U.S. President Donald Trump has once again reiterated his will to take care of the North
Korea problem.
Speaking at the White House on Thursday,... Trump added that China has been working very
hard and praised President Xi Jinping as a terrific person who will try hard in dealing
with the North.
In a tweet sent earlier on Thursday,...
President Trump said he had great confidence in China,... but again stressed that,... if
Beijing is unable to do so,... the U.S. and its allies will take care of the problem.
Trump's latest comments are just the latest in a stream of remarks calling for China to
exercise its influence to stop North Korea conducting further nuclear or missile tests.

Decision expected soon on Daewoo Shipbuilding bailout - Duration: 1:57.
Korea's National Pension Service is expected to decide soon whether to accept the latest
rescue plan for Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering.
If the plan is accepted, it will be the second bailout for Korea's once mighty shipbuilder.
Hwang Hojun reports.
A decision is expected soon on whether the troubled Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering
will get another lifeline.
At a board meeting Friday, the National Pension Service,... which holds 43 percent of Daewoo
Shipbuilding bonds that are maturing next month,... worth an estimated 170 million U.S.
dollars,... is expected to determine whether to accept a 5-point-8-billion U.S. dollar
rescue plan proposed by the Korea Development Bank and the Export-Import Bank of Korea late
last month.
Under the rescue package, Daewoo Shipbuilding would receive new loans worth 2-point-5 billion
dollars if lenders and bondholders agreed to swap 2-point-5 billion dollars of debt
for new shares in the shipbuilder.
All stakeholders must agree to the debt-for-equity swap, and bondholders must also give a three-year
grace period for repayment of the remaining debt.
If the plan is approved, it will be the second bailout for Daewoo,... currently the world's
second-largest shipbuilder by revenue.
The shipbuilder has been suffering from severe liquidity problems after a drop in global
demand for vessels and other industry-wide difficulties.
Creditors say it's inevitable that Daewoo will be put under a new form of court receivership,
called a prepackaged plan, unless the bondholders agree to the debt-for-equity swap plan.
If the shipbuilder is put under court receivership, observers expect the aftermath will be brutal,
as it could result in 50,000 jobs lost and trigger massive cancellations of ships currently
under construction.
Daewoo Shipbuilding's bondholders are expected to gather next week to discuss the debt-to-equity
swap and rollover plan.

Korea is planning to push for the dual naming of the body of water separating the Korean
peninsula and Japan.
At this month's International Hydrographic Organization meeting in Monaco, Korea will
propose that the body of water be referred to as both the East Sea and the Sea of Japan.
The global chart titled "Names and Limits of Oceans and Seas," also known as S-23, currently
uses the name "Sea of Japan."
Japan gave it that name in the 1920s when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule.
The IHO recommends that if multiple countries share a common area that they can't agree
on, their desired names should be accepted.

Scientists have found that one of Saturn's moons may be the best place to support life
beyond Earth.
The discovery was made by NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which is on a 13-year mission exploring Saturn
and its 62 known moons.

According to research published by the journal Science on Thursday, ice plumes shooting into
space from the ocean-bearing moon Enceladus contain hydrogen from hydrothermal vents.
Scientists believe that similar conditions, in which hot rocks meet ocean water, may have
been the cradle for the appearance of microbial life on Earth more than 4 billion years ago.
Many moons orbiting Saturn are known to contain underground oceans, but Enceladus is the only
one where scientists have found proof of an energy source for life.

And the fact that it could support -- potentially -- microbes with energy on the sea floor of
Enceladus...."
The researchers believe that there is a vast ocean, nearly twice as large as that on Earth,

They think that this ocean is able to maintain its liquid state under the protection of the
moon's icy shell, just like Earth's atmosphere, coupled with heat generated from the constant
gravitational squeezing the moon receives from Saturn.
But what scientists want to know is if the liquid interacts with the rocky surface of
the moon and if this process of chemical reactions is similar to that on Earth, in which hydrogen
is released as a byproduct and used by some microbes as an energy source for their metabolism.
The researchers played down the possibility that life may already be on the little moon,
but said the new findings make a compelling case for further study.

Minor progressive Justice Party's Sim Sang-jung said securing the safety of the people has

Korea's import and export prices both fell in March for the second consecutive month.
According to data released by the Bank of Korea on Friday, the country's import price
index fell two-point-one percent on-month in March, marked by a seven-point-four percent

Prices of outbound shipments fell one-point-four percent compared to the previous month.
The Bank of Korea said the fall in export prices was mainly due to the firmer local
currency, with the Korean won having gained almost one percent against the U.S. dollar

A lot of signs are pointing to North Korea conducting its sixth nuclear test in the next
24 to 36 hours.
Tensions are continuing to mount in the region, following repeated warnings from the Trump
administration of possible military action in response to Pyongyang's provocations.

According to 38 North, a U.S-based North Korea watchdog, Pyongyang has reportedly completed
preparations to conduct another nuclear test.
Satellite imagery from the country's Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, showed a hive of activity
that pointed to signs of an imminent test, according to the group's analysts.
Speculation has been growing that North Korea could conduct a ballistic missile launch or
its sixth nuclear test, to mark Saturday's 105th anniversary of the birth of its founding
leader Kim Il-sung.
The Voice of America reported on Thursday that North Korea had placed a nuclear device
inside a tunnel, which could be detonated on Saturday morning local time, quoting a
U.S. government official and other sources.
Many experts agree that the most likely U.S. response to another North Korean provocation
would involve tougher economic sanctions.
However, many also believe that possible military options were still difficult to rule out at
the current time.
Others have also pointed out that although the chances of a U.S. pre-emptive strike remains
low, even a small miscalculated response from Pyongyang could send events spiraling out
of control.
The Trump administration has been forceful in its warnings to North Korea, with the President's
latest tweet on Thursday saying North Korea is "a problem" that will be dealt with.
Trump has been flexing his military muscle by carrying out strikes in Syria and Afghanistan,
while deploying the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson to the Korean peninsula in a show of
force against Kim Jong-un.

The US military has said that they have dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb so far for the
first time.
The bomb named GBU-43 is known as "Mother of All Bombings".
It was first tested in 2003, but it has never been used before.
The US Defense Ministry Pentagon has said that one of its aircraft has dropped this
bomb in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
Pentagon says that its aim was to hide the so-called Islamic State extremists.
The attack happened last week after the death of American soldiers during the fight with
the IS in Afghanistan.
GBU-43 / B Messaging Ordinance Air Blast (MOAB) is known as "Mother of All Bombs".
The Pentagon told that it was dropped by an airplane in the evening in the evening according
to local time in Achin area of Nangarhar province on Thursday.
Pentagon said that the bomb was dropped on the tunnel building of the Islamic State group
in Afghanistan.
The bomb was 9800 kg and its length was more than 30 feet.
