Youtube daily report Feb 11 2017

It has started. Dino's birthday V LIVE has begun!

We're going to have more viewers.

Please join us.

Yes.

Hello, there. They are here.

I've just done a fan meeting.

Please understand. I'm quite hyper right now.

It's my birthday, but I'm doing the V LIVE alone.

All right.

Hello.

I've turned on the V LIVE.

There are so many comments from fans bidding me happy birthday.

Thank you so much.

I've said this a lot at the fan meeting earlier. Thank you so much.

I'm filled with tears. Up to this much.

It's filled till my neck. It's not in my eyes yet. I'm sorry.

A fan asked if I've eaten seaweed soup for birthday.

My manager bought me the seaweed soup this morning and I ate it.

I'm doing the V LIVE on my own a lot these days. Right?

It's nice that we have a lot of special events in February including graduation.

It's V LIVE. I'm sorry.

"Happy Birthday". A fan asked what members did for my birthday.

Well, as soon as it struck 12 last night,

Seungkwan bought me a chicken, and they all bought me a cake.

They've bought me a cake.

A cake with only white cream. It only had a cream.

So I asked them why they've bought the white cream cake of all.

And they said that they've bought it for me so that I'd be as pure and innocent as the cake.

I thanked them.

Thank you members. That's right. It was milk cake.

And Jeonghan bought me a Crong chocolate.

I guess it's because I'm Dino the dinosaur. He told me to eat the whole thing before I sleep.

Thank you Jeonghan anyways.

Members have bid me happy birthday a lot.

But since I'm... I'm not good at expressing my emotions.

I am very grateful to you all.

I have a hoarse throat right now.

I guess it's because I've shouted a lot and said thank you a lot.

If you couldn't make it to the fan meeting today, don't be so sad.

I'm doing the V LIVE for those of you.

It would be great if the fans who came to the fan meeting to watch this as well.

Thank you so much.

Today, we have the first full moon of the lunar New Year.

I think the full moon will be already up by now.

Make sure to watch the full moon

and eat five-grain rice and make a wish.

I will definitely make a wish to be with our Carat fans forever.

A fan asked if I've been hit for the birthday. (There's a tradition of hitting the birthday person)

I think members are holding on to that because of the fan meeting.

Can I say that?

Anyways.

Oh, you've seen "Immortal Songs?" That's very touching.

Have you watched "Immortal Songs?"

Thank you so much for watching the show. "Did you cry today?"

Well, I said this earlier, but I didn't cry.

- I don't cry much usually. - Happy Birthday!

What's wrong with you?

What the... Thank you, Jun.

He is lovely indeed. He's said happy birthday.

Jun is the best.

I like him a lot.

For today, I've prepared a special performance for today.

And I'm sure that some of you will come tomorrow as well, right?

Please don't spoil the fun if you've seen my performance today.

I've done a special performance today. Please don't be a spoiler.

Some of the fans who come tomorrow might not know about it.

- Thank you. - Soonyoung.

Come on. Show yourself.

Vernon called for Soonyoung without knowing that I'm doing the V LIVE.

Yeah brother from a different mother.

- Thank you. - Happy birthday bro.

Was it three years ago, Vernon?

He bought me a cap for birthday when we were trainees. Don't you have anything today?

- I've bought you the cake last night. - Oh yeah, you did.

- Oh yeah? - I forgot. You should get me a gift.

- What did you get me for my birthday? - All right.

- I will say hello. - OK.

That's...

I'm so happy this February.

- I've been very happy for the past few weeks. - You were?

- You were? - Once a member joins, they all join.

- Didn't we sleep together yesterday? - We slept together last night.

- For Dino's birthday... - In February...

- Why are you so hyper? - Don't do that.

- I do V LIVE alone a lot. - So?

- It feels like that it's my season. - Your season? - Yes.

Don't be mistaken. It's because today's your birthday.

- You have only 3 hours left. Two hours and 32 minutes to be exact. - That's too much.

- What's too much? - Is that what you should say on my birthday? - Happy Birthday!

Mingyu is the only one who takes care of me.

I hugged Dino when we slept last night, but he took all the blanket.

It was so cold last night. Are you listening to me?

- You took all the blanket to your side. - Seungkwan.

- Happy Birthday. - Don't do that. You don't have to do that!

Kissing members is so easy these days.

- It's my first time getting the peck on the cheek from Mingyu. - Mingyu... - It's my first.

- Oh my God. - How about mine?

- Isn't it amazing? - You're more amazing.

Vernon doesn't do that much. When I ask him, "What are you doing?"

And he said, "I will never peck on your cheek".

- But he's doing it for my birthday. - I love my Dino.

Carat fans, the fan meeting is over, but I love you all so much.

- Fans who couldn't come will be sad. - I know.

I felt that I'm being loved by a lot of people.

Especially the ones who are so pretty.

As you do this, I'm so grateful, and I get to work harder.

I will work harder from now on

to meet your expectations and your love.

- I will work hard. - I will pay you back. - Way to go.

Carat fans who are around the world, have you watched "Immortal Songs" today?

Yes, a lot of fans wrote that they've watched "Immortal Songs".

(Singing)

- It's sad that it was over quickly. - We did well.

- I think I look better than you now. - I know.

- He cried. - He's been crying.

Happy birthday Dino. Hope you have the most wonderful day.

I think I've been happy all day thanks to our Carat fans.

To be honest, it didn't feel that it's my birthday this morning.

I was busy rehearsing and getting ready for performance.

I couldn't really think that it's my birthday.

But Carat fans bid me happy birthday and 7,000 fans made the slogan.

And there were birthday candles using "SEBONG".

I was very touched.

A bit later, I will do something special.

Please check out our fan cafe.

- Are you going to post something? - Yes. - Do it.

- Visit the cafe often. - You should post something actively to the fan cafe

for fans to communicate with us.

There's a rumor that 10,000 fans newly joined our fan cafe ever since I became active.

- No? - Who said that to you?

That looks like Seungkwan's cake.

- I'm sorry. - I guess that it's good.

- I'm kidding. Help yourself. - I will.

It's so big. You won't leave a mark. It's so good.

I should wrap up the V LIVE.

I don't want to finish.

- I'm so happy. Do you know what I mean? - Yes.

- Carat fans... - Go on.

The fact that you are there no matter what we do, and that we make music for you

is a great gift. I mean it.

- Read some more comments. - OK.

I really don't want to graduate.

There's my emoticon.

Thank you very much.

Here's another member. Here is Hoshi.

It's time to wrap up.

Carat fans, it's Dino's birthday.

- Hasn't he grown up so well? - Oh my God. Why do you do that?

- Hey, Lee Chan! What are you doing? - Turn the light off.

- When did I say that? - You always do that.

- You guys exaggerate too much. - All right. OK.

- What did you say? - What's wrong with him?

He's always like that. He's doing it because he knows that there will be short clips of him.

- He's expecting that. - He knows what works.

Let me make a short clip. Kind Seungkwan who feeds Dino.

- You shouldn't do this in my V LIVE. - I'm sorry.

In my V LIVE... Thank you.

Everyone, please remember me like this.

Next year, I will be much better on my next birthday.

I will be more handsome. Don't think that this is my best self.

- Right? I will be... - The man in history.

I will be an artist in history. And I think that I am

- the future of Seventeen. - You're the future? What are you saying?

- I'm joking. - All right.

- It's because I'm the youngest. - That's right.

- I will be fabulous when I'm around your age. - What do you mean?

Never mind.

I guess that was too much to deny what you said.

It's time to wrap up now. Thank you so much.

If you're heading home, take care.

With the full moon shining...

(Singing)

I can't sing well because I have a hoarse throat. "You're the reason I exist".

Thank you.

Can I say this? On February 13...

- That we're headed to Japan? - No. - What?

- Everyone. - What are you doing?

Because of the 13th, Carat fans will...

Yes, we will have a very good news. Please look forward to it.

Stop now.

- Thank you everyone. - Bye.

- I will do it. - All right. Do it.

- No, I will just... - He doesn't want to do it.

- I will just make a heart and end it. - You're so...

What's wrong?

I love you.

- Good night. Bye. Thank you. I love you. - All right.

I love you.

MY SLEEP SCHEDULE IN MED SCHOOL(surgery rotation) + How I Study For Anatomy | Med School Vlog - Duration: 9:53.

Happy Saturday guys!

