Youtube daily report Sep 7 2017

Destiny 2's beta begins with the mission "Homecoming," in which the player has to battle through

a Tower under siege.

Beside a locked door that would otherwise lead to the lounge, players may linger by

the door and hear a warped version of Paul McCartney's, "Hope for the Future," which

was dubbed the unofficial theme song of Destiny.

Bungie has admitted that they have no clue what the Darkness was, despite all the bad

guys being "minions of the Darkness."

The sequel still won't define the Darkness -- in fact, they've entirely removed the

term "Darkness" from the game.

But Bungie promises that they have a plan -- and a definition -- for the Darkness so,

hey, maybe we'll find out in Destiny 3?

Comedians David Cross and Brian Posehn were asked by Bungie to punch up Ghost's dialogue

for the original Destiny.

The two were flown to the studio and there they wrote a series of one-liners to bring

some levity to the character, but none of the dialogue was used for the game.

Gone with the Tower is our beloved Purple Ball.

You'll find it's deflated remains on the steps of the Tower Plaza.

But fret not, the new social space, dubbed "The Farm," will feature a soccer --ahem

football pitch with fully functional goals while you wait for your buddies to finish

up their business with the Postmaster.

The original plan for the Destiny franchise was to support it with DLC throughout its

10-year run, but after a lot of trial and error with the first game, Bungie went for

the hard reset and even built that into the sequel's narrative -- thanks Gary!

This time around, though, Bungie is teaming up with Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios

to pump out DLC faster than you can go into orbit.

The Annual HowToGYST One Month Challenge 2017 | The Results! - Duration: 8:07.

Today I am giving you an August challenge update.

It has been quite a month!

If you have no idea what I'm talking about

I will link below to my August challenge video as well as my moving vlogs

because I live in America now

and it is weird.

Let's go.

[music]

Hi guys, it's Laura from 'How To Get Your Shit Together' and I help you get organised, get motivated, and challenge yourself.

'Cause who wants to live a life where they're not striving for something exciting?

This year, as part of the annual HowToGYST One Month Challenge,

I challenged myself to get to know my new home and my new area inside out.

So let's see how I did.

We left Ireland on August 2nd and we arrived in Cincinnati on August 3rd.

So here is a list of some of the things that I have done since we arrived:

Drove for the very first time on the right (i.e. "wrong") side of the road.

Sat and passed my American driving test. Hurray!

But you have no idea how awkward it was to get my actual licence.

Trying to prove your address when you have just moved to a new place... Nightmare!

Learned my way around the area.

I can now get to and from most local places without using the SatNav.

And I can also get to and from the interstate.

The world is my oyster.

Pumped gas here for the first time

and it was a disaster.

The pump kept declining my card and then I had to go up to the lady at the window and she looked at me like I was a complete idiot.

And I felt like one.

Opened an American bank account.

Did several grocery shops.

I haven't yet visited Target; that is still on the list.

I'm waiting until I pretty much have an entire day to do it.

Clipped a whole pile of coupons

So far, have used none of them.

Signed up for all of the loyalty cards.

Discovered banana nut muffins.

They are like crack.

Discovered they test tornado warning sirens once a month.

They are crap.

Joined the local library (it was one of my top priorities)

and I attended an event there.

Also, I have applied to host my own event there so fingers crossed for that.

Met some of the neighbours and their kids.

Lots of them are around Scout's age, which is great.

Set up the new house and bought new furniture for it.

And, related to that, went to IKEA.

Turns out, it's the same as in Ireland.

Maybe marginally bigger, but no better.

Went to the local amusement park where we met some Disney princesses, including Moana.

Opened a PO box! Details below!

Bought a robot vacuum and learned how to use it.

By the by, they are the best things ever.

I have called ours Rex.

Visited several local schools and finally registered Scout in one of them. She has just started.

Joined a new gym, but we have also set up a home gym in our basement

so I haven't actually used my membership yet.

But we got a good deal on it through Sam's work

and we're hoping to bring Scout there swimming because they have a pool so we're gonna keep our membership.

Found an international shop that sells some of the foods that I love from home...

and got lost in it.

It is huge.

Like everything else over here.

Posted my first letter by just leaving it in the mailbox.

We don't have that in Ireland. It's brilliant.

Screened approximately eleventy bajillion spam phone calls,

and that's after we signed up to that do-not-call registry thing.

We've just unplugged our phone now.

Set up my own home office. Just mine.

Not shared with my husband. Just for me. It's magical.

Bought myself some studio lights and some various other bits and bobs for recording.

Visited the local playground a few times.

Sampled local cuisine, Skyline Chili.

My husband managed to ask the waitress for a 3-way with a straight face.

Threw Sam a surprise birthday party...

3 weeks after his actual birthday.

Surprise!

Got myself addicted to Gatorade.

Met Thomas the Tank Engine. How many people can say that?!

Made good use of our new Amazon Prime account.

I can order groceries and some household stuff and have them here within 2 hours. It's mad!

I haven't actually done that yet but I have ordered lots of things had them delivered next day.

Learned that children here are required to have a physical if they want to attend school.

Experienced my first American storm, and it wasn't playing around.

[loud thunder]

Joined an online forum that's kind of like a message board for people who live in the local area

so that I can find out what's happening in the area, who's selling what, look for recommendations for good trades people, etc.

Oh lads, the list goes on and on.

Loads of other little trips around the area and loads of other things learned.

