HAWAII SENATE, SHE SAID IF YOU FOLLOW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE

STATE CONVENTION IN MAY OF LAST YEAR I GOT BOOED FOR 10

MINUTES FOR RAISING CONCERNS ABOUT DONALD TRUMP AND THE WAY HE

TREATED WOMEN AND MINORITIES IN HIS REMARKS.

AT THE TIME I SAID THIS SHOULD NOT REFLECT OUR PARTY.

SHE THEN WENT TO THE WOMEN'S MARCH EQUIVALENT IN HAWAII AND

REITERATED THOSE SAME SENTIMENTS.

SHE SAYS SINCE THEN THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CALLS FOR MY RESIGNATION

AND MY CAUCUS MEMBERS HAVE RAISED CONCERNS ABOUT WHETHER THAT

MEANS I'M REPUBLICAN, WHETHER OR NOT THAT MEANS I'M FIT FOR

LEADERSHIP, WHETHER THAT MEANS I SHOULD EVEN BE AN ELECTED OFFICIAL.

APPARENTLY AFTER SPEAKING WITH OTHER REPUBLICAN MEMBERS OF THE

STATE LEADERSHIP, SHE SAID THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD KEEP ME IN THIS

POSITION IF I WOULD COMMIT TO NOT DISAGREEING WITH OUR

PRESIDENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF HIS TERM.

SHE SAYS MR.

SPEAKER, I'M BEING REMOVED BECAUSE I REFUSE TO

MAKE THAT COMMITMENT, BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT IS OUR JOB AS AMERICANS

AND AS LEADERS OF THIS BODY TO CRITICIZE POWER WHEN POWER IS WRONG.

THAT'S PRETTY AMAZING.

NO CRITICISM OF HIM FOR THE REMAINDER OF HIS TERM ON ANY TOPIC.

IN HAWAII, WHICH IS NOT -- THAT'S NOT DEEP ALABAMA.

THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SORT OF SET OF

POLITICAL OPINIONS BETWEEN REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE FREE-SPEECH INDIVIDUALS WHO RALLY FREE

SPEECH, SO THEY WILL SHOW UP AT COLLEGE CAMPUSES AND SAY THE

MOST PROVOCATIVE THINGS THEY DON'T EVEN BELIEVE, AND AS SOON AS

SOMEONE PROTESTS THEY HAVE A HISSY FIT?

ARE THEY UPSET WITH WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THIS REPRESENTATIVE?

MAYBE THEY DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY FUCKING SAY AND THEY

DON'T VALUE FREE SPEECH WHATSOEVER.

IT'S BLIND DEVOTION TO THE LEADER, THAT KILLS PARTIES EVENTUALLY

BUT IT TAKES A WHILE AND IT'S UGLY WELL IT'S HAPPENING.

WE TALK A LOT ABOUT AUTHORITARIANISM AND THE

AUTHORITARIAN PERSONALITY IN AMERICA, THAT IS A WIDE

GRADIENT OF POTENTIAL OUTCOMES FROM WANTING TO TOTALLY END

DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA DOWN TO SIMPLY THINKING AUTHORITY FIGURES

ARE THEREFORE REASON AND YOU DON'T GO AGAINST THEM.

THAT CAN TAKE PLACE IN STATE GOVERNMENTS OR IN AS SMALL A SCALE

AS AN INDIVIDUAL FAMILY WHERE THE FATHER IS IN A POSITION OF

AUTHORITY OVER THE REST OF THE FAMILY INCLUDING THE MOTHER,

AND THIS HAS EFFECTS THROUGHOUT SOCIETY AND GOVERNMENT AND

NOW SOME REPUBLICANS REALIZE IT IS AFFECTING THEM AS WELL.

BETH FUKIMOTO WROTE A LETTER SAYING SHE WILL TAKE FEEDBACK FROM HER

CONSTITUENTS, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY SHE MIGHT SWITCH TO THE

DEMOCRATIC PARTY ALTHOUGH SHE WOULD LOSE MINORITY LEADER STATUS

AS A RESULT --

IT WOULD BE NICER TO STAY IN HER PARTY AND CHANGE THEM AND SORT OF

CHANGE THAT, IF SHE COULD.

THERE IS NO HOPE IN CHANGING THEM.

BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING, HAVE THAT DISSENTING VOICE, THAT'S GREAT.

BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY SHE WOULDN'T WANT TO BE THERE, AND THERE

IS ALSO NO HOPE.

I WAS JUST SAYING IT WOULD BE NICE.

WE WANT TO GIVE CREDIT TO HER, WE TRY TO NOTICE WHEN

REPUBLICANS DO THE SORT OF RISKY POLITICAL THING OF GOING

AGAINST DONALD TRUMP, WE GAVE MARCO RUBIO CREDIT WHEN HE BRIEFLY

GREW A BIT OF A SPINE DURING SOME OF THE NOMINATION QUESTIONS, BUT NOT

THE NOMINATION VOTES, FOR CABINET HEARINGS, AND IT IS A RARE THING.

