Welcome back everybody!
Whenever we talk about hair care products in the recent weeks,
it's been about building a good foundation for a healthy hair.
Well, we're gonna take it to the next level today.
What do we do after getting healthy hair?
We're gonna show it, we're gonna style it.
So this week, we're gonna be talking about Shiseido Professional Stage Works!
Now, you might be familiar with Shiseido Professional Hair Care Series.
You know the usual favourites like
Aqua Intensive, Sleekliner, Fuente Forte.
Well, this is the styling line from that series.
We call it Stage Works.
And we will talk about the concept behind Stage Works,
and find out if we really need to go through all the steps suggested by the products.
Before we begin, we would like to welcome our new viewers!
Thank you for watching!
As you can probably tell, this is what we do every week.
We take some Japanese products, share them with you,
So that you can decide for yourself whether these products are for you.
Very often, it's not about finding the best product,
but finding the best product meant for you!
So please subscribe to the channel
if you are interested in learning about Japanese products!
We mentioned about the concept behind Stage Works,
which has a beginning, middle, and an end.
We mentioned about the concept behind Stage Works,
which has the three steps "Pre-", "Base-" and "Finish-" hairstyling.
Each stage has a role to play.
But don't get intimidated.
Stage Works doesn't need to work with other Stage Works products,
which means you can pick and choose what you need to use.
So when we explore the products,
you don't need to worry about
whether the products what other products.
Just pick out what is useful for you.
So let's start with first step, "Pre-hairstyling".
The term doesn't sound familiar,
but the concept is to lift the quality of our hair,
to be ready for styling.
If you ever applied wax or mousse
but your hair didn't set the way you wanted,
then you'd have an idea what it means
that it is related to the quality of the hair.
The following products will address that problem.
The Shiseido Professional Stage Works Smoothing Primer
is a hair oil for people whose hair is hard to control.
The Moisturising Primer is an emulsion
for anyone whose hair feels really dry.
The Bouncing Primer is a lotion that gives bounce to the hair,
especially for anyone with short hair.
These pre-hairstyling products are used for towel-dried or dry hair.
If you have normal hair quality,
it is possible to skip this step too.
Annnd, to be honest, the bottles may look the same here on screen,
so be sure to know the differences between the bottles when you search for them!
Once our hair quality is in good shape,
the styling part comes in: the "Base-hairstyling"!
Now, there are numerous products,
so we'll just introduce a few products here.
The SHISEIDO Professional Stage Works Gelee Shake
has a viscosity that assists in creating the locks required for webbed hair.
It is formulated with honey as a moisture retaining ingredient,
which both cares for the hair and styles it.
This item is recommended for dry hair.
To use it, shake until the gel turns misty,
then apply on dry hair.
Spread it into the hair to start styling.
The SHISEIDO Professional Stage Works Powder Shake
is best described as a hair wax that doesn't leave any stickiness!
This is recommended for anyone whose hair is usually flat-topped,
because the Powder Shake gives the hair volume and styling versatility.
Same as the Gelee (ジュレ) Shake, shake, apply on dry hair, and style.
The SHISEIDO Professional Stage Works Fluffy Curl
is suited towards permed styles.
Not only does it provide the feminine finish,
but it also protects the hair from heat damage
that may come from hair irons.
To use this, you'll want to apply to the insides of the dry hair
that you would like to curl.
The SHISEIDO Professional Stage Works Silky Mist, on the other hand,
is catered towards straight hairstyles.
You'd want to use this before using a hair straightener
for a supple looking finish.
All you need is to apply this onto dry hair.
Probably the best thing about these products
is that they help us achieve natural looking hair,
and we don't feel that we are using any hair styling products!
"Finish-hairstyling" is the final step in the Stage Works process,
which consists of hair sprays to set the styled hair in place.
There is the Super Hard Spray which is strong enough
to hold the hair style for the whole day,
but it also means it'll be difficult to restyle after using this.
Compared to the Super Hard Spray,
Hard Spray has a softer finish and allows restyling.
This is recommended for soft hair texture, and hair of medium length.
The Luster Spray is a spray for luster in the hair.
It also keeps the hair light,
and flexible to the fingers for style maintenance.
This is recommended for styles for straight hair.
So as you can see,
the "3 Steps" in Stage Works is an easy concept to grasp.
Your hair type and quality is going to decide which product you are going to use.
