Here's a list of four black icons and the actors who
nailed their performances.
Malcolm X is one of the most influential and controversial figures
in African American history.
He's been played by a number of mega-talented actors since the 1970s
including James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, and Mario Van Peebles.
But nobody does Malcolm quite like Denzel.
In 1992 Spike Lee made history with his biopic simply titled Malcolm X.
Denzel was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance and with good reason.
Critics almost universally praised his turn as the legendary black activist.
He changed the world with his work to end racial oppression,
and won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the most celebrated visionaries the world
has ever known.
He has been featured in film well over a dozen times since his death.
But the actor who reimagined the icon, and embodied the spirit and physicality
of MLK is David Oyelowo.
His performance in Ava DuVernay's SELMA won him critical acclaim
and a Golden Globe nomination.
Famously though, the film got almost entirely shut out of that year's Oscar race,
spurning the hashtag movement #OscarsSoWhite.
Anti-apartheid leader, political figure and former president of South Africa,
Nelson Mandela received more that 250 awards and honors including the Nobel Peace Prize.
We think it's a tie between Morgan Freeman in 2009's Invictus
and Idris Elba in Long Walk To Freedom.
Muhammad Ali wasn't only a hero in boxing.
He was a beacon of the civil rights movement, who proudly embraced his black identity
inside and outside the ring.
Not to be confused with the documentary about Ali called The Greatest,
there was also a narrative feature called The Greatest starring Muhammad Ali as himself.
Although Ali playing himself sounds hard to beat, Will Smith did an excellent job in Ali.
The movie covers the ten years in which Ali took the heavyweight
title from Sonny Liston in 1964 to his famous Rumble In The Jungle in 1974 with George Foreman.
Will Smith was nominated for an Oscar for the role.
We would be remiss if we didn't mention recent films like Hidden Figures
or The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks as wonderful representations of black female
historical figures.
But the fact is, women of color are still GROSSLY underrepresented in the mainstream
theatrical space.
Let's hope that changes soon.
For HitFix on Uproxx, she's Miri Jedeikin.
And he's Yusef Roach.

'Plague of inequality' haunts U.S. 50 years after a landmark study on racial division - Duration: 8:12.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Some have suggested the racial, economic and political divides facing our
country now are deeper than they have been at any point in the past four or five decades.
A new report takes stock of those issues, where we stand now, and, as Hari Sreenivasan
reports, looks at some ideas for bridging those gaps.
HARI SREENIVASAN: In the late '60s, after riots and unrest around the country, President
Lyndon Johnson created a bipartisan commission to assess what could be done about social
injustice and economic inequality.
It came to be known as the Kerner Commission.
It was controversial and concluded in February of 1968 -- quote -- "Our nation is moving
toward two societies, one black, one white, separate and unequal."
This week marks the 50th anniversary of the commission.
And a new update is out from the Eisenhower Foundation, as well as the last surviving
member of the original Kerner Commission.
It concludes there's been real progress, such as expansion of the middle class for blacks
and Latinos, and the election of many political leaders, including former President Barack
Obama.
But it also finds, in some ways, things have not improved or have worsened since then.
We're going to hear more about this from Fred Harris, a former senator and one of the original
members of the Kerner Commission.
He's the co-author of new report called "Healing Our Divided Society."
And Darren Walker, the president of the Ford Foundation, who focuses on a number of these
issues.
For the record, the foundation is a funder of the "NewsHour."
Mr. Harris, I want to start with you.
Give us a fuller picture of what you think that we have not made so much progress in.
FRED HARRIS, Former U.S. Senator: Well, we did make progress for about a decade after
the Kerner report came out.
But then, with automation, globalization causing jobs to disappear or to move out of the central
cities, with a political change on the conservative side that lowered taxes for the rich and for
big corporations at the same time as they were cutting spending that benefited the middle
class and poor people, we began to slow that progress.
Then it stopped, and, since then, it's reversed, since about the last part of the '70s.
We're re-segregating again.
There's worsening discrimination against African-Americans and Latinos.
And there are more poor people today than there were 50 years ago.
Poor people are poorer.
And, lastly, the inequality of income is worsening in this country.
And we want to get race and poverty back on the national agenda.