WE DON'T SEE A LOT OF IT BUT WE HAVE SUSAN COLLINS AND LISA

MURKOWSKI SAYING THEY WILL GO AGAINST BETSY DEVOS, NOW YOU

HAVE THIS HAPPENING IN HAWAII, AND AS HE GROWS MORE AND MORE

UNPOPULAR WE MIGHT SEE MORE OF IT.

WE WANT PEOPLE TO DO WHAT LINDSEY GRAHAM SAYS HE WILL DO BUT NEVER

DOES.

5 Reasons You Should Be HYPED for the Nintendo Switch! - Woopsire - Duration: 5:36.

The nintendo switch recently had its reveal event and wow does it look amazing.This might

just be one of the consoles I actually preorder for launch day instead of waiting til my birthday

or christmas like ive done in the past with major consoles.

Addmitedly I am a pretty mediocre fan of nintendo, as i really only like and play pokemon and

a few of the legend of zelda games but that doesnt seem to affect my hype in the slightest.

I did enjoy the wii u with games like smash and… well uhh just smash actually.

So the wii u in my opionon was a terrible console and didnt make me feel excited for

anything from nintendo.

But I believe in nintendo as a company, and I know they have learned from their mistakes

and I believe that the swtich will do everything the wiiu did wrong.

So basically just not beeing like the wiiu at all.

Anyway I wanted to share with you guys the top 5 reasons why im hyped for the nintendo

switch and why you should be too.

Now if youre familiar with my channel then you know that the content I upload is primarily

pokemon so im going to be looking at this from a pokemon standpoint.

Conincidentaly that brings me to the first reason, as im assuming if youre like me then

you like nintendo for pokemon pretty much.

#1 Reason number 1 of why you should be hype

is the attractive looking and sounding new games!

With the release of the Nintendo Switch we got some information on a lot of other games

being released with it.

Nothing pokemon related, well not yet anyways but thats besides the point.

With games like breath of the wild and Arms coming out, I can safely say that I am definitly

open to the possibility of finding some new games to enjoy.

I might even give splatoon a try, who knows.

I know a common complaint now is the amount of launch titles is a bit lower in comparison

to the wiiu as the wiiu had 23 while the switch so far has 6 announced but with the interesting

games being released throughout the year I think this is perfect as it gives the switch

some longevity.

You obviously wanna push sales at the start but you dont want to have nothing to back

it up.

I know for sure im definitly getting my copy of Just Dance 2017 on release day though

#2 The Pokemon Company have always said they

want to keep main series pokemon games on handheld, but the idea with the switch is

it combines handheld and home console.

Granted its not the best handheld, with only a 3 hour battery life but hey, we can dream

cant we?

A main series game on the switch would be awesome and very possible in my opinion.

I actually talked a lot about this in my video from last week, where i went over some things

I;d like to see in Project Stars which by the way is just a codename so the name could

still be anything so stop yelling at me in the comments.

But self plugging aside the switch could very loosely be considered a handheld console and

thus a small possibility of a major title launch.

Im torn on which to believe because as shown in the most recent nintendo event they dont

want the 3ds to die out, as shown by the planned release of the new fire emblem game.

Only time will tell

#3 As I touched on a bit earlier, nintendo has

learned from their mistakes and are starting to adapt to how modern games are changing

and evolving.

Everything goes through trends and phases and gaming is no exception.

I dont wanna throw shots, as I love nintendo but theyve always been lagging behind the

other major consoles.

Theres a reason why the console war is only really between xbox and playstation, because

nintendos like the one kid trying to push the circle into the square hole, its just

not working.

Theyve already shown theyre trying to adapt, for instance all the major game developers

they've signed to work with and produce games for the switch, Bethesda and sqaure being

some big names in there along with a ton of others.

They've also started up a ton of reboots to older and beloved games such as the crash

series and as long as they keep the ball rolling I know the switch will please gamers everywhere.

Maybe with the next great console war nintendo will actually be a chosen console

#4 So 4 and 5 kinda go hand in hand, but the

improvement in hardware will be a huge leap in the quality of gaming.

I've still got the vibrant colors of the zelda game demo swirling around my eyes everytime

I close them and if they can choose to make breath of the wild look that good then i see

zero reason why that cant be applied to other games.

We;ve already seen what sun and moon looks like without lines on the pokemon, and im

wondering why that would be something in the games in the first place unless they had plans

to port something over in that same stlye to the switch.

Its just a thought but an interesting one at that.

And finally, the fifth and final reason you should be hyped for the switch, is the possibility

of some remakes.

Ill have a video go up about this some other day but there are so many old games id love

to see recieve a fresh coat of paint so to speak.

