Youtube daily report Sep 8 2017

Hi guys. Welcome to AZCookbook. I am Feride. Today we are making a fun cake.

Zebra cake! It is one of the most popular if not the most popular recipe on my

food blog AZCookbook.com and I wanted to share it with you all today. Let's get

started. We need 4 large eggs at room temperature, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup

milk at room temperature, 1 cup oil, I'm using olive oil, 2 cups of all-purpose

flour, a dash of vanilla power, you can substitute it with vanilla extract, about

a half a teaspoon, I'm using 1 tablespoon of baking powder which equals 3

teaspoons of baking powder, and I also have 2 tablespoons of Dutch processed

cocoa powder. I have my flour in the mixing bowl already, so to this

I'm adding baking powder and a pinch of vanilla powder. I'm going to give it a

quick stir and put in aside while we make the wet ingredients. The next step is

beating the eggs with sugar, so I have 4 eggs here and to this I'm adding a cup

of sugar and I'm going to mix these together until the mixture is light and

creamy, about 5 minutes

All right the mixture is nice and light in color, to this I'm adding a cup of

milk, the milk should be at room temperature, and a cup of olive oil and

I'm just going to blend this together for a couple of sounds. If you did not have

vanilla powder and if you chose to use vanilla extract this is when you should

add it with the milk and olive oil and give it a stir and you're ready to go.

I'm going to add the flour into the wet mixture gradually and I'll continue to

beat this mixture until the dry ingredients are incorporated. Our batter

is ready, now we are going to split it in two parts. So to one of the batters

I'm adding my cocoa powder, I'm just going to give a quick mix to until incorporated

The dark batter is ready, the zebra stripes are going to be so beautiful, and

it's really important to use dark cocoa powder because then the stripes will be

very distinct. And now the fun part assembling the zebra cake. I've preheated my

oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I've my buttered my pan all over and I lined

it with parchment paper. Now let's assemble the cake. I'm using two tools to

spread my batters, to alternate my batters in the pan. I am using a sauce

ladle and I'm using a serving spoon. Don't worry if you don't have these, just

use a regular tablespoon. You'll need three tablespoons of each batter

going on top of each other. So, I'm starting with the white batter. The

sequence doesn't really matter. You can start with the dark batter as well. So, this is

3 tablespoons of batter, I'm pouring it in the middle of the pan like this.

It's going to spread on its own. On top of it I'm adding 3 tablespoons of the dark batter,

like this. It's very important not to stop, continue doing this, don't wait

until the batter spreads out, it will as you pour the next batter on top. So I'm

not stopping. Just keep going.

This is ready to go in the oven. Make sure you don't tilt the pan or move the

pan too much, otherwise the stripes will mix up. Let's bake it! My zebra cake is

ready. I baked it for 40 minutes and I checked four doneness by inserting a

wooden stick in the middle - it came out clean that means that the cake is ready.

And I cooled it down before I can slice it. Let's take a look at the inside. I'm

very excited. I hope it just looks like zebra stripes. This is the zebra cake! Look at

the stripes, you can see white stripes a dark stripes. I think it looks

beautiful. I think it's pretty cool. This is a very fun cake to me if you have

kids. Ask them to make the layers, they will have so much fun with this. I can't

wait to try it and see how it tastes, too. I love the stripes, I love the cocoa

flavor and I Iike the flavor of the white batter. It's not a very sweet

cake, which is perfect, I love it. I hope you do too. I hope you make this cake for

yourself and your loved ones. Let me know in the comments if you try this recipe.

iOS 11 turns an iPad into a Laptop? DIY in 5 Ep 68 - Duration: 4:34.

Wait, this thing can actually maybe replace my computer now?!?

Bout damn time!

What's up guys?

I'm Trisha Hershberger and in this episode of DIY in 5 we'll tell you how to turn that

iPad into an actual working notebook.

Whether you are looking for back to school, work travel, or just to condense your daily

load of gadget must-haves, we got you covered.

Don't forget to subscribe so you won't miss any of our upcoming tips and tricks.

Turning an iPad into a truly functional notebook really wasn't possible until iOS11.

Apple finally added a number of features for the iPad that can make it feel much less like a tablet.

If you haven't upgraded your OS in a while, go do that.

iOS 11 is definitely worth it.

The biggest update is now you can actually do things with split-screens!

If you're writing a document and need to drop in a picture, just open up both programs

and drag and drop the picture just like you do with your other notebooks.

This is such a small, but so important thing to make your life easier.

Another biggie Apple updated is the dock at the bottom.

Most of us work with a number of programs like email, Word, picture editors, and whatever.

Now you can add all your favorite updates to that little bar on the bottom.

When you open up a program you'll notice it disappears, when you need it just swipe up.

You can't do that on Tinder!

Sorry, Jake!

Swipin' left.

The last update we'll mention in iOS 11 is files.

While not the sexiest name for an app, it's what digitally transforms your tablet into

an actual computer.

Again, let me just say, about damn time Apple!

If you really want to get all Transformers style on your iPad and actually make it a

physical working notebook you're going to need a keyboard.

For iPads it's gotta be a Bluetooth keyboard to make it truly mobile.

And as an added bonus, lots of keyboards come with cases that double as a stand

to make it a truly laptop-style experience.

The good news is these things have come down dramatically in price over the last few years.

Not too long ago you would've dropped $100 on one of these things, but this one here

cost less than $30 on Amazon, and that's after tax.

The final thing to keep in mind is battery life.

You don't want a keyboard that runs out of charge every other day.

Now that we have a device that is starting to look and feel like a notebook from the inside and out

we just need to worry about the apps.

We all know you can read books, watch Netflix, and go down Reddit rabbit holes on these things

but what about actual "work" stuff?

Thankfully Apple has opened up their iWork apps to people for free

and they're surprisingly useful on the iPad.

So if you need to write a document, make a presentation, or balance a budget they have you covered.

For our Microsoft friends out there there's always Office 365 which is also available.

While it's not free, it really is an Office experience you already know and hopefully love.

And of course, there's always the best option Google Docs - free, easy to collaborate with

others in real-time, and quite functional.

Can you tell which one I use?

If you're a creative professional and you want to edit photos, videos, work on 3D models

or whatever, make sure you have an iPad Pro.

There's a ton of really terrific apps that turn the iPad Pro into an almost workstation-type experience.

Next, let's talk storage.

An iPad, just like every other Apple product today, won't let you get in and upgrade things yourself.

So, whatever size model you got is what you're stuck with.

But the good news is we live in the age of cloud storage.

All those word docs, presentations, pictures, movies and whatever, they needs to live somewhere.

Today there are tons of options for online storage like Google Drive, Dropbox, and even iCloud itself.

iCloud has come a long way recently and can actually be used as decent online storage.

For those of you who don't trust the big storage machines in the sky for your pictures

of… well, you know…

I don't know what they'v got in there!

I'm trying to look out for everyone, ya know?

For those special photos, there's always good ol' USB storage.

This Bolt drive here backs up your camera roll and videos, and for most people that's

usually what takes up the most space.

So what kind of tablet does everyone at home have?

For this video, I'm rocking an iPad Air 2.

But usually, Android is the way to go for max productivity.

Although, kudos to Apple for implementing some more multi-tasking options and hence this video!

Let us know which is your favorite and why in the comments below.

And since we're talking Apple products, if you want to see how to

extend the life of your old iPhone, check out this video here.

Thank you all so much for watching and I'll see ya next time with more DIYin5!

NIK DAY: "You Are a Miracle" - Duration: 4:34.

I went to BYU, and on my way to BYU--

some BYU fans--

on my way to BYU, in my old, beat-up,

Honda Accord, 1993 Honda Accord,

I promised myself that I would never write church music.

Which is funny, because, uh, fast-forward to today,

I've written a lot of EFY music for the

EFY album, and, ah,

I write the mutual theme album for the church, for my day job,

and I just released an album through Deseret Book,

you guys can check out after. So,

it's been a great ride, and it's, ah,

it's just interesting how God has a plan for you.

And sometimes,

and usually, it's actually a lot different than what you have

planned for yourself.

And, ah,

it just reminds me,

of the miracle that it is

for us to be children of God.

And, ah, He loves us so much, and He will always point us

in the right direction.

And, ah, that's what this next song is about. It's called 'Miracle.'

