and seventy thousand dollars USD now this is a prime example of a world

account on steam it that can give you value on your posts every single post

that you make on Steam it will be open for uploads and edits for seven days

after the seven days are up you're going to be awarded a large percent of your

money earned on that post which i think is around 75%

and when you do earn the Steam dollars by creating content you have three

different choices you can convert the steam dollars into steam and sell them

immediately on the open market for real money essentially cashing out

the second choice is you can hold on to the steam dollars which keeps the money

in the network and pays you 10% interest and the third option is you can exchange

your steam dollars for steam power if you want to invest in the future of the

currency and reap the biggest rewards this is the way to do it but let's look

at posting on Steam itself you don't have to post videos you can post imagery

or graphic design work when you get started you're gonna make very little of

little text added to it what I do when I post my actual designs is I tend to post

a huge long image around four to five thousand pixels and height I'll add my

design process and captions as I go for the thumbnail make sure it's the first

thing attached to your post you can add five tags and the list of tags can be

found on the home page of steam it there are limited tile choices but have a look

through and find five relevant tags to your posts the second way to make money

on Steam as a graphic designer is an awesome awesome thing if you

search around your steamer on Google you can actually find accounts to have a lot

of steam power behind them that hold graphic design competitions I entered my

first competition last Saturday and the results are we gonna be given on Tuesday

the awards are often esteemed currency which of course you can cash out into

Bitcoin and then USD after it's all been said and done

there's quite a little bit of legwork to do to sign up to these contests but you

just need to read the bio and adhere to the regulations plus is free to do you

LG has lost a lot of its influence over the smartphone industry through years of declining

sales and profits, even as the rest of the industry achieved record growth.

To fix these issues, the mobile division now has a new president

And I went to Seoul, South Korea, to talk to a bunch of people from to see

how they plan to turn these negative trends around.

I'm Marton from TechAltar, you are watching the 34th episode of The Story Behind series,

and here's what I've found.

OK, before we start with the strategy, I really have to put LG's phones into context a little,

because I think we smartphone enthusiasts fundamentally get its scale wrong.

LG smartphones make up about 80 to 90% of LG's mobile communications business unit.

The rest is mostly audio products, wearables, and accessories.

This is one of five business units in a company called LG Electronics and last quarter it

was responsible for about 18% of its revenue.

Most of LG Electronics' revenue comes from home electronics like fridges, washing machines

and TVs, but they also sell things like Vehicle components.

And then LG Electronics is only one of many companies under the LG Corporation umbrella,

although it is the largest one, with about 40-50% of the revenues.

So overall, smartphones only make up somewhere between 5 to 9% of the total revenue of the

giant conglomerate known as LG Corporation.

Geographically, LG's two most important markets by far are North America and South Korea.

North America moves the most units, accounting for well over a third of LG's total shipments,

but here LG mainly sells lower end units with low prices and low margins.

In Korea it's the opposite: LG sells fewer phones, but most of them are flagships, and

therefore LG is more profitable here, accounting for over a third of LG's mobile revenue.

Talking of revenue, it has decreased for the company's mobile division by more than 20%

over the last five years, even though the market itself grew quite quickly.

Things aren't looking great.

Profitability seems even worse, where LG has been losing money for over 3 straight years

now as well.

2016 was their worst year, when the LG G5 performed spectacularly badly, and even before

that, LG's quality control problems, together with the increased competition from China

really put LG into a tough spot.

OK, so that's a super quick overview, and I think it's pretty clear that things have

to change for LG if it wants to turn things around.

Which the new president apparently wants to do.

So I talked to a bunch of people at LG, here are all the plans they would share with me.

Starting with products, there are two clear directions.

One is a returned focus on the basics, which they defined as ABCD.

Audio, Battery, Cameras and Displays.

LG will apparently stop focusing on being the first to bring random, risky technologies

to market, like modular designs or curved screens, which LG has done quite often in

the past, and will instead simply make sure that LG phones perform well in these core

areas.

