Youtube daily report Sep 7 2017

Oprah and Stedman Graham have been together since 1986 — yet the pair has never walked

down the aisle, despite getting engaged a few years into the relationship.

Instead, they found their own groove and forged a bond that works for them, even if it may

look strange to outsiders…and may involve a lot of Gayle King.

Calling off the wedding

In 1992, Oprah and Stedman's engagement was the buzz.

We're talking cover-of-People-magazine huge, which is what happens when the "richest woman

in show business" reveals that she's getting married.

But the wedding never happened.

The pair stayed together, but it would take 20 years for Oprah to reveal why the marriage

went on permanent hold.

In an interview with Shonda Rhimes, Oprah explained,

"I was supposed to do a book at the same time and Stedman said he did not want to have his

wedding um… disturbed by all these people asking me about the book."

And after desperately wanting Stedman to want to marry her, Oprah admitted she didn't actually

want to have a wedding.

"So he said, 'We should just postpone this wedding.

I said, 'OK.'

And that was it.

And We have never discussed it again."

Un-wedded bliss

While the couple's relationship has withstood the test of time, the TV icon has become increasingly

adamant that marriage would have ruined everything.

In 2013, after being encouraged by close friend Tina Turner to walk down the aisle, Oprah

told Access Hollywood, "Tina was like, 'Oprah, you need to do this.

You need to do it.'

And I was just thinking, 'Well, OK, would things really be different?'

And no, I don't think so."

By that point, Oprah and Stedman had been together 27 years, so it's safe to say they

know what works for them.

Oprah said, "If you ever interviewed [Stedman], he would tell you that had we married, we

would not be together today.

Because he's a traditional man and this is a very untraditional relationship...If I had

the title 'wife,' I think there would be other expectations for what a wife is and what a

wife does...First of all, you've got to come home sometimes."

Appearances

Despite shooting more than 4,561 episodes over the course of 25 years, Stedman has rarely

graced the set of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

"Lemme just tell you, Stedman has only been to, in my entire career, I think three shows."

But before you jump to conclusions, Stedman's absence wasn't because he didn't support his

partner.

It was just the opposite.

According to the Cut, "In Stedman's words, he is a 'man in a relationship with a very

powerful woman' — and wants her to succeed.

Stedman lets Oprah do her thing."

Dirty laundry

In 2014, Oprah's former stepmother, Barbara Winfrey, began spilling secrets to the Daily

Mail.

This began after Oprah's father divorced Barbara and allegedly encouraged his famous daughter

to evict his ex-wife from their mansion — unbeknownst to Barbara, Oprah's name was on the mortgage.

Radar reported Oprah sold the place for $1.2 million in 2015.

And things got even messier when Barbara began spilling tea about Oprah and Stedman.

Barbara told the Daily Mail, "Stedman isn't a good steward of money and that suits Oprah

fine.

He is financially dependent on her.

He knows her secrets and she knows his.

Why would they marry now?

He's there at her beck and call.

He knows his role in her life."

Barbara also alleged that Oprah made sure a book written by Stedman became a bestseller

by buying a warehouse and filling it with copies she purchased herself.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

While Oprah and Stedman have been open about living independently, Barbara added some suspicious

layers by claiming she'd "never once witnessed them hold hands or kiss."

She then also alleged that Oprah told her she had Stedman followed, claiming, "Once

you're in Oprah's world, she owns you."

The Gayle factor

Even back in 1992, Gayle King was already a permanent fixture in Oprah and Stedman's

relationship.

In the People cover story announcing their engagement, King features prominently in the

event.

King was not only present for the proposal, but she also coaxed Oprah to appear on her

Hartford, Connecticut eyewitness report and break the news, which sent national news networks

scrambling to catch up.

While King is best friends with Oprah, it's really not that out of the ordinary for close

friends to witness a proposal.

But that hasn't stopped years-long tabloid speculation about the true nature of their

relationship.

As if that wasn't enough, Kitty Kelley's unauthorized biography certainly didn't help quiet the

rumors when it was published in 2010.

According to the New York Post, Kelley claims Oprah has had a series of "lesbian affairs",

attaching herself to Stedman to "appear more normal to her audience of housewives."

All of this stems from Oprah's tight relationship with King, which began when they were trapped

in a snow storm while working at a Baltimore TV station in 1976.

The besties even addressed the lesbian rumors in an issue of O, with Oprah saying, "There

isn't a definition in our culture for this kind of bond between women.

So I get why people have to label it — how can you be this close without it being sexual?"

King, who is an editor at O, also contributed to the essay, saying, "The truth is, if we

were gay, we would tell you, because there's nothing wrong with being gay."

Oprah echoed King's words, saying, "All my stuff is out there.

People think I'd be so ashamed of being gay that I wouldn't admit it?

Oh, please."

Mic.

Drop.

Tell-all

Not long after Oprah put out the fires started by her stepmother's interview with the Daily

Mail, Stedman's niece decided to get into the act by shopping around a tell-all book

about the famous couple in 2015.

According to the National Enquirer, the book would include "Oprah's alleged drug use, jealousy,

cheating, vicious gay rumors and explosive comments made by her dad."

A publishing deal was never inked, and the book never saw the light of day.

While one could assume Oprah and this niece probably came to a very lucrative agreement,

there's one other factor to consider: Oprah and Stedman might not be all about the drama.

Low key

While promoting what was supposed to be a juicy, unauthorized autobiography about Oprah's

life, Kelley's publisher provided a strange excerpt about how sources described Stedman

as, "Nice enough but boring as hell.

So boring."

While recalling a family vacation, former step-mom Barbara claimed Oprah and Stedman

spent the whole time just sitting around talking to King.

