Want some juicy gossip about Luke when he was a kid in Niskayuna, NY? - Duration: 8:32.

Back when I was growing up, this is what we did for fun.

Luke doesn't know what I have in store for him today.

I want you all to see what my life was like from age 6-18.

Behind me is my Elementary school, Hillside Elementary School.

People are always asking in the comments what my life was like as a kid.

Today you'll get to find out.

Starting at elementary school, back when I was 6 years old.

All the way to age 18 and high school.

You know, Luke doesn't always tell the full story.

So I did my own investigation and got his mom and step-dad to share the juicy bits.

What?

You know, to make the video fun.

When he was in elementary school, Luke really wanted to be famous.

He made his mom call the local playhouses to see if they had a part for him.

His mom said Luke made her call over and over and over.

She really told you this story?

Ohh yes. And she did it for you.

She figured nothing would come of it, but 2 weeks later, Luke got a big part.

That's what started all of this.

So today's lesson is, if you want something just ask for it (over and over).

Don't be afraid to get out there and be yourself.

So you haven't told me what city we're in.

Niskayuna, NY. It comes from a Native American word.

But my Native American linguistic skills are lacking, not sure what it means.

What's so important about this place?

This is my first ever home.

First home? Looks more like a shop.

When I lived there, it was divided into two.

We rented a small place in the back, the front was a magazine and candy shop.

Now there's a fence in the back, back then it was open.

That way kids could come buy candy after school.

I thought it was the coolest thing, living near a candy shop.

Where did you study middle school?

Let's go!

Van Antwerp Middle School.

8th grade is where you graduate from middle school and move on to high school.

Even though it's just 8th grade, we still have a graduation ceremony.

Ready for the middle school story?

Lord, what did she tell you?

One day Luke borrowed one of his mom's ankle-length skirts and wore it to French class.

It was just like in the movies, his teacher had to call and ask mom what was going on.

Mom just said she didn't know what to do.

Next up in high school, but I think I'll go alone. No more stories from Tae.

He's afraid. Just you wait.

It seems like the stories just keep getting more and more extreme.

There's not much to do around here. This is the biggest street, Union Street.

I'm going to show you all the hot-spots.

After school, we used to hang out here. Not much to do, but it was all we had.

See this tattoo studio over there?

I've always been an entrepreneur, found a way to make my own money.

It used to be a magazine shop that sold adult magazines.

Back when I was a kid, seeing someone naked other than myself wasn't easy.

You kids have it easy with your Internets and stuff.

We had to go buy magazines, and you had to be 18 too.

High school kids like us were out of luck.

But, I found someone to buy them for me so I could resell them at school.

I made tons of money.

Until my teacher found out and told my mom.

Mom put an end to that business.

What are you looking for?

Pizza time. Taking you to a restaurant that's been here for 40 years.

Home Style Pizza.

What kind of pizza is that?

Just plain cheese.

If you really want to know about the quality of a restaurant's pizza, start with the basics.

They haven't changed a thing.

Must be like when Thais who live overseas return home

and eat Somtum from the same restaurant they went to as kids.

Don't talk about Thai food now, I'm hungry.

My turn. Luke's childhood favorite.

It's really good.

Up next is a local pharmacy, something you don't see much of anymore.

Check out their truck, looks like they sell a different type of "medicine".

Has this grocery store been open long?

Long time, longer than I've been around.

It's a small store, but it's survived because it has quality stuff.

Next door is a super hi-tech place.

They have some very hard to find technology.

Computer and Fax.

The sign is so old, the X doesn't turn on.

It's not a fax shop, it's a fa shop.

So you can actually send faxes here?

No, you can send fas here. No more X.

Did you laugh? Funny?

Gift shop.

Ok, here it is, my high school.

This is where I was when I was 16-18. Then it was off to university.

I have a lot of good memories about this place.

I didn't have a lot of friends, but I had good friends.

See that American football field over there?

You all know that I'm not a sporty kid.

But my brother is pretty much the best at all sports.

Ok, this is going to sound like a movie.

My brother was the captain of the football team.

Years after graduating, he ran into the old captain of the cheerleading team.

They ended up falling in love, now they're married and have kids.

What's cool is their wedding was on the field.

They turned on the lights at night, and made a rosebud path on the ground.

I couldn't fly in from Thailand in time, but I'm in all the photos via Facetime.

My smiling face made it via Facetime.

Ready for the last story?

More?

Yup, there's more and it's good.

When Luke was in high school, he had two parakeets.

Not sure what you call them in Thai, but yeah.

Luke didn't do a single thing to take care of them.

So of course they up and died.