You were made for a reason

in an extraordinary way

forget about your imperfections

'cause God doesn't make mistakes

there's so much more than you imagined

a priceless work of art

if you looked deep inside,

there's something so divine,

and it's really who you are

you are a miracle

sent here straight from heaven

a shooting star, lighting up the sky

a daughter of the God of love,

who wants you by His side,

He had to let you go,

but He wants you to know,

you are a miracle.

You're one of His miracles, oh...

You were born for greatness

it's who you are

so follow Him and give it time,

and you won't even recognize

the queen you will become, yeah

You are a miracle

sent here straight from heaven

a shooting star, lighting up the sky

A daughter of the God of love,

who wants you by His side,

He had to let you go,

but he wants you to know,

you are a miracle

sent here straight from heaven

a shooting star, lighting up the sky

a daughter of the God of love,

who wants you by His side,

He had to let you go, but He wants you to know,

you are a miracle.

You're one of His miracles.

Thank you.

Whatever Happened To Kirk Cameron - Duration: 7:12.

Thanks to the success of the ABC sitcom Growing Pains, Kirk Cameron became a teen heartthrob.

He even landed a Pepsi commercial during Super Bowl 24.

But when Growing Pains was cancelled after seven seasons in 1992, Cameron made an unexpected

career shift.

So whatever happened to the former Mike Seaver?

Here's the surprising answer.

He converted to Christianity

At the height of his fame, Cameron became a born-again Christian — and allegedly became

an absolute nightmare to deal with on the set of Growing Pains.

According to E!

True Hollywood Story, Cameron wielded his star power and pressured the network to make

sure the show portrayed themes and storylines that were in line with his new religious beliefs.

Several producers reportedly quit the show, and the ratings for Growing Pains plummeted

in Season 7, prompting ABC to pull the plug.

By the time the smoke cleared, Cameron had alienated himself from the cast.

He told The Los Angeles Times, "I definitely kind of made an about-face, going toward another

aspect of my life.

I shifted my focus from 100% on the show, to 100% on [my new life], and left 0% on the

show — and even the friendships that were a part of that show."

Still, the other cast members seemed to understand his choice to embrace religion.

"When you think about all the choice that kids could make, what better choice can you

make than choose a religious spiritual life?"

Shame and regret

Actress Julie McCullough joined the cast of Growing Pains as nanny Julie Costello in 1989.

Despite being cast as a love interest for Cameron's character of Mike Seaver, McCullough

was written off the show by 1990.

According to Hollywood legend, when Cameron found out the actress had posed for Playboy

in the past, he was furious with producers.

He allegedly went so far as to call them "pornographers."

Cameron has denied having McCullough fired, asserting in his autobiography she was never

meant to have a long-term role in the show.

But others alleged that after getting McCullough fired, Cameron used his influence to then

get his real-life girlfriend, Chelsea Noble, cast as his new on-screen girlfriend.

When the two married in real life shortly after, he didn't bother inviting any of his

castmates, something Cameron later told The Los Angeles Times he now regrets.

"If I could go back, I think I could make decisions that were less inadvertently hurtful

to the cast — like talking and explaining to them why I just wanted to have my family

at my wedding."

Cameron's relationship with Noble catalyzed another strict stipulation for the rest of

Cameron's acting career: he refuses to kiss anyone but her, even in the movies.

Cameron told the Today show that when he needs to film a kissing scene, his wife comes in

to act opposite him as a kissing double.

"we shot the scene in silhouette, so when I'm kissing my wife, we're actually husband

and wife honoring marriage behind the scenes as well - on camera."

Sitcom fail

Despite the behind-the-scenes dramas on Growing Pains, Cameron managed to land a new sitcom,

Kirk, on The WB.

The family-friendly show featured an older brother raising his three younger siblings

while chasing his dream of becoming a comic book artist.

The show failed to catch on in the long run, however, lasting just two seasons.

The cleansing of the temple

In the early 2000s, Cameron left behind traditional show business fare to focus on making faith-based

films.

Appropriately enough, one of his most popular projects was the trilogy of films adapting

the popular Left Behind series of Christian books.

Christian audiences loved them, though Left Behind author Tim LaHaye hated the first one

so much that he sued to get the rights back.

In 2008, Cameron promoted the film Fireproof by incorporating it into teaching kits on

marriage and marketing it to churches.

It earned $33 million at the box office, which was huge considering the film's next-to-nothing

budget.

Fireproof became the highest grossing independent film of 2008 and made Cameron a prominent

figure in Christian circles.

The great controversy

Cameron has become a lightning rod for controversy, famously campaigning against the theory of

evolution with a YouTube video claiming that bananas are so amazing that they must be the

work of a higher power.

He later doubled down by publicly going after world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking,

telling TMZ "Professor Hawking is heralded as 'the genius of Britain,' yet he believes

in the scientific impossibility that nothing created everything and that life sprang from

non-life.

Why should anyone believe Mr. Hawking's writings if he cannot provide evidence for his unscientific

belief that out of nothing, everything came?"

Then there was his 2012 interview with Piers Morgan about Cameron's views on homsexuality.

"it's unnatural I think it's...it's detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the

foundations of civilization."

Many in Hollywood were quick to denounce the former Growing Pains star, including his former

TV dad, Alan Thicke, who said in a statement "I'm getting him some new books.

The Old Testament simply can't be expected to explain everything."

Cameron again made the headlines in 2016 with his "Love Worth Fighting For" marriage ministry,

after telling The Christian Post, "Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband's

lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband.

When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there

is hope for real change in their marriage."

But perhaps the strangest controversy Cameron has been involved with is one he manufactured

while promoting his 2013 film Unstoppable.

The website address for the film had previously been a spam site, so it was initially blocked

on Facebook.

Though Facebook unblocked the site later the same day after verifying the new content with

Cameron's team, the sitcom star painted it as an attack on Christianity that was foiled

by the swell of support from the faithful.

Sounds like he knows how to play to his base.

The worst movie of all time

Despite finding financial success with Fireproof and other faith based projects, Cameron earned

the wrong kind of accolades with his 2014 holiday feature, Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas.

With a zero percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film was voted the "worst movie ever"

by IMDb users.

It even cleaned up at the Razzies where, according to CNN, it scored, quote, "four wins in the

categories of worst picture, screenplay, actor and screen combo, which went to Cameron and

'his ego.'"

Ouch.

Keep the faith

After enduring years of high-profile criticism for not shying away from the controversial

views of his faith, Cameron is still making films and soldiering on with his marriage

seminars.

Even if you don't agree with his stances, you can't deny that Cameron sticks to his

principles and won't change who he is to fit the Hollywood mold.

Seems like he's not feeling any growing pains these days.

Fan Film Friday - Star Trek Continues: "What Ships Are For" - Duration: 16:42.

Metaphor Is a powerful Storytelling Tool if Used Correctly

for Example i could tell The rampaging disaster That Overflowed My Senses with Despair As i Looked upon the

Disaster Around me and over Ebbing sense of dread overcame me like a Tidal wave with the

Responsibilities ahead of me the carnage i'd Witness Was indescribable the wreckage

Impassable!!

That Example Alone Would be a Very easy metaphor for me to use when describing the state of my daughter's bedroom.

Trust me she would Get the message through That Metaphor far more effectively Than Those Three words

"Tidy your Room"

Metaphor Is no stranger to star trek Darmok for Example is probably the best Example of metaphor Taken Until it'll Play

Where captain Picard has to learn to communicate with the species his very language is metaphor

Where he deals in absolutes

He has to deal with a creature who speaks in Broken Sentences from Various Tourism its culture in order to communicate

Q is a living embodiment

of Metaphor Given That His

Very own Omnipotence alone has Guaranteed he hasn't to be did got a Defined sense of Reality for Himself

To the point that he will one day Have to Play a being the Scarecrow standing in the Middle of the field Just Because well?

He's never done it before?

Captain Picard Points This Out Very eloquently after Pointing Shakespeare to define the metaphor of the human Potential

something Which Q would otherwise never have comprehended What a piece of Work is Man

How noble

in reason how infinite in faculty in form in moving how Express

and Admirable in action How like an Angel in apprehension how like a God

Surely You don't see your species like that to you i see as one day becoming that Q

Is it that Which concerns you?

