A Deeper Look At Triangulation and How to Recover From One

In other section, we have discussed how narcissists are toxic to others.

We also covered some tactics they use including triangulation for keeping you under their

power.

So, what is toxic triangulation means?

In a simple way, triangulation is some kind of method that narcissists do to sway another

person (sometimes a group of people) into some certain interaction or relationship with

a purpose to belittle the victim, so he, or she will vie for the attention of the narcissist.

Narcissists often use this method to create love triangles among people just to get some

attention to themselves.

Toxic triangulation is one of the most rotten and heartbreaking tools for psychological

manipulation.

So, if you think you're currently under this exact situation, you have to take some action

as soon as possible.

If you want to know how to be completely free from it, these 3 powerful methods should help

you to heal from the toxic triangulation of narcissists.

Before we jump to the lists, make sure to like this video and subscribe to our channel,

so you won't miss any of our interesting updates in the future.

#1 - Know why you are irreplaceable

You are irreplaceable because your mind have been tricked into believing that there is

no one better than you.

That is why when there is someone coming into your relationship, you have nothing but to

struggle to get attention from the abuser.

At some point you may realize that you have made a wrong move since you are actually feeding

the narcissistic partner.

It is pretty common thing to happen actually since they brainwash you unconsciously, but

it can be adjusted by using the self-appreciation technique.

The dynamic of your inner beauty, skills, and intelligence are far more superior to

theirs, the narcissists.

Please also remember that what they say and do are actually illusions.

#2 - Stop looking at the new person

Triangulation requires at least three people involved: the narcissists, you as the first

victim, and other person as new supply.

Most of the time, you will look the new supply as shiny bright object that is far superior

than you are.

This is where you need to think the otherwise.

Remember that narcissists see the world in reverse.

That is why you need to think the reverse too.

Moreover, it is worth to note that people who have endured narcissists are great because

they are the most toxic person in the world.

When you can get away with them that will be remarkable bonus for your next healthy

life.

#3 - Stop comparing

A tactic commonly used by narcissists is to compare you between you and the new supply.

Spending time just to listen and think about your quality and the new person will only

drive you crazy.

Moreover, with strategic talks from the narcissists, you usually do not have a chance to not think

about it.

To fight against it, you can try engaging in positive activities that your narcissistic

partners cannot see.

A routine mediation practice is also great for you to stop seeing yourself in comparison

to others.

Well, those are the things about toxic triangulation and how to recover from one if you are the

victim of narcissistic abuse.

So, Really cool information isn't it?

What is Valve?

A valve is a device that regulates, controls or directs the flow of a fluid by opening,

closing, or partially obstructing fluid flow.

Basically it controls flow & pressure.

Different types of valves are used to serve these functions.

Let's start with Gate valve

Gate valve is the most common type of valve in any process plant.

It is a linear motion valve used to start or stop fluid flow.

In service, these valves are either in fully open or fully closed position.

Gate valves are used in almost all fluid services such as air, fuel gas, feedwater, steam, lube

oil, hydrocarbon, and all most any services.

Gate valve provides good shutoff.

Globe Valve Globe valve is used to stop, start, and regulate

the fluid flow.

Globe Valves are used in the systems where flow control is required and leak tightness

is also necessary.

Globe valve provides better shut off as compared to gate valve and it is costlier than gate

valve.

Check Valve The check valve prevents backflow in the piping

system.

The pressure of the fluid passing through a pipeline opens the valve, while any reversal

of flow will close the valve.

Plug valve Plug valve is Quarter-turn rotary motion Valve

that uses a tapered or cylindrical plug to stop or start the flow.

The disk is in plug shape, which has a passage to pass the flow.

Plug valve used as on-off stop valves and capable of providing bubble tight shutoff.

Plug valve can be used in vacuum to high-pressure & temperature applications

Ball Valve A Ball valve is a quarter-turn rotary motion

valve that uses a ball-shaped disk to stop or start the flow.

Most ball valves are of the quick-acting type, which requires a 90° turn of the valve handle

to operate the valve.

The ball valve is Smaller and lighter than a gate valve of same size and rating.

Butterfly Valve A Butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotary

motion valve, that is used to stop, regulate, and start the flow.

Butterfly valve has a short circular body.

Butterfly Valve is suitable for large valve applications due to Compact, lightweight design

that requires considerably less space, as compared to other valves.

Needle Valve Needle valves are similar to a globe valve

in design with the biggest difference is the sharp needle like a disk.

Needle valves are designed to give very accurate control of flow in small diameter piping systems.

They get their name from their sharp-pointed conical disc and matching seat.

Pinch Valve The pinch valve is also known as clamp valve.

It is a linear motion valve.

Used to start, regulate, and stop fluid flow.

It uses a rubber tube, also known as a pinch tube and a pinch mechanism to control the

fluid.

Pinch Valve is ideally suited for the handling of slurries, liquids with large amounts of

suspended solids, and systems that convey solid material pneumatically.

Pressure Relief Valve A pressure Relief valve or pressure safety

valve are used to protect equipment or piping system during an overpressure event or in

the event of vacuum.

This valve releases the pressure or vacuum at pre-defined set pressure.

How to Make Beef Rice Soup ~ Easy Ground Beef and Rice Soup Recipe - Duration: 3:37.

This is a budget-friendly and hearty soup using ground beef and rice. I'm Tess

and come join me in my kitchen as I make an easy and delicious beef rice soup.

(intro music)

In a soup pan on medium-high heat I'm adding in a pound of ground beef and I'm

using 85/15. Just stirring, chopping and cooking until the ground beef is no

longer pink. If you're using a fattier ground beef you may want to drain off

the excess fat. Now I'm adding in the vegetables and you can use whatever you

like or have on hand. Now is a great time to clean out the refrigerator! I have

some diced onions, carrots, red bell peppers, celery, mushrooms and adding in a

little salt and black pepper. Giving that a good stir and cooking for about five

to seven minutes or until the veggies start to break down.

This is optional but I'm throwing in a diced chili pepper for a little heat and

I'm also adding in some chopped celery leaves. Some people throw these away but

they have so much flavor! I add them to my soup, salads and when I'm making broth.

Cooking and stirring for another minute and then I'm adding in my broth.

I'm using a homemade chicken broth but you can use beef or vegetable broth.

If you're using a box broth make sure you choose a low-sodium. Also adding in one

large can of crushed tomatoes. Giving that a stir and turning up my heat to

bring this up to a simmer. Just a reminder that you'll be able to

find this recipe, the list of ingredients and much more in the show more section

below. I've also included links where you can purchase online some of the

ingredients and equipment that I use in this video recipe. If you have a chance

please check it out. Now for the spices. In goes some chopped

parsley, garlic powder, a little thyme for an earthy flavor and a couple bay leaves.

Stirring to combine, bringing up to a simmer and cooking for 20 to 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes I'm giving this a taste test. I'm adding in another handfull of

fresh chopped celery leaves for a little pop and a little more garlic powder.

Giving that a stir and cooking for another five minutes.

I'm using jasmine rice but you can use any rice that you like. I cooked my rice

separately and I will add to the soup. If you cook the rice in the soup it

tends to get mushy and you lose the texture. Also, if you have leftovers the

rice will absorb all the broth. So I just add the rice when serving. If feeding a

family or friends you can add the rice to the pot of soup

just before serving or just serve the rice on the side and they can add the

amount of rice that they like. This beef rice soup is easy, hearty and satisfying.

Lots of flavor! I hope you give this beef rice soup a try and enjoy.

Reindeer's Color Changing Eyes Give Them Night Vision - Duration: 3:10.

[ ♪ Intro ]

Shine a light into the woods at night, and you might see the glow of eyes staring back at you.

But the eyes aren't actually glowing—they're reflecting light off a special layer of tissue

found in some animals called a tapetum lucidum.

The color and shape of this 'eye shine' can tell you what's peering at you from the darkness.

But things are more complicated if you're in the arctic regions of Norway.

Because there, reindeer change the color of that part of their eye seasonally.

That's right—the animals most famous for pulling Santa's sleigh have eyes that change

color to help them see in the darkness of winter.

Animals that need to see well in low light, like cats, raccoons and even reindeer, all

have tapeta lucida.

They sit in back of the eyes right in between the outer layers of the eye and the retina—the

part that actually "sees".

These thin tissues act as reflectors, giving retina a second chance at absorbing light.

Most animals have a particular color of eye shine which depends on the composition and

structure of their tapetum lucida.

But the Eurasian mountain reindeer is different—it's the only one we know of that switches colors,

changing from a summery golden yellow to a deep blue in winter.

And scientists think that's a side effect of how their eyes have adapted to long periods of darkness.

The arctic summers where they live have 24 hour days, and the winters include long stretches of night.

The animals compensate for this in part by making their retinas more responsive to low

light in winter.

And it's believed they can see some wavelengths of UV light.

But that's not the most obvious adaptation.

To see better when it's so dang dark, a reindeer's pupils open wide to let more

light in—kind of like yours do if you go into a dark room.

But when a pupil stretches wider it also flattens the front of the eye ever so slightly, which

increases the pressure inside the eye.

