Youtube daily report Sep 4 2017

So we had Kirk's spot making some vegan dinner. What is this right here?

quinoa salad

That looks pretty good. We got some lettuce. It looks like right here. It's all vegan by the way, so

Me and Kirk we're going with the vegan diet and

It's been pretty good thus far yeah, like I cheated a couple times

honestly, I had some turkey a

Little bit ago, so I'm sorry for that, but overall it's been good

What I'm saying is I don't want to come off as you know trying to introduce people to

Blazian Barzz as

I'm not sure if we're inviting them to that movement

Or we're just inviting them to a calisthenic movement because I don't want to turn anyone away from the calisthenic movement

That's something that I guess we

need to

Collaborate on and kind of figure out do we invite them to that or.. we're inviting them to us and what we do

is calisthenics, right?

Exactly so we leave it we leave it at that calisthenics

We don't leave we don't bring them in - okay here you guys are part of the you can be part of this

Blazian Barzz crew or whatever like that?

I did didn't I? know I didn't have that I didn't have. I did? I ate it?

I did that and then today I had some turkey

I'm trying I'm trying

For for 25 years it's all It's just been straight up meat so

But I'm working I'm working towards that complete veganism

those vegan vegan burgers?

That's what Blazian Barzz is. It has nothing to do

It's like like like we're talking about before it has nothing to do with

Like being Chris Heria and THENX and being able to be like alright

This is how you do this and this and this and that and this right like that's not what we're doing what we're doing is

Showing you guys who we truly are right where we are right now, right?

But where we aspire to be and hopefully what we're doing with

With this channel and with our lifestyle is inspiring you to get to

Where you want to be no matter what your passion is in life

That's not too much weight though not yet

Basically, I'm wanna live long whatever

Necessary whatever steps it takes to live long. That's what I want to do I

Want to be able to come out to this park

Play with my kids run around

Jump around the bottom line the simple truth to the reason why I'm vegan is it just didn't feel right eating meat anymore

That's the truth

It just didn't feel right I care about the environment. I care about about the earth

I care about the animals. It just didn't feel right to me

What we know thus far is that we got this one life, and that's that's where it ends you know what I mean

That's what we know so

You got to make sure to do what you can with in this life

and that's what Blazian Barzz is about it's about doing what you can and

Doing all that you can

To leave that legacy and hopefully inspire

Hopefully you know with us it's millions of people to

achieve a life of

satisfaction of you know just

Happiness and fulfillment, so that's what we are. That's what we do

And that's why we out

Top 5 Wrist Pain Relief Tips - Ask Doctor Jo - Duration: 8:41.

Hey everybody it's Doctor Jo, and today I'm going to show you the five best ways

to relieve wrist pain. So let's get started.

Number one, wrist flexor and extensor stretches. For stretching your

wrist extensors and your wrist flexors, put your arms straight out in front of

you, to do your flexors the ones underneath, bring your hand up into a

stop sign position. If this is too much, you can curl your fingers down, it won't

be quite as much of a stretch, but if you want a little more stretch, put your

fingers straight up and then you can put a little over pressure up on top, and you

should feel that stretch underneath there. Hold that stretch for about 30

seconds and then change direction, so you're going to come down this way and

stretch going downwards. You'll get that stretch up on top. If you

want a little bit more of a stretch, curl in your fingers and then give a little

over pressure and you'll feel that stretch right on top there, so same thing,

you want to hold it for about 30 seconds, and then you're going to go back and

forth until you get three going each way. Number two, Far infrared heat. Whoa! Far

infrared heating, so a great thing about far infrared heat is that the far

infrared penetrates much deeper, so it just it doesn't just go to the surface

of your skin like a normal heating pad that only goes

about 0.25 centimeters, far infrared goes up to six centimeters, so it really gets

down into the muscles and that's about two point three six inches, so you can

see that if it's on your wrist it will go all the way through, and the other

great thing about the far-infrared is it's light heat, it's not just heat heat,

so it doesn't dry out your skin, it doesn't dry out that area, it doesn't

dehydrate area, and it really helps increase all that circulation. So the

folks at Thermotex partnered up with us, and sent us their Thermotex

platinum. This one's really cool because the platinum is nice and big and

versatile and it allows you to use it almost anywhere, and so it's really great

because you can use it on your wrist, you can use it on your arm,

shoulders, knees, and everything like that, so it's really cool. This one you can see

here has three different plates and so that makes it so it can mold around

everything really nicely. When you're having wrist pain in general, getting

some heat on it to reduce that inflammation, increase the circulation of

the area, really really helps out and it works for anything up to arthritis,

muscle spasms, just achy pains, if you have a sprained wrist or strained wrist,

you can use this as well, just make sure you don't use it in that first 24 to 48

hours, that's usually when you wanna do ice, and then you can do the heating

after that, but what's really nice is you can just place your hand all the way up

to your elbow in there, and just come around kind of squeeze it together and

then strap it in. So you can see here it's really loose you don't have to have

it very tight because of how far it goes it really is going to get that whole

area. If you want to do it tighter just for comfort or if you're going to be

moving around a little bit, you can, but you don't have to, it can be nice and

loose, and so if you're interested in finding out more about the platinum you

can check out my full review of the platinum by clicking the box up on the

right top corner, and you can also check out the link down below in the

description. If you're looking for something specifically for your wrist,

they also have a wrist one and this is really cool too because you can put it

directly around almost it looks almost like a brace, but it's not a brace, it's

the nice heating system, and so they do come and right and left this one's a

right, but you can actually use it for both sides, and I'll show you how to do

it both ways, and then I'll show you the left one as well, but the plate is

underneath here. So on your right side, you'd kind of place it here where this

strap is going to go above your thumb to kind of hook it in right there, so what I

like to do first is sometimes I just kind of get the velcro on it, again it

doesn't have to be very tight but once you get it in place if you don't have

somebody to help you out, then you can do it a little bit tighter if you want to.

So you can do that way and then tighten that up and

come down like that, so you can see that this covers that whole area and again

since it goes 2.36 inches, that's pretty much all the way through,

so even if it was something on top, you could still have it on the bottom and

that would be fine, but you can also let's say maybe both

sides were bothering me so if I go to my left side, I just turn

it over because again it goes so far it doesn't really have to be on the top or

the bottom. So again you just kind of get it on so it holds it in place, and then

strap that top one down and then you can kind of readjust these how you want to,

and then the plates on the top going down but it still could get either side,

so I really like that as well, and let me show you really quickly the left one

which is very similar except as you can see here, then the thumb spot goes on the

left side right there, so that works really nicely where you can just have,

whoa, those on and then tightening them up if you want to, but again you don't

have to, but if you want to move around just a little bit then you can tighten

it up just a little bit more so these really cool, the platinum very awesome, if

you're interested in learning more about the product you can go to Thermotex.com.

If you're interested in purchasing the product you can go down to the link in

the description. Number three, wrist flexion and extension. For wrist

flexion and extension, if you want to prop up your hand on something like a

table a countertop, you can just, make sure this about this much is hanging off.

If your arm itself is not really bothering you, you can just hold it with

your hand this way or you can just hold it in the air, but make a fist with your

hand and this one's just going to be some active movement now, so you're just

going to go down and then come back up. So you don't really have to pause for

too long, it's a little bit of a stretch, but it's more

of a movement just to get everything moving in there, so I would do about ten

each way just nice and gentle back and forth. Number four, supination and

pronation. For wrists supination and pronation, keep your elbow by your side.

If you do it far out you'll end up moving your shoulder as well, and you're

not really going to get that supination and pronation movement, so keep that

elbow bent kind of close to your side. You can keep your hand open or you can

close it, I like keeping it open and then just turn over as far as you can and

then come back this way, so same thing where you're just doing a smooth

controlled movement little push each way, but not really a stretch more of just

getting that motion in there to kind of loosen everything up, so same thing I

just do about 10 each way. Number five, radial deviation and ulnar deviation. For

radial and ulnar deviation, you're going to turn your fist upwards, now so the

thumbs kind of going up top, same thing if you want to prop it up on a table or

a counter top you can, if you want to hold your elbow with your hand you can,

or if it's feeling pretty good you can just hold it right here, then you're just

going to go up into a radial deviation and down into ulnar deviation, and a lot

of times people feel a little stretch through the top of their thumb right

there when they're going down that way. So same thing again just doing that nice

smooth motion you can do a little pause at the end if you want to to get a

little bit of a stretch, but just doing about ten each way, so getting those nice

stretches in there. Whew! So there you have it, those are your top five ways to

relieve wrist pain. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments section, if

LIZA KOSHY - Before They Were Famous - YouTuber Biography - Duration: 8:17.

