman against Superman is more detailed: The African
woman who testifies before Senator Finch about how Superman showed up in her village and
possibly murdered everyone — is revealed to have been paid by Lex to give false testimony
against Superman.
Lois Lane has a slightly bigger part as she investigates and uncovers more and more of
Lex's nefarious doings, and while more of Amy Adams is never a bad thing, the material
she's working with is so dull and un-engaging that it does the film no favors.
Lois' investigation leads her to cross paths with a character played by Jena Malone, and
Malone's mysterious cut-from-the-theatrical-version character perhaps lead to the most rampant
speculation among those tracking the film's rumors.
Most assumed that Malone was playing Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, but in actuality her
character is scientist Jenet Klyburn.
She pops up for two scenes, and while Malone looks great with a platinum blonde bob haircut,
and appears to even be flirting with Lois in her brief scenes, why Snyder felt the need
to cast an actress of Malone's caliber in such a thankless, nothing part is just another
one of this film's many mysteries.
Narrowing down we've got the following features-
• Lois Lane is really an outstanding investigative journalist.
We know this because we're told this.
But in the new version, we see her chasing leads.
• Superman doesn't just hate Batman.
Clark is investigating other matters and he's been "breadcrumbed" by fake information
created by Lex Luthor to bait him into fighting Batman.
• This investigation begins when Clark chases down the woman who testified before the Senate.
We find out that she lied and Lois herself discovers this fact.
• We see Senator Finch finding this all and being prepared to destroy Luthor.
Maybe destroying the Senate chambers was not an essential part of the plan but a contingency
for if Superman showed up or if Finch was on to him.
• Superman was baited further by making him believe that he was inept, when in fact,
Luthor played on his weaknesses —inability to see beyond a lead barrier in the wheelchair;
the staged conflict that resulted in dead people.
• We see Superman pulling bodies out of the burning Capitol.
This is important, it showed that he didn't run off, but tried to save people
• Superman had his unwavering commitment to bettering humans used against him at every
turn — we're shown a bit of Luthor's "Joker-like" ingeniousness.
I know people hated his Joker-like communication style (I loved it), but at least we're given
a better glimpse of these things.
• Superman wasn't so inept and his anger with Batman —a bit out of place considering
his behavior— was now reconstructed to be more in line with his character since we now
see him chasing down these leads that lead him to where he ultimately arrived.
So, that's the short analysis based on my opinion.
However, without a doubt the extended version is much better than the original one, and
we bet it would have been rated better if this was the theatrical version.
It has been a long time since it came out, and we now are waiting for Justcie League
as of the time this video is getting made.
So, if you haven't seen the extend version, your probably should right now.
Because from the recent success of Wonder Woman, and the way JL is looking till now,
the future is bright, and you want to have full knowledge of what's happening in the
DCEU as you move forward.

First things first, guys.
Obviously, these tail lights won't be for everybody.
Right?
Instead, they're going to be for the owners out there looking for a more wild appearance
and would like to make a big departure from the factory styling.
Now, for right around $100, prospective buyers can look forward to that smoked Altezza styling
in addition to a very simple one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter when it does
come time to talk about the install.
But we will have some more detail on that later on.
Now, tail lights are one of those things on your Mustang that gives owners a lot of options
out there.
For instance, keep things simple and kind of stick to that OE recipe, or go to the other
end of the spectrum and end up with something like this.
It really just boils down to personal preference, what kind of look you're after, and how big
of an impact you want to make to your styling.
But let's focus in a little bit more on these lights.
Again, Axial is your brand.
It's definitely going to be one of your more affordable options in the world of aftermarket
lighting here at AM, and the $100 price point certainly reflects that very well.
Now, if you wanted to kick things up a notch, maybe step the quality up a little bit more,
get a slightly better warranty, check out some of the Raxiom options on the site instead.
There are a bunch to choose from.
But again, for the purposes of this video, let's focus in on the Axials that I have on
my fancy, little desk here.
Now, at the core, these lights do feature that Altezza or Euro styling, whatever you
want to call it.
What does that mean to you?
Well, traditionally, that means you're getting a chrome housing with a clear lens, but in
this case a smoked lens, and the round or oval red reflectors.
Now, these lights are sold in sets of two, and they do not include any bulbs.
You're simply just going to reuse yours on your New Edge.
Now, if you did like that Altezza styling and maybe you wanted to see a little bit more
of it, Axial does offer another set of these lights on the site.
They're going to feature a black housing, but with a totally clear lens, again, show
off that Euro styling a little bit better, in addition to increasing the visibility of
your brake lights a little bit better.