It's about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

I just finished 3rd week of surgery rotation.

My sleep schedule is a little weird right now because I had call Wednesday night thru

Thursday morning and then I had rest of Thursday off but then I had to go back on Friday, early

morning.

Then I worked all day Friday.

This morning I had to wake up early and just go in to rounds.

So I was only there for maybe 3 hours or so.

I took a little nap in the morning and now I'm up.

Physically speaking, it's (surgery rotation) like pretty demanding cause you really have

to prioritize sleep when you're done, and when you come home from the hospital.

Sometimes it's as early as 5 but sometimes it's as late as 7-7:30pm.

I know in other teams, people come home later.

It's very resident dependent and very attending dependent.

Pretty much you have to come home and go to bed by 9 o'clock, otherwise you're not getting

enough sleep at all.

So that's what I've been trying to do.

Trying to squeeze my workout and studying in between those times as well.

It's been pretty hectic but I'm enjoying myself and enjoying my rotation.

For today, I'm just gonna study a little bit now that I've gotten plenty of sleep.

I think I might be coming down with something cause my voice is a little nasal-y but I'm

gonna try to get some studying done since it's Saturday and I'm off for the rest of

the day and I'm off tomorrow as well so it's the perfect time to catch up on some stuff.

I've actually been using my old First Aid book.

I bound it into smaller section.

Basically I wanted to look at the GI chapter because in general surgery you look at the

abdominal cavity a lot so I'm reviewing some of that.

I'm using some of my markers to draw some of the anatomy.

Let me show you guys, so a lot of people ask me what to do when you're studying anatomy

and how to master it.

I think the best way is to probably draw it.

So things that are kinda confusing like the blood supply in the foregut out the celiac

branch or the celiac trunk.

I just like to draw it out and label everything and just do it multiple times till you really

understand it so that's what I did a couple nights ago.

I'm gonna continue studying sorta the blood supply of the abdomen today.

So I will see you guys later.

Hi guys!

So it's about 5 o'clock.

I've been studying for a few hours doing some questions and I think I'm going to take a

little break and maybe go out.

I wanna buy more tea because I'm feeling a little under the weather.

Maybe I'll watch a movie and maybe I'll resume studying a little bit later.

So I'm in Union Square meeting up with babe.

Actually he's probably here already cause I'm a little late.

Oo lots of stuff going around here.

Anyway, ahh! there he is!

Right there.

Okay so this is the restaurant that we're gonna eat at.

It's called Basta Pasta.

So that was a really good meal.

Basta Pasta is a fusion of Japanese and Italian restaurant.

They'll have traditional Italian-type of dishes but with a Japanese twist.

All the ingredients are super fresh.

I love coming here.

I'm feeling a little sick.

I think I might be coming down with something so I'm gonna go buy some tea cause I'm out

of tea.

Okay, now we're looking for some coffee and dessert place.

Maybe more coffee than dessert or maybe both!

So we're here at this place called Coffee Project NY. Let's check it out!

Hi Candy!

Where are you going?

Hey cat come on.

Hey guys so I'm back.

It's like so nasty out.

It's cold and rainy.

But right next to the coffee store that I went to, there was a really cool record store

and I was browsing through and it brought back so many fond memories.

I think in high school I really wanted a record player and parents went in to a garage sale

one day and they surprised me with one.

Ever since then I would go to garage sales in college in NY I would go to record stores

and look at them and browse them, it was really just fun times.

This store was super cute and they had a lot of really great stuff.

I didn't buy anything because I'm in a phase of not accumulating a ton of stuff but it

was really fun to look through everything.

And I wanted to show you guys what I have like collected.

Collection is a too strong a word cause I don't really buy them anymore but I wanna

show you guys what I have.

Let me show you guys!

So... organic chemistry set.

Here are the records that I have.

These two are new they were recent gifts.

So I have Amy Winehouse and Adele and all the other ones are from high school and college.

I have Dave Brubeck Quartet, Michael Jackson, Billy Holiday--I love this one.

The Sound of Music with Julie Andrews, Perry Como, another Dave Brubeck Quartet, Roger

Williams, more Dave Brubeck Quartet, The Smiths, this was a gift I believe.

And just a bunch of random stuff.

There's some classical in here.

Simon and Garfunkel, this one is actually pretty heavily scratched up so it's kinda

hard to listen to.

Oo another Sound of Music but this is an older one so I don't think this one has Julie Andrews

singing or does it?

I don't think so.

Some Christmas ones, love story, just a whole bunch of random stuff, that I've accumulated

over the years.

I don't really buy them anymore cause I'm trying not to--oo The Shins!

I don't really buy them anymore because everything is available on Spotify these days and I feel

like I'm trying to minimize the stuff that I have, I don't know, it's like I really can't

seem to get rid of these because it's like sentimental to have these around.

So I just kept this little box of it with me.

That's all I'm gonna have for know but yeah, it was really cool to look through the records

in the store.

I really enjoyed it.

So time-fun is over.

I think I really have to get back to studying, so I'm gonna study for a few more hours and

then head to bed early because I don't know, I'm just trying to keep a regular schedule

so I'm gonna be doing that.

Candy wants to be fed.

Yeah, ok, ok.

Jeff Kaplan: Mei's body shape controversy and new browsing features - Duration: 3:26.

Welcome everybody to another developer update.

I'm Jeff from the Overwatch team.

Really excited about today's developer update because

we're gonna talk about a feature that we mentioned at BlizzCon

and we're finally introducing to you guys.

And that feature is

the "Scum Browser".

. It's a really cool feature where

people can mark other players

for being a terrible member of the Overwatch community

and then other people can find that player's BattleTag

in a public list and then

then harass them until they improve their behaviour.

And there's all sorts of sorting and filtering options

to help you find exactly what kind of player you're looking for.

We have a really cool filter option that lets you filter directly

directly for things like "Bastion mains"

or we've added a type-in box where you can type in exactly what you're looking for.

. You might just say

"person who keeps putting their spray over mine"

or "players who hit the ball off the spawn room table".

So, that's just one of the small social features

we're gonna keep making ones like that to really encourage people to, you know

hopefully make lifelong enemies playing Overwatch

and turn on each other

because we think it really enhances the experience.

Now one area where we might not see eye to eye on with the player base

is Mei's Lunar New Year skins.

Uhm so I know some players were really upset

about her ass shape

Uhm, the truth is we believe

Mei can be a big, beautiful character

but still fit in to Overwatch in a really positive way

. So we plan to grow Mei's ass

ass in a really healthy, sort of slow growth sort of way

so that by the end of June

it will be large enough to balance six Roadhogs on top of it.

. And of course, there will be some new emotes for when other heroes

interact with Mei's ass.

For example, Tracer can't resist the urge

to press her face against it, and wait until you see

Winston with Primal Rage what he can do. It's pretty amazing.

Year of the Rooster event was fantastic

People have responded so positively to Capture the Rooster.

You guys really seem to enjoy

standing around for up to five minutes defending your flag.

Uhm, and there was this feeling of excitement,

wondering, you know, will this game

end in a tie

tie or maybe a draw?

So that was a lot of fun for you guys.

And we are adding nine additional Capture the Rooster maps

for the super low price of 25.99.

So you should sort of prepare yourself for that.

Sort of out of time right now but

but if you ever have a topic you want us to cover please let us know about it.

Thanks for your dedication and support, and we'll see you in the next one.

We have an absolutely fantastic music group here at Blizzard

but anything they can do Jeff can do better, so..

[Breathing Intensifies]

Two to the one from the one to the three,

, what's up this is Jeff from the Overwatch team

Making changes you wouldn't believe

. Gonna take you out with a long range beam.

Boson 4.0 - $400 Gaming PC Build (2017) - Duration: 5:29.

- Hey guys, this is Austin, and welcome to

the Boson 4.0

So, for $400, not only are you getting a system

that's going to be easy to build,

especially if this is your first time

building a gaming PC,

we're also getting a lot of power.

So to start with, we have the Thermaltake Versa H15 case.

So this is going to be micro-ATX, which means

that we have plenty of room for

all of our components plus a little bit of

upgrading in the future.

But more importantly than that,

it's going to be easy to work in.

So, if I pop it open here,

you can see that I'm looking at the wrong side.

But in theory it's easy to work on

if I come at it from this way.

So around back, there's a 120mm exhaust fan,

and up front there's a USB 2 port,

as well as a USB 3.