Since their pupils are constantly wide open during winter, that pressure builds up, squeezing

the tiny collagen fibers of the deer's tapetum lucidum closer together.

And this compression causes the color change.

The tightly-packed fibers strongly reflect shorter, blue wavelengths of light, while

the more spaced out ones reflect longer, yellow ones instead -- a phenomenon known as Bragg's Law.

Researchers can actually compress a dissected piece of the reindeer's eye with a tiny

weight and induce this same yellow to blue color change.

But the color isn't what's really important to the animal.

The compressed fibers also scatter light sideways through the retina instead of reflecting it

out of the eye, increasing the amount of light the retina can absorb.

While summer eyes reflect more than 95% of the light shone into them, winter eyes reflect only 40%.

And that likely means the reindeer can see in what seems like total blackness.

The only downside to this amazing feat is that, because light rays inside the eye are

more scattered, everything also looks a little fuzzier.

But that seems a small price to pay.

I wish I could trade a little blurriness for night vision!

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow!

That Time It Rained for Two Million Years - Duration: 8:04.

Imagine a world so warm that the ocean feels like a hot tub.

Huge volcanic eruptions have pumped the air full of globe-warming carbon dioxide.

And with the continents locked together from pole-to-pole in the supercontinent of Pangea,

the world is hot, flat, and very, very dry.

Early reptiles and mammal ancestors thrive in this sweltering land, dominating a landscape

that's still struggling to recover from the Permian extinction.

This is Earth, 250 million years ago, at the beginning of the Triassic Period.

But then, starting around 234 million years ago, the climate suddenly changed, for the

wetter.

The rains finally came to this hot, dry world.

And then they stayed … for two million years.

This period of intense rain killed off many of the early reptiles and … confused the

heck out of the geologists who found the flood deposits millions of years later.

This time is known as the Carnian Pluvial Episode, and it set the stage for a new group

of animals to take over the world:

the dinosaurs.

Evidence of just how hot and dry the world was at the start of the Triassic is trapped

in the land beneath our feet.

Rocks from that period are mostly swaths of red sandstones and soil deposits from dry

woodlands, with no sign of the coal swamps that had covered the world during much of

the Permian.

And one major reason that the world was so dry was the shape of Pangea.

With all the continents locked together, rain clouds couldn't move much past the coastlines,

and there were no big mountain ranges to break up the low, arid land.

Now, dinosaurs did exist in this dry, post-Permian world.

But they were still vying for their place among early reptiles and reptile-like mammal

ancestors.

The dominant carnivores back then were the early crurotarsans, a broad group of croc-like

animals that included reptiles like pseudosuchians and phytosaurs.

For example, there was Ornithosuchus, which had long hind legs and could actually stand

up when it wanted to run, which I imagine would've been both awesome and terrifying to

actually see.

But even stranger than these were the rhynchosaurs, herbivores with parrot-like beaks and, sometimes,

cheekbones to die for, all on a chubby lizard body.

And although there were no true mammals, there were dicynodonts -- the closest things to

them at the time.

They're actually more closely related to us than, say, Dimetrodon, despite being scaly,

four-legged creatures with bills and tusks.

All of these fascinating creatures were widespread for most of the Triassic, with one species

of dicynodont – called Lystrosaurus – being so common all over the world that its fossils

were actually used to help construct the idea of Plate Tectonics

But these animals, adapted as they were to life in a dry climate, were in for a big shakeup.

Most of what we know about the history of the climate comes from plant fossils and rock

types.

And in the early 1990's, two British geologists found rocks that didn't match the dry climate

of the Triassic that they knew.

Instead of finding red, slowly-deposited sand, they found thick layers of river rocks, sediments

from giant lakes, and evidence of coal swamps.

All of these were signs of massive rainfall, over the course of some two million years.

But stranger still, these traces of a suddenly wet climate turned out to be everywhere, from

England to the Americas to Israel, in regions that were far apart at the time.

That meant the rise in rainfall must have been world-wide.

Initially, other geologists were skeptical.

Couldn't these rocks just be explained by a lot of big local floods?

Well, over the next two decades, reports of more and more weird rocks kept trickling in,

and they kept pointing to a world that was getting wetter and wetter.

The rocks revealed coal deposits in Austria, traces of ancient lakes in Italy, wet soils

in Utah, and giant rivers in China.

And they all dated to the same window of time -- between 232 and 234 million years ago.

In time, this phenomenon came to be known as the Carnian Pluvial Episode, or CPE.

The Carnian is the name of the geologic age within the Triassic when this all happened.

And for what it's worth I seriously thought about naming this episode the Chronicles of Carnia

but I didn't because that would have been dumb.

And "pluvial" means rain, and it rained a whole awful lot.

For example, one estimate suggests that the average annual rainfall in what's now Utah

almost quadrupled, reaching a peak of 1400 millimeters, or about 55 inches of rain a year.

For context, that's how much that a temperate rainforest gets today, like say, in the Pacific

Northwest.

And this would have happened over, and over, and over again, all around the world.

It was not one big flood; it was more like floods every year, all over the place, for

two million years.

And with all this rain, things were bound to change - and one of the biggest changes

was the sudden abundance of dinosaurs.

In rock dated to the start of the Carnian Pluvial Episode, dinosaurs account for about

5% of the fossils of terrestrial vertebrates.

But by the end, they make up more than 90% of those fossils.

So what made the dinosaurs so suddenly successful?

Were they better off than their competitors in this newly wet world?

Or did other animals simply die, leaving them to rule the world by default?

The key might not have been the rain itself, but what the rain brought with it: a proliferation

of giant plants!

During this time, we begin to see lots of large conifers, and big coal-forming plants,

like the primordial-looking Bennettitales.

For herbivores, this change in food supply could have been a game changer.

For example, rhynchosaurs were abundant, but they were also … short.

And they couldn't stand on their hind legs to reach higher leaves.

This would've been fine in a dry environment, where plants tend to stay close to the ground.

But in a wet forest, rhynchosaurs would've only been able to eat smaller plants, or whatever

leaves and fruit fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, dicynodonts were herbivores, too, but they didn't have teeth.

And, they also didn't use gastroliths, the rocks that some animals - like birds - swallow

to help digest plant material.

Without teeth or gastroliths, dicynodonts would have had a hard time eating anything

fibrous, like wood.

And sure enough, fossils of dicynodont poop from this time have been found to contain

the digested remains of mostly soft ferns, with only very small amounts of wood.

By comparison, some plant-eating dinosaurs - which had both teeth and gastroliths - left

us poop fossils that are up to 85% wood!

Which is a lot of fiber.

So as the climate became wetter, soft small ferns were quickly replaced by tall woody

conifers, which the dicynodonts and rhynchosaurs didn't eat.

And without the rhynchosaurs and dicynodonts, then the carnivores -- those crurotarsans

-- would've lost a lot of their food supply.

So maybe, instead of being better-adapted to this new environment, dinosaurs were just

the only major group of reptiles left standing.

Or, y'know, squatting.

Even though we don't know exactly why the rain helped the dinosaurs, we do know that

dinosaurs became a lot more abundant during the Carnian Pluvial Episode.

And the dicynodonts, the rhynchosaurs and many of the early crurotarsans soon went extinct.

Now, there's still the question of: What made it rain for two million years in the

first place?

Well, right before the rains came, some 235 million years ago, a huge burst of volcanic

activity took place in Alaska and British Columbia.

Today it's known as the Wrangellian eruptions.

These eruptions lasted for more than 5 million years, churning out a layer of lava that got

to be 6 kilometers thick, and releasing enough CO2 to raise temperatures by about 3 to 10

degrees Celsius worldwide.

And, over a very long time, warmer temperatures can create a wetter climate, because they

can speed up the water cycle, driving more evaporation of surface water into the atmosphere,

among other things.

And in fact, because of this increase in atmospheric moisture, the CPE is also sometimes called

the Carnian Humid Episode.

But for what it's worth, my favorite name for this episode by far is The Wet Intermezzo.

Which I think is delightful so let's try to bring that term back, OK?

Anyway, after about a million years of volcanic activity, the atmosphere became so warm and

wet that rain could finally reach even Pangea's vast interior.

OK but then, how did it stop?

Well, when carbon levels are really high for a really long time, our planet can be pretty

good at getting some of the extra carbon back into the ground where it belongs.

Plants take it in and store it in their tissues; weathering and eroding rocks absorb it; and

the oceans soak it up to form carbonate rocks like limestone.

So as the Wrangellian eruptions slowed down, the carbon cycle was eventually able to stabilize,

excess CO2 was reabsorbed from the atmosphere, and the CPE gradually came to an end.

By the time the eruptions had completely ended 230 million years ago, the world had returned

to a classically hot, dry Triassic climate that only ended when Pangea began to break

up.

But even though the Carnian Pluvial Episode was short - only 2 million years – its impacts

on life were permanent.

All that rainfall helped conifers spread and diversify, leading to the pine trees we know

today.

And while the start of the Triassic may have been the land of weird, croc-like-things running

on their hind legs by the time the rains had ended, the world

had fully entered the age of dinosaurs.

