Social Media Fundamentals - (Intro to Social Media) Part 1 - Duration: 8:52.

(music)

Hi! You are with Polly McGee also known as Dr. Digital. Welcome to this episode of

social media fundamentals part of a series put together by the digital ready

program part of the Tasmanian State Government. So this series is about

social media for business and we're really starting with the basics so it's

perfect for you if you've literally just started to get your head around how you

might use social media in your business. Now we all know that in this day and age

every business no matter whether you're online or a service based business or

you've got a bricks and mortar store, it is going to need to have some sort of

digital presence.

And this series and the information in it

helps you navigate

that and engage more fully with the digital economy.

So what are social media

fundamentals?

What are some of the things you need to know if you're sitting there

at your computer for the first time wondering how it is you're going to ever

navigate this really complex landscape? Well first of all it's not as complex as

you might think it is and like most things when you begin to learn something

of course you're going to feel a little bit overwhelmed. Just park that feeling

because what you need to know is, social media is very practical,

it's very incremental and you learn as you go. So as long as you've got the

basics right the rest is up to you to just practice and keep going. Why would

you use social media and what is it about social media that makes it such a

great tool for business? It really boils down to it being a way of getting

referrals and trust. Much like if you meet a complete

stranger in the street who says "hey, you should go and buy this" you're not really

likely to take their advice but if one of your friends rings you up and tells

you they've had an amazing service experience or they've bought an

incredible product you're really likely to take what they say as gospel

and maybe go and do it yourself. So social media works on that principle

that it's a way of sharing and having a two-way conversation. Social media in

Australia is really big. We've been an early adopter of all of the different

channels. Let's look at some of the statistics. Forty-nine percent of

Australians use social media daily so that's nearly half the population that

are accessing a social media channel on their device or on their laptop

or on their home computer, 93% of people use Facebook, a huge statistic, 28% use

LinkedIn, 26% use Instagram, 17% use Twitter, and 19% use Pinterest every

single day. That's a whole lot of people using those channels to get their

information and to have conversations. 70% of those use them on their

smartphone that means wherever they are wherever their proximity is to your

business they're going to be able to have a look and find out what you're up

to. Makes a pretty compelling argument as to

why you should get involved. But why would you use social media for business?

you might be a user in your personal life and wondering how you can make that

transition. The answer is that social media functions in a very similar way -

it's about having a conversation and it's about connecting with people just

like you do in your everyday social media life. When it's for business though

there's a different intention and that direct intention is that you are getting

people across your brand and getting them into a conversation with what it is

you do and why you do it. So the method is very similar but the outcome and the

reason that you're doing it, the intention, is quite different. So here are

some of the reasons you might use it. Use it for brand awareness - you're using

social media channels to let people know what your brand is, what it is you do,

what your product or service is, why it's important and why it makes a difference

in the world and why it's more importantly going to make a difference

to their life. You use social media to generate leads to start to reach out to

customers that you know and also customers that you don't know but that

you'd like to be a customer. It's.. It's connection, it's connection with people

it's your brand having a voice that's real and it's human and it's also

social proof. When you have people engaging with your brand who's are

validating it, who are evangelists for it who are talking about it. It's a third

party independent way of saying all of the messaging in your brand is valid and

is accepted and spoken off by the market and it also helps people search for

things they don't even know that they want yet. So social media is really

important for all of those reasons. So let's talk about some of the ways you

might set up your thinking around social media. Social media is going to need a

strategy and we're going talk about strategy a little later on in

a different segment. But for now in terms of your social media fundamentals, what

is it that you need to do with social media so what are the objectives for

your brand or your product or service. What are some of the things that you

want to do and that you want to achieve by using social media? It's really

important that you think through this this is a beginning in terms of

fundamentals. So you are sitting down at computer you work out what channels to use. What

are the objectives what is it you need it to do? Some of them are things like

getting people to learn and listen. With many products and services one of the

barriers to purchasing is people just don't quite understand what it is that

your product or service does and more importantly they don't understand what

it does for them. One of the reasons that you would use social media is because it

breaks down that barrier and you can help explain what your product is, what

it does, why it's important and you can get them to have an interaction with it

so it feels more familiar to them. It's a really important part of how social

media functions and it's a really important part of you and your business

getting out there and getting into people's minds and being top of mind

when they need to use that product or service and they want to make a purchase.