But maybe it's just that the couple is actually comfortable doing nothing special at all.

"I think people are fascinated

with the realtionship because you haven't seen him.

And when you see us it's really quite normal."

Whatever works

While their relationship might not seem conventional to outside observers, and they've raised a

few eyebrows by refusing to get hitched, there's no denying Oprah and Stedman have found an

arrangement that allows them to both be happy and successful in life.

And, really, that's all that matters.

Kimchi Fried Noodles ~ Spicy Korean Kimchi Noodle Stir Fry - Duration: 3:20.

This is one of my favorite satisfying and comforting Korean dishes. I'm Tess

and tonight I'm going to show you how to make kimchi fried noodles. (intro music)

Kimchi and noodles are two of my favorite foods and when you put them together, well it's

just a little piece of Heaven. These are the noodles I'm using. These are cut

fresh noodles and I found them at my local Asian market in the refrigerated section.

I'm cooking them four to five minutes per package instructions and

then rinsing them in cold water. You can use egg noodles, rice noodles or even pasta for this recipe.

And just a reminder that you'll be able to find this recipe and

the list of ingredients in the show more section below. I'm making sure that I

have everything prepped and ready before cooking. In my pan on medium-high heat

I'm adding in a little oil, minced garlic and ginger. Giving that a stir for about

20 to 30 seconds and then adding in my diced onions. Stirring and cooking for

one minute. In goes my roughly chopped kimchi with a little of the juice.

Stirring and cooking for another minute. I'm making a well in the middle and

adding in some gochujang. Just stirring and cooking the gochujang for a minute

and then mixing with the onions and kimchi. The gochujang is a hot pepper

paste and adds a nice heat level to this dish.

In goes some light soy sauce and some sugar to balance out the heat and satiness.

Cooking and stirring for a minute. I'm adding in a little water to

thin out the sauce. Cooking and stirring for another minute.

Next, I'm adding the cooked noodles into the pan and tossing with that wonderful

spicy kimchi sauce. Stirring and cooking for one minute just to heat the noodles

through and we are done! Serving the fried kimchi noodles with some chopped

green onions and sesame seeds. Did you forget about that fried egg?

You guessed it! Taking these kimchi fried noodles to another level with the fried

egg on top. I love the spiciness, saltiness and sweet balance in this dish.

The kimchi has a wonderful texture and flavor. The fried egg adds some

creaminess and richness. I could eat this every day... no kidding! I hope you give

this kimchi fried noodles a try and enjoy.

- The corpse found in the well... - Yes, sir.

Mr Yamamura.

No, it's not necessary.

I haven't seen her since she was a child, anyway.

The well was on the estate of Dr Heihachiro lkuma.

The place was sold 30 years ago.

Since then no one has opened the well.

It has been sealed.

Then there's no doubt.

It's Sadako.

But...

No 'Sadako' is registered in either Dr lkuma's or her mother's records.

What's happened to Dr lkuma?

He died, soon after the place was sold.

So I'm the only one left alive.

Please cremate her immediately.

It doesn't matter which family she belongs to.

I'm afraid we can't do that.

This is a very strange case.

One of the people who found her body is dead.

The other one is missing.

There's something else.

The estimated time of her death...

According to the autopsy, she died only one or two years ago.

What?

It means she was alive.

In the well, all that time,

for 30 years.

There's a story going around about a cursed video.

What kind of video it is?

The version I've heard is,

a scary woman appears,

saying, "You'll die in one week."

That's what I've heard.

It interrupts late-night TV,

Then there's a telephone call,

The late-night programme on which channel?

What I've heard is

some local channel in Izu,

- In Izu? - Yes,

Is it really a good idea to use this stuff?

Why not?

You'll die unless you make a copy and show it to others...

Yes.

I have to confirm that story with someone.

Have you heard from Ms Asakawa?

No.

The police called about her, too.

Yeah?

Excuse me...

Can I see Ms Reiko Asakawa?

Well...

She's not in at the moment.

There's a story going around

about a cursed video,

What kind of video it is?

The version I've heard is,

a scary woman appears,

saying "You'll die in one week,"

That's what I've heard,

It interrupts late-night TV,

Wait!

Do you know anything about Asakawa?

We haven't been able to contact her.

A man named Ryuji T akayama is dead.

T akayama?

Ms Asakawa's ex.

The police came once.

She's been away for a while.

Did they go inside?

No, not at the time.

Go ahead.

Ms Takano.

What is this?

A video tape?

Dad,

forgive me,

This is to save Yoichi...

Are you OK?

Last time I saw her,

Ms Asakawa asked me about the video.

It was a human interest story.

They don't give a single mother important reports.

Oh, yes, her boy.

I'll go ask the school.

Ms Asakawa?

She's not in.

This is the police,

Reiko Asakawa's father was found dead this morning,

- Mr Kadokura? - This way.

- Sir. - Yes?

- I'm Omuta, from Shizuoka police. - Thanks for coming.

Any luck finding the daughter?

None at all.

How about the body found in the well?

- We're rebuilding her face. - Rebuild...

As soon as we have her model,

we'll take it and ask around the area.

He found the body first.

Do you want to see it?

People don't normally die like this.

Was he making a copy?

Well...

We wonder if it has anything to do with this note.

DEAR REIKO, I GOT RID OF THE VIDEO.

THERE lS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

No good.

He's been absent for more than 10 days.

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Why are you looking for Ms Asakawa?

I want to know what happened to Dr Takayama.

I'll check a bit more.

If I find anything, I'll call you.

See you.

Yes?

Police, Sorry for calling so late,

I'd like to ask about Mr Ryuji Takayama,

Are you Mai T akano, who found his body?

Yes.

May l...

Please.

Oh, I remember Mr T akayama.