Which is where i have to Say

welcome back John D Lancie You have Been Missed

Bringing New ideas to an old Concept Like star trek the original series is a

Huge Challenge

It would be so easy to fall into the lazy old Tropes that make the show what it is

Rather Than to bring something Refreshingly New to the vintage table

Yet Star Trek Continued Surprisingly Pushes the bar Over episode is Perhaps Fair to say That this is one of the few

fan films to have an Emotional Impact of me Every episode

Even At its weakest, "Fairest of them all', I was still Left with a Profound sense of satisfaction if Not Moral implication to wrestle with

writing Fictional Novels for The original Series is far easier in Many Ways as What can Be Transcribed into words

Can Be Harder As We Have Seen With Many Adaptions to be put into a Visual medium like TV and film for Example

So liberties have to be Taken From time to time

Star Trek continues However Manages to bring A 50 year old Show into the 21st century almost Seamlessly

With Fresh Ideas and approaches Only a Written novel Could Normally provide

Vic and His team Have Really Shown a Cohesiveness and Vision That Is Very rare

Even in professional Circles and They deserve real praise for the high quality production They Actually Bring to us.

Star Trek Continues As a History That Goes back six Years to another star trek Fan production

Starship Farragut and Which after Their rating Left so the Young aspiring Voice actor Vic Mignogna "You've Got My name right"

I Know! I know! I did struggle with that for Years!

Proposed Star Trek continues to the Crew of farragut and eventually Set Up a studio in Kingsland, Georgia, to recreate The sets of the original enterprise

The intentions of the Web Series Was to chronicle the lost Years of The USS Enterprise and her original Crew

Much Like New Voyages have done before it Only i have to say With Much Better Results i

Have a Great Deal of Love for new Voyages and phase two please don't Get me wrong but the highest standards and continues has

Continued to be very consistent

especially as it's filmed in its original Ratio Format, albeit HD, and Not The tempting trappings of Widescreen HD

Continues Honestly Feels Like Old Trek yet it's fresh and New enough to appreciate in Modern Days

Vic's portrayal of James Kirk is Just Uncanny

especially considering The Supporting cast That Comes with Him as well as James Doohan Son Chris Playing Just as Uncannily

The Role His father made so famous and

Despite the star Power Behind It such as Calling Baker But Reba Searches John De Lancie to name a Few it

strength Lies and something greater.

The A-list Is a Bonus

But to be fair to them it's the stories Themselves that Actually Carry The series

you can Make something Look stunning Visually and Get all The A-list Actors you want

But if you don't have a Great Story to carry It all you have these i can't it's easy to fall back on star Power?

But in the long run if you do that all you Have Is a Stale fruit cake with fresh icing

Continues Seems To Understand This It Doesn't Draw Attention to its guest stars Which you might think is an on approach

But I don't recall a Huge fuss being made Over Q Actually being in a TOS episode i'm Actually Glad for That

As Much as It Was a treat to see John in star trek again

It Really Didn't hold me as much as the Actual story did and thus far as "What ships are for" Goes

It Pushes the Boundary that Will are They already potent and rips It Wide open for the world to see

Lake a Mirror This tale is Laced with Visual metaphor and there's a Reflection about What Today's World is all about

in a Story from Tomorrow

But Only Star Trek could Deliver. "Star trek"

Was never a Show that was afraid to

grab Its era by the balls and challenge it's Misconceptions.

Message shows Have Been Very Guilty of pushing the writers agenda particularly in Many TNG episodes

But Here continues hasn't Just Shown a Moral stance

It leaves the Gaping question in your own Head to deal with Rather Than tell you what to think

Continues it's not afraid to tell you to your face what the problem is and force You to deal with it

Like with "Lonani", the audience is forced to ask the question that most fans are terribly uncomfortable with, at What price comes

The Gene Roddenberry Federation utopia?

Down to the T "What ships are for" Is a Very

Unforgiving Piece of Work and i Mean That With high praise the term colorblind takes on a Brand-new Meaning in a World

genuinely devoid of color and of Course it's a virtual paradise

Very Much Akin to the black and White ideal Films of The 1940s and 50s a World Doing its best to get rid of

Imperfection before It can Deem itself Worthy of Joining The stars. And as a Result in order to achieve this pinnacle of Perfection.

But it'S gone into a stage of aggressive isolationismand Xenphobia?

They won't show it to your face there are pious and Loving People

They know you Mean well but

you Just don't see in the world in the way they do

Literally in Black and White

Absolutes The Enemy and the friend the outsider and the Trusted us and them

You See there is a Little Secret in the Black and White snippet of paradise

There are iegal aliens amongst The population who have lived there for Years Maybe Decades in Plain Sight But never Seen

contributing to the paradise

Unbeknownst to the native population who see these very same Aliens

Savages and Criminals

Imagine What Would Happen if Their World Suddenly Became subject to the light of color i

Find This Allegory Very telling so often do i hear from People Who claim not to be racist or really don't want

To be racist the terms i am color blind

I don't see color

and yet i personally find that As a Bigger problem Than Actually Judging Based on Color

you see to deny diversity and culture and color and Beliefs is not

pretty much for a Step Forward it's more of a Step Backwards. I could see the Good intention This World view presents,

But The reality is in stepping Forward is not to pretend that It Doesn't matter

you See cultures and beliefs do have a Profound Impact on others

Really The Challenges is how to incorporate ways to make different cultures, races and beliefs Coexist

Do you think that Bones Mccoy hates bach or that is over Humanity Conflicts with spock is beneficial or a detriment for Example

No they don't see eye to eye on many Things but

They do Learn a Great Deal from each Other and Their Jobs and Insults on each Other are Perhaps What Keeps Their Friendship and

Wisdom Going

The Federation Doesn't demand that You can form to its Ways

It Asks That You find a Way to coexist with cultures That Could Overtly offend you

can You overcome That prejudice

to become a Part of something Better

Or Will You Keep Your Ship in dock Looking Pretty, But ultimately not Doing What ships are for

I've Certainly Skirted Around The issue for a While but the key issue in this episode Approaches in racism and Immigration

Even at The end the Blatant orange Skin of the native population is a Very clear Representation of a Certain Somebody today

far Be It from me to make Blatant comparisons but again

Star Trek Continues is not afraid to slam reality in our face

Whilst at The same time providing

Much entertainment

This approach to immigration and Racism Certainly Invited It some Ire on the

imbd Reviews Lately

Sadly This is the penultimate episode - The Series two-parter Conclusion in october and november and

Star trek Continues has for the last three Years

Rather Than being Able to pass the torch the original series Was ditched for a Brand New look Twenty Years Later with the new

Generation and three Series That followed it

It almost Felt Like The old School were Force-fed something That They were not Allowed to say a proper Goodbye through television and

The Undiscovered country Was the decent send-Off yes

But it was as Almost Quickly Soured By The Generations movie That followed it

What continues and I dare Say New Voyages offered Was not Just the look back at the old Days Through Younger Eyes

But Together a Series of Stories Whilst not officially Canon did offer a Potential in insight That What Happened between the third

The Next title of the next two episodes are "To boldly Go"

A fitting Send-Off for a fitting Crew of Young

But Brought It to a new Generation Without having to update the look for Younger Eyes looking for eye candy.

Star trek Continues Would be a Sorely Missed Inclusion to the long

It looks promising enough But Only to give the original Series The send-Off Deserves

August Makes and September Plans- Contemporary, Historical, and Home Sewing - Duration: 15:48.

Hi everybody and welcome to my August makes and September plans.

Well I can't believe that it's September already, it seems like August just flew by and if you

remember from my August plans video I had quite a lot of plans that I knew was

overly ambitious and at first when I was looking at all of my makes for this

month I was a little disappointed and thought that I didn't really get that

much done. So the reason that it felt like I didn't get that much done at

first this month is that I pretty much exclusively worked on one project and

that project is what you can see behind me, my fitted English down that I've been

working on this down I've been making for the Carolina Renaissance Festival which

starts at the end of this month on September 30th. When I think back to this

time last year and my first costume that I made, my French Gown, I remember

going to the dress rehearsal which happens the weekend before festival

starts and my costume was largely held together by safety pins, I still had a

ton of work to do. When I look at this now I have something that's completely

wearable, it's basically finished, I could stop

right now if I wanted to, I just always want to add a little more detailing to

it. So I'm ecstatic to be finished a month early I've certainly been working

on this for the better part of a year so I'm very very happy to be completed with

it. The one thing that I worked on this month that wasn't related to the

Renaissance Festival was finishing up a home sewing embroidery that I had showed

in my last makes video and that one I had showed you the hoop that my dog had

chewed up but I had the floral wreath done and I had mentioned that I wanted

to embroider with Game of Thrones quote here it is all finished I re-hooped it,

trimmed off the back, and I embroiderd on it "I drink and I sew things". I didn't get