HARI SREENIVASAN: Darren Walker, what do you think is responsible for that slip backwards,
this resegregation, as Mr. Harris says?
DARREN WALKER, President, Ford Foundation: I think we made great progress for a number
of years, but I think the growing inequality that we started to see in the 1980s has exacerbated.
And so we now have a twin challenge, the challenge of addressing our historic racial bias that
is rooted in our national history, in the narrative of slavery, and a new phenomenon,
the phenomenon of downward mobility of white Americans.
For the first time, we are seeing a potential generation of white Americans who are feeling
insecure and anxious about their futures.
The context matters here, and we have to consider that the context for inequality and what it
is doing in this country is making hopelessness and anxiety and feeling that America's future
will not be a great future, that, in fact, our future will be one of haves and have-notes.
HARI SREENIVASAN: Mr. Harris, your report points out just, of course, the general statistics
that sometimes we're familiar with about median household income for whites is around $65,000,
and for blacks, it's around $39,000.
But you go way back, even earlier, when it comes to children and poverty, that we actually
have now more American children living in poverty today.
It's up to 21 percent now, where it was only about 15 percent in 1968.
FRED HARRIS: That's true.
I think you can really judge a nation's priorities by looking at how they treat children.
And it's just a scandal that we have this growing child poverty in this country.
You know, we know what needs to be done.
We know what works.
We need just to build the will to get it done.
HARI SREENIVASAN: Mr. Walker, how do you address these different issues in a bipartisan or
nonpartisan way, where we see, in this political climate, we're seeing a retrenchment of kind
of party lines getting stronger and thicker?
DARREN WALKER: Well, first of all, I think it's important to not be demoralized by the
current state, because, in fact, we saw progress.
It's important, because there are some who would say all of these investments were for
naught.
That is not true.
We made tremendous strides in reducing poverty and reducing segregation in this country.
Today, we need to have people understand that we all, all Americans, black, white and brown,
are suffering from the same the same plague, and that is the plague of inequality.
And for us to make progress, we have to show white, black, and brown Americans that we
are all in this together.
We need our leaders to be builders of bridges between communities, and to recognize that
this nation needs healing, that we need to come together.
HARI SREENIVASAN: Fred Harris, how do you figure out a way forward, based on some of
the successes that we had in the past, some of the things that did work?
What were the ingredients for that formula, and how do we reinject that?
FRED HARRIS: We know jobs work, education.
We know that -- one thing that we know from the past is that people have to work together.
One of the great men of this country right now, I think, is the Reverend William Barber
of North Carolina, leader of a new Poor People's Campaign.
And he says we have got to quit existing and fighting in our separate silos, labor over
here and civil rights activists over here.
We're all in this thing together.
And he's demonstrated that you could put people together around things like a livable wage
and around jobs and around equality, no matter what a person's zip code or gender or race
is.
HARI SREENIVASAN: Darren Walker, so, what is the source of inspiration when you look
through this report?
What are you seeing as kind of a road map for future success?
DARREN WALKER: Well, what I see, actually, success being characterized by recognizing
the importance of technology in our future.
Technology wasn't mentioned in the Kerner report.
And, today, there is nothing more important, there is no feature of our society that will
determine opportunity more than technology.
The Internet will be a platform for opportunity or a platform for further inequality.
So, we have got to focus on making sure that all Americans have access to the Internet,
that we are able to not replicate on the Internet, in the digital world, the prejudice and injustice
that we have in the analog world.
So, I believe that a key unlocking of opportunity in the future and a way to address some of
these issues is by focusing on technology.
HARI SREENIVASAN: All right.
Darren Walker of the Ford Foundation, and Fred Harris, one of the original members of
the Kerner Commission, thank you both.
DARREN WALKER: Thank you.

Trump, lawmakers seek common ground on gun control - Duration: 4:18.
JUDY WOODRUFF: It's been two weeks since a gunman shot 17 people to death at a high school
in Parkland, Florida.
Today, the school reopened, as talk continued in Washington on what to do about guns.
John Yang has our report.
JOHN YANG: Students returned to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School classrooms this morning
amid reminders of the Valentine's Day killings.
MADISON GELLER, Student: We're never going to be back to normal, but it's going to get
us in the right direction again.