HOW DID I NOT GET THIS AS A KID!? | Gnoggin | Pokemon - Duration: 4:36.

Holy Butts!

So I never got this as a kid, and had no idea until just a bit ago while doing some research

for another video.

But I always thought that pokemon evolution by trading was stupid.

And this is ESPECIALLY the case for shelmet and karrablast.

You specifically have to trade the two of them in order for them to evolve.

The rest of the trade evo's you just have to trade whatever!

But recently I found out that there is actually a VERY good reason why these two being traded

to evolve makes sense!

And maybe you already knew this, that's fine-

Go whine about it in the comments smarty, I'm sure your parents are proud of your

pokemon trivia knowledge!!

But I figured that if I didn't know about this until just now, maybe there are plenty

other that don't either.

So here we are!

so, the evolution in question, shelmet to accelgor, and karrablast into escavalier.

Just by looking at them you can sort of see what happens.

Karrablast borrows elements from shelmet and gains the armor, if you look close you can

see a sort of karrablast body in there.

So I originally figured when trading they were also trading elements with each other,

karrablast gets the armor element from shelmet and shelmet gets the….

High speed from karrablast?

But karrablast isn't super fast or anything, but it is known to explode?

karraBLAST?

And exploding is fast?

Idk, that's what I originally thought.

But its actually way deeper and cooler than that.

So shelmet is based on a snail, it is the snail pokemon and its got the classic snail

curve behind the medieval helmet.

When it evolves into accelgor, you can tell it still has snail elements because of the

name, accelgor, from both accelerate because of its speed, and escargot, french for snail.

Escavalier also has escargot in its name, along with cavalier.

So does the beetle become a snail?

You can still see the beetle parts in there, so clearly not.

But look at whats happening here.

You trade the two pokemon, and suddenly the beetle gets shelmet's snail shell, and the

snail grows big and gets wrapped in bandages.

Typical fighting ninja fashion sure, but maybe something more.

It looks like karrablast stole the helmet from shelmet while they were in the process

of being traded.

Which would make sense actually!

Karrablast is sort of a generic beetle, kind of a scarab, kind of a rhinoceros beetle…

but notably in this case, this interaction with shelmet points also to Carabus blaptoides

blaptoides, commonly known in japan as the snail-eating beetle.

This beetle hunts out snails, and empties their shells entirely, and then may use the

shell as a small hideout.

So that's what happened here!

While in the vulnerable state of whatever goes one while being digitally traded, karrablast

steals the shell off of shelmet, perhaps in an attempt to eat the shelmet, but because

trading is so fast, the opportunity passes after karrablast removed shelmets protection.

And now just carrying around a sturdy snail shell, it can make armor out of it, becoming

an escavalier.

Meanwhile, the shelmet just got its armor ripped off, and not having to carry around

big heavy medieval armor means now it can go fast!

But it also has a big hole in its back, so it wraps that up.

And so it becomes accelgor.

This interaction is a fascinating example of co-evolution, or y'know in the case of

pokemon, co-metamorphosis.

This is when two or more species adapt and change over generations because of the actions

of the other.

Like flowers becoming bigger and brighter to attract more bees, and bees getting better

and better and spotting flowers.

Or in the case of predator and prey like these pokemon, its cheetahs, getting faster and

faster as time goes on, while gazelles do the same thing.

Its quite fascinating.

And I hope you found this to be fascinating as well!

I certainty do!

So until next time please remember to never stop using that Gnoggin!

And be sure to check out these other awesome videos.

thanks!

The Cosmic Origins of Earth's Water - Duration: 5:41.

Thank you to brilliant dot org for supporting PBS Digital Studios.

Seventy percent of Earth is covered in water.

That's every last drop in the oceans, in clouds, in icecaps, in your body.

And even less of that is fresh water.

All that water together would fill a sphere only 860 miles (about 1,385 kilometers) in

diameter.

Water is one of the things that makes Earth so special and without it, life as we know

it couldn't exist.

Was our home always a waterpark?

If not, how did it all get here?

What do we really know about Earth's H-two-Origins?

[INTRO]

The solar system formed when a cloud of gas and dust collapsed into a swirling disk.

And at least some of that cloud was water.

In the orbit where Earth would one day be, the young sun's intense heat prevented water

vapor from condensing on its own.

But tiny grains of dust acted as 'condensation nuclei' to let droplets form.

These tiny debris particles coalesced into our young planet along with the water they

carried.

As Earth cooled, rocks in the crust reacted with chemicals in the early atmosphere to

create more water molecules.

Water existed inside Earth's mantle, but not as independent H-two-O molecules, rather it

separated into H's and OH's in the rock.

We don't know exactly how much water is still locked inside Earth today, but there

may be several oceans' worth of primordial H2O embedded within minerals, or even as ice

inside diamonds deep underground.

This explains some of Earth's water, but much—if not most—of the water on the surface

today was imported from farther out in the solar system.

One type of asteroid called a 'carbonaceous chondrite' contains water molecules, and

also their raw ingredients, oxygen and hydrogen.

During the early years of the solar system, we think Jupiter may have orbited closer to

the Sun than it does today.

Its gravity would've flung thousands of these watery asteroids toward the young Earth.

But comets also hold a lot of water ice, and there are billions of them zipping around

the solar system.

If they crashed into early Earth they could have brought water too.

So how can we tell if most of our water came from asteroids or comets?

Every water molecule contains two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen.

But a tiny fraction of the hydrogen atoms in water have an extra neutron in their nucleus.

Comet water and asteroid water have different ratios of these heavy hydrogens to normal

hydrogens.

The atomic fingerprint of the water we find on Earth doesn't quite match what we see

in comets, but the water in asteroids is a closer match.

Like many things in science, we can't be 100% sure yet, but so far it seems that most

of our water came from asteroids.

So Earth probably got its water in multiple ways.

Some was built into the planet.

Earth made a bit on its own.

And the rest—was delivered by space rocks.

But where did all this water come from… before the solar system?

Astronomers have detected water all over the cosmos.

They've seen it in clouds of gas between stars and in other planet-forming disks.

Around one supermassive black hole, they've even detected a reservoir of water 140 trillion

times heavier than Earth's oceans.

This space fog is far enough away that it, and its water, must have existed at least

12 billion years ago, and maybe earlier.

So how old is the universe's oldest water?

All of the universe's hydrogen was made during the Big Bang, but oxygen is only produced

inside the nuclear furnace of stars.

So water could have formed as soon as the very first stars in the universe ignited,

about 12.7 billion years ago at the earliest.

A tiny fraction of the air we breathe–and the water we drink today–contains some of

these very first oxygen atoms.

Why do we care so much about the history of something as seemingly boring as a glass of

water?

The earlier there was water in the universe, the earlier there could've been watery planets.

And the earlier there were watery planets, the more time there could be for life to evolve.

That's a refreshing thought.

Stay curious.

The Golden State Killer - What Do We Know About Him? Californian Serial Killer - Duration: 6:55.

This episode is brought to you by Skillshare.

Today's killer tale might resonate a bit more with our viewers, as the story is ongoing.

Over the last year, we took you back to the 19th century with Jack the Ripper and H.H.

Holmes; we made you want to throw up your popcorn after outlining the despicable acts

of Ted Bundy, and we no doubt perplexed you with the story of human-skinsuit designer,

Ed Gein.

One other killer we've featured that was never caught, is known as the Zodiac Killer.

Looking at the news as we write this, we see its being reported that police believe they

might finally catch this guy.

How are they going to do it?

Well, the same way they got the Golden State Killer, the maniac being featured in this

episode of the Infographics Show, What Do We Know About the Golden State Killer?

Ok, so the Golden State Killer, we now know, is named Joseph James DeAngelo, and he's

a 72-year old man who is allegedly responsible for 12 murders and at least 50 rapes that

cops say he committed in California in the 70s and 80s.

In case you didn't know, California is nicknamed the Golden State because gold was found there

in the mid-18th century.

It's got nothing to do with the many sunny days the region experiences.

The police had been looking for this man for many years, and if you are an arch-criminal,

you should know that while the cops don't always get their man, they do keep looking.

He moved around the state and picked up various monikers from the press, such as the Visalia

Ransacker (from the city Visalia), the East Area Rapist, the Original Night Stalker (for

killings in Santa Barbara) and the Diamond Knot Killer (due to his acumen for tying knots

around his victims).

The police linked all those rapes and murders because he fits the bill due to his modus

operandi, which basically means someone's mode of operating, or how they do stuff.

Police believe that this man, who once was a cop himself, would surveil houses, and the

victims contained in them, before he committed his vicious acts.

He would usually choose women in middle class areas who lived alone in single story houses.

He would also always choose houses near a place where one could easily escape from,

such as near a creek or some kind of trail.

He was a cop; he knew which places offered the best kind of getaway plan.

But he went even further.

It's said for weeks, or even months before he attacked, he would sneak into the house,

empty guns of their bullets, leave windows unlocked, and occasionally call his victims

to better know their daily schedule (he hung up on them, of course).

Once he had their routine down and was confident he could easily escape from the scene of the

crime, he would strike, which often entailed tying the victim up with shoelaces.

