10+ Surprising Facts About Belgium Army - Duration: 10:50.

In my last two videos about Belgium

I've not only looked at the great things about the country and learned some interesting facts about it

But I've also looked at how powerful this country is in terms of military and to dive further into understanding the defensive

Capabilities of Belgium we look at one of the oldest main

Components of the entire Armed Forces and that is the land component known strictly as the army what's going on guys?

Welcome to FTD Facts

My name is Dave Walpole and welcome to channel where I look at people cultures and places and yeah

Of course military's from all around the world now. It's first time here and you like learn about militaries. Boom

You want to hit that subscribe button because that's what I do here on top of that me

I'm just I'm really excited to talk about Belgium and its

actual army because for me looked at a lot of different armies from Europe and Belgium

It's kind of a new one on the block. They've only been around since like 1830

So just cuz they don't have a lot of history doesn't mean that's a bad thing and I'm excited to learn about that

So with that in mind guys, let's break down the facts and let's get right into talking about these guys

So like I said the Belgium army, it's been around not for a long time officially beginning in October of 1830

Now you may be wondering your subsequent. Whoa, wait Dave, man

Why are they why are they so late and some of you guys from Belgium made me go whoa, Dave

No, man, that's not true. They've been around for a much longer time before that

That is true

As a matter of fact, the area of Belgium has had an army and Armed Forces for quite a long time

But the actual country itself Belgium didn't come around till like 1830 and that is when they got their very own

Army, now theoretically the army itself has two names which is known as the land component, which is more common in the Dutch tongue

But for the French Willona inside, they also call it composit ter, and I'm not gonna lie guys

I don't know if that really screwed up my French

I am Canadian and we're supposed to have french-canadian and that's how we would say. It called pissant ter. Hopefully, that's right

I don't know if that's how they say it in Wallonia

But however before 1945 the Belgium army was strictly known as the Belgium army

And it wasn't until after that it got the renamed to land component

so for this video

I'm gonna dive into some of the history because I'm not just gonna look at what the Army is like today because we've got to

Understand where they came from to understand what they're all about today. And with that we're going boom all the way back to

1830 guys the beginning of Belgium

hmm because the first real major land force unit was the Belgian paramilitary unit known as the guards Civic and

Unfortunately this unit existed only until about 1914 when it was demobilized from the German invasion of Belgium

However, the group itself was officially round until about 1920 when it became

Decommissioned that's partially due to the fact that they were like this unit did not do good against fighting off the Germans now

So we're gonna rename it and do a whole new unit

however

Truth be told a Belgian Army had actually existed in the country before and these guys were known as the Belgian

Legion and as a matter of fact the Belgian Legion has pretty much a history dating back to at least

1782 in which throughout history, it's served not only for the French but also the Austrian Netherlands governments

however

By the years of the 19th and 20th century

Belgium had become a very neutral country and because of that the army was classified more as a defensive force rather than a giant

Offensive army, and however, I should also mention that around the time of 1830 when it first began

They say that there was approximately 20,000 troops that were a part of the army itself

but however

Let's be perfectly honest that all changed in 1868 when the army was like, but we need to introduce

Conscription and this was majorly due to the fact that Belgium had become involved in what is known as the franco-prussian war

And also I should mention that there was a rather famous group in the army of Belgium around this time

And that was the Corps expedition air belch or the Belgian Expeditionary Force and these guys believe it or not

They served in Mexico

but only for a really short amount of time because they were around from 1864 to

1867 in which afterwards they returned home and officially the unit was closed down and

Interesting enough to know when it comes to the army of Belgium believe it or not

They've also been involved in Congo and in 1905 they were also in China which to me

I thought was really interesting because it showed that you know Belgium at such a young

Time, I mean think about it 1830 and it's 1905 involved in China

It's been a part of international operations from the get-go. That's pretty awesome

However, their involvement in worldwide operations was about to get a lot bigger because World War one was right around the corner

By the way guys before I get into the whole world war one thing and continuing to learn more about what happened in the 20th

Century I just wanna let you guys know just so you know, a lot of you guys are probably here

You may be from Belgium itself

That's usually what happens in our videos and you guys are wanting to know more about military forces in Belgium

Well, first of all guys, I got a really awesome

Belgian military playlist it's all about, you know military in Belgium

You guys can click it right here, but don't leave the video just yet

also put it at the end and in the description box below if you want to check it out that being said if you just