the full quote in there because I realized I didn't have the room for it. This

really started out as a practice piece so I love how it turned out I

definitely want to do more Game of Thrones quotes and more sewing related hoops

maybe to hang up somewhere in my crafting room. I did finish one Renaissance Festival related

item that was not related to my English Gown costume and that was just

this cute little beaded collar that I made for my dog. It has a rainbow of beads on

it on a white velvet collar I put elastic in it so that it goes

around her neck and it won't accidentally choke her anything and she wore this in

the Charlotte Pride Festival that we marched in a couple weekends ago. A lot

of fun and she had a great time she loves seeing all the people at parades. I

love making these little details for her to make her look all fancied up. As far

as my English Gown goes this is where I had the bulk of the sewing that I

finished this month happen and I'm so happy to see it finally coming all

together. So the first thing that I got done this month was actually to finish

he undergown for this dress. I finished this undergown back in like April or

something and I had just hemmed it but I had never put the gard on the bottom

and so finally I completed it months and month later, I put the gard on the

bottom of the gown. This gard actually has some horsehair interfacing so that's

different than horsehair braid, is just a woven material there's a lot

of stiffness they usually use it like men's coats and things. I

stiffened the hem of that with this, this is just so I don't have to wear a hoop

skirt with this costume but it still gives it a little more volume and shows

off the amount of skirt that I do have in it, and then I just sewed this

gold dupioni silk on the bottom of it. This was completely done by hand, I have

now sewn the bottom circumference of this skirt, which is over

100 inches, six times. I had a double turn hem underneath so I sewed around that

twice with each turn then I sewed the top and the bottom of the horsehair

interfacing into it by hand so that was two more times around the circumference

of the skirt, then I attached the front of the gard by hand I did that you know like

right sides together and flipped it down and turned it to the inside and then

affixed the inside portion down by hand. That's six times round the bottom of

this, you can see maybe why I put it off a bit, but it's now done I think it

look so gorgeous. I bought this silk kind of sight

unseen and it matches the embroidery on the silk of the dress perfectly so I'm

so happy with that. The next thing I did was put together the skirt for the gown.

I did not have any of the skirt done last month I didn't even have it cut out

yet so I cut out the skirt it is a lightweight wool and it's underlined

with a mid-weight linen just to give it more body, so I cut out the skirt and

the lining. It required some piecing because was it was not wide enough for

the pieces especially on the back because as opposed to different skirts

that I've done in the past this skirt is cut on an angle so it's not a

rectangular start it's actually an angled skirt, so it required some piecing

and I was the first time I'd done any piecing before. It went okay, it wasn't the

greatest and I kind of messed up the piecing on my linen because I totally

ran out of linen and I was piecing just like little bits and pieces of it

together and it didn't turn out great so there's actually some linen missing from

the inside turned edge but it's mostly covered by where I turn the wool over so

you don't see it. Cut that out I sewed it together the top edge was finished. On

the bodice I finished the inside of the bodice

covering all the raw edges with bias tape and things like that so I finished

the bottom edge and then I was able to sew the skirt to the bodice I added all

the velvet trim to the bodice which was really fun. This velvet trim is just a

ribbon so the fact that it goes on a curved line was an adventure to go on

and I actually wound up running a gathering stitch along the inner edge of

the curve and easing that curve into itself so it it has some bumps in it

that you can see but the bumps are really even I think that it adds a

lovely texture and visual interest to the bodice of the gown. And the skirt has

a bunch of cartridge pleats in the back. So I pleaded and attached that all

together and then I was able to gard this as well this is garded with just a

green velvet. I really hate sewing with velvet I had such a time with this. I

originally was going to sew it all by hand because I said, "Hey, I sewed all of

the silk guard on by hand so I should be able to do it with velvet too!" but

velvet is just way too slippery for me to be sewing by hand especially without

pins. It wound up doing some funky things on the inside so I really won't show

that but I did sew on the front edge by machine with my walking foot and lots of

pins and everything and sew the inside down by hand. Really happy with that,

the velvet just gives it a lot of body to the bottom of the skirt to really

help it float over the horsehair lining of the underskirt so it all looks really

pretty. The last thing that I did was create these under sleeves for this gown.

You may have seen the videos that I posted on how I made the puffed sleeves

on it but I finally made the under sleeves as well. These will just get

pinned or tied to the kirtle underneath. These sleeves were drafted following

instructions from a paper written by someone named Jose Felipe Francisco from

Madrid it is a historical method of drafting sleeves called

"old thirds" it was accurate to the Elizabethan period so I followed the

instructions written up on the blog Caitlin'sClothing.com. I found that it

did make quite a nice sleeve I just had to do a little bit of adjusting I

felt it was a little tight in the elbow and a little long in the upper arm so I

just shortened it up made a couple muslins and then I cut out the silk and

they are lined with a handkerchief weight linen just to give them a little

more stiffness and also comfort close to the body.

I cut the silk pieces with a 1 inch seam allowance and that is because this

silk like many silks frays like nobody's business.

And I had mentioned in my August plans video that I was going to embroider by

machine all of the quilting on this and then I wound up deciding to do it by

hand because, I don't know I was a little bit crazy I had been watching a couple

embroidery tutorials and things like that and I felt hey you know it will

look really special if I do it by hand so I knew that with the amount I

would be working this fabric it would fray something awful so what I did was

cut a one inch seam allowance and I took some fusible web trimmed it down

very small and ironed the fusible web on to the edges of that seam allowance. And

what I hoped that would do was stop them from fraying because the fusible web kind

of glues everything together. Then I had a really easy time I actually just

ironed the silk onto the linen and cut around the outside. That also served

as the basting so I didn't have to hand baste it all together as I embroidered. I think it

turned out really well the embroidery went way faster than I thought.

I thought this was gonna take me a week or more to do and I finished it all in a

couple of hours. Probably because it's just straight lines and running stitches

but I was really happy with how that turned out I think they look gorgeous.

So I embroidered the sleeve pieces separately and then I sewed them

together with a French seam. Doing that French seam allowed me to cut off all of

the fusible web so there's no more fusible web left in it and it gives just

a really beautiful sleeve I love that it matches the under dress brings a lot of

visual interest to the sleeves of the garment. In Elizabethan times sleeves

were a very important part of the garment because there is so little

fabric in sleeves you were able to make the sleeves from a more expensive fabric

and show off a lot of wealth and status in the sleeves of your garment so I'm so

happy with how these turn out. So that's it for my makes in the month of August I

did go on a business trip this month so I feel it if I had had that extra week

at home I may have gotten to do more but I did a lot of the hand sewing for this

costume on that trip I think that overall it was a great month. So let's

move on to my September plans. So for the month of September I'm really excited to

say that I have very little historical sewing that I feel I have to get done. I

am just going to adjust the way the skirt is attached. I can't actually

remember cause was so long ago but I think that I may have deepened the front

point of this pattern when I was drafting the bodice up and that messed

up the curve of the skirt and you can see there's kind of like a bunch of extra

fabric here so I'm just going to raise where the front portion of the

skirt is attached to give it a more smooth look, that'll probably take me

about an hour to do. I'm also going to be adding a little bit more trim I'll be

adding some velvet trim around the bottom of the puff sleeves adding some

trim around the waist line and probably continuing this bold line down the front

of the skirt and maybe doing an extra line of blue velvet

right over the green velvet to add a second band on the bottom. That's really

it. For this costume I had originally planned to do it partlet and cuffs

underneath it as well. Once I finished it and wore and everything I felt like the

neck just came up too close to be able to truly show off a partlet underneath.

I might still do the cuffs but I probably won't. I spend all my time

at the festival holding dog leashes and I just feel like that extra piece around

my wrist will really hinder me in that. I might also start making a hat for it I

do have a hat that I can wear but it's a straw brimmed hat and when I'm sitting

down all day in a building and leaning back I feel like that brim might get

annoying to me so I might make a smaller matching hat as well. So since I don't

have a lot of historical sewing to do this month that means this month is

going to be all about contemporary and home sewing. So mean first things first I will be

making those curtains that I talked about in my August plans video for my

kind of kitchen and dining room area. I'm having a housewarming party in a couple

weeks and I just need to get those done. I'll actually be starting on those shortly

after I finished filming this video. It'll be really easy just really have to

turn the top and hem the bottom. I'm also going to be getting to the Sew House

7 patterns that I talked about in my last video.