BEFORE Liza Koshy blew up on youtube, with over a billion lifetime views and over 11

million subscribers at the time of this recording, earning a diamond play button in July of 2017

Before earning 13.6 million followers on Instagram, and spinning off a second channel, Liza Koshy

Too, which is also gaining a massive following, with over 4.6 million subs (at the time of

this recording)

Before she took home the 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Female web star, or started

dating shorty award winning vlogger, David Dobrik

Before she was dubbed the queen of puns

Like many of the fastest growing youtubers of 2016 and 17, Liza started out on Vine.

She got into the app while she was in high school, and quickly amassed a following of

over 5 million.

As Vine began to die a slow death, Liza would expand her social media portfolio to include

instagram, musically, and of course, youtube.

From there she would not only create one of the fastest growing channels on the platform,

she would also break into mainstream media, with representation from the world class talent

agency, CAA, and work in television and film.

What's wiggidy, wiggidy up?

My name's Michael McCrudden, documenting the life and career of YouTube star Liza Koshy,

here for you on Before They Were Famous.

We've covered other vine stars turned youtuber like Thomas Sanders, Brittany Furlan, and

Jake and Logan Paul.

But you guys gotta let me know who to document next!

So hit me up in the comments section, or on twitter or instagram.

Okay, Let's DO THIS!!!!

Elizabeth Shaila Koshy was born on March 31st, 1996, and grew up in Houston Texas, along

with her two older sisters.

Liza is of mixed ethnicity, having a white mother and an indian father.

She was raised Christian, and frequently attends Lakewood Church, a non-denominational megachurch

in Houston, which packs in crowds of over 50,000 people every week.

Liza was placed in a dual-language program from kindergaden until fifth grade, and as

a result, speaks fluent Spanish.

Also, English.

Liza attended Lamar High School, and while there, she developed a passion for dance.

Liza was in high school when Vine first launched in June of 2012.

Her friends were downloading the app, so Liza decided to jump in on the trend, taking the

username Lizzza (with three Zs).

Here is her first vine ever:

Liza continued to post regularly, building up a massive following with her goofy comedy

chops.

By the end of her career on vine, Liza would amass over 5 million subscribers on the platform,

making her one of the biggest creators on the platform.

In the meantime, she graduated high school, and moved on to college, studying Business

Marketing at the University of Houston beginning in September of 2014.

After her freshman year, she said she still didn't know what she ultimately wanted to

do with her life.

But she was obviously learning something, as in 2015, she began to parley her success

on Vine onto other platforms.

She had a million followers on Instagram by January of 2016.

Just over a year and a half later, she'd be quickly approaching 14 million.

While Liza had had a youtube channel since September of 2013, she began uploading videos

on July 8th, 2015.

And unlike most viners, she wouldn't start her youtube channel up with a best vines compilation.

Instead, she would cater to the platform, with a proper introduction to herself and

what she plans to do on youtube.

It wouldn't be long before Liza's vine fans would begin discovering her on the new platform.

New fans would also fall in love with her and her characters, like Jet Packinski, Helga,

and Carlos.

In November of 2015, she started dated another online star, David Dobrik, and the two would

collab on numerous videos

By the fall of 2016, Liza had already established herself as a successful youtuber, having accumulated

over 4 million subscribers.

Life was good.

Then, disaster struck.

After a long struggle, Vine was Dead.

On October 27, 2016, Twitter announced it would disable uploads on Vine, though viewing

and downloading would continue to work.

With her native platform gone, Liza doubled down on her youtubing.

She launched her second channel, Liza Koshy Too, with this video, dropped on September

9th, 2016.

Also in 2016, Liza made her television debut in the show Freakish.

The same year, she made it to big screen, appearing as Aday Walker in Boo!

A Madea Halloween.

Liza was named Breakout Creator at the 2016 Streamy Awards.

As her massive success continued, she dropped her most popular video yet on December 28th,

2016, Dollar Store with Liza Part 2.

In 2017, Liza was nominated for Favorite Social Media Star at the 2017 People's Choice Awards,

youtuber of the year at the 2017 Shorty Awards, and three other awards at the 2017 Teen Choice

Awards.

She also took home the award for Choice Female Web Star.

At the time of this recording, Liza has gained over 4.6 million subs on her second channel,

and over 11 million on her main channel, having gained an earth shattering 7.5 million subs

in the last year.

After college, Liza plans on moving out to LA, as her career as an actress and social

media star continues to blossom.

As for the rest of the story, well, we'll have to wait and see.

This is Before They Were Famous.

My name's Michael McCrudden.

Thanks for watching this video.

Let me know who you want me to document next and check out one of these other videos.

I picked them out just for you.

New You Tuber Tag! - Duration: 12:44.

hey guys it's Danielle with Danielle Minnesota vlogs and I am so excited that

Erin Williams tagged me in the new youtuber tag so there are 15 questions

that I am going to go through and I'm gonna talk about Erin Williams a little

bit later but I will link her channel in her tag down below she's amazing I think

she's actually like literally in labor as I'm filming this or has her third

baby in her arm so check her out for sure she's great these are 15 questions

I feel like some of my answers overlap so if that's the case I'm gonna try to

breathe through them so as to not be as repetitive as possible so without

further ado let's get right in it question number one what is my name

Danielle number two where am i from Minnesota you can ascertain both those

things for my chimney channel named Danielle Minnesota vlogs and maybe the

ladder by my accent let me know below if you think I have a Minnesota accent I'm

actually surprised I haven't gotten that yet I went to school in California and

lost most of it but I've been back for 15 years and I think it's back how tall

am I five four I'm changing this next question - do you have children and how

many we have one child James Walter is 4 he'll be 5 this fall is this my first

channel it is what is my channel about to be perfectly transparent I'm still

figuring out where I land in this YouTube space I am a businesswoman I

think being a working mom with the YouTube channel kind of sets me apart so

I hope to be a voice for the working mom I hope to not that I have all the

answers but to be a source of camaraderie for other working moms

trying to figure out the right balance and as a viewer I love stay-at-home mom

channels of my channels they follow our

homeschooling moms and I just love looking through a window of a different

lifestyle than my own so I hope to be that window to stay-at-home moms - I

think it's really cool to see you know how different we are and how different

people live I really like green products I try to not waste a lot so I touch on

that in my channel minimalism means different things to different people but

I I consider myself to dabble in minimalism I like to keep things clutter

free as much as possible I have struggled on and off with anxiety and

depression and I like to talk about that on my channel to normalize it when I was

in the thick of it I thought I was defective and not normal and alone and

weird and I now know that's not the case it's so normal and so common and not

everyone likes to speak about it and all power to you what you want to do but I I

like to talk about it to normalize it and hopefully I can help even one person

feel not alone

let's see I like to organize so you know who doesn't love a good organization

video I love to cook and I did some cooking videos when I started my channel

and no one watched but I'm gonna start doing them again because I passionate

about cooking and I'm not gonna worry as much anymore about the analytics so

again I'm trying to find my niche in this space but what I just spoke on her

I would say the main themes of my channel thus far why should anyone

subscribe to my channel again I think the working mom thing kind of sets me

apart I guess I think I am a real person and I have interesting point of views

and yeah if you like this I'd hope you subscribe and if you don't I don't think

my channel is for everyone and that's totally fine I don't think I did a good

job on selling myself but okay I love this question because it's

really hard for me where do I see myself in five years and where do I see my

channel in five years I am such a planner I should have mentioned that in

what my channel is about I have a paper planner I play in my days by the hour

I played my weeks I played my mom's if I don't have a plan I'm so stressed I'm

very type A but I don't really make long-term plans and goals which is so

foolish it should be that should be really important so this is hard for me

in five years let's see we have one child and we might be done having

children and we might be a one-child household but I do think in five years

we'd probably have another if that's what we decide and God willing I've had

a chemical pregnancy before I know it's not everyone can have children if they

want them biologically so I think we'll have another kid though and I'm excited

about that I hope our house is done being renovated

or maybe we'll have even moved on to something else I'm gonna get judged for

this but it came to my head so I'm gonna say it I hope I'm skinnier in five years

that might make me an awful person but I do it's been five years since I gave

birth and I'm still trying to lose the baby weight I know that's terrible but

in all seriousness I hope that we're happy I hope that we're healthy I hope

that were living life moment by moment and enjoying it and can't ask for much

more than that for a family right I was just talking for a good five minutes and

realized it was not recording so I think where it left off is where do I see my

youtube channel in five years and I have no idea I don't have long or short term

goals for this channel I started it because it was scary I think we should

do things that are scary every so often and I've been overdue for that I've

always wanted to make a channel but I let my

cuties get the best of me so I just did it and just to stretch myself I'm very

shy and introverted I am reserved and so it's kind of like a an exercise to you

know I just I'm not explaining this well I think we should do things that make us