If there was a man around, he would tie the woman and man together, and it's said he

would sometimes leave dishes on the man's back, telling him if he heard them fall the

couple would die.

With this set up, he would leisurely ransack the place.

He would sometimes steal valuable stuff, but also take things that didn't have much monetary

value.

It's believed in 1974 and 1975, he was very active as a burglar in Visalia, and one time

killed a journalism professor who was just trying to help his 16-year old daughter, but

it's also said most of the time the people he robbed didn't get hurt besides the wounds

they suffered from being tied up.

In the case of the prof, news reports tell us De'Angelo was stealing things when he

and the girl woke up and confronted him.

"The masked man pulled out a gun, fired twice, kicked the girl in the face and ran,"

we are told.

Many more burglaries happened, but after a while they stopped, only for similar things

to happen in other parts of California.

Police were always aware that one man was probably behind the many similar crimes.

As he was seen by many of his victims, he was described as being a big white chap around

200 pounds (90.7 kilos) with size 9 shoes (apparently he was a fan of Converse) and

at the time said to be about 25 to 35 years old.

He moved on to the areas of Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights and Carmichael, and so got

the name the East Area Rapist.

In the late 70s and early 80s, he moved to the areas of Goleta, Ventura, and Dana Point,

and was then known as the Original Night Stalker (the other Night Stalker is the vicious Satanist

and serial killer Richard Ramirez).

Then it all stopped, with police saying this clever killer gave up because police were

using DNA to catch culprits and he was too smart to think he could keep getting away

with these crimes.

"If you believe you saw him anywhere in Santa Barbara County, or personally know him,

please contact the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Bureau," police said in one newspaper back

in the day.

Then in 2016, cops offered a $50,000 reward, telling the public they didn't need much

more to get him as DNA from some of the houses where he had killed had given police a possible

suspect.

It's sounds crazy, but the cops used an online genealogy database to find out who

he was or who he was related to.

They found relatives of his who had used the same service.

According to news reports, around 100 users of this service matched the killer as a distant

relative.

"It took us only four months to get to the right pool of people," an investigator told

CNN, "This guided us to the right pool of people without having to ruffle the sensibilities

of a whole lot of people."

The police then looked at this small pool and knew they had got their man.

Cops couldn't charge De'Angelo with some crimes due to the statute of limitations (too

much time had passed) but he was charged with eight counts of murder.

In court he said nothing, other than to confirm who he was.

His arrest has caused some speculation regarding the capture of other serial killers that were

never caught, and we are not talking about the infamous Jack.

The one guy everyone wants caught is the murderer we have already featured in this series, none

other than the Zodiac Killer.

One man whose spent his life informally investigating the cryptogram maniac, told the press that

the Zodiac no doubt used saliva when he licked those envelopes he liked sending to the press.

"You just need to get the evidence, get it to the lab.

Just copy what was done with the Golden State Killer" Voigt told the media.

Similar sentiments were echoed by a real police investigator, albeit former investigator,

when talking to the Sacramento Bee.

The killer of at least seven people remains at large, but if he's still alive, he might

still get caught, said the ex-cop.

"I hope with all of the news and revelations about the Golden State Killer that it will

kind of be the impetus for the Zodiac," she told The Bee.

Why Meghan Markle Will Never Be Called A Princess - Duration: 1:24.

Meghan Markle may have earned herself a new title when she married into the royal family,

but she'll never be called Princess Meghan.

Here's why.

Following Markle's highly anticipated royal wedding, she was honored with the title …

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex

… a gift given by Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth the second.

According to The Sun, Markle may refer to herself as ...

Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales

… when using her husband's name.

However, she cannot be called Princess Meghan, as she was not born into the royal family.

As The Sun notes, Harry's mother, Diana, was given the title of Princess of Wales as a

courtesy after her marriage to Prince Charles.

However, she was never simply referred to as Princess Diana in any official capacity,

as she was not born into royalty.

Likewise, Markle's sister-in-law Kate Middleton is also a Duchess rather than a princess,

despite the media sometimes referring to her as one.

So what does this mean for Harry and Markle's children, should they have any?

Well, they won't be automatically called princes or princesses either.

Rather, they'll boast the title of lord or lady.

Unless, of course, Queen Elizabeth decides to gift them with the title of prince or princess.

After all, the queen has final say on all these matters and can bend tradition as she

sees fit, so it's best to stay on her good side.

How Theranos Pulled Off Its $9 Billion Scandal - Duration: 8:15.

- Theranos was one of those Silicon Valley stories

that sounded too good to be true.

It was going to revolutionize

the laboratory testing industry.

And it turns out, it was too good to be true.

John Carreyrou of The Wall Street Journal charted

that story about Theranos in his new book, Bad Blood.

John, thanks for joining us.

- Thanks for having me.

- So, let's talk about what Theranos was saying

it's technology could do

and what it was actually doing behind the scenes.

What were they selling to the public and investors?

- Right, so, when I started looking into the company

in early 2015, they had already gone live

with the blood test for a year and half.

- [Steve] And this was in Walgreens?

- In Walgreens stores, they'd rolled out

in a couple Walgreens stores in Northern California

and then another 40 or 45 Walgreens stores

in the Phoenix area.

And the claim was that they had a technology

that could run the full range of laboratory tests

from just a drop or two of blood pricked from the finger,

get you very fast results

and do it at a fraction of the cost as regular laboratories,

even cheaper than Medicare.

The reality was that Theranos had a prototype

that was the last iteration of it's device

called the Mini Lab.

And that was a malfunctioning prototype

that it was still trying to make work.

And when they had gone live in the fall of 2013,

they had gone live with a previous iteration

of the technology they called the Edison,

so named after Thomas Edison,

that was actually a very limited machine.

It could only do one class of blood tests

known as immunoassays.

And it didn't do those tests well.

It was an error ridden machine.

And so for the rest of the tests on the menu,

and they had about 250 tests on the menu,

they had hacked machines made

by the German conglomerate, Siemens.

They had modified them so that they

could accommodate small blood samples.

And then there was a third bucket of tests

that they just did the regular,

the old regular way with venous draws,

drawing the same amount of blood as everyone else

and running it also on commercial analyzers.

- So how does this happen?

This is a highly regulated industry here in the US,

you would think something like this

that was mostly smoke and mirrors

wouldn't be able to get past regulators

let alone into a major retail chain like Walgreens.

What did Elizabeth Holmes and her colleagues do

to sway regulators and sway Walgreens

into believing that this should

actually be put to use on real patients?

- Right.

So for one thing they exploited a,

what I call a regulatory no man's land,

in the laboratory space.

You have on the one hand the FDA

which regulates reviews and improves

the laboratory instruments that labs use

that they buy off the shelf and that they use in their labs.

And on the other hand, you have CMS,

the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services,

which is the regulator of clinical laboratories.

But, then there's this category of tests

known as laboratory developed tests

which are fashioned by labs with their own methods

that aren't really regulated by either of these entities.

And Elizabeth Holmes and her boyfriend, Sunny Balwani,

were able to exploit this third category

and say we fall in this category, what are known as LDTs,

because we're using our own proprietary machine

within the walls of our own lab.

Therefore, we don't have to be reviewed by the FDA

or at least our machines

don't have to be reviewed by the FDA.

And CMS which regulates labs doesn't look closely at LDTs

so that's the loophole that they were able to exploit.

Theranos had been doing, had been attempting

to validate it's technology for years

with pharmaceutical companies.

All these validation studies with big pharma companies

had failed and in early 2010 it was running out of options

so it decided to go straight to consumers.

And the way to do that was to align with a retail partner

and so they started courting Walgreens.

And they told Walgreens, we've got this great technology,

it's portable, it can do all these tests

off just a drop of blood and we want to partner with you.

And Walgreens was desperate for a new way to renewed growth.

And so it started meeting with Elizabeth in Palo Alto

and in Chicago where Walgreens is based.

And it hired a laboratory consultant, named Kevin Hunter

to help it do due diligence.

And this guy, Keven Hunter, as I explained in the book,

very early on smelled a rat.

And tried to alert Walgreens executives to his suspicions

and they just wouldn't listen to him.

- So these tests are being done in Walgreens,

you know they're hyping the technology,

cover stories on famous magazines and so forth.

Why weren't we hearing much from the medical community

or if we were why did it seem so diminished?

Why weren't there more flags from peers in the industry

- Right. - yelling at them?

- There were whispers in especially

the field of laboratory science.

But the bottom line is that the company was so secretive

and very little if anything was filtering out

of the company itself.

So, while there were some skeptics in academia

and in the field of laboratory testing,

all they could say was that there was this company

that was getting a lot of hype,

who's founder was becoming a Silicon Valley celebrity,

at the same time wasn't doing

what you usually do in medicine,

which is that you publish studies about your innovation

and you publish them in peer reviewed publications

and you have your peers check what you're doing

and verify it.

So there were a couple laboratory scientists

who actually wrote op-eds in scientific journals.

One of them was Dr. Ioannidis at Stanford

who came out with a gen op-ed in, I believe it was 2015.

I'd already started digging into the company at that point.

A couple months later, a laboratory scientist

at the University of Toronto, I believe,

had another op-ed in another scientific journal.