He taught maths.

Are you...

I'm his assistant.

I see.

Ms Takano,

have you ever heard of Sadako Yamamura?

No.

Shizuko Yamamura? Sadako's mother?

No.

Heihachiro lkuma?

No.

Ryuji Takayama and Reiko Asakawa were investigating something.

Is that right?

I don't know.

I see.

Today,

Reiko Asakawa's father was found dead.

He died the same way as Mr Takayama.

You know what I mean?

Please go.

They found the body in the well.

An unidentified woman, who died one or two years ago.

But the well has been sealed with concrete

for 30 years.

Can you believe it?

In the dark well, for 30 years.

Neither of her hands had nails.

They were all found in the sides of the well.

Probably, she tried to climb out so many times...

Please go!

Alright.

If you find out anything about Reiko Asakawa,

call me at this number.

I'm sorry,

but this is such a strange case.

What's it all about, the video?

I don't know.

No...

Do you live around here?

I can concentrate better here than in my room.

I see.

OK, it's rolling.

Let's continue. Three seconds...

So, you have to copy it

and show it to someone else within a week.

Otherwise, a week later, at the same time...

So there's an original video to make a copy from?

Yes.

Where does it come from?

I've heard that it's just there in the room.

Everybody has some videos they can't remember recording.

Among those tapes, they find a strange one.

- How would you know that's the one? - It's obvious if you see it.

- Has anyone seen it? - I know someone who has it.

They're scared, so they show it to each other.

It's going around among friends.

Have you seen it?

Is it possible to get me a copy?

OK.

Excuse me.

Work out a price.

Probably, Ms Asakawa was after these four.

A week after this date,

all of them died at the same time.

Hard to believe, isn't it?

This girl, Tomoko,

she was Ms Asakawa's niece.

A girl was with her when she died.

Kurahashi...

Masami Kurahashi.

What happened to her?

She's in the hospital.

She can't speak.

The hospital belongs to your university.

The doctor can't tell you anything about patients' privacy.

The questions should be on the area of his research.

Fine.

This way, please.

Ms Kurahashi!

How are you feeling?

Would you like to come out to the balcony for a change?

Doctor wants you to get some fresh air.

Are you still afraid of TV?

It's fine.

I'll bring a screen so that you won't see it.

OK?

Doctor,

they're here,

Hello.

I'm Kawajiri.

Please.

Our medical files are

different from others, because we attach photos.

Do you know why?

In case they run away?

That's right.

Illness can change the patient, even their family can't recognise them.

So we always take photos when they arrive.

But when we took photos of this patient...

...with our usual camera here...

...a strange image came up.

It's called 'spirit photography'.

Something in a person's mind affects the light and exposure.

There were similar cases in the past.

You mean, this photo was...

We also tried just having her hold a film.

This shows a character clearly.

SADA

You may think I'm a strange doctor.

All of my colleagues do.

Do you know Ryuji Takayama?

That's odd.

He's the only one who listened to me.

He was once in medical school, before he went in for maths.

You know he died?

What a shame.

You didn't even come to his funeral.

OK? This way, you don't have to see it.

No need to rush.

Nice and slow.

Take your time...

What's wrong?

Are you feeling bad?

Ms Kurahashi...

Take her to the treatment room.

Tomoko...

Tomoko...

Help...

Help me...

Help her to get up!

Are you OK?

Help me!

They said it was the first time she's spoken.

Are you going to continue Ms Asakawa's report?

Yes.

You'd better stop.

Why?

Just stop it.

Did the patient tell you something?

Wait.

Excuse me.

You'd better not tell anybody about it,

Such power you've got...

...it's no use to anyone.

Yoichi!

Are you Yoichi?

Where do you live?

You can't talk...

Go in there.

It's bare, isn't it?

Please.

I WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL. I'M HUNGRY.

WHERE WERE YOU?

So, you need to talk?

Do you remember a girl called Masami?

She was with Tomoko when she died.

Yes.

When she went near the TV in the hospital...

...a strange image came on.

What was it?

A well.

Only for an instant, though.

Was that all?

Yes.

You've seen it, haven't you?

It's fine, if that's all you've watched.

But don't watch it again.

Masami...

She couldn't speak either.

What are you trying to say?

If Yoichi goes on like this...

What can we do, then?

Lock him up in the hospital?

It's none of your business.

I'm sorry.

Please go.

Can I come back again sometime to see Yoichi?

...they can't remember recording,

Among those tapes, they find a strange one,

How would you know...

Oh, hi.

This...

Oh...

So you got it.

20,000 yen, was it?

I...

...I watched it last night.

What?

Mr Okazaki... you'll watch it, won't you?

Of course I will.

There's no point if I don't.

Will you promise?

Of course I will.

Trust me.

Hey,

the money.

Please keep the promise.

Nice catch.

Here it comes.

Here...

Oh...

you're learning that already.

Hey,

why were you at the station the other day?

Was your mum angry?

Is anyone?

THE WOMAN WITH LONG HAIR.

Dinner's ready.

Go and wash your hands.

I thought he won't speak

because he's blaming me.

Deep down in his mind.

That's not true.

When we came back from my dad's,

the TV switched on automatically, as Yoichi went near.

Could you talk to Dr Kawajiri about it?

If Yoichi is...

really...

You've met Reiko Asakawa.

I didn't call him.

Okazaki, the assistant director, told me about the patient.

He should be here any minute.

So...

We're going to try an experiment.

It may help the boy as well.

Come in.

This way.

What are you trying to do?

It's normal tap water.

The paper absorbs...

...well, about that much.

Do the same as before.

Concentrate on the water.

That's enough.

The water's changed.

Some kind of energy was transferred from her to the water.

It also explains the film exposure.

