I'm not gonna name those people right now
But I usually get a lot of common names because those are like chain study abroad consultants in India
Here's my response to that, please, please please avoid those study abroad consultants
now the numerous reasons why you should avoid them first a lot of the people working there, who are
Consulting you or advising you on your education process have never even actually studied abroad. They are just doing it commercially to make money
They don't even care about your best interest
All they care about is making money because at the end of the day it is the business for that. Second, guys
I cannot tell you how many countless experience I've heard, read in facebook groups,
so many times! That these study abroad consultants get commission if you apply to a particular
University and what they do is push you towards applying to that University. Even if it's not a good university.
Maybe it's not even accredited but they'll push you to apply there because they get commission and
That is the only motive they have in their heart. They don't care about your well-being
They don't care if you're right fit for that university. They only care about that little amount of money
They are going to get. I have read so many posts on Quora, on Facebook,
Everywhere on the internet. Even met people in person who were pushed to apply to some
University. Kind of shattering their dreams when things didn't work out for them and then they had to go through a longer process to fix
everything. So yes, their incentive is their commission because they are a business
It is not your bright future and it hurts me. Now don't get me wrong. I know there are a few exceptions
Not all of them are bad
but the
Probability of you finding a good one
When you go out looking for an education consultant is so slim that I would highly recommend you to avoid these education
consultant, because you will end up wasting your money and you're risking your entire
Future in their hand, when they're only there to make money now. Let me suggest a better alternative. Today
I'm going to share two websites and two resources that you can use in order to plan out this whole process for you. Now
I know what is the biggest factor that people end up going to these consultants. A) they do not have the time B)
They do not want to take the efforts. You have to realize this is the question of your life
You're trying to get an advancement in your career. You're trying to change fields. You're trying to get a better education.
You have to invest that time. You have to learn more about the process, because
the one, two, three, four, five, six hours you spend per day trying to learn more about this process. It will
multiply so many times in benefits when you go abroad. Now if all you want is a shortcut you end up with these
Education consultants, who may or may not help you. If you know the right
Websites and the right resources, a small amount of efforts can lead to big returns for your life
So please put in that effort. Now, let me talk about two very great resources

I want to share with you guys today is something called USIEF
USIEF stands for United States India Education Foundation. It is an official effort by the U.S.
Department of State to help people study abroad in the US
But this is in particular for those of you are interested in studying in the u.s
Again, these people are also interested in putting the student before anything else
they'll only help you apply to the universities you want to go to. I think their membership only cost somewhere around 100 dollars, that is
6000 rupees, which is totally worth it. The only few disadvantages to USIEF is - first, they are
only located in metro cities in India - Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangaluru.
They're not located in smaller cities. And second,
All their services are only for the United States, of course because they are United States India Education Foundation.
That's why I really like school apply because they are also providing similar services
Unbiased, for the students, great services also for free like the search engine tool
The best thing is because everything is online
You can be located anywhere within India and you can still avail their services, especially the free services
So the first resource I'm gonna talk about is Google. Yes. Yes. Yes, you're very old dearest friend

So don't get me wrong. I know you already know that Google exists. It's not a matter of knowing that Google exists
It's a matter of knowing what to search on Google

effective search result if I'm looking for scholarships and financial aid at UT Dallas for international students. What I really need to search is
Scholarship for international students at UT Dallas. So I'm looking for deadlines for my University
I need to search for a specific terms like UT Dallas
Graduate school deadline. I am going to list these in the description below. Read them and search for the right thing
You'll be surprised to know how much information you can get from Google. Your second website resource is Facebook.
Yes, Facebook. Facebook has these
Amazing groups. Like Facebook groups are a blessing for everyone who wants to study abroad. Now
I'm going to talk in particular about those who are interested in studying abroad in the US but similar groups
exists for other countries as well. If you're interested in the US, you should definitely join the MS in U.S.
groups. Just search M.S. in U.S. and year you want to go
For example fall of 2018 spring 2019 and then enter these terms that are again going to be mentioned in the description below
So MS in US by gladly
MS in us by Yocket, and MS in US by CollegePond and so on. Join as many Facebook groups as you can and
Don't just join the Facebook group of the year you are going to. Join the Facebook group of the year previous to you
For example, if you want to go in fall 2018, look at the group in fall
2017
and
Scroll through the posts and look at some of the common doubts people had. Because trust me, after having gone through like 5 admission
Cycles I can tell you that most of the questions keep repeating every single year
So I hope these four resources I shared today, will help you achieve your dream of studying abroad. Guys
