Youtube daily report Dec 15 2017

I think one of the most common reactions that I get when I tell people that I've discovered new species

is utter surprise that there are new species left to be discovered.

- That's a male of a new species, that's the first male we got!

- No way! - Yeah!

What we're doing is looking under every rock, every log, every debris on the ground...

you really have to put yourself into the shoes of an arachnid and imagine,

'if I was an arachnid, where would I be hiding?'

I'm definitely not in the lab all the time.

That's really a stereotype that's inaccurate.

I think the stereotype that I'd like to imagine myself in a little bit more is like

Indiana Jones sort of situation, exploring the unknown and trying to discover something new.

Why did it have to be snakes?

I am scared of snakes - legit.

I don't even want to admit that right now!

I'm really scared of mosquitoes, and I'm scared of birds flying out of the bushes at night.

(sighs) Yeah...

There's moments when I'm in the field that I don't feel like it's the most glamorous job,

when I haven't showered and I've run out of water

and I just want to go home and watch some Netflix...

- Hello! It's the end of my first day out in the field.

But I'm already pretty tired, hot and sweaty...

- Hello, it's Lauren!

I just got back from my morning of collecting

and it was hot and sweaty as you can probably see...

...but at the end of the day it's something that I really love doing, and that's everything.

Arachnids are both diurnal and nocturnal,

and arachnids are often what we call cryptic species, which means that they're trying to blend in,

and so that makes them really hard to see.

So we do have a number of tools that we also bring along with us when we go out

into the field, and one of those is a leaf litter sifter.

You shake all the leaves around, and at the bottom is a funnel that collects all of the little leaf particles,

and lots of insects and arachnids, and even some other weird things like amphipods,

which are a kind of crustacean.

We also bring a vegetation beater or a beat sheet, which is like a white kite

that you hold under vegetation as you knock a stick or something against the vegetation

and spiders and insects rain down,

sometimes ants rain down into your shirt too, which is not the most fun.

Then you use a pooter, which is like a mouth vacuum,

to suck all the insects and arachnids up and collect them into a vial.

I want to get a logo screen printed on my fanny pack

that says, "Just poot it."

That'd be good, right?

As soon as you get back to the base camp and start looking at what you've collected,

you may notice that you've collected all the same few species, which is a sign of a disturbed forest,

or you've collected a lot of different species, which is a sign of a healthy forest.

- This is some of the stuff we collected over the last two weeks.

It might not look like a ton, but in each of those little baggies

there's anywhere from two to a few hundred to maybe even a thousand specimens.

Then once night completely falls, we'll take out our ultraviolet lamps and start looking

for scorpions. We'll work until 1:00 in the morning or so and then try to get some sleep.

- I don't know exactly for sure what it is, but I'm going to find out!

Ah-HAAAA!

I think that my research stems from a need that I have as an individual to understand

the biodiversity of the world.

Somewhere between 30 and 50% of the arachnid species on Earth are only known to science.

What I've made my personal life's mission is to try to document the remaining 50%, and

what that requires is a lot of on-the-ground, hard work, and also back in the lab working

the microscope and in the genetics lab.

- This one is a new species.

AHHHHH!

We're pretty excited.

It's like the whipped cream on top of the ice cream sundae.

We found it the first day, and this one is an adult female, which means it's a really valuable specimen:

we can actually use it for describing the species formally.

and, I don't know, I couldn't be more happy.

We're losing species at a rate that's higher than the rate we're discovering species,

and unless we understand what's out there, it's impossible to understand how to protect it

and how to conserve it.

So for me, I feel a fundamental duty to the Earth really to document and improve our knowledge

of species on the planet.

when examining an erupting volcano.

Paul Ryan Considers Retirement Because He's Afraid Of Voter Backlash In 2018 - Duration: 2:52.

In a rare bit of good news recently, Representative Paul Ryan, who also happens to be the Republican

speaker of the House of Representatives, has told confidants closest to him that 2018 might

be his last year as an elected government official because he may retire after the 2018

midterms.

According to Paul Ryan and what he's told people, he's pretty much accomplished all

that he wanted to, all that he set out to do with his life in politics, which is give

corporations massive tax breaks and that's likely to go ahead and pass next week.

But that's not what's actually happening here.

The reason Paul Ryan does not want to continue going in politics after 2018 is because he

pretty much understands that the public's not going to let him continue in politics

beyond the year 2018.

Right now, he is facing a massive electoral battle against Randy Bryce, the working class

man who decided to run against Paul Ryan as a Democrat in the Wisconsin house election

for that district.

Bryce in the last week after Roy Moore got defeated in Alabama has raised tens of thousands

of dollars with this seeming democratic wave that appears to be coming ahead of 2018 and

probably will last throughout 2018.

Paul Ryan not only sees Randy Bryce as a major threat, somebody who could easily beat him,

but Paul Ryan also understands that the public right now is pretty pissed off at the Republican

party, not just the polls, but the electoral results that we've seen this past year since

Donald Trump became president.

Republicans and special elections are losing and losing and losing with very few victories

to actually count.

Paul Ryan understands that his Republican party, the Republican party that he is leading

right now is hugely unpopular and they're going to get spanked in the 2018 midterms

and if he stays on as speaker of the house, that's on him.

He's the one responsible for that.

He's the one who would be responsible if Republicans lose the House of Representatives in 2018.

So when you see these stories about Paul Ryan may retire, he's accomplished so much, he

says he's finished his bucket list for Congress, don't believe it.

Paul Ryan wants to retire because he's terrified about the backlash that he and his Republican

party are going to face from voters in

the 2018 midterms.

Ultimate Football Challenge - Loser Gives Away His Football Boots! - Duration: 10:02.

Hey and welcome to a new video. We are the freekickerz and today we've got the SkyStalker pack from adidas in a challenge!

In this pack we've got: Nemeziz, X, Copa and the Predator, that will take over the ACE.

Let's see how we'll cope! Let's go!

And you can win something at the end of this video. The loser has to give away his boots! Oh shit!

No! But I'm out! Cause I'm the goalkeeper. Yeah, you're out cause you're always the loser.

Which means you can win one of these three pairs, if you stay until the end of this video! Enjoy!

Here we are at the first position. This is my position cause I've got the X - the chaos shoe. We will try to strike the ball as hard as we can. The one who hits it hardest and scores, wins!

No chance!

My hands are so cold! Just catch the balls man!

69 km/h!

That may work with Max....

What's wrong with that thing? But still, 63 km/h!

Better than no goal!

73 km/h ... Now Konzi, 120 km/h, come on!

Yes, here it comes!

72 km/h!

Ooooy, 78 km/h!

Aaalright! That flew right to the World Cup in Russia!

Come on Lukas! Upper 90, knuckleball!

78 km/h though!

72 km/h! 72 km/h!

It's so hard tough!

Now we're at the 2nd position. We've now got two hoops in goal. If someone hits one of them, he will instantly win. Otherwise the goal count decides. We will shoot from the middle. Let's see if I can win with my Predators!

Konzi has the first shot! Are you starting Konzi?!

You know that the most goals win, but I will just end this now by hitting the hoop!

Konstantin Hert aka. The Machine!

Rebound Konzi!

You so would've deserved the win with that left foot!

You sometimes have to risk it...

He doesn't get that stupid ring, but the damn camera!

Man I missed those fk shoots so bad. It's so much fun like that, hahaha!

Damn, it's wrecked. It's not turning on. Show me...

All okay here?

That was very, very, very close!

Nearly! That wasn't in?! No beneath it!

Okay this has been going for too long. Let's end this!

If you don't hit it now man. That'd be so funny!

This challenge is not getting enough respect. It's so hard to get it man... Top left!

See, the ball is still in though!

Oh my god. Konzi is taking off his clothes!

Oh the camera is still standing!

Still shit, I'm putting the jacket back on!

You so would've earned that!

That was too slow!

Karol is just standing there: Yeah, yeah! No! Yes, no! Yeah, ah damn!

That wasn't in...

The third and last challenge will be all about the Nemeziz: agility and goal threat! We'll play a One Two with our partner and try to score. Winner is whoever gets more goals!

Lukas always passes so far away from goal!

Good goalie!

Where?!?! Where am I shooting?!

Mask on and go!

This is the win! Naldo!

Goalie side... and the camera fell over again...

Ohhh, total escalation!

Finger tips!

Who's running up?! Naldo!

Yes man! Goalie!! Dude!

It looks like we're gonna have a draw!