Luke really freaked out and was super upset.

He got really mad at his step-dad for saying "it's just a bird".

Luke freaked out, he couldn't believe how misunderstood he was.

Even though he had never paid attention to them.

His mom said he was like this.

Luke didn't go to school, just stayed home and cried.

Actually I think I missed two days of school.

You know, I don't know why I got so upset. I really didn't care about them.

I mean they were nice, but I didn't want to clean up their shit.

I just wanted pretty birds without all the work.

Maybe this is why Luke is a vegetarian, he felt bad about killing the birds.

Paying off my bad karma by being vegetarian for 12 years.

Today's lesson: having pets is a big responsibility. Don't rush into it.

Try taking care of a friend's animals first.

Sad story, huh?

Where to now?

Dinner time! Mom is waiting. What time is it?

Look it's 7:30pm and it's still so bright.

I love these long American summers.

Look at the messages and missed calls from mom. Dinner is ready.

We should hurry home.

Sorry mom.

It says bright like this until 8-9pm.

South Korea qualifies for 2018 World Cup following 0-0 draw with Uzbekistan - Duration: 1:29.

South Korea are through the 2018 World Cup, though not in the most exciting or triumphant

fashion.

Team Korea sealed their place in Russia next year with a scoreless draw against Uzbekistan,

though they had to wait a few minutes to celebrate... because the World Cup spot also depended on

the outcome of another match.

Lee Ji-won reports.

It wasn't edge of the seat viewing,... but the job is done.

South Korea's national football team has booked their ticket to the 2018 World Cup,... following

a draw with Uzbekistan on Tuesday night.

Despite a number of chances,... including forward Lee Dong-gook's header that hit the

crossbar,... the match finished nil-nil.

The result marks South Korea's ninth consecutive qualification for the World Cup,... after

a nail-biting end to the Asian qualifying round.

While Iran had already cemented its place in the finals, South Korea had to hold onto

second place in Group A, where it was only two points above Syria and Uzbekistan.

And with Syria's failure to beat Iran, the scoreless draw was enough for South Korea

to qualify with 15 points from ten games.

Although the qualifying campaign wasn't as pretty or easy as many fans had hoped... head

coach Shin Tae-yong vowed to show South Korea's footballing prowess at the World Cup.

South Korea will join Brazil, Belgium, Japan and 28 other countries in Russia next summer.

Tony | JOY Stories - Duration: 14:04.

- We have our ups and we have our downs.

We focus more on the ups because when you start

to focus on the downs, the high points start to go away

and you don't really notice them as much any more.

And so I call it a journey because it's exciting,

it's a learning experience, and it's really what my life is,

up and downs.

(upbeat music)

(gentle piano music)

- [Interviewer] Tony, we want to hear your story.

This is an opportunity to hear your story.

- I come from a family of a mother

who was a Sarasota police officer

and she was forced to retire due to an injury on the job.

All she had known what to do is to help fight crime.

And the Lord led her to adoption.

And so she started doing foster care

and one thing led to another.

She adopted four girls and two boys.

I'm the youngest of the clan

and we live a very happy life together

and love each other very much.

I was enrolled in a camp for endurance

and so I was all about speed and I would compete

in all these different races around town.

And I joined the camp, wanted to help myself grow better

in being able to last longer in sports

and become healthier and that is when I became sick.

It was at this camp and they said that it was cancer

and they had to take my entire kidney out

along with my tumor and that's where my journey began.

We didn't grow up with a father

so it was up to the older kids to help out

and keep the house going normally while we were gone.

The first surgery I had was a major surgery.

The recovery was so intense

and so the time of being initially diagnosed

was a very rough time for my family.

But from that time forward was a growing stage

for not only myself but for my family.

We turned fully to the Lord.

And that is where our journey started

to go back uphill for us.

We started to have realizations

of what the power of God can actually do for you and

how that changes people's lives

and how it's changed my life only

in the first several months of being diagnosed.

I went on a mission trip.

And part of the mission trip one of the things

that we were told might be a good idea

for us to do is to break out on our own

and have some alone time with God.

From that day, I started to have a daily prayer journal.

I go through a journal probably every two months.

And that's probably been one of the biggest things

that's helped me get through it.

Is being able to pray.

My prayers now are along the lines of how can I help others?

How can I share my story?

How can I be the better person

and glorify You while doing it?

Every single time that I have received the news

that I have been re-diagnosed, for the past seven times,

I have grown more worrisome

but yet I've stayed more calm.

Even though I've been dealt this very bad hand

I can still make something positive out of it.

I can go out and share my story, share my testimony

and how God's worked in my life.

