Lots happened but I'm okay - Duration: 6:54.

Hey everyone, I'm Lauren Elloise (in case you forgot, I hope you didn't) but I really

missed you guys. I hope you're all well. It's summer in Australia right now and

it's like 30-something degrees in this shed so it's really hot. Oh yeah, new

background. I'm in a new– I'm in my granny flat! I wanted to do like a little

catch-up video for you today. I know it's not like required for me to make an

explanation of where I've been but I think you guys would appreciate that

just so like we know. There are some things I need to address. Before we start

I want to let you know that I am so grateful for 10,000. Oh my god, thank you

so much. If you don't watch to the end I'll just say what the main thing that has

happened is: I'm grieving. I look happy when I say that. I'm going through some

shit man. It's really hard but we're getting there. So... all of my rats have

passed away. Two of them I lost earlier this year and I spent a good amount of

time grieving. At the same time I was doing a lot of extra stuff outside of

work (like an idiot). I didn't realise at the time that I was burning out. I was

doing umpiring, I was freelancing, I was just doing way too much. And Natalie had

to say like "Lauren you got to stop doing something. This is just– it's not

acceptable to be doing this much stuff." So I burnt out. I was feeling a lot of

pressure to not only do these things outside of work but also to create

videos. You would have seen I did a Rat Care 101 series. I was really pushing

myself to make that so good, and it worked because a lot of people found me through

those, but um it just wasn't making me happy and I needed to take a step back.

At the same time I wasn't seeing Natalie very often because she was studying and

I was doing all of the outside of work stuff and that made me sad as well. But

then I was ready to come back. Around August, I filmed like a video where I was

like "Yeah guys, I missed you, I'm ready to come back, let's do this!" and then two or

three more shit things happened. Basically I lost clove. She

passed away I had to take her to the vet to say goodbye because I knew it was her

time. I'm still grieving that honestly. I've also been grieving the loss of my

relationship. I'm not in a relationship anymore and I don't really want to share

in depth why. That's between me and Natalie but um we're on good terms. I

still respect her. I expect you guys to respect her and me. I know a lot of you

won't say any crap stuff but I just want to make sure you don't do that. I'm

trying to keep it light but it hurts and anyone who's gone through a breakup

would know how much it hurts. It just hurts a lot more because she wasn't just

my partner, she was also my best friend. I am trying so hard to heal. I've

actually been reading– My good friend Phoebe recommended me this book. It

explains the each stage of being abandoned. It also explains like

biologically what's going on in your head with like hormones and chemicals.

Read it. Whilst I was suffering the loss of my rat and loss of my partner, my

parents went on holidays for two weeks and I was left in the house completely

alone and I hit rock bottom, to be honest. That's the worst I've ever felt in my

life. That's the worst I'm probably ever gonna feel in my life. I had to say to my

friends like "Hey, please can I come over and have dinner with you guys and can

you come here to have dinner with me because I can't be left alone." And that

was really hard to reach out to people to tell them that I was struggling. But

if you're my friend and you're watching this, please message

me, let's hang out. I really need to get out. I'm just trying to keep myself busy.

Slowly but surely we're getting out of that real bottom and I don't know. I just

got to keep pushing forward. Just keep going. I really wanted to say thank you

to everyone who messaged me during that time because it means so much to me like–

To have people who care about me that deeply, I can't, I can't explain it. I also

moved out into my granny flat so now I'm here alone. That was really, really hard

to adjust to at first but I'm actually loving it. It's so good. I'm gonna do a

like room tour for sure. Okay? So watching out for that.

So with the remainder of this video I wanted to it like address a few things

that I think you will ask. And also kind of set some boundaries. But I think you guys

want to know if like I'm back. Like back-back. I'm gonna take it really

slow because I am still depressed but um she back! I also think you're gonna ask

what's gonna happen with my old videos because I'm not in a relationship

anymore and I put it online (and I know that was dumb)

but we both are still comfortable with the ones that we have online so. It just

shows the journey of my life, I think. I've been seeing my therapist. I wanted

to include that in there. It's so important, if you ever go through

something like this you've got to talk to a professional.

It helps so much. I think you'll also ask will I be posting any more rat videos.

I won't be posting ones with rats in them because I don't have rats anymore

but there is a video I did make for Clove's second birthday. I want to edit

that and post that so I will. So you will definitely see that. I just want to wait

a little bit longer because it hurts to watch film back. I think there might be

some comments like "What happened between you and Nat, who did what, what happened etc"

and that's got to be a boundary. I'm not sharing that online, okay? I'm

heartbroken, that's all you need to know. As always if you do have any questions,

are well. I've seriously missed you guys. It's weird because I know we don't know each

5 Tricks to Optimize Your #1 Fat Burning Hormone LEPTIN (Anyone OVER 40) - Duration: 6:57.

Hey there, how's it going today?