So we can actually see here who at freekickerz can shoot goals out of the game and who can only score from a still position...

What power!

That was more like samba!

Hey, but it worked...

Everyone of us won a challenge, but we really have to give away a prize to one of the winners today. Sooo, penalties, right? Whoever misses first, loses this challenge. Paper, scissors, rock!

Tim is out. Okay Lukas starts!

Then Tim and me last!

If Lukas misses, we still have to score though!

Alright, Karol!

We actually have to carry him away. This is too embarrassing!

I thought that one didn't count! Of course it counts!

If we both score, you're out! Yes, hahaha!

You should concentrate now!

You can really see that Tim does not want to give away his shoes!

I'm gonna miss now as well!

Otherwise it's...unfair. No man!

Nooo, leave my shoes! Tie him up!

Here guys! Your shoes, your shoes!

So guys, that were the Sky Stalker challenges. Please write in the comments what shoe you prefer! And also, we need a winner for our raffle. Lukas has to give away his X 17.1.

What you have to do for that...oh Lukas really doesn't want to give away his shoes...but you have to!

Please write in the comments what shoe you like the most and don't forget your Instagram name so we can contact you. I hope you liked it...

*whispers* Don't forget to like the video...

Don't forget to like! That'd be great. Stay active and see you next time! Bye!

Sahara: Netflix Original [Scribble Kibble #89] - Duration: 7:12.

Scribble Kibble is a show about animation.

Last month I went through Netflix's animation category and added every movie I thought looked

interesting that I hadn't seen.

Then I took the whole list and looked for what I thought was the weakest movie and I

watched it.

Sahara is so bland that about 15 minutes in I was considering calling it quits, and me,

I'll suffer through just about any movie or book I start.

Sahara is bad, but not bad like animation quality bad, bad as in the movie has no idea

who it's for or what it's about.

And it's not even terrible enough to be entertaining.

It's a soulless desert of mediocrity.

Supposedly Sahara is for kids, but the movie begins with one of the main characters getting

beaten with a rock until he blacks out, the other main character spends most of her time

as a slave trying to keep her distance from a lecherous male snake, and her brother is

a drug addict with a voice that makes you want to strangle him.

Despite these teen topics, the movie has no adult humor or sensibility to it at all, making

it incredibly boring for parents.

On top of that, the film has no main theme or lessons.

It's about blue snakes versus green snakes, er, poverty versus prosperity, no, wait, it's

about police brutality, oh just kidding it's a love-at-first-sight Romeo Juliet story.

Ohh, it's an adventure story.

No wait, it's about slavery.

Friendship?

Alright.

I have no idea what this movie is about.

After it ends you come away with nothing.

So here's this cliché-ridden, rambling plotline, and suddenly, out of nowhere, a

fantastic scene slams into your face.

What this is even doing here, I have no idea, but it's absolutely amazing and I love it.

This particular sequence is by a couple of artists separate from the main animation crew

and wow, is it stuffed with psychedelic trippy symbolism, from the Garden of Eden to loss

of personal identity.

At first glance, the animation looks to be 2D.

It starts with painted 2D illustrations.

The swirling snakeskin pattern in the background is 2D art doused with blur and color effects.

You can actually see the pattern when it shows up again here in blue.

The waveforms that come next are hand animated, probably with a wave warp special effect added

on to them.

But it's here, at the frame-by-frame paint splashes where things get interesting because

those animations are mapped onto a 3D environment, which turns out to be this snake.

The top of the snake has an animated texture masked on to it.

What mask means is the animators take this flat shape and tell the artwork or video clip

to only show in that area.

I can't figure out if the green snake is hand drawn or if it is the same 3D model from

the movie with different lighting settings to make it look 2D.

The accuracy of the head shape and body pattern suggests it's 3D.

Technically you can accomplish the same thing by animating a still painting (here's an

animated painting), by rotoscoping / drawing on top of a raw 3D animation, or by being

a perfectionist at staying on model when drawing the character.

The fully detailed snakes are probably 3D though.

But wow, what a great section full of color and texture and art.

It's the oasis in this desert of a movie.

I daresay there's another thing I enjoyed about Sahara, and that's the snake dancing.

I could've watched an entire movie about snakes dancing.

As an animator, the nice thing about snakes is the character bones are relatively straightfoward:

you don't have to worry about hands and arms and legs, all you need to do is animate

curves.

It's entertaining to watch these simple shapes do intricate break dance moves.

I wish there'd been more of it.

Heheh.

A musical dance movie with snakes.

That's totally ridiculous, never mind.

What I'm trying to do is reimagine this movie.

This is an exercise you can do to get better at writing stories.

Take a movie or book you didn't like, figure out what about it is good and should be kept,

and what was bad that you would change to make it work.

Sahara has strong character designs and character animation.

It has many potentially interesting themes, but it never spends more than ten minutes

on any one of them.

For a kids movie, I'd center the story around dancing, get rid of the romance, and pick

a lesson.

How about: if you work hard and practice, sometimes you'll still lose.

For a teen movie, I really like this idea of being forced to adjust to a new reality.

Spend the first part of the movie with these two characters already together and in love.

Then, sudden disaster and we never see blue snake again.

Green snake learns to survive in a harsh world where failure ends in death.

Male green snake is supportive instead of arrogant so we like him as an audience.

These two bond and fall in love.

But then, surprise!

Blue snake rescues everybody and now she has to choose between the two!

Oh, what a painful choice!

Do I stay with the person who helped me survive, who faced all of these difficult choices with

me, or do I go with the person I once loved but I'm not sure I know anymore?

Hey, if you want to make a brutal, Hunger Games-level story, make all of the characters

humans, and the turning point is when the young woman is kidnapped and plunged into

the world of human trafficking.

She struggles to survive and bonds with a young man who is a victim too.

After a few years her fiancé rescues her with the help of the authorities.

But by then… is she the same person anymore?

There's a good story.

C'mon, there's a good story in this movie: give it to me!

So I'd like to know, what bad movie did you watch recently, and what would you do

to fix it?

Comment below!

During the Here's The Plan episode, I asked what your plans were.

Here are some of your responses.

A Very Mitu Christmas | Office Party Brainstorm | mitú - Duration: 7:29.

- [Narrator] Missing her family back at home,

Laura decides to throw a Venezuelan Thanksgiving dinner

for her Mitú co-workers.

(screams)

But her Venezuelan dishes were not that well received

by her Mitú familia.

- Hallacas!

(groups exclaims)

- Alberto's hot sauce.

- [Narrator] Wanting to compete with Joey,

Andrew decides to try a little hot sauce on his hallacas.

- It's so hot.

- You just dabbed it.

- [Narrator] But turns out, he's allergic to hot sauce,

can you believe that?

(coughs)

- [Group] Hey!

- [Man] There we go.

(screams)

- [Narrator] In the end, Laura's Mitú co-workers

made a Yelp page reviewing her friendsgiving effort.

In this episode, Laura finds out and, well,

let's just say she's not too happy about that.

- Oops, hey I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sorry guys.

- Stop, man!

- Oh, sorry, I'm still learning this, sorry.

- Has to host a Christmas party.

- Let's hope it's not Laura!

(laughs)

- I'm down.

- You almost died!

- I did, look at me.

- You almost died, here she comes.

- Who's coming?

- [Man] Stop! Who's coming!?

- Don't yell, don't make it obvious!

- What's happening?

- You graded my friendsgiving on Yelp?

(light orchestral music)

- Laura is that you?

- I'm here!

- Oh, hey, girl! Hey!

- [Group] Hey!

- One star, Joey, really?

- When I was a little boy, I grew up...

- You're not even typing.

- Okay.

(grunts)

- Emma, hashtag #worstfriendsgiving?

- I did not type that, that was not me.

- It's your picture!

- And you, mama Rosa.

- Yo que?

Me no do nothing!

- No you did the worst one, you did a whole vlog review!

- Oh yeah, I saw that.

- It got a lot of views.

- Andrew?

- Huh?

- What did you really think about my friendsgiving?

(stuttering)

I'm still recovering from it.

(laughs)

(cries)

um, sometimes I have a hard time

controlling my bowel movements

and I wake up in the middle of the night...

- Say something good!

- But good effort.

- Yeah.

- [Andrew] It was a really good effort.

- Really?

- It was, memorable.

- [Group] Memorable.

- That's a great description of your party,

it was very memorable.

- To be remembered.

- It will not be forgotten.