So while this might not be the most fancy case in the world,

it does have some cool features,

including a removable dust filter for

your power supply, for when you put this

on carpet and it gets all gross and dusty.

For power, we have the 430 watt EVGA supply.

Now, especially when it comes to budget builds,

you do need to be careful

what kind of power supply you're getting.

So, while sure, there are cheaper options than this,

this is kind of the heart of the build.

You do not want to put a very cheap

supply in your build and have it explode.

Maybe not explode, but seriously,

you do want to at least get something decent.

And with 430 watts of capacity,

this should be more than enough for the build as is.

So once we get the power supply slid in here,

you'll see that it actually fits pretty well.

And while this case doesn't have

the best cable management in the world,

we actually do have some room back here

to route some of our cables.

For the motherboard, we have the MSI B250M Pro-VD.

Because motherboard names are awesome.

What is cool about this is

it is with that B250 chipset, supporting not only

Skylake, but also the brand new Intel Kaby Lake processors.

So, while it's a little bit of a basic board,

we do have some cool features, including

check out that PCI slot.

So I've actually never seen one that's metal.

The idea is that this is gonna give

some more protection when you're say,

traveling with a computer, and you've got

that heavy graphics card that's trying to

rip the whole thing out of the slot.

Trust me, it happens.

On top of that, we also do have an M.2 slot,

which not only supports SSDs, but also

the new Intel Optane.

Powering the Boson 4.0 is the new Intel Pentium G4560.

Now, typically Pentiums haven't been good for gaming builds,

but what's special about this

is that it supports hyper threading,

essentially turning this into a Core i3

that costs a whole lot less.

So even though it might be cheap,

don't underestimate the Pentium.

With a clock speed of 3.5 gigahertz,

it actually really isn't that far off

from even the higher end chips

like the Core i5, depending on the game.

But generally speaking for a build like this,

this is gonna be pretty much perfect.

So this is actually going to be my first time

trying the G4560.

Now, as a guy who's done just a couple of budget builds,

I'm really excited to see what this thing can do,

but from everything I've seen,

it is no joke as far as performance goes.

Next up we have memory, and here we're using

eight gigabytes of Hyper-X Fury.

So the cool things about Skylake and Kaby Lake chips

is that they do support DDR4.

So while it's not really a huge difference

compared to DDR3, it is a little bit quicker,

and hey, I'll always take a couple extra frames

when I can get 'em.

So this is going to give us eight gigabytes of RAM

in the Boson, which is fine for now,

but if you ever do want to upgrade,

we do have an additional DIMM slot,

so if you ever want to get this guy

up to 16 gigabytes, it's no problem.

So things are coming along pretty nicely so far,

however next up, we have the graphics card,

which in this case is an EVGA GTX 1050.

So the GTX 1050 is another one of these parts

that really does make a ton of sense for budget builds.

For about $110 or so, we're getting

a lot of horsepower here.

And especially when you pair it with that Pentium,

we should be good for some pretty decent 1080p gaming.

While it packs a punch, the 1050 is

a pretty small little card.

Now that's not exactly a bad thing.

Not only does it easily fit in our case,

with tons of room to spare,

but it also is completely powered from the motherboard.

So while we have all of our connectors

for more beefy graphics cards,

this guy pulls all the power it needs

straight from that PCI slot.

And that is about it.

However, not but not least, we have an SSD.

And yes, this is an SSD in a $400 system.

So it is 2017, and I am a firm believer

that you should not be buying or building

a computer without an SSD.

It makes such a huge difference to

every day usability of a computer,

so much faster, so much less frustrating.

So for this, we actually went with

a Kingston SSDNow UV400, and the only real downside

with this is that it's only 120 gigabytes.

So if you don't mind going just a little bit over

the $400 budget, you can upgrade this

to 240 gigabytes, or, since this is a gaming PC,

and we have plenty of room for expansion,

you can add an additional hard drive here

to have extra stuff like games, files,

that kind of thing, so you kind of get

the best of both worlds.

And it's as simple as that to build the Boson 4.0.

So now I'm going to do a little bit of

cable management, get this guy all up and running,

and we'll see what it can actually do.

So this is Grand Theft Auto 5 running on the Boson.

So right now we're playing at 1080p High settings,

and we're getting anywhere between about

70 to 100 frames, depending on what we're doing.

So this is a 144hz monitor, so that extra frame rate

actually does look nice and smooth,

but if you're playing on a standard display,

you can actually crank the setting up even more

and still get a very smooth output.

Next up we have Overwatch, and this is

one of those games that really does look better

on PC versus console.

Not only do the graphics look nice

at 1080p on high, we're also getting

a super smooth 80 to about 100 frames per second.

Now, I think, I mean, sure, it's totally playable

on console, and even if you're playing at 60hz,

it's fine, but being able to have the option

of actually really cranking that

graphics setting up, while still getting

a nice solid frame rate, is really helpful.

For $400, the Boson 4.0 is a pretty solid

little gaming PC.

So as always, the links to everything

you guys need to actually build this guy

will be in the description.

I'm curious, what do you guys think about the latest Boson?

Let me know in the comments below,

and I will catch you on the next one.

How Should We Define Intelligent Life? - Duration: 4:21.

If you were to rank plants, whales, and humans based on their intelligence - who would win

the Most Intelligent Species on Earth Award?

One of the biggest questions humans have ever asked is: Are we alone in the universe?

There's a field of science dedicated to this question known as the Search for Extraterrestrial

Intelligence - or SETI.

In order for SETI scientists to do their job they had to agree on what makes certain life

Intelligent, so they'd know what to look for.

SETI scientists came to the consensus that intelligence is associated with the ability

to create technology.

Some of our best technologies emit radio waves and so SETI has concentrated their work on

searching for radio waves in the universe.

But if we're only searching for life like us, we may be overlooking species that are

intelligent in other ways.

There are many different types of intelligent life on our own planet.

For example, plants.

That may sound ridiculous, but if you grade intelligence based on a species' communication

system and their ability to populate a planet, plants would be considered by many scientists

as an intelligent species.

Charles Darwin - who passionately studied plants for most of his life - thought of them

like upside-down animals where their thinking organ was at the root and their sexual organs

were on top.

And - he may have been more right than he realized.

Recent studies have shown that plant roots not only have the ability to sense soil characteristics

like water, nutrients, and the availability of oxygen, but they also change their behavior

based on this information.

Instead of just one big brain - or root - most plants have millions of individual roots,

each working together like a complex network - no one root necessary to survive.

Because of this, plants have a remarkable ability to survive catastrophic events.

Trees, for example, can live on even after losing 90% or more of their roots.

With this unique ability, it's no wonder why plants dominate animals on land with more

than 1,000 times the amount of biomass.

So - if world domination was a numbers game, plants would beat animals a thousand to one.

But animals eat plants so maybe there's more to intelligence.

Like brains, right?

Humans are known for their uniquely large brains.

To compare this to other species, scientists came up with something called the Encephalization

Quotient, or EQ.

An EQ for a given species is calculated using their average brain to body mass ratio compared

to other similarly sized animals.

It's thought of as sort of a proxy for intelligence.

On the higher end, humans have an EQ of around 7.8 - which means our brain is about 7.8 times

larger than would be expected for our body size - the bottlenose dolphin is at 5.3, chimpanzees

are at 2.5, and dogs are around 1.2.

And what about whales?

Whales are considered to be reasonably intelligent And certain species like the Sperm Whale the

heaviest brains in the animal kingdom.

But interestingly, the sperm whale has a measly EQ of 0.58That's because the EQ equation

doesn't work as well for animals that are extremely large or extremely small.

To get a more accurate understanding of whale's intelligence - we'd have to compare how

complex different species' communication systems are.

Humans are thought to dominate the animal kingdom in this category, but whales may not

be that far behind.

Humpback whales, for instance, are known for their remarkably complex songs - their mating

calls, for example, are the most complex acoustic displays in the entire animal kingdom.

And interestly enough, a recent study suggests that prairie dogs may have a communication

system that's even more complex than whales.

One researcher who studied the prairie dog for three decades found that their calls contained

different barks, squeals, squeaks, and frequency modulations, and each animal called out in

unique tones.

The prairie dogs had different calls for different predators and the same "words" could be

understood by all the members of the colony.

The universe just may be filled with intelligent prairie dogs, whales, and plants -andddd we'd

never know it.

