Youtube daily report Feb 11 2017

Hello Internet!!!

And welcome to Behind The Meme!

Today we have a look at "look at this dude"

Thank you so very much to each and every single one of my viewers who left comments saying

they wanted to see a video on this topic. As always Your comments help shape this channel,

so let me know what you would like to see next and maybe ill be able to make it happen!

You guys wanted it!

Now you have it!

Here We GO!!!

Now let me start this off by saying These videos crack me up so I was super excited

when I saw that this meme was something that everybody wanted to see.

Well maybe not everybody, but most of you guys.

So what exactly is look at this dude?

Well to put it simply its a genre of short roast videos in which a picture of an individual

is taken and compared to other images of similar looking people or things usually to much comedic

effect, which is only amplified with the funny audio that is often used to accompany the

pictures.

You see, there's particular audio of a man laughing hysterically that originates from

the original roast video that is used within the remixes people have been making.

The videos have become known as look at this dude roasts as well as flipagram roasts due

to the original app that was used to create the very first video.

"Bruh, look at this dude. haha Wait till you see the.

hahahaha no no no no ohhhhhhhh hahahahahahaha look at the top of his head! hahahaha look

at his lips hahaha"

The video was uploaded to twitter by user @Xx__Eric_xX in August of 2015.

Look, I know he's wearing a bra, it's 2017 this is no big deal nowadays.

Moving on!The original tweet gained a ton of attention and became instantly popular!

Eventually people started to send in pictures of their friends or parents for eric to roast

in his style, which he still uploads new versions on his twitter from time to time that are

just as funny as the original.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now due to the hilarious nature of the original audio the videos were able to spread beyond

eric's twitter account and began to appear other places online as well .With other people

taking eric's audio and using it within the same format to create some funny variations

which become known as "look at this dude roasts" in the process.

With many of them even being labeled as the "try not to laugh challenge" as well,

which usually I think those try not to laugh things are pretty dumb but with this one the

guys laugh is so damn contagious its actually pretty damn hard to not laugh, at least for

me.

hahahaha ahhhhhhh hahahahaha ahhhhhhh hahahahahaha hahahaha haaaaaaaaaaa

Now you can't tell me that you didn't laugh at least once.

Cmon you at least smiled.

No?

Well you know what?

I have something that is guaranteed to make you laugh.

stop giving up!

(Farts)

I tell ya, A fart joke never fails.

Now Since the look at this dude roast videos have spread to youtube nobody has been safe,

with many notable celebrities and youtubers being the target of the roasts.

look at the top of his head! hahahaha look at his lips hahaha

Now although some PC SJW Bastards May look at these videos as being bullyish and mean

spirited I have yet to see one example that is truly mean, but I haven't had anybody

make one on me so it's kinda easy to say that.

But even they did I would have the very same opinion.

look at this dude. haha Wait till you see the.

hahahaha no no no no ohhhhhhhh hahahahahahaha look at the top of his head! hahahaha look

at his lips hahaha

are you serious?

You know what you guys This meme is stupid! this isn't even a meme!

Its not funny its dumb! anybody who thinks it's funny has no sense of humor and is

just ignorant you- you're all just being ignorant

So there you have it!!

Look at this dude started off as a roast by a man with a contagious laugh and turned into

a genre of video that has the ability to spread laughter to all!

But Hey!!

That's the internet for you and on the internet memes are king!!!

Thank you all so very much for watching!

favorite memes and trends!!!

Who knows you may learn about something you never knew about before!!

I'll catch you beautiful people next time!

bruh look at this dude!

Look at his hair! hahaha it looks like a grill brush hahaha oh my goodness hahahahahahah

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hahaha hahahahahaha ahhhhh hahaha ahhhhhh

Doomfist Release Date: Soon? Terry Crews? (Overwatch Lore) - Duration: 18:37.