Want to learn more about Belgium on itself. Maybe you're from that country. We want to know what's great about it

You can also check this playlist here

It's got some cool videos just about Belgium and what's good about it

But it's talking about World War one now on the eve of World War one

It was said that Belgium had approximately 19 infantry units 10 cavalry units and 8 artillery units

however in August of 1914 Germany had invaded Belgium, however

Unfortunately for Belgium by the end of that year pretty much

Germany had overrun the entire country and hey that country was occupied and it was said during the entire

Invasion of World War one there was roughly

600,000 to

750,000 German troops against approximately

115 thousand to

220,000 Belgian troops now after of course World War one had ended Belgium had become its own country yet again and

Military was still a very important thing because they didn't want anything to happen again

right after World War 1 and with that in mind by the year of 1926 the army itself had a size of

350,000 troops and by the beginning of World War two following the immediate invasion of Poland the Belgian King mobilized the military

resulting in it having a size of

550,000 to

600,000 troops

Unfortunately in May of 1940 along with many other countries within Europe Germany pretty much invaded Belgium yet again

however

not let's be real Belgium did not stop there just because they were invaded did not mean they did not give up the fight as

A matter of fact a lot of units managed to flee the country

And start their own groups to continue to fight the Germans with the Allied countries

Matter of fact it's been stated that 163 Belgian troops managed to evacuate in the Dunkirk evacuation

Alone, and some of these units for example the first Belgian Infantry Brigade and as well the 10 commando unit and the 5th Special

Service which was an airborne troop that was under the British SAS

Were units that all had Belgians within them or were completely all of Belgian descent now moving a little bit forward

We know World War two came to an end Belgium became its own self governed country again

The Germans were gone

and the Cold War was just around the corner or actually the Cold War was happening and believe it or not during this time the

Belgium land component supplied troops for the defense of West Germany and this mission was given to the first Belgian Corps

Within it. There was the 1st Infantry Division and the 16th mechanised division as well

But of course nowadays things are a little bit different. You don't have the Cold War anymore

So let's talk about today's forces, which may be a lot more reduced than they were at the height of the Cold War button

Hey, there's not as much combat for example in today's world

They say the land component, which is the largest arm of the Defense Forces at least in terms of troop numbers

They got a lot of soldiers in it has an estimated size of approximately

12,000 military personnel and approximately 2,000 civilian personnel in which all of these are under the commander of Major General

Mark this and with that the structure of the army. It is broken up into five different sections

for example

There is combat command support

Services and training and with these five different sections and all these troops the land component also operates out of two major

bases one down south in March on femmine

which is in the province of Luxembourg not to be confused with the country and that base is

Famous for light infantry units and the second which is home to the motorized. Brigade is located in the north in Leopold's burg

I also should mention that the motorized Brigade is a rather new brigade that formed in 2011

however

It basically evolved out of the independent Belgian brigade

Which has been around since 1943 and within the entire land component

It breaks down into five major infantry battalions

And it also has a Special Forces Group and an immediate reaction cell known as the IRC in which that group has one

parachute and commando battalion

Also, did you know that the Belgian Army does not use any tanks as a matter of fact?

It's a rather new thing that got rid of tanks and they wanted more wheeled vehicles

And with that their heaviest vehicle is the Parana

3c which is an armored fighting vehicle and they have approximately two hundred and sixty eight of them

They also use the pander ones which is an armoured personnel carrier as for handhelds when it comes to machine guns

They use the FN is e and the FN p90 for assault rifles. They use the FN NFC and the FN

mm and many different versions of scars

snipers they use the accuracy international art of warfare and the Bret

M107 a one and a scar version of the sniper rifle for light machine guns

They also use the FN minimi and the FN m AG and last but not least

I should just mention that the Belgium army is going through a major modernization program

They're trying to give new equipment and new body armor to these soldiers in which they estimate that's gonna be around

2030

Overall the entire land component has approximately 35 units trained and ready for any operation. That is thrown at them

But thanks for watching guys. My name's Dave WAPA

And this is all the information that I could gather on the Belgian Armed Forces or the army the land component. It's so hard

I got to remind myself to say land component all the time when I talk about the Armed Forces

We're talking about the land component just the land component. That's it

but however

guys

hope you like this video also before you get out of here at the end of this video in the description box below if you

The Road to Success Is Found in The WORD of God - Duration: 24:11.