SETI couldn't find them because they don't create radiowave emitting technology.

But maybe in the future we'll think of a better way to search for all possible forms

of intelligent life... for now we'll have to stick to the kinds of aliens that act like

us.

[male 1 in voiceover] I had a feeling you wanted to see me.

[male 1] What can I do you for?

- I like a kind of woman like yourself. - Okay, fine. I'll have dinner with you.

- Because I'm... hungry, but we are only talking. - Get outta here.

- No rules. No more secrets. - Come on baby.

Gimme a kiss.

- So you're a control freak? - One can never have too much power.

- He was very intense. - Her legs... went on for days.

[male 1 speaking softly] You know that I'm complicating this?

Could we go someplace else?

Are you gonna make love to me now?

- You just gonna stand their gawking? - I won't bite.

- I find you intimidating. - Your boyfriend has a reputation.

[male 1] Do you want to be kept?

I have respect... I've never looked at another woman.

[female 2] Do you think you're the first woman that has tried to save him?

[male 2] It's not enough to say you love someone...

You have to show it.

[male 1] I want to show you something.

Why? What's in there?

Hope I can rock your world.

Francois Bailly-Maitre's Ibis Mojo HD | GMBN Pro Bikes - Duration: 4:45.

- Today's Pro Bike check is French Enduro racer

Francois Bailey-Maitre's Ibis Mojo HD.

(upbeat electronic music)

So starting off up at the handlebars, these are by

French brand, they're SB3.

And they're quite wide.

These are actually unmarked carbon bars.

Prototypes at the moment.

They come in 810-mil wide, but Francois has cut them down

to about 780.

SB3 grips as well, quite chunky.

There's quite a large diameter on these.

50-mil stem.

The brakes and the gears are both Shimano, so we've

got the Saint brakes or the downhill brake.

Really aggressive, big four-pot calibre system.

Big stoppers on this bike.

And we've got the Di2 gears, so it's a one-system.

Shimano XTR Di2 shifter up here.

And you've got this display that lets you know what

gear you're in, let's you set the actual settings

for the gears, how fast the gear moves, things like that.

And also, shows you the battery, how much you've got left.

You've also got this Polar computer up on the bars.

It's got Francois' name.

That's pretty trick.

So down to the front of the bike,

we've got this Fox 36 Fork and 160-mil travel.

You see an awful lot of spacers underneath this stem,

just to get the bars up nice and high,

so it's a pretty sort of downhill-y setup that we do see

on many of these modern Enduro race bikes.

Got big tyres, got Schwalbe Magic Mary upfront.

It's a big, chunky tyre and a Hans Dampf on the rear.

So this bike has boost fork and a boost rear end.

It's that new standard of wider hub widths,

which is 110 on the front and 148 on the rear.

If you see with these wheels as well, these are Ibis carbon

rims, and they're actually really wide, asymmetrical as

well, so the spokes sit slightly off to one side.

And that gives this tyre a really big sort of profile.

Industry Nine hubs, and it's got Shimano 203 disc

on the front and a 180 on the rear,

so again, pretty big brakes all around.

So the Mojo HD is a 160-mil travel bike.

We've got this Fox Float X-2 shock on the rear,

so the big air canister, the downhill shock.

It's got high and low speed compression and rebound,

but also you've got this lock out down here,

so no remote lock out.

To actually lock it out for pedalling, you have to lean down

and flip this blue switch around.

Shimano Full Drive train as well we've got the XTR cranks,

175 mil, Shimano XTR SPDs,

and a 34-tooth chain ring.

It's a one by system.

We've got this Shimano modular chain device.

And you've got the 11-46 XT cassette.

At the moment, we can't get this XTR cassette

with such a big spread, so that's why

it's got the XT version and the XTR DI-2 rear mech.

So the bike is finished off with this Fox transfer

dropper seat post.

That's 150-mil travel drop, and the lever is mounted

underneath the bar, on the left-hand side where the front

mech shift would normally be.

And we've got this unusual-looking

Tioga Spyder Stratum saddle.

So Francois has got a brand new bike for this year,

and you've actually moved back to the smaller wheels.

How does that feel?

- I feel really different first.

In some places, it's make it a lot different.

That's for sure. - Yeah.

- And I need to like, to test like, in races,

like, Andes Pacifico to make my final opinion, I would say.

- Yeah.

- But it's really interesting.

Like, it's really playful and you can enjoy it more.

- Also, you've got these Ibis wheels

with the super-wide rims.

You think you'd run in really low tyre pressures.

Is that because of these rims?

It lets you run lower tyre pressures?

- Yeah, exactly.

The wider rim allow you to register pressure.

- Yep.

- But I was concerned about that

because in the pressure season, sometimes I can hit the rim.

And especially with the carbon rim, you can be really,

like, (laughs) you're riding on the edge.

You don't want to push too hard.

- Yeah.

- But it's, again, it's a good test,

and I will see how it goes.

I've been doing some good riding in really rough conditions.

- Yep.

It seems to be really good, so.

- It's down to about, sort of 1.3 bar, you said?

- Yeah. - It's like the low 20s?

- Yeah, around 20 psi.

- So what's your favourite thing about your bike?

- So also, there is, I really like this Slicy mudguard.

With the tuning Andes Pacifico special edition.

- And it's a pretty unusual-looking saddle.

Is that comfortable?

- Yeah, it's not too bad, actually.

It's the first days I'm testing it.

- Yeah.

- I'm pretty stoked about it.

- Cool.

Looks pretty unusual, but nice bike.

Thanks very much, Francois.

- Yeah, no worries.

John Degenkolb's Trek Madone - Duration: 3:02.

- John Degenkolb is about to start his first year of racing

with the Trek-Segafredo team

and this is his Trek Madone.

He's gonna use both the Madone and the Domane

depending on the nature of the course.

This version of the Trek Madone frameset

was launched at the 2015 Tour de France

and I think there are few things

that are really worth pointing out.

Starting at the front

we have got the flaps which I believe may be called Vectors

which hide the center-pull brake cable and mechanism

which makes it look really tidy

and improve the aerodynamics.

It's also a really highly integrated bike so you can see

the bars and stem

the spacers

all fit together

and you can hardly see a cable.

Well you can see two:

got the rear brake cable and

rear mech we got the DI2 wire.

Fall on point on this one is the IsoSpeed decoupler.

So the IsoSpeed decoupler

was initially on Trek's Domane

so they are more classics cobbled-orientated bike.

And what that does is that gives

a little bit of give if you will

so it provides a more comfortable ride.

Meaning this Madone is a bike that combines

aerodynamics and out-and-out speed

with a bit of comfort too.

Let's look at the build

and we'll start at the very top of the bike

where Degenkolb uses a Bontrager Montrose Pro Saddle

as carbon fibre rails.

Moving forwards

the handlebars and stem on the Madone are integrated

and they're much part of the frameset

you can see just how smoothly that all fits together.

Degenkolb goes for a 13 centimetre stem

which is quite long

and he uses a 40 centimetre bars

which are quite narrow

you'll often see professional cyclists

go for 42 centimetre bars.

Shifting is provided by Shimano Dura-Ace DI2.

So he has Dura-Ace DI2 levers

he has Dura-Ace DI2 sprint levers

actually nestled very close

to his lever hoods and on the tops

he's got a Dura-Ace DI2 lever there

so when he's riding on the tops climbing

that sort of thing he can change gear too.

Linked of course to the Dura-Ace shifters are

the Dura-Ace DI2 rear mech

and the Dura-Ace DI2 front mech.

Degenkolb has a Dura-Ace chainset

with an SRM power metre.

Where he's currently using

54-42 chainrings they're quite big.

He's got Dura-Ace pedals too.

And his cranks are 175 millimetres long.

He has a Dura-Ace chain and his cassette

which is also Dura-Ace is an 11 through to 28.

Wheels are supplied by Bontrager

and they are an Aeolus 5 in the front

and an Aeolus 6 at the rear.

So it's slightly deeper at the rear

slightly shallower at the front

just for better bike handling in crosswinds

and things like that.

That leaves a couple of things on the build –

Degenkolb is using Veloflex Roubaix tubular tyres

and he's using Trek's Bat Cage bottle cagers.

I think it's time to get the scales out.

Degenkolb's Trek Madone weighs in at 7.4 kilos.

