Our Houzz: Bright, Breezy Living Room Caps a Hectic Renovation - Duration: 12:08.

I absolutely love Chicago.

It's a big city, but it feels like a town.

And when Nick and I moved to Chicago 10 years ago,

we wanted to be around all the restaurants,

and the bars, and basically, like,

the crazy, fun energy of living in a city.

We walk everywhere, we take the train,

we're city people.

I met Rachel in college,

we went to University of Wisconsin together.

- [Rachel] Nick had a crush on me

and he followed me around for four years.

- [Nick] Didn't end up started dating 'til senior year.

- And we've been together ever since.

- Almost five years ago now, we had our first child, Lilia.

It was amazing.

- She's just like her mom, she talks all the time,

she wants to do everything.

And then we have Keaton who is, like,

came out 10 pounds and has burst to be 30 pounds.

- Yeah, Keaton comes from good stock.

He's a backbreaker, you know,

we have to carry him around in the car seat.

- [Rachel] It was getting tough to maneuver

around the city with two children.

- [Nick] Lugging up two and a half

flights of stairs, two kids.

- My giant baby and those steps got really, really tough.

Honestly, it's a workout.

I have a broken back and I have, like, really strong arms.

Even though we love Chicago,

we knew that it was time to move to the suburbs

where we could kind of build our life.

It's time to give our kids a place

that they could truly call home.

- [Nick] What we wanted to do was create that sort of

long lasting home-feel for our family.

We both were raised in homes our whole childhood.

- My parents moved into my house

when I was in first grade and are still there.

That's my home, that's my life, that's where my heart is.

- [Nick] So we wanted to give that to our children.

- [Rachel] And Oak Park is the perfect place to call home.

When we saw this house, it just,

we knew it, it felt right, it had the layout

that made sense, it's on a beautiful street,

there's everything that we always wanted

for our family here.

The house itself needed work.

- It was great bones, great structure,

but it needed a new roof, it needed a new kitchen,

the cabinets were falling off.

- So we bought this house

and then we went to town on this house.

We demoed it to the studs.

- One of the first resources we used was Houzz.

- We signed onto Houzz and started an ideabook.

And we just started pulling ideas.

- We used it for inspiration, also for resources

and to find contractors.

- I probably looked at 4,000 kitchens on Houzz.

We took, you know, countertops for one look,

and a backsplash from another,

and a cabinet color from another

and we kind of put it together and made it our own.

The master bathroom is something we weren't sure

if we were going to be able to pull off.

It wasn't an en suite bathroom

and I really thought that was important.

It was a hard space to figure out,

so I decided to try posting it to the Houzz Dilemmas.

Should I walk through my closet to get into my bathroom?

And designers weighed in,

regular people just like me weighed in,

contractors weighed in,

once everybody weighed in on my design dilemma,

I found the tub and tub filler on Houzz and we purchased it.

All of the dimensions are on there,

shipped that thing out there, put that thing in it,

it looks awesome.

This process was tough,

Nick was out here every hour he could working on this house

and I was the cleanup crew.

We refinished all the floors in the house,

basically rerouted the upstairs.

Oh yeah, and we tore down an insane amount of wallpaper.

I mean, blood, sweat, and tears have gone into this house

and somehow the living room, the most important room to me,

has been neglected.

Our living room, where we spend all of our time

is literally in shambles.

Nothing works in there.

On top of that, our living room

is currently serving as my office.

It's really important to me that our living room

isn't just a comfortable place,

but that it's a nice space.

It's where I grew up, it's the part of my parents' house

that I remember the most.

Nick and I are not designers,

we needed an expert that could help us out.

You need someone that makes it not just function,

but also makes it look great.

That's how we found Laura.

- I love working with young couples, young families.

They're really excited about it, they're really engaged.

- The great thing about Houzz is

we were able to see Laura's past,

where she's worked before.

- We were able to see all of her projects online,

and I'm hoping that she makes my living room awesome.

- I got the photos that you shared with your ideabook.

- [Nick] Okay, good.

- Nick and Rachel wanted to create

a living room that was gonna be really cool,

and really cozy and totally practical for their family.

I assume that these are all Nick and Rachel approved?

- Yeah, yeah, we look at them together,

before I banished her from the process, so.

- Perfect.

- One thing I'm really excited about this project is,

I'm kinda taking the reins on it.

- This has been the craziest year of my life.

We had a baby, we found a house,

bought the house, demoed the house,

renovated the house and moved in to the house.

In under a year.

Honestly, I think I'm pretty burned out.

- [Laura] She's super busy, they have two young children.

I think they just kinda ran out of steam,

when they got to the living room.

- The living room is so important to me.

We've made so many decisions.

I don't wanna make a bad decision,

but I'm too tired to make any decisions.

I actually can't do this anymore.

You're so sweet.

- Nick and I decided to take this on

as a surprise for Rachel.

- We picked a designer together,

but that's kinda where Rachel's involvement ends.

Which is gonna be hard for her, I know her.

- So this first photo, things that I took away from it

that I think maybe you liked were,

some of the symmetry aspects.

They had picked a lot of pictures on Houzz,

that were kind of inspiration for look

and feel of the room.

So we kind of started there.

- Nick is really good at design

and I feel like him and Laura really hit it off.

- As long as it fits in the space

and you're on board and I'm totally on board.

- Yes.

- I'm a little scared of what he might come up with.

- This is something Rachel would never expect,

this is gonna be fun.

- He tends to like things large,

and he likes plants.

And he likes to hang things very high.

So those are things I told Laura,

please do not let those three things happen.

- So what we're starting with,

they definitely wanted to keep their

existing swivel chairs, which are great.

I think they're a fun color, they're a fun pattern.

They have a great tufting.

We're also looking to just kinda create

a nice work space for Rachel.

She works from home a lot, she's very busy

and we wanna create a space that's really, truly hers.

Another that they have for the room is

to have some cozy sectional seating.

So Nick an I have been looking at,

several different options.

I thinks something like this

would be perfect for your space.

I love the upholstery.

- Mm-hmm

- We've got kind of a medium gray tone,

which is great for kids and then,

this is kind of a bonus.

You have a sleeper component.

- Nice.

- [Laura] So what do you think?

- [Nick] I like it.

- [Laura] I'm just gonna add that to our cart as well.

- I need a couch that I love and I will tell you why.

I hate this couch.

It is stained.

It is gross.

- It's a college and I've been hanging on to it too long.

It's kinda like loosing your first car, kinda thing.

- I know it sounds crazy but, I need a great couch.

- The style of the home you know,

this is a 100 year old home,

and it's very Arts and Crafts style.

So we definitely took that in to account

when selecting pieces.

This wall is actually a really great opportunity,

for a focal point between the windows.

- [Nick] Okay.

- [Laura] I found this console table.

- [Nick] Oh yeah, I love that.

The fir wood, that's great.

- See we've got a mirror, some vases.

- [Nick] Right, right, right.

- [Laura] Maybe a tray. - Nice.

- [Laura] Maybe we put your firewood under here.

So what do you think?

- I love it.

- [Laura] Perfect, it's on the way.

- One of the things I'm really excited about

this project is the fireplace.

It's the first thing you see when you walk in the door.

It's always been something I wanted to upgrade.

- [Laura] They kind of had an old red brick hearth

and fireplace before.

- Looking at Houzz, we found,

this amazing cast stone fireplace surround.

- [Laura] Do you think Rachel will like it?

- [Nick] I do.

- Great, I'm just gonna add it to the cart.

- [Nick] Just like that,

- [Laura] Yeah. - Boom, done.

- Yes, I think this is gonna kinda modernize the room

and really represent their unique tastes.

- And, it is install time.

Obviously the fireplace is kind of

a bigger slightly messier component.

So we're gonna get that in first.

- Okay, that's it.

- The first thing to go in was the fireplace

and let me tell you, it is amazing.

And then just seeing all the other furniture,

the bigger pieces, the accessories coming in.

- Oh, the ottoman.

- Oh the other footstool. - Perfect

- [Nick] That's really cool.

- The great thing about the Houzz app

is that you can source almost anything,

and that includes window treatments.

So we installed a really beautiful,

kinda flat Roman in a linen color.

One of the most exciting pieces,

for Rachel to see will be the rug.

This rug is so beautiful.

I think it's really gonna liven up the space

and it's also allowed us to pull colors from it.

I found this series.

There's three different prints.

We have a lot of nice color in here.

Rachel's workspace is incredible.

We reused her desk but just kinda jazzed it up,

with a couple of new accessories.

For the sectional we chose a kind of mid range gray tone.

Something that will give the family

just a little bit of protection against,

sticky fingers and you know, spilled drinks.

Rachel and Nick also like to entertain friends

so we wanted to make sure they had ample seating.

So we have a little butterfly stool

and a couple of ottomans,

that will give them a lot of variety.

- Thanks so much, we couldn't have done it without you.

- My pleasure.

- So what do we doing, high five or fist pump?

- Fist pump.

- Fist pump. - Yeah.

- Blow it up.

- Alright, are you guys getting excited?

- I really hope that the family feels like

the design is a true reflection of

how they're going to live in this space.

But I also want it to feel a little bit

more special and unique,

and not what their neighbors and their friends have.

We've just created a really, really cozy space

that I think the family's going to love for years to come.

- I missed you guys.

- [Michelle] I've miss you.

- [Nick] Alright, close your eyes.

Keep them closed, we're almost there.

Alright, welcome to your new living room.

- This does not even look like our house,

Oh wow,

- What do you think?

- I mean honestly, I don't feel like I'm in our house.

- No, I know.

It is really amazing isn't it.

- [Rachel] You killed it with the couch.

- [Nick] Yeah.

- I mean it's perfect.

- [Nick] You like it?

- It's like it was meant to be in this space.

- [Nick] Yep.

- I feel like Nick and Laura nailed it.

I mean, I feel like it's comfortable.

I feel like it's stylish.

