2016 Mercedes-Benz E 220d Kombi (W213) - test [PL] [review ENG sub] | Project Automotive - Duration: 7:50.

In April we had an opportunity to check out the new Mercedes-Benz E 220d

and now in December, we have also E 220d

but with a spacious trunk in the back.

I want to welcome you, to the 2016 E-Class Estate.

For the opportunity of the review, we would like to thank Mercedes-Benz Auto Studio

located at Rokicińska street 78 in Lodz.

When I've arrived at the dealership, I misstook this car for a C-Class Estate.

To be more specific, I approached the C-Class instead of this car.

From the outside they really look alike, and can be easily misstaken.

What is a flaw, but also a big positive.

I do really liked the exterior "lightness" of our second review car - The C180 T

Mercedes' designers took the same road while designing the looks of new E-Class Estate

so the car looks a bit smaller than really is.

However do not be fooled by that, there is 640 litres of space in the trunk

almost the same amount as Skoda Superb or VW Passat, leaders of this segment

and over a 100 more than it's main rival - Volvo V90

But the new Mercedes does have an ace up her sleeve, however not in our car.

Classical third row seats, situated towards the rear of the car.

It's not as hipsterish as those in the 89' 200E

and certainly for kids, not for adults.

At the back we have enough space for 3 grownups, but maybe without winter jackets

or for 2 children seats with ISOFIX mounts.

On the one hand, the interior is lighted nicely by the big panorama roof,

but on the other hand it's quite cosy and dark, thanks to the black headlining.

But it's the interior that shines the most.

Nicely profiled seats made from leather and DINAMICA microfiber,

and of course 2 humongous displays on the dashboard.

And my beloved Piano Black trim.

Both screens are as clean as they should be, and have great contrast.

There is not enough time in your lifespan to play with them properly

as well as you need a long practice until you master all the controls.

Everything is controlled via 3 touchpads.

one located on center console, and two on the steering wheel.

And I have to admit - normal buttons would do their job better.

Also, there is a little flaw with window control panel,

as you have to look for them somewhere down there.

Not the most comfortable placing.

Other things are on point, as it is a Mercedes. Nice trim quality, as well as couple of details

like the Ambiente lightning, or Air-Balance Package, which filters the incoming air

as well as atomize the vents with fragrance of your choice (additionaly paid refills).

Instead of blabing about that, let's focus on the modern technologies inside this car.

Right here will be our second video with Drive Pilot system explanation.

It's an adaptive cruise control (ACC) which works in a range of 0-210 km/h

combined with an active lane assist (ALA).

So basicaly it's an autopilot.

It does give a weird, frightening feeling at the beginning

but after you get used to it - it's a pleasure to use it.

And a real technological monument.

But we also encountered a small technical problem during our cruises on the motorway.

With the Agility Select suspension, we had this weird waving of the car on stronger crosswinds.

It's related to Crosswind Assist system, combined with car set up in Comfort.

You can feel that instead of compensating the wind - car steers lightly to the other direction.

With the air suspension however, as well as other drive modes - this problem does not occur.

What if we would like to steer the car in an old-fashioned way - by our hands?

Along with the AMG package, we get adaptive suspension with Agility Select system.

There are 5 settings - Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Individual.

It gives you the opportunity to cruise along on bumpy roads with great comfort

as well as hold the car tight during more ambitious approach to the throttle and steering.

Engine in this car also gives you a desire to operate it by your foot instead of the cruise control.

2 litres, 194 bhp and a ton of torque, 400 nm.

0-100 in just 7.3 second, despite it's kerb weight of over 1800 kg.

Still, it's a very economical diesel engine, partially due to it's 9G-Tronic gearbox.

Motorway and 140 km/h? 6 litres / 100 km

Extra-urban cycle can result in under 4 litres, but you do have to concentrate a lot

and urban is about 7 litres dead.

No chance to get the urban claimed consumption of 4.6 litres / 100 km

If we drive in an ambitious matter, we can double those figures

but it won't come easily.

Fuel tank fits 66 litres of diesel, which results in a range of over 1 000 km on a single refueling.

Pricing, the new E-Class Estate starts from 200 000 PLN for 200d model.

On the other end of scale we will find the E43 AMG 4Matic, with 400 bhp

As for today, if you take any diesel engine, you are getting the rear wheel drive.

After all those kilometres in the new esate from Mercedes-Benz

we can say that it is a complete car in it's segment.

However to achieve this, you have to check a big load of options while configuring your car.

For instance, widescreen cockpit will cost in total almost 20 000 PLN

AMG Exterior Package

AMG Interior Package

Panoramic Roof

Burmester Surround System

If we sum up all the optional extras, we get a hefty figure of...

313 000 PLN

For a 2 litres diesel powered car.

Some changes of the equipment could get us even higher

by changing the AMG Interior for beautiful Designo Interior

get multicontour seats with ventilation, soft-closing doors

and a couple of other options, which add up to a grand total of

over 400 000 PLN.

So you either get an individualy configurated, fully loaded car

or a small tenement house in the center of Lodz (2nd biggest city in Poland).

But with a tenement house you won't drive across the Western Europe

without even touching the brakes and applying a little effort into the steering (safety reasons)

and in the E-Class - you can.

these are the ingredients

1.5 kg potatoes

rosemary, chilli pepper,

black pepper, 100 ml olive oil,

50 grams salt,

3 cloves garlic

Clean the potatoes

here is how to clean potatoes

easy

make wedges

continue like this

work with cold water

put salt

add black pepper

also chili

add rosemary

that good fragrance!

add oil

mix

now

go into the pan

add the garlic cloves

excellent

Really good

Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes

well here we are ready!

What you need to know about Falls Festival - Duration: 3:20.

falls festival falls is a radical 4

day music festival held at four

locations in Australia for the new year

period. The Falls festival dates is in between

the 28th of December and the 8th of

January. Im covering the details of falls festival

you have a brief understanding of

the festival and at the end i'll

give you some important tips.

locations are Lorne Victoria, Marion bay,

tasmania, Byron Bay, new south wales

and fremantle western australia. most of

the time it's in rule locations except

for Fremantle, western australia, which is a new location on

the tour and it's placed in the city

the festivals been popping since 1995. started

as a one-day event at lorne with silver

chair, spider bait and a few other major

artists at the time. getting an

overwhelming amount of naughty ninties hippies

for the first one, they continued and has

been since a major Australian music

festival growing to 4 locations

gathering on average 20,000 people attending. The

festival is jam-packed full of live

music from artists around the world

there's big names in rock, hip-hop, indie,

alternative, dance and electric, you find

that most bands hip-hop artists and djs

and the triple j's top 100 artists. like

Childish Gambino, london grammar, flume, Remy

and group Love, just to name a few. the

people that go to fall are generally in

their mid-twenties laid-back aussies that

love a camp out.

stay until the last show and head back

to your place that's close by, or camp

overnight Falls provides an area for

camping and have tents you can rent. If