To do that one of the things that you need to think about as you go out there

and you're going to spread the word is who you are spreading the word to and this is

where the fundamentals gets right back to basics. You need to think about where

your customers are and who they are coz that's going to largely

determine what channels they like to use on social media. Again in a later segment

we're going to break down those channels for you and really talk about what they

do and how to use them but for now if you think about the basic suite of

social media that functions in Australia we've mentioned some of them already so

Facebook obviously massive amounts of people use. It it's a fairly good bet

that a lot of your customers are going to be there so you want to think about

whether you'd use Facebook. Instagram another really big channel in Australia

and conveniently owned by Facebook so they share a lot of the same similarities,

slightly different markets but is that where your customers are? The real thing

is to understand who your customers are and what they do because that's going to

largely determine what their demographics are and what channel they

might use. So when you're thinking about your social media fundamentals and what

you need, one of them is to know where your people

are. If we talk about demographics what we're really saying is what are the

basic components of your customer group; what age are they, what gender are they,

where do they live and is that potentially important to how they're

going to access your product or service? What are some of the things that they

really enjoy so really getting to understand what you know about them and

building out those profiles. Social media is also about the reach so when you know

that it means you're going to be able to reach out to them and very specifically

target the engagement that you're having. you will be able to do this using a number of

different tools but most importantly all of the different channels they offer you

the opportunity to reach out using their demographic sets and then be able to

analyse what you've done with the analytics later on. Social media also

offers very importantly amazing customer service opportunities particularly to

reach customers who aren't going to come into physical contact with your brand or

your product. It's an opportunity for you to talk to them and really begin that

two-way conversation. So these are some of the reasons that you'd use social media

and the main one you need to remember is that it begins the conversation with

customers and your brand and product and it opens up channels for you to be able

to reach out and really start to engage in a meaningful way. And of course that's

going to lead to sales which is the main thing that you're trying to achieve by

using social media. So there's some fundamentals for you for social media.

Stay with us and in the next segment we're going to start digging down and

looking into social media strategy. You're with Dr. digital aka Polly McGee.

Thanks for joining me for social media fundamentals.

NÃO use botas de descida, nunca, jamais. - Duration: 2:19.

Hello fishkeeper, this is the Aquarian video Practical, videos that help you perform

decisive actions in our aquariums.

This is a clarification of why I am against the use of those "L Shape descent" and what solutions do you count

today that are far superior to this system.

The descent boots are a structure in L where two flanges are usually placed,

require drilling of the aquarium in the bottom, something which in itself is already complicated and even

dangerous.

A L descent is inaccessible for cleaning, these are structures accumulate dirt as the

time, in the case of marine aquariums it is very that are filled with sponges and tunicates

which may be in excess, close the descent from water.

Any structure that can not be disassembled and clean is bad and dangerous, it causes problems

long-term increase in nitrates and not is more efficient than the options we have

currently downhill.

The first model is the overflow box, a box where the water overflows, can be external or

internal, is safe, tested and maintained easy.

Nowadays they use drastically reducing drastically or falling noise.

The second model is the sixth similar glass to overflowbox but literally a glass of

overflow where it is necessary to drill the bottom of the aquarium.

It has the advantage of being bigger and therefore volume of water, unfortunately it occupies a

space of the aquarium.

Of these two models both work, are tested and are accessible by the hobbyist.

Can be easily cleaned with a brush and if any animal falls there it is easily

removed.

If an animal falls into a boot, it will be fatally lost forever.

And it is common for turbo snails and shrimp climb and fall into the pits once in a

when, how much more inside L.

