5 Signs You Might Have A Stomach Ulcer - Duration: 6:16.

5 Signs You Might Have A Stomach Ulcer.

Even though more than 25 million Americans will suffer from a stomach ulcer at some point

during their lifetime, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you don't

need to put down the jalapeño poppers just yet.

Contrary to popular belief, spicy foods don't cause stomach ulcers.

Neither does stress.

(If you already have an ulcer, however, both can make your symptoms worse.)

"The two main causes of ulcers in the U.S. are a bacterial infection called H. pylori,

and long-term use of aspirin and NSAID painkillers (ibuprofen and naproxen)," says Shipla Ravella,

M.D., gastroenterologist at NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia University Medical Center.

Basically, there's a thick layer of mucus that protects your stomach from digestive

juices, which are hella acidic.

And anytime there's a mucosal drought, the juices eat away at the tissues that line the

stomach, causing an ulcer.

Gah.

Think you might have one?

The primary symptoms to look out for are pretty non-specific (translation: they can be caused

by a variety of conditions besides ulcers), says Ravella, so it's important to check

in with your doc if you ever experience any of the following five issues:

1.

Stomach Pain.

The most common stomach ulcer symptom is, not surprisingly, stomach pain—typically,

a dull, burning sensation in the mid-abdominal area.

"Because ulcers are literally sores in the lining of the stomach or small bowel, pain

classically presents in relation to acid secretion in the intestines," says Rusha Modi, M.D.,

gastroenterologist and assistant professor of clinical medicine at Keck Medical Center

in California.

The pain usually peaks between meals and at night, when acid has been secreted into the

stomach but there's no food to act as a buffer.

Taking antacids can temporarily relieve the pain, but odds are it will keep coming back

until the ulcer is treated by a professional.

2.

Heartburn/Regurgation.

Because the ulcer is being perpetually doused in acid, stomach pain can often be paired

with chronic heartburn and regurgitation (that icky feeling of acid backing up into your

throat).

Other symptoms, such as bloating, burping, or feeling perma-full, may not be far behind,

says Ravella.

If taking an OTC antacid only relieves symptoms temporarily, or they seem to strike no matter

what you eat, you may want to discuss this with your physician.

3.

Nausea/Vomiting.

"Nausea and vomiting are also due to the inflammatory cascade that occurs as a result

of the ulcer's development," says Modi.

The inflammation of the stomach lining itself causes intermittent contractions (cue nausea)—and

if the muscles of the abdominal wall contract with enough force, it can cause full-on vomiting,

says Rudolph Bedford, M.D., gastroenterologist at Providence Saint John's Health Center

in Santa Monica, California.

In some cases, these symptoms strike because the ulcer is causing a blockage in the stomach

and food isn't able to pass easily into the small intestine.

Your doctor can determine the exact cause of the ulcer and, most likely, treat it with

antacid medications—but, if there's evidence of a blockage, you'll be admitted to the

hospital for further treatment, says Modi.

4.

Bloody Vomit or Poop.

Ulcers can bleed and cause vomiting—particularly, vomiting of blood or material that looks like

coffee grounds (which is digested blood that's been sitting in the stomach), says Sophie

Balzora, M.D., gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical

Center.

Your poop may also become black in color, which, again, can be indicative of digested

blood.

"Both are signs that require urgent and emergent medical attention," she says.

5.

Chest/Back Pain.

Pain from a stomach ulcer can travel, radiating to the back or chest.

"If the ulcer has penetrated through the bowel wall, the pain can become more intense,

longer in duration, and harder to alleviate," says Ravella.

Ulcers can also cause perforation (where the lining of the stomach splits open), in which

case you may experience sudden and severe stomach pain that continually gets worse—and

should head to the ER, stat.

If you're not experiencing symptoms that require urgent medical attention, set up a

time to chat with your doctor about the best course of action is.

"If there's a high suspicion for an ulcer, you may be advised to undergo an upper endoscopy

to formally diagnose and treat it accordingly," says Balzora.

Ulcers are primarily treated with acid-lowering medications—and, if H. pylori is detected,

a round of antibiotics.

US House & Senate Agree To Stop Spending Tax Dollars On Sexual Harassment Settlements - Duration: 1:08.

And finally tonight, some good news, the House and the Senate last week finally, finally

reached an agreement on how the two chambers would handle sexual harassment claims against

legislators.

The number one change is that they can no longer use our tax dollars to pay their victims

to stay quiet.

This rule has been over a year in the making and the only reason they had to make the change

was because of a report last year showing that members of Congress had spent more than

$100,000 in tax dollars to settle sexual harassment claims between 2008 and 2012.

Along with the fact that stories were told on air just like this, about the fact that

that kind of thing was going on.

If that information had never been made public, it's likely we would never have gotten the

new rule.

At a time when our infrastructure is crumbling.

Schools, our schools are being underfunded and millions of children are going hungry.

The last thing we need to be spending our tax dollars on are members of Congress who

can't control themselves around women.

Every Royal Marriage Has Its Thorn: Stressful relationship between Meghan Markle and her father - Duration: 14:51.

Every Royal Marriage Has Its Thorn: Meghan Markle's Father Is Hardly the First In-Law to Plague This Family.

It's not always easy being royal, even when you're born into it, groomed for the life from day one and know what is expected of you.

So imagine the trial by fire that constitutes being born decidedly not royal and then joining the family down the road.

Meghan Markle is still in the infancy of her royalty, having just married Prince Harry on May 19,

less than two years after they first met on a blind date.