Because, let's be honest.
Anytime you do add a smoked light to your car, there is the slightest impairment in
light output.
But of course, you can correct that through stronger bulbs.
We do offer an LED bulb upgrade on the product page from the drop-down menu.
It'll certainly help increase your visibility with the smoked lenses, and will be a nice
little upgrade over your factory incandescent bulbs.
In addition to that, we do also offer a turn signal sequencing harness, and that's just
going to give you that old-school look, of course, sequencing the brake lights, turn
signals, and things like that.
They both are available on the product page for a little bit extra, of course.
However, I do recommend, while on the product page, check out the very favorable reviews
from the Axial tail lights, in addition to some customer-submitted images as well, as
it's always a better way to give you an idea of how these things might look on your own
ride.
Well, let's switch gears and briefly talk about that installation, guys, as promised
earlier.
I'll be completely honest with you.
It's not going to get much easier than this.
So one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter.
Maybe 30 minutes of your time from start to finish is what you're looking at here.
In fact, all you really need is your 2 hands and an 11-millimeter socket or wrench.
Getting started, peel back the trunk liner in the tail light area to expose the 3 11-millimeter
nuts that you will remove with your socket or wrench that we talked about a little bit
earlier.
Now, once you remove all three bolts per side, go ahead and unscrew the tail light bulb harness
or socket, and then remove the factory tail lights from the car.
Now, you can install the Axial tail lights for the very first time, reinstalling the
turn signal, reverse, and brake light bulbs and harness in the process.
Reinstall those 3 11-millimeter nuts, secure the trunk liner, and your installation is
complete.

Designing games is hard, especially for a triple A company like Blizzard who has a shining
reputation and set of expectations to live up to.
What's even MORE difficult, is making sure that every aspect of your game including characters,
mechanics, modes, visuals, music, and so on, are all working together effectively to bring
the user a fair, fun, and awesome experience.
We talk about a lot of things on this channel like comp strategy, OP heroes, and lore, but
I wanted to take a few minutes and talk about something that can be easily overlooked in
today's myriad of insanely detailed and excellent titles: truly excellent design.
Today's, were going to check out the top 5 Best designed heroes in overwatch that stand
out amongst a roster of already excellently designed characters.
This list is based primarily on gameplay, and how the hero interacts with allies and
enemies, as well as the environment and gameplay style of overwatch in general.
Let's dive in!
Genji is a fantastic example of great design and flexibility!
There's really no denying that Genji is super fun to play for the people who enjoy his play
style and he's also a really fun hero to watch and pretty much any match.
There's a reason he has a super dedicated player base and the Unique Mechanics and exciting
gameplay is an incredible example of why class-based Shooters work as a genre.
Genji is a hero that not only fits the theme that the developers were going for but also
seamlessly merges fast paced long-range gameplay with Mobility and melee ranges swordplay.
On top of that he has a relatively high skill cap that helps to separate the normal Genji
players with the exceptional.
You can easily tell when a player has mastered all three aspects of Genji as they are able
to play offensively or defensively either at long or short range.
Of course all of these aspects form up to make a class, in this case a ranged assassin
with a ton of utility.
However Genji's Synergy is quiet at risk.
Most of the time it's either Genji solo carries the entire team or does very little in the
way of helping his team win.
This can definitely be attributed to the skill level of the Genji player but usually it's
more of a team composition issue.
For example when Genji combos with Ana's ult and goes haam on a team with dragon blade,
that team is usually obliterated since there are very few heroes that can mitigate the
ult combo or stop him long enough to get away.
Any combo that snares or incapacitates enemies for more than a second or two is extremely
dangerou with Genji's kit as well.
The last thing you want to do when being chased down by a good genji player is stand still.
The damage output on his secondary fire alone are enough to kill you in seconds if you are
still.
In a vacuum though, genji is a shining example of great design mixing up multiple aspects
that function well together and make a solid class for players to master, even if he is
a bit OP when combined with certain heroes.
Although Mercy hasn't always been relevant in the professional meta, she's a great example
of Blizzard managing to make the support/healer class so much more interesting than many thought
possible originally in a class-based shooter.
Her healing style is similar to that of other Class based shooters, however it's in her
mobility and utility that she really shines as a well-designed hero.
Her alt fire power boost, while not *directly* causing mercy to do damage, helps out other
teammates and is super versatile!
It can stack with other damage-enhancing effects [FACT CHECK THIS], as well as enhance a push
or defence if used on the right heroes.
Her mobility makes up for her lack of significant overall weapon damage.