It's when you consider how aerodynamic this bike is

that's a very good weight.

If you haven't already subscribed to GCN

please do it's absolutely free

and you get a cycling video or two everyday.

Click on our logo which should be right here.

If you'd like to see another Trek Madone

it's Dan Lloyd's Trek Madone

it looks very similar to this one

but probably doesn't go quite as fast

that is right there.

And if you'd like to see

a Trek Madone

versus one of Treks first ever carbon fibre bikes

click down there check that out.

and hit share while you're at it.

The EMPIRE Look: Tiana's Catsuit | Season 3 | EMPIRE - Duration: 1:51.

[non-english singing]

In episode 304, Tiana preforms the song "Me"

and this was a really different performance for her.

Very theatrical and there was a really amazing opera singer

that is featured on the track.

She enters wearing a black cloak so you don't

see what she has on underneath.

And she pulls that away and she's wearing--

This latex rubber cat suit.

And I'm like, okay.

(SINGING) Say I got the magic touch but--

The outfits are always so intricate for Tiana,

we like to make sure that I'm able to move comfortably

and safely.

(SINGING) Dem boys say every day let me

get a little bit closer but--

The day before we shot, I tried it on.

It fit like a glove.

It literally is like shiny, black latex.

And the only thing about that was like working out

in a trash bag.

I was sweating so bad from here to my ankle.

(SINGING) This time keep yours 'cause I've got mine.

Oh.

I think to pull off an outfit like this

you have to be confident.

That's for sure.

Serayah did it very well.

SERAYAH: Just because the look was so dead on to the song,

it was sick.

(SINGING) Nobody was feeling me.

Serayah!

Yes!

HTC Vive VR Games - snomaN Gaming - Duration: 8:55.

Hey guys, it's snomaN.

So, we got an HTC Vive for Christmas, and guaca-holy cow it's pretty amazing!

So today we're gonna talk about some of our favorite games for it,

but I couldn't do it just myself, so I asked my lovely wife snowomaN to join us

Say hi snowomaN! -Hi guys!

AH, oh I didn't think you were that close.

So in case you have no idea what a Vive is, it's one of the many virtual reality headsets

to hit the market last year, and it requires two sensor boxes on either side of the room,

two controllers to interact with the world, and of course a headset that messes up your

hair and has a BUNCH of chords that hook to your computer, but the result is an unbelievably

fun experience, and just like any other video talking about VR, I gotta say before we get

started: watching the game footage on a 2D screen does not do it justice, you really

need to play it firsthand to see what I'm talking about!

The days of 80's head robots in the arcade are NO MORE!

So I wanted to give you a little primer of some of the games we've been enjoying most

with it so far, and let's begin by talking about a free title called The Lab.

This is actually an assortment of many different games tha- -Woah woah, let's just cut

to the chase here, the rest of them are fine, but they don't really matter, you just need

to play Longbow.

Yeah, it's definitely the best one - this is actually what got us into VR in

the first place.

So it's basically a tower defense game where you shoot these little stick figure

guys with arrows before they break down the door, but the controls feel so responsive,

it's like I'm actually shooting a bow and arrow.

-Yeah and you look like Katniss Everdeen when you play, you get really into it.

-Um correction...I AM Katniss Everdeen. -Oh, okay.

-Obviously it gets harder as more waves of enemies come in, but you can take them

down in creative ways, like exploding barrels, dropping flaming hot tar onto them, or even

lighting your arrows on fire.

And if you lose health, you can gain it back by shooting the balloons that come out of

any guys that you kill.

It's never-ending but I've gotten to wave 43, not to brag or anything - but I'm way better than snomaN.

It's just super satisfying to destroy tons of dudes all in a row like a boss.

-Yeah...sometimes I get a little scared because you're like too good at it-

-Yeah, DON'T MESS WITH ME -Ya know, The Lab reminds me of another

free game I've been playing called Rec Room where you can customize your character and

play various sports games, like dodgeball, paintball and frisbee golf.

But the cool part is that it's 100% online, so you're always battling against other

players.

I mean it even has 3D charades!

How could you not love this!

-Yeah but it's no Longbow -That's the only game you play!

-Yep, so my work here is done. BYE!

-Op, okay bye I guess. (door closes)

Another game that caught my fancy is called Budget Cuts.

Now this is only a demo so far since it's still in development, so the footage here

is a little weird, but this is a unique stealth game that really showed me what the Vive could

be capable of.

You can shoot portals ahead of you to look around and see if there's danger before

teleporting to it, and your goal is to sneak into the complex while avoiding deadly robots

that will kill you on sight.

So you slip through air vents and stock up on knives to covertly take down your opposition.

You can find keys to unlock safes, and turn off security lasers to proceed, but the part

that really took me by surprise was trying to get up into the ceiling tiles, because

in order to fit you have to duck down in real life.

I felt like an actual assassin sneaking my way around a high security facility.

This game is awesome and I can't wait to see what the final product will look like.

Now this next game is quite possibly the most fun I've had with the VR so far.

It's called Knockout League and it's basically Mike Tyson's Punch Out, but YOU'RE Little

Mac juking, blocking and throwing punches in the ring.

Your opponents are a creative cast of characters that amp up the difficulty REAL QUICK.

You gotta look for their telegraphs and respond accordingly, but they're pretty agile and

definitely not pushovers!

In fact, the 2nd boss was about when I realized that this is basically a workout, almost like

I'm doing Zumba class or something.

Every time you duck out of the way you're doing squats baby, those quads will be hurtin' tomorrow!

But it's really engaging and exactly what I was hoping it would be - now its still in

early access and only has 4 rivals so far, but the last boss is basically impossible

so… *heavy breathing* -What happened to you?

-I got beat up by an octopus :(

A couple quick games that are worth mentioning

before we get to our last one here - Zombie Training Simulator came free with my Vive

and it's not only fun to plow through waves of monsters with a bunch of different guns

and explosives, but it also can be pretty frightening despite its cartoonish atmosphere.

They launch a ton of zombies at you, and there's even a hardcore mode where you can play in

the dark...NOPENOPENOPE Some of these games don't require a VR headset,

like Thumper of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, but playing it in virtual reality can certainly

enhance the experience.

Seeing this giant demon head come over the bend is truly terrifying when it covers your

entire sight and looks like its gonna eat your soul

Itch.io is a GREAT website for indie developers who are coming up with some really creative

ideas for VR games - including Draw Your Sword where you literally can create a blade in

any shape and then use that to destroy objects, a 3D version of Snake where 2 snakes chase

your hands simultaneously (it's really hard!), and my personal favorite GORN, which is a

gladiator style combat simulator where you can destroy big buff dudes with medieval weapons

- and it feels a little too good to do so.

AGH I RIPPED OFF HIS ARM!

But the last game I wanted to look at today was probably the most creative and, even though

it's really short and free, it was the most memorable of them all: Accounting.

This game is basically The Stanley Parable combined with Rick and Morty - and that's

probably because it's created by exactly those people!

That's right, Crows Crows Crows helped develop the game, and Justin Roiland voiced many of

the different characters you'll meet along the way.

You start out in a regular office, but when you put on a VR headset IN THE GAME, things

get wacky real quick.

And I think its a game that's best experienced blind, so I won't spoil too much, but just

know it's hilarious, all over the place, and weird but in all the right ways.

Best of all, it has the signature Rick and Morty flair of all the lines feeling like

they were totally improvised on the spot. *clip*

I loved this game, and I hope we'll see more from Justin's new game studio Squanchtendo

in the future.

Overall, virtual reality games are incredibly unique experiences that have to be seen to

be believed.

Unfortunately, the technology is still in its infancy, so we haven't really seen that

one killer app that blows all the rest out of the water, but I think we will in the next

couple years.

A few things holding it back are the required processing power that most people's computers

don't have yet, the chords which are really annoying to get tangled up in, and of course the hefty price tag, but

I think we'll see even more innovation in the coming months, and if any of these games

are an indication of that, I'm all in.

So there you have it, those are some of our favorite Vive games, if you ever get a chance to get your

hands on one, I highly recommend it.

They're still a little expensive right now, but you could just do what we did and get a bunch

of Amazon gift cards for Christmas or a birthday and just spend it on that!

But I hope you enjoyed, as always you can subscribe for more, and I'll see you guys next time.

Stay frosty my friends! -Bye guys!