I feel like it's the kind of place

we can have friends over.

Our kids can live in there

and I'm not going to worry about them

touching everything in there.

It feels like a true place we can live and

that's exactly what I was hoping for.

- [Nick] Look at, I mean feel this

- Oh.

- [Nick] Laura picked all this stuff out for us.

- I love that Laura was able to use

some of my favorite pieces and not just,

get rid of everything.

I love those chairs, they're comfortable,

they're good looking.

There was no reason to get rid of them.

And she was able to take them

and pull them in to the room and make them

look like they belong perfectly with her design.

Lilia, do you think daddy did a good job?

- I think he did,

a very great job. - Very great job.

- [Nick] Yeah, thank you

- The room that we're gonna spend

all of our time in is finally finished.

We are comfortable and happy here

and it just feel like the place that

I dreamt it would be.

- We were really to find Laura on Houzz.

I think she really understood what we were going for.

I think one of the things I was most amazed with Laura,

was her ability to find these accessories,

that really pulled the space together.

- And the fireplace looks amazing.

It looks like a much nicer house that what we have.

I mean, that fireplace really really

classes up the joint.

- [Rachel] The living room is where the fun stuff happens.

It's a place were the family's gonna watch TV,

where friends are gonna come over and hang out.

Where our kids are gonna play.

- We picked a house that we saw ourselves

living in for a long time.

It wasn't about an investment, it wasn't a quick thing.

It was were we wanted to see our children

raised and grown up.

Does it feel good?

- For my husband to just say, you know what,

Laura and I got this.

You sit back, let us do it.

It's making me cry because now we just get to live here.

We get to grow our family here and just enjoy it

and it's the best feeling ever.

Dreamworld reputation 'irretrievable' after inquiry evidence: analysts - Duration: 8:25.

Dreamworld reputation 'irretrievable' after inquiry evidence: analysts

Evidence on day one of the coronial inquiry into the Dreamworld tragedy, where four people were killed on a family-friendly ride at the theme park on Queenslands Gold Coast, could damage the theme parks reputation for good, media and branding analysts say.

A coronial inquest resumes on the Gold Coast today, investigating the deaths of Kate Goodchild, her brother Luke Dorsett, his partner Roozi Araghi and Cindy Low.

The group perished on the Thunder River Rapids ride at Dreamworld in October 2016 when their raft collided with a stranded vessel after a large water pump feeding the ride failed.

Yesterday, the inquiry heard that not one single event caused the incident, rather, a series of operator procedures and design faults, which all occurred within a short period of time.

The inquest heard one of four people killed on the ride would not have fallen to his death had his Velcro seatbelt not come apart.

Barrister for Kate Goodchild and Luke Dorsett, Steven Whybrow, questioned crash investigator Senior Constable Steven Cornish about the Velcro seatbelts used to secure guests on the six-person raft.

[Luke Dorsett] was on the up side of the raft … and it was only after several violent shakes of the raft that his Velcro strap came apart and he fell onto the conveyor? Mr Whybrow asked.

Yes, Senior Constable Cornish replied.

If his restraint had been one of which was able to hold him, what would have been the outcome for him?.

He would not have fallen in.

The first day of the inquest also heard how a memo was sent to Dreamworld staff less than a week before the incident, discouraging operators from pressing an emergency stop button.

It could have shut down the ride almost instantly.

It also heard how on the day of the tragedy, the ride had broken down twice before and that operators relied on a simple scumline rather than a ruler or device to tell the water level was no longer functional.

Dreamworlds reputation irretrievable: analysts.

Communications expert Alex Smith said the barrage of negativity from the witness box so early in the inquest meant the companys reputation was irretrievable.

You cant manage reputation in the face of an avalanche of negatives, Mr Smith said.

The reality of reputation management today is that no amount of spin can put a wrecked reputation back together.

Brand strategist Allan Bonsall from Brand Genetics agreed, if that kind of evidence was coming out so early there was very little chance of rebuilding the brand.

They never really got the numbers back after the incident, he said.

You would almost believe, the only way to get out of the bind they are in, is by selling and having a complete new group of people come in and make all the assurances and promises and then diligently deliver on them.

The biggest problem with brand is trust … and the majority of it is to do with emotions.

They had built that trust up and usually a company has to do some pretty dumb things to lose that trust.

But Dreamworld is now in a position where its trust level is down to rock bottom and I do not see how they can recover from that.

Union hopes findings will address Dreamworlds culture of secrecy.

The Australian Workers Union (AWU), which had been critical of Dreamworlds culture of secrecy said it hoped the findings would address the behaviours of Dreamworld management and the Regulator.

AWU acting branch secretary Steve Baker said union members had always been concerned about Dreamworlds approach to safety matters.

The AWU has taken a proactive role in pursuing these concerns about safety with Dreamworld management, Steve Baker said.

A major concern has been a culture of secrecy in the behaviour of Dreamworld.

Whenever the union sought documentation from Dreamworld regarding safety issues, these requests were refused.

This meant the union had to pursue this information through other means including Right to Information processes.

The day after the deaths, Dreamworld owner Ardent Leisure Groups share price plummeted 22 per cent.

But yesterday the ASX Listed firm jumped one cent higher (or 0.

51 per cent) at $1.

98, giving the company a market capitalisation of $933.

20 million at the end of trade.

Brand strategist Allan Bonsall said that share market was a weird beast.

It is not what I would be concentrating on, Mr Bonsall said.

I would be looking at it from a public perception and that is where the lessons will be learnt.

The accident led to industrial manslaughter laws being introduced into State Parliament, but they were not retrospective.

Staff from Dreamworld are expected to give evidence at the inquiry today.

(Eng Sub - Bromance) To Each His Own 《ちょっと今から仕事やめてくる》 - Duration: 1:53:39.

English subtitles by 橙橙 Orange Biscuit (Cheng Cheng) @ YouTube/Dailymotion.

Translated from the Chinese subtitles by 猪猪日剧字幕组.

When I die, will I become that star?

You want to become a star?

Yes, because my family's all there.

Is that so?

I want to become a beautiful star.

If you want to become a star,

then you have to live properly first.

What does it mean "to live"?

To live is to have hope.

Hope?

Without hope, people cannot live on.

What if hope disappears?

Hope will never disappear.

It just plays hide-and-seek with you sometimes.

Is this place Heaven?

This place is...

To Each His Own

Monday morning is full of despair;

Tuesday morning and my mind's all blank.

Wednesday morning is the hardest to get through;

Thursday morning is a little easier.

Friday morning is a little happier.

Isn't this talking about me?

Saturday morning is the happiest;

Sunday morning is suddenly melancholy.

But life will not be so bad.

How absurd.

- Good morning. - Good morning.

Good morning.

Morning exercises will start now!

Lift your arms forwards and then up above your heads.

Stretching exercises, begin!

One, two, three, four,

five, six, seven, eight!

Arm and leg exercises!

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight!

For someone like me who repeatedly had the door slammed into my face while job-searching,

when this company agreed to hire me,

I was very happy.

Your voices' are too soft!

Five, six, seven, eight!

One, two, three four...

I had hopes and dreams,

and was full of motivation.

Three! Fined ¥1000 if I'm 10 minutes late!

Three! Fined ¥1000 if I'm 10 minutes late!

Four! I don't need paid time off!

Because my body will become lazy!

Because my body will become lazy!

With the highest number of closed deals, Igarashi!

Here!

17 deals.

- Here. - Thank you.

Clap!

- I'll take my leave. - Have a good day.

For a salesman, performance is everything.

I thought that I had already prepared myself for this, but reality was even more brutal than what I imagined.

Aoyama!

Here!

Daito Advertising came to complain about you.

You got the logo's font wrong.

But I was following Saito-san's instructions...

You are the person responsible right now!

Is it not part of your duties to double-check?

- Yes. - If you want your pay to increase,

- get the quotas done and let me take a look at it, you good-for-nothing! - Yes,sir!

I say,

I'm only giving you this job because you can't ever get a contract signed.

This is out of the goodness of my heart, no?

But you - no passion at all and just going through the motions.

Are you looking down on me?

- I never intended to... - Go do your work!

I have no time to listen to your rubbish. I already told them it would be done within 30 minutes.

Don't you dare be late!

Yes, sir!

I want to contribute to the company too.

But lately, once I get reprimanded by Mr Yamakami

my mind becomes all blank.

To the crossroads at Nakano Shinbashi.

Of course the taxi fares come out of my own pocket.

- Igarashi. - Yes?

You got your bonus this morning.

Are you going to use it on a date tonight?

You did a good job closing 17 deals.

Next month you should close 20, alright?

Yes, sir.

- You've worked hard. - Thank you for your hard work!

You've worked hard.

- By the way, Aoyama. - Yes?

The losses from the project just now will be deducted from your salary.

- Eh? - You've worked hard.

And summarise this month's sales amount. I need it for our meeting in the morning.

Yes, sir.

- Do your best. - Yes, sir.

- You've worked hard. - Thank you for your hard work.

For 3 months in a row, my overtime had surpassed 150 hours.

But I did not get any overtime pay.

Only the basic pay.

- What is it? - Takashi! You've finally picked up.

What is it? I'm working right now.

Until so late?

If there's anything, say it quick.

I was thinking of whether there was anything you wanted to eat. I'll send it over to you.

Haven't I told you? I don't want anything.

But it doesn't matter if you have too much food.

I've already said I don't want it. You're bothering me.

Really?

Then when's the next time you are coming back?

Why are you suddenly bringing this up? I can't say for sure right now.

I want to eat delicious cakes from Tokyo.

What are saying? I'm busy right now. I'm hanging up.

Lately whenever I call him, he is always irritated.

His work must be tough.

Just let him vent.

Since young, he would only act spoiled with you.

But it has been more than a year and a half since he last came back.

He's busy.

He just has to work hard. He's fine.

That's true.

You're right.

[Department head Yamakami]

Why do people work?