L's plus this is more complicated to ride and to do any maintenance is necessary

the complete disassembly of the aquarium.

We hope it is very clear to you that reason why the world no longer uses

this system of descents.

I await you in our next video.

10 Fat-Burning Plant Foods That Have More Protein Than an Egg - Duration: 6:08.

10 Fat-Burning Plant Foods That Have More Protein Than an Egg

It is highly recommended to intake sufficient amount of protein, because they offer a lot

of healthy benefits.

People usually consider animal products as the only food rich in proteins, but in fact

there are many other foods abundant in proteins besides the meat products.

Eggs are one of them and they contain high amount of proteins, but on the other hand

they can lead to allergy or sensitivity.

But, we are going to clarify the real meaning of proteins.

There is a string of amino acids from which the proteins are made, and every string has

a specific function.

For example, dopamine – the neurotransmitter for the 'happy' feeling is produced from

the amino acid phenylalanine.

There are two kinds of amino acids – non-essential and essential.

The essential amino acids are consumed with food and then they produce the non-essential

amino acids.

Our body requires the protein for many purposes, and protein deficiency can result in breaking

the muscle tissue to get the essential amino acids.

Proteins have many significant properties and it capacity of building and repairing

the muscle mass is the most significant one.

It also has the ability to produce neurotransmitters such as melatonin, dopamine and serotonin.

The protein also has the capacity of producing enzymes, hormones and antibodies.

So it is of great significance to intake sufficient amount of proteins, but be careful not to

consume too much.

The recommended daily amount of protein intake is the minimum of 13g/lb of protein of the

total body weight to hinder the braking down of muscle mass.

The best amount for daily intake of protein is 30g/lb. but the recommended daily dose

can vary in every person and it dependable of many different factors, like duration,

frequency of physical activity, goals and age and many others.

For instance, the sufficient amount of protein in older people is a little bit bigger than

the recommended daily amount for average people.

But 2g – 8g/lb is considered as the safe amount of protein intake.

A bigger amount than 8g/lb of protein intake can result unnecessary stress on the liver.

Ammonia is a result of the metabolizing process of protein and the ammonia is converted into

urea.

The liver should not be put under a lot of pressure, but this is what happens to the

liver when we intake a lot of protein, over the limited amount.

Eggs, fish and meat are foods with highest amount of protein.

It is also very important to eat organic and high quality products because toxins are also

present in the fat of animals.

But you can also intake protein from other food besides the meat products.

Growbox® plant cocoon anti desertification plantation in Baja California Mexico - Duration: 4:02.

We're here in Baja California, Mexico, where we planted in January 2016

10 Growboxx® plant cocoons with 5 Mezquites

and 5 Cypress (Mezquites are var. Prospopis).

We only gave water while we were planting, for the rest they never got any maintenance.

Look how extremely hot it was here, this year.

It's now September 2017, only a month ago the whole area was burning.

We were very lucky to find that our trees have not died.

So with this video we demonstrate that no matter how hot is,

you can always plant with the Growboxx® plant cocoon.

This is a Prosopis.

This is a Cypress.

The trees have been planted with a length of about 25-30 cms.

Most of them are now almost 1 meter

and they look very healthy

Although you can see, that the fire came up to about 2 meters of our trees.

And of course there was some damage,

because it was so hot, some trees even burned.

Here is a Cypress that suffered.

On one side it's burned, but the other side is still green.

It's incredible how resistant the trees get.

if you don't give water artificially, but they have to find it themselves,

which is the basic thing of the Groasis Technology, when we plant trees.

After the planting one of the trees was attacked by a gopher.

This is an animal that lives below the soil, and it eats the roots.

We left the tree in order to demonstrate what happens, if that happens.

Also to give more credibility to our video.

This is again a Mezquite, it is almost more than 1 meter.

Another Mezquite.

And at last we have a beautiful Cypress.

The Cypress really was very close to the fire.

It's amazing that it was so strong, that it didn't suffer.