hey folks this is rhykker with an

overwatch doomfist video that you want

to watch version of this video is that

signs are pointing towards do this

releasing in the near future Blizzard

time of course I've been meaning to make

a doofus video for a very long time

months now and I figured I better get to

it before he releases which as for some

data mined files on the latest patch on

the test server maybe soon

reddit user banks up the then that

posted this image which shows what

appears to be the new Bonnie payload

which carries the doofus college in a

glass case but you can see what appears

to be broken glass around the case

suggesting the gauntlet has been stolen

now back in October game director just

Kaplan said that a new hero was coming

soon with the second year in the works

that would release in 2017 the first 0

he mentioned once sombra as expected and

the second has been speculated to be

doomed fist

this is the captain said back in October

about the second hero coming

we also have another hero prototype that

were extremely happy with right now this

one is in a very internal developer

forum we're using all place older models

and effects and animations just to prove

that the hero is fun but we feel like we

found another really great overwatch 0

that will see the light of day

probably some time next year so the

first time we heard about doing fist was

in the very first cinematic reveal of

overwatch the one in which Reaper and

Widowmaker tried to steal the doofus

college back then both had intended to

make doing fist a playable character or

even be a big part of the story

his name was really just a throwaway

line

probably guys and it's college was just

a MacGuffin of plot device since then

loser decided to expand on the idea of

doofus and give them a bigger role in

the story even discussing the

possibility of making him a playable

hero while they didn't outright

confirmed that doing this will become a

playable hero

it's clearly on their idea board and it

doesn't seem too so much be a question

of if but rather when now blues

explained in an interview with pc gamer

that doing fist is a generational

character in other words there's been

more than one that do fist the math new

body is where we gather most of the rest

of our gym first information we see this

set of three posters the original do

fist the Savior the second group is the

scourge and now the third do fist thus

accessory what you'll notice here is

that beneath their titles you see their

names the first name add alguna goomy is

swahili and literally translates to do

with fists the second name a king g day

at the Miami is a Yoruba name the Yoruba

people are mostly from Nigeria and are

one of the largest ethnic groups in

Africa the first part of the name

akinjide is a boy same that means strong

one has returned

that's right yeah me that means the

crown that fits me and clearly the crown

here is either the doom just itself or

the title now the third name is written

in the omnia clang guajira this combined

with what appeared to be some very

inorganic lines in the silhouette around

his face and head suggests that the

third insist maybe anomic the other to

disappear to the African and their names

reflected if this doofus were human

why would his name be written in Domonic

it could possibly be because do this

maybe from new Bonnie a fictional city

in Africa near nigeria new body is known

as the city of harmony in which humans

and onyx coexist peacefully and as

equals

you can see Amma crying everywhere

throughout the city and any human locals

raise the new body are no doubt fluent

anomic so it's not at all unlikely for a

human born and raised in

philadelphia in new body who truly

believe in equality between humans and

objects to write his name in the arabic

language now great efforts have been

made to try to decipher the Amish script

but we've ultimately been unable to

decode insists on nickname so if the

third doofus is actually human than

those inorganic lines were talking about

would either be armor of some kind or he

might be a signboard the cyber theory

isn't all that far-fetched when you take

a look at his doofus college which seems

more integrated into his body than the

first two in fact what hero could better

reflect the ideals of new Bonnie of

human anatomical existing Dennis I board

that said when you play ing on your body

ng expresses how much he feels he

doesn't even fit in here so there's that

even here

I Sheila not cat so the Dukes college

was originally being kept at the

overwatch museum but it's being

transported to the new Bonnie heritage

museum for the city's Unity Day

celebration clearly do this is an

important part of new body history for

better or for worse

given the first do this was known as of

the Savior and his conviction is

decidedly heroic he's likely to have

been a hero in the region during the

atomic crisis new body itself was

founded after the and crisis as for the

skirt he's depicted in a clearly

villainous way you know if his name

wasn't already a dead giveaway

there's what appears to be a mushroom

cloud behind him and that phrase comes

to mind once again probably right now

Winston is reported to have defeated

doing fist and claimed his gauntlet

that's how it got in the museum in the

first place of the first to do is it

seems more likely that Winston defeated

the scourge and his gauntlet is the one

that most closely resembles the one in

the museum which is identical to the one

you see in game on the new body tail

owed the first group is Scarlett seems

like a little more than elaborate brass

knuckles

the second is clue some kind of power

godlike we saw the cinematic and the

third seems like it may be an entire

arm now the hiccup here is that the

scourge is wielding the college in his

left hand

this is in conflict with the gala we see

in the museum and embody payload which

is clearly a right-handed gauntlet this

is definitely an issue but we can chalk

it up to artistic interpretation in

order to more clearly show on the poster

that the scourge is a villain the artist

likely chose to have them facing the

opposite direction as the Savior note

how almost everything about the way they

chose to the pickin is an opposition to

the first do fist

yes is back to us instead of his front

his fist is raised in year instead of

facing down and his head is slightly

down instead of slightly raised the

overall colors are cold instead of warm

you get the idea remember these aren't

pictures is our drawings are artistic

depictions I don't think discourage

posed for a poster photo shoot this is

art and the purpose of art is to convey

a message story and emotion not to be

wanted two percent factually accurate

they could have also just had him facing

the opposite direction simply because it

looks better than to have three people

all facing the same direction now the

overwatch visual sourcebook refers to

the gauntlet in new body as quote the

gauntlet of the infamous doing fist this

further cements the idea that this

godless belong to a villainous doom fist

and remove any doubt whatsoever on new

body in the defender spawn room the one

that's closest to the payload

destination hear a recording for the

museum say the following

this confirms that the garlic belonged

to the scourge the second in fists and

the use of the word intimates clearly

denotes that he is regarded as a villain

in the body also blizzards outright

stated that new body is currently under

threat by quote the villainous hero

doing this so we know that there is a

doofus who is still active

who is a village and is thus likely

either be the scourge or the successor

now the sum one of the successor closely

parallels the Savior remember when we

were talking about the visual depiction

add up facing towards us Scotland down

it's the same heroic pose as the Savior

the symbol behind him a fist with a

starburst behind it signifies to me

strength power authority even protection

maybe it is slightly ominous just

slightly dictatorial maybe kind of a

little propaganda issue but remember it

was artist the chosen victim this way

the spikes on the shoulder are typically

more villainous than heroic but overall

it seems this doofus is more likely to

be a protector of the people rather than

a destroyer that said you could be a

protector of the people and still be a

villain in this story

not everything is black and white and

someone to be opposed to overwatch and

its goals or methods without being a bad

