Youtube daily report Nov 15 2018

MAN: Are you ready to make history, commander?

WOMAN: The board and all of our partners are extremely eager to

see the realization of everything we've worked toward.

MAN: The mission is officially ready to launch today.

WOMAN: We know we made the right choice

in trusting this project to you.

MAN: The colony you establish is going to serve

as a beacon of hope for countless future generations

who adopt this new way of life.

WOMAN: You've been provided with every advantage we can bring to

bear in order to ensure we establish a foothold quickly

and stay on track to meet projections.

MAN: The world is going to look to us as an example for future

efforts, and it's important that we set the right tone.

WOMAN: And as the field expands to allow other efforts,

it will be critical to maintain a competitive position.

You may eventually wish to consider sourcing additional

personnel on a more local level.

MAN: And it really should not come as a surprise if we find

additional colony hopefuls

who share our vision for the development of Mars.

So if we're going to build a sustainable, forward-looking

colony and set the bar for everyone who follows our lead...

WOMAN: ...we can't afford to be anything other than number one

if this project is going to be a success.

So more than anything else...

BOTH: ...we need to get started right away.

Muesli Milk | All Nigerian Recipes - Duration: 6:57.

Hey guys, today I'm here to share with you the things I discover

when I'm in a saving the day kind of situation.

Yes!

My husband is someone that

likes to eat healthy.

Yes!

He eats these kinds of breads that contain nuts and bolts,

very busy looking bread like when you look at it there are so many nuts,

brown bread and all that.

He likes dry fruits cereals that contain lots of nuts and dry fruits.

Recently he want to LIDL, LIDL Supermarket.

You have it all over Europe.

And he bought this muesli, mixture of cereals, nuts, dry fruits.

And he came home, had it once and he didn't like it.

I was like, why don't you like it, it doesn't even look as busy as the muesli you normally

eat.

He said that it tasted strange.

And then he dumped the muesli in the cupboard and it has been there for a while.

Today I was clearing the cupboard and I asked him if he still interested in the muesli,

he said no and usually when he is not interested in such things,

it's going to the bin because neither I nor my kids like busy cereal.

So I decided to use it to make muesli milk.

This is the cereal.

I don't want to throw it away so I'll use it to make milk.

I prefer drinking to chewing.

I don't like chewing so I will try making milk with this.

Let's go, let's go, let's make the milk!

So I pour it into a bowl.

Remember this is 1 kilo of muesli minus one serving that hubby took.

Pour filtered water to the same level as the muesli.

If you don't have filtered water, use bottled water.

Stir ...

And cover it for about 5 hours.

I was not sure how long to soak it that first time

that's why I left it till 5 hours but I guess 3 hours would have been ok.

But if you are not in a hurry to enjoy this goodness, leave it for 5 hours.

This is what it looks like after 5 hours.

Put it in a blender.

For the smoothest blend, I start with water that is just under the level of the muesli.

When I get a good blend, I pour more water to get it to the

consistency of whole milk or evaporated milk.

The consistency is up to you really.

Pour into a bowl lined with a chiffon cloth, cheese cloth or milk bag.

This is my rig up because I was tired of holding it.

Squeeze it out with thongs.

Honestly, your hands are the best for this.

Your hands are the cleanest part of your body because you wash it so often.

So, use your hands for this part!

I am not going to show that part on camera because

I don't want internet citizens that put their hands in strange places

to come after me today.

Hahahaha

Today, I just want people to watch this video, click the like button

and go and try this muesli milk in peace.

That said, have you liked this video yet?

Have you?

Have you?

Yes, today I want people to go and try this muesli milk then come back and testify.

Here it is!

Glorious!

I got 3 litres of muesli milk from almost 1 kilo of muesli.

The truth is that I did not expect this to give me so much milk.

If I had known, I would have used half a kilo.

Here's the chaff.

I used it to make muesli fufu.

Watch out for the video soon.

I kept it in the FRIDGE for 48 hours and it was still great.

When you bring it out of the fridge it will be separated like this.

Give it a good shake and it will come back to normal.

I have not tried keeping it for longer than 48 hours

because we drank up all that milk in 2 days!

Now hubby has gone and stocked up on the exact muesli like it's going out of fashion.

That means it's now muesli milk for us till whenever.

Tigernuts milk has been relegated to the background.

I love this muesli milk because I don't feel bloated after drinking it.

I love having it with puff puff.

I hope you enjoyed the video.

Bah byeee, see you soon!

Kidney Disease Diet — How Sanna Reversed Stage 3 Kidney Disease - Duration: 9:33.

My stage 3 kidney disease is actually in remission.

My name is Sanna, I live in Rovaniemi, Finland.

I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2007, when I was 16 years old.

So, I've been living with diabetes for 11 years now.

So, it's been kind of hard here, the last few years, lab work has been

very, very bad.

I've had, for example, albumin creatinine 290 in this

year's February.

That's when I ended up with you guys, Mastering Diabetes,

and I started to follow an about half raw, half cooked version of it.

And, in ten weeks, only in ten weeks, my kidney

disease biomarkers were dropped, for example, the albumin creatinine

value was 180.

Which is two and half folds lower than the one that was

in February, this year.

Over the summer and the fall, I had this intuitive feeling that I needed

to do more, I just have to do more, so I transitioned to fully raw vegan

food.

And then it happened, the biomarker I was talking earlier, albumin

creatinine value was dropped to 37, 37.

Which is amazingly low.

Actually, it's so low that I don't have to see my kidney

doctor anymore.

I'm in remission, which is awesome, because I have

had this disease almost 6 years, and there's nothing that could have

helped me.

And then, Mastering Diabetes came along and now I'm here.

I'm almost cured completely.

And I believe it will go that way.

When you have stage 3 kidney disease, eventually it goes to dialysis and

transplantation, and those are those are awful, awful things.

Some people who have stage 3 kidney disease even die from

it, so there has been a huge fear in my life, as I am a mother of two little

lovely girls.

Your results are so good that these cannot be caused by any medication.

So, what on earth are you doing here?

So, I told her about my plant-based lifestyle, and fully raw lifestyle.

And she agreed that they are the key factor in healing me, and my kidneys.

The result, the protein in my urine it was 4.7 grams in February this year, and

1.7 grams in April this year, and now, in September, it's 0.5 grams.

Which is amazing.

I've had that low number, last time in 2012, before I got pregnant

with my first child.

So, feels amazing, and I feel it, I actually feel

it in my in my body, in my spirit, in my everyday life that I can do

things I haven't been able to do in a long time.

The albumin creatinine was 290 in February this year, and now it's 37.

I can't stop smiling!

I'm so happy that I actually have a future with my

family.

I was afraid, one year ago, I was afraid that I wouldn't get to

see my children grow, and to live my happy, amazing life with my husband.

And to not have a life, that was my biggest fear.

But now, I see the future is there coming.

And I saw this comment where someone said that she

had been living with plant-based lifestyle for 17 years, and I thought "Oh

my geez!

I will be that, I will get there.

