台灣《旺報》7日報道稱

大陸曾提出連接兩岸的「台灣海峽海底隧道」構想

大陸科學家近日對這條未來世界最長海底鐵路隧道在設計上達成共識。

香港《南華早報》報道稱

經過數年討論

大陸決定到2023年為止

建成連接福建省平潭縣和台灣港口城市新竹之間長達135公里的海底隧道

並計劃在海底隧道內建設可供時速250公里高速火車通行的鐵路。

如果該隧道建成

其長度將達到目前全球最長的英吉利海峽隧道的3倍有餘。

不過報道也提到

有輿論預測稱此項目恐怕在短期內難以迅速展開

原因是台灣內部可能會反對該隧道的建設；尤其是在建設海底隧道的過程中

大陸計劃建造人工島向隧道內部提供氧氣

這一計劃可能「會對台灣造成壓力」。

報道稱

海底隧道設計圖已經於去年繪製完成

大陸學術界、

隧道建設企業、

專家等為本次隧道設計提供了全力支持。

據報道

「台灣海峽海底隧道」方案其實早在近20年之前就開始研究討論。

2007年

中國工程院院士、

隧道及地下工程專家王夢恕也在海底隧道修建技術國際研討會上

把台灣海峽海底隧道列入未來可能會建設的國內海底隧道之一。

他說

廈金台之間建海底隧道在技術上是可行的

雖然基於目前兩岸現實

這條海底隧道何時擺上建設日程還是未知數

但作為一項技術探討是有價值的

並且「早研究比晚研究好」。

十三五規劃草案中出現「北京至台北高鐵」 報道還提到

此前大陸「十三五」規劃草案中就曾出現要「建設北京至台北高鐵」的提案

納入中國國家高速規劃多年、

編號為G3的縱向主幹線「京台高速公路」也被提上日程。

此前據《法制晚報》報道

福建省平潭綜合試驗區黨工委書記、

中國(福建)自貿試驗區平潭片區管委會主任張兆民2016年3月在回答媒體提問時再次提到了「京台高速」

並稱技術上已經完全沒有任何問題。

張兆民當時表示

關於京台高速公路規劃

大陸方面已經全部完成

而台灣的規劃原來的論證有北、

中、

南三條通道

都是通過海峽隧道與大陸相連。

目前

台灣方面比較傾向於北通道

而大陸選址從平潭獲取

總共126公里。

張兆民說

兩岸在技術論證上已經經歷了十年（每年一次）的技術研討會

技術上已經不成問題

海底的地質、

地貌深度的情況都已經掌握的比較齊全

現在主要取決於台灣方面。

國務院8月3日宣布關於取消一批行政許可等事項的決定

其中包括取消台港澳人員在內地就業許可事項。

國務院台辦發言人馬曉光8日表示

台灣居民來大陸工作將和大陸居民一樣

不再需要辦理專門的《台港澳人員就業證》。

馬曉光還表示

人力資源社會保障部將按照國務院的要求

Tom Brady's diet is just one of the ways the Patriots quarterback is trying to maintain his body to allow him to play football until he is 45 years old.

Brady released a book, The TB12 Method, in 2017 detailing his philosophy on health, fitness and what he eats.

Brady's diet prevents him from eating certain fruits and vegetables.

Sugar, dairy and even tomatoes are all excluded in the TB12 method.

Brady focuses on drinking lots of water and 80 percent of what he eats is vegetables, per Business Insider.

Here's how Brady described his water intake, per Forbes.

  TB12 is simple: Drink at least one-half of your body weight in ounces of water every day.

That's the minimum.

Ideally, you'll drink more than that, and with added electrolytes, too.

This makes sense, considering the composition of our bodies.

Brady focuses on eating foods that are anti-inflammatory, meaning they help speed his recovery.

Vox described Brady's philosophy on eating the right foods.