My name is Shaun Hadsall.

I'm a 47-year-old stubborn fat expert

with over 20-plus years in the health and fitness industry.

I'm an online best selling e-book author

for both diet and exercise.

And I specialize in helping people over 35 years old--

people who are in their 40s, 50s, and 60s--

optimize declining hormones to help them

quickly lose more stubborn fat.

Now, inside this video, I'm going

to talk about an important, crucial hormone

that you need to pay attention to as you get older.

And that is the hormone leptin.

In particular I'm going to talk about a few things that

will suppress your leptin sensitivity.

And I'm also going to give you five ways

to optimize leptin sensitivity to help you burn more fat

and keep your hormones optimized and balanced properly.

Now, the first thing that you need to understand

is, what is leptin?

A lot of people have heard of it,

but they don't understand what it is.

And putting it in simple terms and dumbing down the science,

leptin is simply the hormone that

tells your brain and your body whether or not

you should burn fat, or whether or not you should store fat.

This is why many people in the scientific and nutrition

community call leptin the master fat-burning hormone.

Now a couple of things that can kill leptin sensitivity

are, number one, sugar, which is not surprising.

Everybody knows that sugar is terrible for you,

and can practically kill you if you abuse it.

Avoid inflammation, which I'll talk

about how to reduce that in just a second,

because too much inflammation suppresses leptin levels.

Avoid too much steady-state cardio.

Research shows that people who do too much steady-state cardio

suppress T4 to T3 conversion in your thyroid.

Now, this can indirectly suppress leptin sensitivity,

because all these hormones tie in together.

Now, if you want to improve leptin sensitivity--

and this is very, very critical for your success,

because when leptin levels are low,

it makes it nearly impossible for the body

to access fat as a fuel source.

So here are five quick, down and dirty natural ways

that you can use to optimize leptin sensitivity.

The first one is to simply eat more protein.

Research shows that an improved leptin sensitivity--

and by the way, I will put the research studies that

substantiate any claims that I make in this video

either below in the comments or in the description

of this video.

So I'll post the study showing that eating more protein

improves leptin sensitivity.

And you should be eating more protein anyway,

because the more protein you give your body,

the more calories you burn.

And it increases metabolic rate through the thermic effect.

You see, your body burns more calories digesting protein

than it does carbs or fat.

So therefore, it indirectly increases metabolic rate,

not to mention it helps you prevent

muscle loss as you get older.

That's a scary condition known as sarcopenia.

So eat more protein.

Try to get a protein source in every single meal.

Second strategy that can optimize leptin sensitivity

is to get seven to eight hours of sleep.

Now, I know this is obvious, kindergarten first-base stuff.

But research shows that people who don't get adequate sleep

have suppressed leptin levels.

Number three is eat anti-inflammatory foods.

Like we said, inflammation can lead

to suppressed leptin levels.

So by eating avocados, cruciferous veggies,

cacao power, fatty fish, which has

a lot of omega 3 fatty acids--

these anti-inflammatory foods can help you

optimize leptin sensitivity.

Number four is to maintain stable insulin levels.

Now remember, when you elevate insulin levels chronically

throughout the day, it keeps the body

in an environment where it can't access fat as a fuel source,

because insulin is known as a storage hormone.

So when it's elevated, it makes it impossible for the body

to access fat as a fuel source.

And it can also suppress leptin levels.

So the main way that you can stabilize insulin levels

is, number one, try to fast for 12 to 14 hours a day,

five days of the week.

So if you eat your last meal at 8:00 PM,

try to wait till 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM the next day.

If you're a guy, you can extend this out to 16 hours,

if you want.

But just trying to fast at least 12 hours a day or longer,

four or five days of the week, can

have a remarkable effect on your insulin levels and your insulin

sensitivity.

Also, balancing your meals-- so making sure

that you never eat a starchy carb or a ripe fruit

or any type of sugar by itself.

Always, always, always balance out your carbs with protein

and a cruciferous veggie.

And again, this will help stabilize insulin levels

to keep the body in a fat-burning environment

and optimize leptin sensitivity.

Number five is to eat post-workout carbs.

You see, calorie deficits are one of the main things that

can suppress leptin levels.

In fact, New York Times did an article

on a study that was published about season 16 reality TV show

that was a body transformation show.

I'm sure you're familiar with it.

I'm not going to say the name of it.

But all 16 contestants several years after the show

gained all or more of their weight back.

And when they did a study on them,

it showed they had metabolic slowdown

and their leptin levels had plummeted to nearly zero.

So extreme calorie deficits are not the way to go.

