Child Protection Groups Say YouTube Illegally Collects Data on Children - Duration: 1:53.

///// Well, it's another day, another data breach but this time it's YouTube in the hot

seat.

The platform, owned by Google has allegedly been collecting data on kids.

A 59-page complaint was filed with the US Federal Trade Commission by 23 child advocacy,

consumer, and privacy groups.

They've accused Google of violating child protection laws by collecting personal data

and advertising to children who are under the age of 13.

According to the coalition, which includes the Center for Digital Democracy and Campaign

for Commercial-Free Childhood, YouTube has been disregarding the fact that they have

viewers under the age of 13, even though the platform is only meant for those 13 and over.

Google is collecting data on these underage users including their location and phone numbers,

which is a direct violation to the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act also known as

Coppa, which requires parental consent before collecting that data.

The coalition states,

Google profits immensely by delivering ads to kids and must comply with Coppa.

It's time for the FTC to hold Google accountable for its illegal data collection and advertising

practices.

According to the group, 80% of kids aged six to 12 years old use the online platform, making

it the most popular one amongst American children.

YouTube has taken steps to protect children and keep their content safe.

They've created a YouTube app for kids and have hired thousands of moderators to look

for offensive content on their platform, but the coalition is not impressed.

They say those steps do not excuse the fact that the platform is monetizing the personal

data of children.

Just like Facebook, Google has focused its huge resources on generating profits instead

of protecting privacy.

YouTube says that protecting families and kids has always been a priority and that they

will fully read the complaint to see when they can improve.

hey guys welcome back to my channel I'm so excited to do this video for you guys

because it's an ill care video so I'm gonna be doing my nails with you guys

I'm gonna show you guys how I take care of my nails I'm working with BIOS TV gel

they are one of my favorite favorite gel polish companies to work with they are

located in Toronto Canada The Reckoning company I'm so excited to show you guys

and my favorite colors from them there's also gonna be a giveaway so make sure

you guys stick around for the end of the video I'm gonna explain all the details

so currently this is what my nails look like right now if I get a lot of

questions about what I asked when I go there what I have over top is a bio gel

over top I have fake tips on at the moment another thing she does you guys

is makes them super thin for me super thin works if you have shorter nails

just because the longer they are of course they're more susceptible to break

and just like when she doesn't thin because it just looks a bit more natural

my shape I love the coffin shape however I'm really really really picky about my

shade the girl that does my nails obsessed with shaping and she's like

such a perfectionist it just makes me so happy like when she's like turning in

all different directions and she's trying to get it so perfect I'm like yes

girl good that shape so what I do is I get coffin but I get a little bit of a

different coffin I tell her not to make it too narrow when your nails are

shorter you don't want to do a narrow coffin you guys it looks oh because they

end up looking like these little like bird beaks like I don't know how to

explain it it looks bad I've done it before well y'all know nothing is simple

with me just always like something something I'm tweaking right now I'm

really liking the short nails I just want something a little bit more natural

right now that's just what I'm feeling so I'm gonna show you guys everything

BIOS see we just sent me and then I'm gonna show you guys my tips on how I

take care of my nails the first thing they sent me was their little glow mini

LED lamp this thing is so cute they have three different colors they have black

white and pink can you guess what color I chose I chose

white of course that's a close-up of the lip it's just a little mini lamp I love

it in the white it does come with a cord or you guys can use a wireless and put 4

triple-a batteries inside of the back here which is so cool

the other thing they send me a bunch of gel buffers twice paint just

like so flirty and pretty like one it's just such a happy color so that's what

they look like they have their bio CB gel logo on the front there and they

sent me a pack of their files over here I like to freshen up my shape after a

while the corners of your nails I don't know if you guys noticed that they get

rounded that drives me absolutely nuts another nail file I want to show you

guys they had sent me prior and I absolutely love it this is the nail file

that I use all the time to file my nails this is the bigger version it just works

so well I could just sit here and just like shake my nails all day I seriously

could I got not even joking I'll be like watching my show and I'm just like I'm

glad I actually have the minis because now I can carry it in my purse just in

case it's so now I'm gonna go through the colors that they send me I'm so

excited to show you guys the product is also cruelty free and vegan friendly so

the first time that they send me is are you sure it's a really nice taupe color

I've actually done this color before and everything's like it

so with gel polish I just absolutely love it you guys because I can swatch as

many colors as I want and all you have to do is literally wipe it off another

thing I love about it is the drawing time there's nothing worse than sitting

at the nail salon and you just have to like sit there and wait for your nail

polish to dry nail polish takes forever oh and the other thing about gel polish

what I absolutely love you guys when you do nail polish over time it's gonna get

dull gel polish stays shiny way way longer than nail polish I'm gonna show

you guys a trick that I use to shine my nails I just grab a cotton pad I put

some alcohol on it and then I just kind of rub it they actually make them look

brand new which I absolutely love so this is are you sure guys very very

pretty like taupe color I love it so much the next color this color I'm so

excited about I haven't tried this one yet but I've heard it's so popular this

one is called peaches so that's the color it looks like in the bottle such a

pretty color for spraying like I can't wait to try this one definitely a spring

color so that's it on my nail right there in the middle has like this peachy

undertone so the next color is kind of angel such like a very soft baby pink

you guys know I love these chunks and I get a ton of questions as to which ones

I normally do and see a more in person but this is the one with the swatch on

it and it just enhances what I have right now see toffee is one of my

favorites from them is what I want a tad bit of color you

guys can tell by the bottle that everybody used to pour so this is the

color that toffee is it's a little bit more of like a mauve color so that's

what toffee looks like really really pretty mommy sort of colors this color

is so pretty Halifax I have never done this one before

but I'm actually really tempted to try it and it's like a very nice tan color

oh my goodness this is so pretty so that's how the facts right there I'm

like oh my god how pretty is this why haven't I not done this color yet it's

just so gorgeous another thing I do a lot with gel polish is all layer colors

so sometimes I'll be like I want one coat of Halifax and one coat of

something else so a lot of my color sometimes are

custom and they're not just one straight color the next color is mousse mousse I

have a soft spot for this because I have a soft spot for taupe and this is like a

really really really pale sort of great taupe this is not my first rodeo with a

mousse for sure so that's what most looks like how pretty is that you guys

it's just such a subtle like taupe stone sort of color nails I'm obsessed with I

love having my nails down if I don't have my nails done I don't feel feminine

and I just don't feel like a woman and lastly marshmallow oh my god you

guys marshmallow is another like really really good natural sort of color by

them very very like pinky white I've done this one before too I'll show you

what it looks like in the bottle they're very like super white and pinky condoms

will look like super super sheer whereas this one definitely has a little bit

more of a punch when you do it so that's it right in the middle finger right

there it's definitely less see-through than cotton Angeles this is another like

tip and trick when you're doing your nails

lately I've changed my routine I used to go every two weeks but that would cost

me like a hundred bucks a month now I go once a month so it cost me fifty bucks a