JEROME: I said, "You hit my son in your truck," and he bowed his

head and started saying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." And my

son stood up in the wheelchair and said,

"I just want you to know I forgive you."

(singing) I know my God has made the way for

me. I know my God has made the way for me.

JEREMY PEARSONS: Hello, everybody. Welcome

to The Believer's Voice, a Victory broadcast.

I'm Jeremy Pearsons. You know, over the next few

days, 2018 is drawing to a close, and we're about to go

into a brand new year. And for many people right now, they're

looking back. Others may be looking forward, setting some

goals. But as born-again believers, what are we supposed

to be looking at? The word of God, because His word is final

authority in our lives. His word is his bond and you and I can

trust him to do what he says because God has given his name,

he's given us his authority, he's given us the blood of

Jesus, the Holy Spirit. He's even given us angels and all of

this to ensure our success. Today I want you to get your

Bible, I want you to join Brother Copeland, and

learn the biblical model for success. Watch this.

KENNETH: Would you open your bibles, 2

Chronicles Chapter 20. Now, I want you to keep

an eye for the word praise. "It came to pass after this

also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and

with other beside the Ammonites against Jehoshaphat to battle.

There came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There

cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this

side of Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar." Did you get

that? "Hazazontamar, which is Engedi. "Jehoshaphat feared, and

set himself to seek the Lord." That's what you do when you're

afraid. You don't put up with the fear, you set yourself to

seek God. "And proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. Judah

gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord; even out

of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and

Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court, and

said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and

rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in

thine hand there is not power and might, so that none is able

to withstand thee?" Now that's praise. Amen. He's not just

praying. Do you notice what he's doing? He's praising God. He

hadn't asked for help yet. He started off praising him. "Art

not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of

this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the

seed of Abraham thy friend for ever? They dwelt therein, and

have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

if, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or

pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy

presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee

in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. And now,

behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom

thou wouldst not let Israel invade, when they came out of

the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed

them not; Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast

us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit."

"O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might

against this great company that cometh against us; neither know

we what to do: but our eyes are on you." This is what happened.

This is what you do when you get into financial difficulties.

This is what you do when you're deep in debt and don't know how

to get out. Praise God, this is what you do. This is what you do

when you got plenty of money. This is what you do. Amen. "Then

upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benanaiah,

the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons

of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the

congregation." Now, when the Spirit of the Lord comes in the

midst of the congregation, something is about to happen. He

always comes, particularly when you start bagging on him, and

you start praising him, and you start telling him how big he is

and how wonderful he is. And he start telling him, "You're not

going to let that happen to us, are you?" Oh, yeah, he shows up.

That a good place to say amen right there. Hallelujah. "And he

said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and

thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not

afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the

battle is not yours, but God's." Be not afraid of this thing

that's attacked your household. Be not afraid of this sickness

or this disease. Huh? Don't be being afraid of that. No. Even

though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear

no evil. Why? Because, our God is the biggest thing in the

valley. There ain't nothing in that valley to be afraid of.

Besides that, the shadow of a dog never bit anybody. It's the

shadow of death. Glory to God. Thank you, Lord. Thank you,

Lord. "Tomorrow you down against them: behold, they come

up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of

the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel. You shall not need to

fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and

see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem:

fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them:

for the Lord will be with you. Jehoshaphat bowed his head with

his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of

Jerusalem fell before the Lord, worshiping the Lord." You see

it? You see it? They feel before him worshiping the Lord. "And

the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the

children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of

Israel with a loud voice on high." Boy, there's a lot of

praising going on here. "And they rose early in the morning,

and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they

went forth." Watch, there's a spot that the Lord wanted you to

see tonight. "Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and

ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so

shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall

you prosper." Now, listen. I don't know how long and how many

times I read this, I thought God told them to appoint singers.

How many of you thought that? Well, where's the rest of you

raising your hand? The rest of you just sat there and lied,

that's all. Look, no, when he had consulted the people, they

decided to do this. They made the decision. I tell you, that's

a thrill. "When he had consulted with the people, he appointed

singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of his

holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say,

Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth forever." Say it,

praise the Lord, for his mercy endures forever. Again, praise

the Lord for his mercy endures forever. Oh, man. Glory to God.