JOHN YANG: Makeshift memorials were piled high with flowers.
Some brought signs of encouragement.
There was a heavy police presence.
CASEY SHERMAN, Student: Oh, wow, there are a lot of police.
Oh, my goodness, yes, that is a lot.
JOHN YANG: The nearly 3,300 students began the day with fourth period, the classes that
were under way when the shooting started two weeks ago today.
MACY GELLER, Student: We start the day in the class where the event took place, so that's
like going to be a little sad and like weird.
But I'm just glad to see everybody that I spent the hard time with and see that they're
all OK.
JOHN YANG: Fourteen-year-old Jaime Guttenberg was killed in the shooting.
Today, her father watched as classmates went back to school without her.
FRED GUTTENBERG, Father of Shooting Victim: It's the safest school in America right now.
So, as long as it stays that way, I guess I'm OK.
And I think it'll stay that way for the rest of this year with all this significant presence
and efforts to strengthen and fortify it.
It's still the scene of where my daughter, unfortunately, was murdered.
JOHN YANG: A teacher posted a picture of a therapy dog in her classroom.
Many students said they would keep fighting for stricter gun control laws.
ANGELYS PEREZ, Student: We're still around.
We're still kicking it.
We're still trying to send a message.
We're like don't forget about us, because we can't forget those who we lost.
JOHN YANG: The school reopened as a major gun retailer, Dick's Sporting Goods, announced
it's not waiting for new legislation.
CEO Edward Stack said the company will stop selling assault-style rifles and will not
sell any gun to anyone under 21.
EDWARD STACK, CEO, Dick's Sporting Goods: We were so disturbed and saddened by what
happened, we felt we really need to do something.
We did everything that the law required, and still he was able to buy a gun.
He was still able to buy a gun.
JOHN YANG: The 19-year-old shooting suspect, Nikolas Cruz, legally purchased a gun from
Dick's last fall, but not the AR-15 he allegedly used in the shooting.
At the White House, President Trump met with a bipartisan group of lawmakers to talk about
gun control legislation.
DONALD TRUMP, President of the United States: So, we continue to mourn the loss of so many
precious young lives in Parkland, Florida, we're determined to turn our grief into action.
JOHN YANG: Mr. Trump backed better background checks for gun purchases, including private
sales, like those at gun shows, and arming teachers and other school workers.
DONALD TRUMP: I really believe it is going to prevent it from ever happening, because
they are cowards, and they're not going in when they know they're going to come out dead.
JOHN YANG: In some of the worst school shootings, though, like Columbine, Virginia Tech and
Sandy Hook, the shooters killed themselves.
And the president underscored his differences with the powerful National Rifle Association,
calling for raising the age for buying assault-style weapons, saying authorities should have preemptively
taken away Cruz's guns, and saying legislation to allow concealed carry permits to apply
across state lines shouldn't be a priority..
DONALD TRUMP: I'm a big fan of the NRA.
These are great patriots.
They love our country.
But that doesn't mean I have to agree on everything.
JOHN YANG: Democratic Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut told Mr. Trump that passing
legislation required presidential leadership.
SEN.
CHRIS MURPHY (D), Connecticut: Mr. President, it's going to have to be you that brings the
Republicans to the table on this, because right now the gun lobby would stop it in its
tracks.
JOHN YANG: As the president and lawmakers are seeking common ground hoping to prevent
future tragedies.
For the "PBS NewsHour," I'm John Yang.
JUDY WOODRUFF: In a related development, police in Dalton, Georgia, arrested a high school
teacher after he barricaded himself in an empty classroom, and fired a handgun once.
No one was hit, but one student sprained an ankle running.
There's no word on the teacher's motive.

Should Screenwriters Send Out PDF's Of Their Screenplays? by Shawn Christensen - Duration: 4:55.
Film Courage: How did you know the story [THE VANISHING OF SIDNEY HALL] was special or maybe
you didn't?
Shawn Christensen, Co-Writer/Director: I didn't.
We felt it was special because…I don't know because when you write a screenplay I
think you think it's special.
Whether or not it is special is kind of up to the…you know…Lords of the Future.
But we thought it was special…I guess because we enjoyed writing with each other and we
enjoyed the story we had built and we had some good plot twists and we liked the non-linear
structure and we had written…Jason [Dolan] had written four, five or six screenplays
at that point and I had written two.