If it's so that we can live,

does this count as my being alive?

The train is arriving at Platform 2.

Please stay within the yellow line for your safety.

My body feels like it has been filled with lead.

I want to rest.

I want to sleep.

I'm so tired.

I don't care if I don't see the sun tomorrow anymore.

Long time no see! It's me, Yamamoto.

We haven't seen each other since elementary school.

- I'm sorry, I... - This is really nostalgic!

After transferring schools midway, I never had contact with you guys anymore.

- I'm so happy! Right? - Yes...

- Let's go have a drink. - I don't...

- You eat sashimi? - I can eat it.

Great! Then it's settled. What a great coincidence.

I'm really grateful for God's blessing.

What are you doing? Take a seat.

- I'm going to the washroom. - The washroom's over there.

- Do you drink beer? - Yes.

- Two draft beers. - Yes.

- Two draft beers. - Two draft beers!

It's me, Aoyama.

Oh, Takashi? It's been a while. What is it?

Um that is, do you still remember Yamamoto?

- Yamamoto? - Yes.

Seems like he was in the same class as us during elementary school.

- Which year? - He said he transferred midway.

Yamamoto Kenichii? During 3rd year of elementary school.

Ah, there was this person!

That's right, the one who was always well-behaved.

What were you doing? The beer's almost gone.

Sorry. It was crowded at the washroom.

Is that so? Come, let's toast our reunion!

Boss, one sashimi platter, whale bacon and edamame.

- And some fried chicken as well. - Yes.

- Okay? - Yes.

How did you recognise me?

- You still look the same as before. - Really?

Of course you wouldn't realise it.

But somehow I think you've changed a little.

Maybe it's because I started using the Osaka dialect.

Going to Osaka really turned you into an interesting person.

I say, Aoyama, that's not nice to hear.

You've got it all wrong if you think that everyone in Osaka is a funny guy.

Do you know how frustrating and hurtful this kind of thinking is?

Really? I'm sorry.

This, how am I supposed to pull off a joke without a participant?

Making me fire all my jokes at you, who can keep it up? Seriously.

- Boss, some sardine sashimi. - Yes.

I say, do you still remember things from elementary school?

- You were the one who transferred in Year 4 right? - Yes.

- Sorry for the wait. - Thank you.

Aoyama, what did you dream of becoming when you were young?

- A soccer player I suppose? - Really? I didn't know.

Look, do you still remember Mura-sensei? Our homeroom teacher during Year 3.

The one who was always in a black sweatshirt.

- This brings back memories! - It does.

- Was it Murata?\- Murakami.

That's right, Murakami!

- Is your company nearby? - Yes. Opposite the train station.

Here.

Doing sales?

- Ah that, tell me your phone num... - Tell me your phone number.

What are you smiling about?

- Nothing. - It's not nothing!

You're having fun all by yourself and not letting me in on it, I'm so lonely!

Before we meet next time, I'll be brushing up on my skills.

Tell me your number.

You say it.

080...

Aoyama-kun! Aoyama-kun!

Aoyama-kun!

What's going on?

Aoyama, you're up!

You're not working today right? Let's go play!

Get dressed, quick!

Say, how did you know where my house was?

You told me. Last time at the bar.

I did? I don't remember it at all.

You probably drank too much.

Not to that extent! Speaking of,

why did you climb up a tree to peek inside?

Just in case. It would be bad if I got the wrong room.

What are you so shy about?

Nostalgic, isn't it?

We played this all the time during elementary school.

- What are you doing? - It's fine. Get in.

Wait, wait!

Stop it, it's dangerous!

- I've never played this before! - You have, you definitely have!

Yamamoto, this is dangerous!

This guy,

is not like that mature, well-behaved Yamamoto from last time at all!

Did I get myself involved with a crazy stalker who goes after men?

- This feels great! - That's enough. Quick, stop it!

My bad, it can't be stopped!

Are you kidding me?

That hurts!

That was really dangerous.

Stop that nonsense. What if we had really died?

What are you laughing about?

Look at the sky,

Aoyama.

It has been a long time since I last saw the sky.

I was surprised to find myself relieved that I didn't die.

Just like what Yamamoto said, it might be that I had just forgotten it all.

We will definitely pay you back. He will.

It felt like I returned to the time when we were in elementary school, playing together.

This really suits you! Take a look.

- This won't do, will it? - You look really cool! It really suits you.

I can't pull it off. It's too striking for a salesman.

That's exactly what you want. It can become something to talk about.

What... what are you doing?

Stop it.

You look really good with your hair like this. Take a look.

You look more approachable, and won't make the other person feel tense.

This sensation and these movements,

Yamamoto, could it be that you have already come out of the closet?

This is for Tuesday.

- And this is Wednesday's.\- Sir!

My apologies!

I'll have all of these.

No, no!

You should be refreshing as a salesman. Cleanliness is very important.

Another important thing for a salesman is to talk slowly with a smile.

But won't people think I'm looking down on them if I speak slowly?

Definitely not. I guarantee it.

Everyone will be thinking, "This person understands our viewpoint."

Understand the other person?

- Just like this! - Wh...wh... what craziness are you up to?

You startled me.

- Thank you for your patronage. - Thank you.

Thank you.

Say, you seem like just a layman. Why do you know so much about sales?

I used to work in a company with many rules and regulations.

Used to? Then what about now?

- I'm a NEETer. - No way, you don't have a job? T/N: Not in Education, Employment or Training.

I make do with some day labour.

You're not preparing to apply for a proper job?

I won't die if I don't become a proper member of society.

You really are a strange person.

Good morning.

Good morning. You're early.

Your tie looks different from usual today.

- Does it look weird? - No, it suits you.

That's a relief.

No matter what, I must close the deal today.

- Kotani Confectionery? - Yes.

It would be great if you manage to close the deal.

You've already been a sales agent for a year and a half right?

Yes.

And this is your biggest business deal to date.

Yes, but it cannot be compared to the deals that Igarashi-san has closed.

Not at all. Who knows, maybe this is the starting point of your future.

Yes.

Aoyama-kun has changed recently.

- Yes? - You're in better spirits now, and you smile more often.

- Someone reminded me about it. - Your girlfriend?

No, it's a guy.

But he's a little bit strange.

- Just ask me if you have any questions. - Thank you.

Then, I have a question to ask.

How are you always able to get a contract signed?

Perhaps it's because I always make sure to stay motivated.

Stay motivated?

What about you?

How do you plan to do it?

Me? That's right.

I want to understand the other party, and be considerate to them. That's what I think.

Let's do our best.

Yes.

Excuse me, can you please help to contact Mr Sakurai from the sales department?

Noda-san!

I apologise for disturbing you when you are so busy.

I brought our company's newly issued sample posters today.

- So many? - Yes.

But I never said I would sign a contract with your company.

Even though the designers were very patient,

but I still implored of them to come out with 4 proposals first.

Then let's go there and talk about it.

You are willing to give me this chance?

I wanted to drink some coffee anyway.

Thank you, sir!

Really? That's just perfect. Amazing!

The person-in-charge, Noda-san, told me that my enthusiasm and earnestness moved him.

That's great.

Lately, he's even confided in me about some personal matters of his.

He had a child last month.

If it continues like this, everything will definitely go well.

Yamamoto.

Thank you for everything.

What for?

If you hadn't given me all of those suggestions, I wouldn't have been able to close this deal.

What are you saying? This is all because of your abilities.

If you hadn't accosted me that day...

Speaking of, you are not a simple man at all.

Who would have recognised someone they haven't even seen since 3rd year of elementary school?

Excuse me for a minute.

Yes, Iwai? Thank you for last time.

That's what I wanted to talk to you about.

I managed to find a way to contact Yamamoto.

- I don't need that... - Yamamoto is now in New York.

Said he was a director in a theatre.

Amazing isn't it?

But now he has come back to Japan, right?

No. He hasn't come back.

Just take a look at Facebook.

I got it.

Thank you.

Aoyama, what is it?

What were you doing?

What's this?

What tantrum are you throwing, with that long face?

You want to change tables?

My 3rd-year elementary school classmate is now in New York.

- Is that so? - What "is that so"?

You're not my classmate, are you?

You found out.

At first I thought you were my classmate, but then I realised I got the wrong person.

When did you find out?

Wasn't there a time when we were talking about teachers?

Mura-sensei?

I didn't think my teacher was called that.

Really? Then didn't you know from the beginning?

I guess so.

You're not tricking me, are you?

Making me trust in you like a friend, and then selling me something?

Are you stupid?

I was having so much fun, how could I have brought it up?

Is your surname really Yamamoto?

- What's your first name? - Jun.

If you still don't believe me, take a look for yourself.

It's true. But there seems...

The style's different from now, isn't it?

This photo is from that time when I was still in sales that I told you before.

Is that so?

Even though it was a misunderstanding in the beginning,

but we became friends.

Or is it that if I'm not your classmate, Aoyama, you wouldn't consider me a friend anymore?

Then I'll introduce myself once again.

My name is Yamamoto Jun.

My name is Aoyama Takashi.

Then now there are no more secrets between us.

Then can I ask you something?

Yamamoto,

are you gay?

Are you stupid? I don't have that inclination at all.

Don't you worry...

Takashi.

Then let's drink to our becoming on good terms again.

After our discussions these few days, we have come up with a draft.

Make all the words bigger so that it can be immediately understood.

- That's not bad.\- Is it okay?

- Can you pick a brighter hue for the colours? - Of course.

Understood. Then next time we will use the specified paper material.

- And bring over the printed final results next time. - I entrust this to you.

Yes.

- When will be our next meeting? - Please excuse me.

- We can probably get it done if you give us 3 days. - Can you do it within 2 days?

- Then we'll get it done in 2 days. - This is Aoyama. You have worked hard.

Aoyama-kun, come back quickly. Kotani Confectionery has complained about you.

Igarashi-san, the complaint you were talking about?