month what that does is of course it helps my bank account in my wallet but

one thing I definitely recommend is if you guys want to make your nails last

longer taking a color that's definitely more sheer and natural because those

colors when your nail grows out before you really need to go get a fill it's

gonna be less noticeable so if you do of corsica bright pink you're definitely

gonna be able to see around the cuticle that you need to fill i've swatched all

the colors for you guys the other thing that they sent me was of course there

and Topco you absolutely need this if you're going to be using this product so

some of them that say 3-step so that means you will need to use the top and

base coat I do have a couple colors from their unity collection which means it's

all-in-one it already has the base and top coat in it which is super cool so

you don't need this and then the last thing they sent me was the base and top

coat if I'm using the nail polish version one good thing about nail polish

I will say is it's so easy to switch colors I was obsessed to bath before

we're doing my nails and I would switch my nail color I kid you not like every

couple days that's why I find it so hard to like commit to one color when I go to

the nail salon and with gel it takes a little bit longer to remove off that's

the only thing with gel so that everything they sent me now I'm going to

show you guys how I do my nails and a couple of tips and tricks that I have I

love to clip around my cuticles and just take off all the little pieces that are

kind of sticking up around there and it kind of just cleans up the nails a

little bit I never push back my cuticles my nails grow actually very very well

every couple days I will do this and I will just go around my nails and kind of

take off any dead skin I and this you guys this is my obsession

I love shaping my nails can you guys see like on the corners here they're just

not sharp and they're very very kind of rounded I don't like that I like when

they're super super sharp around the edges this is the one that I have not

filed and this is the one that I just filed as you can tell looks a lot more

sharper and cleaner where the other one looks a little bit more dull and rounded

I'm just going to go ahead and do the rest of my shaping and then we'll move

on to the next step

so I just wash my hands they're just wet here there's nothing like having a fresh

shape so our shape is now done all nice and sharp yeah my next nail tip that I

absolutely love you guys is vitamin E it's going to keep your cuticles looking

more threats all the time I used to buy Essie cuticle oil their apricot one I do

really love that product if you guys also want to try it out but again you

guys know I am like natural crazy so I love using natural products I'm gonna do

this vitamin E step afterwards the other thing we were absolutely gonna need is

rubbing alcohol BIOS zebra gel recommends anything over 70% alcohol

this one is actually 95 so we're good to go just gonna put a bunch of alcohol on

my cotton pad here and what we're gonna do is we're going to clean anything we

have off of our nail I'm just gonna wipe that down with a dry one now just to

make sure we don't have anything wet on the nail and we're gonna get ready for

application I have plugged in at my little LED lamp over here plug it into

my computer using the USB and then when you put your nails inside the light will

automatically come on my ready has a gel base coat already on my nails so I don't

need to put a base coat but I will be using their top coat can you guys guess

what color I'm choosing I chose marshmallow I'm so excited about using

this color I just want something really super classy and pretty that's why I

chose this one so we're gonna go ahead and get started

you don't want to be touching your nails or putting any cream on your hands right

now you can do that afterwards you do want to do nice thin coats you don't

want to do anything too thick so I like to take most of the product off of the

brush and then I like to apply it

the other thing I love about gel polish you guys I have to say so much easier to

paint your nails nail polish you can mess it up so much more whereas gel

polish is not gonna dry it until you put it inside up the actual lamp so that is

what's so cool about it so now we're ready to put our nails

inside of our lamp it does say to keep it in here for 30 seconds now we're

gonna go ahead and apply it the second coat it's really up to you how many

coats you guys wanted this color

now we are going to finish it off by applying our top coats so we just

finished this hand it looks so pretty you guys I'm gonna go ahead and move on

to my right hand and then once we're done I'm going to show you guys what it

looks like so we just finished doing both of our hands look how pretty this

color looks it's so pretty you guys so classy I'm so happy with it now we're

going to do the last step now that everything is nice and dry we're gonna

take some vitamin E on our q-tip here and we're just gonna go around our

cuticles so now that it's on I kind of just like to rub it in just a little bit

and you'll notice such a difference in your cuticles you guys know how much I

love using vitamin E I use it as a lip balm all the time throughout the day

every room that I'm in I'm not even joking with you guys there's always a

bottle of vitamin E with me I love it for my face as well if you have dry skin

anywhere vitamin E is amazing for a dry skin I'm going to show you guys a

close-up of how much better your cuticles look when you have the vitamin

E on there and you also get a little bit of that shine and your skin just looks

so much more moisturized and last but not least a gel manicure is never

finished until you put some cream all over your hands to kind of freshen your

skin so I just have here some cocoa butter I'm just going to rub it in to

both of my hands and that's our finished gel manicure you guys I gotta fill my

ring on where's my ring

I completely forgot to show you what else they sent me this hot over here

with the nail emoji I can't like I love this emoji so much and I can't believe

Zombie Tools Vakra Kukri Review and Insane Tactical Chopping Test - Duration: 8:43.

We all contribute to society somehow. 

Some of us make 5 minutes of another commuters day miserable, because we speed up when you

try to pass us- then slow back down when you can't. 

Remember it's only helpful to drive a good pace when someone tries to get in front of

you. 

My contribution is to fill Youtube severs with gigabytes of knife and flashlight review

garbage with jokes a handful of people get- and half of that that are funny. 

And zombie tools makes blades that will help you survive when your Walking Dead fantasy

becomes a sweet sweet reality. 

Like I said we all have our roles. 

Anyway you've seen my Bud K video, and now I have an upgrade to that cheapie…

The Zombie Tools Vakra. 

And as you ponder your greatest contribution to earth let's look at the dimensions- like

the overall length and weight. -

sorry I didn't mean this review to be an airing of grievances.

Blade length and chopping edge. 

Looks legal to me. 

Handle size grip area. 

Spine thickness handle thickness… and some tallnesses in case some jerk asks for it.

Maybe that's their contribution to society.

 

Ok so I like kukris because I find them handy for chopping tree garbage- and also making

youtube videos. 

I mean because they're badass murder weapons!

That's my tactical voice. 

They have thick unbendable blade stocks unless you're a mutant, and cut through wood much

easier than a thin machete more suited for small branches and weed. 

The Vakra has a blade made from 5160 steel, which is harder than your standard carbon

steel blade- still carbon steel but it has more chromium to add resistance to corrosion. 

It's still best to clean and dry your blade after contact with zombie blood as well as

standard non apocalyptic moisture. 

Check out Zombie Tools website on blade care- and not this video. 

I'm not an expert in anything but dick jokes. 

And for some people even that claim is a bit hard to swallow. 

Blade looks to my eyes to be a convex grind, and Zombie tools says that they sharpen each

edge to 19 degrees. 

 However once you get it you can sharpen it whatever the hell you want.