While her public life for the foreseeable future will be a blur of appearances,

protocol and calculated style decisions, she and Harry have managed to carve out time for themselves,

stealing away to an as-yet undisclosed place in East Africa for a honeymoon and joining forces to combat the mental exhaustion

that's been plaguing them from the Markle side of the family tree.

Yes, the honeymoon period has been uncomfortably shadowed by Meghan's father, Thomas Markle,

who suffered a heart attack barely a week before the wedding, rendering him unable to attend,

and since has been chatting with whomever will listen (a great many people, apparently) about his so-called concerns over his daughter's emotional state.

She looks "terrified," he surmised after looking at photos and videos of Meghan at work

(aka out and about fulfilling her new set of duties as wife of Queen Elizabeth II's rumored favorite grandson).

"Dad, I don't come to your job and judge you!"

At this point, it's hard to imagine that this man was going to be welcome anywhere in the UK in May,

let alone at the royal wedding, inside the chapel.

Add to that Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Markle, who painted an unsparing portrait of her sister before the wedding;

enough to merit an on-air dressing-down from Piers Morgan while he was interviewing her;

and just chimed in on Twitter this week to insist the new Duchess of Sussex quit ignoring their father.

"Act like a humanitarian act like a woman! If our father dies I'm holding you responsible,

Meg! @KensingtonRoyal," Samantha tweeted, per DailyMail.com's screengrabs.

OK, then.

Now, while we've never seen the queen pouring over a mobile looking at tweets,

there's no way any of this is occurring in a "let's not bother granny about this now" fashion.

The 92-year-old monarch is apprised of everything that happens among her sprawling family,

particularly when it pertains to their public image.

And she can't be pleased. Nor can Meghan for that matter.

DailyMail.com, meanwhile, is wondering whether Thomas even had a heart attack,

but was instead trying to save face after it came out days before the wedding that he had posed for staged paparazzi shots.

"He had to come up with a good enough reason not to attend her wedding and avoid any further embarrassment

after those staged photos went public," claimed a source close to Meghan.

Thomas, an Emmy-winning lighting director who had been living a previously quiet life in Mexico,

said he had a stent fitted at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center in San Diego, Calif.

Before the wedding, the royals were chided (in the media, that is) by etiquette experts who felt it wasn't right of them to not send a family representative to see Markle in person.

Among other things, the source added, "Don't feel sorry for him. If anything, feel sorry for Meghan".

Worrying about what your dad might say next certainly isn't any way to spend your newlywed days.

But Meghan, a former commoner, can at least rest a little easier knowing

that her still-commoner relatives aren't the first regular people to prove a thorn in the royals' side.

For starters, a lot of things qualify as an affront in their book, so if it wasn't this, it was going to be something else.

Just ask Kate Middleton and her sister.

Though the world appreciated the view, the royals were none too impressed by Pippa Middleton's attention-grabbing posterior that was;

in Hollywood terms, anyway—barely on display when she served as Kate's maid of honor in 2011.

There was no lingering effect on the sisters' relationship,

Kate probably being the only one who appreciated sharing the spotlight in the middle of the nuptial pressure cooker.

But it was only the beginning of the realization that the royals' proverbial leash extended to the in-laws.

With her sister's college romance really working out, Pippa too became a household name.

Her style, her affinity for sport and charity runs, and her dating life were prime subjects for the parsing—and she wisely struck while the iron was hot.

In 2012 she released a book, Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Family and Friends.

Her byline started appearing in the likes of Vanity Fair and Spectatorand she had her own column,

"Sport and Social," in the Telegraph for about nine months.

She was even rumored in 2012 to be mulling a regular gig as a Today correspondent,

after doing a reporting piece on assignment in America, but the NBC morning show said no such offer had been made.

"She is of course welcome as a guest on Today any time," a show rep told E! News.

It's not as if the lifestyle and event-planning world is the easiest market to break into, even for celebrities,

but rumor had it that it wasn't entirely Pippa's idea to not continue building her brand in favor of focusing more prominently on philanthropic work.

"It was felt by William in particular that she needed some guidance and support," a friend of Pippa's told the Mail on Sunday in 2016.

The reining-in reportedly even included no longer being the face of her parents' party-supply business, Party Pieces.

Another source said that at one point all sorts of offers in fitness, nutrition,

sports and other opportunities in Pippa's wheelhouse were coming in,

but "when it got down to signing off on any of the deals and doing any business, a line was drawn.

Pippa would always say no. She was the one driving it all and then it got to a point where she backed out and nothing would happen.

"Some of us assumed it was the Palace and I think at times it was quite frustrating for Pippa,

because there was never any progression when she wanted things to move forward".

At least Pippa, who's currently pregnant with her first child with husband James Matthews

(whose wild-card brother Spencer Matthews coincidentally dropped out of the reality show Made in Chelsea two years ago),

seems to have since found her niche in the philanthropic world.

Meanwhile, the toning down of Pippa's public profile was said to have been inspired by the desire to not have a repeat of what William's Aunt Sarah Ferguson,

Duchess of York, got up to after her divorce from Prince Andrew.

Her various post-split business endeavors, including becoming a longtime spokeswoman for Weight Watchers

and in 2009 appearing on the real estate reality show The Duchess on the Estate,

certainly upped her celebrity profile but served as a source of annoyance for The Firm,

aka the royal family. (All of this being in addition to the tabloid-friendly toe-licking scandal).

