hello welcome back this is the nGendr
video. This week we're going to talk about
relationships - yeah the tricky one!
When you come out as trans your
relationships change, sometimes just
little, sometimes quite a lot and
sometimes they get broken entirely. I've
had all of that. I lost marriage to being
trans and but I kept my parents and ... some
changes ... they're pretty okay, but in this
video I'm going to talk about my relationship
with my daughter. She was eight when
I came out and I think that's a really
good age to tell kids; it's not so young
that they haven't got a clue and it's not so
old that they're set in their ways
horrified and it was still pretty hard
though to come out and tell her even
though the actual explanation went
pretty well. I just said I didn't
like being a boy and I was going to ask
the doctors to give me some medicine to
make me into a girl and she accepted this fine
and the only thing she said was can I still
call you Dad and I said yeah of course, if thats what you want to call me
For me, and I know some people ask their
kids to change but to me it was much more
important that my daughter was
comfortable so it was going to be a bit
squirmy for me, I could see that but
tough ... you know? My fault
After it sunk in, a couple of weeks
later she asked me a couple of questions about
you know bits. So I explained about surgery
and that you could get them changed
I didn't go into a huge amount of detail
I did more recently when actually surgery and
she's a bit older but both times she's fine
she's like, you know, if that's how it is ,thats how it is
And she still calls me Dad and now
shes a bit older she doesn't call me Dad in
the ladies toilets across the cubicles
really loudly, which she used to do, which
was a "little" tiny bit cringey ... Yeah!
But we got over that stage
thankfully and she's only been worried
really once and that was when I had my
facial surgery, when I was going to go
for facial surgery and she was worried
that she wasn't going to recognise me, so I explained
that the idea is just to make me look
more feminine, a bit like my sister you know, if I'd
had a sister that's what I would look like and
she's like ok with that and so I got her involved in
the whole process and asked her to choose me a
cuddly toy to take with me and look after me
so meet Wingy. This is the guy that
my daughter bought me. Well I bought, but you
know kids! But she chose
Wingy because ...
and
after surgery, which was a little bit rough, I waited
until all the bruises and the horribleness
had gone and then went and saw her and she was
fine. Just had a good look and recognized
me. My voice was the same ... unfortunately
but yeah she's fine
So thats all good and we still go out you know
We still go out together, we do things about
town
no bother. She doesn't mind being seen with
me and you know that that's that's part
of the reason i had my facial surgery is
so that when she got to her teenage years
you know wouldnt refuse to be seen with me
well, no more than usual because youre
a parent but yeah
we're okay. The only thing I don't do is get
involved with her school. We decided, my ex and
myself, that it would be best if I stayed
away so she hasn't got to deal with it
so she doesn't have to come out
on my behalf really. She doesn't get .... No risk of being
bullied because of who I am. So its a bit
sad. It means like no school plays
no parents' evenings, no open days. I've
never seen her school except from the outside
and its a bit sad, but I still get to be Dad and
also Lisa and it's gonna be okay I think
We'll get through it. It's not been a disaster

Kid's Craft Magic Wand - Duration: 3:57.Alright, today we're going to make a really fun magic wand.
So, I'm going to take my silver Bowdabra Bow Wire and fold it in half and lay it into my
Bowdabra and just tuck the ends underneath so they stay out of my way.
But they're not attached to anything.
Now I'm going to take my Bowdabra Scrunchie Ribbon and I'm just going to center it and
scrunch it down into the Bowdabra.
And then I'm going to take my gold Bowdabra Scrunchie Ribbon and I am going to just scrunch
it into my Bowdabra.
And kind of push that down there.
And I'm just going to use the Bowdabra wand.
Okay, that was really smart.
I can't even use my Bowdabra wand the right way.
There we go.
I have my Bowdabra wand in there.
And I have these cute little beads.
And what I'm going to do is put a little bit of glue right on the end, just a tad.
There we go.
And I'm going to glue my star onto the end of my beads and just lay that into the Bowdabra.
Now with the magic of video, I already have some other ones.
Actually, I'm going to go opposite.
And I already have some other ones glued on.
So, I'm just going to lay these down into the Bowdabra.
Once again, I'm just going to take my wand and scrunch it down.
And I'm going to take the ends and pull it through my slipknot.
Hold my bow down, pull it really tight while it's still in the Bowdabra.
Pull it out, bring the ends around to the back and I'm going to tie it off.
And I'm going to knot it just so that I'm sure it stays all together.
And I'm going to clip the ends close to the Bowdabra.
Then I'm going to take my dowel.
I'm just going to put a little drop of glue right here and put my dowel and glue it on
there.
And now -- whoops, I should have let it dry a little bit longer.
And then now we have this really cute magic wand that you could use for any kind of costume,
any sort of party.
Your little girls can do magic.
Your little boys can do magic.
Just have fun with our wonderful Bowdabra magic wand.

Dive Conditions Report For Caloundra 22 February 2017 Sunshine Coast Queensland Australia #ScubaDive - Duration: 2:49.
Hey people of the interwebs it is Q,
bringing you, your dive conditions
midweek report and here at the Caloundra
coast guard jetty the southerlies, that are
blowing quite strong at the moment, are
chopping up the surface of The Passage
quite a lot, but it's still quite clean
under the surface. And the good news is
of course, that this weekend the tide
times are in your favor if you were
thinking of doing a drift dive in The
Pumicestone Passage. Not looking so
good in these southerlies is Kings Beach
itself, with fairly big waves rolling into
the shoreline and white caps off to
the horizon as far as the eye can see.
This southerly wind change is going
to stay with us right through to the
weekend and it's going to be generally
from the southeast on Saturday and
Sunday with swells around the 1.5 meter
mark. Taking a closer look at the water
down on Kings Beach boat ramp, the
waves don't look so big coming in here.
And trying to look through the waves, I
would say visibility currently is around
about the 2 to 3 meter mark.
Of course these big waves will be
stirring up some sediment from the bottom,
we can only hope it will settle down for
the weekend and we'll get some of that
visibility back. Here at Shelly Beach
it's a similar story, the southerlies
bringing in some fairly decent-sized
waves to the shoreline and white caps
out as far as a horizon. And of course
zero visibility here right now. It might
clear up a little bit by the weekend if
we get a drop in the wind speed, but I
wouldn't put any money on it. These
partly cloudy weather conditions are set
to stay with us for the rest of the week,
with showers possible on Saturday and
Sunday. I think it was obvious all along
what The Keyhole dive site would look
like with the current weather conditions.
But I do like the view from up here, so
I'm including it anyway. In a complete
change around from recent weeks, Moffat
Beach now becomes the most protected
dive site on the Caloundra coastline, due
to the southerly wind change and I would
say there's probably 2 maybe 3
metres of visibility at this dive spot right now.
Your tide times for this weekend,
Saturday we have a high at 7:30am and a
low of 1:52pm. Sunday we have a high at
8:06am and a lo a 2:26pm. So in summary
with the southerly wind changes coming
through Moffat Beach looks like it could
be your best bet for this weekend for
visibility and surface conditions.
Of course the winds could
drop by the weekend, which would make
Kings Beach boat ramp another potential
dive site that could be open.