It's all about energy transfer.

Eventually all the energy should be transferred from her.

The experiment is to prove it.

Please.

- Are you trying to video it? - Yes. You've seen it, right?

Don't do that!

- That image of a well... - A well?

Everyone who sees it dies!

But you look perfectly fine.

Get ready.

Oh, Okazaki!

This is a brand new tape.

Could you set it up for me?

Masami...

this experiment is dangerous.

If people see it...

There's something in my head...

Set the tape, quick!

Even if there is such a video, videos don't kill people.

Fear kills.

If I can prove this, we can eliminate the energy of fear.

Free the fear.

Go out if you don't want to watch.

No.

Let's start.

Do the same as with the photo film.

Relax and look at the camera.

What's that noise?

That woman...

Doctor!

Ms Furuhashi!

Ms Furuhashi!

What are you doing?

There were a lot of calls.

"It's a week today", or something.

That girl with the video, isn't it?

I'll call her.

- Goodnight. - See you.

Hello, this is Kawaguchi,

Hello, Kanae?

Yes,

It's Okazaki.

I watched the video.

Oh, I'm relieved,

I've been worrying,

You don't trust me.

Because it's almost the time,

Listen...

you know, that strange woman.

You mean, the one in the mirror?

Hello?

Um? Yes, that one.

Didn't it look like it changed to a child for a second?

And the well at the end...

Where's the video now?

I threw it away,

Because it's really...

No one should watch it anymore.

But you can't stop it,

You'll show it to someone, won't you?

Mr Okazaki...

you have to show it,

I don't want you to die, Mr Okazaki.

I know.

- See you then... - Yeah.

The woman in the mirror.

REPORTER DIES WITNESSING PSYCHIC TEST.

It's the public demonstration by Dr Heihachiro lkuma.

He was fired because of the demonstration.

THE FATAL EXPERIMENT

MS SHIZUKO YAMAMURA, RIGHT, AND DR lKUMA

Shizuko...

Can you just will someone dead?

Dr lkuma talked about intention as a living thing.

The energy of thought itself can become substantial.

For example, to be on the video.

30 years in the well...

The concentrated thoughts of 30 years.

Her fury.

We've all seen it.

Did they die just by watching the video?

Takayama,

the father of Asakawa.

Why she involved her father...

The kid must have seen it.

Asakawa's kid.

He's probably in the same condition as my patient.

In that case, we can't leave him.

Where is Asakawa?

Tell me!

Hello.

Sanae!

Sanae!

Come with me.

Please.

This is just a routine interview, so please relax.

Oh, wait a moment.

Don't come,

Don't come, Run away!

Can't you hear me?

Go, run away!

What is it?

Mum!

Yoichi!

A monster.

A monster!

A monster!

Murderer!

Monster!

Yoichi!

Yoichi!

Yoichi!

Dad?

Dad!

Didn't we save Yoichi?

The boy you're holding is not Yoichi anymore.

Yoichi...

Yoichi...

No...

Stop it!

Don't!

OK,

Why can't I erase it?

Where did that story come from?

When people worry, rumours start flying,

In other words,

people hope things will turn out like that,

Sir!

What's the matter?

Let's go.

Do you see any resemblance to her?

It looks like her.

Just as eerie.

We'll take some photos.

That's enough.

Sadako.

Why do you keep me alive?

I made you and your mother into a freak show.

It was me.

Do you want me to return you to the sea?

Is that what you want?

Do you know the Yamamura house?

There are a lot of Yamamuras.

The one where a woman named Shizuko used to live.

Oh, that one.

THE YAMAMURA lNN

Hello.

This way, please.

Sorry. Did I wake you?

No.

Well...

Can you promise me something?

What?

No matter who comes to you,

don't do such a thing again.

That's terrible.

Are you on my side?

Yes, I am. Of course.

OK.

If you're looking for Sadako, I've put her in the sea.

That was all I could do for her.

Come to think of it,

Shizuko used to say the same thing.

She went off to give birth to Sadako,

all on her own.

She came back after the birth,

saying she'd put the baby away in the sea.

But the next day,

she had a baby in her arms.

That noise...

That's where Sadako was born.

This is called the Children's Limbo.

When the water is high,

it washes away all the unwanted.

Was Sadako's father...

Hello!

Yes?

Is Mai Takano staying here?

No.

At least you have a room, right?

Wait...

Sadako...

You are already dead.

You are already dead,

Oh, I'm so relieved.

Do you remember your dream last night?

In that case... think about your mother.

That's good.

Can I have a word?

He is controlled by

anger.

His anger summons Sadako.

He can't control it.

My equipment should arrive today.

I'll try to eliminate Sadako's energy.

"There's no such thing" as ghosts or the other world.'

Takayama always criticised me.

But Yoichi isn't strong enough to...

What choice have we?

What happens if the police come?

He channels the energy. A perfect medium.

I'll do it.

Do you have the same power as Takayama?

Yes.

It doesn't mean you'll do better as a medium than the boy.

What if I watch the video...

OK.

- Then all we need is water. - Water?

Sea water doesn't permeate as well.

We need a lot of fresh water to absorb Sadako's fury.

With this system,

you conduct the energy he generates into water, where it dissolves.

Then Sadako will disappear.

- OK. Are we ready? - Yes.

Take your place.

Come.

Remember, I'm on your side.

OK?

Let's start.

Close your eyes.

Remember what you saw.

What did you see?

Yes.

Both your father and mother died.

You are all on your own. What did you see?

Shall I tell you?

Your mother died because of her.

She betrayed her.

Yes,

it was my fault.

It looks good.

Keep it up.

Dr Kawajiri, this is...

...it is connected to the other world...

Sadako...

Sadako...