I will be the person that says, I've been living a plant-based lifestyle for

17 years" I'm so happy.

I cannot believe any other lifestyle I would

ever want to live.

My stage 3 kidney disease is actually in remission.

And I don't have to see my kidney doctor anymore.

So, from now on I actually have to see my diabetes doctor for, once or twice a year,

which is awesome.

Because I had the low-carb diet as background, I was a little confused, I

felt that I was betrayed with low-carb things.

Because they say it's a healthy diet, and I actually thought "I am

eating food I should be eating."

And so, it was kind of, a little shock to learn that everything I

had done in the past, was completely wrong.

Actually I did low-carb diet for six years, which sounds very bad.

As you know how bad this kidney disease went.

But then, I was kind of plant-based, because I had some olive oil in my

diet during last fall, but when I started your actual program in February,

then I learned that I have to ditch the oils completely, and then started

to happen things that I have been dreaming.

I love mango!

I'm like Mangoman, Cyrus.

And I love pineapples, and I love salads, and I have even learn to love apple

cider vinegar.

I love all of it.

Now that I'm actually raw, I think there's so much more change

happening to me, and me dealing with my diseases.

And in my mind everything, I think, some kind of curtain

has been ripped off, of my mind, and my eyes, in front of my eyes, and I feel

mentally so alert and happy, and excited.

I have even managed to get my mother to do this.

I'm so excited about that.

So, anyone who is living with stage 3, or any other stage kidney disease,

I would say do what Mastering Diabetes, and I recommend highly this raw

version of it.

Fully raw is the key that has cured me to this point.

And I would say just stick to it.

If I remember correctly, it took about 2 weeks at the beginning to get used to everything

and not to crave bad foods anymore.

And after I had finished the 2 weeks, it was all clear, I didn't

even wanted to touch anything that was bad for me.

And this actually happened twice, when I started raw, fully

raw diet of foods, it was a little bit smaller than the first time.

But now, it's even stronger, the feeling, the gut, that I don't want to consume

anything that's bad for me, or my kidneys, or my blood sugars, or anything

in me.

And, yes, this food is magical!

Really!

Blueface "Respect My Crypn" Official Lyrics & Meaning | Verified - Duration: 4:39.

I like to kill people, so you know.

No, I was just fucking with ya'll, I was just fucking with ya'll!

I had just left the hood, I just ran three fades back to back.

Niggas, sayin' this or sayin' that.

Just off respect really.

So, once I did that I kind of felt a little accomplished, you know.

I didn't have no marks or nothin' on my face so I didn't look like I ran three fades.

So, it was more just like a agression inside of me just came out into the mic.

All my songs is really like players, smooth, groovy, dancy.

This song was real Cripped out like, nigga, schoolyard or nothin' really.

Schoolyard or don't bang.

I love the jokes, man, it's entertaining.

Ya'll love jokes, of course, obviously.

That bar right there is just "catch 'em slippin'", like, you know, "I'm a step ahead of you.

I'm not fittna to go tit for tat with you.

That was all some 007 type shit.

Big, chunky mac in the briefcase.

I bounce out with that, man, it's time to handle business, man.

It's over with.

Janky is more like a hood term.

That's what we say where I'm from.

Janky is grimy, mean.

I don't look grimy or mean, so that's why I say "janky baby, I just look like this,

fuck nigga mean?"

Somebody tries to take my chain, for instance, I'm gonna try to slide 'em, I'm gonna try

something, unless I got my blower on me.

Then, I might take it off and let you turn around and walk off with it, you feel me?

And then handle business, but I'ma die for my respect.

Period.

I had my first son, he's a year and a half now, and I've been rapping for a year.

Basically, when he was born, I had to go harder than hard.

To actually make it happen and actually be grown and independent and able to feed me

and my family, that's what really inspired that line.

Not just living for me no more.

A lotta niggas get cold feet cuz they scared to go to jail.

They scared to go in there and run them head ups, behind the bunks, and do what they gotta do.

I don't wish jail on nobody though, it's not a great time.

It's really nowhere you should wanna be.

Everybody claim they hot, though.

Everybody claim they with the shits, and everything.

But, you'll find out in that investigation room.

When I started really blowing up.

People started speaking on my crypn, how I'm crypn, how I look crypn.

Once all the bitches started going crazy, that's when the haters started going crazy.

I mean, come on, look at me.

Come on.

Let me hit em with a little something.

Yeah.

Come on.

I'm selfish as fuck.

Listen.

If ya'll wanna be successful, you gotta be selfish.

If you've worried about what this man or that man doing, what you doing?

Don't get me confused, I'm not sayin' "don't share your peanut butter and jelly sandwich

or your motherfuckin' water", that's not what I mean by being selfish.

I'm saying you gotta be selfish with all opportunities and doors that open up.

That's just another funny line.

I'm just a genius.

Just clever line.

A genius on Genius.

This is Genius, right?

See?

I'm a genius.

That's how I know I'm a genius, ya'll just verified it.

I'm a motherfucking Genius.

Bop, yeah.

I see a lot of this rappers wearing these little bullshit ass chains, they not chains,

they necklaces.

I done fucked up, I only wore one chain today.

This my first custom piece.

Obviously, Ben Frank is my signature, Blueface is my name.

Named after Blueface, the blue hundred dollar bills, the blue flex.

Everybody think it's because I'm a cryp.

That, too, fuck it.

That, too.

School yard.

It's controversial, two meanings.

I get reckless when I get I got a purpose to be reckless.

I'm not a reckless guy just off the rip.

Like, fuck everybody.

But, if you fuck me, then I'm gonna get reckless.

I'm gonna fuck you.

I'm gonna rip your asshole on the set, gonna get yeasty.

Yeasty.

Trying to give em some personality in this bitch.

BRAZIL IN TEARS ... SUNDAY IS IN HONOR OF CREATION - CATHECHISM ... - Duration: 2:36.

To be a Catholic is to believe that Jesus is God.

Some think that Jesus really existed but that he was a man or a prophet.

Christians say that Jesus and God is same, even though he said he was the

son of man or the son of God ... He wanted to make us understand that he was

very close to the Creator. You must know that if he had said he was God

he would have been considered a blasphemer ...

To be a Catholic is to live one's life normally, with wife, kids, pool, house and a

good job ... no one will blame you for your attitude with God, you are fully

free and unguarded. For families who want to transmit

their values and morals as well as their root to their child they have to baptize their

child and enroll them in the catechism, the catechism is the learning of life

Jesus and some explanations for being a good Catholic ...

the child is free, he is free to live his religion like he wants.

The French Catholic Church is just asking not to commit sin and to respect

the 10 commandments these are 10 rules a do not commit to not attract

the suffering ... you will find these 10 commandments on the internet

Catholics gather once a week, on Sundays ... I remind you that the

Sunday is not worked in memory of the creation of the world.

Catholics gather for 1 hour ... to do what jesus asked before

and after his death, share the bread and the wine between us ... and especially pray all

together ….