The handle. 

The Vakra is fully tanged, or handle deep in tang as no one says. 

And on the outside of that tang, take a drank every time I say tang, are acid treated aluminum

scales wrapped with leather. 

It makes for a fairly comfortable handle for extended periods of burning and chopping shit

in your backyard while drinking. 

If you're wondering where all these branches came from- that Noreaster that came through

a month ago blew them all down in one night. 

So now I have to piles of shit to burn.

True story.

Boring story, but true story. 

Tang.

 

Ummm… sheath. 

Zombie tools have real leather sheaths upgrades for $70 that look in the parlance of our times

amazeballs…

Mind you I'm about a decade behind in my colloquialisms. 

But the standard non upgrayyed 2 "D's for a double dose of pimping is just a kydex

that dangles from the belt and can be strapped to your leg. 

Which is awesome because it doesn't hit the ground when you are hypothetically wearing

it around the house for extended periods of time on your day off doing dishes and folding

laundry  In order to draw it use your thumb to pop it, you know like most kydex sheaths

dumbass.

 You know I'm a leather sheath kind of bro, but you know this one is pretty functional.

No deployment? 

Umm… comparison time? 

First up the Zombie tools Vakra.

Since I do have an official functional piece of garbage Bud K cheapie…

I can safely say the Vakra is longer and less tall from the side in places. 

Also overall fit and finish are better. 

The Bud K has a wood handle and a bump in the middle that I guess gives grip, but still

feels like a bump. 

What if hand axes and knives had a bump in the middle. 

The Zombie tools has a choil up front, so you have multiple grips options and a more

comfortable handle. 

I've had the Bud K for years and it's held up…

It's also discovered many hidden nails in wood over the years too… evidenced by all

the edge dings. 

Let's see? 

The Esee Junglas II… smaller than the Junglas I and the Vakra. 

I have chopped many things with this… seen my review of that?

This one has a comfortable handle- I wish the sheath was leg mountable.

Like a dog.

Costs about $180  How about the $14 or whatever the hell I paid Ontario Machete, which I still

plan on reviewing after sharpening it's dull ass. 

Apparently if you only spend 15-30 for a chopper it comes dull as shit.

Speaking of dull ass, let finish and get to chopping. 

If there's anything I like it's whacking my wood, then burning it. 

You know Zombie tools uses the words fuck and shit on their website? 

I mean I think fuck is an especially rude word. 

You know what pisses me off? 

You're like don't care… why can the walking dead get away with gore but not a

couple of fucks?

That's kind of fucked up if you think about it.

 Sorry it's just been one of those weeks.

Ok the Vakra is my new favorite chopper.

It has more meat behind it than my junglas, more weight in the blade means more wood flying. 

I like my Estwing camp axe and that works better for some things, you're like trees? 

Yeah Trees. 

But I like the leg sheath on the Vakra and for some reason I like the reach and the blade

shape of the kukri- it's probably over the years my favorite chopper shape- and a slightly

longer kukri means I can be less precise with my swings and hopefully find some more goddamn

nails. 

Also tang. 

It's long and thick, meaning the blade and spine. 

It has taken a beating, and it's perfect for my unique predicament of running a youtube

channel and also having large trees in my yard that I have to break up and burn because

for some illogical reason I don't want to take them to the dump. 

Plus I like starting fires.

I mean I don't have a truck anymore.

So it's kind of logical.

Well, if Antioch College has its way,

campus smooching will involve so many questions and answers.

You might want to bring your lawyer along.

These are the rules.

I don't think the sexual offense policy was anti-sex.

I loved sex then, and I love sex now.

I had a problem — and I still have a problem —

with people feeling like they can't

slow down enough to figure out what

the other person is really feeling.

#MeToo.

MeToo.

The person of the year is the #MeToo movement.

The same conflicts that we had in our discussions

in the early 1990s at Antioch College are happening now.

What is misconduct, and what isn't?

Is it the job of men to now decide when

women are capable of consent?

We did this 25 years ago.

It's just crazy to me that it's still an issue.

As it reaches the bedroom, as it reaches this male-female coming

together, women are saying what?

Women are saying, "Us too."

I see consent as a human issue.

If, from the point you meet somebody,

you're not seeing them as a person, that's a problem.

The difference is not necessarily

that we are where we want to be.

The difference is that people are talking about it now.

That's the difference.

Consent.

That's a tough one, isn't it?

Nonverbal, it's very tricky.

I think you have to be verbal.

All of these questions that we were talking about at Antioch

in our so-called bubble have now become dinner table

conversation.

We're going to talk to you all about sexual health and S.O.P.P.

[cheering]

This is a vagina.

And this is the butt.

This is actually simple.

If someone doesn't want to have sex with you,

don't have sex with them.

[applause]

So in 1991, a group of women at Antioch

began a campaign to promote a culture free of sexual violence

at Antioch.

This was Antioch in the '90s.

Antioch has a history of being a fairly radical place.

It was really pretty wild, very small.

When I came that fall, I look out,

and there are two people dancing around in the rain naked.

I'm like, where in the world did my mother leave me that people

dance around in the rain naked?

The campus foments this energy to make changes

to better our society.

And it always has had a safe feeling about it.

Antioch has this openness.

And I like that.

And then there was finding out that two women

had been raped on the campus.

So we decided that we should talk to other women on campus.

And so we called a meeting.

And I said, I'm going to that meeting.

I need to get a napkin.

O.K.

There were so many women in the room that night.

There weren't enough chairs for them.

We had hit a nerve.

At Antioch, we were playing with empowerment.

We were pretending we were empowered.

I know I was.

So when we discovered that there was a rape on campus,

we played with saying exactly what we wanted,

which was [bleep] that.

We decided to draft a list of demands.

We wanted people to understand that breaking someone's consent

in even the smallest of ways was connected to the most

violent of assaults.

But it didn't take long for us to figure out

that we had to define consent.

How do you have sex at Antioch College?

Very carefully.

You have to ask permission before each and every action,

from smooching to you-know-what.

At the time, that was considered outrageous

because it de-sexes the whole thing.

Political correctness and campus feminism run amok.

Sex is supposed to be mysterious and a little dangerous.

So we've got radio and TV spots —

The Sanford Florida Herald, The Daily Times Call

in Longmont, Colorado.

This went viral before going viral was even a thing.

Is how students get from first base to second base

really any of Antioch College's business?

This idea of women as asexual, things like the Antioch rules.

You now have to regulate romance in the interest

of protecting women.

A lot of erectile difficulties.

We were the laughing stock.

I was standing in our bookstore when someone from "S.N.L." called.

And they said, "Can we get one of your football jerseys?"

And we laughed.

[laughs]

"We don't have a football team."

The joke was on us.

Live from Antioch College in Antioch, Ohio,

it's time to play "Is It Date Rape?"