Take me...

...and kill me.

Take me...

...and put an end to all this.

Are you OK?

Don't let go.

Let me fall, and you'll be safe.

"Frolic in brine, goblins be thine"

Hold on to the wall.

I can't support you by myself.

Hold on to the wall.

Mai...

It's enough, it's over.

Yoichi!

Yoichi?

Yoichi!

Take him.

Sir...

Yoichi...

Give your fear to me.

Give it to me.

Give it to me!

Get away!

Take the rope.

Don't look back.

Paul Casto, In his own words – Bonus Short - Duration: 12:46.

(soft, minimal percussion)

I was raised by my grand-parents when I was a child.

My grandmother was Pentecostal.

She taught me what is right and wrong,

and she was a very liberated person back then.

She believed that everybody was equal under God.

Everything was created, was created by God.

If you wanted to go to church,

go into the woods and see what God had created.

She taught me... and this was a conflict later on,

God knows when you kill something.

He knows what happens to every creature on this planet,

and she taught me that. That's what I learned.

When I got in Vietnam, the first night of Tet was the first time

I was in a firefight, a real firefight.

I remember fighting and we ran into an old church and

they blew the wall down while we were in it.

And it was like, I remember standing there,

people on the other side,

and I remember just shooting at things,

just shooting at hats and I was good with a shotgun.

I remember thinking this thought,

I thought I'd never seen a pith helmet come apart.

These little helmets they had, they were strange,

and I remember I was busting them like clay pigeons.

I thought, you know, I mean, it was just knocking them,

and I thought holy mackerel, these are people - these are people

We fought our way all the way back down through the village.

We destroyed, we destroyed the village. It was artillery.

Artillery was coming right behind us.

And all this time, I'm watching this and I've just watched my

first American die, he was in my lap.

I am watching this and I saw what the Vietnamese did,

and I said Jesus, what am I in here.

Thinking, wow I gotta go through, I think it was,

nine more months of this.

(soft, minimal percussion)

And when you're in the hospital you know you'd see guys

and they would tell you what went on.

I had a lot of friends die. I felt guilty.

I felt like there was more that I had to do.

When I got over the second time,

it wasn't like the first time.

There was no winning hearts and minds. We were past that.

In an ambush I watched the guy die. I watched a guy go from

a living.... to bugs starting to enter his body.

I was face to face with him on the ground and

couldn't move because every time I moved

they shot a hole in my pack.

Maybe five days, they overran our position and

that's when I got blown out of a hole.

When you make a fighting hole you dig out the very

bottom and you slope everything to that very

bottom so that if a grenade goes in your hole

you kick it in there and it doesn't blow your feet off.

Okay, you raise up and it blew me out of the hole.

I remember going up in the air.

And I got malaria right at the end, I had malaria.

We were still fighting. I was sick.

I didn't know what was wrong.

Guys were giving me their fruit and their juice.

It didn't help. I couldn't get it down.

I couldn't get water down.

It would come right back out my nose.

Corpsman went over to the captain and said look if

we don't get him out of here now he'll be dead, he's dead.

He says, you've got to get him out of here.

(soft piano chord)

While I was on the hospital ship just before they medivacked

me out, all the guys from my company started showing up,

the ones who were still alive.

They completely overran my company.

And thirteen guys or fifteen guys walked out of there out of a hundred -

we had a light company, probably had 120 some guys.

I go to the wall and I look them up, they're all there.

(soft piano music)

When I got home, I didn't want to see anybody.

I had this terrible time. I drank a lot.

I could be violent. I got to the point that it was scaring me.

It was a lot of my problem because I was afraid of

what I would do. And so that's when I started,

I met with other vets and we talked and we started trying

to understand what was happening to us and to everybody else.

You question in your mind how can I do those things?

How could I be that terrible?

And you question it until you never get an answer.

You never get an answer when you're by yourself.

(soft Asian-like music)

You had a lot of people coming to West Virginia because they

wanted to stay in college because they didn't want to go

to Vietnam. And I had no problem with that.

I didn't want anybody to go to Vietnam anymore.

I think that everybody should serve their country

but there's a point that serving your country

isn't committing suicide.

I felt we'd already passed that point.

People had gone to Vietnam, if you were in an infantry outfit

you were going to die or be wounded or be

scarred for the rest of your life.

The definition for PTSD, it came from clinical

psychologists studying veterans from the Vietnam War.

Traumatic brain injury, you know I was diagnosed

with traumatic brain injury about six/eight ago.

How long as it been since Vietnam was over?

But they didn't have the tools.

They couldn't look; they couldn't see.

It was a lot simpler when my wife was around

because she understood. My wife was as much a Vietnam veteran

as I am, because she saw it.

I don't dream anymore. My mind quit.

It said "Don't dream." Because the nightmares were so awful.

So when I start to have a dream, I wake up;

so therefore, you don't get the deep sleep because

you're always stopped at that REM level.

I get three hours of sleep a night.

I check and recheck my locks on my doors and windows.

I look outside. I want to know what's out there.

I'm very wary of things.

Sometimes concentration's a problem.

Being able to concentrate on what you're doing.

And that's not an isolated thing.

Most people have that that served.

The deja vu's are many - helicopters, diesel fuel.

And you deal with it in different ways.

You either deal with it by facing it or

you deal with it through drugs, alcohol or

just by by not talking about it, until you explode.

What you want to prevent is people being put in

that situation - period.

You've got to arm people with the lessons of

history or they'll repeat the same mistakes.

And we sure did in Iraq.

Story Wall - Leah - Duration: 1:53.