I wanted a career in possibly acting.

Being dealt what I have, and having the power that I have

to communicate with people, is really a fantastic mixture

because now I can share my story with people

and give them a taste of how Christ has worked in my life.

And hopefully lead them to become followers

and believers of Jesus Christ.

When I was diagnosed I became familiar with the group

that's called the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation

and I started giving speeches and going about my life

helping them raise more awareness for pediatric cancer.

After that, one thing led to another

and I started doing more speeches on my own

and I was awarded an award in Tampa where it was called

the Tampa Sneaker Soiree Community Hero Award.

And I was recognized with all of these sports players

and I was kinda thrown in there

and I was in awe of all these people

that I had seen on TV, especially with the hockey players,

which was one of the biggest sports that I watched

while I was in the hospital.

And while I was there they happened to be receiving an award

for going to the Stanley Cup Final that year,

the Lightning players and the coach,

happened to come over and talk to me.

Since then my relationship has grown

with the Tampa Bay Lightning and I've been kind of inducted

in as one of their own, you could say, I guess.

I think that having relationships with people and going out

and sharing my story has opened up doors for me.

I ended up going to Washington D.C. to advocate

for a new bill that was being re-passed

and I was fortunate enough to share my story

where that bill did end up getting re-passed.

It helped a lot of kids, not just with cancer.

I would have never gone on that trip if one

of the sponsors from our hospital had never seen me

give a speech and hadn't seen what I'm doing

with my life to help others.

I've been fortunate enough that God has given me that gift

and that talent to be able to share my story

the way that I do and help others while I do it.

So the words out of options can mean a few different things,

I guess you could say.

So I was put into remission and told

that I was in remission in 2012

and then eventually I would have been told

that I was cancer free.

I lived a happy life, thought it was all done.

Unfortunately that was proven wrong

followed the year following 2013 February,

I was diagnosed again and told that my cancer had come back

and that I would have to start chemotherapy again.

We were told we didn't have many options.

We weren't sure what we were gonna be able to do.

Do surgery possibly, just get the tumors taken out

and see if it comes back.

So we did that and it came back almost immediately.

And we have been stuck with very limited options

on things we were gonna do.

My timeline isn't as long as

what we would have hoped it to be.

They said anywhere from less than six months or so.

And that the cancer was continuing to grow inside me.

From that moment I was put onto a hospice care.

I was treated at home for pain management.

My pain is intense.

I've been told it's more pain

than a normal person would be able to handle.

I can guarantee you that those prayer warriors

that I have out there praying for me are a huge help

in my life and a huge up put in my life

to help me continue to do what I do

and help me to continue to live

out my life happy and healthy.

So going through everything that I've been through

in the past six years, I've had some lows

and I've definitely had highs.

But the lowest of lows that I've ever had is

when I was told, you know, a time length

on possibly how long it would be until I'm no longer here,

until I get to go in heaven.

I have been fortunate enough to, I believe,

understand what it feels like to fall in love with someone.

It's very hard to be in a relationship with someone

and then be told that you're not gonna be here much longer.

And that that person will have to stay while you're gone.

The hardest part, I guess, would be having to leave

all of my friends and family that I have come

to great understanding and great love for.

I like to think of others a lot.

One of those things, is I'm gonna be so much happier

where I am but the suffering

that you guys will all have to go through

while I'm not here.

That's a big thing that I struggle with

and I worry about is that.

That's probably the lowest of my lows is just

leaving people that I love and knowing that

that time is possibly coming soon.

I've been fortunate enough to share my story many

different places and have many different people hear it.

I'll have kids that I've never even met,

I don't know who they are and they'll come up to me

and they'll ask me why did God do this to you?

Why did this happen to you?

And I get to explain my story to them.

I get to explain that I am fortunate enough

to get to share my story, my testimony with people.

That God is such a happy and uplifting spirit to me

in that He's helped me get through so much

that I've done.

Others don't realize how much they inspire me to do things

'cause I always hear the stories of how I go out

and I get to inspire others.

When in reality when I'm out there speaking to others

and I get to see their faces and the stories

that others have brought back to me

that really inspires and lifts up my spirits as well.

You really understand how much friends actually mean

to you and you understand what a relationship

with a friend can actually, how it can help you.

I didn't realize that until after I was diagnosed,

how much the simplest gesture of a sixth grader coming

over to you and asking you hey, do you want to play

with my Rubik's cube or look how fast I can solve

my Rubik's cube when you've been ignored for a while

because you look different than others.

You're not the normal sixth grader.

You don't have hair, you look sick.