It seems like the final product's material is not what was agreed upon before.

Noda-san is very angry.

Nothing went wrong with the order form, did it?

There should be no mistakes. I checked it many times.

Maybe it's the factory's mistake?

It happens sometimes. I have encountered it before.

That can't be right.

I filled in the wrong thing in the order form.

Why?

Why would there be a mistake?

Aoyama-kun, pull yourself together. Anyway, let's go.

- But this has nothing to do with you. - I was the one who answered the phone.

And I am the person who is the most clear on the causes.

I'm sorry.

I am very sorry!

It was unusual that I would entrust this to you.

You have disappointed me.

- Noda-san... - Aoyama-kun!

I'll go talk to Noda-san. You just wait here.

- But this is my fault. - It's okay.

I'll figure something out.

I'll figure something out.

First you owed someone a debt, then made other people suffer a loss.

You even made Igarashi clean up your mess.

What are you even doing at the company?

I am very sorry.

And I thought you could finally take on a big deal.

Forget about your job performance, you even have to compensate for the loss!

You are really just a piece of trash!

Isn't that so?

- Igarashi, come here. - Yes.

Please excuse me.

I don't care that you helped that piece of trash to sort out this mess.

You have only completed 85% of the job requirement, right?

I'm sorry.

You are the business' trump card. You are in an awkward position aren't you?

How do you expect me to show my face?

There won't be any problems.

I will definitely make up for it by this month's closing.

- Really? - Yes.

I'm relying on you.

Damn it!

I arranged to have a meal with a client.

It's all your fault! I'm going to be late.

Thank you for your hard work!

Aoyama-kun, that's enough for today. Just go back home.

But...

Please listen to your senior.

Yes.

Igarashi-san, I am really sorry.

I will go back first.

You've worked hard.

Thank you for your hard work.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.

Tomorrow I have to take first bus to work.

First thing in the morning tomorrow I have to apologise to Noda-san again.

And apologise to Igarashi-san as well.

I have to sleep soon.

I want to sleep.

Once I'm asleep, I don't have to worry anymore.

I really want to sleep.

Stop thinking so much. Stop thinking so much.

It's alright. It's alright. It's alright.

Okay.

Where are you going?

- I'm going to hand the amended contract to Kotani Confectionery. - Who let you go?

The Kotani Confectionery deal has been transferred to Igarashi to follow-up.

What?

What do you mean "What"? Doesn't this go without saying?

Hand the contract over to Igarashi. Quickly!

Yes, sir!

- I'm counting on you, Igarashi. - Yes, sir.

I'm sorry. I entrust this to you.

- Then I'll go do some field-work. - Like I said!

Any business transaction you're involved in will only cause trouble for the company.

Here, look.

I seldom see everyone coming to work so assiduously.

Because of you, everyone's work-drive is far from what it was before!

Isn't that so, Taguchi? My bad.

Does it feel good?

Apologise right now!

Apologise to everyone present here!

I'm sorry.

Hey,

if you really felt that you were in the wrong,

you would be kneeling on the floor, wouldn't you?

That's called sincerity!

Mr Yamakami! Aoyama-kun already blames himself.

Igarashi.

- Igarashi. - Yes, sir.

I don't care if you look after your junior.

Just go to Kotani Confectionery and sort out this piece of trash's mess.

- I am sorry. - What?

- I am very sorry! - What?

Who can hear you if you're whispering?

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

Say it again.

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

Again!

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

Go on.

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

Go on...

Wait a minute.

Who said you could stop?

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

I'm sorry. I am very sorry!

- I'm sorry. - Aoyama-kun.

- I am very sorry! - Aoyama-kun!

- I'm sorry. - Mr Yamakami is not here anymore.

- Please lift up your head. - I am very sorry.

I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry.

- Aren't you being too much, Takashi? - Takashi.

What's going on with you? Once you find out who I really am, you don't answer my calls or emails.

- That's too cold of you. - Sorry.

I was so lonely I could cry.

- Let's go. - Wait, today is...

- What is it? - I don't feel like drinking today.

- What? You didn't say so earlier. - That's why today...

I got it!

If it's this restaurant, we don't need to drink but can just have a good chat.

Have some draft beer. No? Or you want coffee?

There are so many types, look!

The pasta looks delicious! So does the pizza.

Carbonara. Gorgonzola pasta.

Gorgonzola pizza. Gorgonzola penne. Gorgonzola gnocchi!

Hey, Takashi, which Gorgonzola do you want?

Anything's fine.

Is that so?

What's garlic roast beef?

Let's have some fries.

I still want to drink some beer.

Have a drink then. I'll pass.

Why are you not drinking today?

I just don't want to.

And I feel like I don't have the right to drink.

Why?

- Excuse me, 2 draft beers please. - Yes!

- I said I won't... - Takashi.

What happened?

So you're saying that it's really your fault?

Yes. My order form had a mistake.

But didn't you say you checked it the previous day?

Did you check it before you sent it?

If I had, this wouldn't have happened.

Could someone have changed the details on the form?

Who would have done it? Why would he do it?

Takashi.

Is there anyone who would gain something from this mistake?

- No one. The company suffered great losses. - Who's the one handling this contract now?

Let alone gaining anything, after helping me she was even reprimanded by the department head.

I understand.

Sorry.

I'm sorry for making wild assumptions.

It's fine.

Thank you for worrying about me.

What's wrong?

I felt a gust of cold wind.

Do you have a cold?

No... I'm fine.

Takashi.

Have you been sleeping well lately?

So-so.

What about meals?

Do you eat your lunch on time?

Yes, on the rooftop.

The rooftop? Why are you eating on the rooftop?

No real reason.

Takashi.

Don't you think you should change your job?

Just look at J league,

the moment they change clubs, they had splendid players all over the place.

It's important to have compatibility with the coach.

Because you are like this now, you might not understand my difficulties.

In this age, it's not easy working as a regular employee.

Why are you so concerned about that?

Thinking about having to support the family when I'm married with kids,

being a regular employee would definitely be better.

You don't even have a girlfriend now, but you're worrying about all this.

Anyway, it's not so easy to quit a job.

Not as easy as what?

What?

To you, is there anything more easy to do than quitting a job?

Even if you say that...

To you, quitting a job or killing yourself,

which one is easier?

- I never thought of killing myself. - Weren't you thinking of killing yourself?

- I didn't. - You did.

On that day when we first met.

Weren't you thinking of falling onto the tracks to kill yourself?

- That's because I stumbled... - It wasn't.

I saw you at the ticket gate.

And then I kept on watching you from behind.

Why did you do that?

Because I knew

a person who had the same expression on his face as you.

- I'll take my leave. - Have a good day.

Have a good day.

Aoyama-kun, your tie has gone back to your previous low-profile look.

Slowly, everything returned to the way it was before.

And I was no longer so arrogant.

Carefully, carefully.

As long as I do not become a bother to anyone else,

then can I have a peaceful weekend.

Then can I hang on for a little while more.

It's fine to have no dreams and no hope.

Brighten the yellow and darken the green a little.

- The client feels that the colour last time was not bright enough. - I understand.

- How about at 2p.m.? - That's fine.

I'm counting on you.

This is Aoyama. I've just left the Nagareyama plant. I'm on my way back.

What's with that downcast expression?

Is that the Yamamoto I know?

Come to think of it, I don't know anything about Yamamoto.

Excuse me, what stops will this bus make along the way?

It doesn't. This is a shuttle bus to the cemetery.

- Where do you want to go? The regular buses are over that way... - It's okay. I'll take this one.

[Yamamoto Jun]

What is this?

What is this?

Death Anniversary 3 years ago today, Yamamoto Jun passed away. Thinking about Jun who ended his own life hurts a lot.

During the early hours of 6th August, Miyata Food Company employee, Yamamoto Jun (aged 20)'s body was discovered in front of the company.

Yamamoto Jun was believed to have jumped to his death from the company's rooftop. People around him have confirmed that he was stressed from overwork due to long hours and abuse of authority. However, the company has denied any causal relationship. 山本さんは同社ビル屋上飛からび降り自殺したものとみられ、長時間労働による過労とパワハラによるストレスを抱えていた、という周囲の征言もある。しかし会社側はー切の因果関係を否定している。

That can't be true.

Did Yamamoto come to my side as a spirit in order to stop me from killing myself?

Good morning.

What? Where did you come in from?

The emergency exit. I was on the rooftop.

- I'm sorry, did I do something wrong again? - Not at all.

I just wanted to look at the Kotani's data. Sorry for using your computer without permission.

- My bad. Is there anything you want me to do? I can do it. - It's fine. It's already done.

- If there's something I can do... - I said it's fine!

Aoyama-kun, Mr Yamakami has already said that you don't need to be involved in this anymore.

He will definitely get mad if he finds out about this.

By the way,

he also wanted you to delete all the data on Kotani Confectionery from your computer.

Can you transfer all of it into here?

Yes.

Hey, Takashi!

Must you go that far? Why are you so scared?

We meet again. Do you have some time?

- Let's go have a drink. - My bad, I have something on today.

Is it because I asked you to quit your job?

- Are you still angry? - It's not that at all.

If I reject him now and make him angry, will he curse me to death?

But if Yamamoto came to this Earth to save me...

- I got it, let's go. - Great!

He has legs.

He plays soccer, and does a <i>Kazu dance</i>.T/N: Miura Kazuyoshi 三浦 知良 or 'King Kazu' is a famous Japanese soccer player.

And even wears a pineapple print shirt...

Does this kind of spirit really exist?

That feels great!

Takashi, if you had joined in, it would be even more fun.

There's no way it can exist.

Then what was with that blog?

- I say, Takashi, - Uh, what is it?

Let's have a takoyaki party together next time.

Come to my house and play!

Well, it's enough if you can come.

I will not let you go back home.

That time when I saw him, he was returning to the cemetery, wasn't he?

Spirits take the public bus?