The wii u lacked any real pokemon spin off games, and those that it did have were garbage.

All we got was some pikapark game, some rumble game and pokken.

Come to think of it the last good console spin off games we got were colosseum and xd

gale of darkness.

And that was how many years ago?

Im nto sure on the general consensus but i think those are some of the best spin off

games the pokemon company has ever dropped.

NFLer Allegedly Drugged & Robbed of $113K In Jewelry - Duration: 1:17.

What's going on guys, for Complex News, i'm Speedy Morman.

We're just a day away from the big game, but news still continues to break across the league.

This bit, is coming from Tennessee Titans offensive lineman, Quinton Spain.

According to a report published by the New York Daily News, Spain says a woman both drugged

him and robbed him of 113-thousand dollars worth of jewelry during pro bowl weekend.

Per the report, it all went down last week when Spain met a woman at an Orlando night

club.

The two then drove back to his hotel room when the woman reportedly made him a drink.

Spain says he remembers nothing else after that.

Upon waking up, he was missing a 60-thousand dollar gold chain, 40-thousand dollar Rolex

watch and another gold chain worth 13-thousand dollars.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, two other men were reportedly the victims of similar

crimes around the same time, though it is not yet known if the three alleged crimes

are at all connected.

Per the sentinel, authorities in Orlando are now searching for at least two suspects.

Details are scarce right now, but we'll continue updating you guys as the story is sure to

develop.

Star Wars Legends: Thrawn (Part 2 of 4) - Duration: 6:23.

After years of dutiful service to the empire, Thrawn was given command of the Star Destroyer

Vengeance, serving under the dark jedi Inquisitor Jerec.

Jerec survived order 66 but was later captured by the Empire and avoided death by accepting

the dark side.

Working together, Jerec and Thrawn destroyed the rebellion on Sulon, and executed the force

sensitive Morgan Katarn.

The following year, the Imperial superweapon, known as the Death Star, was unveiled to the

galaxy following the destruction of Alderaan, which was known to have deep ties to the Rebel

Alliance.

In response, the Rebels attacked and destroyed the death star.

Made possible by Luke Skywalker, the powerful force sensitive child of Darth Vader, raised

away from his father on tatooine under the supervision of Obi Wan Kenobi.

Master Kenobi looked out for the boy from afar, but when the time came, began his training

as a jedi.

Two weeks later, Thrawn and 9 other Imperial officers were called into a private meeting

with Emperor Palpatine, and apprised of the situation.

Although Thrawn suggested immediately attacking the rebel base, Palpatine chose to wait and

ordered them to investigate the identity of the pilot responsible for the destruction

of the death star.

Several months later, Thrawn, now at the rank of Senior Captain, was given command of the

task force admonitor and returned to the Unknown regions where a new warlord named Nuso Esva

was rising in power, conquering his own territory and raising a mighty fleet.

Thrawn originally attempted to ally himself with Esva but was rejected, leading to hostilities

between them.

The warlord however proved a tactical genius, equaling Thrawn and proving difficult to defeat.

*During Thrawn's meeting with Palpatine, he advised the emperor about security for

the construction site of the second death star.

With Palpatine unable to provide reinforcements, Thrawn turned to Darth Vader who granted his

request, in exchange for the Chiss captain's help in locating a rebel base.

Engaging with the Eastern fleet of Nuso Esva in the Poln system, the combined forces of

Thrawn and Vader proved victorious.

In the chaos of battle, a group of rebels on Poln minor managed to escape the area with

a number of stolen supplies.

Thrawn was able to use the list of items taken to create a profile of where they were going,

and was therefore able to locate the rebel base, fulfilling his promise to Lord Vader.

After the fighting, he was introduced to a group of 5 former troopers who deserted after

one of them killed an imperial officer.

They were now known as the hand of judgement and impressed Thrawn not only with the fighting

skills but also with the tolerance for other species.

And so rather than turning them over to the Empire, he hired them to train a new army

known as the 501st Stormtrooper legion that would include member of many different species

and would operate exclusively within the Empire of the Hand.

Thrawn's continued success eventually led to his promotion to Vice Admiral, then made

grand admiral in a private ceremony on Coruscant.

However his rank was largely kept secret with the Empire, as only 12 Grand Admirals were

allowed to exist, and all the position were filled.

Yet despite his favor with the Emperor, Thrawn did not follow orders blindly, even refusing

a direct order on several occasions, when he felt the mission was doomed for failure

and would waste resources.

During one such occasion, the Emperor was outraged and named him a traitor, then assigning

another officer to the mission.

However when the attack proved a failure, the Emperor gained a new respect for Thrawn's

judgement.

The Chiss Grand Admiral had risen so high he was even granted the title of Warlord,

but soon found that others within the Imperial Court did not appreciate his rapid rise to

power.