  For Brady, the "right foods" are "alkalizing" and "anti-inflammatory." Alkaline foods lower his pH level, he writes, which can help with a range of ailments, from boosting low energy to preventing bone fractures.

(He's wrong here.) Anti-inflammatory foods, meanwhile, supposedly enhance athletic performance and help speed recovery.

A Typical Day For Brady Involves Loading up on Protein, Lots of Snacking, Eating Fish & Drinking Smoothies.

The Boston Globe detailed what a typical day of eating for Brady looks like, and it may be more exhausting than you think.

Brady starts his day off with water then a smoothie a few hours later.

After working out at 8 a.m., Brady enjoys a protein shake.

By 11 a.m., all Brady's food so far has been in liquid form.

At this point, Brady okays a bit of snacking, but only foods on the approved list.

Brady's lunch normally consists of fish and a lot of vegetables.

He does not eat proteins with carbohydrates.

Brady might have another afternoon snack if he is hungry, something like an apple, grapes, banana or another protein shake.

Brady tends to eat dinner at 6 p.m.

"Dinner is another nutrient-dense meal that includes a lot of vegetables," Brady writes in his book (via the Boston Globe).

Gisele Loves Dunkin Donuts Munchkins, Which Are Anti-TB12 Method.

Gisele is with Brady in his TB12 efforts, but she admits to having her weakness.

Gisele noted that Dunkin Donuts donut holes called Munchkins are one of her cheat foods.

"Oh, my God. I cannot have one.

I have to have, like, 10," Gisele told US Weekly.

"They're so tiny.

It's a guilty pleasure.".

Another thing Gisele is serious about is meditating.

Gisele detailed her meditation routine in an interview with Vogue.

  Every time I had a challenging time and needed clarity, I would do meditation, but I wasn't consistent about it.

I would go on vacation for 10 days and meditate for an hour every day, then I would come back and maybe I wouldn't do it every day.

Whenever I felt a lot of intensity coming from all over the place, I would decide to meditate.

It wasn't until about two or three years ago that I met Mario [Orsatti, a director of the David Lynch Foundation], and he introduced me to Transcendental Meditation, that I really started to meditate more regularly.

Brady Drinks Up to 300 Ounces of Water a Day.

Brady's diet is as much about what he drinks as it is what he eats.

According to the Boston Globe, Brady drinks 12 to 25 glasses of water a day.

Brady tends to avoid alcohol, and adds his infamous electrolytes mix to anything he drinks.

Brady is also big on protein shakes and smoothies.

Brady can drink up to 300 ounces of water on particularly active days, per Forbes.

"Typically, [the smoothie] contains blueberries, bananas, seeds, and nuts," Brady writes (via the Boston Globe).

"It's nutrient dense, high in fat, high in protein, and high in calories.".

While Brady is an evangelist about drinking water, he does not drink water while eating meals.

Instead, he advises to drink a glass of water about a half an hour before you eat, and another glass an hour after the meal.

Brady believes that drinking water while eating interferes with digestion.

Brady Calls TB12 a Manual, Rather Than a Cookbook.

Brady is very particular about what you call his latest book.

In an interview with GQ, Brady corrected writer Andrew Globe about referring to TB12 as a cookbook rather than a "nutritional manual", because nothing screams fun like a manual.

After correcting Globe on the category of his book, Brady explained to GQ what motivated him to be so passionate about nutrition and health.

Well, the concept started really generically.

Five or six years ago, one of the guys I work with helped start TB12.

I learned so many different things from him because I was kind of—and still am—an aspiring athlete in a lot of ways.

I still want to reach my maximum potential, I still love doing what I do, and I want to do it as well as I can for as long as I can.

And I learned a lot of different things over the years that I would say are probably nonconventional or different from the way things have always been done…   I think I'm living proof of what it's been.

I was the kid that was the 199th pick that never had the body for it.

People didn't think I'd play one year in the NFL, and now I'm going on my 17th year.