And so when you get to your third script (your third feature script), trust me you've learned
a lot.
And I think us teaming up and his weaknesses and strengths and my weaknesses and strengths
really worked well together.
He's very good at things that I'm not and vice versa and so we liked it and we gave
it to ten of our friends.
Here's something that I would advise any screenwriter to do who is starting out.
You have a screenplay.
Don't send the PDF to a person and ask them to read it.
It's just…you're never going to get anything with that.
What you have to do is you have to make it a special thing.
What we did was we took ten friends, some in the industry, some not (we didn't know
many in the industry).
But friends that we trusted and thought they were smart.
And we said we have a hardcopy of a screenplay.
We'd like you to come over to…(we had an office that my co-writer was working for
someone with an office in Manhattan) and we would like you to come over to the office
if you wouldn't mind.
We're not going to stand over you like a funny farm and watch you read the pages or
whatever.
But we'd like you to read it and we'll walk away, we'll be gone for a couple of
hours.
You can write notes, whatever.
You can bash it, we don't care.
We just want like ten different peoples points-of-view.
So that's what we did.
We had ten people read it.
Like they couldn't leave with it, they couldn't take it, that way we know they're going
to read it.
And we're not going to stand over their shoulder and then we left the office and came
back and then we sit down with them and talk it out with them.
We took all of their notes.
We decided what we were feeling and sort of where the consensus notes were and then we
went right back to it and then two weeks later we had a script that we felt perhaps could
be given to people of note.
Film Courage: So you felt that in giving a PDF that is would just sit inbox and they
would maybe find a reason to say "Oh, you know what?
I'm so sorry, I'm really busy."
But by having them there, sitting them down with uninterrupted time, it was just a better
way to actually do it?
Shawn Christensen: You know, listen…that's a fact.
Think about it in terms of being on the other side of the coin.
If your friend sends a PDF (a hundred-page PDF) of something.
And maybe, by the way, you're not a screenwriter, you're like their friend, you don't really
read screenplays a lot.
It's a daunting task.
It's a task that…I don't know how to explain it.
You could be excited about reading a screenplay that comes into your inbox, but generally
speaking in the age we live in with emails and social media and all of these things for
people to get distracted by, to read your friend or your cousin's or your second cousin's
or your friend's brother's uncle's screenplay or whatever, we felt that no one is going
to read our script if we just send them a PDF of it.
Let's just set a time for them to read it, not be in the room when they read it but that
way they'll read it and then right after they read it we get their fresh, unfiltered,
you know…like feelings about the screenplay.
And then if we see things from like six out of the ten of them are saying this is no good,
well then we know (that this is something we've got to work on).

Support for Law Enforcement - Duration: 2:17.
I stood on the door step of the man who raped me
and I told him I will not be quiet.
And I have taken that on,
I have gone to the halls of Pierre from that doorstep
and I have passed Jolene's Law,
removed the statute of limitations on criminal rape cases,
and we continue to change the laws and the work of this state,
that will also impact this city, to protect children and families.
And what I have learned from that,
in passing and working on some of the most impactful anti-crime legislation this state has seen in nearly a decade,
is that we have to bring all the players around the table
to find the solutions.
In that we need short term solutions, but also long term solutions.
No one wakes up one day and says I want to be an addict.
But we have to deal with the consequences when that does happen.
And so following in the model that we have used for Jolene's Law,
day one, one of our first initiatives will be bringing around the table law enforcement in this city.
Our police department, which I have had the opportunity to ride along with on all three shifts,
including the overnight shift, from 9pm to 5am,
to work with them, not just those at the top, but also with Jolene's Law,
the difference that we made and why it's so impactful
is that we have also brought the boots on the ground to the table.
We have brought the men and women that fight day in and day out to protect our families
to the table with the leadership that make legislation and changes.
And so, for me, as your mayor, to continue to protect this city
and to stay true to the commitment that I made which was I will not be quiet,
is to bring around the table, the change makers.
The men and women of our law enforcement department,
the agencies that also support them,
our highway patrol that I've been able to have conversations with,
our county sheriff's offices as well
and talk about what we can do to support them.