And so many began to plot against him, hoping to have him exiled from the core.

Palpatine and Thrawn used this an opportunity and staged the Grand Admiral's fall from

grace, wherein his allies were demoted and he was effectively exiled, sent to the unknown

region on a mapping mission.

This however was exactly what Thrawn wanted and allowed him to return to his work in the

Empire of the Hand.

With fresh imperial resources, the grand admiral was able to construct a number of Imperial

bases and settlement, using ruthless tactics to conquer new worlds.

Only once did Thrawn fail in defeating enemy forces and so ordered the planet's destruction.

Though many civilizations were destroyed, Thrawn made sure to allow their art work to

survive, having a deep personal fascination with the subject, using his studies of different

species art to learn about their culture so he might better understand how to defeat them

in battle.

Thrawn's forces even began to operate in Wild Space, but found it difficult to gain

and maintain territory, and so concentrated primarily on expanding within the unknown

regions.

After successfully quelling an attempted mutiny and his continued success in conquering new

worlds, Thrawn was recalled to Coruscant where he was inducted into the Order of the Canted

Circle.

Before returning to the unknown regions, Thrawn agreed to help Darth Vader on a mission against

the Black Sun criminal cartel.

He was then rewarded by the Dark Lord by being given command of the Noghri, a species who

were saved from total destruction by the Empire, and so offered their allegiance in return,

becoming private Imperial commandos used directly by Vader, Sidious and now Thrawn.

The Chiss Grand Admiral then worked with Vader again to uncover a rebel base on Derra IV,

which in turn led them to send probe droids throughout the western reaches, until finding

the main rebel stronghold on Hoth.

After the battle of hoth in 3 aby, Thrawn continued his work with vader, attacking a

rebel space station in the outer rim.

Although the Empire seemed to be making progress in their war against the rebellion, they were

forced to go the defensive for a time, when Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin staged a coup

d'etat, attempting to capture palpatine and take over the empire.

However Darth Vader and Thrawn quickly came to the Emperor's rescue, though Zaarin managed

to escape.

Thrawn was then assigned to capture the rogue imperial who was continuing his war against

the empire, sabotaging imperial manufacturing facilities.

Thrawn took the place of Zaarin and became an official grand admiral, eventually finding

the traitor and seeing him killed.

The Chiss Imperial then returned to the Unknown Regions where he learned of a rebel attack

on the second death star in the battle of Endor, learning of the deaths of Darth Vader

and Emperor Palpatine.

Hello there, welcome to airsoft review video

As an ICS captain today I am going to review brand new ICS BLE Pistol

BLE brand is very new and there is only one model so you might not hear it before.

ICS plan is going to produce pistol products in BLE brand, maybe this could be change but it's look like this at the moment.

The first product is BLACK LEOPARD EYE / BLE-ALPHA

normally we don't do unboxing but for this product we will do something special.

Box includes User guide, 1 mag, cleaning rod, grip adjustment adaptor and GBB pistol :)

The first impression for this pistol when I grap it I got a good comfortable hold.

It is easy to adjust he grip so If you are big handed like me you can use the bigger adaptor to have good control.

This is very important, because in pistols you need a space for your other hand thumb with this you will have

a comfortable holding and this will improve your gaming experience.

When you pull the slide of the pistol and it's lock your thumb position is perfect to press "Slide release lever"

It's very easy to disassemble for cleaning and hop-up adjustment pull and lock the slide and push the slide diassemble lever.

and glide the slide forward, away from the frame. You can easily adjust hop-up in here.

In this pistol ICS made the spring that fits on the mechanism. In other pistol it's not fits

so when you open the slide spring can go away and this is bad thing on field.

but in this pistol you will not have a problem like this.

with this you will have an comfortable and easy when hop-up adjustment. This is a little pros for this pistol. No more spring fall down in the field.

Nozzle is plastic, inner barrel is brass and easy to disassemble and again very easy to hop-up adjustment

The thing that I am trying to tell you is about spring fitting you can only understand this with experiance.

We play on forest mostly and that spring fall can be pain in A@€®S!!...

Pistol power is 1 Joulle, it's about 330 FPS on 22 C

It's about 300 FPS can be much clear

Right now we are in january and the weather is cold and the FPS is around 240 - 260 FPS

It's very hard to operate this pistol in this weather.

I will do some blank shots, pistol is empty

Blowback is very nice and strong

Magazine is big like G17 and other 9mm replica pistol magazines

and easily fit to all other pistol magazine pouches.

BB loading is also easy you don't need and extra adaptor to loading.

Just pull the magazine feeder spring down and you can see the hole

But be careful don't give any spaces then you fill your BB's

It's a very good pistol and I played some airsoft game with this pistol

but I can clearly tested it because of the cold weather temp. was about 7-8 C.

Indoor shooting with room temp. test fire I don't have any problem.