Now, if you want to keep the body in a calorie deficit

consistently and optimize leptin sensitivity,

just have some post-workout carbs

after your exercise sessions.

Or if you're not going to exercise,

have at least one high-carb cheat meal per week.

See, after just five to seven days of low carb dieting,

leptin levels can plummet dramatically.

By having a cheat meal or having carbs post-workout,

this will help reset those leptin levels.

Now, the final strategy is to use

the 12-minute metabolic protocol that you'll

find at the link somewhere around this video.

Now, this 12 minute metabolic protocol

is specifically designed for the hormonal condition of people

in their 40s, 50s, or 60s.

And it can elevate growth hormone levels

400 all the way up to 771%.

But most importantly, research shows that when you do these

12-minute protocols in a fasted state--

so either in the morning, in an empty stomach,

or about two to four hours after a meal,

going in a fasted state--

research shows that it will reset your leptin levels.

Now, they get a study-- side by side study-- on this.

And the people who consume glucose or carbs

before this high-intensity exercise burst

did not have their leptin levels reset.

So it's important that you use this 12-minute metabolic

protocol in a fasted state.

Not only does it have these amazing leptin resetting

effects, like I mentioned, it can increase growth hormone

production.

It can also increase your metabolic rate

for 38 to 48 hours afterward.

Drew Lock NFL Draft: Missouri QB Could Be a 1st Rounder | Heavy.com

Missouri quarterback Drew Lock has a chance to go high in the 2019 NFL draft.

In our latest mock draft, we have Lock being selected with the No.

7 pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Giants and Jaguars are the teams picking inside the top 10 most likely to select a quarterback.

We have quarterbacks being taken at picks No.

6 and No.

7 with the Giants taking Dwayne Haskins just before Lock.

Prior to the season, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah compared Lock to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

It is important to note this was before Mahomes had a historic season.

"I see a lot of similarities to Patrick Mahomes when he was coming out of Texas Tech," Jeremiah explained.

"Both guys have big arms and move around really well.

They can extend plays with their athleticism and fit balls into tiny windows.

However, like Mahomes, Lock needs to be more judicious with the football and cut down on the mistakes that are a result of overaggressiveness.".

Lock Has a Chance to Be Selected in the 1st Round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

There is not a consensus on where Lock will be selected.

Lock has the prototypical size that NFL scouts tend to love at 6'4″ and 225 pounds.

Lock's numbers regressed this season compared to what he did in 2017.

Lock threw for 3,964 yards, 44 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 2017.

For his senior season, Lock threw for 3,125 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Justin Herbert heading back to Oregon should help the draft stock of Lock and the other quarterbacks in this class.

Lock has an opportunity to make a great impression on NFL scouts and coaches during the Senior Bowl week in Mobile.

Haskins is expected to be the top quarterback selected in April if the Buckeyes quarterback declares.

This means Lock will likely be fighting with other quarterbacks like Will Grier and Daniel Jones to be the next signal caller to hear his name called.

After entering the season as the No.

1 quarterback on ESPN's Todd McShay's board, Lock's draft stock has taken a bit of a hit.

McShay now has Lock ranked as his No.

4 quarterback and No.

49 overall prospect.

NFL talent evaluators are questioning his consistency at Missouri.

"He's one of the more talented quarterbacks in this class and should go in the first couple rounds," one NFL evaluator told ESPN.

"He is capable of looking like an NFL starter but has just been inconsistent in terms of his accuracy and his decision-making.

Somebody will like him because he has all the physical tools.

Playing in more of a pro-style offense this year will help him.

He might need some development, but he has more upside than most of these other guys.".

Lock still has time to boost his draft stock which is why we have him going inside the top 10.

Lock has the Senior Bowl, his pro day plus the NFL combine to prove he should be the second quarterback taken in the draft after Haskins.

How do People read online by Navigator Academy - Duration: 2:37.

The F-Pattern, also known as "The F-Shaped Scanning Pattern" is an approach that

people take to reading on the web. We observed that people reading this way

during eye tracking research; during which technology were used to see what

people are focusing on, and what are they looking at as they read on the web.

In action, the F pattern appears to look like a letter, F. So, a person begins

reading on the left-hand side of the column of text, and as they read they

moved to the right then they move back to the left and then when they moved to

the right they will read a little bit less and as they moved back to the left

and read a little bit less.

It ends up appearing to be the capital letter F, roughly.

We also see the F-pattern on mobile devices, but it's smaller.

In languages where people read from left to right, like Arabic, we also see the

F-pattern but it's reversed.

So why does the F-pattern happens?

It happens because people are trying to minimize the work that they need to do

and maximize the benefit they get from that work.

For eye tracking that means that are trying to economize on the number of focus that they do on a page and learn the

can and should be avoided