Court Of Appeals Unanimously Rejects Trump's Travel Ban Full Ruling - Duration: 14:16.

Court Of Appeals Unanimously Rejects Trump's Travel Ban Full Ruling.

by Tyler Durden.

In a decision that will hardly come as a surprise, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has unanimously

(including one GOP appointee) ruled for the U.S. to remain open to refugees and visa holders

from seven Muslim-majority countries while the Trump administration fights to reinstate

a travel ban in the name of national security.

The San Francisco-based appeals court on Thursday denied the governments request to close

the doors after days of public debate over President Donald Trumps attacks on the

judicial system and a rush of fearful immigrants.

The ruling increases the likelihood that the administration will ask the Supreme Court

to step into a case thats the biggest test of Trumps executive power yet.

The government had made a request to reinstate the measure on an emergency basis, which the

judges considered to be unwarranted.

"We hold that the government has not shown a likelihood of success on the merits of its

appeal, nor has it shown that failure to enter a stay would cause irreparable injury, and

we therefore deny its emergency motion for a stay."

The three-judge panel hearing the case included Judges William C. Canby Jr., a Jimmy Carter

appointee; Richard R. Clifton, a George W. Bush appointee; and Michelle T. Friedland,

a Barack Obama appointee.

"Rather than present evidence to explain the need for the Executive Order, the Government

has taken the position that we must not review its decision at all.

We disagree," they wrote.

"In short, although courts owe considerable deference to the President's policy determinations

with respect to immigration and national security, it is beyond question that the federal judiciary

retains the authority to adjudicate constitutional challenges to executive action."

Trump made a brief remark to reporters in the West Wing, calling the ruling a political

decision" and saying national security is at stake, according to NBC News.

The appeals court refused to reinstate Trumps order after a Seattle judge halted enforcement

while courts decide whether its constitutional.

The courts seem to be so political, Trump said in a speech on Wednesday.

Its so sad."

The presidents action initially denied entry to an Iraqi who helped U.S. military,

professors at University of Massachusetts and a student seeking to bring her daughter

for medical treatment.

The ban set off angry protests nationwide and attracted a flurry of lawsuits and adverse

rulings.

None was more sweeping than that of U.S. District Judge James Robart in Seattle.

Washington and Minnesota won the order temporarily blocking the ban nationwide after arguing

it hurt their residents and employers including Microsoft, Amazon.com Inc. and the Mayo Clinic.

* * *

The administration can now ask the Supreme Court to immediately intervene, which most

legal experts think is likely, or wait until a ruling on the preliminary injunction order.

The high court is currently shorthanded with eight justices.

If there is a split decision, the lower courts ruling would be upheld.

As The Hill reports, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) blasted the court Thursday night, saying Trumps

order is plainly legal under the Constitution and our immigration laws and warning that

courts ought not second-guess sensitive national-security decisions of the president.

This misguided ruling is from the Ninth Circuit, the most notoriously left-wing court

in America and the most reversed court at the Supreme Court.

I'm confident the administration's position will ultimately prevail."

Critics of the travel ban came out quickly to cheer the decision: "President Trump ought

to see the handwriting on the wall that his executive order is unconstitutional.

He should abandon this proposal, roll up his sleeves and come up with a real, bipartisan

plan to keep us safe," Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said.

Bernie Sanders added that the court ruling could "teach President Trump a lesson."

"Hopefully, the unanimous court ruling against President Trumps immigration ban will restore

some of the damage he has done to our countrys reputation around the world," the former Democratic

presidential candidate said in a statement minutes after the ruling came down.

Then there was a tweet from the Washington Attorney General who started all of this:

And, of course, Hillary Clinton: to which however there was an apt reaction:

However, it was Trump's tweeted response that made it clear what the next step is: 12 words,

ALL CAPS, and all making it clear that Trump won't let it go without a Supreme Court showdown,

because just moments after the Appeals Court ruling was released, Trump tweeted the following:

SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!

Concurrently, the US Department of Justice has said that it is reviewing the Appeals

Court decision on the Trump travel ban and is "considering its options."

What are next steps?

Do nothing.

Seek an emergency stay Petition for certiorari before judgment, in

the Supreme Court of the United States Based on the Trump tweet, the option the President

will pick is clear: showdown at the Supreme Court.

* * *

Some key excerpts from the ruling.

To rule on the Government's motion, we must consider several factors, including whether

the Government has shown that it is likely to succeed on the merits of its appeal, the

degree of hardship caused by a stay or its denial, and the public interest in granting

or denying a stay.

We assess those factors in light of the limited evidence put forward by both parties at this

very preliminary stage and are mindful that our analysis of the hardships and public interest

in this case involves particularly sensitive and weighty concerns on both sides.

Nevertheless, we hold that the Government has not shown a likelihood of success on the

merits of its appeal, nor has it shown that failure to enter a stay would cause irreparable

injury, and we therefore deny its emergency motion for a stay.

The Opinion starts with Due Process, and rejects the assertion that aliens are not entitled

to due process:

The Government has not shown that the Executive Order provides what due process requires,

such as notice and a hearing prior to restricting an individuals ability to travel.

Indeed, the Government does not contend that the Executive Order provides for such process.

Rather, in addition to the arguments addressed in other parts of this opinion, the Government

argues that most or all of the individuals affected by the Executive Order have no rights

under the Due Process Clause.

Here is the Court saying that Green Card holders have Due Process rights, as do all people

on US soil:

First, we decline to limit the scope of the TRO to lawful permanent residents and the

additional category more recently suggested by the Government, in its reply memorandum,

previously admitted aliens who are temporarily abroad now or who wish to travel and return

to the United States in the future. That limitation on its face omits aliens who are

in the United States unlawfully, and those individuals have due process rights as well.

Zadvydas, 533 U.S. at 693.

That would also omit claims by citizens who have an interest in specific non-citizens

ability to travel to the United States...

There might be persons covered by the TRO who do not have viable due process claims,

but the Governments proposed revision leaves out at least some who do.

Here the Court is dismissive of Trump's DOJ claim that the ban is necessary for security,

adding there is "no evidence" that aliens from the seven countries perpetrated terrorist

attacks:

the Government submitted no evidence to rebut the States argument that the district courts

order merely returned the nation temporarily to the position it has occupied for many previous

years.

The Government has pointed to no evidence that any alien from any of the countries named

in the Order has perpetrated a terrorist attack in the United States.

Rather than present evidence to explain the need for the Executive Order, the Government

has taken the position that we must not review its decision at all.

We disagree.

The court rejecting the argument that a TRO should be narrowed in scope, noting that citizens

may have interests for non-citizen travel:

First, we decline to limit the scope of the TRO to lawful permanent residents and the

additional category more recently suggested by the Government, in its reply memorandum,

previously admitted aliens who are temporarily abroad now or who wish to travel and return

to the United States in the future. That limitation on its face omits aliens who are

in the United States unlawfully, and those individuals have due process rights as well.

Zadvydas, 533 U.S. at 693.

That would also omit claims by citizens who have an interest in specific non-citizens

ability to travel to the United States.

There might be persons covered by the TRO who do not have viable due process claims,

but the Governments proposed revision leaves out at least some who do.

On the government's lack of demonstrated authority that a memo from White House Counsel supersedes

the Exec Order.

The Government has offered no authority establishing that the White House counsel is empowered

to issue an amended order superseding the Executive Order signed by the President and

now challenged by the States, and that proposition seems unlikely.

Nor has the Government established that the White House counsels interpretation of

the Executive Order is binding on all executive branch officials responsible for enforcing

the Executive Order.

The White House counsel is not the President, and he is not known to be in the chain of

command for any of the Executive Departments.

Moreover, in light of the Governments shifting interpretations of the Executive Order, we

cannot say that the current interpretation by White House counsel, even if authoritative

and binding, will persist past the immediate stage of these proceedings.as

The Court faults the government for submitting "no evidence" to justify the change in long-standing

national security policies.

The Government has not shown that a stay is necessary to avoid irreparable injury.

Nken, 556 U.S. at 434.

Although we agree that the Governments interest in combating terrorism is an urgent

objective of the highest order, Holder v. Humanitarian Law Project, 561 U.S. 1, 28

(2010), the Government has done little more than reiterate that fact.

Despite the district courts and our own repeated invitations to explain the urgent

need for the Executive Order to be placed immediately into effect, the Government submitted

no evidence to rebut the States argument that the district courts order merely returned

the nation temporarily to the position it has occupied for many previous years.