- Which no one reads these by the way,

it's not like The Wall Street Journal

where everyone's going to see it.

It's like these nerdy guys just talking about it.

- And you know, they started raising alarm bells

about the secrecy, about the,

they called it the stealth research.

- Which doesn't happen in this industry,

it should be peer reviewed right?

- Right, it should be, it certainly hasn't been the way

medical science has unfolded for the past century.

And so, to their credit, they were on the right track.

They didn't have the goods in terms of knowing

what was actually going on behind the scenes.

But, they had the right intuition.

- This story sounds a lot like what we hear

from Silicon Valley, the overpromise and under deliver.

- Right.

- You know, we're going to put out this really cool phone,

turns out to be faberware.

How does that relate to what happened with Theranos?

- In this case, I think Elizabeth lost sight of the fact

that her company wasn't a computer software company.

- Even though she was running it like that.

- She was running it like that.

She lost sight of the fact that it was first and foremost

a health care company.

A medical technology company who's product

doctors and patients were going to rely on

to make crucial health decisions.

- And if that new iPhone doesn't come out

it's not going to effect your health.

- And that's a big part of what went wrong with this story

is by really draping herself in the modus operandi

of Silicon Valley, instead of modeling herself after

say the biotech industry or another corner

of the healthcare industry.

She ended up behaving that way

and while it's OK most of the time to behave

that way in traditional tech, it isn't in healthcare.

New Announcement Means We Will Be Stuck With the Obamas for Years to Come. - Duration: 5:07.

New Announcement Means We Will Be Stuck With the Obamas for Years to Come.

An announcement hit the Internet revealing a multiyear deal the Obamas just struck.

It means Americans will be forced to put up with Barack and Michelle for much longer than

we had hoped.

The Obamas just might be the most egotistical family in American history, rivaled only by

the Clintons.

After nearly destroying our country over the course of eight years, Barry and Michelle

said, "We're not done."

Barack Obama was able to win over voters in 2008 with a vague promise of "hope."

Hope for what?

Installing socialism onto America?

Despite getting very close, the tyrannical president failed.

All his policies, "achievements," and intentions for our country only made things

worse.

Let's think about that.

The first black President was in office when the terrorist group, Black Lives Matter, was

founded.

This is a group that turns black people against white people and portrays police as villains,

and it was created on Barry's watch.

It was largely thanks to his irresponsible comments.

Occupy Wall Street happened under Obama.

A pathetic, communist-driven attack on our economic system was all but endorsed by the

White House.

Funny how they mobilized during a liberal's administration.

Yet despite bickering about corruption in the free market, nothing changed.

It seems like Obama wasn't very quick to take down Wall Street, although he let those

protesters destroy much of downtown New York.

We don't have to get into his immigration policy, which invited drug cartels and rapists

into the country.

Or his constantly placating to foreign powers, including enemies like Iran.

Or his agreeing to join the Paris Climate Accord, which would have cost us 6 million

jobs over the next 25 years (he did that without consent from Congress or the American people).

And who can forget Obamacare — a program so terrible, it all but ensured Trump's

victory.

Americans made their voices heard when they elected a man who promised to undo every last

Obama achievement.

Yet the Obamas can't take the hint.

They are still desperate to cling to their fading fame.

While there are still a few obsessed fans in the country, the vast majority of us have

moved on.

The Obamas haven't.

They insist they stay in the limelight.

That includes a multi-million-dollar book deal, constant appearances online and on TV,

and now, a major deal that will ensure they appear in your home every night.

Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have entered a multiyear agreement to produce new films

and shows with Netflix.

The former president and first lady are determined to produce a diverse mix of content, including

a potential scripted series, an unscripted series, a docu-series, documentaries and features,

according to a press release from Netflix about the deal.

The streaming service revealed the projects will be available to their 125 million members

in 190 countries.

The couple also established Higher Ground Productions, which will serve as the entity

under which they will produce content for Netflix.

"One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating

people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider

audience," said former President Obama in a statement.

[Source: Fox News]

If there was ever a reason to switch to Hulu, we've got it.I mean, honestly, this is just

sad.

The Obamas had eight years to ruin our country.

Shouldn't they just retire?

But I guess once you get a taste of the spotlight, it's hard to let go.

Much like their buddy Hillary Clinton, the Obamas can't take the hint.

It's over.

Go away.

Let the country forget about you.

How can we miss you, if you won't go away?

This is an ongoing pattern with the former First Family.

The Obama library is shaping up to be a disaster.

Books and documents will be replaced with a basketball court and recording studio.

Because why bother reading when you're at a library?

Does Barack Obama's ego know no bounds?

When have we ever seen a former president this eager to soak up attention?

Even Bubba Clinton laid low for a while; even today, he spends more time speaking overseas

than in the U.S.

It's clear that as the Obamas watch their political legacy get torched by Trump, they

need something else to hang their reputations on.

The logical choice is to go into movies.

Hey, they've been producing fiction for years now.

It's a perfect fit!

Perhaps they could have spared us eight years of torture and just gone into show business

in the first place.

what do you think about this?

Top 5 Widowmaker Tips to Rank Up FAST! Beginner to Advanced - Overwatch Guide - Duration: 8:13.

if there's one here that can completely ruin an enemy's game its Widowmaker good

widow-makers are probably the strongest thing in overwatch so today I'm going to

get you introduced to this beast of a sniper my name is Nathan and this is

Brigid guides, so I'm going to go over five things three different styles of

aim all which are extremely important to master and some basic positioning and

then just usage of venom mine and her ultimate should be pretty

straightforward the true mastery really comes from upping your reaction time and

also just learning your sensitivity really well so at number five we're

going to talk about the tracking style aim and when and where you should use it

tracking style aim refers to the very smooth aim where you're constantly

following your targets and lining up shots by moving your reticle in tandem

with the movement of the enemy by doing so you're able to more consistently land

shots and get the damage in where it is needed

you should always track when possible I'd say probably mid to long range is a

must when you're doing this there's just one thing that you have to keep

consciously in mind while you aim that will allow you to greatly improve your

accuracy just watch the animation of the enemy and line up shots where you can

predict where they will be if you see something like an enemy Widow flying

through the air you'll be able to easily predict where she will be because you

can't really control where you'll end up when you're flying through the air you

want to think about where the enemy will will be in the next second and track all

the way until they meet that point at which point you click and shoot and

hopefully get the kill this is by far the most consistent way to aim as Widow

if you're able to track and line up shots you'll more likely be able to get

damaged in and have your old up a lot there are two major things that you

should look for when going for a tracking shot why not wait until the

enemy jumps if the enemy jumps then you'll be able to follow the arc of

their jump and when they reach the highest point of it you can aim for

their neck and either get a hit shot if you think you can or at least go for the

body shot it's a small thing but it makes a drastic difference in your

consistency and the second tip if you can't wait for them to jump after

playing a lot of Widow really focus on learning which animations have the most

stable heads and try and learn where the animation moves slowest this tip is

definitely more tedious but if you focus and try to learn the animations and

predicting where their head will be stationary the longest you'll be able to

get more opportunities for headshots and number four we've got flicks flicks are

definitely the most important whenever you're at close range anything

mid to short-range I like to flick with I actually prefer flick shotting even

sometimes that long range just because I run a very high sense but it is a more

combo of the two if you don't already know that a flick shot is it's basically

just when you rapidly move your reticle from wherever you are currently aiming

to the enemy's head and just get the aim off quickly because it is such a fast

and violent movement you'll almost always end up missing since flicks are

more inconsistent so don't only ever flick the best way to learn widow is to

learn tracking and movement first and foremost and then learn to flick if you

do this you'll be able to learn intuitively where the enemy will be next

and you'll be able to flick to the position that the enemy will be at

allowing you to do mental tracking again you want to wait for the enemy to enter

in animation where they will be more predictably moving but instead of

tracking just wait until they're at the apex of their animation or jump and

you'll be able to line up the shots quicker two tips for flicks one whenever

you're trying to learn flicks I'd recommend going into a custom game with

some antibiotics that have only headshots turned on and practice

flicking a very short distance between their head and your reticle until you

can consistently land headshots from that distance and then slowly increase

the gap between the reticle and their head until you're flicking 90 degrees

from their head this will allow you to learn the sensitivity that you have and

help you find what's comfortable in second whenever you flick sometimes I

see players try and return their reticle to the original position after each

flick which if it works fine for you that's fine but sometimes it is better

to flick and not return your reticle to the original position to help you line

your next shot quicker it's something that doesn't seem intuitive at first but

it can be a big eight if you're having trouble learning flags

number three the last style of aim we have hook shots hook shouting is a

combination of using your hook and pressing space right before you hit the

ledge and then shooting in mid-air usually can't do a tracking shot when

you do this just because of the nature of a hook shot book shouting is a really

important skill to master so here are three tips to learning them what you

must always figure out where the enemy is hiding and where the tanks are going

to be so that you can avoid the tanks the tanks are going to be your biggest

enemy whenever you're trying to land a hook shot because they can block all the

damage very easily so you really have to focus on figuring out where the tanks

are going to be before you actually go for the hook shot so that you have an

idea of where the backline supports are or whatever pesky DPS that is stuck on

high that is annoying your team second you

want to know what you're going for you can't just really blindly hookshot

unless you have really good reflexes imagine the target that you're going to

be going after and jump up and go for just that kill and lastly hook shotting

basically just gives you a free shot so whenever you do go for a hook shot don't

worry if you can't get the kill you had your chance just try and make sure that

you land in a safe spot more often than not I see a lot of Widow makers go for a

hook shot and then they end up just landing in the enemy backline and dying

immediately because they didn't plan out where they were going to land before

they went for the hook shot if you hook shot and let yourself die you've ruined

the value that you might have gotten from that one kill as you're now dead

and your team is down a damage dealer only ever hook shot where you're going

to be safe and only ever hook shot into an equal or better position

and speaking of position at number two we're going to talk about where you

should be standing as Widow whenever you play Widow you're not

really going to have many options to get away from very high mobility heroes

because of this fact you're going to have to play very far back whenever

there are lots of threats on the objective and you're going to want to

play a bit closer up whenever your team can protect you and there aren't many

enemies on point or wherever the teamfight might be going on high ground

is going to be your best friend also try and take positions where the enemy tanks