You have to have a backpack that's on wheels

because you can't carry it because you're too weak.

Everyone in this world has been touched

by the disease of cancer.

And if they know how to recognize

and go about someone who has cancer than I think

that's all the more power to them.

So that's kinda my goal in life is to make sure

that everyone understands that kids with cancer

or adults with cancer are not any different

than a normal person who doesn't have cancer.

So one of the biggest things that I would always say

to someone is just treat them

like you would treat anybody else.

Being invited to things again was probably the highest

point in my life.

Being able to be accepted again as a normal teenager,

even though I might be bald or have white hair

from a medicine that I'm on, or just look at my life normal

again that was probably the highest point is when

friends started to have realization

of he's not any different than us.

There's a song, it's called Shoulders

and that song has been a song that's always stuck with me.

("Shoulders" by For King and Country)

♫ I look up to the mountains

♫ Does my strength come from the mountains?

♫ No, my strength comes from God

♫ Who made heaven, and earth, and the mountains

- The very first thing in one of the recorded versions

of that song is I look up to the mountains

and then it says that God, God is the one who,

I'm on His shoulders.

And that is what has really walked me through my life.

I mean this isn't me.

I'm not doing all of this myself.

It's not all about me.

I don't live this life for myself.

And that song has really been inspiring to me

and that's just been the one song

that I've always listened to whether it be with friends

and family that I've, you know, maybe bothered them

a little bit when I play that song too much

but that's just a song that I always have to listen to

if I'm ever feeling down.

♫ My help comes from You

♫ You're right here, pulling me through

♫ You carry my weakness, my sickness,

♫ My brokenness all on Your shoulders

- When my life comes to an end, my story is done.

The legacy that I feel that I would want to leave

behind is having people know that I've helped other people

and that people know that my story was a story of success.

It wasn't a story of failure or illness or disease.

It was a life of happiness and having a very prosperous life

and living life to the fullest

and enjoying my life even though I've been dealt a bad hand.

- Toner Joseph Colton, age 17 in Sarasota, Florida

passed away peacefully surrounded

by his loved ones on July 30.

Although we are deeply saddened by the loss of his life

here on earth, he wanted us to be happy and joyous today.

I heard him say multiple times this is the life God gave me

and I wouldn't change it for anything.

- Overall, the legacy that I want

to leave is just having others know

that success and happiness can come from bad and sorrow.

(dramatic symphony music)

Cornwall Capers, series one - episode 10: National Trust tasters #1 - Duration: 13:34.

you

check-in time rip in your bottom toilet

then I hope all we can go down with this I will just go down here because I don't