The idea that we were involved in some anti-sex crusade

was so laughable.

Antioch was a very sex-positive culture.

...sexual intimacy by feeling your buttocks?

We wanted to have as much of a sexual cornucopia as we wanted,

but we wanted to be asked if we wanted it.

I was devastated.

Frustration, anger, disappointment.

I was so embarrassed, and I felt humiliated.

I ended up leaving school.

I quit.

I think that "S.N.L." talked about S.O.P.P. in 1995,

which is when I was born.

'93? Then I wasn't born.

I wasn't even a twinkle in my mother's eye

yet when they did that.

Going in to Antioch, I had only heard about S.O.P.P.

through that skit.

All I could think of was I'm going to the school that

got made fun of.

Can anybody think of a time where

there was a movie that actually showed affirmative consent?

Anybody see "Frozen"?

At the end of "Frozen," when that dude is like,

"Can I kiss you?"

May I?

We me?

I mean, may we?

Wait, what?

We may.

This is the first time in a Disney movie

that somebody asked for consent.

[laughter]

"The S.O.P.P. is Antioch's formal attempt

at ending sexual violence while fostering

a campus culture of positive consensual sexuality."

...give you all a little bit more information.

It seems like it's such a big part

of the way of thinking now.

"Sex is like cooking."

"I want to cook for you."

"But if I cook for you now, will you

expect me to cook for you later?"

"And if I do cook for you later, will you

expect me to cook for you all the time?"

"I want to cook for you.

But what if you think my cooking sucks?"

"I want to cook for you, but can we talk about it

before I start cooking?"

I feel like it's good that this was here to give people

permission to talk about this.

In high school, relationships, it's like a game.

You have to swoon a girl and make her —

you have to — it feels like there's a lot of gray area

when it comes to one's first experience

with sexual intimacy.

But with this, it's so much easier

to become intimate with someone if you

know exactly where they're at and where

you're at yourself using verbal consent.

It's just more of a worldwide thing

that we can talk about things now.

And with social media, that has just exploded.

Somebody can say, hey, that happened to me,

and I didn't realize that's what that was.

I didn't realize that that counts as sexual assault.

Does it mean that women are empowered enough now

to say, not anymore?

Well, this is just the start.

And I've been saying from the beginning

that it's not just a moment.

It's a movement.

Me, too.

Me, too.

I have been sexually harassed.

We have to support each other, and stand together,

and say that's it.

We're done.

No more.

[chanting]

Do I feel vindicated, like you all finally caught up to us?

No.

I'm glad.

At the core of this whole conversation

is a question of, what does it mean to be heard?

And how is a person supposed to get themselves heard?

When you are bare with somebody else alone,

and this is the most intimate side of you,

and you ask somebody if they're O.K.,

I think that that is incredible.

It shouldn't feel like a novel idea, but it is.

Is there anything that Sen. John McCain won't blame President Donald Trump for?

The Arizona senator stretched logic and reason to its outer limits on Sunday to claim that

the chemical gas attack launched by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on his own people

was somehow President Trump's fault.

Sen. McCain, who is suffering from a rare and terminal form of brain cancer, said in

a statement that President Trump's talk of removing troops from Syria had "emboldened"

the Syrian despot.

According to McCain, that directly led to the chemical attack.

"President Trump last week signaled to the world that the United States would prematurely

withdraw from Syria.

Bashar Assad and his Russian and Iranian backers have heard him, and emboldened by American

inaction, Assad has reportedly launched another chemical attack against innocent men, women

and children, this time in Douma.

Initial accounts show dozens of innocent civilians, including children, have been targeted by

this vicious bombardment designed to burn and choke the human body and leave victims

writhing in unspeakable pain," the 81-year-old senator wrote.

"Crimes against humanity have become Assad's trademarks in his relentless campaign against

the people of Syria that has killed more than half a million people and forced 11 million

from their homes.

President Trump was quick to call out Assad today, along with the Russian and Iranian

governments, on Twitter.

The question now is whether he will do anything about it.

The President responded decisively when Assad used chemical weapons last year.

He should do so again, and demonstrate that Assad will pay a price for his war crimes,"

he said.

Sen. John McCain acknowledged that President Donald Trump is between a rock and a hard

place after eight years of former President Barack Obama's failed strategy in Syria.

But, judging by McCain's statement, he is itching for a war and regime change.

"To be sure, President Trump inherited bad options after years of inaction by his predecessor

in Syria.

History will render a bitter judgment on America for that failure.

But no one should believe we are out of options.

We can and should change course – starting with a comprehensive strategy that lays out

clear objectives for our mission there.

It's not too late to stop Assad's impunity and begin to rewrite this terrible chapter

in our history," he wrote.

On Sunday night, it appeared that President Trump had heeded the calls for action as the

Syrian media reported that an airstrike had commenced against its assets.

However, the Pentagon quickly denied that it had any responsibility for the alleged

attack.

The Syrian media said that the T-4 airbase in Homs had been hit by "several missiles"

in a "likely attack by the US," CNN reported.

The Syrian Arab News Agency said that there were several deaths and injuries from the

attack.

But the Pentagon said that those reports were incorrect.

"At this time, the Department of Defense is not conducting air strikes in Syria.

However, we continue to closely watch the situation and support the ongoing diplomatic

efforts to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable," it

said.

But if you are against the idea of war with Syria, the words "at this time" are not

a comfort.

President Trump has said there would be a "big price" to pay for the chemical attack,

and judging by how the president responded with air strikes after Assad committed a similar

attack in 2017, it is likely that military action is forthcoming.

With the stakes as high as they are and with Russian President Vladimir Putting saber rattling

in defense of Assad, what the world does not need is the sour grapes of an elderly senator

who cannot get past the fact that he could not win the presidency.

Sen. McCain has had a storied life.

He suffered as a prisoner of war in Vietnam and has served decades as a senator.

It is unfathomable that he wants to go out as a bitter, obstructionist, old man.

