Alright, so for this one,
if you want to bring your makeup brushes out with you
and you don't want to carry your whole pouch,
here's a really simple solution.
All you need is a plastic glove, okay?
I... I swear this glove is made for Shrek.
Anyway.
So all you need to do is grab your brushes,
and then, you want to place the brush in... each of the finger...
...hole... Holder things.
Okay, so the way to put it in -
you just twist it,
so that it doesn't fray your brush.
And then you want to carry it on with the next one...
last one for the little finger
and there you have it - a nifty little way to store your makeup brushes when you're on the go!
And you just do this -
Chuck it in your bag, so like this your brushes won't get dirty.
It won't dirty other things as well. It's super cheap and

It doesn't take up a lot of room.
So when you're traveling and you want to bring all your accessories
and you've got really long pieces like this
it can be really annoying when you bunch it all up

the last thing you want to do is be lugging around big bottles of lotion
or toothpaste tubes... and the list goes on.
So here's a really clever way to store them for a one-time on-the-go use.
So all you need is a straw,
and you can cut it to whichever length you want
so I'm gonna use this one.
The first thing you need to do is you need to melt the plastic right here.
And then as soon as it's hot,
then you use the pliers to kiap it together so that it makes a seal.
It's really, really simple, only takes a second.
Now, if you don't have pliers,
you can always use the end of a bottle.
You do the same thing.
You would just press that just like this and that should create a seal.
We're gonna put lotion inside the straw now
so an easier way to get the moisturizer inside the straw
is you just squeeze the straw and it will suck the moisturizer inside the straw just like that.
So you can see,
that... it's all filled up to about here, okay?
You do not want to fill it up to the very top because you need some room
so that you can kiap it later because you need to seal it right?
Okay, so I'm gonna grab my lighter again, light the end, heat it up, melt it and then...
Kiap it.
And that, my friends, is it!
You can also do it in other colors like this one?
I've got it in clear and then afterwards you can label it to whatever you like.

and then all of a sudden your button falls off
and then you've got this massive gape in your shirt, okay?
So I'm going to teach you a really quick solution -
First off, you need to find your button.
Make sure you don't lose it.

First of all you need to find your button that fell off.
And you need a paperclip, okay?
Open up your paperclip just like that
and thread your paperclip through the button hole.
After that you want to very carefully poke a hole in your shirt where the button was
then after that, you can fold it back up.
So I'm gonna go ahead. I'm gonna button it up
There you go!
A quick solution of how to get your button back on without a needle and thread.
When you're on the go, it's really easy to forget to care for your skin.
Especially when you're traveling,
it's really important not to neglect this.
I live in Singapore, and it is really, really humid
so it's easy for us to forget to moisturize.
But it is super important.
Now at the moment, I am using this Nivea oil in lotion,
it contains jojoba oil,
it's fast-absorbing and really great for your skin.
Now the cool thing is even though it contains jojoba oil,
it is actually not oily.
Feels so good.
So now I have an oil blotter,
I only just put the lotion on my hand
and I put this blotter on immediately.
So as you can see, there is absolutely no oil on this oil blotter,
which is quite amazing because
considering that this contains jojoba oil,
you would think that the oil would come out on here.
But it doesn't.
Now the reason why you don't see oil on the oil blotter
is because the oil is actually infused into the lotion
instead of being a separate layer.
So...
Win-win, right?
I'm going to do a really interesting test right now.
I have a little device that actually measures the oil and moisture levels.
So before applying anything,
I'm gonna test my skin, how dry it is.
So as you can see, my oil level is 40 and my moisture level is 25.4.
So now I'm going to apply the Nivea oil in lotion to my arm,
and then I'm gonna do the test, which is here.
We're yellow now and look at my reading.
My moisture level has shot up to 75.5, which is fantastic,
I mean... yeah lah.
I just put the lotion on my arm so that's a given
but look at the oil reading - it's gone down.
And that's why my skin doesn't feel sticky and greasy.
It actually, no joke, feels super silky and smooth.
Like really.
And I'm one, I do not like to actually use moisturizer because of that reason
and this, I tell you... is the bomb.
It's like... it's like you don't have moisturizer on but you do.
So if you're in a hurry, and you need to iron a piece of clothing
and you don't want to bring out the ironing board and the iron and all the rest of it.
So all you need is a hair iron, and I'm just gonna kiap the piece of cloth that I want ironed
and it's as simple as that
and... just drag that along so that it's nice and straight.
Okay.
So...
It looks like this now.
Really, really simple, quick and easy way,
obviously you wouldn't want to do a whole shirt with a straightening iron,
but this is just a quick fix so say if you've got a shirt on,
and you crumpled the bottom of your shirt,
this is the solution, people.
So some of you may or may not know,
you can actually use body lotion as a shaving cream.
Not only that, it's super moisturizing.
Now I haven't moisturized my legs in quite a while
because I wanted to show you guys how effective this Nivea oil in lotion is.
So I'm gonna go ahead, I'm gonna show you how dry and how scaly my legs are so...
There it is! Boom!
So all you need to do is you need to put a little bit of moisturizer on your leg like this.
I actually don't have hairy legs...
...at the moment.
It feels just like shaving cream.
It doesn't hurt when you shave and this is like a really cheap razor,
which usually leaves you very like, icky.
I've got no hair to shave, hahaha!
But you get the idea right, guys?
So say you're on the go, and your hair is frizzing out like this.
Okay, now most of us will carry a little bit of, like a little tube of moisturizer or whatever.
I'm just gonna use this right here.
So squeeze some lotion into your palm and just rub it in, then...
Tame that mane, my friends. Tame that mane.
And what that does, it... tames the mane.
You just run that through your hair,
it's gonna make your hair smell fabulous,
and that's all there is to it.
It kind of works like a serum,
but it smells better and it's less oily, and it's fast-absorbing.
If you use the Nivea product that is lah.
So this nifty little hack is
for when you have very loose sleeves, all you need is a hair tie and there you go.
It's a really simple easy way to keep your sleeve up.
Another way you can do it is you just
grab the corner like this and you want to fold it in.
Grab it all and just tuck that in and then you want to push your sleeve up like that
and there you go.
Now if you don't have time to do a proper shoe polish,
a really quick and easy solution is just to use moisturizer.
So I'm gonna put a little bit of lotion on my paper towel,
and you can see here it's like really moldy and gross.
I'm just gonna go ahead
and apply the moisturizer on this bit here.
Oh wow.
That was so good, man.
It's nice and smooth so the leather has absorbed all the moisture
so as you can see, the lotion has given a nice instant shine on the leather boot.
This one looks shiny and new, and this one looks old and dull.
Really simple solution and everyone's got moisturize at home, right?