Ferguson getting caught on tape in 2010 negotiating a 500,000-pound fee from a reporter in exchange for access

to her ex-husband is said to have cost her an invitation to Will and Kate's wedding the following year.

Of course, as the mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie,

who's getting married in October, the original Fergie has never been too far from the fold,

and Prince Harry made sure that she was on the guest list to witness his I-dos in May.

Harry perhaps being the queen's favorite, who was she to argue?

It's her husband, Prince Philip, however, who's said to have the real issue with the Duchess of York.

Fergie and Andrew joined the ranks of the happily uncoupled and remained close friends over the years,

which meant the prince wanted her around the family business (of existing and going places, that is) more than your average ex-husband.

The duchess continued to visit the queen's Balmoral estate, for example,

and on a trip there in 2005, a friend of Fergie's told the Daily Express, Philip "avoided her like the plague.

I don't think they spoke a single word all week".

In 2015, also according to the Express, Philip and the queen had just arrived at the annual Royal Ascot

when they met Prince Andrew and his ex-wife coming out of a restaurant in the Royal Enclosure.

Andrew bowed toward his parents and, as Sarah curtsied,

witnesses said that Elizabeth smiled and waved and Philip couldn't even muster a grin for his former daughter-in-law.

While last year it was reported in Ingrid Seward's book My Husband and I:

The Inside Story of Royal Marriage that Prince Philip was the one who, on his last nerve,

furiously told his wife that she must insist Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorce after their years-long separation,

other accounts suggest the Duke of Edinburgh treated his controversial daughter-in-law, who died in 1997,

with empathy after she and Charles split up in 1992. (They didn't divorce till 1996).

In the summer of 1992, Philip wrote Diana letters, the princess' friend Rosa Monckton;

who said she was privy to the correspondence—explained to the Telegraph in 2007.

"I was struck by how kind and compassionate and understanding he was of her circumstances," Monckton said.

He also affectionately signed them "Pa," the Telegraph reported.

None of which is to say that Philip was happy with all of Diana's post-split decisions,

such as her eye-opening 1995 interview with Martin Bashir for the BBC's Panorama,

in which she discussed Charles' affair with Camilla Parker Bowles and admitted to her own infidelity.

But Philip, like the queen, will never be one to go on the record with what he really thinks about the subjects

that have proved most controversial to Britain's royal family over the years.

The queen's storied reaction, or public lack thereof, to Diana's death was not mitigated by the late princess' family,

who let it be known just how shabbily they felt the royals had treated Diana in the final years of her life.

"On behalf of your mother and sisters, I pledge that we, your blood family,

will do all we can to continue the imaginative and loving way in which you were steering these two exceptional young men,

so that their souls are not simply immersed by duty and tradition, but can sing openly as you planned,"

her brother Charles Spencer said in his eulogy at her funeral.

The Guardian called Spencer "a far more gifted moment-seizer than the Windsors have ever produced".

For the record, however, the former Lady Diana Spencer was not really considered a commoner,

but rather was a member of British nobility, before becoming a royal by marrying Charles in 1981.

The future Duchess Camilla of Cornwall, however, was a commoner, though she ran in impressive, royal-inclusive social circles.

And despite all the attention understandably paid to the fallout of Diana and Charles' unprecedentedly messy broken marriage,

it's not as though the queen was in love with Camilla,

whose former husband Andrew Parker Bowles had previously dated the queen's daughter and Charles' sister Princess Anne.

(Camilla's maternal great-grandmother, Alice Keppel, was also a mistress of King Edward VII, the queen's great-grandfather, from 1898 until 1910).

Charles and Camilla were nuts about each other, and perfectly well-suited, personality-wise,

but the future King of England wasn't thinking about marriage yet when they first met

and as Patricia Mountbatten says in Sally Bedell Smith's 2017 biography Prince Charles,

there were "obviously problems" with Camilla.

"You didn't want a past that hung about," said Patricia, a first cousin to Prince Philip.

Maybe not, but by the time Camilla and Charles finally married in 2005, everybody had a past.

"They have come through, and I'm very proud and wish them well,"

the Queen said at the wedding reception she hosted for them at Waterloo Chamber, according to Prince Charles.

"My son is home and dry with the woman he loves".

Every royal coin has two sides, however. Tom Bower's 2018 tome Rebel Prince:

The Power, Passion and Defiance maintains that, while the Queen did indeed make those tender-sounding remarks,

the mother of the groom barely spoke to Camilla at the wedding and spent less than a minute taking photographs.

She also went into a side room to watch a horse race with Camilla's ex-husband.

After Diana died, Bower wrote, the Queen and her mother,

the Queen Mother (who was also named Elizabeth) openly disapproved of Charles and Camilla's relationship,

which in turn prompted Charles to try and maintain a low profile with the love of his life—which subsequently frustrated Camilla.

According to Bower, when Charles finally asked his mother for at least her approval for him to live with Camilla,

the queen refused and referred to the divorcée as "that wicked woman".

At the same time, Charles' mother and grandmother were very kind to Camilla's ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles,

and had no problem receiving him at the various royal residences and other events.

It actually wasn't until the Queen Mother died, in 2002, that Queen Elizabeth II came around. Somewhat.

After Charles proposed in 2005, the Queen still had to grapple with public opinion,

which seemed firmly against the idea of Camilla one day being queen to Charles' king.

According to Bower, to assuage the people, Buckingham Palace referred to Camilla in briefings

as an "unwilling bride" who had no interest in the role—which was not at all the case.