- I will never forget it.

- Nope.

- Thank you guys, that really means a lot, it really does.

I thought you guys really hated it.

(group laughs)

- Okay, are you ready guys?

- What is this?

- It's a rosca de reyes.

It's a piece of cake, and inside,

whoever chews up the little baby Jesus

has to throw the Christmas party.

- You have to eat baby Jesus?

- Tradition.

- Don't even worry about it.

- [Laura] Okay.

- It's really good, though.

- It's supposed to be really good.

- [Joey] You ate half of it already.

- [Andrew] I'm very hungry.

- [Joey] You can't even eat right.

- [Andrew] I know, it hurts to chew.

- Damn, I didn't get the baby.

- [Andrew] Yeah, me neither.

I think you're supposed to get it immediately

once you bite into it the first time, or else it's not...

- [Joey] Anybody have the baby?

- [Andrew] Who go the baby?

- [Group] Not yet.

(shouting)

- [Group] No!

(beeping)

- [Laura] Andrew?

- Are you kidding me?

- [Laura] Are you guys serious?

- Laura, you know, like two seconds ago

we said your party was memorable?

- Yeah.

- They kind of lied.

- [Laura] Joey!

- Laura, it's a Christmas party, we need this to be good,

like we're all looking forward to this!

Like, the person that hosts the Christmas party

has to be good at hosting.

- All I wanted to do was to bring

some Venezuelan culture here, and this is how you treat me?

As if I wanna host your stupid Christmas party

with your stupid baby Jesus!

God forgive me, do you think I fall asleep

dreaming about all the fun things we could do together

because I miss my family so much

that I want to be with you...

(high pitched squeaks)

(sobbing)

- That was close.

That was close!

- Hey, homie, chill!

- Yeah man, chill!

- I think all you guys messed up.

That's not what the holidays are about.

It's about family,

it's about love and respect for one another.

- He's right.

- I mean think about it,

hasn't she always been there when we needed her?

- She did give me views last month.

- [Woman] to a fun tinder date.

- Yeah, you've been terrible lately,

you haven't had any viral hits.

- Why do you gotta bring that up?

- Just saying.

- Hasn't she always been there to cheer us up?

- Oh, Laura's Corner's my favorite show,

I watch it every week!

(guita music)

- Full disclosure, this story is very weird.

So, I like my cousin.

What?

- That's my favorite episode!

- So what are we gonna do now though?

- I don't know, but we need to find a way

to make it up to her.

- Hello?

- [Man] Hey babe, how you doing?

- Babe!

(sobbing)

I miss you so much!

- [Man] I miss you too.

(phone dings)

- Are you swiping?

- [Man] Huh?

- Are you on Tinder?

- [Man] What? No!

(sobbing)

- [Man] Baby, I can explain.

Hello? Hello?

Hello!

- What are we supposed to do,

fly her family from like Florida or Latin America?

- Oh gosh, that sounds expensive.

- I'm broke!

- Well, I mean, you're, yeah.

- You know what, check this out.

I make candy cane roses for Christmas every year

and maybe I could sell them for a fundraiser or something.

- You straight up just had those with you?

- Yeah I make them.

- Don't include me,

I have better things to do than make tamales.

- Maybe I could call some of the homies up

and we could go door to door

Christmas caroling or something.

- Yep, nothing terrifying about that.

- I got a great idea.

- I could be a Puerto Rican Santa,

like the Salvation Army Santas

and sell mofongo and coquito

and give kids Puerto Rican candies.

- Could work.

- But I bought my Mexican Santa outfit already.

- (laughs) Joey don't be ridiculous.

There's no such thing as a Mexican Santa.

(mariachi music)

- He's right amigos, nobody believes anymore.

- So, what, we're really going to band together

and save Christmas for Laura?

- I'm down.

- Let's do it.

- [Narrator] So, our brave Mitú crew

set out on a journey and tried to save Christmas

for our little Laura.

But is it too late?

- [Group] For Laura!

- Oh sorry, sorry!

Somebody get the door, I'm broken.

MÓWimy muzyką vol. 3 - Oka błysk - Duration: 4:25.

The only time when my eyes twinkle is when I cry…

Well...

My story is about the pain.

An immense pain of existence.

Depression is a condition

you cannot escape.

Depression is simply a black hole,

mud you drown in

and try to wrench out of…

and then you eat, and think that it's over, it's over,

it's fine and you are dry.

But then things turn to crap and you drown anyway.

These are just these sort of waves…

It finally seems okay, it's fine,

Today I'm feeling great.

Maybe tomorrow will be similar.

But really you're never ready for another wave.

And it's like a motivator:

see, today it's good,

tomorrow may be worse,

but today is good, right?

It's alright.

You have to enjoy it.

These are like shields.

That in those rough moments

I know what will bring me pleasure.

IN N OUT MUKBANG (EATING SHOW) | CAR MUKBANG | KEILA KETO - Duration: 18:11.

you guys I just picked up some in and out I'm so hungry I think I'm gonna do a

karmic bong I've only done like this once so let me know in the comments down

below if you guys do like karmic bonds because that means I would be able to do

a lot more about funds for you guys because I do eat on the go here in LA so

it's nothing to just whip my camera hi guys it's Keila I am back with another

video we are somewhere a little bit different I have some in and out for you

guys I found a well-lit area at like late at and height which is so hard

I'm actually like at a liquor store so don't tell anyone but I wanted to do a

karmic bond because I actually kind of like watching comic phones so if you

guys are interested in me doing more I would be able to do a lot more muffins

for you just give me a like or comment down below that you don't mind

karma bungs so I know that I can start making them but I have in and out I got

two cheeseburgers because yarn you know I save all my calories well not oh I did

have breakfast but I did save my lunch calories and my dinner calories for two

regular cheeseburgers I didn't get double doubles I just have this spread

as well

so awkward someone's like right there watching me but hey we're just gonna go

with it hmm I know I'm gonna in and out in forever

I gotta take a break from in-n-out guys I was on it for like too much straight

or had to calm down I was like eating a like every other day it was a problem

there was actually an homeless man behind me and I can tell a lot of people

you know kind didn't want to associate with him and my first thought is you

know act like you don't see him and you know order your food and get out of

there he was really nice he had a lot of jokes

sometimes people just need to talk to someone which is obviously why I do

YouTube sometimes I'm I just need to talk to people and you guys talk to me

so so I figured I could be the one person to talk to him for that day

mm-hmm and this was worth the wait I think I waited a good 15 minutes I was

in line for like five or ten like no I was in line for like ten minutes

I always forget to show you guys but I

also forgot I have the peppers the peppers are back the peppers have not

left since I first discovered them I'll link the last mukbang I did for in and

out and that was when I first tried the peppers and I've been hooked ever since

so they're really spicy though so if you guys don't like spice

do not try it

so I really don't have much to talk about today so I figured I just talk

about my life what's going on what's been going on I shot a water cup I loved

and out they always come through with the big water cups here so you guys can

see it you know you can't really see it

I'm so weird people are walking like right past me I think that's why I like

karmic bonds because everyone can see that's why I appreciate people doing

karmic bonds because it's like like the real world sees you doing this so I took

the leap of faith and I was like you know and it out is really usually only

good fresh fresh it sounds like it's only fitting that this would be my

karmic bond my first real official one

mmm I actually tried to do a karmic bond for anything out a couple months ago but