"And when they began to sing and to praise," the Lord God went

into action. Oh, Lord, I never thought of that. Could be that

Paul and Silas, but particularly Paul, a Bible scholar, could be

he had this on his heart and mind in that dungeon in that

night in Philippi? Huh? Yeah. Why, sure. Amen. He must have

because the Lord dropped that in me. I never had that thought

before just a moment ago. "When they begin to sing and to

praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Ammon,

Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they

were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up

against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and

destroy them." Amen. The devil hadn't got any sense. If he had

any sense, he'd had known he couldn't overthrow God. That's

stupid, brother. "And when they had made an end of the

inhabitants." They made and end of them. You see that? They made

an end of them. They weren't none of them left. "Every one

helped to destroy another. And when Judah came." Man, I tell

you, the joy of the Lord is all over me. "And when Judah came

toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the

multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the

earth, and none escaped. When Jehoshaphat and his people came

to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in

abundance both riches with dead bodies, and precious jewels,

which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could

carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil,

it was so much." Now, I have a question. I want to know why

these idiots brought all their money to battle. That's a hard

one to figure. Well, we need to take all our jewelry with us.

Oh, yeah, we need to take it with us because somebody is

liable to steal it. This is what you do. This is a 100%

guaranteed model for success right there. Right there. How

much more powerful is it today when we are filled with the Holy

Spirit? Hallelujah. Don't discount your angels. Hebrews

chapter 1, quickly. We're not saying enough about this. We're

not talking about this enough. We're not studying about it

enough. First chapter, verse 13, "But to which of the angels said

he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies

thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth

to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" Whoa.

We're not talking about this enough. Are you commanding your

ministering spirit? I didn't know I had one. Jesus said,

talking about these little children, that their angels are

ever before the face of the Father. Well, you don't lose

your angels just because you grow up. Amen. Ministering

spirits. Amen. Say it, ministering spirits sent forth

to minister for me. Now, they are, of course, spirit beings.

They don't have authority to work on their own. You're the

one with the name. You're the one with the authority. Now, you

know good and well the Apostle Paul proved in his writings that

asking God to get the devil off of you won't work. Amen. No,

there's nowhere in there that says to pray and God will get

the devil off of you. It says you cast him out. You have

authority. You have the name. Well, that name doesn't cover

just the bad side, it covers the good side. Amen. It covers the

good side. This is exciting stuff, now. Oh, hallelujah. I

first began to learn it from Brother Hagin when the Lord told

him, said, "Quit praying about money. Don't come asking me for

money." He said, "All the money is down there." He said, "First,

bind the devil. Establish the amount." We're supposed to have

money. We're supposed to prosper. We're not supposed to

be in debt, we're supposed to be strong. We're supposed to be in

good health all the time. All the time because there's many a

lot of sick, broke people out there. Hallelujah. Well, you

gotta, what we read in 2 Chronicles 20 tonight, follow

the model. Did you hear me? Follow the model. And Jesus told

Brother Hagin, he said, "I'm not holding back on you, it's the

devil that's holding back on you." He said, "Bind him and

then put a faith claim on the amount. And then, command your

ministering spirits to go get it." Bind the devil. Lay hold by

faith what you need and what you desire.

JEROME: My name is Pastor Jerome Lewis. I pastor Seeds of

Greatness Bible Church in New Castle, Delaware, along with my

wife Lisa Lewis. Along with having graduated from Rhema,

they have healing school there on the campus. One of the things

we have been doing for nine years on Tuesday and Thursday

from 12, noon, to 1:00, we have healing school. LISA: Our son

was working part-time at our church at that season. As his

responsibility, he would oversee healing school from the AV

standpoint. At that point we were showing Keith Moore's

series on victory over death. Every Tuesday and Thursday our

son would set up the video, he would sit there. He's watching

as well as everybody who was in the class. On May 5, 2013, our

son ... we left church that Sunday and later ... he had went

off with one of his friends, left his car at the church and

went back to the church to pick up his car that evening. JEROME:

We get a phone call, it was a female on the other end and she

said to me, "Do you have a son named Jerome Lewis?" I said,

"Yes." She said, "He's been in a horrible accident. He's still

breathing. Get here as fast as you can." We get in the car and

as we're driving to where the accident was- LISA: About two

miles from our house. JEROME: ... I said to Lisa when we were

in the car, I said, "Honey, I don't know, we're going to see."