Other companies like Samsung and OPPO had a similar change in mentality a few years

ago, and while we enthusiasts might prefer more experimental companies, it sort of makes

sense because smartphones are becoming a commodity and nowadays there is so little room for meaningful

differentiation now anyway.

The G7, which you can see my thoughts on right here, is a pretty good example of this new

strategy.

It's just an evolution of the G6, not something radically new.

Also a part of this push for fixing the basics is an increased focus on software updates,

which LG says they opened a dedicated new software development center for.

They claim to push for more consistent and faster updates in the future, which was definitely

one of LG's weaknesses so far, although we haven't seen any proof of that just yet.

ThinQ branded artificial intelligence enhancements are supposed to give LG devices a differentiation

going forward, but for now I've found LG's actual AI capabilities fairly unimpressive.

Mostly just AI based scene detection and image enhancements in cameras, and sadly nothing

LG told me about their future plans really seemed like a breakthrough, but I guess only

time will tell how far they can push with AI.

In terms of marketing, LG told me that the promotional budget of LG Electronics as a whole

was mostly focused on on promoting OLED and 4K LG TVs, but since they

have gained enough market share in those categories, they will start prioritizing mobile phones

this year.

LG signed up BTS, Korea's most popular boyband to promote phones starting with the G7.

LG claims that this is their most expensive advertisement deal to date, and while it won't

do much for them in, say, Europe, it could give them a nice boost in Asia and to some

extent in the US, which, as you might remember, is where LG actually makes money.

Over the last few years, LG's marketing was fairly weak and got drowned out by more aggressive

brands like Samsung, Apple and Huawei though, so we will have to wait and see how hard they

really push this year.

LG's most counterintuitive and interesting strategy though might just be to wait.

Given that since 2017, the global smartphone market has stopped growing for the first time

ever, and given that most smartphone makers still aren't profitable, smaller and weaker

companies are soon expected to either go bankrupt or get bought by larger, more wealthy ones.

Consolidation is kind of inevitable.

Just think of HTC, which is being sliced up by Google, Nextbit, which was bought by Razer,

or smaller Chinese companies like Gionee and Meizu, which are slowly losing market share.

And given that LG is a large, diversified conglomerate, it can simply afford to wait

until the competition bleeds out.

While outlasting competitors, isn't the sexiest strategy, it might actually work for LG.

OK, so those are all of their plans.

How do I feel about them?

Well, a little mixed.

First, I think a focus on the ABCD basics plus better software support is going into

the right direction.

I don't see spectacular battery life improvements or or fantastic software support from the LG G7 yet, but let's

give this new mobile president a little bit of time.

I also find it a little hard to imagine what LG could meaningfully do better in AI

than Google, who owns the OS, or Samsung, who at least has more users and money couldn't do

but I guess more AI and better AI on LG phones won't hurt either.

So, the product strategy, while not groundbreaking, is generally going into the right direction.

But the rest, I'm not so sure about.

See, a good place for a brand to be is either on the premium end, like Samsung and Apple,

or on the value end, like OnePlus and Xiaomi.

Both are perfectly valid business models.

Obviously to sustain a premium brand you need a sales, marketing and customer support structure

that convinces people that your products are worth the premium.

On the budget end, you can save on, most, of those and you can offer your devices for

less.

LG though, falls into this uncomfortable zone between the two.

They kind of want to appear premium, so they spend some money on these extras, but don't

commit to them fully, so consumers don't want to pay the premium prices.

Just look at their prices over time.

Here's the G6 on Amazon.

It's priced like a premium product at launch, rivaling the latest Galaxy phones, but then

gets discounted dramatically pretty much straight away, and in a few months it becomes a value

phone.

And it's a very similar story for other LG flagships.

I bought my G6, just 3 months after it was announced, for something like 380 Euros.

That's pretty much half price and this is a problem, because LG has to spend money like a premium brand,

but eventually sells phones with margins like a value brand.

This is obviously not a good business model, and LG really has to decide, at least in my opinion,

what they want to be.