I've been coming here since the daycare program. I remember I was in love

with the dinosaur toys. I hogged the dinosaurs basically while the other

kids played with the Barbies or something. I don't know. I found my

way around campus by using the app Pokemon Go because I'm a total nerd

and I love to catch them all. Basically, Moraine Valley has a ton of

Pokey Stops which are shown with the blue stops, like, here. And they tell you

like, for example, the Moraine Valley Community College G building is a

Pokemon stop so I use that as a guideline, so when I walk in that

direction, I know where I'm going for class and such. It helped a lot especially when

I was trying to find quicker routes to my classes. For example, I have a COM- 101

and College 101 which are located in the A Building, so I go to the library which

has a Pokemon Gem and use the stairs and then just head down the hallway from my

class instead of trying to navigate inside the

building and go upstairs and figure out which direction to go. I was into Pokemon Go

by my brother, not exactly Pokemon Go, but Pokemon in

general. It was influence from my older brother because he was into the boys

stuff and that kind of got to me because I get his hand me downs.

Moderate Means Program at UW School of Law - Duration: 0:42.

Hi my name is Susy I'm a 3L.

I've been with the Moderate Means Program for two and a half years.

I joined the Moderate Means Program to gain client interviewing experience.

This program is great because you learn how to communicate with different types of clients,

how to spot the issues in the clients' stories, research the law and apply the law to the issues

All of these skills have helped me gain more confidence in my legal abilities, especially

during my externship with King County Public Defenders Office this summer.

I recommend this program to anyone looking for practical legal experience.

Motospeed CK101 Mechanical Keyboard - Unboxing & Review - Duration: 6:32.

Today we're gonna check out another budget mechanical keyboard from Motospeed.

This time it's the CK101.

I picked this one out because I thought the images might catch some people's attention

because of how it looks, and I want to make sure people know what it's all about.

Thanks to Banggood.com for providing this keyboard for review and their continued support.

Links will be in the description.

Opening up the box we have some paperwork including the user manual.

We have our micro USB cable, so it's detachable which is nice.

A plastic ring keycap puller.

And finally the keyboard itself.

So straight up there's no doubt that they've gone for a particular aesthetic here, being

like the older Apple keyboards with this cylindrical shape at the back which props up the keyboard

and gives it some elevation.

They even have the circular pieces on the ends which look like buttons, but they're

just there for show and don't do anything.

Although the reason the Apple keyboards had this was to house the batteries because it

was a wireless keyboard.

But as we can see here, we have our micro USB port on the rear, because it is not a

wireless keyboard.

There's nothing really wrong with this, but it's a design feature which will catch

the eye of some people browsing for keyboards, and might pull some in.

The one I have here is all silver, so again, mimicking an aluminium build.

Although this also does come in black.

The silver on top is in fact metal, and is the typical aluminium plate that everything

is mounted to.

However the bottom is plastic which is painted silver.

And it's kinda a weird sensation where you get what they're trying to do, but it comes

off a very cheap feeling and cheap looking, and really does detract from the whole feel

of the keyboard in my opinion.

The body itself is actually quite thin, and it's sporting a low profile floating key

design, so the switches are slightly exposed.

It would have been pretty interesting to see the board without the bulge at the back, and

just have it as a minimalistic keyboard, because the rest of the shape is quite nice being

simple and rectangular.

The keycaps are the standard shine through ones that have the gamery typeface on them.

They're pretty difficult to avoid with these types of keyboards, as unfortunately it's

just bcome the standard.

And these are doubleshot ABS keycaps, so the clear legend is another piece of plastic so

it will never fade away.

On the bottom we just have the 2 flat rubber feet for non slip.

And there is no flip up feet, because it already has its fixed angle of elevation.

This is a tenkeyless keyboard, so we're just missing the numpad on the right hand

side.

As always, it's nice to save some space if you don't absolutely need the numpad.

And this also has a completely standard ANSI layout, so replacing keycaps will be absolutely

no problem.

This is available with Blue's which are clicky, and Red's which are linear and is

what I have here.

So there's no tactile bump or click, and is just smooth all the way down.

And these have Outemu keyswitches, so as expected, they're not so smooth and you can feel that

bit of friction when pressing the keys.

Now to the lighting.

This is marketed as an RGB keyboard, and while it does have red, green, and blue, it isn't

true RGB in that you can mix them.

It is limited to 7 colours, but I feel it's good enough if you just want to pick a singular

colour to match your setup.

I personally like to use white backlighting on my keyboard, but it does have quite a purple

tinge to it.

There's also a bunch of modes and effects that you can play with.

The rainbow effects are actually pretty smooth on this keyboard despite only having the 7

colours.I've tried similar boards that are much more jarring.

And there's also profiles in which you can make your own lighting profiles which may

be useful for identifying particular keys in various programs.

Opening up the keyboard is pretty easy with a couple of Philips head screws on the top.

Here's the plastic bottom shell and it's pretty simple.

There's a bit of ribbing on the bottom surface for reinforcement, but it's really the cylinder

at the back which reduces the amount of flex it would have.

And as we can see, it is coated in silver but doesn't cover the whole inside which

doesn't matter at all.

The mounting plate is aluminium and is about 1.6mm thick, and is again the usual for budget

boards.

The PCB looks clean and looks to have no issues.

The SMD LEDs are on the other side, but yeh, nothing really of note here.

Overall it's honestly more of the same from Motospeed.

It's basically just another shape or enclosure that's been added to their tenkeyless lineup

without actually adding any features.

The build reflects the price.

It's very lightweight with the plastic base and 1.6mm thick aluminium plate, which is

standard fare for these types of budget mechanical keyboards.

So what it really comes down to is the looks.

If you like how it looks, then I guess it's something to consider.

But you're absolutely spoilt for choice in the budget market, with many having very

similar types of construction.