because it does cost more to stay on Disney property sometimes not that much

more but sometimes it does cost more and staying off property you can get more

space and staying on property you have a small stateroom but why do I say splurge

and stay on property oh you get to stay in the bubble of magic that sounds kind

of lame to some but if you're on this channel and you love all things Disney

it doesn't sound lame to you so I'm talking to you right now right splurge

stay on property you got to take advantage of these extra magic hours you

have the ability to make your Fastpass reservation 60 days before your check-in

date and if you're staying off it's 30 days before your check-in big and I will

be honest with you these rides that are the hottest rides now number one is

flight of passage animal kingdom this is so hard to get

even at 60 days it's hard to get unless you plan animal kingdom like the last

day of your trip then you have a chance of getting this fast pass but if you are

staying off property and you want to get this reservation at 30 days out I'm

sorry you don't have a chance typically don't that's how I feel you

may but the majority of people would not be able to ride that ride on a fast pass

you know you get the free Disney transportation not only from the MCO

Airport if you are flying into Orlando but you also get the buses to and from

the parks to Disney Springs to the water parks if you have park tickets for those

you will only come across Disney cast members that's it

and anyone who works at Disney has that Disney attitude of exceptional service

and quality attention to detail staying on property that is splurge number one I

highly recommend doing that and if you stay on Disney property you can also

work with a travel agency who specializes in Disney vacations the

second splurge the second splurge that I highly recommend some people always ask

me coral is it worth it to buy memory maker the answer is yes it is worth it

if you use it meaning memory maker is a package that

you can prepay and is for photographs at any Disney park or certain Disney rides

memory maker allows you access to download all of these images these

photos taken when you get home I will tell you that there are a ton of Disney

photographers scattered throughout the theme parks of various theme parks all

you have to do is go up to one of them you probably have seen them if you've

been to Magic Kingdom lined up Main Street where they just keep shooting

people in front of the castle so you just wait in line for a photographer ask

them to take your picture they're not just going to take one

picture they could take up to 10 to pictures doing different shots as

individual shots family shot sibling shots they could do some magic shots

where they say hold your hand out and you don't know why but when you look at

the picture there's Tinker Bell standing on your hand they can do a lot of these

things so if you are good about this and you go up to different photographers

throughout all of the parks and you use this service then absolutely it is worth

every penny if you buy in advance it's a hundred and sixty nine dollars if you

buy it when you are at the parks it is a hundred and ninety nine dollars and it

doesn't activate until three days after you're there so buy it in advance if

you're thinking about it I have come home from vacations where I have between

three and five hundred photos on memory maker that is worth it for a hundred and

sixty nine dollars these memories are priceless you may not have the

opportunity to go to Walt Disney World ever again and in that case I say

absolutely use it you may go to Disney World every year and you may find value

and purchasing that every year because you see the growth of your family

captured in these memories so number two splurge on memory maker if you can

number three splurge on a character meal especially if you're not on the Disney

Dining Plan and you have a limited time take one meal and consider splurging on

a character meal if you have children or you don't have children it's just an

experience and there are so many different character meal options you can

do them for breakfast lunch or dinner obviously breakfast would be the least

expensive so if money is really a factor consider doing a character meal for

breakfast but they have you know Winnie the Pooh and Friends they have obviously

the Fab five in a lot of them they have themed two princesses they have themes

in animal kingdom - Safari Mickey and Minnie etc they are just they

are a lot of fun they are a lot of fun and it's worth the splurge splurge

number four is considered doing a dessert party for fireworks viewing I highly

recommend them there's a desert party in Magic Kingdom for happily ever after

that I have done I loved it there's a desert party in Epcot to watch

illuminations there's two actually at Hollywood Studios one is for Fantasmic

which I've done and one is for the Star Wars fireworks which that one I have not

done but I have friends who did that and clients who did that who loved it so

that actually is on my list of things to do so consider splurging on one of those

dessert parties to not worry about finding a good place to view the

fireworks if watching the fireworks it's something that's high in your list and

you don't want to wait for hours in one spot to hold a piece of the sidewalk for

your feet spend a little money enjoy some desserts and then have a

specific area where you can view the fireworks trust me it'll be worth it and

the fifth thing to splurge on and this is gonna sound silly to some but to you

coffee lovers it doesn't sound silly splurge on Starbucks coffee not every

cup of coffee is created equally at Walt Disney World

you might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else but splurge on Starbucks

it's worth those few extra bucks and maybe one extra little bonus I know you

can get a lot of souvenirs before your trip and that will really save you some

money whether it's t-shirts or some stuffed animals especially if you have

children going with you little knickknacks like that that can help you

save money but splurge on at least one souvenir inside the parks something that

you actually purchase your favorite Park for example it could

be a pin I mean I have a lot of Disney pins and each one of these has a memory

especially the ones that I pick up at the theme park splurge on at least one

souvenir from the parks I think you'll appreciate having that thank you so much

2018 TOP 5 CROCHET HAIRS FOR BEACHES, CRUISES, SWIMMING, VACATIONING⭐️| LIA LAVON - Duration: 9:56.

Hey YouTube family it's your girl Lia back again with another video and as you

can see from the title today's video is a highly highly requested video. And it

is my 2018 beach, vacation, cruise wherever you're going crochet hair

rankings video. So it's my top 5 hairs that I believe these are my opinions

some of these may work for you some of these may not work for you but I believe

these will be the best vacation hairs that I've tried on my channel so far. So

I'm about 20-21 maybe crochet hairs deep right now that I've tried and so I

kind of calculated the hairs that I feel comfortable or I feel that would be best

for a vacation friendly. I made this video in 2017 but I guess the season has

come back around and people have been swapping me like what are your favorite

hair. Now you've tried more hairs. Do you like mane concept beach curl do

you like freetress beach curl. What's your hairs now that you would add to this

list. Some of the hairs you said on your last video don't even exist anymore. So

today's video is an updated version of that. So I got my flowy dress on even

though I'm in North Carolina right now and the weather ain't as you know

picture-perfect for Beach right now. We're going through a weird spring

season. Today's video I'm gonna embody the vacation. Believe that I'm in the

Bahamas right now and tell you guys what my top five hairs are. Now these are not

in any particular order but my number one hair is kind of in a order. It is

my number one hair. I love the Mane Concept Beach curl hair.

That hair whew. That hair I wore on my birthday so my birthday. So on my birthday I went to

Florida. You guys if you watched my birthday vlog video I had my mane

concept beach curl hair in and I didn't know that was my first time with mane

concept. I did not know how that hair was gonna interact with any kind of water

being out in the elements. You know the weather in Florida is a whole different

type of a thing. You can have rain one minute. You can have the sun out in

another 20 minutes. The humidity is different everything

about it is different but that hair held up well. I got it installed right before

I went on my trip wore it out and still wore it for several weeks. I have a wash

day routine with the mane concept beach curl. So if you want to see me washing

that hair and everything I'll leave that video up above. Now like I said that hair

was so incredible because it held up well. The curls did not

frizz after I got it wet. I was able to repeatedly get it wet and nothing

changed about the curls. If anything it looked a little bit better in my opinion. That was an incredible hair. Now the other mane concept hair that I haven't

showed on this channel yet but its Mane concept waterfall. Hopefully I can get

that video up before I'm posting this video but it was another hair that I

actually kind of like a little bit better than beach curl but I'm not gonna

do it to you yet. Not gonna spoil the surprise

with you and that hair yet. I enjoyed it. Now Mane Concept I made a little quip in

one of my videos where I say about Mane concept I like their hairs. They have

some incredible hairs but they are hard to find and hard to get on some shelves.

Mane Concept needs to do a better job I know they used to be called the ISIS

collection and so they're in a rebranding moment where you don't want

to be called ISIS anymore you want to be called something else. But

they're in a rebranding situation so they're hard to find.