Right now ICS is in the pistol market

I am a little bit ICS fan, and love their product. Thats why I always recommend ICS brand.

It's good product, for the first model

It's not a licensed product so that's why I can't actually tell you which real fire arm model for this.

As always ICS made a original design for their BLE brand.

So I don't want to tell you the real model It's very similar to most of the guns.

We need pistols to make short distance combat (CQB)

and we need more, new models for pistols. So with ICS we have an brand new pistol model for airsoft.

There is no problem with operation of this pistol.

Safety is on the trigger and just press the button and the safety it on and off.

Pistol grip is plastic, slide is metal

When you grap it you feel good.

I tried to fit this pistol to my SAFARILAND g19 hoster and it's fits...

I will share with you an holster link under this video. You can easily use that holster for this pistol.

Because the product is very new and hard to find an specific holster for this pistol

I fit's well on universal hoster so you can use universal pistol holsters.

for magazine you can use all pistol magazine pouches.

again it's got brass inner barrel and grip adjustment is very easy.

Overall it's a nice pistol. ICS done a good job on their first attempt pistol production.

It's not game tested for me yet, but when the weather is good I will try and share with you some game play.

Worst Things About Working Abroad | Teaching in Japan - Duration: 7:42.

Why hello there!

Today I want to make a video about three of my least favourite things about living and

working abroad.

The reason I'm doing this is in the interest of balance, because I've already made a video

about three of my favourite things about living and working here, and I wanted to make sure

I was presenting a realistic and balanced view of my experience.

I'm also hoping that if you're on the fence about moving to a new country to study or

work that this might help you make up your mind, because obviously some of these problems

will affect some people more than others.

So, let's get started.

This first one is specifically for Assistant Language Teachers, and that is that you have

little to no influence on your workplace or your job.

So most assistant language teachers will apply for a position before they move to the country,

and so they'll get a job and then be moved to the country with a visa from that workplace.

So this means that you don't really get a say very much in where you go or what kind

of job you'll be doing, and beyond that, within the workplace itself often you won't have

very much of a say in how your work is done, because you are after all an assistant language

teacher.

So if you're someone who likes to have a lot of control over your job and your work environment,

maybe this isn't the job for you, because you definitely will not have terribly much

of a say in what's going on in your workplace.

Another thing that's connected to this is that there isn't very much room for movement

within companies either, so if you're hired as an assistant language teacher, you can

only be an assistant language teacher, and a lot of places will also restrict your work

outside of this one job.

So you wouldn't be allowed to say, have a job on the side.

It will be you're an assistant language teacher and nothing else, and there isn't really much

room for, um, I guess promotion is the right word, or movement within your company, because

you're hired for this one single job.

So if you're someone who's looking for upward momentum or kind of a place where you can

start a career, assistant language teacher is also not the position for you.

Um, I think it can sometimes feel like you've put your life on hold because of this, because

a lot of the time assistant language teacher, like you're working this job in order to have

a cultural experience or to learn a language or to get some job experience for the next

part of your life, so sometimes it can mean that for some people it feels like your life

has been kind of put in stasis.

I don't think it's that way for everyone, but it's something that I've experienced on

occasion, so it's definitely worth thinking about.

If you're the kind of person that likes to have the potential to work hard and move up

in your company, or if you're the kind of person who likes to have a lot of influence

in your workplace, then this is going to be a tough job for you.

Okay, so that's that one.

The next one I think is pretty obvious, and that is isolation and being an outcast.

So of course when you move away from your home country, you're going to be leaving behind

a really big support network of friends and family, and while you will definitely make

new friends and form new relationships in your new country, at least for the first few

years you just don't have that same time investment to make those relationships and bonds as strong

or as close as you might like them to be.

So if you're the kind of person who feels depressed very easily from being lonely or

isolated, then this is something to really consider.

I think it's really important to know yourself and know that you'll be able to handle it,

because that's definitely I think one of the toughest things about moving to a new country,

is starting from scratch with all of your relationships.

Um, the other thing that goes along with that, like I said, is being an outcast.

So despite your best efforts to assimilate into a new culture and learn the language

and all of that stuff, you will always be to, some degree, a foreigner, and that can

be a very isolating experience in itself.

You will always be looked at differently, treated a little differently, all of those

things, and that can feel very...it can be very alienating, because you're not used to

it, right?

In your home country you get treated like everyone else, but in a new country you get

treated like a foreigner, and you are a foreigner!

But sometimes you just wish that you could be treated like everyone else, and not looked

at, not recognised, and all of that stuff.

So I think those are really important things to consider, and like I said, if you're the

type of person who is easily affected by isolation, then perhaps it's not the right move for you.

And my last one is expectations versus reality.

I've mentioned in a few of my past videos that I think one of the most important things

that you can do when you're thinking of moving abroad is make sure that you have realistic

expectations, or better yet just go in with as much of a blank slate as you can, and that

is because the perception of living and working abroad can be very very different.