our mobile DPS are going to be forced to leave the team and try to deal with you

if you take cross angles that are distance the enemy has no option other

than to try and go after you or at least die to you because if they try and block

you your entire enemy team is going to be on the opposing angle firing damage

as well you really should never be on point as Widow because of this fact also

sometimes it is advantageous if you go for a flank as Widow however I wouldn't

really recommend this unless you're starting to land consistent shots so

just be very honest with yourself if you're going to go for a big flank but

summarize the biggest thing you want to always be considering as Widow whenever

you're positioning is risk versus reward if you're taking a risky angle where

you're maybe only going to get a kill on the enemy Genji it's probably not worth

taking that shot but if you're taking a say position where you're likely to get

the kill on these end you definitely want to hold that position until there

is no more opportunities to kill constantly ask yourself who you want to

kill and why and if that positioning is going to help you to do so while also

keeping you safe if you do this you'll be a much more consistent widow because

positioning is going to be king whenever you're playing Widow not

or aim and lastly at number one we're going to talk about the most

underutilized parts of Buddha's kits her wallhack and venom mine venom mine is

extremely useful for setting up where you're going to be standing so that if

you get jumped it the extra 75 damage over time will give you the opportunity

to finish your opponent even if you die the meta mine is also very useful for

throwing over the enemy lines so that you can hopefully get it activated on

some support in the backline allowing you to see their positioning immediately

if you can do this you're going to be able to take a position where you might

be able to land a shot on set support so use it wisely and with wallhack so

you'll also be able to do the same thing in addition to this you're going to be

able to see the positions of the enemy lines and from which you can call out

where they will be and get your team to focus on some enemy that's stranded by

themselves you can use your old before each teamfight and you want to use your

friend of mine at all times anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this guide let me

Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge responds to reported fall out with Jurgen Klopp ● News Now ● #LFC - Duration: 1:58.

Daniel Sturridge has played down reports of a bust-up with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

According the Anfield Edition, Sturridge's relationship with Klopp had turned 'sour'

after not being invited to join the Liverpool squad Saturday's the Champions League final

against Real Madrid.

However, Sturridge has responded to the report, claiming there's no bad blood between him

and Klopp.

The striker, who was sent out to West Brom on loan for the second half of the season,

has instead wished his team-mates all the best for the final in Kiev.

Sturridge posted on Twitter: "Spoke to the boss and sporting director Michael Edwards

over the couple of days and wished them good luck for the final.

"Wished my team mates good luck after the semis and this week.

#ynwa #redordead"

Sturridge will be in line to receive a Champions League winners' medal should Liverpool beat

Real Madrid this weekend.

The former England international made five substitute appearances for the Reds in the

group stage, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Sturridge will go into the summer transfer window with his future at Liverpool up in

the air.

The 28-year-old has endured another injury-plagued campaign, starting just five games for the

Reds before joining West Brom on January 29.

He managed just 116 minutes of Premier League football for the Baggies after picking up

another hamstring problem and failed to find the back of

the net.

A Deeper Look At Triangulation and How to Recover From One - Duration: 3:50.

So, Really cool information isn't it?

your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

Thank you to brilliant dot org for supporting PBS Digital Studios.

Water has been essential to the development of life on Earth, but knowing the age of water,

and where water might exist in our galaxy is one of the best clues astronomers have

for figuring the odds of extraterrestrial life.

How do astronomers actually LOOK for other worlds though?

If you're *thirsty* for answers to that and other astronomy questions, Brilliant has

a course all about astronomy.

It includes a breadth of knowledge about the cosmos, and lessons like "Worlds Beyond

Earth" teach you the tools that astronomers use to search for and study planets outside

our own solar system.

Brilliant's lessons are broken up into bite-size pieces, with instruction designed to guide

you through problems.

Learning about astronomy is about more than facts and memorizing.

Staying curious is about learning how to learn anything.

REFLECTION - Eric-Pierre Drouin - Duration: 7:24.

REFLECTION

-Hey Henry! I thought you weren't coming?

-Well, I figured it was better than staying at home and doing jack shit.

At least there's alcohol.

Woah man, are you ok?

-I'm feeling great!

I only drank a few beers before coming here.

-Are you sure it was only beer?

-Fuck you...

-You really should go talk to her. You look like a stalker when you look at her like that...

-Shut up. Like, I know, but, c'mon, i'm nervous.

-Nah! You're kidding me!?! (Sarcastic)

-Anyways, i'm gonna get more punch.

See ya!

-...yeah, no, nevermind.

-Yep, Derek put something in the punch.

-Hello.

-WOAH, WOAH, WOAH....

-Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself.

In short, I am you.

-Wait, wait... woah...

Are you, like, my conscience?

-Yeah, no, Actually i'm more like...

...to put into words...

I'm more a manifestation of all your subconscious thoughts.

-Of course, because that makes MUCH more sense.

-And there you have it, the reason why i'm here.

Henry.

To put it nicely...

...you're a pain in the ass.

-Wait, what?

-No but have you looked at yourself recently? Since you've started college you decided to take on a real shitty attitude.

"Oh look at me! I'm so antisocial and don't give a shit about anything" It's really getting on my nerves.

-Ok, wait...

I just learned...

...that mirrors can talk...

...and this one has nothing better to do than criticize me.

Great! Even my damn reflection is an ass.

-Exactly.

-Wait, can you start from the beginning?

-Do you remember High School?

You had friends, you had fun...

you went to party's, you felt alive!

Then you decided to grab all of you stuff and move to the other side of the state.

What's your problem!? Why did you have to ruin everything?

-Ah, ok, so it's my fault that there aren't any schools that teach music back home?

-But there were definitely some that were closer than here.

-Well, guess what? I got tired of being around the same people for 18 years.

I wanted to start anew.

-Wait, start anew?

Are you kidding me?

You looked more like someone who was running away from something.

And don't have me believe you only left because you were "tired of seeing the same people all the time".

-Ok, Shut up. Just shut up.

-That's right, like you told Sam, Will, Raph and Michael.

You purge your friends list and try to forget everything.

That's how you fix a problem?

-Alright, you wanna talk about prom?

-Ok, I got drunk and told everyone off.

How would you have taken care of that mess? I messed up! That's why I ran.

-I would have owned up to it.

-SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!

-Hey, is everything alright in there?

- It's occupied!

-I did something awful. I was ashamed.

I messed everything up and just wanted to start over...

...so I came here, but I don't know anybody...

...and I don't know how to make friends...

...and i'm just afraid I'll make another mistake.

-You know...

...there's another way to look at all of this.

You tell yourself that you've learned from your mistake, it won't happen again, and life goes on.

-Say, where did I learn all of that?

-I don't know. I think it's just something you've always wanted to tell yourself.

-So... Now what?

-Go talk to her. Start anew. Live.

-That's a good plan.

Hey, am I ever going to see you again?

-Actually, I have no clue how all of this works...

...so i'm just going to say goodbye just in case.

-See ya.

-Hi!

-Hey, Henry... right?

Yeah, yeah, you're the shy guy that has stayed silent all year.

-Yeah... I wanted to change that tonight.

-So he's breaking out of his shell!

Hey, by any chance, did Derek put something in your drink to make to act like this all of a sudden?

-What? No, no...

...well, I don't think so...

Breaking News - Exclusive: Karsa after MSI: 'I had a special sense we'd beat Kingzone' - Duration: 5:17.