person

in fact i would expect this doofus to

fall into that category a villain to

overwatch but someone with a goal that

the audience can sympathize with the

fact that this doofus is shown in

silhouette highly suggest that if a

playable do this character were added to

the game it would be the successor the

silhouette is a way of teaching the

character without outright revealing and

he's also possibly just a silhouette

because his true identity is unknown to

the people you may be a mysterious

character and no one's going to really

good look at it

in fact do fist reveal may happen in the

real world at the same time as it

happens in the game world now there's

some evidence to suggest that do fist

may be affiliated with Talan in some way

again in that opening cinematic Reaper

and Widowmaker known talent agents are

trying to retrieve the doom fist

gauntlet they may just be going after

this is a powerful weapon or doing fist

is affiliated with talent

perhaps even its leader and he wants his

college back there's even a voice line

Dallas data mined in game in which

Reaper says doom fist should do his own

dirty work

this suggests that Reaper is doing

doofus dirty work which is something

that is subordinate typically does for a

superior is this dialogue line intended

to be used on new body for the team

trying to steal the garlic the defending

team but back to the broken glass

what could this model tell us for this

model be for an upcoming doing fist

reveal cinematic in which he retrieves

his got--let or simply an updated embody

once do justice revealed this will be

the first time that the loser has

modified a map to reflect one of the

cinematic shorts almost a year ago watch

point your browser was updated to show a

broken window in Winston's office and it

was only a month later that the recall

short went live showing how that glass

was broken on annamaria you can see

signs of a fight between Hans ong in the

dragon short Hans arrow over here Hans

arrow in the floor of the damage lantern

Ganges shuriken there are people more of

these little easter eggs on other maps

but you get the idea basically many of

these maps are important to the lure of

overwatch in some way and for some maps

the lore only became known publicly

after the map was released for instance

the story behind the Dorado map only

became fully known once this summer arg

came to a close and we've covered that

extensively in the past let's take a

look at route 66 for example the story

behind that map is that Makris old

criminal organization the deadlock gang

blow up a bridge causing a train to fall

and that train was carrying a big bomb

that the gang wanted to steal so the

payload on that map is the deadlock gang

carrying that bomb back to their

headquarters back to their secret

hideout the defenders on that map

represent overwatch trying to stop them

so when you play on route 66 that's the

story that you're playing too it's a

reenactment of that event

similarly the story of new body might be

a reenactment of

someone maybe overwatch escorting we're

trying to ask work the doing the

scholars safely to the museum with do

fist and his gang trying to intercept

and steal the gauntlet regardless we do

know that do fist will have a role to

play in the overarching story of

overwatch the giant summer conspiracy

that we covered in full detail in this

video includes the doofus Scotland

somehow connected to your body and note

that the college also appears on the map

of Australia industries with this symbol

30 that is seen connected to full-scale

what this could mean for now is

completely unknown but stay tuned as the

mystery unravels now as we're getting

close to ending here i just want to

quickly mention that a new music track

with the mind as well

posted by dead girl dreaming to read it

now we've heard this before we put this

in the original overwatch reveal

cinematic the one in which we were and

it'll make you are stealing the college

conflict and the world teetered on the

brink of anarchy on newhope arose some

people I stating that this music has

something to do with doom fist but it's

more likely to be an event or a brawl of

some kind and in the video

this song was played in the cinematic

this song was played while the announcer

the narrator was talking about the

ominous crisis not about doing this now

the last thing i want to talk about this

video is the possibility of Terry Crews

voicing of doom cast there's a huge

community demand for this Terry Crews

seems on board for this

there's arguably some evidence

suggesting this may be happening or has

happened but we'll let you be the judge

it all started on November 16 when Terry

Crews promoted an overwatch free weekend

on facebook then the next day someone on

reddit proposed that Terry Crews voice

doom fist and the post exploded in

popularity people really wanted this

a few days later on November 21st Terry

Crews replied with his real verified

reddit account saying he would love to

play doing this and it seemed like the

story ended there but almost a month

later on December 15 the world of

warcraft in-game cinematic project

director karen gregory tweeted this that

same day Terry Crews himself confirmed

that he was at police headquarters with

this facebook post love my visit with

the geniuses at blizzard entertainment

today and meeting the creators of one of

my favorite games overwatch let's go and

things didn't end there on january

fourth Kerry posted this to Facebook who

wants to hear me do the voice of doom

fist for real

the next day Terry posted this just in

case you happen to miss this Carrie plus

doofus equals awesome and Dwayne the

rock Johnson tweeted his endorsement of

Carrie cruise for Doom fist at that

point a full month passed before we

heard anything new on the matter but

then a few days ago

februari third we got a mock video

audition from can

reposted to facebook this is cherry

cruise for doing this first came to the

surface except we obviously I'm doing it

get ready to heart I could tell me level

of awkward your face might fit your

don't make roll now does all this mean

that Kerry will be voicing doing fist it

looks like he wants to the community

wants them to blizzard likes him and is

visible to headquarters may have been to

record the doom fist lines it seems like

it's something that could get wrapped up

in a day and all the social media stuff

since then may just be Terry trying to

hype us up for it without spilling the

beings but when Blizzard hires voice

actors they get people that they know

they'll have easy access to moving

forward

this is that they can record new voice

lines for new events for know for new

hero interactions even for a new game

integrations like there's a lot of

overwatch sure that will be going over

to jurors of the storm

you know back in the day the female

demon hunter in diablo 3 was voiced by a

different actress and then one day out

of nowhere a patch came through and the

voice actress was replaced and everyone

was upset everyone loves the old demon

hunter voice actress the new one was

good too but it was just like why was

this changed and the new voice actress

also voices valla to demonize your

injuries of the storm

so we don't know why exactly they

changed voice actors but it seems pretty

obvious it was either due to money or

availability and not because of the

talent because again the old voice

actress was adored now Terry Crews is

kind of a big deal

loser would likely have to pay top

dollar for him even if he's a fan of the

game and we'll be going to do a pro bono

carry someone who act outside of a voice

actor boots so he's like you got a busy

schedule if he's going to be off filming

a TV show or a movie he could be away

for quite a while and its Blizzard needs

him to come in to record some voice

lines are they going to chance that

I would love to hear Terry Crews voice

someone over watch but I wouldn't get my

hopes up

now the good news is that if blizzard

while someone else for now because doing

this is a tireless been passed down from

person to person

those are dollars in the future added

legendary skin that is the original do

fost and have Carrie Cruz voice him but

what do you guys think

leave a comment and that wraps up this

video thanks for watching

special thanks to my twitch and patreon

supporters for making these videos

possible if you like this video please

Where To Eat At Disney's Magic Kingdom - Consumed - Duration: 4:22.