Now I recently purchased this Mane Concept Sassy Curl hair that I've

been dying to try for so long. Took me forever to find this hair and it was on

this site called hairstopandshop, I'll leave it down below. Very fast shipping.

I spent my own coint on this hair and it was a very affordable. So if you're

looking for Mane Concept anywhere. I get a lot of questions where do I find Mancept

concept cuz it's not in stores and it's not in stores near me. Try hairstopandshop.

That was my first time ever trying them. They had fast shipping.

They had incredibly low prices for everything and it was free shipping at

that too. So if you're looking for something Mane Concept look at hair stop

and shop. And Mane Concept overall. I've only tried two hairs they have not

let me down in there two hairs. Mane Concept is really up there if you're

trying to get away from Freetress. You're trying to get away from Outre.

Try mane concept they are an incredible brand. Now the number two hair on my list

you guys know I loved it this hair. This was before I tried Freetress Presto

curl. Before I tried mane concept beach curl. This was my number one hair. It is

the Outre bohemian curl hair. Another incredible bad and like just

slayage beach kind of hair. Now I recommended

that hair to my roommate who's upstairs right now. She wore that when she went to

Cancun. So she went to Mexico I think it was last year sometime this time last

year she went to Mexico and she wore that hair and she slayed in that hair.

That hair was everything. So that's why it gets my seal of approval. She came

back his hair was still looking beautiful everything. So like I said

Outre bohemian curl that was one of my longest wearing hairs and I didn't even

touch water and she touched water and she still was able to get a lot of wear

out of that hair. So if you're looking for something Beach appropriate

Outre bohemian curl it's a beautiful curl. Now the hair that

launched this channel. The hair that my first ever video. The first ever video on

this channel Freetress Deep Twist hair. Y'all knew it was gonna be on this list

again had to do it again. That is the hair that launched this channel. It's

soley because of that hair I got it installed cuz I was going to cruise myself.

I was going to Nassau Bahamas. I was living up my Bahamas dream and I needed

a hair that was gonna hold up. Now I had was a sewin queen before crochet

hair. I always had sew-in in but I knew for this particular vacation I needed a

hair that was gonna hold up and that was gonna last and the Freetress deep

twist did just that. I dipped my head in water. I was swimming all over the place.

That little slide that people be going on at Atlantis I was on said slide.

Got soaked and that hair still held up incredibly incredibly well. Love that

hair. Now the next hair that I'm gonna talk

about is freetress deep twist was the reason I had this channel but why did I

start with crochet hair and it's solely because of the Freetress Bohemian braid

hair. Now my best friend Sasha you guys met her in my birthday blog video. In

that video she had in the Freetress Bohemian braid hair. She for the last

maybe three years has been a crochet hair queen and the only hair that she

has ever tried. She tried deep twist she hated it. She went right back to the

Freetress Bohemain braid hair. So anytime I see Sasha anytime you see her on this

channel don't ask what hair she got in. It's

bohemian braids. She wore that when we went to the beach for her birthday. I had never

seen crochet hair. I didn't know what it looked like. It was May 2016 and we went

swimming. I was at just took swimming lessons. You guys know summer 2016. I

was like i'ma learn how to swim. So I took swimming lessons and all that I had

a solo in in was a complete disaster was very high maintenance we went to the

beach we went swimming ourselves went to the hotel room everything was looking

fly about Sasha's here my hair was looking in disaster look at the picture

this is a so in this is a sewing that was not well maintained this

in bohemian braid her hair was looking slate so anytime we go anywhere near

water Sasha always got in bohemian braids hair and that hair holds up

tremendously with water now the last and final hair on my list is the free

transit Beach car as well a lot of people try to make me choose between

main concept Beach curl and free trust beach curl and I was like I can't choose

I can't choose now I would say main concept Beach curl I did like it a

little bit more the curls were more so and my bouncy spirally set now free tres

was a little bit more tighter than I'm used to but I still think and that was

an incredible hair too now I washed that hair I put that hair through a lot and

that hair still held up incredibly well that hair was a colored hair just like

main concept beach crow I got free tres beach girl and I have colored hair too

and normally colored hair is fail a lot of times color here is fair this hair

did not so if you're going to the beach I know they got Beach in them and it's

like you're partial to it because it says it's Beach no it's really good it

really is a good hair so those are my top 5 hairs I get a lot of questions and

let me address this right out there about hair is like this this is

sensational Jamaican bounce but people ask me about free shirts winglet Wong

curl and here's like that do I think they're good for Beach for me personally

I would say no no no no and the reason I say that is because these hairs are

beautiful they work so amazingly well on land but if you get this hair wet

repeatedly repeatedly repeatedly this hair has intend to see the frizz up a

wee bit if frizz is up and my free choice ringlets want curled video I went

that hair a little bit and if you don't what you guys don't see in that video is

right after I wet it I come on camera and I do a big thumbs up you got cut out

the video because I sat on the hair for maybe about six six hours and I let it

air dry a little bit who wants it air dried it was a frizz bomb and that's the

thing you want when you're on vacation you ain't got time to think about your

hair you can't put time back into your hair if you go on a cruise and you do a

dispersion off the cruise and you're getting that hair wet you can't run back

to the ship and do something to your hair you're off the ship for what eight

nine hours and then you're back in the room and then you can do what you want

to with the hair but what soon as you get off and you get the hair wet you

wanna be like oh and now I look a hot mess that's how I wasn't Bahamas Bahamas

I was like I got the air wet and I was still looking fly still be able to take

all my Atlantis pictures even after dipping my hair in water so these hairs

they they look good and you can dip them in water and they might look good

immediately following but I'd say about four hours later you're gonna be dealing

with a lot of frizz that may be able to be tamed but it will

I grew up in a family that didn't have much and we struggled a lot economically

and I was told, I can't tell you how many times, that when money's tight, when

there's not enough, you don't send the girl to college. There's no point in that.

I'm Elizabeth Warren let's Sip 'n Skimm.

So a lot of people look at Washington and think what Washington is about is

just getting a law passed...not so. You can actually make a difference, as a Senator

for example, by having a hearing and just, you know, biting hard on someone and

hanging on. I send letters, for example, over to

come in and talk about this? Until there are some consequences and some

accountability that comes from that.

Here are the two key questions people would want to focus in on. One is the

relationship between Russia, the Trump campaign, and Donald Trump himself. The

second is one that Congress is responsible for and that is the Russians

hacked into our systems, are we making our system safe so that it won't happen

again in 2018, again in 2020? In a democracy the thing

we've gotta count on is if you vote, your votes going to get counted.

We're not gonna know it actually worked until everywhere...until that guy who's

the shift manager, who's been trading sex for the good work hours, decides he can't

do that anymore. Until the boss, who tells the dirty jokes and makes

comments about women's bodies every time they walk by, decides he better back off

from them.