Top 10 Scary SCP 087 Facts That Will Keep You Up At Night - Duration: 11:16.

Welcome, one and all, to a brand new series on the channel.

You guys have loved the SCP videos so much that we thought - how can we do something

new with them?

Well, how about breaking down some of the best SCPs in detail?

Sometimes when I talk about SCPs, I have so much more to say but I have to cut it short

so that I can talk about the next one - not in this video - today Im talking about SCP

087, one of the most famous and most feared of all the SCPs.

Lets take a step down into the darkness.

My name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary SCP 087 Facts That Will Keep You

Up At Night.

Starting off at number 10 we have The Recap.

Were gonna have a lot of interesting theories, discussions and facts about 087 in this video

so I think its best to start with a recap - a bunch of 087 facts packed in to one point

to start off with.

Essentially, SCP 087 is a dark staircase that descends seemingly forever.

Any light higher than 75 watts is ineffective in lighting up the staircase much more than

a single flight of stairs.

After a few flights down, a little girls voice can be heard below, crying out for help.

She sounds like shes about 200m below but as you descend, the girl never sounds any

nearer.

After descending for long enough, SCP agents have encountered some sort of being - basically,

its a bodyless face.

It has no pupils, nostrils or a mouth.

The face is referred to as 087-1.

Those who have encountered it have experienced intense paranoia and fear before the encounter,

and then sheer terror during the encounter.

Now, lets talk details.

Moving on to number 9 we have Exploration 1[a].

This was the first time the SCP sent one of its agents down to investigate.

In the report, the agent is referred to as D-8432 and described as a 43 year old Caucasian

male of average build and appearance and unremarkable psychological background.

It also says that he is a -Class D- agent because he mishandled a case involving a different

SCP, specifically which SCP has been redacted.

Also redacted is the name of the Doctor at control who the agent is reporting to using

an audio headset.

This first mission was where the SCP first realised that excess light gets absorbed,

that the staircase seems to be infinite and that the little girls crying never gets any

closer.

It was also the first time they encountered SCP-087-1, more commonly known as the floating

face that caused the agent to run for their life to the top of the stairs …

Next up at number 8 we have The Game[b].

There is actually an experimental horror game that is based on 087.

Its called SCP-087-B. It was made by someone called Regalis.

The gameplay leads the player through hallways and down staircases while attempting to avoid

monsters.

There are a total of 270 floots in the game.

On the 250th floor, the walls close in on the player and they will be ambushed.

I wont say any more on that as I feel Im veering dangerously close to spoiler territory … suffice

to say that there are many hallways, rooms, paths and mazes to challenge the player - and

of course many scary monsters with uniquely disturbing mechanics and quotes.

The game has proved to be very popular among the SCP fanbase and has been credited as the

stepping stone for the creation of an even bigger game - SCP - Containment Breach.

Next up at number 7 we have The Author[c].

Sorry to burst the bubble for anyone here but as much as we all love the SCP Foundation

- its fiction.

Don't worry, were gonna jump right back into that world in the next point but for now,

I wanted to give credit to the author.

I did some digging and found out that the Author is called Zaeyde.

He submitted the 087 story to the SCP Wiki on the 10th of December 2009 which means in

about a years time - the story will be a decade old in a year from the time of recording this

video.

Have a look at the date today - if its after December 10th 2019, then the story of 087

is over a decade old.

It was a slow rise to fame for this story and its been tweaked a lot since then - but

its age and popularity is a testament to its success - its already inspired a game - whats

next for 087?

Moving on to number 6 now we have Exploration 2[d].

This was the next attempt to explore 087.

The agent was a 28 year old male who was equipped with more lights for his voyage down the stairs.

He was given 100 small LED lights with adhesive backs on them to stick onto the wall after

each flight of stairs.

Just like the first time, he continued down and could hear the little girl deep below.

This time though, he stopped at the 51st landing.

Footage shows an arced gouge in the concrete wall, estimated to be approximately 50 cm

long and 10 cm wide.

The first step down was smashed into rubble.

It looked like something had smashed through the wall.

The gouge mark was as smooth as glass.

The agent continued all the way down to the 89th landing.

He was confronted by the face at this point, about 74 minutes after the exploration began.

Just like the last agent, he freaked out and began running up the stairs, despite the doctor

pleading with him to stop and get a better look at the face.

He collapsed on the 17th landing for almost 15 minutes.

The Control Room picked up the sound of a rapid heartbeat that didnt belong to the agent

along with a strange crackling noise.

When he woke up, he ran all the way to the top, sat down and then fell into a coma.

Moving on to number 5 we have Exploration 3[e].

No need to explain this now, this was the Foundations 3rd attempt at exploring 087.

They used a 23 year old female as their new agent.

As she descended, she didnt find any of the lights that had been placed on the walls during

the last exploration.

She also heard the girl crying.

When she got the 17th landing - the same landing where the last agent collapsed - she found

something on the ground that smelt really bad - it was sticky and stuck to her shoe.

She said it smelt like metal and urine.

She passed the 51st landing with the strange slash mark.

When she reached the 89th floor - instead of the face, she found a hole - it was about

1m in diameter and she almost fell inside.

A light flashed from inside the hole for a moment.

The Doctor advised her to continue.

She continued to the 469th landing, 1.8km below the entrance - and still the girl below

sounded no closer.

Then, she encountered the face behind her.

She tried to get away by running down the stairs - eventually she tripped and fell unconscious.

The face was seen approaching the camera, staring right into the lens, then the audio

and video cut out for good.

Coming in at number 4 we have the Psychological Backgrounds.

One thing you may notice when looking through the exploration records is that they always

refer to the psychological background of the agent.

In the first exploration, the agent is described as having an -unremarkable psychological background-

… at first this doesnt really stand out, it seems like irrelevant information.

Maybe it is - but then when you look at the Exploration 2, the agents psychological background

indicates, quote -no abnormalities except an extreme hatred for women- end quote.

It also says he has an extensive record of something that has been expunged from the

record.

Finally, exploration 3 described the agent sent in as having a history of depression.

Why was this included?

You might say it was just because the foundation wanted to keep strict records of everything

that happened in each exploration.

Or - maybe they suspected that 087 responded differently depending on the psychological

background of an individual.

Maybe you, watching this video, would have a totally unique experience - hows that for

a theory?

Moving on to number 3 we have D class[f].

Some of you who have read all the material there is on 087 may have noticed that all

of the agents are refered to buy a series of numbers and letters - they always start

with D - they are known as D Class personnel.

What this means isnt explicit but there are clues.

Some people think that these agents are actually former or even current prisoners.

In Exploration 2, when the agent is hesitant about continuing, the Dr reminds them that

they have to, as per their -agreement- … perhaps if they complete the exploration, they can

get released.

If that theory is true, do you think its OK to use prisoners as lab rats for these experiments?

I love how were discussing the morality of all this now.

Lets move on.

Next up at number 2 we have Exploration 4[g].

After reading the first 3 explorations, most people are desperate to find out what happens

in the 4th and final one - even though they may be terrified of whats to come.