uncomfortable every once in a while in order to grow it's a self growth

exercise and then a side note that I didn't really expect is all the great

friends that I've made and connected with yeah that's been amazing it's such

a nice community so I hope that doesn't make me sound I'm committed to my

channel I've been pumping out three videos a week since I started in the

spring I think two or the weeks I did two videos but I'm committed I just

don't have like these grand goals of making money or quitting my job if that

were to happen organically that would be amazing

but I'm just focused on stretching myself connecting with others and maybe

in a few months all sit down and and redraft some goals what inspired me to

start my channel I just answered that who are some of my favorite youtubers

I'm gonna copy aaron and talk about smaller channels and then larger

channels so first i'll tell you about my youtube friends to me that means smaller

channels i'm subscribed to them they're subscribed to me

aaron williams of course she is a fellow working mom so I feel like that really

distinguishes her Vanessa and family happily ever minimal Jillian Starling

Johanna L Newman I think I was her third subscriber and she has about 800 now so

I saw something and I knew it my mom a wife life I owe you an email or a text

Antoinette I'm sorry we're trying to meet in person when I'm in California

next month which is so cool but I don't think it's gonna work with my timeline

Jessica tall the kitchen wife simple and delicious I hope I didn't

miss anyone if I mentioned you as your viewer I would love to hear your answers

to these questions so consider yourself tagged bigger channels so if there was

one channel that inspired me it would be hands down how Jen does it she's my

favorite youtuber I've learned so much from her about like cleaning routines

and organization and I've become such a cleaner person since I found her I think

that's the awesome thing about YouTube that's where beauty

what's up moms do it on a dime and then to mid-size channels about 50k

subscribers who've really influenced me are the mommy archives and naturally

thrifty mama they're both lifestyle mom channels and

they kind of focus on minimalism and green products which I'm pretty

passionate about I hope I'm still recording okay that's

what I'm looking at if I keep looking what does my username mean it's my name

my state vlogs I like I said I'm not really sure what my niche is yet so I

wanted something generic I wasn't comfortable using my last name I'm very

proud to be a Minnesotan so I don't know if it was the best choice but I think

it's pretty generic the best thing about YouTube by far has been connecting with

others and stretching myself as a viewer like I said with how Jen does it I've

just learned so much there's such a plethora of information on YouTube I

think it's an amazing platform I started to really get into it when I was

pregnant I wanted a cloth diaper and that takes a lot of research I learned

how to swaddle a baby breastfeeding tips there's just so many things to learn I

think not my day with recording I keep it

keeps stopping but anyways there's just so many things to learn on YouTube I

think it's amazing okay I think I'm on the worst thing as a new channel you

know I've had weeks where people have seem to like my videos I've connected

with others getting subscribers and then I'm like well if they like this video

they're gonna like this video for next week and I work really hard and then

nobody watches and then people unsubscribe so it's just kind of up and

down I'm too small to get the hate stuff but I will say I've gotten some thumbs

down you know you can like a video or dislike it and it honestly doesn't bug

me like not everyone's gonna like my video and if they want to poke you let

me know that's that's fine but I got when I first talked about my struggles

with anxiety and depression like that was like hard and a big deal for me to

share and someone gave me a thumbs down it wasn't hurt I guess I was just

annoyed like what are you doing who are you so that's the only bad things so far

which in the scheme of things is fine

okay my goals on YouTube I already mentioned and then we're at the last

question which is good because I'm having such trouble with technology

today any advice for youtubers for new

youtubers my answer would be no because I do not have the answers I'm new myself

if you have advice for me please comment below so that's everything I hope you

check out the channels that I mentioned especially the smaller ones and I hope

that some of you do this tag as well if you enjoy this please give it a thumbs

up thumbs down if you want please subscribe and I hope to see you next

time bye guys

Shadowrun Returns Review | Cyberpunk Isometric Turn-Based RPG - Duration: 11:08.

Good mornin-afternoo-vening, dear Nonsensiac chummers and welcome to Shadowrun September!

I'll be dedicating this entire month to playing and reviewing the Harebrained Schemes

Shadowrun loose trilogy of games as well as maybe some other cyberpunky stuff.

I decided to do this because a recent poll from Larian Studios - the people behind the

Divinity series - brought to light some interesting facts in terms of RPG gamers and their various

preferences relating to the genre.

The survey itself is well-done and quite informative so I suggest everyone interested in the subject

track it down, but there was one question in particular the results of which were brought

to my attention by my friends from GamingHD namely: Which of these Traditional RPGs have

you played and how do you feel about them?

To both my and their shock, we noticed that a worrying number of respondents have never

played the first two Fallout games, and that an even greater number haven't played Wasteland

2, Shadowrun: Hong Kong nor South Park: The Stick of Truth.

And while the reasons behind this lack of computer RPG gaming culture may vary - I'm

not going to discuss those, instead I'll do what I do best and talk about games.

In this case, I'll talk about the games that a lot of RPG players have obviously not

played yet, and I believe they should.

My friends over at GamingHD will be doing the same.

While they will be talking this september about the Fallout series - and I suggest you

head on over to their channel to check those out after watching this video - I will be

dedicating the month to what I call Shadowrun September.

During which I'll be taking you all through the three Shadowrun-themed games from Harebrained

Schemes, starting today with...Shadowrun Returns.

The first in a series of recent-ish video games based on one of the most popular tabletop

RPGs since Dungeons and Dragons that isn't actually related to DnD by neither theme nor

system - the game is called Shadowrun.

A turn-based tabletop RPG set in a cyberpunk dystopian near-future in which magic suddenly

appears and brings with it a whole other realm of problems and possibilities.

This means that Shadowrun Returns, is a turn-based tactical computer RPG, which also counts itself

amongst the more successful video game Kickstarter projects to date.

It was developed by Harebrained Schemes in 2013, an indie game development company founded

by none other than the creator of the original tabletop game, which can only make hardcore

RPG players such as myself happy, because we could be sure that the video game version

would stay as true to the spirit of the pen and paper original as possible.

Built in Unity - and it could be said that Shadowrun Returns was also something of a

pioneer in terms of making RPGs in Unity - the game features very well illustrated backgrounds

and environments, which aren't necessarily realistic from a perspective and proportion

point of view, but they do a great job at creating the atmosphere of grime and dystopian

depression appropriate for the game's setting.

Shadowrun's Setting

Shadowrun's Earth is one in which very suddenly and unexpectedly, magic appears into a world

much like our own, as the result of an event called The Awakening.

After this event the world and the people change, mythical creatures such as dragons

appear, metahuman races like orcs, trolls and elves, morph from within humanity and

the spirit realm becomes a very palpable and dangerous place.

As such, the player finds him or herself in an alternate near-future world in which they

can replace parts of their body with various cybernetic implants, they can connect their

brain straight into the Matrix - no, not THAT Matrix - can control drones remotely, which

to be honest isn't that futuristic of an idea now, or they can discover dormant magic

talents or perhaps maybe some shamanistic affinities.

Shadowrun Return's story

The campaign that ships with the game, although linear, is a bonafide murder mystery where

the player has to track down a Jack the Ripper-style serial killer.

The world of Shadowrun Returns is populated with interesting and very colorful characters

- even though they are pretty much archetypes or stereotypes, in line with the pulpy vibe

of the story.

There are also several secondary sub-plots tangential to the main storyline and at least

the illusion of choice, much more-so than in something like Masquerada.

The story itself starts with your character getting a message from a friend which promptly

sends you into a flashback of a quick fight meant to do triple duty.

On one level, it's meant to work both as something of a tutorial on how combat works,

on the second one it's meant to place the story's building blocks namely your character's

relationship with this friend while at the same time it's a way of telling players

unfamiliar with running the shadows, that this will definitely be a heavily combat-focused

game.

Turn-based and rather tactical combat, my absolute favorite.

That doesn't mean however, that the writing is subpar, nothing of the sort, just that

it's a bit what you should expect from the cyber-pulpy setup.

The descriptions of the locations are wonderfully atmospheric and do a great job at setting

up each place.

They're neither too detailed, nor are they too short, they are just enough to prime the

reader for what they're about to encounter, see and hear.

They also do a great job at explaining what's been going in your world while you've been

busy running ops or diving into the Matrix.

When it comes to the dialogue, the game reminded me a lot of the first two Fallout games, in

the sense that the characters are written in a very realistic and in-world way, talking

to them you'll encounter the world's jargon as well as explanations relating to it.

And trust me, there's a lot of it and it's rather fascinating.

Keep in mind that this video game series is built upon a tabletop RPG first published

in 1989 whose latest version, the Fifth Edition was published in 2013.

There is a lot of lore to fall back on and mine for atmosphere.

This only adds to Shadowrun Return's atmosphere and sense of immersion - and again, similarly

to the first Fallout games, the characters aren't devoid of a sense of humor either,

thus making their characterization, and by extension that of their world, that much more

complete.

Combat system

Although it's absolutely fascinating to be capable of combining magic and guns, or

use drones for that matter, the pure turn-based combat system offers an advantage to those

characters using ranged abilities and especially guns.