Quick: when you think of Walt Disney

World Resort, what do you picture? A

castle, right? Gnawing on turkey legs,

maybe kids crying, fireworks, corndogs,

corndog nuggets...

But this place, Jungle Cruise Skipper Canteen,

has brought a very aggressive menu to the

park. As the story goes,

Skipper Canteen is a restaurant

associated with one of the parks oldest

rides, the Jungle Cruise. On it, a boat

takes riders through a comical journey down

the Nile, Amazon, and Congo Rivers. I know

it's not real, but it's fun and it's

kitschy. Remember: we're in a theme park.

In absolutely no shape, way, or form are

these flavors and ingredients things

served anywhere in the Magic Kingdom. This

park was not a good food scene, and now,

while yes, Skipper Canteen is a themed

restaurant, the cuisine succeeds in its

attempt to stay true to the ride's journey —of

course, in its own Disney-ifed, nuanced way.

I think what stands out most for me is

that before you guys opened about a year

ago, you couldn't get food like this in the Magic Kingdom.

"No, you have so many different

cultures and different nationalities that

come here. We have a Brazilian steak on our

menu, we have something from

Thailand, we put our little spin on it."

I'd love to know from your perspective the

whole process behind some of my favorite

dishes here. Can you tell me about the

lamb? "The Baa Baa Berber Lamb?

That is one of our newest dishes. The lamb

itself is rubbed ahead of time in a

mixture of different spices. It's pan0

seared, roasted off in the oven, and

finished with a sort of couscous.

The couscous has some carrots in it,

and has some green beans and some fresh

mint tossed in it, Jerusalem artichokes, and

then the sauce around it is a roasted lamb

sauce, just reduced down and finished with a

little butter and a little roux in the

sauce itself. And then the lamb on

top is finished with a little micro cilantro."

And how about the chau siu pork?

"The chau siu pork is actually a three-day process

for us, so we cut it down and brine it and

then it set overnight for 24 hours. The

next morning it's run out and it's cooked for

a 12-hour process of 250 degrees. It's

sliced the next day, and then grilled to

order." That's not typical of Magic

Kingdom restaurants. "No no, we do this

over three-day process just because it's very

tender and very juicy

once it's done.

It's an amazing dish our guests enjoy very much.

It's sweet, it's tangy, it has a barbecue essence to it. You can bite right through it.

It's so soft and buttery. When you eat

chau siu, sometimes it can be greasy, but it's definitely not.

It's balance very well, just fatty

enough, just crisp enough on the edges.

I could eat all three of these and keep going for

more. Here we have the berber lamb chops.

The flavor is very rich. It has a pepperiness to it,

and when you mix the flavors of

the dish together, especially with the

sauce, it really brings out the crust on that

lamb.

It all really complements each other.

So this Nile Nelly noodle bowl, it

comes with either duck or chicken, and it's

essentially a bowl of pho but the ratio

of noodles and broth is a bit opposite.

It's interesting because usually when you get a bowl of pho

there's so much broth, I like that this is a

hearty meal. There's so many noodles in

it and the mix of vegetables within it —

jalapeno, there's carrots, there's onions

in here, really flavorful.

Fantastic, wow. The crispy bits on it from

a little bit of grease, it just brings a

lot to the table. This is the most

popular dish, the sea shumai. They make these

in-house form an assembly line and they

make these by hand every single day. This

is the thing that people keep coming

back for, myself included.

I love that it's a whole blend. The mix of pork,

and shrimp and arugula really comes

through. The meat is also very tender and

there's a lot happening in it. I'm going to

keep eating and hop on a few

coasters, for more videos, click here.

Yeah, no. It always seemed like a weird thing to do.

A toolkit for transformable materials - Duration: 2:05.

Charlie Heck: See this?

It's not an optical illusion,

it's a new metamaterial that unlike other metamaterials,

could perform multiple functions

and easily switch between them.

But what does this really mean?

Jordan D'Eri: Honestly I could watch that video for hours.

Charlie Heck: Jordan! Focus.

Jordan D'Eri: Oh Right! Sorry. I I have an idea.

Charlie Heck: Uh, That's never a good…

Jordan D'Eri: I want to make you

into this table Charlie Heck: What?

Jordan D'Eri: Well I really like the idea of something

that's multifunctional.

And I mean it would be super convenient

if you were both a table AND my co-host.

Lunch would never be the same again.

Charlie Heck: Alright, you've lost your mind.

Moving on- Jordan D'Eri:

Please continue.

Charlie Heck: Metamaterials, materials

whose function is determined by structure

instead of composition,

are designed to do some pretty amazing things.

Bend light and sound, transform from soft to stiff,

even dampen seismic waves during an earthquake.

The problem is, these functions require

unique mechanical structures,

so these materials are great for a specific task,

but that's really it.

Jordan D'Eri: But what if a material could contain

within its structure multiple functions,

and easily and autonomously switch between them?

Researchers at Harvard have developed a general framework

to design reconfigurable materials

that can do just that.

Like origami, the structure can be folded along

their edges to change shape.

Charlie Heck: The design strategy

is scale-independent,

meaning it can be applied to everything from meter-scale architecture,

to reconfigurable nanoscale systems like photonic crystals,

waveguides, and metamaterials to guide heat.

Jordan D'Eri: The researchers say the formalized design framework

could be useful for structural and aerospace engineers,

material scientists, physicists,

robotic and biomedical engineers,

and even designers and architects.