I bet you won't be able to stop yourself from eating my unparalleled takoyaki.

I have to take a leak.

If that guy really is a spirit,

and he came here to save me,

I should try my best to make him move on, shouldn't I?

Anyway, I'll just keep on working for now.

I don't know how much I can do,

but I should do my best at whatever I can first.

- I am going. - Have a good day.

Igarashi-san, do you have a minute?

- This is the information on Kotani Confectionery... - Why?

- You've handed all the data to me, haven't you?\- Yes.

What's wrong?

Nothing.

Come over here.

What is this?

This is the information I collected during the discussions with Noda-san last time.

I think it can be useful.

Here are the plans for sales expansion and other things which were discussed with Noda-san up to the finalisation of the contract.

- I've summarised them all. - I already know all of this!

What is this?

It's all about kids and interests and hobbies.

It's all just the idle chatter during the discussion!

Is this how you are understanding and considerate of others?

I'm sorry.

You can't just close a deal through good relations alone.

I'm sorry.

How do you think this thing would be able to help me?

I'm sorry.

You've already deleted the data, right?

If you're still unsure, you can check it.

Hey you,

wasn't Igarashi the one who fixed up your mess?

Yet you are ungrateful and bad-mouthing her?

Are you trying to say that this was what you were responsible for, you were the one who secured this customer to work with us,

and now someone has snatched it away? Are you trying to take someone else's work?

No, I never had this intention...

My manner of speaking was bad. I really am very grateful towards Igarashi-san.

- That's why I was thinking of whether I could help her. - Don't fuck with me!

Listen up, Igarashi is the one in charge of Kotani Confectionery.

Everything is Igarashi's.

You are just the one who got that initial rubbish contract signed.

All of this started because of your mistake.

So what, you'd even slander your senior who has been so considerate to you? Do you want to get a performance achievement that badly?

No, not at all.

You won't even let a girl off, you're worse than a beast!

Damn you!

Son of a bitch!

Damn you!

You.

Are you trying to snatch away the profits earned by Igarashi and I?

Absolute piece of trash!

That's enough!

Get the fuck back to work!

Igarashi-san.

I'm very sorry. You were misunderstood because of what I said.

I really am very grateful to you. You have taught me so much.

And you've always looked after me, but I kept on causing you trouble.

From this day onward, I'll be more careful.

Igarashi-san.

Igarashi-san!

Go away.

Stupid.

[Yamamoto]

That looks like it feels good.

Yamamoto.

I'm sorry.

What's wrong?

You had given me so much counsel and advice.

Should I go over?

Don't. Don't come over.

After all, we will be able to meet each other very soon.

What do you mean?

Yamamoto Jun

died 3 years ago.

That's why I want to go to where you are right now.

Let's have a drink over there.

Turn around.

I told you to turn around.

Takashi.

Who do you think people live for?

Who does Aoyama Takashi live for?

- For myself. - Yes, and?

- Is there anyone else? - There is.

Who?

For those people who cherish you.

- But I don't have a girlfriend. - I know.

There are other people, aren't there?

Your family.

How are they doing?

Takashi,

maybe you think that once you die all your troubles will be over.

Would they be able to accept that?

Do you know how painful it is for the older generation to bury the younger?

But I...

have always treated my parents badly.

What did you do?

I left the vegetables my mother sent me to rot.

I've yelled and screamed at her, and...

When I first started high school, my father was laid off.

He had a hard time getting reemployed,

so we could only move to my grandmother's house in Yamanashi.

I didn't want to go to the countryside,

and cursed at him terribly.

Is that so?

"Not being able to get re-employed is because you have no skills"

I scolded my father with the very same words the department head accused me of.

Wasn't I terrible?

That's why they should be feeling that it's fine if this kind of son disappears.

You really were an unfilial son.

- That's why I understand... - You don't understand!

What your father and mother are really thinking,

how would you know if you don't experience it yourself?

Tell me, is there any family

whose parents would not be sad that their son had died before them?

It's almost time to go back.

Let's go back.

How did you know that I was here?

Yamamoto!

What exactly are you?

A spirit.

Really?

Not gonna tell you! What will I do if I get caught because I said that I'm a spirit?

I'm home.

Takashi?

What happened?

Didn't you say you wanted to eat delicious cakes from Tokyo?

Thank you.

Welcome home.

I'm home.

- Later I want to try the grapes dad planted. - I'll pick some for you later.

The 3,000 yen ones.

- Then you should pay for it properly. - I have to pay?

Of course!

You won't even let your own son off?

- You want some wine? Those made this year are not bad. - They're delicious.

I'm fine for now.

- Thanks, dad. - Fine then.

- Are you staying here tonight? - I'll take the last train back. I have to go to work tomorrow.

Go after dinner. I'll send you to the station.

- We'll do it that way then. - What do you want to eat?

Mum's hōtō. (udon noodles and vegetables in miso soup)

It's been long time since I've made that. I will try my best.

Thank you for the cakes. They are delicious.

Look, my belly's so big! I've eaten too many cakes.

Um...

I'm sorry.

What's the matter?

I've always taken your love and care for granted.

What are you saying?

And I've never considered your feelings.

I am very sorry.

If..

Just if,

I said I wanted to quit my job, what will you do?

It's fine, I don't mind.

Because it's not like there's only one company in the whole world.

You can come back to stay at home.

You are still young. It's fine if you fail many times.

That's right, that's right.

Takashi.

As long as people are alive, their lives have limitless possibilities.

That't right.

You see, Takashi,

when we first moved here,

wasn't your father always unable to find a job?

Yes.

Back then, not only was our savings slowly depleting,

we also had to take care of your sick grandmother.

At the most painful time, I was feeling physically and mentally exhausted.

Then I told your father,

"Let's all die together!"

But I gave up that notion.

No matter what we felt,

Takashi has his own life to live. That's what we thought.

And then, we wanted to see what kind of man you would grow up into.

Well,

you should call your mother sometimes.

She had always been holding herself back, and only called you when she couldn't help it anymore.

Daddy!

Even when there was nothing to say she would find something to talk about.

Because she only wanted to hear your voice.

Really, Daddy. You're very talkative today.

I will call you.

Yamamoto.

Maybe you're not some kind of spirit,

but a messenger sent from God instead?

[Mr Yamamoto, thank you so much. I'm glad you have made your decision...

...There are many angels waiting for you.]

[Aoyama Takashi: Good Morning! Sorry for the early hour.]

- Sorry for calling you over so early. - No problem. What's up?

I have something I want to tell you.

What is it?

- Thank you so much for everything! - What are you doing? Stop it, it's embarassing.

I'm really grateful to you.

For being my friend.

From that moment you first saw me,

you just kept on thinking of ways to help me.

Um...

I'm sorry for calling you out like this, but could you wait awhile for me here?

I don't mind, but what are you going to do?

I'm just going to quit my job now.

One, two, three, four!

Five, six, seven, eight!

One, two, three, four!

Nine! Boss' orders are God's orders!

Nine! Boss' orders are God's orders!

Ten! Throw away my heart!

Ten! Throw away my heart!

Without a heart that gets discouraged easily, I can tolerate everything!

Without a heart that gets discouraged easily, I can tolerate everything!

Good morning!

You're 15 minutes late.

2000 yen deducted from your pay, idiot.

Mr Yamakami.

I want to quit today.

You...

What rubbish are you spouting so early in the morning?

This is why all the young people nowadays are losers.

Isn't that so? Can't do your job properly, yet you still want to hold on to your pride.

No resolve at all!

- Isn't that so? - Yes.

You don't have a clue what society is!

Someone like you who wants to quit at the slightest sign of trouble, wherever you go, whatever you do, you will accomplish nothing!

You are destined to be a failure for the rest of your life!

I am living for myself, and for the people who care for me.

What? Aren't you just giving up and running away?

Are you trying to fool me?

You're too naive!

Someone like you who thinks that he can easily find another job is very much mistaken!

It's fine if it's not easy.

What?

I was too rash in deciding to join this company.

I wanted an unofficial job offer. Thinking so much until I became confused, I didn't even know what I wanted to do.

And so I muddled my way into this company.

That's why, I know that I have caused everyone a lot of trouble.

I am very sorry.

What are you saying sorry for? Who said you could spout your nonsense over here?

Firstly, our company requires you to submit your resignation one month in advance!

Don't you even know this, you idiot?

Just like this and you want to quit? Then I can only fire you.

That doesn't matter to me.

What?

Three days ago, I was thinking of jumping from this company's rooftop.

However, even if I was like that, from tomorrow onwards my life could still change.

Someone important made me realise this fact.

What?

Right now, I still don't know what I want to do or what I can do.

But from now on I want to always look up at the blue sky and laugh.

I want to live without lying to myself.

Stop talking nonsense, you idiot.

What's with that toothpaste-commercial smile of yours?

And you want to always look up at the sky and smile, is that it?

Do you think relying on that is going to put food on the table?

Mr Yamakami.

I have a final favour to ask of you.

This company has employees who are striving to do their best.

Please treat them well.

Please grant me this favour.

Please.

Thank you for your support.

Stop joking around.

If possible, you could also take a few days of rest.

Fuck you, bastard!

Fuck you!

That hurts!

Fuck!

- It hurts, fuck! - Are you okay?

Hurts. Fuck.

- Aoyama-kun. - Igarashi-san.

Thank you for always taking care of me.

That...

The order form... that you filled in.

I was the one who changed it.

If Aoyama managed to land a big deal, my target would have to go up even higher...

and I can't take it anymore.

Looking at how you were starting to flourish, you would definitely be able to catch up to me soon.

The more I thought about this, the more scared I became. If I didn't change your form,

I will die.

I'm not taking all of this in stride like everyone thinks I do. I want to run away too!

But I don't know where else I can go to other than here. Even if I wanted to change jobs, no place would accept me.

I'm very tired.

I'm sorry.

That time, I don't know why I was so envious of you either.