Unfortunately though, the data has been expunged, meaning The Foundation deems it to be too

sensitive, perhaps even a danger to public safety.

In the first 3 explorations we saw things get progessivley more terrifying - the Foundation

didnt expunge the data though, which begs the question - what could possibly have happened

on the 4th exploration for it to be too much for us to see?

I found a thread on Reddit of people discussing this very question.

In the end, people came to the conclusion that in a way, not knowing is actually more

terrifying than knowing.

People now say they want to know how the 087 story ends, because nothing is scarier than

the fear of the unknown ...

And finally at number 1 we have Containment.

If you go to the SCP Wiki - at the very top, you can see the Foundations motto - secure,

contain and protect.

Once an anomaly has been reported and identified as an SCP - the Foundation attempts to understand

it and then make sure it cant harm the public.

When it comes to 087, the record has an addendum section.

It states that for 2 weeks after the expunged exploration 4, several members of the staff

and students from the campus where 087 is located reported a knocking sound coming from

the door leading to 087.

As part of their commitment to contain SCPs and protect the public, the foundation fitted

the door with 6cm of thick industrial padding - after that, all reports of knocking ceased.

Its important to remember that this doesnt mean the knocking stopped - it might just

be that nobody could hear it anymore and so the reports stopped.

The fact that this is even noteworthy means that maybe there wasnt any knocking before

- is that a clue as to what happened during Exploration 4?

Is there someone now trapped inside forever?

I didnt think 087 could get any more scary, but that thought thas pushed it over the edge.

Well, there we go, thats that.

I can honestly say that was one of my favourite videos to work on over the past few months.

Im a bit sad that its over now but Im excited because that was only the first one in this

series - as Im sure you know, there are hundreds, if not thousands of scary SCPs out there - so

which one shall I make a video about next?

I cant wait to hear from you all - thanks for watching as always guys, my name is Danny

Burke and Ill see you all in the next video!

BREAKING! Putin: I will Have A Serious Talk With Trump In Argentina At G20 Summit - Duration: 3:01.

Please

Mr President, you said that you had a brief discussion with [US] Vice President Pence.

Perhaps, you can share with us some details about this exchange. Did you talk about preparing a meeting with President Trump?

I have one more question on this subject.

In light of the threat of the Americans imposing the second wave of sanctions in connection with the Skripal case,

could they in any way affect the preparations for your meeting with President Trump in Buenos Aires and mutual visits next year?

All unfriendly moves affect in some way the work schedule and the schedule of our meetings.

We were ready to meet in Paris,

but we already mentioned that we did not want to be in the way of the big event organised by the government and the President of France.

This was indeed a major event attended by 90 heads of state and government, so it was fairly difficult to schedule a full-fledged meeting.

We agreed to meet in Buenos Aires. On our part, we are willing to do so.

The Vice President said that the United States is also getting ready for this meeting. Let's see what comes out of it.

Indeed, we had things to discuss during a working lunch in Paris. It was a general and quite intense discussion.

President Trump and I were able to participate in this general discussion quite substantively.

We spoke about security issues, economic growth and regional issues. The Vice President of the United States and I touched upon the same issues here.

Of course, strategic stability is one of the key issues, as we need to understand what will become of the New START Treaty and how the events will unfold with the INF Treaty.

There are other issues, including those related to bilateral economic relations, which are fairly limited but include promising areas that are of interest for the United States and Russia.

Finally, we talked about the hotbeds of tension, such as Syria, the North Korean nuclear programme,

and our relations with Iran under the JCPOA – all these and other issues in which the United States and Russia are involved.

Of course, we need a dialogue at the highest level and at the expert level. We are ready to restore full-scale work to the extent that our US partners are ready to match.

Lightroom Challenge, BEFORE and AFTER let's look at your photos! - Duration: 11:16.

the Lightroom challenge is over in fact in this video we're going to check out your work

welcome to my channel here we talk about photography and and I make videos

just like this one where we look at your photos so if you are here for the very

first time it might be a good idea to subscribe a few things I like to say

before jumping into your photos first thing thank you very much

I saw almost 200 photos posted on Instagram with the hashtag Lightroom

challenge it's fantastic I really appreciate that so many of you decided

to take part to this challenge which really is not a challenge is just a photo

edit assignment next thing and this is related to the criteria that I used to

select the photos that I'm going to show you I'm not going to show you what I

thought are the best photos I'm going to show you the photos that impressed me

more for the work that has been done in Lightroom that's why it was important to

see the before picture in order for me to understand what kind of adjustments

you guys did to the photos and how you brought those photos to life, good!

one more thing I received a comment that was suggesting what we could do for the next

Lightroom challenge unfortunately I cannot find the comment I will put some

more efforts because I think this person deserves some visibility it's a smart

comment I want to give you his name nevertheless this guy is suggesting that

the next challenge should be about editing one of my photos so basically

everyone is editing the same photo I will give you a raw file and you will do

the Edit at the end of the video after I show you your photos I

will give you some more details about this challenge but now let's open

Instagram and check some of your photos so what I did is that I saved the photos

that I thought I wanted to share in this video if I go here saved let's go

PeNovak is the before this day after why I selected this photo is that because I

think I did a very very good job in both enhancing the fall colors and then also

I really like the contrast on the water ripples that in my opinion are giving

a very good depth to this image so very very good job next photo here

Krystalynn photography so this is the before this is the after I really like

the color treatments that Krystalynn did in this photo I hope I pronounce

all the names correctly but if not be patient and even if on the left side of

this image we can clearly see there is some overexposed areas in this photo I

do like the mood that Krystalynn was able to create in this image next photo

next photo is a Ray Palomares photo so this is the before and this is

the after I like what Ray was able to do in enhancing the light that is hitting

these posts in the water helping the image to get a little more depth at the

same time also in this case what happened is that by opening the

brightness of this image we did encounter the same problem of over

exposing the sky right in the center so in this case would be maybe better to

try to brighten the lower part maybe with a gradient filter

rather than increasing the exposure to the entire image next photo

this is Kenny Thomas Kenny Thomas this is the before which has its own mood

interesting anyways and this is the after I think Kenny did a very good job

in giving more details to the background and also enhancing the reflections of of

this peer into the water so good job next photo JOCHEN FEHLBAUM from

Germany the Tower Bridge in London before after very nice job you can see

how the the Tower Bridge was kind of a overexposed and now we have very nice

details on the towers on the bridge very nice work nice long exposure I like it

good job next photo next photo is from Marcus

Jose and this is the before and is the after Marcus was able to bring up more

details from the darker areas of the photos without creating too much noise

so thumbs up next photo next photo is Kevin Nash I thought this was a very

very good shot first of all even without any correction but then with the

corrections we can see the colors of the fall and overall a very balanced image

where the colors of the foliage of the sky of the water create a very

interesting mood I think that the sky has been darkened with a graduated

filter and I think that part of the tree has been darkened as well but you have

the possibility, Kevin and everybody else, to erase is part of

that treatment by using a brush tool and we will see in one of the next videos

next photo pierre glr from france all right here's the before here's the after

I like how Pierre was able to create these almost sunset mood from a photo

that in the original it was a little more flat I can see and I understand

what Pierre had in mind while editing this photo nevertheless even in this

case I believe that Pierre used the graduated filter and part of the upper

part of this skyscraper got very dark compared to the lower part even in this

case with the erase brush we can remove the graduated filter from affecting the

building next shot next shot is from Anthony Poole this is the before and

this the after Brooklyn Bridge Park this place sounds familiar to me

long exposure we can see the the light trails of the boats that are passing by

the East River lovely view of the city I think that from an image that the before