Jordan D'Eri: See isn't this nice?

Charlie Heck: Wh- what?? How did you do that?

Jordan D'Eri: Magic.

Charlie Heck: I was literally standing next to you

two seconds ago. Change it back!

Jordan D'Eri: Eh, maybe tomorrow.

Woman: Alright everyone that's a wrap.

Harvard Ditched Dairy: Should You? - Duration: 11:18.

Hey there modern vegans and vegan curious,

thank you for joining me here on ModVegan.

My name is Margaret, and today we're going to be

talking about dairy and its place in a healthy diet.

Back in 2012, Harvard's esteemed school of public health

decided to remove dairy from its "healthy eating plate."

Now, the healthy eating plate is meant to be Harvard's answer to the USDA's MyPlate

system,

which has replaced the food pyramid.

And this system, the Healthy Eating Plate,

is supposed to just kind of give people ideas about what to eat as part of a healthy diet,

as is the USDA's MyPlate.

But there's quite a big difference between the recommendations made by these two institutions.

The USDA food guide is a little bit less specific in terms of its recommendations,

their MyPlate system recommends dairy as the beverage of choice,

and also includes red meat and processed meat in its healthy protein category,

as long as it is low in sodium and low in fat.

And so the focus of the MyPlate is primarily on low-fat foods,

and things like that.

But less focus is made on the latest medical recommendations.

And as Harvard so kindly puts it,

"USDA's MyPlate still doesn't offer the most complete picture when it comes to basic nutrition

advice."

So, Harvard has "burned" the USDA MyPlate for not really having a complete picture of

what is necessary for your health.

And you will hear vegans frequently say that the USDA is not the best arbiter of public

health,

that they may not have the best information on public health,

because they are, for a large part, the United States' largest food lobby.

Now, one of the interesting things about these two organizations

is that Harvard's School of Public Health is a non-profit organization devoted to health

and the latest in medical science,

the USDA is the US Department of Agriculture,

and their job is to guide Americans on healthy eating habits,

but also to promote agricultural products.

And sometimes those two mandates come into conflict.

Harvard's School of Public Health explains the absence of dairy in their recommendations

by telling readers that they have found that there are increased risks of ovarian cancer

and prostate cancer among people who drink large amounts of milk,

and that there's also little or no evidence that dairy consumption helps prevent osteoporosis.

Which goes completely against everything that we've always heard all over our lives.

And it's quite confusing when you consider that the World Health Organization also doesn't

even mention dairy in its recommendations for a healthy lifestyle,

that the USDA still puts such a high emphasis on it.

Dairy is considered to be an amazing source of protein,

low fat dairy is supposed to be a wonderful source of calcium,

and they want you to eat three or four servings per day.

They encourage that children drink milk,

they even have programmes to help put milk in schools,

so that they can add more dairy consumption to our diets.

And it's very interesting, because, as Harvard points out,

this is something that is influenced by industry lobbyists.

And again, this is one of those points where the interests of consumers run up against

the interests of food industry lobbyists,

who obviously have great sway within the Department of Agriculture.

It's interesting to me that the USDA's food pyramid,

and now the MyPlate system,

are considered one of the best places to turn to in terms of dietary advice,

when, in fact, they have been pretty backwards on this whole thing for a very long time.

If you have kids, this may frustrate you even more.

It certainly frustrates me.

Because children are taught in school that they need to drink three or four servings

of dairy per day,

or face the consequences of poor health and crumbling bones.

And this is also pushed on women, that they need to drink much more milk,

because otherwise their bones will crumble,

that osteoporosis is directly the result of consuming other beverages besides milk,

and that somehow if you drink milk, then you'll be able to prevent osteoporosis.

As is the case with a lot of industry propoganda,

this just simply isn't true.

And it doesn't reflect

the latest in medical science.

It's understandable that many years ago,

people would have thought that milk would make your bones strong,

but after years and years of scientific studies,

we haven't gotten any closer to understanding that milk in any way prevents osteoporosis.

It remains kind of a hypothesis that we have held up as true,

for so long that people have forgotten

that there really is not very much evidence to support it.

My grandmother, who is now 87 years old, as I have told you guys before,

she consumed 3 glasses of milk per day

her entire life.

And she was always really good about it.

When we went to her house she always made sure we had milk with every meal.

And it was something that she really though was important,

because she was schooled in food and nutrition science, that's what her degree was in.

And so, that was something very important to her,

to encourage people to drink milk.

And yet, today, she has broken a hip, she's had problems with her knees,

and some issues with osteopenia, and also has had cancer.

And, I don't know if those things are connected,

that's obviously an anecdotal piece of evidence,

but the fact that she has weak bones seems to me fairly strong evidence that large consumption

of dairy products,

at least in my family, for my genes, doesn't necessarily provide defence against osteoporosis.

Now, what does provide defence against osteoporosis?

What actually does make your bones stronger?

And the answer is, green leafy vegetables,

and also calcium fortified products, like soy milk.

And I think this is really interesting,

given the fact that I just made a video a few weeks ago

about how the dairy industry wants to prevent companies from being able to call soy milk

"milk."

Because they say that it does not contain the same nutrients that are in milk.

And, I guess that's true.

It doesn't have the same nutrients.

It doesn't have cholesterol.

It doesn't have a lot of the negative things.

It doesn't contain lactose that many people can't process.

It doesn't have any of those things.

And it's just fascinating to me that this industry

is so concerned about non-dairy milks.

And when you start seeing the recommendations from scientists,

you start realizing why.

And the answer is that it has become fairly evident that after you have been weaned,

you don't any longer require mammalian milk.