In the event in which a character invests all of their Karma points into Quickness and

one or two kinds of guns, they're pretty much set.

In the time it takes a melee enemy to get within striking range, I've already reduced

his HP by three quarters with bullets and that tends to make combat overall a bit unbalanced.

Karma points are basically your generic stat points which you can invest into any of the

available stats and relevant skills.

Apropos of bullets though, something of an oversight that struck me at a certain point

during my playthrough.

I noticed that the ammo for your various guns doesn't exist as a separate resource, also

it's infinite and ethereal.

You know how in many or most RPGs that feature guns, ensuring that you have enough ammo is

a thing that varies in importance from - they're easily available at any shop to holy-shit

they're rarer than hen's teeth and it's better to learn how to make your own.

Well, not in Shadowrun Returns.

Here you have all the ammo in the world, it doesn't occupy any inventory space and you're

somehow reloading your weapons with appropriate ammo for each...and I'm not talking about

someone having a bag of holding or something, it's just a big oversight in terms of design.

Classes

The classes are likewise extremely differentiated, and they run the gamut from your more traditional

melee or ranged fighter type classes - with the Street Samurai sounding as cool as the

class is - to various types of magic users, and finishing with Shadowrun specific classes

such as the Deckers and Riggers.

But the game doesn't make you use any one class in particular, it gives you the freedom

to create a character from scratch, being able to invest Karma points into any skill

or ability, thus spawning a completely unique character.

I do suggest though, that for your first playthrough, if you're not familiar with Shadowrun's

game system, that you choose an already existing class and learn the mechanics that way.

After that you'll be capable and more knowingly create a super quick and strong katana wielder,

or you can combine technology with magic, although cybernetic implants and spells don't

mix very well on the same character, but the game offers you the opportunity to do it,

if you're crazy enough.

Replayability

Thanks to this quite large amount of freedom in terms of character creation, the game's

replayability scores rather high in my book - higher than it should because of the linearity

of the scenario.

However, despite it, since you'll get different experiences whilst playing the game with different

characters, not to mention that you can always make different choices throughout the game

that can influence further events to some degree, every playthrough experience should

be quite customized and relatively unique.

You also get a much better sense of alternate pathways because you will oftentimes see the

dialogue options that aren't available to you with your current character but you also

get to see which type of background or level of relevant skill you would need in order

to access it with a future character if you wish.

Soundtrack

The soundtrack does a great job at creating the cyberpunk dystopian atmosphere I mentioned

earlier although it is a bit repetitive when returning to homebase.

I understand the reason behind it and it might not be as noticeable for some.

Though on its own it makes for a solid listening experience.

Game gripes

But I can't be all positive about the game because after all, I would've liked for

the campaign to be a bit more fleshed out and for you to be able to interact with more

of the world.

Some more aesthetic options wouldn't've been bad either however, I do consider Shadowrun

Returns to be more of a proof of concept, a very elaborate demo if you will, for what

would be in store for the future in the Dragonfall and Hong Kong side-quels.

Conclusion

Despite the upper mentioned issues I have with the game, I would still like to wholeheartedly

suggest Shadowrun Returns to any hardcore RPG player out there who hasn't tried it

yet, or hasn't heard of it, trust me, you won't regret it.

Especially if they love turn-based tactical combat.

Nowadays the entire series is oftentimes available as a bundle at a massive discount - I think

I got mine at 80% off - so even if Shadowrun Returns doesn't sound fleshed out enough

for a stand-alone purchase - and I can definitely see that perspective - stay awhile and listen

to my Shadowrun: Dragonfall and Shadowrun: Hong Kong upcomic reviews.

Oh yeah and in case the game makes you more interested in the pen and paper original - like

it did with me - than that's just gravy.

So now that we're done here, make sure to head on over to GaminGHD and check out their

series of Fallout videos, I'll link their videos into the video description and make

sure to tell them I sent ya'

I'll see you next time chummers, with Shadowrun: Dragonfall.

10 Expensive Dogs Only Rich People Can Afford To Buy ❤ Dogs 101 - Duration: 10:13.

If you're watching this channel, you're probably like us and spend more money on your

pets than you do yourself.

While I highly advocate adoption, and that a dog's price does not define his worth,

many dog lovers are willing to pay thousands of dollars for specific dog breeds.

Here are ten of the most expensive among them.

Hi, I'm Leroy and I'm Rosie and this is Animal Facts.

Let's get started.

But, before we start, take a moment to like and subscribe for more fun, fauna facts.

Let us know about your doggy in the comments below.

10.

Czechoslovakian Wolf Dog

The Czechoslovakian Vlcak or Czech Wolf Dog looks more like a wolf than a dog.

He is indeed the result of an experiment that involved crossing working line German Shepherds

with Carpathian wolves in 1955.

The idea was to create a powerful breed with the trainability, temperament and pack mentality

of the German Shepherd along with the strength and endurance of the Carpathian Wolf.

He was engineered to assist with border patrol in Czechoslovakia but was later also used

in search and rescue, tracking, herding, agility, obedience, and drafting.

Expect to pay upwards of $1,000 dollars.

9.

Saluki

The Saluki, also called the Gazelle Hound, Arabian Hound, or Persian Greyhound is native

to the area from eastern Turkestan to Turkey.

This ancient breed is believed to be closely related to the Afghan Hound, another ancient

breed.

The Saluki is known as the royal dog of Egypt, and perhaps one of the oldest domesticated

dogs known to man, although DNA research on this and no less than a few other ancient

breeds have lead to more questions than answers, as to their true origins.

The Saluki is classed as a sighthound and is typically deep-chested and long-legged.

Salukis tend to be independent animals requiring patient training and are gentle and affectionate

with their owners.

Males can weigh up to 60 pounds and can reach up to 28 inches.

Expect him to set you back around $2,500.

8.

Peruvian Inca Orchid

Agile, smart and swift, the Peruvian Inca Orchid is an elegant sighthound that developed

in Peru.

The ancient history of the Peruvian Inca is told through pottery and textiles.

He first appeared in Moche pottery in 750 AD.

He was also depicted in Chimu, Chancay, and Incan pottery.

The Chancay people used him as a companion, and some pottery even depicts him in sweaters.

The Chimu considered him as good luck and used the dog's warmth for the treatment

of arthritis and respiratory conditions.

As one of the few hairless breeds, this dog is perhaps the oddest-looking dog breeds out

there.

He can be hairless or coated and comes in three sizes - small, medium and large or Short,

Tall and Grande for you Starbucks aficionados.

The price is up to $3000 for a hairless Peruvian.

7.

Azawakh

The Azawakh was bred by the Tuareg, Fula and various other nomads of the Sahara and sub-Saharan

Sahel in the countries of Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, and southern Algeria.

He is used as a guard dog and to hunt gazelle and hare at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.

He is one of the very few African breeds that are available for purchase in Canada and the

United States.

Usually a sandy or brown color, this breed is quite lively and needs lots of physical

activity and a caring owner in order to be truly happy.

We don't think upwards of $3,000 is too much for a dog that can run with gazelles.

6.

Akita Inu

The Akita Inu is handsome, calm, dignified, and quiet.

So it's understandable that he might be viewed as a highly desirable pet.

Japanese history, both verbal and written, describe the ancestors of the Akita, the Matagi

dog as one of the oldest of the native dogs.

Today's Akita developed primarily from dogs in the northernmost region of the island of

Honshū in the Akita prefecture, thus providing the breed's name.

The Akita Inu comes in a narrow palette of colors, with all other colors considered atypical

of the breed, while the American strain comes in all dog colors.

The Akita has a short double-coat similar to that of many other northern Spitz breeds

such as the Siberian Husky, but long-coated dogs can be found in many litters due to a

recessive gene.

The price can go as high as $4,500.

5.

Rottweiler

The Rottweiler is probably descended from the Italian Mastiff, which accompanied the

herds that the Romans brought with them when they invaded Europe.

During the Middle Ages, he was used as a herder, as a guard, messenger dog, draught dog and

for police work.

The Rott we know today was bred in the German town of Rottweil in Wurttemberg, hence the

name.

He's a powerful dog.

The Rottweiler is now used as a search and rescue dog, as a guide dog for the blind,

as a guard dog and as a police dog.

The price for certain blood lines can exceed $6000!

4.

Pharaoh Hound

The Pharaoh Hound is an ancient dog breed who has changed little since his development

more than 5,000 years ago.

He was the dog of kings and may have hunted gazelles with pharaohs, hence his name.

This loyal hunting companion later made his way to Malta, where he's now the national

dog.

Pharaoh Hound possesses a very royal look, high intelligence, and an athletic disposition.

This athlete will cost you upwards of $6,500!

3.

Tibetan Mastiff

Tibetan Mastiff is one the largest and most protective breeds in the world.

Oh my gosh, he's huge!

These dogs can be as tall as 33 inches at the whithers and reach up to a whopping 160

pounds.