If they want a premium brand, they should make a premium product and push it

just as hard as Samsung does.

If they are OK being a value brand, they should skip all the BS and start pricing

their phones like value phones right from the start.

To this end, LG telling us that they are finally taking mobile marketing a little more seriously could be

a good sign that they are actually becoming a premium brand,

but given their track record, I am a little doubtful.

The saving grace for LG for at least the next few years might come from the US government

being aggressive against ZTE and Huawei.

The US is LG's largest market by sales, and especially ZTE was already catching up with

them in fourth place, but with the recent tensions, LG might get a temporary pass.

So, really good timing for them!

But anyway, I am somewhat torn on LG's future overall.

They are still losing money, but the worst sales and profit declines seem to be over,

their device strategy is finally starting to mature, but they are focusing on a confusing

AI strategy, they finally say they will take marketing seriously, but none of their past

efforts suggest that they will succeed, and while LG certainly can afford to lose money

on smartphones until smaller competitors bleed out, or get banned, I don't see the fire,

the aggressiveness that other brands like Samsung or more recently, Chinese competitors

seem to have.

See, I can't really predict if LG will be able to turn its mobile business around, but I can

recommend a really, really, really good audiobook.

How Have Central Banks Evolved Since 2008? Nomi Prins Expert View | Real Vision - Duration: 3:55.

So what I see going on right now is that, since the financial crisis of 2008, which

is now a decade ago, there are a lot of "remedies" that were put into the economy through banks

that were supposedly done to help the economy.

When, in fact, all they did was help the private banks, and the markets, and created a lot

of sort of bubbles throughout the world that were performed by central banks, which are

the bankers for banks, like the Federal Reserve in the United States, like the European Central

Bank in Europe, like the Bank of Japan in Japan.

I chose the word collusion to define what happened over this past decade between central

banks and among central banks, because collusion has two connotations.

One is, it's about groups or people working together in a sort of secret fashion that,

then, part two, perform a sort of deceit, or a crime, or a cheating of some sort.

And it's not a term that's used for what central banks do because, mostly, what they are considered

to be is helpful for the economy, because that's the narrative under which they operate.

That's the narrative under which the governments in which they reside are also operating.

However, the reality is, there's a lot of coordination, particularly amongst the major

central banks of the world, that's happened during the last 10 years to do two things.

One is to keep the price of money extremely low.

That's why we have 0% interest rates throughout the world.

That's why when people put money into their savings accounts, they get 0.1%, if they're

lucky, interest on it, because of the idea that these central banks would pump money

cheaply to banks.

And banks would somehow use it to help small businesses, to help spur the economy, to help

individuals, and so forth, rather than simply help themselves, which is what they did with

it.

And the second part of this coordination or collusion together amongst the major central

banks is to fabricate money electronically, and use it also to provide to the banks and

the banking system in return for the assets or the bonds that they had on their books.

So it's equivalent for central banks to get together and say, look, we're going to create

a whole bunch of money out of nowhere.

And we're going to give it to banks.

And we're going to say to banks, you know what?

Any junk you have on your books lying around that you can't get rid of, which was definitely

the case in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, just give it to us.

We'll pay whatever.

It's good.

You keep the money.

And that happened to the tune of $21 trillion, or the size of the entire United States GDP,

over the course of a 10-year period.

And in some countries, it's still going on.

So that's where the collusive activity of-- something's happening in secret, the conversations.

A lot of things documented, but not publicly put together.

And that the deceit or the cheating element of it is that this money didn't really go

into the main economy.

The economy still has wages that haven't gone up, even with the level of inflation.

It still has, now, consumer debt at record highs, student loan debt at record highs,

and many people struggling from paycheck-to-paycheck.

Because their prosperity hasn't gone up by as much as, say, banks, whose stocks have

tripled over the last 10 years, their CEOs, who have gotten paid substantially, major

corporations who've used the banks to be able to borrow money to buy their own stock and

lift the markets up so the markets look healthy.

But people's economies aren't healthy, and that's the deceit.