want to go down to go down here

so we're here we made it that was very shocking that's the point did I get any

change yes I did that's all right pay dirt two pounds

yeah I came from fiver what you ain't gonna be any change that as you can see

I didn't know if you can see that these love you

stunning you do need to be fairly able for example I don't think I'm going to

be able to go over there as a lookout point and sir steps and things going

down

more steps right there you go and they are slowed it's quite good and

we're going to look round the corner I think

yep as a side

so what we going in there hello there run yes are you going wrong yeah what we

usually do is we take you into that okay doing just did you go into the gate

they're goofy some definitely put the ramp down it's true

better be patient and then you come back or because we love starts off in the

garden right away I don't mind I'll do anything I just

have a look yes about death yeah okay I don't keep your card oh yeah go find you

again there thank you that's wonderful

now I'm will around

please come through very nice quicksand around well that's as far as you can go

wicked or Bursley this is the step here so you can't go any further

we're on the green area to go in the store them then what came that is

actually maybe somebody from turn way or being like but come a ball thing over

there and look slightly the well

over there some total well coming up yes

I'll come and meet you okay so your round here and it is the post office

those post box

very narrow is nothing that's it really Oh Isabella oh well done very good okay

no problem no right yeah it's cool I'll have a look yes just try and get

yourself back out of the way so here smoke everyone's in connect together

sardine thing so you know that's all that fresh sighs oh I don't want French

I can't I kind of read French so it's not that well

right there is National Trust property in kornel is more is in more wind Stoke

more when Stowe is near to Butte or rather it's not near Newton it not near

these spy long way out and we have a slight issue with this pathway

quite bumpy and I don't know if we can get to the destination we're going to

reminds me of the beach we went to

go down so failed because we can't get through the gate and we have look at the

gate look at the gate there is a one-way opens up one way you have to go through

and then shut the gate behind you basically the other gates are locked so

there's no way that we can go through and where we would be going would be

down down here down that sort of bumpy grassy pathway and then round the corner

apparently there's a there is a building oh it just say I read this I'm ready

sign if you have a mobility vehicle or push there for which you need access

through the gate akley is available for loan from the rectory tea rooms and a

circular route from here at Toolik lifts bathroom turning by farm tract the

button is possible by mobility vehicle so the key is and but I just spoken to

them and I asked them that's why I've come down here but of course leaving no

they weren't aware that I had a scooter so unfortunately the actual the

young what we call it were legal it directory key room which is but there is

actually as I was speaking to her they were just shutting up shop and I

asked what was down here but Oh cuz I was they were stood up and so it wasn't

on this but if you are coming here then you can borrow a key and go through the

gate here to lose a padlocked gate and probably down the only way there on the

left hand side there is a driftwood built up structure which is a hawker

orchid hut walk over there pass entirely Victorian parson overlooks the sea and

obviously up here we are quite high up and so the Lancer dropped away to the to

my right here it's very typically Cornish coast line

Drizzling in capital, heavy rain down south coast - Duration: 1:39.

Hello I'm Michelle Park here with the weather update.

We're having humid conditions nationwide today, accompanied by rain in the afternoon, but

the amount of precipitation as well as the humidity have been bearable.

The southern provinces could be seeing more showers until tomorrow morning while the central

region can expect the rain to let up by tonight.

It's drizzling in the capital area right now, while a large vapor front is flowing in from

the southwest side of the peninsula, which will gradually turn into heavy precipitation

of up to 80 millimeters on Jeju and the south coast regions.

We start off with another cool morning tomorrow, with Seoul waking up at 19 degrees Celsius

and Daegu and Busan at 19 and 21 degrees respectively.

Following the rain, the daytime highs are expected to get a boost, with Seoul topping

out at 28 degrees while Gwangju and Busan both reach 26 degrees.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.

COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS | Sweet/Spicy Brussel Sprouts | Road to PRO | 10 Weeks Out - Duration: 6:43.

so this is Lucy. if you don't know her you'll get to know her. Lucy likes to

steal the show in case you couldn't tell.

this is actually her Channel. Not mine!

so hello and welcome to my channel if this is your first time visiting, hi and if you are returning

well hello again I would love to connect with you more so hit that subscribe

button type of comment below introduce yourself

let me know your watching and what you'd like to see more of let's get to know

each other so we're picking up I am ten weeks out for my first ever Pro bikini

competition. now I did one back in May that you might have seen and that one

was my first ever show so this is really only my second show and I'm already in

the big leagues so I'm not gonna lie I had a little mini freakout the other day

I was thinking of all the other competitors that will be there and how

everyone probably has more experience than me you know I just had to work

through getting out of that like not falling into the comparison trap so the

only thing that I can control is my actions so that means getting my

workouts in fueling my body with good nutrition continue to check in with my

coach continuing to practice my posing and I walking I actually signed up for

a program to help that part even more because I think that was what I felt the

weakest and during my first show was the walking and opposing I mean for crying

out loud I'm in five-inch heels I do well to stand flat-footed so I could use

the extra one-on-one like intensive coaching there so yeah I signed up for

that and and really just putting my best foot forward in in all these areas but

most importantly being the personal development not allowing myself to fall

into that compare and trap where you know I start having

these fears that because these women may have more experience (maybe they don't!) you

know it it doesn't matter at the end of the day because at the actual show,

you know, that's just a celebration of all the hard work we've put in prior to that so

my goal is over these next 10 weeks really just focus on me and being the

best the absolute best that I can be so that whenever I put on those heels and

that sparkly little gold bikini and you know my costume I can wear which I

cannot wait to share it with you more about I have some amazing ideas for how

to jazz up my costume but yeah whenever all that stuff finally comes together

and it's the big day I just want to get out there and have a freaking blast

that's what it's all about so really quick, there's something super exciting that

has been going on these past two weeks is the move+nourish community my

Facebook group kicked off its two-week tone up challenge and I get to announce

the winner I'm gonna go and do that tonight so if you are in the community I

am so glad you're watching this and I can't wait to share with y'all who won

as well as what everyone who participated will receive and if you're

not in the mood nourish community why aren't you I would love for you to

head over there the link is going to be in the description of this video so be

sure you head over to Facebook and check that out

we are the move+nourish community or all about having fun finding your tribe

connecting with other women and really just holding each other accountable and

supporting each other toward up our goals so I haven't store for you today

my favorite way to cook veggies now I'm not I won't lie I'm not a huge vegetable

lover all the time just like raw vegetables all the time

so I have to spice them up mix them up my favorite way to do this is to Roast

em so I'll show you what that looks like so with all that said let's head into

this episode