I didn't like the quality of it so I didn't like how I was in it I think I

was like at that point I was still really new on doing mukbang so I was

like self-conscious and nervous I think I still have that footage though funny

the thing about lettuce wrap or protein stylish they're so messy but this one I

managed to do pretty well so now I know liquor stores are perfect but they're

always lit at night

so about me today really exciting I was looking at apartments we are trying to

move out by the end of the month so by January 1st we need to me want to be in

a new apartment the apartment I have now it's so beautiful I love it but it's

just not in my price range right now actually it's in my price range but I'm

trying to UM go part-time at my job so

getting an apartment that's a little bit cheaper

well me to go part-time on my job and then hopefully I can do more YouTube

stuff all in a slowly transition to do more YouTube so in order to do that I

gotta let go of my dream apartment in LA

just assembling my pepper so it's easy for me to grab someone said that it

wasn't the seeds that made this spicy what makes these so spicy I don't want

to know is it the membrane I think I might be the membrane there's another

look and this part has some of the sauce

mmm I'm going to do another time not just in

case that one didn't look good literally someone just parked next to me so

awkward alright he was listening to Adele - I kind of like that alright

I don't think you guys saw that at all

but we're gonna go with it

yes I've been running around all day looking at apartments the first one I

found I'm completely in love with it's in my price range the community and the

surrounding areas seems like a great area that's the thing

about LA so many deciding factors it's a little bit far but farther from my job

but it's significantly cheaper and then the place that I'm at now so I

definitely don't mind taking the commute

I love in and out there's got it's annoying waiting but when you eat it

you're like no no I waited no I see why

comment below if you don't have an Internet near you or if you never tried

and no my first time trying it out I was I think 14 I came to visit California

when I was 14 because I was that - even I was like I'm moving to California for

college and I'm gonna go and just be a star hmm flashback to memories ended up

not coming here for college because I missed all the deadlines because

California has all their deadlines really really early for college not

really early but just like I wasn't in the right capacity to like fill out

applications at that time

so I went to Florida mmm I know so bad guys do you guys believe in New Year's

resolutions some people are you know they don't some people do I'm a believer

of like I believe in New Year's resolutions cuz I know sometimes people

need that kick but I think if you have that feeling of wanting to you know get

your life in order before the new year you could you there should be no reason

why you shouldn't go ahead and start it

same with after if you don't feel it until February March April whenever you

feel it that's when you need to act I did do karna New Year's resolutions my

two main ones was I wanted to hit 10k on YouTube and I wanted to lose 50 pounds

and I'm happy to say that I did both of those things this year it was a lot of

hard work

but so worth it so if you hear that type of person that

does New Year's resolutions and you are

waiting to the New Year go for it plan out the things that you want to do

in life and start every single day be the person that needs to start whenever

you fill it and you're filling it right now but you're trying to hold off into

the new year there's no point on holding off you need

to just go ahead and start doing it I knew I wanted to lose weight back in

November I actually just November December like

when I first started this channel and that's one of the reasons why I started

this channel I was like well I'll just do my cheat meals here this was before I

even thought about doing keto I was like I'll just do my cheat meals on here to

hold myself accountable so I won't you know cheat

whenever gave him the temptation so that actually did work for I'm the first like

two months so like December January and then February's when I started keto so

December and January I still was able to lose like 1015 pounds just by

specifically you know having my mukbang be my cheat meal for that week or that

moment so

I but I knew I wanted to lose weight back in November the old me would have

just waited into the new year and be like you know new year and then I'll

just tackle everything ahead front but it was a slow process for this weight

loss guys in the beginning I didn't I didn't change my diet at all though I

just consciously portioned out my food I still ate whatever I wanted if I wanted

chick-fil-a I had chick-fil-a but I did make sure to you know not take some of

the fries from my sister's plate because she didn't finish it because I was known

for like just being like if you didn't finish it I'll eat it for you which in

the moment it doesn't seem like a big deal and in my eyes it wasn't but doing

that repeatedly it just caused me to gain so much weight so it started with

portion control and then I realized you know I do want a diet that I can stick

with that I know will allow me to lose weight easily and I found keto and keto

has been amazing for me and then I just recently like it's been a almost a year

like it's been like nine or ten months and I just recently added working out

and I'm gonna be adding working out videos to my channel I told myself more

accountable and making sure that I stick with it because I realized that this

channel has you know allowed me to really truly be me and I want that to be

fitness and health so I'm going to do it for myself as a beginner so if you guys

are interested and those are the videos definitely let me know comment down

below that you want to see them the types of videos of workout videos that

you want to see or fitness videos fitness related videos I'm going to do

an insane point of being a beginner so if you are a beginner also and want

someone to look at as you know and okay to do some of the things that you feel

like you can't do because I'm I'm gonna try to be

I'm gonna try some a couple of different workouts that seem a little challenging

and then you know it's all about my modifications you know I'm not gonna be

a fitness guru like probably ever but I do want to have more of an active life

so in order to do that I need to kick

awkward I need to kick it into gear and I need to make it a point to add working

out into my regiment and the only way that I can see doing that is adding it

into my youtube channel because my youtube is my baby so if I schedule it

in that I have to film a workout video for youtube then I'm more likely to do

it which is never a bad thing so that was actually kind of a short buck long

but I ended up just talking for the last half of it let me know if you stuck to

the end and watched everything I want to know if I want to see who holds a rider

who's a real one I'll see you guys in the next one as always before you click

out of this though let me know if you do like karma bungs it honestly would make

things so easy for me I would be able to get more videos out I don't know if I

would be able to like show the food I can try to like have it up here or like

I don't know we'll figure it out if you guys don't mind cart my thong let you

know I'll add them into the channel just integrated on and I'll still be doing my

songs at home where you can see the food and everything but yeah that's it I am

gonna go ahead and go and I'll see you guys on the next one

Today we are going to show how to make the tunisian yoyo; a very delicious homemade biscuit

we need a small cup of oil some mik about two and a half spoons of milk concerning the vanilla sugar I use 3 packets to avoid the smell of eggs

You can use only one packet. vanilla sugar doesn t have a big effect it only improves the taste

a small coffee cup full of sugar we shouldn t forget the baking powder we need a half packet

If you need more you have to double the quantity of each ingredient

we also add a half packet of flour, about 500 grams

You dont need toomuch needing you simply mix the ingredients well

put some oil in the pan and heat it on medium fire

Ihave also prepared my thick sugar syrup you can see one of my videos for the details

Itry to put a bit of oil in a plate so my paste won t stick

Iam going to use the traditional way to make my yoyo as you can see on the video

Then I start to fry my yoyo the oill shouldn t be very hot so they won t burn

my yoyo will look bright and delicious if they are cold enough when put in cold sugar syrup

we just turn them upside down in the syrup and they shouldn t be kept for a long time

delicious yoyo must be crusty when put in cold syrup

Here we are this is my plate full of delicious yoyo

It is nicely cooked from inside

This is the traditinal way of making the delicious tunisian yoyo have a nice appetite

Get Ready With Me Holiday Party 2017 | Vampy Glam - Duration: 9:36.

hey it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel, for today's video I've teamed up with

Revlon to show you this vintage inspired holiday look. I kept it really classic on

the eyes with a cat eye shape we want a bit more glam on the lips and it's

slightly vampy and then lots of volume to the hair to keep the retro vibe so I

hope you guys enjoy today's look and I'm using some of the new COLORSTAY

collection from Revlon because they've recently expanded their COLORSTAY line

and the products are really new and innovative, I have some of them right

here but what's really cool is the eye liner so stay tuned and these would also

be great gifts and stocking stuffers, for your friends if you are looking to buy

some new drugstore makeup so I hope you enjoy and let's get started with this

Revlon holiday look

I'm starting by applying Revlon PHOTOREADY perfecting

primer all over the skin I love how this makes my skin feel, it's baby soft and my

favorite foundation range of from Revlon is the PHOTOREADY collection so that's

what I'm using today for a picture-perfect look and it's always

important to prep the lips so go in with your favorite lip balm this one is

Revlon Kiss and it's actually a lip scrub in sugar mint, tastes pretty good too!

add a sheer layer of Revlon PHOTOREADY airbrush effect foundation to the skin I

forgot how much I love this foundation I applied a quite a small amount and it

looks so fresh on the face and we are going to highlight with Revlon COLORSTAY

concealer in the lightest shade apply as always under the eyes of the cheekbones

nose chin jawline and forehead

I love Revlon insta blushes this one is the perfect natural glowing pink and

I've applied this to the apple of the cheeks and up the cheekbones

since the lip and eyes are going to be on the bold side I'm gonna keep the skin

and matte with Revlon PHOTOREADY powder and to help give dimension to the skin

one more time I'm using the Revlon PHOTOREADY powder in medium deep

I went pretty light for me with contouring here in comparison to my last

tutorial and for brows we have some new Revlon products to try out

I want my brows defined but not too overpowering so I'm starting with the

new Revlon COLORSTAY brow kit this has a unique wet / dry formula meaning you can

use the long wearing powder dry for subtle defined brows or wet for

dramatically defined brow so I'm starting with the dry powder to fill in the

sparse areas in my brows, I've dampened up the brush and I'm starting to sharpen

up the shape finally you can set with the light weight conditioning wax to set

the color in place or you can go in with this next product, so this is more for if