It had been 1,106 days since a Korean team had lost of a best-of-five series to a team from a different region

Chinese champions Royal Never Give Up stepped up to the plate and finally ended their long search for an international trophy

RNG finally took home the LPL title for the first time ever jsut a few weeks prior and managed to carry their winning momentum into a sensational victory against Kingzone DragonX

And one man who played a crucial role was Taiwanese jungler Hung 'Karsa' Hau-Hsuan

He had the highest KDA of any player in the knockouts (6.4) and the third most assists (56)

Despite RNG's track record in finals and the usual dominance of the LCK, Karsa doesn't think their win was an upset: 'Before the final, I wasn't nervous

I had a special sense that we were going to win against Kingzone. Now we've gone and accomplished that, it was as expected

' Despite playing it cool in the post-match interview, there was no doubt how much this meant to Karsa

In a recent interview with Inven, RNG's coach said Karsa was a very emotional player and had cried a lot throughout the split

Fortunately for RNG, Karsa was only shedding tears of joy on stage in Paris - it was his first time competing in an international final and it couldn't have worked out any better

All of his hard work had paid off but Karsa admitted that it had been a struggle: 'This was a really tough season for me after joining a new region

'At first, I was unfamiliar with my teammates and with the LPL meta but now I'm really used to it

I've adapted well, I really like the food in China and can communicate with my team easily

'When I'm under-performing I get really sad but my teammates have helped me a lot, Ming especially is able to calm me and provide me with support

I'm just super happy that all my dedication has paid off by us winning this championship

' Overcoming those personal struggles can only have made victory taste sweeter and Karsa says avenging his former team was the icing on the cake: 'I was with Flash Wolves for three years, I still have a really good relationship and connection with all of the people there

I'm sad that they lost to Kingzone but now I'm even happier we won, it feels like revenge

' Revenge is exactly what Kingzone will be looking for and they'll be even more desperate to prove themselves internationally when the World Championships return to Korea later this year

Yet, Karsa isn't concerned. The team are understandably on a high and have no intentions of slowing down: 'I have full trust in this team

I've been picking utility champions so all I have to do is not feed and this team will carry me

'I think we definitely can make it to Worlds this year and go far, I think we're super strong and super confident - our ultimate goal is that World Championship trophy

Breaking News - At The Races presenter Hayley Moore stops loose horse at Chepstow - Duration: 1:38.

Hayley Moore took getting stuck into the action to a new level when broadcasting from Chepstow on Tuesday

Moore, daughter of trainer Gary, sister of three-time champion Flat jockey Ryan and with two other jump jockey brothers, Jamie and Josh, was hosting coverage for At The Races at the Welsh track when three-year-old Give Em A Clump unseated jockey Fran Berry in the seven-furlong handicap

The blinkered runner then ran loose with several people diving out of the way. He looked like evading capture until Moore grabbed his reins when he galloped past

Despite being knocked from her feet and dragged, she hung on. Playing down her brave exploits, Moore said: 'I'm used to catching horses, but not quite like that! 'He had the blinkers on

He was panicking a little, he was running on adrenaline. He just caught the side of my face, which is what knocked me down, but I'm fine

that you need to know what I just said there so that's not to blow your

eardrums basically thank you so much mr. cloud wolf for following through with me

on the series and amazing job on the map by the way I really enjoyed playing

throughout it the ending was not what I expected I kind of thought that I was

going to save everybody it just went away and that would be the end but that

actually makes a lot of sense disinterring the title that you gave to

the map itself also big shout-out to Shara dreamer for the three models as

listed by cloud wolf aside from that this was a really really

well thought-out map what I did not expect was how I didn't end up saving a

kid who was inside the crate the entire time he was probably still waiting for

me to come back and save him yeah not anymore now sadly anyways

there's still a bit more to the video so I'm gonna let you guys get to the last

of it a few moments later I've been notified of that by

mr. wolf himself and their parent Li there was the fire within as well as the

quantum labs map which is what not definitely what I'm gonna check out

later but other than that let's let's let's pick up here I think I think

there's more weights is there any more

I don't know what I did get me out no wait how about get out okay I guess I

guess something went wrong here I'm furiously trying to top my right

mouse button it's not working so I'm assuming that's the end of that here

since I can't proceed any further um we're just gonna go ahead and end the

series here then Sara at least you're alive you know what that that's one

How To Start A YouTube And Video Business With What You Have - Duration: 4:49.

Are you worried that you have to buy lots of equipment to start your YouTube business

and video business? Fear not! You already actually have either everything you

need but don't realise it, or you just need one or two simple low-cost items

you can easily buy to get started without delay. Welcome to this video

entitled:" How To Start A YouTube and Video Business With What You Have". To

start your YouTube business and video business without delay, you don't have to

produce a Hollywood blockbuster! So what can you use to get your business

off the ground? Also, be sure to watch the video to the very end where you'll be

able to get details of how to download your free PDF copy of: " The 7 Critical

Reasons Why You Should Be On YouTube".

Hi, my name is Jeff Laming of Video Cashflow and in this video we're going to

absolutely amaze ourselves with what we already have to get your YouTube channel

set up whilst getting your YouTube and video business motoring. Before we do so,

and if this is the first time you're watching a Video Cashfolw video and

you like what you see, hear and read then please click the "Subscribe" button below

this video to get more video marketing and business videos on a weekly basis.

So what have we got to get our YouTube and video business going without maybe

realising it? 1. A smartphone or a digital camera. Do you have one of these? Do you

know how to operate these items? If yes, great! If no, great! Learn now - it won't

take you long - literally minutes. Practice for half an hour so to get the hang of

it, and then you'll be ready. 2. A tripod. Do you have a board and easel in your loft,

garage or cellar? This will do! Do you have anything that could be used to hold

a smartphone, a camera, or a tablet? This will do! If none of the above are viable,

seek out a tripod from a local specialist shop that will be compatible

with your camera, phone or tablet. 3. A microphone (or mic). This is one tool you

need to ensure is of a decent quality. Make sure it's compatible with a

smartphone, tablet or camera that you're going to use. It's worth visiting a

specialist shop to determine which microphone will do the job. I do not

recommend buying from Amazon unless you know what you're buying. 4. Lighting. Use

natural daylight where you can. For indoors, film in front of a

window with natural light. When indoors - and the natural light is poor because of

dull or wet weather - supplement with the lighting in your room. No, it's not ideal

but many Youtubers have used kitchen tinfoil and desk lamps to make good and very

effective use of artificial light. When filming outside you have many options,

however, beware of background noise as this is definitely something to avoid.

5. Resourcefulness. Not a physical tool but I'm including it as a vital

ingredient to get your other tools in place, and for you to start taking action. You have

seen that you don't have to spend a fortune on tools and it's likely that

you already have access to the tools required. So, examples of resourcefulness

include: (1) Placing your camera on a steady pile of books; (2) Using a

retractable music stand; (3) Filming in natural light i.e. outdoors - weather and

background noise permitting, of course; (4) Imagination is the key. And number 6. Summary.

- that's it! Camera, smartphone, tablet, tripod, microphone and

resourcefulness! And the point to stress in all of this is to start taking

action....now! Get used to the tools and the quality of your videos, including the

sound, the lighting, and the way you speak, and the way you present yourself.

Everything will improve over time, and if you're in the position to do so, start

generating sales of your products as quickly as possible. if you want to

upgrade your tools re-invest the cash generated by your sales or by other

sources of income you have access to i.e. wages, salary, savings etc. If you found

any of this information useful please enter: "Video Business" in the Comments

Take Heed|Seven Spiritual Laws|About Poverty - Duration: 20:52.

hey guys it is Candice with Kings prosper Network thanks so much for

tuning in today take heed of these seven spiritual laws about poverty oh my gosh you guys I have been down for five days I'm finally

getting my voice back I had the flu and it was not a fun time but I am an

overcomer because here I am but look I wanted to do this video and I'm not sure

if you know who Danny Johnson is but she is this amazing woman who I follow I've

read several of her books she's amazing and she used to be homeless and she is

now like a multi-millionaire and she is on a I guess like the motivational

speaker circuit she really makes people think she helps people increase their

wealth and I was reading something of hers the other day which caused me to

want to do this video and this video is going to provide you with some spiritual

laws as to God's financial Kingdom and what you can do to guarantee that you

will live a life of poverty and I know that nobody wants that I don't think

anybody when they're born and they go through life think oh when I grow up I

want to be broke alright so these are gonna be seven laws for you to take note

of to see if this is the reason why you are still struggling with your finances

so I'll be right back and we will dive right

hey guys so welcome back now let's get on to these seven spiritual laws okay

and the first one is a lack of wisdom and wisdom can be defined as

understanding discernment and a lot of people are broke or struggling

financially because they're just not wise with money all right

in the book of James chapter 1 verse 5 it says if anyone of you lacks wisdom

ask God because he will give it to you freely all right now according to the

book of Proverbs okay it says that what use I have notes over here you guys what

uses money in the hand of a fool since he has no desire to get wisdom Wow

think about that for a second okay what good would it be for someone who has no

idea on how to wisely use their money invest their money what good is that

going to be to someone when they're not wise with it it's it's no it's no good

to put money into the hand of someone who is not wise all right and it also

goes on to say in proverbs 21 17 that he who loves pleasure is going to become

poor and those are people who have money but then they go off on the weekends and