But I don't know, it just feels cheaper than the others and is almost toyish, mainly

because of the very plasticky bottom shell which tries to mimic metal.

Although it does have its multicolour lighting which is RGB to an extent, but is limited

to 7 colours.

And it does have a bunch of lighting effects and modes, but it does look pretty good in

my opinion, and you can always just pick your singular colour.

This does also comes in the Blue clicky switches as said before, which are actually a pretty

good switch.

But the Outemu Reds are pretty scratchy.

Thanks again to Banggood.com for providing this keyboard for review and their continued

support.

It actually Banggood's 11th annivesary, so they'll have specials and stuff, so keep

an eye out for that.

Cityscape Painting - Duration: 17:16.

Underpainting is made with transparent oxide red.

Liquin is added to speed drying time.

Keep liquin ratio low.

Wash may be thinned with gamsol.

Wash is wiped back with a rag. This is optional.

I start by marking halves, then quarters.

I don't care about making it exact, just close.

Starting with the main verticals and horizontals.

Finding the start and end points first helps to draw a line.

Unlike a "pickout" painting, I'm not going for a finished look.

I just want the rough placement of big shapes.

I decide to leave the car out. It will just be a distracting blob at this size.

It's not worth blocking in the wires all the way.

Good enough to start.

Painting is dry because of liquin.

Ivory Black

Pthalo Green

Alizarin Crimson (and Terra Rosa)

Cad. Red Light

Cad. Orange

Cad. Yellow

Yellow Ochre

Lemon Yellow

Titanium White

Walnut Oil (as a medium)

Gamsol (to clean brushes)

I decide to make the horizon lighter than I see to push it back in space.

Top of sky color will be closer to the reference.

Sky should be interesting, but not the focus.

Ignoring the pole for now.

Adding some vertical strokes that will mirror the future poles/chimneys/etc.

Knife makes great edges, but always needs a little cleanup.

Edges are painted over a little to keep them from looking "cut out".

I love this door, but it isn't the focus.

So I want to keep it loose.

Pole is now re-established.

Wires are only indicated.

Painting the whole wire overpowers the composition.

I love when wires have lots of edge variation.

Fix the tangency I just created.

I like my signature to be subtle.

Complete.

Jak podkreślić brwi w kilku krokach? How to do your eyebrows step by step? Makeup tutorial - Duration: 1:42.

Hi! It's aga Wilk. Welcome to my channel called „The Beauty Runway"! Here is a next video from BASICS!

I'm going to show you how to easily groom and enhance Ola's eyebrows, so they would look beautiful and natural.

Out first step is to brush the eyebrows.

For this I'm using an eyebrow brush from Sephora.

It has two ends, one with a brush and the other with a mascara wand.

I brush the eyebrows upwards and sidewards in outer directions.

After brushing the eyebrows I can see the spaces I should fill in.

I may do it with a shadow, gel or pencil.

oday I've chosen an eyebrow pencil from NYX- it also ends with a mascara wand and is available in many shades.

I draw „missing hairs" with a fine gentle strokes and then I brush the eyebrows once again to soften our arches. I try to maintain the most natural looking effect.

Our last step of eyebrow make-up is to fix them.

For this I'm using a transparent eyebrow gel. It will ensure the eyebrow will stay in place all day :)

Et voila!

If you have any questions or if there is anything you have a problem with and want me to show you how to deal with it, don't hesitate! Leave comments below!

Subscribe to my channel! Make sure you will always be up to date!

Thank you for watching and see you next week!

Bruce Lee Documentary - Wing Chun Analysis, Ep1 (Subs) - Duration: 11:35.

Today, after the request of many of our friends...

we will try to create a video,

in order to explain and present...

the actual picture of Wing Chun,

in a real fight.

And in order to do that we will use the help...

of the well-known Bruce Lee,

who made the system, known worldwide.

Who in everything he does...

in his movie fight scenes,

he clearly uses...

the principles and rules of Wing Chun.

The fact that he uses Wing Chun...

is not obvious at first sight...

to someone who doesn't know the system in depth.

But we will prove that all he does is clearly Wing Chun.

First of all, we have to say that...

historicaly, Bruce Lee's formal training was that of Wing Chun...

as student of Wong Shun Leung.

Typically he was Ip Man's student.

But ultimately his main teacher was Wong Shun Leung.

So, when he went to America...

what Bruce Lee, very well knew, was Wing Chun.

Many people...

do a mistake by thinking that Wing Chun is staged.

So while they watch Bruce Lee's videos...

they think that Bruce Lee does something different than Wing Chun.

Wrong.

Real Wing Chun in battle...

is completely free.

- It can be expressed freely -

and it appears staged only during training.

While someone for example is learning Wing Chun...

it obviously has set up stances...

in various exercises.

Since the purpose of our training, is to develop muscle memory.

But during the fight it is totally free.

And in order to understand this even better, we'll give an example.

As an example of a staged situation... (A staged Wing Chun)

is the set up fighting stance.

So, many people think that Wing Chun...

uses this one as a fighting stance.

This is completely wrong.

Because in a real fight...

you never attack like this.

This is a novice fighting stance.

A begginers fighting position.

And it is a fighting stance we use during training...

to be able to develop various tools...

to learn basic footwork, etc.

Because in a real fight...

Wing Chun's fighting stance...

against an opponent...

Is this.

And if we are a bit further from the opponent...

our fighting stance...

Is this.

In order to show, how Wing Chun functions...

in an actual fight...

freely expressed...

we are going to use, Bruce Lee as an example.

In particular, we will analyze in todays video...

one of his fight scenes.

From the movie "Enter The Dragon".

The scene where he fights against Ohara.

In this attack Bruce Lee uses the move, well-known as "Pak Da".

He's executing it with lightning speed.