Although, her pistol can be deadly in the right circumstances, and an above average
mercy player WILL kill you if you back them into a corner or leave them without a target
to heal adding a bit more balance and survivability alongside the mobility.
Being able to dash between heroes and souls helps bring mercy's design even higher on
the scale since she uses it in nearly every aspect of her kit, from getting to a target
to heal, getting away from an enemy, or swooping into a group of dead allies to resurrect them.
Speaking of her ultimate, it's the highest risk vs. reward ult in the game as mercy has
a pretty good chance of being taken down now that the range of the ult is much lower than
in previous builds of the game.
One good res can turn a game around or be the winning play, while one failed or mistimed
rez can end a push or hold before it's maximum potential is reached.
All-in-all, she's a fun, well-balanced, and sometimes crucial support hero that feels
well designed from basic to advanced play!
Zenyatta has a spotty record as far as his place in the meta over time, however in terms
of a unique and interesting character to play, Zenyatta truly shines through as one of the
very few truly original and interesting characters in Overwatch.
Many characters in Overwatch face the problem of being based off of or inspired by something
that was previously existing in a different game, but Zenyatta is a total breath of fresh
air, and is such a cool take on the support role by being a heavily offensive presence
despite being a support.
In essence, a "glass cannon" support, Zen can cause massive amounts of damage and
havoc, while keeping his team alive on the side.
Alternatively, a player can focus zens abilities a little more defensively and focus on orbing
targets, both ally and enemy, keeping everything buffed / debuffed for the entire fight instead
of contributing a ton of damage; all depending on the team's needs and the support layout
of the comp.
Though he shouldn't be considered a main healer because of the slow pace of the orb's
healing, his damage supplements that with a great fire rate / accuracy combo that really
hits surprisingly hard for a support.
This unique and versatile approach to a debuffer / glass cannon / healer support brings a delicate
but ultimately balanced and very well designed kit that is exclusive to Overwatch.
He also happens to be super-fun to play for just about anyone who will give Zen the time
to really shine in their hands.
Zarya brings a super interesting, offensive / versatility kit style to the role of playing
a tank.
She allows other heroes to be tanky and creates some insane synergies and combos, and although
has been nerfed here and there, her mechanics are awesome and she shines as a prime example
of one of Overwatch's biggest strengths - being able to truly expand and make every different
role viable in an FPS, not just classes that 'deal damage', or just "tank".
Her shielding goes against the usual proactive shield play from other games and other genres,
and focuses on reactive shielding.
Reason being is that the shields last for such a short amount of time, it's better
to toss it on a target who's ALREADY taking damage vesus hitting them with it before they
jump into combat.
The way her shield play and damage dealing forms sort of a self-contained feedback loop
where one helps the other to maintain max viability on both sings to her unique and
offensive / frontline design.
Just like her shields, you play Zarya as a reactive, front line berserker, ready to take
AND deal damage at a moment's notice.
Balance her potentially irresponsible amounts of forward
damage with an ult that doesn't do damage, but instead HAS to be combo'd with either
her fully charged weapon or other team members ults and you have an excellently balanced,
we-ll designed, out-of-the box tank that even non-tank players can get into!
Tracer has something that no other hero can claim that is a standing testament to her
hero design: Since her release, she hasn't received a single buff or nerf and has remained
in a relevant, but not overpowering spot in the meta throughout.
With an incredibly unique kit, and some awesome gameplay attached to her there's no doubt
Tracer is the best designed hero in Overwatch!
Damage?
Check.
Mobility?
Check.
Damage Mitigation?
Check.
Chirpy, british enthusiasm?
Check, check!
She a high skill-cap, mobile bullet dispenser that can blink and recall to avoid, engage,
withdraw, and double her output depending on the situation, which makes her extremely
versatile.
When properly played, Tracer can avoid and/or mitigate a ton of damage with recall and blink
as well as get across the battlefield faster than any other hero.
The beauty of tracer is the simplicity of her design.
None of the abilities in general are all that complicated or tricky.
It's using them at the right time in conjunction with each other that is the real skill to
tracer.
Creating a hero that has this kind of gap between entry and pro while being able to
perform a myriad of tasks such as scout, flanking damage, and distraction -- and live through
it all -- is a feat in design in itself.
Even her ult is simple, yet requires skill to land properly on time and on target, or
comob'd with other's.
Speaking of others, she synergizes well with just about any team comp I can think of, supplementing
the Damage dealers, distracting for the tanks, and keeping enemies off the supports.
She has very low HP, but compared to the other 150 - 200 HP heroes, you won't find much more
versatility and survivability in one package.