you have a quite full brows already and are looking to quickly groom and set and

this is called the Revlon COLORSTAY brow mousse so here's what the formula

looks like but you just want a tiny amount to tint the brow and I wanted to

demo this Auburn shade because I think it's awesome that they have one for

reddish hair

for shadows I've picked out this Revlon COLORSTAY palette and this eyeshadow

look is really quick we're just going to use two shades starting with a light

base all over the lid, inner corner and the brow bone and then with the richer a

maroon shadow we're going to use this in the crease for soft definition and

I'm using all Revlon brushes as well

again with this deeper shade fade this from underneath the lash line and to

help guide where our liner will go into the crease sharpen up the line with

shadow and its liner time so here's where I'm going to experiment and have

fun with this look this is the new Revlon COLORSTAY Exactify liquid liner

and it comes in four shades, we have intense black, mermaid blue, sparkling

black and mulberry I'm using mulberry to add sparkle and a fun cat eye so check

this out... I've never tried a liner like this before it has an easy to use exactify

wheel tip and a comfortable handle to help give control so let's give it a

go, I'm starting by adding in the mulberry shade along the crease and then

edging along the tail and an upward wing and working to connect those two

together and into the lash line and boom we got the liner down this is a

waterproof fade-proof and wears up to 24 hours because this liner is so unique

with the applicator I practice on the weekend before trying to use it in a

rush before you go to school or work get the hang of it and then it's super easy

to pull together a wing or like a small line the main tips are to shake before

using, not use a lot of pressure and just let the rollerball do the work and I

especially like this liner for a really quick line on the upper lash line it

makes it so easy my sister used it she loved it too

little Mega Multiplier mascara and here's the eye look without lashes

and more drama to the eyes with Revlon matte kajal liner and fig in the inner

and outer corner next lips this really pulls the whole look together I think,

first line with a deeper liner this one is Revlon COLORSTAY in the shade

chocolate and we've got another new launch so this is Revlon Super Lustrous

lipstick from their Street chic collection you guys know how much I love

Revlon lipsticks I've been using them for years and we get a really smooth and

rich super lustrous formula these are infused with mega moisturizers and ultra

light essential oils to keep your lips looking healthy and hydrated underneath

the glam so this is the shade Naughty Plum and this is inspired by Montreal

got a rep Canada and for my Canadian girls stay tuned to the end of this

video because you can have a chance to win these awesome products from Revlon!

another option is to add a glossy finish this is Revlon Kiss plumping lip cream

in a similar plummy shade if you really want to go more Hollywood glam bring in

a pair of flirty falsies or if you want to keep it more wearable but still want

some more volume at a couple individuals

finally if you want a little highlight I love the Revlon highlighting palette so

give that a sweep over the skin and here's my complete holiday sparkle look!

can't forget the nails... I've worn this gorgeous silvery shade throughout this

tutorial and it's from the new Revlon nail Enamel Holochrome collection

giving a metallic finish that's super eye-catching I have completed this look

with a quick and easy hairstyle that has some retro flair to it... just pick up a

top section of your hair and start teasing by bringing the hair forwards

and then back combing in layers this doesn't have to be perfect because we

will be brushing it all out backwards anyways, then once it's smoothed out

take a black small headband and you want it to comb through the front portion of

your hair so you get a more of a sleek look and then at the pouf at the back

pops a little bit more I'm just fixing it up and you can totally leave your

hair straight or natural over one shoulder but I'm gonna add some curls

and also a couple bobby pins to keep it over the shoulder and Bobby pinning it

this in place will also keep the volume and a slight rounded shape you could

finish off with a braid a ponytail or some loose curls I'm using a 25 by 25

millimeter wand and I'm curling some away from my face and then some pieces

towards give him a hair a brush through for a polished look a little bit of

hairspray I completed the whole style with an off-the-shoulder sweater dress

little pearl earrings and this is my classic party look that is still trendy

with unique eyeliner shape bold lip and metallic nails so thumbs up if you like

this classic look

thanks for watching I hope you guys enjoy today's like glam look and if you

did make sure you hit that thumbs up button and subscribe for more beauty

videos every week thanks again to Revlon for partnering with me on today's video

I really love how this look turned out and now I actually have a contest for my

Canadian Revlon babes - you can enter for one of three chances to win at

Revlon latest and greatest including new Colorstay launches like I used by

with lights and sounds looks like the batteries might need replacing well

anyways let's check out the back awesome so here it gives all of the different

options it says lights and sounds working searchlight drop-down shark cage

revolving barrel door flipped on door realistic control panel and aquarium Wow

and then here is some cool information on the art god or the killer whale so

this includes the Sealab lights on shark cage aquarium lab control panel large

Orca figure and accessories who came in our wallet purposes here is

to wipe off all the sharks that we could make as much money as we could retire

rich and who cares he'll be earn let's do it but I tell you dinner wife will

fly the way will paid for killing all those animals I am sick of you always

putting me down yeah okay guys everybody in the lab

okay in the shark day come gonna make some serious bucks

okay lift the cage I'm all set

when the Sharks come close I just get it with my speargun

what's coming lotta money off of that one supposes Soros baby Moses or

something

it's closer I'm gonna get it with my speargun

going down we're gonna make a fortune off of this guy hey guys I got a big one

I get a big one we are gonna get seriously rich we are going seriously

this is Tim's last-known coordinates a world is going on

there's the Mosasaurus Wow

guys Tim's gone I have no idea where he is

must be something big if it ripped open a cage like that was be something

I told you life will find a way what that's all you ever say rightful find

away ix will find the way life will find always life will find the way look fou

find a way oh you make me crazy Oh what was that

biggest thing with teeth I've ever seen that's looking right at us straight to

get in here I'm gonna get out of here

okay hi Ann you are on your own I fly the way for you I'm kidding

the coast is clear okay ninety hahaha gonna be the only one that escapes I'm

gonna be the only one the kids out here

I get the feeling of being tracked Oh No

wife has definitely found the way I'm not dumb enough to go out there the way

I'm staying in here till it's safe

can i phone away I'm the only survivor hahahahaha it's time to celebrate

yeah yeah you know finding life

yeah yeah like for fun away life okay and this is what's in the box before I

remove anything have your divers stand up there I'm just really surprised this

only came a warm character usually these bigger Animal Planet sets will come with

more than warm care and then let's go ahead and take a look at the lab from

the inside so here you've got this this would almost be some type of maybe a

periscope or something so you could have your diver stand here and just move that

thing around to see what's outside here is where your shark cage would go back

once it's returned okay okay so let's go ahead and check out this big Animal

Planet underwater lab we're gonna start here

this thing on top it has like a grabbing arm and it has like a screwdriver bit on

that side but it does make noise let's listen to some of the Psalms that it

does if you push this button and it has lights also

okay and then let's go ahead and check out some of the other options on the lab

so we're gonna go ahead and start here with do Shark doors if you open the

shark door here you see there's a tank inside which you could put your diver in

and when your diver is ready to go you'll have like a handle like pull the

whole cage out of there your diver is inside the cage you could

go ahead and free him the diver comes with a bunch of accessories he's got

like a knife and some type of like I don't know what this is to grab fish

maybe to shock them he's got flippers she's got a mask scuba tank and then he

also comes with flashlights binoculars camera another flashlight this looks

like some dynamite or something okay so anyways ah once that pop dot you

could put this on as a top also actually no you know what that top does go on

here so you would put the cage sir you'd put the cage in there and then you'd put

this on top of the cage I believe so yeah maybe not okay so maybe you once

the cages out then you go ahead and you put that in there and then this also

does flip open me and I don't know there's not much room there to pour much

of anything so we're gonna go ahead finish taking a look at the outside then

we will go inside so this you have a big clear window here you can see there's

some type of instrument panel behind here here you got opening the door

opening doors so you could open the door here you can put your diver in here

which now he does fit even with all his accessories and then you just simply go

ahead turn the door and your diver is in the lab the lab is sealed off from the

outside and then here you've got like a salt blade and a drill blade on this one

here then you've got big like bubbles to like go that you could look out from

inside the cage you got this thing here that opens up you got like a platform

here that your diver could stand on so it just simply fits back in there there

is where your diver will come in from the outside it will turn let the diver

end and pump the water back out here you've got like a computer platform here

and then you have an extra computer here which you could set up maybe in front of