I said, "But we will not fear." Well, when we pulled up on the

scene, what we saw, it was like nothing we've ever seen before.

He was still in the car when we got there. LISA: Paramedics were

trying to ... using the jaws of life to cut the top off to get

him out of the car. JEROME: Well, evidently, he was riding,

coming home from church and a red pickup Dodge Ram was coming

down the wrong side of the road with a drunken drive in the car

with his girlfriend and a two-year-old in the back seat.

He was coming down the wrong side of the road, hit our son

head on. His Dodge Ram, the paramedics said, used our son's

car as a ramp. He was driving a Jetta. The hood of our son's car

was on top of his sunroof and the Dodge Ram flipped over. Now,

the people in truck were fine. Our son was still in the car

when we got there. I got close enough to see him and I said,

"Jay, this is your dad." I didn't whisper it, I didn't care

who heard it, I said at the top of my lungs, I said, "Jay, this

is your dad. I want you to know that you have a covenant with

God." He hollered, "Dad, dad." He broke out praying in the

spirit, praying in other tongues. I said, "You're going

to be all right. You've got a covenant with God." They had a

white sheet up and I stood behind it to look around it to

make sure he was good. We went to the hospital and got there.

He had a torn meniscus, had some contusions on his lungs, he had

a broken wrist and his hand was messed. Was his wrist broken?

LISA: Yeah, a slight fracture. JEROME: A slight fracture in his

wrist. LISA: Other than that- JEROME: Other than that he went

in on a Sunday night and he came home on a Tuesday. He was fine.

LISA: Just two days in the hospital. JEROME: The thing that

I think really spoke to his maturity was that when we found

out the guy who hit him in the truck was two floor beneath us,

he said, "Dad, I want to go see him." I take my son down in the

wheelchair to see the gentleman. I go into his room and I said,

"Is this so and so in this room? And he said, "Yes." He said,

"Who wants to know?" I said, "You hit my son in your truck."

He bowed his head and started saying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

My son stood up in the wheelchair and said, "I just

want you to know I forgive you." We prayed for his son and prayed

for his girlfriend when we were in the room. We are able to

leave him in a place of not being guilty. We were just

thankful to God because I believe that if it was any other

way it could have been a very tragic situation. But our

covenant promises us life. One of things, we made a decision,

my wife and I before we ever had kids, we made a decision that

based off of the word of God, the word of God says, I think

it's Deuteronomy 30:19, "I said before you this day, life and

death, blessing and cursing, choose life that both you and

your seed will live." We made that choice for our kids before

they were ever born. We would always tell them, we want you to

know that we've chosen life for you. I believe that that was a

result of that choice we made before they were here. LISA:

Many of these teachings, these principles that we taught our

family, that we live by, we've learned from Kenneth Copeland

Ministries. We owe a tremendous debt to this ministry because

it really saved our lives in so many ways and

we're grateful. JEROME: We are grateful.

ANNOUNCER: We hope you enjoyed today's teaching from Kenneth

Copeland Ministries. And remember Jesus is Lord.

저는 한국여자와 연애하고 싶지 않습니다 - Duration: 2:12.

The reason I do not want to have a relationship with a Korean woman

It is Korean relationship culture.

My ex-girlfriend was a good person.

Now I think she laughs well When I was sick,

He was such a nice person.

But even if she is a good person

As a woman, we can see the women's

I take it for granted.

I gave her a piece of my act to get out of that culture.

When I was a newcomer at work (army)

I was so busy that I could not touch my cell phone.

She is busy working on her cell phone, but she

"Why are there fewer contacts?"

"Do not you think that your mind is far away because you are far away?"

I was more psychologically oppressed.

I say, "I can not afford to use a cell phone while I work."

"I do not have time to go to the bathroom."

Solving such a physiological need Even time tells me to write for myself

I really hated his attitude.

I did not like men's loathing because men do not understand the context and background of not resting in the bathroom during business hours.

This relationship lasted for half a year

Eventually, each other's heart broke apart.

The relationship culture of Korea is It's like a princess.