somebody comes in, they want a specific item,
it's your job to do it.

- You said that you have been battling cancer?
- Yeah, but it's my first year, technically, of remission.
- Really? - I'm actually ending, like,
that chapter of, like, thinking about the past.
- Yeah. - It's a good thing.
I'm very emotional.
- That's okay. - I'm an emotional human being.
- Oh, honey, I'm emotional too,
so if I see you start crying, I might cry too.
When you actually get the chance
to impact someone's life
and how they feel about themselves
is the whole reason I got into this industry.
Just stand natural.
When I came in as an apprentice,
there was not a whole lot of care
for the fact that I was even there.
It's a huge blow to your ego when you're told
all you are is a cute face and a tight ass.
I'm gonna make it in this industry
because I have the talent to back up that cute face.

- You wanted an old world map? Is that what you wanted?
- Any kind of a map at all. I'm a geospatial scientist.
- This is my time to finally shine.
Instead of just doing a skull with the map inside of it,
we're doing a skull globe.
I'm gonna show detail by making sure I get
every tiny little state and country in this map
on this skull.
Being in this industry,
it makes you have to learn to speak up
and stand up for yourself.
I'm excited to show off.

We changed the design
to be more of a phoenix
to represent coming out of a really dark place
to where she's at now.

I'm really used to listening to my own gut and my own ideas,
and when I get different ideas, they just get me confused.

- It's a little too late, you know what I mean, so...
I can't go in there and grab the machine.

All the detail that goes into one boot,
I gotta turn around and do
the same thing to the other one.

it really beautifully integrates
all of the work that I'm doing, the research that I'm doing.
- Having that open book with the flowing pages
gives me a sense of a cool breeze,
and then you have really great details
in these little areas.
That looks great.

- Juan. - I love the fact...
that you put the little tooth in the center of the flower.
- But I really wish that you would have defined
where the wraps are going,
'cause it kind of blends together
and looks like a mummy a little bit.
- Of course it looks like a mummy--
it's a body with wrappings.
What's the difference?
- Amanda. I particularly like what you did with the bow--
all the tiny little lines in the handle,
and then the feather work of the arrow--
very delicate,
and it all remains very feminine.
You did a great job.

- The details in this are great.
You do a really clean, crisp tattoo.
- But if you know how an axe handle works,
the strength of the stick is the grain running longways.
If the grain's running through this way,
it'll snap.
- I mean, that is style.