that or off to the side just simply wherever you want oh you know I bet you

this thing goes in so then once you get that in there got

nice graphics up there and ah let me show you what else is here and then the

whole playset does close up so you got a couple fish these Animal Planet's are

great sets are great because they have so many stuff but they are kind of

fragile so I mean I probably wouldn't recommend it to any kids that are too

young I believe they say at least 5 years old

on the package which you know I probably would follow those recommendations and

then this set simply goes ahead locks together and you could go ahead and keep

everything inside so it doesn't get lost and carry it around with you so it

doesn't really have a carrying handle but you have a little flap here which

you can use to fold it so it is a cool set I mean I do like the lights and

sounds and everything and then on top of that it does come with the two fish I

showed you earlier and an orca so a killer whale this set does have a

nice big killer whale I did have this same killer whale in a submarine set

from Animal Planet so if you go ahead I'll wait till the video ends I got an

Animal Planet playlist there ah there's a cool submarine too which actually I

think I like the submarine this so it was pretty cool and then our

big teeth big tongue on this guy the action feature here you pull the pin it

does open and close this mouth very cool texture you can see like all the

different areas where it was injured so this is definitely battle scars or

something so this guy has been around okay so that is the full set guys so it

is a cool fun set it would have been nice if they would have included two

characters with the set and other than that maybe a shark or something would be

kind of cool because it does include a shark cage so I mean maybe the shark

cage is to protect you from the killer whale okay Wow cool set guys

Wow guys that was a lot of fun if you enjoyed this video and you want to see

Letters to an Asexual #53 (Homophobia & Transphobia in the Ace Community) - Duration: 24:09.

Hey folks, it's swankivy, with another Letters to an Asexual, I think this is number 53.

I didn't check, so if I'm wrong, sorry.

I would like to talk about something that really upsets me and that is homophobia and

transphobia in the ace community.

Let me start off with a little bit of background.

Um, so, on very rare occasions, I feel like this, this happens when people take words

out of context, or they just don't understand what they're reading, um, but there have been

a few times where people who are some form of LGB, or uh, well I haven't really gotten

this from trans people, so I guess I'll just say people who are uh, lesbian or gay, or

uh, really it's just lesbian or gay I think.

Um, that I've had them give me sort of some, uh, oblique criticism suggesting that my book

or my works are homophobic or something like that, and every time that I can trace back

what these people said, uh, why they said that about me, it was always either something

that they seem to have deliberately taken out of context, to look like I was saying

pretty much the opposite of what I was saying, or they just um, led it to a completely different

conclusion of what I was saying.

You know, such as a time where I talked about how it isn't really fair that, say, um, straight

women are getting AIDS at a faster, more plentiful rate than uh, than lesbians do, and yet, if

you're a lesbian you can still be, um, looked at as if, if you have AIDS, it's because it's

a "gay disease," you know, even though lesbians have it less often than straight women do.

And you know, I was talking about this and I was talking about how if um, you've lost

someone to AIDS and you have, you know, you have no um, association with the LGBT community

yourself, but you've lost somebody in your family or some close friend of yours to AIDS,

you know, you, you can get, you can get really frustrated by um, the way that that, "Oh,

we have, we have AIDS in our community, so how dare you say that you know what it's like

to lose someone to AIDS if you've never lost someone to AIDS," you know, like, I have lost

an uncle to AIDS and you know, it wasn't, I'm not, I'm not gay, I'm not a lesbian, but

um, you know, I do know what it's like to lose someone in your family to AIDS.

So you know, I, I kind of get irritated when people kinda use that, they weaponize, like,

"you don't know the pain of, you know, AIDS affecting your community if you're not LGB,"

and I'm just thinking, there, there are definitely other ways.

BUT.

In that same conversation, I said, despite that, despite the fact that you can, you can

have this happen to you in your life, um, that doesn't mean that, uh, your community

or uh, you know, you as a person know what it's like to have this kind of stigma against

your community, like I was basically saying that they're RIGHT that there's this stigma

that AIDS is a "gay disease" and that it's some kind of just punishment from God or something,

like these horrible things people believe about AIDS, so I mean, regardless of, you

know, the fact that I don't have to be gay to know what it's like to lose someone to

AIDS, I'm never gonna use that as a weapon the way that I've seen some people do.

You know, and because I was trying to have this nuanced conversation with someone who,

you know, wasn't paying attention to what I was actually saying, you know, they were,

they were trying to make it seem like I was saying the opposite of what I was saying,

which is, you know, that oh, I, I uh, my pain is worse than your pain because I've actually

lost someone to AIDS, therefore I know what it's like to be marginalized that way, or

to um, personally uh, be uh, labeled as having this association with a terrible disease.

And you know--okay, this is getting kind of convoluted, but anyway, I've, I've had these,

this, this kind of conversation with people who come out on the other side saying "Well

you said something homophobic."

And you know, even though I don't believe that uh, you know, anything that I'm saying

is rooted in homophobia, um, and I don't believe that everything that people have suggested

that I, you know, that I've said, that they, if, if they're saying it's a homophobic statement,

it means that they really did not understand what I was saying.

Um, you know, because one of the most important things to me in my activism is that I don't

throw anybody else under the bus, and I'm generally very careful about that.

And um, because I know I'm not perfect and because I know that my words don't necessarily

come across the way that I want them to, for especially, for my publications, including

my book, I always had sensitivity readers, I had people from the groups that I was talking

about trying to read this stuff and making sure that it did, it came across the way that

I intended.

Um, and you know, again, even if you do something like that, it doesn't mean that um, you're

never gonna make a mistake or you're, you have, you have like, the gay community has

signed off on you and you can't possibly be saying anything homophobic.

I know that that is, uh, you know, that's not the case.

But, you know, I don't, I don't believe that any of the things that I've, uh, that I've

said on the record uh, are actually homophobic, if you read what I said.

On the other hand, um, I have seen some folks in um, mostly in uh, lesbian and gay circles,

try to say that um, if you ever claim that a lesbian or a gay person uh, is being acephobic,

or could possibly do that to ace people, then you're being homophobic because like, how

dare you suggest as uh, as an asexual person, that they could possibly oppress anyone if

they're an oppressed group.

And um, this gets really dicey, because a lot of what they, what they're getting offended

over is um, that they consider asexual people to be indistinguishable from heterosexual

people.

And that is, that right there is, is you know, it's an acephobic thing to say.

Um, but you know, they're, what they're doing is they're, they're framing it as if we, the

asexual people, um, even sometimes if we claim another LGB or T identity, they'll still say

well, whatever, you're a cishet, you don't, if you're asexual then you're cishet, and

there's nothing that you can say um, about that, that uh, that won't make us think of

you as part of that group.

You know, that's, I mean, that's a, that's a very frustrating perspective for us, but

it is absolutely true that it is possible for you to be part of a marginalized group

and still participate in othering, oppressing, or marginalizing someone else.

Um, with sexual diversity, with um, marginalized groups who are marginalized along a sexual

orientation-related um aspect of their identity, it can get very complicated to figure out

because, you know, some people are trying to say well are you more oppressed than him,

am I more oppressed than you, that's not what anybody who's having a meaningful conversation

about this is really trying to figure out.

Um, and I, you know, I just believe that there are some ways that asexual people and some

ways that non-ace LGBT people, uh, can experience marginalization and oppression that all of

it is rooted in um, these aspects of culture that normalize heterosexuality, the heteronormative

assumption is where all of it starts, but it can manifest to different degrees and in

different ways to both of our groups.

There are many ways in which those things overlap.

But they're not identical, especially you know, if, say, there's me as an aromantic

asexual person who, you know, I am gender-normative enough that I'm always taken as uh, the gender

that I feel I am, and you know, I don't, I, I, am, I'm not . . . what some people would

refer to as "visibly queer" to most people, like, there, there are some asexual people

who are not automatically assumed to be straight because of how they look or how they present

or who they associate with.

Me, I'm generally, you know, people look, people will look at me and assume "Oh, she's

probably a straight woman," those kind of people, you know, the people that um, go through

their lives kind of assuming everyone is straight until proven gay.

Um, so I don't, I don't personally deal with that.

I'm usually assumed straight by close-minded people, and um, because of that um, there's

a certain amount of privilege that comes with that.

And I'm completely on board with accepting that that is true in my case.

In some other people's cases it's not so true.

Um, but because of that, um, I could see why some people would say, well, you're more like

a cisgender straight person than you are a queer person.

Um, I disagree on, on what makes you actually be, um, a straight identity, because, somebody

else mistaking me for straight is not the same thing as me being straight, and experiencing

straight privilege the same way.

Um, maybe the same way as somebody who was um, assigned or designated male at birth but

is actually a trans woman, you know, they, they may be treated with so-called male privilege,

but it's not affecting the same way if internally, um, they're a woman.