So I actually feel like I'm a great case study, and I want to inspire athletes who do want to be their best to have a place to go where they can learn—to me—what the best information is available out there.

Not Everyone Believes the TB12 Method Works the Way Brady Claims.

Vox's Julia Belluz wrote a detailed rebuttal of Brady's dietary claims.

Belluz agrees that Brady's diet is healthy, and helps him on the football field.

However, Belluz notes Brady's dietary recommendations may not have the exact impact he lays out in his book.

  Before we go any further, let's just be clear: There's nothing wrong with Brady's diet.

While he takes some of the food restrictions (like the ban on eggplant, tomatoes, and bread) to the extreme, cutting down on junk food, sugar, and alcohol while loading up on fruits and vegetables is always a good idea.

But there are many problems with the claims Brady makes about the effects of the diet.

There's no good scientific evidence that the diet does the specific things Brady claims — neutralize the body's pH level or improve muscle recovery.

Stuart Phillips, a kinesiology professor at McMaster University, explained to Vox why Brady's claims may be unfounded.

"After doing nutrition and exercise research for almost 25 years," Phillips told Vox.

"There's lots of examples where people who are successful athletes have attributed their success to one practice or another.

But the main point is: If you pull it back and start to look at the science that underpins what people are saying, there is none there.".

Overall, Brady's adherence to a healthy diet is sure to help his desire to play into his mid-40's.

It just may not have the causation Brady has claimed for his recovery and longevity.

Chris Tarrant opens up about shameful drink-driving episode - Duration: 8:22.

 Despite a gruff coughing fit, the voice is unmistakable. "Sorry," splutters Chris Tarrant, "I had a bit of late one last night and I'm just getting myself together

"  Chris is in his £2m Berkshire mansion on a cold morning, looking out over the driveway at his beloved Bentley, which he has recently been reunited with

 He was banned from driving for nine months last year after a pub-goer reported him to police

"I was silly and I have learned my lesson. It's the small things I miss. I can't just pop down the shops, and we are right in the sticks

"  But what grates on his nerves even more is that while he has been relying on cabs and a bicycle, his partner, Jane Bird, has been taking advantage of the vacant driving seat

 "I was out of the country one way or another quite a lot last year, either working, filming or travelling, while my lady was cruising around Berkshire in my Bentley," he explains with mock indignation

 Chris, 72, is one of British TV and radio's most recognisable hosts and presenters

 From iconic Saturday morning children's show Tiswas in the 1970s, he became the voice of London as Capital Radio's long-serving breakfast DJ and hosted shows such as the Take Me Out precursor Man O Man and Tarrant On TV

 But he is perhaps best known as the host of the iconic game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, which he fronted for 15 years

 "It changed everything," says Chris. "At one point in the 1990s it was the most watched show on British TV

Nineteen million people watched it. It was huge."  Despite Chris's affinity with the show, he never watched the 20th anniversary edition in which Jeremy Clarkson stepped into his shoes

And he admits he also has no interest in the new series.  "I never saw the Jeremy Clarkson version, I was in France on holiday,' he explains

 "People asked me about it and I said, "It's nothing to do with me, I left." I did 15 years, we had a fantastic time doing it, and there were so many epic moments and contestants

But I don't want to go back, I never move back."  But in the world of radio, he does have some words of wisdom for one of his contemporaries

Chris was one the UK's most successful breakfast DJs, and he gives BBC Radio 2's new breakfast show host Zoe Ball the thumbs up

 "I've known Zoe for years and she's great. I wish her luck," he says.  "The only advice I would give her about mornings is don't drink any alcohol after 1am

That was my golden rule and I broke it many times.  "It's no fun doing a breakfast show with a hangover

I was never drunk on air, but I was a bit wobbly a few times and had to let the music do the talking

"  Since quitting breakfast radio, Chris has had some dramatic health issues. In May 2014, the twice-divorced father-of-six suffered a stroke during a plane journey from Thailand to the UK