- A lot of really great detail in the small buildings,
the tiny little nautical stars in there.
It's very clear and very legible.

- This tattoo shows a great attention to detail--
the detail on the laces, the consistency
of the thickness of the laces
all the way through each turn and bend.
It was a detail challenge, and you hit it really strong.

of this tattoo is in the camera--
so many small little circles in there and ovals--
but they might be the worst leaves I've ever seen.
- If the flower is a traditional flower,
then the leaf has to be traditional with the flower.

- I like the fact that the detail
really lies in the face, really lies in the wings.
The actual scale patterns are all right on the money.
You're swinging for the fences.
- Man, I sweat right to that last second.
- That's a huge tattoo.

It's almost as big as his ego.
- Frank. - That top flower is busted--
just three weird lines with red in between them.
As far as hitting the detail in the impact wrench,
you killed it, and then you busted it up
with a pretty weak traditional flower.

I love the little bit of texture you got,
just in the stippling effect
to separate the continents from the rest of the skull.

Backstabbing Dem Just Leaked SECRET Information And Put Americans' Lives In Immediate Danger
What do you call a person who aids and abets criminals?
Apparently, if they're in public office, you call them a Democrat.
Cities and states all over this country are home to not only illegal immigrants but elected
officials who've decided to throw off those constrictive bonds of the law and keep the
peace by helping illegals break the law.
They ignore the national security risks in favor of catching a few illegal votes and
support those who've proven themselves to be criminals over our federal efforts to fix
an out of control immigration problem.
Any person who takes a public office must take an oath.
That oath requires that the person promise that they " . . . will support and defend
the Constitution of the United States" and "faithfully discharge the duties of the
office on which I am about to enter."
Nowhere in that oath does it include stabbing the legal citizens in the back in favor of
illegal immigrants, but that's just what Libby Schaaf of Oakland California did.
Schaaf used her privileged information as the mayor of Oakland to inform the entire
world via social media that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement would be showing up to
enforce the immigration laws that the federal government has put into place.
Fox News reports that Schaaf felt it was her "moral obligation" to give illegals the
heads up about the forthcoming enforcement of the law:
"The mayor of a sanctuary city in California issued a warning that U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE) could be conducting a raid in the area as soon as Sunday — ratcheting
up tension with the feds while giving her constituents an early heads-up.
Libby Schaaf, the Democratic mayor of Oakland, shared the warning — which she said she
'learned from multiple credible sources' — in a press release on Saturday, 'not
to panic our residents but to protect them,' Fox 2 reported.
The mayor said she didn't know further details of the ICE operation, but claimed she felt
it was her 'duty and moral obligation as Mayor to give those families fair warning
when that threat appears imminent.'"
Essentially, Mayor Schaaf is actively helping what is presumably a large number of people
break the law by avoiding law enforcement, and she's doing it using taxpayer resources.
There are many times when an individual might think the government is misallocating funds,
but at least they're unified on the decision.
In this case, however, even if we completely ignore the national security risk that illegal
immigration poses, taxpayer dollars are being used to go round up the illegals, and taxpayer
funds are paying this mayors salary and for the resources, she's using to help illegals
evade arrest.
"The feds detained at least four people Sunday, a program manager for the San Francisco
Immigrant Legal Education Network told the San Francisco Examiner, although the paper
noted it was unclear if the detentions were related to any broader ICE operation.
Schaaf during a news conference on Sunday also said she told mayors of other Bay Area
cities of the impending ICE sweep, SFGate reported.
Her tweet on Saturday aligned with previous reports that law enforcement officials in
Northern California would not cooperate with ICE, and noted state law 'prohibits business
owners from assisting ICE agents in immigration enforcement and bars federal agents from accessing
employee-only areas.'
Schaaf, who is seeking reelection, said in January that she'd be willing to go to jail
to defend the city's sanctuary city status, and has openly opposed the Trump administration's
crackdown on illegal immigration.
'It is no surprise that the bully in chief is continuing to try to intimidate our most
vulnerable residents,' Schaaf said at the time.
'We're very clear that our values are to protect all of our residents regardless
of where we come from.
We want to protect families, not tear them apart.'
And California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who's running for governor, commended Schaaf's
public warning, telling SFGate: 'We can and must protect immigrant families from Donald
Trump's mass deportations.
I want to thank Mayor Schaaf for her courage and hope more local leaders will follow her
lead.'
ICE told KGO-TV on Saturday that the bureau was unsure what Schaaf was referring to as
'There are ICE operations every day.'"
Illegals pose many threats to national security (because we can't properly vet them before
they enter) and economic (because so many are draining our welfare system) being some
of the most prominent.
However, possibly the most troubling is the risk that they will affect our elections to
the point that we will be governed completely by Democrats.
It's sad to say, but their support of Democratic candidates might be the scariest thing that
the average illegal does.
Sadly it's a vicious cycle; they don't have the history here to understand the threat
that Democrats are to democracy, so they very well might destroy the things that make this
country great and the reasons that they decided to immigrate.