As it is now, since feminism has prevailed,

Female dominated relationship cultures

Boyfriends girlfriend in front of the bathroom Waiting for a bag

A picture of a boyfriend baking meat at a kotatsu

On the anniversary, a man prepares an event

A woman must be glad A man is a joyful day

When I fought each other, I was a man. Attitude to give to a woman

These male-hateful cultures are There are many.

But until now as a boyfriend Benevolent

Behavior is a big problem between lovers I do not think it is.

I can do enough for you.

First of all, I will do that. Because they wanted to.

So just like my princess I wanted to give you a big heart.

I do not think the mind and the act are wrong.

But he did not do that.

I have only lost my temper to a bad woman.

So I do not want to have a relationship with a Korean woman.

No matter how good a woman is in her heart

In the end, in the male-dominated relationship culture

I will not be able to escape.

Someone can tell me that you're a "freak".

Someone might sympathize.

So the comments are highly anticipated.

You can blame me for spoiling me.

You can sympathize.

That's what every feminist should get in the end It's the current gaze.

If the things I've just said are stalemate

How much do they hate You know for yourself that you're a freak.

If you get the coordinates I am looking forward to what you will say

Please, please.

To the ones that Dare to be Free | Freeletics - Duration: 1:21.

Freedom…

Freedom has nothing to do with idols.

It's not about recognition, great deeds, fame, or victory.

It's not about owning, following, or leading.

And it sure as hell isn't about things.

Freedom doesn't have wheels, stripes, or a limited edition.

Like a force of nature. It can't be contained…

just unleashed...

by those with the courage to defy time.

To brave darkness. And ride the storm.

By the crazy ones that make a way, from no way.

That have less. And do more.

Again. And again. And again.

Freedom is no place. No prize. No promise.

It's a choice, made by the few that dare.

Dare To Be Free.

'Last Liverpool title chasers cracked under pressure — this side thrives on it' - Duration: 6:13.

At the final whistle, Jurgen Klopp leapt to his feet, marched over to the Kop and thumped his chest in delight

The noise and excitement inside Anfield was overwhelming and the sense of anticipation grew among fans who believe that, finally, this will be their year

It is only going to get stronger with every passing week but, while pressure makes some teams crumble, Liverpool rose to Saturday night's occasion against Arsenal and embraced it

WIN £25,000 for FREE with Footie5 - click here to play  Klopp's side were fantastic

They played with pace, power and great belief and did not let their heads drop when the visitors had the audacity to take an unexpected lead

They need not have worried, of course, because Arsenal's defence willingly parted and let them score goals for fun

But this match was all about Liverpool, who showed they are ready to carry the fight and are not in the least bit intimidated at having the extra pressure of being leaders

Pep Guardiola tried to use mind games this week by insisting it is tougher to be the hunted rather than the hunters

If the Manchester City boss thought that would work on Klopp then he was sadly mistaken

So many managers shy away from talking up their title chances, preferring instead to play it down so the players do not lose focus

Not Klopp.  Instead, he talked up Liverpool in his pre-match message, talked up his players and challenged them to "play the best season of their lives"

Read More Jurgen Klopp hails "big step" in Liverpool's bid to secure Premier League title  This was their response

The players are thriving on Klopp's man-management and are clearly loving every moment

There was not a hint of fear as they stormed forward and stared down Arsenal. They had far too much for Unai Emery's men, who wilted and meekly surrendered

The Liverpool of Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez crumbled at the final hurdle in 2014

This is undoubtedly their best chance of winning the title since then, and Klopp has instilled an inner strength and belief that looks ready to carry them all of the way

Roberto Firmino scored an unforgettable hat-trick – made all the easier by some Sunday League-standard defending – and Liverpool will take some stopping

A few weeks ago, they were miles behind City's goal difference. After putting five past Arsenal here, now they are ahead

These Reds are fearsome going forward and the visitors could not live with them

No sooner had Ainsley Maitland-Niles put Arsenal ahead after nine minutes than Liverpool replied in the best fashion

Firmino scored two in 90 seconds – between the 14th and 16th minutes – with the first of them highlighting Arsenal's woeful defending as Stephan Lichtsteiner's botched clearance hit Shkodran Mustafi to put it on a plate for the Brazilian

Firmino ran through a defence which parted like the Red Sea – or in this case a horrible light-green one, in keeping with their away kit – to let him score with ease

Sadio Mane and Mo Salah were the other beneficiariesof the Gunners' kamikaze defending

It was reminiscent of the dog days of Arsene Wenger's reign, and shows just how much work Emery has got in front of him

But it has taken Klopp more than three years to turn Liverpool into a team capable of sustaining a serious title challenge — and they must feel now that their patience is about to pay off

Premier League table: Every team ranked by squad value – Man Utd lose worth in shock list - Duration: 5:47.