After a bothering my sister every day for a couple weeks she finally sent me

over her measurements so I'm going to start cutting out the burnside bibs that

I'm making for her for our birthday out of this black linen from fabrics-store.com

very exciting to be doing that. I'm also going to be starting on my

birthday present for myself which the tea house dress from Sew House 7. You'll

remember in that video I talked about purchasing a purple and white cross dyed

linen from fabrics-store.com and as I was waiting for it to go on sale they

sold out of it and I was devastated because I love purple. That was a

expensive fabric but I was willing to spend the money on it for myself as a

birthday present. My best friend helped me out and she went searching online and

found this cross dyed Merlot and white linen from fabrics.com and so I

purchased it and it is so soft and smooth it is even more purple in person

than it looked online so very happy about it and very excited to be working with it.

Recently while I was walking around Hobby Lobby I found this little bag in

the embroidery section and they had like some tassels and patches and stuff to

sew onto it as kind of a project thing and I love the kind of coppery rose gold

leather, faux leather on the bottom of the bag so I knew that I wanted to buy

it and do something with it. I got a selection of matching embroidery

floss and also some coppery beads in the bead section. I'm not sure what I'm going

to embroider on it yet I was thinking maybe like a very geometric pattern so

I have to look some up, but that's kind of going to be my little hand sewing

project for this month to keep me occupied while I'm watching TV and things like that.

Another project that I'm thinking about doing for this month is actually going

to be more of a dying project as I was working on unpacking I found this

project that I had made about a year ago it's quite large so you can't really see

it properly but this is a knitted dress and I knit this dress

not by hand actually I knitted it on a knitting machine while I was doing some

training for my job and I love this dress so much it was inspired by another

dress they had sitting on a mannequin in the showroom when I was doing my

training but I knitted it out of this wonderful soft wool yarn that they

had there. I have to dye it because it has some oil stains on it so I'm

thinking I'm gonna dye it a really lovely fall color maybe something in the

mulberry family or maybe I'm thinking also an olive green. So I'm just going to

dye it. It has like this split off part of the skirt to give it kind of like a

lovely little frill and asymmetric detailing on the side so I'm going to

sew some clear elastic in to that just to give it more support from the weight

of the fabric and just finish it up basically so that I can actually wear it.

It's a tank top dress with a turtleneck and so I'm really excited that I found

it in all my stuff and I'm really excited to see how it turns out and give

it like a little fall dress. That's mostly it for my sewing plans this month

the only other sewing related thing that I'm doing this month is I'm

participating in the #sewphotohop on Instagram. I did make an Instagram

so that I could kind of show off my sewing. I do post a lot of little silly

things on my story while I'm sewing as I get kind of a little cooped up in my

sewing room, the longer I stay there the sillier I get. So make sure that you

go follow me on instagram as well my Instagram is msjennl10 just the

same as my YouTube username and I hope that everyone else participates in the

#sewphotohop. It's been really fun so far seeing everyone else

participating. Thanks so much for watching! In the comments below tell me

DON'T LET HUBSPOT NAME YOUR CHILDREN | AskMeJP Episode 10 - Duration: 3:42.

This week on #AskMeJP I'm gonna talk about how HubSpot revolutionizes SEO

with their new content strategy tool... called "Content Strategy" and also Google

AdWords is seeing some big changes in regards to automation and machine

learning

Hi everyone Jesse Perreault here from Soap Media. HubSpot, a leading provider in

inbound marketing and sales software just announced the launch of "Content

Strategy" a tool that will help marketers discover new topics to write about that

match the way people search and buy. To give you an idea Google receives more

than 3.5 billion search queries per day now the tool uses machine learning to

surface recommendations that are relevant to a user's business and

content that would perform well in searches. Using content strategy

marketers can find topics to write about and easily organize them into topic

cluster a topic cluster is an SEO strategy that focuses on topics as

opposed to keywords as I mentioned in a few videos back we see the way voice

search is affecting search queries while topic clusters is just one of the many

changes in SEO. The goal is to optimize existing content and build clusters that

will increase authority and organic traffic. Now one of my favorite

components is the data interpretation we'll be able to see the views and clicks

and most importantly see what kind of customers we gained from each topic

cluster now we'll be able to see what works and what doesn't. Earlier this year

Google launched a beta test that automatically launched machine generated

ads in small AdWords accounts now it wasn't well perceived in regards to the

controls in the environment of the beta now Google wants a second shot at it and

they're going to take advertisers concerns into consideration. A Google

spokesperson told search engine land "We always listen to our customers. We heard

their concerns around the initial experiment and so we have developed this

updated program to reflect those concerns"

over the last several months google has stated that ad groups containing three

to five ad variations have significantly more impressions and clicks than ad

groups that have one or two ads this will automate the buildup of ad

variations in ad groups but the overall aim is to understand what makes people

click as the models gain more feedback on what drives clicks they will be able

to adapt and change the ad format accordingly to give you better results

so what's the takeaway from this week's video well SEO is changing, the technical

aspects of SEO still exist and they're still powerful but there are new forms

and variants of SEO such as this content method I've mentioned that are changing

the way we approach it for instance you know the principles of value and

relevance still exist but the way that that's formed now is is much different

with topic clusters than it was before secondly Google continues to use machine

learning to increase the overall add relevance and give a better experience

GET THE LOOK FOR LESS| SELENA GOMEZ' STREET STYLE SUMMER OUTFITS - Duration: 6:54.

Hello guys welcome back to my channel.

I've been so excited about this video because it is a Get the look for less video

And the last one I did was a while ago when I first started my channel.

Get the look video is a little more time consuming to make than others because it's not simple to find similar clothes to those of celebrities'.

I think Selena Gomez has been killin it lately with her streetstyle

and I've seen so many cute summer looks of hers that I want to re-create

I picked out 3 looks for this video; well actually 4 but I wasn't too happy with how one of the looks turned out so I decided not to include it.

I hope you enjoy and definitely let me know your celeb crush that I can make get the look video for.

If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Let's get to it.

For the first look, I re-created a very casual everyday outfit.

What caught my eyes are the orange mules.

You know my obsession for mules and these are seriously so cute.

Hers costs about $435 and I found a very similar pair as you saw in the video for about $40 from ASOS and the brand is Lost Ink.

They're probably out of stock by now but I will try my best to find them and link them down below for you.

If not, I will probably link some similar options

She had on a colorful striped fuzzy knit sweater and the closest thing I can find is this off the shoulder top.

I think they give very similar looks with the colorful stripes

I got mine from SheIn and I also saw something similar on Forever 21 with darker color which will be perfect for Fall so definitely check that one out.

She wore some pretty casual straight leg jeans and those are everywhere but I will link some options in the description as well.

Last but not least, she accesorized with a crossbody pink bag from J.W Anderson and the price is insane, I think around $1500 or so.

Luckily I have this clutch from MIssguided that I got a while ago and it's a perfect substitution to what she has.

Moving on to second look and this is probably my favorite.

She had on an oversized and super distressed denim overalls from Urban Outfitters

and I actually found the exact one on Urban Outfitters website but the point is to pay less so I picked some these overalls from Forever 21

I sized up a little bit to get the oversized look.

Her grey crop top is also from Urban Outfitters and I got mine from Lulu's.

It's kinda crazy how hard it was to find a basic plain grey crop top, or maybe I didn't look at the right places.

For shoes, she was wearing some white sneakers and I'm sure we all have some white sneakers in our closet

Any kind of white sneakers would work for this look

so this is definitely a great look to recreate because most likely the only missing thing is the oversized denim overalls.

Last look is also with an overall piece.

Overalls are not something I usually reach for but I do love it and just got inspired from seeing how Selena wears her overalls.

Her overall dress i is definitely a statement with the patent leather

but I picked up a denim one because I think it's more wearable for everyday

Underneath the dress she was wearing a simple red t-shirt

And I already have this red tee from Adidas that is perfect for this look

To complete the look, she went for the famous Gucci Ace Leather Sneakers

But similar with what I mentioned in the second look, any white sneakers will work

Mine is from Missguided that I actually already owned

So yeah definitely look into your closet before going out and buying something new

Alright guys that is all I've got for today's video

Don't forget to my channel and stay tuned for my new videos

I will see you next time. Bye!

FASTasFUCK - EPIC PB&J - Duration: 3:16.

Hello InnerTubers.

I just got back from a week-long trip and I remembered to stop at the store and get a

loaf of bread on the way home from the airport.

I was feeling really smug.

Yeah.

But then, this morning, I realized I had nothing breakfast-y to go on the bread or between

the bread, or . . . well, crap.

Only one thing to do – reach for the peanut butter.

But, wait, before I go any further, please click the little pink fucker down in the corner

if you're not already subscribed.

