Did you know that Christians have been greeting each other that way

for a very long time?

The earliest Christians understood the importance and magnitude of this day

and so they always greeted each other in that way.

Do you understand what they understood?

Let me share with you one verse to help you understand the magnitude of Easter day.

It's 1 Corinthians 15 verse 17.

If Jesus were dead

and still lying in the tomb,

this would be a gigantic waste of time.

Watching this video would be a waste.

'Your Time of Grace' would be a waste.

Reading your Bible, going to church, your entire Christian life

would be a total, complete, utter waste of time.

You see, if Jesus were still dead,

your sins would not be paid for.

We would be left to wonder if everything Jesus did,

if his death even mattered or it even worked.

We would have nothing to look forward to.

If Jesus were still dead, we would be stuck in our sins,

doomed to our own death and we would have no hope for the future.

But you know what?

You're not wasting your time

because Jesus lives.

The disciples saw him multiple times.

Peter saw him personally.

Mary Magdalene saw him.

The women saw him.

The disciples on the road to Emmaus saw him.

In the same chapter of 1 Corinthians it says more than 500 people

saw Jesus alive.

Christ is risen,

which means

your sin has been paid for.

Death and the devil have been defeated.

Heaven is yours.

The victory belongs to us

and it's all because Christ is risen.

He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Praise the Lord.

Were North Korea's new 'long-range ICBM missiles' FAKE?

But were North Korea's new "intercontinental ballistic missiles" fake?

The press went into overdrive after the Hermit Kingdom showed off an unfamiliar and suspiciously

long set of rockets in the Day of the Sun military parade yesterday.

Headlines across the planet screamed that Crazy Kim had given the world its first glimpse

of his new long-range missile.

But the dumpy dictator may have been fooling us all along.

Media across the world reported that so-called ICBMs featured in the military display in

North Korea's capital Pyongyang yesterday.

One over-enthusiastic British news website even reported – with absolutely no evidence

– that Kim had been testing his new toy with a failed missile launch this morning.

US Pacific Command later said with "high degree of confidence" the test-fired rocket

wasn't an ICBM.

All of the news reports from across the world came from one single source.

South Korean news agency Yonhap quoted an unnamed official as saying the military "presumed"

the unidentified rocket was a new ICBM.

The evidence?

It "seemed longer".

Yonhap's article was reported by Reuters – and that was reproduced by media from

every country.

Most newspapers had no idea which of the many missiles in the parade Yonhap's source was

talking about, so different reports featured different images of the "new ICBM".

But was there any truth behind it?

It is true that four 16-wheel vehicles appeared in the parade carrying unidentified, and very

long, missile-shaped objects.

The unnamed official told Yonhap: "It seems longer than the existing KN-08 or KN-14 ICBMs".

Kim Dong-yup, a professor at the Institute for Far East Studies of Kyungnam University,

built on this, saying it appeared to be an upgrade of the Pukguksong ballistic missile

series.

He said: "Chances seem high that it's an ICBM with a cold launch system using solid fuel."

The vehicles appeared to be "transporter erector launchers", which can drive missiles

around and erect them, ready for launch.

But the objects visible on the trucks were missile casings – and there is no evidence

there was anything inside.

In fact, North Korea is yet to successfully test fire an intercontinental ballistic missile.

The trigger-happy regime has test fired a large number of missiles over the past year

– with mixed success.

But the biggest of these was the medium-range Pukguksong-2 – also known as KN-15 – tested

earlier this year.

That flew about 310 miles but is believed to be capable of between 750 miles and 1,900

miles.

A true ICBM has a minimum range of 3,400 miles.

North Korea launched the satellite Kwangmyŏngsŏng-4 using a Taepodong-2 rocket in February last

year.

Space rockets are very similar to missiles and South Korea, the US and Japan said the

satellite launch was really a covert ballistic missile test.

But the US Department of Defence said back in 2012 it doesn't believe the Taepodong-2

rocket used is a missile and the US Missile Defence Agency said the Kwangmyŏngsŏng-4

launch was not an ICBM test.

The North tested a new type of "high thrust" rocket engine in March.

The engine will help the country achieve world-class "satellite" launch capability, state news

agency KCNA said.

But this may have been an ICBM engine.

However, Kim overworked rocket scientists are yet to test fire the ICBM – so the idea

that he has built four of them and paraded them on top of launch vehicles may be jumping

the gun.

And North Korea – where nothing is quite as it seems – has form for faking military

advances.

The world reacted with shock when North Korea displayed six supposed KN-08 ICBMs to mark

the 100th anniversary of founder Kim Il-sung's birth in 2012.

But they were later exposed as simple mock-ups.

He tried to pull the same trick the following year.

In October 2015, Kim displayed what was supposedly a new ICBM – nicknamed KN-14 – to mark

the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Workers Party.

But those are also yet to fly.

The world was waiting with bated breath for Kim to celebrate the 105th anniversary of

his granddad's birth with a new nuclear weapon or ballistic missile test yesterday.

Donald Trump threatened to "take care" of Kim and even sent a fleet or warships – including

nuclear-powered aircraft carrier the USS Carl Vinson – to the Korean peninsula.

A tense stand-off started – with Crazy Kim threatening to annihilate the US with "all-out

nuclear war".

The Dear Leader needs to appear a genuine threat to the West.

So it was very convenient that he chose this moment to unveil a ballistic missile capable

of reaching mainland America.

He may have been bluffing all along.

And we may have all fallen for it.