It's the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and its job is to make sure you

don't just get totally cheated and ripped off on credit cards, on student

loans, on mortgages, by your bank, that's the basic idea. It's kind of the cop on

the beat for you. You know how you don't have to know a wiring diagram to buy a

toaster they just can't sell you toasters that

explode randomly. The idea is this is a new agency in place, only been there a

few years, but it's supposed to do the same kind of thing. Make sure that those

basic products don't have a lot of hidden tricks and traps and to be there

for you as a consumer if you do get cheated.

Look I'm not running for President I'm running for Senate and I'm taking

nothing for granted in that race but, let me tell you one little story. When I

first ran for the United States Senate I made a point that every little girl I

met I'd get down, sometimes you have to get down a little bit lower, and I would say

my name is Elizabeth and I'm running for the United States Senate because that's

what girls do and that's how America is changing.

It's that women run for office women, women become bosses, women speak up. You know

there's an old saying if you don't have a seat at the table you're probably on

today I'm going to be drinking my coffee and sharing five things at Walt Disney

World that I feel is very valuable to splurge on stay tuned these are some

photos I've had of my family from years and years ago at Walt Disney World

these were memory maker photos and I had it made into a mug through Disney site

awesome this was like the best keepsake ever so five things that are worth

splurging on at Walt Disney World number one this could be a splurge to

some not others but to some it would be a splurge and that is staying on Disney

property why do I say this would be a splurge well quite frankly the reality

is you can probably stay off property for less so to some it will be a splurge

because it does cost more to stay on Disney property sometimes not that much

more but sometimes it does cost more and staying off property you can get more

space and staying on property you have a small stateroom but why do I say splurge

and stay on property oh you get to stay in the bubble of magic that sounds kind

of lame to some but if you're on this channel and you love all things Disney

it doesn't sound lame to you so I'm talking to you right now right splurge

stay on property you got to take advantage of these extra magic hours you

have the ability to make your Fastpass reservation 60 days before your check-in

date and if you're staying off it's 30 days before your check-in big and I will

be honest with you these rides that are the hottest rides now number one is

flight of passage animal kingdom this is so hard to get

even at 60 days it's hard to get unless you plan animal kingdom like the last

day of your trip then you have a chance of getting this fast pass but if you are

staying off property and you want to get this reservation at 30 days out I'm

sorry you don't have a chance typically don't that's how I feel you

may but the majority of people would not be able to ride that ride on a fast pass

you know you get the free Disney transportation not only from the MCO

Airport if you are flying into Orlando but you also get the buses to and from

the parks to Disney Springs to the water parks if you have park tickets for those

you will only come across Disney cast members that's it

and anyone who works at Disney has that Disney attitude of exceptional service

and quality attention to detail staying on property that is splurge number one I

highly recommend doing that and if you stay on Disney property you can also

work with a travel agency who specializes in Disney vacations the

second splurge the second splurge that I highly recommend some people always ask

me coral is it worth it to buy memory maker the answer is yes it is worth it

if you use it meaning memory maker is a package that

you can prepay and is for photographs at any Disney park or certain Disney rides

memory maker allows you access to download all of these images these

photos taken when you get home I will tell you that there are a ton of Disney

photographers scattered throughout the theme parks of various theme parks all

you have to do is go up to one of them you probably have seen them if you've

been to Magic Kingdom lined up Main Street where they just keep shooting

people in front of the castle so you just wait in line for a photographer ask

them to take your picture they're not just going to take one

picture they could take up to 10 to pictures doing different shots as

individual shots family shot sibling shots they could do some magic shots

where they say hold your hand out and you don't know why but when you look at

the picture there's Tinker Bell standing on your hand they can do a lot of these

things so if you are good about this and you go up to different photographers

throughout all of the parks and you use this service then absolutely it is worth

every penny if you buy in advance it's a hundred and sixty nine dollars if you

buy it when you are at the parks it is a hundred and ninety nine dollars and it

doesn't activate until three days after you're there so buy it in advance if

you're thinking about it I have come home from vacations where I have between

three and five hundred photos on memory maker that is worth it for a hundred and

sixty nine dollars these memories are priceless you may not have the

opportunity to go to Walt Disney World ever again and in that case I say

absolutely use it you may go to Disney World every year and you may find value

and purchasing that every year because you see the growth of your family

captured in these memories so number two splurge on memory maker if you can

number three splurge on a character meal especially if you're not on the Disney

Dining Plan and you have a limited time take one meal and consider splurging on

a character meal if you have children or you don't have children it's just an

experience and there are so many different character meal options you can

do them for breakfast lunch or dinner obviously breakfast would be the least

expensive so if money is really a factor consider doing a character meal for

breakfast but they have you know Winnie the Pooh and Friends they have obviously

the Fab five in a lot of them they have themed two princesses they have themes

in animal kingdom - Safari Mickey and Minnie etc they are just they

are a lot of fun they are a lot of fun and it's worth the splurge splurge

number four is considered doing a dessert party for fireworks viewing I highly

recommend them there's a desert party in Magic Kingdom for happily ever after

that I have done I loved it there's a desert party in Epcot to watch

illuminations there's two actually at Hollywood Studios one is for Fantasmic

which I've done and one is for the Star Wars fireworks which that one I have not

done but I have friends who did that and clients who did that who loved it so

that actually is on my list of things to do so consider splurging on one of those

dessert parties to not worry about finding a good place to view the

fireworks if watching the fireworks it's something that's high in your list and

you don't want to wait for hours in one spot to hold a piece of the sidewalk for

your feet spend a little money enjoy some desserts and then have a

specific area where you can view the fireworks trust me it'll be worth it and

the fifth thing to splurge on and this is gonna sound silly to some but to you

coffee lovers it doesn't sound silly splurge on Starbucks coffee not every

cup of coffee is created equally at Walt Disney World

you might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else but splurge on Starbucks

it's worth those few extra bucks and maybe one extra little bonus I know you

can get a lot of souvenirs before your trip and that will really save you some

money whether it's t-shirts or some stuffed animals especially if you have

children going with you little knickknacks like that that can help you

save money but splurge on at least one souvenir inside the parks something that

you actually purchase your favorite Park for example it could

be a pin I mean I have a lot of Disney pins and each one of these has a memory

especially the ones that I pick up at the theme park splurge on at least one

souvenir from the parks I think you'll appreciate having that thank you so much

The first step to removing procrastination from your life once and for all isto define

the real causes.

Whenever you put off working on a project or getting anything done, there's usually

a motive for that.

It might not be obvious so you need to dig deeper.

Some common reasons why weprocrastinate include: lacking the motivation to start and complete

the task; not being sure whether we're working on the right thing; fearing failure; not being

organized and not knowing where to start; low energy levels; lack of focus; and more.

The single best thing you can do today to live a life free from procrastination in the

near future isto get to the main cause of that.