And that was on top of all of my regular work

so yeah, I packed a lot into this month.

And it showed in my sleeping habits because I slept really well this month.

I took on this challenge because I expected the move to be tough.

I expected to find it really difficult to adjust and settle into a new place

so I wanted to really throw myself into the experience,

to immerse myself in the new area and the new culture, and to find my way around as quickly as possible so that I didn't feel lost here.

But the strange thing is that, as soon as we moved into this house, it felt like home.

There was no adjustment period.

There was no time at which I felt that I was out of my depth or that I was faced with a problem that I couldn't overcome.

Yes, there were some moments where I was frustrated because I knew that something would just have been much easier in Ireland

but, overall, I think I'm doing well.

I haven't driven into the city yet, so that's going to be a little bit nerve-wracking when I do,

and I also have to find a good doctor, a dentist, and hairdresser.

But, overall, I would say I rocked this challenge.

Now, tell me, did you take on the challenge?

And, if so, how did you do?

If you are in my private Facebook group,

I have loved seeing your progress.

You have all done such a scarily good job.

You all just got stuck in straight away,

and it has been great to see all of your updates and your pictures.

If you were doing the challenge and you didn't get as much done as you had hoped,

just remember that you have still made more progress than if you hadn't challenged yourself at all.

So I'm gonna say it's high fives all 'round.

Good job, me.

Maybe you're so excited that you want to take on a new challenge for the next month. Go for it!

All I will say is that, like for August, try to stick to just one challenge.

Trying to do too many things will just dilute your focus

and, if you slip up on just one of them, that will demotivate you for all of the others.

Pick one thing and then, if you achieve it, pick another thing.

Remember, one step at a time.

If you try to run in too many directions at once, you will get nowhere.

Pick your Point A, get there, and then pick a Point B and work on getting there.

If you want to see lots more motivational videos to help give you that kick up the arse

then subscribe to the channel if you haven't already because I upload new videos every Thursday to do just that.

If you're on YouTube the button looks like this and you will find it down there.

And don't forget to click the little bell beside it if you want to get notified every time I have a new video up.

Until next time, go raibh míle maith agaibh agus feicfidh mé sibhse go luath. Slán!

Demo Riding a 2018 Trek Session - Whistler Bike Park Downhill - Duration: 7:39.

Alright you guys,

Trek Session

27.5

Doing a size medium. Let's see how this goes

This bike feels like a pretty good size. Might be a little on the smaller side but

Might be good

We'll see

So at Crankworx in whistler there are a number of bike companies that have their tent set up in the parking lot where they allow

You to demo some of their bikes for free for about an hour or two at a time

Some of the bikes at these different tents are 2017 versions

But the guys at the Trek tent said that these were the 2018 Versions.

So I was able to try out a size medium and was very curious to see how this bike would feel on the trails

Here we go it's always a fun line

Whoa loose

That's good, just felt a bit sluggish on those corners, but then again. This is my first run of the day

Brapping, full brap

This bike does feel kind of like heavy and bulky, I don't know if it's like the wheel size

Kinda yeah, it's a size medium. Yeah, it does feel on the heavy side force

You know and I think the fork is too stiff. I only used this much I all I did was like ninja cougar, karate monkey

frickin b-line

So I'm gonna soften it up

You ready

Whoo-hoo

Whoa-oh

Sendin -er

My back wheel's making noise

I have to say the bike did just kind of feel a bit sluggish it just felt a bit heavy hitting the jumps didn't feel bad

Or anything it felt fairly normal

I was totally able to jump and everything as you guys probably know I am in the market for a new bike and that's especially

One reason why I wanted to try out these bikes I especially want a DH bike

But I'm not too sure if I'm as much of a fan of the trek session though

It just felt a bit heavy, it felt a bit sluggish and that's really something

I don't want because I really really love

Handling and agility, and and I understand that I won't get that as much in a DH bike

but obviously I'll want as much as I can get it's definitely something I have to get used to and

I don't know. I just felt like other DH bikes

Just felt better than this bike honestly, so it was definitely a good experience trying it out

it just gives me more of an indication as to what I really want to buy and

I felt pretty good on the tech felt pretty solid didn't really have any issues whatsoever

Felt like I could just kind of comfortably shred down it without any problems

Okay my back wheel was like rattling. Oh, I just don't know what that sound was like when I had land hard something weird

Bit of a Whack, bit of a rattle

Yeah, I guess so I don't know otherwise it feels solid

Pulp Fiction. Whoa right on. Oh going a bit out of whack here

What the, oh yeah this one

Feels good, it does feel good. Hey you guys wanna brap in there

Am I bottoming out or what is this?

Yo watch out!

MAKE THE E36 GREAT AGAIN! #4 - M3 Bumper Paint & Door Panels - Duration: 4:33.