The price for certain bloodlines is upwards to $7,000!

This still primitive dog breed was developed centuries ago in Tibet.

Originally used as a guard dog for livestock and property, the Tibetan Mastiff can still

be found performing that role, but he also enjoys life as a show dog and a family companion

- a very big family companion.

2.

Samoyed

Originally bred to hunt, haul sleds, and herd reindeer, the Samoyed dog breed proved a valuable

companion for northwestern Siberia's Samoyede people.

Among his duties: pack hiking, tracking, and warming his owners by sleeping on top of them

at night.

A working breed, the Samoyed can be strong-willed at times, but above all, he remains friendly,

gentle, and a devoted family companion.

He is playful competitive, strong and alert.

Expect to pay upwards to $8,000 for a Samoyed.

1.

Löwchen

The Löwchen is a toy dog that was developed as a companion dog and still finds himself

in this role today.

Active and smart, he does very well in dog competitions such as obedience and agility

and surpasses the expectations that many have for a family pet.

There are several theories as to the origins of the Lowchen, and the debate is often steeped

in controversy.

One theory has the breed originating in Northern Europe, which includes Germany, Belgium, and

France.

It is believed that the Lowchen may be one of the founding breeds in the development

of the Toy Poodle.

Today, Löwchens are extremely rare - by the 19th-century Löwchens were virtually extinct.

The continued rarity of the Löwchen will fetch upwards to $10,000 dollars!

Well, I feel broke now.

Kickstarter Video 2 - Duration: 3:46.

It was 2011 and I had just moved to San Francisco from Dallas

I think I just, I was still working in the music industry

Or I just left the music industry

And I was getting into the world of tech marketing.

I wanted to keep my ties to the music business

So I started writing for a music blog called The Vinyl District

Just writing fun little stories about whatever

I was writing about whatever I liked or whatever came up on my playlist

I remember the publicist for Motley Crue emailed me

and asked if I wanted to review the Motley Crue show in San Francisco

Of course being a huge Motley Crue fan I said, absolutely!

It was Motley Crue, The New York Dolls, and Poison

They confirmed my tickets the day before

And the email said that I had been granted a photo pass

But I had no idea what that meant.

Turns out, the publicist said that I can shoot the first three songs

from the soundboard, so it was pretty far back

I didn't have a camera, and I had never picked up a DLSR camera in my life

So I went out that night and I purchased a Nikon

entry level D3000 I think it was

and the next thing you know, I'm at the show

standing next to some photographers who had likely been doing this

for a decade or two, with lots more experience than I had

this was the first time I had ever picked up a camera and shot a concert

so it was intimidating, I was very nervous because I didn't know what I was doing

and my photos were that night were so terrible

I completely screwed up this opportunity

and I felt so bad the next day, I was a little bit depressed

here's this opportunity to photograph one of my favorite bands

and I just completely botched it

So after shaking off the frustration, I vowed to do everything I possibly could

to master the art of low light, fast moving photography

Five years later and this book documents my journey

From the first shot to a shot I just took a few weeks ago here in London

I'm asking for your help to bring this project to life

These photos have never been seen as a body of work

along with the story of how they all came together

All the settings, all the gear

a complete breakdown of the process

it's a crash course for anyone looking to get into concert photography

But this book is so much more.

It's documenting the creation of an expert

I've never worked on anything this hard in my entire life

This was the last four years of my life

every single day

going through these thousands of pictures

finding the best of the best, editing and then re-editing

and pulling these together into a way, into a story

that represents the way I've always wanted them to be shown

Hopefully through this view you can imagine yourself there

in the photo with me, in the crowd,

in the chaos that is fast moving, low light concert photography

Additionally, I'm that Lüc Carl, the voice of Sirius XM's Hair Nation

and Ozzy's Boneyard

Has agreed to write the foreword

I met Lüc on the Monsters of Rock Cruise, he's one of the coolest

guys ever, he lives and breathes rock n roll

and I'm thrilled to have him as part of this book as well

I'm asking for your help in bringing this book to life

The book is completely done, and I had a beautiful designer

and it's ready to go to print

but this is a beast of a project to put together

and I want to do it right

so that it looks exactly the way that I envisioned it from the beginning

So with your help, I have plenty of packages and opportunities

If you just want the book, or if you just want to say thank you

there are plenty of opportunities to join in and help me bring this book to life

Thanks for listening and with your help, I know we can make this happen.

7 Manoeuvring an Army | The Art of War by Sun Tzu (Animated) - Duration: 17:06.

Lesson number 1.

Sun Tzu said: In war, the general receives his commands from the sovereign.

Subutai, was Genghis Khan's most astute and brilliant general.

His great discipline and intelligence when carrying out his ruler's orders allowed

him to execute them successfully and help the Mongols create one of the largest empires

in history.

Set goals and aspirations that are achievable; allow others to use their expertise to advance

the strategy to achieve your intended objectives.

Lesson number 2.

Having collected an army and concentrated his forces, he must blend and harmonise the

different elements thereof before pitching his camp.

Miltiades the Athenian general used innovative tactics at the Battle of Marathon to defeat

the Persians, despite his men being outnumbered.

Miltiades convinced his war-ruler that to defeat their opponent, they needed to change

from the traditional tactics of spreading their hoplite soldiers evenly across the battlefield

and instead move them to the flanks to protect against the strong Persian cavalry.

This move helped win the battle for the Greeks.

When deciding where to position your best people, there is no magic formula.

The choice can be critical but is dependent on your strategy and the manoeuvers you intend

to make.

Lesson number 3.

After that, comes tactical manoeuvering, than which there is nothing more difficult.

The difficulty of tactical manoeuvering consists in turning the devious into the direct, and

misfortune into gain.

Hannibal and Napoleon were two of the most ruthless generals of their respective eras.

They both made the treacherous journey of crossing the Alps, two thousand years apart.

Despite being extremely difficult ground to travel across with obvious natural obstacles,

both generals used swiftness of movement to turn these difficulties into an advantage.

Hannibal bypassed Roman naval ships to attack in Italy directly, while Napoleon took the

shortest route to surprise and drive back the Austrian army.

Once your plans are in place, the next step is to get them in motion.

Strong execution is very important.

Strategy is worthless if you can't do what you planned.

Lesson number 4.

Manoeuvering with an army is advantageous; with an undisciplined multitude, most dangerous.

Alexander the Great was given an already well-trained army from his father but he trained them even

further.

He dressed in the same way as his soldiers to increase their loyalty to him.

As well as leading from the front in battle, he'd walk through the camp and stop to talk

to his men, which increased their motivation.

He was also ruthless in punishing those soldiers who betrayed him, executing dissenters.

His disciplined force travelled far and wide, with speed and mobility when needed.

Often you have to move quickly to take advantage of an opportunity.

There may be little time for planning and training.

You must see the need and move quickly.

This is why preparation and practice is so important: there is no time on the day.

Lesson number 5.

An army without its baggage-train is lost; without provisions it is lost; without bases

of supply it is lost.

After the death of Alexander the Great, two of his successors battled over his empire.

In the Battle of Gabiene, Antigonus captured Eumenes' baggage train, which contained supplies

and stolen goods from nearly four decades of warfare.

This directly lead to the defeat of Eumenes, who was turned over by his own men in exchange

for the return of the captured baggage train.

An army marches on its stomach.

Food and other supplies keep troops alive, motivated and strong.

You may still perform well without supplies for a short period of time but you cannot

hold out forever.

Ensure adequate resources are in place.

Lesson number 6.

We cannot enter into alliances until we are acquainted with the designs of our neighbors.

England and Portugal have enjoyed a partnership for hundreds of years, dating back to the

middle ages.

Both countries were aware of the benefits for each other.

For Portugal, English aid helped them repel potential invaders and for the English it

provided them with a foothold in mainland Europe.

It is the oldest alliance still in force.

When offered a partnership, ask what is in it for them and what do they really seek?

When their desires and intent are known, you can determine how much you trust them and

whether to become an ally.

Lesson number 7.

We are not fit to lead an army on the march unless we are familiar with the face of the

country - its mountains and forests, its pitfalls and precipices, its marshes and swamps.

Emperor Nicephorus I of the Byzantine Empire ignored an offer of peace from the leader

of Bulgaria, Khan Krum, and instead marched and pillaged the capital with 80,000 men.

The looting was so brutal and lengthy it gave the Bulgarian army time to block the passes

in the Balkan mountains.

By failing to scout the passes after the ransacking, Nicephorus and his army marched into the mountains,

became trapped and were killed.

Krum had Nicephorus' skull encased in silver and made into a drinking cup.

Understand well the land in front and any obstacles to come.

By knowing anything that lies ahead, you will be prepared as well as you can be.

Lesson number 8.

We shall be unable to turn natural advantage to account unless we make use of local guides.