"The best thing about the royal family is that they're so lovely," Mike Tindall, husband of Princess Anne's daughter,

Zara Tindall, told ITV's Good Morning Britain before Meghan and Harry's wedding.

While the former professional rugby player and known appreciator of a good time would seem to be a prime candidate for getting under the queen's skin,

Zara's grandmother doesn't seem to mind that he's quite the talker—mainly about himself and Zara,

of course, as spilling family secrets would be another story altogether.

But still, it appears as though Anne's decision to not give her children royal titles really paid off down the road when it came to not attracting as much ire from the monarchy.

Going by his own experience, Tindall expressed confidence that Prince Harry's future wife would do just fine on her big day, and beyond.

"I think she'll be nervous, but coming from her background in TV she's used to public spotlight," he said.

"Not quite as much probably as has gone on this week,

but she'll be fine and I think she's experienced enough to know that all she can do is enjoy the day.

And it's a special day for them both, and as long as they get a quiet moment during the day

and actually have enjoyed the day that's what I wish for them, and hopefully they'll live happily ever after".

Secret Nintendo Switch Accessories - Duration: 5:11.

- There are a lot of Switch accessories on the market,

tons of them, so many that

it's hard to keep track of them all,

but the thing is, as many things

that are marketed for the Switch there are,

there are so many more things out there

that'll work for the system just fine

while not actually being really meant for it

in the first place, so we're gonna take a look

at some secret Switch accessories.

(uptempo electronic pop music)

To start with, we're gonna take a look

at a classic example of this,

and one that we've talked about a few times in the past,

and that's a tablet stand.

There so many cheap tablet stands on the market

you can grab that'll work perfectly for the Switch

and act as another way to set it up for tabletop mode

because as I have said time and time and time again,

I hate the kickstand on the Switch.

It doesn't do a great job of supporting it.

It's not always the most stable,

and after you've used it a bunch of times,

it just starts to break really, really easily,

so this is gonna give you a way

to have a nice sturdy way of setting up your Switch

when you want to play in tabletop mode,

not to mention it raises it up

and leaves a little section open

so you can actually plug things

into the bottom of the Switch and charge it up

instead of just blocking that port access

from maybe trying sitting it up on its own.

Again, there are tons of these on the internet

that are really cheap to to pick up.

You can get one like this.

It's just a nice straightforward form design,

or you can get one that's also collapsible

so you can get a little more portability.

There are so many to choose from

and they're way cheaper than anything

that's gonna have a Mario or Zelda logo on it.

I'm gonna need you guys to stick with me for a second

on this next one because it's a little weird.

It's kinda dumb, it's a little silly,

but honestly this is a great cheap way

to add a little extra protection to your Switch.

One of the problems that people can run into

is if they're switching their Switch

between the docked and undocked modes really often.

You run the risk of scratching the screen,

because every time you're slamming in it there

and taking it out, if you're not really angling it right,

you can just end up scratching it a little bit,

and that's not something you want to have happen,

so to add a little extra protection,

you get some rubber bands.

I am 100% serious about this.

All you gotta do is take two rubber bands,

put 'em on the outer edges of the Switch

just slightly covering the bezels,

and it's gonna give a little extra spacing

between the screen and the front part of the dock.

You are gonna feel more resistance

when you're putting the Switch into the dock,

so you can't really do it as fluidly or simply,

but that's gonna make sure your screen is nice and safe.

(electronic music)

Now at the start of this scene,

you might have some questions.

Specifically, what is Kevin wearing, and why?

Well, this is a beanie, and I wear it for reasons

that I'm never going to explain to you guys.

As for the next product on our list,

this is a tablet holder that's designed

just to work with a variety of different smaller tablets

and the usual idea is it's so you can

watch a TV show or something on it

while keeping your hands free and staying mobile,

but for the Switch, it is a revolution

in how to play games on the go.

Now, normally, if you want to walk around

and play your Switch at the same time,

you have to keep it in handheld mode

and that requires you to be in a very specific setup

and it can kinda feel cramped

and just over time not super-comfortable.

With this, though, you're gonna be able to play the Switch,

see it at the same time and keep your hands free

just to have two Joy-Cons freeform

or use other controllers if you like,

like a Switch Pro Controller.

Now, will you look completely ridiculous doing this?

Yes, I am not going to lie to you.

Is it comfortable?

Yes. By the way, if you're wondering about the Switch

we're using in today's video,

this is actually a skin I got

thanks to today's sponsor, dbrand.

They have a whole line of Switch skins

that are totally safe to use on the Switch itself,

on the Joy-Cons or even for the Dock.

There's a large variety of different colors

and designs to choose from.

Right now I'm really in a big Spider-Man mood

after seeing the latest movie,

so I went for a red and blue look right now.

There's a whole lot of choices out there.

If you want to take a look, check out the link down below.

One of the accessories we're talking about a lot this year

is Bluetooth adapters, and the big one for the Switch

is the GENKI, which is an excellent awesome choice.

However, it's not exactly super-easily available right now.

You can place orders, but it takes some time,

and it's just trying to get out to everyone,

so if you're really impatient

and just want a wireless solution

for your Switch right away,

there are a lot of Bluetooth adapters

that plug right into an aux cord that work perfectly fine.

One example we have right here

is the AirFly from Twelve South.

This just plugs into the aux port of the Switch.

It's gonna give it Bluetooth compatibility.

It supports aptX, so if you have aptX headphones,

you're gonna get that low latency, which is so important.

Otherwise, you're still gonna get great quality audio.