 "It was scary, I thought I was going to die," he says. "I thought it was cramp at first, but then realised it was more serious than that

I was incredibly lucky."  After treatment, Chris underwent intense physiotherapy and speech therapy

 "This woman used to come round with a bag of equipment that had the words 'pain equals pleasure' written on it

She beat lumps out of me every week, then I gave her money and thanked her," he laughs

 It's because of the great care he received that Chris made a full recovery, and although Jane worries about his workload and he admits he has since cut down, he has no intention of retiring

 "I've slowed down a bit, I work hard in little bursts now," he concedes.  "I don't need to work, and Jane often asks, "Why don't you stop?" I explain that I love her and the kids, but I'd get bored if I didn't work

I need something to keep my brain ticking over. Jane is very tough on me when it comes to food and makes sure I eat well now

"  Recently Chris has been filming in Vietnam, Ukraine and the Austrian Alps for his Channel 5 documentary series Chris Tarrant – Extreme Railways

 "I was trying to retire, then the opportunity came to do this series," explains Chris

 "It's taken me everywhere. In the last few years I've been to India, Japan and Australia

 "So the stroke doesn't seem to have affected me too much. Last year in Ukraine, we uncovered the story of a Jewish family who survived in the sewers under the city for 14 months to evade being sent to the concentration camps

 "I went down there to see what they had to endure. I couldn't begin to tell you how it smelled

It was awful.  "We also went to Chernobyl, the site of the nuclear disaster. There is a sense of foreboding over the whole place and we had to film with Geiger counters to make sure we weren't exposed to dangerous levels of radioactivity

 "We went to the town next door to the reactor plant, which was evacuated and remains an eerie ghost town

"  Chris has moved on a long way since the show that set his career in motion, Tiswas

 "It would never get past the PC brigade or the health and safety police now," he laughs

 "There were children in tears, we used to throw buckets of water over them and have them rolling on the floor in custard

Can you imagine if we did that today? I'd be banged up.  "We used to pull kids up by their ears

They would always look the wrong way, so we would have to gently point them in the right direction towards the camera by holding their ears

They were never suspended from the ground, though."  Big name guests included Queen, Status Quo, Paul McCartney and Cliff Richard, and they were often as badly behaved as the children in the audience

 Chris recalls, "During one show we had a rock band called Goldie And The Gingerbreads, Brian and Roger from Queen, Lemmy from Motörhead and Status Quo all locked in a cage

 "I was doing a sketch with Lenny Henry and suddenly I smelt the unmistakable scent of marijuana

Someone was smoking a joint in the cage.   "Quick as a flash I broke from the script and covered the cage in buckets of water just to put it out

We never found out who was smoking it."  As Chris finishes reminiscing, he assesses his life and concludes that he's content

 "I have no ambitions. I've had a great life, there have been a few bad bits, but really, I've been so lucky,'" he says

 The one big ambition he has now is to wrestle the wheels of his luxury car back off Jane

My name is David and I'm the CEO and Co-Founder of

Shape Robotics. Shape Robotics produces

modular robot for education. So it's called

Fable. So it's this kind of modules that snap

together to build whatever kind of robot you want and

then you can program it with this kind of visual,

programming blocks, kind of up like puzzle pieces that

you put together.

So this is for school students to learn about

innovation, creativity programming and so on.

We are running a free trial program, which means

that any school or educator can borrow a robot from us

for 30 days

and they can try it out themselves with some

students or just by themselves,

and if they like it, they can keep it, they

can buy from us, otherwise they can ship it

back!

And we had a project together with the Lego

company. So we've been doing modular robotics for

maybe 10 years, but then we are doing this project

together with Lego and thought maybe that's a way to

actually combine what we are learning from

working with Lego, with this background in modular

robotics that we had. And that inspired us to

build a robot system that was extremely

useful for anybody. So building a product is one

thing, I know it's complicated to build a product,

but actually building the company is another

product!