And you probably never required the milk of large ruminants,

at any point in your life, since you are not

- I assume if you're watching this -

a large ruminant.

So, if you are a human being, you probably needed

human breast milk at some point in your life,

and after that point you were fine with pretty much any fortified beverage that contains

calcium,

or eating a diet that's extremely rich in dark, leafy greens and things like that.

It makes a lot more sense just to drink either a beverage that's fortified with calcium,

or just to eat a healthy diet with plenty of greens.

And, according to Harvard's School of Public Health,

you don't even necessarily need fortified vegan products, either.

You could probably do just fine with a nice healthy diet.

Personally, I do like to eat fortified products, just because

I guess, like my grandmother, I'm still fairly paranoid that I'm going to have weak bones.

And so, I like to drink those products just because I like not having to worry so much

about osteoporosis.

That may be overkill on my part.

But I do try to make sure I get a certain amount of calcium per day.

Around 1300 mg or something like that,

I believe is the recommendation for an adult female,

1200-1300, something like that.

So it's a fairly high amount.

And if you were drinking milk,

you'd be drinking 4 glasses of milk to try and reach that amount.

And of course, again, because we don't know how much of that milk would actually...the

calcium would actually get into your bones,

it may not be that helpful for you.

Now, I don't think the USDA wants your bones to crumble,

I'm sure that they mean quite well,

but I also think that they've ignored medical science for a long time.

I wonder sometimes when we hear about the negative effects of dairy products,

if dairy and red meat and processed meat are going to become like cigarettes were.

Where cigarette companies were allowed for so long to say that,

cigarettes might even be good for your health.

You know, to smoke the same brand that your doctor smokes,

because that's better for your health.

And, it's disappointing that dairy has taken so much longer for consumers to learn about.

If dairy really is as negative as the Harvard School of Public Health says that it may be,

it's somewhat concerning that it's taken us so long

in order to address this issue.

And, I think it's just - it's really helpful to hear from the medical consensus that this

actually is a very healthy diet.

That drinking milk is not only not necessary for good health,

it may, in fact, actually be bad for your health.

And so, I hope this actually just is an encouraging reminder

that you're doing the right thing if you're already vegan.

And if you're not vegan, and you feel that dairy products are important for your health,

please go to the Harvard School of Public Health,

and take a look at some of this information.

It just might change your mind,

and might make you feel much more comfortable about

switching to a plant-based diet.

I know that it certainly is comforting to me to see

that scientific consensus is on the side of plant-based diets.

As sad as it may be, the dairy farmers are probably not

the ones who should be telling you how much dairy you should consume each day.

The same goes for beef producers.

Likely,

they're going to want you to consume beef.

Just as the dairy farmers are going to want you to eat dairy.

And I'm sure the soy lobby wants you to drink soy milk.

That's why we need to have objective outside voices,

as much as possible.

And turn to them for the information.

And I appreciate that the USDA is trying, I think,

maybe to help people to eat a healthier diet,

but it is sad to see that they still haven't removed recommendations to eat red and processed

meat,

that they've not made any guidelines on that,

that they're still recommending three or four servings of dairy products per day.

The USDA's recommendations don't reflect current research,

and they also reflect an industry bias that I don't think is necessarily helpful to consumers.

I think one thing that I've learned from all of this is that it's best to get your dietary

recommendations from groups that are not driven by industry lobbyists.

And I think the World Health Organization and Harvard's School of Public Health are

both good bodies for getting that information.

You can also get pretty good information from registered dieticians,

or whatever it's called in the province or country where you live,

but registered dieticians are also a good source of information.

Thank you so much for watching.

Top 3 Bad Games That I Enjoy - Video Response - Duration: 7:12.

Hey, what's up?

Wes here, thanks a lot for tuning in.

So, I'm actually doing a video response to Michael B. The Game Genie, who just a few

days ago shared with us three bad games that he really enjoys.

And he actually encouraged us to do a video response so that we can share three bad games

that we really enjoy.

Now, after watching a couple of buddies do their responses; Miketendo and Benevolent

Dick, I thought, "Hey, this looks like a lot of fun, I want in on this."

So, here I am.

So we probably all have those guilty pleasures where we enjoy some really bad games that

no one else seems to like.

I too, am guilty of that, and I knew exactly what my first game was gonna be as soon as

I knew I was going to do this video.

Paperboy.

God, I hated this game as a kid.

I had actually liked the arcade version, but the NES version was just bad.

The graphics suck.

The music sucks.

The controls are awkward.

The sound effects are laughable.

Yet, I find myself returning to this game, time and time again.

Why?

I'm not even that great at it.

It's really tough and extremely frustrating.

But, it does have its charms.

When you can actually tell what the sprites are, Paperboy does have a weird sense of humor.

Skateboarding punks hog the sidewalk, and rabid dogs nip at your heels as you pedal

away.

You even have some guy pitchin' a fit on the side of the road and cross paths with

probably the most laughable antagonist of them all: the Grim Reaper.

Hitting the front porch with papers seven days a week isn't as easy as it sounds,

but with each day's work ending in an obstacle course to rack up bonus points with your scrubby

friends waiting at the end to smoke a fatty, the harrowing challenge is reward enough for

a job-well-done.

So the next bad game is one that I'm sure everyone is familiar with.

Pit-Fighter on the Super Nintendo.

*Laughs* I can't even keep a straight face.

I'm kidding.

No one would have that piece of shit on their list.

But Pit-Fighter on the Sega Genesis?

That's a different story.

I loved Pit-Fighter on the arcade as a kid.

I'm a sucker for digitized graphics, and at the time, the aesthetics of Pit-Fighter

was its siren song that called to me.