In the Battle of Thermopylae, despite having vastly inferior numbers, the Greeks successfully

blocked the only road the Persian army could pass for two days.

After the second day, a local Greek resident betrayed his fellow men by revealing that

a small path led behind the Greek lines.

Xerxes the Persian ruler sent his troops over the mountain path that evening so that they

could attack the Greeks from the rear, and leave them surrounded, which led to the Greeks

being defeated.

Research can only tell you so much.

Local experts will know much more than you possibly can through experience, so make use

of them.

Seek out and learn from those that understand things to a depth that you can't.

Lesson number 9.

Whether to concentrate or to divide your troops, must be decided by circumstances.

During the First World War, the Central Powers were unable to match the Allies in terms of

number of fighter aircraft.

To overcome this, instead of deploying their fighters evenly across the fronts, the Germans

concentrated their fighters into large mobile formations called Jagdgeschwader.

One of these formations was known as the Flying Circus due to the aircraft's bright colours

and their method of being transferred from one area of conflict to another, improvising

and setting up camp wherever they went, much like a circus.

These rapidly moving units allowed the Germans to achieve air supremacy by creating a local

superiority in numbers.

Do not blindly apply rules of thumb as this will often lead to failure.

Each decision has many complicating factors and must be carefully considered.

Lesson number 10.

Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.

The Neo-Babylonian Empire fell to the King of Persia, Cyrus the Great in the Battle of

Opis.

The only way into the city of Babylon was though one of the gates or through the Euphrates

river, as the city walls were considered impenetrable.

Metal grates installed underwater allowed the river to flow through the city walls while

stopping invaders.

The Persians formulated a secret plan to enter Babylon via the Euphrates river.

During a Babylonian national feast, Cyrus' troops redirected the river upstream, which

allowed soldiers to enter the city through the lowered water.

The Persian army then overran the outer areas of the city while the majority of its citizens

were in the city centre, unaware of any attack.

Keep your plans secret and strictly on a need-to-know basis.

When attacking, use speed and move fast to build unstoppable momentum.

Lesson number 11.

When you plunder a countryside, let the spoil be divided amongst your men; when you capture

new territory, cut it up into allotments for the benefit of the soldiery.

After his successful invasion of England, William the Conqueror carried out some land

management.

Approximately 25% of available land was acquired for himself and 25% went to the church, who

had given the invasion their blessing from Rome.

The remaining land was divided between his dozen or so loyal and trusted servants.

Giving land as a reward had a double purpose.

It motivated his servants with a future reward and it meant that through them he was still

in control of the land, due to their loyalty.

Remember to reward people for the efforts that they make.

It shows that you care about them and that you are fair and even-handed.

The more motivated they are, the harder they will fight for you.

Lesson number 12.

Gongs and drums, banners and flags, are means whereby the ears and eyes of the host may

be focused on one particular point.

In ancient China, there was extensive usage of flags for communication in warfare.

Different positions were used to indicate enemy movements.

Commands were transmitted through horns, drums, gongs, bells and whistles.

The drums were also used to influence enemy and friendly morale.

In order for people to understand your communication, you must broadcast using a method that people

can grasp.

Communication is not what is transmitted, but what people understand.

Use loud and visible communications in environments where there are many distractions.

Lesson number 13.

The host thus forming a single united body, is it impossible either for the brave to advance

alone, or for the cowardly to retreat alone.

This is the art of handling large masses of men.

The American poet and war correspondent, Stephen Crane spoke of "a mysterious fraternity

born out of smoke and danger of death".

He was referring to the special type of friendship and ties developed when facing life and death

situations in battle.

The obligations to your fellow soldiers is seen as one of the most powerful reasons to

fight.

This bond with the men standing beside you helps prevent troops from fleeing.

Camaraderie is therefore vital in uniting fighters in war.

Leadership is critical to move the men in the intended direction.

When a group of people come together, they behave differently.

The herd mentality drives them to act in the same way as those around them.

A large group can therefore be moved by a small group within.

This is the essence of leadership.

Lesson number 14.

A whole army may be robbed of its spirit; a commander-in-chief may be robbed of his

presence of mind.

A few weeks after becoming Prime Minister, Winston Churchill gave a speech following

the Dunkirk evacuation.

"We shall fight on the seas and oceans... we shall defend our island, whatever the cost

may be.

We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in

the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender…"

It was an exhilarating declaration to the nation to pick itself up and start the struggle

all over again.

The speech strengthened Britain's resolve at a vital time in history.

An army's "spirit" provides the motivation and energy to engage in combat.

Low spirits increase bad decisions.

By being positive and energised, you can make a huge difference to your workforce as a spirited

leader.

Lesson number 15.

Now a soldier's spirit is keenest in the morning; by noonday it has begun to flag; and in the

evening, his mind is bent only on returning to camp.

When the Carthaginians took on the Roman Republic in the Battle of the Trebia, the Roman soldiers

were ordered to march forward and wade through ice cold water, despite not even having their

morning meal.

When they got across the river, they could hardly hold their weapons.

Hannibal on the other hand was prepared.

His men were fed and warmed from their camp fires, with their weapons ready.

Ensure you have adequate rest and food as it improves your mood.

Even one day of inaction can reduce spirit and make you listless and lethargic.

Lesson number 16.

A clever general, therefore, avoids an army when its spirit is keen, but attacks it when

it is sluggish and inclined to return.

This is the art of studying moods.

Between December 1941 and February 1942, several Japanese successes across Southeast Asia reduced

the morale of British soldiers defending Singapore.

Spirits were so low that when the Japanese eventually attacked, they quickly surrendered.

After the war was over, a Japanese commander said that his attack was a bluff and that

his men were extremely low on water and ammunition.

He admitted that if the British defenders had held for one more week - which was feasible

- his attack would have failed.

Engage your opponent when their spirit is low and yours is high.

It will give you a significant advantage.

Lesson number 17.

To refrain from intercepting an enemy whose banners are in perfect order, to refrain from

attacking an army drawn up in calm and confident array: this is the art of studying circumstances.

Napoleon in 1812 and the Germans in 1941 both tried to invade Russia.

The Russians refrained from attacking in both cases and sacrificed vast expanses of their

land until the environmental conditions wore their enemies out.

The American Continental Army fought a long, drawn-out campaign in the War of Independance.

This tactic helped to defeat the British, who were also concerned with the great military

threat from France.

Good timing is required when striking at the enemy.

Keep cool and calm; it will let you wait for the right moment.

Lose your cool first and as a consequence, you may lose the fight.

Lesson number 18.

It is a military axiom not to advance uphill against the enemy, nor to oppose him when

he comes downhill.

Historically, fighting from an elevated position has numerous advantages.

Holding the high ground provides a wide field of view which enables observation of the surrounding

area.

This makes it easier to provide early warning about enemy troops.

Troops fighting uphill will move more slowly and tire quicker than the enemy fighting downhill.

Also, elevated soldiers have greater range with weapons such as rocks, arrows, and grenades.

Well trained archers that were positioned on top of a hill at the Battle of Agincourt

illustrated this point and helped England to beat the French.

Among humans, height is often seen as a symbol of status.

Taller people are statistically more likely to be in senior business positions.

The fact that height is used as a metaphor for superiority provides a subtle psychological

edge and the effect could affect motivation in a battle.

Lesson number 19.

Do not pursue an enemy who simulates flight; do not attack soldiers whose temper is keen.

Lucius Cornelius Scipio captured several towns in the island of Sardinia by landing strong

units of soldiers at night.

He told them to stay in hiding until he drew near to land with his own ships.

As the enemy left their towns to come and meet the ships, Scipio pretended to flee,

leading them on a long chase.

Meanwhile, his hidden troops were ordered to attack the towns that had been abandoned

by their inhabitants.

If your opponent runs away or backs down unexpectedly, beware of chasing them as they may well be

leading you into a trap.

Lesson number 20.

When you surround an army, leave an outlet free.

Do not press a desperate foe too hard.

Such is the art of warfare.

During their invasion of Europe, the Mongol Empire took on the Kingdom of Hungary.

After the Mongols attacked one camp, demoralised Hungarian soldiers fled.

They tried to escape through a gap which the Mongols had left open deliberately.

The Mongols believed that fleeing soldiers can be killed more easily than those who are

forced to fight to the death with their backs against the wall.

If an enemy is cornered, they must fight for their lives.

By forcing them to go down in a blaze of glory they will take more of your soldiers or resources

than you might otherwise have used.

Needlessly slaughtering an army will gain you hostility from their family and fellow

citizens.

It will increase the chance of them arising to take revenge.

Allowing a graceful retreat in a direction you choose, is often a better option.

After you show your superiority, you will be able to negotiate a favourable peace.

Maybe it's the providence of the universe

It just had to be that

U know I know

You are I, I am you

As much as my heart flutters, I'm worried

The destiny is jealous of us

Just like you I'm so scared

When you see me

When you touch me

The universe has moved for us

There wasn't even a little miss

Our happiness was meant to be

Cuz you love me

And I love you

You're my penicillium (blue mold)

Saving me

Dried fruit.