The Court ends by emphasizing that it has considered national security, but tips towards

free flow of travel and freedom from discrimination.

Finally, in evaluating the need for a stay, we must consider the public interest generally.

See Nken, 556 U.S. at 434.

Aspects of the public interest favor both sides, as evidenced by the massive attention

this case has garnered at even the most preliminary stages.

On the one hand, the public has a powerful interest in national security and in the ability

of an elected president to enact policies.

And on the other, the public also has an interest in free flow of travel, in avoiding separation

of families, and in freedom from discrimination.

We need not characterize the public interest more definitely than this; when considered

alongside the hardships discussed above, these competing public interests do not justify

a stay.

The punchline and the one sentence that will infuriate Trump, is the following in which

the court says it is "beyond question" that the courts have the authority to oversee the

President.

In short, although courts owe considerable deference to the Presidents policy determinations

with respect to immigration and national security, it is beyond question that the federal judiciary

retains the authority to adjudicate constitutional challenges to executive action.

The fight, however, is far from over.

The court battle so far has focused on whether the presidents order should be paused while

courts weigh larger issues.

Robart already ordered both sides to submit additional arguments focusing on the substance

of the case: whether the states have a right to sue and whether Trumps order discriminates

against Muslims.

Ultimately, the case is likely to end up before the US Supreme Court, although the next three

immediate steps are to 1).

do nothing, 2) seek an emergency stay, or 3) cert before judgment, i.e., petition the

US Supreme Court.

The most likely outcome is

the last one.

'Shocking' scale of Catholic Church sex crimes revealed - Duration: 3:22.

Shocking scale of Catholic Church sex crimes revealed

by EDITOR

More than 1,250 Catholic priests accused of child sex abuse in Australia with few allegations

pursued in cover-up drive.

About seven percent of Catholic priests in Australia were accused of sexually abusing

children between 1950 and 2010, but few allegations were investigated, an inquiry in Sydney has

heard.

The scathing figures, released as hearings began on Monday over the allegations dating

back decades, were compiled with the cooperation of the church as part of the Royal Commission

into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The commission, Australias highest level of inquiry, reported 4,444 alleged incidents

of sexual abuse by Catholic priests between 1980 and 2015.

The inquiry also heard that 1,265 priests and religious brothers and nuns had been accused

during a 60-year period ending 2010.

These numbers are shocking.

They are tragic and they are indefensible, Franklin Sullivan, head of the churchs

Truth, Justice and Healing Council, told the commission in Sydney.

As Catholics, we hang our heads in shame, he added, holding back tears as he described

the massive failure on the part of the Catholic Church in Australia to protect children

from abusers.

As Catholics, we hang our heads in shame FRANCIS SULLIVAN, TRUTH, JUSTICE AND HEALING

COUNCIL

Al Jazeeras Andrew Thomas, reporting from Sydney, said this is the first time overall

figures have been put on the extent of reports of sexual abuse and they are alarming.

The average age of an abused boy was 11 and a half; for girls, it was just 10 and

a half.

Senior counsel, Gail Furness, told the commission that 90 percent of the alleged perpetrators

were male, while the average time between when the alleged abuse occurred and when a

claim was made was 33 years

Furness said the accounts of the experiences of the survivors in numerous hearings were

depressingly similar.

Children were ignored or, worse, punished.

Allegations were not investigated.

Priests and religious [figures]were moved.

The parishes or communities to which they were moved knew nothing of their past.

Documents were not kept or they were destroyed, she said.

Secrecy prevailed, as did cover-ups.

Many children suffered and continue, as adults, to suffer from their experiences in some Catholic

institutions.

CNN Host To Kellyanne Conway: Why Does Trump Lie So Much? - Duration: 7:09.

>>CNN BROKE THEIR BAN ON KELLYANNE CONWAY ON THEIR

AIRWAVES, LET'S SEE HER TALK TO JAKE TAPPER.

YOU WILL SEE HER

TALK ABOUT TRUMP'S DISPROVEN CLAIMS ABOUT THE CRIME RATE IN

THE U.S.

>>I'M TALKING ABOUT THE PRESIDENT SAYING THINGS THAT ARE NOT TRUE,

DEMONSTRABLY NOT TRUE.

THAT IS IMPORTANT AND ARGUABLY MORE

IMPORTANT THAN WHOEVER READS TO YOU AT YOUR DAUGHTER'S PLAY.

>>ARE THEY MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE MANY THINGS HE SAYS THAT ARE

TRUE THAT ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES?

>>THEY DISTRACT FROM THEM, FROM THE THINGS HE SAYS.

>>IF THEY ARE COVERED THEY DO.

I WAS HANDED A FACT SHEET THAT THE

PRESIDENT WAS REFERRING TO WHEN HE TALKED ABOUT THE SHERIFFS,

WHICH WAS AN UNBELIEVABLY PRODUCTIVE, MOVING LISTENING

SESSION I ATTENDED.

>>SAYING THERE WAS A SPIKE IN MURDER RATES BETWEEN 2014 AND

2015 IS TRUE.

AND TO SAY WE NEED TO BRING THAT DOWN AND HAVE LAW

AND ORDER, ALL THAT, FINE.

HE SAID THE HIGHEST MURDER RATE

IN 47 YEARS, AND THE MEDIA DOESN'T REPORT IT. AND AGAIN,

KELLYANNE, THE MEDIA DOESN'T REPORT IT BECAUSE IT'S A LIE.

IT'S NOT TRUE.

>>THANKFULLY, AND I'LL GIVE JAKE TAPPER CREDIT FOR THIS IN

SPECIFIC, IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG FOR THE MEDIA, THEY ARE NOW JUST

SAYING IT'S A LIE.

THIS CRIME RATE THING, HE HAS REPEATEDLY

RETURNED TO.

HE KEEPS SAYING 45 YEARS, 47 YEARS -- IT WAS FALSE

THE FIRST TIME HE SAID IT, IT CONTINUES TO BE FALSE.

AND

KELLYANNE CONWAY, NOT BOTHERED BY THE FACT THAT HE SPREADS

SOMETHING THEY KNOW IS UNTRUE.

>>YOU HAVE TO BE HAPPY WITH JAKE TAPPER HERE, AND HOPEFULLY IT

CATCHES A LITTLE BIT.

PEOPLE CALLING THEM OUT ON IT.

WE WOKE

UP TODAY THINKING CNN WASN'T GOING TO HAVE KELLYANNE CONWAY

BACK ON, THERE WAS TALK OF A BOYCOTT, IT LASTED LIKE AN HOUR.

>>IT COULD BE THAT JAKE TAPPER IS OPERATING INDEPENDENTLY

HAVING HER ON.

>>IT COULD BE, BUT IT'S NOT.

JAKE TAPPER HAS SOME AUTONOMY,

I'M SURE, BUT IF THERE WAS A NETWORK BAN ON SOMEONE, I DON'T

THINK HE WOULD BREAK THAT, OR HE WOULD WANT TO.

HE WOULD WANT

TO BE PART OF MAKING THE POINT.

BUT WHILE SHE WAS SAYING THOSE

THINGS -- AND THESE WEREN'T JUST SAYING A WORD OR BEING WRONG

ABOUT SOMETHING WHEN YOU ARE SPEAKING OFF-THE-CUFF, SAYING A

WORD THAT IS DIFFERENT OR WRONG, THESE ARE FACTS THEY ARE PUTTING

OUT THERE AND THEY ARE USING IT TO PUSH LEGISLATION AND PUBLIC

OPINION.

TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE, AND THAT'S WHAT THE MEDIA WANTS

TO DO, JUST WHAT JAKE TAPPER IS TRYING TO DO.

>>BOTH WITH HER AND SEAN SPICER, THE THING THAT HALF

MAKES ME, I WILL BE HONEST, DESPISE THEM, AND HALF PITY

THEM, THEY HAVE TO KEEP SAYING EFFECTIVELY THE SAME THING.

YOU

WILL HEAR THEM SAY WHAT SHE DID THERE, AND IT'S DISTRACTING FROM

THE GOOD THINGS HE'S DOING TO HELP PEOPLE'S LIVES.

SEAN

SPICER SAYS THAT FIVE TIMES PER PRESS CONFERENCE, WHAT WE SHOULD

BE FOCUSING ON ARE THE THINGS HE'S DOING TO IMPROVE PEOPLE'S

LIVES.