The Sega Genesis port, despite having much smaller character sprites, is a damn-faithful

rendition of the arcade original.

Now, personally, I don't think this is a bad game, but I'm well aware of the reputation

that Pit-Fighter has carried around for years.

Yeah, it's basically just a button-masher, and I admit, most of my love for this arena

fighter is based purely off of nostalgia, but it's a ton of fun beating the shit out

these colorful ruffians, who live for the sport of underground brawling.

I love all of the weapons that can be used, the power pills, and the crowd; filled with

cowards just waiting to sneak in a cheap shot.

And the last boss looks like he's a member of Demolition.

I mean, how cool is that?

I love how the sound effects are straight from the arcade, and how cheesy the forklift,

money counter is in between stages.

My biggest gripe with Pit-Fighter on the Genesis is the lack of 2-player co-op.

But whatever, I've loved Pit-Fighter for years, and still play it regularly.

Now, I know that this game is terrible.

I think the only reason I even like Total Recall is because it's my all-time favorite

movie.

When I was twelve my aunt and uncle got me Total Recall for Christmas.

I thought that it was really cool of them to give me a video game for the holidays,

and it wasn't until I was older that I realized that probably the only reason I got it, was

because it was off of the clearance rack.

I mean, the music is pretty bad, the sound effects are generic, the controls and hit

detection suck, and the graphics are weak, although during cut-scenes they aren't too

objectionable.

The car section is absolute garbage.

But believe it or not, there is actually stuff to like about Total Recall.

A game with glory holes can't be all bad, right?

It has cool little touches, like during the fight with Lori, on the monitors in the background

you can actually see Richter making his way up to the apartment by elevator.

And lots of scenes from the movie were included in the game—something which wasn't all

that common for licensed, 8-bit games.

Remember the x-ray tunnel?

Or how 'bout when Quaid had to fight off a gang of disheveled, hungry bums?

And that traitor, Benny?

And seriously?

There's no battle against Richter?

This game is unforgiving and brutally difficult.

It's littered with flaws, and is yet again, another poor NES title based off of a superb

film.

And there's obviously something wrong with me, cuz I totally dig it!

So there you go.

Those are three bad games that I really enjoy playing.

So what bad games are you a sucker for?

Which three games do you like to play that no one else really cares for?

Go ahead and let me know in the comments below, or better yet, go ahead and make a response

video for this.

You can leave a link to your video in the comments below as well.

I'm really interested to see what other people like in terms of bad video games.

Also, make sure to check out Michael B.'s, Miketendo's and Benevolent Dick's videos,

I'll leave links to all three videos in the description below.

Thanks a lot for checking this video out.

I'll catch all of you later.

Vlog 3 // Are we out of the woods yet? (Ice cold photos) - Duration: 6:06.

We're going on an adventure *Screaming in the background*.

Hello everyone and welcome to a new vlog

The last time I vlogged was last week, because I went to

Brussels with school for a guided tour in an editorial office.

You can watch that vlog here or here

Meanwhile nothing really happened, because this week I don't have classes.

What happened is that I got the results of my midterms.

I passed for everything

I don't know the result of 2 tests, so I'll have to wait for that.

But furthermore, everything was pretty good

In the weekend I editted the previous vlog and got a haircut.

And yeah, I didn't do anything more, because I slept very much

Cause I was tired of my midterms

And yeah, today I'm going to take photos this afternoon together with Lauren and Melissa

And this evening we're going to drink something in Bar de Q

That's going be a lot of fun

And you're going to see that because I'll take you guys with me

And yeah, that's pretty much what I'm going to do today.

Nothing more really

But I don't have classes this week, so that's allowed for one time.

I just ate and now I'm going to get ready to go take some photos.

We're going to meet at the store, because we need to buy a bubble blower for our photos.

So yeah, now I'm going to get ready and then I will leave

Gilles!

You're going to fall!

That's not going to work

Now we're in the forest, because a few minutes ago we didn't found an entrance

to enter the forest

A few minutes ago we also went to the store but they didn't had a bubble blower

So now we can't blow bubbles for our photos

So the photos are just going to be regular ones.

And now we're looking for a nice spot in the forest to take our photos

Melissa and Lauren are ahead of me

So yeah now we're going to take some photos

It's officially snowing!

And it's super cold!

Yeah, that was Melissa

And Lauren.

We're now walking further in the forest to find another spot to

take some photos

It's snowing

It's really really cold

We're really freezing, but yet we're going to take some more pictures.

We're now taking photos on the train rails

It's beginning to snow more and more but I have no idea if you can see that.

But yeah, it's snowing pretty hard

It's super nice, but also freezing cold

So no idea why we're taking photos now at the moment

We're now back from taking some pictures

Now we're going back to the center of Eeklo to drink something (hot), because it's so cold

I said that already a few times

So yeah now we're cycling back to the city

Then we're going to Coiffee to drink some hot chocolate

I just quickly came home to eat something and in an hour I'm going back

to Lauren and Melissa, because they're eating something in the city

And then we're going to Bar de Q to drink something and to end the day

And then is my day over

Then i'm coming back home and then I can sleep

I just watched the photos very quickly and if you wanna see more pictures

you should really follow me on instagram

The link is somewhere down below in the description box

So yeah now I'm getting ready again to leave the house

I'm laying back in my bed at home, because I'm back from Bar de Q

And it was super cozy!

We ended the day very good again

And I'm going to end the vlog here, because I'm going to bed

Be sure to like and subscribe

and sharing is off course also allowed

I'll see you in the next vlog!

The N word | Tana vs Idubbbz & more - Duration: 3:42.