Manchester United players have lost value in the transfer market after suffering their worst-ever start to a Premier League season under Jose Mourinho

The Red Devils were languishing down in sixth, 19 points behind leaders Liverpool when Mourinho was sacked on December 18

**PREDICT FIVE RESULTS AND WIN £25,000 - FREE TO PLAY HERE** The Portuguese boss had spent £400million on players since his arrival in Manchester, but a lack of progress led executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to swing the axe

The Old Trafford club have since won both of their matches comfortably under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

However, a woeful start to the season has negatively impacted the worth of the squad ahead of the January transfer window

According to Transfermarkt (via OddsMonkey), the Red Devils squad is now valued at £696

60m, 9.5 per cent less than the £769.50m evaluation following the summer transfer window

Poor on-field performances from high-profile names such as Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku are sure to have depreciated their value, while the struggles of Alexis Sanchez will not have helped the overall worth of the roster

On the other hand, Liverpool are unbeaten in the Premier League and have seen their player values skyrocket

The squad is still not the most expensive in the top flight, with Manchester City's worth estimated at being over £1billion

The biggest rise in squad value came for Bournemouth who saw their values move up by more than a quarter to nearly £150m

The Cherries have just one win in their past five but a lightening fast start has greatly increase the prices Eddie Howe could demand if he was to sell his star men

Wolves are also big risers after their impressive return to the Premier League while the likes of Southampton and Burnley have lost value

Michael Owen praises Liverpool after victory over Arsenal - Duration: 2:01.

Michael Owen hailed the unity displayed by Liverpool after the club completed a thrilling 5-1 win over Arsenal at Anfield

Roberto Firmino hit a hat-trick, while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were also on target during a victory that took the Merseyside club nine points clear at the top of the Premier League

And ex-Liverpool star Owen believes the fans have a team that they can be proud of after another swashbuckling display

Speaking on BT Sport, Owen said: 'I've never known the fans to be so proud of their team, the manager, everything connected with this club, for a long long time

'I get so excited in the car coming to Anfield because you know you're going to be entertained

'Arsenal are a great team, but it's very simple for them at the moment.' Owen's fellow pundit Martin Keown also backed Liverpool - who had fallen behind early to Ainsley Maitland-Niles' goal - to be successful in their title charge

He also pinpointed the league leaders' clash against Manchester City at the Etihad on January 3 as the last chance for the reigning league champions to salvage their stuttering season

Keown said: 'There's about 18 games left, if they keep doing what they're doing

They only need to win 15 of those. 'It can be done. Huge game against Manchester City coming up, and they need to rescue their season, City, in that game

Jalen Hurts' Transfer: Where Will Bama QB Play in 2019? | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:56.

Jalen Hurts' Transfer: Where Will Bama QB Play in 2019? | Heavy.com

Transfer rumors continue to follow Jalen Hurts, but the Alabama quarterback recently noted that there is no guarantee he will not be in Tuscaloosa next season.

Heading into Alabama's matchup with Oklahoma, Hurts declined to elaborate on whether he would transfer, but did note it is not something that he has decided.

"I'm worried about Oklahoma" Hurts said per Saturday Down South.

"My story's far from over.

We'll see what's up next for me…I've never said anything about transferring.

Those words have never came out of my mouth.

Those have always been kind of assumptions.".

It makes sense for Hurts to shoot down transfer rumors leading up to their College Football Playoff matchup, but that does not necessarily mean Hurts will be back.

Here is the latest news on Hurts' potential destination in 2019.

Maryland, Ohio State & UCLA Among Potential Transfer Options for Jalen Hurts.

ESPN reported in September that Hurts was on pace to graduate in December.

If this is the case, Hurts would be in play to be a graduate transfer, meaning he would be immediately eligible to play in 2019 instead of having to sit out a season after transferring.