shot to most people will look like oh my god this is wrong but with good

technique we can bring to life a shot that seems doesn't have a lot of hope so

good job on this thanks for sharing your work next shot is from SHAUN

Bamford upstate New York this is the before and this is the after another

long exposure SHAUN was able to bring to life the fall colors I think it gave

nice details to the foreground without making the foreground

too distractive and basically drive us into the river turn nice job thank you

for sharing this photo with us and these are all the photos I have today I will

link in the description down below the names of all the photographers that took

the pictures you just saw now let's talk about the next

challenge I have picked one of my photos which is this one so as you can see this

is a 15 second exposure f8 ISO 64 I used an ND filter

I used the 10 stops ND filter in order to get these daylight long

exposure and as you can see I don't have a very nice Histogram my curve is all on

the left exactly the opposite of what I usually would like to achieve I was not

very happy with this shot and by the way this is a beautiful waterfall in the

Columbia River Gorge in Oregon unfortunately it is very popular so

there's a lot of people around me on the bridge everywhere nevertheless I did

edit this photo and this turned out to be one of my favorite photos interesting

isn't it so I will not show you yet my edit I

will put a link to my Dropbox right in the description below so you can

download the photo do your own edit and again I would like you to share this on

your Instagram you don't need to put the before because I know the before very

well just put the final result TAG me in the photo and use the hashtag

#LightroomChallengeARP - Attilio Ruffo Photography so that we create a new hashtag where I can

see all the photos related to this new challenge so this is all for today I

hope you enjoyed this video I also would like to know what do you think about

photo assignments and please leave me a comment below I'd like to know your

thoughts I have some ideas so let me know what you think and now of course do

your part little like little subscribe little

sharing with your friends all the good stuff thanks for watching and

I will see you in the next video! :-)

VLOG | Une journée à Oxford ! - Duration: 7:35.

Hi friends!

I hope you're doing well, it's been a while

since we last spoke!

It's early, around 7am

it's raining

I'm curently in London

but today is not about London

I'm going to meet my friend Gina

who I first met this summer

and some friends of hers

and we are going outside of London

I thought that I already show you a lot about London

enough for now!

So today, I'm taking you elsewhere!

See you later to discover the name of our destination...

We are in Oxford!

We're spending the day here

after taking the bus this morning

so this was the destination...

And there are people who just wave at the camera

as if I wasn't seeing them

So we're in Oxford for the day which is quite nice

So as I said we're in Oxford

and that's not very different from what I recall

because I came very briefly

when I was something like 14yo

It's beautiful, very calm

maybe because it's Sunday

It's very countryside like, very cute

Here we are in a small covered market

it's very pretty and we're going to keep visiting!

Hooray for diabetes... So much sugar!

It's actually pretty...

but OMG the amount of sugar!

Since we arrived,

I feel like I'm lucky not to be a Harry Potter fan

otherwise I would have spent all my money

here and in approximately all of the other shops we saw

Seriously guys, they're not kidding with their universities

they're pretty serious with constructions!

Look at that, it's amazing!

We're not visiting but having a photography workshop...

We're stopping every 3 seconds!

We are in the oldest coffee shop in the UK

it's around noon

but we're gonna have an afternoon tea!

So this is the weight that opens the door...

Could it be more British? I don't think so...

The architecture here...

(it seems that I can't pronounce that word...)

Seriously!

When you compare it with Paris-Créteil university

that's so different!

It makes you want to study, I think

It's soooo nice!

What amazes me is that everything is beautiful!

There are people but

you have this incredible university here

and just here

you have a little fountain, it's nice, quiet...

Seriously guys...

I just can't...

Look at this!

It's so beautiful!

Guys, you don't imagine what I do for you!

I went all the way up there

just there!

I have vertigo

and I'm a bit claustrophobic...

I really love you!

I also love nice viewpoints...

I was very nice! No regrets!

And the lightening now is just crazy...

And this building... It's a library

and I just love it!

This light, look at how beautiful this is...

Thank you so much for watching! I see you soon (hopefully) for another adventure!

How to Make 'Queer Eye' Antoni Porowski's Thanksgiving Cheese Plate (Not Really) | Holiday Hosting - Duration: 4:02.

- Hey, guys, welcome back to another episode

of Holiday Hosting.

I'm Dave.

- And I'm Matt, and we're so excited to be here,

to bring you a gorgeous Thanksgiving dish.

This is called--

- [Both] Antoni Porowski's Thanksgiving Cheese Plate.

- Now Dave, what makes this cheese plate

a Thanksgiving cheese plate?

- Not a lot, but you know what makes Thanksgiving special?

Your heart.

- Oh. (giggling)

- So today, we're gonna be building a dish

that you can use at any of your holiday parties,

particularly around the Thanksgiving season.

- And this is really good

because it's very cheap and from the store.

- Mm-hmm.

- So it's very easy, which makes it an Antoni original.

- Yes, absolutely.

All these ingredients can be easily found

anywhere that there is food.

- Yeah, one of the colder aisles.

That's what I say, whenever I go to the supermarket,

I say, I'm gonna in the colder aisle,

'cause that's where you can find the refrigerated stuff.

- Yes, that's where you keep the stuff

that needs to be kept cold.

I think we're ready to start building this recipe, Matt.

How 'bout you?

- I think we are, as well.

- Great, awesome.

So we'll take out our first ingredient,

which is cheese.

- Ooh, Dave, here's the cheese.

I'm handling it with my hands.

- So here we have two different kinds of cheeses.

This is one here--

- Yellow. - Yellow cheese.

And this one over here is--

- Off yellow.

- Off yellow, kind of triangle cheese.

- I think what we should first do is,

and can you please be mature about this?

- [Both] Cut the cheese.

- You don't wanna cut it so hard

that it scratches the plate

that you've stolen from someone else,

but when I say stolen, I meant borrowed.

- Yeah.

Great, that's perfect.

Yeah, and if you just go in as hard as you can

with the knife, that's gonna create a lot of momentum,

which is gonna help you go through the cheese.

- Uh-oh, this happened.

This happened.

Um.

You're gonna wanna go to the store

and buy crackers.

- Crackers, yeah.

- And you really wanna make it look

like you made an effort to at least

have some sort of design element to the plate.

I actually have a degree in creative writing,

which is not applicable to this.