So, you know, it's, it--it gets very, um, difficult to tease out what each thing is

likely to affect each person.

And we're all gonna be affected different ways based on just our internal makeup, our

socialization, our family, the amount of acceptance that happens in our community.

So, um, basically it's very hard to, to figure out, uh, exactly, you know, where is the overlap

with your societal expectations and how much is it really affecting us.

How much am I benefiting from somebody mistaking me for straight, in other words.

So um, anyway, to get back to kind of the flip side of this, which is what initially

made me really angry, made me wanna make this video, is that because of all of this sort

of thing that's going on, um, seeing acephobia come out of people should--who I feel should

know better--um, the flip side of that, which is ace people being homophobic or transphobic,

it makes me so angry.

Because, okay, I am, I, I'm an activist in this community, and I have a pretty good audience

of folks who will listen to what I say, so I hope that uh, you know, I have a little

bit more control over this, this particular, this community, in that I can get a message

out to you folks and let you know how much this matters.

You should know better than to be homophobic or transphobic.

And if you, if you ever think that it is a, that it is a good thing or that it is a helpful

thing to our community to say uh, to bring up AIDS as some kind of like just punishment

for um, "sexual people," if you ever equate disease or unwanted pregnancy or poverty or

promiscuity with lower morals and you associate those things with being trans or being gay

or being bi, being poly, being pansexual, any of these alternative forms from being,

from being what people think of the default, as, as straight and cisgender, like, if you,

if you ever use their sexuality or uh, what you perceive to be diseases or disorders or

consequences of their sexual behavior as being things that don't apply to us, and that you

can therefore be better than them, cleaner than them, purer than them, that is extremely

elitist, and it is not helpful to the legit--to the legitimacy of our community, and it is

hateful.

Now I don't care if you're only saying these things to straight people.

Don't say these things.

And also you need to accept that especially in the case of LGBTQ groups, they have been

demonized for their sexuality, um, forever.

Um, and when you say things that you think are, I don't know, things that are ace-positivity

but they're really sex-negativity, it's affecting LGBTQ people more strongly.

It's more hateful to say those things to them because of how consistently their sexual behavior

and their desires have been treated as if they're unnatural, treated as if they are

more animalistic, or make them less of a person, make them deserve fewer rights, oppress them

along religious lines, um, basically any kind of sex-related hatred that you can dish out

is going to be worse for LGBTQ people.

And um, in the case of when there's overlap, you see ace lesbians, you see ace gay guys,

you see trans ace people, who have to deal with it from inside their community and from

US.

And it's just . . . it's baffling to me that there are still people out there who don't

see the problem with this.

Who really think that it makes any sense to divide against LGBTQ people because there's

like this perception that, um, they're helping to oppress us, or that we're lower on the,

on the pole than they are, um, that you know, they still have some kind of sexual privilege

which to them is not generally a privilege.

Um, because of what, you know, what it turns around and does to them in a mainstream society,

um, you know, and again, I'm not gonna say it's not possible for somebody who's gay or

somebody who's trans to be acephobic, because it absolutely is, it's disgusting when it

happens, but in our community, we, we can, we can not sink to the levels of some of the

worst people.

Uh, I don't want us to think that we're helping ourselves by being sex-negative in ways that

can harm queer people, and I just don't even know what else to say, because I feel like

I shouldn't have to say "don't be transphobic," "don't be homophobic," but hopefully I've

given a little bit of clarification to why some of the things that I've seen our population

say are, are very bad in general but worse for LGBTQ people.

I mean, do you understand that saying these things is, is, is worse for them, toward them,

because of what they've been denied and because of what's at the root of what makes them a

marginalized population.

It's just . . . it's just . . . and I'll end on this, especially since almost every group

of people that calls itself queer, calls itself LGBTQ, calls itself any kind of rainbow-positivity

or, you know, inclusive queer group, has been so fantastic to me as an ace person, still

knowing that I wasn't trans, that I wasn't identifying as lesbian, you know, that they

were welcoming, they accepted and welcomed the education that I offered, they understood

where the overlaps are in our community, they understood how much value we can bring, how

much we can offer support, what kinds of unusual innovations and insights that we can have

that can help them navigate their intimacy and understand their pieces of society that

they, that they can put together and be part of, that we have something of value to offer

and I have felt more at home in those groups than I have among groups where I'm the only

person who's not straight.

Um, I've felt like they're more family than, you know, groups of cisgender heterosexual

people.

I mean, obviously most of my friends are uh, of that description, because uh, I don't,

I don't do a lot of uh, active, um, friend-gathering in queer spaces, but the places that I've

been invited into have been so wonderful for the most part.

And I've only had a few in-person isolated conversations with LGBTQ people that were

disappointing or scary.

Um, I've certainly had a lot more awful conversations in, you know, more typical, uh, groups as

far as sexuality and gender goes.

Like, you know, I'm not trying to demonize them, but you know, they just tend to be uh,

less aware of the stuff that affects us and uh, have less training and less experience

in uh, what might be insensitive to say, what might be really alienating, what might make

me feel unsafe, um, and uh, just operate by very normalized perceptions of what "everyone

does."

Uh, whereas the queer groups that I've gone to generally weren't like that.

Um, you know, nobody's perfect, but um, I've felt a lot safer in groups that are educated

on those uh, those issues, and I can see how much we have in common.

I can see how much we really need each other.

And I'm very tired of having conversations with people only to find out, like, this other

ace person that I thought had something in common with me is actually a homophobe or

is actually really insensitive about the ways that they're hurting other people.

And um, I really want you to pay attention to what you're saying, um, and you know, like

has happened with me because I guess my words are so widely s--widely read, and widely seen,

um, you know, it is possible that you could totally be saying something similar to the

kinds of things that I've said that's completely, you know, it's misconstrued and misunderstood,

but in every case that that's happened to me, where someone said, like, oh she's, she's

lesbophobic or something like that, you know, I'll listen to what they're having, what they're

saying, and I'll look at what they're quoting, and I'll say, is it possible that I did or

said something that was, uh, that was unintentionally hurtful, what can I do to do better?

Um, and um, ultimately like, everything that I'm talking about, you know, you, you go on

the person's blog and you see oh, they spend a lot of time attacking other groups or uh,

you know, hatefully calling asexual people "cishets."

Um, so you know, you gotta consider the source when you deal with people like that, you're

not automatically uh, a transphobe or a homophobe just because somebody says that you are, any

more than they're automatically an acephobe if we say that they are, but try to be aware.

Try to be understanding.

Try to be open to the possibility that something you're doing or saying could be um, having

an effect that you don't intend.

And I really hope you don't intend it.

And that you are, you're here in these spaces because you wanna make things better for all

of us, you understand what we have in common.

And you wanna dedicate yourself to at least not causing any more pain if not making it

better for everyone to the best of your ability.

So, I'm gonna end this one here, and um, I guess I'll see y'all next time.

Did I Stick To My 2017 New Year's Resolutions? The Moment of Truth! | Kate's Adventures - Duration: 8:45.

Hi everyone! It is December 2017.

I can't believe it, it feels like this year has flown by

and I think it's about time for me to look back at my 2017 New Year's resolutions

and see if I've managed to stick to them. I haven't really remembered what they were

so chances are I haven't stuck to them but maybe, maybe I have

maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. So I'm going to watch this video

and let you know how I've done this year. Here goes.

2016 is almost finished and that seems so crazy to me

because it feels like yesterday I was sitting down and talking about the things that I'd like to do in 2016.

So now it's time to make that same video for 2017, so here goes.

Here are the things that I would like to do in 2017.

I can't believe I've pretty much given this video the same intro as the video that I've just started filming now.

I don't mean to be repetitive, I haven't particularly scripted all these videos so they sound the same

but it's just a thought I seem to have at this time of year,

that the year has flown by and it seems like yesterday I was starting these resolutions.

The first thing I would like to do in 2017 is stop moaning about petty things.

"Stop moaning about petty things". I've probably moansed less about petty things this year.

I don't particularly measure it but considering I just moaned that my intro for this video

was pretty much the same as last year's, I'd say that's still moaning about petty things, so I'm not perfect!

Now this would be stop moaning altogether but I feel like moaning is therapeutic sometimes,

it can really help solve a problem but sometimes I find myself moaning about the most trivial things

and I think it's just because I'm bored. And deep down I know that I'm very lucky

and I'm very grateful for everything that I have so I should start verbalizing that

and verbalizing how grateful I am for things instead of sounding unappreciative.