Okay so the disk is starting to be dead

About the patterns; we also finished the dashboard and trunk ones

So, the dashboard one:

̶1̶9̶m̶m̶ 19cm, it's better

out of 6 cm

and about the glass commands:

It is 28mm out of 46mm

It is all proportional, i calculated like, crazy

About the trunk one:

29,5cm out of 9,5cm

Both the panels are filed and ready to be installed

The two trunk pannels are filed and ready to be installed

And Paul is installing the the glass commands pannel

So while Paul will be working on the doors, hi Paul

- Hi it's me, Paul

- I'll be working on the bumper

Because yes, having a bumper is nice

But of the same color as the car, it's better

So we'll paint it

The covers are removed, the bumper is ready

The acetone and all the stuff too

and mister Paul is working on the door

Great

First, clean it with acetone

We're gonna apply the primer, it is told to shake it from 1 to 2 minutes so

here we go

Now we proceed to the paint, the real layers

We wait now

So we're between the first and second layer of paint

and mister paul just hang up

Here's the result

How nice does it look

We've got a little junk type cord here

Hello mister paul

There's not enough light here but here's how it looks for the passenger door

It basically is the symmetrical version of that

Anyway the masks are funny

Come on, let's go

second layer of paint

Last layer

Dude that last layer matters a lot

So this is the render of the diamondscwharz paint

-Color code 181 for the ones interested-

The third layer is done, there's only the varnish missing

Well it's not perfect but it's still something

I think with the varnish it'll be much less matte

compared to the car which is, glossy

We only need to apply one layer, it'll dry out during 24 hours

It's the last thing we do before we're done

- Here

It's not gross, the varnish does it all

Hello, i'm Japanese

So while waiting for the bumper to be dry, we'll wash the car

Voila, it is wet and washed

That anti-pollution mask on the air filter

Well she became japanese too

Nevertheless, it looks classy

And the finishing touch...

For real it should've been the blinker but we didn't receive it yet

We're finally done

So rendez-vous very soon, for a drift event with the new car

It's gonna be heavy stuff!

So you stay here

I don't even care

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

My name is Rikki Carman and I do Parkour in Volta.

Parkour is normally sort of a solo sport,

so it's crazy having nine people in such a small space.

We come up with an idea and we just try it

and then we scrap it and then we'll try a new idea

and we just find things that work.

We've had so many iterations because there's so many possibilities.

I've never seen a stage like this before.

It's like lifts going up and down,

a bridge and everything.

Those are all features that you never really would experience

being a free runner in the city.

We can be super creative

and we can approach the same obstacle in a different way.

It's just an amazing opportunity to grow.

Ask-Me-Anything - nex | powered by XMG - Duration: 2:04.

The first question is by mxyoCS

and he is asking

Which map of the map pool would you replace, and which on does need a rework?

I would like to see dust2 back,

because it is very balanced

and one of the best maps for myself,

individually seen

In my opinion, nuke needs a rework.

I think the map is not much fun to spectate,

and the community doesn´t like it that much as well

KillianMarcor is asking,

what resolution I am playing

At the moment I am playing full hd again,

I personally would not recommend it to you,

because it is a rather bad resolution, so

you should probably look for something different

PascalBrammen is asking,

How difficult was it, to get back into a professional team

after a 6 month break?

The team made it really easy for me,

interpersonally we match pretty well

and the only player I didn´t know yet, was Kevin(keev)

and I had already played with a lot of the others.

which a lot of people don´t know.

That´s why it was relatively easy for me.

SairoDeMan is asking

How do gob´s sandwiches taste?

Gob´s sandwiches taste really well, but

I don´t like sucuk and pepperoni(salami) all that much

and that´s why I don´t eat it that much.

Nooo energy is low...

I hate all of you, what are you even doing in here?

Get outa here, you dorks

FeroxRobin is asking,

What has been your best experience with csgo teams so far?

The best experience so far, defenitely has been

reaching the top 8 at the major

Because playing on the BIG stages has always meant the most to me and

I think the same goes for my team.

speedpaint : 30 FACTS ABOUT ME | Working for Takashi Murakami | My Ethnicity | Aikawa Eri - Duration: 6:03.

So the other day my friend suggested that I should talk about life in my speed painting

videos but I don't have a specific topic in mind so I'll just be doing the 30 facts about

me.

I should probably introduce myself first.

My name is Aikawa Eri, and I'm an illustrator from Japan.

I'm half Japanese, part Chinese and part Filipino.

I grew up living both in Japan and in the Philippines.

Mostly in the Philippines, basically, I go to Japan every summer because my father lives

here.

I was born in Yokohama, Japan, then we moved to Saitama, lived there until I was 4, then

came to the Philippines to study, because I think they thought it was cheaper there.

The first anime I watched was Tonari no Totoro.

I think I was 2 back then.

I love Sailor Moon, I grew up watching Sailor Moon.

I used to dress up like her, my dad bought me a wig that has a mic and a belt that connects

to the mic.

And say lines like.

*speaks japanese*

God, what am I doing,..

but yea those were the days...

In my elementary and high school years, I'm always the one chosen to join art related

contests, especially "Poster Making Contests".

I have a few but trusted friends.

I'm an introvert.

My favorite season is autumn,

I used to work for Takashi Murakami as an assistant painter.

I lived in 4 houses in my entire life.

I live in a house full of supernatural beings.

In my second house, there lived a family of unfriendly ghosts, and another one in our

front garden that is friendly.

My mom would bless the house, and one time called a paranormal investigator and she said

we had a portal in my parent's master bathroom.

My fear is when I have sleep paralysis.

I used to have sleep paralysis ever so often but it somehow stopped.

I'm not complaining tho.

In high school I used to be a huge j-pop fan, especially Hey! Say! JUMP .

My...as they say..."bias" was Yamada Ryosuke

And I actually went to their spring concert once, back in 2009 in Yokohama Arena, and

shook hands with Yamada Ryosuke.