YES, peanut butter on toast is often my go-to nourishment when I "oh shit, slept in too late."

Protein, right?

Too many carbs, maybe.

But soooooooo fucking yummy.

Easy, fast, and epic!

AS FUCK!

I was halfway through this slice when I remembered . . . the plum jam.

I had slaved over a hot fucking stove making 6 batches of jam before I left

on my trip.

My plum tree was exceptionally fertile this year.

She and the bees - whoring around for hours, apparently.

BONUS: I still have enough prepared fruit for one more batch.

I actually poured some from the last batch into a bowl because it was not quite enough

for a full jar.

That has to be eaten immediately, right?

Well, who better?

And when better?

To dip into that shit? [takes bite] mmmm mmmmm You know, it's one thing to have peanut

butter toast.

It's quite another to have a full pb&j.

I'm instantly 6 years old in my gramma's kitchen when I make a pb&j.

She baked bread at least 3 times a week.

Oh, man, the smell.

We wanted to tear into it as soon as it came out of the oven, but, oh no, that couldn't

happen 'cuz if we did that, we'd have nothing but a big gloppy mess.

These days I have my toaster oven to recreate that memory.

My friend Bobbo also loves toast so this video is especially for him.

As you can see, you have to spread everything all the way to the edges.

This particular batch was a little more runny than the others, so I think I might use it

for pancake syrup.

I'm going full little kid on this one – crusts off, triangles.

Now, you know the best part about triangles?

You can dab some more jam on the top.

mmmmm

Now that's fuckin' epic.

You can have your French toast pb&j, and whatever the fuck, but that right there is full-on,

6-year old comfort food.

Please give this a thumbs-up.

Comment and tell me about your favorite childhood food memory.

Share it with all your friends, family and your socials.

Follow me on the Facebook, the twitter, the YouTube, the Instagram, the Live Me.

Everything, I'm everywhere.

Except Snapchat.

That's for babies.

Always, always remember: Granny Loves You.

Mwah.

[music plays softly]

Richard Dawkins Reveals How Science Really Works: Imagination, Intuition, Evidence, and Truth - Duration: 4:18.

The first chapter of 'Science in the Soul' is called 'The Values of Science and the Science

of Values'.

And it does, of course, give prominence to objective truth.

There is a kind of whispering campaign—more than a whispering campaign, sometimes a yelling

campaign—against the value of objective truth.

Science, I think, is committed to objective truth; we're committed to the view that

truth is independent of the cultural background of the scientist, for example.

So as I said in the book, an experiment done in a lab in New York can be replicated in

a lab in New Delhi, and if it's all done correctly in the same way they'll get the

same result.

Science's belief in objective truth works.

Engineering technology based upon the science of objective through achieves results: it

manages to build planes that get off the ground, it manages to send people to the moon and

explore Mars with robots, and land robotic vehicles on comets.

Science works.

Science produces antibiotics, it produces vaccines that work.

So anybody who chooses to say, "Oh, there's no such thing as objective truth, it's all

subjective, it's all socially constructed," tell that to a doctor, tell that to a space

scientist.

Manifestly, science works and the view that "there is no such thing as objective truth"

doesn't.

Science proceeds, I believe, in the sort of Popperian view that science proceeds by intuitive

leaps of the imagination, building an idea of what might be true and then testing it

by experiment, by observation, in the second phase.

It's a kind of Darwinian selection of mutation, which is provided by the imagination.

So intuition is very important, but it is important that scientists should not be so

wedded to their intuition that they omit the very important testing phase, and if their

hypothesis is disproved they should regard that as a reason to reject the hypothesis

or modify it, not a reason to just carry on doggedly sticking to the hypothesis because

they are intuitively committed to it.

The phrase 'critical thinking' is quite a cliché but it is immensely important.

And so I think that I really could sum it up by saying what we need is critical thinking;

we need to respect evidence, we need to respect the fact that the only reason to believe anything

about the real world is evidence.

The evidence must be assessed critically, preferably statistically and logically.

You cannot derive truths about the real world by intuition alone, by feelings alone, by

what feels good.

People who say things like, "All opinions are equally valid," or, "Well, it's

true for me, it may not be true for you."

Never tolerate that kind of thing.

The only reason to believe anything is true is that there's evidence, and everybody

should either look at the evidence for themselves or they should trust that the person they're

talking to has looked at the evidence in a scientific, logical, rational, critical way.

Just for example, I'm not qualified to assess the evidence of modern physics experiments,

I'm just not qualified.

So I have to trust—this is not trusting authority so much as trusting the scientific

method, which I know has been used by physicists whom I can't directly assess, it has been

used by physicists who are using the same techniques as I know work in my own field

of biology.

MY BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT EVER!!! | BEAUTYSPECTRUM - Duration: 9:19.

MERCH LAUNCH

You

Okay, so

I'm pretty sure that most of you have probably got the general just at this video by now, but if you haven't I

Am bringing our merch, and it is currently live on sale right now

So I wanted to film this video because I really wanted to talk you guys through it

I could have just posted this on social media, and you guys would have understood the exact same

But I thought I wanted to sit down. I'm literally just filming this on my vlogging camera. It's just prop 2 up

I've got no lighting

I'm just sat on my bed looking a mess

Because I just want to have a chat to you about this because it's something I'm so excited for and also

super nervous to like show you guys this has been like my

little thing like my little project and not that many people have well nobody has helped me with it and

Nobody aside from my management have helped me with this like I've done this on my own

I have my friends to help me and Tom has obviously been a huge help but aside from like

Tom and management and me there hasn't been anybody else involved it's been very very small

I haven't even told a lot of my friends about this because it's so like

Nerve-wracking to me that I am bringing out product so if you didn't really gather from that video

I am bringing out three phone cases on two hoodies now

I have it all here so that I can show you so the first phone case is this one now

I love them all obviously I mean I designed them

But the this is my favorite one because the right there's like reasoning behind all of this

I don't want you guys to think any of it is like meaningless because

It isn't like everything I've designed have designed it for a reason and this one is the same as my channel header

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

MERCH

So if you go onto my channel at the moment on YouTube my header is this sky photo

And then I've used the original star print that I had on my very very first youtube banner

And I've just designed it like this

This is probably my favorite one the second one is the one that's currently on my phone

So that's this one now this was my previous YouTube header

So if you've been subscribed for a while you might remember this as my YouTube header so again

It is very very similar, and it's just got my beauty spectrum font at the bottom

I really really love this and then the last one is one that matches the hoodies

So it's in this like gorgeous off grey brown color sounds really strange, but I absolutely love it

And then it's got the writing in the baby pink which is the same color as the hoodie if you didn't color from the video?

And again it has my name on it at the bottom, but very small on this one and then for the hoodies

I've actually brought out two so this is the first one it is in this gorgeous baby pink color and

The writing says if you can imagine it you can make it happen

Which is the same as the phone case and then I've also brought out this hoodie in grey so it's the same

So I've got this gorgeous

Charcoal gray color with the writing on the pocket where a pocket would be

So obviously there isn't like an actual pocket

But if there was like that is where the writing would be

And it's got this really nice hood now in the videos me and my friends are wearing a size medium

And it is a little bit too big for me

But that's just how I wanted it like it doesn't fit me tie it

So I would say I feel smaller than I am I'm 5 foot 7 and

you're probably going to be okay getting a small if you're interested in buying them and

Because to be honest a small would fit me, but I've gone for a bigger size

So they will be stopped in small medium and large

So yeah that is what I brought out two hoodies and three phone cases

And I wanted to stick with the motto if you can imagine it you can make it happen because that has been my Instagram bio

Since I started this whole thing which was three years ago today, so today is actually

Beauty spectrums birthday if you if you want to put it like that and because three years ago today September the 8th

I created my Instagram account

and if you go back to my very first post you will see that that is the date that that is from and I

Made it with the hope of getting to 200 Instagram followers because that is what I really wanted and now I'm stuck here

Talking to potentially almost

74,000 of you which is

Incredible and like I don't want to just sound like I'm saying it for the sake of saying it, but I am so

Incredibly grateful that I am sitting here

I'm 17 years old

And I've just brought out a product range like obviously it's not like these aren't gonna be

Like the next zoella beauty or anything like that like it isn't that but it's something that I can like say it's mine and that

I've designed it. I've gone through the like production process. I know how they've been made

I know like how the pricing is working the bin to the side of it all and it's very very