I feel like a lot of what we're shown and told is, like, of course are highlights, because

people will post on social media or like have this idealised view of a country and a culture,

and living there and that's not going to be how it actually is.

Some of the things that you will do are everyday, mundane things.

Sometimes it will be boring, sometimes it will be unpleasant, and that is all life,

right?

Like you're living in a new country, so you're going to experience both the highs and the

lows, and as much as like movies and TV shows and social media would have you believe that

living in a new country is all trips to amazing places, and taking photos, and like traveling

to incredible places, trying delicious foods, all of this stuff - which is can be - it is

also filling out paperwork, working overtime when you really don't want to, not understanding

something that someone has repeated to you three times.

Like, there are all these things that will happen that won't be thrilling and exciting

and everything you ever dreamed of - it'll just be everyday life, because you're living

there.

I don't know how to explain this any better, but really, I think one of the worst things

you can do if you're thinking of moving abroad, is set your expectations too high, because

the things is if your expectations are super high and you get disappointed, you will never

be happy with what you actually have.

Whereas if your expectations are reasonable or realistic, or kind of as non-existent as

you can make them, then whatever happens you're going to find interesting, and you're going

to take it as you go.

So I think that...yeah, the way that living abroad is portrayed in the media is very misleading,

and it's very important that you as a person recognise that, and maybe look into some more

realistic views before moving and make sure that it really is what you want to do, and

it's not just this idealised version that you have in your head.

So yeah, expectations versus reality - make sure that yours are on point.

Okay, so that is three of my least favourite things about living and working abroad.

I really hope that you don't take this video as super negative, because genuinely I would

not change my living abroad experience for the world, I think it's been incredible, and

I honestly don't know anyone who's regretted living and working abroad.

So if that helps, then there it is!

But I just wanted to make sure that I was being fair in my portrayal of living and working

in another country, because I don't think it's very realistic to only put out the good

things and never talk about the negatives.

I also hope that if you were looking to make a decision about whether you wanted to live

and work abroad, that this has helped you, and if you have any more questions please

Making a Healthy Breakfast with Greek Yogurt - Duration: 0:34.

Whip up a fruit and yogurt smoothie. Fruits contain lots of fiber, which when combined with protein rich low-fat Greek yogurt is a recipe for breakfast success. Basic smoothie recipes combine about 1 cup of plain low-fat Greek yogurt, 1 cup frozen fruit (banana and berries work best), and 1/2 cup liquid Get creative by throwing in some chia, hemp, or flax seeds. These power-foods are packed with tons of protein, fiber, and nutrients. You can make your smoothie the night before, freeze it overnight, and thaw/re-blend it in the morning.

Put together a parfait. If you like a bit more crunch for breakfast than typically found in a smoothie, try putting together a fruit and yogurt parfait. Layer together low-fat yogurt with some healthful toppings: crushed nuts, rolled oats, and fresh cut fruits for sweetness. Packaged granola can be laden with added sugars and oils, so it's best to avoid them. Instead, opt for making your own healthy granola. Peanut or another type of sun butter can also be a nice addition to yogurt parfaits.

Bake up a breakfast treat with yogurt. Nonfat plain yogurt can replace the sour cream or other fats used in many baked goods recipes. Yogurt will add moisture and tenderness to traditional coffee cake, carrot cake, and muffin recipes, for example, while cutting a lot of the fat and calories.

Hello and welcome to a brand new episode of Make Thrift Buy!

This is the show where you send in suggestions of clothes and accessories, from the impossibly

expensive highstreet, to the probably-made-in-a-sweatshop cheap fast fashion world -

and then I do my

best to recreate them.

Today's suggestion comes from Natalie Ward who wants me to make this witchy pentagram

top - oh wait, sorry, did I say pentagram top?

I meant, of course: Punk Rock Gothic Goth Star Straps Bust Design Sexy Top Long Sleeves

Crop Top Black White Gray, instead.

Yeah.

(Laughs)

Anyway I thought this would be a really good DIY for somebody who is new to the sewing

and the DIY world, because making this is pretty simple, it's also fast and it's VERY

effective.

So, let's begin!

First off I thrifted myself a plain black t-shirt.

This one was $3 from Vinnies.

I didn't get a top with long sleeves because it's currently summer where I live.

The other things I'll need are: some chalk to make temporary, washable marks on my shirt,

some black elastic, scissors, a lighter, and a needle and thread.

The thread should match the colour of the shirt and elastic – here, they're all

black.

And an important note about the elastic – this top will look the best if the width of the

elastic matches the width of the ribbing on the neckline on the t-shirt.

So first, I measured out some elastic, from the shoulder-seam of the t-shirt down to the

middle of the neckline, like this.