I have a fascination for supernatural beings and I enjoy watching documentaries about haunted

dolls and houses.

I'm a cat person.

I'm a night owl, I'm not really a morning person.

I play the ukulele.

If given a choice between sweet or savory; I'll always go with sweet.

My favorite artists are James Jean and Mark Ryden, I met James Jean once at his book signing

in Nakano Broadwat, I gave him a present, a painting I did and he commented on my Instagram

and thanked me.

I was so happy that day.

And I also met Kim JungGi on the same day, and Katsuya Terada on a different occasion.

I'm a creature of habit.

I met the love of my life in college and we got married on Sept. 26, 2015

I have a very sensitive nose, meaning I could smell the faintest odor.

My favorite colors are pink, white, and black.

I am a huge Harry Potter fan.

My house is in Gryffindor, My Patronus is a Falcon, My Ilvermorny house is Wampus and

my wand is a 11 1/2 sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core.

I don't have a favorite music genre, I listen to jazz, blues, and rock...

but I'm not really into country music.

My top 10 musicians are...

I went to an art school and I majored in Painting.

And the last fact is...

I love the rain.

Oh and a bonus fact, I sleep while listening to ASMR.

My 2 favorite ASMR-tist?

I think that's what they're called..

NRI Q&A---September 7, 2017:Taxation For Returning NRIs - Duration: 8:02.

The tax aspects returning NRIs need to keep in mind

NRIs in the past have enjoyed tax benefits on income earned in India, they often want to know how the change in their residence status will impact their taxation

When NRIs return to India, there are two compliance or regulatory aspects that they have to keep in mind

First is FEMA or Foreign Exchange Management Act and the other is the Income Tax Act

The accounts that the returning NRIs have been holding in India will need to be converted into Resident Foreign Currency Account (RFC)

RFC account can be held by NRIs who have held that status at least one year prior to return

As per FEMA, there are only two status that are recognised. One is resident Indian and the other is non resident Indian.

As per the Section 6 of the Income Tax Act, three status is recognised. One is RNOR which is Resident Not Ordinarily Resident in India

The other is Resident and Ordinarily Resident in India (RoR) and then of course, is the NRI status

So, RNOR is applicable and you get the tax benefits on your return

Whenever you return to India, you start paying tax according to your tax bracket

Earnings from NRO account was already taxed at a flat rate of 30%

The moment it becomes a savings account, the earnings will be taxed

The money held in NRE and FCNR(B) can be converted into RFC or held till maturity

RFC deposits are applicable for people who have been NRIs for certain period of time

The tax status of RFC account will depend on whether the NRI has the RNOR status

You become RNOR when prior to the current year when you decided to return to India, for 9 years you held a non resident Indian status

Or, seven year prior to your deciding to return, you should have live less than 2 years or 729 days or less

Then, tax benefit is given for 2 years to those with RNOR status

So, the income from RFC will not be taxed for that period of time

Antonio Conte's midfield headache: Who starts alongside N'Golo Kante?

Chelsea's squad has taken its shape after the close of the transfer window last week. Several players moved out with a number of players also arriving.

Many young stars moved out of the club either on loan or permanently while some key players also moved out most notably Nemanja Matic. The Serbian midfielder was sold to Manchester United giving Chelsea problems in replacing him.

His qualities were very much utilized by Antonio Conte en route to Chelsea title triumph last season and his departure created a vacuum, yet to adequately replaced by performances of new midfield arrivals.

The Blues brought in Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco, signed Danny Drinkwater on transfer deadline day while keeping Cesc Fabregas beyond the summer.

Spoilt for midfield options now, Conte will have to put up a fine partnership this season against Premier League opposition, but we all know N'Golo Kante is a starter at Chelsea, don't we?. The question is, who starts alongside Kante?.

The French midfielder is one of the first names on Conte's team sheets every match day due to his enterprising displays. His work rate and quality in the middle of the park is almost unprecedented anywhere in the Premier League.

The diminutive midfielder does everything a midfielder needs to in a world class team. He tackles, intercepts greatly and has a good passing range in his locker.

His ability in midfield helped Leicester City and Chelsea to top flight title triumph in two consecutive seasons and will continue to start in the Blues team this season. But who is his best partner? Let's weigh the options.

The most experienced of the midfield quartet, Fabregas brings unto the table a wealth of Premier League know-how and array of weapons in his arsenal.

He adds a different dimension to Conte's midfield with his long range forward passes and the team would need his services to unlock stubborn defenses while Kante does his usual job of tidying up in midfield.

Fabregas has added a bit of defensive qualities to his already much acclaimed talent and is set to be trusted by the Italian manager this season.

A bit like Fabregas, Drinkwater is more forward thinking than Kante and would offer something similar to what the Spanish midfielder brings into the side.

Drinkwater is a mercurial talent though, as he couples his attacking attributes with some decent defensive ones. The England international was signed from Leicester this summer and is seen as better replacement for Matic than most of his rivals for the spot.

It was his partnership with Kante that helped the Foxes bully midfielders in their 2016 Premier League title winning campaign.

Their combination was hailed by most in England but after Chelsea split them with the summer buy of Kante, Drinkwater struggled the following season.

His arrival could spell another great partnership starting with their return to the King Power stadium.

The battling 23-year old showed more than promising talent last season with Monaco after the French giants moved within touching distance of making the Champions League final.