Because the change starts with conversation, and collaboration,
and then cooperatively we are going to continue to make strategies
that will keep Sioux Falls safe,
because none of us are going to be quiet when crime comes to our door step.

Revealed! Proof Erupts, Obama Lied To America For 8 Years - Duration: 16:51.
Revealed!
Proof Erupts, Obama Lied To America For 8 Years
Everybody realizes that amid Obama's presidency, employments/monetary numbers were continually
distorted to influence him to look great.
Advantageously, vital metrics were overlooked by his attendants in the Labor Department
as well as by his lapdogs in the media, who should examine these sorts of things.
Things like labor participation rate and tallying the people that have stopped looking for work
by and large would have caused the joblessness number to soar.
Yet, Obama and the Left couldn't have that.
So they lied, consistently, concealing the genuine strength of our economy and the dismal
substances that accompany conceding the certainties about work metrics.
Egotistically, the president bragged about his job numbers, advising his critics to check
for themselves.
Ads by Revcontent
All things considered, many have, and the numbers demonstrate his pundits were more
than correct.
As detailed at Yes I'm Right, after Trump won the election and organizations started
promising to return and keep jobs in the US, Josh Earnest, Obama's press secretary, reduced
Trump's pre-presidential triumphs, saying:
"There were 805,000 manufacturing jobs that were not just protected, but actually created
while President Obama was in office."
A bold claim, and a complete lie.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, before Obama's disastrous presidency began
in 2009, there were 12.561 million manufacturing jobs in the US.
As of November 2016, that number had fallen to 12.26 million jobs.
Which, as indicated by the laws of first-grade arithmetic, would imply that more than 300,000
assembling discounted were lost amid his administration.
The inquiry at that point turns out to be: How on earth did Josh "Not really" Earnest
thought of such a ludicrous number?
Indeed, he did what the Left dependably does, by winding and twisting things to fit the
story.
His strategy was unfortunately unscrupulous, as he just glanced back at Obama's 8 years
in office and found the point where producing jobs were at their lowest, which was in 2010
at 11.453 million.
That is where he began counting jobs "created" by Obama after the president's garbage policies
had effectively shaved off 1.1 million jobs.
This sort of mysterious bookkeeping is the thing that the Left's about and why you
ought to never believe any numbers that originate from the Left, or truly, any government official
so far as that is concerned.
What do you think about this?
Do not hesitate and write your thoughts in the comment section below.

Haul: Ulta, Lululemon & John's Crazy Socks - Duration: 12:21.
Hello welcome back to my channel, I hope you're having a wonderful
Day if you're interested in seeing what I got at Ulta and a couple other things
in a haul video
Please keep watching, so I'm a few different things from a few different stores. I got some stuff at Ulta
I bought a few things at Lululemon, and I bought a few things at Jon's crazy socks
and
I'm going to show you everything that I got at Ulta first the first thing I got from Ulta is called a cat a corn
headband and
Is super cute, and you put it over your head
And it basically just keeps product out of your hair when you're washing your face or putting a mask on
Or whatever you do in your evening skin routine
You put this on and it keeps stuff out of your hair, so
I've used it once already. It works. I like it
Yeah
so the next thing I got is this set of nails by China Glaze I
Really like stick-on nails. I'm wearing stick-ons right now. I think they're fabulous
I kind of think I want to do like a tutorial video because a lot of people are like
I don't know how to I know how to do
Stick on nails. They don't stay on. I can't get them to fit my nails correctly, and they don't look good
From far away. They actually do look good first of all even if you're not that good at doing them
They usually look okay from far away
So I was thinking about doing a tutorial on how to
stick them on but also how to get them to last longer so
I
Don't know I might do that
Still on the decision side of things umm
Yes
so I
Just really like the blue design. They're like blue with gold. I think they're really cute. I like stick on nails
These are stick on nails
so
You'll probably see me wearing these in a future video
I'm guilty you guys the next two items. I bought because they were on sale and
They are these little things that go on your bun their little hair accessories
And you just you put your big bun up here, and then you up here
We're like it's not even in the viewfinder so you put your big bun up here
And then you just kind of stick one of these up in the front
Yeah