I added about half an inch to this length of elastic, and then, using some scissors,

I cut the first piece of elastic to this length.

Then I used this first piece of elastic to measure it up against the rest of the elastic,

in order to cut out TWO pieces that are the exact same length!

Next, I measured some more elastic, again from the shoulder seam of the t-shirt, but

this time across to this point HERE – on the opposite side of the neckline, about half-way

up.

I cut the elastic to this length, adding half an inch before cutting, and then I used this

piece to cut out another bit of elastic that's the exact same length as this one.

So I ended up with two short pieces and two slightly longer pieces of elastic, which I'm

going to from now on refer to as elastic A and elastic B.

Then I got a LIGHTER and I quickly ran it over the ends of the elastic to stop the ends

from fraying.

Annnnnd be careful not to set your elastic alight, like I did here.

If you do accidentally do that, blow it out quickly, because that's far more melted

than it needs to be!

When I say run it over really quickly, I mean – don't hold it there long enough for

it to catch alight!!!

Anyway, I repeated that to all of the elastic ends.

And now the elastic is almost ready to be attached, but first, we should make some measurements

on our t-shirt, so that we know where to attach it.

So I grabbed one of the elastic A pieces and I measured it out again from the shoulder

seam, down to the middle of the neckline at the front of the t-shirt, and then I made

a mark on the inside of the neckline, using some chalk, where the end of the elastic rests.

And I repeated this for both the elastic A pieces – they meet at the middle of the

neckline here.

Then I did the same for one of the elastic B pieces, measuring it out from the shoulder

seam, across my chest, down to the opposite side, and then I made a mark with some chalk,

on the inside of the neckline here.

And I repeated this for the other side.

Then I turned my shirt inside out and I laid it flat on my table, so that I can see all

the chalk marks on the inside of the neckline there.

So what I'm going to do next is to use a needle and a thread to attach the two elastic

A pieces from here to here, and the two elastic B pieces from here to here.

To do this, I placed one elastic piece A down onto my t-shirt making sure the ends of the

elastic are on the inside of the neckline.

Then I threaded a needle, doubled over the thread and I tied a knot in the end, and then

I started sewing the elastic pieces on!

And just a side note here, if you're new to sewing and having trouble with things like

threading a needle, there's lots of good tips on my beginners sewing resource page

on my website!

So, making sure that I started on the inside of the neckline, I brought my needle up and

down through both the piece of the elastic and the shirt's neckline about 4 to 5 times.

And then I brought it through to the inside again, tied a couple of knots in the thread -

And cut the excess thread off.

And now the elastic is to the neckline, and I repeated this for all the 4 elastic pieces!

And it doesn't really matter what order you sew them on in – I sewed on elastic

A first then B, but just make a note that because both elastic piece A and B are sewn

on at the shoulder seams, you'll be sewing through 2 pieces of elastic at one point,

Pastel Love Valentine's Nails | TakiyahLouise - Duration: 3:29.

Hi, I'm Takiyah Louise.

Thanks for clicking through to view my video on my Pastel Love Valentine's Nails.

This is the second of many designs that I'll be posting for Valentine's Day 2017 so be

on the lookout for the others.

Let's get started!

First, I take this Wet n Wild clear nail polish & apply it to my Uber Chic Beauty Mat because

I'll be making nail decals.

Then, I take Bundle Monster's Noir Black & apply it to this image on the Moyou London

Festive Collection - 20 stamping plate.

Next, I take my clear scraper & stamper, scrape & pick up the design then stamp in on the

mat.

I repeat these steps for a second image.

I then take the Pure Color 7 Watermarble Tool & China Glaze's Let's Chalk About It & begin

to fill in the tiny hearts on my decal.

I then use Essie's Taj-Ma-Haul, Essie's Lounge Lover, New York Color's Taxi Yellow

Creme, Deco Miami's #Slay, Deco Miami's Male Tears & Deco Miami's Petite Palm & fill

in the rest of my decals.

Next, I take Wet n Wild's clear nail polish & apply it to my decals to seal them.

Then, I apply my Unt Ready For Takeoff peel off base coat.

Next up, I apply 3 coats of Essie's Chillato.

I then apply the first layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat to help dry the polish.

I use the Tweezerman Cuticle Scissors to trim the nail decal to fit my nail.

I apply my next layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat & apply the decal to my nail making

sure to tap & press it into place.

I apply the final layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to seal the decal on my nail.

To finish, I clean up the excess decal with a brush dipped in acetone.

And that's it for now.

it's not hard to send mixed messages.

For instance, a man could tell you that you look beautiful, or that you're fun to be

around, and that doesn't necessarily mean he wants to have a relationship with you.

If he feels that you're misinterpreting his messages then he may try to combat it

by ignoring you.

Yes, I know this sound childish but believe me, it happens.

The truth is, guys don't ignore girls, especially when they like them.