So you don't have to resign.

That's enough. I was the one always causing you trouble.

Not realising how you felt is also because of my carelessness.

Thank you for telling me the truth.

Igarashi-san, you are the person that I look up to.

Thank you very much.

From that time onwards,

Yamamoto disappeared from my world.

[Twice cooked pork]

[Yamamoto]

<i>The number you have dialled does not exist. Please key in the correct number.</i>

Yamamoto.

What kind of being are you?

Can I no longer meet you anymore?

[Mii's Blog]

[Send a message]

Yamamoto.

[Subject: Nice to meet you Message: Aoyama Takashi]

You were always by my side whenever I had any difficulties, weren't you?

But during the times when we were together,

what were you thinking about?

- Hello! - Hello!

Mii-chan called yesterday night.

She was from here as well.

She was the one who told me

that you might be the one who knew Yamamoto the best, Director.

I did know him very well.

From the first day he came here.

- Hello. - Hello.

And you are this place's...

I'm just the daughter of the previous Director.

That's why they were like two younger brothers to me.

They?

I'm referring to him, and his twin brother, Jun.

His real name is Yamamoto Yuu.

Yamamoto Yuu.

Jun-kun and Yuu-kun came here when they were five.

Because their parents died in a car accident.

No matter what they did, those two boys were always alike.

It really felt like they were born from the same soul.

The same soul.

When they came here,

only Jun-kun could stay beside Yuu-kun.

Yuu-kun wouldn't open up his heart to me or anyone else.

- You mean Yamamoto? - Yes.

But one day Jun-kun showed Yuu-kun this photo album.

Jun said,

"They are also children who have lost their parents,

yet they can laugh so happily."

"So you should laugh with them as well!"

Then surprisingly, Yuu-kun actually laughed out loud.

So Yamamoto got his smile from Jun-kun didn't he?

They told me once before,

"Reiko nee-chan,

our parents named us together in this way so that we can always be pure and gentle children."

This country, Vanuatu,

is a beautiful island that looks like heaven.

Perhaps they thought that as long as they went there

they could return to their parents' embrace once again.

When both of them grow up,

Yuu-kun will become a school teacher

while Jun-kun will go there as a doctor.

That was their dream.

They planned to go to a national university with a scholarship.

But Jun-kun had a cold on the day of the exam.

He caught it from the children he was looking after.

It was a shame, but he couldn't afford to study another year because of it.

Because he could only stay here until he was 18.

So he had to start looking for a job.

But he was optimistic.

"I can work and study at the same time. I'll definitely be able to get into medical school."

"I will do my best so I will be fine."

He was laughing as he said that.

But he couldn't pass the exam the next year either.

The company he was working at was also a so-called "black company" (exploitative, sweatshop-like company).

Around the same time, Yuu-kun was attending university and working part-time.

He also started joining the volunteer group to Vanuatu.

So it was Yamamoto who came here first.

Yes.

The two of them who were always together

started to walk on different paths.

Jun.

Yes?

I'm going to Vanuatu again next month.

Is that so?

Jun, do you want to go with me?

I'm very busy at the company.

I can't just take a long break.

Jun, listen to me.

Vanuatu is a really great place.

There are no orphanages there. Do you know why?

Of course there are orphans who have lost their parents like us over there,

but after that, the whole village will become like their family and start taking care of them.

That's why there is no need for orphanages.

Don't you think it's amazing?

Is that so? That's great.

Jun.

Yes?

Do you want to quit your company? And change your job?

Yuu, I still want to become a doctor and volunteer at Vanuatu.

At that time

when our parents were in surgery at the hospital because of the accident,

I made that decision while I was holding your hand.

I will become a doctor and have the power to help father and mother.

Jun.

Ever since then?

- Why didn't you tell me before... -I couldn't tell you.

Because I was the one who wanted you to laugh like those children.

If you had noticed that I was always immersed in painful memories of the past,

your smile would have disappeared for good.

Because I will go there as well.

I understand.

I'll be waiting for you.

You must definitely come.

Jun is just like his name.

He was too pure and gentle.

Yamamoto as well.

He is pure and gentle as well.

Yes.

That's why when Jun committed suicide, that child blamed himself.

Yuu?

Yuu!

Yuu.

Long time no see! It's me, Yamamoto.

Takashi, don't you think you should change your job?

Long time no see!

It's me, Yamamoto.

Aoyama-kun!

Aoyama-kun!

Takashi?

Takashi!

Hey, Takashi!

Hey, Takashi!

That...

Until a while ago,

I had the same thoughts to commit suicide just like Jun-kun.

But Yamamoto saved me.

However, what he had been thinking about Jun-kun and himself,

he had never mentioned a word of it to me.

That child came to see me half a month ago.

Said he was going to travel.

Travel?

It's been a really long time since that child last came back.

It's the first time since Jun-kun passed away.

At that time, Yuu-kun told me

that he met with someone,

who told him that he decided to live again properly because of him.

Yuu said,

"Reiko nee-chan,

have you ever seen a grown man in a suit, skipping across the street while wielding a bag?"

That child was really laughing with joy.

- But he said that there was something he forgot to tell that man. - What is it?

"Thank you".

Why? I'm the one who should say thank you.

Thank you.

That child is waiting for you.

He told me to pass this to you when you came here.

Look at the back.

[My Angels. Wouldn't it be wonderful to laugh together with them?]

Hey, Teacher Yuu.

What would happen if people lose hope?

Hope doesn't disappear.

It just becomes invisible sometimes.

Is this place heaven?

This place is...

This place is the entrance to the Country of Hope.

Yamamoto, I also believe

that there will be many painful things if I live,

but there will always be hope around somewhere.

If there's no hope, then go find it.

If you can't find it then you can make it.

And if even that little bit of hope is lost,

you can start over from the beginning.

Yamamoto, this is the only way for people to move forward, isn't it?

This is how you have always been living, isn't it?

Does everyone understand?

- Sir Yuu. - What is it?

I want to become a teacher just like you.

You want to become a teacher?

Is that so? That's wonderful!

Me too!

So are these children your angels?

That's right. These children are my angels.

Takashi, you came.

Teacher Yuu, who is this?

My good friend.

Yamamoto.

Can I be the one to help you this time?

Start by becoming a volunteer teacher.

What's your name?

You name.

My name is Aoyama Takashi. I'm from Japan.

I am 24 years old this year.

You have to learn some tenses first.

Is that so? Please teach me.

Why don't you start working now?

- But what should I do? - It's very simple.

Let's play tag.

Takashi's it, everyone run!

Takashi's it. That's your first job!

Jun.

Life's not so bad, is it?

It features slot for 510(with adapter) and 810 drip tips, top fill with slider top cap, tank capacity is 2ml and can be increased up to 5ml by bubble glass

Deck is design for dual coils only, it have bottom airflow and airflow is adjustable. Diameter of this device is 24mm

And, as always, we start from the very top, where we have 810 non-o-ring drip tip, apparently in a shape of lotus - look at its curve

This drip tip feels comfortable in the mouth, but I can't say i'm fully satisfied with this drip tip, I get used to other drip tips and besides, it's pretty hard to take off

You need to try hard to take it off, it's pretty slippery and there isn't something to grab to take it off

Let's continue talking regarding drip tip. I faced another issue - when I tried to find a matchy matchy from my own 810 drip tips, I had seen overhang, which is bothering my inner perfectionist

You will be seeing this overhang all the time, as you can see, all of my 810 drip tips, drip tips from the US manufacturers, have overhang. It going to be very hard to find fitting drip tip, so I'm gonna leave the kit one

Next goes the top cap for top filling. As you can see there is an arrow, which tells us to push it that way, so after we did it slides and opens up

And here we can see two slots for filling, silicone gasket and the key, which holds this top cap in place, while it's closed

So it's like that - shift it to open, fill the tank, close it and slide it back

But there is a certain nuance because of that - there will be slight gap due to the mechanism itself

Let's continue disassembling the device. Now we can unscrew top part - a glass with a bell, to do this we need to unscrew it counter clockwise

And here we're going to encounter another issue - glass isn't holding.

So if you need to get inside, let's say the cotton has shifted and you need to correct it, because RTA has begun to leak , you will be unable to do this without draining the liquid completely, because glass isn't holding on it's place and won't be holding the liquid

Overall, this is one of the main issues of this tank

Inside we can see, I don't even know, a spherical or conical machining and that's basically it, because this part is a single piece

Also we have a Lotus engraving on the bell

And now we're going to talk about the main thing - the deck of this device. Yes, this is postless deck, or to be more exact posts for vertical coil installation

This device is for dual coils only and it have a bottom airflow

Guys call it conditioner or something like that

Also it's GTA system - genesis tank atomizer - when liquid get to the cotton from the bottom and cotton is sorta in a juice well

You will be fixating coil leads with flat head screws on both sides

A little bit lower we have the airflow adjustment ring - the air is taken from both sides and on the bottom of a tank we have 510 connection, inscription Lotus RTA, HugsVape, a link to manufacturer's site and nice protruding pin

So, friends, this kind of RTA is come out by guys from HugsVape. And I think it's time to build this tank and install dual coils in it

But before we do that, let's figure out how this plastic Coil Trimming Tool works

Basically, there's all we need to know on this side - you can measure the post size, after that stick the leads through the hole and cut it by the needed length

For this tank I've chosen 4.5mm length. So, I will found corresponding hole and stick coil leads into it, as you can see it's kinda long for a 4.5mm, so we can cut excess wire.

So let's take a wire cutter and simply cut excess wire like so

Now we have two perfectly even coils for installing them in this RTA

I'll be using this thing with pleasure, it's really interesting

For example, Skill RTA posts, let's measure them, what size we have here? Nope, it's too much. I guess something from this side will fit - here, 4.5mm. So that's the coil leads length we need

Yea, this is my 0.05Ω coil for testing. Rest in peace

Okay, we're ready to build this tank, so. Music. Let's roll

So, friends, everything is ready for getting back to face-time and try this device's flavor, cloud production and, of course, discuss its pros and cons

Thanks for your attention in close up

Let's go up

Opachki!