Yahoo Sports reported Hurts could follow former Alabama offensive coordinator Mike Locksley to Maryland.

Yahoo also listed UCLA, Ohio State and FAU as potential options.

The Alabama quarterback has a 26-2 record as a starter, which is good enough to get you a statue built at most schools.

His spot duty to save Alabama in the SEC title game reminded everyone of his dual-threat ability and dynamism.

The most popular speculation spot is Maryland, where he'd follow offensive coordinator Mike Locksley.

In terms of scheme, UCLA looms as the most logical fit.

In terms of familiarity, he could go to FAU where he'd be aligned to thrive again under former Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.

Ohio State could loom as a possibility considering Day's work in Haskins' lone season as a starter.

Regardless, with Alabama heavily favored to play for the national title on Jan.

7, it will be a quick turnaround for Hurts to find his next home.

Hurts Admitted to Crying in His Parents' Arms After the National Championship Game.

Hurts lost the Alabama quarterback job during the 2018 national title game, and he was not able to beat out Tua Tagovailoa this offseason.

When Tagovailoa went down in the SEC championship, Hurts took advantage of the opportunity and helped lead the Crimson Tide to victory.

"It's been a long year," Hurts said per AL.com.

"I can look back after the national championship game.

I'm in the hotel room with my parents, my brother and my sister.

And I'm in my parent's — my mom's and dad's — arms crying.

I look up at my dad and said 'What are we going to do now?' He told me, he looked me in my eyes and said, 'We are going to fight.' I've been fighting for a year, not knowing what the result would be.

Competing, keeping faith and God was with me yesterday.".

ESPN listed Auburn, Houston, Texas and West Virginia as some of the other potential landing spots for Hurts.

The rumors will heat up even more in the offseason after the College Football Playoff games.

Liverpool and Arsenal players in stunning tunnel bust-up as sparks fly at Anfield - PICS - Duration: 4:43.

In the 45th minute, Salah skipped into the box and got past Sokratis. The defender tried to win the ball back but appeared to clip Salah and brought him down from behind

**PREDICT FIVE RESULTS AND WIN £25,000 - FREE TO PLAY HERE** Referee Michael Oliver awarded a penalty and Salah made no mistake from the spot

Sokratis was furious with the decision and when the whistle was blown on the half approached Salah

Salah brushed off the Arsenal player but Sokratis refused to stop and the protestations continued as the players went down the tunnel

And footage showed Sokratis and Virgil Van Dijk arguing as they went down the tunnel, with players having to hold them back

Liverpool fans loved how their players defended Salah on Twitter, in particular Van Dijk's reaction

One said: "Sokratis having a go at Salah all the way into the tunnel. "Captain Van Dijk comes in and helps out his mate, as does captain Hendo from the bench

I love this team." Another wrote: "Seeing Van Dijk step in at the tunnel amid the snapping of Sokratis was really classy

Leadership." Speaking on BBC Radio Merseyside, former Liverpool left-back Alan Kennedy had no doubts about the penalty

He said: "Of course there was contact. Salah's making his run inside the box – even inside the six-yard box

"He's coming across the face of goal, and for me it's a clear penalty. "Salah's kick was straight down the middle but it was a wonderful strike from a wonderful player

" Liverpool went on to crush Arsenal 5-1 and move nine points clear at the top of the Premier League on Saturday

Firmino, who had scored twice in the first half, completed a hat-trick when Salah's gave him a second-half penalty opportunity

"Mo Salah gave the penalty to Bobby and I almost cried because we all know how much Mo wants to score goals

It was really nice," said Klopp. Liverpool play Manchester City on Thursday at the Etihad in what is the biggest game of the season so far

And Klopp said he was wary of falling into the trap of talking up his team's chances with 18 games of the 38-match campaign remaining

"I'm not the smartest person in the world but I'm really not an idiot. It's not important how many points you are ahead in December

If we drop three points the next headline will be: 'Are they nervous?'" the German told reporters

While Unai Emery put the biggest defeat of his Arsenal reign down to defensive weaknesses

"We had chances and we were getting in their box," Arsenal manager Emery told BT Sport 1

"But we know defensively we need to get better. "We played against Liverpool three years ago in the Europa League

Last year they were in the final of the Champions League and they progress a lot

"It is one example for us and we need to do this progress."