So well designed that even blizzard feels she doesn't need to be messed with, Tracer
takes the number one spot on the list!

Design is usually such an overlooked topic, but it's fun to take a look at how things
are focused and created in Overwatch and how those designs go from an idea in someone's
head to a fleshed-out, well done hero in game that we can all get our hands on and enjoy!

The question isn't about whether dark matter exists or not.
What's going on is, when we measure gravity in the universe—the collective gravity of
the stars, the planets, the moons, the gas clouds, the black holes, whole galaxies—when
we do this, 85 percent has no known origin.
So it's not a matter of whether dark matter exists or not, it's a measurement—period.
Now, "dark matter" is not even what we should be calling it because that implies
that it is matter; it implies we know something about it that we actually don't.
So a more precise labeling for it would be "dark gravity."
Now, if I called it dark gravity, are you going to say: "Does dark gravity really
exist?"
I'd say yeah, because 85 percent of the gravity has no known origin.
There it is.
Let's figure out what's causing it.
The fact that the word "matter" got into that word is forcing people to say, "Well
I have another idea, I bet it's not matter, it could be something else!"
We're overreacting to a label that overstates our actual insights or knowledge into what
it is we're describing.
Then I just joke we should just call it Fred.
Fred or Wilma, something where there is no reference to what we think it is because in
fact we have no idea.
So here's how you actually measure the stuff.
In a galaxy, which is the smallest aggregation of matter where dark matter manifests, you
look how fast it's rotating and we know from laws of gravity first laid down by Johannes
Kepler and then enhanced and given further detail and deeper understanding by Isaac Newton,
you write down these equations and say, look how fast it's rotating, you invoke that rotation
rate in the equation and out the other side says how much gravity, how much mass should
be there attracting you.
And the more mass that's there the faster we expect you to be orbiting.
That kind of makes sense.
So when you do this calculation on a galactic scale, we get vastly more mass attracting
you than we actually can detect.
I'm adding up stars, gas clouds, moon, planets, black holes—add it all up.
It's a fraction of what we know is attracting you in this orbit, and we cannot detect the
rest and so we hand it this title dark matter.
Understandably, I suppose.
But it implies that we know that it's matter, but we don't.
We know we can't detect it in any known way and we know it has gravity, so it really should
be called dark gravity.
I think the over–under on what dark matter might be, today, I think we're all kind of
leaning towards a family of particles, subatomic particles, that have hardly any ability to
interact with the particles we have come to know and love, "ordinary matter".
And that would make it matter, dark matter, as we've all been describing it.
And it's not a weird thing that you could have a particle that doesn't interact with
our particles.
Within our own family of particles there are examples where the interaction is very weak
or nonexistent.
You might have heard of neutrinos, this is a ghost-like particle that permeates the universe
and hardly interacts with familiar matter at all, yet it is part of our family of particles
that we know exist and that we can detect and interact with.
So if we can have an elusive particle that's part of our own familiar family of particles
it's not much of a stretch to think of a whole other category of particles where none of
them give a rat's ass about the rest of us, and they just pass right through us as
though we're not even there.
Now, here's what's interesting about dark matter: we know it doesn't interact with us
except gravitationally.
By the way, what do I mean by interact?
Does it bind and make atoms and molecules and solid objects?
No, it does not interact with us in any important known way.
But it also doesn't interact with itself.
That's what's interesting.
So if it interacted with itself you could imagine finding dark matter planets, dark
matter galaxies, because to interact with yourself is what allows you to accumulate
and have a concentration of matter in one place versus another.
These are the atomic bonds and the molecular bonds that create solid objects.
And if particles do not interact with one another, they just pass through, you just
have this zone of mass not really doing anything interesting.
So dark matter not only doesn't interact with us, it doesn't interact with itself.
And that's why when we find dark matter across the universe it's very diffusely spread out.
It's like over here.
It's not in this one spot and look at this concentration.
No, that's not how that works.
An example of this: What is a rock?
It's a collection of atoms and molecules that are stuck together by electromagnetic forces.
We don't think of them that way, we just think of them as rocks, but they are held together
by forces on the atomic and molecular scale, and they bind together and then we get what
we call the solid object called a rock.
If those forces did not work on you as a particle, you have no occasion to bind with any other
particle.
You have no occasion—you have no ambitions of ever becoming a solid object.
It's a different kind of world, that would be.
We would not expect that world to have life as we know it, because life requires an assembly
of molecules to turn it into some separate entity distinct from everything else that
then has fascinating chemical properties that we call life.