The reason why we're talking about this one in particular

is that while there are a lot

of different Bluetooth adapter options out there

aside from obviously the GENKI like we've talked about,

a lot of the cheaper choices out there

are actually cheap, not in the good way.

Like, they feel very flimsy.

They don't look great, it's not very stable.

This is something that's gonna plug into the Switch

and it's nice and sturdy and just really looks good, too.

Now you might notice that a lot of items on this list

have one thing in common, and that's tablets.

Look, the fact that the Switch is very similarly shaped

to common tablets means there's a lot of

really useful stands and holders

that are designed to work with that shape,

and this next item is another great example of this.

Now you might be wondering what actually this is.

This is actually a tablet stand

that attaches to the headrest of a car

so that way you can set up a little screen

in the backseat area. This makes it so that instead of

trying to steady yourself in the backseat

holding onto a Switch or if you're trying

to share with someone or go back and forth,

you can just set up one screen in the back,

and that way people can play multiplayer.

You just have one screen to look at,

and it just generally allows you

to be a little more comfortable in the car

not trying to find the right way to hold the Switch

and not get carsick at the same time.

Capturing Morocco with photographer Bastiaan Woudt - Duration: 25:34.

I think that art becomes valuable to someone if it touches you.

If you look at something...

...you can get touched and you don't even need to know why.

It could be three lines on a piece of paper and when you look at it you suddenly think...

'This is so beautiful'

...or you think 'I want to look at it more often'

'I want to be touched by it more often'.

I think that's the essence of art.

And that you can enjoy the beautiful things and that it touches you,

and that you want to keep it with you, you know.

We are in Morocco because I won a prize through the Van Vlissingen Art Foundation.

Every year they name an artist as 'artist of the year',

and as a prize the artist is allowed to go on a journey of inspiration to a nice destination...

...where they are able to create new work.

I want to take everything in and see where it brings me.

I have a few elements that have been brought together here:

the country, the way of transport,

my camera equipment...

...and myself.

And we mix up all of that and...

yeah, I hope, and also think beautiful things will arise from this.

I'm not really into prizes, but this isn't just a prize.

It's actually a grant that enables you to set up that project.

An exposition, a book, a journey,

those are quite some things.

And of course every artist is jealous of those things,

and especially photographers who know what a large investment it is...

...to be able to complete such a project.

Especially with an exposition, with printing, framing.

It's very expensive and Bastiaan was granted that opportunity.

It took us about four hours with the car...

...to get to El Jadidha.

It really took a while to get the right feeling.

I think I need to get over my apprehension to be able to photograph the first people here.

I keep finding it difficult.

You see, in The Netherlands it feels safe as I photograph people in a studio where I direct everything.

When travelling that's different.

It's a challenge, but it's something that needs to develop.

Yeah...

For my pictures it's important not to smile, just look.

Usually I know within two seconds whether I want to photograph someone or not.

I chose to photograph the two men who were sitting there...

...to help me take the first step.

And I didn't immediately feel like they were interesting subjects for my work.

Like I said before, this is the man that came and sat down on the same terrace.

He sat down with his cigarette.

When I saw him sitting there, I thought...

...I need to photograph him.

Such a face full of character.

Yeah, for me everything feels right about this portrait.

At that moment everything just goes and everything feels right.

Within two seconds I know I want to photograph that person,

the conversation feels right and goes well, and the person who is being photographed...

...is open to it and understands it.

At these moments everything comes together and a picture is taken that I'm very pleased with.

It's very easy to photograph something that's photogenic,

because nowadays everybody with an Iphone can snap a nice picture.

And Morocco is so photogenic that it's a pitfall to only take pictures of the clichés.

And how can you transform a cliché into something special.

And thats's what he does, and that's how you recognize his style and his signature.

To abstract, almost bringing graphic design into a picture,

bringing clarity into the picture, that's what he's good at.

You won't see a lot of chaotic pictures from him.

Or the chaos becomes a bigger whole and it comes back to the graphic design.

So it's the simplicity of an image through which you recognize his style.

[Yes, we begin in Marrakesh and we end in Marrakesh so... just a circle.]

[Yeah]

[It's nice, yeah...]

[So eh...]

<i>[It's wonderful.]</i>

                                                  [Yeah.]

[Is it possible if I make a portrait of you?]

[Is it ok with you?]

[Because I think it's great to have like a conversation and then have a memory of it by a picture.]

[Yes]

[Maybe look at me?]

[Beautiful, thank you so much.]

<i>[Very welcome]</i>

[I'll give you my card. You have e-mail?]

Last night I really had a moment that, well....

...I found myself worrying about the fact that I wasn't taking many photographs here,

because there aren't too many opportunities to take a photograph, and...

...I then worry whether I'm making enough portraits,

...and whether I'm even happy with what I make.

I was going through my work and I kept thinking that I need to take more photos.,

but I think more will come now.

We're now going to places where the scenery is going to play a bigger part.

I feel like I didn't even take one landscape photo yet.

I'm starting to see more of the graphics of this country and that's...

...that's really something I was waiting for, you know.

Some sort of emptiness.

Yeah, I find that interesting.

I have expectations about the work that I am going to make.

When I'm in The Netherlands I have certain expectations and ideas about my work and I know what I'm good at.

And I have some sort of idea about what I think is beautiful, and...

...I'm trying to find that here but that's very difficult.

I don't know the area, I don't know the customs, the culture...

...I don't know the language, that is definitely a barrier.

It might be naïf to think that I can make exactly what I want to make here.

Yesterday was a good example. I had an expectation of the city, the old Medina...