Once you know it, you'llbe able to make a plan on how to stop it and become productive

instead.

So, for example, if you realize you fear failure, then you'll need to make a mindset shift.

Tell yourself that failure is a stepping stone to success and if you keep putting in the

work, you'll eventually succeed.

Ifit's the lack of focus or energy that's causing procrastination, then you need to

rethink how you're spending your days.

Maybe you should wake up earlier, ditch the junk food, have a workout every day, removethe

distractions around you, have a better working environment, or else.

All these will help you concentrate easily when you get to work and you'll have the

energy to not just start, but finish what you started.

The next thing you should doto stop being a procrastinator isto break the bad habit

of overthinking.

See, procrastination happens when we'reabout to start something but then allow our mind

to come up with excuses asto why we can leave it for later.

Then, we think of plenty ofother things todo right now and leave the important task for

later.

But later means you'll never get to it, will keep putting it off, or will just get

itdone quickly as there will be many other little tasks waiting tobecompleted.

Don't get into the habit of doing that.

Instead, have control over your mind and stop overthinking.

That can happen by noticing when you're about to start making excuses.

Then, gather your willpower and say 'no'to the inner voices telling you why it's okay

toprocrastinate.

And instead get up and do the work.

You'll feel great after that.

My next best tip on removing procrastination isto have routines.

These are powerful as simple practices done daily can help us get in the right mood and

mental state todo focused work, even ifwe don't feel like it.

It could be waking up early and having a morning routine, after which you'd get to your most

important things for the day and will complete them in one go.

It will take time to develop a routine and stick toitnomatter what.

But it's worth the time and effort as once it becomes a repetitive behavior, procrastination

will no longer have control over you.

The next step on your journey should beto break big projects into smaller ones.

Sounds simple but we rarely do it.

If you give this technique a chance, though, you'll find out that big goals or tasks

don't scare or overwhelm you anymore.

Once you know the first steps, you don't need to think about the next ones.

You can just focus on the first one on the list and take it.

That means you'll get a quick win byaccomplishing it and will feel good about yourself.

And this is a great way to build momentum and repeat the action right after it.

And here's another great rule to motivate you to get more done instead of procrastinating

- start super small.

What I mean by that is, whenever you're facing a big project or a challenging task,

don't leave it for later but do one thing related toit that takes less than 5 minutes.

That could be making a call, replying toan email, writing down what you're going to

do, doing a quick research, taking a decision, etc.

This will get you started and that's all you need to keep going until you actually

do the work.

Finally, write everything down.

The written word is a pretty powerful thing.

The moment you set a goal, you should write it down, give it a deadline and break it down

into smaller steps.

The same goes for any activity you have todo today or even little task that's on your

list.

Decide when you're going to work on it and how you'll start, and write that down too.

This makes it easier to commit and begin.

Now you're ready to fight procrastination the next time you face it.

our topic of the day marketing advertising and sales what is the

difference so marketing marketing is more about visibility how making

yourself visible to others so I'm doing marketing right now by doing this live

stream I'm making myself visible old-school years ago it used to be

pudding fly advertise are putting things on

Billboard's or putting things in magazines we still see today companies

sponsoring events some of your bigger names will sponsor different sporting

events so that they can get their name out there that's creating awareness of

their brand they're being visible that's market that's the one thing the second

one and actually a lot of people will say oh I don't like marketing or I don't

like this or that you may it's not that you may not like marking there may be

some aspect that you don't like and it may be something other than the

marketing so that's marketing advertise advertising is more of a specific event

or product or maybe something that's time-sensitive and that's where you're

saying here's this thing I have come and buy it come and buy it and you're

telling people about this thing that you want them to come and buy or purchase or

come to that's advertising you're advertising a particular event sales is

actually closing of the deal and taking the money and depending on what type of

event you're talking about it can happen in different ways

a lot of sales now is taking place online it used to be that a lot of sales

would take place person-to-person and and it still does

pay a lot more than we realize but there and there are some products that are

higher-end products that take along what we would call a sales cycle

hey dr. Mike and in that sales cycle it involves people talking and sending out

marketing pieces and maybe sending some advertising pieces and they use maybe

all of these pieces the marketing the advertising and the sales to actually

get the money and another another thing that we use nowadays for the sales is

something called copywriting so whether you're doing marketing or advertising

the sales part of that nail is with the copywriter so those are people who

understand what words to use they know about human psychology and what kind of

things are going to educate and curry and help that buyer know whether or not

they want to purchase something and nowadays with the internet things are a

little different in that it's not so much we go to a place and do research to

find out a product and talk to a bunch of people we do our research online

right now and then by the time we get to that place we're probably pretty much

ready to buy so as small business owners by putting content out like this which

I'm putting out for you it's a way of us help educating our customers our

potential customers and clients so that when they're ready to buy they already

have relationship with us so we've already done our marketing they already

understand these things and then the sale happens so I hope you can see how

all of these things are a little bit different and yet they're kind of

intermixed as well so maybe you don't like a lot of sales or a lot of

advertising then spend more time on marketing if you don't want to do market

well I think everybody needs to do marketing but if you don't like to do

marketing then you're gonna need to put more emphasis

on those other things although I'll tell you right up

advertising is probably not going to convert for you as well these days

especially with Millennials and Gen X's there they're going for something

different than what and what boomers are used to with advertising so those are

just some things to keep in mind so let me use this that I'm doing right now as

another illustration for you so I'm doing a live stream creating video

content so this is marketing and we're building relationship if you're watching

this you're building a relationship with me you're getting to know me a little

bit better this is why I call myself a relationship marketing strategist but

I'm also running an entry into a contest so that's kind of like the advertising

piece because it's time-sensitive right you this contest is only going for a

week or five or six days at this point I'll have to post the dating later but

it's only going for a limited time so this is a little bit of advertising for

the book that I was telling you about did I tell you about the book hmm maybe

I didn't well let me tell you about the book the book is I was part of a

collaborative where I contributed to a book along with several other authors to

create some inspirational content to help you in your business day so to get

that the way that I'm celebrating that I am actually in the book that I have some

pieces that I submitted that got into the book is I'm doing this giveaway so

that's your advertising piece so that's your advertising piece the giving giving

away the book now if this was my own book that I had written then I would

also be going for the sale so I'm offering the book as a contest for

somebody to win it but if somebody really wants the book and they don't

want to wait to see if they win they would maybe just go ahead and buy and

actually if that's what I was trying to do the content of this video would be

different I would be telling you about the book and how it can benefit your

life and the things that it's going to help you accomplish so that you would

want to read the book and then you would want to purchase it

and then once you've purchased it then I've made the sale based on the content

that I was sharing so as you can see there they're all kind of intertwined

but they're but they're all separate pieces as well so I hope that explains

to you or gives you a little bit of better understanding of the difference

between marketing advertising and sales and you know where is it that you need