It's tasty. It's really flavor chaser RTA

Small chamber, bottom airflow, everything positively affect the flavor. And as always, I found some cons. Let's go and discuss the cons

First con I'll give for 810 drip tip. Yes, this drip tip isn't that comfortable. I'd like to use my own 810 drip tip, but, unfortunately, I can't do this, because diameter of my drip tips is wider than fit of this tank

Also it's very hard to remove this drip tip and HugsVape know about this issue, they pointed it out for me by themselves.

They said that they have this issue with removing of drip tip and probably in retail version there will be other drip tip. We'll see. Right now it's hard to take off the drip tip and the drip tip fit is not the best

Next con I'll give for the top cap. I believe that such top caps isn't the best solution for RTA. Yes, it's convenient, you don't need to take off the top cap, you don't need to think where to put the cap after you unscrewed it

But, in process of usage, there is a high chance that, when parts will wear off a bit, depressurization of the device may occur

So, I think, that top caps which can be screwed is far more durable and reliable

And the main major con of this device - the lack of access to the deck when tank is filled

The glass is absolutely doesn't hold on the top part of the tank

And in case if something goes wrong with your coils and you will need to get inside - in any case you will must to drain the tank completely. It's very inconvenient, it's uncomfortable and for this I'm giving the MAJOR con to this tank

So, friends, I'm done with the cons, let's talk about nitpicks

And I have nitpick for wicking. Yes, this is a good old wicking, we've seen it many times before, but here we can ran into some issues.

If the cotton will get to the threads at the moment when you screw down the bell, as a result we can get over-saturation and RTA may leak, because cotton will be shifted

Not happened to me, I managed to launch it from the first time, but some of you may experience this issue, so be careful when wicking

And now it's time to talk about pros. There is also the pros here, of course

First pro to this tank I'll give for the quality of machining. Great threads, nice fit of parts, though yes, glass is a let down, but overall I like the quality of a device. I'm interested - what will be next

Convenient coil installation. In the matter of fact it's plain simple, especially with this thing it's very convenient, when you know the length of the leads of a coil. Cut, install, tightened the screws, everything simple

Next pro I'll give for a great draw - it's very nice and soft draw. It's direct lung draw with nice restriction

Also cloud production is on point, and we're going to talk about the flavor right now

And last, an I guess the most important pro of this RTA is the flavor. The flavor from this device is great. Bottom airflow, small chamber, as I said before, and all of this positively affects on the flavor

I like the flavor on this device a lot, so I give it a MAJOR pro

Alright, friends, let's discuss the price

The price is standard. Standard for any Chinese device - 35$. Pretty familiar price and it's on one site that I found. I think this device will appear on familiar sites later and maybe the price will be lower

Who I can recommend this device to? I think to all who likes vaping on dual coils, to all those people who likes bottom airflow and to all those people who likes RTA's

Basically, this is a familiar device, you won't get any problems with it when you'll be launching it for the first times. Maybe later something may occur, but this will tell only long period of usage

Yes, 2ml is maybe not that much for dual coil device, but you have bubble glass extender, which will increase capacity up to 5ml and which I do not welcome this

Though bubble glass is kinda trend on the market now, many people use it and maybe I'll use it in my devices

I perfectly understand, why HugsVape had chosen 2ml as main capacity - to cover all vape market, including European market, on which the TPD acts, which restricts tank capacity down to 2ml

Okay, friends, at this point I'll finalize

I want to say big thanks to HugsVape for sending me this RTA for review

I want to wish bright future to this company, as well as interesting ideas and low price tags

And I'm telling thank YOU for your attention

Also don't forget - in this corner we have a voting going - do you like this device or no(да-yes/нет-no)

Don't forget to subscribe to my channel, if you still didn't, hit the Like button if you liked my review and share this video with your friends(and the fact, that now it have a caption, spread the word!) and press that freaking Bell button

City of Swan Mayor allegedly attacked with microphone after Midland Oval meeting - Duration: 5:48.

City of Swan Mayor allegedly attacked with microphone after Midland Oval meeting

A special electors meeting at the City of Swan descended into chaos on Monday night when Mayor David Lucas was allegedly attacked and struck in the head with a microphone.

The meeting at the Midland Town Hall was called to discuss redevelopment plans for Midland Oval, a topic of heated debate and protests in recent weeks.

It is understood shortly after the meeting — which was attended by about 150 people — a man approached Mr Lucas, allegedly lashing out with the microphone, before he was tackled to the ground.

The man sustained minor injuries, while Mr Lucas suffered a cut to his head.

St John Ambulance officers treated both men at the scene.

The motive for the alleged attack is not yet known.

Police have confirmed a 67-year-old man was arrested, and charged with assaulting a person performing a public function, and unlawful damage.

He is due to face court next on July 10.

Former cop used to violence.

Mr Lucas declined to comment when contacted by the ABC, but his son told ABC Radio Perth his father was in good spirits.

Cameron Lucas said his father had seen plenty of violence previously, having served more than 30 years as a police officer.

Over those years hes obviously had to put up with a fair bit of brutality, but nothing as a public member of the City of Swan, he said.

Knowing my dad he will just brush it aside and say its just one incident in over 27 years (as a councillor).

But waking up to the news is pretty disappointing as my father just goes to work and does his business for the community.

Having someone want to stand up in front of you and want to smack you over the head with a microphone is pretty poor.

Disgraceful attack unwarranted, says councillor.

Councillor Mark Elliott said the man had indicated he had more to say, and became aggressive when the meeting ended before he was able to finish saying his piece.

Cr Elliot pulled the alleged attacker off the Mayor, who he said was understandably shaken.

Its entirely unwarranted what occurred, and unjustified and disgraceful that its happened in whats meant to be a civic public discussion, Mr Elliott said.

Peoples passions in the room were quite high, its a fairly emotive issue and one which has regrettably attracted an undercurrent in which people think that verbal abuse and defamation are acceptable.

I think when you have a civil discourse that encourages that verbal behaviour, that when it escalates it should give us room to pause and think about whether the tone of debate about certain issues is hitting the mark.

And I dont think it is.

Facebook page pulled down amid threats.

An administrator for the Save Midland Oval Facebook page posted late on Monday night to say she had received threats following the meeting.

I have had to unpublish the Save Midland Oval page as I was receiving copious amounts of threats and angry messages directed at me on the page and on my personal account, she wrote.

Until I have spoken to police, the page will be unpublished.

I hope you can understand that as a 23-year-old woman I dont have the capacity to deal with people making personal threats against me and feel a wee bit unsafe at the moment.

Topics: assault, urban-development-and-planning, local-government, midland-6056.

Sarah Silverman and Joel McHale Talk Politics, Standup and Adapting to the Binge-Watching Model - Duration: 23:48.

They may be the hosts of variety series on streaming services — his looks at popular clips from the world of pop culture under a humorous lens, while hers travels the country to interview those with different backgrounds and points of views than her own — but Joel McHale and Sarah Silverman are still stand-up comedians at heart

That's why, when they sat down with Variety, their conversation quickly diverged into tangents about shared collaborators (they both had projects with Dan Harmon), why after-parties are better when they're in diners than loud, dark spaces, and why Silverman can't watch McHale's show with her dog ("She freaks out when she hears the bleeped noise")

Here, McHale and Silverman talk about shaping the first seasons of "The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale" and "I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman," respectively, what freedoms streaming services gave them, and how their standup influenced their shows

Do you feel like you have to make your content more evergreen to accommodate binge watchers? McHale: We are switching to an all at once [release] because they learned that even though it was coming out every week, people were watching it all at once — which was really easy to do when the first one came out, because there was only one

So we're just going to make the shows as if we're just gathering things every week and hopefully the jokes will be funny

Silverman: For my show, we have both components because the monologue that I do is a little more evergreen, even though it's of this very moment [because] it's really about the symptoms of how we got to this moment in time

And then there will be a cold open [in second season] of that day that we shoot — just me processing new information in real time

It will be just sloppy and dirty. But in terms of how people watch TV … I think there is no appointment TV — across the board

I may watch "This Is Us," but I watch it whenever I'm in the mood to watch "This Is Us" at any given time

McHale: Whenever you need a good cry. Silverman: I'm not going, "Oh it's Tuesday!" McHale: Yeah, I have a 10- and 13-year-old

They don't know — Silverman: You don't know what channels they are [on]. McHale: They don't know any of it

Silverman: So there is a little bit of "this is of right now," but for us, the 10 episodes we did last fall and winter are just as relevant — and in some cases even more relevant — right now

But the truth is, in general — in a sweeping statement — comedy is not evergreen

This is the situation we're all in — for every channel, every network, every streamer

There is no appointment television. As a matter of fact, it is my opinion that network television … those main networks, they spend so much money, they have so much on the line, and there is no appointment television, so if I were them I would just have live sports McHale: Live musicals

Silverman: Live musicals, live shows where you vote in real time for your singer

And everything else, just curate from the other places and get the kick-a– shows that are working other places and rerun them

Because it's just too expensive to exist, I think. I don't know the business side so much, but I think that was smart, what I just said

McHale: I agree! What kind of freedom do you feel you have to talk about the things you want to, the way you want to? Silverman: Have you ever been to Europe and you're on the beach and the girls all have their tits out? I went once with my boyfriend's family, and after a couple of days, I did, too

Seeing his dad — seeing men — you don't feel weird at all there. You feel weird with something on because nobody does

But then the pictures came back when I was home, and he sent me one two years ago from 20 years ago, and it was really weird

McHale: I think what you're saying about the topless thing is if you make it taboo it becomes a thing

Silverman: Right. I grew up in a house where anyone can say anything, so then with TV, we were used to — in America — that you can't swear