BUT WE AREN'T TALKING ABOUT WHAT YOUR PRIORITIES ARE

AND ALL THAT, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, DO YOU ACCEPT REALITY?

DO

YOU RESPECT AND ACCEPT DEMONSTRABLE FACTS, MEASURABLE

STATISTICS?

AND THEY AREN'T WILLING TO DO THAT.

AND THEY

HAVE TO DEFEND HIS INSANE COMMENTARY BECAUSE THEY DON'T

HAVE CONTROL OVER IT, THEY CAN'T CONTROL WHAT HE SAYS TO A BUNCH

OF RIGHT-WING SHERIFFS.

AND THEY HAVE TO DO DAMAGE CONTROL

FOR A GUY WHO HAS NO RESPECT FOR EITHER THEM OR THE TRUTH.

BUT

SHE IS HELPING TO SPREAD THAT, WHEN CNN WAS TALKING ABOUT THE

BAN THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE SHE HAS NO CREDIBILITY.

AND WHAT LITTLE SHE MAY HAVE HAD IS LOST IN THESE VIDEOS

WITH JAKE TAPPER.

>>MAYBE BRING HER IN ONE LAST TIME TO SAY GOODBYE, GOODBYE

KELLYANNE, BUT NO, TO GET HER ON THE RECORD AS NOT HAVING

CREDIBILITY.

WHY DON'T YOU HAVE ANY?

AT LEAST TO GIVE HER ONE

LAST CHANCE BEFORE BANNING HER.

>>ONE WAY YOU COULD HAVE DONE THAT -- HE STUCK IT TO HER ON

CRIME LEVELS, SHE TRIED TO DISTRACT -- I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE

HIM ASK HER, CAN YOU PLEASE STATE THAT CRIME IS NOT AT A 45

YEAR HIGH?

CAN YOU SIMPLY STATE A FACT?

YOU CAN'T CONTROL WHAT

TRUMP SAYS, BUT YOU ARE A HUMAN WITH FREE WILL AND AUTONOMY, CAN

YOU ACCEPT WHAT IS DEMONSTRABLY TRUE?

I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE WOULD DO.

>>YOU WOULDN'T TAKE THAT BAIT.

IT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE BAIT.

>>IT SHOULDN'T BE, IT'S REALITY.

ARE YOU STANDING ON EARTH, ARE

YOU AFFECTED BY GRAVITY?

CAN YOU STATE A FACT?

AND I DON'T KNOW

AT THIS POINT, I'VE BEEN TWEETING ABOUT THIS, I DON'T

KNOW WHAT THE JUSTIFICATION IS FOR HAVING HER ON YOUR PROGRAM

ASIDE FROM THE FACT THAT SHE IS A FACE ASSOCIATED WITH DONALD

TRUMP THAT MAKES IT SEEM AS IF YOU ARE BEING FAIR BY SHOWING

BOTH THE OPPONENTS AND THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT HIM.

BUT

SOMEONE IN HER POSITION IS BROUGHT ON TRADITIONALLY BECAUSE

THEY CAN SPEAK FOR THE PRESIDENT, THEY HAVE HIS EAR,

THEY UNDERSTAND HOW HE OPERATES, BUT SHE SAYS THINGS THAT ARE

DIRECTLY CONTRADICTED BY DONALD TRUMP LATER IN THE DAY, SHE

DOESN'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND WHY HE OPERATES THE WAY HE DOES, AND

SHE SAYS THINGS THAT ARE DEMONSTRABLY UNTRUE.

WHAT IS THE

JUSTIFICATION FOR CONTINUING TO HAVE HER ON, ASIDE FROM THE

ENTERTAINMENT VALUE OF JAKE TAPPER BATTING HER AROUND THE

STUDIO FOR A WHILE?

>>IN FAIRNESS SHE HANDED HERSELF ALL RIGHT RHETORICALLY, BETTER

THAN I'VE SEEN HER OTHER PLACES.

BUT I KNOW WHY YOU BRING HER

ON.

WHEN I HEARD CNN WAS DOING THAT, GREAT.

THE MEDIA SHOULD

SHUT DOWN PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO DECEIVE AND NOT TELL THE

TRUTH ABOUT THINGS.

THAT'S NOT THE SAME AS SHUTTING DOWN

SOMEONE WHO IS TRYING TO PAINT A ROSIER PICTURE, BECAUSE EACH

SIDE WILL DO THAT ALL THE TIME, ALL 20 SIDES OF EVERY STORY DO

THAT.

BUT THIS IS ACTUALLY PUTTING OUT LIES AND

MISINFORMATION -- DON'T HAVE THEM ON.

THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION.

MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE SOME BOOKER ON THE FOURTH FLOOR SAID I GOT

KELLYANNE.

THAT DOES HAPPEN.

BUT DON'T TRY AND GET HER, WE DON'T WANT HER ON TV.

>>I LIKED WHEN THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT HER CREDIBILITY ISSUES AND

SHE SAID ON TWITTER, I WAS TOTALLY INVITED -- CNN'S TWITTER

SAID SHE WAS OFFERED AND WE DENIED, BUT THEN MIKA

BREZINSKI RESPONDED BY SAYING YOU WEREN'T THE FIRST

TO REJECT

HER.

MY SLEEP SCHEDULE IN MED SCHOOL(surgery rotation) + How I Study For Anatomy | Med School Vlog - Duration: 9:53.

It's about 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

Brownie + Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait Recipe | Valentines Day Recipe - Duration: 4:24.

Layers of fudgy chocolate brownies, homemade strawberry syrup, and cheesecake filling.

These parfaits are the perfect easy make ahead dessert.

Start with the strawberries as these are going to need bit of time to sit.

Remove the tops and cut them into quarters.

You'll need a punnet, about 250g or around half a pound.

If strawberries aren't in season where you live you can substitute these with frozen,

just give them time to come up to room temperature before you use them.

You could also use another type of fruit, a berry medley of raspberries, blueberries,

and strawberries would work really well.

If you would like the full recipe for these cheesecake parfaits it will be on my website

as well as the full measurements listed in the information box below.

Place the the strawberries into a small bowl and sprinkle over a few tablespoons of granulated

sugar.

Use a spoon to toss the strawberries in the sugar until they are all evenly coated.

This process is called macerating.

The sugar draws out the natural juices from the fruit, creating a type of sweet strawberry

syrup that works perfectly with many desserts.

Leave the strawberries for about 30 minutes for this process to take place or until you

are ready to make the parfaits, overnight is fine.

While you're waiting on the strawberries get started on the cheesecake filling.

I'm keeping this part quite plain as there is already so much flavour from the strawberries

and brownies.

In a small bowl add the room temperature cream cheese.

Just remove it from the fridge an hour or so before you need to use it.

Use a spatula to give it a mix to soften.

To the cream cheese add a couple of tablespoons of icing sugar or powdered sugar to sweeten

it up.

I don't like adding to much sugar as the strawberries are already super sweet.

A few tablespoons is about the perfect amount.

Fold the sugar into the cream cheese until it is well combined and smooth.

Switch to using a whisk and pour in 3/4 of a cup of heavy whipping cream into the bowl

with the cream cheese.

Use the whisk to beat the ingredients together until the mixture starts to thicken.

This should take less than a minute.

You want it to be the consistency of softly whipped cream.

I like to add the cream this way before it has been whipped as you have more control

over the consistency of the cheesecake filling.

The more you whisk it the thicker the mixture will get.

Leave the cheesecake filling in the fridge until you are ready to make the parfaits.

When you are ready to assemble the parfaits start with the brownie base.

I'm using brownies that I baked a few days before - you can get the recipe below or on

my website.

Take a few pieces, I like to use the edges as these are super chewy and cut them into

bit sized pieces.

Place the brownies into the bottom of a couple of glasses.

This recipe is enough to make 2 but if you do want to make more just double the recipe.

If you don't have brownies you can use store bought or any other kind of cake like baked

goods.

Top the brownies with some of the macerated strawberries.

The syrup from the strawberries will sink into the brownies making them super sweet

and fudgy.

Lastly top with the cheesecake filling.

You can serve these straight away or leave them in the fridge for a few hours.

Let me know if you give them a try, I hope you enjoyed this recipe and I will see you

in my next video.

Bye.