I think what I'm trying to communicate here

is that sometimes I use moaning as an icebreaker in conversation.

If I'm speaking to somebody I've never spoken to before and it's really cold or the line we're in is incredibly long

then sometimes I would be like "Can you believe this? This has been going on forever"

and I don't think that's a really good first impression instead of saying something nice or being helpful.

I just don't think it's that good so hopefully I'm going to moan less in 2018

and hopefully I mooned less than 2017 than I did in 2016 because Past Kate is right, I am incredibly lucky

and I should probably say that more.

Obviously not in a bragging way but I should be more appreciative of things.

In 2017 I'd also like to watch 25 movies that I've never seen before.

Whenever I come to watch a movie I tend to pick my favorites,

but maybe it's time for me to find some new favorites.

There's so many movies out there that I've never seen before

and maybe if I just watched them I'd find that I like them very much

so I'm setting myself the goal of finding 25 new movies for me to watch and let's see how that goes.

I have watched 25 movies this year, I've been keeping a list of all the ones that I've seen

and they vary from brand new ones like I saw "Murder on the Orient Express" the other day

to much older ones that I've just never gotten around to so I'm glad that I did manage to stick to that goal.

it was something that I sometimes proactively looked towards

like in about September I'd only watched 18 and I was like "Oh my god, I need to find more movies to watch!"

so I think it's really changed my viewing habits and things and I really enjoyed them

and maybe I'll make a video about my thoughts on the movies that I did watch this year.

My next goal for 2017 is something that sounds quite simple but I think it's quite a challenge

and I think it's something that everybody has to work on on some level and that's "be nice to everybody".

Now that sounds quite simple when I'm in a good mood

but I want to be more conscious of how I make people feel when I'm in a bad mood

cause sometimes I snap, sometimes I'm grumpy, you know everybody has those moments.

And being grumpy can be infectious if you answer in the wrong way to somebody

and I don't wanna pass that on, I want the world to be happy so that's just something I'd like to do

I don't want to be that person that makes somebody feel horrible.

I think that's a really good goal, I'm going to carry that one into 2018 as well

and just through the rest of my life because it's horrible making somebody feel horrible as well.

And maybe you don't always realize that you've made somebody feel horrible

but yeah, I'm gonna carry that one on. I don't really know how I've done this year with that

but it's still going to be something that I'd like to carry on

even if I can't properly measure it for these end of year of reviews!

I'd also like to make 12 videos that help.

I didn't do this, I'm gonna put my hands up right now. I did not make 12 videos that help.

I completely forgot about this. Yeah, sorry about that!

I don't know if I'll carry that on into 2018

because I feel like my channel's more about adventures and my own personal stories and things

so maybe 12 videos that help wouldn't really suit this channel, I'm not really too sure.

If I ever find a way to make a video that will help then I will do

but I'm not going to make a tutorial just because I want to make a video that helps.

I want to make a video that helps but is also fitting on here

and that people are going to enjoy if that makes any sense.

And the final thing I would like to do in 2017 is something that I'm always trying to do

and that's visit a place that I've never been to before.

And that could be like a foreign country or a city

or it could even just be somewhere near my house that I've never visited before.

The possibilities are endless this is a big world and I feel like I want to experience as much as possible.

I did go to a couple of places I've never been to before in 2017.

Firstly I went to the countryside and there were sheep running free, there were little villages.

It was such an amazing place to be, it felt like I was on another planet

compared to like the towns and cities that I'm used to here.

Everything was so small, it was so relaxing.

We had to walk to the next village to get to the village shop and it was so refreshing, I absolutely loved it.

And then right after that I went to Anaheim in Los Angeles

which was like the total opposite of the place I'd just been.

So there was a bit of culture shock going from a tiny little village to Los Angeles

but all the same that was really fun as well. It was really great to see Los Angeles, Orange County.

It was really nice out there and I think I'm going to carry over that goal

of going to a place I've never been to before into 2018

because I feel like that's a life goal as opposed to even just a year goal.

I don't actually know where I'm going to be going next year.

I don't really have any plans at the moment of where I'm going to go

and I hope that I am at least going to go to at least one place as I've never been to before

and I also hope to at least go to one YouTube convention

because I have so many friends that I'd love to see again

so I don't know again which convention I'd go to but hopefully I'll be able to visit a convention again in 2018.

So those where my 2017 goals. I suppose there's mixed results there,

some of them I've done really well at, other ones not so much

and they're pretty much gonna be the same for 2018 so fingers crossed for me folks.

What are your goals for 2018? I would love to hear them down below

and if you commented on this video in 2016 about what you'd like to do in 2017

maybe go back and see what your goals were and tell me if you manage to achieve them.

And thank you so so much for watching everybody, cheerio!

anyways let's check out the back awesome so here it gives all of the different

options it says lights and sounds working searchlight drop-down shark cage

revolving barrel door flipped on door realistic control panel and aquarium Wow

and then here is some cool information on the art god or the killer whale so

this includes the Sealab lights on shark cage aquarium lab control panel large

Orca figure and accessories who came in our wallet purposes here is

to wipe off all the sharks that we could make as much money as we could retire

rich and who cares he'll be earn let's do it but I tell you dinner wife will

okay hi Ann you are on your own I fly the way for you I'm kidding

the coast is clear okay ninety hahaha gonna be the only one that escapes I'm

gonna be the only one the kids out here

Rolling between the clouds

Everytime further

Tracks out of light are reflecting, oh

The time that

spins out of my body

The glow is unattainable

That's the moment

I'm flying like the wind

I'm searching, believing and feeling

That nobody can stop us

There'll be a new sunrise

I'm flying like the wind

I'm searching, believing and feel

We'll break the laws of gravity

The destiny defeats the reality

Rolling and rolling

Destroying the labyrinth

Searching and searching

To be united, to be different

The velocity reached the move

The moon shines in every thought

I'm flying like the wind

I'm searching, believing and feel

That nobody can stop using

There'll be a new sunrise

I'm flying like the wind

I'm searching, believing and feel

We'll break the laws of gravity

The destiny defeats the reality

oh, oh, oh, oh

Maximum Distance Range Test Update : 1000 meters mark on my DJI Phantom 3 Standard No Mods - Duration: 4:05.

finally I managed to hit the 1000 meter mark of my DJI phantom 3 standard so

today's video I'll be showing you how I managed to do that coming up

hi everyone stenchy on this channel you see drone and travel videos if you're

new here consider subscribing and by the way a link down everything that I talked

about down the youtube description below do check it out at any point during this

video now if you haven't seen my previous video did a couple of maximum

range tests of my DJI phantom 3 standard figured out there could be three or four

main factors impacts maximum resonance if you at their own so if you haven't

seen that video I'll link that video down here or here do check it out as you

can see the progress of aiming to hit the maximum distance of my drone prior

to this test the maximum of had was about 800 meters so I didn't manage to

hit the 1000 meter marl but the other day I tested it out again using this four

principles and guess what I managed to get 1000 meters so I'll show you in this

quick video on how I managed to do it so as you can see here I'm doing my usual

calibration I'm flying in an open space and I'm making sure that I'm flying in a

fair weather it's not so sunny they're flying in our open space now as you can

see here my GPS is up 10 so which is good full bars on both my remote control

signal and the Wi-Fi signal I'm flying at about 50 meters on high

the weather is good it's not windy and there you go flying

trying to really heat it up but 200-300 meters now in distance so as you can see

here 400 meters now coming to 500 600

900 now and 9 9 9 596 close enough and then my signal loss 996 close to 1,000

meters it's you know I'm pretty happy with that result and that's without any

modifications that's all just using the four principles

now I've spoke about so yeah there you have it a man I finally managed to hit

the 1,000 meter mark I was so excited that day I can't wait to share to you

also hence why I made this video if you're not sure the maximum distance of

your drone do check it out do conduct your very own range test make sure

you're flying in an open space and follow any FAA or drone regulations

that's applicable to your local area or country or wherever you are safety comes

first remember that finally manage to hit the

maximum distance of this drone without any modifications you guys enjoyed this

video I hope you guys learned something today

thank you very much if you enjoyed this video give it a like and subscribe to my

channel for more videos again this is Dennis I'll see you all

next time that was a meter mark for my DJI phantom4 range booster range booster

so as you can see here again I am