His all action displays puts him in hot contention to start games under Conte who prefers plays with such qualities.

Bakayoko has already featured twice for Chelsea since the start of the season and will hope for more minutes in his maiden Premier League campaign.

Who starts for Chelsea if Conte sticks with his famous 3-4-3 system this season? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments section below.

How Hope Affects Relationships: Expectations, Obstacles, and Sharing Optimism | Eshkol Rafaeli - Duration: 8:43.

My name is Eshkol Rafaeli.

I'm a psychologist and a relationship researcher from Bar-Ilan University in Israel, and I've

been involved with the Hope and Optimism Initiative for the past couple of years as one of the

grantees on the social science side.

This initiative funded a research project that we are nearing the completion of now.

It's a study looking at couples in the transition to parenthood, couples who are expected their

first child who we follow for a period of time, starting in the third trimester of pregnancy

all the way through at this point six months postpartum.

We're actually hoping to continue this work and be able to follow them through one year

and then two years after the child is born.

We do this work both because we're really interested in this population of couples in

this juncture of time.

It is so full of expectations but also fears and dreads.

So we're interested in the population and we're also interested in this quality of

hope and trying to see—through use of this population—to see something about the nature

of hope.

To try to understand something about, what hope is at the level of not just one individual

but in this case a couple or family, an emerging family.

We have three premises that guide our work.

Two of them are already underway and the third one is more of a future direction that we're

hoping to pursue.

The two that are underway are looking at hope as more than just a stable quality, an individual

characteristic that differentiates one person from another or maybe one couple from another,

instead recognizing that hope has this fluctuating component to it—that it could change over

time, that there are ways in which the stability or instability in it beyond just a set level

could be really interesting and important.

So this dynamic quality of hope is one thing we're looking at.

And we do that by having these partners, these couples, tell us about their hope, expectation,

and optimism repeatedly.

We do this both in the long range of things, so following them from prepartum through postpartum

over the course of these basically nine months from the third trimester through six months

after birth, but also for a period of time around three months after they give birth

we have them complete daily diaries for a period of three weeks where we look at fluctuations

on a daily basis.

We ask them to report their own feelings and to impute feelings about their partner so

that we'll be able to see how these things change from moment to moment.

So that's one premise or one idea that we have in our work.

A second idea that I alluded to earlier is the idea that hope is more than just an individual

characteristic, that there's something about it that could be interesting to explore or

to understand at the level of a system, a dyad in this case— a pair of people.

We're curious whether hope is contagious.

For that you need these two people's reports of their own hopes to see whether one person's

hope affects the other over time.

We were wondering whether it's compensatory, whether the presence of hope for one could

carry them through difficult periods like the sleepless days that come after birth or

the prepartum period where there's often a lot of anxiety about what this will be like,

what parenting will become like.

Is it enough for one person to have hope for both partners or do we really need it to be

high for both?

Those are two premises that we have the data for, at least in part.

We're still waiting for the last of those couples in our sample to complete the three

month and six month postpartum, but thankfully all the people that we recruited in this study

have, by now, given birth to healthy babies which was a relief.

And we've been starting to look at the data mostly from the prepartum phase at this point.—so

the data before the child was born.

And we saw some interesting things already.

One of them is that it seemed that it's the expectant mother's hope much more so than

the expectant father's that seems to have effects both for these expectant mothers themselves—their

sense of relationship satisfaction, their sense of wellbeing in the world was tied to

their own hope—but so were their partners'.

So the women's hope seems to have both a direct effect on their own feelings, wellbeing,

satisfaction, and on their partners.

And we didn't find the counterpart effect from the men's hope.

In other words there's something about this period, maybe—we'll have to see whether

it's just this period—that gives extra weight to hope on these expectant mothers

more than the expectant fathers' side.

One of the things we want to explore is whether this will shift, maybe even flip over or at

least balance itself out postpartum.

We think it might.

We think that there's something about the kind of experience that expectant mothers

have that just by the sheer fact that they are the one carrying the baby that makes them

much more connected to thinking about what parenthood will be like, thinking about the

baby, and that the fathers, is in a sense, may not be quite getting it until after childbirth

happens, after they become parents.

So we're expecting that something will change with this postpartum and maybe that the greater

exhaustion that new mothers seem to have may wash out this effect of hope.

Maybe there won't be much hope—we do see some drops in hope postpartum from what they've

peaked at but really it's too early to tell whether it's really a serious drop or just

a minor drop in hope levels.

Okay, so these two premises that we've been exploring in data are that hope fluctuates,

that it's dynamic, and that hope is a quality of the couple, that it's dyadic.

We have a third premise, but that's one that we're going to be exploring in our

next project, we're really interested to see whether hope is malleable.

Whether we can change it.

And to do that we're planning a study that applies some research on mental imagery; hope

has a strong imagery component as many of the other speakers at this festival have talked

about.

There's a daydreaming component.

There's an imaginal component to hope and we are emphasizing this imaginal component

in this next piece of our work.

We want to see whether we can train people, in this case couples, to imagine their desired

outcomes, these things that they hope for, in a more or less effective way.

We're going to be doing this as a randomized study where some of the couples receive this

seemingly logical intervention of like, 'Let's imagine the future and let's think about

these positive outcomes that will happen,' which on the face of it sounds like it would

be a way to increase hope.