DW | STAGE PRESENCE - EMOTIONAL VISION (Trailer) | Online dance school by Illan Rivière - Duration: 1:05.

I feel that sometimes I go unnoticed, and sometimes feel I'm the centre of attention.

On stage I've felt something similar, and I wonder:

why does it happen? What's different about me?

It's when I look at what I've done during the day that I realize that I only remember small pieces of what I lived…

I sometimes felt the same on stage; a sense of disconnection,

that take away from my dance expressiveness and fluidity.

I feel the need to be alive, to create an alive person on stage,

capable of making visible what is invisible: the intention.

So every day I ask myself: Am I present?

Do I feel my essence? Do I live with presence?

Rina: We are going to watch from EXO..the...KO KO BOP...BAP..BOP...okey you know everyone say it with different pronunciation here

Balázs: EXO~~

Rina: Now there is a little difference from our other reaction videos because I have not seen the video clip either.

I watched all of the live videos so many times and

I listened the song many many times

But I didn't watched the mv.

Because I waited an occasion like this.

I really waited~

Just because of you guys.

Fanni: How honorific

I will not fangirling..

Fanni: She is the most excited!!

Rina: Yeah, finally!!

Balázs: EXO~~

Rina: Let's get started!!

Dad: Turn it on!

In my mind: TOO LOUD TOO LOUD OMG

Balázs: Still fangirling

Balázs: Did you hear the music before?

Rina: Yeah

Okey~~

Balázs: It's like someone smoked a lot of weed and enjoy the music.

Rina: yes a little bit haha

Balázs: chill

Rina: Chanyeol~~

Balázs: Dance for the camera!

Tomi: Solo show~

Rina: I'm sorry!

Balázs: It's a little bit poor part of the song.

Fanni: This part is like an opening soundtrack of a Drama.

Rina: Nooo I don't think it.

Balázs: As if I listen a completly different sound.

Dad: It was the best song ever. Seriously!

Rina: I restrained myself..

Balázs: Ohh It was the restrained version. Okay~

Rina: Thank you guys for watching this video!

Boys: It was good.

Tomi: it was a weed music a bit.

Tomi: Just smoke weed and chill

Balázs: Yeah I think so.

Rina: Yeah yeah

Rina: It has retro style.

Fanni: The best part of the song is: "Shimi shimi"

Rina: Woaa cool.

Rina: Yeah I like it too.

Rina: Lúci?

Lúci: What should I say?><"

Lúci: It was good.

Rina: It was good yeah.

Balázs: I said everything during the whatching.

Tomi: The song was better than the clip for me.

Tomi: It was better.

Balázs & Dad: Yeah the song was better.

Rina: I think the song fits the clip.

Tomi: Yes yes it was good.

Dad: The beginning and the ending was cool.

Balázs: Yeah there was a softly part in the middle of the music.

Dad: Yes.

Rina: Yeah I know you like the dynamic music.

Dad: Yes, but it was really good.

Balázs: Yeah I just like the dynamic parts.

Rina: But sometimes there has to be something change and after that bamm~

Fanni: That part was a soft romantic opening soundtrack.

Rina: D.O's solo (and Chen sorry)

Balázs: But it was good.

Fanni: Mum did you say something?

Dad: It was a good choice.

Rina: Mum?

Mum: Eh

Rina: Eh

Mum: The guys have got amazingly beautiful eyes.

Mum: Everyting is nice and colorful. Dad: I only watched boys' eyes.

Tomi: Everybody will love her ><

Balázs: At least someone payed attention for these things.

Mum: It's a little bit too much for me.

Mum: Nevertheless they have beautiful eyes and it's really colorful and etc. but it's a little bit girly for me.

Mum: Girly boys but they are beautiful. (They should watching 'the eve' I'm curious she whould say "girly" again haha><)

Rina: Yeah They are beautiful.

Fanni: Dad's reaction like..

Rina: It's the usual reaction. I'm happy that she says they are beautiful.

Balázs&Tomi: It was good. A nice song.

Balázs: If you liked this video please subcribe the channel. Give us a thumps up If you didn't like it just dislike, negative and positive comments~

Rina: Thanks for watching this video!

Gemma Eats...Disneyland Food | Dole Whip, Beignets, Grey Stuff Gateau & More! - Duration: 12:26.

You just have to have confidence and you can down one of those bad boys in minutes.

Food is my true passion.

I'm Gemma Stafford, a professional chef and host of Bigger Bolder Baking.

So that means great food is a huge part of my every day life.

You've seen me boldly bake over the top recipes.

Now travel with me on my culinary adventures around the world.

In this Episode of Gemma Eats…I'm at the original Disneyland in California.

Enjoying Disneyland's take on some traditional treats.

Cooling down with a famous frozen dessert…

And going to town with this savory beast.

While even trying a delightful sweet with a strange name…

All right now on Gemma Eats.

Welcome to Disneyland California!

I'm really excited to be here with Olivia Crouppen.

Hi Everybody!

Olivia is my culinary assistant.

She is my eating buddy.

And she was also on Masterchef.

So here's what we did.

We asked everybody on social media where should we eat at Disneyland and we got a huge amount

of requests.

Lots of different things.

Ice creams, all sorts of different stuff.

So we have our phone.

Olivia is going to check social media.

I have a map and we're going to hunt down some really great things to eat.

So let's go.

Let's go.

They don't call it the happiest place on earth for nothing.

Whether it's your first time or one hundredth, the sights and sounds of this park are always

magical.

And of course this is one big and bold place for Eats of all shapes and sizes.

The colorful candy and confections alone could keep someone busy and full for quite some

time.

But we had our first stop in mind.

Just a little further into the park to New Orleans Square and the Cafe Orleans for their

Monte Cristo Sandwich.

I've never had one before.

Have you had one before?

You've never had one before?

No Never.

I love a monte cristo but I haven't had one in years.

And I've never had one at Disneyland.

I'm just a little dubious about the sugar on top.

I like my sweets sweet.

And my savory savory.

So I'm wondering is that a little too much.

That's fair.

But we'll find out.

And if I don't like it, I'll just eat a whole bowl of fries.

True.

I haven't been to Disneyland in over 15 years.

So you have a few times on me.

It's exactly how I remembered.

But I can't remember any of the food so I'm really excited to be eating.

That's all I remember is the food.

So when I was a kid, we used to go as a family to DisneyWorld in Florida.

There were seven of us.

Sometimes 8 or 9 of us.

And it was such a blast.

We rented out a house.

And there was a pool there.

The weather was like nothing we had experienced before being Irish.

And the amusement parks are like nothing I've ever seen.

If I came here from Ireland.

It's hot.

It's sunny.

People are out eating all kinds of street food.

And it's the epitome of American food.

And that's awesome to us because it's something we just don't know.

There are so many things.

Corn Dogs?

What is a Corn Dog?

I find out later it's something delicious.

That I probably shouldn't be eating but it's delicious.

Gorgeous!

Thank you.

Oh my gosh.

Kevin, Check that out!

That is a deep fried sandwich.

That's not a sandwich, that's a monster.

That is a sandwich that has been breaded and deep fried.

Did you know it was deep fried?

I didn't know it was deep fried.

Oh, wait look.

Olivia.

We're not all that bad.

Check out our vegetable.

Oh, just some healthy garlic fries.

Oh my gosh, the smell is insanity.

Ok, let's dig into this sandwich.

Are you ready for this?

Cheers.

I am.

I was born ready.

Your first Monte Cristo.

Oh my gosh

Do you know what this is?

Ridiculous?

This is a donut with ham and cheese in the middle.

That's what this is.

Hence the powdered sugar.

Honestly, it's like the cheese melts into the donut and they become one.

They also give you a little bit of jelly here.

Black Currant?

Black Currant Jam?

That works for me.

Do you know what it's like now?

A Jelly Donut with Ham and Cheese in the middle.

I legit like this.

I just can't imagine now.

How do you go back to a regular sandwich?

Once you have a deep fried sandwich.

How do you go back?

It's all downhill from here.

Or up?

Fries.

Don't forget your vegetables.

One of your 5 a day.

Oh, we need to be doing some of this.

Look at this.

Can we just talk about all the garlic and parmesan.

Oh my.

Good call, Liv.

So, Gem.

It looks like everyone is talking about these Beignets.

And we're in New Orleans so I'm thinking they're pretty close.

Yep, right around the corner.

I think we should go because I can't stop eating those fries.

I'm saving room.

Let's go.

Just around the corner is the Mint Julep Bar famous for their Mickey-Shaped Beignets.

In this bag you'll find doughy, sugary sweet bits of goodness featuring everyone's favorite

mouse.

Go on, Liv.

Dig in while they're still warm.