But now we're both in formats where you can say whatever you want, and it's odd. I keep thinking about the word "s—

" It's just s— — it only means crap, doody, poop. And all of those words are fine? What makes "s—" taboo? I dare you to have an answer

McHale: There's a great joke in "Infinity War." I am not kidding you. Thor is talking to Star-Lord, and he was like, "We're going to this place," and I can't remember where, so let's just call it Nevado

And he was like, "It's just a made-up word." And Thor was like, "Aren't all words made up?" And I was like, "Holy s—! That was a great joke! And incredibly insightful

" Silverman: Joke? It's blowing my mind! What is the balance you want to strike with how much of yourselves to put in your shows? Silverman: This is corny as f—, but my whole heart and soul is put into this little show on Hulu

… What helps me to be open when I'm with people whose ideologies are so polar-opposite from me, what works in my favor is the thing that's f—ed up with me, which makes me a comedienne — I want people to like me

I want them to love me, and then they do, and then I love them. And that's what happens with them, as well, because as silly or trite as this sounds, we all just want to be loved — or feel loved or feel heard

It's like hecklers. A long time ago I realized there's a subtext to everything a heckler yells out, and it's "I exist — right?" And I feel that with all of us fighting on social media or being so divided, the root of all of it, even up to the top of Donald Trump is "I exist, right?" I think we're having an existential crisis

Boom, follow that. McHale: We found a baby getting baptized in a Greek church, and they just kept shoving it up and down, and for me, I jumped up and down and said, "The world is a great place to be in right now

No matter what anybody says, this is a good time." No, obviously Sarah's show is much more bold, and [she] takes a lot more risks

Just the Westboro Baptist Church lady — that was such a good interview. And we look for silly things to make fart jokes about or to say, "Can you believe this character from 'Love & Hip Hop' hasn't told his fiance about f—ing someone in the hot tub before? Why would you say it into a camera if you didn't want her to find out?" People have asked, "So are you going to think about Trump?" And I'm like, "I don't know if you watched 'The Soup' but we just look for silly things

" Silverman: You showed an "Apprentice" clip a while ago. McHale: Yeah, the show is not what you think it is

But the only reason we came back was because someone watched it. It's not like at the networks where every day you go, "What were the overnights? What were the Nielsens?" Now they just go, "That was fine, thank you

" … But as a comedian I live in constant fear that people won't find me funny, so I hire people that are funnier than me to write jokes and they make me look good, and then they get paid less

Silverman: But I also want to say the mission statement of my show is anything heady — anything with anything to say — has to be wrapped in a big doughy, bready sandwich of aggressively dumb and silly

…That's my favorite kind of humor. If I say something is "so dumb," that's like the biggest compliment

So you don't feel pressure to get political the way late-night hosts have? McHale: I'm not smart enough to do the politics, that's why I stick with reality TV

Silverman: It's just the soap opera I watch. It's not any smarter than that. That's my "GH" right now — "General Hospital

" How do you feel like your standup careers have influenced or prepared you to be the face of these shows? McHale: Well, Sarah has a successful standup career, and I played a Mexican restaurant that was turned into a comedy club that they didn't bother to change from a Mexican restaurant

It's in Indianapolis. Silverman: Yeah, but not recently. McHale: It was two months ago

I called it evil Buca di Beppo. But they were very nice, those people. Silverman: For me, it does

I'm doing standup a lot right now, but I'm really developing the [material] I'm going to put into monologues [on the show]

I'm excited about it, but then they're dead after that. I want people to watch it

You can do something that you're passionate about, that you put your whole heart and soul into, and it will be niche and maybe people will check it out [but] it will never be what you need it to be

And then you fart in a cup and then 10 million people will watch it. You can't control it

What is your shoot schedule? Silverman: We'll write for most of the summer, and when we're writing monologues, we kind of rant and rant and rant and then take it all and make it a kind of cohesive episode

McHale: We have to have time to gather everything. So in six weeks we'll tape over two weeks

We can load up with everything and kind of go, "Here's everything that happened this summer

" So we'll see if it works. If not, do you need people on your show? Silverman: Oh my god, we need a research department

McHale: Does it pay well? Did it feel experimental when you first started the shows? Silverman: There isn't a comparable show

McHale: There are no rules. I was like, "Sweaters and denim, that's it!" So I've worn two denim shirts and the rest have been sweaters

"The Joel McHale Show" kind of does follow the model of "The Soup," though. McHale: I did the show on E! for so long I forgot who I was

No, I loved doing it, but now with no commercials and we don't stop — we just do the show all the way through — it's exhilarating

And I am super dyslexic, so reading the Teleprompter is always a wonderful adventure

… When I first started taping "The Soup" it took me four hours to get through 20 minutes of jokes because I was f—ing them up so much

… You don't get over dyslexia, you just get better at it … so I'm f—ing it up all the time, and I know I'm f—ing it up when I hear the writers laughing in all of the wrong places

It makes me very happy, and then they just start heckling me. [But] I definitely wanted to keep the commercial breaks, and I wanted to keep the revenue from them

Silverman: I felt the same way! On Hulu, I was like, "Let's keep the integrations" and see if they buy in or not

I'd love to be like, "Tampax, shove 'em up ya!" This is what it's brought to you by

Or anything. I love doing ads. I do ads in my mirror all of the time. Do you see a world in which that kind of integration becomes a reality? Silverman: Yeah, I mean I would want to make sure I liked them, but [I'd be open to it] as long as I could make my own script and didn't have to say a slogan

McHale: For Netflix, they just wanted us to keep it short — because we pitched commercials, and they said, "Just keep it to 21 minutes and we'll be happy

" And I said, "How about two minutes!?" But they wanted it to be short and sweet. And we've had some fake commercials throughout it, but streaming services are raking in cash so you can s— on anything

What have you learned from your first batch of episodes that you're taking to heart for the next? Silverman: They always present notes that are like, "These are just suggestions, we are collaborating with you

" And I guess there have been some notes where I've been like, "Pass," but most of their notes I really like and they've inspired me

I learned a long time ago that even the crappiest, s—tiest network note makes your stuff better because it's just another boundary that you have to figure out

McHale: So you've actually gotten good, creative network notes? Or streaming notes? Silverman: Yeah

…The only time it's frustrating is when you don't understand the spirit of the note

You know that they're onto something, and they know they're onto something, but they can't articulate it because they're not just perfect, superhuman people

So you have to kind of figure out the spirit of where that's coming from. And in terms of what you learned personally? Silverman: I learned so much doing my show, so I'm fundamentally changed

My life has changed doing this show, so for me, even if it's in a vacuum in some way, it's incredible

With every interview I've had I've felt moral change. I love Jesuits now — I think I've made like three Jesuit friends

McHale: Have you read that "Tattoos on the Heart" book? By the guy that started Homeboy Industries? Silverman: Oh that's who we had on the show! Father Gregory Boyle

He had a new book out since then. McHale: He's extraordinary. Silverman: He said, "If we don't make peace with our wounds, we'll be tempted to despise the wounded

" I think about it every day, and I see it in myself and so many times. Change is also just about being mindful and learning something and then putting it into use

It's a practice, like anything is a practice. But I really was just so inspired by him — and Christian Picciolini, who was a Nazi skinhead

… For 30 years he's gotten out and helps people leave extremist groups. And he said, "Find someone who does not deserve your compassion and give it to them because that's what happened to me

" And really, that also happened with Megan Phelps-Roper, she was put in charge of social media because [the Westboro Baptist Church] wanted to get the word out, and people, I'm sure, were nasty to her

McHale: When she said it was so weird to see people with different opinions, dear God

Silverman: Because she was born into this. This was all she knew. It was everything she loved

… We are the products of how we were raised. I was luckily raised by a couple liberal, Jewish, Democrat bleeding hearts, but I don't know if I would be who I am if I wasn't raised that way, so I'm always blown away by people who gather new information and are changed, and I want to emulate that

McHale: Well, when we had Father Greg Boyle on "The Joel McHale Show," we had him with Seth Rogen — no

Silverman: Why aren't you addressing social change on your show about reality-show clips? McHale: I feel like we are addressing social change because editing has gotten way better, and the internet has better kind of crazy stuff now

It used to be crazy with the Whitney Houston show with Bobby Brown — all of that stuff is pretty much gone from reality shows now because people went, "This is career-ending for people

" And so this is clearly not as important as what Sarah is saying. Silverman: But they are two different shows that serve big, important purposes — entertainment, laughter

Crazy Cool Inventins - Order: A minimalist watch inspired by New York City by Anicorn Watches - Duration: 2:10.

My name is Homer Smith.

I'm Jesse Reid and. we're the partners that order design in New York City.

We're at graphic design firm and we specialize in branding but we also founded standards

manual which is publishing imprint specializing in graphic design titles.

Jesse and I spent about five or six years working under Michael Burt at pentagram New

York a pentagram.

We were social partners and we worked on a number of big branding campaigns.

I worked on MasterCard.

Jesse got to work with Michael on Hillary Clinton branding.

In 2016 our first title which was a reissue of the New York City Transit Authority graphic

Stan's manual is loosely what inspired us to design this watch.

A big part of that system is the notion of lines in circular icons and it's become an

iconic part of New York City's social fabric really were the watch within a Cohen.

We tried to represent time in its most simple form and for us that meant reducing it to

its graphic form in terms of hours and number of hours.

So we took each hour it's represented by a dot each of those hours added up to 78 dots

or one full day you know it is either when 1 o'clock 2 o'clock or 3 o'clock and then

in 15 intervals past that this watch has no hands.

Instead of hands the face rotates, so your perception of time over 12 hours is so slow

that you actually can't see this watch we're moving it all.

Hopefully this watch kind of takes some of the pressure

off of knowing exactly what minute is or what second and it is and you can just kind of

be and see and kind of hear instead of rushing to the next

thing.

Apart from being just a beautiful time piece we wanted the order watch be a beautiful piece

of design that you could wear.