they're partying or they're entertaining themselves at the movies you know or

they're buying you know the brand new Louis Vuitton bag when they don't have

enough money to pay their electric bill those kind of things okay so lack of

wisdom that is number one okay moving on to law number two and that is laziness

and there's no other way to say it laziness okay in the book of Proverbs

chapter 28 verse 19 it says he who works is going to have plenty of food all

right and in proverbs 6 9 it's like how long will you lie there you sluggard

that's a funny word sluggard but it's like people who are just laid-back not

doing anything all right so if you're not gonna work you're not going to put

in the effort that's going to cause you to not have an abundance of wealth all

right like I know a lot of people and I know some people personally even people

within you know family and whatnot that decided they don't want to do anything

and so they just lay around and they don't have much because they decided you

know hey I don't want to work or you know I don't want to do anything to

further my knowledge further wisdom okay there's no magic formula all right

that's gonna just make money fall out of the sky all right but if you want to get

wealth and then you're gonna have to work for it and there are some many

different ways to work you know like myself I'm in enough I'm an entrepreneur

all right I do online marketing I post ads

I get paid but it's still work all right and I used to be a paralegal that's work

you know I went to the law firm I did all the things that I needed to do as a

paralegal with legal research and typing up documents and you know filing court

documents you know so if you want to gain wealth then you have to work simple

is that okay law number three you guys hiding your sins okay nobody likes to

talk about sin but I'm gonna tell you something all

right God already knows everything anyway and there's no reason to try to

hide it from him because he sees everything okay but when we try to cover

things up all right that's gonna cause you to not succeed financially it says

in proverbs 28:13 if you cover up your sin you will never do well all right

you don't want to try to keep hiding that junk all right there's no reason to

you you need God to shine a big ol spotlight on it and just bring it all

out in the open and just be like okay look this is me this is my junk you know

help me with this and you know what when you do that and you turn away from that

junk that's holding me back then you give yourself an opportunity to get

forgiveness from God all right and he will make those changes inside of you

all right and those are what is going to lead you to prosperity as crazy as it

sounds but it's very very true all right because I myself I'll be quite honest

with you in my past you know I I'm quite I have quite the jaded past and I'm sure

it would probably surprise a whole lot of you you know but I would've reached

the end of myself one day and I'm like you know what I don't want to live like

this anymore and I mean if you're talking to somebody here at one point in

my life I was on welfare I was on food stamps I lived in a mobile home that was

rundown I remember the front door was so tore up

that it was held together with duct tape you guys all right that used to be me

and when I said okay god I'm sick of this

I'm sick of this junk you know the things that I was doing wrong in my life

that I knew weren't doing me any good and were actually you know taking away

from any finances that I did have at the moment but when I gave all that stuff to

him and I just brought it all out into the light and I said okay God changed me

you know what things started happening in my life

and I became very successful in my career as a paralegal you know where I

was making a very very good salary and I know that is because I decided to quit

trying to hide my junk and get it right so that is the third thing that you guys

want to take note of if you are trying to hide anything then don't just don't

just give it to him and say look I don't want to do this anymore I don't want to

live this way anymore help me and guess what he will and that sets you up for

prosperity rather than poverty okay law number for you guys loving money above

everything else all right first Timothy chapter 6 verse 10 says

for the love of money is the root of all evil

it does not one time does it say that money is evil itself okay but it is the

love of money and when you know you love money when it never gives you enough

okay if you feel like something has never fulfilled that you never have

enough money if that's the case then you're making money and idle okay and

instead of worshiping God because honestly God is the one who provides us

well God is the one who gives us the ability to create

okay money comes from him everything is his all right but when you are loving

that money more than you love God then it's become an idol okay and his his

number one commandment is to love him all right above anything else and you

need to love him with all of your heart with all of your being because you can't

serve two masters okay because if you try to serve two masters you're going to

end up hating one and loving the other all right and it says an if you love

money above God above your spouse above your children poverty is going to come

and find you all right so seek God first seek his

kingdom first and then all of these things will be added unto you

alright so that is number four number four you guys don't love money more than

God okay lot five being prideful when you do have

a lot of money okay you know God like I said before with the law number four

okay that's the one who gives us well so if you are endowed with a big sum of

money or you make a big fat paycheck or you've earned a huge Commission you've

got to remember to give God the glory because he's the one who gave you that

ability to create that wealth okay but when you start puffing yourself

up and you know like what do I need to thank God for I earned this I did this

you know that's a dangerous dangerous place to be okay you know God wants us

to be prosperous he wants to just lavish all kinds of good gifts on us okay but

he doesn't for those whose hearts are turned toward him all right because it

says in Deuteronomy 28 47 through 48 because you did not serve the Lord your

God hopefully in gladly in the time of

prosperity therefore in hunger and thirst in

nakedness and dire poverty you will serve the enemies that the Lord sends

against you whoa you guys that is like whoa you know

I don't want to ever think that I'm the one who who provided this income for

myself all right because I know that it was God who gave it to me

and you guys need to to humble yourselves and exalt God because when

you do that you put your stuff in a position to get more wealth but when you

start thinking I don't need God he didn't supply this to me and those lines

of thinking that's going to just cause you to totally crash and burn and hit

rock bottom

okay guys lost sex being stingy or miserly some people aren't familiar with

the term miserly but it's another word for being stingy okay and it says in

Proverbs 28 20 to the distinct man is eager to get rich and is unaware that

poverty awaits him okay and you guys really need to grasp the understanding

of stingy okay because some people confuse that with being frugal and

honestly there is a difference between stin genus and being frugal all right

because frugal means that you're spending your money wisely that being

stingy means that you're selfishly hoarding your money and usually you do

that out of greed or out of fear okay because you worried that you won't have

enough so you're just gonna hold on to it but a frugal person spends their

money wisely on things that they know that they need instead of like well I'm

not going to help this person because I might not have enough but a frugal

person is someone say for example just even with us we

turned off our cable television I'm like what the heck are we paying 147 dollars

a month for when all we do is sit there with the remote click click click click

there's nothing on TV you know I could perfectly live without television

whatsoever my husband on the other hand he likes his TV time but we did get rid

of the cable and we purchased a $20.00 HD TV antenna and you know we have

Amazon fire sticks so he streams you know shows that he likes to watch and

what does that cost us like ten dollars a month instead of a hundred and forty

seven dollars so we have extra money that we can actually give to other

causes and also save money ourselves so that's the difference between being

stingy and being frugal and that is lost six okay guys lost seven fear do not let

fear hold you back look in Matthew chapter 25 Jesus told a story about

three servants and their master and the master was going away so he gave each of

the servants a talent okay and we'll look at that talent as money so he gave

each of them the exact amount of money all right

and the first servant invested the money you've got money back on it you know

earned interest and all that the second one did the same thing didn't earn as

much as the first servant but he still invested and he still got his master's

money back with interest and then the third servant did absolutely nothing and

so when the master came back and he asked each of them you know what they

had done and he found out that the two servants invested and and earned

interest and he was very happy with them and then the one who did absolutely

nothing because of fear he was not happy with him at all okay and this servant

because of the fear showed a lack of faith and because of that lack

faith everything was taken from him you know he was left with absolutely nothing

not even the one talent that he was given to begin with you guys um in the

book of Proverbs chapter 28 verse 25 it says a greedy man stirs up dissension

but he who trusts in the Lord will prosper okay so when you're greedy and

you're holding on to it and you're holding on to it you don't want to let

it go because you're afraid of what would happened you're not trusting in

the Lord but when you trust in the Lord and you just release it to him

guess what he is going to cause you to prosper but if you keep holding on to it

you're lacking faith and you have to trust God you have to put your faith in

him and when you do that good things are going to happen okay now these seven

laws that I've talked to you about that keep you in bondage to poverty okay

think about this all right God wants to bless his children he wants to see us

prosperous all right but when we are acting like little brats and we're being

selfish and we're being greedy or were being lazy then he's not going to bless

us and he's not going to prosper us it's just like we as parents you know if you

have children you can totally relate to this all right because I have kids and

when my kids are throwing a fit and they are whining or having a tantrum or being

lazy and not wanting to do anything around the house

those type of things I certainly don't want to bless them it's not gonna be

like oh yeah here here's 50 bucks to get spin at the mall or yeah let's go buy

that outfit that you wanted no I don't do those things when my kids are not

behaving in the right way all right and the same thing goes with with God okay

he is not going to bless us he's not going to prosper us if we are being

selfish instead gee okay so he wants people to be free

and that's why I wanted to do this video because like I said I I was reading

something earlier last week and it really made me want to do this video

because so many people I think are trapped in this financial bondage like

this you guys and it's because maybe you're doing one of these seven things

or maybe you're doing all of them I don't know but I want you to see that

there are ways to get free alright so I'm gonna do another video later this

week and it is going to go over the loss to be prosperous not the laws that keep

you in bondage to prompt to poverty but laws that are going to set you down that

road to becoming prosperous wealthy and abundant alright so I hope that you've

gotten some value out of this video and if you find that you are doing any of

those seven things that are keeping you down here financially just give it to

God say look I'm sorry help me you know give

me wisdom show me what to do differently because he will do that and he will

forgive you and everything will be like wiped away clean slate he did it for me

he can do it for you guys to just take some faith alright so I hope that you've

gotten some value I love you guys please like this video please share it with

someone and if you have questions or you just want to say hey comment down below

but I'll be seeing you guys soon with another video and I hope you have an

amazing day