You just gotta stick it up there on the front, and it likes you look like wearing a little crown, and it's super cute
So I got two of these because I couldn't decide what color I wanted and they were on sale right so
This is a product that was featured in my empties. It's the kenra platinum revive complex. It was also in my favorites
I absolutely love this stuff. I hate paying
$28 for it, but that's how much it is
for a hundred milliliters
so I
Got some
Because there is no replacing this. I love it the last two items from Ulta are from Stila
I absolutely love their shimmer n glow and the glitter n glow eyeshadows I
have
Almost the entire collection of both, and I just absolutely love them so I picked up two more
The first one is called gypsy
and
Gypsy looks like that
The next one is from the shimmer and glow collection by Stila
And it is in this shade called pigale and this is what that looks like
It's a gorgeous
shimmery
Burgundy it is
stunning
So the next few things that I got I got at Lululemon
This is the sweat times bra, and it is in carmine true red
this was
Originally stated that it was special edition
For the Chinese New Year, and I can definitely see the influence
just with the red and
It's really pretty it looks super cute on. I love the straps, so I'm definitely gonna enjoy this
The next thing I got at Lululemon was the matching train times crops
in the carmine true Red
Again, I just really love the color on these I love this bold red print, and I think they're gonna look super cute together
The next item I got a Lululemon a pair of shorts. I got these because they were on sale
and
I
mean they're just...
hi!
These are the hottie hot shorts, and they're in a midnight Alpine something-or-other, I'm gonna read this out
These shorts are in mini blush blossom alpine white
midnight navy
Midnight navy. That's the name of the colorway
It's very long
very interesting color name
The last thing that I got is this define jacket
it's a special edition pleated one, so I just got the black because I
Didn't love the other two colors, but honestly
I just love this design so much that I might end up getting one of the other two colors
So
The details on this are really gorgeous, so that's the pleated collar area
they also on the inside where the zipper is at have a
little saying and I believe if you can read it says
Namaste in love they're also pleading details near the front of the jacket
So I just think that this was a gorgeous take on one of my favorite
Lululemon pieces which is the define jacket
I'll link a few posts below if you're interested in learning more about the define jacket and the history of the define
jacket very
Passionate about one of my all-time favorite pieces of Lululemon, so if you want to read more
I'll link them in the description below the final thing

Smooshy Mushy Do-dat Donuts Unboxing & Review #2 | cute food squishy - Duration: 10:37.
(music throughout)
Uuuh let's-- let's get started here. This is, um a, Smooshy Mushy,
Smooshy Mushy Do-dat Donuts series Two!
this is my second unboxing video of one of these,
Um, I have two already, that's Chelly Chicky, Peggy Eggy,
Marney Monkey, and Cora Cocoa.
I didn't do a video for the first one, which was Chelly Chicky,
because I was just too dang excited... to open it... Because it was so cute! Um, yeah.
My favorite thing on this, though, is the warnings here:
"This is a toy, not real food. Surface of the toy is prone to tearing, do not pull.
"Toy may deform when first taken out of the container, please leave it out for 12 hours to bounce back.
"Toy is not intended to be used as a food or drink container."
There you can see the kind of, uh, legal stuff,
Once again, this guy, or gal, or individual contains--
Uh, you get a Smooshy pet, a bestie, a nametag, a sticker, a mini bottle,
and then the big Smooshy bottle, comes... That's all you get with this toy.
There is also a little, um... poster thing that comes with it,
and you get the little chains to attach the things to the big guy, or individual toy.
Um, (muttering) you can't read that... oh I didn't know they had a website.
I have not checked that out yet, I may... "smooshymushy.com"!
They've been getting a lot of, um new... These were the first ones I saw at the store I got them at,
but they've been getting more different lines, like there's one called Yolo Froyo,
which looks cute. They also a also are getting series
2.5, which looks to have some of these same ones. There is a skunk, that I really
hope is what's inside this one. Um, they're scented. I am terrible at discerning
scents, so I cannot tell you what they smell like. Uh... (laugh) They're a mystery box, you
cannot tell what is inside, because there's no way to get light through it,
even though (tap tap) this plastic is see-through on the bottom. Um, yeah I think that's all
you need to know before I open this. I am about to pull out a knife, so if you don't wanna see that, maybe, look
away until you hear the plastic stop crinkling, right now.