I would like to sincerely thank the UTS Alumni for founding and organising these amazing
awards, as it gives the opportunity for UTS graduates to show their colours and how much
they have achieved thanks to the fantastic education that they received at UTS.
All of us standing up here tonight have been chosen as we represent high achievers in our
respective fields of endeavour, so we are living proof that UTS provides excellent training
for launching careers.
I have many fond memories of my time at UTS and the biomedical campus.
It was the first time in my education that I truly felt at home, studying topics that
absolutely fascinated me and being surrounded by fantastic lecturers and support staff.
Indeed, it was a conversation in the corridor with Professor Kevin Brody that quite literally
changed my life.
I knew that my passion was in biomedical science, but I was not feeling fulfilled by the part-time
job I held as a hospital scientist, and I wanted to do more than process patient specimens.
Kev asked me, have I ever considered doing research?
To which I replied: "What's research?"
To cut a long story short, I did a summer vacation research student-ship with him and
it totally got me hooked – and I've never looked back.
The lab is like a home to me.
I can't imagine doing anything else other than scientific research.
Like all scientists, I love the challenge and the thrill of the discovery, and I'm
extremely lucky to have a job that combines my hobby with something that's truly worthwhile.
Going into the lab each day to try and identify genes and signalling pathways that are involved
in cancer initiation, progression and metastasis and ways in which we can try to inhibit or
even prevent these processes, with the hope that this knowledge in some way can enable
the development of therapies that could make a real difference to patients in the clinic
– that is nothing by a privilege.
I'm incredibly fortunate to have met and work with many brilliant scientists over my
20 years in research, and each and every one of them deserves to be standing next to me
tonight, as great research only comes when people collaborate, bringing together different
sets of skills and expertise and ways of approaching a problem.
I would like to accept this award in behalf of all of them, and all the other hardworking
researchers out there, quietly working away in the lab, doing their part to fill in the
pieces of the puzzle that is trying to understand the world we live in.
Before I finish, I would just like to thank specifically some people please: thank you
to Jackie Robson, for being so very wonderful and for organising this event with all her
helpers.
Thank you to Professor Brian Morris for nominating me for this award, and thank you to the UTS
Alumni Advisory Board for the excellent decision.

Well Good Morning, my friends.
Welcome to Live Inspired with John O'Leary on this Wednesday morning.
A quote I heard recently was, "The right to speak comes with the duty to listen."
The right to speak comes with a duty to listen.
I was thinking back on that quote while listening to some of our friends in mainstream media
discuss some of the issues of the day.
Both relations with countries, the job the President is or is not doing, what has taken
place in schools over the most recent weeks, the challenges we face in our economy and
our environment.
As they are yelling back and forth their points, YELLING back and forth.
And so I turned off the cable news channel, flipped through Facebook very quickly, and
the very same tenor of conversation, with someone posting one thing out here, and then
being yelled at by all their friends - either agreeing or completely disagreeing with them-
over here.
It's not conversation.
It's two sides that will refuse to ever, EVER meet in the middle, to find the common ground,
to find the way forward, because neither side is willing to actually pay attention and to
listen to what the other side might bring to the table.
The ideas, the learnings, the wisdom that those people over there, those people, might
actually have.
My friends, the right to speak (a gift it is) comes with the duty to listen.
The responsibility to not only hear your own perspective and scream it out, but also to
quietly, humbly, and attentively listen to the lessons, the wisdom, the ideas of someone
else.
As we look around at the challenges we face globally, nationally, locally, in our businesses,
in our families, in our churches, in our places of worship, it is paramount, it is critically
important that not only do we make our points clear, not only are we passionate about what
we believe, but that we are bold enough to actually listen to those who may feel, think,
believe something different than our own opinions.
I realize the value of this not only in moving forward nationally, but also in designing
the best lives yet.
We had on our most recent podcast, a great gentleman named Marcus Adrian.
He's an accomplished architect, a phenomenal thinker, and I asked him, "What's the key
to designing these beautiful structures that you work on?"
And his response?
He's a good listener.
This is a man who designs super-structures, who realizes that the reason for that success
is that he is tuned in.
He's a phenomenal listener.
I think that key to success would benefit all of us as we move forward toward our own
version of success and significance on this day and then each day going forward.