So today

I'm going

to be talking about the n word

Bounce Back - Big Sean

Let me tell yall

about it

whether it be

Nigga

or

N*****

they both

don't need

to be used anymore

Okay

when it comes down to the word

If it's going

to be used

it needs

to only

be used

by black people

Not

Asians

Not Caucasians

Not Latinos

The word derived

from

hard r

that word

and specifically

was used

on

black slaves

Ancestors of

the black people

then we took

the word

and we turned it into something else

it's our word

and the reason we get

so upset when other

people are using it

is cause it's like was that

word used on your ancestors

to dehumanize them

NO it was not

I'm not saying

I'm not comparing myself

to like a slave or whatever

cause we were never slaves

the last living slave died

in 1971 (American Slave)

the fact that any other

person who is not black

says it it's like a slap in the face

ASFGHJKL

the whole

Tara

and idubbbz situation

now i'm thinking about it

is her name tana?

she was being really over dramatic

she was crying and whatever

and how her fans must feel

and her black fans

but it's like

One

you used it in the past

and you used it in a insulting way

now she claims that

she didn't know what it meant

she thought it meant homie

and then the way she used it it's not how

you would use homie

like she said you blank

the context just doesn't add up

she said she heard people calling eachother it

she said

she heard it in songs

she said she didn't know what it meant

how?

she was talking about idubbbz

which is a whole

nother stressful situation

the way he uses it

is

he says blank

and then

uses

a homophobic slur

he's using the word

as if

it didn't mean this

vile thing

he shouldn't be saying it

and his fans always

are quick to come to his defense

and they're getting on uhm

Tara

he's doing the same thing

just cause he doesn't direct it at anyone

doesn't mean it's not still offensive

that's my whole

feeling on the situation

"the N word pass"

which alotta people

like to use

oh yea you cool

you could say the word

you cool enough

you basically black

no

how can you tell one person they can

say it

what if one of their black friends

tells them they can't say it

it's just

confusing

people say it's just a word

everybody be wanting

to try to say it oh can I say it? can i say it?

for what?

you're not black

if we due away with that word

the power

is taken from it

how are you getting mad?

when you're still using it ?

is what

everybody

who isn't black

argument is

we still have a right to get mad

it's our word

the thing i hate is when

someone uses hard r

towards a black person

and the black person says cracker back

do you realize

it's not an insult

cracker

is what the slaves used to call

the masters

when they cracked the whip

in conclusion

the word should not be used at all...

if you disagree

give me your valid points on why

you disagree

The 5 Oldest Musical Instruments - Duration: 3:51.

Some musical instruments have been around a really long time, but how long exactly?

Find out now with this list of the 5 oldest kinds of musical instruments

# 5 Lyre The oldest known form of music notation comes

from a cuneiform tablet found in the ancient Sumerian city of Nippur, in what is now Iraq.

The tablet is dated to around 2000 BC, and describes the lyre, a common instrument in

ancient Mesopotamia.

The tablet also reveals information on Mesopotamian performance, scales, and harmony.

Evidence of the lyre can also be found in the marble figure of a musician, found on

the Greek of island of Keros and dated to 2700-2500 BC.

The lyre today is most closely associated with Greek culture, but examples of this plucked

string instrument can be found all over Europe, Asia, and Africa.

# 4 Pitched percussion Evidence of xylophones and slit drums begins

between 7,500 to 2,000 BC.

Ancient xylophones have been found in east and south east asia and were made of wooden

bars on top of hollowed-out gourds, played with spoon shaped wooden mallets.

The earliest slit drums begin showing up around 7500 B.C., and were made by using fire to

hollow out a log.

H-shaped slits were then cut into the surface, allowing different pitches to be produced.

Slit drums have been used in Africa, southeast asia, and oceania, and, in addition to music,

are useful for long distance communication.

# 3 Bullroarer The bullroarer is what's known as a free

aerophone.

It consists of a chord and a wing-shaped piece of wood and produces sound by being swung

rapidly through the air.

The earliest example dates back to Paleolithic Ukraine, about 17000 B.C., but examples of

the instrument are found in many ancient cultures including Greek, Australian Aboriginal, Native

American, Maori, and Northern Europe.

In most of these cultures bullroarer has magical properties, usually tied to the weather or

healing.

It is also used to communicate over vast distances.

# 2 Flute Flutes are the oldest discovered instruments

ever created.

Appearing between, 43 and 67 thousand years ago, early flutes were typically made of animal

bone, especially those of birds, since their bones are already hollow.

The oldest known flute is a bone fragment from a cave bear femur with two evenly-spaced

holes, found in Slovenia.

Believed to be between 43 and 67,000 years old, this instrument may have been part of

Neanderthal culture.

Other ancient examples of bone flutes can be found in Germany, France, China, and Peru,

and examples flutes of different kinds can be found in almost every culture on earth.

# 1 Stalactites We don't know exactly when early people

began hitting things in rhythm, but the earliest known examples of instruments dedicated to

that task may be stalactites, stalagmites, and other cave features especially selected

for their acoustic properties.

Lya Dams and others in the field of archeoacustics, have discovered evidence of repeated man made

strikes on these cave features, and theorize that this is evidence that cave features were

used as musical instruments.

Many stalactites and stalagmites appear to have been deliberately shaped to improve their

sound, some are even colored black and red, seeming to indicate the best place to strike,

and many of these features are found only in caves with large, resonant spaces.

Appearing in caves that were inhabited by Paleolithic peoples, it gives a whole new

spin on the term underground music scene.

Appearing between, 43 and 67 thousand years ago, early flutes were typically made of animal

bone, especially those of birds, since their bones are already hollow.

holes, found in Slovenia.