Unlike us women, it's not as easy for a guy to play hard to get — unless of courses

he's just toying with your feelings, in which case you don't want to be with him

anyways.

The second thought men have when they ignore women is that they're bored because there's

no chase.

You're too obtainable.

If you've been watching my videos then you probably know by now that men love the thrill

of the chase.

That's why it's so important for women to let men chase them.

As the old saying goes, "guys want what they can't have," … at least not what

they can have easy.

When a man has to work to win you over, you become more valuable to him.

Women often make the mistake of chasing the man they're into.

The problem with that it makes him feel like it didn't take much work to get to you,

which in his mind, devalues your worth.

To avoid mistakenly chasing him, pull back everything you are throwing at him — the

communication, availability, the whole shebang, and be sure that you're not the one asking

him to hangout.

Now, the third reason men ignore women is when they annoy them.

Now this one should be a bit more obvious, I mean, you should be able to track back and

realize what you did to annoy him.

But then again, it's not always that easy.

You may completely overlook his reason for being annoyed.

Or maybe you don't even remember saying or doing whatever it was that got on his nerves.

This sounds absurd, but it happens all the time.

How many times have you seen, be it in real life or on T.V. a situation where the woman

is clearly annoyed by her man but he has no clue why.

To make matters worse she probably responds with "I'm fine" when he asks what's

wrong….

You know what I'm talking about!

When a man is annoyed with you his instinct reaction is to not be around you, hence why

it feels like he's ignoring you.

The thing is, he may not even see it as "ignoring" but rather that he needs some space to blow

off steam.

If you feel like this is the case then it's important that you give him some time to cool

off.

If after a couple days you still haven't heard from him then you may want to reach

out to him.

If he responds then ask him if something bothered him.

Once you know the things that make you man tick you'll be less likely to do them again

in the future.

Pastel Love Valentine's Nails | TakiyahLouise - Duration: 3:29.

Hi, I'm Takiyah Louise.

Thanks for clicking through to view my video on my Pastel Love Valentine's Nails.

This is the second of many designs that I'll be posting for Valentine's Day 2017 so be

on the lookout for the others.

Let's get started!

First, I take this Wet n Wild clear nail polish & apply it to my Uber Chic Beauty Mat because

I'll be making nail decals.

Then, I take Bundle Monster's Noir Black & apply it to this image on the Moyou London

Festive Collection - 20 stamping plate.

Next, I take my clear scraper & stamper, scrape & pick up the design then stamp in on the

mat.

I repeat these steps for a second image.

I then take the Pure Color 7 Watermarble Tool & China Glaze's Let's Chalk About It & begin

to fill in the tiny hearts on my decal.

I then use Essie's Taj-Ma-Haul, Essie's Lounge Lover, New York Color's Taxi Yellow

Creme, Deco Miami's #Slay, Deco Miami's Male Tears & Deco Miami's Petite Palm & fill

in the rest of my decals.

Next, I take Wet n Wild's clear nail polish & apply it to my decals to seal them.

Then, I apply my Unt Ready For Takeoff peel off base coat.

Next up, I apply 3 coats of Essie's Chillato.

I then apply the first layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top coat to help dry the polish.

I use the Tweezerman Cuticle Scissors to trim the nail decal to fit my nail.

I apply my next layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat & apply the decal to my nail making

sure to tap & press it into place.

I apply the final layer of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to seal the decal on my nail.

To finish, I clean up the excess decal with a brush dipped in acetone.

And that's it for now.

Show Up In ASL -- for for? - Duration: 2:01.

Since January 21, 2017, certain decisions and actions have taken place

which many of us don't agree with.

We want to show resistance by either showing up at protests, marching, sending a letter

to our representatives, calling someone to let them know that "I don't support, nor agree, with the decision

to appoint the person for that position," and so on.

Oftentimes, in DC/MD/VA, there are protests, marches, events that take place and even so, at the last minute —

we may find ourselves wanting to go but unsure what access looks like.

"Will there be ASL interpreters?"

"Will other deaf people go too?"

Sometimes, we'll ask on an event page if there will be ASL interpreters.

But we don't get a response. We understand a lot can happen at the last minute.

You may find yourself wanting to show solidarity but unsure about all these questions that may arise.

So, a group of us formed this page with the hopes to address those concerns.

This page is to allow transparent communication between

1) those who attend such events and are 'in-the-know' with other organizations or people and

2) those who are in the interpreting community, hearing and CDIs alike, to offer pro-bono services.

This page can allow anyone to comment on a post and say "Yes, I'm going — are you? Great, I'll meet you there at that time!"

We're hoping this approach will allow open communication with each other rather than

depending on an event organizer to respond.

They're usually overwhelmed with organizing media and speakers and so on.

We shouldn't let our concerns deter us from participating.

Again, we hope this page is a good solution!