How to Save More Money - Duration: 6:27.
If you're the type of person who spends money just because it's in your bank account, or
you just want some tips on how to save a lot of money, this video is for you.
And stay tuned to the very end because I'm going to tell you the number 1 reason why we all
make really bad decisions when we go shopping.
I actually need to get some groceries.
So let's go.
If you want to know how to save money
the first thing you have to do is track your expenses
to see how much you spend every year, and then make a budget.
And lucky for you, I actually have a video on this.
The reason you want to know how much you're spending and what your annual budget is
is because it's the only that's going to help
you create your financial goals.
But if you don't know where you are, you can't figure out where you want to go.
So track your expenses.
I'm not going to lie. Holding a phone, talking, while using the other hand to push a cart
is not the easiest thing to do.
After you track your expenses, figure out your budget and know how much you need to live on
the next thing you want to do is figure out
what do you want to save your money for?
Maybe you want to pay off some tuition,
maybe you want to pay down a car loan,
or maybe you want to save up for a dream vacation,
or maybe you just want to save for retirement.
It doesn't really matter what your financial goal is
you just have to figure out what that goal is,
so that you have a target and then save towards it.

Yeah, you know I'm gonna get it.
If you want to save a lot of money, the one thing
you'll hear over and over again is pay yourself first.
What does "pay yourself first" mean though?
Well, most people say 'pay yourself 10%'
and I think that's crap. Complete crap -
if you're trying to save a lot of money.
And it's complete crap if you live paycheck to paycheck. You're not going to be able to save 10% either.
What I think you should do is, put all of your money
into one savings account and in that savings account
you can only do one thing.
You either move a little bit into your checking account
which is used to pay off your bills
and the other thing is, you can only move out the rest of that cash
to help you with your financial goals.
So obviously, in order for you to do this
like I said in the beginning,
you're going to have to know how much you're going to spend every month
because you can only pull out cash from your savings account
to pay off your bills. But if you don't know how much bills you have
well, how much are you going to take out of the savings account.
For example, if you know that you're
annual budgeted expenses are about
$30,000 a year, well,
every month you should take out about $2,500.
And that means that you can leave the rest of your cash
in that savings account for your financial goals.
So hypothetically, let's say you make $3,000 a month.
That's about $36,000 a year.
Well, if you only saved 10% you'd only be saving $3,600.
But, if you kept all the money in there
you would actually be saving $6,000.
And that remaining $6,000 can then be used towards all your financial goals.
So you can allocate a portion of that to
your investments, lets say you're investing in the stock market
you can put a portion of that into your dream vacation,
the only way you can transfer money out of that savings account
is to use it for your expenses and for your financial goals.
Now do you want to know why You, Me, Everybody makes really
bad purchasing decisions?
It's one simple thing - it's choice.
I get it. Choice is important.
We need choice. The fact that you are where you are
in order to watch this video means you have the ability to have some choices in your life.
But when you have too many choices it's called
the Paradox of Choice.
The Paradox of Choice has two main negative effects.
The first thing is paralysis.
When there is way too many options
people find it really difficult to make a decision.
So let's say you actually make a decision and then you picked something that you want
or you think you want, at least.
The next negative effect that might have is called Buyers Remorse.
When you have Buyers Remorse that basically means that
you're less satisfied with the decision that you made
than if you didn't have that many options to choose from.
And you may not have that big of Buyers Remorse if you buy something that's $5 or $10
But what if you're buying a computer, or a TV, or a car?
When you're shopping for one of these bigger items
you're gonna have to go in with the mindset that
there's always going to be a newer,
cooler option beside it.
Because they're trying to do the up-sell.
So there are two things that you can do to get around this:
1. Go in with the mindset that there will always be
a newer, cooler option, but you're not going to choose that
because you did your research before and you know exactly what
you want.
Another thing that you can do is
something that I like to do, which is
just think to yourself "when I have this 'TV' at home
am I going to be comparing it to some other TV beside it?
No, I'm not.
I'm gonna have whatever I have and I'm going to like it. So just imagine
yourself with the option that you're going to choose.
Another thing you can do is limit the amount of
options that you have.
Make the decision from your limited options
and keep on going.
So there you have it.
Now you know how to save a lot of money
especially if you're that person that spends it because it's sitting
in your bank account.