Like it is it's complicated. It's a very long process, and I've watched people be like oh

it's been going on behind the scenes for ages and now like I really understand that because this doesn't happen overnight like this hasn't just

Happened since last week this has been

Ongoing since like April main time. I think now so

Four or five months. It's been in the planning process

Been in the production process

So I'm so excited to be able to finally share it with you

That is a link obviously in the top line in the description as to where you can go and purchase this

I also really recommend that you follow my new Instagram account

I've made a beauty spectrum much Instagram account it is on screen now go and give that a cheeky follow because I'll be posting updates

Giveaways information on possible new products because I don't want this to be the end like I know that

I've only just brought this one up. I am thinking of like more ideas if you guys like it

We are obviously we have to see how it goes, but I'm hoping you guys like it, and I'm like really

Excited and I feel so lucky to be able to do this, so I'm not taking this for granted at all like it's insane

So yeah head over to my Instagram

I'll be posting loads and loads of pictures of the products because me and my friends went on a photo shoot to be honest a

Lot of you guessed it like a lot of you knew because I kind of gave it away

But I wanted to do that to let tease you I didn't do that by accident

So yeah the pictures that we took that day will be going up across my social media

So I'm sorry if you follow me and you're gonna get bombarded with it because I really like the photos

We took so if you do want to be in

The loop with what's going on and in with the chance of winning some price because I want to do giveaways quite a lot with

It make sure that you are following my new Instagram account which is beauty spectrum underscore merch that is basically everything

Let me know down in the comments what your favorite

Product is and what you're thinking of buying because I would love to know if you're thinking of buying something

I mean yeah, I also I forgot to mention the first 50 orders are going to get a handwritten. Thank-you card, so

That is how I'm spending my next few days, so ahh

but yeah if you're in the first 50 you're gonna be sent a

hundred a note so if you want to get one of those make sure that you order as soon as possible because

Ya, thought was a bit more personal. Don't hums

pretty excited

But yeah, I'm gonna go be sure to be following my Instagram be sure to be subscribed for further updates

And thank you guys for making this possible. I'm sorry that I've literally just sat on my bed about to go to school

Looking a scruffy math

I just wanted to chat to you because I'm so excited and I started this whole thing three years ago

And if you'd have told me three years ago, I remember I was sat on my chair in my living room

I was just like in the arm telling you know what I'm gonna make an Instagram account

And if you'd have told me then that three years ago

Today like three it like three is on I would be sapped talking to a lot a lot more like

A lot of people potentially nearly like a hundred thousand people like potentially potentially it's not quite

but but India's and

Telling them that I was bringing out like hoodies and phone cases

I would literally have just laughing me like you are sounded so yours. Yeah, but oh my god. Oh my god

I could just sit here and say stuff like this all day, so I'm gonna go

But thank you guys so much you have no idea how much your support means

And has man and is continuing to mean to me like it means everything so yeah

I want to give something back to you guys. I hope that you are excited

I hope you can tell that I'm excited and I hope you really like the products like I want to know

When you get them, if you like them what your favorites are

And I want to see pictures of you wearing the hoodies and using the phone case it's like I want to see also make sure

You keep me in the loop my social media apps are on screen and always link below, and yeah, I'm gonna go

Thank you for watching

I love you all a lot, and I will see you tomorrow know, and I'll see you on Sunday with a vlog so yeah, bye

How to 10X Your Results With the Law of Attraction (This ACTUALLY Works) - Duration: 10:36.

Welcome back to another video my name is Aaron, and I help people

Expand their consciousness now this video. I'm gonna be sharing with you how to

10x your results with the law of attraction

Now my intention for this video is to give you some practical tools towards

expanding the

Vision that you have for what you want to create and then also give you a game plan as to how you can get there

in the most efficient way possible

With the best results now. This is something I've applied in my own life

This is something that when it comes to the law of attraction

This is the thing that I see so many people

Missing out on and so people honestly don't like it when I say this I get comments on my channel

Every now and then of people saying you know that I don't understand the concept because you don't have to take

Action to get the results that you want

But I I just I understand that there are some people that may take very little action and get good results

I understand there are some people that things just fell under their lap when it comes to the law of attraction

But in general if you study any successful person

If you study anybody that's obtained the amount of success that maybe inspires you

You'll notice that every single one of them have had to take massive action at some point in their life

now the idea behind this is that maybe they've had to take massive action for a certain period of time and then it gets to

Autopilot to where it's easier and easier

But in order to create luck in your life in order to create massive opportunities

You're gonna have to take action and this video is going to help you understand how to correlate emotion

With action and how when you do that you gain an ability to really get the results that you want much

Faster now me for example as some of you may know as I tell this story a lot

understanding the growth of this YouTube channel because back in February

I only have maybe

four - or four thousand subscribers the massive amount of difference that made was the

Action I was taking I went from taking and making one video a week every Monday. I would one video

That would be it for the whole week

and I would I would

Rationalize to myself that I was working hard and I would sit there and think of what was the next video

I was going to create for the next following Monday one day

I just simply decided that I was going to make a video every single day because the vision I had for myself

I said in a year from now

What is the one thing that would completely change my life if I simply did it if I did something every day

What's the one thing every day I could do for me that was making a video every day now keep in mind

I worked a job about for 35 to 40 hours a week so to do that it required a lot of

Sacrifice on the sense of a lot of my free time went towards making videos every day now of course

I love making videos, so it wasn't like it was that hard to do

But it definitely required a lot of time management it required me to put a lot of energy into it now

When I did that it within a month or two things started to pick up I went from getting maybe

Three to five hundred subscribers a month to eventually three thousand a month and then 15 to 20 thousand a month

And then it levels out from there

But the idea is that I 10x to my results by 10x seeing the amount of action

I was taking but also the amount of motion and focus that I was putting into it

So what I want to encourage you to do first off is to have a vision for what you want to

Experience or what you want to create, maybe your vision is you know I'd like to find my dream job, or a job

That's better than where I'm at. I'd like to make

30,000 a year

Well what you could do from a certain perspective what you could do is you could ten?

Exit you could say and this may seem really realistic for many people, but you could say my intention is to make

$300,000 this year now that is unrelatable for some people and what I'm saying is do what works for you

But what you could do is you could set your Sun your Heights?

What you could do is set your sights and much further of a vision what you priorly did?

And then what you must then do is map out what it will take to get there you may realize that you have to completely

Change your game plan, but what you can

Then do is see that you're going to have to folk up focus

What you'll see is that you then have to focus on it way more than you were before

You're going to have to take a certain series actions to get there and what you can

Then do is simply decide that you're going to take those actions you're going to do things every day that gets you closer to that

What you realize is that in any?

Period of us taking a massive amount of action the only time that it is very hard to do is in the very beginning stages

Because in the very beginning stages we don't have momentum on our sides

now

Me it is very

Easy for me to create a video a day because it's just a part of who I am it's a part of what I do

Now it still requires a lot of my time and attention

But it is much easier

because

I've done it so many times before I don't think to myself and worry am I gonna be able to come up with the video

Today is there ideas that I can do what can I do that's fresh and new?

The idea is I simply know that when I turn on the camera when I get in front of it

I will have something that comes through and when I have that attitude when I have those prior reference experiences

It's easy for it to happen because I have momentum on my side

Now what I want to encourage you to do is to pay attention?

To the kind of actions you can take that are gonna leverage you in the direction of what you want

But to first off expand the vision for what you want to experience

Maybe if you don't 10 exit which I do I do encourage you to 10x it even though it might seem unrealistic

but understand that if you have the goal of

300,000 and you even only make

75,000 dollars

That year and your prior goal was thirty thousand

You've still done yourself justice because you would have never hit that seventy five thousand dollar mark if it weren't for you

expanding your own vision

So you must expand your own vision you must understand that with the daily

Activities of taking action you will generate more emotion

so this is about also the

Emotion that we feel in the process and feeling the emotion comes with the action

But feeling the emotion comes also with the focus how much are you focusing on what you want to experience? I?

Didn't make my side hustle my full time until I treated it like my full time

I treated YouTube as my full-time job before it became my full time job

But guess what it eventually turned into it because of the amount of focus

I was putting into it what you can. Do is if there's anything you want to create in your life

If you like doing art if you want to become an athlete if there's certain things with business that you want to do

Treat it like it is your full-time already

Don't put one foot in and have one foot out put both feet dive right into it the more you dive into it

The more you will you get what you put into it. I've noticed that the more

I put into YouTube the more I put into sharing these ideas with you the more that came back after me and the more

Contribution I feel because I get messages from you guys every day saying how much it's helped you or how it's impacted you

That's what drives me

That's what makes me go further and further and take more and more action

But understand the beginning stages is the only time it's really hard to take action

I promise you I I would look at how I work now

And I would think that it was probably kind of crazy like why are you working so hard to do what you do?