But I am a creative person,

so as you can see, that really is reflected here.

- Matt, I love that.

- See, what I like about this is now it looks

like a little ship.

So, of course, we have here the mast,

and this is the (snapping).

- The sail?

The wind.

The porter?

The cast iron?

- I was gonna say the wheel,

or that could be a person

and this could be the wheel.

- Oh.

Oh my God, this makes sense.

- Cute.

- This is so great, and your guests are going to love,

I'm telling you, when they see this,

they're gonna say, is that Antoni's cheese plate?

- Yeah.

This is incredibly vegetable.

Just throw it around the plate.

- [Dan] Absolutely, like--

- And the grapes should be the ocean.

Oh, that's the wave.

This, by the way, is based on Antoni's understanding

of the Thanksgiving miracle,

is I believe is what it's called.

- This is all in his book.

- Yeah, this is in his book--

- [Both] Which is called--

- Eat.

- You can't say we're not in a kitchen with Antoni.

So this is the ship has broke in half,

which is a metaphor for America.

I guess it's time to--

- Turn it out for the guests?

- I was gonna say, try it,

but I don't wanna eat this.

- Yeah, no, it doesn't really,

I don't, I actually, I feel full just looking at it.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

But for someone else, yeah,

and it's really, that's great,

because it's really about the guests.

- Exactly, and it shows your guests

that you thought about something that day.

- What do you do with the grind?

- Smoke it?

(gasping and laughing)

We wanna thank you you guys so much

for joining us for Holiday Hosting.

- Yeah.

(whimsical flute music)

Scientific Reasons Why Men Fall Asleep Faster Than Women - Duration: 4:48.

Sorry, all you hard-working ladies out there… science has proven that women have a tougher

time unwinding at night.

But we've rounded up the main culprits for that sleep deprivation - and here's what to

do about it!

"Lady and gentleman, woman and man, we are now on the path to sleep enlightenment."

Unlike men, women's reproductive systems go through major changes throughout adulthood,

and those changes can affect sleep.

President of the Canadian Sleep Society, Helen Driver told Best Health,

"Women are more prone to having poor sleep around menstruation.

And that's related to pain and mood changes."

"Now everybody say it together.

Menstruation.

Like gentle, happy but casual, and… menstruation."

During your menstrual cycle, be sure to go to bed and wake up at the same time every

day.

Eating healthy foods and moving your body will also help with sleep.

Research shows that women are better able to tune into their emotions, and that can

make it hard to shut our brains off at night.

Driver says,

"[…] women tend to ruminate about things a little bit more than men do.

Women worry and think about what's happened during the day, and they're not able to let

things go."

If you and your partner both had bad days at work, he can still easily drift off to

dreamland while you're still trying to problem solve.

But that's not the only thing your brain is busy doing…

Researchers at Duke University studied the differences in men and women's sleep and discovered

that women require more sleep than men because they simply use their brains more.

Jim Horne, director of the Sleep Research Center at Loughborough University, told The

Australian,

"The more of your brain you use during the day, the more of it that needs to recover

and, consequently, the more sleep you need.

Women tend to multi-task […] and so they use more of their actual brain than men do."

Looks like we're just gonna have to admit that being the smarter sex is a blessing and

a curse!

"It was almost as if I had a mind of my own."

It turns out, women cope better with sleep deprivation than men do.

As any new mom can attest, even an exhausted woman can still function after a night of

no sleep.

Men, on the other hand - not so much.

Researchers at the American Academy of Sleep Medicine found that women reported less sleepiness

and performed assigned tasks better than men, when sleep-deprived.

Maybe we don't fall asleep as fast because our bodies know that come morning, no matter

what, we've gotta suck it up and get to work!

"Sorry did I wake you?"

"I don't sleep.

I win."

So maybe science proves that women can function on less sleep than men.

But even so, it's bad for our health.

"I can't do this anymore.

We need to talk."

"What's wrong?"

A 2007 study in Sleep revealed the effects of poor sleep on over 6,000 men and women.

Researchers found an association between less sleep and an increased risk for heart attacks

in middle-aged women, which they didn't find for men.

Insufficient sleep can also lead to accelerated aging of the skin, blood clots, stroke, and

psychiatric problems in women.

Sleep expert Michael Breus told The Australian that after a night of little sleep,

"We found that women had more depression, women had more anger, and women had more hostility

early in the morning."

"Are you irritated due to lack of sleep?

Do mornings frustrate you and cause you to wig out?

Sorry."

Most adults don't get enough sleep, but for women it's about more than just passing out

on the sofa while you're trying to catch up on your favorite shows.

Because it takes a real toll on our heart health, we can't mess around with sleep deprivation.

So what exactly can we do about it?

First: exercise every day.

According to the Mayo Clinic, physical activity will help you fall asleep faster and get deeper

sleep each night.

Next, commit to a regular bedtime routine.

Aim to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day - even on weekends.

Harvard Health suggests your goal should be to sleep for seven to nine hours, a night.

And finally, ditch the screens.

And keep your bedroom dark and cool to encourage sleep.

However, there are times in our lives when sleep is just impossible.

Unsurprisingly, research shows that your sleep time will decrease when there are children

in the home, according to Best Health.

"Know what my favorite mom fantasy is?"

"What?"

"Having a quiet breakfast by myself."

Ask your partner for help so that you're not burning out on zero sleep.

And if your sleep gets worse, check in with your doctor.

Dr. reacts to celebrity transformations- Love made me do it! - Duration: 11:28.

hi guys welcome back to the channel my name is dr. Sarah Tonks I'm a cosmetic

doctor in London I am here today with something big so loads of people after

this video was released sent me DMS you're all sliding into my DMS all

asking the same question what has Cheryl done so I decided I was gonna take three

of your top celebs and let's find out exactly what I think they've had done

and just before I start doing this I just want to make it like a hundred and

ten percent clear that the reason I'm doing this is to level the playing field

yeah I just want to let you know that celebrities I've said this before they

don't have special celebrity genes they're normal humans just like you and

I except they have a little bit of you know just to be clear what I am doing is

not picking apart the way that these women look for some kind of tabloid

style salacious reason I'm trying to do it so that you guys at home can

understand hey you know what I really like this woman's nose or I really like

her channel you know the structure of her face I really wish that I was born

like that like she was well I want to show you that it's possible you can do

it too it just depends okay fine it just depends on what you're born with so you

do kind of have to work a little bit with that but small refinements are

possible there's nothing wrong with having surgery there's nothing wrong

with having injectables wearing makeup wearing these clothes or that clothes

I'm no stranger to having surgery myself I've had a few things done I've had

injectables done so I'm really not saying that this is a bad thing and

trying to you know pick them apart I'm trying to show you that this is I

hesitate to use the word normal but it's certainly how it

here's to me from my perspective but I do wonder whether or not that slightly

skewed because this is my job this is what I do every day so I don't know you

tell me in the comment section below is this normal now I'm not sure anyway

you're probably wondering who the heck I'm talking about I am of course

referring to Cheryl Cole and I think we all know the one scary picture which I'm

talking about why she's like leaning into the camera like this for this like

really weird shocked expression on her face what is that about um I think she's

maybe just had something done here and it's a bit swollen um when everything's

settled down I am sure it will look lovely

remember when Carla Bruni had the same thing and then she was pictured outside

and she had these massive swollen puffy cheeks I feel like this is probably the

same thing going on for our Cheryl here but let's just recap what a

transformation she has had so looking at this first picture back in 2002 Wow have