The Growboxx® is still in good shape,

and of course when it rains, it even still catches the rain.

Look what happens if the tree is healthy, and survives with a good root system.

This is the result of using the Growboxx® plant cocoon.

It is now for sale and I hope that you are happy using it.

if you want to avoid using drip irrigation.

Thank you very much, this is Pieter Hoff from Baja California, Mexico.

King of Avalon: Dragon Warfare - Update 3.6 Merlin's Trials - Duration: 3:57.

Hello guys, welcome back!

I'm Lady of Avalon from the KoA Studio

here to introduce you the new update, 3.6.

In 3.5, as you asked,

we focused more on the PvP function

introducing the Prestige feature

but this time we're going back to the PvE

with a new, cool function, the Merlin's Trails.

For the Merlin's Trails

we decided to merge a new PvE feature

with one of the most requested rewards system,

which is the Merlin's Event.

Said like this it might be a bit confusing

so let me show you the big picture

and describe the idea behind the function.

We wanted to challenge you in a fun way

which also means without losing troops and resources

so we came up with the idea of a series of Trials

that will test the strength of your City

on different criteria.

We also wanted to give out rewards

for succeeding in these trials,

and at the end of these trials you'll receive Tokens

that you can lately exchange

for the rewards that you prefer.

Let's check these trials in details.

After the update,

you'll find a large Ship by your Parade Ground

and by tapping on it

you'll access the Merlin's Trials.

These trials will change every day

and they will test certain aspects of your City

which are Dragon, Equipment, Research and Building

Now, let me give you a practical example

with the Research Trial

which is currently available on Thursday.

For the Research Trials,

the only buffs that are going to be counted

are the ones provided by the University.

So, after embarking, you'll find yourself on a map

which is made of strongholds and chests

where the stronghold represents the Trials

and the chest represents the rewards.

At this point you just have to play the Trials

following the order and remember

that you have to complete

all the Trials of the first map

to unlock the following ones.

At that point is pretty simple,

you just fight your way through the Trials

and earn the rewards

and at each Trial that you complete

you're going to get better rewards.

Now let's check the other Trials

available on the Ship.

The Equipment Trials will let you fight

using the benefits from the Equipment.

The Dragon Trials will let you fight

using the benefits from the Dragon.

The Gemstone Trials will let you use

the benefits from the Gemstones.

Then we have the Building Trials

that will let you use the benefits from Buildings

and Prestige Power

and then we have the Combo Trials

that will let you use both the benefits

from the Equipment and the Gemstones.

For the rewards

you can access the new store by tapping on Redeem.

As I said before

it's going to work pretty much

like the Merlin's Experiment Event's system.

You're going to find a tab with a list of rewards

and the price for each one of them

and this time the list is pretty big

so there's going to be materials, Hero fragments,

Speed Ups and so on.

King of Avalon: Dragon Warfare - Update 3.6 The Deathseeker Set - Duration: 1:15.

Hi guys, welcome back!

I'm Lady of Avalon from the KoA Studio

here to introduce you the new update 3.6.

In this short video

we're going to focus on the small features

that we added with this new patch.

Let's get started!

The first difference you're going to notice

is the addition of a new Lord Equipment set

the Deathseeker.

This is the first set available for Lord level 31

and it's going to give great buffs to your attack.

The difference with the other sets is that

you're going to need a special item,

the Dragon Essence

to enhance it to the next level.

It's also going to be incredibly useful

for some of the Merlin's Trials.

We've also improved the Gemstones interface.

We added a new Gemstone showcase.

in your Armory tab.

This will show you all types of Gemstones per category

and also all of their variations.

It's all guys!

I hope you'll love this amazing new update

and make sure to check the FAQs from time to time

as we'll write all of the changes there.

Well our roommate is gone

I see you dying. I need you to hold on...

At least until right after she gets back.

Because otherwise it'll be my fault and she might get mad.

Well you know that it's true.

She didn't leave any watering instructions for you.

So you can take but you gotta give if you wanna live.