And the reason he is able to achieve this speed is...

that he aplies, two fundamental principles of Wing Chun.

He uses the fundamental principle of Wing chun, known as "Lat Sao".

Which is...

The constant forward energy, to the opponent.

This means, that when I decide to attack, it's prohibited to forearm.

I shouldn't forearm to attack.

I should have the tendency to use a forward energy.

This tendency...

when the hand of my opponent goes away, with the help of my "Pak Sao"...

shoots my hand forward.

With an instant automatism.

That's why the opponent, is not able to see it coming.

And that's why, during his attack...

Bruce Lee is very fast and his opponent is unable to realize...

his hand moving towards him.

But the "Lat Sao" is nothing compared, to what Bruce Lee entirely does.

The most important thing he does in this attack, is...

That he aplies another bacic principle of Wing Chun.

Which is...

"That everything comes from the ground".

In this case Bruce lee...

is using the rear leg, so as to give a torque to his front shoulder.

So this is how he does it...

Because his hip is linked to his thigh...

and his shoulder is tied up to the hip.

He pushes...

his shoulder with the rear leg.

As a result, he turns his whole body into a whip, doing the following...

That's what he does.

We have to turn, in Wing Chun...

as a result of expressing freely, during a real fight...

our whole body into a whip.

Inevitably, we are using staged exercises...

in which we pace...

and our back foot, is pushing us forward.

But this only necessary for our training.

In an actual fight, we will never stand like this.

But we will use...

as a result of free expression...

the torque created by the back leg.

Operating like this.

Here he uses the well-known "Back Fist".

The specific actions we use against the opponent...

are directed through the system of elbow and shoulder...

and not from our fist.

If we want in Wing Chun, to take an action against the opponent...

we never have our fist in mind...

but the direction of our elbow.

Therefore we have the hand movement...

known to those involved in the system...

called "Bong Sao".

"Bong Sao" is always heading straight ahead to the opponent.

The direction of the elbow...

goes forward to the opponent...

and not circular...

or upwards...

as many people use to perform it.

The correct action of the "Bong Sao" is forward.

The main purpose of this action, is to develop muscle memory.

So that, when it comes to a fight...

my actions will be directed from my elbow to the opponent...

and will be drifted, as a continuation, by my arm.

to develop even higher speed.

In this specific example...

we will try to show, how through a staged...

and I repeat... Staged for training purposes...

"Lap Sao" exercise.

We will try to develop, muscle memory...

in order to be able to direct our elbow to the opponent.

So, in that case, while we are doing the "Lap Sao" exercise.

We have to emphasize...

on our elbow.

So while he attacks...

I must emphasize on my elbow.

I emphasize on my elbow ...

I emphasize on my elbow.

In this attack, Bruce Lee, did a low hit to Ohara.

He then continued up.

Ohara intercepted.

And because Bruce Lee, had his "Wu Sao" in a low position...

he did "Under Lap"...

sweeped away the hand and continued with a hit.

In this point, Bruce Lee is using the most fundamental of all in Wing Chun.

That is, the expression...

"Becoming Water"

What do we mean by saying "Becoming Water"?

I'm starting an attack to my opponent...

and I don't care if he intercepts my attack or not.

I make my attack to John...

John intercepts my attack.

I don't care and move on.

I'm making an attack to John...

John intercepts my attack.

I don't care and move on.

I'm making an attack to John...

In order to develop the element of water, in Wing Chun, we have many exercises .

The most known of all is the exercise of "Chi Sao".

And by saying exercise...

we have to point out, that "Chi Sao" is an exercise and not a battle.

By doing the "Chi Sao" exercise...

we develop a tremendous sensibility.

So that we can transist, as quickly as possible, from one action to the next...

and become in the end like water.

Basically, Bruce Lee...

was a big fan of "Chi Sao"...

and that's why we see him achieve so quick transitions...

from one action to the next.

So this, was the third and last attack of Bruce Lee.

Today we've got a first taste of how Wing Chun appears to be, in a real fight.

At this point we must make some comments.

First of all, we must say, that in Wing Chun we are using all of our weapons.

What does this really mean?

It means that some people making a big mistake by believing...

that for example, Wing Chun doesn't have circular punches.

It definetely has circular punshes.

because the mechanics of them, are clearly described in our forms.

Clearly described in our forms, are also other movements performed by Bruce Lee...

consider by many as incompatible.

His low attacks for instance...

are included in our forms and specifically in the pole form.

There is also another big mistake, made by many...

believing that Wing Chun, moves only forward.

This people are confused by the fact...

that our weapons are moving forward.

It's the so called "Lat Sao"...

we've mentioned before.

But as a fighter, I'm not moving only forward.

I'm moving both forwards and backwards.

Depending on the situation.

In order to be able to move quickly back and forth...

I must use the free stance.

Because only with this stance...

I can move...

immediately...

Away from the opponent...

If its needed.

And in addition to that...

I can quickly approach my opponent...

if I want to attack him.

With all this said.

We've reached the end of todays analysis.

Until next time...

I salute you.

Tooth Extraction in New Brunswick NJ: Ethel | Oral Surgery Group - Duration: 1:08.

I had been referred to Dr. Stern by my dentist.

I previously lost a tooth by chewing gum, and the root was in my upper gum, and when

I got there, Dr. Stern examined me and said he would be able to do it right then and there.

When we were through, I felt very little discomfort from the extraction.

I have to go back to Dr. Stern to review, and the plan is, they'll be putting an implant

in, and my regular dentist will complete the process.

The staff was very personal.

Everybody was gentle and caring.

There's a large staff there; I was impressed.

I would recommend Dr. Stern for the way they treated me, for their efficiency, and that

they caused me no pain.