But in reality it's going to be—or we think is going to be—less effective than

a different kind of intervention where we have them imagine these desired outcomes but

we also have them imagine the obstacles and the way to get around these obstacles to get

to these outcomes.

Work from motivational psychologists and health psychologists has shown that this sort of

process—it's often called mental contrasting—where you think about what you want, you really

imagine it, but you also think about what's going to block your progress towards that

desired goal leads to more effective hope.

Leads to more effective accomplishment of these things that people want for themselves.

We want to see whether this happens here.

We want to see whether doing this in the context of a relationship where we'll have one of,

probably one of my graduate students, Ph.D. students in psychology, delivering this but

in the presence of the partner as well.

So we're going to have both partners in the room and we'll switch and do a similar

kind of intervention with both of them in mind.

Whether this kind of work can actually increase hope in a sustainable way and lead them to

accomplish or fulfill the expectations that they have for what it will be like to be parents

and for what it will be like to be a couple after the child has arrived in a more effective

way.

Facebook Says Russian Trolls Bought Deceptive Ads To Sway 2016 Election - Duration: 4:19.

On Wednesday evening, media outlets were buzzing about the fact that Facebook announced that

a Russian firm with ties to the Kremlin bought about $100,000 worth of Facebook ads on politically

divisive issues ahead of the 2016 election and they ran those ads on Facebook, and oh

my God, there you have it folks, that is the Russian interference in the 2016 US election.

The media was all over this story.

Everybody was talking about it.

We've got this proof of Russians interfering with the election.

Now, I understand there are many Russia stories out there that have legs.

There are many instances where it's very clear that Russia in some for or another, or Russians,

I can't even say Russia because we don't necessarily know how it goes or if it's connected to the

government.

But there are issues where some people from that country attempted to interfere or sway,

or otherwise manipulate the Trump campaign and Trump administration.

This isn't one of those stories.

Let me explain it this way.

Anybody can go and buy an ad on Facebook.

It's that simple folks.

That doesn't mean that they interfered with our election, and furthermore, if an ad bought

by a Russian trolling company is enough to sway an election, that's not an indictment

of Russia, that's an indictment of how stupid we are as a country to allow $100,000 worth

of Facebook ads to completely sway our future.

Because that's what the media's portraying it as.

They spent $100,000.

They bought some ads, and then Trump won.

That's not Russia's fault, that's the fault of our education system for not teaching people

how to weed out the bullshit that they see online.

That's a problem with us!

Not a problem with them.

Yeah, it's underhanded.

It's not particularly nice, but it's not illegal.

We can go online and buy a Facebook ad today, you know, talking bad about Vladimir Putin!

Will it sway anything in the country?

Who knows?

But it would be just as effective as what they did through Facebook.

We have to move past these sensationalistic stories just because it has Russia in the

headline.

There are very real Russian stories, like I've said.

Things that we do need to pursue.

Things that are currently being investigated, and are going to turn into something.

This story and how the media is hyping it and sensationalizing it that they bought some

Facebook ads, I'm sorry but that speaks more to the education level of American citizens

than it does to the sinister abilities of the Russians.

We need to understand that we do have a problem with misinformation in this country.

We do have an electorate that is not educated enough to weed it out and find out what's

true, or who's not willing to go through and do the legwork to research it.

That's on us.

We have to take responsibility for that.

If millions of Americans are swayed one way or another by an incorrect and divisive political

ad on Facebook, we have nobody to blame for that but ourselves.

It's our job to educate people, to teach people.

Not just the media, but our teachers, our parents.

Children could teach their parents.

Everybody has a role to play in this, it's everyone's responsibility, so don't go out

there and say that Russians buying $100,000 worth of Facebook ads changed anything in

this country.

Because if anything at all, all it did is show how stupid we as a country are capable

of being, if $100,000 worth of Facebook ads gave Donald Trump

the presidency.

Secret Screening Weekly Update | September 4th 2017 - Duration: 3:38.

Hold onto your hats, folks - because it's time for another Secret Screening Weekly Update.

I'm local legend, Douglas MacKrell.

Before I begin, I want to again remind you that this month's Live Meeting will be held

on the last day of the month.

Saturday, September 30th 2017.

It will take place from 3pm to 5pm Eastern Standard Time.

You can find a direct link to the streaming page in the about section below.

If you're new to my channel, don't worry.

I'll dive into how my Live Meetings work later in the month.

The big news this week has been my schedule crash.

When last I made an update I was on track to release three new Secret Screening episodes,

and then was waylaid by a surprise funeral and then I a hard mental gearshift that made

me rethink my entire format for Secret Screening.

I jammed on the breaks, and even contemplated retooling my episode on Danger and Eggs which

was fully animated and nearly complete.

Needless to say, in the shake up of this past weekend, I needed to pause, refocus, and take

a deep dive into the works of some of my favorite creators here on YouTube to help remember

why I do this in the first place.

I looked at the video essays of Lindsay Ellis, the longform media dissections of Bob Chipman's

Really That Good, and the joyous Movies With Mikey with Mikey Neumann, and I learned an

important lesson.

I need to only make episodes over 15 minutes.

I'm joking.

No.

That's - no, I'm not going to do that to you.

What I need to do is strip away a lot of the needless seriousness from my videos, the over-presentational

quality of my voice, pepper in some jokes, and really focus on making my videos entertaining.

Not just for me, but for everyone who watches.

So keep an eye out for the last of my traditional Secret Screening episodes in a day or two,

and hopefully a brave new step toward something better shortly thereafter.