you noticed that her dimples are getting smaller and smaller each year she's

definitely having something put in there to try and decrease them Chris remember

that's kind of what aging is well to me anyway when I'm looking at a face I try

and see which parts are the most shadowed or the most surprising or the

most downgrading so to speak and and then you adjust those and it kind of

brings the face more into harmony more into balance and that's kind of what

she's done here so by fixing her teeth

she's from Newcastle guys by the way um but I'm just saying that cuz that's why

I did my first degree um (either tune)sp? and by doing her dimples she's kind

of just brought a bit more harmony to the her face the difference between then

and now so obviously there is a lot more fullness in the

cheek area whether or not that swelling I don't know could be my only criticism

about this is the lip so I really can't stand it when when injectors do this

kind of vertical injection into the lips to make it kind of rotate up but and

give lots of length here I do not like that at all

I'm it's not my taste and you know I think she's kind of facing this

difficult period so I don't know exactly how old she is right now but we can't be

too dissimilar in age and I think as you get older it is harder and harder to

maintain your looks frankly because everything's starting to slow down near

your skin starting to look a bit more tired so I'm gonna get more fine lines

and wrinkles fat is disappearing from certain places and appearing in places

where you don't want it to be and it's tricky so there comes a time in

everyone's life when we do tend to kind of want to overfill the cheeks a bit in

order to get lift and in order to to get that youthful plumpness that we had back

but unfortunately with age there is definitely a trade-off between looking

ridiculous and looking you know tight lifted younger and and around this sort

of age is when you begin to see it I know I didn't look as good as I did four

years ago that's for sure next up someone who is very gorgeous

indeed ariana grande so I think we can all agree there's something going on

with the brow here I also maybe she's had something put in her forehead

because it does look a bit rounder in the after picture possible maybe fat

maybe filler not sure definitely a rhinoplasty the most interesting change

is in the jawline because she does have an amazing jawline how did she get that

well you see in the before picture the chin is almost like a separate unit to

the rest of the jawline and the gap kind of here it's my theory that

she's filled this section here and also the angle of the jaw to make it

extremely straight and it looks really good I also can see that she's done some

lip filler but again it's nice it's very tasteful what I wasn't prepared for was

this picture I mean who even is that is that her who is that that could be one

of like a thousand women on Instagram but apparently yes yes viewer that is

her what's the difference well clearly cheeks clearly clearly she's had more

lip done and it looks like she's had a bit more chin down that's what the face

looks longer maybe she's even done some fat dissolving injections in the lower

part of the face I mean it could be makeup but there's one thing that I want

to make like a hundred and ten percent clear to you guys cheeks like this

cheeks that get better as you get older it doesn't exist it's not real it's not

real listen it's not real people's cheekbones don't suddenly magically

appear out of nowhere no they're made trust me I do this every

day I know what's real or isn't real don't try and question my sense of

reality people speaking of reality let's go over to our third most requested face

the Duchess of Sussex and for all of you Megan fans out there what I am saying is

yes these cheekbones are not real and here is the proof so check it out not so

full when she was younger not so high much higher and fuller and

like why wouldn't she do it she was an actress she was in Hollywood she was in

suits which by the way I did not like but you can't just go from having a

cheek which is low to having one which is high it's like it doesn't happen it's

impossible but I think whoever has done it they've done a great job it's lovely

you know her cheekbone looks really nice and if

it looks really natural jawline looks fantastic note how the chin is also

longer in the after picture and we've definitely got a rhinoplasty going on

here but you know so what who hasn't done their nose and then the second shot

of her again we can see that the most of the fullness in the face it's kind of

down here rather than being higher up on the cheekbone here I know what the

internet is gonna say oh well your name she she's lost some fat from her face

she's lost her baby weight yes but she hasn't changed the position of as I go

my issue I also think she's maybe done something with her smile so in the

before picture if the smile is very broad and almost too broad so this is

something that I struggle with in the clinic by the way all the time because I

see you got older you show more of your lower teeth when you're smiling so if

you put some Botox down there it means that you don't see the lower teeth quite

as much yes it feels weird when you first have it done but trust me

objectively it looks better and literally who cares if it feels weird

you will get used to it you will get used to it okay just get used to it

um and I think probably she's also put some filling here too and to decrease

not only her nose to mouth lines but also the amount that the smile lifts up

to so that you can see less of the gum on smiling okay guys that's it for today

I literally have to go I've got a very hot date over in Kensington Palace just

to reiterate again I am NOT throwing any shade on these women at all I'm just

trying to point out that people once again don't have special celebrity genes

people aren't born looking like this it's my maid it's manufactured it's just

little tweaks so I'm trying to help you see how maybe that could apply to

yourself if there's something that you've always wanted to maybe change or

alter or steal from a celebrity and how you you can have it done is

democratization of beauty people that is what I'm trying to do okay guys so I

hope you enjoyed the video very much li let me know in the comment section below

if you disagree with me or if you agree with me and I look forward to seeing you

tomorrow actually there's another video I will see you later

What does it mean to own a startup? - Duration: 1:12.

What does it mean to have a startup?

A startup is a company.

It's a like a micro-company.

Which is normally founded with some kind of new tech or idea.

And where the objective is to accelerate its growth. Grow fast.

So one day it can be sold or make an IPO.

That idea people have, that all startups have a snooker table, table football, free drinks, parties on Thursdays and Fridays.

Google style.

You are a manager of a small company

and so you must take care of all the bureaucracy and administrative tasks that a company needs to have.

I'm sure there are startups that have this kind of extras and fun.

But it's not a standard.

To have a startup you must be an obsessive person. You have to be completely obsessed by your idea.

Owning a startup means you have a job 24 hours per day.

Yes, because you never stop thinking about it. And that is also wrong because sooner or later, you can flip out.

Early Sign Your Adolescent Has Started Puberty - Duration: 1:38.

Have you noticed a change in your adolescent's body odor? There it is! A sign

that they have entered puberty. You know, this usually happens around

nine to ten years old, but I was just teaching a group of nine and ten year

old girls and many of them said they started wearing deodorant when they were only

eight. So what's happening here? In the skin are some special glands that

produce a fluid that is taken in by friendly bacteria that live on the skin.

The bacteria produce a gas and the gas is our body odor. What does this

have to do with puberty? Those special glands need a form of testosterone, for both

boys and girls, in order to stimulate the glands to produce their

fluid. Testosterone is a puberty hormone. So that's one of the big signs and

probably the first sign that you have that your child has entered puberty. This

is a great opportunity for you to start teaching them about cleanliness and

taking care of their skin. These particular glands, these special glands,

are primarily located in the armpits and around the genitals. Good shower

techniques and wearing deodorant is needed. It's time to get ready.