Why can't you just Coast and feel comfortable with what you're doing now?

It's because it's just a part of who I am but it feels great to feel the momentum

Now think of it in the form of a diet for example

When is a diet hard to do or when is eating clean or going to the gym hard to do just in the beginning stages?

Once you tailor your tastebuds to eating a certain way

Once you make it a daily routine that you're going to go to the gym or even like

Three times a week four times a week if you don't do that and you've already done it for two or three weeks it will

Feel different for you

It'll feel like you're not doing what you're supposed to be doing

It will feel almost harder to not go to the gym

Than it will to go to the gym now the idea behind

This is to develop the momentum to understand that as you expand your vision as you

Simply know that your potential is far outside of the limits you're currently giving yourself let yourself

Expand let yourself stretch outside of what you think you can do if I were to look at myself

Close to 1,800 thousand subscribers now, and I want to see that a year ago. I would think that that was unattainable

I'd be like no I could probably hit 20,000 subscribers

Maybe thirty thousand subscribers, but see that was under the old way of thinking that was under a limited weight and perception

Expand what you can do and know that as you expand your vision as you simply decide

You are going to do everything that you can

To get closer to that and to make it happen and from that point of view

Map out the actions that are necessary 10x your actions 10x your emotion 10x your focus

Every day decide to do things that bring you closer to it

I promise you that you will get the results that you want

This is something that is guaranteed to work because as you modify your actions as you leverage yourself

And you pay attention to what actions are working for you, and you simply decide you're going to take more action

Eventually it becomes something that works on autopilot. You'll find that you become lucky things just start happening to you

You know just recently I was offered to go to a trip somewhere completely paid everything for seven days in

Exchange for making a video you know that would have never happened a year ago

But these lucky things keep happening these opportunities keep opening up because of the massive action that I've taken

So what I want to encourage you to do is to do something similar expand your vision start to take massive action

Tailor the highest leverage points that you can and watch how lucky you become watch how it becomes something that you love doing

The work won't feel like work because you actually enjoy doing it

And that's what I hope you are able to experience as well as how much

taking action can really make you feel amazing so with that being said I hope you guys enjoyed this video feel free to

Home Decorating ~ Downsizing & The Empty Nest ~ Ep. 1 - Duration: 8:51.

[Audio Length: 0:08:50] RECORDING COMMENCES:

Rajka Hayden: About eighteen months ago, Doug and I decided

to downsize our house where we were living.

We moved from a big suburban four-bedroom house to a small two-bedroom condo.

We moved into a more central part of San Diego County, which is really nice and centrally

located and we've very much enjoyed this.

The downsizing process was kind of interesting, figuring out what to bring, how to get rid

things and we actually went through so much memorabilia and everything else.

I'm going to talk a little bit about that and how we did it.

Also, now that we know that we like living like this, we're ready to spruce up our

place.

I'm going to talk to you about how we're doing that and maybe have a little series

on sprucing up our house.

I'm working with my best friend to do it, so it's going to be so much fun.

But first, thank you so much for watching.

Please subscribe if you're new to the channel and you like what you're seeing.

If you are a regular watcher and subscriber, thank you so very much, it's so appreciated.

We are also on social media, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, @Thedressupmom, #Thedressupmom.

We have been empty nesters for a bit, for a couple of years.

The house that we were in is where the kids were for the majority of their high school

and growing up and all of the extra space that we had reminded us of them not being

there, so we were really ready for a change.

We really like this process of living in a condo.

We're in a building with a lot of college students, we're near a campus, so we've

got college students, other people our age.

It's really diverse.

It's really close to everything in San Diego and we really, really like it.

It was really interesting trying to figure out what we would bring and what we would

leave.

We had a fun thing that we did.

We went around the house and Doug and I each put a sticky note on something if we really

wanted to keep it.

If it was special and meaningful, we put our name with a sticky note on it.

So, anything that had two sticky notes made it for sure.

Some of the one sticky notes we talked about and didn't bring.

Somehow everything we brought fit in our house really well and it has meaning.

A lot of the furniture we've had for a really long time and it doesn't have meaning and

could be spruced up.

It was also interesting because our kids really didn't want a whole lot of anything.

Even a lot of the memorabilia and stuff that we were saving, they didn't want.

They came and took what they wanted, like a small box.

Everything else we donated, we had a nice big garage sale which was really fun and made

the move and are quite comfortable where we are now.

My best friend, Jackie, loves doing interior design and interior decorating.

Like me and clothes, she doesn't have a formal background, but she's really good

at it.

She's found and learned a lot about interior decorating, designing.

She's got a great eye, great taste, knows where to get all the bargains.

This is really not my area of expertise.

So, what I like to do with clothes and fashion, Jackie loves to do with the house.

I saw her last weekend and she was asking if we needed some help with things, and Doug

and I both decided it was probably time to spruce things up a little bit.

First on our list is a couch.

We bought the couch that we currently have from the people that were living here before

us.

It's been fine while we've been living here, but it's starting to get a little

bit old.

Doug calls it the Frat couch, so we want to upgrade that and that is the first thing that

Jackie's going to help us with.

But, we're also going to do a full spruce up and have Jackie come, take a tour of the

house, talk about what we're going to change and put together a plan.

So, my idea is that I'll do a little series of sprucing up the house.

Today, I'm going to do a house tour and we'll show you the before shots, so you'll

see what our house looks like before we start anything.

We're also going to Macy's, Doug and I, to look at a couch that Jackie's found for

us.

We sent her pictures, she hasn't even been to the place, but we sent her pictures and

talked about what we were wanting and she already found for us, the perfect couch.

So, we're just going to go and check that out and see if we end up buying it or what

we do next.

Here's our front door with a reminder to be happy when you come and go.

You lead right into the open space with our living room and dining room area.

Here's the kitchen, it's not very bit, but still works really well for me, I have

everything in there that I need.

I am noticing that it does look a little bit cluttered when I see it like this.

This area right off the kitchen opens up to a nice compact washer and dryer that I use

all the time and it's tucked away when I'm not using it.

This leads out to our dining room area, where I notice I have a lot of things exposed, there's

not a lot of storage space right now in the place.

This is an outdoor patio, small little patio/balcony, that has a storage closet behind it.

There's that frat couch I was talking about.

My favorite piece in the house is my dining room table and chairs which I got from my

grandparents.

It's from the 1930s, Indian rattan with a Formica cover.

I can't wait for that couch to be absolutely gone.

There's some nice art that my husband bought when he was back in 20s that we've had for

a long time.

Mother Theresa, our salt lamp and some of our other things that we've collected over

the years.

The mirror to make the room look bigger.

We have a nice mounted big screen TV that we enjoy.

This is our spare room.

Right now, it's turned into a storage area and our office space.

I keep all of my supplies for filming and lights in there.

Very disjointed, it doesn't have anything really in there that works together very well.

We do have a blow-up mattress for when we have guests, but we currently don't have

a bed in this room.

This is the bathroom off of the guest room.

The shower area in here that my husband uses.

This is our bedroom.

This is an Indian comforter that I bought from a vendor in California that I have enjoyed.

This leads out to another outdoor patio area.

This is where I store my surfboard.

You can't really see it outside.

Some more art.

This is my hope chest from when I was 16 years old.

These nightstands are very exposed as well, they show a lot of clutter now that I look

at it.

We have two paintings in here that my mother-in-law painted that I really love.

That's us when we first when we first were engaged.

This right here is a curio cabinet that my uncle made for me, also when I was probably

about 18 years old.

We're going into Macy's where Jackie gave us all these instructions on couches.

Look at all these couch options.

I would have been lost here if Jackie didn't tell us exactly what we were looking for and

what we wanted, it would have been super overwhelming for me.

So, it was nice to know exactly what to ask for and what we want.

We're off to a great start, we talked to Jackie on the phone so many times at Macy's,

but we ended up buying the leather couch.

It's going to look great in our place and really going to be a center piece and spruce

things up.

Jackie's ideas of what we're going to do around that are incredible.

I can't wait to show you guys all of that.

The couch is going to take a couple of months to get here, so that's okay, we'll design

around it and show you guys how this all turns out.

I think it's going to be great fun.

In the meantime, again thanks for watching and until next time, dress it up a little.