300-400 marks in NEET examination.

NEET score to get govt medical college depends mainly on the state, community reservation

category you are going to apply during the mbbs admission and any other category reservations

applicable to the state in which you are applying.

You need to undertstand that with NEET score of less than 400, it is difficult to get government

quota MBBS seat even in you apply under SC category.

Do you know last year cutoff for getting govt college medical seat in All India Quota was

490 for SC candidates.

For many states, where there are less than 700 MBBS seats in government colleges, it

is difficult for SC category to get seat under state quota in government medical college.

In general, the cutoff for state quota for every reservation category would be same or

little less than the All India Quota cutoff because of high competition within these states.

Most of the north eastern states except Assam have less than 200 MBBS governmentt seats.

Assam which has 720 seats.

There are no private medical colleges in north eastern states, so there is no possiblity

of getting govt quota seat in private colleges at Rs 4 lakhs/annum tuition fees.

The list of states which have less than 700 MBBS seats are given here in this list.

In these states, 400 marks is not sufficient for SC category students to get govt seats.

When it comes to A -category seats which are state government quota seats in private colleges,

all these states have no or 1 or 2 private medical colleges having less than 500 MBBS

seats making it difficult to get govt quota seats in private colleges too.

The only state which is exception is the Puducherry which has close to 1000 private college MBBS

seats.

If your neet score falls in the range of 300-400, and you belong to any of these states your

chances to get government college and state govt quota in private medical colleges is

less.

You have three options to choose from.

The first option is to drop out this year and set big target score so that you will

get in reputed medical colleges.

The second option is to study MBBS under management quota in private colleges.

Fees for private college management quota are generally in the range of 18 to 30 lakhs/year.

The third option is to study Medicine abroad in reputed universities.

Fees for good abroad medical universities range between 4 lakhs/year to 8 lakhs/year.

Today, we're going to go over phoneme changes and spelling

so listen carefully by focusing on my pronunciation.

[Jihaksa Korean Language (By Lee Sam Hyung) p.149] Concept and types of phoneme changes

You will have experienced a time when you have felt alarmed at not knowing

the correct pronunciation for a word even though it is in Korean.

This is because you did not understand the phoneme changes in that word.

If you fully understand the mechanism behind phoneme changes and

the reason for those changes,

you will be able to use the Korean language more accurately and efficiently.

There is a reason for phoneme changes.

Here is an example.

Let's now look over the pronunciation of the underlined words

and think about why these phoneme changes happen.

We can assume that the power of the King would have been very strong in the Silla Dynasty.

In the sentence above, the words "Silla" and "gwonryuk" (power) is pronounced differently

from how it is spelled.

The "n" sound in Korean language changed into a "l" sound.

The way certain words are pronounced differently from the spelling is "phoneme change".

Next, if we look at the different types according to the results of the changes,

we can sort them into the following types.

If you look at the bottom, there are certain words that change very slightly.

Let's look at the example here.

It says to write down how these words are pronounced

and examine what happened in the pronunciation process.

Number 1 is "citizen" (gookmin).

If you look here, you can see that the "k" is pronounced as a "ng".

The 2nd one is "knife blade" (kal-nal).

The "n" is pronounced as a "l" instead.

So the "n" changes in to a "l".

As the following examples, some words change when pronounced.

Let's examine more closely at the conditions for these changes.

Example 1 shows how the sound that was not originally not nasal,

changes because of a nasal pronouncation following it.

Nasal letters such as "m", "n" and "o" closes the passage in the mouth

and sends wind past the nose.

When non-nasal letters such as "g" "d" and "b" come in front of "m" and "n",

"o", "m", "n" sounds are made much easier.

There are some examples below.

"To receive" (baad-neun). There's a "d" in that word

but when we pronounce it, it's pronounced as a "n".

And next, that's the same for "rice water" (bab-mool).

It's a "b" but changes to a "m". So it's pronounced as "bam-mool".

And moving on.

Example 2 is similar to "Silla" and "power" discussed earlier.