So here goes (sung) nothing! (muttering) Let's see, where's that... little... thing...
(crinkling, plastic pops) There we go. Okay, the knife is fully out of the picture for the rest of the video.
Here we go... (muttering) get this open... (tearing & crinkling) Let's see..
Smooshy milk, that's what it looks like. (more crinkling)
There it it! (muttering) Set the plastic to the side there... Smooshy Mushy,
Do-dat Donuts, Smooshy milk chocolate. Interesting,
because I don't think... well that does say vanilla, and then the pink one, I imagine,
says strawberry, yep. Okay, let's see we have in here. I really hope it's not a duplicate.
But if it is, maybe I can do a giveaway. Yeah? How does that sound? Another little pink
bottle just like Marney Monkey here came with. This one has a pink
chain inside. This is a mystery bestie, which is not a mystery once you have the handout [poster],
because all of them come with specific ones-- (gasp) Oh my goodness!
It's the poodle! Oh my gosh! Yay! She's so cute! Or he! Or they!
This was one of the ones I was really hoping for! I'm so happyy~!
I used to be really obsessed with dogs when I was a little kid, so, like, poodles and Dalmatians especially.
One time, my parents, uh, dog sat for a friend of theirs that had a bunch of poodles, so (laugh)
I was really into poodles for a while. Poodles and Dalmatians.
Aw, look they're all buddies!
Look at 'em! Okay, let's see who's in here. (crinkle, grunt)
(muttering) Let's see, you can be propped up like that. Yeah, good, good, good! (more crinkles)
Once again*, I'm sorry if the furnace is making noises, this is the only place I have to shoot this--
Ohhh! It's a croissant!
I've been watching a lot of
vine compilations lately in that one where the guy says,
"You could have made me drop my croissant!"
It's like always in every one, and it's so funny.
(muttering) Okay, you go there.
'Cause we also have (rattle) some other stuff in here.
Mini surprise! (laugh) The mini surprise is a sticker, I believe, I don't, I dunno.
There's the little name tag, and there's the sticker! Aw!
(crinkle)
Smooshy Mushy Do-dat Donuts. I really like this stinker that's a really
cute little pose. I like that the croissant is just like floating** next to
the dog. That's adorable. And here's the little handout, I talked about this last
time. It's really, it shows you all the different ones that you can get, uh...
I'm still looking out for Scout Skunk! Petula Poodle and Casey Croissant are who
we have here today. I feel like the rest... I guess some of them also have it like
floating near them. Some of them are like, holding it though. Or it's sitting next to them.
And I am so... I had no idea that Chelly Chicky was ultra-rare, and I feel very lucky to have
had that be my first one. I am looking to "collect them all". Um, I don't know if I'll be
able to, because it did look like they were running out of this series at the
store, which is a real bummer. And... This was what I was talking about in the last
video, though. The first one I got, I was so excited to see this little cootie
catcher thing, because I... was very into, like, origami, and cootie catchers and
stuff when I was in elementary school, and so when I cut this out and folded it it up,
it was really, really fun. Like, it made me feel like a kid again, almost.
But yeah, that's, that's it, that's my Smooshy Mushy Do-dat Donuts, series 2,
unboxing the number 2, featuring Petula Poodle. Oh, I'm so happy.
Croissants are also one of my favorite, like, breakfast snacks. (laugh) I'm a big fan of
fried eggs, also. Um, yeah. She looks actually, like, more nicely painted than the other
ones I've gotten, so I wonder, I dunno what that means.
And her, lil tassel/tab is on the left instead of the right. Where these guys, are both on the right.
I don't know what that means. I hope you enjoyed this video, um, yeah.
I really have fun making these, so if you enjoyed watching it, you know, you could (music changes)
give me a like or subscribe. Which one do you think is the cutest? Tell me in the
comments. Or like, which ones have you gotten, or, which ones would you wanna get?
What's what's your favorite cute animal (laugh) and breakfast food? And I'll see what I
can, um, respond to. Probably all of it. (laugh)
Um, yeah, other than that, [uwu?], please remember to stay hydrated!
And you won't get kidney stones***. Hopefully. I don't know where I was going with that. (music pauses)
Um, yeah. Stay hydrated. Bye!