Your child has entered puberty. I'm Dr. M with Anatomy for Kids.

TRAVEL VLOG | Lost in Europe #2 | JORDII Travels - Duration: 8:37.

Hey guys!

JORDII here 🤗

It's about 4:30 AM

I thought I'd just go for a little walk 🚶

One thing I have noticed...

It's so hot 🔥

I'm already starting to sweat 😅

So I think it's like 35-36°C 🌡️

Pretty crazy TBH 🤪

The sun comes up at 4:44 AM today, so

I thought I'd just try and find a good spot

to go to...

To get a couple of shots of the sun rising, and

maybe if I'm lucky, the city 🌆

It's pretty crazy just… 🤪

walking around.

It's so much different to New Zealand 🇳🇿

Anyway, we'll try and find a good spot

to hopefully get a shot of the sunrise 📹

Found a really nice spot to

Watch the sunrise 🌅

As I'm sure you can tell...

I'm dripping sweat right now 💦

Anyway, as you can see behind me

It's the sun coming up

Looks pretty beautiful TBH 😍

But I think I might just head back to the hotel now...

It's a little bit hot for me.

Morning guys.

Had a little bit of a nap 😴

It's about 7:00 AM now.

I'm just gonna head up to the gym.

Do a little bit of a workout 💪🏽

I would've done it when we got here, but

it just opened at 7:00 AM.

So we're gonna go up there

And then there's a mall about...

10 minutes' walk away

from where we are staying.

So we're gonna go there, and

check it out 🧐

See if there's any good places over there to eat.

Have breakfast 🍽

I think Alex wants to get a new shirt...

because we're probably gonna be sweating heaps walking around.

So yeah...

Let's go ✔️

Just left the hotel...

Here with Alex.

(Alex): 'Sup guys! 👋🏻

Yeah, we're just heading to the

City Center Doha Mall

Just to go and get some breakfast.

It's pretty bloody hot 🔥

Just sweating aye...

I can feel my shirt starting to sweat.

It's almost like a sauna.

(Alex): Filthy.

Pretty filthy 😝

Hey guys, so...

I was pretty surprised to find

There's so much chocolate here 🍫

from New Zealand

There's some out over there as well 👉🏽

As you can see... 🧐

Made in New Zealand 🇳🇿

(Alex): YEAH! 🙌🏻

That's pretty cool 😎

🥤

😋

Just finished having...

kinda an early lunch or late breakfast...

Had some Hardees

Which is pretty much Carls Jr 🍔🍟

Just under a different name.

What we're gonna do...

We're gonna head back to the Hotel.

We'll probably get all of our stuff together

and we're also gonna sit down and

plan out what we're, kinda, gonna do

in Barcelona.

It's gonna be a bit of a mission

getting from the airport to the hostel...

So we go from the airport to

La Barceloneta

which is

the most popular beach in Barcelona 🌊

So that's where we're staying.

It's gonna take a little bit of logistics

to figure out how we're gonna get there 🤔

and that kinda thing.

So we're gonna do that when we get back to the hotel.

Hopefully it's not too hot

walking back to the hotel

It's about a 10 minute walk aye?

(Alex): Yeah...

(Alex): It's like a heater constantly on you.

Yeah...

It's pretty crazy.

Hey guys.

Just waiting to get an airport shuttle...

About to leave Doha

and head off to Barcelona ✈️

Hey guys.

So just waiting on the plane ✈️

to head to Barcelona

It should take us about 6 hours to get there.

A lot shorter than the flight from Auckland to Doha

which was 18 hours, so...

That's pretty good.

We'll probably get to Barcelona around 9:00 PM

and then we're gonna hit the hostel...

Hit the hostel hard, aye bro?

(Alex): Yeah, man. Get some drinks 🍻

Get some drinks

and just get pissed 😂

Because we're off to Ibiza 💊

on Wednesday, so

We wanna make the most of our time there...

It should be good 🙏🏽

Today we are going to talk about 'J' in the A-Z series.

The subject that I have chosen for 'J' is Jugaad.

Jugaad is quite a favourite word.

In India, lots of people say "Let's do jugaad".

What does jugaad mean?

The closest meaning word for jugaad is "magic'. Let's do something.

There's some problem or an obstacle, then do something to solve that problem.

That is jugaad. And jugaad is very closely linked with business;

and getting things done rather than getting stalled.

So, what is jugaad? What is an example of jugaad?

In my book "Why I Stopped Wearing My Socks?", I've given a very interesting example.

We had got a big business of voting on Indian Idol- first time ever

never happened before in India! We had to set up a voting platform.

And when voting began, we had not anticipated that so much traffic would come.

So, the servers began to fail. There were a lot of problems.

SONY began to get upset. Everything was going haywire.

At that time, there was no cloud. There were direct servers.

So we did not know what to do. At that time, a very young engineer, Sachin Jain,

raised up his hand in the room and said, "Sir, I have an idea".

He actually had a jugaad. He said, "When people vote, instead of sending

them a delivery receipt, there used to be delivery receipt when people

in the past used to send an SMS, if we discontinue that what would happen?"

I said, "No one needs delivery reports. So, discontinue them".

On discontinuing them, servers didn't crash anymore, the program was

successful and we became very successful. Perfect example of jugaad.

So, jugaad is important and very important. Why? See, Business is never easy.

Nothing ever works as per plan. You need to be able to solve things intelligently

and with this kind of concept of 'by hook or crook I have to make this work'.

Sometimes, jugaad comes in handy when the business experiences certain hindrances.

Greatest example is-when CavinKare entered the market to sell shampoo,

he saw that villagers, poor people and even middle-class people cannot

possibly take big shampoo bottles and pour them on their heads.

They are very expensive - around Rs. 200 -300. So what should be done?

Jugaad! They introduced sachet sampling or sachet sizing shampoos.

CavinKare took out the first sachet size shampoo costing Rs.1-2.

Now we have seen sachet became a revolution. So, sachet was jugaad.

Cash on delivery was started by Dominos. We will send pizza to your home and

you eat and pay us cash. The e-commerce people have retained

this jugaad in their business. So, this is a great example of jugaad.

Now, in India, there is a problem that when everything becomes an adjustment, a way,

it can be misused also. What are the negative aspects?

About a year back, I was standing near Phoenix mall eating a frankie.

So, when I asked him for a veg frankie, he asked, "Sir, Do you want a veg frankie or

a chicken frankie?" I replied, "I'm a pure vegetarian and I want a veg frankie".

He said, "Sir, no problem. I will give you a chicken frankie in a green cover."

That is a wrong jugaad. So, you need to understand jugaad.

Jugaad is the ability to break all the conventions, to break the rules

and yet get it done with all kinds of adjustments and ideas and make it work!

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Dhandhe ki Baat.

Do keep watching. Thank you!