Since it is difficult to pronounce

"l" and "n" sounds consecutively,

The "n" sound is affected by the "l" which comes behind the "n"

and changes to a "l" sound and this is called liquidization.

There are some more examples here. There's a lot of examples.

If you look here, "birthday" is written as "saeng-il-nal" but pronounced as "saeng-il-lal".

And next is "training". It's written as "dan-ryun" but pronounced as "dal-ryun".

So think that the "n" changes to a "r" sound.

Example 3 is about lax consonants such as "g", "d", "b", "s", "j".

They change into tense sounds such as "gg", "dd", "bb", "ss", "jj"

and is therefore called as "tensification".

This is also a phoneme change that happens for a more natural pronunciation.

There are different types for tencification.

How are you today?

It might seem difficult and easy at the same time.

But I think it's not that bad once you understand the process.

former federal prosecutor Joe DiGenova said Tuesday.

Later a former Trump administration official explained that all these agents who are ready

and willing to spill the goods on Comey and McCabe would rather be subpoenaed then to

have to become official government whistleblowers since by the later method they would be in

fear of political and professional backlash from FBI personal still friendly to the Barack

Hussein Obama wing of the FBI.

"The subpoena is preferred, he said, "because when you are subpoenaed, Congress then pays…for

your legal counsel and the subpoena protects [the agent] from any organizational retaliation….

they are on their own as whistleblowers, they get no legal protection and there will be

organizational retaliation against them."

Digenova, who along with his wife, Victoria Toensing, has represented government whistleblowers

in the past agreed with the subpoena route.

And he added that it's actually an intelligent approach considering this situation is of

a vindictive nature and the fact that the FBI is for all intent and purposes in a freefall

since Comey managed to destroy the institution he claims to love, to the point where it will

take decades to restore the faith the people once had in the bureau.

"The administrations are so politicized that any time a Special Agent comes forward

as a whistleblower, they can expect to be thrown under the bus by leadership.

Go against the Muslim Brotherhood, you're crushed.

Go against the Clintons, you're crushed.

The FBI has long been politicized to the detriment of national security and law enforcement."

The special agent added, "Activity that Congress is investigating is being stonewalled

by leadership and rank-and-file FBI employees in the periphery are just doing their jobs.

All Congress needs to do is subpoena involved personnel and they will tell you what they

know.

These are honest people.

Leadership cannot stop anyone from responding to a subpoena.

Those subpoenaed also get legal counsel provided by the government to represent them."

The former Trump administration official explained the problems at the bureau go beyond just

two people.

"They know that it wasn't just Comey and McCabe in this case.

That's too narrow a net to cast over these guys.

There's a much broader corruption that seeped into the seventh floor at the bureau."

"They ruined the credibility of the bureau and the technical ability of the bureau, so

systemically, over the past several years, they're worried about their organizational

reputation and their professional careers," this former Trump administration staffer said,

noting the bureau's difficulty in prosecuting cases these days.

"They go to court and they're just laughed at."

According to an analysis in Time Magazine earlier this month, the FBI has struggled

with conviction rates for several years now after they send cases to the DOJ for prosecution.

In less than half the cases the FBI sent to the Justice Department, the conviction rate

was only 47 percent in 2017.

This number is far below the mean of the 72 percent average for all other government agencies,

according to Time.

In the meantime, DiGenova and the others who spoke to TheDC believe it is time for Congress

to issue subpoenas to FBI agents who are willing to talk.

According to DiGenova, the House and Senate Judiciary Committees can issue these subpoenas.

"Either one of those [committees] would be fine.

I'm sure the committees could hold hearings in a New York minute," he said.

He added, "I can assure you I've been approached by agents who want to be subpoenaed

for the same reason the guys in the field," adding, "All over this country there are

agents but the big ones the ones that matter New York–Washington I can assure you I've

spoken with agents who want to come forward."

It's time for them to solve this mess and start putting whoever is responsible for this

behind bars.

Enough of the idea that there are some in our society who are untouchable and just can't

go to prison.