Or at least a brave new step toward change.

So until I'm 100% back into the swing of things, I'm going to drop the Babe Ruth

routine and stop calling my shots.

It puts unnecessary pressure on me, and that affects my final product.

Once I find my footing, I'll share my episode schedule again.

But for now, I'm thankful for your patience.

That said, keep your eyes on my Social Media for a heads up on when I post my new stuff.

Coming up next is Danger and Eggs, followed by The Tick, and then my thoughts on Amazon

Studios newest pilots.

Specifically Will Vs The Future and A Kid Called Mayonnaise.

Without spoiling anything, you should REALLY check those two new shows out.

Watch them both just on my recommendation right now.

It's like an hour of your time, and you can thank me in the comments.

You can find direct links to both in the description below, and here's the good news: They're

both available wherever there's Amazon in the world, and you don't need a Prime account

to see them!

Don't wait on my review.

Check these shows out as soon as possible, give them an honest review afterward, and

then be sure to take the survey and vote these shows up.

Or make some positive criticism.

I feel like all the criticism of the Tick's pilot paid off because they listened to all

of it.

They course corrected and made better shows because of it.

Jumping off a 15ft Rock! - Duration: 8:02.

You have to jump!

(whining)

Make the people proud.

(Intro Music)

Good afternoon.

We are all sitting in the living room.

By "all", I mean this group of people.

And we are getting ready to go to Merrick's open house.

He has open house at his elementary school.

He's going into 4th grade.

So we're gonna go see his teacher and we're gonna drop off his school supplies and then

we're gonna go to the river.

(Funky Music)

We're leaving Merrick's school.

It was pretty quick and easy.

And now we are heading back to the house so we can get our swimsuits on and get all of

the swimming stuff and go to the river.

Who's excited about the river?

(Merrick: I'm still depressed) You're still depressed about what?

School.

School??

Oh.

He got the teacher he was..

He did not get the teacher he was hoping to get.

And he's..

That's not the main problem.

It's the people that I hate are in the same class again.

(Nana: You shouldn't hate people.)

He complains about these people all year long.

Oh.

(Blaine: He says they try to, uh, kiss him too.)

( everyone laughing and showing surprise)

No, they're not just regular, like, little

girls that like you.

They're bullies that bully the whole school.

Like, they go crazy (Jinx: They're bully girls.)

(Singing: Gotta get the swim, swim stuff.

Over here.)

It's the highest one up.

How am I suppose to get that?

Oh my gosh.

One handed cause I've got a camera in the other hand.

(Grunting)

Got it.

Swim stuff!

Alright.

We've got all of our stuff loaded up.

Not very good.

We're just shoving it in here.

We're on the road again.

Is that your new necklace?

Mhmm.

You are lookin coool.

Mhhmm.

(Making noises into the pool noodle hole)

Oh noooo.

(giggling)

Alright Johnny..

(Singing: Your pickin up what I'm puttin down.)

That's beautiful. (laughs)

(Funky Music)

Alright.

Here we go, across the river.

I'm making it!

I'm doing it

with crackers in tow.

Half way there.

He'll do a cannon ball off of this huge rock.

Right there.

Oh my gosh, how am I suppose to get up this?

Oh.

I gotta go rock climbing??

Oh my gosh...

I'm doin it!

There's the bottom.

Oh my gosh.

Are you gonna jump?

What??

(Merrick: I can't) I just came all the way up here and you're not gonna jump?

Blaine's gonna do it!

Come on Blaine!

Ok, here he comes.

Here he comes.

Oh my god! (laughing)

Alright.

Oh my gosh, Blaine.

(Blaine: I'm gonna do it.)

K, fine..

Woa!!!

You're too scared?

No I'm not scared it's just gonna be cold.

What will you give me if I do it?

I don't know.

What do you want?

A thousand kissies!

Ok!

I'll give you a thousand kissies.

(laughing) I will..

I'll do it if you do it.

I can jump out of a plane, but not this.

Oh my gosh.

That's so far down..

Jumping out of a plane looks way scarrier than that

even though I've never done it.

You have to jump! (whining) Make the people proud.

Oh my god.

Ok. 2..

3...

Go!!! (screaming)

I did it!

(In a narrator's voice: Once upon a time in a far away land.

A desolate land.

This happened.)

These robbers are chasing me.

I just need to find what I need to find.

Come on, where is it, where is it.. (gasp!)

(Narrator: It was too far down.

He had to jump.)

Oh my god there's red fish.

Oh no the robbers are right there!

Oh no.

What do I do?

What do I dooo!!

And he made it.

The end.

He DIDN'T make it!!

(laughs) We are done swimming.

It's after 5 right now, so um, we're gonna head back home because we have to cook dinner

and stuff.

And Josh is probably home by now, so we have a walk back.

Or a hike back and Johnny's not looking forward to it because it's all up hill so he's probably

gonna give me a hard time about it.

I won't leave you behind Johnny.

Raya's keeping the sunscreen safe here.

We made it to the top.

Yay.

It's not actually such a bad walk.

Johnny, did you have fun?

You did?

Was the walk back so bad?

As bad as you thought it'd be?

Oh yea.

Nooo.

Look at this bush.

The leaves on it are so cool.

I'm not sure what it is but they're everywhere.

(babbing noises)

They're communicating.