...and I was completely overwhelmed by the size of it.

I've been told that there's 9600 streets and we've been wandering around for a couple of hours,

and it's really like an anthill. There's something happening on every square centimeter.

And while I was walking there I really enjoyed the moment, it's an amazing experience,

but when it came down to the photography, I completely shut down.

Well, Bastiaan is a real go-getter you know.

When he doesn't feel comfortable in such a city and he can't produce the amount of work that he would like,

-he does have the eagerness and energy-

then he either panics or it hurts him in such a way,

of which I think, maybe that's exactly what you need.

I think that maybe he needs the panic to realise that he needs to go back to what he's good at.

So then you escape the craziness of the city and go to the countryside.

Or you start looking for it in a courtyard or somewhere else where you can find it.

When I'm walking through the Medina and I find myself shutting down in the middle of this chaos,

and everyone wants something from you and you can't find a quiet place for yourself to create some work,

Then... then... it can really get me down.

It doesn't work, things ain't going well...

You know, I've never had a fear of failure in my life, but at those moments it almost seems like it.

At those moments you just feel like it's not working.

<i>In a certain way that's kind of confronting right?</i> <i>When you...</i>

Yes, I need a certain...

...certain...

...mindset, but also a situation to be able to function well.

If that's not there, then I can get really moody.

Or I can get... for example when I watch a documentary about another photographer, especially street photographers,

who do all these things so easily, I can get a little jealous, you know.

But on the other hand, that's who they are, they're someone else.

And I am... me, and I'm doing it my way.

A good example is that later that day we were driving through the hills,

where it was completely empty and nobody else was around,

until we stopped by a herd of sheep with a shepherd.

And I stepped out of the car and I noticed that the shepherd started walking away...

...until at one point I got a little closer and asked if I could take a photo.

The shepherd was almost proud, you know, and stood there with his hand on his hip...

                          ...really posing for me.

                              At that moment...

I felt like I had the peace of mind.

There was nobody else around me. I can only talk to him, or maybe give him directions,

and then suddenly it works.

So for me personally that's an affirmation; I need peace, but also some feeling of security to be able to do that.

By moving away from the hustle and bustle to find something simple, he's embracing his own signature and his own style.

And he didn't have that two years ago, so that's how fast it can happen.

He did make it then, but he wasn't conscious of it.

The nice thing about it is, searching for the hustle of Morocco in a city like that,

with all the alleyways and all the sounds and smells, and all those influences, really took him right out of his comfort zone.

Within the context outside of your comfort zone, you can focus more on your strengths.

As he had recognized his strengths, he managed to save himself from the situation.

[two hundred and fifty-eight]

The expectations of photography here are very difficult here,

because this are the sand dunes, and these sand dunes  have been photographed probably ten million times before.

You can keep on taking photos of them, but I was looking for something else.

I was looking for more movement in the picture instead of the still picture of the sand dunes that everyone already knows.

I was actually looking for movement, for camels, for people.

I think I've managed to do it. I don't think I was expecting to photograph the sand dunes here.

because, like I said before, that's already been done so many times and I wanted to do something different.

The main thing about myself that I saw confirmed -and actually I knew it already, but this time it definitely got confirmed-

...is that I really hold on to a certain way of working.

I need some sort of quietness in the situation that I am working in.

Besides the situation...          160 00:20:20,640 --> 00:20:26,680 ...for example, if I approach someone on the street and I don't think the situation is suitable,

-and I'm not talking about the background because there are thousands of beautiful walls here that are excellent as a backdrop-

I'm talking about all the people and chaos around.

That just doesn't fit with my way of working and maybe I just wasn't born to be a street photographer.

I'm not the sort of person to just approach someone and ask them if I can take a photo, I find that difficult.

When it's about creating work, and I want to achieve something, then that doesn't work.

You could say it's a way of working or maybe it's character, I wouldn't know.

This is my favourite combination. I can really see Bastiaan Woudt in this one.

The simplicity, the graphics of the image, the contrast. Everything that makes a real Bastiaan Woudt, is in this image.

The moment that he embraced his own signature and style, he knew what his strength was.

And I've told him once before 'You're very good with people. Whether that's someone in the studio or someone in the street...'

'...you're always able to capture the characteristics or the mere beauty of the person'.

'But you're also very good at still pictures, whether that's a pot or a pan that you find on a street in Morocco...'

...or an African mask or a beautiful vase'.

In a certain way, he treats it in the same way as a portrait.

And the third line in his work, are the still landscape portraits.

Because it really is a portrait of the landscape.

And also withing his landscapes he's looking for the stillness or clarity.

Whether that's a group of sand dunes, or an island, or one tree in a landscape,

he's always looking for the peace and stillness in a picture.

And the combination of these three: stills, portraits and the landscapes, together they make Bastiaan Woudt.

Because of all this he will create an oeuvre -that hopefully will entail more far destinations-

which you'll always be able to recognise as his work.

The Maximus Cryptobot Cryptocurrency Trading - Why I Like Currency Pairs! (Live) - Duration: 8:30.

hi guys! what's going on? FAYSAL here and today I'm trading with

the MAXIMUS CRYPTOBOT signals but don't forget to Like and subscribe to

our channel and support us. so let's begin trading. activating hyper and

let's see if there is any strong signal. okay ETH/USD suggests 99 percent

confidence factor. beautiful chart. it suggests a SELL signal.

okay it is a cryptocurrency. Ethereum and then go for

like $200 and for one minute is okay. the trade is executed as you can see here.

but the cryptocurrency payout is very poor in the broker platform. I am using

BINARYCENT and you can see that on the investment of $200 the return

will be $100 if I win. so it's like 50%

profit whether the currency pair offers are 85%. well

$100 payout is not that bad but in comparison cryptocurrency payout

is low. I just won the trade as you can see the result. 300 US dollar.

so yeah! I will trade one more I guess. okay.