It's time for my very first beignet.

I can't believe you've never had one.

Oh my gosh.

Aren't they sweet.

Look at it.

It's like you got a baby one.

Mine's like a big mommy one.

They're adorable.

So beignets are pretty much very similar to donuts.

And they're definitely something you find in New Orleans a lot that's why they're

here in the New Orleans Square.

Aren't they yummy?

So good.

Do you think they taste better because they're shaped like Mickey Mouse?

I think they taste better because it's covered in powdered sugar.

I'm starting to think a beignet could be very closely related to a Monte Cristo sandwich.

I have to say though.

I've never been to New Orleans but I'm liking your guys' style.

I would do well in that town.

I think we might need to visit.

I'm thinking next…we're getting a lot about Dole Whip.

Have you had Dole Whip before?

Another first.

You're in for a treat.

Dole Whip is awesome.

It was killing me not to ride any rides yet but I had more Eats in mind…

Near the entrance of Adventureland, is the Dole Whip stand and the line is usually really

long but I have a secret for you.

Ok, so come here.

I'm going to tell you a secret.

When you come to the Dole Whip stand.

You see these arches here.

Go through there and you can actually get served on the other side.

So don't stand in that big queue like a chump.

Let's go get ours really fast.

Skip the line!

There was no one in line on the other side so we were that much closer to this amazing

frozen treat!

Look at that!

I'm excited for you Olivia because you haven't this before so let me know what you think.

Ok, here it goes.

I'd just like everyone to know that is 100 degrees here in Disneyland today so something

like this you have to have it's a necessity.

It tastes just like a pineapple but with the consistency of the creamiest froyo you've

ever had.

Yeah, you're right.

It's delicious.

It's like pineapple ice cream.

And it is cooling me down.

And actually I don't know if you know this Olivia but I've made this before on Bigger

Bolder Baking because I came down here on a trip one time with Kevin and I had it for

the first time ever.

And I said to myself I have to make this.

Because you can only get it at Disneyland, right.

Yeah, I've never seen it anywhere else.

Everyone should experience Dole Whip.

So it's only a few ingredients.

Blend up some pineapple.

It's really easy.

It's absolutely delicious.

I have to say though there's definitely something about being here today in Disneyland.

100 degrees.

I definitely appreciate it right now.

What more could you ask for?

It's creamy.

It's delicious.

It's awesome.

I love this.

This is clearly finished.

Should we move on to our next spot.

Let's do it.

Let's go.

So it was time for a little break from eating…Even though it was ridiculously hot, we had to

go on some rides.

No matter how old you are, Disneyland makes you feel like a kid again.

And of course we found a few good Eats along the way.

This is the next thing we're going to stop at.

Now this is one of the reasons why I love Disneyland.

See right behind me?

Oh, no.

There are these carts everywhere and they sell Churros, hot dogs, corn dogs.

And my absolute most favorite thing ever and I think yours too.

Turkey Legs.

Turkey Legs!

Big as your head turkey legs.

We've got to go get one.

Let's do it.

It's like a bouquet of turkey.

Honestly.

Oh, I'm getting this.

I'm taking this.

Oh.

Sorry, Liv.

I don't know.

Forget the beignets.

The Monte Cristo.

This is where it's at.

Eat that bit there.

When I used to come to DisneyWorld as a kid with my family.

Every single one of us used to order a turkey leg.

And we would demolish it.

The whole thing and we were only like 6, 7, 8 years old.

Every single one of us.

And still to this day, if you say to my Dad Disneyland or DisneyWorld, the first thing

he talks about is the turkey legs.

You don't forget that type of thing in a hurry.

To me what this is all about is fall off the bone like shreddy, smoky.

Get a big chunk.

Oh, look at.

See.

Kev, get in here let me show you why I love this so much.

See this.

It just falls apart and it's smoked as well for extra flavor.

My favorite bit is the part that that's really caramelized almost to the point of

burnt.

Sometimes they call that the bark.

The crispy bark.

If that's good, you shouldn't need anything else.

And that's like this.

It doesn't need any seasoning.

No sauce.

No special extra.

Gourmet turkey leg.

So since we filled up on something savory, we decided to go for something quite sweet.

The Red Rose Taverne is inspired by Beauty and the Beast.

This place feels like a story book come to life.

And we were told this was where we could find The Grey Stuff.

We got a lot of requests to come here.

I think it's kind of crazy.

It's white chocolate mousse, red velvet cake and a raspberry center.

But what it looks like from the pictures online it is a grey kind of coal-ly, charcoal-ly

looking thing so I'm actually really excited to try because it looks interesting and awesome.

I love red velvet.

I love raspberry.

And I love white chocolate.

And I love desserts.

And I love desserts.

Ok, Grey Stuff Gateau.

Let's see what's inside.

Are you ready for this?

I'm so ready.

What's in there, Liv?

Look at that.

It's a cake.

It's like a red velvet cake.

Ok so it's red velvet, raspberry and clearly this is a grey white chocolate mousse.

How does it taste?

Yum.

Yum?

Mmm.

Oh, it's yummy.

Mmm.

The mousse is delicious.

It's funny.

We kept on getting messages on Facebook and on Instagram to go eat Grey Stuff.

And I had to say to somebody, what are you talking about and where is it?

What is grey stuff?

She told me.

I feel like the name does not really do it justice.

I know I sound surprised but this is really yummy.

Good call.

All the bites are getting different.

Now I'm getting bits of raspberry.

Candies.

These little guys whatever they are awesome.

Crunchy crispy.

We had our vegetables today.

We had the potatoes (fries).

We had our fruit which was the Dole Whip.

And there were some grapes with the Monte Cristo.

If Grey Stuff was one of your 5 a day, we'd have them all ticked off.

Certainly worth it.

I don't know about you but I am so full.

Stop laughing at me.

I'm stuffed.

I know, me too.

I'm stuffed.

And to be fair, we had a huge list of things coming here.

We didn't even get to half of them.

So, you're an awesome eating buddy.

I like that you love to eat everything.

But we're just going to have to come back and do it all over again.

Thank you so much.

Thank you guys so much for having me.

You're welcome!

Disneyland's Eats aren't stuffy or pretentious.

They're simply about fun.

They're about transporting you to another place…time…or even age.

At the end of the day, it's about remembering that magical feeling and bringing it with

you wherever you go.

And wherever you eat…

Madonna FINALLY Leaves America After Threatening Trump, Look Where She's Going - Duration: 13:56.

Madonna FINALLY Leaves America After Threatening Trump, Look Where She's Going

Madonna thrives on being weird.

This Saturday, Madonna showed all her fans a major announcement on her two posts on Instagram.

The 59-year-old trump hating maniac is officially moving to Portugal.

She is apparently working on a movie and making some new music.

Here is the image she posted of her standing over two tree stumps with her legs spread

open over a boat sailing through it.

Legs open is a posture that Madonna most likely assumes often.

She then revealed the following three announcements:

"THE ENERGY OF PORTUGAL IS SO INSPIRING.

I FEEL VERY CREATIVE AND ALIVE HERE AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING ON MY FILM LOVED AND

MAKING NEW MUSIC!!!," BEGAN MADONNA.

"THIS WILL BE THE NEXT CHAPTER IN MY BOOK!

IT'S TIME TO CONQUER THE WORLD FROM A DIFFERENT VANTAGE POINT,"SHE WROTE.

Madonna said that she made the move to Europe because of her mental health.

That sound accurate.

"I used to be a basket case but now I Live in Lisbon!," she said.

According to the AP, her spokesperson said that "the singer said she fell in love with

the country after ending a tour there in 2004."

Madonna is currently directing a movie called Loved.

This is a perfect title… because nobody in America loves Madonna.

"I've always felt oppressed.

I know a lot of people would go, "Oh, that's ridiculous for you to say that.

You're a successful white, wealthy pop star,'" but I've had the s*** kicked out of me for

my entire career, and a large part of that is because I'm female and also because I

refuse to live a conventional life.

I've created a very unconventional family.

I have lovers who are three decades younger than me.

This makes people very uncomfortable."

Remember what Madonna said about blowing up the White House?

Watch that below.

Let's hope that Madonna stays in Portugal.

Share this everywhere if you hope she doesn't ever

come back.

Learn English Words - NOXIOUS - Meaning, Vocabulary Lesson with Pictures and Examples - Duration: 1:18.

Noxious harmful

Besides being annoying, the mosquito is a noxious insect that can carry and transmit

a number of potentially fatal diseases.

When I made the mistake of asking my wife what that noxious smell was, it turned out

to be dinner, which I ate with my happy face.

You can avoid getting sick so often by frequently washing your hands to eliminate noxious bacteria

and viruses.

Although I am spending as much time as I can in my garden, I'm still having trouble keeping

the noxious weeds from completely taking over.

Hortense has a noxious personality, and if you want to survive socially, it's best

to try to avoid her company.