(noises continue)

(Laughing)

She''ll be doing it the whole way home.

(laughing)

We made it home and look who's here.

It's Joshie and a grumpy Rie Pie.

Me and mom are in here making some tacos and burritos.

Mexican food.

We're, like, cooking it up.

Viva la Viva la.

Got some beans.

Tea.

Some rice.

Johnny made some homemade salsa right here.

I'm eager to try that.

Look at this.

We got some taco shells and they are all broken.

Every single one.

Makes me so mad.

I spent a dollar on that!

Here are our taco shells.

The classiest taco shells in all the land.

Blaine learned how to do something.

A trick on the trampoline.

He's gonna show everyone.

I'm really scared.

This video's gonna go viral.

(shouting)

(everyone cheering)

I'm gonna hose this high chair off because it's covered in

rice from Raya eating dinner and who knows what else.

Beans and whatnot.

But yea, we all ate.

It was so good.

We were really hungry and now we're all really full.

Aren't we?

We ate a bunch.

Well, except Johnny.

He didn't eat.

Oh, I've been.

I graze.

Grazes (laughs)

I'm gonna go ahead and end this video.

Thanks for watching.

See ya.

(Johnny: See ya!)

(laughing) See ya!

(Outro Music)

speedpaint : 30 FACTS ABOUT ME | Working for Takashi Murakami | My Ethnicity | Aikawa Eri - Duration: 6:03.

O Ney - Irruption (C Jamm Illusion (씨잼 신기루) Parody) [ENG SUB] - Duration: 3:28.

Whoo

Whoo

Whoo

6, 7, on test. As usual, have to make up for it on two sides

I'm not tasty, I would like people to feel me like zest

I would like to say I am perfect since nobody contest me

Dude, I'm just here. I'm not good, making bad moves only

All guys of my class want to earn a bunch of bills

Unlike them I want a quiet life like Bill the dog

Cause dogs are not eaten in France I don't wanna be a sheep on the grill

Anyway, I already see the world in grey

If possible, I would not drink their water so as not to pee

It's restrictive to do all of your business in Paris

"Teen!

That one is bad in all categories

He's left, he actually broke too quickly

Wanted to seem to be big but he is smaller than Sarkozy

He wants to be elephant, he's less visible than a bacterium

Melody, he can't make it so he makes a parody

It's so terrible, but we don't even tell him it's not exactly great

Studies to succeed, the key not the theory

Stopping for him means the final stop

We never tell him he's good but he has not got it"

But is it better exile or prison?

We're Simpson. Then my sister will be president

I'll wait in Unemployment Office waiting room

It's okay for me, everything rolls except that I'm on a bad slope

I'm worried. Imagine I live in a tent Whoo

What do you know about me?

It's impossible in an individualist system

Yet, it's odd, you have to follow everyone like on a track

We walk in herd, you're dead if you leave the list Whoo

I am scared right now

My emotional curves make less sense than a trader's ones

I'm not really interested by you labor

Tell me to work again, I'll do it later

Everybody want to hack me Everybody fed by sake

Why do you laugh when I say I want to be a hokage?

In sea, my ambition has the level of a paddle

Even if I marry, I wouldn't be merry Whoo

"Do your homeworks or you will be in detention"

Is it education? Formal methods?

You judge us without being able to control your anger You sometimes give us tablets. Is it progress?

I am lost. However, this song isn't an SOS

Even in France, you would looking for me in Greece

I am nobody except an individual in the masses. That's out, I'm invisible even if I'm in the same room

There is no way to stand out even if you got wisdom

If you want a one day buzz, you need awkwardness

I'm crazy, I dream of blood on the floor

At last I could sing C D E F G

Eve noona, I shouldn't but hard carry me

Minds? No, I want to spread through memories

Even if I always forget dreams I follow

We need to remember the death after the reprieve Whoo

I don't know which of my friends I could shine for

And for me, which of my friends could shine?

I want you to laugh, not to say "I feel pity"

Maybe it's better for me to don't know the truth

I'm a young person who wants to be on the cover of magazines

Who do I interest? I don't speak for stupid kids

Who think they are mature because they don't watch Yakari

You are ugly like makeup on a canary

Despite my tall, I hide behind Mickey

In my town, some kids ask me if I haven't got a lighter

If poet Victor Hugo came back to life

He would quickly leave just seeing the state of cities

I don't know where I'm going

Wassup? No I live in the baggage hold of the Boeing

I can shake my arms but I got no wings, sorry

When there will be a hole, you will see me falling

Lower your expectations, and let's begin.

Oooo my adorable.

We should have sex.

Do you like to have fun?

So much fun

What kind of fun may I ask?

Netflix

Hey Maria!

Two quick questions..

Do you like the lion king?

And how do you feel about role playing in bed?

I'm open to most pre-1997 Disney animated films if lion king isn't your thing.

we went on a date

There are seven planets.

I'm going to destroy your ass.

No no you did it wrong.

It goes:

"there will only be seven planets after I destroy Uranus"

Hey. On a scale of one to America, how free are you tonight?

North Korea.

So how does this work?

Are we dating now?

I'm pregnant, it's yours.

I want to kiss your mouth with my butt.

your logic is flawed anyway because there are actually more than 8 planets.

So I donno.

You wanna try that again?

You're missing the point. I just wanted to fuck you in the ass

How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh?

8, most likely.

Ten tickles.

Why ten?

TENTACLES!!!