Wow! EUR/USD suggests a CALL signal and 100% confidence factor. so let's see.

the price has risen already. so I'll go for

$300 and for like 3 minutes. okay CALL. we have to be very quick when

you execute trade in turbo trading. so

that's why when it showed that EUR/USD hundred percent win probability

then I did not check the chart because if I was wasting time

checking the chart then I could not get into the trade.

okay so $300 and three minutes. so let's see what happens in these three minutes.

we have been trading with the MAXIMUS CRYPTO BOT for like one year from now

and we have withdrawn our money a couple of times. we have three accounts with

them. three Forex account as you can see. we have VIP Crypto, Universe markets and

KAYA Fx. so those three are reputed and hassle free brokers.

so you can join if you want. I am putting a secured link in the description so you

might visit their official page and if you find it beneficial for you then you

may try this.

getting a good strike price is very important when you trade turbo. so wait

for a better entry price when you place a trade and in this case it was a

CALL signal. so I tried to get a good strike price that means I placed the

trade from a lower point. let's see what happens.

we are almost heading to the expiration line. but it's a TIE

trade as you can see the result is $300. so let's see the CLOSED Trades.

yeah you see.

no! no! I just Won the trade although it shows three hundred dollar payout!

two micro pip difference as you can see here between the strike

price and expiry price! so yeah! so both trades are winners as you can see. my

first trade was ETHEREUM and investment was $200. the outcome was

$100. and then EUR/USD for 3 minute trade and investment was $300 and

the payout was $210. so in total $310

in just couple of minutes. so I will stop trading here and stay tuned for more

videos and updates. don't forget to support us by liking and sharing our

videos. until then I'm out!

hey guys welcome back to my channel if you're new here I'm Lizzy and today we

are doing the 24-hour handcuff challenge to my boyfriend so basically what it is

is I'm gonna handcuff myself to him cause I kinda feel like we haven't been

spending enough time together so this will be the perfect way to spend time

together because he will have no other choice

what's up guys so I thought I was doing something really special for Liz so I

got to this little gift here and I want to show you what this is and I told this

to come over to hang out today and I want to surprise her with this like this

little gift that I got it's super cute I think she's gonna love it but let me

know what you guys think let me know if you think that Liz if liz is actually

gonna like this or not so it comes in this little bag like this it's got a

little like card and it comes in a little cute little blue box and then you

open it up just like that check it out guys it's like a little golden ring and

it's got a big heart and a little heart not a big heart and this would be a

little harder okay let's go inside and see where he's at

harder oh I think she's here okay let's go back together gotta hide this

somewhere Oh coming somebody's opening

what you doing today nothing well I'm here okay what are you hiding

nothing what are you hiding nothing what do you mean nothing um let's go over

there okay you go first you go first okay well good together together okay

together mmm yeah a present for you uh-huh yeah yeah

let's hide your back what's behind your back I don't know

hey don't look I can't see you now

nothing

no peeking oh okay yeah that's what okay close your eyes okay close em okay

they're closed okay hold my hand where is your hand okay gotcha

what do you mean what is that it's a handcuff give handcuffs um yeah

no we can hang out together who's the active what anyway I have to

cuz we're handcuffed to each other for 24 hours I mean 24 hours

how'd you get these off these real handcuffs I have keys for lousy keys Hey

those aren't the only set of keys that you have wherever you are

what do you mean good job milli cuz now it could be stuck together forever

forever yeah uh-uh Millie Millie would you put the keys

baby hurry them you think she buried him in the backyard mm-hmm

tweet Milli do you think we shouldn't look for them Oh

maybe we should just spend time and have a lot of fun together

oh I guess I do have a gift for you oh he do you yeah what is it

do you want to see it yeah take a little present why do you know why like why me

know why it's just kind of random no it's not it's because it's our two-week

anniversary it's I think is there more than that okay three-week anniversary

it's been like a month okay one-month anniversary yeah I don't

know but it's just I got you something special yeah I want to see it okay come

on let's go find it guys do you think that liz is gonna like it or not I don't

know okay sit right there sir okay um and I'll go get it

okay good now give me this hand following me all right this is kind of

hard cuz I'm a hand cooked okay I got it

okay three two one open oh it's so cute yeah what do you think

well I can't open it just yeah oh it's a romance heart yes

so sweet love is the greatest virtue of all it is although at the root of all

good things all humans thrive in a loving environment and whenever love is

in the equation happiness results whoa oh this is so cute it's so pretty it's

like a bigger and a little heart that's you and that's me yes and I was thinking

should I try it on yeah see if it actually fits it fits perfectly

yeah how did you know my ring size well I just got the smaller size they have in

the store typically tiny fingers huh yeah look how small your finger is

compared to mine your finger is pretty oh yeah I guess your hand is so low hey

I want to read the card like quietly don't show anyone what I wrote in the

card what wait okay so it's a 9.95 sterling silver with 14 karat

gold-plated ring oh my god she sounds expensive

Thanks yay now can we find the key and unhung

handcuff ourselves um no because I don't know where the key is

yeah well we gotta go find it but I want to spend time together

okay and then we can find the key yeah sure okay come on let's go on a date

Wow haha it was so much fun you have a good time mm-hmm it's kind of weird cuz

people were staring at us funny yeah I think the art waiter thought something

was like wrong because of the hair cups that we tried to hide it yeah you're

doing well I know lots of film in there so it's okay

but you know I had a good time but I think it's we need to find that key now

been holding it for like a while now yeah I gotta go but I can't cuz I'm

stuck to you yeah okay let's go find the keys because I don't know where they

backyard I think sure yeah probably hasn't buy our toys out here here's our

little tennis ball but if she come over this way oh I see yeah you do yeah it's

they look she was let her sniff it ready luck sniff okay

now go find the keys go what's that Milly

uh-uh why are you over here don't drink the water what do you think it looks

like the key but it's not a stick Oh Billy what are you doing in the water

oh honey what is it

oh no Milly caramely Noah Liz it's okay we'll find it we can find the key or

maybe we can use like a lockpick set and we can hop yeah do you know how to pick

a lock no oh I'm sorry my plan backfired just

keeps going to the water right there yeah you're right wait what is that

Oh what is that is that the key and he gets the kiya I think that's why she

kept going towards the water water again so just looking at it

Millie is that where you dropped the key Millie how did you drop it all the way

over there you dropped it in the pool Millie just like your toy she dropped

looked really looking over there uh how are we gonna get it out I think

that is the key I think I can reach it Liz I think if I go in I can reach it

Irlanda | Celebrando las navidades - Duration: 5:59.

Christmas for us, Latin Americans, represents a time of family union,

of reconciliation, brotherhood, children have fun, and we receive many gifts ...

but ... how is Christmas here in Ireland?

In this video I'll tell you a little more about my experience with Christmas here in Ireland.

Sharing my experiences

with all the people

that as well as me

are embracing a new journey.

Welcome to my channel.

Hi guys, I'm Frankie and welcome once again to my channel.

And as you can see, here I have my little Christmas tree, it's small but it's cute

and I'll be talking about Christmas here in Ireland.

They are a little different if compared to Latin America or at least to Venezuela.

The most shocking or the weirdest thing is that we, Latin Americans,

we celebrate the Christmas of December 24th

but here in Ireland, December 24th is a normal day ... people work and Christmas is celebrated on the 25th,

Yes, the 25th... and the 26th is also a bank holiday.

So, that's the first thing we have to pay attention to...

that we celebrate on the 24th, and they on December 25th ... a little weird, right?

I do not know about you but in Venezuela the 24th is important but December 31st is more important

here is the other way aroud.

Here in Ireland, the 25th is when people meet with their family and it matters more than December 31st

then it is something that we have to consider.

And as you know, in the month of December here in Ireland it's a bit cold ... I think it's very cold,

It's windy, it always rains and even though people go to party or

they go out to have dinner or lunch with their families, it is very different from what we do in Venezuela

Maybe it's because of the weather, I do not know, but here it's a bit more relaxed...

It's like what we see in the movies.

Fireworks: no

Because here in Ireland, I mentioned it in one of my previous videos,

the fireworks are illegal.

There are people who go to Northern Ireland, they buy fireworks there, and they bring them here to Ireland

but they are illegal anyway

and it is very unlikely that you will see fireworks during December

either on the 24th or the 31st for the new year's Eve, but you are unlikely to see it.

And what do the Irish eat here during the Christmas dinner?

Well, obviously, in every country everything is different and here in Ireland you usually eat roast turkey,

You can also find roasted goose, with roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes,

Vegetables and a sauce... gravy sauce (which is a thick sauce)

You can also find flavored ham in some dishes. It's very typical.

And for dessert you can find something called 'Mince Pie'

which is like a 'Pie' ... yes, a 'Pie' with fruits inside and it is very delicious.

then they usually put cream on top of it and it's very nice,

there are some people who do not like it but I do

pity that I do not have an example here to show you... because I ate them all.

Since Ireland has become a multicultural country,

you won't find this kind of food in every house.

You can find different cultures, you can find different types of food ... depending on the family.

So, the most traditional dish is that one: the roasted turkey.

Generally, Christmas here in Dublin is beautiful, there are always decorations on the streets,

more than everything in the city center, there are some performances in the river that crosses the city,

and people go out...they do go out, have fun ... go out with their friends, with their families

and it's a bit cold.

It is unlikely that you will find snow on the 24th... in December.

I've never seen snow during Christmas since I've been here

and as I understand it, Christmas officially ends on January 6th

and to my surprise when I arrived here, they don't celebrate the "Three Wise Men"

I do not know if in your country they do it, but we do it in Venezuela

and in Spain and some other countries in Latin America,

but not here, then you only receive a gift and it would be December 25th, not 24th, remember it.

Something that I was going to forget to say,

You know that in Venezuela, we celebrate Christmas on December 24th

and usually in Caracas (I'm from Caracas) we go to the beach the next day, that is to say the 25 ...

because we are in a tropical area, it is sunny, etcetera, etcetera.

Here in Ireland, although it's cold, one of the traditions is going to the beach

and go swimming. I mean, I do not know how they do it, I've never done it, obviously

because the water is very cold

but at Christmas ... yes, people go swimming and it's a tradition.

And if you are in Ireland or you have planned to come to Ireland in the next Christmas

Then maybe your Irish friends will encourage you to swimming in that cold water.

And well guys, I hope this Christmas you are having a good time,

regardless of where you are and I hope you are sharing with all your family

and with all your friends.
